- 0:09Speaker 1: Hey everybody, I'm Megan, I'm Wendy, and welcome to a
- 0:13Speaker 1: very special Girls Gone Christmas episode of Long Story Short
- 0:18Speaker 1: the podcast.
- 0:20Speaker 2: I'm excited.
- 0:22Speaker 1: So what you should know about this is this is
- 0:27Speaker 1: a bonus episode of our regular podcast, and you can
- 0:32Speaker 1: click back through to all previous episodes of our podcast.
- 0:35Speaker 1: So that's not going to change. Our normal Tuesday episodes
- 0:37Speaker 1: will continue to drop, however, Wendy and yes, it was
- 0:43Speaker 1: Wendy who suggested this. Had an idea last week and
- 0:49Speaker 1: why don't you take it away?
- 0:50Speaker 2: So I was going to bed at night and you
- 0:53Speaker 2: know when you have those thoughts right before you hit
- 0:55Speaker 2: the pillow or right before you fall asleep, and I
- 0:56Speaker 2: was like, we should recap Hallmark Christmas movies. Now, look,
- 1:01Speaker 2: I know it's not a original idea, and there's probably
- 1:05Speaker 2: tons of other podcasts that do this, but what is
- 1:07Speaker 2: different is Megan loves Christmas and loves a Hallmark Christmas
- 1:12Speaker 2: movie and I can't stand them.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So I was going to ask, prior to this year,
- 1:18Speaker 1: last year, did you watch any never I've never watched one.
- 1:23Speaker 1: And this is your this is your inaugural Hallmark Christmas experience. Yes?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Who?
- 1:29Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:30Speaker 2: I didn't even know if we have the channel, so.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yes, Oh, speaking of so, I don't have the channel,
- 1:37Speaker 1: so we cut cable at the beginning of this year.
- 1:40Speaker 1: We use YouTube TV and there's no Hallmark channel on
- 1:43Speaker 1: YouTube TV. So we have the Friendly app frndl Y If,
- 1:48Speaker 1: like me, your cable company or your streaming service doesn't
- 1:52Speaker 1: carry the Hallmark channel, that's the best way to watch
- 1:54Speaker 1: these movies. We have the upgraded version that allows you
- 1:59Speaker 1: to fast forward throughmmercials because I cannot. There are so
- 2:02Speaker 1: many commercials in these movies, especially the original airings, that
- 2:08Speaker 1: I need that ability. I would caution you against the
- 2:11Speaker 1: Hallmark Movies Now app, which does not carry all the
- 2:15Speaker 1: new releases. Why well, I don't know, but they must
- 2:21Speaker 1: have some agreement. But Friendly has both Hallmark channels as
- 2:25Speaker 1: well as UpTV and a couple of other options. And
- 2:29Speaker 1: one thing this is not sponsored by Friendly, but we
- 2:32Speaker 1: would love to take your money if you're out there.
- 2:35Speaker 1: They have a feature it's called seventy two hour look back,
- 2:38Speaker 1: So anything in the past three days that has aired
- 2:42Speaker 1: you can watch like it's on your DVR. So if
- 2:45Speaker 1: you forget to record something, it's there, which is yes, great.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I'm going to say, because that's how what happened with
- 2:51Speaker 2: jingle Ball Bride. I went to watch it on demand
- 2:54Speaker 2: and it was ready to expire. So you have to
- 2:57Speaker 2: eat if you can have, if you can dbr these
- 3:02Speaker 2: do it because they're not on demand for a long
- 3:05Speaker 2: period of time.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and some of them will re air. But the
- 3:12Speaker 1: I have the Hallmark Movie Countdown to Christmas app and
- 3:19Speaker 1: it's actually becuse me, it's the Hallmark Movie Checklist app.
- 3:25Speaker 1: That's so megan and they have and it's not just
- 3:29Speaker 1: for Christmas movies, although this is the only time I
- 3:31Speaker 1: use it, but you can have it create a list
- 3:34Speaker 1: for you either based on all the new releases or
- 3:37Speaker 1: all of the airing Christmas movies that you can check
- 3:39Speaker 1: off the ones that you've seen. It will tell you
- 3:41Speaker 1: when they're airing, it will send you reminders. We should say.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Hallmark has two channels with air Christmas movies, so they're
- 3:48Speaker 1: Standard channel and then they also have their Hallmark Movies
- 3:52Speaker 1: and Mysteries channel, and on that channel they air they're
- 3:55Speaker 1: Miracles of Christmas, which are also new releases. For the
- 3:59Speaker 1: purpose of this podcast, we're just doing standard Hallmark releases
- 4:03Speaker 1: and we're doing one per weekend of new releases. Yes,
- 4:09Speaker 1: so are you ready? I am ready? So our very
- 4:13Speaker 1: first episode is the first Hallmark movie that dropped of
- 4:18Speaker 1: the season, and it is Jingle Bell Bride.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna read the synopsis. According to the official
- 4:28Speaker 2: Hallmark Channel website, are you ready?
