- 0:12Speaker 1: Is the good report. Welcome to the show. Well tonight
- 0:18Speaker 1: a reality check about the shocking shocking. It's just unbelievable
- 0:25Speaker 1: when you see this horrific video of how Hamas Terrists
- 0:29Speaker 1: treated five nineteen year old Jewish women. And this is
- 0:32Speaker 1: when Labor is trying to act neutral in this war
- 0:36Speaker 1: the cowards. Although the premise of today did have to
- 0:40Speaker 1: row back a lot. It's embarrassing. I'll show you that too.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Plus immigration, miss Andrew Jarles shifts the blame for the
- 0:46Speaker 1: release of a foreigner now accused of murder. But guess what,
- 0:51Speaker 1: it's not actually Charles who should be sacked for this.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Here's the foe go for his boss. I'll show you
- 0:56Speaker 1: that too. Also tonight, Britain's conservative Prime minister calls an
- 0:59Speaker 1: early election clas there will be sunnier days ahead if
- 1:02Speaker 1: people back this soggy leader who can't even check a
- 1:06Speaker 1: weather forecast. Most disastrous election announcement I've ever seen. And
- 1:10Speaker 1: the latest arranged attempt to destroy Donald Trump before the
- 1:13Speaker 1: election a new film showing him raping his former wife.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It seems so violent it drew audible gasps from the
- 1:22Speaker 2: audience and can and of course.
- 1:25Speaker 1: My whiskey in my book of the Week this time
- 1:27Speaker 1: the best, the most dangerous writer in France, the most
- 1:31Speaker 1: honor too. Despite being put on trial for insulting Islam.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Well you'll see that he hasn't taken that laying down.
- 1:40Speaker 1: But first, for heaven's sake, sack Chris Bowen. While there's
- 1:44Speaker 1: still the hope of saving Australia. It's Labour's great global
- 1:49Speaker 1: warming scheme. It's a disaster and even Labour now can't
- 1:53Speaker 1: deny it. It's planned to destroy an eleterricity system that
- 1:58Speaker 1: has worked with wind and solar that won't came to
- 2:02Speaker 1: a screaming hole today, at least the New South Wales,
- 2:04Speaker 1: where the government there signed a desperate deal to keep
- 2:07Speaker 1: open the giant aeraring cul foight plant for two more
- 2:11Speaker 1: years when it was due to be scrapped next year.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And the reason is simple. There's simply not enough green
- 2:16Speaker 1: electricity to replace it.
- 2:19Speaker 3: It going out in twenty twenty five is a major shop.
- 2:23Speaker 3: It leads to reliability risks, which means potential blackouts, and
- 2:27Speaker 3: it also would lead to a to a spiking prices.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Now, the deal that Utelfask governments come to with the
- 2:36Speaker 1: powerpline operators so it's not that important. Just though it's
- 2:39Speaker 1: an underwriting deal, it's probably going to cost taxpace hundreds
- 2:41Speaker 1: of millions of dollars. But the big point here is
- 2:45Speaker 1: that wherever you now look, Labour's global warming obsession is
- 2:49Speaker 1: destroying our reliable electricity supply and now also supplies of gas.
- 2:55Speaker 1: And the days are coming. I mean if you try to,
- 2:59Speaker 1: you know, put put on the lights or turn on
- 3:02Speaker 1: the heating, that we nothing. Now we're shutting down the
- 3:07Speaker 1: country or Labor is because of the most destructive public
- 3:11Speaker 1: policy in our lifetimes. And the worst is that Labor
- 3:16Speaker 1: is still refusing to grab hold of the one thing,
- 3:19Speaker 1: or at least one of the things that could still
- 3:21Speaker 1: save us from some of the terrible consequences of its
- 3:26Speaker 1: religious obsession, and that is nuclear power. Let's go back.
- 3:32Speaker 1: It's now seventeen years since Labor under Kevin Rudd decided
- 3:36Speaker 1: about global warming. Climate change, its new moral crusade.
- 3:40Speaker 4: High sage is the great moral challenge of our.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Generation, and since then, Labour's global warming policies and also
- 3:50Speaker 1: the liberal policies because they quite often because they were
- 3:52Speaker 1: too scared to say no, help to destroy one third
- 3:56Speaker 1: of our power stations, leaving US so short of electricity
- 4:00Speaker 1: that the Strand Energy Market Operator warned of potential blackouts
- 4:03Speaker 1: next summer in New South Wales and Victoria. Now Victoria
- 4:07Speaker 1: went even further. It even banned gas exploration on land
- 4:12Speaker 1: for a decade. It still bans fracking and we've just
- 4:17Speaker 1: found out it has been sitting on warnings that it
- 4:19Speaker 1: could run out of gas in two years. I mean,
- 4:22Speaker 1: this is just insane. In fact, you know with electricity,
- 4:28Speaker 1: AMA Stranded Energy Market Operator is now paying some manufacturers
- 4:31Speaker 1: big bundies are actually shut down whenever the districity supplies
- 4:36Speaker 1: are tighted. Can you believe that? So you've got to
- 4:39Speaker 1: ask yourself, which manufacturer needing a lot of electricity or
- 4:43Speaker 1: gas or whatever is going to invest in this country.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Opportunity to pit it today was right.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Businesses won't remain in our country if there's a disruption
- 4:53Speaker 4: to their power supply. There's ninety percent of the twenty
- 4:55Speaker 4: four to seven baseload power that goes out of the
- 4:58Speaker 4: system by twenty thirty four, and without gas and the
- 5:01Speaker 4: ability to firm up with base load power, we are
- 5:06Speaker 4: going to have disruption and increase prices.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It's not as if you're not seeing what's at stake
- 5:14Speaker 1: or any business failures in Australia tripple over the past
- 5:17Speaker 1: two years, and New South Wales labor is seeing all
- 5:20Speaker 1: this unfolding under his own watch now, which explains today's
- 5:23Speaker 1: the other keep its biggest cull Fard POWERstation going for
- 5:26Speaker 1: two years or even four.
- 5:28Speaker 3: The latest analysis from the Energy Market Operator says that
- 5:31Speaker 3: we have reliability gaps coming to us from twenty twenty
- 5:35Speaker 3: five to twenty twenty seven. We have to keep the
- 5:38Speaker 3: lights on and prices down.
- 5:42Speaker 1: So this iceberg that the whole country is steering into
- 5:45Speaker 1: is now so obvious that even Chris Bowen, the global
- 5:49Speaker 1: extreams is our federal energy and climate changements, had to cheer.
- 5:53Speaker 1: In New South.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Wales the Ararian power station should be open, not a
- 5:58Speaker 5: day longer than it should be and closed a day
- 6:00Speaker 5: earlier than it should. I think the New South Wales
- 6:01Speaker 5: government has done a good job in negotiating that. Ensuring
- 6:06Speaker 5: that you have that energy in the system as we
- 6:09Speaker 5: make that transition is I think appropriately.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So we're facing a real crisis right The green energy
- 6:16Speaker 1: is simply not coming online likewis promise. It just isn't
- 6:19Speaker 1: and it's costing a bond more, but Chris Bones still
- 6:22Speaker 1: will not pull back. In fact, it's doubling down. He
- 6:26Speaker 1: and Pram minus Anthony ALBINIZI now spending billions and billions
- 6:29Speaker 1: of your dollars on more hair brain green schemes like
- 6:32Speaker 1: brain that they'll find one that will save us. Green
- 6:36Speaker 1: hydrogen proves at scale nowhere in the world's spending billions
- 6:41Speaker 1: on that, hoping for this miracle green fuel to actually happen.
