- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the almost famous podcast with her radio. Hey Bob, Hey,
- 0:05Speaker 1: how you doing? Man? Good? Nice to meet you, well,
- 0:08Speaker 1: nice to meet Where are you? Nice to meet you too.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Where are you right now? I'm in California right now
- 0:13Speaker 1: seeing some family. Oh very nice? Is this where you're
- 0:16Speaker 1: from originally? Or yeah? Originally from my Anaheim? So southern
- 0:20Speaker 1: California boy, and uh then just been living in Texas.
- 0:24Speaker 1: But come on, everybody else tries to move to California,
- 0:27Speaker 1: you move away, look at you exactly. I'm in Austin,
- 0:32Speaker 1: um right now, keeping it weird in Austin. Ye've been
- 0:36Speaker 1: isn't that the isn't that what they say? Oh, I've
- 0:37Speaker 1: been a ton. Yeah. I used to go to south
- 0:39Speaker 1: By Southwest all the time. I loved it. Yeah, is
- 0:43Speaker 1: fun a cl all those wild events. So Zach, you
- 0:48Speaker 1: need to know they're calling this o G and the
- 0:51Speaker 1: new Guy? Did you know that? I like it? First
- 0:55Speaker 1: and foremost? Did you even ever even hear of my
- 0:59Speaker 1: season of the Bachelor? So my name is Bob Guinny.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I was Bachelor's season four trist Wren's reject who was
- 1:07Speaker 1: given its own season of the show disastrous season. By
- 1:11Speaker 1: the way, did you happen to see that one. No,
- 1:14Speaker 1: I haven't watched I haven't watched much of any uh
- 1:18Speaker 1: of any of the previous Bachelor's seasons, to be honest,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but you know I did my research on you a
- 1:23Speaker 1: little bit. I did you're the Bachelor before Jesse? Yes? Yes,
- 1:27Speaker 1: And Jesse is a good friend of mine. I paved
- 1:29Speaker 1: the road for that, man, I will tell you. Suggest
- 1:32Speaker 1: and I have a lot of mutual friends, and um,
- 1:35Speaker 1: oddly enough, I mean I really like him, but we've
- 1:38Speaker 1: never actually hung out in person like we've met. I
- 1:41Speaker 1: think we met a few times, like very briefly, and um,
- 1:44Speaker 1: but I think he's doing a great job as a
- 1:46Speaker 1: host of the show. I'm glad you guys are friends.
- 1:47Speaker 1: It's it makes it easier, right to navigate that whole thing. Well,
- 1:51Speaker 1: I was gonna say, you know, you walked so he
- 1:52Speaker 1: could run, so honestly, like he has so tell you, buddy,
- 1:59Speaker 1: Uh No, it was. It was great having Jesse's support.
- 2:03Speaker 1: I mean I got to know him a little bit
- 2:04Speaker 1: on the Bachelorette, you know, here and there when we're traveling.
- 2:08Speaker 1: But then we really had the chance obviously this season
- 2:10Speaker 1: because we're together a lot and you know, he always had,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know, pieces of advice and just always was someone
- 2:17Speaker 1: to talk to constantly, and and you know, he would
- 2:21Speaker 1: give me full feedback and bounce ideas and we do
- 2:23Speaker 1: that back and forth quite a bit. But him and
- 2:26Speaker 1: I are pretty similar, like with the sports background. So
- 2:29Speaker 1: half the time I was just talking about football. Talk
- 2:31Speaker 1: to your sports background. I didn't know that I played
- 2:34Speaker 1: college football, UM which cal Pauly, Yeah, I know it. Well. Yeah,
- 2:42Speaker 1: so I played there for five years. It was an
- 2:44Speaker 1: offensive lineman, so never really got to touch the ball
- 2:48Speaker 1: or do any cool things in the end zone. But
- 2:51Speaker 1: still love football to death. And him and I just
- 2:54Speaker 1: really talked about that a lot. Oh that's great. Yeah,
- 2:58Speaker 1: I played college football too. I played Michigan eight UM.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Much like Jesse. I was a quarterback. Unlike Jesse, I
- 3:04Speaker 1: didn't play. But it's nice, uh that one of us
- 3:08Speaker 1: of the three, or I guess two of us are
- 3:09Speaker 1: the three. Actually we're players. Now I feel really bad
- 3:12Speaker 1: about myself. Let's move on. Let's not talk about sports anymore,
- 3:15Speaker 1: all right, So let's talk about first and foremost. Um.
- 3:19Speaker 1: You brought it up about Um that you know you
- 3:22Speaker 1: had met him when you were on the Bachelotte. So
- 3:24Speaker 1: you were on the season the first season, I believe
- 3:27Speaker 1: where we had two bachelorettes, right, we had Rachel and Gabby.
- 3:33Speaker 1: It was a second season, like I said, you were
- 3:37Speaker 1: on the second season where we had two bachelorets with
- 3:40Speaker 1: Rachel and Gaby. So I mean the first thing that
- 3:42Speaker 1: goes once you're an old bachelor, your memory is the
- 3:44Speaker 1: first thing that you lose. Um, So, how was that experience?
- 3:48Speaker 1: And like, I mean you you chose to be in
- 3:51Speaker 1: the Rachel camp. Correct? Correct? Correct? I mean that would
- 3:55Speaker 1: be an awkward experience. I would think that that's it
- 3:57Speaker 1: just seems weird to me. Well, it definitely was, uh,
- 4:01Speaker 1: since it was still a first experience altogether, you know,
- 4:04Speaker 1: the first time ever being in this world, and and
- 4:07Speaker 1: it was you know, unique, but it was all I knew.
