- 0:00Speaker 1: This is seven to ten o R Boy, The Mark
- 0:03Speaker 1: Simoon Show starring.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Wow.
- 0:09Speaker 3: Lots to get you today. We'll get to Minnesota. We'll
- 0:12Speaker 3: get to all those crazy, spoiled, looney protesters out there.
- 0:16Speaker 3: We'll get to Jerome Powell, We'll get to Venezuela. We'll
- 0:19Speaker 3: get to Iran, the Golden Globes. Nobody, nobody too thrilled
- 0:23Speaker 3: with that show last night, and a lot more to
- 0:26Speaker 3: talk about today. Now, Minnesota, you got all these crazy
- 0:32Speaker 3: screaming protesters. You've seen video all over Twitter all weekend
- 0:37Speaker 3: of them jumping in front of cars, lying down in
- 0:39Speaker 3: front of cars, taunting ICE agents, just yelling and screaming
- 0:45Speaker 3: out walking up.
- 0:54Speaker 4: He looks like.
- 0:57Speaker 2: This is walking looks now.
- 1:02Speaker 3: These of course, these white liberals that went to all
- 1:05Speaker 3: these colleges that indoctrinated them into the far left cook world.
- 1:09Speaker 3: But also I think they came out pretty spoiled. You know,
- 1:12Speaker 3: you're gonna have a lot of nerve to do all
- 1:16Speaker 3: this stuff. I mean, what do you do when you
- 1:18Speaker 3: see a police car when you're driving and you see, oh,
- 1:22Speaker 3: there's a police car behind me. What do you do?
- 1:24Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:24Speaker 3: You slow down and you start going the speed limit.
- 1:26Speaker 3: You try to drive perfectly. You know, you try to
- 1:29Speaker 3: keep your eyes on the road. There's a police car
- 1:30Speaker 3: right behind you. Would you ever have the nerve to
- 1:33Speaker 3: like this woman did, this poor woman that was killed.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Would you have the nerve to pull up in front
- 1:38Speaker 3: of them, turn your vehicle sideways, block the road, block
- 1:42Speaker 3: them in. Would you have the nerve to do that? Well?
- 1:47Speaker 3: She did. It's insane. She spends the whole day yelling
- 1:50Speaker 3: and screaming and taunting them and calling them names, and
- 1:54Speaker 3: then drives the car into the operation. Pulls up ahead
- 1:59Speaker 3: of this caravan turned sideways to block the road. That
- 2:03Speaker 3: usually to cops, when somebody pulls up in front and
- 2:06Speaker 3: blocks the road, usually means you're about to get ambushed.
- 2:09Speaker 3: So you could see alarm bells going off in their head.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Who would have the nerve to do that? What kind
- 2:15Speaker 3: of lunatic? But these protests just out of control, just nuts.
- 2:20Speaker 3: And then you got this mayor of Minneapolis firing up.
- 2:24Speaker 3: This Mayor Frey, who is a far left kook. This
- 2:29Speaker 3: guy plays up everything. You remember the terrible George Floyd killing.
- 2:33Speaker 3: This was the same mayor that got down by the
- 2:35Speaker 3: casket at the funeral. He kneeled down in front of
- 2:38Speaker 3: it and started to cry and sob. Everybody believed it
- 2:41Speaker 3: was just theatrical for the cameras, But this guy just horrible.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I did not say that ice enforcement was unconstitutional. What
- 2:50Speaker 5: I said is the way that they are doing it
- 2:52Speaker 5: is unconstitutional. You can't come into a city and discriminate
- 2:59Speaker 5: solely on the bay of are you Latino or are
- 3:02Speaker 5: you Somali and then randomly pick people up off the
- 3:06Speaker 5: street after that.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Well, you see, that's the problem. He's just making up
- 3:10Speaker 3: this nonsense. They've never gone after people just for being Latino.
- 3:13Speaker 3: They've never randomly picked people up off the street. In
- 3:16Speaker 3: every case, they got a name, a license plate number,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and address something. They're going after people with criminal records.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That's how they know who to go after. But this
- 3:24Speaker 3: guy's job with the Democrats is to rile people up,
- 3:27Speaker 3: to get them crazy. And if anybody's responsible for that
- 3:31Speaker 3: poor woman getting killed, it's people like this who got
- 3:34Speaker 3: her so crazy. I mean, again, how much nerve would
- 3:38Speaker 3: you have to have to just drive your car into
- 3:40Speaker 3: a big police caravan, get up in front of them,
- 3:43Speaker 3: turn sideways, block them in. That takes a lot of nerve.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Or if they told you to get out of the
- 3:48Speaker 3: car to speed away. I mean, she is a criminal.
- 3:51Speaker 3: If he had not been shot, she would be in
- 3:53Speaker 3: jail now. She'd be on trial for the next few
- 3:56Speaker 3: years of her life for a number of crimes she committed,
- 3:59Speaker 3: like seven crimes there. But it's just a ridiculous situation
- 4:03Speaker 3: being fueled by Now. Yeah, I know you're saying this
- 4:06Speaker 3: is getting bad, it's hurting Trumpet. Just remember this is
- 4:10Speaker 3: always the case. Democrats always overplay their hand, and they'll
- 4:16Speaker 3: do it this time. It looks good for it looks
- 4:18Speaker 3: good to them, looks like it's working. Then they'll always
- 4:21Speaker 3: overplay their hand and completely destroy their side and the process.
- 4:26Speaker 3: This is a call to defund ice. You're going to
- 4:29Speaker 3: hear this a lot in the coming week or two.
- 4:31Speaker 3: Defund ice. But again, they'll overplay their hand. From what
- 4:34Speaker 3: I hear, they don't actually want to defund ice. They
- 4:37Speaker 3: just want to act like they're trying to defund ice. Now, Friday,
- 4:41Speaker 3: they had the big meeting with all the top oil
- 4:43Speaker 3: companies at the White House. We got rid of Maduro
- 4:47Speaker 3: in Venezuela. There's seventeen trillion dollars in oil sitting under
- 4:53Speaker 3: the ground there three hundred billion gallons of oil sitting there.
- 4:59Speaker 3: This would be great for the Venezuelan economy, our economy, everybody.
- 5:04Speaker 3: But the problem is getting it out of the ground.
- 5:06Speaker 3: The oil infrastructure is completely decayed and decrepit, and somebody
- 5:10Speaker 3: has to go in there and rebuild the oil infrastructure.
- 5:13Speaker 3: That would be the big oil companies. It would cost
- 5:15Speaker 3: them probably one hundred billion dollars. It would probably really
- 5:19Speaker 3: take fifteen years. So there was a meeting on Friday
- 5:22Speaker 3: at the White House where the President had all the
- 5:26Speaker 3: top oil company executives there, and this was to get
- 5:30Speaker 3: the thing going. But but they kind of said, well
- 5:34Speaker 3: not kind of. They came right out and said we're
- 5:36Speaker 3: not interested. We can't do it. We're not going in there.
- 5:39Speaker 3: The situation is too crazy.
- 5:42Speaker 6: Now.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Remember it may be under control right now with Donald Trump,
- 5:45Speaker 3: but start building these oil infrastructure. Things could take many years,
- 5:50Speaker 3: and who knows, in three years Trump has gone and
- 5:53Speaker 3: Venezuela's taken over by socialists again and they seize everything.
- 5:57Speaker 3: It happened before. To the oil companies pointed out last time,
- 6:01Speaker 3: around fifteen billion worth of their infrastructure was seized by
- 6:06Speaker 3: the Venezuelan government. So they don't want to go in there,
- 6:08Speaker 3: they told the president, so he wasn't happy. We're dealing
- 6:12Speaker 3: with him very well.
- 6:12Speaker 7: I think they've been very smart in the way they've
- 6:14Speaker 7: dealt with us, frankly, because that could have been obliterated
- 6:18Speaker 7: with one more strike, and we didn't want to do that.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Yeah, Venezuela is cooperating. They're giving us whatever oil they can,
- 6:23Speaker 3: but but there's not a lot of oil in there
- 6:27Speaker 3: right now. They're lucky if they get three hundred thousand
- 6:29Speaker 3: barrels out of there instead of of millions and millions
- 6:33Speaker 3: a day. But these oil companies don't want no part
- 6:36Speaker 3: of this. The last thing we want to do is
- 6:38Speaker 3: go in there and spend a fortune, not to mention,
- 6:41Speaker 3: you know, not just having all their assets seized, but
- 6:43Speaker 3: having their people seized. It's too dangerous the situation. No
- 6:47Speaker 3: matter what Trump can promise them again, he might not
- 6:50Speaker 3: be there in three years. You don't know what's going
- 6:51Speaker 3: to happen now in Iran, the rebels of the rebellion
- 6:56Speaker 3: is growing and growing. A lot of people think the Aatola,
- 6:59Speaker 3: the leader, the evil dictator, will be They think he'll
- 7:02Speaker 3: be gone maybe the next week or two, that it'll
- 7:05Speaker 3: get out of hand. He won't be able to control it,
- 7:07Speaker 3: and he'll decide to flee. Russia's offered to take him in.
- 7:11Speaker 3: He would bring with him his family and inner circle.
- 7:14Speaker 3: They think it's about twenty people. If they leave, well
- 7:17Speaker 3: then Iran actually could become a democracy, a free country.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You know, Iran used to be a beautiful, prosperous country
- 7:24Speaker 3: before it went crazy when they threw out the shaw.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Before that, it was just booming. It looked like Las
- 7:29Speaker 3: Vegas and Tehran. But it's an interesting situation. The president
- 7:33Speaker 3: ready to respond.
- 7:34Speaker 7: We'll watching the situation very carefully. I've made the statement
- 7:38Speaker 7: very strongly that if they start killing people like they
- 7:40Speaker 7: have in the past, we will get involved. We'll be
- 7:43Speaker 7: hitting them very hard where it hurts.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Now there's a lot they can do. They can
- 7:47Speaker 3: quickly take out certain government assets, weapons, all that sort
- 7:51Speaker 3: of stuff. If they try to go after the protesters. Now,
- 7:55Speaker 3: if you get rid of the Iola who runs the country,
- 7:57Speaker 3: well you could leave it up to the rebels the protest.
- 8:00Speaker 3: But there are people here, you know. The Chavran has
- 8:03Speaker 3: a son who's been here in the United States for decades.
- 8:07Speaker 3: There's a huge Iranian diaspora, a lot of it here
- 8:12Speaker 3: in this country, a lot of it all over the place.