- 6:45Speaker 1: There's another billion dollars to build solar panels here that
- 6:48Speaker 1: shared with the Queensland government when there's already a glut
- 6:51Speaker 1: of these panels in the world thanks to China. And
- 6:53Speaker 1: today another crazy scheme half a billion dollars to persuade
- 6:56Speaker 1: businesses to build batteries here as a backup for windens
- 6:59Speaker 1: sole the plants build them. In Australia, it's.
- 7:03Speaker 6: A matter of supporting in the initial stages.
- 7:09Speaker 7: Industries to grow.
- 7:10Speaker 6: We haven't backed our own industries and our own people.
- 7:17Speaker 1: But here's the government splashing your money on batteries, you know,
- 7:22Speaker 1: in its vain attempt to find something, you know, picking winners,
- 7:27Speaker 1: when even its own Treasury Department says it doesn't make
- 7:31Speaker 1: sense to invest in batteries. We can buy them much
- 7:34Speaker 1: cheaper overseas. We're not never going to compete. But the
- 7:36Speaker 1: Industry Minister today reckons, well, these normal laws of economics
- 7:41Speaker 1: don't apply to this government.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Both Treasury and the Productivity Commission have said Australia doesn't
- 7:47Speaker 6: have the capacity to build a sustainable battery manufacturing industry.
- 7:51Speaker 8: What's your response to their critique.
- 7:54Speaker 9: Well, a lot of it is orthodox thinking about just
- 7:57Speaker 9: relying on our comparative advantage or whenever any one says
- 8:00Speaker 9: that to you, it's about just maintaining the old diganship mentality.
- 8:06Speaker 1: It's like a government to denying the existence of gravity.
- 8:09Speaker 1: This is going to go horribly wrong. But the worst
- 8:12Speaker 1: of it all is that this government still refuses to
- 8:15Speaker 1: look at the one zero missions technology we know does work,
- 8:21Speaker 1: works already in thirty two countries and will provide electricity
- 8:25Speaker 1: around the clock twenty four to seven. And that of
- 8:28Speaker 1: course is nuclear power. And I asked you to try
- 8:30Speaker 1: to explain this. Of the world's twenty largest economies, right
- 8:37Speaker 1: advanced economies, Australia is the only one that doesn't use
- 8:42Speaker 1: nuclear power, or doesn't want to in fact bans it. Australia,
- 8:48Speaker 1: How does that work. We've got crippling prices, power prices,
- 8:51Speaker 1: we've got shortages, the whole green energy project falling apart,
- 8:56Speaker 1: with your electricity and your gas to your home no
- 8:58Speaker 1: longer guaranteed in some power. Here is a Labor government saying, well,
- 9:03Speaker 1: despite all that, nuclear power must still be banned Save Australia.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Sack Chris Bowen. But all these calls out of sack
- 9:19Speaker 1: another Alberaniz. The government minister the Immigration was Andrew Giles
- 9:23Speaker 1: over its latest disaster. Look, I think his critics are
- 9:26Speaker 1: missing the big picture here. Andrew Charles is just a
- 9:29Speaker 1: scapegoat for Anthony Albanezi. And why isn't the Prime Minister
- 9:33Speaker 1: then under the gorilla for another terrible policy call? Proof
- 9:38Speaker 1: coming up? Andrew Giles today did finally come out of
- 9:41Speaker 1: witness protection to face the media and explain his role
- 9:44Speaker 1: in an alleged murder. How was it that the Administrative
- 9:49Speaker 1: Appeals Tribunal overturned a decision to throw out Emmanuel Saki,
- 9:54Speaker 1: who Sudanese throw him out of the country and letting
- 9:58Speaker 1: him free instead to then legedly murder Bosco Minurano. Well
- 10:04Speaker 1: it's not my fault, said Andrew Joles today, just he
- 10:07Speaker 1: had wanted this alleged killer sent back to Sudan.
- 10:11Speaker 10: We very strongly argued against his visa, which was canceled
- 10:16Speaker 10: being revoked. We argued very strongly for the grounds of
- 10:20Speaker 10: community safety, which are at the highest priority of the
- 10:24Speaker 10: ministry or direction and of our consideration of all of
- 10:27Speaker 10: these matters. That was what we put to the Administrative
- 10:30Speaker 10: Appeals Tribunal. The tribunal made a different decision.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Except, as I showed last night, that's not the full story.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Because the Tribunal freedom Manuel Saki after Jarles in January
- 10:42Speaker 1: issued a new director of saying, don't be so quick
- 10:46Speaker 1: to throw out foreign criminals if they've been in Australia
- 10:48Speaker 1: for a long time, and Saki was exactly one of those.
- 10:51Speaker 1: He'd been here since he was twelve. The tribunal noted
- 10:54Speaker 1: exactly that, followed exactly what Charles had told it to
- 10:57Speaker 1: and released Saki despite its long criminal record, leaving the
- 11:00Speaker 1: family of the man who's now allegedly killed stunned.
- 11:04Speaker 11: This could have been prevented, definitely could have been prevented.
- 11:07Speaker 11: It should have never happened to wake up and find
- 11:09Speaker 11: out the person was out in the public and has
- 11:11Speaker 11: previous choices, not just in one state another state, and
- 11:14Speaker 11: he had just got released. I'm like, oh, this person
- 11:16Speaker 11: is like they should not be out in the public.
- 11:18Speaker 11: Why would they even let somebody out like that.
- 11:20Speaker 1: We're not restrictions, so sack Giles, they say, But I
- 11:24Speaker 1: ask you, whose idea was it really this new rule
- 11:27Speaker 1: to avoid throwing out a foreign criminal if it's been
- 11:29Speaker 1: here for years? Anthony Albanzi, do you remember when he
- 11:34Speaker 1: became Prime minis he made a big deal about how
- 11:37Speaker 1: the Liberals had upset our neighbors had stupid Scott Morrison.
- 11:41Speaker 1: In New Zealand's case, Morrison sending back Kiwi criminals had
- 11:45Speaker 1: lived here for a long time, making it just center
- 11:49Speaker 1: durn so very cross. So when Albanez he met with
- 11:53Speaker 1: New Zealand's worst ever labor Prime Minister Cinder, returned than
- 11:57Speaker 1: the media superstar. He gave her a makeup present, which
- 12:00Speaker 1: is exactly this change to let more foreign criminals stay
- 12:05Speaker 1: in Australia if there being here for ages. And Adirn
- 12:08Speaker 1: said thank you.
- 12:10Speaker 7: But in my mind, yes, this does represent a reset.
- 12:13Speaker 6: Psych Australia has gone out of the Nordy corner. We're
- 12:17Speaker 6: been in the Nordy corner for nine years.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Australia's out of the Nordy corner. But there's someone dead,
- 12:26Speaker 1: So why is Jiles being flogged for a policy that
- 12:29Speaker 1: Albanizy wanted? Joining me is our Thursday Regular Nationals front
- 12:32Speaker 1: pitch of Barnaby Joyce, the former Deputy Prime Minister. Barnaby,
- 12:36Speaker 1: great to see you again. Look, the Prime Minister changed
- 12:39Speaker 1: the policy to please New Zealand's just sinder Adern and
- 12:43Speaker 1: now in Australia is dead allegedly as a consequence. Isn't
- 12:46Speaker 1: this on him and not the Immigration minister?
- 12:51Speaker 12: Well it is, and I think it's very insightful that
- 12:55Speaker 12: piece the naughty corner. Unfortunately, the criminals through out of
- 12:59Speaker 12: the naughty jail, they're walking the streets and it seems
- 13:02Speaker 12: like that the Prime Minister was the person who inspired
- 13:07Speaker 12: this change.
