- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the most beautiful day in Manhattan. Donald, I
- 0:02Speaker 1: wish you were here strolling Central Park with me. It's
- 0:07Speaker 1: hot as balls in Californni balls sweat balls like sweaty balls.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You step outside. If you're not sweating, you are dehydrated
- 0:19Speaker 1: and you need to see someone because it is that hot.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Your body should be cooling itself off once you step
- 0:25Speaker 1: outside your door in the Los Angeles area, Remember you
- 0:28Speaker 1: know that old standard onum in New York? Why does
- 0:33Speaker 1: it feel so inviting? No? But I do remember. I
- 0:39Speaker 1: like New York in June. How about you, Hi, hummer
- 0:47Speaker 1: Gershwin too. This was an old standard that Billie Holiday
- 0:50Speaker 1: sang and Ellen Louis sang. But I think I sang
- 0:53Speaker 1: it better Ontum in New York. You totally god spells
- 0:57Speaker 1: the thrill of first ninety. I love it. Do you
- 1:02Speaker 1: guys agree that I sing it better than Billy Holliday?
- 1:04Speaker 1: And be honest, I don't want any any gass kissing
- 1:08Speaker 1: nailing it? Oh wow cold. I'm wondering why you've never
- 1:23Speaker 1: heard that song in your walking was better than them.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm telling our listeners, if you're ever walking around Manhattan
- 1:32Speaker 1: on a beautiful it's not really autumn yet it's still
- 1:35Speaker 1: seventy degrees out. But it's so pretty today in New York.
- 1:38Speaker 1: But when leaves start to turn and you got your
- 1:40Speaker 1: sweater on and you're feeling yourself and maybe you're holding
- 1:44Speaker 1: the hand of someone you like or love, I want
- 1:47Speaker 1: you to put on Autumn in New York. Joe, Well,
- 1:52Speaker 1: you know that song. It's beautiful. You can choose a
- 1:56Speaker 1: lot of famous singers that sang it. But I think
- 1:58Speaker 1: I agree with you guys that I am the best. WHOA,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I didn't say that, making a cringe face. I know, Well,
- 2:08Speaker 1: was it lady sings the Blues that like the icon?
- 2:12Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know. I think it's a
- 2:14Speaker 1: little it's a little bit much for me. I can't
- 2:17Speaker 1: go that by your beautiful voice. Let me try it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Let me try one time. No no, no no, no, no, no,
- 2:21Speaker 1: no no no no. We're good, We're good. God. How
- 2:23Speaker 1: come you're allowed to sing whenever you want? What you're
- 2:26Speaker 1: trying to get into one day or what you're trying
- 2:30Speaker 1: to do? Um, Hey, did you used to go to
- 2:34Speaker 1: Sheep's Meadow when you were in New York? Of course
- 2:37Speaker 1: I used to go there with my high school friends.
- 2:39Speaker 1: We'd stand in a circle and do backflips, sometimes smoke ganja. Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 1: well it used to be the place. It's funny these guys.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You know. So Sheep's Meadow if you don't know, Manhattan
- 2:49Speaker 1: is a place in Central Park. It's a beautiful open
- 2:52Speaker 1: We just used to call it the meadow. I assume
- 2:54Speaker 1: they used to graze sheep there back in the day. No,
- 2:58Speaker 1: we just called it the meadow. But yeah, well it's
- 3:00Speaker 1: called Sheep's Meadow I assume because they used to graze
- 3:04Speaker 1: sheep there back in the day. You want me to
- 3:07Speaker 1: laugh now, but yes we'll add. You know what I
- 3:11Speaker 1: need Danald for the pad is a solid, believable Donald laugh.
- 3:16Speaker 1: So when he doesn't laugh at me, I can hit
- 3:18Speaker 1: the button and the audience will never know the difference. Anyway,
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's a beautiful spot. People lie out it's here. They
- 3:30Speaker 1: throw frisbees, they they you know, every everyone's in their
- 3:34Speaker 1: bikinis and their speedos, and it's a sexy spot and people,
- 3:40Speaker 1: you know, it's just a great hangout spot and it's
- 3:42Speaker 1: very pretty. Would the Todd love this area? Oh my god,
- 3:46Speaker 1: there were so many banana hammocks I saw today. Gay
- 3:50Speaker 1: men and European men typically stereotypically the two types who
- 3:56Speaker 1: like a speedo. We're out in full force at the
- 3:59Speaker 1: meadow today. The funny thing about a speedo is you're
- 4:03Speaker 1: just like, hey, everybody, this is my cock and just
- 4:11Speaker 1: bigger small. You just gotta not worry about it, you
- 4:16Speaker 1: know what I mean? Like, are more confident about a speedo? Yeah,
- 4:20Speaker 1: because they're not. Really it's not necessary. Look, I don't know,
- 4:25Speaker 1: because and maybe because of what I see in like
- 4:29Speaker 1: the research that I've been doing on the internet speeds
- 4:33Speaker 1: on on on, I've in Google imaging speedos. But I
- 4:39Speaker 1: don't think it's about the I don't think it's about
- 4:41Speaker 1: the banana in the hammock when you're wearing a speedo.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I think I think Todd is just an exception to
- 4:48Speaker 1: the rule. Right, Well, I think Rob is probably well endowed,
- 4:52Speaker 1: but I just was I'm just surprised when I see
- 4:55Speaker 1: men in speedos and they're not like super in shape
- 4:59Speaker 1: or they they don't have a huge package. They're just
- 5:01Speaker 1: like they don't give a fuck. They're just well, what
- 5:03Speaker 1: do you poss with me and my belly and my
- 5:05Speaker 1: tiny peep, Well, what do you prefer? Boxers? Or briefs.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I think it's the same way. What do you prefer
- 5:10Speaker 1: speed on? I wear? I wear me? Oh really, that's no,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I'm saying that's what the I'm saying, that's what the
- 5:16Speaker 1: I wear a thong. I love it and I would
- 5:19Speaker 1: love to see you in a thought. Are there male thongs?
- 5:21Speaker 1: I don't know? Oh yeah, man, Bora didn't make that
- 5:23Speaker 1: shit up. Oh okay, is that what you wear? Daniel? Yeah,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you know what I'm feeling, freaky Daniel, Oh my god,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I would love to wear Can you twitch? Can you
- 5:33Speaker 1: twitch with that? Daniel? No you can't, Okay, Dan, you
- 5:38Speaker 1: can't show cheeks? Well, I mean maybe no. I think
- 5:40Speaker 1: I can show you. What are the limits of twitch?
- 5:42Speaker 1: What are the what are the porn limits of their
- 5:44Speaker 1: certain I think it is a swimsuit. Swimsuit is the limit?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah? Something a controversy about women or men who
- 5:54Speaker 1: were twitching from their bathtubs? Yes, hot tub meta the
- 5:59Speaker 1: hot tub twitch men? And it is still a thing
- 6:01Speaker 1: now twitch? What is that? Can you explain? I'm sorry
- 6:03Speaker 1: to open another show about twitch, but what is I
- 6:06Speaker 1: appreciate it and for all the fly don't like, for
- 6:08Speaker 1: you fans, sorry for you so sick of Twitch talk.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I promise is the last time. But I were trying
- 6:14Speaker 1: to get Daniel too. How many did we say? Five thousand?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Ten thousand? I appreciate ten, but really do you? You
- 6:21Speaker 1: plugged by Twitch so much? And I really I'm done.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I'm plugging it. I'm not even playing. We got to
- 6:25Speaker 1: get them, bro, bro, I'm done plugging Daniel and his
- 6:29Speaker 1: and his whole dancing. You guys just want to I
- 6:34Speaker 1: just want to ask Daniel what the what the controversy?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Because everything is so controversial these days. Yeah, what was
- 6:40Speaker 1: the controversy about Twitch and bathtubs? People were streaming from
- 6:44Speaker 1: their hot tubs and just you know, doing kind of
- 6:47Speaker 1: just chatting streams where they were interacting with their audience
- 6:49Speaker 1: and they just happened to be wearing swimsuits and and
- 6:52Speaker 1: why do people why did anyone give a fuck about that?
- 6:54Speaker 1: Because they're haters and they think that the platform is
- 6:57Speaker 1: only for one thing or another. It's really playing game
- 7:00Speaker 1: video games. Oh were they playing games from the hot
- 7:03Speaker 1: sub or just sometimes they were sometimes they were just chatting,
- 7:06Speaker 1: But either way, fall job Donald, Do you know that
- 7:08Speaker 1: there's a job on this planet where you can sit
- 7:10Speaker 1: in the hot tub and play video games in your
- 7:12Speaker 1: bathing suit and people throw money at you, Yes, they do.
- 7:15Speaker 1: They do it a lot where this is Donald and
- 7:20Speaker 1: Donald apply. Absolutely, you ain't even got to apply. You
- 7:23Speaker 1: should to turn the camera on and people will be
- 7:25Speaker 1: I was gonna say, how about this, Monald, Wait, what
- 7:29Speaker 1: would you do? Okay? I would would you do? I
- 7:32Speaker 1: would watch you. I don't give a fuck about twitch.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I watched them five minutes of Danel and digested what
- 7:38Speaker 1: it was. All he did was muck bang. But for you,
- 7:41Speaker 1: if you were in a hot tub, bathing suit playing
- 7:43Speaker 1: video games, I would watch you. Should get into it,
- 7:47Speaker 1: would you really? Yes? I would, And I would would
- 7:49Speaker 1: you pay? Would you throw money? Of course I'd tip you,
- 7:52Speaker 1: especially especially when you're bubble rose above the surface. I
- 7:57Speaker 1: should have like surface, like it should be like our surface.
- 8:01Speaker 1: By the way, that's bubble fantasy. We got to get
- 8:03Speaker 1: ahead of ourselves. But that bubble butt fantasy is the
- 8:05Speaker 1: flutiest show I've ever seen in this whole fucking show. Hilarious.
- 8:09Speaker 1: You're big, you know. I'm laughing when I'm screen shotting
- 8:12Speaker 1: in and sending it to Bill, and I sent it
- 8:14Speaker 1: to you, guys, I was like this show is out
- 8:15Speaker 1: of its mind. Yeah, crazy season. We're back on track,
- 8:19Speaker 1: aren't we. Do you notice? Yes? Season five is the best.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Do you notice that when you walk away you were
- 8:23Speaker 1: trying you were class So I have no button? So
- 8:27Speaker 1: I have no button? Yeah, without further ado, we should
- 8:30Speaker 1: just get into it. We got cha Serrano on the show. Y'all.
- 8:33Speaker 1: I'm six seven. As about show? We made yeado around here,
- 8:51Speaker 1: yeattoo around here? All right, welcome to the show. Everyone one,
- 9:00Speaker 1: Um Shay Serrano, let's bring him in? Uh you know what?
- 9:04Speaker 1: A guest once a year? It again? And man, did
- 9:08Speaker 1: he pick a good episode? This was a great one
- 9:11Speaker 1: there he is. Give it up for say what up? Yeah, Shay,
- 9:22Speaker 1: I know it's gonna be a good episode when it's
- 9:24Speaker 1: one you've selected to come on for because you are
- 9:27Speaker 1: Scrubs aficionado. And I always go into the episode going
- 9:32Speaker 1: if Shaye picked this one, it's probably a good one.
- 9:34Speaker 1: And I think this is one of the hardest. There's
- 9:37Speaker 1: only twenty minute episode. Some of it's summer shorter than others.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Twenty minutes and there's a joke every other sentence. It's
- 9:43Speaker 1: so yeah, Yes, there's not a lot of heart in
- 9:47Speaker 1: this one. This one doesn't that super funny episode. This
- 9:49Speaker 1: one just brings laugh after laugh after laugh. I disagree
- 9:52Speaker 1: with you with that not having heart. It has quite
- 9:54Speaker 1: a bit of heart at the end of the show.
- 9:56Speaker 1: How dare you? Yes, dude, right, there is a bit
- 9:59Speaker 1: of heart. I'm sorry. It wouldn't be an episode of
- 10:01Speaker 1: Scrubs without a little bit of tickle. Hey, back to Shaye,
- 10:04Speaker 1: how are you? Man? What's going on? I am fantastic?
- 10:08Speaker 1: What about y'all? How is life ing? It? Awesome? Life
- 10:12Speaker 1: is what I'm happy to be alive. How about that? Man?
- 10:15Speaker 1: You have so much harrier than the last time I
- 10:17Speaker 1: saw your way, and you've taken quite a bit off,
- 10:21Speaker 1: and you've taken quite a bit of going in opposite directions.
- 10:26Speaker 1: We should talk about we should wait before we get
- 10:29Speaker 1: into moment. Do you guys have to do a sports
- 10:31Speaker 1: check in? Who has a better record this year? San
- 10:34Speaker 1: Antonio Spurs or the New York Knicks? That's the question?
- 10:37Speaker 1: Oh man, you know what. I hate to say it,
- 10:39Speaker 1: but it's gonna be the Knicks. I believe san Antonio
- 10:43Speaker 1: looks looks not so great right now? Did you guys
- 10:45Speaker 1: lose the rosin two? Yeah? We did. Yeah, it's just
- 10:50Speaker 1: it's a fire cell in San Antonio. We're rebuilding. You
- 10:54Speaker 1: lost Patty Mills. Margin Patty Mills hurt a lot, dude,
- 10:59Speaker 1: especially after what he did in the Olympics in New York. Okay, listen, Shay,
- 11:08Speaker 1: you speak more eloquently about Scrubs than any of us
- 11:11Speaker 1: put together. Donald and I have one observation that this
- 11:15Speaker 1: is the funniest season so far. That sounds right. This
- 11:20Speaker 1: is so if you're talking about like the just overall
- 11:23Speaker 1: best season, it's between this one in season three. I
- 11:26Speaker 1: think the just straight up funniest. Yeah, it's gonna be.
