- 0:03Speaker 1: This is a podcast called twenty five whist Fun and
- 0:08Speaker 1: they will whist so yes bad, But what did you expect?
- 0:13Speaker 1: It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles brought you by
- 0:20Speaker 1: a Draft Kings sports book. Appreciate you guys being here.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Draft Kings an official sports betting partner of the NFL.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Download the Draft Kings app and used the code Bobby
- 0:27Speaker 1: sports to get in on the action. Let me whistle
- 0:31Speaker 1: us in and let me and Jordan Davis is here.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Who she's just part of the crew. Now I feel
- 0:35Speaker 1: like I love to do the show. And you just
- 0:37Speaker 1: hear his voice. Jordan's good to see a buddy. Have
- 0:39Speaker 1: you been to come once? Since? I just kept coming?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Nobody told me to stop. It sounds gross when you
- 0:47Speaker 1: turn Jordan's sexy voice up just a little bit more.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Oh man, do I need to talk louder? Now? You
- 0:52Speaker 1: are right there? You're all right, dirt boy. Have you
- 0:54Speaker 1: been in here since you won the CMA for this show? Hey,
- 0:57Speaker 1: look at this guy. Jordan Davis went up for by
- 1:00Speaker 1: Dirt Wow. But mostly he's proud of the fact that
- 1:04Speaker 1: he was able to beat me in a bet. We
- 1:07Speaker 1: bet on the l s U Arkansas game. And we
- 1:09Speaker 1: didn't even have our quarterback. So I mean, it's almost
- 1:11Speaker 1: like you should go never mind, but hey, whatever, almost
- 1:14Speaker 1: beat us. No bets bets bets a bet, that's true.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I think I think we made the bet. I didn't whatever,
- 1:22Speaker 1: and so George's like, let's do it. Let's bet that
- 1:24Speaker 1: say cool. So we said, let's go to dinner. The
- 1:26Speaker 1: loser has to pay for dinner. And I'm like, great,
- 1:28Speaker 1: but I know how Jordan is one of the nicest guys.
- 1:30Speaker 1: And we go to dinner in Jordan and be like,
- 1:33Speaker 1: my wife, are just gonna split a water and I
- 1:35Speaker 1: would be like, no, man, we lost a bet. I
- 1:38Speaker 1: lost the bet. Let me pay because now, so I said,
- 1:40Speaker 1: let's make a bet that whomever loses, the loser has
- 1:43Speaker 1: to commit to the dinner. All in has to be
- 1:45Speaker 1: our five bucks. That's quite like. That has to be heavy.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So we're gonna go our wives. Jordan's yeah, and then
- 1:53Speaker 1: I lost, so we're gonna to pay for it. But
- 1:55Speaker 1: that's the bet. Lsubt Arkansas. That sucked. But we didn't
- 1:59Speaker 1: have our quarterback at the time of the bet. I
- 2:01Speaker 1: didn't know that. Okay, it was eleven am kickoff on
- 2:03Speaker 1: the road, stuff for us. Ye wait to know it
- 2:07Speaker 1: wasn't Bobby almost beat us? Yeah? I thought we were
- 2:09Speaker 1: going to lose. So that's happening. And we'll talk about
- 2:13Speaker 1: ls you in just a second. Joey McGuire, head football
- 2:16Speaker 1: coach Texas Tech, will be on. And as of right now,
- 2:18Speaker 1: the United States is a plus three forty two beat
- 2:20Speaker 1: the Netherlands in soccer. That's not good, is it? No,
- 2:23Speaker 1: it's not good. I'm just shocked at the Netherlands can
- 2:26Speaker 1: have better athletes in US period. I agree, but I
- 2:28Speaker 1: think all those European countries, they've been playing soccer since
- 2:30Speaker 1: they were born. I know. But if you played soccer
- 2:32Speaker 1: since you were born, you almost can still out athletes
- 2:35Speaker 1: somebody we can't. Obviously, I just can't believe they have
- 2:38Speaker 1: great athletes, but the size of their country when and
- 2:43Speaker 1: it's crazy to me to think we might lose what
- 2:45Speaker 1: probably will lose to them. But is it it fun
- 2:48Speaker 1: to take a plus sprinkle lit bit on the money line?
- 2:52Speaker 1: Don't you just love it? I bet I one on Iran.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Oh you bet on us? Yeah? I bet on us
- 2:59Speaker 1: to beat Whales and and we tied. I thought I
- 3:00Speaker 1: was getting my money back. No, there's a whole button
- 3:02Speaker 1: to push for tie draw. I know. I found the
- 3:05Speaker 1: exact same thing out this year. I was like, oh,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I'll just I'll just bet on you know them. I
- 3:11Speaker 1: thought I was got my money back, you know, push
- 3:12Speaker 1: get your money back. And I went and I was like,
- 3:13Speaker 1: there's no money. Where's my money? Not not in football
- 3:16Speaker 1: right now. The rest of the world's like stupid. I
- 3:18Speaker 1: called it draftings, like, hey guys, you guys got to
- 3:20Speaker 1: give him the money back. So US and Holland the
- 3:25Speaker 1: Netherlands on Saturday morning, nine o'clock Central time, and it
- 3:29Speaker 1: should be fun, right. I just I know we're supposed
- 3:32Speaker 1: to lose. Everybody were supposed to lose. Everybody said we've
- 3:34Speaker 1: already one because we got to the top sixteen. And
- 3:37Speaker 1: that's not how we think, and not Americans. If we
- 3:39Speaker 1: don't win the whole freaking thing, we're gonna bring lunchbox
- 3:41Speaker 1: in and talk about soccer in a little bit. So
- 3:43Speaker 1: he loves we'll get back to that. He knows well,
- 3:45Speaker 1: he at least knows about it. Yeah, more than us.
- 3:48Speaker 1: If I did a whole show on soccer and NASCAR,
- 3:50Speaker 1: that's trouble. I don't know anything about I want all right,
- 3:54Speaker 1: warm up question real quick. You're going to get a haircut,
- 3:56Speaker 1: and what do you say? What's you never had a
- 3:59Speaker 1: haircut with this person, but for how do you describe
- 4:00Speaker 1: the haircut that you want to kick off? Kevin? A
- 4:02Speaker 1: little fade on the side of one, faded up and
- 4:05Speaker 1: then just a little trim off the top and blend
- 4:07Speaker 1: it real nice Eddie. Oh, I just tell him like,
- 4:10Speaker 1: just you know, clean it up because there's not much hair.
- 4:12Speaker 1: So I just tell him like, hey, your side here. Yeah,
- 4:14Speaker 1: So I tell him the number two on the side
- 4:15Speaker 1: and the back and then go to town on the top.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Whatever looks good to town, whatever you think looks good.
- 4:20Speaker 1: And it's weird. They always look at me like, uh no,
- 4:22Speaker 1: just tell me what you want, like, did you be
- 4:23Speaker 1: the judge? What if they shaved it? Though, that's fine
- 4:25Speaker 1: if they think it looks good, I'll roll with it
- 4:27Speaker 1: because you don't know them yet. You know what I
- 4:29Speaker 1: do after I'm done put my hat back one. Jordan's
- 4:32Speaker 1: take a look at this picture. That's what I would say. Oh,
- 4:35Speaker 1: that's good, show a picture of what picture of yourself?
- 4:39Speaker 1: Oh you have picture of Ryan's right haircut? Okay, that's
- 4:45Speaker 1: a Brad Pitt, No, I take that. I take a
- 4:47Speaker 1: picture of like what I when I think my hair
- 4:49Speaker 1: looked great, And I was like, hey, can you do that?
- 4:51Speaker 1: Did they shave your beard? To cut your beard? To
- 4:53Speaker 1: trim your beard at that place? Uh? Would you let him?
- 4:57Speaker 1: I'm kind of particular, but I don't care about the hair,
- 5:00Speaker 1: but I'll tame the beard. Do you have products? But
- 5:03Speaker 1: at home? You know, I was looking at all. I
- 5:06Speaker 1: guess an old picture of you popped up on some
- 5:07Speaker 1: timeline and your beard used to be so big, massive,
- 5:10Speaker 1: And I remember you're not talking about like eventually you
- 5:12Speaker 1: gotta cut that back, so you're not just known for that,
- 5:14Speaker 1: because I don't think now he's known for his beard.
- 5:17Speaker 1: He's now a guy that has a beard. That's a
- 5:20Speaker 1: great move because at least don't have to like it
- 5:22Speaker 1: address it in every single time I talk, because you
- 5:25Speaker 1: were having to talk about it every time. It was
- 5:27Speaker 1: pretty much that's what every interview led with, was like, hey,
- 5:30Speaker 1: talk about your beard. I mean we're talking about it
- 5:32Speaker 1: right now. Still. Yeah, but oh dude, it was big
- 5:35Speaker 1: and I used to hang down like here, like I mean,
- 5:38Speaker 1: it was it was crazy, Adam, How would you tell
- 5:41Speaker 1: him to cut your hair. What's the haircut? Um? He
- 5:43Speaker 1: had had one in a while. Yeah, I would do
- 5:46Speaker 1: the same thing because that that is the advantage of
- 5:48Speaker 1: being an artist, like that, you take pictures with your
- 5:50Speaker 1: hair at its very best and then there you go.
- 5:53Speaker 1: You get you got something you can show right now,
- 5:55Speaker 1: Adam kind of has for those pictures. Adam has a
- 5:58Speaker 1: dark hair, but he kind of looked like Ellen point
- 6:01Speaker 1: when it was like like shape, but like in that
- 6:05Speaker 1: midfit like in the nineties. Bones. I see she had
- 6:07Speaker 1: the TV show Ellen, because it kind of hanged down
- 6:10Speaker 1: a little bit. I thought you were going to say,
- 6:12Speaker 1: like Ellen Hamberg. I was thinking like John Stamos, you know,
- 6:15Speaker 1: like like mine never went there. I went to Ellen,
- 6:17Speaker 1: all right, it would be a good hockey haircut, Like
- 6:20Speaker 1: that would be a good hockey people coming out of
- 6:21Speaker 1: the hell on the bottom a little bit. Yeah, lettist
- 6:24Speaker 1: like let thank jealous. Yeah, look at Ellen or TV
- 6:27Speaker 1: or TV show back in the day. Stop it. That's funny, man.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I don't see it like Carl No, but no, no,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I need to show you Ellen on her TV show.
- 6:34Speaker 1: It wasn't as short as it is now. It was longer.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Just look at just like that. Imagine that blonde Ellen
- 6:43Speaker 1: did you find it? Nineties? Okay, here we go look
- 6:48Speaker 1: here she is on Time magazine. It's okay, yeah, sorry Hambridge.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That's that's a little yeah, that's a little on the nose,
- 6:55Speaker 1: a little bit. That's been there. Man with me. I
- 6:58Speaker 1: walk in, I look at him in the eye and
- 7:01Speaker 1: I say, you see this hair? And they say yeah.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I say I don't. I don't care what you do.
