- 0:46Speaker 3: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. This is Curly and I have
- 0:50Speaker 3: in studio Lisa Odie, the Queen. Hello, and I have
- 0:55Speaker 3: Hollis Lewis who couldn't make it to the studio and
- 0:59Speaker 3: he's on He's on the line today.
- 1:01Speaker 4: So do we have an all right?
- 1:04Speaker 5: We got him out there making things happen.
- 1:06Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:07Speaker 3: In most cases, I usually like somebody to start off
- 1:11Speaker 3: on some kind of a story or a topic that
- 1:15Speaker 3: they have.
- 1:17Speaker 4: I don't know if this is fortunate or unfortunate.
- 1:21Speaker 3: But I I am this this butler thing.
- 1:26Speaker 5: This butler thing.
- 1:27Speaker 3: Did you hear that, did Jimmy Butler Butler.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Yes, O man, And.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I will let you two say whatever you want to
- 1:39Speaker 3: say after I kind of.
- 1:42Speaker 4: Dig into this, and here's my here's my issue.
- 1:49Speaker 3: My first question is, Okay, so he's played for he's
- 1:55Speaker 3: fourteen years in four teams.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Right with that being said, I'm going to ask the
- 2:02Speaker 3: question or I'm going to make a statement. He's not
- 2:06Speaker 3: Kobe Bryant. No, we're remotely close. He's not He's not
- 2:13Speaker 3: himj not even remotely close. Okay, So wherever he ranks
- 2:18Speaker 3: into where basketball is today, he is nowhere of somebody
- 2:23Speaker 3: who I'm going to sit around and think about after
- 2:28Speaker 3: they retire.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Like, you know, he may go into the Hall of Fame,
- 2:30Speaker 4: he may do all those.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Kind of things, but he's not going to be the
- 2:34Speaker 3: guy who people are going to be like, oh yeah, man,
- 2:36Speaker 3: Jimmy butlery, I just don't.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I don't see that.
- 2:40Speaker 5: You don't say you don't think he's the face of
- 2:42Speaker 5: the NBA. No what you're saying.
- 2:44Speaker 4: No, we're even close. He could be great, right.
- 2:47Speaker 6: And just to provide context, he got suspended because he
- 2:51Speaker 6: spent it in definitely for walking out of a practice
- 2:54Speaker 6: or shoot around because he wasn't going to start the game.
- 2:57Speaker 6: And outside of that, he's been going through various contract
- 3:01Speaker 6: dispute to one out of Miami.
- 3:02Speaker 3: And yes, and he and and and part of that
- 3:06Speaker 3: too is not being at practice, coming to practice late
- 3:11Speaker 3: because it's.
- 3:12Speaker 7: Been a pattern of behavior absolute to the suspension. In fact,
- 3:16Speaker 7: didn't he have a suspension and then got suspended again?
- 3:19Speaker 5: From the way I understand it, Yes, yes.
- 3:23Speaker 3: My question my question or not. I'm not even gonna
- 3:28Speaker 3: impose this as a question. I'm gonna state this to me,
- 3:31Speaker 3: this is where new athletes, not every new athlete, but
- 3:37Speaker 3: the but the talented athlete who's not top tier but
- 3:43Speaker 3: he's in. He's somebody that you might know and and
- 3:47Speaker 3: has great stats and all that kind of stuff. But
- 3:51Speaker 3: he's not Michael Jordan. He's not Kobe Bryant. What makes
- 3:56Speaker 3: him think that the fact that we're talking about him,
- 4:01Speaker 3: he should be bothered by that because we're not talking
- 4:05Speaker 3: about his game.
- 4:06Speaker 4: We're talking about his.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Actions, right, and.
- 4:10Speaker 3: That behavior that he that conduct, that what he tries
- 4:13Speaker 3: to show towards at the end of everywhere he's gone.
- 4:19Speaker 4: To me, he thinks he's way better than the game.
- 4:23Speaker 3: He thinks he's more important than the game and what
- 4:26Speaker 3: he deserves and what he gets that should that should
- 4:30Speaker 3: come automatically because he deserves it, and I'm saying, no,
- 4:33Speaker 3: you do not.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Paullus, Well, I think it's one of those things where
- 4:40Speaker 6: I don't know far as the legacy is concerned, that
- 4:44Speaker 6: he is concerned about how he's portrayed in this limited
- 4:49Speaker 6: you know, in this scenario. And unfortunately, I think that
- 4:54Speaker 6: you know, this is sort of the motive oparandus of
- 4:57Speaker 6: how athletes are you know, they're not beholden to a team.
- 5:03Speaker 6: They don't care about that if they want to leave,
- 5:05Speaker 6: it's time to go. Particularly in basketball, they're saying, hey,
- 5:09Speaker 6: you should let me out. I should be able to go,
- 5:11Speaker 6: and I should be able to negotiate the terms that
- 5:14Speaker 6: I want to leave. In fact, I want to go
- 5:15Speaker 6: to this team. So that's a lot. A lot of
- 5:17Speaker 6: basketball players have moved, you know, kind of in the
- 5:20Speaker 6: Lebron era. And to your point, I mean, he's definitely
- 5:23Speaker 6: not those guys, but he is, you know, a good
- 5:26Speaker 6: player in this generation. So it's not something that's going
- 5:30Speaker 6: to necessarily I don't think it hurts his legacy, but
- 5:33Speaker 6: it doesn't help them either.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Well, let me let me let me respond to that
- 5:36Speaker 3: real quick. Okay, okay, but now Lebron jumps around. I
- 5:41Speaker 3: didn't say anything about where you play, right, you know,
- 5:45Speaker 3: I don't care if you want to go play somewhere
- 5:46Speaker 3: else and you want to negotiate all that kind of stuff.
- 5:49Speaker 4: My question or my concern is.
- 5:53Speaker 3: You go through all that and then you're gonna show
- 5:57Speaker 3: up practice late, You're gonna leave practice because you're mad
- 6:00Speaker 3: at something, something didn't go your way.
- 6:03Speaker 6: But again, I think I would agree with you in
- 6:06Speaker 6: that this definitely is not professional. But at the same time, again,
- 6:11Speaker 6: particularly has it in basketball NBA basketball, it just seems
- 6:15Speaker 6: like just how those guys move if you're not willing
- 6:18Speaker 6: to concede to the things that they wanted, the mass trade,
- 6:22Speaker 6: so and so forth, that they feel like, hey, tray
- 6:25Speaker 6: me now, I shouldn't have to wait. I'm ready to
- 6:27Speaker 6: go now. I have the power, I have the leverage,
- 6:29Speaker 6: which in this case, I don't know if that's true
- 6:33Speaker 6: with him, because I you know, I.
- 6:34Speaker 7: Don't know, Well, he was eligible for an extension that
- 6:37Speaker 7: the heat did not grant so far, so I think
- 6:40Speaker 7: that that's been on the table for some time.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Is that crack guys? I think so y, So he's
- 6:44Speaker 5: a little upset about that.
- 6:45Speaker 7: But I will say this, and this is kind of
- 6:48Speaker 7: a side note to what we're talking about with this
- 6:50Speaker 7: behavior and his suspensions. But he recently, and I think
- 6:54Speaker 7: it was even maybe today, he made a video with
- 6:57Speaker 7: he and his friends and he was making this Joe
- 7:00Speaker 7: video of where he's making a purchase from a cashier
- 7:04Speaker 7: let's just say wherever, some type of merchant, and his
- 7:08Speaker 7: card is declined, and so the guy says, oh, you're
- 7:12Speaker 7: currently unemployed, so your card doesn't work here, sir, and
- 7:14Speaker 7: they all laughed and joked.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Well, this was this was.
- 7:17Speaker 7: I found this on like a heat Miami heat like
- 7:20Speaker 7: media site, and I will tell you this, the fans
- 7:23Speaker 7: were not amused. The comments that I read were just like,
- 7:26Speaker 7: you know, can't wait until least somebody else's problem. You know,
- 7:30Speaker 7: you're making forty five million a year. This is drawn
- 7:33Speaker 7: out too long, This isn't funny. So obviously it's time
- 7:37Speaker 7: for them to part ways. He needs to get out
- 7:39Speaker 7: of Miami yesterday. The fans need to, you know, find
- 7:43Speaker 7: some closure, and you know, whatever happens, wish him well,
- 7:46Speaker 7: but definitely he's not going to be welcome there, regardless
- 7:50Speaker 7: of whether he wants to stay or not, as.
- 7:52Speaker 3: A as a as a former professional athlete, and putting
- 7:55Speaker 3: professional athletes all in kind of one one, lenk Okay,
- 8:02Speaker 3: there is a there is a there's a there's a
- 8:05Speaker 3: reality in your mind of how good you were even
- 8:11Speaker 3: while you're playing, how good you are in that moment,
- 8:15Speaker 3: and and as as great as I wanted to think
- 8:19Speaker 3: I was. And we got a game on Sunday, and
- 8:24Speaker 3: let's say we're playing to Washington Redskins and there's Daryl
- 8:27Speaker 3: Green gonna be coming, and he's gonna We're gonna play
- 8:30Speaker 3: the Redskins and he's gonna be back corner.
- 8:33Speaker 4: It's not hard for me to watch.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Him because I'm like thinking, man, he's even better than me.