- 13:08Speaker 13: Now we get this eternal things. It's nothing to do
- 13:12Speaker 13: with us.
- 13:12Speaker 12: It's like the Labor Party is just pining for opposition.
- 13:16Speaker 12: They just want to be the opposition again. They were
- 13:17Speaker 12: so good at being the opposition because they're absolutely and
- 13:21Speaker 12: absolute fiasco of being the government, whether it's power, whether
- 13:24Speaker 12: it's letting criminals is loose on the street. I mean
- 13:27Speaker 12: we see at the costs of living, the whole thing
- 13:30Speaker 12: they had defense force. I mean it's a fiasco and
- 13:34Speaker 12: the number one, number one clown at the fiasco circus
- 13:38Speaker 12: unfortunately as the Prime Minister.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Well sure the ring masks. Another thing that's really hit
- 13:46Speaker 1: the fan, the great global warming scheme to get rid
- 13:49Speaker 1: of coal and gas. Now the news has government, you know,
- 13:53Speaker 1: it's panicking. It's underwriting a col Fard power plant Ererring
- 13:58Speaker 1: to stay open for at least two more years. Believe
- 14:00Speaker 1: the Victorian government is contemplating something similar there. I mean,
- 14:03Speaker 1: all this, doesn't this absolutely underline the need to at
- 14:08Speaker 1: least consider drop the ban on nuclear power.
- 14:14Speaker 12: Well, it's not a religion, it's a cult. What we're
- 14:17Speaker 12: having is this sort of cult like approach. They run
- 14:20Speaker 12: to the door and say.
- 14:21Speaker 13: Here are the pamphlets, the world is about to end.
- 14:23Speaker 13: And if you don't.
- 14:24Speaker 12: Agree with them, they go Denia, you're not a believer,
- 14:27Speaker 12: and they run.
- 14:27Speaker 13: Off to another house and knock on their door.
- 14:30Speaker 12: But you know, we're seeing it. It's just that the
- 14:32Speaker 12: reality is just screaming at us. If he close down
- 14:35Speaker 12: a Rahring, those lights will go out. It's very very simple.
- 14:39Speaker 12: It's like the person who tries to break their horse
- 14:41Speaker 12: into eat rocks, you know, eat rocks, eat rocks, and
- 14:43Speaker 12: one day they say, you know just about how the
- 14:45Speaker 12: damn thing broken in, but it died. I mean, this
- 14:48Speaker 12: is just this lunacy, this loopy lunacy, that intermittent power
- 14:54Speaker 12: swindle factories, soular factories, the countryside covered in a cobs
- 15:00Speaker 12: webs of transmission lines that are Australia will.
- 15:03Speaker 13: Run an economy on a windmill.
- 15:06Speaker 12: I mean, if you want to see how it's going,
- 15:07Speaker 12: not one major manufacturer is making their way to Australia.
- 15:12Speaker 12: They're all on their way out because they tell us
- 15:15Speaker 12: what we want to hear. They say, look, they're kind
- 15:17Speaker 12: of crazy in Australia. Just tell them whatever they want
- 15:19Speaker 12: to hear. They're kind of loopy, and they say, oh yes, great,
- 15:21Speaker 12: we're going to save the save the planet zero missions
- 15:24Speaker 12: by twenty three rah rah off, you go, you lunatic.
- 15:27Speaker 12: And then they just leave us. Then they just leave us,
- 15:30Speaker 12: and a rah ring is now even the left saying,
- 15:32Speaker 12: oh hang on, if we shut it.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Down, the lots go out, Yeah, well done.
- 15:36Speaker 13: Cyclone absolutely one hundred percent correct.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Incredible that no one thought, oh look if you shut
- 15:45Speaker 1: all these culfard power stations. We might not have enough
- 15:48Speaker 1: power because we haven't made it figured a way to
- 15:50Speaker 1: make all the alternatives work. Barnaby, this is really embarrassing.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Anthony would easy today try a desperate excuse, a desperate
- 15:58Speaker 1: rowback on some thing he failed to do on Tuesday.
- 16:02Speaker 1: On Tuesday, refused to criticize or even comment on a
- 16:05Speaker 1: decision by the Chief prosecuted the International Criminal Court to
- 16:08Speaker 1: seek warrants for the arrest of Israel's Prime Minister for
- 16:11Speaker 1: alleged war crimes along with the leaders of her mass
- 16:14Speaker 1: as if he was just another terrorist too. Now a
- 16:17Speaker 1: group of rabbis that they were begging him to take
- 16:19Speaker 1: a stand for once, and today he trotted out this excuse.
- 16:23Speaker 1: He claim to God asked an obtuse question on Tuesday
- 16:27Speaker 1: and then falsely claimed we hadn't quoted all he said
- 16:30Speaker 1: that day.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Here is I got asked an obtuse question yesterday or
- 16:36Speaker 6: the day before, and today I'll make this point. What
- 16:40Speaker 6: we've been very clear about, and I was clear about
- 16:43Speaker 6: two days ago. Didn't get a run in any of
- 16:47Speaker 6: the quotes that he is, but I made it clear
- 16:50Speaker 6: a couple of days ago. Our opposition to what happened
- 16:54Speaker 6: on October seventh, once again, to the terrorist actions of
- 16:58Speaker 6: ha Mass there is now equent. It's between a terrorist
- 17:01Speaker 6: organization like AMAS and should not be compared with any
- 17:05Speaker 6: nation state.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Barnaby, that is so embarrassingly misleading, to put it mildly,
- 17:12Speaker 1: I've checked everything out with As he said on the
- 17:14Speaker 1: record on Tuesday, he never made that point about more
- 17:17Speaker 1: of the equivalents. Then he's still not criticizing the International
- 17:20Speaker 1: Criminal Court now. He wouldn't even say today of Australia
- 17:24Speaker 1: would or would not arrest Benjamin Now the Israeli Prime minister.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Here if the court did endorse the prosecutor's requests for
- 17:31Speaker 1: a warrant, or even whether we quit the body, should
- 17:34Speaker 1: we quit the International Criminal Court over this scandal?
- 17:39Speaker 12: Well, if this is the direction they're going, if they're
- 17:42Speaker 12: going to create a democratically elected government and say that
- 17:47Speaker 12: that is a criminal action, were they saying that the
- 17:51Speaker 12: people who elected them partook in a criminal action to
- 17:56Speaker 12: elected democratic government?
- 17:58Speaker 13: We keep on missing the number one fact here.
- 18:00Speaker 12: Hamas is a terrorist organization that on October seventh, in
- 18:06Speaker 12: twenty twenty three, invaded a country, raped women, mutilated people,
- 18:13Speaker 12: tour bodies apart, carded corpses around their streets, took hostages
- 18:18Speaker 12: and not what you would expect would happen. There was
- 18:23Speaker 12: the retaliation of the country that was invaded to stop
- 18:26Speaker 12: this happening. Now, if a mass wants the water stop surrender,
- 18:30Speaker 12: that's how you stopped what surrender and hand.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Back the hostages.