- 4:31Speaker 1: I'm ready?
- 4:32Speaker 2: Wedding planner Jessica Perez travels to a remote town in
- 4:35Speaker 2: Alaska to find a rare flower for a celebrity client
- 4:38Speaker 2: and is charmed by the small town during Christmas, as
- 4:41Speaker 2: well as the handsome local helping her.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I would say that's not totally accurate. Okay, go ahead, okay,
- 4:55Speaker 1: because I okay, she's charmed by the small town. Now,
- 5:02Speaker 1: is that your opinion of her reaction to this small town?
- 5:06Speaker 2: No, she was inconvenienced buy everything in this small town
- 5:12Speaker 2: in Alaska.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Now, I know, we've got to have a story arc, right,
- 5:17Speaker 1: It doesn't work if she just shows up. There's got
- 5:19Speaker 1: to be some sort of conflict. And typically Hallmark movies
- 5:22Speaker 1: have a main plot, and in this case, you know,
- 5:25Speaker 1: we've got the story of her needing to get this
- 5:28Speaker 1: very special flower. What's the flower called? A jingle bell flower?
- 5:34Speaker 1: That's all it's called.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yes, okay, which I wondered if his actual a real
- 5:39Speaker 2: thing or not.
- 5:41Speaker 1: So that you know, we have kind of the main storyline,
- 5:43Speaker 1: which is this wedding planner needs to get this rare
- 5:46Speaker 1: flower that is only available right now from these growers
- 5:49Speaker 1: in Alaska back in time to her high profile celebrity
- 5:54Speaker 1: client's wedding, and then of course we have the love
- 5:59Speaker 1: story that happens on the side, and then we have
- 6:02Speaker 1: plot c. So the two lead actors are Julie Gonzalo
- 6:07Speaker 1: who plays Jessica, and Ronnie Road Junior who plays Matt.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Now Jessica, okay, so she's got that scar at the
- 6:17Speaker 2: top of her nose, right.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Okay, I don't even remember noticing what I mean.
- 6:23Speaker 2: That's like her identifying mark for me. Like when I
- 6:26Speaker 2: see her in a movie, I go, oh, yeah, that's
- 6:27Speaker 2: the chick from Christmas with the Cranks, Like have you
- 6:31Speaker 2: ever seen that movie?
- 6:32Speaker 1: I have. I am impressed that you made that connection.
- 6:35Speaker 1: She's in a ton of these Hallmark movies. No, yes, okay, Oh,
- 6:40Speaker 1: the jingle bell flower is a thing. It is a
- 6:42Speaker 1: real thing. Yes, I'm not it too, is not.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Even that pretty. I don't I wouldn't want them in
- 6:47Speaker 2: my wedding.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Well, you know, obviously the appeal was that they were
- 6:51Speaker 1: her grandmother's flowers. Although you know, when we talk, I
- 6:56Speaker 1: have several plot hole issues with this episode, and one
- 6:59Speaker 1: of them is this woman loves her grandmother so much
- 7:02Speaker 1: and she only just looked at a photo of her
- 7:04Speaker 1: grandmother's wedding two weeks before her own, and it didn't
- 7:07Speaker 1: occur to her like prior to this, she had this
- 7:10Speaker 1: whole wedding plan and then all of a sudden had
- 7:11Speaker 1: this change of heart. That's a that's one of my issues.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And I want to say that I do feel a
- 7:19Speaker 1: little bit badly because, as Wendy mentioned, she's never watched
- 7:22Speaker 1: a Hallmark movie. I'm gonna say, up top, this was
- 7:25Speaker 1: not one of the best.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Okay, I'm so glad you said that, because I didn't
- 7:31Speaker 2: really enjoy it.
- 7:33Speaker 1: It was not my favorite at all.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Why do you think they came out swinging in with
- 7:37Speaker 2: this one, like don't you want like a really good
- 7:42Speaker 2: Christmas movie?
