- 10:29Speaker 4: been a minute since the vampire inviting thing.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I've seen it.
- 10:34Speaker 4: That's a big part of True Blood. That's the last
- 10:36Speaker 4: vampire thing I watched. Yeah, tremendously. And I didn't I
- 10:40Speaker 4: remember that from the old movies like Lost Boys and stuff.
- 10:42Speaker 4: I don't remember that he was in there.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Yeah I know, I know. I hadn't.
- 10:45Speaker 4: It's been a minute I watched. So I love the
- 10:50Speaker 4: fact that they didn't know what vampires were. Oh yeah right,
- 10:54Speaker 4: so they're like, we know the rules the boys. They
- 10:57Speaker 4: haven't seen no vampire movies. Okay, so they could They
- 11:01Speaker 4: can't go in like you got it by the vampire
- 11:03Speaker 4: but the thing was, I love how they the vampires
- 11:06Speaker 4: were smart. They ain't doing it like let me come
- 11:09Speaker 4: in so I can kill you, you know rymnic Remic.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I think Remick did it for the white people. They
- 11:15Speaker 4: was on the racism like perfect.
- 11:17Speaker 1: You know they let him in.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Uh uh?
- 11:22Speaker 1: What was the white girl's name?
- 11:24Speaker 3: Annie? Not Annie?
- 11:27Speaker 1: Married Mary?
- 11:29Speaker 3: So they let her in, but you don't you don't know. Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 3: she was already in.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Yeah, it's to us, it's like, why is she even
- 11:37Speaker 4: asking that they ain't tripping? But Corn Brad when when
- 11:41Speaker 4: when he came in, wait because Annie was already onto him.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. She was like, they're funny
- 11:47Speaker 1: and this is not a comedy at all, but that
- 11:49Speaker 1: scene was so funny to me.
- 11:50Speaker 3: Man, I love that scene. You know, we're supposed to be,
- 11:53Speaker 3: you know, being god. I don't want to know she
- 11:56Speaker 3: said that.
- 11:57Speaker 4: It was like.
- 12:00Speaker 3: I just slammed it there. If I said, we're supposed
- 12:02Speaker 3: to be kind to one another kind you know, we.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Ain't supposed to be doing we do. Del was like,
- 12:11Speaker 1: and what is it we're supposed to be doing that?
- 12:13Speaker 3: Nigga came back with big kind of one another? My
- 12:20Speaker 3: bad nigga is ripping.
- 12:23Speaker 2: That was.
- 12:23Speaker 3: It sounded so odd man, that giving away.
- 12:30Speaker 1: What the hell you talking about?
- 12:33Speaker 3: Did you just come in yourself. You've been coming in
- 12:35Speaker 3: and out there all night. Just walk right in.
- 12:39Speaker 2: I had to go to the bathroom because you're using
- 12:41Speaker 2: that old grease. I ain't never used no old reason.
- 12:43Speaker 3: You know it?
- 12:46Speaker 2: Dog?
- 12:46Speaker 1: That was.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Look, I ain't never used the old grease on my catfish.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Don't even try and forgot all about the vampires and everything.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Use old ass grease. You lying what's going on? I
- 13:03Speaker 3: don't get that. All lives at Risks.
- 13:05Speaker 2: One thing you ain't gonna do is try to say
- 13:06Speaker 2: I'm a bullshit cook. No, not no frying fish, not
- 13:10Speaker 2: in the stuff, not having that.
- 13:12Speaker 3: No, we could no hold up, shout, hold up, hold up,
- 13:15Speaker 3: give you no, no old grease. I ain't gonna have that.
- 13:19Speaker 2: How long it's been sitting in your spirits? Matter of fact,
- 13:21Speaker 2: come in there so I can tell you how I
- 13:22Speaker 2: really feel.
- 13:24Speaker 3: He come in on that.
- 13:27Speaker 1: He was like, we'll pay me my money. Yeah, and

- 13:34Speaker 3: They was quick on that shot.
- 13:35Speaker 1: They was outside that Oh yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 3: The iris was going off. They was jamming, jamming that
- 13:41Speaker 3: little slow song they was singing.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I was like.
- 13:44Speaker 3: This, Oh yeah, I was all in on that sound.
- 13:47Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. So the movie had the.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Great music, great great characters, great character development within the
- 13:54Speaker 2: short window of time.
- 13:56Speaker 1: And also enough mystery. They didn't explain everything they did
- 13:59Speaker 1: in Chicago. Man, we was out there.
- 14:01Speaker 3: We get it. We know they was working with the Italians,
- 14:03Speaker 3: Lien with the Irish Boom were back then. That's all
- 14:11Speaker 3: we need. We didn't need all of the man.

- 14:57Speaker 3: just leaves. Don't need all that.
- 15:00Speaker 2: I see you enough married talking again, because you know
- 15:03Speaker 2: what I'm saying. Marriag's mom had raised y'all since y'all

- 15:32Speaker 3: It's good that y'all hanging in there, you keeping your head.
- 15:34Speaker 3: And he left, you know, it's been weird since they
- 15:36Speaker 3: both lost the baby. They just know how to coach.
- 15:38Speaker 3: So he left and then he came back. That's crazy.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Anyway, I gonna get up on out of here.
- 15:43Speaker 4: But before man, tell me more about why you don't
- 15:47Speaker 4: want to take Plantation Nickels man, because you know that's
- 15:49Speaker 4: part of the fabric of the community. Man, think about
- 15:51Speaker 4: Plantation Nickels and you had her own money system with
- 15:54Speaker 4: this lame thing I about to have. Actually the US
- 15:55Speaker 4: government dollars, man, they have their own system. So tell
- 15:58Speaker 4: me how you expect to make that when you got
- 15:59Speaker 4: you got to the wine and the US dollars.