- 7:07Speaker 1: It's like me, man, whatever whatever you felt the best
- 7:09Speaker 1: about you, see what it is. Now, just make it
- 7:10Speaker 1: a little less this and it'll be good. And they go, okay, cool,
- 7:14Speaker 1: and that's it. I think they like it. It's almost like, hey,
- 7:16Speaker 1: you're an artist. Let's see what you can do. Here's
- 7:18Speaker 1: an empty campus, except you're missing so I don't want
- 7:21Speaker 1: to go film. Yeah, all right, tittle tattle town. Let's
- 7:24Speaker 1: go st the tattle tattle? Which new coaching Hiarty like
- 7:35Speaker 1: the most Hugh Freeze to Auburn, Matt Rule to Nebraska,
- 7:38Speaker 1: or Luke Fickle to Wisconsin. When I think back about
- 7:41Speaker 1: Hugh free coaching at all, miss I remember when they
- 7:42Speaker 1: would recruit players and all of a sudden, out of
- 7:45Speaker 1: where they were getting the number one recruit in America,
- 7:47Speaker 1: number two recruit. It was kind of like Texas A
- 7:49Speaker 1: and M, but before Texas A and M could actually
- 7:52Speaker 1: do it and you would know why they were doing
- 7:53Speaker 1: because they're paying in I L. Dills and legally. But
- 7:56Speaker 1: all of a sudden, you're like, I'm gonna smell right,
- 7:58Speaker 1: all of a sudden, Lash's got the number one recruit
- 8:00Speaker 1: in the whole country. Hugh Freezes a good coach. He
- 8:03Speaker 1: made some mistakes. Yeah, he made some mistakes. What do
- 8:06Speaker 1: you do? I don't know. I honestly don't really you
- 8:09Speaker 1: don't know what he did. Um he got he got
- 8:11Speaker 1: some trouble he was he was you like research, Yeah,
- 8:20Speaker 1: it's like that follow at Bunky Perkins. He's an incredible
- 8:24Speaker 1: follow on Twitter, big old miss guy. He's got all
- 8:26Speaker 1: the Hugh frees jokes. Yeah, ladies, Yeah, he he wasn't
- 8:32Speaker 1: very faithful, Okay, got around, he got around of the
- 8:37Speaker 1: night type, you know. Yeah, he was the cool uncle. Yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 1: he was the cool uncle supposedly allegedly. So anyway, he's
- 8:49Speaker 1: a really great coach. I think people are now saying
- 8:51Speaker 1: he's already one of the top as hec coaches already.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I don't know. That I go there. I mean, I
- 8:55Speaker 1: I thought, and I was led to believe the Wisconsin
- 8:58Speaker 1: was going to move their assistant up to be the
- 9:00Speaker 1: head coach everywhere. Fickles Gray and he's proven he can
- 9:04Speaker 1: win and even get to a into the top four
- 9:09Speaker 1: with Cincinnati not in the Power of five school. You
- 9:11Speaker 1: give him some resources. That's really cool. A Matt Rule.
- 9:15Speaker 1: I like it for Nebraska. I don't know that I
- 9:18Speaker 1: know enough about Matt. He was places quickly and had
- 9:21Speaker 1: success quickly, but I don't I haven't seen him like
- 9:23Speaker 1: build a program. And so I did see him talking
- 9:26Speaker 1: about Caroline always like man, they probably five years. Yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 1: that sucked. I did not expect to be fired two years. Um.
- 9:31Speaker 1: But all a really good, flashy, fulfilling hires for the program.
- 9:36Speaker 1: But if I were gonna pick one, I like Fickle
- 9:39Speaker 1: probably the best just because and probably Freezes a better
- 9:43Speaker 1: coach as far as being new innovative. But Fickle is
- 9:47Speaker 1: probably not gonna hang out lady at a whore night night.
- 9:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna go Fickle, but it's close because I do
- 10:00Speaker 1: like all the hires, and I think Rule is gonna
- 10:02Speaker 1: be really good obviously, but he you know, there's not
- 10:04Speaker 1: a real record of a five year of him building
- 10:07Speaker 1: a program and holding it. He rose pretty quickly did
- 10:10Speaker 1: a few years Baylor and he won. But Fickle has
- 10:14Speaker 1: proven over time. Rules got he's guys work out. Nebraska
- 10:17Speaker 1: is in bad ship. He's gonna he's gonna need some
- 10:20Speaker 1: he's need some help. I would like to go into Nebraska, though,
- 10:23Speaker 1: I think more than I would like to go into
- 10:24Speaker 1: Wisconsin right now, because Wisconsin expects to win in the
- 10:27Speaker 1: next couple of years. In Nebraska, they're gonna give rule.
- 10:31Speaker 1: He's gonna have a read four to five years before
- 10:33Speaker 1: they really start buzzing his dude, Wisconsin, they better compete
- 10:36Speaker 1: next year for a big team. Absolutely, and then Auburn
- 10:39Speaker 1: is gonna need to win in two years. Think next year. Yeah,
- 10:43Speaker 1: they won't be patient. Yeah, Okay, what else? Who do
- 10:45Speaker 1: you trust more to win their conference championship this weekend
- 10:48Speaker 1: to stay in the College Football Playoff USC or TCU TCU,
- 10:54Speaker 1: and if TC loses, they should stay in it. I've
- 10:56Speaker 1: changed my mind. No, yeah, And I've been couldn't get
- 11:00Speaker 1: to my whistle fast enough. I've been so and I'll
- 11:03Speaker 1: tell you why. If USC loses, they should not be
- 11:06Speaker 1: And they've already lost a game. They have lost a game.
- 11:09Speaker 1: You can't two losses and you're not in the SEC.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Goodbye Georgia. They can lose, they're still in it. They
- 11:16Speaker 1: have lost a game. TCU is in a Power five
- 11:18Speaker 1: conference and they're undefeated. There's got you and I know
- 11:22Speaker 1: TC has been the school have been waiting to fall
- 11:23Speaker 1: all year long, and I've been one of them, and
- 11:26Speaker 1: I thought if they lose, their out. But the more
- 11:28Speaker 1: I think about it, they shouldn't be punished for playing
- 11:31Speaker 1: in a championship game. And they're the only school that
- 11:33Speaker 1: would be punished more so for playing in the game.
- 11:36Speaker 1: USC has already lost a game. Have they not lost
- 11:38Speaker 1: a game? I said the same thing US he lost
- 11:41Speaker 1: a Utah. They have one loss already, so they're gonna
- 11:44Speaker 1: play them again, and if they lose, they for sure
- 11:46Speaker 1: should be out. But TC hasn't lost at all, and
- 11:50Speaker 1: I think you they shouldn't be punished for playing that
- 11:52Speaker 1: championship game. Now. USC is only being punished they've already
- 11:55Speaker 1: lost once. If they were also undefeated, would say the
- 11:57Speaker 1: same thing. You shouldn't be punished for being for the
- 12:00Speaker 1: reward that you're given, which is a chance at a
- 12:02Speaker 1: conference championship. I also think they get punished for their
- 12:06Speaker 1: name too, because they're not in Alabama. They're not one
- 12:08Speaker 1: of these big brands, and so I mean, you're just
- 12:11Speaker 1: you're you kind of get left out in the cold
- 12:13Speaker 1: all those names. I think that we have to we
- 12:16Speaker 1: have to agree that you got a committee that looks
- 12:19Speaker 1: at that. They're gonna look at eyeballs, they're gonna look
- 12:20Speaker 1: at teams. I think with Cincinnati that year that they
- 12:23Speaker 1: squeezed them in like that was that it was probably
- 12:26Speaker 1: hard for them to do well. They they didn't lose
- 12:27Speaker 1: the game right and the like. But with CCU, there's
- 12:32Speaker 1: some weak wins in there. I feel like they're stretching
- 12:34Speaker 1: when they talk about their their strong wins. It's like
- 12:36Speaker 1: a big win over four. Michigan hasn't beat anybody either,
- 12:39Speaker 1: ex of Ohio stayed, but that was a I mean,
- 12:42Speaker 1: they took it to and they deserve to be in there.
- 12:45Speaker 1: They can lose and they should stay in if they
- 12:50Speaker 1: were if they were to lose to Purdue, Michigan should
- 12:53Speaker 1: stay in. I don't you can't kick somebody out for
- 12:55Speaker 1: being undefeated in a conference champions Again, they lose the
- 12:57Speaker 1: confen championship game. That's my opinion. Now I've changed because
- 13:01Speaker 1: the more I thought about it, the more like they
- 13:02Speaker 1: shouldn't be punished for that. Us he's already lost. You lose,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you out the door, kick rocks and then that's when
- 13:06Speaker 1: Ohio State of Alabama comes in. But that's that's what
- 13:08Speaker 1: I think. I think. But I think TCU now I
- 13:10Speaker 1: think they win as well. I do think TCU wins,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and then it'll be a moot point. As they say,
- 13:15Speaker 1: it's going to be tough. They are both gonna be
- 13:17Speaker 1: it's a good squad. It's gonna be a good game.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Similar style ish to tc has a really great receiver,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and they moved the ball differently at times. They can
- 13:26Speaker 1: go a little more over the top. But I still
- 13:29Speaker 1: think tc you can do it. I think they're a
- 13:31Speaker 1: team of destiny, and their destiny to go and lose
- 13:32Speaker 1: the first round of the playoffs, all right, they're going
- 13:35Speaker 1: to get it handed to alright. Do you think Tennessee
- 13:38Speaker 1: would be ranked ahead of Alabama in the latest poll
- 13:40Speaker 1: of Henn and Hooker was still healthy, Yes, for sure. Yeah,
- 13:44Speaker 1: And I do hear people, and I understand why you're
- 13:46Speaker 1: upset that Tennessee isn't higher than Alabama, or they're not
- 13:49Speaker 1: sitting on the edge. To also be in the conversation.
- 13:51Speaker 1: You don't have your starting quarterback, it will be embarrassing
- 13:53Speaker 1: for everybody involved. You lost a bad game when you
- 13:56Speaker 1: shouldn't have lost it a good game. There's a bad loss.
- 14:00Speaker 1: You can't lose to South Carolina. Yeah, it's a it's
- 14:05Speaker 1: a good game South Carolina. It's a bad loss. You
- 14:08Speaker 1: can't do that. And so, yes, they would be, but
- 14:10Speaker 1: you can't put a back up quarterback in there if
- 14:12Speaker 1: it's close eyeballs, right, not just data eyeballs. Yeah, that's
- 14:16Speaker 1: not the same thing without handing yes, and you don't.
- 14:18Speaker 1: It just wouldn't be good television. It wouldn't be good
- 14:21Speaker 1: for ratings. It wouldn't be a good game. And if
- 14:23Speaker 1: it's close, that's what you go to. So yeah, but
- 14:26Speaker 1: I digress. Go ahead. Next one, they going to the NFL.
- 14:30Speaker 1: So the Packers think about sitting Aaron Rodgers to get
- 14:32Speaker 1: him healthy and also to see if Jordan's love is
- 14:34Speaker 1: maybe trade bait or their future possibly. I heard Rodgers
- 14:40Speaker 1: finally say to be open to the idea of them
- 14:42Speaker 1: resting him for the rest of the year, which means
- 14:44Speaker 1: he probably wants to be rested. We're playing the Bears
- 14:46Speaker 1: this week, and Rogers owns the Bears, and if he
- 14:49Speaker 1: could play one more, maybe he's made the deal with them.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I don't know if Rogers I'd want to play. If
- 14:53Speaker 1: I could, I want to play against the Bears. He
- 14:55Speaker 1: he hates the Bears, he loves rub it in their face.