- 7:43Speaker 1: This was not it. I can understand, like why you
- 7:47Speaker 1: might want to come out with your top billing first, Yeah,
- 7:51Speaker 1: but also we have to remember that this was released
- 7:53Speaker 1: in October, and if you look at the Hallmark movie
- 7:57Speaker 1: calendar schedule. Where's the Candace Cameron Beret movie. It's late,
- 8:03Speaker 1: it's deep in the schedule. They want you in full
- 8:06Speaker 1: blown holiday mode when they're bringing in their big guns.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So I do think there's something to be said for
- 8:13Speaker 1: burying an episode like this up top. Okay, all right,
- 8:17Speaker 1: we talk about things about this movie that I loved. Yes, yes, yes, okay.
- 8:22Speaker 1: The first thing, and I don't know if you noticed this,
- 8:25Speaker 1: but when Maddy Finocchio comes walking around the corner, Megan,
- 8:31Speaker 1: that didn't that accord to you?
- 8:33Speaker 2: I wrote? Okay, I wrote, notes, hold on a second,
- 8:38Speaker 2: Hold on a damn second. The airport guy looks familiar.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I couldn't.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I couldn't remember where he was from. Now, do you know? Yes? Okay,
- 8:49Speaker 1: my dad Date my Dad. So Wendy and I a
- 8:52Speaker 1: few years ago worked with up TV and we hosted
- 8:56Speaker 1: the pre show for a television launch, and the show
- 9:00Speaker 1: was called Date My Dad. It featured Barry Watson as
- 9:03Speaker 1: the lead and we will drop a photo of us
- 9:06Speaker 1: with our life size Barry Watson cut out. And for
- 9:09Speaker 1: nine weeks we hosted this pre show. But one of
- 9:11Speaker 1: the co stars was Maddie Finocchio and I'll be honest,
- 9:13Speaker 1: that was my first exposure to him, although I had
- 9:17Speaker 1: probably seen him before, but because we were so kind
- 9:19Speaker 1: of closely working with that show. Very funny in the show,
- 9:24Speaker 1: and so to see him that really was one of
- 9:27Speaker 1: the high points of this movie for me. He's the
- 9:30Speaker 1: pilot and also the mechanic, and I was just happy
- 9:34Speaker 1: to see him.
- 9:35Speaker 2: That's hilarious because I was like, where is I know
- 9:38Speaker 2: this guy's face?
- 9:39Speaker 1: I could not.
- 9:40Speaker 2: And it wasn't even a big role he had in
- 9:42Speaker 2: this He had a big role on Date My Dad.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It was a very minor role in this movie. Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: he had a supporting role. He had a small storyline
- 9:50Speaker 1: with a little like unrequited love with the mayor that
- 9:53Speaker 1: they did finally get together again. Spoiler By the way,
- 9:57Speaker 1: these episodes are going to be full of spoilers. I
- 10:00Speaker 1: also loved Matt's family. Okay, his aunt and his cousin.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I loved them. I don't always love the supporting characters,
- 10:10Speaker 1: but I really liked them. And one thing I liked is,
- 10:16Speaker 1: you know, a lot of times the storylines in these
- 10:19Speaker 1: movies have to do with people leaving home and the
- 10:22Speaker 1: families ought, you know, they want them to come back
- 10:25Speaker 1: home and why are you off in that big city?
- 10:26Speaker 1: And I felt like their feeling was they wanted him
- 10:30Speaker 1: to do what was best for him. Right, he had
- 10:32Speaker 1: lived in New York, he came back home to help
- 10:36Speaker 1: out his family, and I always felt like, of course
- 10:39Speaker 1: they loved having him there, but I felt like they
- 10:41Speaker 1: were like, you need to do what's best for you.
- 10:43Speaker 1: We can hand you know, you don't need to take
- 10:45Speaker 1: care of everybody all the time. I just loved them.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Did you notice their southern accent? No? For the these Alaskans.
- 10:53Speaker 1: With their southern accent, No, I did not.