- 18:34Speaker 12: And yes, there'll be certain people who will have to
- 18:36Speaker 12: absolutely and rightfully face the music. But this idea, well,
- 18:40Speaker 12: what will zoo Is will say, Well, because you defended
- 18:44Speaker 12: your nation and retaliated against an absolutely barbaric act, Israel
- 18:48Speaker 12: are criminals. The International Criminal Court are casting an dispersion
- 18:55Speaker 12: against themselves against themselves because if you sit back and
- 18:58Speaker 12: think about it, if that had happened to Australia, what
- 19:01Speaker 12: would Australia want its armed forces? What would Australia want
- 19:05Speaker 12: its government to do if we woke up one day
- 19:07Speaker 12: and found out that in Sydney women had been raped,
- 19:10Speaker 12: babies mutilated, people just shot dead, murdered, hostages taken. They
- 19:15Speaker 12: just charged in and invaded us. And if we said, yeah,
- 19:17Speaker 12: we're going to deal with this, We're going to deal
- 19:19Speaker 12: with this in the most dramatic and immediate way and
- 19:21Speaker 12: without equivocation, and they said, well, obviously the Australian Prime
- 19:25Speaker 12: Minister is a criminal and should go to jail.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Look, Barnaby, it's just sickening what I'm seeing. Yes,
- 19:34Speaker 1: I don't recognize my country, particularly not under Anthony Albanezi.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I don't know what games playing, whether it's got asy
- 19:41Speaker 1: telling him, don't.
- 19:42Speaker 13: You know, it's really simple, it's really simple. He's weak.
- 19:47Speaker 12: You know.
- 19:47Speaker 13: I don't think he's an anti Semite.
- 19:48Speaker 12: I don't think he's to be honest, necessarily a bad
- 19:52Speaker 12: person or anything like that.
- 19:53Speaker 13: I don't think that. You know, politically I've got differences,
- 19:56Speaker 13: but he's a weak man.
- 19:57Speaker 12: He is very weak and you can't have the leader
- 20:00Speaker 12: of the nation being weak.
- 20:04Speaker 1: I think he's also playing it through a purely political spectrum.
- 20:08Speaker 1: What will get me the votes? When I think one
- 20:11Speaker 1: day you look back at your career and you'll think
- 20:13Speaker 1: I tried that for votes. Should be shamed of myself.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Banaby Joyce, thank you so much, indeed for your time.
- 20:22Speaker 1: After the break, Britain goes to the polls after this
- 20:25Speaker 1: prime Minister makes the most disastrous election announcement I've ever seen.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You've got to see to believe it. I tell you what,
- 20:34Speaker 1: this election is going to be so ugly. Now, if
- 20:42Speaker 1: you know someone who's very anti Israel thinks it's overreacting,
- 20:46Speaker 1: tell them to come to the TV in five minutes
- 20:49Speaker 1: to watch what I've got to show, and let's see
- 20:51Speaker 1: if they still think that after this. Meanwhile, I've seen
- 20:55Speaker 1: the most disastrous election announcement ever a British primi, Sir
- 21:00Speaker 1: Rishi Sunake not called an early election, which is already
- 21:03Speaker 1: a bizarre decision given the polls put his Conservative party
- 21:06Speaker 1: more than twenty points behind Labor's heading for a smashing
- 21:10Speaker 1: But worse, he said that voters should back the way
- 21:12Speaker 1: that he's been managing stuff. At the same time, he's
- 21:15Speaker 1: shown that he couldn't even manage to check the weather
- 21:18Speaker 1: outside before holding a press conference out there without even
- 21:21Speaker 1: an umbrella, while a protest there was playing at full blast,
- 21:26Speaker 1: a sort of pro Labor ditty. Things can only get better.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Our economy is.
- 21:31Speaker 14: Now growing faster than anyone predicted, outpacing Germany, France and
- 21:35Speaker 14: the United States, and this morning it was confirmed that
- 21:39Speaker 14: inflation is back to normal. This means that the pressure
- 21:42Speaker 14: on prices will ease and mortgage rates will come down.
- 21:47Speaker 14: This is proof that the plan and priorities I sat
- 21:49Speaker 14: out are working well.
- 21:51Speaker 1: The front pages. Let sunek have it. You know it
- 21:53Speaker 1: can only get wetter and drown and out. Join me
- 21:57Speaker 1: from London's gb News presenter Patrick Christy's look. Patrick, I've
- 22:02Speaker 1: got to say, what a stupid way to an announce
- 22:05Speaker 1: an election.
- 22:07Speaker 7: Absolutely appalling.
- 22:09Speaker 15: The idea that they couldn't even organize an umbrella or
- 22:11Speaker 15: a canopy or stop a bloke blaring a song at
- 22:14Speaker 15: in whilst it was happening does not bode well for
- 22:17Speaker 15: the quality of this Conservative campaign, but it is symptomatic
- 22:20Speaker 15: of the kind of government, unfortunately, that we have had
- 22:23Speaker 15: in recent history. He also chose to start his speech
- 22:26Speaker 15: by reminding us all of that time the government locked
- 22:29Speaker 15: us down for ages and smashed our economy to pieces
- 22:32Speaker 15: with things like the furlough scheme.
- 22:33Speaker 7: So that was an odd way to begin.
- 22:36Speaker 15: But then things only got worse for the Prime Minister
- 22:38Speaker 15: heavy rainfall. Things have actually got worse today as well,
- 22:42Speaker 15: because it's emerged that the net migration numbers are out.
- 22:45Speaker 15: They came out over here in the last half an
- 22:47Speaker 15: hour or so. They are are around six hundred and
- 22:51Speaker 15: eighty thousand people a year in twenty twenty three. That
- 22:56Speaker 15: is down from a record level of seven hundred and
- 23:00Speaker 15: sixty thousand people, still astonishingly high.
- 23:03Speaker 7: All of this under a Conservative government. There is one
- 23:05Speaker 7: saving grace.
- 23:06Speaker 15: Though, Andrew at Nigel Farage in the last hour has
- 23:10Speaker 15: announced that he will not be standing against the Conservatives
- 23:15Speaker 15: at the next election, so Nigel Prade will not be
- 23:17Speaker 15: doing that. The other question about all of this is
- 23:19Speaker 15: the timing of this election.
- 23:21Speaker 7: Andrew.
- 23:21Speaker 15: We've got the Euros football, the Glastonbury Music Festival, school
- 23:25Speaker 15: holidays up in Scotland and crucially I've had to cancel
- 23:29Speaker 15: my honeymoon.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Patrick. I'm so sorry for you. That's bad luck. But
- 23:38Speaker 1: let me take you back to the to Nigel Farag.
- 23:42Speaker 1: He of course is the Brixit, the former bridget leader
- 23:45Speaker 1: his Reform Party was hoping to make some gains. But
- 23:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think the polls were shown
- 23:50Speaker 1: they'd win a single seat because this winner take up.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You know, there's no preference swapping with your system as
- 23:58Speaker 1: first past the post. Why would he rule himself out?
- 24:04Speaker 15: Well, I think Andrew the opportunity to go and earn
- 24:09Speaker 15: quite a bit of money, and dare I say, prestige
- 24:12Speaker 15: following Donald Trump around America for the American election campaign
- 24:16Speaker 15: is maybe a little bit more appealing than campaigning in
- 24:20Speaker 15: wet and windy market towns in northern England.
- 24:22Speaker 7: And so therefore I think Nigel Branch has made a decision.
- 24:25Speaker 15: That might only suit his skin, tan his bank balance,
- 24:28Speaker 15: but also maybe also his prestige in that sense. I
- 24:33Speaker 15: think there is also a sense generally, Andrew that let
- 24:36Speaker 15: the Tories just suffer a massive kicking at the hands
- 24:39Speaker 15: of labor. Let labor run this country into the ground
- 24:42Speaker 15: for a couple of years everybody sees what a labor
- 24:44Speaker 15: government might actually look like, and then there could be
- 24:47Speaker 15: the opportunity for some kind of re emergence of a
- 24:50Speaker 15: quote unquote truly conservative party in Britain. I mean, that's
- 24:54Speaker 15: a long game, isn't it, And unfortunately we all have
- 24:56Speaker 15: to suffer in order for that to happen. But maybe
- 24:59Speaker 15: that is best thing for the country in the long run.
