- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I almost Famous podcast.
- 0:03Speaker 2: With I our radio. This is the almost SAMEOS podcast.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Today we are trying something new, not trying doing something new.
- 0:13Speaker 2: This is almost same as podcast today, we are doing
- 0:15Speaker 2: something new. We have taken in your questions. You've sent
- 0:19Speaker 2: us a bunch of questions. We're going to answer them
- 0:21Speaker 2: today because they're some of these questions could be answered
- 0:25Speaker 2: by both Ashley and myself. Our producer Hannah is jumping
- 0:30Speaker 2: on to ask us these questions that she feels our
- 0:33Speaker 2: most juicy or interesting, and then Ashley and I will
- 0:38Speaker 2: both answer them, or one of us will answer them.
- 0:41Speaker 2: This is exciting. Thank you for sending in these questions.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Please don't stop doing that. With that, I'm going to
- 0:46Speaker 2: introduce Ashley and Hannah. Come on in.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Hey guys, we have twenty six questions in front of us.
- 0:52Speaker 3: I don't even want to take a look at them.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I just want Hanah to throw out what she thinks
- 0:55Speaker 3: is the most interesting to both Ben and I. Let's
- 0:59Speaker 3: do it.
- 1:00Speaker 4: There are a lot of questions.
- 1:01Speaker 1: We got a lot of good ones, but I'm going
- 1:03Speaker 1: to start us off with this question. It reads, if
- 1:07Speaker 1: you could choose any former bachelor or Bachelorette to come
- 1:10Speaker 1: back and.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Be the lead again. Who would it be and why.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I'll go first? So there's a couple side questions that
- 1:18Speaker 3: I have for this. Does this person have a significant
- 1:21Speaker 3: other now? Or is if this is like a.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Dream land, dreamland does not matter?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Okay, Well, in a dream land, I think I'd still
- 1:34Speaker 3: want Caitlin Bristow to be the lead again because she
- 1:39Speaker 3: is so entertaining. Even if she had the most boring
- 1:43Speaker 3: cast ever, she would make a great TV show. And
- 1:48Speaker 3: of course she didn't find her happily ever effort through
- 1:50Speaker 3: the actual show, so I think she would be worthy
- 1:53Speaker 3: of getting another chance.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Ben, I would have to say Caitlyn Bristow as well.
- 1:59Speaker 2: I'm biased they so I'll try to pick somebody other
- 2:03Speaker 2: than Caitlin. I think Andy Dorfman season was fun to watch,
- 2:08Speaker 2: and desire A you Know was a good one as well.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Like those two stand out to me as iconic seasons.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I'm surprised you didn't say Emily Maynard.
- 2:18Speaker 3: In my head already had two seasons. I'm not sure why.
- 2:22Speaker 3: I think it's because she won Brad season and we
- 2:25Speaker 3: never see the winner end up becoming the lead, So
- 2:30Speaker 3: in my head she had to.
- 2:32Speaker 2: My Bachelor pick is like so good. I have two
- 2:37Speaker 2: Andrew Firestone because I just love being around him and
- 2:41Speaker 2: watching him and I have the same I love being
- 2:43Speaker 2: around and watching just this person operate life, Bob Guinea.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I think those two coming back for a season would
- 2:51Speaker 2: just be good television, and because I like them as humans.
- 2:56Speaker 3: If I had to pick Bachelor again, I would be
- 2:58Speaker 3: not in a dreamland, it would be right here in
- 3:02Speaker 3: solid reality, and it would be Chris Sols. I just
- 3:06Speaker 3: really want him to have his happily ever after, and
- 3:09Speaker 3: now that he's sober, like he might just bet. He's
- 3:12Speaker 3: just such a different place in life. I just really
- 3:15Speaker 3: feel like that man needs to be a father and
- 3:18Speaker 3: a husband because he'll be so good at it.
- 3:21Speaker 2: That has a great choice. I didn't even think about that,
- 3:23Speaker 2: but yeah, Chris Soles coming back, it would be a
- 3:25Speaker 2: lot of fun.
- 3:26Speaker 3: There's a sweetness about him too.
- 3:28Speaker 4: All right.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Next question, if you could change the ending of any
- 3:31Speaker 1: season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, which one would
- 3:34Speaker 1: you choose and tell us the outcome you wish had happened.