- 10:59Speaker 2: I think there is an element that you have to
- 11:02Speaker 2: suspend belief.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Is that what the saying is like? When I watched
- 11:06Speaker 1: these movies, Yeah, I mean it is very obvious sometimes
- 11:10Speaker 1: that many of these are not filmed in the winter,
- 11:13Speaker 1: right the soap bubble snow becomes very obvious. That is
- 11:17Speaker 1: a trope you'll see over and over again. Sometimes it's
- 11:22Speaker 1: snowing on the screen, but not on the people. I mean,
- 11:25Speaker 1: you just kind of gotta go with it.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Sunny blue skies and snow blowing from them.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you gotta go with it. I loved in the
- 11:36Speaker 1: Christmas party scene, I don't know if you noticed, but
- 11:40Speaker 1: they had these Christmas tree shelves. No, I didn't notice
- 11:45Speaker 1: where they were putting all their little jars.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Oh I did, Okay, yes, yes, yes.
- 11:52Speaker 1: And what I thought they were beautiful. And one thing
- 11:55Speaker 1: you will notice is that sometimes set design gets a
- 12:00Speaker 1: little weak in these movies. So you know, it's like
- 12:02Speaker 1: sometimes when they gotta cut the budget, that's why they're
- 12:05Speaker 1: gonna cut it. And I thought, really, that was a
- 12:07Speaker 1: moment where I thought those were they just they struck
- 12:10Speaker 1: me as really beautifully done, and I thought they absolutely
- 12:14Speaker 1: could have totally taken that as a place to cut
- 12:16Speaker 1: the budget. But they, I don't know, they look tand made.
- 12:18Speaker 1: I thought they were beautiful. I want them in my house. Okay,
- 12:21Speaker 1: we'll see if we can find a picture of those
- 12:23Speaker 1: to drop in the show notes because I thought it
- 12:26Speaker 1: was the most beautiful part of the movie.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Okay, So I have some questions for you, considering this
- 12:30Speaker 2: is my first ride into the Hallmark movie. Yes, is
- 12:34Speaker 2: it typical for a Hallmark movie, especially a Christmas movie,
- 12:39Speaker 2: to have the two main characters love interests be of
- 12:44Speaker 2: different races.
- 12:45Speaker 1: I think that is a new thing. And one thing
- 12:48Speaker 1: it's fairly new it's definitely not unheard of. But one
- 12:51Speaker 1: thing I noticed both in this movie and the movie
- 12:54Speaker 1: we're reviewing tomorrow, the casts are getting more diverse, which
- 12:58Speaker 1: I appreciate.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Love it, and I love it.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Would like to see, you know, the diversity to go
- 13:04Speaker 1: even farther than that, like body diversity, because you've got
- 13:08Speaker 1: a lot we have some racial diversity, but everyone's like
- 13:11Speaker 1: thin and beautiful, so we don't need everyone to be
- 13:14Speaker 1: a size too. But I do think that was a
- 13:17Speaker 1: step in the right direction. This had a good diverse cast.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Okay, So here's some other things that I thought were
- 13:25Speaker 2: kind of funny. Yes, the scene where they're at the
- 13:28Speaker 2: dance at the end, Yes, the two main characters are
- 13:32Speaker 2: slow dancing to Silent Night, but in the background people
- 13:37Speaker 2: are fast dancing and there is a band playing on
- 13:41Speaker 2: the stage. So I was like, what is happening here?
- 13:44Speaker 2: Who is not paying attention when they were shooting that scene?
- 13:48Speaker 1: That I cannot answer for you, but I think that's
- 13:52Speaker 1: another one of those budget moments. So much. Okay, it's
- 13:56Speaker 1: more of a question. Okay, ask me.
- 13:58Speaker 2: It's a Christmas question. Yes, I know you've been to
- 14:01Speaker 2: the snow. I've only been to the snow like once
- 14:03Speaker 2: or twice in my lifetime. Have you made a snow
- 14:05Speaker 2: angel in your life?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Never? Never, because no, I've never used The snow has
- 14:12Speaker 1: to be powdery in order to make a snow angel.
- 14:14Speaker 1: And I've you know, first of all, California snows never powdery.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It's always iceing. It doesn't get that cold. I don't
- 14:19Speaker 1: think I've ever made a snow angel.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Okay, because there's a scene where Jessica and Matt they're
- 14:27Speaker 2: they're getting hot cocoa and they're gonna go make these
- 14:30Speaker 2: snow angels, and they're looking for like the perfect spot.
- 14:33Speaker 2: They blindly fall back into the snow to make their
- 14:37Speaker 2: snow angel. And all I could think was, like, I
- 14:40Speaker 2: would get a head concussion if we tried to fall
- 14:43Speaker 2: back into the snow here in southern California right.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Well, and especially in this case because you know it's
- 14:50Speaker 1: just concrete with a dusting of whatever right on top
- 14:53Speaker 1: of it. I was very worried for them in that moment.