- 25:03Speaker 1: So why did Richie sune with the Poles as they
- 25:07Speaker 1: are right saying this is sunshine hine with reth you
- 25:12Speaker 1: are going to be absolutely hammered if you go now
- 25:17Speaker 1: and it's gone now.
- 25:18Speaker 15: Why yeah, look the other breaking news about this last
- 25:22Speaker 15: night was unbelievable. Andrew, which was that conservative MP's last
- 25:27Speaker 15: night after he denounced the election, tried to submit letters
- 25:31Speaker 15: of no confidence in him to get him sacked to
- 25:33Speaker 15: stop the election.
- 25:35Speaker 7: It is a complete past.
- 25:37Speaker 15: He's done it because in his view, I think he
- 25:40Speaker 15: saw inflation was down to Miss Lewes's level for three years.
- 25:43Speaker 15: I think he saw that other European countries are now
- 25:46Speaker 15: trying to copy our Rwanda plan, which gives that a
- 25:48Speaker 15: bit of a boost.
- 25:49Speaker 7: Isn't it really invasive Labor? Who will reverse all of that?
- 25:52Speaker 15: I do think you just thought, look, this is, believe
- 25:55Speaker 15: it or not, as good as he's going to get.
- 25:57Speaker 15: The other very cynical aspect of all of this that
- 26:00Speaker 15: he's just had enough. Actually he's just had enough, and
- 26:03Speaker 15: he thinks, you know what, let's just go to the
- 26:05Speaker 15: country and put us all out of our misery. He
- 26:07Speaker 15: could have gone for a longer campaign and let the
- 26:10Speaker 15: Labor Party decide to eat itself apart. In the last week,
- 26:13Speaker 15: the Labor Party has decided to make it easier to
- 26:16Speaker 15: change gender so that would be more blows of women's
- 26:18Speaker 15: changing rooms, and then decided to make an enemy of Israel.
- 26:21Speaker 15: So those are two things that the Conservative Party can
- 26:24Speaker 15: hammer labor with already.
- 26:26Speaker 7: So we'll see what comes.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Out, Yes we will, indeed, but gee, the owners who
- 26:33Speaker 1: are terrible. But as said Song was saying, as Richie
- 26:36Speaker 1: Sooner was standing with in the rain, you know things
- 26:40Speaker 1: can only get better from here. But maybe not, maybe not.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Maybe it's going to prove us wrong there. Petrochristies, thank
- 26:46Speaker 1: you so much for your time after the break something.
- 26:52Speaker 1: All those anti Israel students out there attacking Israel, defending
- 26:57Speaker 1: even her mass something, they should see footage of five
- 27:01Speaker 1: Israeli teenage women captured by Hamas. Watch this, you may
- 27:07Speaker 1: understand exactly why Israel does have to fight. Okay, I
- 27:16Speaker 1: want now to show you some video just release that
- 27:19Speaker 1: should end so many lies and so much denial, will it.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Many anti Israel protests seem totally ignorant of the evil
- 27:28Speaker 1: that Israel is confronting in this war in Gaza. They
- 27:31Speaker 1: don't seem to understand why it's such a crime for
- 27:35Speaker 1: our Prime minister to wait a couple of days before saying, well, actually,
- 27:38Speaker 1: there is no equivalence between the leader of Israel and
- 27:41Speaker 1: the leaders of Hamas. We even have leaders of the
- 27:45Speaker 1: student protests saying they support Hermas.
- 27:49Speaker 10: You've also got to send a message to Hamas to
- 27:51Speaker 10: release the hostages, don't you.
- 27:53Speaker 8: Well, I actually say that Hamas deserve our unconditional support,
- 27:58Speaker 8: not because I agree with the strategy.
- 28:00Speaker 16: You can't condemn what her mass did on October.
- 28:03Speaker 8: I will not condemn what ham As did. We must
- 28:04Speaker 8: be unconditional, but we must be critical also, right, No,
- 28:08Speaker 8: I did not condemn.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Now, I'm not sure people that that are evil. I
- 28:13Speaker 1: just think they're totally totally ignorant. So I hope that
- 28:18Speaker 1: those people and the students chanting Hamas calls the destroy
- 28:21Speaker 1: Israel from the river to the sea, at least look
- 28:24Speaker 1: at what I'm about to show you, and I hope
- 28:28Speaker 1: you help them to get to see it. You share
- 28:30Speaker 1: the YouTube clip or whatever. Now, caution, this is extremely
- 28:34Speaker 1: confronting video. I showed for only two reasons. One because
- 28:38Speaker 1: the families of the teenage girls shown here all the
- 28:41Speaker 1: girls are nineteen years old, want you to see it.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And two because it challenges those lies and those evasions. Now,
- 28:50Speaker 1: this is the moment. This video is of the moment
- 28:52Speaker 1: that Harmas Theis on October seven, captured five teenagers like
- 28:56Speaker 1: I say, all women of the Israeli army in a
- 29:00Speaker 1: raid on they were spotters. Apparently they killed the has
- 29:04Speaker 1: the Amasteris killed about sixty soldiers there. They had these
- 29:08Speaker 1: five girls and took them hostage. They are still hostages
- 29:12Speaker 1: or dead, we don't know. Eight months later, and once
- 29:26Speaker 1: again a caution, very confronting. This is how those of
- 29:29Speaker 1: US terrorists talk to and of these women. One film
- 29:34Speaker 1: was later filmed, and I certainly won't show you this
- 29:37Speaker 1: with the crutch of her pants filled with blood. Joining
- 30:03Speaker 1: me is the panel, James the First and Louis Eliot
- 30:05Speaker 1: business consultant, Hobert City councilor. James is of course one
- 30:09Speaker 1: of their hosts here on Sky News and doing terrific
- 30:14Speaker 1: stuff too. James, seeing the reality, you know that so
- 30:21Speaker 1: many people demonizing Israel are simply ignorant. That's my That's
- 30:26Speaker 1: what I'm hoping, Or am I wrong?
- 30:29Speaker 17: I think sadly, Andrew, you're wrong. I wish you were right,
- 30:32Speaker 17: because ignorance can be overcome with education. But I think
- 30:35Speaker 17: we've not got a problem for ignorance. We've got a
- 30:37Speaker 17: problem of people who are blinded by a lust for
- 30:40Speaker 17: power or blinded by a warped ideology or blinded by
- 30:44Speaker 17: bloody hatred. Labor politicians are not ignorant. Anthony Albaniez is
- 30:48Speaker 17: not ignorant. Penny Wong isn't ignorant. Ed Husick isn't ignorant.
- 30:51Speaker 17: They're simply blinded by a lust for power where they
- 30:54Speaker 17: honestly believe there's more votes in the Muslim community than
- 30:57Speaker 17: in the Jewish community, hence their support for a two
- 31:00Speaker 17: state solution while hostages are still being held. When it
- 31:04Speaker 17: comes to UNI students, they're blinded by a warped ideology
- 31:08Speaker 17: where they divide the whole world into oppressors and the oppressed,
- 31:12Speaker 17: and it's beyond their comprehension to imagine Jews as being victims.
- 31:16Speaker 17: It's not ignorance, it's ideology. And then we've got the
- 31:20Speaker 17: problem of just bloody hatred, which unfortunately is rife in Australia.