- 11:29Speaker 1: It's gonna be season five. It's just every every other
- 11:32Speaker 1: episode is a fucking sledgehammer. It's great, every single one.
- 11:36Speaker 1: I just thought this went to the next level. Shay.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I just thought that, you know, Bill jokes when I
- 11:41Speaker 1: you know, because I texted him, I'm like, bro, why
- 11:43Speaker 1: is there a full sand castle that's not a fantasy
- 11:47Speaker 1: and other shit like that, like, and He's like, I
- 11:50Speaker 1: don't know. We got a little bored. But in getting
- 11:52Speaker 1: a little bored, meaning they wanted to shake it up
- 11:54Speaker 1: a little bit. I think they kicked everything. It's like
- 11:57Speaker 1: when you saturate a picture. It's like they turned everything
- 12:01Speaker 1: up a notch. Yeah, because once you get that far
- 12:03Speaker 1: into a series, season five, everybody knows what everybody is
- 12:08Speaker 1: going to do. Like nobody is auditioning anymore to like
- 12:13Speaker 1: be a big part of the show. Everybody is just
- 12:15Speaker 1: in there. So there's there's like a as a viewer
- 12:18Speaker 1: when you're watching it and it gets at that point,
- 12:20Speaker 1: you're like, oh, everybody seems like super confident right now,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and they're totally fine with doing whatever it is they
- 12:27Speaker 1: want to try to do, and it just becomes like
- 12:29Speaker 1: a really fun viewing experience. And also when we're watching
- 12:33Speaker 1: it by this point, we've we've been with y'all for years,
- 12:37Speaker 1: like literal years, four or five years, you've been in
- 12:39Speaker 1: our lives. We turn it on, we like it's like
- 12:43Speaker 1: a one way friendship, you know what I'm saying. Yeah,
- 12:45Speaker 1: it's just it's just a fun show to watch when
- 12:49Speaker 1: we get around here. The reason that I picked this
- 12:51Speaker 1: one though, when we were going through the list, I mean,
- 12:53Speaker 1: there are a couple of different different reasons. If you're
- 12:55Speaker 1: looking through season five, they're just, as we mentioned, big
- 12:58Speaker 1: big episodes in there. You have of you know, miss
- 13:01Speaker 1: Wilkes passes, hardly gets pregnant. Um the big like the
- 13:06Speaker 1: big two episode arc where doctor Cox falls into the depression.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Like there are a bunch of big ones to do.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Some of those like just being a fan of the show,
- 13:15Speaker 1: both the TV show and the podcast. Like when a big,
- 13:17Speaker 1: big episode comes up, I like to just be in
- 13:19Speaker 1: the background and listen to y'all talk about it. You
- 13:21Speaker 1: don't want to just stay out of the way. So
- 13:24Speaker 1: I was trying to find it. I was trying to
- 13:26Speaker 1: find one that allows us to talk about like one
- 13:28Speaker 1: of the things that makes Scrubs great, And this one
- 13:31Speaker 1: popped up. And and the part that I hooked on
- 13:34Speaker 1: was the storyline here with with Carla and doctor Kelso, yeah,
- 13:38Speaker 1: when he when he when she when she becomes a
- 13:41Speaker 1: proxy for him, And I'm like, okay, this is this
- 13:44Speaker 1: is perfect because the show Scrubs is like it's it's
- 13:48Speaker 1: a bunch of different things. It's this affirmation of humanity.
- 13:51Speaker 1: It's a referendum on the like existential toll of working
- 13:54Speaker 1: in medicine. It's a workplace comedy where where a married
- 13:57Speaker 1: couple raises a pumpkin as a child. There's a bunch
- 14:00Speaker 1: of shit going on but one. But one thing that
- 14:04Speaker 1: it like especially is is this sort of this like
- 14:07Speaker 1: master work and intimate relationship building. Like the show is
- 14:10Speaker 1: obviously good when it leans on several of the cast
- 14:13Speaker 1: members at the same time like parts, that part's in there,
- 14:16Speaker 1: but it's exceptional when it takes two people and it
- 14:19Speaker 1: just lets them be those two people together. Like every
- 14:22Speaker 1: good TV show has at least one great duo, but
- 14:25Speaker 1: the very best shows the Office, the Wire Breaking, Bad
- 14:29Speaker 1: Soprano's Madman, Game of Thrones or whatever they have, they
- 14:32Speaker 1: have multiple great duos. And that's where Scrubs sits. I
- 14:35Speaker 1: think Scrubs maybe has the highest number of excellent duos
- 14:38Speaker 1: that we've ever seen, and it stretches across so many things.
- 14:41Speaker 1: The JD character alone, he's in five separate great duos.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It's j D and Turk, JD and Doctor Cox, JD
- 14:48Speaker 1: and Carla, Jady and Elliott and Jad and the Janitor.
- 14:51Speaker 1: And it's like, every time you get those two people
- 14:53Speaker 1: together in a scene, it's awesome to watch. And that
- 14:56Speaker 1: by season five when we get here, anytime you get
- 14:59Speaker 1: just two of them alone, it's fucking great. And Kelso
- 15:02Speaker 1: and Carly here are a perfect example of that. I
- 15:06Speaker 1: agree with you one hundred on that. That and their
- 15:09Speaker 1: relationship tracks all the way from the Sandwich line, you
- 15:15Speaker 1: know what I mean. It tracks so he's always confided.
- 15:19Speaker 1: He only confides in her. As we watched the show,
- 15:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean, that's the one he talks to.
- 15:25Speaker 1: That's how we learn all of these things about Yea,
- 15:27Speaker 1: and so you know, only likes her. Yeah. By the way,
- 15:31Speaker 1: I was watching this morning. I usually watch right before
- 15:34Speaker 1: we record, but today I watched this morning and I
- 15:37Speaker 1: was It's such a great way to start your day.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I was just laughing my ass off first thing in
- 15:42Speaker 1: the morning. And then I had a wave of something
- 15:44Speaker 1: that hasn't happened a ton and then I miss I
- 15:47Speaker 1: really felt true nostalgia today, missing doing this. I mean,
- 15:52Speaker 1: we always watched this and we laugh and you go,
- 15:53Speaker 1: what a time. But I laughed so much in this
- 15:57Speaker 1: episode that I was like, God, you know, especially with
- 16:00Speaker 1: everything that's happening in the world and the apocalypse of Earth,
- 16:03Speaker 1: I was just like, Gosh, going to work every day
- 16:06Speaker 1: and laughing your ass off for nine years, I don't
- 16:11Speaker 1: know they'll ever have a job as good. Because it
- 16:14Speaker 1: was just so and we didn't have a care in
- 16:16Speaker 1: the world. It was all on Bill's shoulders. We just
- 16:19Speaker 1: we just showed up and did our day. We would
- 16:22Speaker 1: riff and we would play around and would be silly,
- 16:24Speaker 1: but it was all you know, the pressure was on
- 16:27Speaker 1: the writers to deliver one one every week for us
- 16:30Speaker 1: to have a jumping off point. And you know, nowadays,
- 16:36Speaker 1: you know, Donald and I are much more involved and like,
- 16:38Speaker 1: oh my god, is it going to happen? Oh will
- 16:40Speaker 1: it come together? Will I get the part? Or will
- 16:43Speaker 1: my movie come together? And this, you know, we're grown
- 16:45Speaker 1: ups now. There's a lot more responsibility and of course
- 16:47Speaker 1: sometimes we just take jobs where we're just an actor
- 16:50Speaker 1: for hire. But I don't know, I had this. I
- 16:53Speaker 1: don't know where it came from this morning, but I
- 16:55Speaker 1: had this reaction like, Wow, what a time, Like I'm
- 16:58Speaker 1: just laughing my ass off with my best friend. And
- 17:02Speaker 1: we knew at this time season five was one of
- 17:04Speaker 1: our highest rated times. We were we were killing it.
- 17:08Speaker 1: And uh, I don't know, I'm rambling, but I know
- 17:11Speaker 1: I agree with wasn't It was a great moment. It
- 17:15Speaker 1: was great to look back at at you know today,
- 17:18Speaker 1: I wrote down in my notes, Wow, the background shining through.
- 17:22Speaker 1: I recognized so many faces, you know what I mean,
- 17:25Speaker 1: from you know, from you know, people that were with
- 17:29Speaker 1: us throughout the whole run to people that you know,
- 17:33Speaker 1: there's faces and the I'm like, I don't even recognize
- 17:35Speaker 1: some of these people. But for the most part, you know,
- 17:38Speaker 1: it's like Rob's girlfriends in this episode, they go on
- 17:42Speaker 1: to be together for a really long time. I don't
- 17:43Speaker 1: know if she had a girl in the bowling Alley,
- 17:45Speaker 1: yeah with the blonde hair. Yeah, I did for a
- 17:48Speaker 1: long time, really really long time, you know what I mean.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And it's like, I just it was. It was very interesting.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I did get nostalgia because this is such a funny
- 17:58Speaker 1: episode and I found myself last thing really really hard,
- 18:01Speaker 1: you know what I mean. We're not gonna get to
- 18:03Speaker 1: all my notes. I know it's a good one. When
- 18:08Speaker 1: I'm like, I write on yellow legal pad and when
- 18:11Speaker 1: I've got like four pages, I'm like, we're not mean
- 18:13Speaker 1: to get to the ship. I basically just wrote down
- 18:15Speaker 1: every line of the show pretty much like to I
- 18:19Speaker 1: just want to. I just I do want to make
- 18:21Speaker 1: sure that we get to this Sausage is huge first
- 18:25Speaker 1: of all, because that made me laugh too. That made
- 18:28Speaker 1: me laugh really hard. And second, I want to make
- 18:31Speaker 1: sure we get to the misdirect that JD is going
- 18:33Speaker 1: through at the end. If we don't, if we if
- 18:35Speaker 1: we we're gonna talk about let's just let's get to
- 18:38Speaker 1: the top of the show. Um. Now, the funny thing
- 18:40Speaker 1: is that j D says a month ago, I shaved
- 18:43Speaker 1: my head, and first of all, he has like six
- 18:48Speaker 1: months of hair. Yeah, yeah, he's a hairy man. And
- 18:51Speaker 1: then someone I mean really, they could have he's a
- 18:57Speaker 1: lie man. Why did the writers not just say five months?
- 19:00Speaker 1: I guess they didn't want to jump that far ahead
- 19:01Speaker 1: or something. Yeah, But on Scrubs Wiki, of course, someone
- 19:05Speaker 1: did the math and they said that, um, the average
- 19:08Speaker 1: person's hair grows a half an inch a month. Well
- 19:13Speaker 1: you are they theorized exception. This is the level of
- 19:18Speaker 1: our fans that someone went love math and they theorized
- 19:21Speaker 1: that I got about five months of growth, not one month.
- 19:25Speaker 1: And it introduces us to the christianas, the Harry Christianas. Yes, now,
- 19:28Speaker 1: I first of all, I've lots of a question aou
- 19:30Speaker 1: the Christians. A little bit of trivia about the Christianas,
- 19:32Speaker 1: say you're gonna love this. They are the same people,
- 19:35Speaker 1: same group of actors that shaved their heads for for Carol,
- 19:40Speaker 1: And this was on Scrubs Wiki. We just recycled them. Yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 1: well obviously they their heads. Like first, I was thinking,
- 19:55Speaker 1: my gosh, in twenty twenty one, would you have to
- 19:57Speaker 1: get real Harry Christnas like, I mean, people might be
- 20:01Speaker 1: like those aren't real Harry Christians. Why would somebody? It's
- 20:05Speaker 1: an acting gig. Dude, you don't need to get real
- 20:06Speaker 1: Harry Christmas for it. Now. I'm just saying, in this
- 20:08Speaker 1: day and age, people who want the real person to
- 20:11Speaker 1: person who I don't know. First of all, I don't
- 20:13Speaker 1: know if Harry Christians are allowed to be in a
- 20:15Speaker 1: bowling alley drinking beer at the end? Are they allowed to? Um?
- 20:19Speaker 1: That was hilarious, dude, that was so funny. Not only that,
- 20:23Speaker 1: but he takes the pencil and the races you're here.
- 20:27Speaker 1: That was Google for accuracy. I mean, I imagine Harry
- 20:31Speaker 1: Christians are probably allowed to bowl, They're allowed to have entertainment.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I don't think they're allowed to pound beers in a
- 20:36Speaker 1: bowling alley. I don't know. I have a question though,
- 20:39Speaker 1: Go ahead. J D thinks the song Mellow Yellow's about
- 20:43Speaker 1: a liver patient. Yeah, that's a really funny bit. Yes,
- 20:48Speaker 1: now I finally know what it's about. How I finally
- 20:53Speaker 1: get what it's about. It's about having a liver problem.