- 4:10Speaker 1: So I didn't know what it would look like with
- 4:12Speaker 1: just one bachelor it really but um, at first it
- 4:15Speaker 1: was a little interesting. Didn't know how to um, like
- 4:19Speaker 1: I said, approached something like this. But for my case,
- 4:22Speaker 1: it was real apparent very early that Rachel and I
- 4:26Speaker 1: did have a connection to where it was like, okay,
- 4:28Speaker 1: it almost doesn't matter, um that there's this two person dynamic,
- 4:33Speaker 1: but for many it did cause issues. So I could imagine. Yeah,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I mean that I couldn't even I got out of
- 4:39Speaker 1: the limit with Trista, so it was all eyes on,
- 4:42Speaker 1: you know, one person, and at least you knew this
- 4:44Speaker 1: is the person I'm gonna you know, be trying to
- 4:46Speaker 1: figure out how to get to know her and everything else.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I mean you had a little different dynamic going on. Yeah, yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 1: well with with Rachel. I mean it was a few
- 4:54Speaker 1: days in to the event, but like not the event,
- 4:57Speaker 1: the experience, but you talking about walking out of the
- 5:01Speaker 1: lima and just being like shocked and you know, nervous
- 5:04Speaker 1: with all the cameras and you're at the mansion and
- 5:06Speaker 1: then you have two very beautiful women right in front
- 5:09Speaker 1: of you that is terrified and you're like, okay, here's
- 5:12Speaker 1: my one shot. You know, at least remember my name.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And I couldn't even remember my own name. I actually
- 5:18Speaker 1: forgot it and uh totally you know, shop the bet
- 5:22Speaker 1: on that one. But I do that often. So but
- 5:25Speaker 1: it's my age more so, so let me ask you this, like,
- 5:27Speaker 1: when you get out of the lima, do you do anything,
- 5:30Speaker 1: because I know people do stuff, right they get out
- 5:32Speaker 1: of the car. They try to do something to make
- 5:34Speaker 1: themselves memorable. Did you do anything that made you memorable
- 5:38Speaker 1: in that moment? Not at all, Not at all. Actually,
- 5:42Speaker 1: you know, leading up to it, I was, you know,
- 5:44Speaker 1: trying to think of something creative or something fun, like
- 5:46Speaker 1: for something wild, because that's you know, what people typically do,
- 5:51Speaker 1: and I I'm someone that just like I think I
- 5:56Speaker 1: got in my own head. I was so nervous. Um Like,
- 5:59Speaker 1: I saw the cameras and I just like freaked out
- 6:02Speaker 1: and I was like, you know what, I think the
- 6:03Speaker 1: best way for me, you know, to give this a
- 6:06Speaker 1: fair shot is just be myself and meet the women
- 6:11Speaker 1: you know, as they are as I am, and not
- 6:13Speaker 1: do any kind of you know, gimmicks or anything like that.
- 6:16Speaker 1: And you know, through conversation hopefully that we'll have, you'll
- 6:20Speaker 1: get to know me. But I mean I still went
- 6:24Speaker 1: up there. I couldn't tell you what I actually said.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It was all a blur. And uh, I mean it
- 6:31Speaker 1: kept me around at least night one, right, So yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 1: well they kept a lot longer than that actually right now, Yeah, yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 1: quite quite some time after. But for you, remember what
- 6:42Speaker 1: your limo entrance was when you were on the Bachelor. Yeah,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you know, I was. I was basic, man, I mean
- 6:48Speaker 1: it was it was actually what I did inside the
- 6:50Speaker 1: mansion that sort of went next level. But we you know,
- 6:53Speaker 1: this was so early on when I was on the
- 6:55Speaker 1: show that no one really had a gimmick. In fact,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I was just telling the producers here tonight that the
- 7:00Speaker 1: guy that got out of the car with something special,
- 7:03Speaker 1: which was actually quite nice. Um, he had gone to Tiffany's.
- 7:06Speaker 1: He had gotten this you know bracelet and you know,
- 7:09Speaker 1: engraved with Trista's name on it, and we all looked
- 7:11Speaker 1: at him like he was just the devil. I mean
- 7:14Speaker 1: I remember thinking this guy, like, where's his head, man,
- 7:16Speaker 1: what's he doing? And um, it was it was almost
- 7:19Speaker 1: I think, probably jealousy more than anything that he had
- 7:21Speaker 1: thought of something that we didn't. But it was one
- 7:23Speaker 1: of those things where you know, and he almost he
- 7:25Speaker 1: kind of became the villain of the season, frankly, um,
- 7:28Speaker 1: because none of us had anything else going in the
- 7:31Speaker 1: front door. You know, we were all just like, Hi,
- 7:32Speaker 1: I'm Bob, nice to meet you. Um. Now, granted, once
- 7:34Speaker 1: we got inside, uh, you know, there's there's a lot
- 7:37Speaker 1: of stories about that one. I mean, I I was
- 7:39Speaker 1: you know, bringing up my my study of martial arts. Uh,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you know, which I which I did extensively. Uh. I
- 7:45Speaker 1: was doing TIBO at the time with Billy Blanks. Uh.
- 7:48Speaker 1: You know, it's a big deal as an infomercial. It
- 7:50Speaker 1: was probably outdated, but it was at the time. It
- 7:52Speaker 1: was a spectacular exercise regimen um and I just thought
- 7:55Speaker 1: it really made me somebody special. But it was funny.
- 7:58Speaker 1: We I mean, we were just a bunch of dudes
- 7:59Speaker 1: hanging out. And I think that was what made our
- 8:01Speaker 1: show special at the time, was the guys got along
- 8:03Speaker 1: so great and we weren't caddy with one another. It
- 8:06Speaker 1: was a very different environment at that time. How was
- 8:09Speaker 1: it with you, Like, what what was your dynamic with
- 8:10Speaker 1: the guys Once you're all in the house, everyone's sort
- 8:13Speaker 1: of hanging out. I mean, did you guys get along
- 8:15Speaker 1: or was it immediately something you know, a little friction
- 8:18Speaker 1: going on or anything like that. I mean, I'd say
- 8:22Speaker 1: for the most part, Uh, everyone got along. I think
- 8:25Speaker 1: everyone recognizes that it's such a crazy experience going on
- 8:29Speaker 1: and you're trying to just take it in and you
- 8:31Speaker 1: almost look four friends in this. Yeah, I think you
- 8:34Speaker 1: have the only one that's freaking out right now. Actually,
- 8:38Speaker 1: very early on, UM established a bunch of friends. Um,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you know, one in particular was was Nate, and Nate
- 8:45Speaker 1: was you know on that past season. And there was
- 8:49Speaker 1: a moment that night when we were taking you know,
- 8:52Speaker 1: the photo you do right before the road ceremony with
- 8:55Speaker 1: everyone and in the lead, uh, Nate and I as
- 8:59Speaker 1: well maybe another twenty other guys didn't have the opportunity
- 9:02Speaker 1: to speak with either of Gabby and Rachel just because
- 9:05Speaker 1: the night just took so long. Wait, so on the
- 9:07Speaker 1: first night you didn't speak to either lady, Nope. So dude,
- 9:11Speaker 1: you just got you got your rose based on the
- 9:13Speaker 1: fact that you are just jacked in a good looking dude.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Let's be honest. I think rose. You got the pity rose.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It was a pity rose. And I'm standing outside with
- 9:24Speaker 1: Nate and we just look at each other and we're like, wow,
- 9:27Speaker 1: we really just quarantined to just meet a bunch of dudes.
- 9:30Speaker 1: We're going home. It's been a really fun you know,
- 9:35Speaker 1: four hours. Yeah, it's been great night. Oh my god,
- 9:40Speaker 1: did you get a rose as well? He did? Yeah, yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: he did, and did a lot of the other guys
- 9:46Speaker 1: that we all got pity roses. But um, everyone you know,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you know, still in contact still, which is really cool. Yeah,
- 9:53Speaker 1: it's been some time since then, and got my core
- 9:56Speaker 1: group of buddies. Um, but everyone's really cool with each other.
