- 0:00Speaker 1: Canada is moving into a crypto war. Today, we're going
- 0:02Speaker 1: to be breaking it down for you guys because I
- 0:04Speaker 1: think this news has slipped a bit under the radar
- 0:07Speaker 1: as we're starting to see why Solana is surging. Before
- 0:10Speaker 1: we do that, I want to thank our sponsor. That's
- 0:12Speaker 1: iTrust Capital, where you guys can get into your own
- 0:14Speaker 1: crypto IRA, cryptocurrency, stocks, gold and silver, all available over
- 0:18Speaker 1: on iTrust Capital. One account, unlimited possibilities. This is one

- 0:27Speaker 1: have a current IRA, you can transfer that. If you
- 0:31Speaker 1: want to start a brand new IRA, you can also

- 0:39Speaker 1: get started. And you're going to have to start tax
- 0:40Speaker 1: planning soon. And IRAs are one of the diversification things
- 0:43Speaker 1: that you should be doing to set yourself up for success.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Let's break it all down. I do want to start
- 0:48Speaker 2: with this right here.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Solana is rising above 120 for the first time since January,
- 0:54Speaker 1: now up over 100% this year. Can you imagine investing
- 0:58Speaker 1: in Solana? Well, if you watch on our channel, you
- 1:00Speaker 1: were investing in Solana, so kudos to you. But are
- 1:02Speaker 1: you selling Solana at 120, or do you think this
- 1:06Speaker 1: is just the beginning? Let me know in the comments
- 1:08Speaker 1: down below. I want to play a clip for you guys,
- 1:11Speaker 1: because this is Canada choosing Solana.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 1:14Speaker 3: I think what Kasim was speaking about with the agentic opportunities,
- 1:18Speaker 3: I completely agree that's very important. But for us right now,
- 1:22Speaker 3: we're focused on making sure that stablecoins work in Canada.
- 1:26Speaker 3: And so the features aren't really the exciting ones. It's
- 1:29Speaker 3: more the boring ones, I would say. Token extensions, transfer hooks.
- 1:36Speaker 3: This one's a little bit maybe, come talk to me
- 1:38Speaker 3: if you don't feel good about it, but permanent delegate,
- 1:40Speaker 3: we can freeze or recover when a court declares it.
- 1:42Speaker 3: That's part of what we have to legally be able
- 1:44Speaker 3: to do to be able to operate in Canada. Solana
- 1:47Speaker 3: allows us to do these things.
- 1:50Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:50Speaker 1: So a couple of things that they hit on there.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Interesting statements is that Canada is moving to a Canadian
- 1:57Speaker 1: dollar within the Solana ecosystem. Interesting point she got on.
- 2:01Speaker 2: There at the end, which is the ability to freeze.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That's something that I think the Canadian government has been
- 2:06Speaker 1: able to do in the past.
- 2:07Speaker 2: They'll be able to do it now with your stable coins.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And of course, you've got this right here where Tetra
- 2:13Speaker 1: Digital is launching CADD, which is the Canadian dollar stable
- 2:18Speaker 1: coin on Solana, you'll be able to get this on-chain.
- 2:21Speaker 1: So if you're a Canadian and you're buying crypto today,
- 2:25Speaker 1: obviously you're probably buying Solana, but I'm kind of curious,
- 2:28Speaker 1: are you willing to go ahead and start to move
- 2:30Speaker 1: your assets into a Canadian dollar stable coin, or would
- 2:34Speaker 1: you continue to use Tether, USDC, or other stable coins
- 2:39Speaker 1: out there Let me know. I'm kind of curious of
- 2:41Speaker 1: how that might play out. One of the news that
- 2:44Speaker 1: is good for Solana is App and Glow, of course,
- 2:46Speaker 1: is rolled out on testnet now. The new system could
- 2:49Speaker 1: make Solana transactions finality 85 times faster in terms of speed.
- 2:56Speaker 1: And that is huge because when you look at it
- 2:58Speaker 1: right there on that image, you can kind of see
- 2:59Speaker 1: the speed that's happening here at 150 milliseconds versus 12.8. Guys,
- 3:05Speaker 1: we're talking about next evolution finance and it's happening right now.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Six Canadian banks are exploring tokenized deposit initiative. This is
- 3:14Speaker 1: something we reported on not too long ago. And this,
- 3:17Speaker 1: of course, I think is still something that we will
- 3:19Speaker 1: see traditional finance move forward on. Remember, though, Canada was
- 3:24Speaker 1: first to crypto ETFs. They were first to a lot
- 3:27Speaker 1: of innovation in finance. And now they are first to
- 3:30Speaker 1: essentially a true Canadian dollar on a stable coin, that
- 3:35Speaker 1: the US government, I should say the Canadian government, is
- 3:37Speaker 1: pretty much in control of.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So that is a big step in the right direction.