- 14:58Speaker 1: But you don't want to lose to the Bears if
- 14:59Speaker 1: you're Rodgers. So if he's not physically up in feeling
- 15:03Speaker 1: like they can win this game, I would, I'd say, guys,
- 15:06Speaker 1: let's let's let's do it. Let's sit me, because he's
- 15:08Speaker 1: out fifty million bucks to play next year, they're not
- 15:11Speaker 1: going to the playoffs. Jordan's love. If he's able to
- 15:15Speaker 1: come in and actually be pretty good, you can get
- 15:17Speaker 1: some good, good parts for that. So I and Jordan loved.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Threw the ball pretty well last week, which he looked
- 15:23Speaker 1: better last week, and yes time in the system experience,
- 15:27Speaker 1: he had better last week he's ever looked before. And
- 15:29Speaker 1: it was at times you're like, damn, that could be
- 15:31Speaker 1: the guy right there, not though guy not him, Like
- 15:34Speaker 1: that could be the guy? Was it just mirror? Did
- 15:36Speaker 1: he look like Aaron Rodgers too. His mannerisms. I don't
- 15:39Speaker 1: know if he want even the way that he throws,
- 15:40Speaker 1: Like I don't know you're watching recording the game before TVR, buddy,
- 15:44Speaker 1: were you watching it? I don't think it drinks that
- 15:46Speaker 1: tea or anything. I didn't think that, but I'd say
- 15:48Speaker 1: the way he plays maybe maybe I don't know. Remember
- 15:52Speaker 1: the ball though, like he runs the ball and he
- 15:54Speaker 1: can do different things in Aaron Rodgers. Aaron can't move
- 15:56Speaker 1: like that, and he didn't have like dirty you know,
- 16:00Speaker 1: long Ellen Adam Herrick, I'm gona have a helmet, but yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 1: i'd probably sit him and protect him. What do you
- 16:08Speaker 1: think about that, Jordan's I mean, if Rogers wants to play,
- 16:11Speaker 1: I still think he's the guy so like it'd be
- 16:14Speaker 1: tough too. It has those like throwbacks like Eli Manning
- 16:17Speaker 1: when they said Eli Manning for was it Gen Coner. No,
- 16:24Speaker 1: It's like if you have a guy that obviously first
- 16:26Speaker 1: ballot Hall of Famer, top ten quarterback of all time,
- 16:30Speaker 1: if he wants to play football, you let him go
- 16:31Speaker 1: play for I don't think wants to like football, not
- 16:34Speaker 1: in Green Bay. I don't think he wants to play it.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Are a bad team and they're bad. But I think
- 16:39Speaker 1: if he thinks they could beat the Bears, that's probably
- 16:41Speaker 1: why he'll play. If it's like borderline, I think he
- 16:43Speaker 1: plays against the Bears. It's like one of those crazy
- 16:45Speaker 1: things that with Rogers, like they have a slim opening
- 16:49Speaker 1: for potentially getting in the playoffs. It's it hasn't shut
- 16:52Speaker 1: all the way. I think until of that door closes.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I think Rogers. I think he's out there. He's got
- 16:57Speaker 1: a thumb though, and now like a he had a pot,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but he doesn't. They thought that at first, and that's
- 17:07Speaker 1: his throwing thumb. But he's been dealing with it for
- 17:08Speaker 1: a few weeks, saying about it later. You know Polisic
- 17:12Speaker 1: who plays for the US. I mean he's dealing with
- 17:14Speaker 1: a nut injury. Okay, so was it a nut injury?
- 17:17Speaker 1: And I watched, watched the clip look like a nutt
- 17:19Speaker 1: But I watched. I'm like they he didn't got knat
- 17:21Speaker 1: in the nuts. It's that straight straight to I mean,
- 17:24Speaker 1: you go to the hospital for a nut injury, that's serious.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Though I racked myself many times. Is he out Saturday? No,
- 17:29Speaker 1: he says he's gonna be We don't know, but he
- 17:31Speaker 1: says he and he says, I saw the picture Saturday.
- 17:38Speaker 1: We'll talk soccer in a minute. What euse? Okay, Well,
- 17:40Speaker 1: the forty Niners hand to his first loss as a
- 17:42Speaker 1: full game starter this season. Yes, yeah, forty is it awesome? Yeah,
- 17:47Speaker 1: good squad, and they've gotten a lot better. And it's
- 17:50Speaker 1: not even a McCaffrey thing. He helps and he opens
- 17:53Speaker 1: it up for everybody else. But man, they are Defensively,
- 17:55Speaker 1: they're good. Offensively, they're good. Jimmy G has a bit
- 17:59Speaker 1: of confident. I mean, he's not him, but he's he's
- 18:03Speaker 1: a guy. He's like the middle he's a he's Yeah,
- 18:07Speaker 1: he's a good enough guy. Yeah, he's like he didn't
- 18:09Speaker 1: even lose games for you, that's for sure. And he's
- 18:11Speaker 1: making money because every time he wins. He has a
- 18:13Speaker 1: big bonus on his contract cause they didn't expect him
- 18:15Speaker 1: to play. That's awesome. Yeah. I do expect them to
- 18:18Speaker 1: beat the Dolphins. Go ahead, last one do The Bengals
- 18:20Speaker 1: need to beat the Chiefs on Sunday to prove that
- 18:22Speaker 1: last year's AFC Championship game wasn't a fluke. No, Chiefs
- 18:26Speaker 1: are awesome. If they lose to the Chiefs's fine, they'll
- 18:27Speaker 1: get another shot at him probably, But last last year
- 18:30Speaker 1: that game was very flukish and how the Chiefs. They
- 18:34Speaker 1: should have lost that game. The shee shouldn't have lost
- 18:35Speaker 1: the game. Um, but no, you know, if you lose
- 18:38Speaker 1: to the Chiefs, you just lose to the Chiefs. They're
- 18:40Speaker 1: really good unless you lose fifty to three. Other than that,
- 18:44Speaker 1: you're fine. You'll be back. So, but the Bengals offensive
- 18:49Speaker 1: line is really starting to play well. They're starting to
- 18:52Speaker 1: be what they thought they were going to be. They're
- 18:54Speaker 1: starting to Jael and I always think the Burrow, I
- 18:58Speaker 1: think you could do anything. And if they're down six
- 19:00Speaker 1: with forty eight seconds, I'm like, oh, yet have faith.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Just because he's got that swagger, he throws ball his receivers,
- 19:08Speaker 1: they risk themselves for him as much as any any
- 19:11Speaker 1: wide receiver quarterback I've seen. We don't know yet of
- 19:14Speaker 1: their full strength this weekend, so Chase is probably going
- 19:20Speaker 1: to play and mixing. I do not know. The concussion
- 19:24Speaker 1: stuff is weird because even though you can feel healthy,
- 19:26Speaker 1: you've got to be cleared by somebody else fully where.
- 19:28Speaker 1: If you're Jamar Chase and you have a hip thing,
- 19:31Speaker 1: they can't really feel what you feel. They can go, Okay,
- 19:34Speaker 1: how do you feel is a good? You have all
- 19:36Speaker 1: your yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, let's go. But
- 19:39Speaker 1: you can go like I feel great, I don't feel anything,
- 19:40Speaker 1: and they're like, nope, you're not passing this test. If
- 19:42Speaker 1: you're they can keep you out of that way more
- 19:45Speaker 1: so than they could a hip injury or an ankle
- 19:49Speaker 1: that type of situation. All right, that's total tttle, Thank
- 19:51Speaker 1: you tattle. The holidays right around the corner. I'm ready.

- 20:51Speaker 1: Hello Fresh dot com slash Bobby Sports seventy. Joan, what
- 20:56Speaker 1: the heck happened to? L s U? That's that's sucked.
- 21:00Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying? You suck? That a fan?
- 21:02Speaker 1: That sucks. There's no worse feeling. And maybe this is
- 21:07Speaker 1: a good little question to toss out to the room.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Is there a worse feeling than starting a game from
- 21:13Speaker 1: kickoff and it just feeling weird, like it feeling like
- 21:17Speaker 1: you can never from the second we kicked off of
- 21:20Speaker 1: A and M, it was just like a dark cloud
- 21:22Speaker 1: was over it. And if you're playing catch up the
- 21:25Speaker 1: whole time, whole time, even like after a good drive,
- 21:27Speaker 1: we come back, we fumble scoop and score it just uh,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I don't know the stadium we couldn't like it was
- 21:36Speaker 1: a and M shot with the play. It's tough to
- 21:38Speaker 1: it's tough to be the team with nothing to lose,
- 21:40Speaker 1: and we had everything to lose, and that that makes
- 21:42Speaker 1: it worse so that it ain't eve a lot to lose. Yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: it makes it worse too. In the players you're talking
- 21:47Speaker 1: about that feeling, you know, just like you just can't
- 21:49Speaker 1: get it right from the beginning, but then you're playing
- 21:50Speaker 1: a M that makes it even worse. I know that's
- 21:53Speaker 1: team that like you, you know, and it was tough,
- 21:56Speaker 1: and then fourth quarter they just stepped on it. I
- 22:01Speaker 1: I'm not an L s U fan by any means,
- 22:03Speaker 1: but I felt bad for you because you're my friend,
- 22:05Speaker 1: and I feel bad when my friends have to go
- 22:06Speaker 1: through pain. I don't love L s U. But you
- 22:09Speaker 1: guys were so close to having a shot, to having
- 22:13Speaker 1: a shot we could. We could. We were close enough
- 22:15Speaker 1: to where it's like, hey, if we win, we can
- 22:17Speaker 1: play as long as they'll let us play. You go
- 22:19Speaker 1: win this Champions game. Now you're on the tchart. You
- 22:20Speaker 1: can win the whole thing. And I don't think that
- 22:22Speaker 1: it was like a look ahead to Georgia. I really don't.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I mean, are you kidding? I don't think that's I
- 22:27Speaker 1: think that's all it was. There's so much better than
- 22:30Speaker 1: A and M. I know, but like A and M
- 22:32Speaker 1: played a really good football game that night, like defense
- 22:35Speaker 1: made players. We couldn't get the ground game going. Uh.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Jaden Daniels kind of got you know, knocked up early.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Uh look during the game. Who knocked him up? Yeah?
- 22:47Speaker 1: What happened? Got so witty. You got to be careful
- 22:53Speaker 1: unless you guys get knocked up. I've never seen that.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I think it was an ankle. I think he heard
- 22:57Speaker 1: his ankle early. Um, it's just you know what, Bobby,
- 23:03Speaker 1: we lost, actually lost the guy I was telling the
- 23:06Speaker 1: guys and the playoff hasn't been around for a long time,
- 23:10Speaker 1: but it's the first time I can remember a team
- 23:12Speaker 1: playing for the se championship that it's over. If they win,
- 23:16Speaker 1: it still doesn't matter. They win, but they don't move on.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I've never seen that before. It's um, yeah, it's uh man,
- 23:22Speaker 1: I really wish to Yeah, but like like I said,
- 23:26Speaker 1: this is kickoff. I sent a message with my brother.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I was like, bro, this doesn't something feels weird, Like
- 23:32Speaker 1: I just don't think we're gonna be able to win
- 23:34Speaker 1: this game. So ls you and Georgia playing, do you
- 23:38Speaker 1: what what is your excitement level for the game. It's
- 23:44Speaker 1: definitely dampened. Um. You know, I still think that I
- 23:48Speaker 1: don't want to go out there and get embarrassed. I
- 23:49Speaker 1: think they got spread right now like seventeen and a half.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You know, let's let's keep it around there, boys. And
- 23:56Speaker 1: that's the guy who bleeds in his team. Wow. Yeah,
- 23:58Speaker 1: don't embarrass us too bad. I mean not, it's averyody,
- 24:00Speaker 1: embarrass a little just I don't think that there's a
- 24:03Speaker 1: better team in Georgia. I think Georgia will win the
- 24:05Speaker 1: Nation championship. And you know, we got a chance to
- 24:08Speaker 1: go in there, and they're still in the playoff either way,
- 24:10Speaker 1: even if we beat them by thirty, they're still in Um.
- 24:13Speaker 1: But george is a good team. This was still a
- 24:17Speaker 1: great season. I'm really really happy. Expectation. Absolutely the worst
- 24:21Speaker 1: thing you can have in life is hope. I'll say it,
- 24:23Speaker 1: because you hurt, you get sucks. I'm a pessimist as sucks.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Hope sucks. I like what to happen when I didn't
- 24:29Speaker 1: hope for it. I hate to hope for it because
- 24:31Speaker 1: then even if I do. It's built to the level
- 24:33Speaker 1: I got, and if he usually never adds up to
- 24:35Speaker 1: what I wanted it to be. So I don't want
- 24:37Speaker 1: to even want to know how good it could be.