- 10:00Speaker 1: All right, So let's let's let's skip a little level here,
- 10:03Speaker 1: so you go through the whole experience. Next thing, you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: they reached out there like all right, Zach, you're gonna
- 10:08Speaker 1: be the bachelor, right, so now you have this whole
- 10:11Speaker 1: thing that you've been through, the whole rigamarole um, you know.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure there's a lot of emotions involved
- 10:17Speaker 1: in that that comes to either like we're gonna have
- 10:19Speaker 1: you be the new guy. Is it excitement that you're
- 10:22Speaker 1: hit with? Is it fear? Is it are you fired up?
- 10:25Speaker 1: Are you piste off? I mean, where what are your
- 10:28Speaker 1: emotional you know, feelings on this whole thing. I was
- 10:32Speaker 1: feeling a lot of different things. At first. It was,
- 10:34Speaker 1: to be honest, confusion. It was like really like, okay,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I'm honored. But also before you even get there, were
- 10:41Speaker 1: you confused about the night you didn't get a rose?
- 10:44Speaker 1: Like where was that whole what was your whole emotional
- 10:46Speaker 1: thing that set you up for this so with what
- 10:49Speaker 1: had happened on The Bachelor that season of going home
- 10:53Speaker 1: after that, like I needed time to just be away,
- 10:56Speaker 1: like family, process what happened in like and kind of
- 11:01Speaker 1: just recover from that whole experience of traveling the world
- 11:04Speaker 1: and and you know dating someone with other suitors and
- 11:08Speaker 1: then it you know, not being us like taking that
- 11:13Speaker 1: in and then you know, being asked weeks maybe a
- 11:17Speaker 1: little under a month um if I'd be interested in
- 11:20Speaker 1: considering being the Bachelor. I mean it was like, okay,
- 11:24Speaker 1: I'm getting over what, you know, being on TV, like
- 11:28Speaker 1: I like and and you know, having a broken heart,
- 11:31Speaker 1: Like how can I just hop right back in? Was
- 11:34Speaker 1: my initial thought. But it was also you know flattery.
- 11:37Speaker 1: I was like, wow, like that's that's really cool that
- 11:39Speaker 1: they're considering me for this, like what once in a
- 11:42Speaker 1: lifetime opportunity. So you know, after separate conversations, I was like,
- 11:46Speaker 1: I would be kicking myself if I didn't, you know,
- 11:48Speaker 1: take this shot, because I know I'm ready for it,
- 11:51Speaker 1: but like this is this is totally different now, Like
- 11:56Speaker 1: I'm not yeah, does that going on that experience now
- 12:01Speaker 1: when you look back at where Rachel and Gabby where
- 12:03Speaker 1: like you know, if we cut to the end of
- 12:04Speaker 1: this whole thing, it's got to give you a different
- 12:06Speaker 1: feeling as far as how that whole process goes, right,
- 12:09Speaker 1: I mean, you you get it now. It's kind of
- 12:11Speaker 1: a difficult thing to go through right on either side
- 12:15Speaker 1: of it was tough on your end, I'm sure, but
- 12:16Speaker 1: now that you're the bachelor guy and you're doing the same, Like,
- 12:18Speaker 1: my biggest fear was, oh my god, I'm gonna hurt
- 12:21Speaker 1: people who don't deserve to be hurt, you know, I mean,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and it almost makes you feel weird saying it because
- 12:25Speaker 1: you're like, are they going to be hurt? Should they
- 12:27Speaker 1: even give a shit about me? But you're, you know,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you're in that mindset of I don't want to hurt people,
- 12:31Speaker 1: you know. That was that was a big thing for
- 12:34Speaker 1: me because I know what it feels like on that end,
- 12:37Speaker 1: and I think that it helps, you know, having that
- 12:39Speaker 1: that time there to where, you know, being in the
- 12:41Speaker 1: bachelor role. If the whole dynamic is different, like if
- 12:45Speaker 1: you feel a lot of pressure constantly and I'm you know,
- 12:49Speaker 1: tack that on with not a lot of you know, rest,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and you know you're you're going a million miles and
- 12:56Speaker 1: you know other other people's feelings are at stake like that. Like,
- 13:01Speaker 1: like you said, it's kind of weird to assume, but
- 13:03Speaker 1: sometimes you have to because you have to make your
- 13:05Speaker 1: decisions off of everything around you. You know, first and
- 13:09Speaker 1: most important it is like what your heart's telling you.
- 13:11Speaker 1: But second is like, how can you go about this?
- 13:14Speaker 1: You know the right way if there is a right way? Um,
- 13:18Speaker 1: and it's stressful, like and you can always second guess
- 13:22Speaker 1: and and always question. But like that was the biggest
- 13:24Speaker 1: part for me. It was like, it's a totally new dynamic.
- 13:38Speaker 1: How long have you been done filming so far? I
- 13:41Speaker 1: mean we wrapped up just over two months ago. All right,
- 13:46Speaker 1: so you're and now you're watching the season unfold I am,
- 13:50Speaker 1: I am. Yeah, you're watching it by yourself in your
- 13:53Speaker 1: room home alone at night, or you got like a
- 13:55Speaker 1: posse of people. I recommend you deal with friends, buddy,
- 13:58Speaker 1: because it sucks if you do it by yourself. No. No, Well,
- 14:03Speaker 1: the first episode, you know, we had a cool premier party,
- 14:06Speaker 1: had family and friends come, friends from the show, um,
- 14:10Speaker 1: and producers and that was really cool experience. Uh. For
- 14:14Speaker 1: future episodes, UM, very low key, I'm gonna says by
- 14:19Speaker 1: episode five. It's a pretty lonely experience. At least that
- 14:24Speaker 1: was my experience. Yeah. Yeah, And I think, like, I'm
- 14:28Speaker 1: not someone who likes to watch myself on TV anymore,
- 14:30Speaker 1: Like where I hear my own voice and I'm like, oh,
- 14:32Speaker 1: I sound like I see it. And then I'm like, Okay,
- 14:36Speaker 1: I'm watching myself romantically. We're watching me do something good
- 14:40Speaker 1: at something bad, this and that, and I just feel
- 14:42Speaker 1: like I ever relive it, and I'm like, I'd rather
- 14:44Speaker 1: not you know, deal with um you know the comments
- 14:48Speaker 1: like I like to just watch it, Okay, cool, I
- 14:51Speaker 1: remember it, that's exactly how it went, or you know,
- 14:54Speaker 1: and then move on to the next one. I'm not
- 14:59Speaker 1: a big watch party guy. Watched with a bunch of people. No,
- 15:02Speaker 1: it's difficult, I know. I mean I can only imagine
- 15:04Speaker 1: what it's like. I mean, dude, to to date myself
- 15:07Speaker 1: and this is horrible. But when I was the bachelor, um,
- 15:09Speaker 1: there wasn't even social media, right, so I didn't have
- 15:12Speaker 1: to deal with it. There were chat rooms which seemed
- 15:15Speaker 1: off putting and you know, um a lot of gossip mags,
- 15:18Speaker 1: but there there there wasn't like on the on the
- 15:22Speaker 1: button moment by moment dissection of everything I did right,
- 15:26Speaker 1: And you know, I'd watch the show and I'd be like, God,
- 15:28Speaker 1: I really that's how I kiss. This is crazy, you
- 15:30Speaker 1: know that? Do I always talk like this and I
- 15:32Speaker 1: always hemming and hawing. I mean, I would dissect myself.