- 3:42Speaker 1: If you look at Scotiabank, which is adding multi-crypto ETFs,
- 3:46Speaker 1: all of this is happening via 3iQ. This is, again,
- 3:50Speaker 1: just more advancements that's happening out of one of the
- 3:53Speaker 1: big ones that has been out there really looking at
- 3:56Speaker 1: crypto for quite some time, and that is Canada. The
- 3:58Speaker 1: fund offers exposure on four crypto projects out there, Bitcoin, ETH, Solana,
- 4:03Speaker 1: and XRP. This is all rolling out until March of 2027.
- 4:09Speaker 1: So pricing, of course, could be accordingly to that. And
- 4:13Speaker 1: these are big tokens. I mean, these are the biggest
- 4:15Speaker 1: tokens out there on the exchanges. And of course, in
- 4:17Speaker 1: terms of overall market cap, other companies that are moving
- 4:21Speaker 1: into Canada. Well, you've got Robinhood talking about this right now,
- 4:24Speaker 1: that crypto is just their first step into Canada. As
- 4:28Speaker 1: Johan is talking about how they are moving not only
- 4:31Speaker 1: the brokerage, but also the trading platform. and they want
- 4:34Speaker 1: to bring more competition into the Canadian market. You've got
- 4:37Speaker 1: Coinbase joining in right there with Coinbase launching its derivative
- 4:41Speaker 1: contracts in Canada. So these are American companies starting to
- 4:45Speaker 1: move into Canada. Now, the question will be, do they
- 4:49Speaker 1: get the kind of embrace that other countries have had
- 4:52Speaker 1: with these kind of companies or not?
- 4:55Speaker 2: Well, we'll see pretty quickly.
- 4:57Speaker 3: U.S.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Private equity, though, is on the other side.
- 4:59Speaker 1: They're actually buying Canada's biggest payment processor, This may not
- 5:03Speaker 1: be a good thing. Some people are worried about sovereignty.
- 5:07Speaker 1: But I think the bigger issue here, has Canada moved on?
- 5:12Speaker 1: Are they looking at next generation finance after watching what's
- 5:16Speaker 1: happened here in the U.S. with our own Congress failing
- 5:20Speaker 1: in clarity? Is Canada saying, hey, maybe now is the
- 5:23Speaker 1: step forward we need to take? I want to play
- 5:25Speaker 1: a clip for you because this is Canada explaining a
- 5:29Speaker 1: little bit more about the partnership with the EU.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Opening the door to Canada to become the European Union's
- 5:37Speaker 5: first associate member. Canada and Europe should consider exploring an
- 5:44Speaker 5: integrated market for financial services to broaden choice and reduce
- 5:48Speaker 5: costs for our citizens, to improve access to capital for
- 5:52Speaker 5: our companies while maintaining our world-leading financial resilience.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You had Carney kind of placing what they're planning and
- 6:03Speaker 1: going into the EU with more of a deeper relationship
- 6:07Speaker 1: and partnership. If you look at the MECA regulated exchanges,
- 6:13Speaker 1: this is kind of an interesting play because I want
- 6:15Speaker 1: you to think about where Canada could be playing in
- 6:18Speaker 1: terms of even a little bit looser to the vest
- 6:22Speaker 1: and maybe a little bit more innovative than even the
- 6:25Speaker 1: EU when it comes to their MECA regulations and Could
- 6:27Speaker 1: Canada be setting up for possibly a global position to
- 6:32Speaker 1: try to get into the crypto markets? Remember, there's three
- 6:34Speaker 1: major markets, if you look at it, outside of the U.S.
- 6:38Speaker 1: You obviously have the Asian markets, which are in major
- 6:41Speaker 1: control to a certain extent. Dubai had a good pole position.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Things have changed slightly there. MECA has, of course, set
- 6:48Speaker 1: up the EU potentially, and is Canada trying to get
- 6:50Speaker 1: a pole position now with what they are doing around stablecoins?
- 6:54Speaker 1: I want to go to another clip. Because this may
- 6:56Speaker 1: have been a plan all along. This is Carney eight
- 7:00Speaker 1: years ago.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 7:02Speaker 4: I mean, so part of the genius, if you will,
- 7:05Speaker 4: of cryptocurrencies is that, as we all know, they're distributed.
- 7:08Speaker 4: They cut out the central banks, they cut out the banks,
- 7:10Speaker 4: and they're ideally directly peer-to-peer between you and I.