- 24:38Speaker 1: I just want to happen. I'm gonna work for it,
- 24:40Speaker 1: make it happen without knowing how great it is, because
- 24:42Speaker 1: it never happens. It's stupid. Anyway, Moving on, there will
- 24:46Speaker 1: be twelve teams college football playoff positive man, real nice,
- 24:51Speaker 1: not this year, not next year, but you after that.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I love it. I can't get enough of it. Let's go.
- 24:56Speaker 1: It's it's fun. And for people that are like, ah,
- 24:59Speaker 1: we like with four uh, first of all, I'll take
- 25:02Speaker 1: a jar at all. Second of all, you don't want
- 25:05Speaker 1: a fourteen playoff in football in the NFL. You don't
- 25:07Speaker 1: want a fourteen playoff baseball. That's just how it's been.
- 25:09Speaker 1: So you feel like it's we gotta protect the sanctity
- 25:11Speaker 1: of the bowl games. And nobody cares about bowl games anymore.
- 25:14Speaker 1: It's just it's just a good game, you know. It's
- 25:18Speaker 1: a fun game. It's like inter league playing baseball. When
- 25:21Speaker 1: that started, it's like novel. They're playing conferences. They never
- 25:23Speaker 1: played two big school but nobody care. It's not the
- 25:25Speaker 1: seventies anymore. Still, the Bowl and S report they like
- 25:29Speaker 1: three thousand people turn out to see air Force play
- 25:32Speaker 1: Ohio exactly like it though, if there was a this
- 25:40Speaker 1: year who drew this up? Penn Stanton Clemson would play,
- 25:45Speaker 1: which would be fun. And then when we would played Georgia,
- 25:48Speaker 1: Ohio State in Washington would play, would win that. Then
- 25:52Speaker 1: Ohio State in USC would play. Tennessee would be in
- 25:55Speaker 1: it as a seven against Kansas State. They'd be a
- 25:57Speaker 1: pretty good game too. They played. When I play Michigan
- 26:01Speaker 1: Alabama Utah, remember that ball game when you beat them,
- 26:05Speaker 1: that's a crazy one. And that that when we will
- 26:07Speaker 1: play TCU. What an Alabama tc would be awesome? That
- 26:10Speaker 1: would be fun. I just like more big games with
- 26:12Speaker 1: the more teams having an absolute shot to do it all.
- 26:16Speaker 1: And the shot is Washington. What it I'll know, but
- 26:19Speaker 1: just for Washington beat Ohio State and have a shot
- 26:21Speaker 1: at that, that's fine. If some talking about more games.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Bet also, FCS has been doing it for since I
- 26:28Speaker 1: can remember, you know, one double a whenever I was
- 26:31Speaker 1: growing up. But like they've had a sixteen team playoff
- 26:33Speaker 1: for whatever it is, twelve team and like, I love it,
- 26:36Speaker 1: like you always. I love seeing the seven seed. It's
- 26:39Speaker 1: some more people having a shot, having passion, more fan
- 26:41Speaker 1: bases that have passionate better. So I love that. I
- 26:43Speaker 1: do want to check in with you guys. The coaches update.
- 26:46Speaker 1: We're gonna have the Kansas State head coach on next week.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Who got that? Coming up in a minute, Coach McGuire
- 26:55Speaker 1: from Texas Tech, which Kevin got um the So here's
- 26:59Speaker 1: the deal. The Texas is football coach. I said he
- 27:02Speaker 1: would come on the show, but he hit us. He
- 27:04Speaker 1: said after bowl season? Was that sark? Yeah, but we
- 27:07Speaker 1: can anything after December thirty one? Account in the game
- 27:10Speaker 1: after December thirty one or after the National Championship game?
- 27:13Speaker 1: What it is? I get it before the okay, when's
- 27:17Speaker 1: that game? Something like that? Yeah, okay, did Mike meet
- 27:23Speaker 1: him at the game? He booked him while he was
- 27:26Speaker 1: on the field. See him. I just emailed beauty of
- 27:32Speaker 1: the email I sent a certain coach and email. I
- 27:37Speaker 1: haven't got a response, but I email to coach myself
- 27:39Speaker 1: and try to get him on. I just sent it
- 27:40Speaker 1: to the I went to the general website it and
- 27:42Speaker 1: I just type in Athletic director email and I sent
- 27:46Speaker 1: the coach and email. They have their emails on the web.
- 27:48Speaker 1: You can find like an assistant, a d or something.
- 27:51Speaker 1: Even even I mean even the athletic directors, most of
- 27:54Speaker 1: them will have their their email on the website. I mean,
- 27:56Speaker 1: I go hard on because you kind of have to,
- 27:59Speaker 1: because they don't know I am. But here's what. Here's
- 28:01Speaker 1: that I wrote, greetings to you quick version, my name
- 28:05Speaker 1: is Bobby Bones. Can you let me with coach blank,
- 28:07Speaker 1: email and phone is good? Thanks, That's all I said.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And then underneath it a couple of spaces they go
- 28:11Speaker 1: long version, my name is Bobby Bones, and then I
- 28:14Speaker 1: lay on the resume. Have a radio show in over
- 28:17Speaker 1: two hundred cities. Two current TV shows, Breaking Bobby Bones,
- 28:20Speaker 1: a Disney Plus and Snake in the Grass on Peacock.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Have two New York Times bestsellers, Bare Bones and fill
- 28:24Speaker 1: In Too. You don't big animal. I drink almond milk
- 28:26Speaker 1: and have bad vision. I'm a graduate of Henderson State University,
- 28:29Speaker 1: bachelors degree in the University of Arkansas. H doctor it
- 28:32Speaker 1: I put it looks like a typo, probably, but it
- 28:36Speaker 1: is a doctor in different size. My interest is with
- 28:38Speaker 1: blank for a zoom interview. Now that the regular season over,
- 28:40Speaker 1: it about thirty minutes. It will be about football, but
- 28:42Speaker 1: also how to create your path to get to a
- 28:45Speaker 1: spoken goal. I've done it, coach has done it. Opus
- 28:47Speaker 1: find you well, and heck, I hope to find you
- 28:50Speaker 1: at all. I assumed that you're the guy to hit up. Now,
- 28:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna be in Dallas next week, you said with
- 28:54Speaker 1: Jerry Jones interview him. We've had coach being or Coach
- 28:58Speaker 1: McGuire and other non sports stars on here's my Instagram.
- 29:01Speaker 1: There's a blue check, which means I'm a wonderful, honest,
- 29:02Speaker 1: caring person, Phoebe and have eight through the Jerry Jones
- 29:07Speaker 1: flex late. It's all about catching a fish. I'll flex
- 29:12Speaker 1: on that bait all day long. So we also didn't
- 29:15Speaker 1: know that you were ready rooster Henderson State, Henderson State
- 29:18Speaker 1: ready not rooster. I thought you are the ready rooster.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Were the readies? What's a rooster? Ghost? Roosters? That no? No?
- 29:25Speaker 1: I mean, like, why why did he bring up the rooster?
- 29:27Speaker 1: I don't know. I thought they were the ready roosters.
- 29:29Speaker 1: That's crazy over there, because I was I was at
- 29:32Speaker 1: Northwestern State and Henderson State came in plays gonna be honest,
- 29:36Speaker 1: that was a little random there. Georgia's Hey, it's kicked off, Kevin,
- 29:40Speaker 1: and the holidays are just about here. We are in December.
- 29:44Speaker 1: It's supposed to be the happiest time of the year, right,
- 29:46Speaker 1: but let's be real. Between all the hectic holiday travel,
- 29:49Speaker 1: the gifts to buy, the traffic, the family coming over,
- 29:53Speaker 1: sometimes it may not be the best time of the year.
- 29:56Speaker 1: But in the spirit of giving during the holidays, I'm
- 29:58Speaker 1: going to share my go to gift idea, and that's
- 30:01Speaker 1: a premium audio product from Raycon. Racon's wireless earbuds, headphones
- 30:06Speaker 1: and speakers offer premium sound. I have the wireless earbuds
- 30:09Speaker 1: and they are sleek, their stylists, they stay put whenever
- 30:12Speaker 1: I'm on a run or if I'm in the gym

- 30:54Speaker 1: you at um Stats. You guys. Fun fact. I got
- 30:59Speaker 1: something in calm and with Marvin Harrison Jr. Up until
- 31:02Speaker 1: last week, we had the exact same number of drops
- 31:05Speaker 1: in a college football game. A hundred targets and zero drops.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Amazing stat. Marvin Harrison Jr. He had the he had
- 31:15Speaker 1: his first drop first quarter of the game last week,
- 31:18Speaker 1: the game where unfortunately the buck Eyes dropped that game,
- 31:24Speaker 1: which is a big bummer for me because I had
- 31:25Speaker 1: him in our in our pool, so that's unfortunate. UM
- 31:28Speaker 1: in it going to the NFL. Seventy point six. That's
- 31:31Speaker 1: the percentage that Steelers quarterback can he Pikett. He's complete.
- 31:35Speaker 1: He's completing his passes at seventy six against the Blitz
- 31:38Speaker 1: this season. That's good for best in the NFL. Defenses
- 31:41Speaker 1: are coming hard at him. He's been sacked ninth most
- 31:44Speaker 1: in the NFL. Tiny hands Um the Steelers there in
- 31:49Speaker 1: this clump of like four and seven teams. Right out
- 31:52Speaker 1: of out of these four and seven teams, we've got Colts, Jack's, Browns, Steelers,
- 31:56Speaker 1: and Raiders. Which of those four and seven teams do
- 31:59Speaker 1: you think has the best chances sliding in one of
- 32:02Speaker 1: those last playoffs slides? Adam did a hand slideing like
- 32:04Speaker 1: a doctor that's sliding up athole like a glove, like
- 32:08Speaker 1: when I've had to get you know, Oh, that's interesting.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Which one do we think has the best shot here?
- 32:13Speaker 1: I think the Raiders are trending up. They're fun, they're passionate.
- 32:19Speaker 1: I I still I think the Cowboys could be in
- 32:21Speaker 1: a little trouble with the Colts. I was thinking that.
- 32:24Speaker 1: I didn't want to say that, but I was thinking
- 32:25Speaker 1: that because I do believe in coach Saturday um Man.
- 32:29Speaker 1: I just think Matt Matt Ryan. They're like an eleven
- 32:32Speaker 1: point dog too. But they are fighting too. I want
- 32:35Speaker 1: to believe in the Colts. And I love that you're
- 32:37Speaker 1: staying with the Raiders. I mean, I think it's great
- 32:39Speaker 1: you've rode with the Raiders from the beginning. I just
- 32:41Speaker 1: don't think it's gonna be the Raiders, dude. But if
- 32:43Speaker 1: you have to pick one, of those teams, it's it's
- 32:44Speaker 1: probably none of them. Browns are, Browns are Hey, we're
- 32:47Speaker 1: We're about to see this week Shawn Watson's in this
- 32:50Speaker 1: is Browns could be, could be sneaky. Raiders got a
- 32:53Speaker 1: lot of talent. Raiders should not be four and seven. Well,
- 32:56Speaker 1: the Raiders have a brutal schedule to because the division,
- 32:59Speaker 1: the team they're playing, that's gonna be a factor as well.
- 33:02Speaker 1: The Colts have a terrible schedule too. I mean, but
- 33:05Speaker 1: a lot of teams that have terrible schedules usually bad teams.
- 33:07Speaker 1: That's why their schedule is so hard because they're the
- 33:10Speaker 1: bad team. Yeah, I mean, everybody's better than them. That's
- 33:12Speaker 1: why it's a terrible schedule. Um, but just up the
- 33:16Speaker 1: four teams. I like the Raiders. I like to watch
- 33:18Speaker 1: the Raiders the best. The Browns are weird because I
- 33:20Speaker 1: always like to root for the Browns because they're Cleveland.