- 20:57Speaker 1: They call me mellow Yellow. You meet Frank who's got
- 21:01Speaker 1: a liver problem, and uh and hold on. Joel wrote
- 21:05Speaker 1: this in the notes. Let's see here. They are vegetarians, yes,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and they renounce use of alcohol and drugs, well, not
- 21:12Speaker 1: on scrubs, on scrubs. That doesn't say they can't bowl,
- 21:16Speaker 1: but on scrubs they pound beers in the bowling out.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Maybe that particular group of Harry Christians had had fallen
- 21:23Speaker 1: off the wagon. Yeah, they're there, were they were, they
- 21:25Speaker 1: were rum Springer. Is that what the rum springers? Yeah,
- 21:30Speaker 1: when the Amish are allowed to go party for a time,
- 21:33Speaker 1: for as long as you want, for as long as
- 21:35Speaker 1: you want. Artist, it's not is it for like as
- 21:39Speaker 1: long it's not like it's not like kid like, as
- 21:46Speaker 1: long as you want. We hope you make it back
- 21:48Speaker 1: to the Maybe they're on Harry christianer rum Springer. I
- 21:51Speaker 1: think the idea is they want you to choose the
- 21:53Speaker 1: Amish lifestyle, and so you go and you're allowed. Oh,
- 21:57Speaker 1: Joel's is around two years. You go on rum Springer around,
- 22:00Speaker 1: it doesn't say two years, it says around. So it
- 22:06Speaker 1: was man, I watched it. Man, I don't watch it.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I don't remember. I watched Rubber Springer. I wish please God, yes,
- 22:13Speaker 1: I think it was just I only watched one episode.
- 22:15Speaker 1: And these people, what is the what is the Amish
- 22:17Speaker 1: Rummer Springer reality show called? Because I need to watch it.
- 22:21Speaker 1: They will stay away, they go out and they party,
- 22:23Speaker 1: they party hard, and you know, but you're still allowed
- 22:27Speaker 1: to kind of go back to called Breaking Amish, Breaking Amish.
- 22:31Speaker 1: That was it. Yes, I've never shay, have you ever
- 22:35Speaker 1: watched Breaking Amish? Maybe you could an essay about it.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I have not seen that one. Okay, um, certain reality shows.
- 22:43Speaker 1: I watched an episode of Not to digress for a second,
- 22:45Speaker 1: this Bachelor Paradise, please say yes, no you want you
- 22:48Speaker 1: motherfucker dude. Yes, man, it's the best. It's candy. It's candy.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I he believe how many people watch candy? What do
- 22:56Speaker 1: you like about it? It's sexually you people hook up
- 22:59Speaker 1: and you know, oh it's not sounds of them hooking
- 23:02Speaker 1: up on them? Oh? Absolutely, yes, oh yes, this version
- 23:05Speaker 1: of Port. Yes, this is Disney's version. Didn't he puts
- 23:09Speaker 1: this out? It's hilarious, man. It's the things that like,
- 23:12Speaker 1: first of all, these people go to a tropical island
- 23:15Speaker 1: with a bunch of beautiful people to find love, right,
- 23:18Speaker 1: And every week they introduce new hot people, and so
- 23:23Speaker 1: the person that you're with next week might see the
- 23:27Speaker 1: person that they've been waiting for this whole time. Like
- 23:30Speaker 1: they all know it from the seasons, so they all know, like,
- 23:33Speaker 1: and your job is to stay on, right, and your
- 23:36Speaker 1: job is to stay on for as long as you can.
- 23:38Speaker 1: So some people fake like they're in love with people
- 23:42Speaker 1: and right, and then somebody else comes in and they
- 23:44Speaker 1: just dump that person and leave that person person sitting.
- 23:48Speaker 1: The person winds up sitting on the beach with like
- 23:50Speaker 1: a guitar, singing sad songs. Man, Like, it's freaking hilarious
- 23:54Speaker 1: episode brutal. But was right or Connor? I'm telling you
- 24:01Speaker 1: right now, man, I wouldn't make it through five minutes.
- 24:02Speaker 1: I tried, and I was like, this makes me feel
- 24:04Speaker 1: so dirty. Hold on, babe, baby, oh god. All right,
- 24:09Speaker 1: here comes the theme song. Hit it, Daniel Kasey, come
- 24:14Speaker 1: down here. It's a truly incredible. Shay, I'll be walking
- 24:28Speaker 1: around my house folding laundry, singing that fucking song you
- 24:30Speaker 1: should out for no reason, A vicious? How have you?
- 24:36Speaker 1: We just played your theme song? Don't worry? Okay? How
- 24:39Speaker 1: have you turned Donald into a Bachelor in Paradise Watcher? Well,
- 24:44Speaker 1: the same way I'm going to turn you into a
- 24:46Speaker 1: back are you kiddy? It's it's like crack. First of all,
- 24:53Speaker 1: say hi, Say hi, Shay. Have y'all never met help me? No,
- 24:56Speaker 1: I don't think we've ever met, but I've heard so
- 24:58Speaker 1: much about you. Yeah, he's gonna steal Donald from me
- 25:01Speaker 1: because he loves scrubs and basketball, well, yes, and rap music. Yeah.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I can't have Shay around Donald too long because the
- 25:11Speaker 1: ven diagram of things they love is too overlapped. You
- 25:14Speaker 1: feel once a season isn't is? That's the limit right there?
- 25:19Speaker 1: All right? But Casey, how did Donald's like sitting here
- 25:21Speaker 1: and talking about how great Bachelor in paralysis? Okay? First off,
- 25:24Speaker 1: have you ever seen it? You've never seen it. I've
- 25:26Speaker 1: seen episodes of the Bachelor, but not Bachelor. Oh yeah,
- 25:29Speaker 1: they should just cancel the Bachelor. Nobody, nobody, They would
- 25:33Speaker 1: have no, they'd have no, Uh, they wouldn't have an island.
- 25:35Speaker 1: They wouldn't they wouldn't have the minor league team shay
- 25:38Speaker 1: when you train them to be to go up to
- 25:40Speaker 1: the major Yeah. Yeah, they wouldn't have a triple A team. Well,
- 25:46Speaker 1: so it's basically this group of people and they're all
- 25:48Speaker 1: on the island and then every like few, you know,
- 25:51Speaker 1: so they all start to like bond and hook up
- 25:54Speaker 1: and you know, meet their match and find their person,
- 25:56Speaker 1: and then like three days later, someone else is added
- 25:59Speaker 1: to the island, and someone else, and then you've got
- 26:02Speaker 1: people that are you know, they're like, you know, you're
- 26:05Speaker 1: the one for me. There's no one else here. I
- 26:07Speaker 1: want a date. I've never felt love like this. Then
- 26:10Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the camera pans to their steps
- 26:13Speaker 1: in the island and here comes some new chick and
- 26:17Speaker 1: they wait a minute, Wait a minute, it's awesome. Is
- 26:23Speaker 1: there a person that could be added to your house
- 26:25Speaker 1: that you would be like, all right, Donald, I gotta
- 26:27Speaker 1: ditch you now. That good question. I'm gonna be honest.
- 26:31Speaker 1: You know, Donald's the most jealous person in the entire world.
- 26:33Speaker 1: So I can't even answer. No, you can answer because
- 26:35Speaker 1: you have said in the world that's not true. I'm
- 26:39Speaker 1: not the most jealous person will answer the question. Go ahead,
- 26:41Speaker 1: I know what the answer is that guy question from
- 26:45Speaker 1: that guy from you. No, I'm not answering. Can I
- 26:49Speaker 1: tell the story about what happened? But how I know? Not? Yeah,
- 26:52Speaker 1: but I was drunk out of my mind. First of all,
- 26:56Speaker 1: years ago. I was so drunk. First of all, First
- 26:58Speaker 1: of all, years ago, we were at a party and
- 27:01Speaker 1: everybody was just shooting the ship and said, you know
- 27:04Speaker 1: the whole who would you kill? Fuck her marriage? Yeah? Okay,
- 27:11Speaker 1: so I wasn't partaking in the game first, he asked me,
- 27:13Speaker 1: and I was like, well, duh, I would kill Tom Cruise,
- 27:18Speaker 1: Mary Liam Neeson and fuck the shit out of the
- 27:21Speaker 1: guy from Sons of Anarchy some extra in there. I
- 27:28Speaker 1: don't even know if I said the way you didn't
- 27:30Speaker 1: have to say the storytelling. I'm Jack teller right now, yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 1: Jack teller. So I'm sorry, I'm you know. So anyway,
- 27:45Speaker 1: So anyway, we go home. He doesn't talk to me
- 27:48Speaker 1: that night, and I think, oh, he's wasted whatever. Three
- 27:50Speaker 1: days he slept on the couch and did not to me,
- 27:54Speaker 1: to to the point that I'm calling my friends from
- 27:58Speaker 1: the party asking what happened. I mean, he hasn't talked
- 28:02Speaker 1: to me at three days. I couldn't remember what the
- 28:04Speaker 1: hell and it definitely shouldn't answer she's question right now.
- 28:09Speaker 1: So the best, the best, Zach is when he finally
- 28:14Speaker 1: I finally said, you've got to talk to me. This
- 28:16Speaker 1: is crazy. It's been four days. What happened? And he
- 28:20Speaker 1: was like, you want to fuck that guy from Sons
- 28:24Speaker 1: of Anarchy? And I'm like what and the kicker he
- 28:30Speaker 1: doesn't look anything like me. I was like, oh my god.
- 28:42Speaker 1: If I was playing I'm good, I'm all good. I'm
- 28:44Speaker 1: all good. I'm good, sad if I was playing f
- 28:46Speaker 1: Mary kill and um and it got around to my
- 28:49Speaker 1: girlfriend and she was like, I done this, I do this.
- 28:52Speaker 1: And then she got to the funk one and she
- 28:54Speaker 1: was like, but I would, I'd be a little like, okay, bib,
- 29:01Speaker 1: that's not really the title of the game. Let's down.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Oh my god, Roco for our listeners, brought him off. Yeah,
- 29:10Speaker 1: the dragon tank. It's so clute. All right, Casey, we
- 29:14Speaker 1: got to move on with the show. Thank you for
- 29:16Speaker 1: your answer. Yeah, Zach, Zach, I know, we know, we
- 29:21Speaker 1: got you gotta go though. Let me see if I
- 29:23Speaker 1: can answer the question for her. What was the question?
- 29:26Speaker 1: The question was is there somebody who could walk into
- 29:30Speaker 1: your house that she would trade you in for? But
- 29:32Speaker 1: I think she just answered it. Yeah, say a name
- 29:36Speaker 1: on that one. All right, All right, let's get We'll
- 29:40Speaker 1: get divorced on that answer real quick. Let's get back
- 29:45Speaker 1: to the televisional scrub so Cox has developed a method
- 29:48Speaker 1: of zoning everybody out, which I thought was very funny.
- 29:50Speaker 1: When he closes his eyes and goes into a meditative
- 29:53Speaker 1: state and he hears the ocean and seagulls. Yeah, man,
- 29:59Speaker 1: that's his way of quiet out pretty much. You get
- 30:01Speaker 1: a sense that he's doing that all the time. I
- 30:03Speaker 1: wish I could do that sometimes. Oh I do do that. Actually,
- 30:06Speaker 1: you know how I do it? Weed on the balcony. Yeah,
- 30:12Speaker 1: it's done. We learned that Dudemeister means master of dudes
- 30:17Speaker 1: in German in German, and that Sarah doesn't really want
- 30:22Speaker 1: to marry him because of his last name, right, which
- 30:27Speaker 1: leads to what is in the very elaborate set up
- 30:29Speaker 1: for a Todd joke. Yes of Todd coming in. First,
- 30:35Speaker 1: Elliott says to Christa, you don't like Cox, and Jordan says, actually,
- 30:41Speaker 1: I love Cox, very proud of us forgetting that on NBC.
- 30:45Speaker 1: And then in runs Rob, who says, this is the
- 30:49Speaker 1: greatest conversation ever. And then what happens? Then somebody says
- 30:56Speaker 1: a female voice in the background says, oh my god,
- 30:59Speaker 1: this sauce is huge, and Todd says, I'm need excuse me, ladies,
- 31:07Speaker 1: I'm needed elsewhere. If that isn't perfect writing for a character,
- 31:17Speaker 1: I don't know what is man like. Hey, that's nailed.
- 31:21Speaker 1: You automatically know. If you've ever watched the show before,
- 31:24Speaker 1: that's dead on. If you've never watched the show before,
- 31:27Speaker 1: you know exactly who this character is. What's so funny
- 31:29Speaker 1: is I been for five years they were trying to
- 31:31Speaker 1: figure out how they could get I Love Cocks on NBC. Yes,
- 31:35Speaker 1: they finally introduced it. All right, we'll be right back
- 31:37Speaker 1: after these fine works with more talk about Loving Cocks.
- 31:47Speaker 1: We're back, and we're back. So Frank's brother is a
- 31:51Speaker 1: stand up comedian, really a cruise ship one, and you
- 31:54Speaker 1: and I find him hilarious. Yeah, his jokes are horrible,
- 31:57Speaker 1: but you and I we're just so happy to know
- 32:00Speaker 1: you can't get away. We're so happy to know a comedian. Yeah, yes,
- 32:05Speaker 1: and and and everything's a joke. He's always on and
- 32:08Speaker 1: then and then he does something, and he does something
- 32:11Speaker 1: and you go, I go, I didn't get that one.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You I didn't either. I wonder if we made that
- 32:17Speaker 1: up on the spot because we didn't. Truly, I feel
- 32:21Speaker 1: like we made that up because we were like, we
- 32:22Speaker 1: actually didn't get the joke. Okay, So Kelso opens up
- 32:27Speaker 1: to Carla right before you get there. The funniest fantasy
- 32:29Speaker 1: in Scrub's history is me having your ass. Oh boy.