- 8:14Speaker 3: You know, in New Jersey. Long Island got a lot
- 8:17Speaker 3: of Persians there, very very very smart business people. I mean,
- 8:22Speaker 3: they could take this country and just turn it around
- 8:24Speaker 3: in weeks. So Pelavi, Reza Pallavi is the son of
- 8:30Speaker 3: the shah Ran. He wants to go back and be
- 8:32Speaker 3: the leader. He's sixty five now, lives in Maryland, lived
- 8:35Speaker 3: in New York for a while. But I don't know.
- 8:40Speaker 3: The whole community would have to back him. I don't
- 8:42Speaker 3: know that they do. He's been campaigning for this for many,
- 8:46Speaker 3: many years, cultivating relations with DC officials, and he would
- 8:51Speaker 3: like to be Maybe they'll let him go in first,
- 8:54Speaker 3: be like the Jay Garner of this whole thing, because
- 8:56Speaker 3: the first guy in is going to have a problem,
- 8:58Speaker 3: so it's going to be a mess. It's the you
- 9:00Speaker 3: want to be the second guy in this situation. Greenland, Well,
- 9:04Speaker 3: we're getting closer and closer to's something. Now, we're not
- 9:07Speaker 3: going to invade. We're not gonna be First of all,
- 9:10Speaker 3: there's only fifty three thousand people in Greenland. The entire
- 9:15Speaker 3: population of Greenland could not fill Yankee Stadium. So in invasion,
- 9:20Speaker 3: it would take about forty minutes. But we're not going
- 9:23Speaker 3: to do it's just negotiating. But at some point they'll
- 9:25Speaker 3: make a deal, will acquire Greenland. The president is It's
- 9:29Speaker 3: not just President Trump. Every president's wanted to do this.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Harry Truman made a really, really serious effort for a
- 9:35Speaker 3: long time, but all the way back to Abraham Lincoln,
- 9:38Speaker 3: we've tried to do this. Greenland is very important to
- 9:40Speaker 3: US militarily, strategically, mineral wise, all that stuff.
- 9:44Speaker 7: I'm not talking about money for Greenland yet. I might
- 9:47Speaker 7: talk about that, but right now we are going to
- 9:50Speaker 7: do something on Greenland.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Whether they like it or not, well, that's just you know,
- 9:55Speaker 3: it sounds threatening, menacing. He's negotiating now. A lot of
- 9:59Speaker 3: time when the US does a military excursion, you know,
- 10:04Speaker 3: capture Maduro, take out some foreign leader, you know, like
- 10:08Speaker 3: Bill Clinton, Barack Obama did with the air raids and
- 10:13Speaker 3: the strikes. Whenever you do that sort of stuff, sometimes
- 10:17Speaker 3: it's to let the world know and get a look
- 10:20Speaker 3: at some of your new weapons. That's how we introduced
- 10:22Speaker 3: the stealth bomber to the world. One of those attacks
- 10:25Speaker 3: on Iran, Iraq, it was actually Iraq back then. The
- 10:28Speaker 3: stealth bombers can be totally undetected by radar. Frightened a
- 10:33Speaker 3: lot of our enemies, even the Russia, China was frightening
- 10:36Speaker 3: to them. They didn't have that kind of technology. They
- 10:39Speaker 3: could see that we were way ahead of that. So
- 10:42Speaker 3: we did that. In Venezuela a week ago, we showed
- 10:45Speaker 3: off some new weapons that nobody knew about. It's some
- 10:48Speaker 3: sort of sonic weapon. When US troops came in there,
- 10:53Speaker 3: there were hundreds and hundreds of Venezuelan troops and Cuban
- 10:56Speaker 3: troops there defending the palace. They took out this sonic
- 11:01Speaker 3: weapon and pointed it at all of those hundreds of troops,
- 11:05Speaker 3: and people there say they don't know what the hell
- 11:07Speaker 3: it was or what hit them. Some sort of sonic
- 11:09Speaker 3: weapon that just brought all those soldiers right to their knees.
- 11:14Speaker 3: They started bleeding like crazy through their nose, they started
- 11:17Speaker 3: vomiting blood all over the place. Whatever this weapon is,
- 11:20Speaker 3: you just pointed at everybody and they're totally incapacitated. So
- 11:26Speaker 3: it was the first time this was seen again. Some
- 11:28Speaker 3: sort of sonic weapon. Nobody knows exactly what it was.
- 11:31Speaker 3: That's how twenty US troops were able to go in
- 11:33Speaker 3: there and do whatever they want with hundreds of troops guarding.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Just this unbelievable sonic weapon shooting took place, and they
- 11:43Speaker 3: say the American weapons were so precise and had such speed.
- 11:48Speaker 3: They were talking about like three hundred rounds per minute
- 11:50Speaker 3: were being fired, so there were no match for these weapons. Russia, China,
- 11:54Speaker 3: everybody else got a look at this stuff for the
- 11:56Speaker 3: first time, and it scares people, the people a lot.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Every time you do something like this, it makes other
- 12:04Speaker 3: countries not want to ever mess with the US military.
- 12:07Speaker 3: So that's a good help. What else, the Golden Globes,
- 12:13Speaker 3: everybody was kind of not kind of everybody was very disappointed.
- 12:17Speaker 3: What's her name, Nikki Glazer monologue was good, it was okay.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Everybody looked bored out of their mind. It's not like
- 12:24Speaker 3: the oscars where you sit in theater seats. This is
- 12:27Speaker 3: where you sit at tables with food and drinks. It
- 12:29Speaker 3: looks like a party. But if you watched all the shots,
- 12:32Speaker 3: all the celebrities, they look like they were in a
- 12:35Speaker 3: coma ward. They looked so bored with this whole thing.
- 12:38Speaker 3: It was a very boring show. Now, remember the Golden Globes.
- 12:41Speaker 3: It's not like the Oscars and the Oscars, the big
- 12:43Speaker 3: names of Hollywood vote the Golden Globes. Nobody really votes,
- 12:47Speaker 3: nobody knows who the hell votes. It's always been a
- 12:50Speaker 3: sleezy organization. And again it's not the classiest show. In fact,
- 12:54Speaker 3: a lot of people a little stunned. They didn't do
- 12:57Speaker 3: any immemoriam, no mention to Rob Bryan, people that we
- 13:01Speaker 3: lost in the pasture, Diane Keaton, Robert Redford, Gene Hackman.
- 13:06Speaker 3: It was a bit of a mess. Marty Supreme did
- 13:09Speaker 3: very well, very well. It's a great movie. Go see it.
- 13:13Speaker 3: You'll love Marty Supreme. It's expected to do very well
- 13:17Speaker 3: at the Oscars. Excellent movie. I knew the real Marty Supreme.
- 13:22Speaker 3: His name was actually Marty Reesman. And all the ping
- 13:25Speaker 3: pong stuff in the movie about being the world champion,
- 13:27Speaker 3: it's all true. The other stuff totally made up. The gangsters,
- 13:33Speaker 3: the car chases, the guns, the fight, none of that. Really.
- 13:36Speaker 3: This guy was actually the most boring guy in the
- 13:38Speaker 3: world in real life. So anyway, we got a lot
- 13:41Speaker 3: to get to today. Oh now here's the left wing press.
- 13:46Speaker 3: They just go nuts. They just try to get President
- 13:49Speaker 3: Trump on something. Everything he does is wrong. Everything he
- 13:52Speaker 3: does is a crime, everything he does is suspicious. Everything.
- 13:56Speaker 3: So here's mediaite. Media eight is a very slanted left
- 14:00Speaker 3: wing website. They do a big story about how President Trump,
- 14:06Speaker 3: while he was in Palm Beach, the motorcade took a
- 14:09Speaker 3: very mysterious detour and went to a mysterious dentist appointment.
- 14:16Speaker 3: This is the actual headline. Trump goes to mystery dentist appointment.
- 14:24Speaker 3: He's in pom Beach. Apparently he has a local dentist
- 14:27Speaker 3: there that he likes. That's one of his regular dentists.
- 14:29Speaker 3: So he was in Palm Beach. He went to this
- 14:31Speaker 3: dentist's office at eight thirty in the morning and then
- 14:34Speaker 3: left about ten o'clock. The motorcade left them. The spokesperson said.
- 14:39Speaker 3: The president did not undergo any anesthesia. Now, if you
- 14:42Speaker 3: went to a dentist, what would you do there for
- 14:45Speaker 3: an hour? Well, I hate to break it to you,
- 14:49Speaker 3: he probably got his teeth cleaned. I get my teeth
- 14:51Speaker 3: cleaned every few months. You go to the dentist and
- 14:54Speaker 3: you're there for about an hour and then you'll leave.
- 14:58Speaker 3: I think that's it. So for these left twining sites
- 15:00Speaker 3: to say it's a mystery, why he went to the
- 15:03Speaker 3: dentist for an appointment. What could possibly take place in
- 15:06Speaker 3: the dentist's office that would be anything scandalous, anything unusual. Again,
- 15:11Speaker 3: probably just a cleaning. The President tweeting away the rest
- 15:14Speaker 3: of the night. Hey, we'll get to mom Donnie. He's
- 15:17Speaker 3: got his first big proposal coming up. No, it's it's
- 15:24Speaker 3: to create bathrooms, public bathrooms. This is his big plan,
- 15:29Speaker 3: but it'll be a good test. He wants to spend
- 15:30Speaker 3: four million dollars on what he calls high quality, modular
- 15:35Speaker 3: public restrooms, and he's put out feelers to companies to
- 15:40Speaker 3: come up with a plan. He says, right now, there's
- 15:43Speaker 3: a thousand restrooms across five boroughs, but he wants to
- 15:47Speaker 3: add many more because if you figure that out, it's
- 15:49Speaker 3: one restroom for every eighty five hundred New Yorkers. And
- 15:53Speaker 3: by the way, most of these public restrooms are in parks.
- 15:57Speaker 3: So this is his big plan, a Mom Donnie restroom. Now, yeah,
- 16:02Speaker 3: you can make your own joke there. But this is
- 16:04Speaker 3: his big legacy toilets. But it'll also be his first
- 16:09Speaker 3: test of whether or not this guy's never had a job,
- 16:12Speaker 3: never worked, never run anything. This will be his first
- 16:15Speaker 3: management test. Can he handle this? Can he get proper
- 16:18Speaker 3: companies doing good bids? Can he get a good plan?
- 16:21Speaker 3: You remember o other politicians have tried these public restrooms
- 16:25Speaker 3: and it ended up spending like a million dollars on
- 16:28Speaker 3: a little public bathroom. A million dollars would normally build
- 16:32Speaker 3: you a mansion. But we'll see what mom Downie does here. Hey,
- 16:35Speaker 3: we'll take some calls.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Next.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 16:40Speaker 3: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:44Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 16:47Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button.
- 16:49Speaker 8: Now.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on Double WA.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Hey, let's station calls. Let's go to Michael on the
- 17:01Speaker 3: east side. Michael, how you doing?
