  Speaker 1: Welcome back.
• 0:15
Speaker 1: It is just another football.
• 0:20
  Speaker 1: It's on a Tuesday, but I haven't.
• 0:29
Speaker 1: It feels like a Monday.
• 0:30
Speaker 1: All right, how's it going?
• 0:33
Speaker 1: I got Justin with us.
• 0:34
Speaker 1: He wants to join us after Miami's season ended this past weekend.
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Maybe we got Jimmy Reno with us.
• 0:45
Speaker 2: Hey, Florida State season is definitely over.
• 0:48
  Speaker 2: Thank you, John.
• 0:50
Speaker 1: The worst season of my life.
• 0:52
Speaker 1: We got NFL to talk about Lots, to talk about Playoff scenarios, but let's start right there.
• 1:01
Speaker 1: Since we got Justin on Big game for the Hurricanes in Syracuse, I'll give it to you, man.
• 1:10
Speaker 1: I knew it would be tough.
• 1:12
  Speaker 3: Mario Cristobal, dude.
• 1:13
Speaker 3: If I didn't know it was coming, it would be a lot harder.
• 1:18
Speaker 3: But when we looked at the schedule at the beginning of the year and I looked at the schedule I said this is an undefeated season based on the schedule.
• 1:27
Speaker 3: Then I followed it up by saying Mario Cristobal will shit the bed in two games this year and we're going to go 10-2.
• 1:34
Speaker 3: And they're going to be two critical games and that's exactly what that fucking piece of shit did, right.
• 1:41
Speaker 1: I mean honestly two games that I think were tough opponents but they're not going to get the respect like you would if you were in a different conference.
• 1:53
  Speaker 2: Man.
• 1:53
Speaker 2: I tell you what though, If Georgia Tech beats Georgia in that game?
• 1:56
Speaker 2: Right, I mean, you see?
• 1:57
Speaker 1: how good Georgia Tech is.
• 1:58
Speaker 1: You saw, yeah, georgia Tech can just pull that out, but even in the loss, I mean, they can beat anybody regardless of the conference.
• 2:07
Speaker 1: They're still 7-5, man I know, I know, but I'm just saying like the conference bullshit is if they were in the SEC, you would get credit or something.
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: I'm just saying that loss.
• 2:21
Speaker 1: when you look at it like dude, that's not that I mean they lost to Georgia Tech in a close game at Georgia Tech, who probably should have beat fucking Georgia.
• 2:29
Speaker 3: You know like so, oh, they definitely should have beat Georgia, Right.
• 2:32
  Speaker 3: So I mean, it's not.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: I'm just trying to give the losses more weight, you know, and not based on you know if you look at the, eyeball test At Syracuse.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: Like I'm saying, that night that was at Syracuse and they're eight, they're nine and three, nine and three and.
• 2:47
Speaker 3: Kyle McCord is the leading passer in the country Right.
• 2:51
Speaker 1: So I think when you look at it like that, the losses aren't necessarily the reasons.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: I mean, if you were to look at Miami's resume, maybe it's who have they beaten?
• 3:00
Speaker 1: So I think they beat Florida.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: They're not getting a lot of credit for that and it's really Florida State didn't do them any good by having the worst season.
• 3:09
Speaker 1: Even if they were average they would have been given at least some credit for winning that game.
• 3:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, and we didn't play Clemson in the regular season.
• 3:19
Speaker 3: We didn't play SMU in the regular season.
• 3:21
Speaker 3: We avoided all the top teams in the ACC.
• 3:25
Speaker 3: not on purpose, obviously, right right, it's just the way that the schedule yeah yeah, but what really is going to do them in is that it's two of the last three games.
• 3:37
Speaker 3: It is an epic historical choke job almost as bad as not taking a knee last year.
• 3:42
  Speaker 3: Wow, yeah.
• 3:49
Speaker 3: And who's in the acc championship game?
• 3:50
Speaker 3: But the guy that I wanted as head coach at miami lashley three years ago, ret lashley, 11 and one and in the acc championship game he's got it rolling and I don't think I think he's got I said he would.
• 4:01
Speaker 3: I said, as soon as they hired him, I said watch SMU in the next 25 years Sleeping Giant.
• 4:07
Speaker 1: in this day and era in the Dallas area, you can be the number one program at a school that's willing to.
• 4:14
  Speaker 2: Oh, they're loaded.
• 4:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, they have all kinds of kids and they're willing to spend to keep him in Dallas, right?
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: So I don't think he's going anywhere.
• 4:20
  Speaker 2: No, I don't either.
• 4:28
Speaker 1: I think he lost a chance there and um so, but hey, uh, so you don't think miami's got a shot to get in it.
• 4:32
Speaker 3: It depends what happens championship weekend honestly, um a bunch of crap can go down.
• 4:38
Speaker 1: I mean, you know how it goes based on I mean, you guys have a fun quarterback to watch and if it's based on who's fun to watch and what people want to see, I would definitely rather see Miami than.
• 4:52
Speaker 2: Ole Miss or South Carolina.
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: Or Alabama.
• 4:57
Speaker 2: Scratch Ole Miss and South Carolina off the list.
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: It's.
• 5:00
  Speaker 2: Miami and Alabama.
• 5:01
Speaker 2: It's Miami and Bama yeah.
• 5:02
  Speaker 3: Right.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: And here's a nice little stat for you.
• 5:07
Speaker 3: Here's a nice little stat for you.
• 5:08
Speaker 3: When it comes to a comparison with Miami and Alabama, alabama only played four bowl-eligible teams.
• 5:16
Speaker 3: This year, miami played six.
• 5:19
Speaker 3: Miami went four and two.
• 5:22
Speaker 3: Against those bowl-eligible teams, alabama went one-3.
