- 2:21[SPEAKER_20]: It's an outdoor era.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_19]: Well, you're only about one thing.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_19]: I don't think it's an era.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_20]: Well, I think we're in a greeted disagree era.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_19]: Yeah, sure, you're probably right.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_19]: Anyway, with the money you could save by switching to progressive, you can afford to switch to other things in life.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_19]: It's my savings era.

- 4:33[SPEAKER_09]: But not a bad day temperatures are up although they're going to be going down tonight as well have a cooler weekend not a bad weekend just cooler so a hint of I don't know if we're going to have any uh can I say it on here can I say it is a time of year to say it the white stuff I don't know if we'll have any or not maybe up in the uh out in the hinterlands there yeah so
- 4:57[SPEAKER_09]: We hope not, but if it happens, they'll be ready out in the town of Pinkney to plow it.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_09]: 755-1240 is the phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_09]: Lots of things going.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_09]: I just saw on Channel 7's news, they had an interview with a fellow named Dan Powell.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_09]: Mr. Powell is apparently the new owner of 661 factory street.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_09]: The infamous property there, there was a murder, a large murder there, the summer.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_09]: There was a...
- 5:26[SPEAKER_09]: the places of dump.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_09]: A lot of bad things have gone on there over the years.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_09]: And it's been in the news a lot of use.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_09]: He says he's going to do something where he says he's got other buildings in the neighborhood where he's straightened about.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_09]: He's going to tell the tenants, you know, either live by my rules or get the hack out.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_09]: Get the hack out.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_09]: So we wish Mr. Powell well and thank him for doing that and it keeps it on the tax rules and we'll
- 5:56[SPEAKER_09]: uh... wrong wasn't built in the day but uh... you know i noticed uh... another good thing well it's good because it's close to me that half way house across from me in the white house i don't think it's a half way house anymore i think the owner of the building and rented it to one of these not for profits for decades and they just put string of people in there some of which were their bags couplum were okay and uh...
- 6:23[SPEAKER_09]: It's been remodeled, new appliances, new everything in there, and I noticed some normal looking people moving in the other day.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_09]: So we welcome that, certainly.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_09]: Nobody wants to live.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_09]: Thanks to that kind of stuff.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_09]: We got some great neighbors over on Pearl Street.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_09]: I know you like to make fun of it because you live up on Lower State Street or something, really.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_09]: It's okay.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_09]: put it.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_14]: Oh, nobody there.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_09]: Other things going on up north for our friends listening on 92-7.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_09]: I see they got some renovations for downtown Potstam and Anton have been completed.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_09]: 10 billion dollar programs where they hand out money and how good for them.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_09]: I hope it looks good.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_09]: And not sure what they did, but they did something.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_09]: All right.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, up in Montreal, I'm over here.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_09]: A couple of cops have been suspended because they pissed on a homeless guy.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_13]: Well, you know, you can understand the sentiment.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_09]: Of course, the news media doesn't call people homeless.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_09]: They call them the unhoused.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_08]: Unhoused.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, boy.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I heard this here's a story for you.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_09]: before we get to the Gulf Club.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_09]: You know, we talk about properties and we have things like a friend of mine, or someone I know really well.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_09]: But a piece of property of four planks on a street water jump.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_09]: Next to that four planks was a vacant lotter owned by the city, and she wanted to buy it.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_09]: offer the city five grand the city came back and said oh no we got to have fifty nine hundred that's the value we put on it so she said okay I'll give it fifty nine hundred then they never got back to her yeah now fifty nine hundred dollars is not a lot of money it's a half a Christmas parade but you know these people crying poverty and it would be on the tax rolls at least I just wonder sometimes you know
- 8:53[SPEAKER_09]: But I call the North Country retail experience.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody wants to buy something, a lot of them buy it.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_09]: You know, and it just doesn't always seem to happen.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_09]: Now, maybe I'm wrong.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe there's a good reason for this.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_09]: But it does seem a little odd to me.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_14]: Now, what else is there to look at today?
