  Speaker 1: Watson is going to actually be suspended for eleven games

  Speaker 1: find five million dollars, and he is agreeing to undergo

  Speaker 1: a professional evaluation after a settlement. I wanted to learn
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: more about what that part means. Um Schefter tweeted. Deshaun

  Speaker 1: Watson has to comply with an evaluation and treatment recommendations

  Speaker 1: of a third party behavioral expert to be reinstated. It

  Speaker 1: sounds like he's got to pass some kind of test

  Speaker 1: to come back and play week eleven. Just so happens
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: to be the Browns playing the Texans, which is quite interesting.

  Speaker 1: Browns fans. We didn't mean for this to happen. We

  Speaker 1: coming back and playing the Texans? Just give me like

  Speaker 1: an overall, Well, it's too it's not enough. I mean,

  Speaker 1: just based on what we know and what the NFL wanted,

  Speaker 1: it's just simply I mean, I think indefinite. I would

  Speaker 1: have even indefinite even if it was one season. Why

  Speaker 1: is one season enough based on just this whole experience. UM,

  Speaker 1: it was a settlement, and so I wasn't surprised that
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: it came somewhere I thought would be twelve because I
• 4:56
  Speaker 1: didn't think they would want the optics of Deshaun Watson
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: returning to play the Texans. I thought that they would
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: try to, like anything that they could to avoid something
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: that was reporting that that was something that the NFL
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: did not want. So I've been part of the settlement
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: is like probably both sides are never that happy with
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: with it. UM. The thing for me because watching these
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: press conferences today and we were talking before, like the
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: Browns over historically have had some pretty um problematic press County.

  Speaker 1: You were a Browns fan for how long I mean
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: going back to like nineteen eighty six offence, Yes, and
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: especially under this um this ownership group, there have been
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: some that the team has just been bad. So it's
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: been a lot of negativity. This felt to me like
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: they live in a different reality because first hearing Deshaun Watson, UM,
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: who really I've never gotten a hint of UM, some
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: of his statements about accountability about I want to, you know, apologize.
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: I will use the word triggered over and over. I
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: hate that said. I think that's just so off base
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: and like um for me. I there was a lot
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: of talk from the Haslems about a second chance. Second
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: chances are important. We've all had second chances in life.

  Speaker 1: I mean, I've messed things up and sometimes gotten like
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: a third chance. But like part of it is you
• 6:06
  Speaker 1: need to learn through that and show that you there's
• 6:08
  Speaker 1: something about you that should create a second chance. Whoever

  Speaker 1: you offended, whatever is you did. And I just don't
• 6:14
  Speaker 1: see that from Deshaun Watson and the Browns. I feel
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: like have completely, in a very cynical way, glossed over
• 6:20
  Speaker 1: where Deshaun Watson is in this process and where the
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: whole where are the victims are Because because the pr battle,
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: probably the way that things work, you get a year
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: from now and if this season even people don't want
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: to talk about it anymore, they want to focus on
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: the football, and suddenly you have a star quarterback. I

  Speaker 1: just think that's all this was about, and I really

  Speaker 1: don't buy any of the verbiage around it on any point.

  Speaker 1: I will say a few things about that, Usually people
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: getting a second chance doesn't come along with two hundred

  Speaker 1: and sixty million dollars, right, I mean, I mean like
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: a second chance is like, oh, I totally little white line,
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: maybe you don't trust me anymore, Like let me earn
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: your trust back. It doesn't add up to me. And

  Speaker 1: I was just thinking, like, you know, when all of

  Speaker 1: this stuff was still coming out, like early, early, and

  Speaker 1: I hadn't muted as many people on my Twitter as

  Speaker 1: I have. Now, you know, a lot of people were

  Speaker 1: being like, he's a top tier quarterback, He's a top

  Speaker 1: five quarterback in the league. You have by the time

  Speaker 1: he plays, you will have not seen him play football

  Speaker 1: for two years or whatever the time ends up being

  Speaker 1: almost two years. Like who knows what his body is

  Speaker 1: going to be like, who knows what he is athletically

  Speaker 1: going to look like or what he is going to

  Speaker 1: look like with this team jelling with those guys. Also,

  Speaker 1: we saw the preseason game of these Jacksonville Jags fans

  Speaker 1: saying you sick, you know, bleep, what is that He's

  Speaker 1: going to go into the most hostile environment in every
• 7:43
  Speaker 1: single stadium that he goes in. That's just the fans.

  Speaker 1: Then what happens to the guys on the other side
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: of the field. They're looking for they're always looking for
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: a reason to get mad at somebody and like take
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: that extra like oomph to take that quarterback down or whatever. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: now Deshahn Watson's got the biggest target on his back
• 7:59
  Speaker 1: and assionable. You don't know what he's going to look
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: like athletically, you don't know what he's gonna look like
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: on this team. It just seems like the biggest gamble
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: with so much money on the line, and and and
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: not even that, like you're a reputation, Like you've lost
• 8:16
  Speaker 1: so much credibility, in so much respect from so many fans.

