Aaron Philo, a three-star recruit and redshirt sophomore transferring from Georgia Tech, has earned the starting quarterback role for Florida’s 2024 season — beating out fellow freshman Tramell Jones Jr. Though he saw limited action last year behind Haynes King, Philo’s edge came from his familiarity with Florida’s new offensive system: his former coordinator at Georgia Tech, Buster Faulkner, is now leading Florida’s offense.