- 33:22Speaker 1: It's a small market team. It's a gritty team. But
- 33:24Speaker 1: can you really root? I'm not gonna root. It's no.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I totally forgot that. It's week eleven now, And of course,
- 33:30Speaker 1: like in Houston, yeah, of course, it's exactly how they
- 33:33Speaker 1: drew it up. So I'm gonna go with the Raiders.
- 33:36Speaker 1: I'm with Writers, all right, Thank you, Adam. There you go,
- 33:39Speaker 1: as he's got those sets before you remember to whistles.

- 34:21Speaker 1: game in San Antonio, Texas. USC money line over Utah
- 34:28Speaker 1: Back twelve championship game. Georgia money line over L s
- 34:32Speaker 1: U No offense that excuse me with the beard, TCU
- 34:39Speaker 1: money line, Kansas State Michigan money line perdue. Some of
- 34:44Speaker 1: them are pretty big favorites. Georgia Michigan, pretty big favorites.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Here the tc U and USC games, they're not huge favorites.
- 34:51Speaker 1: It's pretty close there. U T s a kind of
- 34:53Speaker 1: in the middle. Are there any underdogs in there? Favorites
- 34:57Speaker 1: have to put a lot of money, though, Well, if
- 34:59Speaker 1: you if bet twenty bucks, I was I was seeing
- 35:02Speaker 1: if he's going to touch that Clemson un see game
- 35:04Speaker 1: like that, that's gonna have a Clemson curse and I
- 35:06Speaker 1: I don't feel good about it either way. I just
- 35:09Speaker 1: don't think. I just don't think they have a quarterback.
- 35:11Speaker 1: It's gonna be. It's gonna be. Yeah, oh yeah, cool Sorr.
- 35:14Speaker 1: If you bet twenty bucks, you'll make eighty bucks back. Okay,
- 35:19Speaker 1: that's pretty good. I put in a hundred four. That's good.
- 35:22Speaker 1: It's just have to win five games. There you go.
- 35:24Speaker 1: There's the bet. If you want to take parlay each week,

- 35:48Speaker 1: this is an awesome interview. Love the guy head coach,
- 35:50Speaker 1: Joey McGuire, coach, Are you good to go? I'm great, man.
- 35:53Speaker 1: It's great to see you, man, Good to see you. Two. Congratulations,
- 35:56Speaker 1: I'll start with this. Congratulations on the big win last week.
- 35:58Speaker 1: That's well, that was a ball game right there. Oh,
- 36:01Speaker 1: it was kind of like an old school UM air
- 36:04Speaker 1: raid shootout. Yeah, it's whenever that whenever you guys. It
- 36:11Speaker 1: was late in the game and um, not to go
- 36:13Speaker 1: so specific, but they had Oklahoma tried the old quarterback
- 36:18Speaker 1: runs out and and I mean you guys, pop Gabriel.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I mean yeah, I thought it was over. I didn't
- 36:24Speaker 1: think he was coming back in the game. And it
- 36:26Speaker 1: was all legal. I mean it was. It's a two
- 36:29Speaker 1: part question, like, how do you coach your guys because
- 36:31Speaker 1: everybody's you know, your head has gotta stay up, you
- 36:33Speaker 1: gotta go shoulder shoulder, and sometimes that's unnatural because you're
- 36:37Speaker 1: just running as fast as you can trying to hit someone. One,
- 36:40Speaker 1: how do you coach your guys to always pay attention
- 36:43Speaker 1: to that because it is such a bang bang play
- 36:45Speaker 1: and then too you had to think he was out
- 36:46Speaker 1: of the game for the rest, right, Yeah, I did.
- 36:48Speaker 1: I mean tough kid. I mean a lot of credit
- 36:51Speaker 1: to him because he got hit really hard and um,
- 36:53Speaker 1: you know the backup had to come in for a
- 36:55Speaker 1: playoff thought he was. But man, he's he's a he's
- 36:58Speaker 1: a competitor and heck of a quarter. But you know,
- 37:00Speaker 1: it's we work it. You know, part of our track
- 37:02Speaker 1: tackling circuit is the strike zone area, especially in space.
- 37:06Speaker 1: You know you have to nowadays and you're gonna end
- 37:08Speaker 1: up losing some of your best players, and so, you know,
- 37:12Speaker 1: we we really try to work it. We do a
- 37:14Speaker 1: lot with pads because you know, it's hard to simulate
- 37:17Speaker 1: some of those those uh, some of those hits, you know,
- 37:21Speaker 1: and always talk about see what you hit, trying to
- 37:23Speaker 1: keep your head up. And Reggie does a good job.
- 37:26Speaker 1: He had two really big hits in that game. Uh
- 37:30Speaker 1: one earlier that was even probably more violent than that
- 37:34Speaker 1: one on the running back and but it both of
- 37:37Speaker 1: them are really clean tackles. Where is the line for
- 37:40Speaker 1: you in spring ball or and we'll call them two
- 37:46Speaker 1: days even that's exactly what it is. When you're starting
- 37:48Speaker 1: practicing back, you know, before week one in actual contact
- 37:53Speaker 1: because as you said, you need it because you can't
- 37:56Speaker 1: send everything. But also you can lose players just like
- 38:00Speaker 1: that for for games or the whole season. What's that
- 38:02Speaker 1: line for you? Well, you know, one of the big
- 38:04Speaker 1: things that we really focus on is like the tempo
- 38:07Speaker 1: of practice. You know, we just got through practicing, and
- 38:10Speaker 1: you know, if if you have a to where a
- 38:13Speaker 1: pro like a shot to where it's gonna be face
- 38:16Speaker 1: to face, or you're at an angle almost like ten
- 38:19Speaker 1: and two, then we're gonna thud up. It's gonna be
- 38:23Speaker 1: everything that a tackle is gonna be except for taking
- 38:27Speaker 1: them to the ground, you know. And then once you
- 38:29Speaker 1: don't have that angle, if you're coming from the side,
- 38:33Speaker 1: then we tag off. You've got to get in a
- 38:35Speaker 1: really good position. I mean more than likely that player
- 38:38Speaker 1: you're gonna you know, gay to roll them and go low,
- 38:41Speaker 1: you know, to try to get them down. Um. And
- 38:44Speaker 1: so we spend a lot of time, um showing examples
- 38:49Speaker 1: of that. We spend a lot of time bragging on
- 38:52Speaker 1: our players that do it right. Um, they're gonna hear
- 38:56Speaker 1: a very loud head coach if they do it wrong,
- 39:00Speaker 1: you know, and then we just we talked to our
- 39:02Speaker 1: guys all the time about being pros and that's like, uh,
- 39:06Speaker 1: a lot of different levels. Being a good dad, being
- 39:09Speaker 1: a good husband. You're gonna be a professional at something,
- 39:11Speaker 1: but also playing on on Sunday. And the fastest way
- 39:14Speaker 1: to get cut in the NFL is not being able
- 39:16Speaker 1: to practice the right way. Do you take somebody down
- 39:19Speaker 1: the NFL, man, You're gonna get cut, you know, and
- 39:21Speaker 1: so um that that resonates with him, and so it's
- 39:25Speaker 1: a lot of practice habits. We used to play bull
- 39:28Speaker 1: in the ring. I know, you look at me and think,
- 39:29Speaker 1: for sure, Bobby's a former athlete. Massive dude, I know,
- 39:32Speaker 1: I get a coach. People see me all the time
- 39:33Speaker 1: and they're like, you must play still. But you know,
- 39:35Speaker 1: we we used to go full bull in the ring
- 39:37Speaker 1: and you get in you all do I mean, it
- 39:38Speaker 1: was just boom boom. Do you guys even do that
- 39:40Speaker 1: stuff anymore? No, the n c A is actually outlawed it,
- 39:43Speaker 1: so you can't do it anymore. You know. They they've
- 39:46Speaker 1: changed a lot of stuff, which is good. It's really
- 39:48Speaker 1: good for the game. Um, because I remember the same
- 39:51Speaker 1: thing I remember bulling the ring and the Oklahoma drill
- 39:53Speaker 1: and everything else like that. You know, so you can't
- 39:57Speaker 1: even you can't do that anymore. Do you ever have
- 39:59Speaker 1: to stop up yourself? Because obviously, if a big play
- 40:01Speaker 1: happens going to bad, there's a camera on you. They
- 40:03Speaker 1: may not go to it. They may go to it.
- 40:04Speaker 1: But do you ever You're you're either so mad or
- 40:08Speaker 1: you're so confused, and you have to go, Okay, I'm
- 40:10Speaker 1: on camera. I need to control because this is for
- 40:13Speaker 1: sure gonna be viral, or this is for sure if
- 40:15Speaker 1: I react in a way that I feel and so
- 40:17Speaker 1: I'm gonna temper it back. Does that happen in your mind? Uh?
- 40:21Speaker 1: It happened that way. Saturday. We jumped offsides like four
- 40:24Speaker 1: or five times, you know, and or had procedure pelities
- 40:28Speaker 1: with offensive line and the last one, you know, I
- 40:31Speaker 1: said something the right tackle and he said it was
- 40:34Speaker 1: the left tackle, and I lost it on him. So
- 40:37Speaker 1: at that point when loose, I was like, all right,
- 40:39Speaker 1: I gotta calm down. But one thing we talk about
- 40:42Speaker 1: as a program, I mean literally, it's talking about what's next,
- 40:45Speaker 1: you know, like and so I think there's a lot
- 40:49Speaker 1: of hypocrisy in coaching. If you can't be that what's next,
- 40:53Speaker 1: you know, being able to get to the next play
- 40:55Speaker 1: and and then try to take care of it whenever
- 40:58Speaker 1: you get to the sideline or or in another time,
- 41:01Speaker 1: you know, even the next day. And so we talked
- 41:04Speaker 1: about it all the time. It's it's hard to do,
- 41:06Speaker 1: but you know, it's easy to say, hard to do.
- 41:08Speaker 1: We got to We just keep practicing it, you know.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Here here people even saying it to me, what's next,
- 41:14Speaker 1: you know, and that's kind of the trigger word of
- 41:16Speaker 1: you know, get to the next play. This is a
- 41:18Speaker 1: kind of a cliche question, but I asked about it
- 41:22Speaker 1: specifically because I've been to lobb like a bunch of
- 41:24Speaker 1: towards Lubbock. Our show is on in Lubbock. I've been
- 41:26Speaker 1: in Lubbock many many times, very familiar with the town.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I think one of the things that people will say,
- 41:31Speaker 1: and I like Lubbock. I think one of the things
- 41:33Speaker 1: people say is like, why would you ever go to Lubbock.
- 41:35Speaker 1: It's one of the arguments against Texas Tech. Now you
- 41:39Speaker 1: have a top twenty five recruiting class, which I just saw,
- 41:41Speaker 1: and so and on top of that, it's, you know,
- 41:43Speaker 1: the first time that you guys have had a winning
- 41:45Speaker 1: record in conference since like over ten years. You know,
- 41:48Speaker 1: I don't know that. So what Yeah, what are the
- 41:52Speaker 1: ingredients that you have there that is you know, kind
- 41:56Speaker 1: of eclipsing that to make people go, we want to
- 41:59Speaker 1: go to tech and we are going to win. H man.
- 42:01Speaker 1: It's it's a bunch of things, you know. I think
- 42:03Speaker 1: it's the people that we hired. You know, we have
- 42:05Speaker 1: a very positive, a lot of energy. Um, whenever you
- 42:09Speaker 1: come in this building. Um, you know, I was a
- 42:12Speaker 1: high school coach for twenty three years, so I think
- 42:14Speaker 1: I have a lot of Texas ties to where a
- 42:17Speaker 1: lot of high school coaches trust you know what I say,
- 42:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to do for their players. I'm gonna
- 42:21Speaker 1: try to do it every single day. Um. The university
- 42:25Speaker 1: is amazing. I mean you actually you come out here.