  Speaker 1: It's just literally, I know it's been weeks, and like,

  Speaker 1: to be honest, you two were the first people I
• 8:24
  Speaker 1: talk to you and my girlfriend Rushana, who's also a

  Speaker 1: huge fan, I remember texting you and I think I
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: just said like I'm so sorry because you have so

  Speaker 1: much more history. And I think I called you and

  Speaker 1: was like in tears, like all day. It's just so

  Speaker 1: no matter how much time passes, I just still cannot

  Speaker 1: believe that this has happened. I think about, like, what

  Speaker 1: why you became a Browns fan and why they were

  Speaker 1: there was a there was finally a turn. You've been

  Speaker 1: a fan for a while and like it's it's um,

  Speaker 1: like Rachel, like it's like they all every bit of

  Speaker 1: good energy that kind of called pulled you towards them

  Speaker 1: is gone and they're now the villains and it's like

  Speaker 1: it's just, um, it's hard up for There's this one

  Speaker 1: conference because you know that you know these guys, these owners, like, uh,

  Speaker 1: young boys in the group like just chanting to Shawn's name,

  Speaker 1: and it's like, is this who you want to be

  Speaker 1: your hero? Like, oh my god, if I had a son,

  Speaker 1: Well you have kids, Yeah, how would you feel if

  Speaker 1: one of your kids? I'm sure you raise them as

  Speaker 1: like Browns fans or would want I actually didn't, just

  Speaker 1: because um, we live in LA and such a different experience.

  Speaker 1: in love with the Browns growing up in the East Coast.

  Speaker 1: I couldn't control it. It just took over me. And

  Speaker 1: that's like back when you don't, do you remember the

  Speaker 1: first thing that made you love them? I do? Because

  Speaker 1: so I had a friend I was in middle school,

  Speaker 1: UM and a friend from Cleveland who became like my

  Speaker 1: best friend moved into town and I was a Cowboys
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: fan for like three months. I was in Jets Giants territory,
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: and I decided it was not into either of those teams,
• 11:59
  Speaker 1: even though one of them was like the Bill Parcell's
• 12:00
  Speaker 1: Giants about to win a Super Bowl. But he, my friend,
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: was like, listen, these Browns are on Monday Night Football
• 12:05
  Speaker 1: tonight against the Dan Marino Dolphins. And I was playing
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: Pop Warner at the time. And I went back home
• 12:09
  Speaker 1: with a bunch of guys and we had like a
• 12:11
  Speaker 1: Monday night's sleepover because there was some sort of holiday,
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: and I just watched Bernie Kozar and Kevin Mack and
• 12:16
  Speaker 1: like Ernest Biner and Webster Slaughter destroy the Dolphins, and
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: I was like it was just like when you fall
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: in love with anything or anyone, Like it just hit
• 12:24
  Speaker 1: me in the heart. And suddenly I was like I
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: knew the names of like every player's wife and like
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: what they're doing, Like I've subscribed to this like Brown's
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: news illustrated article that would show like news letter that
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: would sho up six days late in my house. I mean,
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: it was like I was all in and so I
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: do remember all that and like I kind of can't
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: you can't manufacture then it's never gonna happen again. So

  Speaker 1: I kind of wanted to fit into my life. And

  Speaker 1: so right now where I sit, the Chargers are very
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: attractive for a lot of reasons because I don't have
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: to wait for them to get a quarterback too. It's like,
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: I'm not I don't have a problem this point. I
• 12:54
  Speaker 1: don't need to jump onto a sinking ship with a
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: nice story. I'd done that, but I don't have anyone else,

  Speaker 1: and I kind of'm just gonna let it ride. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: just be like an NFL fan and just oh, you're

  Speaker 1: romblow with the NFL. Yeah, yeah, in the crowd. But

  Speaker 1: I do like the Chargers are wishy washy, like oh,

  Speaker 1: Chargers are like the little brother in in la Uh.

  Speaker 1: That's why I really like the Chargers. It gives a

  Speaker 1: little bit of an essence of what I loved about

  Speaker 1: the Browns is like the little brother that gets picked on.

  Speaker 1: I am, I'm the youngest of four. I know that vibe.

  Speaker 1: I love that little scrappy like mentality. But then I

  Speaker 1: went to Chargers camp and I asked all these players, like,

  Speaker 1: what what how does it feel to me like the

  Speaker 1: younger brother, and all of them were like, the Rams

  Speaker 1: are really good and like really happy to share a

  Speaker 1: city with them, and I'm like, that's disgusting, backbone. Yeah,

  Speaker 1: you need to be you need to be a little angrier,

  Speaker 1: a little bit more motivated to overtake that ramsam Um okay,