- 7:14Speaker 6: If you're J.P.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Morgan or any financial institution, you're basically saying you think
- 7:18Speaker 2: the most positive thing about this technology is it can
- 7:21Speaker 2: get rid of all the profits that you make as
- 7:23Speaker 2: a financial intermediary.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Is that basically where you're going?
- 7:26Speaker 6: Well, look.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Payment costs are going to keep going down. The profits
- 7:31Speaker 4: from this business, I would expect, will go down.
- 7:33Speaker 2: All right.
- 7:35Speaker 1: So there you have Carney kind of putting a bullseye
- 7:37Speaker 1: on the business that JPMorgan and many financial institutions.
- 7:40Speaker 2: And remember, the U.S.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Is pretty much the mecca of financial services and especially
- 7:47Speaker 1: the mecca of financial profits when it comes to Wall
- 7:49Speaker 1: Street and some of the biggest funds out there. And
- 7:52Speaker 1: maybe Carney has planned this all along, and this is
- 7:56Speaker 1: just the step in which he was placed into Canada
- 8:00Speaker 1: from the EU to be able to orchestrate all of
- 8:02Speaker 1: this happening as it is right now. Now, there are
- 8:05Speaker 1: some things that still have to be done in terms
- 8:07Speaker 1: of a good transition, and that usually requires somebody in
- 8:12Speaker 1: the middle. And who is our favorite Canadian? Well, you
- 8:16Speaker 1: got Kevin O'Leary.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Watch this clip.
- 8:20Speaker 6: I came down yesterday from... The Carney Economic Summit. I
- 8:27Speaker 6: attended the sessions and he did something that's never happened before.
- 8:30Speaker 6: He basically got the provinces competing with each other like
- 8:34Speaker 6: it was a shark tank. Each premier had a microphone.
- 8:37Speaker 6: They had a trillion dollars in the room, investors like me,
- 8:41Speaker 6: and they got to pitch for eight minutes, just like
- 8:43Speaker 6: Shark Tank. And I looked at it and said, there's
- 8:45Speaker 6: only two winners. All right, so Kevin thinks this is
- 8:48Speaker 6: a short-lived trade war.
- 9:16Speaker 1: He thinks that the partnership is just a matter of
- 9:18Speaker 1: steps away. All right, I've got one more clip here
- 9:22Speaker 1: by Kevin, and he's starting to kind of correlate maybe
- 9:26Speaker 1: a new strategy here.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So let's take a look.
- 9:29Speaker 6: The assumption was that the Clarity Act was going to pass.
- 9:32Speaker 6: And so most of the analysts at the conference said, OK,
- 9:35Speaker 6: it's time to allocate one or two percent into crypto.
- 9:38Speaker 2: What names?
- 9:39Speaker 6: And then the Clarity Act didn't pass, so we had
- 9:42Speaker 6: 27 positions on. We got rid of some of them
- 9:44Speaker 6: before that conference, and then the rest we got slaughtered on.
- 9:47Speaker 6: But we kept our BTC and our ETH. It's not
- 9:51Speaker 6: clear that Ethereum is going to be the winner blockchain
- 9:54Speaker 6: for all sectors of the economy. Swano?
- 9:57Speaker 2: And Avalanche. I remember hearing that name.
- 9:59Speaker 6: Because it turns out Avalanche can develop your own private
- 10:04Speaker 6: chain easily. How are we going to adopt blockchain into
- 10:08Speaker 6: each of the 11 sectors? Is it one standard? Then
- 10:11Speaker 6: you want to own that one. If it was Ethereum,
- 10:12Speaker 6: you'd want to own it. Or is each sector going
- 10:16Speaker 6: to adopt a different chain?
- 10:20Speaker 1: All right, so to Kevin's credit is that he has
- 10:25Speaker 1: identified a little bit late that there are actually multiple
- 10:29Speaker 1: chains out there, and there are chains that definitely can
- 10:33Speaker 1: run around this new economy, and Avalanche would be a
- 10:36Speaker 1: good example of one. Solana would be another one. If
- 10:38Speaker 1: you look at what Bitwise is doing right here, this
- 10:41Speaker 1: is one week out, and this is what they are
- 10:43Speaker 1: doing in terms of asset allocation. You've got Near Protocol
- 10:48Speaker 1: leading the charge, but Avalanche right behind it. And then
- 10:51Speaker 1: when you go into DeFi, you got Uniswap and Athena
- 10:53Speaker 1: right behind it. Obviously, you can kind of see there
- 10:57Speaker 1: is a pattern here. And that is there is a situation,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I think, where we do see a multi-chain world. That
- 11:04Speaker 1: will be the case. Will there be a bunch of them?