- 32:39Speaker 1: The best part of the joke is the last line
- 32:41Speaker 1: of the of the of the button. That's the best part.
- 32:44Speaker 1: What thanks for the butt plan? No? When he says
- 32:47Speaker 1: when when nurse Roberts comes in and goes the Todd
- 32:51Speaker 1: says he needs you an R And you say and
- 32:53Speaker 1: and And Turk said, well, tell Todd, I said, what
- 32:57Speaker 1: do you say to kiss my black Yeah? To kiss
- 32:59Speaker 1: my black gas yeah. And he then turns to j
- 33:02Speaker 1: D and goes, I, but you wish you could say that,
- 33:05Speaker 1: And genuinely JD goes, I do I do, But dude,
- 33:11Speaker 1: the way they stuff my booty to be a cartoonish
- 33:14Speaker 1: version of your Listen, you got you got a big
- 33:17Speaker 1: old thick booty. But they they they went extreme. It
- 33:22Speaker 1: rivals that of of the Kardashians. It rivals that of
- 33:29Speaker 1: Cardi b um. But dude, the funniest part that I noticed,
- 33:32Speaker 1: I'm not sure everyone in the audience if you're gonna
- 33:34Speaker 1: watch the episode after you listen to this, go back
- 33:36Speaker 1: and look at Donald. He is doing his best to
- 33:39Speaker 1: tighten his ass cheeks and he's actually given me his butt.
- 33:49Speaker 1: The my favorite part of that little scene right there
- 33:52Speaker 1: is when jad is explaining who the guy is that
- 33:55Speaker 1: he says he's a comedian on a cruise ship, and
- 33:57Speaker 1: then there's a pause and he tells another joke and
- 33:59Speaker 1: they goes and he's a genius. But the way that
- 34:02Speaker 1: you the way that you deliver the line there, it's
- 34:06Speaker 1: one of my favorite line readings of the of the
- 34:08Speaker 1: whole show. It's like up there with the way that
- 34:11Speaker 1: Turk says it's so hot when when the furnace Yeah yeah,
- 34:16Speaker 1: like just Donald was talking about. You get a line
- 34:19Speaker 1: of of the todd and you know, like, exactly who
- 34:21Speaker 1: this guy is. Like you you see just this one
- 34:24Speaker 1: second of JD saying a line in a way and
- 34:26Speaker 1: you're like Oh, okay, this is like a special character,
- 34:29Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. Yeah, absolutely, JD's the type
- 34:32Speaker 1: of person that likes magic, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah,
- 34:36Speaker 1: any performances of any kind of any kind, right, yeah,
- 34:40Speaker 1: hands And if you're a comedian on a cruise ship
- 34:42Speaker 1: I do not judge that, you know, cruise ship level.
- 34:44Speaker 1: I think you're an artist. Yes, when the they do
- 34:47Speaker 1: the day dream of JD get in Turks. But I
- 34:51Speaker 1: was thinking in my head, like a couple of episodes
- 34:54Speaker 1: right before this one. The title of one of the
- 34:56Speaker 1: episodes is my Buddy's Booty. Yeah, and then this is
- 34:58Speaker 1: in reference to a booty call. But I was like, man,
- 35:00Speaker 1: this is like all sort of tied together, even if
- 35:02Speaker 1: not intentionally, I thought that was my buddy's booty. By
- 35:05Speaker 1: the way, we skipped one of the funniest parts in
- 35:08Speaker 1: all nine years of Scrubs, and that's me dancing with
- 35:12Speaker 1: the Harry Christians. Oh my gosh, oh my god. Talk
- 35:16Speaker 1: about commitment, talk about commitment. I could I could watch
- 35:23Speaker 1: us like he's the best Christian, the best Christian. But
- 35:34Speaker 1: bro listen, I I see Harry Christians a lot in
- 35:38Speaker 1: Where Where Where? When Union Square Park they're and they're
- 35:42Speaker 1: they're all almost all the time just chilling, no singing
- 35:45Speaker 1: that song and they but they're very mellow and very peaceful.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Obviously they're not dancing like j D. And those moves
- 35:59Speaker 1: I'm throwing and are so freaking funny myself, Na, Krishna,
- 36:08Speaker 1: un I got like I'm doing like some fame shit
- 36:10Speaker 1: donald like in this arm like this, and then and
- 36:14Speaker 1: then like jazz hands and then like yeah, and then
- 36:17Speaker 1: you're like, I didn't let I didn't. I wasn't you know.
- 36:21Speaker 1: It was a momentary thing. And somebody says hey to
- 36:25Speaker 1: j D and he goes praise Krishna. Uh huh, yeah,
- 36:30Speaker 1: do you remember that. Yeah, it's just the like passing joke.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Very funny. Oh, I love that about the comedian. I go,
- 36:36Speaker 1: he'd be a dynamite Center square. I don't know why
- 36:41Speaker 1: they don't bring back Hollywood Squares. It would seem like
- 36:43Speaker 1: it would be be very successful and you could be
- 36:45Speaker 1: socially distanced. They've done it so many times now, there's
- 36:48Speaker 1: so many incarnations of it. It's so cringe, is it. Well?
- 36:54Speaker 1: I remember when it filled liking it and when it
- 36:56Speaker 1: first started on it. When it first started you and
- 37:01Speaker 1: I were kids and it was before our time. Oh yeah,
- 37:05Speaker 1: there may have been like a seventies version, but the
- 37:07Speaker 1: version that was in the eighties it was the center Square. No,
- 37:10Speaker 1: this is before whoopee? Oh Joel can who is the
- 37:17Speaker 1: center square in the Hollywood Squares? In like the eighties
- 37:20Speaker 1: it was Whoever's before whoopee? But then whoopee? Did it
- 37:24Speaker 1: a long time? Yeah? The show was so stupid though, Well, yes,
- 37:29Speaker 1: you know, I remember when alf was in it. That
- 37:33Speaker 1: was great. What are you doing now now? I guess
- 37:38Speaker 1: I guess if you were a comedian you could write
- 37:41Speaker 1: your own punchlines to the to what the setups were,
- 37:44Speaker 1: and if if not, you had to do theirs. Yeah,
- 37:46Speaker 1: but they were every game show, dude, you haven't done
- 37:50Speaker 1: the game show circuit. Some of them was so much fun,
- 37:52Speaker 1: Like doing to Tell the Truth with Anthony Anderson is
- 37:56Speaker 1: so much fun, and doing I'm had to say, I've
- 38:00Speaker 1: only been on one game show both were in character
- 38:03Speaker 1: and out the bet. Well, that's the best game show
- 38:06Speaker 1: there ever was his family. I kind of want to
- 38:07Speaker 1: be on it again. I wish they could have us
- 38:09Speaker 1: back like weekly, right, I love Do you think they'll
- 38:14Speaker 1: let us go on next. Do you think they'll let
- 38:16Speaker 1: us go on next time they do celebrity family feud again.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I want to go on again. Do you think yeah, no, shit,
- 38:22Speaker 1: we crushed. We did, we demolished, we crushed. Yeah, we'd
- 38:26Speaker 1: beat Neil Flynn. It was a perfect game. Daniel, you
- 38:29Speaker 1: were so good and you got the you got the
- 38:31Speaker 1: Steve Harvey look away. I still I cringe in the
- 38:34Speaker 1: shower about that. Sometimes now you have those things in
- 38:36Speaker 1: your life that you could have happened when you were twelve,
- 38:39Speaker 1: but you still cringe in the shower when you think
- 38:41Speaker 1: about them. One of mine is Daniel getting the Steve
- 38:43Speaker 1: Harvey look away. Were you like it should have been me?
- 38:46Speaker 1: Should have been me? It should have been me? Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 1: I get down on my knees and I'm like, it's
- 38:51Speaker 1: like it's raining, like I pretend the shower and then
- 38:53Speaker 1: I look up like shawshank redemption and put my arms out. Okay,
- 38:57Speaker 1: two things, two things that two things that I have
- 39:04Speaker 1: questions about. So Turk and jd are die hard Gilmore
- 39:08Speaker 1: girls fans won? Yeah? And when did Todd get kicked
- 39:12Speaker 1: out at the men's locker room? Yes, Todd is no
- 39:14Speaker 1: longer allowed in the men's locker room. This is not
- 39:15Speaker 1: I wish I thought it was. Yeah, I wish I
- 39:18Speaker 1: could stay. I wish I know what he did to
- 39:20Speaker 1: get kicked out of the right way. You made a
- 39:23Speaker 1: very good point, Donald, and many an episode it's co ed.
- 39:28Speaker 1: But then I think it must have changed. Somebody did
- 39:30Speaker 1: change somebody. They didn't Carl lend them complain about it.
- 39:34Speaker 1: I think no. I think early on in the show's
- 39:37Speaker 1: run it was co ed. Do you remember when Sarah
- 39:40Speaker 1: did the whole burlesque number and everything? That was very
- 39:42Speaker 1: early on and then and then they must have the
- 39:45Speaker 1: hospital must have changed policies, probably because of Todd, and
- 39:48Speaker 1: then it became men's only, and that's where Who's got
- 39:52Speaker 1: bullion cubes? And Todd and Todd was doing lots of
- 39:58Speaker 1: redtails a hammock. He probably got kicked out for rat
- 40:02Speaker 1: tailing someone too hard. What do you call him when
- 40:05Speaker 1: he towels someone like? Sounds right? Yeah, or just probably something.
- 40:12Speaker 1: But Joan Rivers was the center square. Thank you, Joel
- 40:16Speaker 1: the Great, the late grade um so kelso yeah. So
- 40:21Speaker 1: Gilmore Girls. I've never seen an episode of Gilmore Girls either.
- 40:24Speaker 1: It's very popular. Joel's steak, Oh, Joel, Oh, it's so good.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Listen if you like fast talking, unnecessary drama. Gilmore girls,
- 40:33Speaker 1: rich white people, problems. Yes, everything about it is perfect.
- 40:38Speaker 1: What is the what is the premise? It's a mother
- 40:40Speaker 1: and daughter and they both have problems with Lorila Gilmore
- 40:42Speaker 1: had a baby when she was sixteen, and she was independence.
- 40:45Speaker 1: So she was like, screw you, parents, I'm leaving this
- 40:47Speaker 1: rich house and taking my baby with me. I'm naming
- 40:49Speaker 1: her after me. They're too lorialized. The younger one's name
- 40:52Speaker 1: is Rory, Rory super smart in order to get into
- 40:54Speaker 1: a prestigious school, did you get in by herself? But
- 40:56Speaker 1: they need money to pay, so lorialized parents are like,
- 40:59Speaker 1: if you come back and visit us every Friday for dinner,
- 41:02Speaker 1: good premise, We will pay her tuition. And so she
- 41:05Speaker 1: has to go back and confront all of the stuff
- 41:07Speaker 1: she left behind. But also she's thirty two raising a
- 41:10Speaker 1: sixteen year old. They are sort of best friends, but
- 41:12Speaker 1: they're also a mother and daughter, and that causes a
- 41:14Speaker 1: lot of friction because it can't be best friends with
- 41:15Speaker 1: your teenager um boundaries. And then and then Rory starts
- 41:20Speaker 1: to become Laura Lae in ways that Laura, I never
- 41:22Speaker 1: wanted and that's why show gets jell. You're pitching the
- 41:26Speaker 1: shit out of the show. It really, Joel. When you are,
- 41:30Speaker 1: when you are finally ready to pitch your own shows
- 41:33Speaker 1: in in uh in pitch rooms, you're gonna crush because
- 41:36Speaker 1: it's all about it's all about doing exactly what you
- 41:39Speaker 1: just did. I started your paragraph going like, I'm never
- 41:42Speaker 1: gonna watch this, and by the end I'm like, and
- 41:43Speaker 1: then Laura lia is what, But isn't it was a
- 41:51Speaker 1: great pitch? But I will never watch you. I like,
- 41:56Speaker 1: You're like, I would never, but I watch fucking Bachelor
- 41:58Speaker 1: in Paradise. I will watch Bach in Paradise any day.
- 42:01Speaker 1: I think the writing reference every six seconds in that
- 42:04Speaker 1: show you would write. But isn't the writing respected? I mean,
- 42:07Speaker 1: isn't it. People think it's good writing. Yeah, they say
- 42:10Speaker 1: a lot. They say it's very strong writing, but they're
- 42:12Speaker 1: all very It's over is the criticism that it's like overwritten,
- 42:17Speaker 1: Like nobody talks like this and they all speak very fast,
- 42:18Speaker 1: and I think it's stupid. I love when it's like
- 42:21Speaker 1: a highly stylized vocal stuff like Aaron sworkins. People are like,
- 42:25Speaker 1: no one talks about like who gives the fuck? It
- 42:27Speaker 1: sounds amazing to the ear. It's great. Yeah, it's skin
- 42:29Speaker 1: it's like poetry. I love it. It's so great. And
- 42:32Speaker 1: in Gilmore Girls, they had like a as actors. I
- 42:34Speaker 1: think you could appreciate they had, like their scripture twice
- 42:36Speaker 1: as long as anybody else's script There's so much content,
- 42:38Speaker 1: and they speak so fast. They had to memorize twice
- 42:40Speaker 1: as much like script as than anybody else. It's it
- 42:43Speaker 1: is a really impressive like and there's a small town
- 42:46Speaker 1: called stars Hollow, and it's so cute. It's a perfect show.