- 8:40Speaker 3: You know, I'm not trying to downplay me, but if
- 8:47Speaker 3: he's not acting a certain kind of way, how can
- 8:52Speaker 3: I if Kobe didn't do that? Yeah, if if if
- 8:59Speaker 3: I mean it's it's it's not.
- 9:03Speaker 6: I know.
- 9:03Speaker 3: He doesn't think anything about any of that. He's just
- 9:06Speaker 3: he's about him. Which is the problem in the game
- 9:10Speaker 3: that no game, no professional sport that is a team sport.
- 9:15Speaker 4: Are you the man from a from a standpoint.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Of it's a team sport, dude, like, you can't you
- 9:21Speaker 3: can't go beat five other players.
- 9:23Speaker 4: You can't get out there by yourself and beat five
- 9:24Speaker 4: other players.
- 9:25Speaker 7: And to your point, this doesn't help the NBA's calls. No,
- 9:27Speaker 7: we already know viewership is way down. And so when
- 9:31Speaker 7: you've got guys, you know, pulling these shenanigans on on
- 9:34Speaker 7: social media and you know, making light, I mean, the
- 9:37Speaker 7: guy makes millions of dollars and he's pretending like his
- 9:40Speaker 7: cards to climb. I mean, in this day and age,
- 9:43Speaker 7: that's probably not something to joke about.
- 9:44Speaker 4: No, take that personal, right.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Right, Yeah, But I also think again, just to play
- 9:51Speaker 6: Devil's advocates, I mean, the NBA has created this and
- 9:54Speaker 6: NBA players unfortunately have the leverage because you could take it.
- 9:58Speaker 6: Because I could argue that you could place Jimmy Butler
- 10:02Speaker 6: right now, because I think that what he wants to
- 10:04Speaker 6: go to it. I think the landing spot is Phoenix
- 10:06Speaker 6: and he'll be playing with Kevin Durants. So if you
- 10:09Speaker 6: take a guy like Jimmy Butler and you take him
- 10:11Speaker 6: to Phoenix or the Lakers, or Golden State or maybe
- 10:15Speaker 6: Chicago or the Knicks. If you take a guy like him,
- 10:18Speaker 6: they could possibly position himself for a championship. And again
- 10:22Speaker 6: the NBA, unlike other sports, all it takes, maybe is
- 10:26Speaker 6: that one guy to move and you can, you know,
- 10:29Speaker 6: put yourself in a championship position. So they unfortunately or
- 10:34Speaker 6: fortunately however you view it, they have the leverage at
- 10:38Speaker 6: this point and they're exercising that leverage. And to their point, hey,
- 10:43Speaker 6: I got the money, I can I could get fired,
- 10:46Speaker 6: I could get suspend it. It doesn't matter because another team
- 10:49Speaker 6: is going to pick him up. It's not as though
- 10:51Speaker 6: this hurts him.
- 10:52Speaker 4: But okay, so let me let me challenge let me
- 10:55Speaker 4: challenge you on this.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Okay, the concept of Lebron and him winning a championship. Now,
- 11:04Speaker 3: if he's not a dominant player, okay, then then there
- 11:08Speaker 3: isn't a dominant player right now. But he is learning
- 11:12Speaker 3: and has learned that you can't just be the only
- 11:15Speaker 3: dude on the team and and win a championship. You're
- 11:19Speaker 3: not gonna win a championship with just one guy anymore.
- 11:21Speaker 4: That's not happening.
- 11:23Speaker 5: You have to have a supporting I mean.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Go back and look, go back to look at Chicago.
- 11:29Speaker 3: It wasn't just it wasn't just him j. They had
- 11:32Speaker 3: some actual dudes. Scottie Pippen could play. He is not
- 11:38Speaker 3: the guy, and and and and even to your point, Hollis,
- 11:41Speaker 3: if if, even if I would agree to say that
- 11:44Speaker 3: you can win with one guy, he ain't the guy he's.
- 11:48Speaker 6: I'm not saying, well, I'm not saying that.
- 11:50Speaker 4: I'm not saying I think I think what he's is No.
- 11:54Speaker 4: I don't think I think he thinks he is.
- 11:56Speaker 6: No. But I think with the I think he realizes
- 11:59Speaker 6: with another guy, Uh, if I'm teamed up with Lebron,
- 12:02Speaker 6: if I'm teamed up with Steph, if I teamed up
- 12:05Speaker 6: with Kevin Durant, I think he realized that. That's because again,
- 12:09Speaker 6: you're not asking to go to Phoenix and play with
- 12:12Speaker 6: Kevin Durant. If you think you the guy, kids, you're
- 12:15Speaker 6: not going to be the guy with him, You're going
- 12:17Speaker 6: to be you know, batman or excuse me, Robin to
- 12:19Speaker 6: his batman. You know what I mean.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Well, and here's the other thing.
- 12:23Speaker 7: When when do we say as a team, as an
- 12:25Speaker 7: NBA team like the Phoenix Suns, when do they say,
- 12:28Speaker 7: you know, we don't need this toxic person in our
- 12:31Speaker 7: locker rim, we don't need this guy making you know,
- 12:34Speaker 7: he thinks funny videos on social media that kind of
- 12:39Speaker 7: you know, makes fun of people without money and their
- 12:42Speaker 7: cards getting declined. When when does a team stand up
- 12:45Speaker 7: and say we don't need that. I mean, sometimes you
- 12:47Speaker 7: can back yourself into a corner. Do you not agree
- 12:49Speaker 7: with with your behaviors like that?
- 12:51Speaker 6: I think you're right to a degree. But I also
- 12:54Speaker 6: think they're saying, hey, this guy would and I think
- 12:57Speaker 6: he stated at the onset a coach that, helly fourteen
- 13:00Speaker 6: years in so it ain't like he's going to be
- 13:03Speaker 6: there for another ten or fifteen years. We're gonna have
- 13:05Speaker 6: this guy for you know, a year to maybe three
- 13:08Speaker 6: years max. So if we could keep him for anywhere
- 13:11Speaker 6: from between the three excuse me, one to three years,
- 13:14Speaker 6: possibly win a championship, possibly get to a championship, Hey,
- 13:18Speaker 6: we'll deal with the consequences thereafter. So I don't think
- 13:21Speaker 6: he's a looking at these guys, a guy like Jimmy
- 13:24Speaker 6: Jimmy Butler, and I don't want to say he's a journeyman, but.
- 13:30Speaker 4: I would. I think that's right.
- 13:35Speaker 6: I think he's a little bit above that far as
- 13:37Speaker 6: talent and what he's been able to do with, you know,
- 13:39Speaker 6: particularly in places like Chicago and in Miami. But he's
- 13:42Speaker 6: not a Steph Curry. He's not. He's not the Greek freak.
- 13:45Speaker 6: He's not Lebron. He's not on that level. So hey,
- 13:48Speaker 6: I could deal with even out and if it gets
- 13:50Speaker 6: too bad, Tom, you know, I'll get out.
- 13:53Speaker 4: I'm not gonna risk.
- 13:54Speaker 3: I'm not gonna risk the chemistry of what I have
- 14:00Speaker 3: bring him in because there has to be somebody as
- 14:03Speaker 3: as talented as him who doesn't have because I already
- 14:07Speaker 3: know I've seen everywhere he's gone there's an issue, there's
- 14:11Speaker 3: something that he said, something he's done, something that I
- 14:15Speaker 3: don't like. Everywhere he's gone and here he is now
- 14:19Speaker 3: still doing the same exact thing. And I agree with
- 14:23Speaker 3: the Hollis that I think he'll end up somewhere. You know,
- 14:27Speaker 3: I don't think the NBA will will will not somebody
- 14:31Speaker 3: won't grab him. But my reason of wanting to hit
- 14:35Speaker 3: this subject was because this is something that has this behavior.
- 14:42Speaker 3: This kind of stuff is totally new in professional sports.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Not totally and I don't mean brand new, but it's
- 14:51Speaker 3: it's new. There's always been players who thought they were
- 14:55Speaker 3: good in most cases. Though they had that, they actually
- 15:00Speaker 3: did have that. They didn't say it.
- 15:02Speaker 5: They could back it up.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Yeah, they could back it up. You know, if Lt.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Lawrence Taylor starts talking, if he started talking some smack
- 15:10Speaker 3: about like he deserves this amount of money in a contract,
- 15:14Speaker 3: or he's not coming to training camp, everybody is looking
- 15:18Speaker 3: at that and they're buying that cause he's potentially the
- 15:22Speaker 3: best linebacker to.
- 15:24Speaker 4: Have played the game.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Right, Jimmy Butler, what what what do you say about
- 15:30Speaker 3: him when he's dead? He's me as far as eperserd.
- 15:34Speaker 4: He's me. Dude, you played, you played some time and
- 15:37Speaker 4: you did great.
- 15:38Speaker 3: But you're not on that or you're not on you're
- 15:42Speaker 3: not on Kobe Bryant's level.
- 15:44Speaker 4: You just don't get it.
- 15:46Speaker 5: But didn't the heat kind of create this monster? I
- 15:48Speaker 5: mean I would go.
- 15:49Speaker 7: They allowed a lot of things special for him, which
- 15:52Speaker 7: I understand. If this is the guy, this is your
- 15:54Speaker 7: market man, and he's making the money and he's bringing
- 15:56Speaker 7: in the fans, I get it. They do get special
- 15:59Speaker 7: accommodations compared to the other, you know, team team members,
- 16:02Speaker 7: But to a degree, there's gotta be some resentment when
- 16:05Speaker 7: the guy gets to fly on his private jet and
- 16:08Speaker 7: he's allowed to skip on, you know, right practices or
- 16:11Speaker 7: be late, and there's no ramifications when there are ramifications
- 16:14Speaker 7: for them.