- 3:37Speaker 3: M you go first.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I'm gonna say Gen season. I think it was the
- 3:42Speaker 2: worst too. Okay, Yeah, I think it was the worst
- 3:45Speaker 2: ending to a season we've ever seen, and I think
- 3:47Speaker 2: it was. I think we're seeing the ramifications of how
- 3:55Speaker 2: that season ended now with the Bachelorette not coming back
- 4:00Speaker 2: and people kind of checking out. I think Jen had
- 4:05Speaker 2: a very poor cast, So how I wish that season
- 4:09Speaker 2: would have ended. Well, she would have given the peace
- 4:11Speaker 2: sign to all of them, said you ain't worthy, I'm out.
- 4:17Speaker 2: We'll talk later, And that's how it would have ended
- 4:20Speaker 2: in my mind, and I would have loved it.
- 4:22Speaker 3: So when you get annulment, apparently you can put fraud
- 4:26Speaker 3: as a reason for getting an annulment. I just know
- 4:28Speaker 3: this from a Renee zelig Er checked off that box
- 4:31Speaker 3: when she was getting divorced from Kenny Chesney. They were
- 4:33Speaker 3: only married for like six weeks, and I feel like
- 4:37Speaker 3: that's Jen. She experienced fraud.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it just I think looking back, there's no
- 4:43Speaker 2: other seasons like seasons have had dramatic endings, right. We
- 4:46Speaker 2: think about the ri situation, we think about the Peter
- 4:49Speaker 2: Webber season, but those made like I know, it seems
- 4:53Speaker 2: drama like, dramatic and chaotic, but they make sense on
- 4:57Speaker 2: how it happened. They make sense on that they good people,
- 5:00Speaker 2: We're involved, feelings were mixed up, a lot of chaos.
- 5:05Speaker 2: You know what, great television, We'll call it good gen
- 5:08Speaker 2: season felt like just a letdown at every level, and
- 5:14Speaker 2: then continued to be post with the finale. So I
- 5:17Speaker 2: would say that season, for sure, out of all the seasons,
- 5:19Speaker 2: would be the one I would change.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah, good, good answers all.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Right, next question, if you could remove one thing from
- 5:26Speaker 1: the show that you think negatively impacts the relationships, what
- 5:29Speaker 1: would it be?
- 5:31Speaker 3: This is a good question.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I was gonna say tell All's, but then again, like
- 5:36Speaker 2: we just talked to Zachary Reality and he loves tell Alls,
- 5:40Speaker 2: So yeah, I know.
- 5:42Speaker 3: See, like I fantasy suites, as we talked about in
- 5:44Speaker 3: our previous episode of the Regist Record with Gabby el Nikki,
- 5:48Speaker 3: is that like they're called disappointment week or you could
- 5:52Speaker 3: call them like regret week or whatever. But I do
- 5:55Speaker 3: feel like what you get from a fantasy suite, which
- 5:59Speaker 3: is a for the first time, is so vital. Yeah,
- 6:04Speaker 3: how can you do it in a way that's not
- 6:06Speaker 3: so sloppy?
- 6:08Speaker 2: It doesn't have to be sloppy. I don't think there's
- 6:10Speaker 2: I think that is up to the contestants, and so
- 6:13Speaker 2: we'd have to say like that that you can't change
- 6:15Speaker 2: that part of the show. I will say this, this
- 6:17Speaker 2: would be my answer. The thing that brings no drama
- 6:20Speaker 2: to the show, really, it brings nothing interesting to me
- 6:23Speaker 2: from the show, and it just feels unhealthy at every level.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Is the amount of exposure or how the show allows
- 6:30Speaker 2: others to watch, like the one on one relationships, meaning
- 6:34Speaker 2: like especially when there's kissing involved, there's typically like people watching,
- 6:39Speaker 2: sitting on a couch watching and they've set that up
- 6:41Speaker 2: so that they can see it. And I would just
- 6:44Speaker 2: say we could get rid of that on the show.
- 6:45Speaker 2: It doesn't really ever make a storyline and it's more
- 6:48Speaker 2: just awkward and it's it's hard to move forward when
- 6:53Speaker 2: you're seeing like the front Runner doing that with the lead.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So I would just get that up. It just it's
- 6:59Speaker 2: a non factor.
- 7:00Speaker 3: That's good. That's a good answer, all right.
- 7:02Speaker 4: This next question is fun. I love this one.
- 7:05Speaker 1: It says if the show brought back a second chance
- 7:08Speaker 1: season for former contestants to find love again, who would
- 7:11Speaker 1: you be interested in being a part of it?