• 5:26
Speaker 3: Miami is better than Alabama.
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: So you mean to hope that Alabama, I think in the SEC Championship you don't want Georgia winning, because then they're just going to be like well.
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: Alabama beat Georgia.
• 5:39
Speaker 1: So there it is.
• 5:40
Speaker 1: They're obviously getting it Right.
• 5:42
Speaker 2: but on the flip side, if you're operating under the assumption that Georgia's in no matter what win or loss and they've already pretty much told you that's going to happen, yeah.
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: Georgia's in.
• 5:52
  Speaker 2: Yeah, All right.
• 5:53
Speaker 2: So then it becomes like how many three-loss teams do they really want in the playoffs?
• 5:57
Speaker 1: Both teams in the SEC Championship are in Right and both teams in the Big Ten Championship.
• 6:02
Speaker 2: So if Georgia loses and you're like that's one three-loss SEC team, that's already in there.
• 6:08
Speaker 2: Do we really want to put Alabama in there and have two Right?
• 6:11
Speaker 2: Or do we look and say SMU, smokes Clemson, and there's a way that Miami still is alive, smu's going to smoke Clemson.
• 6:22
Speaker 3: They're going to smoke Clemson.
• 6:23
Speaker 3: They're going to hang 50 on them.
• 6:25
Speaker 3: Dude, SMU is the top five team in the country.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: I do, I do All right, I think that that's going to do Miami good, I think.
• 6:32
Speaker 2: Right, it comes down to the SEC title Clemson wins that game.
• 6:39
Speaker 1: I don't think Miami, oh no, clemson is automatically in and you're putting a two-off SMU in.
• 6:44
Speaker 1: Is the ACC getting two teams?
• 6:47
Speaker 3: in, I think, unless SMU gets embarrassed by Clemson, smu's in no matter what.
• 6:53
  Speaker 2: That's what I have said.
• 6:55
Speaker 2: I would hope they deserve to be and television markets man, yeah, and that's something they got going for them, and it all depends on who from the big, the big old sec, is going to get screwed at.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: SMU beat, though they really need.
• 7:10
Speaker 1: You know this will be a big test for them, and and if they go ahead and beat Clemson, then they'll, there'll be everything Right.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: Right, you say they are in which.
• 7:20
  Speaker 1: I think I don't know.
• 7:21
Speaker 1: If they're that, I think Miami might've been a better matchup for him than Clemson.
• 7:25
Speaker 1: Clemson does have a better running game.
• 7:28
  Speaker 1: I think they're more of a Clemson has a better defense too, so I don't.
• 7:32
Speaker 2: I don't think Clemson's offense is anywhere near.
• 7:34
Speaker 2: I would much rather be facing Clemson's offense and facing how about that?
• 7:38
Speaker 1: kid at South Carolina plays quarterback.
• 7:40
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 7:40
Speaker 1: I was watching the end of that game that Clemson played and they just went from like feeling terrible to just feeling like hey, we could win the national championship.
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: How about that?
• 7:49
  Speaker 3: for a Saturday.
• 7:50
Speaker 3: He's basically Jalen Milrow dude.
• 7:52
Speaker 3: He's a really good running back that occasionally makes it right.
• 7:55
Speaker 1: And I had to explain it.
• 7:56
Speaker 1: There was a woman at this place I work at and she's a Clemson fan.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: She was like I'm so angry.
• 8:02
Speaker 1: I was like how can you be angry?
• 8:03
Speaker 1: You're going to the ACC championship.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: You control your own destiny for the national championship.
• 8:10
Speaker 1: You couldn't ask for a better situation this year.
• 8:13
  Speaker 2: Well, that's a real rivalry.
• 8:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a real rivalry right there and we had a lot of those going on this past weekend.
• 8:20
Speaker 1: Florida State short end of the stick.
• 8:23
Speaker 1: The season is over.
• 8:26
Speaker 1: Two and ten, uh eight fumbles eight fumbles.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: All right, hey man, we only lost five of them yeah, I'm surprised that florida didn't score more, you know, but nothing surprisingly happened in that game.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: Uh, the end of the game, I guess, was a story, as was in michigan and arizona and north carolina where the losing team wins and flag plant yeah, it's kind of I mean you're not gonna.
• 8:56
Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get any argument here.
• 8:58
Speaker 1: Hating on the gators it's.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: You don't see that crap in the florida state.
• 9:01
Speaker 3: Miami game is all I'm saying yeah, we just get into fights and stomp on each other's logos.
• 9:06
Speaker 2: That's fine, just during the game.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, but there's something about the flag planting.
• 9:11
Speaker 1: There's just something different.
• 9:12
  Speaker 1: I love it.
• 9:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, I love the flag planting dude.
• 9:15
Speaker 3: I fell in love with it when Baker Mayfield did it to Ohio State in 2017.
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: That's right.
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: That's what started.
• 9:20
  Speaker 1: It's a little mimicky, though I think it's your copycat.
• 9:24
Speaker 3: Well, so is doing the heisman pose that's true, that's true I mean it does bring drama, it is a rivalry it is a rivalry.
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: I I don't like it um I would care, man.
• 9:35
Speaker 2: If I care anything about this team, doesn't bother me yeah, you know, do whatever man two and ten you don't want your flag.
• 9:43
Speaker 3: You don't want your rival's flag getting planted on your logo.
• 9:46
Speaker 3: Don't lose at home in a rivalry game.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: Don't fumble any times that's going to happen, though.
• 9:52
Speaker 1: Yeah well, you deal with it.
• 9:53
Speaker 1: I just think there's a way to win and there's a way to lose.
• 9:58
Speaker 1: I get it, but the coach, that's the first thing he said, so he apologized for it.