- 16:15Speaker 5: So to me, there's.
- 16:16Speaker 7: There Maybe maybe I'm totally off base on this, but
- 16:20Speaker 7: to me, I feel like there there may be some
- 16:22Speaker 7: maybe some size of relief from that team when they
- 16:25Speaker 7: realize that he's moving on.
- 16:26Speaker 3: I don't know, and I and I think that to
- 16:29Speaker 3: your point, the problem that we had with herschel Walker
- 16:35Speaker 3: was this was the actual reality of what special things
- 16:39Speaker 3: that they did for him to get him right, Okay,
- 16:42Speaker 3: and not not just that, but the players that we
- 16:44Speaker 3: had to give up to to solidify the trades right
- 16:51Speaker 3: and then at he could never blend in because one
- 16:57Speaker 3: like you just can't come in, and and and the
- 16:59Speaker 3: idea was he was so great, He's the guy that's
- 17:02Speaker 3: gonna take us to the.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Mountains, take us there.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Well, we're sitting there, We're looking at him and trying
- 17:07Speaker 3: to figure out, like in practice, we're trying to figure
- 17:09Speaker 3: out like, well, well, he's no better than some of
- 17:13Speaker 3: the guys that we lost. We need those guys compared
- 17:16Speaker 3: to him, we can get a running back, right, right,
- 17:19Speaker 3: So I kind of feel like he And again I
- 17:23Speaker 3: think he felt he felt special, but he could never
- 17:26Speaker 3: fit in.
- 17:28Speaker 4: In Minnesota because.
- 17:31Speaker 5: That's that doesn't happen.
- 17:33Speaker 3: It just doesn't happen because because that had, that was
- 17:35Speaker 3: something totally new. And I'm going to make the case
- 17:38Speaker 3: that while these guys will hang out with him, maybe
- 17:41Speaker 3: speak to him, maybe all of that, they don't like it.
- 17:46Speaker 4: They don't like it.
- 17:48Speaker 6: I would argue, I mean, I would argue, and again
- 17:51Speaker 6: I think that's I don't know if I would make
- 17:54Speaker 6: that compression. I don't know. No team in it. I
- 17:55Speaker 6: don't think any team in the NBA that would possibly
- 17:58Speaker 6: land Jimmy Butler with think oh, he's going to be
- 18:01Speaker 6: the same, He's gonna get us to the promised land.
- 18:02Speaker 6: I think any team that lands him they realize that
- 18:06Speaker 6: he's just a piece.
- 18:07Speaker 3: I'll say this, I'll say this, I'll say this to you. Yes,
- 18:11Speaker 3: if you come in and be part, but if you
- 18:14Speaker 3: start saying all this crazy stuff and you start doing
- 18:16Speaker 3: all this crazy stuff and I'm not talking about but
- 18:21Speaker 3: that's what he's but but my my, my comparison, my
- 18:26Speaker 3: comparison is Herschel just didn't have what everybody thought he
- 18:31Speaker 3: had at that at the professional level to take a
- 18:34Speaker 3: team that was already close enough.
- 18:40Speaker 4: My problem with Butler.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Is he he's not He thinks it is about him,
- 18:48Speaker 3: and it's not going to be It's not going to
- 18:50Speaker 3: be you. And you said it earlier, but you said,
- 18:52Speaker 3: but you said.
- 18:53Speaker 4: If he it's somebody else. Okay, I don't think he does.
- 18:58Speaker 6: You're not You're not want to go play with Kevin
- 19:01Speaker 6: Durant if you don't realize that. You have to realize
- 19:04Speaker 6: that if you're going to go play with Kevin Durant
- 19:06Speaker 6: in Phoenix, that you're not going to be the number
- 19:09Speaker 6: one option here, and that's just what it is. You
- 19:11Speaker 6: are going to be a piece of a building block
- 19:14Speaker 6: to them getting to a championship because you just don't.
- 19:18Speaker 6: If that's the case, then you stay in Miami where
- 19:20Speaker 6: you already are.
- 19:26Speaker 7: But but listen, So I agree with what you're saying.
- 19:29Speaker 7: But what if he walks in to this locker room
- 19:32Speaker 7: and expects the same treatment that he got at you know,
- 19:35Speaker 7: with the heat, and he's going to change his whole
- 19:40Speaker 7: mindset because he changed teams.
- 19:43Speaker 6: I think you're I think what he's doing now he's acting.
- 19:45Speaker 6: Actually he wants to leave Jimmy Butler. That's his motive operatas.
- 19:49Speaker 6: He does good for a while, far is that, and
- 19:51Speaker 6: then when he gets antsy or when things aren't working out,
- 19:53Speaker 6: then he wants to go. Like I said, I think
- 19:55Speaker 6: he's going to last two or three seasons.
- 19:56Speaker 4: There maybe three people.
- 19:59Speaker 6: And that's if if that he's fourteen years in at that.
- 20:02Speaker 6: It's not like he's not that. I mean, he's he's
- 20:05Speaker 6: a I'm not second calling him a second rate player,
- 20:08Speaker 6: but he's not on that superstar players above. I don't
- 20:11Speaker 6: call him that. He's a really really good NBA player,
- 20:14Speaker 6: but he's not you know, Lebron, he's not the rant.
- 20:17Speaker 6: But while we was talking about the NBA, you know,
- 20:21Speaker 6: Adam Silver, he has said over the last couple of months,
- 20:24Speaker 6: because at least that you mentioned it, about the falling
- 20:27Speaker 6: ratings and the NBA over the particular the last twelve
- 20:29Speaker 6: years and the rule changes. And I read today that
- 20:33Speaker 6: one of the rule changes that he is proposing is
- 20:36Speaker 6: to drop the quarters from twelve minutes to ten minutes,
- 20:41Speaker 6: so instead of twelve minute quarters, there will be ten
- 20:43Speaker 6: minute quarters. And basically the justification that he gave that
- 20:47Speaker 6: it would align with you know, timing of basketball around
- 20:53Speaker 6: the world to get the games down a two minutes.
- 20:55Speaker 6: So what are you guys thoughts on that, and what
- 20:58Speaker 6: other rules changes do you think would help, you know,
- 21:02Speaker 6: get the NBA's breaking back up.
- 21:04Speaker 5: So they play four quarters in NBA, correct, so that the.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Fans for twelve minute quarters, okay.
- 21:09Speaker 7: But they'll go down to ten basically, is that what
- 21:11Speaker 7: you're saying. So, so the fans lose eight minutes of
- 21:14Speaker 7: viewing Tom, they get less.
- 21:16Speaker 5: They get less for the money.
- 21:19Speaker 3: But I don't think I'm right where I'm right where
- 21:23Speaker 3: is because here's the other thing. Let's just say, okay,
- 21:27Speaker 3: it cost me twenty five dollars to get in for
- 21:31Speaker 3: twenty twelve for twelve cheap seats.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Yeah, for cheap seats for.
- 21:36Speaker 3: A twelve minute game, a twelve quarter game. Yeah, for
- 21:39Speaker 3: a twelve quarter game. I've just used it in number.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Now you're gonna cut me down to ten minutes, and
- 21:45Speaker 3: you're gonna still charge me the.
- 21:47Speaker 5: Same amount of money, exactly.
- 21:49Speaker 4: A man, I'm not going for that.
- 21:51Speaker 6: You're looking at it from a wonderful But what I'm
- 21:53Speaker 6: saying is what you get. And I think that if
- 21:55Speaker 6: you got a ten minute quarter, so that way, you
- 21:58Speaker 6: got a forty minute game, I think you get a
- 22:00Speaker 6: more intense game. Remember the college basketball is basically a
- 22:05Speaker 6: ten minute quarter game. And I think that if you
- 22:08Speaker 6: go to that the NBA, you can get a more
- 22:10Speaker 6: intense game house. And I'll sacrifice those minutes for a
- 22:14Speaker 6: better intensity because that way, right now, you don't got
- 22:18Speaker 6: time to dally dally. You got to get to it
- 22:20Speaker 6: because it's coming to fast, because you'll be surprised. That's
- 22:23Speaker 6: like losing two minutes in basketball is like losing five
- 22:26Speaker 6: or six in football. Two minutes of basketballs forever. So
- 22:30Speaker 6: I think you'll get a better thing.
- 22:32Speaker 5: Well, I mean that's that's that's that's a good point.
- 22:35Speaker 7: I'm not sure, but I mean I think that's a
- 22:38Speaker 7: good theory.
- 22:40Speaker 5: Now whether that plays out or not, that's another story.
- 22:42Speaker 7: But I do think the fans with you at as
- 22:45Speaker 7: losing time and spending the same amount of money for
- 22:49Speaker 7: I mean, I don't know if that's the right move.
- 22:51Speaker 5: It could be, could be.
- 22:53Speaker 6: Because we talked to it, because they talked and we've
- 22:55Speaker 6: mentioned like not just us, but I think fans they
- 22:59Speaker 6: mentioned like cutting down on the season, because generally like that,
- 23:03Speaker 6: I would go, I.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Would say, that's where I would go.