- 7:13Speaker 3: That sounds paradise no.
- 7:14Speaker 1: But if if they chose a lead in all of
- 7:17Speaker 1: the contestants that came back.
- 7:18Speaker 4: We're on the show again. Let's say that.
- 7:21Speaker 3: It's the they just redid the entire show again with the.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Same contestants that stand out to you. Yeah, a few
- 7:27Speaker 2: contestants that stand out to you.
- 7:28Speaker 4: From the past.
- 7:30Speaker 2: From the past, who would you want to see come.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Back as part of a main cast on one of
- 7:34Speaker 3: the main shows not Paradise.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yes, I think I can think of a few. Peter Weber,
- 7:39Speaker 2: Chris Sols you just mentioned would love. I would love
- 7:42Speaker 2: to see the two of them coming back. A lot
- 7:46Speaker 2: of the women.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Jen, I'd want to see Jen Jen.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Would come back. I think that'd be great. As you mentioned,
- 7:52Speaker 2: like a Caitlin Bristow would be an amazing cast member
- 7:56Speaker 2: because we still don't have any confirmation in this world
- 7:58Speaker 2: on where she stands romantically. She could be single, she
- 8:04Speaker 2: could be single. Jason Tarctick, I think would be great
- 8:08Speaker 2: to throw in there, just because he's single and he
- 8:12Speaker 2: comes to mind, and he was a, you know, a
- 8:14Speaker 2: big character during those seasons. A lot of the people
- 8:19Speaker 2: from the show, and it would be interesting to do
- 8:21Speaker 2: a little research and find out, like who is still
- 8:23Speaker 2: single that came off this show all.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Star Cast is basically like your is your paradise on
- 8:30Speaker 3: on steroids? Right?
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 8:32Speaker 3: Those are good, Those are good answers Rachel.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Yeah, she'd be a top for us, Rachel. Reki on
- 8:43Speaker 2: another season would just be fantastic.
- 8:45Speaker 3: She's great TV and she's so lovable.
- 8:58Speaker 1: All right. Next question, I think this is kind of fun.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Would you be open to a version of The Bachelor
- 9:03Speaker 1: slash the Bachelorette where no one gets eliminated until the
- 9:07Speaker 1: very end, forcing the lead to really get to know everyone.
- 9:11Speaker 3: No, I would not be okay with that, but I
- 9:13Speaker 3: would like there to be more stages where it's like, Okay,
- 9:18Speaker 3: we're going to do the first night and we're going
- 9:20Speaker 3: to eliminate anybody that I feel like nothing with, and
- 9:23Speaker 3: then I'm going to have this group of twenty and
- 9:25Speaker 3: I'm going to get to know them for three weeks,
- 9:28Speaker 3: and then I'll narrow it down to ten, and then
- 9:31Speaker 3: from ten, I'll go to four three weeks after that.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I don't think i'd be okay with it because I
- 9:36Speaker 2: think the way it works now works, it's very it's
- 9:41Speaker 2: very rare that somebody that's eliminating, like week two, the
- 9:46Speaker 2: lead is like, I wish I wouldn't have, I know, right,
- 9:48Speaker 2: and so it all kind of plays its way itself
- 9:52Speaker 2: out the way it should over time. I mean, I'm
- 9:56Speaker 2: sure there's some like I wish she would have been
- 9:58Speaker 2: there or he would have been there another week, but
- 10:01Speaker 2: it's very rare that you're like, can I bring that
- 10:03Speaker 2: person back from week two just to see if there's something?
- 10:06Speaker 2: So I like the way it is. I don't think
- 10:08Speaker 2: it needs a change.
- 10:10Speaker 3: You're right, Ben, and this is coming from you in
- 10:13Speaker 3: the lead perspective. I guess I'm just thinking about ways
- 10:15Speaker 3: we can mix up the show, but it probably would
- 10:18Speaker 3: actually be more boring that way, because it would feel
- 10:21Speaker 3: like less consequence if there wasn't an elimination every week.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Next question, if you could choose one controversial moment from
- 10:30Speaker 1: the show to revisit in a reunion style special, which
- 10:34Speaker 1: one would you choose and why?