• 10:03
Speaker 1: I mean it takes away from the game itself, it takes away from the effort that your players put forth.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: I mean, when you look at it, that's the one thing I was on, they talked about it from the game.
• 10:13
Speaker 1: They didn't say anything about Florida, the season, the runnings, good.
• 10:17
Speaker 1: So in that regard, I think that's what you don't want.
• 10:22
Speaker 1: I know the coach, if he was quick to say he would, he apologized for it.
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: So I don't think.
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: I think it's different.
• 10:30
  Speaker 1: Now, assad Cemetery.
• 10:35
Speaker 1: Some people you know would be like, hey, you do cut grass and everything, but that's kind of gimmicky anyway.
• 10:39
Speaker 3: Well, I mean they're one gimmick.
• 10:41
Speaker 3: You can't be cool with one gimmick and not cool with the other.
• 10:42
Speaker 3: I mean they're one gimmick, you can't be cool with one gimmick.
• 10:44
Speaker 1: and not cool with the other?
• 10:44
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, you can, because it's across the board that you have.
• 10:48
Speaker 1: The flag planting was at four different places and there were four different incidents.
• 10:54
Speaker 2: It almost seems like there's going to be a fight.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: Nobody got in a fight at any time.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: I mean, like you're holding a gator head around, what's wrong with that?
• 11:02
  Speaker 1: Celebrate.
• 11:03
Speaker 1: I mean, do whatever you want.
• 11:07
Speaker 1: Go break a spear, go, like you know, do whatever you want.
• 11:09
Speaker 1: It's just like going up to the the logo.
• 11:10
Speaker 1: I mean in hockey, you know that's why they have goons.
• 11:12
Speaker 1: You know you don't disrespect the franchise, you don't disrespect the players in the game.
• 11:17
  Speaker 1: I don't know it.
• 11:18
Speaker 1: Just I mean I like the novella.
• 11:20
Speaker 1: At least he went out there and grabbed it now, as opposed to ryan Day just looking on the side.
• 11:25
Speaker 2: Just like sitting there.
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: It's like oh.
• 11:28
Speaker 2: I'm not going out there.
• 11:29
Speaker 2: I think Ryan Day is worried about catching a stray one from the stands man.
• 11:33
  Speaker 2: What happened?
• 11:35
  Speaker 2: What happened?
• 11:36
Speaker 3: Oh, you got beat again.
• 11:38
Speaker 2: Oh, can we take a second and just laugh at Ohio State?
• 11:44
Speaker 3: Like what did they spin Anybody who wants just laugh at ohio state?
• 11:45
Speaker 3: Like what do they spend you want, anybody wants, to laugh at ohio state?
• 11:47
Speaker 3: Man, you got your guy right here, my man, I mean how about?
• 11:51
Speaker 3: Over 20 million day.
• 11:53
Speaker 3: I got another reason to hate ohio state now, because if ryan day doesn't decide, doesn't decide to blame kyle mccord for losing to michigan.
• 12:03
Speaker 3: Kyle m McCord's not at Syracuse this year and Miami both races Syracuse and Michigan still beats Ohio State.
• 12:11
Speaker 3: So same result, except Miami got screwed again by Ohio State.
• 12:15
Speaker 1: Yeah, how are they better without McCord?
• 12:19
  Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not.
• 12:20
Speaker 2: They're the exact same team.
• 12:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, they're the exact same team.
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: I think that's the question.
• 12:25
  Speaker 2: What's funny is.
• 12:27
Speaker 1: And their replacement played awful.
• 12:29
Speaker 2: They brought in guys like Quinshawn Judkins and added to that and still only got 10 points against a very mediocre Michigan defense.
• 12:37
Speaker 2: I don't give a shit what anybody says.
• 12:39
Speaker 2: That's not last year's Michigan defense.
• 12:44
Speaker 3: I think calling michigan's defense mediocre is giving them more credit than they deserve yeah right and it's a bad michigan team man, a really bad michigan team well, you'll see the rankings come out.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: It would be interesting to see how they rank.
• 12:57
Speaker 1: Where they ranked four teams?
• 13:00
Speaker 1: Uh, between you know, south Carolina, ole Miss, alabama and Miami.
• 13:07
Speaker 3: The AP at least has Miami at 13 and Alabama at 12, which is exactly what we're talking about.
• 13:13
Speaker 3: Most likely, it's going to come down to those two teams and if you want to break it down on multiple levels, with those two teams, we know what's happening.
• 13:20
Speaker 3: Miami's offense is way more exciting.
• 13:23
  Speaker 3: Miami's got a Heisman candidate, miami's got a better resume.
• 13:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't have a better win yeah, but you're 4-2 against bowl teams.
• 13:34
  Speaker 3: They're 1-3 against bowl teams.
• 13:35
Speaker 2: You get lucky one Saturday, when.
• 13:37
Speaker 3: Georgia shifts the bed in the first half.
• 13:39
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 13:39
Speaker 2: It's why I think it's going to come down to who wins the SEC championship.
• 13:43
Speaker 2: If you can point to alabama but like, see they beat sec champion georgia, that's it.
• 13:49
Speaker 2: If you can't say that, then they got it.
• 13:51
Speaker 1: I think you're rooting for uh texas texas to get that win.
• 13:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I think you're right because they he's got a good point, because then georgia takes that three loss spot right for the end, no matter what?
• 14:03
Speaker 1: And they don't want to give two three-loss teams.
• 14:06
  Speaker 2: Hell.
• 14:06
Speaker 2: No, you can't sell that to the other big conference Big.
• 14:10
Speaker 2: Ten's going to look at you and try to slap the shit out of you.
• 14:12
Speaker 1: After a year that you kept a team out that was under I know it was 14 without the quarterback this team has the quarterback when it comes to eyeballs.