- 23:07Speaker 3: I would cut the season, I would cut down the games,
- 23:10Speaker 3: leave the time on the clock, because when I pay
- 23:13Speaker 3: for that, I want to get as much. I don't
- 23:15Speaker 3: care what you as the player want. I want as
- 23:18Speaker 3: much of the game as I can get.
- 23:20Speaker 6: I want a better game you can. I don't care
- 23:23Speaker 6: about if you're just playing longer, great, well here's the problem.
- 23:26Speaker 3: But here's here's here's how you get a better game.
- 23:30Speaker 3: You have less games, because you have less games.
- 23:34Speaker 4: And they all matter.
- 23:39Speaker 6: I mean, like I said, I'm not necessarily opposed to that,
- 23:43Speaker 6: but I think realistically they're not going to do that
- 23:45Speaker 6: obviously because the ticket sales. But I think this is
- 23:48Speaker 6: the happy medium. I think if you cut the games down,
- 23:50Speaker 6: and I think you can get more intensity within the
- 23:53Speaker 6: games that have already being played because you don't have
- 23:56Speaker 6: you know what I'm saying, you're losing a minute.
- 23:57Speaker 4: You're losing almost sport.
- 23:59Speaker 7: If that's coming from an educated fan, when you talk
- 24:02Speaker 7: about the layman fan that's taking little Johnny to see.
- 24:04Speaker 5: You know, whoever play in the NBA. You want as
- 24:07Speaker 5: much time as possible.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Or let's do better than that. Let's don't go to
- 24:09Speaker 3: little Johnny, let's go to the owners. Let's go to
- 24:13Speaker 3: the people who are making the money, because we need
- 24:18Speaker 3: we want people in the seats, and we got people
- 24:21Speaker 3: in the seats for X number of games. You you know,
- 24:25Speaker 3: I'm not giving that up.
- 24:27Speaker 4: I don't want to give that up.
- 24:29Speaker 5: So we'll just cut off to give a game.
- 24:33Speaker 6: I rather sacrifice the minutes within the game.
- 24:35Speaker 4: If I'm a.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Player, take the games away, because that and that allows
- 24:39Speaker 3: me to play more.
- 24:40Speaker 4: If I'm a fan, you know, I don't. I probably
- 24:45Speaker 4: don't want either one, to be.
- 24:47Speaker 5: Honest, that's true.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Because if I can't, if I.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Can't watch it, if I can't watch that game, you
- 24:52Speaker 3: know what I say to myself, I watch it next
- 24:54Speaker 3: week or in a couple of days, there's another one
- 24:56Speaker 3: on next day.
- 24:57Speaker 4: That's a couple of days.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Because there's so many and it's just it's just overload.
- 25:02Speaker 7: I mean, they start and what do we what decide
- 25:05Speaker 7: in October maybe.
- 25:07Speaker 6: At October y pre season stuff like that.
- 25:09Speaker 7: And the finals end in June. Right first week of June.
- 25:12Speaker 7: I mean that's almost year round.
- 25:14Speaker 3: You're already back, you're you're just about ready to start football.
- 25:18Speaker 7: Right by the time, it's just and you can get
- 25:22Speaker 7: tired of it. I mean, it's just a lot. And
- 25:24Speaker 7: then they have to compete with when college basketball gets
- 25:26Speaker 7: exciting in March, you know that that kind of drops
- 25:29Speaker 7: off their viewership. I'm sure people would rather watch the
- 25:32Speaker 7: college you know, collegiate tournament.
- 25:35Speaker 5: But I don't know. I think it's a good try.
- 25:38Speaker 5: I mean it's a good start.
- 25:39Speaker 6: Well, okay, what else? What else would you try? I mean,
- 25:42Speaker 6: my what's that?
- 25:45Speaker 5: Cut games four minutes?
- 25:48Speaker 6: Besides that, they're not going to so what what do
- 25:50Speaker 6: you do to they're not cutting games? We know that
- 25:52Speaker 6: they're not going to do that. So if you're not
- 25:54Speaker 6: going to cut games, what else do you do if
- 25:56Speaker 6: you're the NBA to fight viewership?
- 26:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I think the time the time thing is a
- 26:02Speaker 7: good start, like I said, and see how it goes.
- 26:04Speaker 7: It may make things better. I think they have to
- 26:06Speaker 7: try something. They have to do something, and I think
- 26:08Speaker 7: that's a good place to start. But if that doesn't work,
- 26:11Speaker 7: then they have to look at cutting back the season.
- 26:13Speaker 6: In my opinion, See, I'm I'm coaching gonna like this.
- 26:17Speaker 6: I think again, I think you start with what the
- 26:22Speaker 6: NFL did. I think you do because the NFL, when
- 26:24Speaker 6: they were having problems to cushings everything like that. They
- 26:27Speaker 6: actually went back to you. They started to heads up programs,
- 26:31Speaker 6: started to educate the coaches and everything like that in
- 26:33Speaker 6: order to improve tackling at the at the bit at
- 26:36Speaker 6: the migic league level or the little league level. So
- 26:39Speaker 6: I think basketball needs to go back and do that
- 26:42Speaker 6: and start to you know, educate coaches and actually bring
- 26:47Speaker 6: back position basketball. So right now, because it sounded nice
- 26:52Speaker 6: when you have positionless basketball, so when you have a
- 26:54Speaker 6: seven footer who can you know, shoot and do all
- 26:57Speaker 6: the things and and dribble and all that. But I
- 27:00Speaker 6: think what happens is it sort of blends the game
- 27:02Speaker 6: out where everybody's doing the same thing. So I think
- 27:06Speaker 6: you need more shocks, right, You need more alan iverson.
- 27:10Speaker 6: You need those dynamic players who look drastically different that
- 27:14Speaker 6: can do different things within the game because the game
- 27:17Speaker 6: is almost like one. Notice like eating, it's like eating
- 27:19Speaker 6: the same food every day and it's the same thing
- 27:22Speaker 6: every day. It's no variety, no change. So I think
- 27:25Speaker 6: you started to make it. I think that you do
- 27:27Speaker 6: in best and literally biddy basketball and bring back position basketball.
- 27:32Speaker 4: See, and I think and we've got to take a
- 27:34Speaker 4: quick break here.
- 27:35Speaker 3: But here here's the problem that I think that when
- 27:37Speaker 3: you talk about position basketball, because I buy it, but
- 27:43Speaker 3: you're not gonna get you know, the Unfortunately, there is
- 27:47Speaker 3: a six to six point guard. He's he's been doing
- 27:51Speaker 3: that forever and now you're gonna try to make him
- 27:54Speaker 3: a forward.
- 27:56Speaker 4: That's gonna be you know, he's got to go to
- 27:58Speaker 4: the mat.
- 27:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that's improblem And I just don't know these these
- 28:02Speaker 3: these guys that are six five six six, handle the ball,
- 28:07Speaker 3: pass it, shoot threes, all of that kind of stuff.
- 28:10Speaker 4: They're no longer they're not going to put their back
- 28:12Speaker 4: to the to the basket. They can make a move.
- 28:15Speaker 4: And I'm not saying that, but that when you.
- 28:17Speaker 6: Teach it when they're five and six years old, maybe
- 28:19Speaker 6: they'll be accustomed to it. And I think if you
- 28:21Speaker 6: bring back a philosophy of of of of traditional American basketball,
- 28:27Speaker 6: only if.
- 28:27Speaker 4: You don't see it, make the game, only if you
- 28:30Speaker 4: don't see it.
- 28:30Speaker 3: If you if if if you're a tall kid and
- 28:33Speaker 3: you're middle school and you watch you're watching basketball, and
- 28:37Speaker 3: you watch and you see a guy who's six '
- 28:39Speaker 3: five that you know, you know, let's just say it
- 28:41Speaker 3: was when magic was there. You didn't have all those
- 28:44Speaker 3: people being there, wasn't everybody, everybody didn't have a magic
- 28:49Speaker 3: But you see that guy and all of a sudden,
- 28:52Speaker 3: everybody starts wanting to be that.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Guy, right, true, I mean right, you're right about that.
- 28:58Speaker 6: So I can't.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's a that's a tough thing because
- 29:03Speaker 3: once you see the guy that's that.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Tall, what do you what do you want to do?
- 29:09Speaker 4: You want to go? You want to you want to
- 29:11Speaker 4: be that guy, especially if you're that tall.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Now if you if you if you're four foot short
- 29:17Speaker 3: than that person, you're not you know, yeah, you want
- 29:20Speaker 3: to be the guard.
- 29:21Speaker 4: That's the only thing that you can be.
- 29:24Speaker 3: And that unfortunately, that's that's a bad thing because and
- 29:28Speaker 3: I say all, I say this all the time to
- 29:32Speaker 3: especially when you start talking about football.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Football is about metrics. It's about the metrics.
- 29:37Speaker 3: You got to be this this hand, your armspan's got
- 29:42Speaker 3: to be that, your speed's got to be that.
- 29:44Speaker 4: It's in. Everything is about the metrics, even to get
- 29:48Speaker 4: a chance.
- 29:49Speaker 6: But football is also about position. About football is that
- 29:55Speaker 6: this guy plays this position, that guy plays that positions
- 30:00Speaker 6: And that's why people love it because it's locked in.
- 30:04Speaker 6: We know what these guys do basketball. Everybody's doing everything
- 30:09Speaker 6: they do.
- 30:09Speaker 4: Change some guys, but I agree with you that in.