- 15:35Speaker 1: No one could critique me more than me on my
- 15:37Speaker 1: own worst critic um. And even though I know you're
- 15:40Speaker 1: from the West Coast, you seem kind of like a
- 15:42Speaker 1: Midwest guy to me in a weird way, which I
- 15:43Speaker 1: take that as a I mean that I should say,
- 15:45Speaker 1: is a very big compliment. Right. They don't say they
- 15:48Speaker 1: say Midwestern values, right, they don't say West Coast values,
- 15:50Speaker 1: they say Midwestern values. So you're getting a compliment from
- 15:53Speaker 1: me right now. And I hope you can take it
- 15:54Speaker 1: as such. But I think that it's got to be
- 15:56Speaker 1: tough because you're watching yourself. You're like, how did I
- 15:58Speaker 1: end up here? And right? And then the whole thing
- 16:01Speaker 1: is it's unfolding. I mean, I'm sure you hear the noise, right.
- 16:05Speaker 1: There's a lot of people saying things way better about
- 16:08Speaker 1: you than you could ever deserve, and a lot of
- 16:10Speaker 1: people saying just garbage about you that you also don't deserve.
- 16:14Speaker 1: And it's hard, right because you hear the good stuff
- 16:16Speaker 1: and that kind of goes in one year and not
- 16:18Speaker 1: the other, and the bad stuff will stick with you
- 16:19Speaker 1: for months. How have you been dealing with that? The
- 16:22Speaker 1: social media stuff is just tragic? Like how do you?
- 16:25Speaker 1: I don't mean that specific to you, I mean that
- 16:26Speaker 1: just in general. I get it all the time too.
- 16:28Speaker 1: I don't even know how I deal with it, But
- 16:30Speaker 1: how do you deal with it? Because it's got to
- 16:31Speaker 1: be magnified for you. Yeah, that's a good question because
- 16:36Speaker 1: I think it's constantly evolving on how to tackle that,
- 16:40Speaker 1: because like just over a year ago, you know, I
- 16:43Speaker 1: was working, you know, my my tech job in Austin,
- 16:46Speaker 1: going about life, you know, not someone that's even big
- 16:50Speaker 1: onto social media or understands it, let alone, Like I
- 16:52Speaker 1: don't even know how to properly like post photos at
- 16:54Speaker 1: the time. And now I'm in the world where, like
- 16:59Speaker 1: every ones on social media, everything you do is critiqued.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Now my love life is being critiquedum and everyone has
- 17:05Speaker 1: an opinion, and everyone fair like absolutely has an opinion,
- 17:09Speaker 1: and like seeing the the tough or hurtful comments, initially
- 17:15Speaker 1: we're really like, oh my god, like how could someone
- 17:18Speaker 1: like say that they don't know me this and it
- 17:20Speaker 1: did bother me early on? Um, and I don't know,
- 17:24Speaker 1: it took just maybe time or you know, just through
- 17:29Speaker 1: you know, confidence, or or just like seeking advice from
- 17:33Speaker 1: from family and friends was like okay, you know you're
- 17:35Speaker 1: never gonna appease everyone. Um. Also everything in a sense
- 17:42Speaker 1: with like short media and this is like with a
- 17:44Speaker 1: lot of things in general are pretty short lived. Um.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And you know, yeah, the next thing right away, right,
- 17:50Speaker 1: I mean instantly, if I get in my own head
- 17:53Speaker 1: about it, then it's just like I'm gonna be you know,
- 17:56Speaker 1: bummed out. And I'm not a guy that's ever bumped out.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Like I'm very positive. But then when I'm like, oh,
- 18:01Speaker 1: these people are trying to hurt me, I'm like they've
- 18:03Speaker 1: probably got something else going on in their life to
- 18:05Speaker 1: where they feel they need hurt. So that's how I
- 18:09Speaker 1: rationalize and justify it. But and you're a better man
- 18:11Speaker 1: than me. I still grind myself over the coals for
- 18:14Speaker 1: half the things that are said about me. But you know,
- 18:16Speaker 1: interestingly enough, someone gave me a great piece of advice
- 18:18Speaker 1: once and they're like consider the source, right, So, like
- 18:21Speaker 1: you're living your life and then you have these other
- 18:23Speaker 1: people who are commenting on you living your life. Right,
- 18:27Speaker 1: It's like, how often are you online commenting on someone
- 18:30Speaker 1: else living their lives? Probably never? Right? So who are
- 18:34Speaker 1: these people? And you know, hey, thank you for you know,
- 18:36Speaker 1: paying attention, but let's be kind, right, We're still human beings.
- 18:39Speaker 1: We start. You know, this is still us putting it
- 18:41Speaker 1: out there, and clearly you're someone who's you know, going
- 18:43Speaker 1: through an emotional experience. I mean, what you've done is genuine.
- 18:47Speaker 1: People are I'm gonna I mean, I will tell you this,
- 18:49Speaker 1: twenty years after I was the Bachelor, You're gonna still
- 18:51Speaker 1: ask you the question is it real? You know? Is
- 18:54Speaker 1: it all scripted? And you know I always say, I'm like, well,
- 18:56Speaker 1: the moments are scripted, but the emotions are real, you know,
- 19:00Speaker 1: So you're still feeling that stuff. So I'm sorry. You
- 19:03Speaker 1: gotta deal with it. I mean, I didn't have to
- 19:04Speaker 1: deal with it. I don't have to do it at
- 19:05Speaker 1: the magnitude that you all do. I mean on the
- 19:07Speaker 1: show today. I mean still, you know, twenty years later,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I think I have like a hundred ten thousand followers.