- 42:49Speaker 1: I bet they fall I bet they both fall in
- 42:51Speaker 1: and out of love with me all the time, all
- 42:54Speaker 1: the time, Zach, all right, I'm gonna give it a try.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Anyway we learn what whoa. That's how simple it is
- 43:02Speaker 1: to get you to try. Joel's amazing. I'd be the
- 43:05Speaker 1: worst executive. I'd be like Joel would be like, could
- 43:07Speaker 1: tell me anything. I'd just buy it out of a
- 43:11Speaker 1: studio immediately. I can't wait. I can't wait to hear
- 43:15Speaker 1: how much you love Gilmore Girls. I might give it
- 43:17Speaker 1: a try. I like both of those actresses. I think
- 43:19Speaker 1: they're both very talented and I don't know that I'm
- 43:23Speaker 1: really gonna watch it. I guess if I had, if
- 43:24Speaker 1: my girlfriend was super into it, I could probably probably
- 43:27Speaker 1: one of those shows that could be convinced. But meanwhile,
- 43:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna be the one that's like, I'm gonna be
- 43:32Speaker 1: the one that's like, babe, do you want to watch
- 43:33Speaker 1: going on? Exactly? All right? So Kelseo can't stop crying
- 43:39Speaker 1: because he lost Baxter. Um, but he's showing no emotion.
- 43:44Speaker 1: There's just tears running down his face. And so Carla
- 43:48Speaker 1: has to run interference with all of the people that
- 43:51Speaker 1: come knocking on his door asking for things. Yeah, and
- 43:54Speaker 1: she's wonderful we're doing that for him. It just shows you,
- 43:58Speaker 1: you know, part of it is. Part of it is
- 44:00Speaker 1: the fact that she's been given this newfound power to say,
- 44:04Speaker 1: to do what doctor Kelso does, to actually run the
- 44:07Speaker 1: hospital for a brief moment. But it also is the
- 44:11Speaker 1: fact that you know, she's flattered and very honored that
- 44:14Speaker 1: Kelso can't talk to anybody about this, but he decided
- 44:17Speaker 1: to talk to her. So it's really cool. You know,
- 44:20Speaker 1: it's a it's a great moment in there. Why do
- 44:22Speaker 1: you think he chooses her? He's Shays's she's she's sort
- 44:26Speaker 1: of the heart of She's sort of the heart of
- 44:29Speaker 1: the show. Obviously we know that, but of all the people,
- 44:32Speaker 1: that's who he confides in. Yeah, she has she has
- 44:35Speaker 1: a gravity to her that just pulls people in. And
- 44:38Speaker 1: she does the thing where she talks to you and
- 44:40Speaker 1: you immediately feel comfortable with her, You feel like safe.
- 44:44Speaker 1: It's like a version of mom energy. Yeah, Tammy Taylor
- 44:47Speaker 1: on Friday Night Lights is the same way where you
- 44:49Speaker 1: just like want to have a conversation with this person
- 44:52Speaker 1: because you know you're gonna be able to say the
- 44:53Speaker 1: stuff you need to say, and she's not going to
- 44:56Speaker 1: to judge you or make you feel dumb about it.
- 44:58Speaker 1: She's going to be there to like be helpful with you.
- 45:02Speaker 1: The thing we were talking about earlier about the like
- 45:04Speaker 1: duo thing, like if you're putting together a list of
- 45:07Speaker 1: like what you have to do to be a good
- 45:10Speaker 1: and a duo, Judy Rays I think is the best
- 45:14Speaker 1: example of this here, where where you have to be
- 45:16Speaker 1: able to like highlight the other person's most interesting attributes.
- 45:20Speaker 1: And this is why she's so good with whoever you
- 45:22Speaker 1: put her across across from like like she could make
- 45:25Speaker 1: a scene funnier, like when the janitor goes to give
- 45:28Speaker 1: her a hug and she just goes limp because she's
- 45:30Speaker 1: not sure if he's gonna like, is he hugging me
- 45:32Speaker 1: or killing me? She goes one hundred percent limp and
- 45:34Speaker 1: it's the fucking funniest thing without saying a word. She
- 45:36Speaker 1: could do that. She could make a scene more gut punchy,
- 45:40Speaker 1: like when Turt gets his hands stuck in the ice
- 45:42Speaker 1: machine and it's like it's very silly bit and she
- 45:44Speaker 1: gets on the phone and she's like, I need you
- 45:46Speaker 1: and it gets serious real quick. She can she can
- 45:49Speaker 1: make a scene more sentimental, like when she says goodbye
- 45:52Speaker 1: to JD for that last time. It puts her head
- 45:54Speaker 1: on his shoe. Like. She could just whatever you need
- 45:56Speaker 1: in a scene. Judy Rays can do and she's perfect
- 46:01Speaker 1: right here, And I think that's part of the reason
- 46:03Speaker 1: you end up with scenes like this where Kelsa just
- 46:05Speaker 1: knows he can just put me with her. You know
- 46:06Speaker 1: what I'm saying. Yeah, she's a gee man, she's a
- 46:09Speaker 1: true Oh she just watched the episode Shay where she
- 46:12Speaker 1: finds out that, you know, Turk told everyone that they're
- 46:14Speaker 1: having a baby. And I just couldn't. You can't take
- 46:19Speaker 1: your eyes off her. She's such a good actress. Yeah,
- 46:21Speaker 1: she's incredible, And it's such a good little turn right there,
- 46:24Speaker 1: because you're waiting for her to be like mad about it,
- 46:27Speaker 1: and she doesn't, and he's like this, this is there's
- 46:30Speaker 1: another example of like she just knows always what to
- 46:32Speaker 1: do or say in a moment, and it's like this
- 46:35Speaker 1: fucking rules. Yeah, her surrender in that scene is amazing,
- 46:38Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Because there should be an
- 46:41Speaker 1: angry she should be angry about it, but she's after
- 46:44Speaker 1: all that they've been through, she's like, fucking baby, let's
- 46:46Speaker 1: just go in there and enjoy our friendship with these
- 46:49Speaker 1: people and the fact that we're having a baby, you
- 46:51Speaker 1: know what I mean. We learned that Turk Knight is
- 46:54Speaker 1: watching He claims he's watching ESPN, but but he's really
- 46:58Speaker 1: watching Gilmour goes and he what's the ultimate Donald Knight? Oh,
- 47:04Speaker 1: good question. It switches anything which is a ranch your wish? Well,
- 47:11Speaker 1: then my wife might have to be around for some
- 47:13Speaker 1: of the Donald Knight. Okay, Well, Donald Knight can have
- 47:17Speaker 1: a cameo from your wife. Okay, Donald Knight, would Donald
- 47:22Speaker 1: Donald Knight would start at six am in the morning. Wow, Wow,
- 47:26Speaker 1: can't By the way, I'm on New York time, and Joell,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you're an early riser too, because I'm on New York
- 47:32Speaker 1: time and you both like respond to my text at
- 47:34Speaker 1: like five thirty in the morning. Yeah, I'm up early,
- 47:37Speaker 1: So it would start early and then when it as
- 47:43Speaker 1: it goes, the kids, Uh can come around me, but
- 47:46Speaker 1: there can't be any arguing, there can't be any fighting.
- 47:49Speaker 1: They can allow to come in and tell you they
- 47:51Speaker 1: love you. They're all in good moods. They always have
- 47:54Speaker 1: to be in a good mood on Donald Day, my wife.
- 47:59Speaker 1: So they also must be able to be self sufficient
- 48:02Speaker 1: and self reliant so that my wife doesn't come to
- 48:06Speaker 1: me complaining about why the kids are fucking with her day,
- 48:10Speaker 1: fucking up her day. Right, So it really fun. It
- 48:14Speaker 1: really boils down to the kids for most of Donald.
- 48:17Speaker 1: No drama on Donald Day, no drama whatsoever for the
- 48:21Speaker 1: wife or for myself. What else happens, Ganja, Yeah, lots
- 48:25Speaker 1: of it. Yeah, maybe a movie, like you know, it
- 48:29Speaker 1: would be really cool, Like I know that covid is
- 48:33Speaker 1: is covid doesn't exist on this dreamy Donald Day. No,
- 48:36Speaker 1: but it does exist in real life. But it would
- 48:38Speaker 1: have been great to like get out early this morning
- 48:40Speaker 1: and go see uh shang Chi. Yeah yeah, you know
- 48:44Speaker 1: what I mean, in a movie theater with nobody in
- 48:46Speaker 1: it by myself. That would not fucking awesome to do.
- 48:51Speaker 1: I really want to see that movie. And I and
- 48:53Speaker 1: I'm and I'm I'm avoiding the internet just so none
- 48:59Speaker 1: of the spoil. Like the commercial came on, I turned
- 49:02Speaker 1: that shit off. Dude, that shit looks fire, dude. Did
- 49:05Speaker 1: you see it already? Shay, No, that's on our list
- 49:08Speaker 1: of like we see that. Thanks. We do like one
- 49:10Speaker 1: movie a week with a family. We did Free Free
- 49:12Speaker 1: Guy on Saturday. This next Saturday, we're going to see
- 49:15Speaker 1: that one. I can't I'm excited for you, all right?
- 49:18Speaker 1: What else happens on day? And then sex obviously? Um
- 49:24Speaker 1: more we delicious food, delicious food, comfortable all day. Do
- 49:29Speaker 1: you animate or do you play video games? I could
- 49:33Speaker 1: do all of that, you know what I mean. What
- 49:34Speaker 1: I'm really into nowadays is, uh, it's really weird. But
- 49:39Speaker 1: being creative is a lot of fun. Whereas before all
- 49:44Speaker 1: I thought my creative all I thought I could do
- 49:46Speaker 1: was act, And I'm finding new ways to be creative,
- 49:50Speaker 1: and so because of that, I would like a day
- 49:52Speaker 1: filled with I don't know meant Disneyland, shit, you know
- 49:55Speaker 1: what I mean? It goes on, man like, so many
- 49:59Speaker 1: things would have to Donald Day could turn into Donald Week.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I noticed that Donald Day did not include a FaceTime
- 50:06Speaker 1: with me. I haven't started yet, I haven't finished. What
- 50:09Speaker 1: do you mean you did a whole fucking day just now.
- 50:11Speaker 1: I just started capped it off with Disney. Yeah, we
- 50:15Speaker 1: haven't even gotten to the nighttime yet. We haven't even
- 50:19Speaker 1: gotten to the nighttime. You stay for the fireworks? Well no,
- 50:22Speaker 1: man like, well hopefully you're there with me. If we're
- 50:25Speaker 1: at I don't stay for the time. I would even
- 50:37Speaker 1: get popcorn and cut a hole in the bottom of
- 50:39Speaker 1: the bucket like bachelor party. Yes, would you remember batch
- 50:48Speaker 1: the party? I do? I do remember that movie Tom Hanks?
- 50:52Speaker 1: Tom Hanks before he realized he was going to be
- 50:53Speaker 1: America's leading man. Yeah, he's got a movie, right, guy
- 50:58Speaker 1: puts his dick in a bbcorn Mark? What about? What
- 51:02Speaker 1: about you say? What would your favorite your debt? It's
- 51:06Speaker 1: a it's a version of that same stuff. I need
- 51:08Speaker 1: to wake up. I need for my kids to all
- 51:10Speaker 1: be in good moods, and then maybe Laramie says she's
- 51:15Speaker 1: going to take them to we we live in in
- 51:18Speaker 1: like outer San Antonio. There's a bunch of rivers and
- 51:21Speaker 1: stuff around, so they like to spend time out. So
- 51:23Speaker 1: they're like all in good moods, and she says, hey,
- 51:25Speaker 1: we're gonna take them. I'm gonna take all the kids
- 51:27Speaker 1: to like do an outdoor activity. You should stay here
- 51:30Speaker 1: and relax, and I'm like that sounds perfect. So they
- 51:33Speaker 1: so they leave and then as she texts me pictures
- 51:36Speaker 1: every so often of them like having a great time
- 51:38Speaker 1: so I don't feel guilty about it. And then I
- 51:41Speaker 1: watch whatever I'm watching on TV. And then when she's
- 51:44Speaker 1: on her way home, she's like, hey, I'm going to
- 51:46Speaker 1: stop at your favorite Mexican restaurant. You want men to
- 51:48Speaker 1: pick you up something, and I'm yea, and there's and
- 51:51Speaker 1: there's no weight, so the cheese is not like all
- 51:54Speaker 1: messed up by the time it gets to me. And
- 51:56Speaker 1: then I eat all that and then I give my
- 51:59Speaker 1: kids a hug and kiss and I like say a
- 52:00Speaker 1: funny thing and they laugh and then they go to sleep,
- 52:03Speaker 1: and then I go to sleep too. You go to
- 52:06Speaker 1: bed early. Oh, I go to bed so early, Casey.