- 9:23[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I think the city got in their council packets, I don't think it's on news chunky yet, the agenda, but I think the packets have the offer on the Gulf course.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_09]: These don'ts offer as well as a couple resolutions, whether one I think to accept that and the other would be whether to accept the offer or apply for home rule legislation.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_09]: Um, I don't think getting home a real legislation is like ordering a pizza from hearts.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_09]: It's there in 20 minutes.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_09]: Now I don't think that's how it works.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_09]: So I don't know.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what's going to happen with that.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_09]: We got to see what this is all about.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_09]: And the community needs to weigh in here.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_09]: We're starting to accounts.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_09]: I've talked to a couple of council members about it.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_09]: One said, I said, you really think that the people at City Hall are capable of
- 10:16[SPEAKER_09]: assessing this offer and he said, no, but neither are we.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_06]: Well, that's encouraging.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_09]: So, what's going to happen?
- 10:25[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_09]: They're desperate to get rid of it.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_09]: They think they'll get rid of it this way, but I'm not sure you get rid of it.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_09]: By doing this.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_09]: Some one year agreement, you know, just not trying to be obstreporous.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_09]: I'm just trying to say it doesn't sound to me like it's a very doable plan.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_09]: And now we got all this other stuff going on with the other golf course in town.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_09]: The owner of the 9-hole Ives wants to rezone part of it.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_09]: And then the owner of the back 9 that's been decommissioned wants to change his zoning so he can put housing in.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_09]: Council will never approve anything for that man.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_09]: They don't like them.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_09]: Period.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_09]: So that's just not going to happen.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_09]: So I don't know, they got a, looks like golf courses are going to be in the news for quite some time to come.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_14]: Yep, haven't heard the last of it.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, what are we going on elsewhere around the area?
- 11:30[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I don't know.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what to make of it all.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_14]: Now obviously, I've, uh, oh, that,
- 11:38[SPEAKER_09]: another shooting tragedy in a school out in Bend, Oregon, three little kids dad that teacher, another couple of people wounded badly.
- 11:48[SPEAKER_09]: And a, I don't know, somebody else, a bypass or somebody else who had a gun, apparently chased down the killer and stopped them before they could kill even more.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_09]: Now the cops were there in three minutes, they did their job, you know.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_09]: But, um,
- 12:05[SPEAKER_09]: Who knows to the guy who shot this 16-year-old punk?
- 12:11[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_09]: Then I'm sorry he's dead too.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_09]: I mean he's got parents and loved ones and all that kind of kind.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_09]: What is wrong with these people?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_09]: And you say, well, would we do about it?
- 12:23[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I don't know what you're going to do about it.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_09]: There's been like 53 of these incidents and schools are varying size this year.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_09]: Let's see.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_09]: I got a text.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, there'll be a neighborhood watch citywide meeting October 20th.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_09]: Church isn't as a reading.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_09]: That's on Thompson Boulevard at 6 p.m. Now, the 20th.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, October 20th.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I wonder.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_09]: Well, today's the.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_09]: 16th, so 23rd is next Friday.
- 13:08[SPEAKER_09]: It would be Tuesday.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_09]: So, um, neighborhood watch, that's bad.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_09]: Hickie putting out that notice.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_09]: Um, somebody writes long time no see, guess who I am?
- 13:29[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I don't know who that is.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_09]: though I shouldn't have done that 755 1240 is a phone number if you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows today what's down here talk about whatever you want um... i don't know what to uh... there's a new agenda being commercial out that i thought was very effective has this old man from st. Lawrence County a neighbor something saying i'm
- 14:08[SPEAKER_09]: one of us, they were running a one of us there, and I think that could be a factor.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_09]: I really don't know who's going to win that.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_09]: There was an interesting story in the New York Post that Mr. Genda Bean was on a radio station down in the Utica area and a talk of the challenge show.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_09]: and he uh... kind of refused to uh... say he backs catehocal in fact he said he said i'll work with whoever's uh... interested in working with me it would not it publicly endorsing and i guess that's that's my health popular is catehocal up here didn't even watch the debate the other night i don't think it got covered on local television but it was quite interesting i thought
- 15:00[SPEAKER_09]: 755, well 40, the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call to be on here, now a week from Saturday early voting starts up, but actually if you want to go vote and cast an absentee at the Board of Elections, you can do that now, yeah, we can do it now.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_09]: So we've got, as of yesterday, over 6 million people had voted nationwide.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_09]: and more and more people will provide a election day.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know what's going to happen on November 3rd.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_09]: And it could be a blue wave, a blue ripple, sort of nothing.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_06]: I don't see it moving more red in this climate, but it's after waiting to see what happens.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you'd have to know in there.
- 15:53[SPEAKER_03]: I'll be real quick and happy Friday.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: I just in case Samantha wants to call and looks for a ride or something again.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: But what do you think about the homeless guys?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_03]: They're shooting rocks through the windows in the farm and moreiable.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: What is it?