- 17:03Speaker 9: Hey, Mark, you're my morning vitamins. I'm glad to hear him.
- 17:08Speaker 9: Mont Demi is flush with cash. Might I say these
- 17:13Speaker 9: are gonna be called pity potties because we're gonna see
- 17:19Speaker 9: how much extra money he spends on these things.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Well, yeah, that's another thing. Whenever socialists get into power,
- 17:26Speaker 3: money seems to go missing, Contracts get handed out dramatically,
- 17:31Speaker 3: overpaying for everything, and then the money seems to vanish. Minnesota,
- 17:35Speaker 3: Somali Daycare. Good example, Bill Deblasio with his Thrive NYC.
- 17:41Speaker 3: This could be in the beginning of that kind of stuff,
- 17:43Speaker 3: this restroom contract. Let's go to David and Queen's David,
- 17:47Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 17:49Speaker 8: Hey, Mark, Good morning Mark.
- 17:51Speaker 10: One of the pluses of Cuomo not winning was that
- 17:54Speaker 10: we didn't have to look at that proof face Melissa's dirt.
- 17:57Speaker 3: No, he did what he said. But the rumor is
- 18:01Speaker 3: Andrew Cuomo wants to do a radio show. Oh my god,
- 18:05Speaker 3: this is there's a curse in the Cuomo family. Whatever
- 18:08Speaker 3: they try radio, it's disaster. His father, who I love twice,
- 18:12Speaker 3: tried a radio show. It was disaster. Didn't last long.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Cloma has tried it before. It's one thing he really
- 18:20Speaker 3: stinks at when you're on the radio. You can't talk
- 18:25Speaker 3: slow like he talks. And you know how when he
- 18:32Speaker 3: wants to sound dramatic, he makes his voice go up
- 18:34Speaker 3: and down, so all of a sudden he'll hit a
- 18:38Speaker 3: high note like that. And then the other thing is
- 18:43Speaker 3: it's one of the characterists of guys that always lie.
- 18:46Speaker 3: They ask themselves questions and answer them. So as he's talking,
- 18:50Speaker 3: he'll say, what do we mean when we say democracy.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Well we meet so a radio show. This will be
- 18:58Speaker 3: I hope it happens. It'll be disaster. It's the Cuomo curse.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing.
- 19:06Speaker 11: Good morning, Mark. Yes, Mike, this is the beginning of
- 19:09Speaker 11: Mamdani turning the city into a giant toilet. But as
- 19:13Speaker 11: you mentioned, it's the project has been attempted before. Many
- 19:16Speaker 11: years ago. There was a Spanish company, I believe, and
- 19:19Speaker 11: they put up a bunch of experimental standalone toilets. They
- 19:23Speaker 11: locked after you use them, they self cleaned and then
- 19:27Speaker 11: within one minute cycling they were opened again. And they
- 19:29Speaker 11: proposed to the city to build all these around at
- 19:33Speaker 11: their expense. And all they wanted was the rights to
- 19:36Speaker 11: the advertising on the build on these sevil instructures. And
- 19:40Speaker 11: they and they countered. There was something like eighty seven
- 19:43Speaker 11: different authorities that they had to go through, the homeless,
- 19:46Speaker 11: the preservations, the society, and they said, screw this, We're
- 19:50Speaker 11: not doing business with this crazy city. It's it's insane
- 19:53Speaker 11: to get anything built. And it disappeared. It was a
- 19:57Speaker 11: great project.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Yeah, if you want to make the perfect public toilet
- 20:00Speaker 3: that is easy to clean, indestructible efficient. I bet. And
- 20:04Speaker 3: if you went to some great private company, if you
- 20:07Speaker 3: went to Tim Cook and Apple and they did an
- 20:10Speaker 3: eye toilet for you, it would be phenomenal. But this
- 20:12Speaker 3: is Mom, Donnie and socialist. They'll find some companies in
- 20:16Speaker 3: the bronx. They'll overpay like crazy. It won't work. We
- 20:20Speaker 3: tried this before. Democrats have tried this. They end up
- 20:22Speaker 3: penning eight million a toilet. It doesn't work. It always
- 20:25Speaker 3: you say, well, where are they? They're all gone. They
- 20:27Speaker 3: didn't work. Let's go to Bill Lafayette, New Jersey. Bill.
- 20:31Speaker 3: How you doing, Hi?
- 20:33Speaker 4: Mark? I'm Mark.
- 20:34Speaker 8: A couple of days ago, there was new footage released
- 20:37Speaker 8: about the Minnesota shooting, about the woman who was shot
- 20:40Speaker 8: by the ice agent, and it looks like it's tampered
- 20:44Speaker 8: with because I looked on Google later on it said
- 20:47Speaker 8: tampered footage of shooting release. And I don't know if
- 20:52Speaker 8: you saw that or not. But everybody was calm and collected,
- 20:56Speaker 8: and a passenger got out of the car and she
- 20:58Speaker 8: was cool and got back in and then all hell
- 21:01Speaker 8: broke blues. So do you know anything about that?
- 21:03Speaker 3: Yeah, there is some tampered let's just say doctor doctored
- 21:06Speaker 3: footage that's been chopped up and edited a little all
- 21:09Speaker 3: over the internet. There's some where they've added some dialogue
- 21:12Speaker 3: that wasn't there before. Listen, the shooting is totally one
- 21:16Speaker 3: thousand percent justified under every law, in every police department.
- 21:21Speaker 3: The shooting was justified. She drove Adam. The first shot
- 21:26Speaker 3: he fired went through the front windshield, which means he
- 21:29Speaker 3: was in front of the car. It's impossible to fire
- 21:32Speaker 3: through the front windshield if you're on the side. So
- 21:34Speaker 3: she did run at him, she did hit him. Now,
- 21:37Speaker 3: if you talk to the top law enforcement guys in
- 21:39Speaker 3: the world off the record, they'll say, you know, he
- 21:43Speaker 3: really didn't have to fire. He justified, he can, but
- 21:46Speaker 3: probably shouldn't have. You know, let her go and then
- 21:50Speaker 3: you'll catch you a couple of blocks later. I think
- 21:51Speaker 3: from what I hear, even Tom Holman is thinking that
- 21:53Speaker 3: he didn't have to fire. But he's in no legal jeopardy.
- 21:57Speaker 3: He's totally justified. Holman has been pretty careful in his response.
- 22:03Speaker 3: This is him yesterday.
- 22:04Speaker 6: We need to let this play out. But while we're
- 22:07Speaker 6: doing that, we got to stop the hateful Reddit. Sanders officers.
- 22:11Speaker 6: A murderer is dangerous, It's just ridiculous. It's just gonna
- 22:16Speaker 6: and it's going to infuriate people more, which means it's
- 22:20Speaker 6: going to be more insolence like this because the hateful
- 22:22Speaker 6: Reddics not only continuing now is triple down and double down.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Yeah again, could be a little more restraint. You didn't
- 22:28Speaker 3: have to fire. But he's totally justified in firing. He
- 22:33Speaker 3: is in no legal jeopardy. He has committed no violation
- 22:37Speaker 3: of any rule, law, or anything. He is totally justified
- 22:41Speaker 3: in the shooting. Oh, when we come back, Ed Rollins
- 22:44Speaker 3: will be with us. We've got a lot to talk
- 22:45Speaker 3: to him about President's next moves. We'll get to the
- 22:48Speaker 3: mid terms, we'll get to twenty twenty eight and more.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Just ahead on seven to ten, wr.
- 22:55Speaker 1: He's more Marks the Mark Simone Show on seven ten double.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Well, let's turn to the Dean himself, the greatest political analyst,
- 23:04Speaker 3: the ball boy. He's run a million campaigns, He's run
- 23:06Speaker 3: the most successful campaigns of all, Ed Rollins, How you
- 23:10Speaker 3: doing pretty good?
- 23:12Speaker 4: Mark?
- 23:12Speaker 3: Are you good?
- 23:14Speaker 4: A lot of activity going on in the world. We
- 23:16Speaker 4: don't want to be sitting on the White House today.
- 23:18Speaker 3: Well, let me ask you, as the veteran of a
- 23:20Speaker 3: lot of white houses, these protests all over the streets,
- 23:22Speaker 3: all this video, all this stuff we're watching. Is this
- 23:24Speaker 3: hurting or helping the president?
- 23:28Speaker 4: Right now? It's undefined. I mean, I think I think
- 23:31Speaker 4: some of the things he's doing are very beneficial to
- 23:33Speaker 4: the country. Some of the things are distracting. I mean,
- 23:36Speaker 4: his mission has got to be Now we're really in
- 23:39Speaker 4: the middle of the start of the mid terms. He's
- 23:43Speaker 4: got to basically give his party something to run on,
- 23:45Speaker 4: and it has to be something that they they're not
- 23:48Speaker 4: gonna win on battling Venezuela or changing Iranian resolves or
- 23:53Speaker 4: what have you. It's it's going to be the economy
- 23:55Speaker 4: and particularly healthcare, and he's got to focus on that.
- 23:59Speaker 4: I mean, this sidebar thin like getting rid of Powell
- 24:01Speaker 4: on what have you, or part of the job of
- 24:03Speaker 4: the president obviously, but at the end of the day,
- 24:06Speaker 4: it's not what people want. People right now want to
- 24:08Speaker 4: know you care about me, and so you're promised you're
- 24:12Speaker 4: going to fix the economy for me. And that's what
- 24:14Speaker 4: members of Congress Kinna have to deal with.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Yeah, they used to call that in Washington the Green
- 24:18Speaker 3: Bay Diner test. You know, there was if you went
- 24:21Speaker 3: to green Bay, Wisconsin into a diner, is anybody talking
- 24:24Speaker 3: about this? And if they're not, it's not an issue.
- 24:26Speaker 4: So well in green Bay they're not talking about any
- 24:28Speaker 4: of the Green Bay losses. But you're absolutely right it is.
- 24:34Speaker 4: And when you got twenty two million people going to
- 24:37Speaker 4: have their healthcare altered in the sense of paying much
- 24:39Speaker 4: higher rates for the insurance, that's a that's a lot
- 24:43Speaker 4: of activity out there.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Yeah, so Democrats want to pass this, you know, patch
- 24:49Speaker 3: the subsidies, extend the subsidies from the year or two.