- 16:01Speaker 2: You know, I was confused on that as well, But
- 16:04Speaker 2: until I had the conversation with the Asian folks that
- 16:06Speaker 2: was here, you know, the Chinese Americas. They was here,
- 16:08Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, setting up a shopping because
- 16:10Speaker 2: you know, the white folks don't want to sell to us.
- 16:11Speaker 2: But they came here and they had they had a
- 16:13Speaker 2: white store and the regular store across the street.
- 16:16Speaker 4: And they settled down and they, you know, the Asian
- 16:18Speaker 4: community and the black community kind of grew up together. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 4: and we're gonna showcase that in the film that you're watching.
- 16:22Speaker 4: They just break the football Asian community.
- 16:25Speaker 1: You gotta understand.
- 16:26Speaker 4: They sell them the Mississippi Delta in eighteen forty six
- 16:29Speaker 4: and now today still they have a Mississippi actor you
- 16:32Speaker 4: can't even tell you can't even tell you what I
- 16:34Speaker 4: was think about. That is This also happened in San Francisco.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Later on in America, the same thing with the anti
- 16:39Speaker 4: immigrant policy affected the Chinese. America's in a whole movie
- 16:43Speaker 4: called uh uh, the one actual with the the Chinese dude.
- 16:46Speaker 4: You know, the Asian population also built the railroad tracks
- 16:49Speaker 4: in America because they was they were skilled lebras, but
- 16:52Speaker 4: they were woulding to work for less than the white men. Yes,
- 16:54Speaker 4: so it caused a lot of anti immigration policies. They're
- 16:56Speaker 4: mad the Chinese, but the Chinese took less. They didn't
- 16:58Speaker 4: say much. He hire white man, white men. They don't
- 17:01Speaker 4: work as hard and they expect more money.
- 17:03Speaker 3: It's the same thing.
- 17:04Speaker 1: At the top of the day, you blame the immigrant.
- 17:05Speaker 3: At the end of the day, the white liber doesn't
- 17:07Speaker 3: want to work as hard workers. Hard man. Eight hours
- 17:11Speaker 3: now and I'm also in school, peeps.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Sorry to interrupt the flow, butter you know, vegetarian, mostly vegan.
- 17:22Speaker 2: Everybody's always asked me pri and teen hang perienteen hang prieen.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Protein is very important. It's vital to us for many
- 17:34Speaker 2: for many reasons. But people always want to focus on
- 17:36Speaker 2: that when you tell them you don't eat meat, like
- 17:39Speaker 2: that's your only source of protein.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. And y'all know me.
- 17:43Speaker 2: I'm a Cereal guy. I'm a Cereal guy. So that's
- 17:48Speaker 2: why magic spoon is dope. Magic spoon makes high protein,
- 17:53Speaker 2: zero sugar cereal and trees reinvented from your childhood, all right,
- 17:58Speaker 2: that's re in the Because I grew up man, Cereal

- 18:04Speaker 2: on frosty flakes. You know what I'm saying, Captain Crunch,
- 18:08Speaker 2: I like crisp picks Life, the checks, the rice checks, oh,
- 18:15Speaker 2: rice checks, and the crispicks Man, Because the crispicks, you
- 18:21Speaker 2: had the coin and the rice on either side. You
- 18:23Speaker 2: can flip them. Man.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Y'all Cereal.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Y'all don't know nothing about cereal, but now you do, man,
- 18:28Speaker 2: Magic spoon Man. Every serving of Magic Spoon high protein

- 18:48Speaker 2: twelve grams.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Of protein on the go.
- 18:52Speaker 2: And they come in mouth of watering flavors like marshmallow,
- 18:55Speaker 2: chocolate peanut butter. Chocolate peanut butter that's a duo made
- 19:03Speaker 2: in Heaven right there, and dark chocolate. Both are great
- 19:07Speaker 2: on the go, pre impost workout, or as a midnight snack.
- 19:13Speaker 3: You know, some people call me a midnight snack.
- 19:19Speaker 2: To get five dollars off of your next door to
- 19:21Speaker 2: magicspoon dot com slash ball that's magicspoon dot com slash bald,
- 19:26Speaker 2: or look for Magic Spoon on Amazon or in your
- 19:30Speaker 2: nearest grocery store that's magicspoon dot com slash ball.
- 19:36Speaker 3: For five dollars off. Now back to the Ball Brothers
- 19:39Speaker 3: Mad exposition.
- 19:40Speaker 4: We kill somebody Man Man and the other thing I
- 19:44Speaker 4: like about Sinners that I haven't seen in a while.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Ryan Coogler the music scene tearing the veil.
- 19:52Speaker 2: That was I.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I was crying. I imagine like that.
- 19:59Speaker 1: I was over whelmed because it was like, you know,
- 20:02Speaker 1: I be on Twitter a lot. You don't be on Twitter.
- 20:05Speaker 1: There's always a diaspora wars, and black people always.
- 20:08Speaker 4: Get you don't know your country you don't know your background.
- 20:10Speaker 4: Youn't know your history, you don't know your tribe. You'll
- 20:11Speaker 4: know nothing about yourself. Ma ain't nothing but Americans. Then
- 20:13Speaker 4: you can't trace your genealogy back. So the fact that
- 20:16Speaker 4: that scene showed that, you know, the culture is within
- 20:20Speaker 4: us always and the connection from you know, our ancestors,
- 20:25Speaker 4: you know on the continent of Africa, all the way
- 20:27Speaker 4: to the future of hip hop and even other cultures.