• 14:24
Speaker 3: I think Miami's one of the funnest watches.
• 14:25
  Speaker 3: How is it?
• 14:25
Speaker 3: One year later we're in the exact same position, with a Florida team out of the ACC and a mediocre Alabama team coming down to.
• 14:32
Speaker 3: Who's the last one?
• 14:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, it's the exact same situation, but with a 12-team playoff and 10-2 versus 9-3.
• 14:40
Speaker 2: Just for shits and giggles.
• 14:40
Speaker 2: They throw Texas and Georgia in there again Versus 11-1.
• 14:42
Speaker 2: It's the and two versus nine, and three just for shits and giggles, as opposed to 12 and 0 versus 11 and one.
• 14:45
Speaker 1: It's the same damn thing.
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: It's bullshit.
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: I think honestly, I know I, I mean I.
• 14:50
Speaker 1: I think what it is is like and the losses miami had, I don't think they're bad like they were close fucking games.
• 14:56
Speaker 2: That could have been one the teams are definitely good on the road georg.
• 15:01
Speaker 1: Georgia Tech is definitely better than their record.
• 15:03
Speaker 1: They play up to their competition.
• 15:05
Speaker 1: They've shown that for the past two years.
• 15:09
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you've got to look at the losses Syracuse could finish with a 10-win season this year.
• 15:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, like that's not a bad loss If you look at the losses Alabama had right.
• 15:17
Speaker 1: They got their ass kicked and then they lost to freaking Vanderbilt.
• 15:21
Speaker 1: So, standing out and consistency-wise, miami's played pretty much the same way.
• 15:26
Speaker 1: I mean they're scoring a shitload of points and they probably can't stop you, but they're scoring every game Like you know you're going to get a high-scoring game you know you're going to get a fun game.
• 15:36
Speaker 2: You have to outscore them.
• 15:37
Speaker 1: So Miami's shit, alabama, you don't know, you might get a crapper.
• 15:46
Speaker 1: And if you're trying to get the good watch, the pick is Miami.
• 15:50
  Speaker 1: There you go.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: See, I don't really care, I think it's going to be funny either way.
• 15:53
Speaker 2: I just know that since the beginning of time in SEC football, anybody that loses to Vanderbilt is openly mocked within the conference.
• 16:02
Speaker 2: I know that as they should be.
• 16:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like losing to Wake Forest.
• 16:06
Speaker 2: Right, that should be a disqualification, something like that.
• 16:10
Speaker 2: There should be something that they point to as like dude.
• 16:13
Speaker 2: We can't justify that, and you can.
• 16:15
Speaker 2: I don't give a shit if it was on the road or whatever.
• 16:18
Speaker 2: Like dude, and they got two of them.
• 16:19
  Speaker 2: So we'll see.
• 16:20
Speaker 3: They got two of them, so we'll see.
• 16:22
Speaker 3: And Vandy on the road, like give me a break, vandy on the road man.
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 16:26
Speaker 2: They had more Bama fans there than they did.
• 16:28
  Speaker 3: Vanderbilt.
• 16:29
Speaker 3: I mean, you know, yeah, and just compare let's compare the Vanderbilt atmosphere to the atmosphere up in Syracuse this weekend, which is a harder spot to play.
• 16:42
Speaker 3: That's an easy call, man.
• 16:42
Speaker 3: That Syracuse crowd was going freaking ballistic.
• 16:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, that dome is weird, but if you're saying if Clemson were to beat SMU, Miami's out.
• 16:53
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 16:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, because now you've got to find a way.
• 16:56
Speaker 2: I think you've still got to find a way If you're going to put two teams in.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: They're going to put SMU over Miami because they're not going to give.
• 17:03
Speaker 1: They won the ACC outright, you know, and they finished higher than them in the conference.
• 17:09
Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say that there's a shot that Alabama and Miami got to be rooting for SMU to just wax Clemson Right, because Alabama may be, oh for sure.
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: I think I would rather.
• 17:21
Speaker 1: I think South Carolina is playing better than Ole Miss and Alabama.
• 17:26
Speaker 1: And if you were going to go just strictly on, who's the hottest of those three SEC teams, shoot.
• 17:31
Speaker 1: I don't think anybody wants any piece of South Carolina but they got that head to head loss, yeah, they got that two point loss earlier in the season.
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: Alabama.
• 17:38
Speaker 1: That's going to be another big head to head did Alabama?
• 17:42
Speaker 1: I think they got a win over Ole Miss too.
• 17:45
Speaker 2: Alabama no, they didn't play this year.
• 17:48
Speaker 1: But they did beat South Carolina.
• 17:50
Speaker 2: Yeah, and Ole Miss is out.
• 17:52
  Speaker 2: Yeah, Ole.
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: Miss is out.
• 17:54
Speaker 1: You can't lose to Florida.
• 17:57
Speaker 2: That's why Lane is whining as much as he is.
• 17:59
Speaker 1: I think Alabama should be out of the way.
• 18:01
Speaker 1: They lost to oklahoma on the road.
• 18:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, no that oklahoma loss is one of the more embarrassing losses you'll ever have man to get beat down like that to see what south carolina did at clemson.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: You know that's a better win than any of those other teams.
• 18:16
  Speaker 1: They're on a streak here.
• 18:18
Speaker 1: They won six or seven in a row and they but they haven't beat the big boys.
• 18:24
Speaker 1: I guess in the sec they haven't got a chance.
• 18:26
Speaker 1: They didn't beat georgia, they beat a.
• 18:28
  Speaker 1: What a and m?
• 18:28
Speaker 1: Yeah, so we'll find out tonight.
• 18:32
Speaker 1: Uh, florida state season they got a new oc, the gus bus, and a new dc.