- 16:09[SPEAKER_03]: The guy probably don't have many money.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_03]: They got to do some about these guys.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_03]: Just smash them.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_03]: How do you like them to throw a rock through your window?
- 16:18[SPEAKER_03]: You know, I'd say don't worry about it.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'll cover my insurance.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_03]: I'll pay for the damages.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: Now, let all these guys in here come out and we're going to all going to throw a rock to you.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_09]: Hmm.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think that would be, I mean, that's what they do in some other countries.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, obviously, um, well, we're supposed to come.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_03]: made of mandalas and breaking the past here and now they're throwing rocks for the windows and everything else.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_09]: Beautiful building, no excuse for doing that.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_09]: God help us if they get inside and do something to a statue area or something like that.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_03]: And then wonderful paintings or who knows.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't know about that.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: I hope they do something to the guy.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_09]: Well, trust me, they won't.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_09]: Well, I don't think they said that the charge is for something over $250.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_09]: I think a window like that, I assume that's a pretty thick glass.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_09]: I suspect that the fix on that is more than that and no, that person won't pay for it.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_09]: They won't do anything to them and the city will just have to pay it unless they hold another fundraising deal.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, I don't know, but they got to stop these guys.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how much you can't put somebody in jail for each day, but they got to do some of these guys.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_03]: We saw them all over the roads and the roads with their shopping carts and whatever else.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_03]: And they're trespassing and can't met and everything else.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_09]: All right, thanks, by now.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_09]: I guess said nothing's gonna have these in court October 30th nothing can happen.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_09]: It's that simple Not sure what you could do Even if you wanted to here's a story.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, you ever wonder about your Well, they always told you in high school you had a permanent record I don't think there really was one And I doubt it's still there if it was but
- 18:29[SPEAKER_09]: You know, employers generally have a, like, a file on everybody, when you hire, I mean, a portrait of W, you know, you tax forms in there that they signed and all of that.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_09]: That's probably a lot of it's done electronically now.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_09]: Or other, you know, into us appraisals of the persons.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_09]: The job they didn't know that.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_09]: Well, now according to the media, I guess you can, you have a right to demand to see that.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_09]: I remember about three, four years ago, I had somebody who just helped themselves to the files, found out where they were and rummaged through them and took what they wanted.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know if that's what this new state law says, but yeah, what is in those files, is there anything?
- 19:19[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe maybe not if there was a notation of discipline.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, there we see, you gotta get a paper trail for things.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_09]: Well, that doesn't always matter because you can have ample reason to let somebody go or no reason at all.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_09]: You don't really have to have a reason and it doesn't matter.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_09]: It'll be called discrimination in this state.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_09]: All you have to do is say it is and you get one of these human rights specialists, too, and the issue of finding some probable cause on a dime and what you have in that file doesn't really matter.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_09]: They don't even want to look at it.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_09]: You know, they're not interested.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_09]: So, I guess you might as well, I don't know if I want to look through it, but I guess that's one more thing employees can do.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_09]: Go demand that.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I want to see it, not if there's something in there where you were disciplined and then they can.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_09]: And I guess you don't even have to ask to go look at it,
- 20:25[SPEAKER_09]: 755-1240 the phone number, if you'd like to give us a call to be on the air, be back with more at a moment.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_06]: He, everybody, Jason Woodworth here from FX Comparer, Honda.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_06]: Let me ask you something.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_06]: Wanna save some bread?
- 20:37[SPEAKER_06]: Well, here's a good place to start.

- 21:03[SPEAKER_06]: And hey, don't forget about our selection of fuel-efficient pre-owned cars, trucks, and SUVs.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_06]: Think about it, if those trips the gas station are killing me, you can crackly be spending an extra carpet every month just on gas.

- 21:44[SPEAKER_07]: illegal immigrants and bailed one out of ice custody with $10,000 in cash.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_07]: He's Kathy Hockel's hand-picked candidate, and he's under investigation by the Federal Election Commission for illegally paying a Ukrainian foreign national $8,000 to work on his campaign.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_07]: 80% of his money comes from outside the district, a criminal investigation, a federal investigation.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_07]: illegal immigrants, gender-been, can't defend any of it.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_07]: That's why he won't debate.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_07]: Anthony Constantino was ready for a debate.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_07]: He's built the business here and created a thousand upstate jobs.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_07]: He's paying for his own campaign and he pledged his congressional salary to a wounded veteran.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_07]: Anthony Constantino.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_07]: Nobody's man, but you are.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_10]: I'm Anthony Constantino, candidate for Congress.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_10]: And I approve this month.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_07]: Paid for by Constantino for Congress.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_18]: We all have cans and bottles, so it makes sense to bring them to the Make Sense Redemption Center on Loray Street in Watertown.