- 11:06Speaker 1: Probably not. There will be a handful, just like there
- 11:09Speaker 1: are right now with infrastructure that pretty much exists globally
- 11:14Speaker 1: to move assets.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And I think that will be the case.
- 11:17Speaker 1: But it will boil down to either the chains that
- 11:21Speaker 1: are already here, or guess what, guys? There actually may.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Be a new player that's not even in the game yet.
- 11:26Speaker 1: So this is the kind of tech innovation that we
- 11:28Speaker 1: are facing, and I think everyone needs to get ready
- 11:32Speaker 1: for that because it's going to happen. You've got a
- 11:35Speaker 1: billion in AUM. You've got Zcash absolutely hitting a new milestone. This,
- 11:39Speaker 1: of course, is a privacy component that still will continue
- 11:43Speaker 1: to play out here. Whether you believe in Zcash or not,
- 11:46Speaker 1: the key is you've got to understand privacy is going
- 11:49Speaker 1: to be a key position that I think a lot
- 11:51Speaker 1: of people are going to look at. So privacy will
- 11:54Speaker 1: play a huge role. It's going to be one of
- 11:57Speaker 1: the critical ones for institutions to come in. But I
- 11:59Speaker 1: think it's going to be one of the critical components
- 12:02Speaker 1: for even the sophisticated investor. And that, I think, is
- 12:05Speaker 1: going to be a transition of wealth from the boomers
- 12:08Speaker 1: to Gen Z and Gen Y millennials. And that in
- 12:12Speaker 1: themselves are going to be looking for those kinds of solutions.
- 12:15Speaker 1: So watch for those as well. Now, Tom Lee is
- 12:18Speaker 1: looking six months out and says there are some things
- 12:21Speaker 1: that are prepping up right now that you need to
- 12:24Speaker 1: pay attention to.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 12:27Speaker 7: But I think what's kind of lost in the conversation
- 12:29Speaker 7: is two things. Number one is where will rates be
- 12:34Speaker 7: in six months because where will inflation be? And second,
- 12:39Speaker 7: I think rising yields make sense. competition better for stronger companies,
- 12:44Speaker 7: meaning there are going to be some companies that actually
- 12:47Speaker 7: become more attractive as yields rise. And I think as
- 12:49Speaker 7: you're pointing out, Scott, that's probably why the mag seven
- 12:52Speaker 7: are rising, you know, as, as yields rise, their ability
- 12:54Speaker 7: to fund still becomes is easy, but for competitors, it's tougher.
- 12:59Speaker 7: And on the inflation side, I, I still think the
- 13:03Speaker 7: next six months will be the most important because of
- 13:05Speaker 7: inflation starts to decline. This is not because of the
- 13:08Speaker 7: Fed hikes that happened last week. It's because of the
- 13:12Speaker 7: policy that's already in place. And I think that means
- 13:15Speaker 7: the Fed could actually walk back some of that hawkishness.
- 13:18Speaker 2: All right.
- 13:18Speaker 1: So if Tom is right and inflation subsides, there would
- 13:23Speaker 1: have to be a lot of key things that would
- 13:25Speaker 1: have to happen, mostly generated around energy. Then, yeah, that's
- 13:30Speaker 1: a possibility that we could see an alternate.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Pathway for the Fed to go forward.
- 13:36Speaker 1: The other issue that I think plays into this on
- 13:38Speaker 1: a macro standpoint may be the acceleration curve that we're
- 13:42Speaker 1: looking at with crypto and AI. And that still, I think,
- 13:45Speaker 1: is the bigger angle here, whether you want to look
- 13:48Speaker 1: on the anti-AI side of things or you want to
- 13:51Speaker 1: look on the pro-AI side of things, because this is
- 13:54Speaker 1: going to, I think, at some point, most investors are
- 13:57Speaker 1: going to get to a point where they understand that
- 13:59Speaker 1: crypto and AI are in lockstep. And One doesn't succeed
- 14:03Speaker 1: without the other because at some point, commerce is going
- 14:06Speaker 1: to be transacted and transacting within an AI ecosystem. Blockchain
- 14:10Speaker 1: is the narrative and it's the natural.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Evolution of it.
- 14:13Speaker 1: So to Tom's point, this is all going to boil
- 14:16Speaker 1: around productivity as to whether or not we see inflation
- 14:20Speaker 1: start to come down. If we do and Warsh can
- 14:24Speaker 1: step back rates, then yeah, you're looking for a potential
- 14:27Speaker 1: bull run here, guys, that we have not seen before.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Before.
- 14:30Speaker 1: So let me know in the comments if you think
- 14:32Speaker 1: that's about to happen, and we're going to be covering
- 14:35Speaker 1: this and a lot more.
- 14:36Speaker 2: So stay tuned.