- 20:31Speaker 4: All the dancing you can see shouting music the way
- 20:33Speaker 4: black people shout in church. It's similar to tribe, how
- 20:36Speaker 4: tribes dance, twerking. Everything we do you can trace it
- 20:41Speaker 4: back to Africa or early America.
- 20:45Speaker 1: So like the culture in history is there.
- 20:47Speaker 4: And then just the way the music and then Miles
- 20:50Speaker 4: Caton is singing like he's fifty eight years old, he
- 20:55Speaker 4: was like nineteen. He literally was the perfect casting for
- 20:59Speaker 4: like what that character represented, Like that Nigga's voice don't
- 21:01Speaker 4: go like the way michaela be Jordan I think it
- 21:03Speaker 4: was he was.
- 21:10Speaker 3: It was so in that scene.
- 21:12Speaker 1: It was like the first time.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I remember when the first time I saw Spike Lee's
- 21:16Speaker 4: Double Dolly shot. I remember being like, oh, that's I
- 21:20Speaker 4: ain't seen nothing like that before. Maybe it's been done before.
- 21:22Speaker 4: I don't remember seeing it until Spike did it, but
- 21:25Speaker 4: Ryan and I've seen Ryan's movies before. He's also five
- 21:28Speaker 4: for five in my books, Undefeated, five for five. I
- 21:33Speaker 4: want to do some research on, like, has anybody had
- 21:35Speaker 4: a better five film debut directing wise than Ryan Coogler?
- 21:38Speaker 4: Because from from fruit Val to Creed Black Panther one
- 21:42Speaker 4: and two to Sinners, that's in a row. You gotta
- 21:47Speaker 4: be scared to make your six things because Nigga like
- 21:51Speaker 4: and on the Black Panther, I give him double because
- 21:53Speaker 4: the lead actor passed away, so now you got to
- 21:55Speaker 4: rewrite with the grief and Chadwick was a private person,
- 22:00Speaker 4: so the movie ends up being a public funeral and
- 22:03Speaker 4: a movie.
- 22:05Speaker 1: And you pulled that off and then hit us with centers.
- 22:07Speaker 3: After that, After that scene, Nigga, this nigga, he.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Was like, he's he's cracking in to the top directors.
- 22:16Speaker 3: To me, for sure, he's cracking in.
- 22:18Speaker 4: He undefeated and he's doing all that with the Barry accent,
- 22:21Speaker 4: with the full Imax explanation that nigga probably sold more
- 22:25Speaker 4: Imax tickets than anybody else off of one video. I
- 22:29Speaker 4: said Nigga Imax movies. I only see them because it's
- 22:33Speaker 4: a good time, like time. I just want the good sound,
- 22:36Speaker 4: the biggest He broke it all the way down, and
- 22:38Speaker 4: lay were just like, oh, that's what's going on, said man.
- 22:44Speaker 4: I was tough after so.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Even when i Oppenheimer came out, I was just like,
- 22:49Speaker 3: I just want to see it.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I just likes bid stuff, but I don't know
- 22:54Speaker 1: what I'm looking.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Bryan Coogler was like, no, let me let me touch
- 22:57Speaker 3: the people with the with the you know, the accident.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Going accent full there. It's very black. But he's also
- 23:05Speaker 1: technically skilled.
- 23:06Speaker 4: He's actually the reason I feel like I can't direct
- 23:08Speaker 4: because I've been watching his videos. His attention to detail.
- 23:10Speaker 4: I'd be like, I just don't care about Oh guess
- 23:13Speaker 4: you guys.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Yes.
- 23:13Speaker 4: I was watching his Black Panther video and he talked
- 23:16Speaker 4: about the door Melange's first five sequence in the thing.
- 23:19Speaker 1: He was like, in her costume, she had a little
- 23:21Speaker 1: red we had paying a little homage.
- 23:23Speaker 4: To Nigeria, and or maybe the green was Nigeria and
- 23:26Speaker 4: the red was for the blood that they spelled and
- 23:27Speaker 4: the dorma loza and I was just.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Like the best directors are very meticulous. They don't just
- 23:33Speaker 2: come in there just be like, all right, we're gonna
- 23:34Speaker 2: do this scene. The star directors, I'm talking about the
- 23:38Speaker 2: star directors said the movie because they are very meticulous, yes,
- 23:43Speaker 2: where every every visual that you see is there for
- 23:47Speaker 2: a reason. Or if they're not even visually meticulous, they're
- 23:51Speaker 2: meticulous about if they're a writer director like a Quentin yep,
- 23:54Speaker 2: they're very meticulous.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Tour Wes Anderson is like the visual Yes, everything you see.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Tour, yes, like that is a Wes Anderson movie. Yes,
- 24:06Speaker 1: you can see. You could almost tell a Wes Anderson
- 24:08Speaker 1: movie from the poster.
- 24:10Speaker 3: That's all I need to see is one steal and
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'm like that easy. He's probably the only director.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Like that that you can see visually easily. I can
- 24:18Speaker 4: tell Tarantino from the dialogue that Speed and Nigga. Uh
- 24:22Speaker 4: he I didn't know he was writing those movies. Yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 4: he wrote Nigga is up and through that movie.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Up and through.
- 24:30Speaker 4: But Spike Lee you can tell from the shot. But
- 24:33Speaker 4: Wes Anderson you can tell from the color composition and.
- 24:36Speaker 1: How the characters move.
