- 0:03Speaker 1: Here we go our number two. Hosey over there in
- 0:06Speaker 1: Study one A. I'm here in Study one B. It's Monday,
- 0:08Speaker 1: November third, show fifty four eighty six of The Morning
- 0:13Speaker 1: Show with Preston Scott. Great to be with you. Friends.
- 0:15Speaker 1: We were introduced to this gentleman a long time ago
- 0:18Speaker 1: when his book Inconvenient Facts came out I got to
- 0:21Speaker 1: know Greg Wrightstone a little bit, and we've had him
- 0:24Speaker 1: as a guest on the program ever since. A second
- 0:27Speaker 1: book followed, A very Convenient Warming, and he is the
- 0:32Speaker 1: executive director of the CO two Coalition. Greg. Good to
- 0:35Speaker 1: have you back on the show. How are you, friend?
- 0:37Speaker 2: Good? And I have good news to report from the
- 0:40Speaker 2: climate change front. We are winning bigly. That is good. Well.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I you know, I called because I talked about you
- 0:50Speaker 1: last week when I saw the story in Epic Times
- 0:53Speaker 1: about Bill Gates. I won't call it a onet eighty.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'll say it's one forty five. Is that fair? He
- 0:59Speaker 1: did a one?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah. He went about as far as you could expect
- 1:04Speaker 2: him to go by by what we're talking about here
- 1:06Speaker 2: is his near retraction of climate crisis. He says, you know,
- 1:10Speaker 2: I was wrong about this. You know, he says we'll
- 1:15Speaker 2: have serious consequences, but you know what, We're all going
- 1:18Speaker 2: to survive. People will be able to thrive and live
- 1:23Speaker 2: in nearly every climate. It's not going to be the
- 1:26Speaker 2: catastrophe that I've been talking about for the last thirty years.
- 1:29Speaker 2: And so this is a huge, huge reversal. And bear
- 1:34Speaker 2: in mind Bill Gates has been funding to the tunes
- 1:37Speaker 2: of hundreds of millions of dollars some of these many
- 1:40Speaker 2: other groups, and he's pulling his funding on some of these.
- 1:44Speaker 2: And one of those one of those organizations actually is
- 1:48Speaker 2: pulled from is the Breakthrough Institute. Ted Northhouse was the
- 1:53Speaker 2: founder there and he also almost I think it was
- 1:56Speaker 2: the day before the Gates came out. Ed Northhouse probably
- 2:00Speaker 2: never heard of him, but he was a huge climate alarmist,
- 2:04Speaker 2: and oh yeah, I said just about the same thing
- 2:06Speaker 2: he said, you know. And then following on to that,
- 2:10Speaker 2: we had interviews on Joe Rogan with our founder will
- 2:14Speaker 2: Have for doctor William Haffer and Richard Lyndzon the two
- 2:18Speaker 2: hours on Rogan that reached probably twenty million people talking
- 2:23Speaker 2: about the realities of climate change and how it's beneficial
- 2:27Speaker 2: not catastrophic.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Well, and then it still gets back down to you know,
- 2:31Speaker 1: we were just talking about a story greg In Maryland
- 2:35Speaker 1: Supreme Court is taking on a case brought by the
- 2:38Speaker 1: Council of Baltimore, the mayor and the city Council against
- 2:41Speaker 1: BP and they're claiming, you know, fossil fuels, climate change
- 2:44Speaker 1: costing all this damage, sea level rise, extreme weather, et cetera,
- 2:49Speaker 1: et cetera, et cetera. But what we constantly see is
- 2:52Speaker 1: none of the dire predictions, none of them happened. They
- 2:56Speaker 1: don't come true.