- 42:28Speaker 1: You can go to med school, you can be a dentist,
- 42:30Speaker 1: you can be a nurse, you can go to bed school. Um,
- 42:33Speaker 1: so you have a lot of different things that you
- 42:36Speaker 1: can study. We're really big on, you know, getting these
- 42:39Speaker 1: guys to uh really appreciate the education and study what
- 42:43Speaker 1: they want to study. And I think, but I think
- 42:46Speaker 1: the biggest thing I tell I tell Red raiders a lot.
- 42:49Speaker 1: You know, we're we have been our own worst enemy
- 42:51Speaker 1: at times by saying that it's hard to get out here,
- 42:55Speaker 1: and it's not. I mean, there's a plane taking off
- 42:58Speaker 1: every thirty minutes from love Field from Dallas to love It,
- 43:01Speaker 1: you know. I mean, there's a direct flight to Austin.
- 43:04Speaker 1: There's direct flight to Houston. And our competitors, like Oklahoma
- 43:09Speaker 1: State you can't fly in still water like ains. I well,
- 43:12Speaker 1: you can't fly ind Ans I was. So they've been
- 43:15Speaker 1: recruiting at a high level. Why not Texas Tech? And
- 43:18Speaker 1: so we have no excuses whatsoever. We We recruit our
- 43:22Speaker 1: tails off, and um, I think it helps knowing the
- 43:25Speaker 1: coaches like we do. I have seven other highest former
- 43:28Speaker 1: high school coaches on my staff, some of them in
- 43:31Speaker 1: coach for twenty something years and some of them only
- 43:33Speaker 1: one year in high school. But there's a lot of
- 43:35Speaker 1: relationships built to where guys trust that they need to
- 43:39Speaker 1: come out here and see what we have to offer. Yeah,
- 43:41Speaker 1: there's Southwest flight to love It constantly. I mean, I
- 43:44Speaker 1: think love It is often overlooked. I like love as
- 43:47Speaker 1: far as college towns go. I think love is actually
- 43:49Speaker 1: pretty great, and I think it's just been said for
- 43:51Speaker 1: so long now that people say it without even being
- 43:53Speaker 1: knowledgeable on what they're saying. Yeah, the other way, you know.
- 43:56Speaker 1: The first you know, I got hired before the season
- 43:58Speaker 1: was over last year, so I got to do a
- 44:00Speaker 1: lot of recruiting, you know, and watched them and the
- 44:04Speaker 1: very first game, uh, now it's a second game we play.
- 44:08Speaker 1: We're playing Oklahoma State in Spencer Tillman, which I know. Um,
- 44:12Speaker 1: he was doing a game and I went up and
- 44:13Speaker 1: met William you know, ten minutes four, and I said, he,
- 44:16Speaker 1: I had this spreadsheet of Hey, y' are gonna say
- 44:21Speaker 1: because I've heard you say before it's hard to get
- 44:22Speaker 1: to love it, guys, let me show you love it
- 44:26Speaker 1: like I'm saying that, you know. And it's funny the
- 44:31Speaker 1: stuff that people say. You know. Of course they're gonna
- 44:34Speaker 1: say the wind blows, well, yeah, blows a little bit
- 44:36Speaker 1: in the spring. But I'll tell you this, there's no
- 44:39Speaker 1: humidity in the summer. Um. I went to one of
- 44:42Speaker 1: my coaches weddings in Houston. I stepped off the plane
- 44:45Speaker 1: and that humidity hit me in the face because I've
- 44:48Speaker 1: been out here in West Texas and wasn't any humidity,
- 44:51Speaker 1: you know, the mornings are absolutely incredible, um you know.
- 44:54Speaker 1: And so there's so many things that I think people
- 44:57Speaker 1: have used against us, and and we're here to flipped
- 45:00Speaker 1: the script and and get people to understand how special
- 45:02Speaker 1: this place is. Not to mention, we have a uh
- 45:06Speaker 1: AN administration that has committed two hundred million dollars to
- 45:09Speaker 1: a brand new facility that is actually breaking ground. Like
- 45:13Speaker 1: as soon as we beat Ou, they were already bringing
- 45:15Speaker 1: in stuff to knock down the south end zone and so, um,
- 45:19Speaker 1: you know, I don't we know talk as chief. And
- 45:22Speaker 1: there's a lot of universities that Parker bulldozer next to
- 45:25Speaker 1: something and say hey, we're building something, and it doesn't
- 45:27Speaker 1: happen for four or five years. Well, there's already stuff
- 45:30Speaker 1: being done and uh you know, dirt being moved to
- 45:34Speaker 1: to build this new facility. You have a storied high
- 45:37Speaker 1: school career. What you've mentioned, did you as you were coaching,
- 45:40Speaker 1: who was the best player you played against as a
- 45:42Speaker 1: high school coach where you were like, glee, I've never
- 45:45Speaker 1: seen anything like that before. Kyler Murray me twice. Yeah,
- 45:49Speaker 1: he's a dude, man. I I got to coach him
- 45:51Speaker 1: in the Under Arm or All American Game. Too, and
- 45:54Speaker 1: know him and his dad really well and so offensively
- 45:57Speaker 1: Kyler Murray and then a kid that played at Wake
- 45:59Speaker 1: Forest been played for the Giants for a while, Nikia Whitlock. Um.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Nikia was like all at a sec and um, he
- 46:08Speaker 1: played nose guard at about five eleven, you know, two
- 46:11Speaker 1: thirty pounds and you know you just couldn't block him
- 46:14Speaker 1: and uh did the same thing in college. Have you
- 46:17Speaker 1: talked to Matt Rowles since he took the Nebraska job. Oh, yeah,
- 46:21Speaker 1: we were. We're usually uh that's my guy. Um, we're
- 46:25Speaker 1: usually texting every day and probably on the phone once
- 46:29Speaker 1: or twice a week. But you know, I was, he
- 46:31Speaker 1: and I were texting last night, and uh, I was
- 46:34Speaker 1: fired up. I I really, Um, you know, I was
- 46:37Speaker 1: gonna support no matter what because he's a good friend.
- 46:39Speaker 1: But I was glad he didn't sit out. You know,
- 46:42Speaker 1: he's not a guy that can't sit around. He's a
- 46:44Speaker 1: guy that you know, needs to be around players, and
- 46:48Speaker 1: he's good for college football. So I'm glad he got
- 46:51Speaker 1: back in. And I thought that was you know, I
- 46:54Speaker 1: sent him a tweet, um, because there was a tweet
- 46:58Speaker 1: a couple of weeks Agore. Last week it said I
- 47:00Speaker 1: I would stay where they finished and beat Iowa. And
- 47:05Speaker 1: he said, are you trying to get me taking the
- 47:07Speaker 1: Nebraska job? And I'm not gonna lie. I really kind
- 47:09Speaker 1: of was because I think perfect Nebraska. And do you
- 47:13Speaker 1: think your son will hop over there with him? Is
- 47:16Speaker 1: there a possibility of that? You know? Um, they talked,
- 47:21Speaker 1: I think Garty is going to try to stay in
- 47:23Speaker 1: the NFL. If not is but better being loved Texas.
- 47:26Speaker 1: You know, I've offered him a job, and you know,
- 47:29Speaker 1: I told him, I said, you take care of what
- 47:30Speaker 1: you need to take care of right now. Um, you know,
- 47:33Speaker 1: And he talked to coach Wilkes and you know, said
- 47:36Speaker 1: he's all in and focused there. But um, I think
- 47:40Speaker 1: at some point, um, you know, he'll make a decision
- 47:44Speaker 1: at the end of the year to either stay in
- 47:46Speaker 1: the NFL, which he's got an opportunity to, or come
- 47:49Speaker 1: here to love it. Let's stop this interview with the
- 47:51Speaker 1: coach McGuire for just a second to talk about Draft
- 47:52Speaker 1: King sports Book, an official sports betting partner of the NFL.
- 47:55Speaker 1: There might go to when betting on the NFL. Obviously,
- 47:58Speaker 1: we set to parlay a minute to go. It was
- 48:00Speaker 1: an NFL as five college games. But man, it's time
- 48:02Speaker 1: to go. I told you, Eddie, that Cowboys Colts game
- 48:05Speaker 1: makes me nervous. Yeah, I probably stay away from that one.
- 48:08Speaker 1: In general, I'm not You're still You've been Colways eleven.

- 48:48Speaker 1: nine and now back to our interview with coach McGuire.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Got three questions for you left. I want to introduce
- 48:52Speaker 1: you to Eddie. Eddie, this is coach Coach McGuire. If
- 48:54Speaker 1: you want to say, what's up? Hey, coach? Good talking
- 48:57Speaker 1: to you. I have a question for you. I want
- 48:58Speaker 1: to ask you. I want to ask you by halftime interviews.
- 49:01Speaker 1: So you're down fourteen points, You're running to the locker room.
- 49:06Speaker 1: You just want to get there to talk to your team,
- 49:08Speaker 1: but somebody stops you with a microphone. Coach, talk to
- 49:10Speaker 1: me real quick, what are you gonna do in the
- 49:11Speaker 1: second half? Like? Do you like doing those interviews one
- 49:14Speaker 1: and two? How do you come up with your answer
- 49:17Speaker 1: so quickly? Well, first I try to focus on being
- 49:20Speaker 1: really nice, um, I mean like, and then usually I
- 49:24Speaker 1: do have a notepad that I write stuff down that
- 49:27Speaker 1: I'm going to talk to the players in at halftime, um,
- 49:30Speaker 1: just constantly throughout the first half. And so usually because
- 49:33Speaker 1: I've written something down that I'm gonna hit them with, uh,
- 49:37Speaker 1: there's probably already a thought, uh in a different way
- 49:41Speaker 1: to to say it, but probably already thought in my
- 49:43Speaker 1: head to be able to say to report at halftime. Yeah,
- 49:46Speaker 1: those I always feel awkward for the reporter. I just
- 49:49Speaker 1: feel it because you know, you know they know, and
- 49:51Speaker 1: you know they know you know, and it's like you
- 49:54Speaker 1: just you've already agreed to do it, so you do
- 49:56Speaker 1: it and you get out of there, right, Yeah, you know,
- 50:00Speaker 1: and you just just try to. Uh. The way I
- 50:03Speaker 1: look at it too, is, um, you know, we're both
- 50:06Speaker 1: trying to do our jobs and uh, and we can
- 50:10Speaker 1: help each other through that. It might not be right
- 50:13Speaker 1: there at that point, but you know, you just try
- 50:14Speaker 1: to always we talk about it as a team. You
- 50:16Speaker 1: try to treat people the way you want to be treated.
- 50:18Speaker 1: And you know they're gonna have us again or um,
- 50:22Speaker 1: you know they're gonna be on TV, and you know
- 50:25Speaker 1: if you treated them right, then whenever you've screwed up
- 50:28Speaker 1: a call or something like that, at least they're not
- 50:30Speaker 1: gonna just totally destroy you all. Right now, we have
- 50:34Speaker 1: two questions left, and this one I like a lot
- 50:37Speaker 1: because you beat both Texas and Oklahoma in the same
- 50:41Speaker 1: year your first year, and that that had actually never
- 50:43Speaker 1: been done before it tech would've been both in the
- 50:45Speaker 1: same year, which was sweeter. Coach, don't say both them
- 50:48Speaker 1: the same, which was sweeter. How that that's a tough question.
- 50:53Speaker 1: You know, I'm from Texas, you know, uh, born in Texas,
- 50:57Speaker 1: never coached anywhere else, never lived anywhere else. I would
- 51:00Speaker 1: probably say that first one, you know, University of Texas.