• 18:36
Speaker 1: And a new dc, the guy from nebraska, the white guy, the black guy named White, tony White In Nebraska.
• 18:46
  Speaker 3: Well, nebraska.
• 18:46
Speaker 3: I looked into that guy a little bit because I was like who the hell is this?
• 18:50
Speaker 3: Why are you hiring somebody from Nebraska?
• 18:52
Speaker 3: But the past two years that guy's had Nebraska in the top 20 on defense.
• 18:57
Speaker 3: That could be a really good hire.
• 18:59
Speaker 3: I'm not sold on Gus Malzahn.
• 19:02
Speaker 2: He runs the 3-3-5.
• 19:04
Speaker 2: He was at Syracuse a couple years ago.
• 19:07
Speaker 2: They had an okay defense.
• 19:09
Speaker 2: Florida State didn't really have a ton of problems with it the first time they faced it.
• 19:16
Speaker 1: I hope he brings the D-line coach.
• 19:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess man Odell's going to make his way.
• 19:22
Speaker 1: He'll retire, maybe get a job in the front office or support staff, which I think will be a good way, have y'all gotten rid of Randy?
• 19:30
  Speaker 1: Shannon.
• 19:30
Speaker 1: Yet Well, that's by getting the DC that they did.
• 19:34
Speaker 2: I'm just assuming, I'm assuming that.
• 19:36
Speaker 2: They coach the same positions White's like a linebacker coach.
• 19:41
Speaker 2: Tomorrow is signing day, so's you know, maybe they're holding on.
• 19:45
Speaker 1: I mean, if randy shannon stays he's here, but he's the like he.
• 19:49
Speaker 1: He has that like, hey, we're gonna put you in this interim role.
• 19:52
Speaker 1: You've done it before.
• 19:53
Speaker 3: We're not keeping you, but yeah so yeah, sure, yeah, I'm a I'm a canes and dolphins fan and I and I hate Randy Shannon.
• 20:02
  Speaker 3: He is awful.
• 20:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not, he can't be back.
• 20:06
  Speaker 2: No, he no.
• 20:08
  Speaker 1: I think.
• 20:08
Speaker 1: On Gus, however, I've been switching over back and forth.
• 20:14
Speaker 1: I think it's one thing it's definitely he's going with someone he feels comfortable with and it's someone that he's going to give the play calling over to, so Mike's not.
• 20:22
Speaker 1: He's already said that that he's going to give the play calling over to, so mike's not.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: He's already said that.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: So he's not going to call plays and he's never not done that.
• 20:28
Speaker 1: So that'll be, you know, something to watch out for, and we'll see if gus I just don't trust.
• 20:33
Speaker 3: I don't trust miles on man.
• 20:34
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's fair I just don't trust miles on.
• 20:38
Speaker 3: Dude like his offense was really cool for about three or four years until people figured it out We'll see.
• 20:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, I'm thinking it's a little elementary.
• 20:49
  Speaker 3: It's antiquated now.
• 20:50
Speaker 1: He's going with it.
• 20:51
Speaker 1: It's about the players Go get a Cam Newton, and I'm sure it'll work fine Everything works good with Cam Newton, you're going to have to get the right guy.
• 21:01
Speaker 1: He did it with a guy like Shit is over.
• 21:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, he just hired Gus Malzahn to be the offensive.
• 21:09
Speaker 2: What are we even talking about here, dude?
• 21:11
Speaker 2: This guy has been.
• 21:12
Speaker 2: People have bitched about his play calling at Auburn and at UCF.
• 21:17
Speaker 3: Now, they ran him out of UCF bro.
• 21:21
Speaker 2: That's the reason he fucking resigned is because people are so sick of his play calling.
• 21:26
Speaker 1: Well as the head coach.
• 21:27
  Speaker 1: Maybe you'll get a.
• 21:29
Speaker 2: No, you won't get anything.
• 21:31
Speaker 2: Listen, Norvell is, for all intents and purposes, pretty much broken psychologically here, so he called his old daddy guy to come back and help him fix the offense.
• 21:42
Speaker 2: When it doesn't work, they're all going to be out.
• 21:45
Speaker 2: I mean, that's all there is to it.
• 21:49
Speaker 2: You could not have convinced me that that was going to be the outcome up until it was announced Like I thought it was a huge joke.
• 22:00
Speaker 1: Well, I think you were joking about that earlier in the season.
• 22:02
Speaker 2: Right, I'm absolutely floored by it and you know people.
• 22:06
Speaker 2: I've seen people compare it to chip Kelly leaving UCLA and going to Ohio state.
• 22:10
Speaker 2: Number one Okay, who cares?
• 22:13
Speaker 2: Number two look how well it's working out for Ohio state All right.
• 22:17
Speaker 2: They got the best receivers on the planet and they put up 10 points against Michigan Right.
• 22:24
Speaker 1: Well, can't get much worse.
• 22:30
Speaker 3: I think that's what you're seeing here Like so I don't think that anything that the expectations are going to try though.
• 22:39
Speaker 2: Defense I'd like to hire if you bring the defensive line coach to see what the rest of it looks like.
• 22:43
Speaker 2: Office I just number one terrible reputation with quarterbacks.
• 22:49
Speaker 1: Miami needs a new quarterback next year.
• 22:50
Speaker 1: And guess who's going back in the portal?
• 22:53
Speaker 1: His name is DJ.
• 22:57
  Speaker 2: DJ.
• 22:57
Speaker 1: Uwe, DJ Uwe and he might beami is his.
• 23:04
Speaker 3: I actually I, I actually like, uh, the backup kid that we got right now that we saw a little bit of last year.
• 23:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, uh, the kid from milton up here really like that kid this would be.