- 24:37Speaker 4: Like remember he had a whole trend on TikTok or
- 24:39Speaker 4: people were doing like Wes Anderson, things like that's a
- 24:42Speaker 4: crazy he don't he don't have no blacks in that
- 24:43Speaker 4: movie like that which is Find West. You don't say
- 24:46Speaker 4: do your thing.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I ain't even trip.
- 24:47Speaker 2: He'll be throwing one or two, one or two and
- 24:51Speaker 2: then uh, Jeffrey Wright was in something.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't want to me ask you this. This
- 24:57Speaker 4: is a big debate that I've been asking everybody. Grace okay, yes,
- 25:04Speaker 4: And I'm not gonna give you my opinion.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Do you think she is she made her choice to
- 25:13Speaker 1: invite the vampires in because she was anti black? No, okay,
- 25:18Speaker 1: what what do you think?
- 25:19Speaker 3: I think it was purely for selfish reasons. In terms
- 25:24Speaker 3: of her family, I think it was that.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Let me ask you this. I'm not giving away my position.
- 25:31Speaker 4: What do you think about the fact that remix threat
- 25:36Speaker 4: they haven't nothing about the movie showed that they would
- 25:39Speaker 4: go and find her daughter, so she should have known
- 25:44Speaker 4: that he was bluffing.
- 25:45Speaker 3: No, she don't know.
- 25:46Speaker 1: That's why you My nigga told me not to hell.
- 25:49Speaker 3: She don't know that.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Her husband is gone, That's what I said. And her
- 25:54Speaker 2: husband knows exactly where they live. I heard with her
- 25:58Speaker 2: not even knowing about the hive mind. She knows her
- 26:01Speaker 2: husband could just go and turn.
- 26:02Speaker 4: The daughter is speaking Mandarin and talking about how there's
- 26:06Speaker 4: a lot of coutchie looking in this movie. Also because
- 26:08Speaker 4: I just realized he brought it up as well. I
- 26:10Speaker 4: know how she likes to be living the niggas with
- 26:12Speaker 4: that cut you back in the day is fun. I
- 26:15Speaker 4: like it, But I said, dogg, y'all, I think you're reading.
- 26:18Speaker 4: And also Ryan Coogler agreed with this. Later on, I said,
- 26:21Speaker 4: if you are a parent, right, that kid was ten twelve? Yes, Max,
- 26:27Speaker 4: home alone, home alone, Okay.
- 26:29Speaker 1: That man is like, if you don't do this, we
- 26:31Speaker 1: gonna kill your baby.
- 26:32Speaker 3: Yeah, everything else is out, everything else out, And she
- 26:38Speaker 3: had I.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Don't agree with what she did, but I don't need
- 26:42Speaker 4: to agree with the character. The character's decision needs to
- 26:44Speaker 4: make sense.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Her decision makes hundred.
- 26:47Speaker 1: She was like, what are we gonna do in here?
- 26:49Speaker 4: She don't know about the sun, Like we watched the
- 26:51Speaker 4: vampire movie with our full knowledge of vampires they have
- 26:54Speaker 4: never heard of.
- 26:55Speaker 1: The only person who even had an idea was Annie.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Nobody even mentioned daylight is gonna kill him? No know,
- 27:01Speaker 2: nobody said they can me stand out here forever. All
- 27:04Speaker 2: Grace knows is my husband is gone. He knows exactly
- 27:08Speaker 2: where we live.
- 27:10Speaker 3: I can't.
- 27:10Speaker 2: I can't lose my daughter. Also, and he has the
- 27:13Speaker 2: car and he got the whip and he gets down there.
- 27:16Speaker 2: There's no if if that's me, and he's like right,
- 27:23Speaker 2: And there's also there's like what was like ten or
- 27:27Speaker 2: twelve of them in the juke joint. At that point,
- 27:30Speaker 2: you don't even know how many people are out there.
- 27:32Speaker 2: You just seen some crazy and y'all are not dying.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I don't know what's happening, but y'all are not dying. Yeah,
- 27:38Speaker 2: y'all coming back to life.
- 27:41Speaker 4: I I disagree with why she did it, but you
- 27:43Speaker 4: ain't gotta be anti black, you just gotta be black.
- 27:46Speaker 3: Is a stretch, and Ryan Cookler was like, no, no, they.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Are in community together. His appearance in that moment, she
- 27:53Speaker 1: was just like my family. And the thing is people
- 27:57Speaker 1: are selfish, yes, especially in the dark circumstances.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Don't think I'm gonna just sit in the room be
- 28:04Speaker 3: like they have my daughter.
- 28:06Speaker 2: But he's sticking together. I'm sticking with y'all. I know
- 28:09Speaker 2: y'all a little bit, but loyalty I don't even know him.
- 28:12Speaker 2: I don't know who that is.
- 28:13Speaker 3: But loyalty right.
- 28:15Speaker 2: No, man, here's what I might do knowing me. Okay,
- 28:19Speaker 2: big Tom, what you doing? I might try to scramble.
- 28:25Speaker 2: I can't even go get the car keys because the
- 28:27Speaker 2: husband had the car keys.
- 28:28Speaker 4: She's out of options she has, and I feel like
- 28:33Speaker 4: the movie did a good job of that.
- 28:34Speaker 1: I can't. I can't have no option.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I can't just sit and let my daughter perish. I
- 28:39Speaker 3: know I can't do that. I can't. I can't, just
- 28:43Speaker 3: like I can die.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I don't want to go.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Out there and commit suicide. My main objective would be
- 28:49Speaker 2: how can I save my daughter? Yes, so I'm gonna
- 28:52Speaker 2: just be sitting there cooking up ways to be like.