- 31:24Speaker 17: We saw right after October seven people rejoicing at the
- 31:28Speaker 17: attack on Jews on our own Sydney opera house. We've
- 31:31Speaker 17: had countless mms and preachers in Western Sydney celebrating and
- 31:37Speaker 17: glorying in those attacks. So I wish that you were right.
- 31:40Speaker 17: I wish it was ignorance, because then we could just
- 31:43Speaker 17: educate people and they would see clearly. But you can't
- 31:46Speaker 17: educate lust for power, warped ideology, or just bloody hatred.
- 31:51Speaker 17: Those things are much more difficult to overcome. And that's
- 31:54Speaker 17: the dilemma we've got.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Louise Elliott, what does that video tell you? Like I say,
- 32:01Speaker 1: those five nineteen year olds have not been seen since
- 32:05Speaker 1: one of them was filmed being apparently with her ankle
- 32:10Speaker 1: tendons slashed. I don't know what that means. I think
- 32:13Speaker 1: we can all guess. And the crutch of her pants
- 32:15Speaker 1: filled with blood was being loaded taken off a truck
- 32:21Speaker 1: that had brought her to Israel, to a gaza. What
- 32:25Speaker 1: do you take from this video?
- 32:29Speaker 18: Yes, I watched the full length of that video this
- 32:32Speaker 18: morning actually, and you've definitely actually chosen disturbingly some of
- 32:37Speaker 18: the milder scenes. The full video for me, is one
- 32:40Speaker 18: of those things that leaves a permanent imprint on your brain.
- 32:44Speaker 18: You will never not see what you have seen, and
- 32:47Speaker 18: from my perspective, a little bit of me, I guess,
- 32:50Speaker 18: died inside because you think this is not humans. These
- 32:53Speaker 18: are rabid animals doing something and they've lost all of
- 32:57Speaker 18: their humanity and see those girls and just to try
- 33:02Speaker 18: and it's just unfathomable what I saw, And like I say,
- 33:05Speaker 18: it makes me so sad. And it makes me even
- 33:07Speaker 18: sad that we have people who are unable. Like James said,
- 33:12Speaker 18: it's not really ignorance, they're almost they're putting ignorance aside.
- 33:17Speaker 18: They're determined not to see it, determined not to see
- 33:20Speaker 18: the absolute horrors that have unfolded, determined not to see
- 33:23Speaker 18: that Israel have no choice but to defend themselves and
- 33:28Speaker 18: eradicate this persistent threat and look what they had done
- 33:32Speaker 18: to their people. I encourage people to have a look
- 33:37Speaker 18: at it if you can, because the realities of what's
- 33:39Speaker 18: happening we need to know about and it needs to
- 33:42Speaker 18: be shared.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yes, I think I need to add one more piece
- 33:46Speaker 1: of that picture. The commanders of those terrorists you saw
- 33:50Speaker 1: have said, while Hamas is there, they will try to
- 33:54Speaker 1: do this again and again and again to Israel. So
- 33:58Speaker 1: while a mus lives, this is their objective James's showed
- 34:03Speaker 1: earlier in the show. The Premister came up with a
- 34:05Speaker 1: bizarre excuse for not saying two days ago that the
- 34:07Speaker 1: International Criminal Court was wrong, that no the leaders of
- 34:11Speaker 1: Israel and the leaders of US were not birds of
- 34:13Speaker 1: a feather. They were not morally equivalent. Just the repeater's
- 34:18Speaker 1: excuse here, it.
- 34:19Speaker 6: Is I got asked an optious question.
- 34:24Speaker 1: He wasn't James asked an obscure questions asked very direct one.
- 34:29Speaker 1: If you agree with Joe Budden the International Criminal Court
- 34:31Speaker 1: decision was outrageous, what do you make of his leadership here?
- 34:35Speaker 17: Well, I wish I could make something of his leadership,
- 34:37Speaker 17: but there's not much leadership to make anything of Andrew.
- 34:40Speaker 17: If it wasn't for the opposition leader Peter Dutton, I
- 34:42Speaker 17: don't think we'd have any leadership in this country. It's
- 34:45Speaker 17: Peter Dutton who's provided leadership when it comes to anti Semitism,
- 34:48Speaker 17: when it comes to immigration, when it comes to the border,
- 34:51Speaker 17: when it comes to crime and order, and on and
- 34:53Speaker 17: on we could go. Anthony Elbanezi is looking more and
- 34:56Speaker 17: more like someone whose sole objective was to get into power,
- 35:00Speaker 17: and now he's there, he's only objective is to retain power.
- 35:03Speaker 17: So we've got a massive vacuum of leadership in this
- 35:06Speaker 17: country and it's showing we've got chaos everywhere and that
- 35:10Speaker 17: the problem is always leadership and the solution is always leadership.
- 35:14Speaker 17: The sooner we get a leader in the lodge, the
- 35:16Speaker 17: better our country will be, because we sure as hell
- 35:18Speaker 17: don't have a leader right now.
- 35:21Speaker 1: UIs Elia.
- 35:24Speaker 18: I wholeheartedly agree with James from my perspective. I've been
- 35:28Speaker 18: around forty odd years, about twenty of those I've cared
- 35:30Speaker 18: about politics, and I can hand on heart say that
- 35:34Speaker 18: mister Aberizi is the worst prime minister we've ever had.
- 35:36Speaker 18: In my opinion. I'm prepared to give credit where credits due,
- 35:40Speaker 18: regardless of the political stripe, and I've been looking for
- 35:43Speaker 18: opportunities to think, Okay, he's stepped up and he's done
- 35:46Speaker 18: a good job there, But to be honest, it's failure
- 35:48Speaker 18: after failure, and they're getting more and more morally repugnant.
- 35:52Speaker 18: He's pathetic and I cannot wait till the next election.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I had a bit to do with Anthony Albanize before
- 36:00Speaker 1: he became Labor leader, and I liked him. I still
- 36:03Speaker 1: think he'd be a good bloke. But I am so
- 36:05Speaker 1: bitterly disappointed. Jameson First and the wis Eliot, thank you
- 36:09Speaker 1: both for your time after the break. Were you just
- 36:12Speaker 1: when you think Trump haters couldn't get any lower. They
- 36:16Speaker 1: make a film just premiered in the Calm Film Festival
- 36:20Speaker 1: showing Donald Trump raping his then wife. That's my book
- 36:23Speaker 1: of the week though, French genius who describes to France
- 36:26Speaker 1: under a Muslim president, this man his guts. Every time
- 36:35Speaker 1: you wonder how low the left can go to destroy
- 36:37Speaker 1: Donald Trump, the answer is even lower. The left s ysteria,
- 36:41Speaker 1: particularly from the media and showbiz. Look, it is sick.
- 36:45Speaker 1: There were already, you know, the fake claim spread even
- 36:48Speaker 1: by the FBI that Trump colluded with a Russia to
- 36:50Speaker 1: steal the election that made him present. Well, as you
- 36:52Speaker 1: know now totally false, huge investigation false. There are four
- 36:56Speaker 1: criminal cases launched by Democrat prosecutors now to try to
- 36:59Speaker 1: knock Trump out the race before the November election. There's
- 37:02Speaker 1: also now today a new film just premiered him come
- 37:08Speaker 1: again to destroy Donald Trump.
- 37:11Speaker 2: It's the movie Donald Trump does not want you to see.
- 37:14Speaker 2: It's called The Apprentice, and it's about Trump's rise to
- 37:18Speaker 2: power in the nineteen eighties.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Now, the big claim in this movie, the big money
- 37:23Speaker 1: scene is this a scene so brutal that people in
- 37:27Speaker 1: the audience even complained.