- 2:58Speaker 2: They don't. You know, we have to wonder now why
- 3:01Speaker 2: Gates and Nordhouse and these others are moving back. And
- 3:05Speaker 2: I've been saying now for decades. You know, eventually the
- 3:09Speaker 2: truth will win out, and it always does. It just
- 3:12Speaker 2: might take longer than we would like. And I think
- 3:15Speaker 2: we're seeing that today. Like you say, the predictions they
- 3:18Speaker 2: make all false, are note of them put pan out,
- 3:21Speaker 2: and they continue doing it. Just last week about the
- 3:24Speaker 2: Great Barrier Reef. I'll be writing about that in the
- 3:27Speaker 2: newsletter this week, claiming that eighty percent of coral reefs
- 3:31Speaker 2: around the world are dying and nothing could be further
- 3:33Speaker 2: from the truth. The Great Barrier Reef in twenty twenty
- 3:37Speaker 2: four had the largest they started doing these surveys in
- 3:41Speaker 2: nineteen eighty three. In twenty twenty four, I had the
- 3:44Speaker 2: largest amount of coral that they've surveyed, breaking records of
- 3:50Speaker 2: healthy corals and the Great Barrier ief. But they're saying
- 3:52Speaker 2: just the opposite. They're lying, and they've been able to
- 3:56Speaker 2: lie and get away with it for decades.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Now.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Hopefully that will altern around and we can expose and
- 4:02Speaker 2: we've been, you know, with your help, we've we've been
- 4:05Speaker 2: exposing some of their lives. But hopefully when we'll get
- 4:10Speaker 2: a big, big, big turnaround here and Gates can pulse
- 4:13Speaker 2: them in his funding like he is now, maybe some
- 4:16Speaker 2: of this climate rhetoric will be toned down and we'll
- 4:19Speaker 2: get the truth out there.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Back with geologists, Author and executive director of the CO
- 4:31Speaker 1: two Coalition, Greg Ridestone. Greg by trade, you you study
- 4:36Speaker 1: things in a very different world that takes a lot
- 4:40Speaker 1: of time, and yet you find yourself sort of steering
- 4:45Speaker 1: a coalition of scientists and experts that recognize that this
- 4:51Speaker 1: this move using what I call global warming as a vehicle.
- 4:57Speaker 1: We don't have time. We have to push because the
- 5:00Speaker 1: transformation to our economy and our culture has been pretty dramatic,
- 5:06Speaker 1: given it's been built on myths, it is.
- 5:10Speaker 2: But you know what, boy, ever since Trump came in,
- 5:15Speaker 2: it's just been a u turn and we've been seeing
- 5:18Speaker 2: really really good things coming out of Washington, d C.
- 5:20Speaker 2: I never thought I would say that again after years
- 5:24Speaker 2: of the Biden administration just heaping one climate nonsense factoid
- 5:30Speaker 2: or non factoid onto another and imposing regulations and over
- 5:35Speaker 2: regulations on us. Chris Wright, it's the Department of Energy,
- 5:39Speaker 2: Lee Zelden at EPA. Boy, they're really really, really pushing back.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And here at the CO two Coalition we're working. We
- 5:49Speaker 2: provide the science, the facts and the data in support
- 5:52Speaker 2: of what Zeldm and Wright are doing. And even Chris
- 5:55Speaker 2: Duffiet or a Sean Duffy at the Department of Transportation,
- 6:00Speaker 2: we'll be filing a comment coming up on transportation issues.
- 6:05Speaker 2: And so that's our role as scientists. We stay out
- 6:08Speaker 2: of the politics as best we can. It's hard to
- 6:11Speaker 2: with this subject matter, but we supply that the facts
- 6:15Speaker 2: and the data is to support this. And we've got
- 6:17Speaker 2: to Our senior legal counsel is Chuck Weller, who's devised
- 6:22Speaker 2: to a great legal strategy using science and when we
- 6:26Speaker 2: file these comments for the EPA and Department of Energy
- 6:31Speaker 2: for their deregulation. These are all filed and created with
- 6:36Speaker 2: the expectation that it will eventually be heard at the
- 6:40Speaker 2: Supreme Court, because what they will do there's this called
- 6:42Speaker 2: the endangerment finding. Each of these repeals will go through
- 6:48Speaker 2: and then it will be sued by the Environmental Defense
- 6:51Speaker 2: Fund or whoever, and then it'll go to the Fifth