- 28:56Speaker 3: How I'm gonna get my daughter. I'm gonna be zoned out. Yes.
- 29:00Speaker 3: And she's the mother.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I think it was so smart to make it the
- 29:03Speaker 4: mother versus the father because they have the like I
- 29:05Speaker 4: literally cared you. That's like mothers protect even more than
- 29:10Speaker 4: father in nature and offen in life. You know, they
- 29:13Speaker 4: got that bond like that mother's love. I don't care,
- 29:16Speaker 4: Ma'm a cup, I'm killing you. Every time they say
- 29:18Speaker 4: the animals if it's the mother.
- 29:20Speaker 3: You take the cup. It's all I'm gonna kill. It
- 29:22Speaker 3: becomes to my children. You people in this room are
- 29:25Speaker 3: expendable to me.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Everybody die. I'm sorry.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Sorry, I'm not sorry.
- 29:29Speaker 2: If it's my daughter or y'all, y'all want to do
- 29:32Speaker 2: it individually or as a group, do we do this
- 29:36Speaker 2: or that?
- 29:37Speaker 3: My daughter wins every time? Every time, y'all, y'all know
- 29:41Speaker 3: we read too much into it. Hold on, Yeah, it's
- 29:45Speaker 3: as simple as that. Man.
- 29:47Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying this or that your daughter
- 29:49Speaker 2: or you know what I'm saying, silkie slim my daughter,
- 29:53Speaker 2: your daughter, or smoke my daughter, your daughter, or Annie
- 29:58Speaker 2: my daughter. So yeah, that anti black thing, I'm not
- 30:02Speaker 2: buying it. Purely a selfish reaction to what was going on.
- 30:08Speaker 3: That's my take on it. And it sucks.
- 30:11Speaker 2: But a lot of y'all will probably do the same.
- 30:15Speaker 2: You're gonna be a team player. Oh it was a
- 30:17Speaker 2: team player. So my daughter is a vampire.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Now I had to stay with the group. No, man,
- 30:22Speaker 3: fuck that. That ain't enough for me. I'm gonna try
- 30:29Speaker 3: to figure out a way I can get my daughter.
- 30:32Speaker 2: And then people was like, well, she should have just
- 30:34Speaker 2: should have just sacrificed her own life and then and
- 30:38Speaker 2: then what your daughter's still done? Your goal is to
- 30:42Speaker 2: be like, how can I how can I figure out
- 30:45Speaker 2: a way to get my daughter out of this predicament?
- 30:49Speaker 2: What she did do she ended up killing her husband
- 30:54Speaker 2: and herself, and in her mind, Okay, I killed my husband.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Now they don't know where we live. So in her mind, she.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Actually did the best that she could and it was
- 31:06Speaker 2: a good move if you didn't know that they had
- 31:08Speaker 2: a high mind, which she didn't know. So in my eyes,
- 31:12Speaker 2: in my opinion, she did the right move. She was
- 31:16Speaker 2: just like, all right, man, I'm gonna kill the husband.
- 31:18Speaker 2: I hate to do it, but he's already gone. I'm
- 31:23Speaker 2: gonna sacrifice my life for my child and then boom,
- 31:26Speaker 2: And that's what she did.
- 31:27Speaker 3: So I'm not that mad at her.
- 31:30Speaker 2: Man, have some grace for Grace, Okay, give Grace some grace.
- 31:34Speaker 2: And that's why her name is Grace. Give Grace some grace, y'all.
- 31:40Speaker 2: She just wanted to protect her child.
- 31:43Speaker 3: That's it.
- 31:44Speaker 1: That's that.
- 31:45Speaker 2: So, yeah, did you think about that care she actually
- 31:50Speaker 2: she killed her husband, Grace. Yeah, she staked them through
- 31:55Speaker 2: the heart and they burned together. So in her mind,
- 31:58Speaker 2: she was like, if I take the they won't know
- 32:00Speaker 2: where we live.
- 32:01Speaker 3: So she did the right thing. She didn't know about
- 32:04Speaker 3: the hive mine.
- 32:05Speaker 1: But how was she put that together at all?
- 32:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like she sacrifice us for our daughter,
- 32:11Speaker 2: which which is what most parents would do.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Anyway, my daughter is still on my daughter, Lee was
- 32:18Speaker 1: in the conversation.
- 32:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and that's all I'm saying, like, and listen, movies
- 32:22Speaker 4: are open to your own interpretation. That was just the
- 32:24Speaker 4: wrong interpretation. We was putting all this stuff on there.
- 32:27Speaker 4: And I think people got forget in a good movie,
- 32:32Speaker 4: the character only knows what the character knows, not what
- 32:35Speaker 4: the audience knows. The audience knows everything that's happened in
- 32:38Speaker 4: the movie. The character only knows what the character knows.
- 32:41Speaker 4: And they was not they was finding about all that stuff. Really,
- 32:44Speaker 4: I think she Annie thought it was something else for
- 32:45Speaker 4: a while. She was like, I don't think it wasn't
- 32:48Speaker 4: a vampire.
- 32:49Speaker 1: At first. She was like, I can't remember the name,
- 32:51Speaker 1: but she was like, it's something else. It was like undead.
- 32:52Speaker 1: She was in another term saying she knew.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah, because there was the hive mind, right, Like Renick
- 32:58Speaker 3: was the one who.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Was like your daughter aint thank you.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Yes, because he spoke to Mandarin or I don't know
- 33:05Speaker 4: if it's manner in her Chinese. So she knew yeah,
- 33:09Speaker 4: m hmm, she knew what though she knew about the
- 33:13Speaker 4: High mind or she knew he knew, Remick knew.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Well, I know Remick new, But did she know that
- 33:21Speaker 3: whatever the husband knows him.