- 51:03Speaker 1: The other thing about that, you know that it was packed.
- 51:06Speaker 1: I mean there was there was nowhere to even moved
- 51:10Speaker 1: in that stadium, and it was just incredible atmosphere. And
- 51:13Speaker 1: so I would probably say that, um, you know, and
- 51:18Speaker 1: and just the history of Texas Tech and Texas of
- 51:21Speaker 1: coaches leaving Tech to go to Texas, I think there
- 51:25Speaker 1: was there's a good rivaled hate. Um. And I used
- 51:30Speaker 1: that as a strong word. But if you were here
- 51:33Speaker 1: in basketball season, um, you definitely would have said the
- 51:36Speaker 1: same thing. So I think I think that first one, man,
- 51:40Speaker 1: I mean, what a year your first year taking over
- 51:43Speaker 1: that program. You beat them both that Oklahoma game. My
- 51:47Speaker 1: wife is a massive Ou fan, and I'm I'm from Arkansas,
- 51:50Speaker 1: a massive Arkansas fan, and I don't like Oklahoma, but
- 51:53Speaker 1: I fake it because I don't want to have a
- 51:56Speaker 1: fight at the house. But I was rooting for you
- 51:58Speaker 1: guys so hard and overtime, I mean, when that game
- 52:00Speaker 1: went to overtime, and it's hard because it's when you guys,
- 52:04Speaker 1: when Pop Gabriel I was like you, oh, oh no,
- 52:07Speaker 1: you know you gotta like keep it in even though
- 52:10Speaker 1: you don't. Um, coach, congratulations on just a wonderful first season.
- 52:16Speaker 1: If we look to next season, which this will be
- 52:19Speaker 1: the last question, like what have you learned here this
- 52:21Speaker 1: year that you will like that you would like to
- 52:23Speaker 1: do differently next year as the head coach Texas tech. Um,
- 52:30Speaker 1: that's uh, it's been such a great year just because
- 52:33Speaker 1: of the buying that we've had from our team, you know,
- 52:35Speaker 1: and that's tough the first year. Um, you know, the
- 52:39Speaker 1: biggest thing that we continually talk about is, uh, you know,
- 52:44Speaker 1: we're in the country in sacks giving up now. I
- 52:48Speaker 1: know we throw the ball, so that's gonna always show up.
- 52:51Speaker 1: But you know, we just got to continue to grow
- 52:53Speaker 1: to protect our our offensive line. Quarterback, that's all of us,
- 52:56Speaker 1: that's play calling, that's you know, so I a lot
- 53:00Speaker 1: of stuff in the off season to be focused on
- 53:02Speaker 1: getting better up front. We're already starting to experiment with
- 53:05Speaker 1: some stuff because we have so many We got ten
- 53:07Speaker 1: starters coming back on offense and possibly seven back on defense.
- 53:11Speaker 1: So we feel like we're gonna have a really special
- 53:13Speaker 1: team and so just kind of keep building that and uh,
- 53:18Speaker 1: I think that's a big focus, you know, and we
- 53:21Speaker 1: just keep being positively our kids. Man, We love our
- 53:23Speaker 1: kids and and want to we want their best part
- 53:26Speaker 1: of their day when they walk into the football facility,
- 53:28Speaker 1: that that's their best part of their day that they
- 53:30Speaker 1: see guys fired up to see them. And so we're
- 53:33Speaker 1: just continually doing that. Did they try to get you
- 53:35Speaker 1: to change your name? Because my name is Bobby and
- 53:37Speaker 1: it's it's my real name, body, but it's like when
- 53:39Speaker 1: you gonna go by Bob and I'm like, I'm not
- 53:41Speaker 1: going by Bob. I'm not I'm not a Bob. Do
- 53:43Speaker 1: they go, hey Joe, why don't we go Joe? They
- 53:46Speaker 1: ever try that with you? Well, whenever I got the
- 53:49Speaker 1: job in two thousand three at Cedar Hills being the
- 53:52Speaker 1: head coach, they ask a reporter, UM asked me, what
- 53:55Speaker 1: am I gonna go by Joe or Joey? And there
- 53:58Speaker 1: was a guy that uh in Dent Ryan Joey Florence
- 54:01Speaker 1: that he just wanted to state championship. I said, well,
- 54:04Speaker 1: it's worked out for Joey Fordce some wonna stick. What
- 54:06Speaker 1: my mama calls me, my mama Joey, And so I've
- 54:10Speaker 1: stuck with Joey. Where are you from in Arkansas? From
- 54:13Speaker 1: central Arkansas. It's a town about seven hundred called Mountain Pine,
- 54:16Speaker 1: and Little Rock lived there. Um oh yeah, I spent obviously.
- 54:20Speaker 1: Really it's they're from They're from Arkansas. Yeah. I grew
- 54:24Speaker 1: up a razorback fan. I I we have season tickets
- 54:28Speaker 1: where So I was born in Texikanada, and so I
- 54:32Speaker 1: was born in the Texas side of course, and then
- 54:34Speaker 1: all my families from East Texas in Arkansas. So in fact,
- 54:38Speaker 1: my cousins were out here. They lived in Fayetteville. They
- 54:41Speaker 1: were out here for the the O U game this
- 54:44Speaker 1: last weekend. So who was the quarterback when you were
- 54:47Speaker 1: a fan as a kid? Grow Oh Man Quinn and
- 54:50Speaker 1: my dude, yeah he's a That was Verry Foster, Quinn Grove,
- 54:55Speaker 1: Juju Horseshaw um Man. Those those teams in the Outwiss Conference.
- 55:00Speaker 1: You know they went three years, it was three years
- 55:02Speaker 1: a row win in the Southwest Conference and all three
- 55:04Speaker 1: major sports. And so, man, you're growing up in that
- 55:07Speaker 1: area and just I love the Arkansas would be cool
- 55:11Speaker 1: you know. Uh, it's a possibility of playing them in
- 55:13Speaker 1: a bowl game, so that would be pretty pretty cool.
- 55:16Speaker 1: We do. Yeah, but I'll just act like I don't
- 55:18Speaker 1: know you. I'm just gonna be honest. I'm just you're
- 55:22Speaker 1: cool and coch but yeah, loyalty, coach. Congratulations, really cool.
- 55:27Speaker 1: And I'll just officially I'll let you know. I'm entering
- 55:29Speaker 1: the portal myself, so if you need me, let me know.
- 55:31Speaker 1: It'll be up on the site. You know how to
- 55:32Speaker 1: get ahold. Yeah, yeah, congrats coach. Thank you for your time,
- 55:35Speaker 1: and good luck to the Red Raiders in ball season. Hey, man,
- 55:37Speaker 1: thank you all so much for having me. Alright, man,
- 55:40Speaker 1: all right, thanks coach McGuire. Awesome, you guys, that is awesome.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Huh the best. Yeah. I didn't. I didn't know much
- 55:45Speaker 1: about him as a person. He's all I want to
- 55:49Speaker 1: be his friend. Yeah, I want to go play for him. Hey,
- 55:51Speaker 1: if they come on the podcast, are we friends, We're fans,
- 55:54Speaker 1: friends and friends, friends and fans. Yeah, like I see
- 55:56Speaker 1: instance there is my friends. That's my buddy here. Yeah,
- 55:59Speaker 1: we have lunchbox in from store, Losers and Bobby Bones Show.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Because we don't know anything about soccer, so we got.
- 56:04Speaker 1: We have some soccer questions. First of all, what are
- 56:06Speaker 1: the odds the United States beats the Netherlands? Oh man,
- 56:10Speaker 1: it's gonna be tough if we're gonna beat him, And
- 56:11Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be in a shootout. We're gonna
- 56:13Speaker 1: have to play for a tie and win in a shootout.
- 56:16Speaker 1: Don't even play for a tie? So only play defense
- 56:18Speaker 1: when you play for a tie? Does that mean you
- 56:20Speaker 1: don't stretch the offense out and create space for the
- 56:23Speaker 1: other team? Right? You counterattack, you pack it in, pack
- 56:26Speaker 1: it in and hope you get one breakaway. Yeah, so
- 56:31Speaker 1: you play defense, you get all eleven men behind the ball,
- 56:33Speaker 1: and then you hope for a breakaway at some point
- 56:36Speaker 1: in the game to score your goal. What team does
- 56:38Speaker 1: Pele play for? What he does not play? No, he's
- 56:42Speaker 1: not dead, like you're so smart, and he played in
- 56:46Speaker 1: the seventies. How is he still alive? I think he
- 56:49Speaker 1: just went to the hospital though. But by the time
- 56:52Speaker 1: this airs so alternate version, pile just died. I'm sorry
- 56:58Speaker 1: I asked that question. Um so, yeah, but rest in
- 57:02Speaker 1: piece to Plee. But he played for who? Lunchbos Brazil
- 57:05Speaker 1: and all our Brazilian listeners out there, rest in piece
- 57:08Speaker 1: one of the greats peal um. All right, now back
- 57:11Speaker 1: to the current version. So he's he's still alive. Yeah,
- 57:13Speaker 1: he's still good. So what's a set I keep hearing
- 57:16Speaker 1: people talking about set pieces? Okay, that's like a free kick,
- 57:19Speaker 1: like when there's a foul, you set the ball down
- 57:22Speaker 1: and it's when the ball is stopped and you're kicking
- 57:24Speaker 1: it back into play. A corner kick, like the corner
- 57:26Speaker 1: to the flag. You capture the flag with the ball
- 57:28Speaker 1: in the corner. Yeah, that's a corner kick. Is a
- 57:30Speaker 1: set piece? A free kick outside of the box is
- 57:33Speaker 1: a set piece? Is that where people can get set
- 57:35Speaker 1: instead they have time to set up. I don't know
- 57:39Speaker 1: if that's why they call it that, but I think
- 57:40Speaker 1: it's because the ball is setting there. But I don't know. Okay,
- 57:45Speaker 1: so what's the guys? What was the kid's name who
- 57:48Speaker 1: was supposed to be a star, Freddie and Do? Yeah?
- 57:50Speaker 1: What teams he played for? I don't think he plays
- 57:52Speaker 1: soccer anymore? He used, He probably does. He may have
- 57:56Speaker 1: met Pale when he was younger. Did he play in
- 57:57Speaker 1: the World Cup ever? No, he never did anything like this.
- 58:02Speaker 1: He's famous, Yeah, Freddie Ado went He was supposed to
- 58:06Speaker 1: be the next great American soccer player, went pro at
- 58:09Speaker 1: like fifteen years old, played in the MLS and just
- 58:12Speaker 1: never amounted to anything. The United States plays Netherlands, I
- 58:17Speaker 1: just can't think of anything that Netherlands should beat US
- 58:19Speaker 1: at except four Netherlands trivia. That's the only thing they
- 58:22Speaker 1: should beat us at. DoD they have great athletes? Are
- 58:25Speaker 1: they just that much better at soccer? I think they
- 58:27Speaker 1: have great athletes. I think every country has great athletes.
- 58:30Speaker 1: No matter what country you are, you don't have that
- 58:31Speaker 1: many people. It's all a numbers game, correct, But I
- 58:34Speaker 1: think they're really good at soccer. They have a good
- 58:36Speaker 1: soccer team, and they have athletes, and they're supposed to
- 58:41Speaker 1: beat us, which is sad. Is this like the Olympics
- 58:45Speaker 1: where if your mom's from the Netherlands but you're American,
- 58:48Speaker 1: you can play for either one, correct, And once you
- 58:51Speaker 1: play for the national team, though, you are committed to
- 58:54Speaker 1: that team ever forever. So if I if I wanted to,
- 58:57Speaker 1: because a lot of people know me from my Japanese heritage,
- 59:00Speaker 1: if I wanted to go play for Japan, I couldn't
- 59:02Speaker 1: in eight years come back to play for the United
- 59:04Speaker 1: States correct. From my understanding, there was a guy I
- 59:07Speaker 1: know that he wanted to play for Italy. He had
- 59:09Speaker 1: Italy or US a few years back, and he chose
- 59:12Speaker 1: Italy and he didn't make the team, didn't make the
- 59:15Speaker 1: World Cup roster. Speaking for a friend that's a sports better.