- 10:36Speaker 2: I would love to see Sean Loh and Nick Vile
- 10:38Speaker 2: sit on a couch together again and just start talking
- 10:42Speaker 2: about the situation that happened on Caitlin season, because I
- 10:45Speaker 2: know the two of them.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Would still got Sean low.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Oh, Shan bou Sorry, Shaan Booth and Nick to sit
- 10:51Speaker 2: down again because I know the two of them would
- 10:53Speaker 2: still like talk about it, like they would both be
- 10:56Speaker 2: willing to like revisit it and hash it out a
- 10:59Speaker 2: little bit, and I think it wouldn't be like a
- 11:03Speaker 2: pretty perfect outcome. I also would say this, I would
- 11:08Speaker 2: love if Jen could have a second chance on the
- 11:11Speaker 2: couch with Devin Ough just like now without reairing that moment,
- 11:17Speaker 2: where they could reair it again the emotions are gone
- 11:20Speaker 2: and just see what happens.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yes, good answers. Okay, I'm thinking Nick with Josh Murray
- 11:26Speaker 3: because that would be a really funny showdown as well,
- 11:29Speaker 3: because they had it on TV, and I just think
- 11:31Speaker 3: in real life they also just do not want to
- 11:34Speaker 3: be in the same room together. And then the ultimate
- 11:39Speaker 3: red Couch moment whatever was with Vienna and Jake Palvaka,
- 11:46Speaker 3: and I would love to just see if they still
- 11:48Speaker 3: hate each other too.
- 11:50Speaker 2: That'd be good.
- 11:51Speaker 4: These are good ones. Okay.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Next question, if you could have a conversation with your
- 11:55Speaker 1: younger self before going on the show, what would you
- 11:57Speaker 1: tell yourself.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I would tell myself pretty much, do exactly what you did,
- 12:04Speaker 3: maybe close your mouth just for a few more moments,
- 12:07Speaker 3: just like, say a couple few less dumb things in
- 12:10Speaker 3: the interview room, but besides that, all the big things.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Do those again.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I actually I'm going to add to the last question
- 12:19Speaker 2: that I didn't think of. I would love to see
- 12:21Speaker 2: Ashley and Kelsey on a couch. That would still be good.
- 12:28Speaker 2: It would be good. I would say, have more fun,
- 12:33Speaker 2: like lighten up a little bit, loosen up, enjoy it,
- 12:37Speaker 2: soak it in, have more fun with it.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Next question, do you think a bachelor or bachelorette should
- 12:44Speaker 1: be allowed to look at social media during the process?
- 12:47Speaker 4: Why or why not?
- 12:50Speaker 3: I don't have a strong opinion on this. You think yes, yes,
- 12:55Speaker 3: you think the social media tells you that much about somebody.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I think it's tells you more than what you see
- 13:01Speaker 2: on the show, and I think it would help. I
- 13:03Speaker 2: think it would help. I don't think it would change
- 13:04Speaker 2: the elimination process, but I think it would help the
- 13:06Speaker 2: clarity of everybody. If you had that kind of insight
- 13:13Speaker 2: on what was being shared before, I think it would
- 13:15Speaker 2: have answered a lot of questions. And I think the
- 13:19Speaker 2: drama could still exist. But I would love to see
- 13:22Speaker 2: like a little part of an episode at like week
- 13:25Speaker 2: five where the lead sits down with like an investigator
- 13:30Speaker 2: and they go through social media and like, what do
- 13:31Speaker 2: you who do you want to look up? Here's you
- 13:33Speaker 2: get four people out of your eight look up four
- 13:36Speaker 2: of them. Who do you want to look up? And
- 13:37Speaker 2: what do you want to find? I think it would.
- 13:39Speaker 2: I think it would be a fine element.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Okay, I don't want to too my own horn, but like,
- 13:43Speaker 3: I feel like I'm pretty authentic to myself on social media,
- 13:45Speaker 3: which is probably why I'm like, I don't know if
- 13:47Speaker 3: it would make a difference, but yeah, you're right, Like
- 13:50Speaker 3: it could tell you a lot about somebody, especially when
- 13:54Speaker 3: you're in the bubble.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Next question is do you think Bachelor in Paradise is
- 14:02Speaker 1: a healthier environment for finding love compared to the main show.
- 14:07Speaker 3: I do because you are more in a real life,
- 14:10Speaker 3: living environment. You're not getting just fantasy dates and just
- 14:14Speaker 3: time to be on your best behavior. This person is
- 14:19Speaker 3: watching you just be for up to twenty five days,
- 14:25Speaker 3: and you have so much more time to talk to them,
- 14:30Speaker 3: and so much more off camera time to talk to them,
- 14:32Speaker 3: Like you could talk for up to sixteen seventeen hours
- 14:37Speaker 3: a day. You get to know somebody so well, which
- 14:40Speaker 3: is why I think that you see the more successful
- 14:42Speaker 3: couples coming from Menha.