- 30:12Speaker 6: Most cases we're talking about two or three guys on
- 30:15Speaker 6: the order team.
- 30:16Speaker 3: I give you that. I give you that. I'm not
- 30:17Speaker 3: trying to change it position. Yes, I give you that.
- 30:22Speaker 6: That's why again it's locked in. We know what everybody's doing.
- 30:25Speaker 3: All right, Well, we need to take a quick break,
- 30:27Speaker 3: and ladies and gentlemen, we'll be right back.

- 31:29Speaker 2: the conversation.
- 31:30Speaker 3: All Right, ladies and gentlemen, I think I think we've
- 31:34Speaker 3: we've fought enough one.
- 31:35Speaker 5: Let's move on to a new fight. What what the
- 31:38Speaker 5: new battle?
- 31:38Speaker 4: What's the new battle? You got over there, Lacy, do
- 31:40Speaker 4: you have it or this? Pologies?
- 31:42Speaker 7: Oh well, I just wanted to like just throw out
- 31:45Speaker 7: there a little bit, maybe have a little discussion about
- 31:47Speaker 7: the AFC and NFC championships that took place this past weekend.
- 31:52Speaker 7: Maybe start with the the NFC Championship, which would be
- 31:55Speaker 7: the Eagles versus the Commanders, and of course the Eagles
- 31:58Speaker 7: won that pretty handily. Yeah, fifty five to twenty three.
- 32:01Speaker 7: Most people know that. There were some interesting things that
- 32:05Speaker 7: I came across when I was doing some research about
- 32:07Speaker 7: some of the past history of the AFC game, and
- 32:12Speaker 7: I'm sorry, the NFC game and then what occurred on Sunday,
- 32:15Speaker 7: And one of the things was that if you're going
- 32:18Speaker 7: to be successful in these championship games at the end
- 32:21Speaker 7: of the season, the one thing you have to do
- 32:23Speaker 7: is protect the ball.
- 32:25Speaker 4: You have to protect the ball.
- 32:26Speaker 7: That is just historically, there's statistics out there. If you
- 32:30Speaker 7: don't do it, it's not going to be a good
- 32:32Speaker 7: day for you.
- 32:33Speaker 5: And obviously it wasn't a good day for the Commanders.
- 32:36Speaker 7: They just could not hold onto the ball and they
- 32:39Speaker 7: lost the three fumbles, and consequently the Eagles scored twenty
- 32:42Speaker 7: one points off those turnovers.
- 32:44Speaker 5: So right there was part of their demise.
- 32:46Speaker 7: The other part of their demise, of course, was Sequon Barkley,
- 32:49Speaker 7: but that was the biggest problem. They couldn't overcome their
- 32:52Speaker 7: own problem mistakes. What do you guys think, all.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Right, I'm going to first, I think that's absolutely actual.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Yes, And and when.
- 33:04Speaker 3: You start talking about turning over the ball, you just
- 33:07Speaker 3: can't do you can't do it, especially playoff time. You
- 33:11Speaker 3: shouldn't do it anytime, but playoff time. The teams are
- 33:14Speaker 3: too good. They're gonna take advantage of it. Now, when
- 33:18Speaker 3: you start talking about se Quon bark I contribute that
- 33:26Speaker 3: situation to years of throwing the ball, Like we went
- 33:31Speaker 3: through this era of everybody's throwing the ball and you
- 33:34Speaker 3: don't really run it very much, and all.
- 33:37Speaker 4: Of a sudden, you got it. You get a.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Pretty decent a pretty decent sized guy who loves to
- 33:43Speaker 3: run the ball and does not mind running.
- 33:45Speaker 5: Act as well and does well.
- 33:48Speaker 3: You're not used to that, just just as as let's
- 33:52Speaker 3: just take it as just as a defensive back. You're
- 33:54Speaker 3: so caught up in coverage, right, and nobody's running the
- 33:59Speaker 3: ball thirty times a game, sure, And all of a
- 34:02Speaker 3: sudden this team shows up and I keep seeing trying
- 34:07Speaker 3: to figure out why am I making tackles?
- 34:09Speaker 4: You know, now, I'm I'm I'm.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Mad because like, where's the linemen? Where are the buckers?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Hey man, y'all need to make those tackles. I don't
- 34:16Speaker 3: know that that shouldn't be getting to me when you
- 34:20Speaker 3: when you, it's gonna be hard for anybody.
- 34:24Speaker 7: Especially when Jalen Hurts has a good game as well. Yes,
- 34:26Speaker 7: and they both were on points. If both of them
- 34:29Speaker 7: are on point, it's gonna be hard to beat them.
- 34:31Speaker 3: You got a run game, that is is that we've
- 34:34Speaker 3: got to work on. That's new for us. We got
- 34:37Speaker 3: to focus on the run game, just just the sweet, the.
- 34:42Speaker 4: Dies, all of that.
- 34:43Speaker 3: And now every single time that they go to pass,
- 34:48Speaker 3: you got an issue with a quarterback that can run
- 34:51Speaker 3: just as well as passed. Yes, so now you you
- 34:55Speaker 3: you've got a double threat. Even if they don't throw
- 34:59Speaker 3: the ball, well, you know, you still got a double
- 35:02Speaker 3: threat that you have to stop.
- 35:04Speaker 4: How do you do that?
- 35:05Speaker 5: Yeah, Hollis, how do they do it?
- 35:07Speaker 6: And I was gonna say the exact same thing, because
- 35:11Speaker 6: what happens now is that defensively, not only do you
- 35:14Speaker 6: have to account for Jalen Hurts passing the ball, but
- 35:16Speaker 6: you have to he's a legitimate run threat. And then
- 35:18Speaker 6: when you have dynamic running backs like Seykon Barkley, it
- 35:22Speaker 6: just creates it puts your defense in peril because again
- 35:25Speaker 6: you can't go one one and again I want don't
- 35:27Speaker 6: lead the receivers out. You can't go one on one
- 35:29Speaker 6: with Brown, You can't go one on one with those
- 35:32Speaker 6: because they're gonna beat you every single time. So not
- 35:35Speaker 6: like you can man up and crowd the box and
- 35:37Speaker 6: then try to stop the run. So now you still
- 35:39Speaker 6: got to sort of spread yourself out defensively, you some
- 35:42Speaker 6: of those linebackers have got to account for Jalen Hursts.
- 35:44Speaker 6: And then again, Sekon Barkley can run through you, around you,
- 35:48Speaker 6: and over you. So that is just it creates a
- 35:51Speaker 6: difficult situation. And I'll say this, I don't know how
- 35:56Speaker 6: sa Kwon Barkley did not get consideration for the NFL MVP.
- 36:01Speaker 6: He is and I'm gonna say it right now, he
- 36:05Speaker 6: is the NFL MVP. I don't care what Lamar Jackson did.
- 36:10Speaker 6: I don't care what Josh Allen did. I don't care
- 36:12Speaker 6: about the stats. I don't care about this being a computer,
- 36:15Speaker 6: you know, a quarterback award, say Kwon Barkley. In my mind,
- 36:19Speaker 6: if I had a vote, he's the NFL MVP. He
- 36:22Speaker 6: took this team over the hump. I mean, most people
- 36:25Speaker 6: consider his career dead with the Giants last year, and
- 36:29Speaker 6: he come in almost a two thousand yard rusher and
- 36:31Speaker 6: he's been dominant now good in the playoffs. He's been
- 36:36Speaker 6: dominant in the playoffs.
- 36:39Speaker 3: And I agree with that with a button. And it's
- 36:45Speaker 3: not my butt, but the systematically, we as the league,
- 36:52Speaker 3: we see this.
- 36:54Speaker 4: But man, you know we're we're quarterback oriented.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Now we basically think that we are you know, it's quarterback,
- 37:03Speaker 3: it's the quarterback.
- 37:04Speaker 5: It's sexy.
- 37:07Speaker 3: Yes, the quarterback is the sexiest guy on the field.
- 37:11Speaker 3: And so until they can and and and again. You
- 37:15Speaker 3: got to realize this run game while it is beating
- 37:18Speaker 3: people down and he's he's getting his yards, he's running
- 37:23Speaker 3: over people, he's scoring touchdowns.
- 37:26Speaker 5: You hear more about Jalen Hurt.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Yes, why would we even be talking about her?
- 37:31Speaker 6: I did, like I said, I think we have to
- 37:34Speaker 6: again we have sports like I think we're sports media
- 37:38Speaker 6: to point right, but sports media reporters, writers like they
- 37:44Speaker 6: gotta start reporting on the game. But I under sand
- 37:46Speaker 6: it's sexy. But again, Skwon Barkley to me, was the
- 37:50Speaker 6: best story in the NFL this year. He was the
- 37:52Speaker 6: best story because I mean, we'll get to the teams.
- 37:54Speaker 6: Nobody likes them. We don't care about Patrick Mahomes all
- 37:57Speaker 6: he's great and all that, but we don't see that
- 38:00Speaker 6: A Jackson was great, been great every year. Josh Hallen
- 38:02Speaker 6: was great. He's been great every year. Say Kwan Blockley
- 38:05Speaker 6: was the story this.
- 38:06Speaker 5: Ship this year.