- 24:52Speaker 3: But doesn't that kind of hurt them in the midterms
- 24:54Speaker 3: if it's all taken care of, it's not going to.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Be taken care of. I mean, I don't think it's
- 24:59Speaker 4: going to get resolved unless the Republicans willing to make
- 25:02Speaker 4: some big change in their and their plans. They're they're
- 25:06Speaker 4: talking that was gonna be an Other problem is the
- 25:10Speaker 4: speak of Johnson's space. He is you know, he has
- 25:13Speaker 4: no majority. I mean, it's SIT's down of two votes.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Got to make sure everybody's there every day, uh, you know,
- 25:19Speaker 4: and their congressman died over the week. Over the last
- 25:21Speaker 4: couple weeks, going to California. Uh, and the numbers are
- 25:25Speaker 4: just you know, two or three vote margins. You're always
- 25:27Speaker 4: missing two or three voters in the Congress, and so
- 25:30Speaker 4: I think this task is very, very difficulty.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Hey, I just getting back to these protests and all
- 25:35Speaker 3: the video we're seeing protesting, defund ice, all this stuff
- 25:38Speaker 3: that You've seen this a million times. Don't the Democrats
- 25:42Speaker 3: when they do this stuff, Don't they end up always
- 25:44Speaker 3: overplaying their hand and going too far.
- 25:47Speaker 4: They do. But but you can't you can't bet on
- 25:50Speaker 4: the other side doing We have to worry about what's
- 25:55Speaker 4: going to help us, and I think we've got to
- 25:57Speaker 4: focus on the things that matter. You know. One of
- 25:59Speaker 4: the problems I make is that with immigration, obviously it
- 26:02Speaker 4: was a critical issue for the president. You see a
- 26:04Speaker 4: couple of thousand guys and heavy military guard in Minnesota
- 26:08Speaker 4: standing around guarding a federal bill, and that doesn't make
- 26:13Speaker 4: people think about stopping illegals coming into the country. May
- 26:16Speaker 4: be an underlying part of it, but at the end
- 26:19Speaker 4: of the day, people want to see those guys out
- 26:21Speaker 4: there on the borders making sure that people are being
- 26:24Speaker 4: we're here illegally or improper arrested, and they want criminals arrested.
- 26:27Speaker 4: They don't want the ordinary guy who's been there for
- 26:29Speaker 4: twenty thirty years, who works in the market, works on
- 26:31Speaker 4: the farms, who may be here illegally arrassed and drag
- 26:36Speaker 4: through the fields. He I opplicated issue.
- 26:38Speaker 3: There's always issues, always problems. But when you agree that
- 26:41Speaker 3: you worked with Reagan, Nixon, everybody, when you agree the
- 26:44Speaker 3: president's having a very successful second term. Usually it's rough
- 26:47Speaker 3: the second term, but so far he's getting a lot done.
- 26:51Speaker 4: He's getting a lot done. This president's got the strongest
- 26:53Speaker 4: position of any president I've seen in my lifetime that
- 26:56Speaker 4: presidential scholar.
- 26:57Speaker 3: When I haven't worked for.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Presidents, I work for several. He has basically taken on
- 27:03Speaker 4: a lot of things, and he's got great powers. The
- 27:07Speaker 4: Congress has given him to a certain extent, give given
- 27:09Speaker 4: them much of their power, and I think to a
- 27:11Speaker 4: certain extent, he's got to make sure the things he does.
- 27:13Speaker 4: He can't do everything every day.
- 27:14Speaker 3: You've got to make it to.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Make sure that your message is getting out. There is
- 27:18Speaker 4: here the five or three two things that are doing
- 27:20Speaker 4: the healthy American public?
- 27:22Speaker 3: Yeah? So, and what about twenty twenty eight? Gavin Newsom
- 27:25Speaker 3: looks like the front runner. But what do you think,
- 27:28Speaker 3: He's the show horse, not the workhorse.
- 27:31Speaker 4: They say he's a show horse, and he's got severe
- 27:34Speaker 4: problems in California, financial issues and what have you. And
- 27:38Speaker 4: he has n't a particularly good governor. But sometimes it's
- 27:41Speaker 4: a matter of change, you know, And he's getting attention
- 27:45Speaker 4: at this point in time. And you know, I think
- 27:47Speaker 4: there'll be several of the candidates that are running, so
- 27:49Speaker 4: they're going to have a primary. We may have a
- 27:51Speaker 4: primary too, though, so I think at the end of
- 27:52Speaker 4: the day, we need to focus on the mid term
- 27:54Speaker 4: and the next presidential lecture right now.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Yeah, but a couple of years out. You always see
- 27:59Speaker 3: some blas a good looking guy who's way out in front,
- 28:03Speaker 3: Gary Hart, John Edwards. But don't they always go down
- 28:06Speaker 3: in flames. They never end up with the nomination, do they.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Fortunately fortune they happen up to this point in time.
- 28:12Speaker 4: My sense, Yeah, I think the critical thing here is
- 28:17Speaker 4: there's so much on the plate right now. Let's make
- 28:20Speaker 4: sure we have full scale of candidates. We're still going
- 28:23Speaker 4: to see some smare Republicans drop out. I mean they're
- 28:25Speaker 4: they're coming back from their home vacation, Christmas vacation and
- 28:29Speaker 4: a lot of them have beat up pretty good by
- 28:31Speaker 4: their friends and family. You know, go back there and
- 28:33Speaker 4: do something. What's going on? If if you sat me
- 28:36Speaker 4: down today and you and I had lunche and said,
- 28:38Speaker 4: are hear the worships and matter? What would they be?
- 28:41Speaker 2: H you could?
- 28:42Speaker 4: You could do it? I could do it. It could the
- 28:44Speaker 4: public do it. That's the key thing here is you've
- 28:46Speaker 4: got to make sure you have a communication message. Uh,
- 28:49Speaker 4: here's what we're doing. While we're doing it, you know,
- 28:51Speaker 4: getting rid of Chairman Powell, are basically dragging into the
- 28:54Speaker 4: course for overspending and building a building is not is
- 28:58Speaker 4: not what the country's focusing.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Uh hey, Rose, let me ask you something that the divisiveness,
- 29:04Speaker 3: the hatred. You know, if you have anything that with Trump,
- 29:06Speaker 3: people won't talk to you. They're screaming. When you were
- 29:09Speaker 3: working for Nixon or Reagan it was divided then, But
- 29:11Speaker 3: was it that bad? Were the people have refused to
- 29:13Speaker 3: speak to you because you were working for them?
- 29:16Speaker 8: No?
- 29:16Speaker 4: Dog, And this is the worst I've ever seen it.
- 29:20Speaker 4: And I don't know, I don't know when it goes
- 29:22Speaker 4: back in the bottle again. In the sense that we've
- 29:25Speaker 4: got to have some bipartisanship that you unless either side
- 29:29Speaker 4: winds big in the in the midterms, which you know,
- 29:32Speaker 4: I would say at this point in time, that's that's unlikely.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It's still going to be very divided Congress and how
- 29:37Speaker 4: you got to look to the public you're working together. Yeah,
- 29:41Speaker 4: we're not. We're not a parliamentary system where you know,
- 29:45Speaker 4: democracy and equally supportant. You know, we can't get military
- 29:49Speaker 4: to all these places. We've got a great military. We
- 29:52Speaker 4: need to build it up. But the big battles are
- 29:54Speaker 4: still Ahead're gonna be a budget battles. I mean, we
- 29:56Speaker 4: you know, we still got the whole confic has to
- 29:59Speaker 4: deal with the that's that's gonna be a real battle.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Yeah. Hey, today, later today, Bruce Blakeman gets inaugurated for
- 30:06Speaker 3: a second term county executive. I think he'd be he'd
- 30:09Speaker 3: be a great governor.
- 30:11Speaker 4: Uh. The what are.
- 30:14Speaker 3: The chances for a Republican in New York State, Well.
- 30:17Speaker 4: And they're not great because of the overwhelming number of
- 30:20Speaker 4: Democrats with Bruce is a superb candidate who who's run
- 30:24Speaker 4: a great county.
- 30:24Speaker 8: Uh.
- 30:25Speaker 4: And I think if anything, that he won't he won't
- 30:28Speaker 4: ever sitting in the primary. And I think to a
- 30:30Speaker 4: certain extent, we have an opportunity against a very very
- 30:32Speaker 4: weak governor.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, well Ed, Rollands, great stuff. We always
- 30:37Speaker 3: love talking to you. Thanks for being with us. Take care.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Yeah later today. Bruce Blakeman inauguration for a second term
- 30:45Speaker 3: is County. He's the best county executive in America. And
- 30:49Speaker 3: the job of a county executive you're basically the governor.
- 30:51Speaker 3: You're the governor of Nassau County, and Nassau County is huge.
- 30:56Speaker 3: It's three million people. It's bigger than some states. So uh,
- 31:00Speaker 3: there's nobody more qualified to take over as governor of
- 31:03Speaker 3: New York election coming up later this year. He would
- 31:06Speaker 3: be perfect. I'm gonna go to the inauguration today. I'll
- 31:09Speaker 3: report back to you tomorrow all about it. Hey, don't
- 31:12Speaker 3: forget Buck and Clay. They'll be here at noon today
- 31:15Speaker 3: with a great show for you. And then the most
- 31:17Speaker 3: listened to radio show in America Sean Hannity at three,
- 31:20Speaker 3: Jesse Kelly at six, Jimmy Fayler. Boy, people love this
- 31:23Speaker 3: new show. It's a great talk show. It's interesting, it's entertaining,
- 31:27Speaker 3: it's funny. Jimmy Fayler every night at nine, seven to
- 31:30Speaker 3: ten WR.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Mar Simo seventen o.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Well, Jerome Powell, the DOJ, I think with jinein Piro
- 31:43Speaker 3: announced Well, they didn't announce it. Actually there's an investigation
- 31:46Speaker 3: into Powell. You know, the FED rebuilt this office building.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Should have been about a five hundred million dollar job.
- 31:52Speaker 3: They spent about three billion, So everybody wants to know
- 31:55Speaker 3: where the missing money went and why they overpaid. So
- 31:59Speaker 3: unbelieva probably much. But Powell had a testify for Congress,
- 32:03Speaker 3: so I guess the charge will be lying to Congress. Now,
- 32:07Speaker 3: usually it'd be Congress that would bring these charges, so
- 32:09Speaker 3: for the Justice Department to do this, President Trump responded,
- 32:15Speaker 3: this is not the way I want to go, implying
- 32:17Speaker 3: that he's not behind it. But apparently was Powell that
- 32:21Speaker 3: released this. He's trying to get ahead of it. So
- 32:25Speaker 3: it was Powell that and he doesn't usually do this,
- 32:27Speaker 3: but all of a sudden, he held a press conference,
- 32:29Speaker 3: and he put on the glasses, got all dressed up
- 32:31Speaker 3: and created a beautiful background and everything, and did this
- 32:35Speaker 3: press conference announcing that he's a target. I guess he
- 32:38Speaker 3: implied it was law fare. But if all that money
- 32:41Speaker 3: went missing, you're either a crook, or you're a total incompetent.