- 52:12Speaker 1: Casey puts Donald down around eight, and then she called
- 52:18Speaker 1: from Sons of Anarchy and they have a great about
- 52:23Speaker 1: this bowl. Let's go back to scrubs. This bowling alley. Okay,
- 52:27Speaker 1: JD bowls a gentleman's forty. Everybody else bowled really well, yeah, yeah,
- 52:36Speaker 1: one ninety something when eighty something, like, holy shit, Donald,
- 52:38Speaker 1: can you really bowl? I forgot I've bowled high numbers before.
- 52:43Speaker 1: I'm not a bowler, though. Yeah, but you're one of
- 52:45Speaker 1: those guys who just naturally, like, Okay, show me how
- 52:47Speaker 1: to do it. Okay, bad, bad, bad? Now I'm great. No,
- 52:52Speaker 1: it's not now, I'm great, but I am. I do
- 52:55Speaker 1: have athletic abilities, you know. But you're like you're good
- 52:58Speaker 1: at stuff, like like Josh Reid is like that too.
- 53:01Speaker 1: He's like, okay, so it's darts, right, you just throw it,
- 53:03Speaker 1: you just aim for the center. Okay, one goes the wall,
- 53:07Speaker 1: one goes in the ceiling. Okay, just oh now he's
- 53:09Speaker 1: looking great. The Detroit Red Wings. Is there a reason
- 53:17Speaker 1: I didn't Johnny See have a friend on this team?
- 53:19Speaker 1: Why are they brought up so much? I don't he
- 53:21Speaker 1: just loves it. He always wore their jersey. I can
- 53:24Speaker 1: get a friend on the team. I don't know. I
- 53:27Speaker 1: have no idea why the Detroit Red We can't ask
- 53:29Speaker 1: him when we see him, but um, hockey. Uh, he's
- 53:33Speaker 1: very into hockey. The only thing that he wants to
- 53:35Speaker 1: talk to mister Dudemeister about is yeah, glorious. And then
- 53:41Speaker 1: everyone realizes that they have an inn to doctor Cox,
- 53:44Speaker 1: and they all the interns begin wearing Detroit Red Wings jerseys,
- 53:49Speaker 1: including Gloria. Who's Who's whose problem? You know? They're all
- 53:55Speaker 1: hoping that doctor Cox will say nice things to them
- 53:57Speaker 1: after berating them in everything. And they want advice, and
- 54:00Speaker 1: they want and there, and they'll give them advice right,
- 54:02Speaker 1: some type of And Gloria's husband, her boyfriend, her boyfriend, sorry,
- 54:09Speaker 1: is BI curious and want her to pick out his lovers? Yes?
- 54:18Speaker 1: And she and she wants Cox's advice on how to
- 54:20Speaker 1: handle that, to on how to handle that situation. How
- 54:23Speaker 1: do you handle that? That's such a tough situation for Gloria.
- 54:26Speaker 1: I feel for her. I think that's a tough situation
- 54:29Speaker 1: for anyone. I would not want to be in that position,
- 54:34Speaker 1: because BI Curious doesn't just well, you are our resident
- 54:38Speaker 1: fluid person. Can you how you handle that situation? Well,
- 54:42Speaker 1: there's a lot of things happening in that. If you're
- 54:45Speaker 1: bi curious is a weird statement to me. You're either
- 54:48Speaker 1: by any may be like, well, I don't know if
- 54:49Speaker 1: I could, I'd see myself with this, okay, But if
- 54:51Speaker 1: you're like in a committed relationship, I don't. I personally
- 54:54Speaker 1: don't understand the reason to be like, oh well now
- 54:56Speaker 1: I need to try. It's not that different. It's just
- 54:58Speaker 1: another person. You have the same kind of relationship issues
- 55:00Speaker 1: you have with anybody. On the other hand, if you're like, hey,
- 55:03Speaker 1: I want to be um like Polly, or I'm looking
- 55:06Speaker 1: to explore outside of this relationship, that's an entirely different conversation.
- 55:09Speaker 1: I don't think Polly existed back then, though. That's that's
- 55:12Speaker 1: that's that's fair. I don't think using the words that
- 55:15Speaker 1: they had, especially you know, um, I imagine her partner
- 55:18Speaker 1: is also at an advanced age. Why do you assume
- 55:21Speaker 1: that that's? Why couldn't Why couldn't Gloria Rock a twenty
- 55:26Speaker 1: year old? She could? She could. Gloria's got it going on,
- 55:30Speaker 1: She's becoming a doctor. She got that snappy hair. I
- 55:32Speaker 1: wonder why Gloria's Yeah, and finally Gloria's really gone to
- 55:35Speaker 1: med school at seventy or whatever she is. Um, why
- 55:41Speaker 1: do you think gloria boyfriend wants her to choose the
- 55:46Speaker 1: subjects for his by curiosity? I was less guilty. Yeah,
- 55:50Speaker 1: because he doesn't have to take any responsibility. Well, then
- 55:53Speaker 1: maybe Gloria is going to sabotage you and pick someone
- 55:56Speaker 1: who doesn't look like a good lover. Who knows that
- 56:00Speaker 1: get caught up. Then you find out like, oh no,
- 56:02Speaker 1: they're amazing, right. Gloria also also dates Leonard. So and
- 56:07Speaker 1: he's not old, he's young. You know that's right? Sha, God,
- 56:12Speaker 1: you're so good, you're like scrubs wiki. So I think
- 56:15Speaker 1: that I think that I think that this. I think
- 56:18Speaker 1: we can assume safely that, um, this relationship that Glory
- 56:23Speaker 1: is in now must end. And then she gets together
- 56:25Speaker 1: with Leonard. Yes, Now what happens that j D finds
- 56:30Speaker 1: out that Cox is giving advice to interns. Who, oh
- 56:35Speaker 1: my god, that was so funny. This whoe g darn
- 56:39Speaker 1: piss This run is hilarious. Him running in and seeing
- 56:43Speaker 1: Cox sitting down with Rex with Rex right, and he says,
- 56:48Speaker 1: look at you in your biracial love fest, and he goes,
- 56:53Speaker 1: you know what, and port Rex has nothing to do
- 56:55Speaker 1: with any of it. But then he's like, you know
- 56:57Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna give you back the pencil,
- 56:59Speaker 1: and Cox is like, what pencil? The pencil from that
- 57:01Speaker 1: you gave me on the third day I was here,
- 57:07Speaker 1: Oh my god, when I pulled that tiny pencil off
- 57:09Speaker 1: from maham my ear, I laughed so hard. That's one
- 57:12Speaker 1: of the biggest laughs of season five to me, that
- 57:14Speaker 1: that little pencils behind my ear the whole time, the
- 57:16Speaker 1: whole time. Not only that, not only that you point
- 57:21Speaker 1: to an intern, you go, whatever this guy's name is,
- 57:24Speaker 1: and Cox goes, oh, that's Leslie, and then that pisses
- 57:27Speaker 1: you off even whatever Leslie, great Leslie, Leslie out her
- 57:38Speaker 1: whole body and he comes running back in Leslie. Oh
- 57:44Speaker 1: my god. I laughed so hard at that that me
- 57:47Speaker 1: being so mad Hi. It reminded me of Quirky and
- 57:49Speaker 1: waiting for Goffman Christopher guests, because I was like, remember
- 57:53Speaker 1: when he's like he goes to try and get a
- 57:54Speaker 1: bigger budget for the musical than I'm just gonna bite
- 57:57Speaker 1: my pillow. Yeah, and he goes tiny thirty thousand dollars
- 58:01Speaker 1: and they're like, the entire budget for the town is
- 58:04Speaker 1: thirty thousand dollars and that and that includes swimming. Well,
- 58:08Speaker 1: there's no swimming in my show. Your bastard people, I
- 58:13Speaker 1: hate you and your ass spaces. I'm gonna go home
- 58:16Speaker 1: and bite my pillow. And I one of the greatest
- 58:22Speaker 1: scenes in cinema history. And I feel like I'm I'm
- 58:25Speaker 1: channeling Quirky here. I am so gnecause all right, right,
- 58:40Speaker 1: what did they give? They give the four what we
- 58:43Speaker 1: call our four co stars, Nurse Roberts, the janitor, Ted,
- 58:48Speaker 1: and the todd Yeah, piss because Carla did Kelso's work
- 58:54Speaker 1: and told them all no, yes, And then we hear
- 58:57Speaker 1: Koyana Scotts again. Is that how you say it? That
- 58:59Speaker 1: the song that's when the janitor's ever giving his when
- 59:04Speaker 1: that's when the janitor is giving his evil eye, And
- 59:06Speaker 1: so they give the death stare and she can't take it,
- 59:10Speaker 1: and she's like, please, I don't want you guys mad
- 59:12Speaker 1: at me? Is there anything I can do to stop?
- 59:16Speaker 1: And and the lawyer says, yes, we want tickets to
- 59:20Speaker 1: the Latin Grammys. Because they think and she's like and
- 59:24Speaker 1: she's like, I can't get your tickets to the Latin Grammys,
- 59:26Speaker 1: and and they're like, oh, come on, you gotta know somebody.
- 59:29Speaker 1: And she's like, I can't, Elliott tell them, And even
- 59:32Speaker 1: Elliot's like, come on, Carlin, I know you know somebody
- 59:37Speaker 1: that can they want tickets to the Latin Grammy's A
- 59:41Speaker 1: and B. It's so they assume Carla knows someone because
- 59:45Speaker 1: she's his fantic right where the janitor gets mad at
- 59:50Speaker 1: ted for not giving the evil eye sad what about
- 59:59Speaker 1: when when they when Todd? When Todd explains how he
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: channeled his evil eye, he says, yeah, I just thought
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: about flat boobies and it made me mad. I'm telling
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: you every other sentence and this fucking episode is a joke.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: And then all those cargo pants that they put Keith in, right,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: So they do that, and Cox comes in and we
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: realize that Cox and Keith have on the same outfit yahn.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Right after we realize that, here comes JD with the
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: callback to call back the joke that Cox is being
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: nice to intern nice interns, right, So this is the
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: best part of the show to me. The end of
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: this episode when Kelso is talking to Carla about why
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: he's sad and it's not just because of Baxter, and
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: it's not because his son shows up to his fiftieth
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: birthday with freshly pierced nipples and barely legal Filipino boy
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: named Pogo. Oh man, this son, Harrison has been so
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: much stress for Kelso. Oh my gosh, dude, dude. But
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: then after that he goes on to create a play.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: The play is the best thing I've ever heard of him.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Plays already happened. No, this is before, this is his
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: fiftieth birthday, birthday, this was years ago. It's like ten
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: years ago. I really would like someone to just outline
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: if we had an intern here at Fake Doctors, I
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: would have them goes through all the episodes and give
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: me all the things that Harrison has done to Kelso
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and to get back at him. And I would like
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: to donald to do an acclaymation animation video of Oh
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: my God. I would love to do that. I would
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: love to do a stage I would love to do
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: a claymation stage performance of Doctor Dad. That would be
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: the best thing, Oh my god. And then have them
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: go to the wings and make out and then make
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: out with it and then make out. He comes off
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: stage and flowding so happy for him, and they just
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: start making out. Yeah, I would love Oh yeah, do
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: that in your next animation. You can do with legos.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Done Lego, it's lego, Lego, lego. I know everyone's been
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: adding me about this guy's I get it. I'm sorry.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: You're right, Donald's right. You don't have to tag me
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: in your it's lego fucking memes. I get it. I
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: will never use the plural of legos again, the plural,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: the plural of legoa. You know what? The you know what.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: The best surprise at the end of the show is
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: something that's a reveal that I never knew in nine
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: years of doing scrubs. What's that Nurse Roberts loves apple
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Teeny's Yeah, I did see that too. That was kind
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: of cool. Thanks for a teening girl. Yeah, and the
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: janitor still wants Latin Grammy tickets, right, Latin Grammy tickets
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: or bust. She goes, I'll tell you the nominations, I
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: think right there. She asks him what category and he
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: says Miami reggaetone, which is hilarious because they didn't they
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: didn't do that until like last year, like an official
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: reggaetone category at the Latin Really. Yeah, I didn't know that.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: Really that is forever though, that's crazy. Reggaetone has been around,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: fat but that sho been around since I was a kid. Yeah,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I might, I might get that wrong, but I'm pretty
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: sure it was last year. It was like a whole
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: big controversy because none of the reggaeton artists got nominated
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: for the like the Big Awards, and everyone said, what
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: what the hell? It is like the most streamed music
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: on the planet. Yes, but it doesn't have Bunny J
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Balvin all that, But it doesn't necessarily have the reggae
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: beat to it though, like you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: bad Bunny does like like uh like his is more hitting,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: like in leads, like in rap you have like trap music. Yeah,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: that's that's what he's doing for He's the best man.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I love bad Man. I don't know one thing he says,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: except for when he says that man, you know Coulo phenomenon.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: You know, I just feel it. Baby, I owe my
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: daughters in the backseat singing that shit. She has no
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: idea what he's saying. But it sounds so good. I
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: need Donald, I need Donald singing phenomenon. It's such a
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: good song. Baby, I have a guest. Come on, we're
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: gonna take a break. We'll be right back after these words,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: and we're bad back. I wish I could show Zach
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: my coolo hole because he needs a dick off camera
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: and radio, implying to the audience that I was a
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: York to you during the commercial break, Yes, you were,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: and I watched you while we have a second to cyclops,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: is that a term balloon? Not? Yeah, loaf cutter. You
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: ever looked into the eye of a cyclops? Quota breeze? Oh?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I hope not? What's your favorite? Um AMA's term the
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: sides balloon, not the cyclops? Okay, I've never heard that. Never.