- 38:07Speaker 6: And what he's doing, I mean the moves that he's doing,
- 38:10Speaker 6: the one he's leaping over people backwards, and he's just
- 38:12Speaker 6: been so dominant. He definitely, in my mind, should have
- 38:15Speaker 6: got MVP. And again to my and I would say, man,
- 38:19Speaker 6: a running back position is been back. Absolutely but but
- 38:24Speaker 6: but with the caveat and I'll give you a props, coach,
- 38:27Speaker 6: and we'll talk about it when we get to the
- 38:29Speaker 6: other side of this. You got to have a running
- 38:31Speaker 6: quarterback now.
- 38:32Speaker 3: Absolutely, Yeah, choice, I've said that. I have said that
- 38:37Speaker 3: for a while. If you do not have a running quarterback,
- 38:40Speaker 3: you're you're you better have an awesome running back, man.
- 38:45Speaker 6: Yeah, like a quarterback.
- 38:48Speaker 7: Yes, And I'm gonna I'm gonna totally agree with you, Hollis.
- 38:51Speaker 7: I don't even understand how he could be overlooked because
- 38:54Speaker 7: let's just consider this, He's on the cusp of history.
- 38:57Speaker 7: If he if he gains just thirty yards in the
- 38:59Speaker 7: Super Bowl, he sets the all time record for the
- 39:01Speaker 7: most rushing yards in a season including playoffs.
- 39:06Speaker 3: That's special. Yes, that's special.
- 39:10Speaker 7: The record's currently held by Terrell Davis. But he could
- 39:13Speaker 7: beat that with just thirty yards. And let's face it,
- 39:15Speaker 7: he probably will get thirty yards.
- 39:17Speaker 4: He'll have that, He'll have that in the first goal.
- 39:19Speaker 7: And then some I would I would think, so, yeah,
- 39:22Speaker 7: I agree. I don't know what happened there. The only
- 39:24Speaker 7: thing I can think about is maybe, like I said,
- 39:27Speaker 7: fans want to see quarterbacks in that in.
- 39:29Speaker 3: That you come, you come to the games to see
- 39:34Speaker 3: quarterbacks throw the ball, complete the pass, scramble and run
- 39:39Speaker 3: a little bit. And and and if your team wins,
- 39:44Speaker 3: who do we say we go right to the quarterback,
- 39:47Speaker 3: We go right to the.
- 39:48Speaker 6: But I'm just I don't know. I agree, I meet.
- 39:51Speaker 4: It right, but but and I'm looking for me.
- 39:55Speaker 3: I think the reality of watching and and and let's
- 40:01Speaker 3: let's think about who's watching now we've watched it. When
- 40:06Speaker 3: we remember quarterbacks and running backs and you know, all
- 40:10Speaker 3: that anybody could have been the best player, the all
- 40:13Speaker 3: you know, the all time guy or whatever. We we
- 40:17Speaker 3: we remember when football was it was divers in who
- 40:21Speaker 3: could score, who could who could have the ball in
- 40:23Speaker 3: their hands at at a specific time. Now the fan
- 40:29Speaker 3: base is in love with quarterbacks, you know. And and
- 40:35Speaker 3: now you know, you you get Philly. Now they're they're
- 40:38Speaker 3: they're loving their running back.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Who else? Who else?
- 40:43Speaker 3: What other team in the playoffs? Can we say that
- 40:47Speaker 3: we should be talking about their running back.
- 40:50Speaker 5: No, no, none of them.
- 40:53Speaker 3: And I'm not saying they weren't good, and you know
- 40:55Speaker 3: I don't mean that literally.
- 40:56Speaker 5: You know what all the chatter was about the quarterbacks?
- 40:59Speaker 3: Yes, really, the the conversation was about the quarterbacks and
- 41:03Speaker 3: whether or not you know, Patrick Mahomes led that.
- 41:06Speaker 4: But there were so many.
- 41:07Speaker 3: Name quarterbacks that were that were out here that everybody
- 41:12Speaker 3: it was.
- 41:13Speaker 4: It was perfect in my mind for the NFL.
- 41:16Speaker 5: Perfect storm, Yes, perfect.
- 41:17Speaker 3: We got all these quarterbacks all in the playoffs, winning
- 41:21Speaker 3: and losing.
- 41:22Speaker 4: Oh gosh, this is gonna be so great.
- 41:24Speaker 3: And when you look at it, you got a running
- 41:27Speaker 3: back that has shown the whole entire playoffs to me,
- 41:32Speaker 3: has been the best player he is in the playoffs.
- 41:36Speaker 5: Hands down.
- 41:37Speaker 6: Yeah. All right, So now so we've got to go
- 41:40Speaker 6: to the other side. Let's go.
- 41:41Speaker 5: Let's go.
- 41:42Speaker 7: Okay, so we're going to the NFL, I'm sorry, the
- 41:44Speaker 7: AFC Championship.
- 41:45Speaker 5: We've got the Chiefs and the Bills.
- 41:47Speaker 7: That one was a little more competitive, a little closer,
- 41:49Speaker 7: and of course my Homes the magician, pulled it off again,
- 41:52Speaker 7: you know, throwing eighteen of twenty six for two hundred
- 41:55Speaker 7: and forty five yards and a touchdown and of course
- 41:58Speaker 7: the winning drive.
- 41:59Speaker 5: He was instrumental in the fourth quarter.
- 42:01Speaker 7: So the Bills they just they just they forgot their
- 42:04Speaker 7: rushing attack. They were stopped constantly in short yard situations.
- 42:08Speaker 7: You know, Josh Allen had I think in in five
- 42:12Speaker 7: different times they were in short yardage and he just
- 42:15Speaker 7: had to gain a couple of yards and he was
- 42:17Speaker 7: only two a five, And of course we had to
- 42:19Speaker 7: have a controversial call by the refs. So let's just
- 42:24Speaker 7: what do you, hollis you want to describe it or
- 42:26Speaker 7: do you want me to describe it?
- 42:27Speaker 5: And you guys comment, okay, okay, okay. So I'll just
- 42:31Speaker 5: give a quick overview of that.
- 42:32Speaker 7: So it was fourth quarter, fourth down, Josh Allen was
- 42:37Speaker 7: at the forty one yard line of Kansas City. Uh,
- 42:42Speaker 7: he only had to gain one yard fourth down, and
- 42:44Speaker 7: he appeared to make it. We had of course, that
- 42:48Speaker 7: was according to the commentators that were, you know, calling
- 42:51Speaker 7: the game. It was also according to the ref guy
- 42:53Speaker 7: that they call all the time.
- 42:54Speaker 5: His names escaped me. But anyway, so one ref.
- 42:57Speaker 7: Comes from the sideline signaling that it is the first down,
- 43:01Speaker 7: and then the other ugh comes over and marks some
- 43:03Speaker 7: short and the guy that marks him short.
- 43:06Speaker 3: That's the call, and here's here was the here was
- 43:09Speaker 3: the interesting thing to me on that And hollyso I'm
- 43:11Speaker 3: wondering what you what you think the reality of visibly
- 43:17Speaker 3: being able to see and I and I don't know
- 43:19Speaker 3: who was able to see.
- 43:21Speaker 5: There's so many angers.
- 43:24Speaker 4: We're sitting across the table from each other.
- 43:26Speaker 3: So you're coming in looking to see where the ball,
- 43:28Speaker 3: and all these bodies are laying down, so you're trying
- 43:32Speaker 3: to market, but you're coming off from the line of scrimmage. Basically,
- 43:36Speaker 3: really you're coming from the line of scrimmage. So maybe
- 43:38Speaker 3: you step over half an inch and and walk in.
- 43:42Speaker 3: And you're walking in and everybody's saying that he's spot
- 43:45Speaker 3: that that was the spot of the ball, right.
- 43:48Speaker 4: The other guy on the other official on the.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Other side, he's lean, he's he is stepped up, he's
- 43:56Speaker 3: moved over a step. So he's made that he's already
- 43:59Speaker 3: more darking the ball as it's a first down because
- 44:04Speaker 3: he's seeing the back of sure, he can see that,
- 44:07Speaker 3: he can see the shoulder paths, he's seeing it on
- 44:09Speaker 3: that lead.
- 44:09Speaker 4: He's got the better view, you know.
- 44:14Speaker 3: And and so my thing is in that situation I
- 44:18Speaker 3: think there has to be some.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Form of review.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 44:24Speaker 3: That's that's because I don't even know if you can
- 44:26Speaker 3: really see film wise, like I don't know if they
- 44:30Speaker 3: if the if the cameras, I don't know if there's
- 44:32Speaker 3: a camera angle that would even fit that.
- 44:36Speaker 7: But I'm going to see the videos that people well,
- 44:38Speaker 7: that are out there on social media that it definitely
- 44:40Speaker 7: looks like he had a first down.
- 44:42Speaker 6: I thought he had. My My thing is this, like
- 44:46Speaker 6: it's okay for those referees to take a minute just
- 44:50Speaker 6: to confer with one another to figure it out. I
- 44:53Speaker 6: don't know why we just have to rush that to
- 44:56Speaker 6: like we just have to rush the spot the ball
- 44:58Speaker 6: because it's clearly you look on the video one guy
- 45:01Speaker 6: from one guy had the better view than the other guy,
- 45:03Speaker 6: and the other guy who didn't have the best you
- 45:05Speaker 6: seem to make the calling. That doesn't make sense that yeah,
- 45:09Speaker 6: had a back judge, you had the two sideline judges.
- 45:12Speaker 6: Why not you come together, huddle up for a couple
- 45:14Speaker 6: of seconds and figure it out and make it right.
- 45:16Speaker 5: Why why don't they do that?