- 19:12Speaker 1: There's something that's pretty paltry. But um, I've probably have
- 19:15Speaker 1: worked really hard for those hundred and ten. I think
- 19:17Speaker 1: my mom's probably got like seventy ghost accounts. But the
- 19:20Speaker 1: point is no, The point is, you know, it's like
- 19:25Speaker 1: you go through this experience and it's tough, man, and
- 19:27Speaker 1: there You're never gonna please everybody. So I mean, at
- 19:30Speaker 1: the end of the day, you know, what are you
- 19:31Speaker 1: gonna do? But okay, let's talk about your season now.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So you come on as a bachelor. From what I understand, UM,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I may have missed a few finer points of this,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but it sounds to me like on the opening night,
- 19:44Speaker 1: one young lady um walks up and licks your earhole. Basically,
- 19:50Speaker 1: this gives you like tongue jacks your earbox, is what
- 19:53Speaker 1: I've been told. Yeah, any words exchanged and he like, hey,
- 19:58Speaker 1: how are you? Or she just walks up and it's
- 20:00Speaker 1: boom shaka ka right in the ear drum I from
- 20:05Speaker 1: because I think I would have married her. I'm totally kidding,
- 20:09Speaker 1: totally kidding. Well, we're watching it and then try and
- 20:13Speaker 1: remember that exact moment that I was, what I was feeling,
- 20:15Speaker 1: and like, like, first off, that takes you know, Cohona's
- 20:20Speaker 1: to do that um, could you imagine a poor dad.
- 20:23Speaker 1: He's just like, oh, look, I'm gorgeous. Little girl. Here
- 20:26Speaker 1: she comes, like a moment and then just tongue tongue dart.
- 20:31Speaker 1: His buddies at home are like, really, Jim, this is
- 20:33Speaker 1: what we're doing. This is what little Debbie's doing the night. Honestly,
- 20:39Speaker 1: my my facial reaction, I think gives it away of
- 20:41Speaker 1: just like I trying to hide, like it like with
- 20:44Speaker 1: a laugh, Like I put my head back and opened
- 20:47Speaker 1: my mouth like I'm laughing thinking it's funny, but it's
- 20:49Speaker 1: actually like like disgusting. Like I'm like, why, why you
- 20:54Speaker 1: can't You're like, I don't know, Okay, I mean I'm
- 20:57Speaker 1: sure it piques your curiosity for a hot second, but
- 21:00Speaker 1: it I mean, I don't know you at all, but
- 21:03Speaker 1: from what I can tell from our initial interview, you
- 21:05Speaker 1: strike me as one of those guys. I mean, I
- 21:07Speaker 1: can tell you. When I was on the show, all
- 21:08Speaker 1: I could think of, Oh my god, I don't want
- 21:09Speaker 1: to embarrass my family, Like I don't want my mom
- 21:12Speaker 1: and dad to have to go to the grocery store
- 21:14Speaker 1: and be ashamed of me. Right, So if the girl
- 21:17Speaker 1: walks up, she's you know, making out with your ear
- 21:20Speaker 1: drum and you're like, oh, yeah, this is first impression
- 21:22Speaker 1: rose all the way. I mean, your parents would be
- 21:24Speaker 1: so disappointed, right, So I get it. I mean, but
- 21:28Speaker 1: you said her home, you fast tractor to the limo.
- 21:30Speaker 1: From what I gather, no that that was not a
- 21:34Speaker 1: fast track to the limo. No, I I did not
- 21:35Speaker 1: give her a rose that night. But there were, Um,
- 21:38Speaker 1: there was another instance of there was one instance of
- 21:42Speaker 1: I'm a fast track to the limo, but someone else
- 21:44Speaker 1: not for ear looking well, tell me about it. What
- 21:46Speaker 1: was the fast track? Uh? So, you know, a night
- 21:50Speaker 1: one and um, you know, had the opportunity to to
- 21:53Speaker 1: speak with one of the women in the house and
- 21:55Speaker 1: we had a conversation and um, you know I went
- 21:58Speaker 1: pretty well. Um, and she decides to pull me again
- 22:04Speaker 1: for another conversation. I think that there were some feelings
- 22:08Speaker 1: of jealousy because she saw that, um, I had kissed
- 22:12Speaker 1: other women and she wasn't one of them, and so
- 22:15Speaker 1: she wanted to pull me to get her kiss. And
- 22:19Speaker 1: she pulls me aside and we're doing like these like
- 22:22Speaker 1: dances or something, and she pulls me in like for
- 22:27Speaker 1: a hug. I'm going in for a hug and she
- 22:29Speaker 1: goes in and pulls me in and making a kiss happen. Um,
- 22:33Speaker 1: and that did kind of rub me the wrong way. Um,
- 22:37Speaker 1: like you can't force anything, Like, you can't force it
- 22:39Speaker 1: if it's not there, and you know, you know had
- 22:43Speaker 1: that you know, tough decision and talking with her saying like, hey,
- 22:46Speaker 1: we can't force that, like what like if it's not here,
- 22:49Speaker 1: it's not here, And I don't want to waste your
- 22:51Speaker 1: time in the moment you did like you kind of
- 22:53Speaker 1: like you sort of pulled back and like this is
- 22:54Speaker 1: not happening. Well, so for it happens. And I'm like
- 22:58Speaker 1: processing like like did that kiss just happen like that?
- 23:02Speaker 1: Like is that how it really went? And I remember
- 23:05Speaker 1: talking to Jesse about it actually funny enough because he asked,
- 23:07Speaker 1: He's like, dude, like what you know what was with
- 23:11Speaker 1: that that kiss? It didn't look like you really wanted
- 23:14Speaker 1: to And I was like, you know what I I
- 23:16Speaker 1: you know, I I respect you know, her pulling me
- 23:18Speaker 1: again because you know that that takes guts And then
- 23:21Speaker 1: most people don't, you know, some people will only get
- 23:24Speaker 1: you know, one time, and some don't get any time.
- 23:26Speaker 1: On on night one and he's like, what do you
- 23:28Speaker 1: want to do? And I was like, what I think.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I think it's best to send her home, like I
- 23:32Speaker 1: don't want, you know, to lie to her or hold
- 23:34Speaker 1: her here if there isn't a connection, And there clearly
- 23:36Speaker 1: wasn't that spark when? So that was that was interesting.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You never know what you're gonna you're gonna get on
- 23:43Speaker 1: night one, like anything like Gritty all that stuff. Gritty
- 23:49Speaker 1: is a good That's a tough dance. I mean, if
- 23:50Speaker 1: they perfected, I believe they should get fast jacked the
- 23:53Speaker 1: night too. That's just me. But I'm not a great dancer,
- 23:56Speaker 1: and so I value things and others that I don't possess,
- 24:00Speaker 1: you know, right, I can't judge it Like who I
- 24:02Speaker 1: gritty on TV? And it looks absolutely terrible, So I
- 24:05Speaker 1: can't someone pulls it off in an evening gown. Moving
- 24:09Speaker 1: on next round. Did you ever watch the show previously
- 24:22Speaker 1: being on it? Did you know the whole drill? I'd
- 24:27Speaker 1: probably watched about a handful of episodes before, but my
- 24:31Speaker 1: my mom and my two younger sisters are die hard
- 24:33Speaker 1: fans of the show, so you know, growing up, you know,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I walked downstairs see them watching the show and of
- 24:39Speaker 1: course it would just have my attention drawn in uh
- 24:42Speaker 1: to watch it, but you know, not consecutively by any means.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But you know, I had a rough idea of what
- 24:49Speaker 1: to expect. Um. But you know, my sisters obviously were like, uh,
- 24:54Speaker 1: you know, given me as many planners as they could
- 24:58Speaker 1: well were some of the psy anything's sticking out right
- 25:01Speaker 1: now that you listen to or any of that you
- 25:03Speaker 1: didn't and you wish you would have because obviously they
- 25:05Speaker 1: know how this thing goes. Yeah. So actually, funny enough,
- 25:10Speaker 1: my sister she told me right before. I don't remember
- 25:14Speaker 1: if it was before batchelor Red or Bachelor, but um,
- 25:17Speaker 1: she said, don't cry. And I'm an emotional guy, like
- 25:24Speaker 1: by nature, I'm someone who wears my heart of my sleep.