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: It's my one eye, it's my one eye area, okay.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Um I wanted to on that note, shout out Sha
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: Shaye tell everyone if you if you've never heard Shade before,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: we love Shade because he's very smart and very popular
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: on Twitter. Um but also he wrote a series of
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: essays on Scrubs. That's how I originally found Shay because
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: he is an incredible writer. And Shay tell everyone now
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: how to find your essays on scrubs. They are all
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: It's available on a website called halfway books dot com.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: They're awesome. Half Are you Are you working on anything
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: right now? Uh? No, I have the rap I mean
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: the I have the new rap book that comes out
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: in at the end of October. So nice, let's plug that. Yeah,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: it's called Hip Hop and Other Things. It's the third
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: book in my Little and Other Things series that I've done,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: and so I'm like in holding pattern putting. The book
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: has been done for a couple of months. It's getting
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: printed now, so now I just wait until that comes out.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: This is why I could feel I could lose you
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: said Halfway Books, Shay. Yeah, halfway books dot com, halfway
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: books dot com. This is why I feel like I
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: could lose Donald, to say, because Shay's interests are scrubs,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: M basketball, yep, rap music, M being a father, M y.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: I gotta ask your questions. I gotta talk about do
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: you talk about what's going on right now in rap music?
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: And like, how you know it's a young I mean
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: it's I guess it's always been a young man's game.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: But now how all of the great to kind of
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: up there now, you know what I mean? And who
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: are the new greats? Like, I mean, the obvious is
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: Drake obviously because he's did you like his new album
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Don't Drake? Yeah, it's fire Man. He's just it's he's
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: always he has a song out. It seems like every
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: week though, you know what I mean. It's like he's
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: always and that's why he's the best rapper right now,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: because there's never a moment in time where he doesn't
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: have music out, you know what I mean. I feel
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: like like Kendrick is coming. I can't wait. I can't wait,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Family ties, He's coming back. He said everybody's dying. I'm
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: coming back outside Everybody's dead. Yeah, I love him. It's
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: but you know, it's like, do you do you dive
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: into that? You know? Other than that, I'm gonna be
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: honest with you, I'm not really up on what hip
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: hop is, you know, other than Drake, Kanye can drink Lamar.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: I mean, I know about the baby because of what
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: he said, but I knew about I knew about him
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: before that. I mean, I feel like he made dual Lipa.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: You only know about the baby because of Dua Lipa.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I know about I knew about the baby before Dua Lipa,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: but that's the only reason. Okay, well, I think that
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: song is a hit because she got an American artist
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: on it and he freaking represented. Other than that, she'd
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: just be a Yuro, she'd be a Euro. Well that's
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: most personally. I like that was my bomb for the
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: whole year. I know because the baby was on it.
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: It is the greatest and the baby seem talking about
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: don'm talking about the baby. I'm just well, he's apologized,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: he's in, he's in the new he's trying to fix that.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: You don't know much. He didn't know much about it,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: all right, Joel, let's bring in whomever you've curated. Please
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: be a penis doctor. It's not a penis doctor, but
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: it is our first repeat fan call. Yeah, sex couple,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: sex couple. Not yet, they're coming, They're coming. When Zack's
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: mom was on, Christina was here and she got some
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: great advice from Zack's mom. And because of some of
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: the stuff that happened, we got some new info. We
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: got a college. It talks to you know, like a
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: ball maybe talking about the episode. So come on, Joe,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: let's get the show, ladies and gentlemen, give it up
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: for Christian time. Hi, Christina, the only thing, the only
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: thing I could ever want from a caller is for
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: her to say that my mother somehow helped her. So
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: is that is that true? Did my mom? Did my
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: mom's advice help you? It did? It really did, And
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: I think it helped me in ways that I can
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: pass along to my clients too. So um, thank you
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: all so much taling me be on here. But yeah,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: her advice was just spot on. It was great. Great.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: We'll remind our audiences who might not have heard that
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: episode what you asked my mom and what and what
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: she said and what's happened. Okay, my mom, for those
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: of you who don't know, as a child psychologist, well
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: a psychologist for lots of ages, but also specializes in
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: children and um, and my mom was a guest on
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: our show when Christina was a calling guest, and my
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: mom gave her some advice. So go ahead, Christina. You
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: know what's funny, I'm going to change my name on
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: here to Chrissy because I just go by Chrissy and
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: my full name I use it for court, I use
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: zoom for I'm sorry. Let me ladies and gentlemen, give
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: it up for Chrissie. Okay, Chrissy, go ahead. I just
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: wanted an extra Oprah voice. But no, Um, your mom
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: was talking about specifically her book The Falling Downtime. Yea um,
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: and you know that divorce The Falling Downtime, by the way,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: is available on Amazon. It's very very helpful for guiding
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: a young child through your divorce and helping them explain
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: what's going on. Sorry, Chris, you go ahead. No, that's
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: all right, and it's I think it's really important because
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I'm also a divorce attorney. So I think that was
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: kind of my my angle. I used to try to
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: get Joel's interest. I said, you know, I'm a diverse attorney.
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: I'm also going through my own divorce. I have kids.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: It's rough. COVID was rough. A lot of people were,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: you know, struggling in their relationships and things like that.
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Did COVID increase your clientele? Yes, you know, the only
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: the only one of the only businesses that did really
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: well divorce attorneys. Yeah, I got it. I got a
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: new job and everything. I've had a bigger firm. I mean,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: it's like crazy, I gotta raise. She goes, I gotta
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: line I got to line out the door. Yeah, but
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: you know with that comes a lot of people who
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: come in, and there were people. For a while I
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: was turning away. I was saying, you know what, it's
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: COVID core. It's just fighting because you're men together. But
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: let's be honest, there are some lines that you just
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: can't cross. And that's that's kind of what happens to
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: some people. So this is a great TV show. By
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: the way, Joell, this is one you should pitch. She's
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: a divorce attorney going through her own divorce. Yes, yeah, well,
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: Joell can pitch the shit out of this. Have a show.
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Did you c have a show called The Good Wife
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: that is similar? That's politics, Yeah, that was politics. First
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: of all, don't suck up Joelle's fucking money train. Okay,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: first off, and first off, I'm sorry, but Joelle and
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Chrissie I can already see Joelle and Chrissy pitching this
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: to ABC. Go ahead, sorry, Chrissy, go ahead. That's all right. So, um,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: the advice that your mom gave me was, you know,
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: when my kids are crying for dad, because that happens
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: because their dad's a good dad. He loves them, they
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: love him. I'm like, I'm lucky. That's good. Um. When
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: they are in that situation and I want to be like, well,
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: what's wrong? You know, tell me everything. She said, it's
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: not about that, it's about being there for them when
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: they're sad. It's you know, it's really none of my business,
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: first of all, unless there's something bad going on. And
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: don't assume there's something bad going on, and there's you know,
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: if they're missing their dad, nothing bad is going on
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: at dad's house. They like dad's house because he doesn't
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: have the bedtime that I have, you know, but there's
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: a difference. It's not one's not better, ones not worse.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: And um, she really put it in perspective for me
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: that kids just need to have someone who's there for
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: them when they're upset. It doesn't matter why they're upset.
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: And you know, it doesn't matter whether you ask them
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: directly what is you know, what's the problem, or if
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: you ask them more generally are you okay? Um, just
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: that you're there. And I thought that was so comforting,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: and so I do. I have a copy of The
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Falling Downtime. I love it for my clients and I
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: you know, share it. Oh my god, Chrissy, if you
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: had a Zoom coffee table in your waiting room, you
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: could just display them on there. I know that's well,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: and I tell them about it. I'll sell it more
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: this way, but I'll just send them a link. But yeah,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: you know, what have you found that it's been helpful
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: to clients that you have, Yes, because people need that
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: perspective when they're going through a divorce. They need to
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: realize that this, whether or not you had a you know,
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: bad breakup or just you fell out of love, your
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: kid is going to go through something that was no
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: fault of their own at all, and you know, they
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: need to understand that there's something that your children are
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: going to be dealing with, you know, and you are
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: partially responsible. I'm dealing with it still at forty six
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: years old. I just drove through my hometown yesterday and
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: it was very emotional because my parents, you know, when
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: I was a young child, they went through a divorce
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: that was very hard for me. And it's just amazing
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: that it's still emotional as I'm driving these streets this
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: many years later. And I was about eight years old
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: when they got divorced, so I'm I age to remember
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: it too, and you're yeah, you're not so young that
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: you don't remember. You know what. I'm gonna be honest
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: with you guys. You guys have convinced me I'm gonna
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: do it. Divorce casey. I'm gonna do it right now?
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Is it because of the way you guys have talked
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: about this and how you've glorified it. I am down,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: I am I think my kids will be My kids
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: will be fine. I am aware of this now. And
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: dollars you spend on your attorney. I have to tell you.
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: Donald's been down the road by the way. He's joking. Well, Chrissy,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna call you because you will do it pro bono,
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: because we put you on a show twice and promoted you,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: and so Donald Donald broke man. I was living off
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the casey, y'all. Don't don't get it twisted. Don't get
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: it twisted. I was gonna say. One of the other
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: funny things that Joel and I realized was I've written
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: into this show a couple of times now and back
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: when when things were good with the previous administration. My
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: ex that's what I call him. Um. I thought you
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: were talking about the previous administration. No, things were good.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: When X call him names, that's why we call him
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: the previous administration. Oh that's good. By the way. By
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: the way, by the way, you're giving a good jokey
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: point is that one thing that's that you're doing is
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: not talking shit about your ex in front of your kids,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: which I think is I don't know much about divorce.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: My parents were really good about that. They I know
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: that they couldn't stand each other at the end, but
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: they were My mom knew my dad was a good dad,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: and she did a very good job of not talking
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: shit about him, and he never said a negative word
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: about her to us. I'm glad to hear it. That's
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: really important to me. And Um, one thing hard, it's hard,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: very hard, because you know, well, that's why I go
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: to therapy. I talked whatever I need to talk about
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: that with her, and then I don't have to bother
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: my friends or my family with that either, you know,
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: and and so um, But the funny thing is my ex,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: my kid's dad. Um, he is Mexican American. He is
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: very proud of his culture and heritage. And I'm white,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: So I don't know a lot of those things. I
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: try to learn some Spanish. But one thing that we
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: both really loved was she Serrano. Oh my gosh, it's funny.
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: This would be a great time to pay that music.
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: You guys said, you like the Spanish music. Yesgae, but
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: it is It's just so funny when you have something
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: that you like and that you're ex to, the thing,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: the thing that you're when you're ex After everything fell apart,
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: the one thing that you still connected on was Sha Serrano.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: That in Hamilton. Wow, Shay, look at that. The marriage
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: is hanging on by a thread. The marriage is hanging
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: on by the fingernails, and and the a and the
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: fingernails are you as me and Lynn Manuel together? But
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: you know, it's like you like what you like and
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: you can't. I don't throw out all that with you know,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: there's always good Well, listen when you guys are when
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: you guys are in a place where you can chat
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: again and you're I mean, I know you're talking about
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: the kid, but when you're in a better place and
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: there's been more healing, you could say, hey, do you
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: want to get together and just chat about Shae Serrano exactly? Well,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: I could say to just see what shape tweeted, you know,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: because we need to small talk again, right, small talk, um, Chrissy.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: I recall you were just dipping your toe into the
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: dating waters last time. How has that been going? How
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: about does this answer your question? I just hold up
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: a teaky necklace. Everybody go on, So that mean somebody
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: else has the other yes, Oh my goodness, y'all. Never
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: guess where the other one is. It's in this very
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: small town called guard Grave, England. And this guy you're
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: an Anglo file I know, I know the type. Do
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: you do? You know what I'm talking about? And it's
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: so lovely. They drink tea. So how did you meet
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: um this fellow? Well, I have to say thank you
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: because you fixed my life, like really fixed it. Because
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: you're welcome, Christy, You're welcome. You're welcome. He heard me
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: on the pod. He heard you on the podcast. That's incredible,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: and he tracked you down. He split it to my
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: d Oh my god. He was a gentleman. Obviously, he
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: was such a gentleman. And he's so cute and he's
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: so sweet. Look at this birthday card. Oh you guys,
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: I'm getting emotional. We bought a couple together. Oh my god,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: if you get married, can we can be alive on
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: our show speaker Joel, She said yes to don't rush Chrissie.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: There's no run I know that's what everyone's telling. But
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: if you can do it before we end season nine
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: of the show. It was a great season nine final,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: say only fools Russian? Right? You know what? Martin and
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: I knew Donald would be the more voice of reason
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: in that. Yes, well, Donald's been been been married and
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: she shut the fuck up. I said, you've been married before.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: I know where you're going with this. No, you're no
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: way you know not to rush in. I'm not. There's
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: nothing prudent about me. I know prude. I give it
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: up every time every time she asked, whoa, No, you're good.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: It's nobody's son, Camarino. I guess handsome. Vivo is over? Okay,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: do you want to right? That's that movie? Yeah? Vivo?