- 45:20Speaker 4: They talked? I did think that they talked, but again
- 45:25Speaker 4: it wasn't long. But but you know.
- 45:26Speaker 3: What I'm saying, it's like if me and Hollis is
- 45:28Speaker 3: having this conversation, if we're we're talking, if if if
- 45:31Speaker 3: I'm like more likely maybe I have less years than Hollis.
- 45:36Speaker 4: And he's saying, hey, I really think that you know
- 45:39Speaker 4: they didn't make it.
- 45:40Speaker 3: You just kind of you know, I'm you know, I'm
- 45:43Speaker 3: this is a huge call. I realized the moment and
- 45:46Speaker 3: how big a call this is. I'm gonna I think
- 45:50Speaker 3: you somebody concedes to.
- 45:55Speaker 4: To the choice always the Chiefs see even.
- 46:00Speaker 6: But but even with that being said, it's one of
- 46:03Speaker 6: those situations where you just can't make mistakes with this.
- 46:06Speaker 6: If you're playing the chief now this is moving forward,
- 46:09Speaker 6: you can't make mistakes. You have to take advantage of
- 46:12Speaker 6: every single thing. You can't throw picks, you you can't
- 46:15Speaker 6: have turnovers and down. You have to almost score on
- 46:18Speaker 6: every drive, and you have to figure out the way
- 46:21Speaker 6: to at least stop them a few times. You know,
- 46:23Speaker 6: they started out the game pretty strong, but after that
- 46:26Speaker 6: they couldn't really keep up, right. It's just you. You
- 46:30Speaker 6: when you're playing Chiefs, you can't make mistakes. Unfortunately, and
- 46:34Speaker 6: either mcomeboy gonna get you or the rest gonna get.
- 46:36Speaker 3: You exactly, Collins, And here's here, here's here's that is
- 46:41Speaker 3: the actual reality. And how many times in your football career,
- 46:46Speaker 3: maybe even playing basketball, baseball, whatever you played like they
- 46:52Speaker 3: they'll say, you can't give them any opportunities.
- 46:55Speaker 4: You can't you can't leave it in the hands of
- 46:57Speaker 4: the officials.
- 46:59Speaker 3: Because they they're making the best call that they can.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I don't think any one of those officials were for anybody.
- 47:07Speaker 4: Now, the call that they made is going to go
- 47:11Speaker 4: to somebody.
- 47:12Speaker 3: It's going to go one side, So I'm gonna automatically
- 47:15Speaker 3: or at least it made the call that way. She's
- 47:17Speaker 3: got to be that, she's got to be for that team.
- 47:19Speaker 3: You know, she's probably got to She's probably got a
- 47:22Speaker 3: whole bunch of package stuff at home.
- 47:23Speaker 7: Oh but it's not the first time that this has
- 47:27Speaker 7: happened with the Chiefs. Its just continuously continually happens throughout
- 47:31Speaker 7: the season, and people start to notice because of that pattern,
- 47:35Speaker 7: and that's why people are pretty upset about it. And
- 47:40Speaker 7: a lot of people are just upset about the Super
- 47:41Speaker 7: Bowl matchup in general. I mean, I'm hearing people say
- 47:45Speaker 7: boycott it, don't watch it. NFL's rigged, which we hear
- 47:48Speaker 7: that anyway, we hear that, Oh yeah, it's out there.
- 47:51Speaker 5: They're out there. The conspiracy theorists are out there.
- 47:54Speaker 4: I can tell you this.
- 47:56Speaker 5: A lot of it's just bitter fans, you know, but
- 47:58Speaker 5: still there.
- 47:59Speaker 4: If there was a way to to.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Rig a football game, do you understand the number of
- 48:08Speaker 3: people that you would have to include into that.
- 48:12Speaker 5: I totally agree with you.
- 48:13Speaker 7: I'm just I'm just I'm just repeating red, which is unfortunate.
- 48:18Speaker 7: But I think I think the whole scenario when you
- 48:21Speaker 7: when you get these these types of fans on the
- 48:23Speaker 7: on you know, social media or the Internet saying you know,
- 48:26Speaker 7: it's rigged whatever, they're just kind of they're just kind
- 48:29Speaker 7: of tired.
- 48:29Speaker 5: Of seeing the Chiefs in the Super Bowl.
- 48:32Speaker 4: That's what it is.
- 48:33Speaker 5: And the you.
- 48:34Speaker 7: Know, of course they've got Taylor Swift and all the
- 48:37Speaker 7: celebrities that come along with a with a good team.
- 48:41Speaker 5: I think it's just they're just fatigued. It's it's Chiefs fatigue.
- 48:46Speaker 6: And I think, you know what, in addition to the Chiefs,
- 48:50Speaker 6: I think we've seen this where you have, like you know,
- 48:54Speaker 6: you have the Patriots who were dominated in the same
- 48:59Speaker 6: then you have now it's the Chiefs who are in
- 49:01Speaker 6: the champion So it seems like we always have that
- 49:03Speaker 6: one team who's just either they're winning or they're there.
- 49:08Speaker 6: And I think, you know, some NFL fans want to
- 49:11Speaker 6: see parody. I mean even the Eagles. I mean within
- 49:13Speaker 6: the last you know, ten years or five ten years,
- 49:16Speaker 6: they've been three times, so you know we're seeing the
- 49:19Speaker 6: same teams over and over. But I will say, I like,
- 49:24Speaker 6: I really like this matchup. I want to see, you know,
- 49:28Speaker 6: particularly how the Chiefs defense is going to, you know,
- 49:32Speaker 6: try to stop Jalen Hurts and then say Kwon Barkley
- 49:35Speaker 6: and kind of what they're gonna put together and then
- 49:38Speaker 6: you know what you know, being a quarterback, being an
- 49:40Speaker 6: offensive guy, I always love to watch Andy Reid's offense.
- 49:44Speaker 6: So I'm interested to see how they're gonna up against
- 49:47Speaker 6: Phillies' defense, which is fast and strong. Like I said,
- 49:50Speaker 6: they have a gritty, just rugged team against more of
- 49:52Speaker 6: a I wouldn't say flamboyant, but they're more like the
- 49:55Speaker 6: you know, the cool kids right now. So it's gonna
- 49:58Speaker 6: be a fun matchup.
- 50:00Speaker 3: I think I think the way Philly addresses this is
- 50:03Speaker 3: I think it's super aggressive because I would just as
- 50:08Speaker 3: soon have Mahomes running and then let him make the
- 50:12Speaker 3: trick passes and all that kind of stuff.
- 50:15Speaker 4: I'm coming at him. I don't want him comfortable. I
- 50:18Speaker 4: don't know, I don't I don't know I'm comfortable. I
- 50:21Speaker 4: don't want him comfort because you don't know.
- 50:24Speaker 5: I think he plays better under pressure.
- 50:28Speaker 4: He might, he might, But am I gonna let him?
- 50:31Speaker 4: Am I gonna let him sit back there and be comfortable.
- 50:34Speaker 6: I'm gonna what I'm saying, I'm gonna sign and I'm
- 50:37Speaker 6: gonna try to.
- 50:38Speaker 4: I mean, who are you gonna spy him with?
- 50:40Speaker 3: Here's here's the catch with the spy, because usually you're spying,
- 50:44Speaker 3: that's usually somebody who is not gonna make the tackle
- 50:48Speaker 3: with him one on one.
- 50:50Speaker 6: You don't have no Mahomes. Ain't that guy. Mahomes is
- 50:53Speaker 6: not Lamar Jackson. A good linebacker is gonna be able
- 50:56Speaker 6: to tackle him one on one. And I'm saying I'm
- 50:58Speaker 6: signing with a linebacker. Sure, I'm telling my defensive line
- 51:01Speaker 6: to be aggressive. That's who I'm rotate in and out
- 51:04Speaker 6: and I'm playing and I'm playing coverage and I'm gonna
- 51:07Speaker 6: make you, like, make you take a chance on the
- 51:10Speaker 6: throw and hopefully I can get a pick, hope that
- 51:12Speaker 6: can bait you into some picks, because if I rush
- 51:15Speaker 6: you and I can't leave you, I can't leave any
- 51:18Speaker 6: receiver they got one on one because he'll make the
- 51:19Speaker 6: throw and then if I let you run around too
- 51:22Speaker 6: much without any direct pressure.
- 51:26Speaker 3: So so here, okay, so here, This is a football
- 51:30Speaker 3: This is a football conversation. Now, when you've got conversation, okay,
- 51:35Speaker 3: So so what you're what you're telling me then is
- 51:40Speaker 3: you're gonna you're gonna zone them.
- 51:42Speaker 4: You're gonna play zone on.
- 51:43Speaker 6: I'm gonna mix it. I'm gonna mix it, but it's
- 51:45Speaker 6: gonna be a lot of zone, and I'm gonna mix
- 51:46Speaker 6: the zone.
- 51:47Speaker 4: Yes, Now, to me, that's a problem. That's a problem
- 51:54Speaker 4: because you're gonna have areas.
- 51:56Speaker 3: There's gonna be there's gonna be every zone as an
- 52:00Speaker 3: area that you can throw into.
- 52:03Speaker 4: And you can't. Yes, I mean you might be in Prevantea.