- 23:30[SPEAKER_09]: riveting radio AM1240 the news in talk authority the news in talk authority indeed AM1240 I'm Jeff Graham on this show of shows on a Friday good to have you here anything else you want to talk about that's in the news I don't know is there anything in our community um well make a million strike pot is way up there
- 23:59[SPEAKER_09]: uh... let's see former students says someone had a webcam in her college dorm when it was ever charged well you shouldn't do that well that's it the royal military college in Kingston well yeah
- 24:29[SPEAKER_09]: She certainly has a right to reprives it.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_09]: Now, somebody had a camera in her room.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_09]: Well, yeah, that's kind of low.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_09]: Now, that's kind of low.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_09]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_09]: If you'd like to give us a call to be on the show of shows.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_09]: And talk about things.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_09]: I guess we're not going to stream that execution.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_09]: And here's the thing.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_09]: This is Katie Zacharia, the new press secretary.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_09]: Now, she was not prepared to go out there on that first day and where you've anybody.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_09]: I don't.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_09]: And then they started asking her about, is she really a lawyer?
- 25:21[SPEAKER_09]: She said she's a lawyer.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_09]: but she never passed the bar apparently she failed the California bar exam she went to Pepperdine University's law school now you know it's fair to say I went to law school and you know I have a pretty good knowledge of such things but can you say you're a lawyer is it like a PA saying you're a doctor you know and then then they started parsing words saying well you can say you're a lawyer if you've gone to law school
- 25:53[SPEAKER_09]: But you can't say you're in attorney unless you've passed the bar.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_09]: Now, I thought the two words were interchangeable.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_09]: Are there any attorneys out there who want to pipe chime in here?
- 26:05[SPEAKER_09]: Apparently, some feel they're not.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_09]: So, they always say city attorney or county attorney or whatever district attorney.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_09]: So we usually use the word attorney.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_09]: So the word lawyer, right?
- 26:24[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe it's being misused in society.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_09]: Apparently she was on Hannity last night.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_09]: That's the other thing with these people.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_09]: They retreat to these safe enclaves like Hannity.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_09]: You know, get out there and speak.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_09]: I think she's going to have a tough time of it, but you know, whatever.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_09]: Whatever.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_09]: There to me there's an expectation if you're a press secretary that you can speak, but others, you know, I've heard people say, well, give her a chance, show her some grace they say.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_09]: And I thought when you were hired for a job like that, you were ready to go just about immediately.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_09]: Maybe not, but she's an, she's a lawyer, not an attorney.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_09]: So, can any of us just call ourselves a lawyer?
- 27:23[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I've been around legal proceedings.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_09]: Certainly been involved in an municipal government.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_09]: Certainly have a pretty good knowledge of a lot of legal things.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_09]: Never pass the bar, but can I just say I'm a lawyer?
- 27:41[SPEAKER_09]: For of course, once in communications law,
- 27:46[SPEAKER_09]: right so i'm kind of thinking maybe i can say am a lawyer like uh... eighty-secondary of the right can't say i'm a attorney but i can say i'm a lawyer good afternoon around the air hello my grandma were you doing today good they're gone now well yeah the gun uh... the attorney lawyer thing that goes
- 28:13[SPEAKER_14]: It's one of the little snippets of useful information that I know, and that goes back to 1066 in the Norman Conquest.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_14]: See, attorney is from the French side of the language, and lawyer is from the Anglo-Saxor, the English side.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_14]: So that's where that split up.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_14]: It had nothing really to do with what they knew or what they did know.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_14]: But poultry is a French derivative, so it really had, you know, it goes back a thousand.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_09]: But isn't poultry doesn't that include, like, other kinds of birds?
- 28:56[SPEAKER_14]: Um, yeah, there's a, yeah, you're right about that, you're right about that.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_14]: But the derivative of the word is French versus the chicken.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_09]: Well, if you look at Spanish, uh, hold your opiollo always chicken.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, so there you go, but you know, I know a lot, a lot of people think I'm stupid, but I'm not No, I don't, I have, well, the people who know you don't think that this, you know, I mean, you know, you might be out of your mind But what's your not stupid?