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: It's so good. Do you want to restart it so
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: we can continue talking about your love life? Yeah? Do
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: you want to go watch it again? Yes? It was
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: so good. Vivo? Yes, go down there. I haven't seen Vivo, Donald,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: have you I've not seen? Is it good? So good.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I'm putting it back on. Okay, I am so excited
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: that we did this. Wait just wait a second, Wait,
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: it's down downstairs. I turned it on again. See do
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: you hear it? Oh? He ran out that movie, wasn't me.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch that tonight, Joelle, have you watched that movie?
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: That is well, that was the best add for that
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: movie because that kid ran out of the room. All
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: right now. Um wait, I'm just so proud of us Donald.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: We created whole humble. Okay, Oh, you should be very proud.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: This guy has been a lifelong stub stand like me.
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: Oh that's great too. We both have been listening and
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: he's a gentleman. He treats you guys. Have you guys,
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: have you guys with COVID going on? Have you guys?
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Has he made a trip to wherever you are? Or
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: have you made a trip to wherever he is? I
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: am going in two three weeks? Oh my god? And
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: he he ask your question? He can't him. Are you
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: staying with him? Are you staying by yourself? Are you
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: staying in a hotel? Well, here's the lucky thing. I
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: have a good question. I have a cousin who lives
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: in London. Oh good, good, okay, good, I have a
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: get out of jail free car. You know I can
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: if he turns out to be some crazy guy who
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: just has a cast fetish and like, you know whatever.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: But he's not, I'm going to stay with him as
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: much as I can because I right, well, yeah, but
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: you do want to You do want to put your
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: bags down in your cousin's house and make sure that
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: you got your cousin with you. She's great and she
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: and good friends. We lived together for a little bit once,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: so I mean I'm close with her. Okay, good, if
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: it goes well, and make sure she brings the mace
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: and taser, Justin. I don't think they can have a
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: taser in London. Well bring them mace, Justin Kashaw got
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: to run. Bring me. No disrespect, No disrespect to you
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: a new man, No disrespect, bro, No disrespect is. But
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: you know it's gonna happen. Is you're gonna meet at
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: a bar or restaurant. Hub. No, she's going and staying
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: with him, and she's going to stay with him. She said,
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: she's staying with him. Look at her nodding. No, she's
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: staying with the cousin. She's staying with him and her
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: cousin's the backup, just in case I have to say
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: what I would say to my parents. Chris, you're staying
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: with your cousin. Yeah, she is. She waits, she faked well.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: I don't know. She's going to get some time, Chrissy,
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: Go get you some, Chris, go for yours. I'm on
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: that boat with you. I'm on that boat with you
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: to London. I'm living vicariously through you and Donald. Calm down,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: just kidding. I don't know. You're more excited. You're more
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: giddy about this than Chrissy. Is new love, baby, It's
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: fun enough. New love is amazing, Chrissy. Um, I have
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: a question, Um, how often do you guys FaceTime? Is
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: it like an everyday thing? Zach? We talk every day
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: and we are on zoom dates like once or twice
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: a week, Like I have a date to sit down
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: and talk and you have dinner. We baked muffins ones,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Oh my god, Joel muffins. We have a dance party. Ed. Yeah,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: this is what kind of music does he like? What
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: kind of music does he like? Cocktail? Okay, he likes
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: all the good stuff. He likes all the kind of
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: stuff that you guys like. We have a playlist. We'll
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: get some if you don't like, no, bad bunny, we
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: got a problem. Yeah Spanish Donald knows Shay. Then I'm
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: gonna tell you when I was when I when I
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: was a waiter, my best friends were the bus boys
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: and they were all Mexican, Mexican fellows who didn't speak
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: much English, and I didn't speak in Spanish, and so
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: all I would pick up was the ship that they
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: would yell at me and they would be like, rappy
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: do pinch away. They would call them cock is skeleton right? Yeah? Yeah?
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: And then and then I had a bad I had
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: bad posture. I'd be sitting there and they and they go,
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: pinche cameo rappy doll, CAMEO is camel. They'd be like,
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: come on, camel, hurry up. Mean like I like that
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: they called skeleton man, they called you the fucking skeleton.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: But we were we we loved each other. We were
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: cracking up. We would it was. It was. It was
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: one of those awesome relationships where we didn't really understand
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: each other, but we fucking laughed harder than ever, you
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: know what I mean, when you work in a restaurant,
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: you know, like when ship hits the fan and you're
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: just like buried, and like you just had to laugh
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: at a certain point. And this was like a fan
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: you know, I've told the story of Ze Times was a
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: a fancy restaurant everything. You just have a Saturday night
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: at prime time, you just have to laugh, like, all right,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: every table is gonna be mad because X y Z
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: just happened. You just have to giggle. Anyway, would not
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: be the way. Yeah, I don't know, Shay, I'm gonna
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: let you say if this is true or not. But
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: the Hispanic culture busting people's chops a lot, right, I mean,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: you're always trying to kind of look fun at people
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: took fun at each other. I don't know if that's
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: that's such a generalization. My ex's family was that way. Well,
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: I think that's American culture too, because that's all Donald
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: I do too. Well, yeah, that's true, that's true. Yeah,
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: but I think it was definitely those words that would
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: come in they I can't remember anything they used to
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: call me, but oh yeah, a little wilder, that's wilder.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: All right. We should probably begin to end the show, um, right,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: because it's gone along. Yes, do you have another fixure?
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: I don't think she needs another fix your life? What
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: else we fixed your life? Yeah? Go ahead. I I
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: just think, you know, this relationship it's so far fetched.
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: I get it, you know, but it is for real.
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: It's bringing you. Nobody thinks it's far fetched, Chrissy. Nobody thinks.
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: Fact that you found the fact that you found love
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: the way you found love is a great thing, and
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: the fact that we're a part of it makes us
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: feel great about going to officiate the wedding. We're just
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: trying to make sure that you protect yourself before you
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: riggidy wreck yourself because you don't know. I mean, granted,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: you guys have a lot of conversation online and stuff
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: like that, but you know, we just had so much
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: in common with how much we love the show and
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: all the music from it and all that. That's great.
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: And listen, all I want to say is, Chrissy, I
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: really remember this. You're lit up. You know, you're really
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: lit up, and that's all we want. We want to
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: bring you to be very happy for that. And I'm
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: very happy that I was a part of I'm very
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: happy that I was a part of your connection, your
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: love connection. We're so happy that you found someone. And
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: who knows, you know, this could be something serious or not.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: Who cares. The fact is that you're putting yourself out
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: there and you're and you did it all during COVID
- 1:28:18Speaker 1: and that's great and we're very very happy for you. Oh,
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: thank you so much. It's been it's been really cool.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: I mean, it was like I said when I was
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: on the first time, it's like, oh, it's a dream
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: come true. But then like, actually, this guy, he's a
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: dream come true. He's just and it's just so funny,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: you know that we met this way, and it's not
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: like everybody. It's not like I had more than one
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: person who was like, you know, looking at me that way.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: It was just more this guy, he was like, I
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: really just thought you had a very interesting story. And
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: then more we got to know each other. It was
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: just kind of meant to be. So this is great.
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: Listen if if it does work out, I'm just saying,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: if it does, who knows, it would be a really
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: great podcast finale for us. If Donald and I could marry,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: now you had a time, because that would be after
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: season nine and we're only on five or more maybe
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: probably that's probably about two years from now. So if
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: he doesn't, I never did in the Mass, we did
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: this over a year. Yeah, maybe it would be probably
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: two years. Yeah, see how it coached. Even if we
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: even if we could, maybe we'll just um do your
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: commitment ceremony or you know what we'll do, Donald, I
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: just won't ever get licensed, and so it'll be total
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: bullshit and so it'll just be for everyone to enjoy,
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: but it won't really mean anything. Well it's a practice, Yeah,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: it'll be we'll do the practice from we'll do the
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: audition for you, audition if you were involved in any way,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: shape or form, even if you just sent us some
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: kombucha to the wedding way, well, don't get ahead of yourself,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: but don't get And I love it and I I'm
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: so happy, Chris, thank you so much. Thank you at
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: least and please let Joel um know how how it
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: goes in England. You're gonna love it over there. I
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: I too, have had a lot of fun in that.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: I was gonna say I had so much. I wouldn't
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: ask about that, but I'm sure you know flow. I'm
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: not sure where she's from originally in England, Oxford, Oxford.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: I don't think you'll be spending much time up there,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: although I could give you lots of recommendations if you were.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: But anyway, you have a great time and um and
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: please keep us abreast of your situation. I won't tell
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: your mother I said hello and thank you. Yes, And
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: the book is called The Falling Downtime For those of
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: you who are going through a similar divorce. When you
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: need to explain what's happening to young children, you're not hearing.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: You're just not only hearing it from a woman who
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: went through divorced with children, but she's a divorce attorney
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: and she recommends it. So I'm I know I'm biased,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: but take Chrissy's word for it. My mom's book, The
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: Falling Downtime, written by a child psychologist, is on Amazon. Chris,
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: you make you want to say before you go, I
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: got well one more thing, you know. Shout out to Martin,
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: my love and he is he's also a child of divorce,
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: and I think if if he and some of mine
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: Zach can can grow up to be these happy, healthy,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: well adjusted, successful men, that's all I can pray for
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: for my kids. And so that's the kind of person
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: I want them to be. So I'm going to She said,
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: I was well adjusted. She don't know. She don't know
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: you very well, bro, she doesn't know you meet my
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: compliment asked, okay, take it. Take it. In that moment,
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: I was well adjusted, and then it went away. Okay,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: well get adjust, get back adjusted. I am. I'm going
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: to chiropractor next week. All right, Chrissy, thank you so much.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: We appreciate you. Thank you all baby that shah. You know,
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: I would say the same thing to you, buddy. I
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: would say the same thing to you if you were
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: going someplace. I would say the same thing to all
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: of you, if you were going someplace to meet somebody
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: that you only met online. I would warn all of
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: you that, of course, you know, to have a backup plan.
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: I don't want anything, I don't think, to be honest,
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: anyone out there to think, because she's going over there,
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: that she needs to protect herself. This, by the way,
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: I think every she should do. She's not going to
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: listen to me because she made a joke that we
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: were like being her parents. She should go plant down
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: at the cousin's house and then go meet him at
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: a restaurant like she's going on a normal date and
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: if they click, like they're obviously going to click because
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: they're facetiming all the time and probably having I imagine
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: internet sex. Um, then just go home with them like
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you would on a normal date that goes well, but
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: like go put your bags down at your cousin's house.
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: That's what I would do. I agree with that. I
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: would grown ass woman and do what she wants her life. Um.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: All right, Well that was the show. Check out all
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: of Shay's writing at halfway books dot com. Shay, You're
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: the best guest we ever have on I'll take it.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: It's a live but I'll take it. I noticed your
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: Blood and Blood Out poster that you got up on
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: the back. I'll tell you something right now, you got
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: some I got some poison for the spider, but but
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: for tomorrow. That right, there's one of my favorite movie,
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: Blood and Blood Out. It's one of my favorite movies.
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: Is about It's like Kate Kid, No it's not. It's
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: about these three cousins, right, the three cousins, and one
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: of them is an artist, one of them grows to
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: become a cop, and the one that's the white one,
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: the one that has so much to prove becomes a
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: fucking felon dude, like a fucking a bad guy in
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: the prison system. And it's such a fucking great movie.
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: It was it wasn't It originally called Bound by Honor
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: or something like that, and then they changed it to
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: Blood and Blood. This is because this is one of
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: the best. This is one of dopest movies. This is
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: would introduced everybody to Benjamin Bratt too. Benjamin brattson this.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: This is one of the first movies before before he
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: did Long Ordergram continues to overlap I love I love
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: this so much, you have nobody else ever knows about
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: this movie. Donald knows. The alternate title Dude, that was
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: one of my jams man. We used to watch that
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: ship back in the day, me and my buddy Sean Ellis.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: We used to watch that back in the day. It
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: was because it was so dope and mostly because of
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: been Brat, because he was so cool in this ship,
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Like dude he he plays
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: He plays an undercover cop who kind of forgets about
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: where he comes from. And the dude from Fame, Jesse
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: from Fame, fucking reminds him of where he's from. Dude,
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: it is one of the dopest movies. Man. Well, to
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: make sure they never exchange Pea, because I really have
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: a pang of jealousy in my heart. All right, everybody,
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: thank you so much for tuning in. Um we love
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: you very much. Be kind out there. It's rough, man. Wow,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: the earth is having a the powers that be and
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: the Earth Mother Earth are are upset. Let's just leave
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: it at that and be nice to each other. Be kind,
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: be loving. It's so easy to be nice, and it's
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: so easy to be kind. It's one of the easiest
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: things to do. Mad. Think about all the energy you
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: have to muster up to be a dick and to
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: be mad and to be angry, and it could be
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: his them all as holding the door for someone, or
- 1:35:02Speaker 1: as as tiny as not writing the hateful tweet to
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: someone that you were about to write. Just be kind.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Let's this is rough out there for people, and people
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: are are are struggling, and there's no reason for you
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: not to be loving and kind. As the truck that
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: passed me said on the back of it, be kind,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: be careful, be yourself, Shay, is there anything you want
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: to say no. That's a perfect message to end on.
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: I'm in a total agreement. Don't send me mean tweets,
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: all right, don't counts out baby about you. We made
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: about a bunch of docs and nurses stories. Sound yea
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: mm hmm