- 14:56Speaker 1: But I would not ever blindly fall back onto end anything.
- 15:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:01Speaker 1: That's a good candidate for now.
- 15:03Speaker 2: That's why I wanted to ask you to see if
- 15:05Speaker 2: you've ever done that before. Like, is that a thing
- 15:07Speaker 2: is that when you make snow angels, you fall back
- 15:10Speaker 2: blindly and just make your angel like I need I
- 15:13Speaker 2: need someone to email.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Us and let us snow I think in order to
- 15:17Speaker 1: make it perfect, that would be probably the best way
- 15:19Speaker 1: to do it.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Otherwise you're going to have like a big angel ass
- 15:23Speaker 2: sit down in it, right.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but they do just kind of stand up normally
- 15:29Speaker 1: out of it. You can't like levitate out of a
- 15:31Speaker 1: snow angel, and that seems like that would be the
- 15:33Speaker 1: most important part. So you know, I think you gotta
- 15:36Speaker 1: let go quality at some point.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Got it? Got it? Okay, let's talk plot holes.
- 15:42Speaker 1: There's one glaring one for me. Okay. So Jessica is
- 15:46Speaker 1: hoping that this wedding is the thing that gets hurt
- 15:48Speaker 1: the big promotion at work. She keeps saying like, I'll
- 15:50Speaker 1: be back in time. I'll be back in time. I'll
- 15:52Speaker 1: be back in time. And she has a nemesis at
- 15:53Speaker 1: work who wants to take this wedding away from her,
- 15:57Speaker 1: and she keeps going into their boss to try and
- 15:59Speaker 1: get of the wedding. She knew that she was going
- 16:02Speaker 1: to be delayed. They said it was going to take
- 16:04Speaker 1: until it take three days to get the part that
- 16:06Speaker 1: she needed, and she had been in communication with her boss.
- 16:08Speaker 1: And then this is a weird thing that happens at
- 16:11Speaker 1: the dance. This is how it happened. At the dance.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They discovered that the park came in early for the airplane.
- 16:16Speaker 1: For the air He's like, my understanding is that he
- 16:19Speaker 1: said the park came in early. I'm going to go
- 16:22Speaker 1: fix the plane and we can leave tomorrow morning. Okay.
- 16:25Speaker 1: She calls her boss to tell her she's coming home,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and at that point, her boss pulls the plug and says,
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I have to hand over control to your nemesis. Okay.
- 16:36Speaker 1: If she's coming home earlier than she was supposed to
- 16:40Speaker 1: or at the very least on time, why at that
- 16:44Speaker 1: point do they make the decision to yank the wedding.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Because I get it, if you had done it earlier,
- 16:51Speaker 1: there'd be no story, right, Like, why would she be
- 16:52Speaker 1: rushing home? There would be no reason for her to
- 16:55Speaker 1: go back. Yeah, and yet it bothered me. Yeah, it
- 16:59Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense. It doesn't make any sense. It
- 17:01Speaker 1: doesn't make any sense.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And I don't know why did they need that
- 17:05Speaker 2: storyline that she was that the nemesis was trying to
- 17:09Speaker 2: take the job. At the very least, there's still an
- 17:13Speaker 2: urgency to get back because the wedding is coming up, right.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I mean, my feeling is they just needed to have
- 17:19Speaker 1: kind of like that bad guy playing in the background
- 17:22Speaker 1: so that there's even more urgency for her to come back,
- 17:24Speaker 1: as opposed to her having a situation where everyone's like,
- 17:27Speaker 1: don't worry, we'll support you, will help you out. We
- 17:29Speaker 1: understand because it was out of her control, right, although
- 17:34Speaker 1: her boss did say why don't you send a courier,
- 17:36Speaker 1: she tried to handle along her own. It's not like
- 17:39Speaker 1: she was really at fault. But I guess it makes
- 17:42Speaker 1: for a more interesting storyline if someone's coming and trying
- 17:44Speaker 1: to steal the job away, as opposed to I think
- 17:47Speaker 1: in a normal situation, if you had a company like that,
- 17:49Speaker 1: you'd have people saying we'll step in and help on
- 17:51Speaker 1: your behalf.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I got questions for you. Do you think it was
- 17:55Speaker 2: necessary that she was crowned Princess jingle Bell.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Or I hated that. I imagine like.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Some teenager who really thought it was gonna be her
- 18:05Speaker 2: a year's real fisted that this chick from New York
- 18:09Speaker 2: came in.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And swooped the title. I mean, I you know, their
- 18:14Speaker 1: way of dragging her into the middle of all the ceremony.