- 25:26Speaker 1: It's encouraged in my house, like show your emotion like
- 25:29Speaker 1: good or bad. Um, you know, not worth holding in.
- 25:33Speaker 1: And she said don't cry, and I was like, okay,
- 25:36Speaker 1: I won't. Yeah, and that's quick to a sizzle real
- 25:39Speaker 1: if you cry, man, we all know that, I know.
- 25:42Speaker 1: And just you know, as Jesse said, this is the
- 25:45Speaker 1: most emotional season for the Bachelor so far, So I'll
- 25:48Speaker 1: just leave it at that. She didn't listen to her body.
- 25:51Speaker 1: It's impossible. It's impossible, you know. I gotta be honest.
- 25:55Speaker 1: For Ben Higgins. It was also impossible that dude cries
- 25:57Speaker 1: more than anybody ever saying, but he isn't a emotional
- 26:00Speaker 1: and lovely man, and I think that you'll probably have
- 26:02Speaker 1: that same kind of staying power. I didn't cry. I
- 26:05Speaker 1: didn't cry, and you didn't know who the hell I was,
- 26:06Speaker 1: So there you go. I probably once in my lfe
- 26:13Speaker 1: no I cry a ton Are you kidding me? I
- 26:15Speaker 1: am the most emotional disaster um back then, though it
- 26:19Speaker 1: didn't fit the mold. You gotta remember what I did
- 26:21Speaker 1: the show. They it was a very you know, we
- 26:24Speaker 1: didn't film stuff that didn't fit the mold of what
- 26:26Speaker 1: we were trying to present. So I could have been
- 26:28Speaker 1: falling like a baby and they'd be like, all right,
- 26:30Speaker 1: just give him some time, let's dry him off, get
- 26:32Speaker 1: him back in there and make him look stoic, you know.
- 26:35Speaker 1: So it was. It wasn't as emotionally raw. Reality television
- 26:39Speaker 1: wasn't as real back then, let's just put it that way.
- 26:42Speaker 1: I didn't feel that way anyway. Yeah, it didn't feel
- 26:44Speaker 1: that way. So one thing that I dealt with from
- 26:48Speaker 1: being the bachelor. Um, that I think is probably something
- 26:52Speaker 1: that is universal, regardless of social media or not. I'll
- 26:55Speaker 1: never forget it. First time I walk into my hometown supermarket,
- 26:58Speaker 1: I'm with my mom. I was just telling this story
- 27:00Speaker 1: earlier that you know, my mom would go to the
- 27:02Speaker 1: still twenty years later, she'll go to the chicken section,
- 27:04Speaker 1: and people like, according to my mom, anyway, aren't you
- 27:07Speaker 1: bachelor Bob's mom? And my mom was like, I am
- 27:11Speaker 1: it just Oh, everyone drives me crazy bringing it up. Yeah,
- 27:13Speaker 1: I can be in the same supermarket. No one speaks
- 27:15Speaker 1: to me. So the hardest adjustment though, was seeing your
- 27:19Speaker 1: personal life all over the tabloids, right like all of
- 27:21Speaker 1: our US weekly, People, Magazine, Star, National choir whatever it is, um,
- 27:27Speaker 1: social media. I'm sure how has that been for you? Like,
- 27:29Speaker 1: how has that adjustment been for you to all of
- 27:31Speaker 1: a sudden go from being, you know, a guy that's
- 27:34Speaker 1: working hard. You know, I mean you you know, you're
- 27:35Speaker 1: an athlete. So the mindset of you know, keep your
- 27:38Speaker 1: head down, work hard, and good things will happen. Right.
- 27:40Speaker 1: We all have heard those from our coaches over the years,
- 27:42Speaker 1: and um, now all of a sudden you know, you're
- 27:46Speaker 1: entire personal life and every decision you make is being
- 27:48Speaker 1: dissected by body relationship experts and you know all this
- 27:53Speaker 1: kind of crap. I mean, how has that been for
- 27:55Speaker 1: you as a as a an individual and how are
- 27:57Speaker 1: you handling it? Yeah, it's a good question. It is interesting,
- 28:03Speaker 1: you know with life now outside of the show. Um,
- 28:07Speaker 1: you know, similar to you know, your story with with
- 28:09Speaker 1: you your mom at the grocery store, like you know,
- 28:12Speaker 1: going to most places, um, you know, being recognized as
- 28:15Speaker 1: a weird feeling because I'm kind of a private person
- 28:19Speaker 1: by nature, and I like, I think it's it's really
- 28:23Speaker 1: cool when people like come support or or whant I
- 28:26Speaker 1: get a photo with me? But it's just still such
- 28:29Speaker 1: a crazy concept that people want to do that in
- 28:32Speaker 1: the first place, or people want to write an article
- 28:35Speaker 1: about what clothes I wore on my last Instagram post
- 28:38Speaker 1: or like well, like it's it goes back to the
- 28:41Speaker 1: opinions thing. It's like, Okay, everyone's going to have an opinion.
- 28:44Speaker 1: I get that, and and it's up to me like
- 28:46Speaker 1: if I want to read those comments or not. But
- 28:48Speaker 1: like for me, I I I welcome you know everyone
- 28:52Speaker 1: with with open arms. You know, when I meet people
- 28:54Speaker 1: out and about and you know, whether it's at the
- 28:56Speaker 1: gym or at the grocery store or this and that,
- 28:58Speaker 1: and just I don't know, just take the time to
- 29:02Speaker 1: say high or get to know them, um, because it is.