• 23:17
Speaker 2: How's it like taking it all this year?
• 23:20
Speaker 1: your best quarterbacks the team's ever had no right and then and then he leaves, like Cam Ward is, jordan Travis left last year.
• 23:27
Speaker 1: Let me go down to Tallahassee If he were to do that, and go to Miami and screw that up too.
• 23:32
Speaker 1: First of all, oh.
• 23:35
Speaker 2: He's wrecked the three best programs in the ACC Florida State, Miami, Clemson.
• 23:40
Speaker 2: Like all three of them for DJ.
• 23:42
Speaker 3: He needs to take it out west, take down the entire conference with one kid.
• 23:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought that was a joke.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: That can't be real.
• 23:52
Speaker 3: If Cristobal were to bring in DJU, I will ditch all my Canes gear and I will be an SMU fan for the rest of my life that's not recorded.
• 24:02
  Speaker 2: That's on record.
• 24:03
Speaker 2: All right, be an SMU fan for the rest of my life.
• 24:04
  Speaker 2: That's not recorded.
• 24:04
  Speaker 2: That's on record.
• 24:06
Speaker 2: I have seen some mention of the guy out at Cal going back home to Miami and Miller Moss.
• 24:15
Speaker 2: I think he's pretty much locked in with Michigan at this point, unless they just prefer to go elsewhere.
• 24:24
Speaker 3: I mean that Mendoza kid out of.
• 24:27
Speaker 1: Cal is not bad we need about 60 new players.
• 24:43
  Speaker 1: Combat.
• 24:44
Speaker 1: That's what it is time for.
• 24:45
Speaker 1: It's almost that season, but uh the uh.
• 24:48
Speaker 1: We're looking forward to the uh playoff rankings coming up tonight.
• 24:52
Speaker 1: At least I am, you know.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: I'm glad the florida state season's over, thank god.
• 24:57
Speaker 1: Um, there'll be a lot to talk about in terms of new coaches signing days coming up.
• 25:04
  Speaker 1: It's tomorrow, yeah.
• 25:06
Speaker 2: It's not worth mentioning.
• 25:07
  Speaker 2: Do you have?
• 25:08
  Speaker 3: anybody.
• 25:08
Speaker 2: They held on to a few we held on to Chase Lofton, four-star tight end out of Nebraska.
• 25:12
Speaker 2: He'll be headlining the class of four.
• 25:15
  Speaker 1: Yeah, not many.
• 25:16
Speaker 1: It's going to be big.
• 25:18
Speaker 3: He's got as many players as he's got stars.
• 25:20
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be just piecing together here, but maybe the expectations being lowered is exactly what this team needs.
• 25:29
Speaker 1: I believe it does.
• 25:31
Speaker 3: Maybe Malzahn brings Miami, transfer Jacurry Brown from UCF with him up to Tallahassee.
• 25:37
Speaker 3: Jacurry's just going to hit the whole state.
• 25:39
Speaker 1: Oh boy, yeah, dj down in Miami, Jacurry up here, let's do it.
• 25:43
Speaker 1: Oh boy, that'd be terrible.
• 25:45
Speaker 3: Let's both go two and 10 next year it's going to happen.
• 25:49
Speaker 2: It's going to happen.
• 25:52
Speaker 3: Oh man, cj Lagway wins the Heisman yeah.
• 25:56
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 25:56
Speaker 1: Well, let's move to the NFL Bills.
• 25:59
Speaker 1: Are they the best team right now?
• 26:04
  Speaker 2: Right now.
• 26:05
Speaker 3: Best team in football.
• 26:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, they look like it.
• 26:09
Speaker 3: Josh Allen's an alien.
• 26:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, the 49ers are done.
• 26:13
Speaker 1: As they lose McCaffrey with another injury to his knee.
• 26:17
Speaker 2: I'd hang it up for the.
• 26:18
Speaker 2: I'd call that a career for McCaffrey man If I was him.
• 26:21
Speaker 2: Money's going to be there no matter what.
• 26:23
Speaker 2: Dude's not going to be able to walk when he gets to be 40.
• 26:27
Speaker 1: The Eagles with a big win over the Ravens, the Eagles are really solidifying themselves as one of the favorites in the NFC.
• 26:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, we might have to stop hating on Sirianni so much.
• 26:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, I hate to say it.
• 26:42
Speaker 1: Right, but that dude just keeps winning Right.
• 26:45
Speaker 1: Hating on sirianni so much, yeah, I hate to say it, right, but that dude just keeps winning right.
• 26:48
  Speaker 1: That's true.
• 26:48
Speaker 1: I think that more of just getting saquon is so as just really complimented, jalen hurts game and it's really yeah, no that that gm he.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: He knows how to draft man yeah, yeah and trade, because he's gotten the receiver and then he got the running back and they're both big-time effect, like the first year.
• 27:07
Speaker 1: Especially Saw it with Jalen Brown.
• 27:09
Speaker 1: Now you're seeing it with Saquon Barkley.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: Let's see who else in the NFC is good man you got the Vikings hanging out, it's looking like just a collision course with the Lions and Eagles.
• 27:21
  Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much.
• 27:23
Speaker 1: And you know you can say in the AFC it's kind of looking like the same with the Bills and the Chiefs.
• 27:28
Speaker 1: I mean because the Ravens have proven what they are.
• 27:33
Speaker 1: And I mean the Steelers and the Ravens and the Steelers can't even beat the Browns, who played last night.
• 27:45
Speaker 3: How many years do we have to watch the Ravens lose every critical big game before we realize that they just are not built to win the big games?
• 27:54
Speaker 1: Yeah Right, we'll see if this year is any different, but it won't be.
• 28:01
Speaker 1: Man, kansas City has that one game advantage, which I think will be the big thing to watch out for, is the home field.