- 33:25Speaker 2: I think she knew that, Yeah, because she tells them
- 33:29Speaker 2: like he knows Bo's memories.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Yeah, didn't Remick say that though, I thought he when
- 33:38Speaker 1: he was explaining it.
- 33:39Speaker 4: It's kind of fuzzy now. No, when he explained, like, oh, yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 4: once I know all this stuff about you. Everything your
- 33:46Speaker 4: husband knows I know. So that's where they knew, Like oh,
- 33:48Speaker 4: snap returned so and then the move was pointless. Yeah,
- 33:54Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. Her reasoning was dumb, but her
- 33:59Speaker 4: reason what's smart. Yeah, like she's back against the wall.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I gotta say, my baby, But like nigga that you
- 34:08Speaker 4: run out there.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Then, but for what though? I try to if you,
- 34:15Speaker 3: if you run out there solo.
- 34:17Speaker 4: You.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Big and bad. You want to say, but it's not.
- 34:21Speaker 3: It's not about being bigger bad. It's being desperate to
- 34:24Speaker 3: save your dog.
- 34:24Speaker 1: So what does she think the invitation what she were
- 34:29Speaker 1: just gonna fight, y'all.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's like, all right, the best we get,
- 34:34Speaker 2: the best we can do is take them out.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, because sitting here we did there.
- 34:42Speaker 4: It's not gonna that's what That's what I agree with.
- 34:45Speaker 4: But they also in the in a impossible situation. They
- 34:51Speaker 4: it's anak and I have the high ground like you're done,
- 34:56Speaker 4: but you got smoke man smokedn't do it.
- 34:59Speaker 3: When the smoke bigger bad, Yeah, and we got a shot.
- 35:02Speaker 1: That brother part at the end. I was just like,
- 35:04Speaker 1: y'all doing the brother stuff a little thick now.
- 35:07Speaker 4: When smoking stack was brothers and he was trying to
- 35:10Speaker 4: he thought he might have to kill him.
- 35:12Speaker 1: He's like here my brother.
- 35:13Speaker 4: I was just like, oh yeah, oh yeah, all right.
- 35:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna try to move off this morning. A little
- 35:17Speaker 4: sensitive to this. Also, let me go back.
- 35:21Speaker 1: I'm in to say it. At the very beginning, Michael B.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Jordan took a leap.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 35:25Speaker 1: As an actor, I and I mean quickly, this is
- 35:29Speaker 1: what I'm telling y'all.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Man in this podcast, I'll be like Michael B. Now,
- 35:36Speaker 3: y'all see it. Now, y'all that was clown to me before.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Man, But now tone I'm talking about.

- 37:46Speaker 1: Maybe the first scene smoking stack word.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:50Speaker 4: First of all, when they cross frame, I said, hold on, y'all,
- 37:54Speaker 4: I ain't never seen the two people playing one person
- 37:56Speaker 4: go around, right.
- 37:58Speaker 1: They did to dap up and I'm like, oh, hey.
- 38:02Speaker 4: When they did it on on TGI Fridays, the person
- 38:05Speaker 4: stand on this side is clear clear.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Hey, you in the car and is a clear separation
- 38:11Speaker 2: in the car. I remember Back to the Future did
- 38:13Speaker 2: that with Bill.
- 38:14Speaker 4: We ain't seen no crossing the frame. And they they
- 38:19Speaker 4: had different mannerisms. Yeah, uh, different character motives like Stack,
- 38:24Speaker 4: his name is Stack. He's trying to stack money. He's
- 38:26Speaker 4: the one's pure money. Smoke, he smokes. You know what
- 38:29Speaker 4: I'm saying. He's he got the even the news Bill
- 38:32Speaker 4: cap versus the like Italian mob cap like one of
- 38:35Speaker 4: them looked like Chicago mob.
- 38:37Speaker 3: One of the Loo looked like the Irish mob.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Like you could see maybe I was working for different
- 38:43Speaker 4: mobs in Chicago. But as an actor, he he did it.
- 38:48Speaker 2: He and it was it was It was subtle. It
- 38:51Speaker 2: was subtle differences, yes, like you can tell them apart.
- 38:54Speaker 2: But it wasn't like because sometimes you play two characters,
- 38:57Speaker 2: you feel like one has to be drastically different than
- 39:00Speaker 2: the other.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Like when you think of Tom Hardy in that movie.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Uh, well he played the twins, the Irish twins.
- 39:07Speaker 3: Oh god, they were London whatever. Legend, legend, legend, legend.
- 39:13Speaker 2: One was absolutely crazy, and the other dude was like
- 39:16Speaker 2: chill Ronnie and something.
- 39:18Speaker 3: So they were they were jarringly different or even Mark Ruffalo.
- 39:21Speaker 1: And no, he would not get an oscar. No, that's
- 39:23Speaker 1: nothing to do. Somebody said, we get an oscar.
- 39:26Speaker 3: You don't think so.
- 39:27Speaker 4: No, they don't do them for horror movies. They just
- 39:29Speaker 4: be like, I think he might get do you really
- 39:33Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 39:33Speaker 3: I think I think I think sinners might be able.
- 39:37Speaker 1: To what this is not saying he's not worthy.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Here's what makes me lose confidence.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Y'all going tweet this.
- 39:43Speaker 4: I just they be doing comic book movies and horror movies.
- 39:46Speaker 4: They pretend they don't exist when it comes to Ostro, but.