- 29:05Speaker 1: It is a cool opportunity because I know, like when I, um,
- 29:09Speaker 1: you know, growing up, would like run into someone that
- 29:11Speaker 1: I have seen it on TV and I would like
- 29:13Speaker 1: love to meet them and get a picture with them,
- 29:14Speaker 1: and you know, it would be the biggest gut punch
- 29:16Speaker 1: it They said, no, oh sure, yeah. You always love
- 29:19Speaker 1: it if there's someone who you hope that you think
- 29:22Speaker 1: they are right, Like you meet Tom Hanks, you wanted
- 29:25Speaker 1: to be the greatest guy you've ever met in your
- 29:26Speaker 1: life because he seems like he is. You know it.
- 29:29Speaker 1: He's such a bomb if he wasn't, you know. But
- 29:31Speaker 1: there's a lot of pressure on those guys too. I
- 29:33Speaker 1: met Bill Murray in the airport today and Bill Murray
- 29:35Speaker 1: was amazing. I mean, he was so nice. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 1: and it was really cool and I was thankful because
- 29:42Speaker 1: you know, he had no clue who the hell I was,
- 29:44Speaker 1: nor should he, but I definitely knew who he was
- 29:46Speaker 1: and it was nice that he gave me thirty seconds
- 29:49Speaker 1: of his time, you know, and that's all it takes.
- 29:52Speaker 1: It's not that hard to be kind to people. It's
- 29:54Speaker 1: pretty easy, really, You're never that busy in fact that
- 29:56Speaker 1: it's just being kind, you know, like just expect that.
- 30:00Speaker 1: You know, not everyone has that out you know, outlook
- 30:03Speaker 1: on life. But as long as you keep that yourself,
- 30:05Speaker 1: you'll be good. That's yeah. So have you ever heard
- 30:08Speaker 1: of the term like grease in the wheel, like getting
- 30:11Speaker 1: ready for something? You so, first night of the Bachelor,
- 30:14Speaker 1: you're getting ready to you know, all the limbos of
- 30:15Speaker 1: pull up? What did you do to grease the wheel?
- 30:17Speaker 1: What did you do to like get yourself ready? Anything specific? Um,
- 30:22Speaker 1: there's a lot of pacing. Yeah. Any any beverage choices
- 30:26Speaker 1: that maybe helped you get to the right place? Quite
- 30:29Speaker 1: a few? Um? I had, I had a few, uh
- 30:34Speaker 1: a few beverages. Um, any of that are you know
- 30:38Speaker 1: Mexican in in in uh origin, perhaps like tequila or
- 30:41Speaker 1: anything like that. Absolutely, maybe maybe two or three if
- 30:45Speaker 1: we're honest. And then you know, you gotta have some
- 30:48Speaker 1: you know, artificial caffeine in there somewhere because it's a
- 30:52Speaker 1: late it is late, and a lot of blasting of
- 30:56Speaker 1: just like the most ridiculous music you can and just
- 30:59Speaker 1: like get the nerves out some way, you know, and
- 31:04Speaker 1: back to its Tequia. It's always tequila money. That's the
- 31:08Speaker 1: only way to Yeah. I like it. I like the
- 31:12Speaker 1: way you got there, though you took a long road,
- 31:13Speaker 1: and I appreciate it. So Okay. One of the things
- 31:16Speaker 1: that we had back in the day when I did
- 31:18Speaker 1: this show was a deliberation room, right, so they had
- 31:22Speaker 1: all the women that were there on that night of
- 31:25Speaker 1: the contail party or whatever we call it. They had
- 31:28Speaker 1: all of their photos on like a wall, like a
- 31:31Speaker 1: viewing wall, and I would go in and I would deliberate.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Now we just look at these photos as if to
- 31:37Speaker 1: ponder who I was going to give a roast to,
- 31:39Speaker 1: because they were all right there on the cusp. And
- 31:43Speaker 1: I remember looking at all these and I would take time.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I'd look at each one. Some of them, I grabbed
- 31:48Speaker 1: the frame and I'd stare at it for a minute.
- 31:49Speaker 1: I put it back. Do they still do that or
- 31:52Speaker 1: they skipped that part of it, because it was it
- 31:54Speaker 1: was really interesting time for at the time Chris Harrison
- 31:58Speaker 1: and I had to walk in there and just have
- 31:59Speaker 1: me stare a blank wall. Yeah, something just like that,
- 32:04Speaker 1: because obviously a night one like there's no way you
- 32:07Speaker 1: can remember everyone's names with the faith, and like you
- 32:12Speaker 1: have so many conversations and you're trying to you know,
- 32:15Speaker 1: calm your own nerves and you need to go and
- 32:18Speaker 1: just breathe in another room and just you know, figure
- 32:22Speaker 1: it out. For lack of better terms, h yeah. So yeah,
- 32:27Speaker 1: there would be several times without like throughout the night
- 32:30Speaker 1: going to a room and looking at the little you know,
- 32:33Speaker 1: cards with the name, and you know, sometimes it would
- 32:36Speaker 1: just be the easiest, like like you just follow your
- 32:40Speaker 1: gut on that and you're like, yep, something well seconds
- 32:44Speaker 1: with this person. Yep, I don't know what it is.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I don't know why, but yes, And then there's some
- 32:49Speaker 1: that you know, you have to deliverate a little bit
- 32:50Speaker 1: more on and and and figure out. But that was
- 32:53Speaker 1: something new that I didn't know how like you do it,
- 32:56Speaker 1: because I was fully prepared to come in and be like,
- 32:59Speaker 1: all right, I'm remembering all the names. We're doing it.
- 33:03Speaker 1: That's a little false because there's no shot I would
- 33:05Speaker 1: ever be able to actually come on. I'm a competitive guy,
- 33:09Speaker 1: so I gotta tell you, um, on my first night's
- 33:12Speaker 1: rose ceremony, I had I believe it was twenty eight
- 33:15Speaker 1: or thirty ladies there. And I had found out that
- 33:17Speaker 1: Alex Michelle, out of the fifteen women that he got
- 33:20Speaker 1: to keep on the first night, he had remembered twelve names.