• 28:08
Speaker 1: That game's in Buffalo, yeah, that's going to be a big one.
• 28:12
Speaker 1: Chiefs only got a shot.
• 28:14
Speaker 1: If they can get it at home, they still might not get them this year.
• 28:17
Speaker 1: It's starting to look like it's just the Bills' time.
• 28:24
Speaker 3: A Bills-Lyons Super Bowl would be awesome.
• 28:27
Speaker 1: They never won it, that would be, and I think you're getting the two up-and-coming teams with the best teams.
• 28:34
Speaker 1: Really, it would be a fun game to watch.
• 28:36
Speaker 1: Oh man Last night, oh my Jameis.
• 28:41
  Speaker 2: Winston experience man.
• 28:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the fool, all I'm doing.
• 28:45
Speaker 1: The professional career of him in one game.
• 28:47
  Speaker 1: There it is.
• 28:49
Speaker 1: I give you last night, and as you know, just, you're not going to find a more entertaining player, but man, he, for better or worse, yeah, it's just like.
• 29:00
Speaker 1: Like literally he goes from on one pass and that, that, folks, is the franchise record for all time passing yards.
• 29:08
Speaker 1: And then the next play and it's intercepted to ice the game.
• 29:12
Speaker 2: So I mean there's some incredible highs but just disastrous lows and well, there's something to be said about coming in and calling a game where jamis throws it 58 times.
• 29:25
Speaker 1: I mean you're kind of asking for right, I mean if you look at the situation the cleveland's in and although they did make the playoffs with joe flacco is more just evident that they need to move off of Deshaun Watson.
• 29:36
Speaker 1: Whether it's with Jameis or not, deshaun is not the answer.
• 29:41
Speaker 1: I mean, look at all the players that are now at least they're trying At least they're freaking, trying.
• 29:47
Speaker 3: And there's something Dude look how good in the past two seasons.
• 29:50
Speaker 3: Like you were just about to say, there's one guy that just shows how terrible deshaun watson is, and it's david nojoku.
• 29:58
Speaker 3: Yeah right, david nojoku was a complete bust garbage guy.
• 30:03
Speaker 3: With watson, flacco comes in, he becomes a top five fantasy tight end.
• 30:08
Speaker 3: Same thing winston's out there or watson's out there yeah, no watson's out there.
• 30:14
  Speaker 3: No, joku sucks.
• 30:15
Speaker 3: James comes in his joke.
• 30:17
Speaker 1: Who's uncomfortable right, yeah, and look what yeah it's.
• 30:19
Speaker 1: I mean you, you have the mistakes and all, but I mean he's accountable for him, he's trying, he's giving it.
• 30:25
Speaker 1: I mean you're gonna go out there and be like man elite, we, we at least have a shot.
• 30:28
Speaker 1: You know in front, we might not win, but we got a chance and he's like that.
• 30:33
Speaker 3: Uh, you know, he's like a, like a UFC fighter that is either going to knock you out, in the first two rounds or he's going to get knocked out.
• 30:41
  Speaker 1: Yep, he's must-see TV.
• 30:43
Speaker 1: I just, you know the Browns would be smart to just take, just use him until you can get better.
• 30:52
Speaker 1: And you know, just cut Deshaun and try to get James on a like a budget deal, because he throws a lot of picks still and he'd be like, listen, we can't pay you big money and just be fun to watch for a couple of years?
• 31:03
  Speaker 1: I don't know.
• 31:05
Speaker 3: Or if they just keep losing this year, dude, they could be in position to get a cam order.
• 31:09
Speaker 1: I should do her stand.
• 31:10
Speaker 1: Those are the first two quarterbacks.
• 31:16
Speaker 3: Now, you like Sanders better?
• 31:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, I do, but I'll tell you why.
• 31:21
Speaker 3: I haven't seen Shador consistently throw the ball across his body into the middle of the field like I have Cam Ward for 12 games this season.
• 31:31
  Speaker 1: That's true.
• 31:32
Speaker 1: There's a little bit more of there's a couple things there.
• 31:38
Speaker 1: Shador takes a lot of sacks.
• 31:42
Speaker 3: They both take a lot of sacks they both hold onto the ball way too long.
• 31:45
  Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
• 31:48
  Speaker 1: I like Cam Ward's competitiveness.
• 31:52
  Speaker 2: Right.
• 31:52
Speaker 2: Personality-wise, mentality-, mentality wise.
• 31:55
Speaker 3: I give it to cam ward all day wow yeah, you're not gonna get the prime time drama right, but that prime time drama was also.
• 32:04
Speaker 2: You know it's getting coached in and tootled tutored by qb guys in the nfl since yeah so there's a little bit more polish there.
• 32:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean those are your top two guys.
• 32:17
  Speaker 1: Yeah, so we'll.
• 32:21
Speaker 1: It will be anxious to see Travis Hunter, probably going to.
• 32:23
Speaker 1: I tell that's going to be maybe your first three picks, those guys.
• 32:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, it kind of depends on.
• 32:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, that very well could be the first three picks.
• 32:31
Speaker 3: It should do her Hunter and Cam.
• 32:32
  Speaker 1: I'm taking.
• 32:33
  Speaker 1: I'm taking Hunter.
• 32:35
Speaker 2: If you need a quarterback.
• 32:36
Speaker 1: I don't care, I mean you can see what you can get at quarterback for much like you can get at a retread.
• 32:44
Speaker 1: You can get a guy for a good budget and none of these quarterbacks.
• 32:49
Speaker 1: I'm taking that guy.
• 32:50
Speaker 1: That's the generational talent guy.
• 32:53
  Speaker 1: That's that guy.
• 32:54
Speaker 1: That's the generational talent guy.