- 52:09Speaker 6: But the thing is you can't. But if i've man you,
- 52:12Speaker 6: then I got to count for Travis Kelsey and I
- 52:14Speaker 6: got to count for those other tight ends. Those are
- 52:18Speaker 6: man beaters right there, and those receivers and the receivers
- 52:20Speaker 6: that he has. They're not they're not the best receivers,
- 52:23Speaker 6: but they're really fast and they're aggressive. So I'm saying,
- 52:27Speaker 6: I'm gonna tell my defense in the back and I'm gonna
- 52:28Speaker 6: keep everything in front of me. My defensive line, you
- 52:31Speaker 6: got to play your butt off now. And I got
- 52:33Speaker 6: a linebacker and I gotta spy you. That's who you
- 52:35Speaker 6: gotta play.
- 52:36Speaker 4: The line has to play. The line is.
- 52:38Speaker 3: The line is where this game is going to be won,
- 52:42Speaker 3: and it's gonna dictate what we can do in the secondary.
- 52:46Speaker 6: Yeah, because the thing is, if I can keep him
- 52:48Speaker 6: in the pocket where you're not escaping, where you're not
- 52:51Speaker 6: going laterally, if I'm saying my defense line, I want
- 52:53Speaker 6: to keep him so I want to make him step up.
- 52:56Speaker 6: And I got a linebacker in the face, and I
- 52:58Speaker 6: want to bait him in and running a couple times
- 53:01Speaker 6: and I could get some hits on him. I want
- 53:03Speaker 6: to touch my home. I want to touch him as
- 53:04Speaker 6: much as I can this game. It's gonna be hard,
- 53:07Speaker 6: but I gotta get some hits on him out.
- 53:10Speaker 3: Okay, this is what this This is gonna sound terrible,
- 53:13Speaker 3: but I say it all the time. That's a situation
- 53:17Speaker 3: where that's a fifteen that I'm giving up. Mean, you know,
- 53:22Speaker 3: you know, if he's running, that's a fifteen I'm giving up.
- 53:25Speaker 3: I'm gonna take that shot, you know, not a super
- 53:28Speaker 3: dirty shot, but he better get down really quick because
- 53:31Speaker 3: I'm gonna try to I'm gonna try to make that
- 53:33Speaker 3: contact just so that he knows. Now, will that intimidate him?
- 53:39Speaker 3: Maybe not, but still I want at least take that
- 53:44Speaker 3: chance to get something on him, so at least he's thinking.
- 53:48Speaker 6: One hundred percent. And the thing is, that's what I'm saying.
- 53:50Speaker 6: I want to force him up the middle. Now again,
- 53:53Speaker 6: you're gonna give up some stuff. You're not gonna totally
- 53:55Speaker 6: stop Patrick Mahomes. He's he's to me, he's one of
- 53:59Speaker 6: the greatest quarter back to all times quarterback and currently,
- 54:02Speaker 6: so you're not gonna start him stop him mentality. But
- 54:05Speaker 6: what I gotta try to do is bake you into
- 54:07Speaker 6: a few mistakes, and I gotta try to get some
- 54:10Speaker 6: pressure on you, and I gotta try to get my
- 54:12Speaker 6: hands on my shoulder pads on you. And I think
- 54:14Speaker 6: that's the only way you stop me.
- 54:17Speaker 5: And I think on the other side of the ball,
- 54:18Speaker 5: they just have to they have to shut down Barkley.
- 54:22Speaker 7: I mean, if they don't shut him down, it's don't
- 54:25Speaker 7: just eat the clock up.
- 54:27Speaker 6: I mean, I think on the other side of the
- 54:33Speaker 6: same thing, I think you gotta stop Jalen Hurts. Don't
- 54:37Speaker 6: stop Jay Hurts. It's gonna be proa. See. I think
- 54:40Speaker 6: I would give I would give up Barkley because if
- 54:44Speaker 6: I can stop Jalen Hurst, then I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 54:47Speaker 6: close some lanes for you know what I'm saying. And
- 54:51Speaker 6: if I can shake his confidence where I can make
- 54:54Speaker 6: him timid to throw the ball down the field, then
- 54:56Speaker 6: that office is gonna slow down.
- 54:59Speaker 3: So I'll say this, And I don't know if this
- 55:01Speaker 3: can happen, if they can, If they can, if you
- 55:04Speaker 3: take away the pass or you take away the run
- 55:07Speaker 3: and you force them into one or the other, I
- 55:10Speaker 3: think now you at least got a chance. But if
- 55:13Speaker 3: you give them, if you give them an opportunity to
- 55:16Speaker 3: do both, you got no shot.
- 55:19Speaker 4: See.
- 55:19Speaker 6: But I disagree. I think you gotta shut down the run.
- 55:23Speaker 6: And I think you got to shut down the run
- 55:24Speaker 6: from Sa Kwan Barkley, and you gotta particularly shut the
- 55:27Speaker 6: run down from Jalen Hurst. You cannot give Jaalen Hurst
- 55:30Speaker 6: no lane, and you have to force him to like
- 55:33Speaker 6: he has to know that he got to stand in
- 55:34Speaker 6: the pocket and he got to deliver the ball.
- 55:37Speaker 4: He's not gonna stay in the pocket. That's see. That's
- 55:39Speaker 4: the thing that see.
- 55:40Speaker 3: And I don't think that if if if, if they
- 55:42Speaker 3: stop the run, I think if they stop Barkley right
- 55:49Speaker 3: to me, I'm thinking the only way that they're going
- 55:53Speaker 3: to stop Hurts is like you go like, I just don't.
- 55:59Speaker 3: I don't know if you can do both. You're gonna
- 56:01Speaker 3: have to. I mean, you're gonna you're gonna have to
- 56:02Speaker 3: succumb to one of them. But the one that you
- 56:05Speaker 3: go to can't beat you. You can't let that beat you.
- 56:09Speaker 3: And I'm saying the quarterback is the least likely to
- 56:11Speaker 3: beat me.
- 56:12Speaker 4: I'm thinking, no, he's not.
- 56:14Speaker 6: And that's to say. I think what happens is if
- 56:16Speaker 6: you let say Kwon bark excuse me, if you let
- 56:18Speaker 6: Jalen hurt get those ten fifteen, those long runs like
- 56:22Speaker 6: he's been getting every playoff game. I think what it
- 56:24Speaker 6: does it creates. It creates lanes where now on them
- 56:28Speaker 6: read options or even like the ISOs or the done
- 56:32Speaker 6: reeds now the defense has to account for sake, excuse me,
- 56:35Speaker 6: I keep saying that they have to look out for
- 56:37Speaker 6: Jalen Hurt fakes. So once he's doing that and he's
- 56:40Speaker 6: giving you he's uh, he's handing the ball off to
- 56:44Speaker 6: Saint Kawan Barkley and he's carrying out of space, the
- 56:46Speaker 6: defense you cannot dismiss that. You have to account for that.
- 56:50Speaker 6: So it's gonna take a linebacker out the lane and
- 56:53Speaker 6: it gets say, Kawan Barkley better lanes to run in.
- 56:55Speaker 6: But now if you don't, but if you totally shut
- 56:58Speaker 6: down their own and runs and you're not worried about
- 57:00Speaker 6: Jalen Hurts running the ball, those linebackers can say in
- 57:03Speaker 6: and commit to Sat Kwon BARKI. So I think you
- 57:05Speaker 6: gotta stop the run of Jalen Hurts.
- 57:08Speaker 4: All right, Well we'll we'll see, Lisa, you got one.
- 57:11Speaker 7: More thing before I was just gonna say, I mean,
- 57:13Speaker 7: we really didn't make picks. And we can do that
- 57:15Speaker 7: later on because we still have some time. But I
- 57:17Speaker 7: really feel like that the team that that wins the
- 57:19Speaker 7: Super Bowl is gonna be the one that doesn't turn
- 57:21Speaker 7: the ball over that's obvious, yeah, and plays the best
- 57:25Speaker 7: defense because these are offensive powerhouses both teams.
- 57:28Speaker 3: That's a valid point there. You're gonna have you're you're
- 57:31Speaker 3: you're definitely gonna have to play good defense.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Yep.
- 57:34Speaker 3: And whoever, and I agree with you, whoever plays the
- 57:37Speaker 3: best defense is probably gonna win the game because both
- 57:40Speaker 3: of these offenses can do any and everything.
- 57:43Speaker 6: It's gonna be hard, it's gonna be it's gonna be
- 57:45Speaker 6: a good it's gonna be a really good. I'm excited
- 57:48Speaker 6: about you, but I'll.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Say this, and we we're gonna close it up. There's
- 57:53Speaker 4: been so many.
- 57:53Speaker 3: Super Bowls that you you can look at and it
- 57:56Speaker 3: just looks like it can be just a great game,
- 57:59Speaker 3: and you just wait, you get everything lined out, you're
- 58:02Speaker 3: sitting on the couch, all your foods around you, and
- 58:06Speaker 3: next thing you know, you're fifteen to twenty minutes into
- 58:09Speaker 3: the game.
- 58:09Speaker 4: And you're like, oh my gosh, this thing is already over.
- 58:13Speaker 2: You know.
- 58:14Speaker 3: That's my theory is is that you know, just it
- 58:17Speaker 3: just doesn't turn out to be as great a game
- 58:19Speaker 3: as it looks like it should be.
- 58:22Speaker 4: I'm afraid of that.
- 58:23Speaker 3: But ladies and gentlemen, we will be back next week
- 58:27Speaker 3: and hope you have a blessed week In and Hollas