- 37:29Speaker 2: But the most disturbing scene is where Trump is portrayed
- 37:32Speaker 2: raping Evanna, a scene so violent it drew audible gasps
- 37:37Speaker 2: from the audience and Can.
- 37:40Speaker 1: In fact, Donald Trump denies there was any rape of
- 37:43Speaker 1: his then wife Vanna and Sony Devana before her death.
- 37:47Speaker 1: She actually said the story is totally without merit. On
- 37:50Speaker 1: one occasion during nineteen eighty nine, mister Trump and I
- 37:52Speaker 1: had marital relationship which you behave very differently towards me
- 37:55Speaker 1: than he had during our marriage. As a woman, I
- 37:58Speaker 1: felt violated as a loved tenderness which you normally exhibited
- 38:01Speaker 1: towards me was absent. I refer to this as right.
- 38:03Speaker 1: This was during a tense divorce where things get said,
- 38:07Speaker 1: but I do not want my words to be interpreted
- 38:09Speaker 1: in a literal or criminal sense. Joining me now is
- 38:14Speaker 1: Sean Spicer, the first White House spokesman for Donald Trump
- 38:18Speaker 1: as president. Sean Spicer, thank you for your time. What
- 38:21Speaker 1: do you make of this film?
- 38:24Speaker 19: Well, from the little that I've seen of it, at
- 38:26Speaker 19: least the anecdotes that have come out of the Can's
- 38:28Speaker 19: Film Festival, it sounds like another attempt to attack Donald Trump.
- 38:31Speaker 16: It doesn't surprise me.
- 38:34Speaker 19: Look, they've thrown everything but the kitchen sink at him
- 38:37Speaker 19: since twenty sixteen, and the levels to which they sink
- 38:41Speaker 19: Andrew never ceased to amaze me. These false allegations that
- 38:46Speaker 19: come up in this and I get that they'll say
- 38:47Speaker 19: that it's quasi fictional, but they know exactly what they're doing.
- 38:51Speaker 19: They're releasing this at a critical time in the US
- 38:53Speaker 19: election and trying to hurt him among women voters.
- 39:00Speaker 1: Did you see the relations between Donald Trump and his
- 39:02Speaker 1: then wife, Ivana or x wife.
- 39:04Speaker 19: Sorry, Look, the times that I saw them interact were
- 39:08Speaker 19: on the phone when he was president.
- 39:10Speaker 16: She called a few times. That was it.
- 39:13Speaker 19: There was always cordial and from what I understand, they
- 39:15Speaker 19: maintained a very cordial relationship. But as far as some
- 39:19Speaker 19: of the accusations that they try to make in this film,
- 39:22Speaker 19: you know, the court record is clear as to what
- 39:27Speaker 19: missus Trump meant by what she said at the time,
- 39:30Speaker 19: and the idea that these filmmakers are trying to twist
- 39:33Speaker 19: a situation clearly to affect the outcome of the election
- 39:36Speaker 19: is pretty pathetic.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Yeah, that never makes such a film about Barack Obama
- 39:42Speaker 1: or something.
- 39:43Speaker 19: I mean, it's just so well, but I I would
- 39:45Speaker 19: just say, not just not just Barack.
- 39:47Speaker 16: Obama, Andrew.
- 39:48Speaker 19: But you think about these allegations that have come out
- 39:51Speaker 19: against President Biden by a woman named Tara Reid. There's
- 39:55Speaker 19: pretty disgusting allegations that have been leaked from his daughter Ashley's.
- 40:00Speaker 16: Diary, that they have substantiated as hers.
- 40:03Speaker 19: And yet no one in the media will barely ask
- 40:06Speaker 19: a question, never mind validate the truthfulness that's in the
- 40:11Speaker 19: diary of his own daughter. And yet here we go
- 40:14Speaker 19: with another salacious attempt to smear Donald Trump. So it's
- 40:17Speaker 19: actually it's one thing if there's a credible charge in
- 40:21Speaker 19: the case of Joe Biden.
- 40:21Speaker 16: I mean, you mentioned Barack Obama. But in the case
- 40:23Speaker 16: of Joe Biden.
- 40:24Speaker 19: There's a lot of stuff out there that no one
- 40:26Speaker 19: will even discuss. It's almost taboo to bring up the subjects.
- 40:30Speaker 19: And yet they'll go out and sensationalize something in which
- 40:32Speaker 19: they have an actual court record for when it comes
- 40:35Speaker 19: to Donald Trump, because they know that it'll sell.
- 40:40Speaker 1: Meanwhile, the one criminal case the go to court so far,
- 40:45Speaker 1: a case against Donald Trump, it seems to have exploded
- 40:48Speaker 1: in the face of the prosecutors over the last few days.
- 40:51Speaker 1: This was a claim, of course of Donald Trump falsified.
- 40:54Speaker 1: Book by claiming payments is legal expenses when he was
- 40:58Speaker 1: in fact literally paying hush money upon star Stormy Daniels,
- 41:02Speaker 1: so you wouldn't talk about their alleged one night of fear.
- 41:05Speaker 1: The payments allegedly went through Michael Cohen is then lawyer
- 41:10Speaker 1: in the prosecution style witness, but Sean relying on Cohen's
- 41:14Speaker 1: evidence stands out to have been perhaps a big, big mistake.
- 41:19Speaker 16: Oh absolutely so. Two points on this. First, on the
- 41:21Speaker 16: legal front.
- 41:23Speaker 19: Look, this is a misdemeanor offense in the state of
- 41:26Speaker 19: New York.
- 41:26Speaker 16: Number one. Number two, the.
- 41:28Speaker 19: Statue of limitations how long you can charge someone for
- 41:31Speaker 19: that crime has well expired.
- 41:33Speaker 16: This was something that.
- 41:33Speaker 19: Occurred in twenty fifteen, so in a normal scenario they
- 41:37Speaker 19: wouldn't been able to charge him. They're making it in
- 41:40Speaker 19: what they consider to be furtherance of another crime.
- 41:43Speaker 16: This is the thing that you need.
- 41:44Speaker 19: To understand and every one of your views in Australia,
- 41:47Speaker 19: they've yet to actually reveal in court what that crime is.
- 41:51Speaker 19: So they're charging him with a misdemeanor. They're saying it'll
- 41:54Speaker 19: ultimately end up a felony because it is combined with
- 41:57Speaker 19: another charge.
- 41:59Speaker 16: Well, I've I'm not a lawyer.
- 42:01Speaker 19: But I've never heard of a scenario where they can
- 42:03Speaker 19: charge you for something and not tell you what you're
- 42:05Speaker 19: being charged for. Now, let's get to your point about
- 42:08Speaker 19: Michael Cohen, the prosecution so card, so called star witness.
- 42:12Speaker 16: There were two things that stood out to me this week.
- 42:15Speaker 19: Number One, Cohen admitted under oath that he stole money
- 42:20Speaker 19: from the Trump organization.
- 42:21Speaker 16: Number Two, his initial.
- 42:23Speaker 19: Lawyer that he hired, he said, I never hired him before.
- 42:26Speaker 19: Then the prosecution brings forward an email where Cohen says,
- 42:29Speaker 19: welcome to my team. So he has had his credibility
- 42:33Speaker 19: blown wide open, and that's the only thing that the
- 42:36Speaker 19: prosecution has going for him. But keep in mind, if
- 42:39Speaker 19: your star witness is a convicted perjurer, a convicted liar,
- 42:44Speaker 19: and then gets caught lying more about their lies on
- 42:47Speaker 19: the stand, I don't think that's a great place for
- 42:50Speaker 19: the prosecution to be. The only thing that is saving
- 42:54Speaker 19: this case for the prosecution is the fact that it's
- 42:56Speaker 19: happening in Manhattan, New York, where ninety percent of the
- 43:02Speaker 19: jury pool is Democrats. And I think the question is,
- 43:05Speaker 19: does anybody on that jury pool think about following the law?