- 59:19Speaker 1: Do you think this game, yeah, do you think this
- 59:22Speaker 1: game is gonna be within one? Aren't they? Well, they're that.
- 59:28Speaker 1: That's a tricky question because if it's one, oh, if
- 59:30Speaker 1: you're down one goal with ten minutes to go, you're
- 59:33Speaker 1: gonna push everyone forward and risk giving up that. Think
- 59:36Speaker 1: Croatia just one about two. There's been a few, like
- 59:39Speaker 1: multiple multiple score. But what he's saying is if you
- 59:43Speaker 1: move everybody to try to catch up, they have an
- 59:44Speaker 1: open goal and they can score two real quick. Yeah. Yeah,
- 59:46Speaker 1: so you're you're taking a chance, but a better bet
- 59:49Speaker 1: because a lot of first half are ties. They don't
- 59:52Speaker 1: score a lot of goal in the first half, so
- 59:55Speaker 1: they do a whole goal in the first half like
- 59:57Speaker 1: they try sneak attack first. I should tell my friend
- 59:59Speaker 1: maybe plus one first half, maybe plus point five first half, yes,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: yeah yeah, or the tie or the tie first half,
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the draw, yes, Okay, what after five fouls, they foull out. No,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: there's no fouling. You can foul out if you get
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: two yellow cards or if you get a red card,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: that's it. But when they call a foul, what does
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: that even mean? It just means it's a foul. But
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: if you can if no, no, I know it's I
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: know what it means, it's a foul. What does that?
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: But they stop play? But they're like, foul nothing happens ever,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: No, no no, no. If you are a continuous offender, if
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: you foul multiple times, like that's five times you foul
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: register on the same they give you a yellow car
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: light on Halloween, your light off and Halloween so kids
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: don't come knock bones. Did you know that once you
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: get ejected from the game, you can't come out, like
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: so if you get a red card, your guys out
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: and you can't bring a sub in. So it's like
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: a power play. I didn't know that that. I did
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: not know that until for the rest of the game,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Right have a whole game. You play a man down. Yeah,
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: And so when people have yellow cards coming into it
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: from the last match, that's very it's yellow card from
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: the last match only matters for the group stage. So
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: if you would have got two yellow cards in those
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: three games, you would have to sit out the next match,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: even the third game. In the first game, yes, I
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: thought it was only like two games back to back.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: It hardcore. But if you get two yellow cards in
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: the same game, it equals a red card and you're
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: out of the game. You know, yellow card Ocean Avenue,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: that's a good one. I wish that would be yellow card.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I'd like Ocean Avenue. There's a place, no ocean nev
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: We're going to rock, that's what it is. Don't want Yeah,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: And that's the thing about yellow cards. You don't want
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: to go to Ocean Avenue, No, you don't. And another
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: thing I learned too was so the conundrum when what's
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: the guy's name, Polis Polistic when he was out hurt
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and he was like grabbing his nuts like they can't
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: sub them. They can't say, all right, he's out for
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: a little bit, because once they take him out, he
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: can't come back in the game. That's tricky, man. Do
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: you have yellow card, Mike, Yeah, yeah, we only can
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: play a few seconds, but we can turn it down
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: and hello card. Was this hardcore? Yeah? Punk pop pop
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: punk can you turn it up again? I just want
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: to hear the chorus. You want one of these? You
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: just don't want the one when you play soccer. Wait,
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: we can only do five seconds at the time. It's
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: like listening to music on a skip c D man,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: will you hold that up? Wait? Lunch who's the Is
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: Argentina the favorite? No, Brazil, Brazil, it's Brazil and then
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: France and then probably Argentina and England. Here it is,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: of course, why don't they do it for us? Here
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: we go and fuld this down. I had a it
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: in that band. Take Yeah, um, okay, lunchbox, how America
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: plus three? How much? Let's just say, hypothetically, if you
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: had a friend that I was doing pretty good over
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: now betting department, how much would you put on it? Oh?
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Thirty bucks? My standard unit of bet is a hundred.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: That's my one unit. Well then one unit, okay, that's
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: your unless you want to go half a unit. I
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: don't know if you're I don't know if you're man
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: enough to go half a unit, like, if you're willing
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: to sacrifice to go below one unit. But yeah, the
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: odds are against us. Don't know if poliic is gonna play.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: Don't know if Josh Sargent, who's our forward up top,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: is gonna play. Wait, aren't they both forwards? No, I'm
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: a pelistic plays in midfield. So Pulisic does he start
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: in the Premier League? Sometimes he's not even gonna have
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: to start in the Premier League. And he's our stars,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: he's so good and he's capt in America. But he
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: doesn't even good. Point, he doesn't even start. He starts
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: sometimes du Premier League. So there's there, but we act
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: like we got lucky. We have one of the best
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: players in all the time that the guys like the
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: reserve bookkeeper. He's right, though, he's so good, why does
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: he not start for the Premier League? I mean it's
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: just because there are better players than him. There are
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: better players, and also scheme. They play a different scheme
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: that on that team. You know, just that's where they
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: scheme using the better players. Okay, who is he? Who's
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: he with the Premier League? Chelsea? He's like the six
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Man of the year. Ron Artest is the Ron Artest.
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: He's he's a James Harden when he was an Okay, see,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: oh yeah, a lot of potential. That's good. Damn, I'm
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: surprised he's over there. No, he's not a star. Is
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: our best player? Yeah? Wow, I don't know. I feel good.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: From me, I'm going, I'm hammering money line. Why not,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: it's America, let's go why not? Why not? It's money,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: America over money? Man? Oh, Duke, all America over money.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: That's interesting, Mike, we had all our spots. Okay, let's
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: do our final thought and uh lunch. You should, by
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the way, check out the sore losers lunch. Why you
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: can do one of these two? Um, it's literally nothing.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: It's just how we end the show. Final thought. Regarding
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: the weekend ahead in sports, Kelvin kickoff, Kelvin, kickoff, Kelvin.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I'm just excited over the next month. Man. We got
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: a great time of year right now. We got the holidays,
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: Bowl season, you got basketball football, It's getting down to
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: the stretch of the NFL, and I'm just excited for
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: this next month, a little bit of soccer. Hopefully we
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: can stay in it. Right, It's gonna be fun. Adam
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: degenerous from I said. I said, Adam's hair looks like
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Ellen from the nineties. There to come back from. That's
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: why I said, Adam de General. Do y'all know how Razor?
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: Then the margin is in college football between being a
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: very mad team to a really solid team. Y I
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: tell you, the Arkansas Razorbacks have have been that team
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: this yet, and it's been maddening. We are nine points
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: away from being attendant to football team. No, that's not
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: that's not me. Like, this is not me like like
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: fabricating some sort of hope for my team, although it
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: is hope for next year. It's the thing that makes
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: us crazy, and it is also the thing that I
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: love about college football. I didn't do that, Guys, I
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: want to do that. I say that to myself alone
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: at night. The only nine point it's awful. It's like
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: it's all complaining about the refs. I do that too,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: but I try not to do it publicly on Twitter.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: You know that was that was more a state. That
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: was a more of a state of why I love
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: college football and the thing that drives you crazy as
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: a fan official Jordan Davis, dude takes over a day.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Sometimes you're reply to a text once he won the
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: c m A, whoa, Bobby, We just look ahead, say
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: your piece there, buddy. I always get back to you.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Go ahead, George, Yeah, exactly, always get back to me.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Go ahead, go ahead, big, big time, talk about what
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: ever you gonna say? No, did you bring your Yeah,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: that's right now. I was gonna say that I'm excited
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: for Mike White. I never think I would be pumped
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: to see a Jets Vikings game, but I want to
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: see that guy do well. Like, so what do I
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: see you looking at your I used that emoji, the
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: facts machine emoji, and I'll send it to somebody when
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: I'm like, this is facts and I'm about to get
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: him facts right now? Come on. I text Jordan a
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: little something said, Hey, we won't say what it is,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: but like, you want to do this hang out to
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Jordan our friends. I texted to him twelve pm lunchtime.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Do you want to When I heard back from Jordan's
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: the following day at nine am, yeah, okay, yeah, stuttered up, buddy.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I believe that I was traveling internationally. Was in Canada.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Hey man. The one thing I'm not doing a traveling internationally.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Sorry for the that's how he let it wait. Did
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: I at least say sorry for the delay? That would
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: have been the right thing. Yeah, that's staying no, you didn't.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: That was when I was I was on a hate Yeah.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: What do you say, buddy? The phones don't work out?
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: There too many trees around Eddie. Yeah, man, I'm a
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: little bummed. Uh you know, I'm the head coach of
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: my son's nine year old basketball team. Go kick off.
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Kelvin here is the assistant. I'm gonna be out of town,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: so I'm not gonna be able to head coach this
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: this game on Saturday, but kick off Kelvin Clevin is
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: taking my place. So um, hopefully he learned from the
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: best and he's gonna be my best sub man. I mean,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: we need to win. We're one and oh right now, Jordan,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: we're looking for undefeated season, so a lot of pressure
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: on pressure debut debut coaching gig here. I'm pretty sure
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: the kids are gonna ask for me after this week
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: every week. Hey, coach Eddie, he can just keep on
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the road. You stay bad. Yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: looking for the tc U Kansas State game. I think
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: that's too similar. Even the color are the same. Oh yeah,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: and for a color blind guy, like it's tough. I'm
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: looking forward to the game. But I'm Also, I know
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: that I'm going to be confused unless their pants are
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: completely different colors. I just don't like Bobby's love for TCU.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: Adam's killing me. I don't have love. I never had
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: love until like this week. So you can't. You cannot
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: let them in even if they you can't keep him
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: out if they lose, because again, you can do that USC.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: You can't do a TCU because they haven't lost freaking
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: game in a Power five conference. You can't punish them
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: for being undefeated and going into a Converse Championship game.
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: I don't care what you say. They're undefeated in the
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: Power five. If we're gonna hold that as a standard,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: it's got to be unless it's Clemson and they care.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: Don't care what you say, man, that's that's really what. Yeah.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: So I'm gonna call this the color blind game. If
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: you're color blind, it's tough because those colors are the
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: same to me. But I'm looking forward to watching those
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: two teams play and TCU to win. And don't forget
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: TCU money line. Put all your Christmas money on it
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: because once you win, you can double your Christmas money
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: presents for everybody. Times to smile and specifically they like,
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: do not do Christmas presidents? Bleep that out, bleep that
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: part out. But this leave an he's saying about Christmas presents. Lunchbox. Listen.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: There's a lot of sports going on this weekend, but
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: there's only one game that matters, and it's at nine
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: am Central tomorrow morning, when USA takes on the Netherlands.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: It's soccer all the time, USA, USA holistic, get that
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: pelvic right, get out there and play. Please come on USA.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: And this is how you know he does this a lot.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: We're taping this on Thursday afternoon and he's like tomorrow
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: and even I was confused. It was like Friday. No,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: he's good. But that's a pro. And you wanna hear
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: other pronus sore losers. Yeah, that's proness completely. That's it.
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Jordan Davis, Thank you, buddy, thank you all for having me.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: See you next week official, love it dude, Official, Jordan Davis, Ada,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Mike d Next next not this weekend, Next weekend, we
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: go to Dallas, talk to Jay Jones. Until then we
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: will see you guys and now blow us and we'll
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: get out of here. You all right there, you see
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: you guys.