- 29:30[SPEAKER_14]: Well, I have about a time, yes Well, we've all been out of our mind at times I submit as a good Republican as people say, I'm not not a Republican servant
- 29:42[SPEAKER_14]: that you should give the lady there a little more time she's been on the job what she had to press conferences or something then you know she come on jazz show a little balance you're really going off the left side of the dark sometimes okay well no listen I still give her more of a chance she's kind of good looking good looking but she's really good looking girl yeah I don't know I just know that
- 30:12[SPEAKER_14]: My God, it's only been a few hours and they've already started attacking us.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_14]: We don't like Trump, we know everything that is Trump's fault, we've run to stand that.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_14]: But give the girl a week or two, in my opinion.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_09]: Okay, I will.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_14]: televised you're not televised I didn't realize the guy was in a wheelchair that ha's on whatever he was shot he's paralyzed my chest down yeah well I go back to the original guy who shot him one you couldn't just put another round in the guy's head save us a billion dollars but I mean if this is where you're going with it but I don't know I'm not a death penalty person and you
- 31:11[SPEAKER_14]: who say things like, you know, who's going to pay for all that time in prison?
- 31:16[SPEAKER_14]: Serve.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_14]: It costs a whole lot more to run somebody through a capital punishment situation than it does to keep them in prison.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_09]: No.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_09]: I agree with it there.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_14]: So you're here.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_14]: If that argument is not, it's just, it has no, it's just not powerful.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_09]: So somebody checks it and they want me to ask you, did you like the union you were in?
- 31:45[SPEAKER_14]: Uh, you know, we were okay in times, you know, they did some good things, but overall, I don't know what it did or not.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, you know, there's a lot of unions I've had a lot of experience with teacher unions.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_14]: I've had experience with the correction officer union a little bit.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_14]: uh... i was path public employees better region uh... which was kind of different but uh... we were with the teachers the prison teachers and councillors and that kind of thing right i don't know as it said now there's a no-king's rally on public square tomorrow uh... no-king's yeah oh well i don't think you're themselves i don't understand it i mean i don't know what you're talking
- 32:35[SPEAKER_14]: If you had a Biden who acted more like a king than anybody we've ever known.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, that just didn't ring a bell with the people.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_14]: You know, I can't figure out whether to call them stupid or uninformed.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_14]: But some of them were just, they just love to hate Trump.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_14]: And some of them are, you know, party line Democrats, which is, that's their job.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_14]: They have to hate everything.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_14]: They have to tell stories.
- 33:04[SPEAKER_14]: But you know, I don't know.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_14]: But people, people of mass look what's happened in our lifetime.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_14]: It used to be we had problems and we were small.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_14]: We handled our problems and then we wanted things fixed.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_14]: And we wanted the government to fix it.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_14]: We wanted to pick up our trash.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_14]: We wanted to do everything they do.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_14]: And then we just voted a whole bunch of government.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_14]: And I look at it like the Democrats are going to give us they're going to open up the border.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_14]: put a bunch of impeachment things in, and hire some more folks, if you really think that's what we should do folks of it, is that really the argument you make it?
- 33:45[SPEAKER_14]: Now the other side, you got a bunch of fat, as far as I'm concerned, you know, they like big government as much as anybody else, but they probably won't open the border.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_09]: Letterman, you know, I think Trump did a good job closing the border when he took office.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_09]: Because it was crazy what was going on, you want to see him walking across at Eagle Pass on television and then that my workers would say nothing's going on.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_09]: You know, who do I believe him or my eyes?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_09]: But then all of this stuff about trying to round these people up, I don't think this.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think the juice is worth the squeeze in many cases.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah, I understand your point.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_14]: I mean, what did we expect when you put 20 billion people in this country, you knew this was coming?
- 34:36[SPEAKER_14]: There would be a force, we'll call it Trump, on a force, to say, kick them all out.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_14]: And then there's a force on the other side, says, let more in, we're loving it.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_14]: You know, I don't know.
- 34:52[SPEAKER_14]: It's not going to affect us.