- 39:50Speaker 3: They threw they've been they've been throwing comic book movies
- 39:52Speaker 3: in there now.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Because Lupeter getting animated for them or us.
- 40:00Speaker 2: No, she didn't.
- 40:02Speaker 1: I thought she should. And that's the other thing.
- 40:03Speaker 3: What's the name you should have to? Uh, tony collect?
- 40:09Speaker 2: She should have got nominated for Hereditary But they was
- 40:12Speaker 2: just like she was God. The only thing that that
- 40:19Speaker 2: that messes it up is that it came out too
- 40:22Speaker 2: early in the year. They tend to focus on movies.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Outside it's wet. Yeah, the movie's blue.
- 40:30Speaker 2: But this movie made such a title wave of just
- 40:34Speaker 2: like critical acclaim, box office, that they can't ignore it.
- 40:38Speaker 2: So because Black Panther got nominated for Best Picture, it
- 40:41Speaker 2: came out in February, and this is the same type
- 40:43Speaker 2: of situation here. It came out April, came out April. Yeah,
- 40:48Speaker 2: so I think it's gonna get a late April, early April,
- 40:53Speaker 2: mid April.
- 40:54Speaker 1: It was like, yeah, it's around mid April's roights time.
- 40:56Speaker 3: I think it's gonna get nominated for Best Picture. I
- 40:58Speaker 3: think Michael B. Jordan's might get an.
- 41:00Speaker 1: As for supporting or lead, lead, lead, and maybe lead
- 41:05Speaker 1: and support.
- 41:06Speaker 3: Well nothing, they're not gonna nominate Come.
- 41:08Speaker 1: On, man, smoking off stack gonna do all that.
- 41:12Speaker 3: I think Ryan Coogler might get a nomination.
- 41:14Speaker 4: For Best Better for that scene alone, if the movie
- 41:16Speaker 4: was just that scene that was as good as Viola
- 41:19Speaker 4: davids Is scene in Doubt when she got nominated for
- 41:22Speaker 4: that one scene with her and Meil Street. And when
- 41:25Speaker 4: I was watching that movie, I was like, I'm sorry,
- 41:28Speaker 4: what is she No, she can't be saying, oh she
- 41:32Speaker 4: is saying that.
- 41:33Speaker 3: I said. Meryl Street was like that scene was so
- 41:37Speaker 3: tough man.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Because mother's love man. He screwed either way. But the
- 41:44Speaker 4: daddy gonna beat him, maybe kill him. Let that man
- 41:47Speaker 4: touch him if he can go away to that school.
- 41:49Speaker 3: And I know what's wrong.
- 41:50Speaker 4: I know you ain't gotta make this choice, mayl you
- 41:52Speaker 4: ain't got to deal with this. This is what I
- 41:53Speaker 4: gotta do with this boy is gay at the time when.
- 41:54Speaker 1: You can't be gay.
- 41:55Speaker 4: And he's gay and black and his daddy's homophobic. Ain't
- 41:58Speaker 4: no pride month. He can't go down to the gap
- 41:59Speaker 4: and get a room bow shirt. They're gonna be dead.
- 42:01Speaker 4: So if the man got to touch them, man gotta
- 42:03Speaker 4: touch them.
- 42:03Speaker 3: And I don't like it.
- 42:04Speaker 4: I'm not saying I like it, man, And I said,
- 42:06Speaker 4: dang viola, but I feel you again. I don't agree
- 42:09Speaker 4: with the character, but she what am I gonna do?
- 42:12Speaker 1: What am I gonna do?
- 42:13Speaker 2: And I'm a woman, I can't work, I can't leave,
- 42:15Speaker 2: and I'm.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Black, so I'm worse off than him. At least he's
- 42:18Speaker 4: a man. I'm stuck Oscar. Now for that scene, Ryan Coogler,
- 42:23Speaker 4: that scene, I mean, it was the theme of the movie.
- 42:27Speaker 4: It was the moment, it was the music. It was
- 42:31Speaker 4: he better get it. I want Michael Jordan to do it.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I just don't think they don't do horror every bullshing.
- 42:36Speaker 3: But I feel like now you can't deny.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Now you and you can believe and listen. I love
- 42:42Speaker 1: Michael Jordan. He only loses me a little bit every movie.
- 42:45Speaker 4: When he got he do something, I can't believe him,
- 42:48Speaker 4: he screamed, and I'll be like out black Panther, is
- 42:50Speaker 4: this your king?
- 42:51Speaker 3: I just this is a classic line.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I just didn't. I didn't all the way in the
- 42:58Speaker 1: Move the Museum, I bought.
- 43:00Speaker 3: It, so it was something you didn't buy me in
- 43:02Speaker 3: the sentence.
- 43:03Speaker 1: No, he leveled up.
- 43:07Speaker 4: He has gotten better as an actor, and I loved
- 43:10Speaker 4: him as in the Wire as Wallace. I mean, just
- 43:13Speaker 4: the perfect example of like he's not really a street kid,
- 43:16Speaker 4: but he's in the world where you have to be
- 43:18Speaker 4: and you can't even straddle, you can't be scared, you
- 43:20Speaker 4: can't make a mistake.
- 43:21Speaker 1: You are in the street by the street, the side
- 43:23Speaker 1: you street.
- 43:24Speaker 4: Person based on where you're born. And it caught him up,
- 43:26Speaker 4: and then the young kids got to do it like perfect.
- 43:29Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying. He's not a bad actor.
- 43:30Speaker 1: I love him, but Sinners.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I was like, Yo, I'm telling y'all, Michael, Michael, this
- 43:39Speaker 2: episode after episode.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Where's Wallace string? Where's no man Man?