- 14:44Speaker 2: I don't really have an opinion. I've never really been
- 14:46Speaker 2: so I don't really know.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a hard one for Ben to Ben sir, Okay,
- 14:52Speaker 1: we're going to end on this question super blunt. This
- 14:54Speaker 1: question is from Emily. She says, be honest, do you
- 14:57Speaker 1: think this is a dying franchise?
- 15:00Speaker 2: It matters? I mean, I think there's it matters what
- 15:03Speaker 2: you mean by dying. Do I believe that the show
- 15:06Speaker 2: is on a path to probably throwing up the white flag? Yes?
- 15:10Speaker 2: Do I believe it has to be. No, because I
- 15:12Speaker 2: don't think it's dying in compared compared to other shows
- 15:17Speaker 2: that are on network cable television. I think it's hitting
- 15:20Speaker 2: a really rough patch. I think they need to spark
- 15:23Speaker 2: it up a little bit. I do believe there's still
- 15:26Speaker 2: life there, and I think there's enough interest in kind
- 15:30Speaker 2: of that like following to make this a very healthy
- 15:33Speaker 2: network show. But I do believe changes will have to
- 15:38Speaker 2: be made in a way that makes it a little
- 15:41Speaker 2: more relevant, a little more exciting, a little more more
- 15:45Speaker 2: talked about. And so I think there's two sides to that.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I do think that we're on the fringe of the
- 15:54Speaker 2: show not getting renewed, but I don't believe that will
- 15:58Speaker 2: be the end of it, If that makes sense.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I pretty much believe and have believed for a while
- 16:07Speaker 3: with the spark that I got from Gary season and
- 16:10Speaker 3: Joey's season, aside that it probably seems to be better
- 16:14Speaker 3: suited on something like Hulu. You know, ABC Disney owns Hulu.
- 16:18Speaker 3: I think that people would maybe want to see it
- 16:21Speaker 3: in a binge format, and I think that they do
- 16:25Speaker 3: need to tweak some of it because some episodes really
- 16:28Speaker 3: drag on The two hour format might be a little
- 16:30Speaker 3: bit antiquated these days. I think that they need to
- 16:35Speaker 3: focus more on one on one dates and less on
- 16:38Speaker 3: group dates, especially group date activities. Is there If there's
- 16:40Speaker 3: good drama from you know, the cocktail portion, that's always
- 16:44Speaker 3: fun to watch. I think if they added an element
- 16:47Speaker 3: of realism there would be that would be good, whether
- 16:52Speaker 3: that's like going to hometown's earlier, getting to see people,
- 16:56Speaker 3: like kind of like what they do with Meridith for
- 16:58Speaker 3: a site where they have to go, and like kind
- 16:59Speaker 3: of they have regular life together. That would be interesting.
- 17:02Speaker 3: I guess I do that in Love is Blind as well.
- 17:04Speaker 3: I think that there needs to be a more interactive
- 17:06Speaker 3: way to choose the lead. I think that they need
- 17:08Speaker 3: to listen to the fans more. And if that's like
- 17:11Speaker 3: a nationwide Dancing with the Stars like Pole, that would
- 17:14Speaker 3: be really cool. But yeah, something needs to be just
- 17:17Speaker 3: twisted a bit to make it a little bit more relevant.
- 17:21Speaker 3: But I think that could go on for quite some time,
- 17:23Speaker 3: just maybe not on ABC Monday nights.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So to answer the question, do you believe it's dying?
- 17:29Speaker 3: Uh No, I don't think it is dying. I think
- 17:31Speaker 3: it needs to be reiterated.
- 17:32Speaker 2: So you think it's you think at some level it's
- 17:34Speaker 2: going to exist for the next five ten years.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I think it's hard to imagine a modern television situation
- 17:44Speaker 3: where the Bachelor's not included in it. It's such a staple.
- 17:48Speaker 3: I don't think it's going to leave. No, I don't
- 17:52Speaker 3: think it's gonna leave. I think it's gonna be like
- 17:53Speaker 3: reborn in a way.
- 17:56Speaker 2: That's the final question today. We're going to continue to