- 34:55[SPEAKER_14]: You know, we're not at the end of our lives, but
- 34:59[SPEAKER_14]: We're the point where it's not going to affect us, but it's getting to a point where you let it another 10 or 20 million.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I don't know, I mean, you know, you look at where we are, I mean, if you start kicking these people out of who's on a Saturday afternoon, who's going to be there at the intersections on in that's our county, so the rich people from Suffolk can pick them up and take them out to their mansions to break leaves.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_14]: There's abuse going on both sides.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_14]: That's for sure.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_14]: You know, I don't point at one side of the other.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_14]: We just got, we can't do it.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_14]: A million a month or whatever Biden was doing.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_14]: I don't know what is all I remember is the parade.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_14]: The caravans of, you know, people.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 35:50[SPEAKER_14]: You know, what skills do you have?
- 35:59[SPEAKER_09]: And what about the two Montreal police officers who've gotten trouble for pissing on a homeless person?
- 36:06[SPEAKER_14]: Well, police are held to a really high standard all over my place.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_14]: And I understand their frustration, but they did the right thing.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_14]: They had to come down on them and they will.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_14]: To me, that's just talking about a situation that doesn't happen.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_14]: It did happen, it happened once, but a billion times a day, our police are on top of things.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_14]: They're doing things professionally.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_14]: They're much more professional than the politicians who control them.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_14]: You know, than the system that they work in.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_14]: It's a police officer or any kind of a law enforcement officer.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_14]: Your problem is not your local guy.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_14]: It's all beneath.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_14]: And you know, yeah, I think I think our cops do a great job, you know, in there and well, I said yesterday any any police officer or any Lawyer slash attorney who votes for Test James is out of their mind, but they'll do it because they're union tells them to Well, I would say that there's an awful lot that control or they're an independent folks even though they work as a team
- 37:26[SPEAKER_14]: I don't think that anybody who's honest realizes what Tish James is.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_14]: And I don't care if you're, you know, who you are.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_14]: If you're really just found her, then you have lost all credit bills.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_14]: She's a fug.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_14]: And she's not even that.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_14]: But, you know, but, you know,
- 37:49[SPEAKER_14]: And the thing is, are the other ladies that the NBA and the ladies there?
- 37:54[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_14]: Who's running against her?
- 37:56[SPEAKER_14]: She's really good.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_14]: And, you know, if you're honest, which some of our Democratic friends don't seem to be able to do, you know, you're going to say that this is a good time to make a change.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_09]: But they're not going to.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_09]: This is a good time.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_09]: They're not going.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, listen, I got a run.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_09]: I got people crawling.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_09]: I got everything going on.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_14]: I'm glad it's going.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_14]: You have a good weekend sir.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_09]: Thank you, I know.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_09]: But after noon around here.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_09]: Hello.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_14]: Nobody there.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_09]: Hey, you know, I was talking about, I don't need any tires or anything.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_09]: But who's this tire lady in governor?
- 38:40[SPEAKER_09]: I got to get McDougle to fill me in on that.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_09]: I've heard a lot of people raving about it.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_09]: People have bought tires there and all of that.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_09]: So we don't know who the tire lady is, but maybe Mayor McDougall could fill a sin on that.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_09]: Okay?
- 39:00[SPEAKER_09]: But after noon you're on the air.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_05]: Hello, I'm calling to tell you or to ask you to tell people that they need to vote in their vote count.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_05]: I've talked to many people who think
- 39:19[SPEAKER_05]: they think it's electoral which it's still counts in electoral but in a different way and people think why don't need to vote because my vote doesn't matter and I want and I tell people all the time more votes matters it counts well it matters and it doesn't take that much time to vote either it doesn't now here's the deal here's what you got to do the I mean it's nice to say that on the radio and I'll be saying it between now
- 39:48[SPEAKER_09]: a partner, maybe kids, maybe neighbors, co-workers, make it a point to make it a personal mission to make sure ten people vote who wouldn't have voted otherwise, and you'll have done more for democracy than any of these blow-hards.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_05]: Well, I would like to think that that's true, and I'm certainly trying to do my part.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_05]: It just is so important, especially, we're at, well, not especially.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_05]: We are at a crossroads.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_05]: It's important to note that, but it's always important to vote.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_09]: Well, thank you for saying that.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_09]: I agree with you, and I hope everybody does.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_05]: Thank you.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_05]: I wish I will so too.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_05]: Have a good evening.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_09]: Hi, by now.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_06]: Fortunately, they will.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_09]: Only about a third of the people 18 and older will vote in Jefferson County this year.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_09]: That is sad.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_09]: That is sad.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_09]: If even that high.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_09]: What do we got it commercial we'll do now we'll take this problem.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_11]: But after dinner on the air Yes There's this Controversia I guess about Where's a new press secretary is a lawyer now?