- 43:47Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 43:50Speaker 4: I love that about the Wire. We should talk about
- 43:52Speaker 4: that one day. The theme of the Wire is set
- 43:55Speaker 4: up in the pilot, but we didn't know.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I didn't notice it.
- 43:58Speaker 4: D'Angelo is teaching him through chess, and he's talking about pawns,
- 44:03Speaker 4: kings and queens. We're all just pieces on the chessboard.
- 44:06Speaker 4: And by the end of the movie, I mean the
- 44:08Speaker 4: end of the series, everybody's been replaced. There's a new pawn,
- 44:13Speaker 4: there's a new king, there's a new bishop something, there's
- 44:16Speaker 4: Mike becomes omar Uh. Dookie becomes Bubbles. Name is the
- 44:22Speaker 4: only one that gets out. Naming gets out.
- 44:25Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 44:25Speaker 4: We don't know what he gonna Randy Randy becomes he
- 44:28Speaker 4: becomes another street person.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Carver becomes he might be Carver becomes Mignot.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Like I'm gonna Playing by the rules doesn't work, so
- 44:38Speaker 4: I gotta go not play by the rules.
- 44:41Speaker 1: And the Greek there's always the Greek.
- 44:45Speaker 4: There's always a connect, there's a prop Joe died Marlo
- 44:49Speaker 4: got the connect.
- 44:50Speaker 1: He died. This person got the connect.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Gonna be the next monster, the one that killed Omar.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Yes, Canar. I thought he was gonna be the next Omar,
- 45:01Speaker 4: But he's the next He's the next monster like marlow level.
- 45:05Speaker 3: He could be the next Marlowe.
- 45:07Speaker 4: Yes, because he cold heartless. Mike was smart, calculating. You
- 45:12Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. He had the hidest family the
- 45:14Speaker 4: same way Omar did. All pieces on the chessboard man
- 45:17Speaker 4: in the media, from the police, to the politicians to
- 45:19Speaker 4: the drugs. I was just like, dang, That's why I
- 45:23Speaker 4: ranked so highly. For me, it's the best, It's the best,
- 45:26Speaker 4: man the best Breaking Breaking Back. My problem is it's
- 45:31Speaker 4: how you break it up. Breaking Back is the greatest
- 45:35Speaker 4: single character arc in TV history, for sure, from a
- 45:38Speaker 4: chemistry teacher to a cold blooded billion dollar villain. And
- 45:44Speaker 4: if you go from episode one to the last episode,
- 45:46Speaker 4: you're like, ain't no way either way, it's the same guy.
- 45:48Speaker 1: There's no way.
- 45:49Speaker 3: And that was that was his intent the whole time.
- 45:51Speaker 3: The creator of the show. He was like, I'm gonna
- 45:53Speaker 3: make him.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Decision by this city. You remember how scared he was
- 45:56Speaker 1: in the pilot. He was in his drama.
- 45:59Speaker 4: And then the first person he killed, his mistake, and
- 46:01Speaker 4: then he didn't really kill Jesse's girlfriend, he just let
- 46:03Speaker 4: her die, and then he killed and then along the
- 46:06Speaker 4: way the money don't even matter.
- 46:08Speaker 3: But now pride and now you're because you you already
- 46:11Speaker 3: were not.
- 46:11Speaker 1: The thing I love about Breaking Back the most is
- 46:14Speaker 1: he actually got away. He got the cabin, he got
- 46:17Speaker 1: the money, he has all the stuff. Was the pride.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Now his pride and egoists.
- 46:24Speaker 3: No, man, No, he's he's heat.
- 46:27Speaker 4: He's Robert de Niro. He can't let Wayne Grow go. Bro,
- 46:30Speaker 4: you're there, you are at the airport. He's like, that's
- 46:36Speaker 4: Tony Baker. I'll be sending that when he don't let
- 46:38Speaker 4: them go. I just send him a picture of Wayne Grow.
- 46:40Speaker 4: He was like, man had the cabin, girl in the
- 46:45Speaker 4: passenger seat.
- 46:48Speaker 3: No, man, I can't let it go.
- 46:55Speaker 4: He's the tourst probably Niberg hors rising and cancer stuff though.
- 47:02Speaker 1: No, yeah, I let some stuff go. That whole grudges, man, hold.
- 47:09Speaker 3: You robber than narrow as well.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Put my grudges in that night, and I say good
- 47:13Speaker 1: night to each of my grudges.
- 47:14Speaker 4: Rights TV grudge for seven years.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Then let the boys go. I checked their views. I
- 47:23Speaker 1: was like, they're going down. Awesome TV.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Good night.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 47:30Speaker 4: Ever, don't hire my kids again. I'll show you off
- 47:33Speaker 4: this TV. But yeah, we was gonna talk about more
- 47:36Speaker 4: vampire movies, but we ran out.
- 47:40Speaker 1: I'm not even eating, you know.
- 47:42Speaker 4: I got my protein shakes, that's crazy, got for rice cakes,
- 47:49Speaker 4: got my yoga, you my tears. The most boring stuff, no, man,
- 47:54Speaker 4: because that's the key to me boring. At least when
- 47:59Speaker 4: boring I found, I don't have to think about it. Yeah,
- 48:02Speaker 4: I just run out of yogurt.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Cry go to instacart ralphs four four cans of protein
- 48:10Speaker 1: yogurt granola.
- 48:12Speaker 3: So you don't even like this stuff. It's all business.
- 48:15Speaker 4: I saw video ruming rains he was eating. He had
- 48:18Speaker 4: a little tupperware. It's like half grilled chicken and half broccoli.