- 32:47Speaker 3: If you couldn't keep track of your spending and you're
- 32:49Speaker 3: overpaid by like eight million percent on a new building,
- 32:52Speaker 3: you're really incompetent. So either way, it's taxpayer money comes
- 32:56Speaker 3: out of people's paychecks. It should be investigated. Hey, we
- 32:59Speaker 3: got a lot to get to in the next hour.
- 33:02Speaker 3: We'll get to McDonald's, we'll get to Minnesota and a
- 33:06Speaker 3: mom Donnie, and a whole lot more coming up right
- 33:08Speaker 3: after the news Mark Simone here on seven to ten.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Wo let's get back to the Mark Simone Show on WR.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Well, somehow it got to be Monday already. Anybody want
- 33:25Speaker 3: to hear about Minnesota. I don't think so. I think
- 33:28Speaker 3: the Democrats have already overplayed their hand. Agin I don't
- 33:30Speaker 3: want to talk about it anymore. It's enough with this Minnesota.
- 33:34Speaker 3: But you've seen the video all weekend of these crazy
- 33:37Speaker 3: they just you know, Actually, here's Kylie Kaylee Mcananey, former
- 33:42Speaker 3: White House Press secretary. This is a pretty good way
- 33:46Speaker 3: to put it. America does not have a white supremacy problem.
- 33:50Speaker 3: It has a spoiled, unhinged white liberals problem. That isn't
- 33:54Speaker 3: It is true these crazy white liberals have gotten crazier, angrier,
- 33:58Speaker 3: more unhinged, and just spoiled like crazy. I mean the
- 34:02Speaker 3: idea of thinking you can just jump in front of
- 34:04Speaker 3: police cars, or you can pull your car in front
- 34:07Speaker 3: and block them in. Or you see this video where
- 34:09Speaker 3: they just go up to the police cars ice but
- 34:12Speaker 3: still law enforcement cars go up to the window and
- 34:14Speaker 3: start banging on them. I mean again, when you see
- 34:18Speaker 3: a cop on the street, you're on this you're driving,
- 34:20Speaker 3: there's a cop all of a sudden, you drive very slowly,
- 34:24Speaker 3: very carefully. You wouldn't think to pull your car in
- 34:26Speaker 3: front and block him and then go bang on his wing.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Who in the right mind would do that? Anyway, Enough Minnesota, Hey,
- 34:32Speaker 3: Bob Weir passed away Grateful Dead. He was the lead
- 34:36Speaker 3: sing around a lot of their biggest hits. Bob Weir. Uh,
- 34:41Speaker 3: I gotta be honest. I was never a Grateful Dead fan.
- 34:43Speaker 3: I'm not a dead head. I had no interest in
- 34:45Speaker 3: the Grateful Dead. He did have a couple of hit
- 34:47Speaker 3: singles on his own which I remember playing, and you
- 34:50Speaker 3: would come on the show and he'd interview him. Very
- 34:52Speaker 3: nice guy, but I mean, was again not a big
- 34:56Speaker 3: Grateful Dead fan. But it did kill thirty seconds, so
- 34:58Speaker 3: we played no. He's very good, very good, exactllent. The
- 35:01Speaker 3: grateful dead fans, the dead heads, whatever you call him,
- 35:03Speaker 3: are so devoted, and he was so I mean, just
- 35:07Speaker 3: a major figure in music. You know, when somebody dies
- 35:11Speaker 3: or they pay tribute at the Empire State Building, they
- 35:13Speaker 3: light up the Empire State Building. If it's the Giants,
- 35:17Speaker 3: that's in blue and white. If it's the Mets, they
- 35:20Speaker 3: put it in blue and orange. I don't know how
- 35:22Speaker 3: they did it last night, but they lit the Empire
- 35:25Speaker 3: State Building with tie dye lights. They had lights of
- 35:29Speaker 3: all different colors, and they got him to form a
- 35:31Speaker 3: like a tide pattern. If you go online you can
- 35:33Speaker 3: see the picture. It's pretty amazing. And again a lot
- 35:37Speaker 3: of people are mad at the Golden Globes. Where's the
- 35:40Speaker 3: immemorium the people lost this year Rob Reiner? Where was
- 35:43Speaker 3: the tribute to Rob Reiner? Nothing on the Golden Globes.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Speaking of Rob Reiner, the son, Nick Reiner still I
- 35:52Speaker 3: guess looking for a new lawyer. His lawyer quit. Now
- 35:55Speaker 3: more is coming out about Nick Reiner. He's thirty two
- 35:58Speaker 3: years old. Apparently he was absolute was diagnosed with schizophrenia.
- 36:03Speaker 3: In the weeks before the killing. He was diagnosed with
- 36:06Speaker 3: actual schizophrenia. Now, some top criminal lawyers, I've asked them,
- 36:10Speaker 3: what would make that he had a top criminal lawyer
- 36:13Speaker 3: of LA, what would make that guy quit? And some
- 36:16Speaker 3: of these guys told me, you don't want to work
- 36:18Speaker 3: with a schizophrenic. It's impossible, impossible to work with them.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Prepared defense with them, try to get them through the trial.
- 36:26Speaker 3: It's just rough. It's just way too rough. So he
- 36:29Speaker 3: was actually diagnosed with schizophrenia. He was on all kinds
- 36:32Speaker 3: of medication for it. And these sort of medications they
- 36:36Speaker 3: call him psychotropic drugs can make you even crazier. They
- 36:41Speaker 3: can make you erratic, they can make you very dangerous.
- 36:44Speaker 3: In fact, many of these psychotropic drugs, it says right
- 36:47Speaker 3: in the side effects, may cause maniacal behavior, homicidal behavior.
- 36:54Speaker 3: It can do that. And that's why many times you
- 36:55Speaker 3: see this crazy kid who shoots up a school or shoots,
- 36:59Speaker 3: you know, mass shooting. It turns out he was on
- 37:02Speaker 3: these psychotropic drugs. It's a big problem. So they put
- 37:06Speaker 3: Rob Reiner on these drugs and apparently another side effect
- 37:11Speaker 3: was weight gain. He gained a lot of weight on
- 37:13Speaker 3: the drug, which he was very upset about, and he
- 37:16Speaker 3: convinced the doctors to change his medication to something else. Well,
- 37:21Speaker 3: whatever the other medication they switched him to was was
- 37:24Speaker 3: much more dangerous. It made him much more erratic, and
- 37:28Speaker 3: his behavior went really psycho And normally when somebody gets
- 37:35Speaker 3: that crazy on the medication, you're supposed to put him
- 37:38Speaker 3: in what's called a temporary cycholed, which means you don't
- 37:41Speaker 3: let them loose, you keep them in a facility. Doctors
- 37:45Speaker 3: decided not to place him on a temporary cycoled and
- 37:50Speaker 3: to leave him out there in the world, which was
- 37:52Speaker 3: very dangerous. But two factors there. It's California. So when
- 37:57Speaker 3: it's California doctors California treatment places, they're very, very very
- 38:02Speaker 3: lax and liberal about things. If it was here in
- 38:05Speaker 3: New York, they've probably been a little tougher about it. Also,
- 38:08Speaker 3: it's Rob Reiner. He's a major figure in California. So
- 38:13Speaker 3: the hiners apparently did not want to have to do that.
- 38:16Speaker 3: If they didn't have to, they decided not to do that,
- 38:20Speaker 3: and the doctors went along with it. So big mistake,
- 38:26Speaker 3: big mistake. But next quarte is I think in February
- 38:31Speaker 3: so he'll be in jail till then, and then we'll see.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Now this mom Donnie's stuff that you saw the first thing.
- 38:42Speaker 3: He wants to do these public toilets, bathrooms and wants
- 38:46Speaker 3: to spend millions on them. Here's the other problem with Madonni,
- 38:50Speaker 3: Mam Donnie, or as Al Sharpon would say, Mom Donnie.
- 38:56Speaker 3: Everybody city hall veterans, the New York political veterans looking
- 39:01Speaker 3: at the whole situation. From what they're seeing, it looks
- 39:06Speaker 3: like he's going to continue to be more of a
- 39:08Speaker 3: candidate than a mayor. It's more of a campaign than
- 39:11Speaker 3: an administration. They've noticed, I mean, he put in a
- 39:14Speaker 3: lot of wacky Deblasio type left wing kooks in different jobs.
- 39:18Speaker 3: But they've noticed that he's created an enormous press office
- 39:24Speaker 3: beyond anything anybody's ever needed. You know, it's usually a
- 39:27Speaker 3: couple of people running the press office and a couple
- 39:30Speaker 3: of assistants, but he's put in a massive amount of
- 39:33Speaker 3: people in this press office, a massive communications team. This
- 39:38Speaker 3: is very unusual. So they're thinking that he has no
- 39:41Speaker 3: idea how to run anything. He's not a manager, he's
- 39:44Speaker 3: not a mayor. He has he's never had a job
- 39:47Speaker 3: in his life, so he doesn't know anything about working
- 39:49Speaker 3: in an office or running anything. So all he knows
- 39:52Speaker 3: how to do is campaign. So they think he's going
- 39:54Speaker 3: to just continue in campaign mode. And he's brought in
- 39:57Speaker 3: some heavy hitters for this communications team, people from the
- 40:00Speaker 3: Bernie Sanders team, a couple of couple of big Bernie
- 40:04Speaker 3: Sanders people come in and be communications directors, his speech
- 40:08Speaker 3: writer and deputy communications director, all from these left wing
- 40:13Speaker 3: kind of kooky things. Yeah, basically calling it's going to
- 40:17Speaker 3: be a department of propaganda. Now what does this mean?
- 40:21Speaker 3: He's also created something else. Besides the press office, the
- 40:24Speaker 3: communications office, He's created another body called the Office of
- 40:28Speaker 3: Mass Engagement and put a Democratic Socialist comrade in charge
- 40:36Speaker 3: of it. So I guess the idea is, no matter
- 40:38Speaker 3: what he does or if he does nothing, he'll have
- 40:40Speaker 3: this enormous PR machine going full time in overdrive, selling
- 40:45Speaker 3: hype and creating this whole illusion of him doing something.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Now this is kind of good news, because the word
- 40:53Speaker 3: is from some people that is scary as he is,
- 40:56Speaker 3: it might not be that scary because he's a lot
- 40:58Speaker 3: like Deblasio and that he's not going to act do anything.
