- 2:42sends you. In local news. Emergency room visits
- 2:47for tick bites across the Northeast have climbed
- 2:50to their highest level for this time of year
- 2:53in nearly a decade, according to new data from
- 2:56the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
- 2:59Local health officials state that tick season
- 3:02is upon us, despite the harsh, snowy winter that
- 3:05many assumed would slow down tick activity. Julie
- 3:09McCarthy, the town of Needham's Assistant Public
- 3:12Health Director for Nursing and Behavioral Health,
- 3:15Explain that ticks are hardy and will find places
- 3:18to hide in long grass, bushes, and burrows. The
- 3:22tick population in the Northeast has gradually
- 3:24increased over the last decade due to growing
- 3:27populations, expanded geographic spread, and
- 3:30improved awareness. Now on to sports. Saudi Arabia
- 3:40is pulling funding from Live Golf. Its star players
- 3:45face a painful road back. Liv plans to inform
- 3:49players and staff by Thursday that Saudi Arabia's
- 3:52public investment fund will no longer finance
- 3:55the league after this season. The move signals
- 3:58potential demise for the upstart that disrupted
- 4:01professional golf, investing billions, and attracting
- 4:04top players. The writing had been on the wall
- 4:07for nearly a month. Recent statements from the
- 4:10Public Investment Fund did not include the leak
- 4:13in its five -year vision. While LIV has expanded
- 4:17the sport globally, its operations no longer
- 4:20align with the fund's new investment phase. In
- 4:23local sports, the Celtics have one chance to
- 4:27close it out. Game six tonight in Philadelphia
- 4:30at 8 o 'clock, and Boston leads the first -round
- 4:33series 3 -2. The Celtics blew a 13 -point lead
- 4:38last time, but they're 21 -6 on the road after
- 4:42a loss this season. Jason Tadum is back to full
- 4:46strength, and Peyton Pritchard has been unstoppable
- 4:49off the bench. Joel Embiid is probable for the
- 4:52Sixers after his appendectomy, but this is Boston's
- 4:56moment to advance. On the ice, the Bruins face
- 5:00elimination tomorrow night at TD Garden. Buffalo
- 5:04leads the series 3 -2, and this is Game 6, do
- 5:09or die. Jeremy Swayman has been stellar in net,
- 5:13stopping 25 shots in Game 5 on Tuesday when David
- 5:17Pasternak buried the overtime winner. But Victor
- 5:22Arvidson is out with an upper -body injury, and
- 5:25the Sabres are hungry, riding a strong road record
- 5:28since December. Puck drops at 7 .30. Meanwhile,
- 5:33the Red Sox are in free fall. Boston is 12 -19,
- 5:38just dropped both games in Toronto, and now they
- 5:42have lost ace Garrett Crochet to shoulder inflammation.
- 5:45The rotation is decimated with four starters
- 5:48down. Brian Vejo has posted a 9 .0 error this
- 5:53season, worst in the ale. They host Houston tomorrow
- 5:58at Fenway at 7 -10. Desperate for a win before
- 6:02a brutal 10 -game stretch with no days off kicks
- 6:05in. In top news, the United States economy is
- 6:11facing significant challenges. At his Senate
- 6:15confirmation hearing last week, Kevin Warsh stated
- 6:18that the Federal Reserve needed a serious overhaul,
- 6:21advocating for messier meetings and a good family
- 6:25fight. On Wednesday, Jerome Powell announced
- 6:28he would not be leaving immediately, breaking
- 6:31a 75 -year precedent where outgoing chairs left
- 6:34as successors took over. Three of Powell's colleagues
- 6:37indicated they are not inclined to cut interest
- 6:40rates soon. This decision follows a criminal
- 6:43investigation into Powell's oversight of building
- 6:46renovations, highlighting the Trump administration's
- 6:49pressure on the Federal Reserve. In business
- 6:53news. Michael Burry sounds the alarm on what
- 6:57is coming for 401ks. If you own an index fund
- 7:02in your 401k, the composition of your account
- 7:05could change in the coming months without any
- 7:07action on your part. SpaceX filed confidentially
- 7:11for what could become the largest initial public
- 7:13offering in market history on April 1st, and
- 7:17it aims to be added to the Nasdaq 100 shortly
- 7:19after it begins trading. Michael Burry believes
- 7:23ordinary investors holding 401k accounts are
- 7:26being positioned to fund insider profits on one
- 7:30of the most anticipated initial public offerings
- 7:32Wall Street has ever seen. Nasdaq overhauled
- 7:36its index methodology on March 30th, introducing
- 7:39the fast entry provision. In crypto movement,
- 7:43Bitcoin is down 1 .5 % to about $75 ,000. Ethereum
- 7:50is down 2 % to about $2 ,000. And XRP is down
- 7:561 % to $1 .36. Moving on to a more local vibe.

- 8:48Let's talk tech. On April 22, 2026, the topic
- 8:54of design is highlighted. Artificial intelligence
- 8:58is eliminating one of the biggest bottlenecks
- 9:00in car design. Aerodynamics is necessary, yet
- 9:05time -consuming in this process. For General
- 9:08Motors and Jaguar Land Rover, artificial intelligence
- 9:11is stepping in to help. Aerodynamics significantly
- 9:15impacts fuel efficiency. especially in electric
- 9:19vehicles, enhancing battery weight offset and
- 9:22overall range. However, aerodynamic analyses
- 9:26are excruciatingly slow. Brian Stiles, Director
- 9:30of Design Innovation and Technology Operations
- 9:33at General Motors, states, it can take days or
- 9:37weeks to get a full set of analysis back on the
- 9:40performance of that surface. And in entertainment
- 9:45news… Darth Vader arrives at Star Wars Land,
- 9:50marking a major shift in direction for Disneyland.
- 9:53His presence, along with that of Leia, Han, and
- 9:57Luke, has certainly ignited excitement among
- 9:59fans. While not every crowd may cheer a known
- 10:03notorious villain, the Disneyland faithful erupted
- 10:06in applause as Vader entered Star Wars Galaxy's
- 10:10Edge. Caloran has officially been evicted from
- 10:14Black Spire Outpost. making way for Vader, who
- 10:18will appear multiple times daily. In his first
- 10:21two appearances, he spoke of his quest to hunt
- 10:24down the young Jedi, flanked by two classic stormtroopers.
- 10:29Well, alrighty folks, it's time for the quote
- 10:32of the day. And today, our quote comes from the
- 10:36American journalist and author, Robert Quillen.
- 10:40And he said, Discussion is an exchange of knowledge.
- 10:44Argument in exchange of ignorance. And that's
- 10:48a wrap for this morning. You can check out our
- 10:51Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok for some captivating
- 10:55aerial videos with local news and the weather
- 10:59reports. Have an amazing day, my good friends.