• 32:55
  Speaker 1: That's the guy.
• 32:57
Speaker 3: The only thing against taking him so high in the draft for me is he's 160 pounds.
• 33:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, he's not playing 100 snaps a game.
• 33:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's going to be fun to see what how they use him.
• 33:15
Speaker 1: Will he be in every down defender?
• 33:18
Speaker 1: And then come in sparingly on offense.
• 33:20
Speaker 1: I think it's a little bit I think what they'll get, what they're going to do.
• 33:23
Speaker 1: They're going to put them on defense and kind of use them in offense.
• 33:27
Speaker 1: No, even though they probably he's a better receiver, I mean he's a receiver.
• 33:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he had over 100 catches.
• 33:31
  Speaker 2: He's a receiver.
• 33:31
Speaker 2: Yeah, that kid's not a defensive back.
• 33:34
Speaker 2: He can mess around in some zone coverage and take some risks, get some interceptions.
• 33:41
Speaker 1: He gets to the NFL and he has to go up against.
• 33:42
Speaker 1: The thing about that is you're not going to go, you don't come in spottingly on defense.
• 33:45
Speaker 1: You can on offense, you won't on defense.
• 33:48
  Speaker 1: And he's Right.
• 33:49
Speaker 1: It depends on what he's going to come out and say you know, I don't, I don't know.
• 33:53
Speaker 1: I think he's going to refuse to not play defense.
• 33:57
Speaker 1: You know he's not going to be like.
• 33:59
Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying.
• 34:01
Speaker 3: I think it could overall, overall impact your team better and in a more diverse way on defense, and then you gimmick up 10 to 12 plays for him on offense.
• 34:14
Speaker 1: You can't gimmick up defensive play exactly that's what I meant, and uh, so I, I definitely don't.
• 34:20
Speaker 1: He won't be able to do what he's doing now.
• 34:21
Speaker 1: He'll just he'll break down, but he'll still be able to do both ways, which is that's that's to do.
• 34:28
Speaker 1: That is a once in a generation type player, so that's why I'm taking him number one, but, uh, I think it might be even more rare than once in a generation, type player.
• 34:36
Speaker 3: So that's why I'm taking them number one.
• 34:37
Speaker 3: But uh, I think it might be even more rare than once in a generation.
• 34:39
Speaker 1: We've never seen anybody do that.
• 34:40
Speaker 1: Yeah, at this level, even at college level, just every daggum play, just playing both ways straight up.
• 34:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, Now he's like the best kid on your rec park team man.
• 34:48
Speaker 3: Yep and uh he doing it at d1 college football.
• 34:51
  Speaker 1: He's a football nerd too.
• 34:52
Speaker 1: I what I've you know read about him is that he's just doing all that there's just I just don't know how you like.
• 35:00
Speaker 1: Not a single thing 160 pound defensive, that's true that we'll find out, um, but you know, I think he's got separation and uh, skills that you can't find, so yeah, that's why he's really good on offense.
• 35:16
Speaker 3: I just don't see if you're going to have him be your number one wide receiver.
• 35:21
Speaker 3: I don't see him as a top five pick number one wide receiver.
• 35:25
Speaker 3: He's not Calvin Johnson, he's not Andre Johnson, he's not one of these game-changing.
• 35:30
Speaker 2: At the same time.
• 35:31
Speaker 2: He's also not Jalen Ramsey, game-changing At the same time.
• 35:36
Speaker 2: He's also not Jalen Ramsey.
• 35:37
Speaker 2: Jalen Ramsey never got beat and abused the way he's gotten beat the last two years?
• 35:43
Speaker 1: Are we going to look back at his career in 10 years and it's going to be more similar to what like a Reggie Bush, like an all-timer in college Jabril Peppers.
• 35:54
Speaker 1: Had a nice career in the pros, did a few things.
• 35:56
  Speaker 2: Jabril Peppers man.
• 35:57
Speaker 2: He played linebacker and running back at Michigan.
• 36:01
Speaker 3: I love Jabril Peppers man.
• 36:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, he was really good, really good, and he got to the NFL and he just didn't really have anything at either position.
• 36:10
Speaker 1: I don't think that's going to happen to Travis Hunter.
• 36:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he's pretty special yeah.
• 36:14
Speaker 2: I think you put him in the slot boom.
• 36:17
  Speaker 1: He's uncoverable Right.
• 36:19
Speaker 1: It depends on who takes him where he goes.
• 36:21
Speaker 1: I know Jacksonville will definitely take him.
• 36:23
Speaker 1: They'd be morons not to take him.
• 36:25
Speaker 1: It also depends if you're going to need a quarterback.
• 36:33
Speaker 3: A lot to talk about transfer portal and all that.
• 36:38
  Speaker 1: If I'm Jacksonsonville, I trade.
• 36:39

• 36:41
Speaker 3: you saying man, you're jacksonville if.

• 36:54
Speaker 1: And then just have both those guys say we're not playing anywhere else, but together.
• 36:58
Speaker 2: Right and we're holding out Dude.
• 37:01
Speaker 2: That would actually be the smartest GM move.
• 37:04
  Speaker 1: Hey.
• 37:05
Speaker 2: Con would never think of it.
• 37:07
Speaker 1: Well, you know Dion, so you don't think, Dion, his son's gone, so Travis Hunter's gone Is he gone?
• 37:18
  Speaker 2: I don't know.
• 37:19
Speaker 3: If somebody offers him he will Right.
• 37:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, he'd be foolish not to.
• 37:24
  Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
• 37:25
Speaker 2: He's like I'm going to take the head coaching job.
• 37:27
Speaker 2: We're going to trade everything we can to get the first pick.
• 37:30
Speaker 2: I'm taking my kid.