- 41:01Speaker 3: He's just gonna do public stuff, you know, just campaigning speeches,
- 41:07Speaker 3: not actually on the ground, actually doing anything. So this
- 41:10Speaker 3: would kind of indicate that. So we'll see what that
- 41:16Speaker 3: was Bill Gates doing in New York. Did you see
- 41:17Speaker 3: all this Bill Gates video? It was all over Twitter, Instagram,
- 41:22Speaker 3: everywhere Bill Gates is in New York. He goes into
- 41:25Speaker 3: Times Square and he has a hot dog off a cart.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I don't know what the idea was. It was to
- 41:31Speaker 3: make I guess, to make him look like he's just
- 41:33Speaker 3: a regular guy eating a hot dog off a cart.
- 41:36Speaker 3: But he's looking at it like it's something from Mars,
- 41:38Speaker 3: like he's never seen a cart, He's never seen a
- 41:40Speaker 3: hot dog. Also, I noticed there's a lot of security
- 41:43Speaker 3: guys all around him, not just playing security guys, but
- 41:46Speaker 3: with fancy suits and the earpieces, and they look like
- 41:49Speaker 3: secret service. You know, if you look at a hot
- 41:51Speaker 3: dog cart and even if there's a line, nobody has
- 41:53Speaker 3: fourteen bodyguards with earpieces. In highly unusual McDonald's. Donald's has
- 42:00Speaker 3: big plans for twenty twenty six. They're going to introduce
- 42:03Speaker 3: new menu items. This is you know, once in a
- 42:06Speaker 3: million years do they add something to the McDonald's menu.
- 42:10Speaker 3: And besides new items, they're going to have a secret
- 42:12Speaker 3: menu where things pop up on the menu. All of us. Now,
- 42:16Speaker 3: the idea of this, they think, this is how you
- 42:17Speaker 3: play Instagram and TikTok with little secret things that pop
- 42:22Speaker 3: up and get a lot of a buzz on TikTok
- 42:24Speaker 3: and Instagram and all that stuff. But the biggest new item,
- 42:27Speaker 3: now that these other things they're working on, a surf
- 42:30Speaker 3: and turf burger, a chicken cheese burger, a chicken, big Mac,
- 42:36Speaker 3: an espresso milkshake. All right, this is all good apple
- 42:39Speaker 3: pie Minnie mcflurry. I don't know what the hell that is. It's, oh,
- 42:42Speaker 3: that's a milkshake, but with like an apple pie in it.
- 42:45Speaker 3: And oh they want to sell the Big Mac sauce
- 42:48Speaker 3: separately as a as a dip. You could buy the
- 42:53Speaker 3: Big Mac sauce. Isn't that great? I think if you
- 42:56Speaker 3: went into any supermarket AND's got a bottle of Russian dressing,
- 42:59Speaker 3: I think you'd have pretty It's the same thing. But
- 43:01Speaker 3: the big item, the big thing for twenty twenty six
- 43:03Speaker 3: to introduce the biggest burger, a giant burger. It's the
- 43:08Speaker 3: massive double patty burger called the Big Arch it's two
- 43:13Speaker 3: huge beef patties, three slices of cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions,
- 43:19Speaker 3: a new tangy, big arch sauce.
- 43:22Speaker 5: Uh.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Okay, that sounds good because a lot of places have
- 43:25Speaker 3: much bigger, juicier burgers. Problem with McDonald's too much bun.
- 43:29Speaker 3: I remember talking to Julia Child once on the air,
- 43:31Speaker 3: but she loved McDonald's, but she said the bun to
- 43:34Speaker 3: meat ratio is not good. Too much bun, not enough meat.
- 43:39Speaker 3: But this could be a big thing, the big big
- 43:42Speaker 3: arch now the only thing to remember anything McDonald's has
- 43:48Speaker 3: ever created. In other words, McDonald's has a development test
- 43:52Speaker 3: kitchen where they come up with new things to put
- 43:55Speaker 3: on the menu. They spend millions and millions every year
- 43:58Speaker 3: on this test kitchen where the development guys try to
- 44:01Speaker 3: come up with everything they ever came up with and
- 44:03Speaker 3: put on the menu. Totally bombed the McLean. You remember that,
- 44:08Speaker 3: the McLean. All that stuff totally bombed. The only things
- 44:12Speaker 3: that have new things that ever took off were invented
- 44:14Speaker 3: by local franchises. It was a local franchise that came
- 44:18Speaker 3: up with the fish file at Sandwich. It was somewhere
- 44:21Speaker 3: in the South where everybody was Catholic, and back then
- 44:23Speaker 3: you couldn't meet on Friday. So to save their business,
- 44:26Speaker 3: they came up with the fish file at became so
- 44:29Speaker 3: popular McDonald's put it on the menu. I think the
- 44:31Speaker 3: Big Mac actually was created by a franchise, but whenever
- 44:35Speaker 3: McDonald's comes up, but it never works. Now, the good
- 44:36Speaker 3: news is this big arch, this big burger has been
- 44:40Speaker 3: tested out in Europe, in Ireland, a couple other countries.
- 44:45Speaker 3: It's work there, so expect that to come to the
- 44:49Speaker 3: McDonald's near you soon. Hey Sacks, Fifth Avenue, you know
- 44:53Speaker 3: they're about to file for bankruptcy. This could break at
- 44:56Speaker 3: any moment. People think they're going to file bankruptcy at
- 44:58Speaker 3: any moment. You know, they bought Neman Marcus. They spent
- 45:02Speaker 3: billions of dollars to buy Neiman Marcus. It's all combined.
- 45:05Speaker 3: They also own Bergdorf Goodman. But it's looking like they're
- 45:08Speaker 3: heading into bankruptcy. They got massive debt. They borrowed almost
- 45:12Speaker 3: three billion, They owe a lot of money. They missed
- 45:15Speaker 3: the payment the other day of one hundred million one
- 45:17Speaker 3: hundred million dollar interest payment, So it looks like at
- 45:21Speaker 3: any moment they might file bankruptcy. Now this is leaking
- 45:25Speaker 3: out everywhere. So a lot of shoppers are rushing the
- 45:28Speaker 3: sacks to spend their their credit. You know those cards,
- 45:32Speaker 3: those gift cards, everything, use up any credit.
- 45:34Speaker 2: They have.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Problem is retail sales, you know, have died in general.
- 45:41Speaker 3: In general, retail sales way down, but especially with very
- 45:44Speaker 3: high end luxury items, and they just expanded too much.
- 45:49Speaker 3: They just you know, you can go into I mean
- 45:52Speaker 3: the good news. You're going to Sacks right now. Going
- 45:54Speaker 3: to Burgdorf. They're empty. Go over there to Neman Marcus
- 45:58Speaker 3: up the block there, they're empty. There's nobody in there.
- 46:01Speaker 3: There's like thirty five salespeople and two customers. You can
- 46:05Speaker 3: always get some service there. Anyway, we'll take some calls
- 46:08Speaker 3: in a minute. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 46:11Speaker 3: seven ten is a number. Eight hundred three to two
- 46:14Speaker 3: one zero seven ten. Dina Powell, that's the wife of
- 46:20Speaker 3: the He's a good guy, Dave McCormick. He's the senator
- 46:23Speaker 3: from Pennsylvania. He was the head of the Carlisle Group.
- 46:26Speaker 3: A big hedge, fun guy, very nice guy. Dave McCormick.
- 46:28Speaker 3: He's married to Dina Powell, who's been one of those
- 46:34Speaker 3: overly ambitious, extremely aggressively ambitious women. You drop her in
- 46:40Speaker 3: the middle of anything and she's like work in the
- 46:42Speaker 3: room and like trying to push it. She's got herself
- 46:46Speaker 3: into the first Trump administration, got herself into Goldman sacked,
- 46:49Speaker 3: very pushy, obnoxious tress on the other of people crazy.
- 46:52Speaker 3: They used to call her dirty Dina in Washington, always scheming, pushing.
- 46:57Speaker 3: It was announced this morning she'll be the new president
- 46:59Speaker 3: of Facebook, of Meta. They've hired her. Why well for
- 47:04Speaker 3: all her pushing and scheming, she does know everybody in
- 47:07Speaker 3: Washington that can be helpful. And her husband, Dave McCormick,
- 47:10Speaker 3: has become really close to Donald Trump. He's really taking
- 47:14Speaker 3: a shine to Dave McCormick, has him at the White
- 47:17Speaker 3: House all the time. So that's basically what I look
- 47:20Speaker 3: for in a president of Facebook. Somebody can get things done,
- 47:23Speaker 3: pick up the phone, get you what you need. Hey,
- 47:25Speaker 3: we'll take some calls. Next eight hundred three to two
- 47:28Speaker 3: one zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three
- 47:31Speaker 3: to two one zero seven ten.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Mister New York. He's on the case the Mark Simone
- 47:37Speaker 1: Show on seven ten.
- 47:39Speaker 3: Wo Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Dennis,
- 47:44Speaker 3: Long Island. Dennis, how you doing.
- 47:47Speaker 2: I'm well, good morning.
- 47:48Speaker 12: I'm just curious to your thoughts on real estate in
- 47:51Speaker 12: New York City. Of course, in real estate and real
- 47:53Speaker 12: estate prices going forward.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Well, the real estate is booming in New York City.
- 47:58Speaker 3: You cannot get an apartment an you can't rent an apartment.
- 48:01Speaker 3: The market is just totally millions of people moving in.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Rental is indication people moving into New York.
- 48:10Speaker 10: So nobody's fighting by this gun.
- 48:12Speaker 3: There might be a couple who are going to leave,
- 48:14Speaker 3: but more people are coming in and leaving. In fact,
- 48:17Speaker 3: high end apartments, there's very little inventory. Price going crazy.
- 48:22Speaker 3: More contracts signed in the last month than usual, and
- 48:25Speaker 3: I mean actual sales where it went to closing in
- 48:27Speaker 3: a contract. Skyscrapers are going up all over New York.
- 48:33Speaker 3: The whole skyline is going to change in the next
- 48:34Speaker 3: five years, massive, really tall skyscrapers. One going in at
- 48:39Speaker 3: the fifty third in Madison, one going at the fifty
- 48:42Speaker 3: eighth and Madison, one going at Park Avenue in fifty second.
- 48:47Speaker 3: All over New York, these huge skyscrapers are being built.
- 48:50Speaker 3: These are all the top builders in New York, and
- 48:52Speaker 3: every one of these skyscrapers, you know, costs a billion
- 48:54Speaker 3: two billion three. You've seen this JP Morgan, unbelievable building
- 48:58Speaker 3: that opened up on Park Avenue. Two billion dollar skyscraper. Well,
- 49:02Speaker 3: now they're going to do a second one. They want
- 49:03Speaker 3: to do a second one. Rumor is they're going to
- 49:06Speaker 3: take the Roosevelt Hotel and put it there. So all
- 49:09Speaker 3: these big top real estate guys wouldn't be spending this
- 49:12Speaker 3: money if they weren't confident. In New York, let's go
- 49:15Speaker 3: to Rob in Franklin Square. Rob, how you doing pretty good?