- 41:03[SPEAKER_14]: ah?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_11]: There's a there's a distinction the lawyer and attorney or Common use terms with there are legal definitions That goes by state
- 41:17[SPEAKER_11]: State of Washington, for instance, is the clearest one that I could find.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_11]: The lawyer is someone who has obtained illegal education as evidenced by obtaining a jurisdiction.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_11]: However, a lawyer is not required to have a license to practice law on the State of Washington.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_11]: The lawyer has performed research and provides support to clients as advisors.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_11]: The attorney at law, a lawyer who has passed the bar exam in Washington State, is recognized
- 41:47[SPEAKER_11]: has a legal authority to provide legal services to clients.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_11]: Can represent clients in court of law and his bounds who are here to the code of conduct established by the Washington State Bar Association.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_11]: So basic, okay, there's a legal differentiation, which I think she probably qualifies as a lawyer.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_11]: The common thing may be not.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_11]: But the whole deal is what difference is it made?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_09]: Well, that's true, but it is common usage when you say, you know, yes, you have a right to an attorney.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_09]: You can say, do you want to get a lawyer?
- 42:32[SPEAKER_09]: I want my lawyer to say when you get arrested.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you mean an attorney, right?
- 42:38[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_09]: Because you want to be represented.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, I don't have a law degree,
- 42:46[SPEAKER_09]: You know, people ask me for advice all the time on certain things, you know, I tell them what I know and say, you know, when I was married, I'd get all these people called not a lot, but people calling for their problems with their kids and I said, listen, you've got to get an attorney to advise you on that.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_09]: I can't.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_11]: And, um, but you've got probably thousands of people working in law firm.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_11]: who have graduated from law school waiting to or have taken the bar and failed it.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_11]: But they're working doing research, they're assisting me attorneys.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_11]: And, typically in common usage there, they're going to be called lawyers.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_11]: Because they aren't legally, they are lawyers.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_09]: Huh.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I look back at it.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_09]: events of the last couple of years, I wonder if that guy was a lawyer or not, or an attorney.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_09]: So anyway, I don't know.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_11]: Um, if you think about it, um, what is a medical doctor?
- 43:53[SPEAKER_11]: A PA. No, a medical doctor, an MD, an MD somebody that's graduated from law school or from medical school.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_11]: They get to call themselves MD.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_15]: Hmm.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_11]: But until they pass the state exam and generally do some additional work as residents or whatever, it can't touch anybody.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_09]: Right.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_11]: So, yeah.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_11]: I think you're looking at every very same thing here.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_11]: But like I say, what difference does it make in this in the context of the lady who's going to be the, or he has the press set?
- 44:37[SPEAKER_11]: in Michigan.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_11]: This is running for the Senate.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_11]: I mean, people are saying he's not a doctor.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_11]: Well, if he graduated from law school, he's a doctor.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_11]: He just can't do anything.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_09]: Hmm.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'm not sure I'd want him to.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_09]: So yeah, no, you raise an interesting point.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_09]: It's just that all she had to say was
- 45:06[SPEAKER_09]: I did legal work after graduating from Pepperdine University Law School.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_09]: I wasn't able to pass the bar in California, but this firm, my husband had employed me to do work in their trade officers.
- 45:22[SPEAKER_09]: You could say that, but she kind of said she's a lawyer and the public thinks you're a attorney.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_11]: Well, I haven't heard all she's had to say by any strategy imagination.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, but I think what you for my viewpoint basically it's just one of those things that it depends on on who's team you're on.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_09]: Right, right.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, if that were like Adam Schiff saying something like that, the Democrats were, you know, he was, whether he's an attorney or not, I don't know.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_09]: But yeah, okay, well listen, I got a run, okay?
- 46:02[SPEAKER_09]: All right, thanks, bye now.

- 47:24[SPEAKER_17]: Sounds like we have something in common.

- 49:13[SPEAKER_00]: Ken, I'm proud to have your endorsement, and even prouder of the trust you placed in me.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_00]: The North Country is my home.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_00]: It brings my family here, and I'm invested in our future.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_00]: I know the district, I know the job, and I'm ready on day one.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Tammy Navarwanik, and I approve this message.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_09]: Hopefully this afternoon or something new struck you'll have that council agenda apparently they've got a resolution in there is what I'm told on the proposal to take over the park and then they've also got a resolution on seeking or asking for whatever home real legislation
- 50:09[SPEAKER_09]: So, I don't really know.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_09]: But what do you say?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_09]: What do you say?