- 18:17Speaker 1: But I did feel like it was unnecessary. I really
- 18:21Speaker 1: hated that storyline also because she did nothing except where
- 18:24Speaker 1: that stupid crown and like stand there smiling every once
- 18:27Speaker 1: in a while. She was kind of she did not
- 18:31Speaker 1: love this town's tradition. She did not understand why they
- 18:34Speaker 1: had days of holiday plans.
- 18:36Speaker 2: And oh, here's the other thing. Did the girl just
- 18:39Speaker 2: fall off the turnip truck because she didn't realize that
- 18:41Speaker 2: they had short days in Alaska.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Or that their like cell reception wouldn't be great?
- 18:47Speaker 2: I know, I was like, is she so focused on
- 18:51Speaker 2: work that she doesn't realize that there's life happening around her?
- 18:55Speaker 2: Is that the moral of the story.
- 18:58Speaker 1: It's not a Hallmark movie if you don't have a
- 19:00Speaker 1: character in a small town walking around holding their phone
- 19:03Speaker 1: out trying to find like the one space and reception
- 19:07Speaker 1: because they're so Can you hear me blown away by
- 19:10Speaker 1: the fact that this isn't the big city anymore funny?
- 19:15Speaker 2: That is another question for you. Did you feel chemistry
- 19:20Speaker 2: between our two lead actors? No?
- 19:23Speaker 1: I liked him way more than I liked her.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Oh, I said, like, I didn't feel I need some
- 19:28Speaker 2: sexual tension.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You're not.
- 19:31Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm expecting. I'm expecting lifetime movies.
- 19:37Speaker 2: Maybe I don't know.
- 19:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna be real disappointed because the most you're gonna
- 19:41Speaker 1: get is a kiss, and pretty much it usually happens
- 19:43Speaker 1: in the final scene of the movie.
- 19:45Speaker 2: I don't expect them to be in bed together. I
- 19:48Speaker 2: just expect some like good tension between the two.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Leads yeah, and leads well, and the episode of reviewing tomorrow,
- 19:57Speaker 1: I think you'll we get that a little bit. But
- 19:59Speaker 1: I was, I was not rooting for them. I have
- 20:01Speaker 1: to say, there are some movies that I will watch
- 20:05Speaker 1: more than once, or i'll watch in subsequent years because
- 20:08Speaker 1: they re air them for years and years and years.
- 20:12Speaker 1: This will not be one of them. Yeah, here's the thing.
- 20:15Speaker 2: She gets back to New York. The wedding is saved,
- 20:17Speaker 2: flowers are to be had. Oh and Matt decides to
- 20:21Speaker 2: move to New York and all is well.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like he it was like he just like
- 20:28Speaker 1: decides hops on a plane moves to New York that easy,
- 20:30Speaker 1: in like a twenty four hour period, again not terribly believable,
- 20:36Speaker 1: and her reaction to seeing him was like huh mio.
- 20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, very mild. And he says, oh, I thought you
- 20:45Speaker 2: might need a date to the wedding. No, no, no, no, no,
- 20:48Speaker 2: you just don't crash a wedding like that, Like what
- 20:52Speaker 2: is happening?
- 20:52Speaker 1: Yes, you're supposed to be working, yes, not invited? Right
- 20:57Speaker 1: right right, And even if you were, you can't bring
- 21:00Speaker 1: a surprise date to a wedding.
- 21:02Speaker 2: I know, I'm so annoyed by these stupid, minor little
- 21:07Speaker 2: plot points, but.
- 21:08Speaker 1: There are rules. Oh, jingle Bell Bride.
- 21:12Speaker 2: I give it a two out of four stars. I
- 21:16Speaker 2: did not fall asleep in the middle of it, so
- 21:19Speaker 2: that is a plus. All right, anything else you want
- 21:21Speaker 2: to add to Jingle Bell Bride?
- 21:24Speaker 1: I think that's a wrap for me on jingle Bell Bride.
- 21:26Speaker 1: All right, we'll be back tomorrow with our second bonus
- 21:30Speaker 1: episode of the week. This is a special week and
- 21:32Speaker 1: we will be recapping on the twelfth date of Christmas.
- 21:35Speaker 1: If you want to watch it so you can listen
- 21:37Speaker 1: along with us and we'll see you then. Bye bye.