- 6:53Speaker 2: Circuit Court of DC that will rule in favor of
- 6:56Speaker 2: the alarmists, and then DOE or EPA will will appeal
- 7:00Speaker 2: that and ends up the Supreme Court. So our comments
- 7:05Speaker 2: and our science are all designed to be used so
- 7:09Speaker 2: it can be in support of the Supreme Court overturning
- 7:13Speaker 2: some of the previous really really bad rulings under both
- 7:17Speaker 2: Obama and Bid deministrations their epas. Because they've regulated, they
- 7:22Speaker 2: have systematically stripped freedoms away from everyone listening to this
- 7:27Speaker 2: this morning. You don't know the freedom to choose what
- 7:30Speaker 2: kind of light bulbs to use. Dishwashers, washer dryers, even
- 7:35Speaker 2: your ceiling fans are highly regulated. They're more expensive. They're
- 7:40Speaker 2: not more they say, for example, dishwasher precedent new dishwashers,
- 7:46Speaker 2: they say they're highly efficient. Well, i'll tell you what
- 7:50Speaker 2: the government's definition of efficient is a lot different than
- 7:54Speaker 2: my wife's definition. The government says they're using less electricity
- 7:58Speaker 2: and less water. That might be true. My wife's definition
- 8:01Speaker 2: of a good dishwasher is one that gets the dishes
- 8:04Speaker 2: cleaned and dried in thirty minutes or less, and we
- 8:08Speaker 2: don't have that now. These are now two and a
- 8:10Speaker 2: half to three and sometimes four hour cycles for a dishwasher,
- 8:14Speaker 2: all to save a couple of a couple little bit
- 8:17Speaker 2: of electricity and water.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Greg, you talk about the dam maybe possibly starting to break,
- 8:25Speaker 1: Is there one particular case, one particular regulation, one thing
- 8:30Speaker 1: that you're looking at that could be that part of
- 8:33Speaker 1: the dam that really opens it up.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Oh, yes, yes, yes, it's already. They've already. It's the
- 8:39Speaker 2: card we've got the stack of cards or house of cards.
- 8:43Speaker 2: When we pull this one out, the whole house of
- 8:45Speaker 2: cards collapse. It's called the endangerment finding under the Obama
- 8:49Speaker 2: EPA in two thousand and nine, they found that the
- 8:52Speaker 2: carbon dioxide was a pollutant and could be regulated. It's
- 8:56Speaker 2: not a pollutant, No, it's not. And so this is
- 9:00Speaker 2: we filed comments were open. We filed two separate comments,
- 9:05Speaker 2: and bear in mind these comments need to be reviewed
- 9:09Speaker 2: by EPA and consideration of the repeal of this rule.
- 9:13Speaker 2: They need any any sufficient comment that's filed, they have
- 9:18Speaker 2: to consider it. And so we'll be using that and
- 9:21Speaker 2: that will eventually be used in the Supreme Court. And
- 9:24Speaker 2: so it's going through the it's gone through the comment process.
- 9:27Speaker 2: E p. A is in the process of going through
- 9:30Speaker 2: the thousands of comments that were filed, and I anticipate
- 9:34Speaker 2: at some point over the next few months E p.
- 9:36Speaker 2: A and Lee Zelda and will come out and say,
- 9:38Speaker 2: you know what, We're still going to be reviewed all
- 9:40Speaker 2: the comments and we're going to repeal it. And that's
- 9:43Speaker 2: when again one of the one of the alarmist groups
- 9:46Speaker 2: will will sue and it ends up the Fifth Circuit
- 9:49Speaker 2: and then the Supreme Court. But this endangerment finding is
- 9:52Speaker 2: what will bring this whole house of cards falling down
- 9:55Speaker 2: when it is repealed. That's everything is really been based
- 9:59Speaker 2: on this notion the carbon dioxide as a pollutant. It
- 10:02Speaker 2: is not. It's they call it the demon molecule. We
- 10:06Speaker 2: call it the miracle molecule.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Go Greg. Thanks as always the books Inconvenient Facts A
- 10:12Speaker 1: second book of Very Convenient Warming, Warming, and I want
- 10:16Speaker 1: to invite you to sign up. Go to CO two
- 10:18Speaker 1: coalition dot org, get on their mailing list, get the
- 10:22Speaker 1: weekly newsletters sent out. Greg writes in it routinely. Greg
- 10:26Speaker 1: thanks as always for the work you're doing and for
- 10:28Speaker 1: making time for us.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Thank you very much,