- 43:09Speaker 19: Are they so eager to be part of an effort
- 43:11Speaker 19: to get Donald Trump that they're going to throw the
- 43:13Speaker 19: law aside. Because anybody who's taken you know, six grade
- 43:18Speaker 19: classes would know that what this prosecution has presented doesn't
- 43:23Speaker 19: amount to anything illegal.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I know, I would think normally that'd be a case
- 43:29Speaker 1: thrown out of court, even if it made it in
- 43:31Speaker 1: the first place. But still, But the funny thing is Sean,
- 43:35Speaker 1: despite everything, everything thrown at Donald Trump, it just seems
- 43:40Speaker 1: to go get more popular. I mean, I've been seeing
- 43:42Speaker 1: the crowds lying in the streets watch Trump go to
- 43:45Speaker 1: and from the court is obliged, he is forced to
- 43:47Speaker 1: go every day. Get him off the campaign trail. But
- 43:50Speaker 1: I see, I've seen some polls lately say, wait a minute,
- 43:54Speaker 1: Joe Biden is now narrowing the gap. Trump was a wirehead,
- 43:59Speaker 1: But Joe Biden is now narrowing that gap.
- 44:02Speaker 12: Is he.
- 44:05Speaker 16: In some states? Sure? He's also Remember we don't run.
- 44:07Speaker 19: National elections, so the media will love to flash these
- 44:10Speaker 19: national polls saying, you know, it was Trump forty nine,
- 44:13Speaker 19: Biden forty three. Now it's forty eight to forty four.
- 44:16Speaker 19: But we don't run a national election.
- 44:17Speaker 16: We run an.
- 44:18Speaker 19: Election by states that have electoral votes. You need two
- 44:21Speaker 19: hundred and seventy to win in America, and right now,
- 44:23Speaker 19: among what we call the battle ground states, the seven
- 44:26Speaker 19: states that are really going to decide this, that amounts
- 44:29Speaker 19: to about ninety four electoral votes. Trump is leading in
- 44:32Speaker 19: every single one of them. Now, Biden has closed the
- 44:35Speaker 19: gap in a couple but remember Trump only needs to
- 44:38Speaker 19: win a handful of them to become president.
- 44:40Speaker 16: Again, that's the problem for Biden.
- 44:41Speaker 19: They need to have a clean sweep of those and
- 44:43Speaker 19: they're not going to get it right now. But to
- 44:46Speaker 19: your point, Andrew, and this is important. You showed those
- 44:48Speaker 19: crowds that the more that the prosecution and the Democrats
- 44:52Speaker 19: and the media and Hollywood and corporate America go over
- 44:55Speaker 19: the top to get this, it really strengthens the result.
- 45:00Speaker 19: So many voters who might not have been with Donald
- 45:02Speaker 19: Trump would say, gosh, I don't like the system. I
- 45:05Speaker 19: don't like the idea that the media and Hollywood and
- 45:08Speaker 19: corporate America is trying to lock this election.
- 45:11Speaker 16: They've done it again.
- 45:12Speaker 19: Big tech did it last time by censoring certain you know,
- 45:15Speaker 19: Hunter Biden's laptop and trying to excuse search results and
- 45:18Speaker 19: shadow ban other people. The reality is is that the
- 45:22Speaker 19: American people are tired of having these corporate orvilords try
- 45:25Speaker 19: to dictate who does better and who doesn't and put
- 45:28Speaker 19: their finger on the scale. So I think you're seeing
- 45:31Speaker 19: the result of that by more people saying, look at you,
- 45:34Speaker 19: guys have gone way over the top in your efforts
- 45:36Speaker 19: to get Donald Trump. I remember what it was like
- 45:38Speaker 19: under four years of him, and I know what's going
- 45:40Speaker 19: on now.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Sean. Spot's always great to talk to you. Thank you
- 45:45Speaker 1: so much for your time you met Andrew. This is
- 45:53Speaker 1: actually my last day for five weeks. I'm off, so
- 45:59Speaker 1: I felt quite called upon to leave you with a
- 46:02Speaker 1: great whiskey and a great book to be getting on
- 46:04Speaker 1: with now. The whiskey is about the loveliest Peter whiskey,
- 46:09Speaker 1: Lagavulin sixteen years, very smoky yet really smooth. You know
- 46:14Speaker 1: people are scared of very smoky whiskey. The sherry really
- 46:17Speaker 1: comes through. It is perfect for winter. Brian Cox, you
- 46:20Speaker 1: know him from Succession, the actor, the Scottish actor who
- 46:24Speaker 1: says it's the cognac of whiskeys and is right. As
- 46:28Speaker 1: for the book, it's perfect for these times. Submission by
- 46:33Speaker 1: Michelle Wellbeck. I'm a huge fan of Michelle Wellbeck. And
- 46:36Speaker 1: as usual you can go to the Robinson's Bookshop website,
- 46:39Speaker 1: where you'll find links to my book tips, including this one.
- 46:42Speaker 1: They've got on they've ordered it in for you now.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Well Beck, as I say, a huge fan of his,
- 46:48Speaker 1: Here's francis most honored, probably most successful literary author. Despite
- 46:53Speaker 1: being put on trial for insulting Islam, the actually one
- 46:56Speaker 1: in the end. In this book, though submission, well Beck
- 47:01Speaker 1: doesn't insult Islam. He praises it kind of. He imagines
- 47:05Speaker 1: a Muslim president becoming the president of France and what
- 47:09Speaker 1: follows next and what actually it all turns out quite
- 47:11Speaker 1: all right for his main character, as a French academic,
- 47:15Speaker 1: one of the typical well Beck characters, has lost all
- 47:18Speaker 1: zest for life, that meaning in it right, likes mindless
- 47:23Speaker 1: sex and all that. But he does appreciate how Islam
- 47:26Speaker 1: puts men in charge of women. He loves the polygamy.
- 47:29Speaker 1: That's a pity, of course for his Jewish girlfriend. She
- 47:31Speaker 1: said to flee to Israel. But sucking up to the
- 47:34Speaker 1: Muslim leadership has its rewards for him and his colleagues.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. You may not be surprised to
- 47:40Speaker 1: hear this is a massive, massive bestseller in France and
- 47:43Speaker 1: also in Germany. I don't think he's in all that
- 47:48Speaker 1: sort of promoted in Australia, which probably is not surprising
- 47:52Speaker 1: given the publishing scene here. I mean, can you imagine
- 47:55Speaker 1: Australian author daring to write this? Can you imagine Australian
- 47:58Speaker 1: publisher ring to publish it? And I wonder how many
- 48:02Speaker 1: bookshops actually promote Michelle Wellbeck. But the good news is
- 48:04Speaker 1: and Rums's books up website you can find it. Well.
- 48:10Speaker 1: I will be off to let you know. One thing
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'll be doing is another pilgrimage. Fang off my great
- 48:17Speaker 1: hero can see his gravesite, sir, I hope what a
- 48:21Speaker 1: great story is. I must do a program on that
- 48:23Speaker 1: one day, and also pay homage to Cardinal George pell Gee,
- 48:27Speaker 1: you don't you miss people that so cultured since the
- 48:30Speaker 1: history alas gone. I'm going to see something to do
- 48:34Speaker 1: with him. I'll tell you about it later. That's it
- 48:36Speaker 1: from me, goodbye, and now it's Sharry Markson