- 49:18Speaker 12: Mark?
- 49:19Speaker 2: How are you?
- 49:21Speaker 3: I like a peppy guy. That's very good. Are you
- 49:23Speaker 3: a salesman? You sound like a salesman?
- 49:25Speaker 2: No, I'm retire transit cop. I miss Michael Goodwin on
- 49:30Speaker 2: with you? Is he still with the station?
- 49:31Speaker 12: I know you said he had some health problems before.
- 49:33Speaker 3: He was just a little under the weather. He'll be
- 49:36Speaker 3: back with us soon. We hope he's able to write
- 49:37Speaker 3: his column but God bless him. Yeah, yeah, great, the
- 49:40Speaker 3: greatest columnist. Yeah, hopefully he'll be back with us soon.
- 49:43Speaker 3: Thanks for Colin. Let's go to Jim in New Jersey. Jim,
- 49:46Speaker 3: how you doing good? Wait a minute, Jim, are you there. Yeah,
- 49:49Speaker 3: go ahead, Yeah.
- 49:51Speaker 12: This is kind of sad.
- 49:52Speaker 4: Mark.
- 49:52Speaker 12: Nobody mentioned this. January third was the end of in ere.
- 49:58Speaker 12: Ninety seven year old Sydney Kybrick died. Who Sydney Kybrick?
- 50:04Speaker 3: Who's that?
- 50:04Speaker 12: He was the last the last little Rascal. He just
- 50:08Speaker 12: died January third, Not our gang that came later. The
- 50:12Speaker 12: last little Rascal died, Sydney Kybrick. He gave up acting
- 50:16Speaker 12: in nineteen forty three, eighty two years ago.
- 50:18Speaker 3: And which little rascal was Sydney Kybrick?
- 50:23Speaker 12: He was His brother was in it too. You recognize
- 50:26Speaker 12: his brother Moore, but he was not a big one,
- 50:28Speaker 12: but he was. They short of picture of him. He
- 50:30Speaker 12: was definitely him. So there you go, Mark, the last
- 50:34Speaker 12: little Rascal is gone. Kybrick ninety seven.
- 50:37Speaker 3: Mark, you gotta be honest. It's not the most exciting thing.
- 50:39Speaker 3: I mean, not the most exciting thing in the world.
- 50:42Speaker 3: But you know, out there in California, I got this
- 50:45Speaker 3: actor's home, like it's an old age home for actors.
- 50:48Speaker 3: If you go in there, you do recognize people. They're
- 50:51Speaker 3: all ninety two, ninety eight, but you recognize them. You
- 50:55Speaker 3: know it's a character actress. This guy was in twelve
- 50:58Speaker 3: different sitcoms. This guy was in love American style. You
- 51:00Speaker 3: recognize this guy used to be on game shows. Let's
- 51:03Speaker 3: go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing, Good.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Morning, Mark, I'm okay. Mark, speaking about the danger of
- 51:10Speaker 2: changing these psychotrophic drugs. Mid course, I have a friend
- 51:15Speaker 2: whose girlfriend's son was taking these and I say, was
- 51:20Speaker 2: taking these psychotropic drugs, and like Rob Reiner's kid, doctor
- 51:25Speaker 2: changed his drugs. And there's a true story about fifteen
- 51:29Speaker 2: years ago, right out in Little Odessa. He jumps in
- 51:33Speaker 2: front of the d train out in Brighton Beach and
- 51:38Speaker 2: because he was feeling all weeded out by these drugs. Mark,
- 51:41Speaker 2: I personally believe that no protesting should be done either
- 51:47Speaker 2: directly in front of the entrance to the houses of
- 51:51Speaker 2: worship or on the opposite side of the street because
- 51:55Speaker 2: people could still hear the nasty insults. Most of these
- 52:00Speaker 2: protests Arab groups or wacky liberal groups protesting against the
- 52:07Speaker 2: Jewish people. You've never seen Jewish people going in front
- 52:11Speaker 2: of mosques and protesting probably one of the reasons. One
- 52:16Speaker 2: of the reasons are they're not that type of people.
- 52:20Speaker 2: They're very inture and they're educated people.
- 52:23Speaker 3: They keep they're nuts, but they're not nuts.
- 52:26Speaker 2: But this antime that happens, that's what they should do.
- 52:30Speaker 2: They should go in front of the biggest mosque, which
- 52:33Speaker 2: I believe is up in Harlem and protest, right.
- 52:36Speaker 3: Yeah, they you don't want them to that crazy too. Now,
- 52:38Speaker 3: this protesting is the most awful anti Semitism. You know
- 52:43Speaker 3: a lot of these people claim, well, we're not anti Cem,
- 52:45Speaker 3: we're just anti Israel. Well that's anti Semitic, it's exactly yeah,
- 52:48Speaker 3: And they say exactly the same thing.
- 52:50Speaker 2: They say the terrible things about the Jewish people, that
- 52:54Speaker 2: Hitler should have done this, and this one should have
- 52:57Speaker 2: done that. Let's let's see him for how to if
- 53:00Speaker 2: the shoe was on the other foot out I could
- 53:03Speaker 2: take it. Yeah, how they would take it. You don't
- 53:05Speaker 2: see that. You don't see what kids with yamaka is
- 53:08Speaker 2: in the front of the mosque. You might see him
- 53:11Speaker 2: in Times Square as a counter protest. You never hear
- 53:14Speaker 2: on the radio. Oh we'll looked at for a robber.
- 53:18Speaker 2: The kid had him pay us, which wearing a yamaka
- 53:21Speaker 2: and he was running.
- 53:22Speaker 3: You don't see not on the street crime in that group.
- 53:25Speaker 3: You're absolutely vincent. Good call. Thanks for calling. You gotta
- 53:28Speaker 3: give the Palestinians credit for one thing. They have somehow
- 53:31Speaker 3: convinced the world that they're the minority, which is a
- 53:34Speaker 3: little ridiculous. I mean, they're part of the Arab world,
- 53:36Speaker 3: which is certainly not a minority. It's the Jewish population
- 53:40Speaker 3: that is the oppressed minority here and historically has been
- 53:43Speaker 3: for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. Hey, when
- 53:48Speaker 3: we come back, Charlie Gasprino will be with us. We'll
- 53:50Speaker 3: talk to him in a moment. Oh, by the way,
- 53:52Speaker 3: I meant to mention Minnesota. There is one thing interesting.
- 53:55Speaker 3: There's a GoFundMe for the woman that was killed, Renee Good,
- 54:00Speaker 3: and it raised three million dollars. They shut it down
- 54:03Speaker 3: because they said that's all they wanted to raise for
- 54:05Speaker 3: her kids. They raised three million. It was about sixty
- 54:09Speaker 3: five thousand donors they raised it. They've shut it down.
- 54:12Speaker 3: And there's one for the cop. His name is Jonathan Ross,
- 54:16Speaker 3: the ice agent. There's a gofund me for him if
- 54:18Speaker 3: you want to contribute. Bill Ackman just gave ten thousand
- 54:21Speaker 3: dollars to it. So far, they've raised I think three
- 54:23Speaker 3: hundred and fifty thousand, but just google go fund Me
- 54:27Speaker 3: Jonathan Ross and you can donate to that cop and
- 54:31Speaker 3: help him out when we come back. Charlie Gasparino, the
- 54:34Speaker 3: best business reporter in the world. Coming up next on
- 54:37Speaker 3: seven to ten. Wor did Mark on Demand by setting
- 54:42Speaker 3: a preset for his podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 54:46Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Simone on wr Well.
- 54:49Speaker 3: Charlie Gasparino, the best business reporter on Earth. You can
- 54:53Speaker 3: see him on the Fox Business Network. Read all of
- 54:55Speaker 3: his columns New York Post and make sure you get
- 54:58Speaker 3: his books. And if you're the few people on Earth
- 55:00Speaker 3: it hasn't read his last book, Go Woke, Go Broke.
- 55:03Speaker 3: It's must reading. Go get the book Go Woke, Go
- 55:07Speaker 3: Broke by Charlie Gasprino. Charlie, how you doing? No, Mark? Uh?
- 55:14Speaker 3: You know that book book, Go Woke, Go Broke. A
- 55:19Speaker 3: lot of people in Minnesota might need to read that book.
- 55:21Speaker 3: Don't you think, Oh my god?
- 55:22Speaker 10: What I never thought the place was that insane?
- 55:26Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 55:26Speaker 10: You know, I mean it literally is if you I mean,
- 55:30Speaker 10: I mean, obviously we're getting a one sided view of
- 55:33Speaker 10: just a protesters, but it looks like it's ground zero
- 55:37Speaker 10: for some of the most bizarre, freaked out emotionally disturbed
- 55:41Speaker 10: people in the world that have nothing better to do
- 55:43Speaker 10: but to protest. Just think about it, Like, you get
- 55:46Speaker 10: up in the morning and I'm like, there's you have
- 55:48Speaker 10: nothing better to do. You don't have to go to
- 55:50Speaker 10: a job. You you know, you even before you take
- 55:53Speaker 10: care of your kids, you go out, you make time
- 55:55Speaker 10: to protest. I mean, think about that. I mean you
- 55:59Speaker 10: would think, by the way, we should point out that.
- 56:03Speaker 10: You know, I keep reading, well, this country was based
- 56:05Speaker 10: on protests against against the little against government. I was like, well,
- 56:11Speaker 10: not really. I mean, you know, the guy that's like
- 56:14Speaker 10: president ran He was duly elected. He won a landslide
- 56:20Speaker 10: from the from the electoral college. Uh, and he won
- 56:25Speaker 10: by a couple of million votes in the unpopular vote.
- 56:28Speaker 10: But he ran on cracking down on immigration. How is
- 56:32Speaker 10: this like an uprising against tyranny? The guy ran on this. Yeah,
- 56:37Speaker 10: And so I think, you know, the and the media
- 56:39Speaker 10: just plays into this stuff. I mean, you know, are
- 56:43Speaker 10: we supposed to really think that the green and orange
- 56:47Speaker 10: color colored hair colored people screaming at ice agents are
- 56:53Speaker 10: normal human beings?
- 56:55Speaker 3: Yeah? But the question are they insane or is it
- 56:57Speaker 3: just these universities and college have been indoctrinating them for
- 57:02Speaker 3: the last twenty years indoctrination. And also they just spoiled brats.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Is that all it is.