- 50:20[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, you want to, you want to, where are they going to rent it out?
- 50:24[SPEAKER_09]: Is that the deal?
- 50:26[SPEAKER_09]: Usually, when you're renting it out, we rent it out at some fair market value.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_09]: But,
- 50:40[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I got to know here from Ron McDougall, the mayor of governor, one of our faithful listeners on W2TK.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_09]: He says the governor, tire lady, is a nice lady.
- 50:53[SPEAKER_09]: Says it's on Route 11.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_09]: Interesting, I don't know, I don't know too much about it.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_09]: The tires go up 50,000 miles, but once you keep the car a while, it drive a fair amount of really drive much.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_09]: You know, I've had this thing for, let's see, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_09]: Almost 19 months and only have 4,500 miles on it, I'm not really driving anything.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_09]: So I don't think I'll ever need to go see the tire lady or any other tire person.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_09]: Good afternoon, you're on the air.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_13]: I didn't have to do it.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know, but with the five o'clock show or your show, that was disgusting.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_13]: Can't of us, and what tests there are on roads for that.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_13]: I don't know if you're drinking, you've got to test, but what do they test for when you're smoking can of them?
- 52:01[SPEAKER_09]: No, I don't know.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_09]: They just, whatever, if it smells, you know, whatever.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_13]: test, like a blow with a breathalizer for a can of this yet.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_09]: I don't think so.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_09]: I think it would be more just observation and I don't know how many people get popped for that really.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_13]: Well, there was like 16,000 people that were pulled over in the air state three weeks that did mention cannabis, but I'm wondering how many of those were
- 52:38[SPEAKER_09]: The government would prefer you did cannabis, I think.
- 52:43[SPEAKER_13]: Back that's too bad.
- 52:44[SPEAKER_13]: I got a lot of people I know that switch from alcohol to smoking cannabis, because they feel they're not getting pulled over.
- 52:53[SPEAKER_09]: Really?
- 52:55[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_09]: Well, they're probably, they're probably right up to a point.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_09]: You know, you can't say that because there's smell, because, you know, a pot smoker, their car, always smells.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_13]: Can't see the doors.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_09]: So, we're the left generation of automobiles gets on the car lots.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_09]: I remember it was always a, you know, you're showing somebody a car and you're open the door and, ooh, even though they cleaned it and everything.
- 53:26[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_09]: You can't get rid of that.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_09]: I assume the same is true of pot.
- 53:33[UNKNOWN]: Right.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_13]: smelly in the car, you know, it's okay, but there's still real tasks, other than looking at the ride, but a lot of people at small cannabis, a lot, and drive, and they feel that still real tasks, so they're not going to get... Well, a lot of people think it enhances your abilities at drive, I don't know.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_13]: That's exactly what I've been told as well.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_13]: Yeah.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_13]: Uh, I'm not trying to drink and drive, so I'm not one of those guys, I tried to behave myself, but I just still people that do.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_09]: Okay.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_09]: All righty.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_09]: Well, thank you.
- 54:22[SPEAKER_09]: All right, right now.
- 54:25[UNKNOWN]: Yeah, good day.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody texted you, you still drive that outie.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_09]: I've never driven an outie.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_09]: But I did drive a Volvo.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_09]: In fact, I was talking about those people that are moving in across the street from me.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_09]: I see they drive a Volvo and it looks pretty good shape or pretty recent.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_14]: So that's what my first tip office, they weren't dirt bags.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_14]: Yeah.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_09]: Well, somebody texted in the last time I bought tires for Sam Scub and Frank Petista was working there.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_09]: That's good.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, around town here.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_09]: Well, you know, I was always, if I needed tires, go to Chinese or something.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_09]: That's something else now, I don't know what it is.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_09]: So who knows where to get tires, but I just I doubt all of her by a pair of tires again.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_09]: I used to get them back when I had my first car, I get them at Madeleine's mobile over on with a garage restaurant is now, but that was a long time ago.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_09]: The long time ago.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_09]: let's see that's back when you had to know the like a 78 tire that was a ratio that was certain where it had 60s and oh now i don't even know i don't even know what those numbers mean on them yeah so anyway let's uh we got a break to do we'll do a break and be back with more in a moment