- 33:24Speaker 1: So my goal was to remember all fifteen. So I
- 33:26Speaker 1: created a song in my head, and I got through it.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I got through all fifteen. However, what a lot of
- 33:30Speaker 1: people don't know a little a little sidebar is I
- 33:33Speaker 1: was nervous, right, So I was holding the rose. Uh,
- 33:37Speaker 1: let me see if I can hold. I was holding
- 33:38Speaker 1: the rose like this, right, So I have a rose,
- 33:40Speaker 1: and I was like Debbie, right, and then the next
- 33:42Speaker 1: one Jenny or you know. I'm just using random names,
- 33:46Speaker 1: of course, to protect the innocent. And I and I
- 33:48Speaker 1: remember the next one. I go to say the name
- 33:51Speaker 1: and the rose the top of the rose falls off
- 33:54Speaker 1: and no one knows what to do, and I think,
- 33:55Speaker 1: oh my god, this is a real show. So I
- 33:57Speaker 1: can't It's reality television. I can't waiver. So I hole
- 34:01Speaker 1: hold and I'm like Rhonda, and Ronda comes up on Granda,
- 34:04Speaker 1: will you accept the stem? And she takes that. I
- 34:06Speaker 1: think it's gonna be great television, and they make you
- 34:08Speaker 1: reshoot it, and I was so bummed. Point is, though
- 34:10Speaker 1: I got all fifteen. Do you remember how remember how
- 34:12Speaker 1: many of the ladies on the first night you remembered
- 34:14Speaker 1: all their names? Uh? They just say this. They didn't
- 34:21Speaker 1: let me test that theory. If I'm not mistaken, let
- 34:27Speaker 1: me try and reenact this and tell me this is
- 34:29Speaker 1: that rate. You'd get through like five names and you'd
- 34:31Speaker 1: be like, I'm sorry, ladies, I I need a moment,
- 34:36Speaker 1: and you'd step outside, maybe like they'd like Debbie, Rhonda, Jenny, Brenda, Camille.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Is that not how they did well? Not not as
- 34:46Speaker 1: dramatic as that. It would be. You know, I'll go
- 34:49Speaker 1: I'll use your names. It would be like okay, yeah, Ronda,
- 34:52Speaker 1: what do you accept the strokes? Yes, okay, And then
- 34:55Speaker 1: it would be a pause and then I would like
- 34:57Speaker 1: look to to one of the um like directors and
- 35:02Speaker 1: I would just give a nod and he'd nod back,
- 35:05Speaker 1: and then I'd be like and then just mysteriously, oh,
- 35:08Speaker 1: there was no explanation, because when I was on the
- 35:13Speaker 1: batchel of the rat, they didn't do any explanation. We
- 35:16Speaker 1: were like, why are the girls keep going back to
- 35:18Speaker 1: the back room like what's going on? Like are they
- 35:21Speaker 1: are they panicking or they freaking out? And then I
- 35:23Speaker 1: later learned that's what it was for. It took away
- 35:25Speaker 1: the drama factor. I brought some drama to that franchise.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Back then, I'd be like, ladies, I just can't. But
- 35:31Speaker 1: then I'd like, but no, I can because I got
- 35:33Speaker 1: all fifteen right here in my bean. I got through it.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. All right, So one last question, No,
- 35:39Speaker 1: thank you, buddy. It was the one thing I had
- 35:40Speaker 1: going for me. I got. I had a musical memory. So, UM,
- 35:44Speaker 1: all right, let's ask you this. So now that you're engaged, UM,
- 35:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Well, I'm sorry. What was your name? I
- 35:51Speaker 1: think they all right, Well, you know what, I'm sorry.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I'm getting some bad intel. So at the end of
- 35:57Speaker 1: the day, we're so happy about the marriage coming up,
- 36:00Speaker 1: and we're excited to be invited to the nuptials. Um,
- 36:04Speaker 1: now I'm excited for you man. You seem like a
- 36:06Speaker 1: very nice guy, and I think that at the end
- 36:08Speaker 1: of the day, you got to remember, I have this,
- 36:10Speaker 1: I have this idea of the way the show works,
- 36:12Speaker 1: especially when I was on it. I used to say,
- 36:14Speaker 1: you know, you could have You can have a monkey
- 36:16Speaker 1: up here handing out flowers and everyone's gonna cry because
- 36:18Speaker 1: it's a social science experiment. It's nothing to do with
- 36:20Speaker 1: the guy. So I think about that all the time.
- 36:22Speaker 1: I'm always like, you know, and people like, oh, no,
- 36:24Speaker 1: that's humble pie pop. I'm like, no, it's really sincere.
- 36:27Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with the guy. But I
- 36:28Speaker 1: think in your case it kind of does, because you
- 36:31Speaker 1: seem like that guy. Man, you're a very nice guy,
- 36:33Speaker 1: and I have a feeling that you probably have a
- 36:36Speaker 1: lot of ladies vying for your attention and you were
- 36:39Speaker 1: raised right, and man, I'm just excited for you. I
- 36:42Speaker 1: hope it all works out the way you wanted to
- 36:43Speaker 1: and um, and you find some happiness at the end
- 36:46Speaker 1: of this thing, because it's a tough road to hope.
- 36:49Speaker 1: People don't get it right. They all think, oh, what
- 36:51Speaker 1: a crimeer river. You know, he handed out flowers of
- 36:53Speaker 1: thirty girls and made out with him, big deal. But
- 36:56Speaker 1: it is tough. You go through a lot to get there.
- 36:58Speaker 1: So I hope you guys find happiness, and I wish
- 37:00Speaker 1: you the best and thanks for being part of our show.
- 37:02Speaker 1: I mean it's o g to the new guy. Man,
- 37:04Speaker 1: this is a big transition. I was twenty years ago
- 37:07Speaker 1: and it's still on the air. This is bananas. Wow. Wow.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Well we'll first stop. Thank you. I appreciate that the
- 37:13Speaker 1: kind of words, and um, you know, yeah, like what
- 37:16Speaker 1: you're saying, it is wild and not a lot of
- 37:18Speaker 1: people understand it. You know, Fortunately you do. You're someone
- 37:21Speaker 1: that does. And it's it's crazy to know you. You
- 37:24Speaker 1: know that there are people that do support um, you
- 37:27Speaker 1: know through all the crazy social media and whatnot. But um,
- 37:31Speaker 1: I appreciate being on this podcast and the new guy.
- 37:34Speaker 1: That's pretty cool. Hey, we just named it tonight, Bunny.
- 37:38Speaker 1: We're excited. We're excited. Well, I wish you the best.
- 37:40Speaker 1: I mean, you know, at the end of the day,
- 37:42Speaker 1: you gotta remember, I mean, you know, just get through
- 37:44Speaker 1: it with your confidence intact. Don't let anybody beat you up.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I mean, I know it's it's not easy, right, It's
- 37:50Speaker 1: you're an easy target, dude. I mean, you know you're
- 37:52Speaker 1: out there, you're a nice person, putting your heart on
- 37:55Speaker 1: the line. Like you say, you wear your emotions on
- 37:56Speaker 1: your sleeve. So you're gonna get some grief for it.
- 37:58Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, Man, your happiness
- 38:01Speaker 1: twenty years from now. Take it from me, as it
- 38:03Speaker 1: matters of most. So it's gonna be a great experience.
- 38:05Speaker 1: You said yes to a fun moment. Live it up,
- 38:08Speaker 1: enjoy it, and thanks for being a part of the show. Man.
- 38:10Speaker 1: We really appreciate it. Thank you, Bob. I appreciate it.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I'm rooting for you. Man. Thank you. Tell your mom,
- 38:15Speaker 1: I said, Hi, Oh, she knows you.