- 57:07Speaker 10: Yeah, it's a combination of world above. They're spoiled brats,
- 57:10Speaker 10: They're insane, I mean, you know, I mean, they got
- 57:14Speaker 10: nothing going for themselves. And you know, I mean just
- 57:18Speaker 10: think if you were a complete loser and you wanted
- 57:22Speaker 10: to make it on TV, you can go to a protest,
- 57:25Speaker 10: and you know, the media is also willing to give
- 57:28Speaker 10: them credence that this is some somehow a populist revolt
- 57:33Speaker 10: of the masses, when it's a vocal, freaky minority. And
- 57:38Speaker 10: I just thought, I think we've got to put this
- 57:39Speaker 10: in context. Who these people are. They're causing a lot
- 57:42Speaker 10: of problems in certain places, but they are a far
- 57:46Speaker 10: they are a vast, like a very small minority of
- 57:50Speaker 10: the population, and most people don't do this that even
- 57:54Speaker 10: most liberals don't do this. Let's be real clear here.
- 57:59Speaker 3: Yeah, if you're built Clinton kind of common sense, middle
- 58:02Speaker 3: of the road, kind of a Democrat, what do you
- 58:03Speaker 3: think he thinks watching this, what happened to his party?
- 58:06Speaker 10: I mean he I mean, it's really just flushing everything
- 58:09Speaker 10: that he did down the drain, which was kind of
- 58:12Speaker 10: return the party to something halfway decent, normal and uh
- 58:17Speaker 10: and and successful by the way legislatively and both politically.
- 58:21Speaker 10: I you know, listen, you know the Republicans might lose
- 58:25Speaker 10: the mid terms kind of the way mid terms grow go.
- 58:28Speaker 10: But I don't know how do how do you uh
- 58:33Speaker 10: does a party survive this?
- 58:35Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 58:35Speaker 10: You know, you know a freak Just think if you're
- 58:38Speaker 10: the party of the freak show, because it really is
- 58:42Speaker 10: a freak show. If you take a look at these.
- 58:44Speaker 3: People, uh yeah, then those ring women, Yeah.
- 58:48Speaker 10: Those rings but just just the way they act is
- 58:51Speaker 10: just not how normal people act, particularly in public. Do
- 58:55Speaker 10: you want to do that in in your house?
- 58:57Speaker 4: Go for it, But I mean in public.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Hey, Charlie Gastrino, you're the best business reporter on earth.
- 59:04Speaker 3: What's going on Warner Brothers Discovery, Paramount's guidance. Is anything
- 59:08Speaker 3: going to happen there?
- 59:09Speaker 10: Well, I mean, listen, it's kind of along the lines
- 59:11Speaker 10: that we reported, and it happened today. I reported that
- 59:15Speaker 10: they were gonna there's a something known inside of Paramount
- 59:19Speaker 10: as death con one. They think they have a much
- 59:22Speaker 10: superior bid and they're gonna sue and today they announced
- 59:28Speaker 10: that there's gonna be a lawsuit. I really think that.
- 59:33Speaker 10: I mean, this is this is a great story on
- 59:35Speaker 10: so many levels that it's it's hard to really like
- 59:37Speaker 10: sort of just sort of encapsulated, give you a Cliffmoe version.
- 59:41Speaker 10: But you know, this is a big company called Warner Brothers.
- 59:44Speaker 10: It has the Jack Warner Studio, it has the HBO
- 59:48Speaker 10: Max streaming service, and there's a binning war. And you
- 59:52Speaker 10: know what's interesting about it is that one of the
- 59:55Speaker 10: bidders involves Paramunt's guid Dance that wants to bring, from
- 59:59Speaker 10: a political standpoint, very centrist programming to everything, including CNN.
- 1:00:03Speaker 10: You know, CNN is part of the purchase. There's another
- 1:00:06Speaker 10: one that just wants it's called Netflix, that just wants
- 1:00:11Speaker 10: the streaming and studio, and you know, could create a
- 1:00:15Speaker 10: monopoly of streaming, which isn't the greatest thing in the
- 1:00:18Speaker 10: world by combining the number one streamer that they have
- 1:00:22Speaker 10: with the number three streamer which Warner Brothers has. So
- 1:00:26Speaker 10: there's a lot of interesting issues here, both politically consumer wise.
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: I can't tell you how this is going to end up.
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: Right now, Warner Brothers wants the Netflix, did Paramount is
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: trying to upend it and doing all it can by
- 1:00:42Speaker 10: making arguments both the shareholders. It's gone hostile by doing so.
- 1:00:48Speaker 10: My my, my, I guess my My best device is
- 1:00:51Speaker 10: keep reading my coverage in the New York Post because
- 1:00:54Speaker 10: I cover it basically day by day.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Yeah, he's the best on the subject in New York Post.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: Or make sure you fall him on Twitter too, one
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: of the best tweeters out there. Uh hey, Charlie Gasprino,
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: you talked to all the business leaders. What's the what
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: are they thinking about mom Donnie after the first week.
- 1:01:10Speaker 10: I mean they're scared. I mean he's just a nightmare.
- 1:01:14Speaker 10: I mean he really is everything that you do, all
- 1:01:17Speaker 10: your worst fears is what he is. He's a communist
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: and and and a guy that's you know, I left
- 1:01:24Speaker 10: this communist, which is both Marxism in an economic sense
- 1:01:28Speaker 10: and cultural Marxism in you know DEI and you know,
- 1:01:33Speaker 10: anti Israel. And he's really anybody that helped this guy
- 1:01:38Speaker 10: get elected, either tacitly or explicitly by if they didn't
- 1:01:44Speaker 10: oppose him as streendly, as strenuously enough in many ways,
- 1:01:50Speaker 10: has you know, I don't want to say blood because
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: that's an overstatement. But you know, has A has a
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: has a lot of explaining to do, because he really
- 1:01:59Speaker 10: is is bad as we thought he is, and everybody
- 1:02:01Speaker 10: knew it, and it's it's it's it's actually frightening to me.
- 1:02:09Speaker 10: There's no other, by the way, there's no other, you know,
- 1:02:12Speaker 10: there's a way to fight back against this, and that's
- 1:02:14Speaker 10: called like you move out.
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: We don't want to do that. But some people think
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: he's kind of kind of Deblasio like him, that he's
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: a lot of talk, there won't be a lot of action.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: He won't actually do much of anything. You think that's possible.
- 1:02:25Speaker 10: Now there's already talking about doing it. I mean they're
- 1:02:29Speaker 10: already he's doing it. He's planning to do it. He's
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: got all sorts of plans, he's got all sorts of
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: people in place, he's got hope, acquies and because the
- 1:02:39Speaker 10: state let because you know, they believe Democratic Party has
- 1:02:42Speaker 10: gone so far left that she'll give in. So I mean,
- 1:02:45Speaker 10: this is, this is bad stuff, and it's it's going
- 1:02:48Speaker 10: to get worse. And again, anybody who either tacitly or
- 1:02:52Speaker 10: explicitly supported this guy, or you know, made it easier
- 1:02:56Speaker 10: for him to get in there, has a lot of
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: exploited to do. As far as i'm this is not
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: a good thing.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: Okay, but you wrote the book, Go Woke, Go Broke
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: the left from Mom Donnie to Minneapolis, going so far
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: to the left. Isn't your book going to hold up
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: the Go Woke, Go Broke. Eventually they'll have overplayed their
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: hand and it'll all come cles.
- 1:03:15Speaker 10: Play their hands. But look, Minneapolis is Minneapolis right now.
- 1:03:19Speaker 10: I mean, it's a it's a it's it's it's worrisome
- 1:03:23Speaker 10: for the Look, what's going on there is understandable, but
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: it's going to happen there, and it could happen here.
- 1:03:34Speaker 10: That doesn't mean it's going to happen in ninety nine
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: percent of the country, which it won't. As a matter
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: of fact, quite the opposite's going to happen. There's a
- 1:03:40Speaker 10: revolt against that. But make no mistake about it, Minneapolis
- 1:03:45Speaker 10: is where New York is going, and it's going there
- 1:03:48Speaker 10: because we elect the type of people that's gonna that
- 1:03:51Speaker 10: want to bring it there. And you know, once they
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: get in office, it's hard to get them out and
- 1:03:56Speaker 10: they do what they I mean, listen, so Montdommie's all talk.
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: Shuman Dominie all talk when Jacob Fry is not all talk.
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: He I mean the people, the leaders of Minneapolis, of
- 1:04:08Speaker 10: the elective officials have really have really destroyed that state
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: and that city in particular. That city is unlivable unless
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: you're like a lunatic lefty that just wants to indulte
- 1:04:19Speaker 10: in riots and protests all day. I mean, it's really
- 1:04:23Speaker 10: an unlivable place. So again, I say, anybody that enabled
- 1:04:27Speaker 10: this guy, either tacitly or explicitly, his got explained to do.
- 1:04:32Speaker 10: Because this guy is gonna reak havoc on the city.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: Well, I want to thank you for cheering us up
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: this morning. Everybody. Get the book. It's one of the
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: best books ever written. Woke, Go Broke. It's Charlie Gasprino's book.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Get the book, Go Woke, Go Broke. Make sure you
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: follow him on Twitter, watch him on Fox Business, read
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: his columns in The New York Post. Nobody better Charlie Gasprino,
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Thanks for being with us. Talk soon, all right, Take care, Hey,
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: don't forget coming up at noon. Buck Sexton and Clay

- 1:05:05Speaker 3: then at three. It's the most listened to radio show
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: in America, Sean Hannity. Then it's Jesse Kelly at six
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: every night, and you got to try out if you
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: haven't heard it yet, Jimmy Fayla has become a hot
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: new show here. Jimmy Fayla, the Great Comedian, the great
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: talk show host, is on every night nine to midnight
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: right here on seven ten WR.
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: Marximo Issues you really care about on seven ten WR.
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: Well, Hey, Elizabeth Warren wants to lead the Democratic Party.
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: She's not really thinking of running in twenty twenty eight,
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: but she wants to lead the party to the progressive whatever. Anyway,
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: She's doing a fiery speech today at the National Press Club.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: She's pushing this as a major, major event, her new
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: speech proposal. This is going to be it for the Democrat.
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: But apparently in Democratic world, Elizabeth Warren and doesn't mean
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: much anymore. They don't take her seriously. They saw her
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: get no place in the last election and the one
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: before that, so they're not taking her too seriously now
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: with this big thing today, normally you'd be on Rachel
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Maddow tonight at nine o'clock. Nope, they didn't invite her,
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: all right, But then maybe you'd be on Jen Zaki
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: at eight o'clock. Now they didn't invite her. She is
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: going to be on Lawrence O'Donnell at ten o'clock. That's
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: like a very that's low on the totem pole. A
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: big demotion for Elizabeth Warren. Hey, we're out of time.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: I'm here every day ten to noon, or you can
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: listen any time you want. Just get the podcast wherever
