- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:32Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:36Speaker 2: Trade Trendholme and Raj Sharma, fresh off of shows in Houston.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Glad to have you back inside the Treehouse. Mister Sharma,
- 0:44Speaker 2: Thank you sir. Also, while we're on the topic, let's
- 0:48Speaker 2: go ahead and point out that you're going to stay
- 0:50Speaker 2: in Houston and any Treehouse listeners in the Houston area
- 0:54Speaker 2: should be making plans for Wednesday night if they don't
- 0:56Speaker 2: already have them with you right, Yes, I believe we're
- 1:01Speaker 2: close to sold out. I'm not sure.
- 1:03Speaker 3: I know people were trying to buy tickets last night
- 1:05Speaker 3: that were in line, like waiting for the meet and
- 1:07Speaker 3: greet with the buddy Adam Ray.
- 1:11Speaker 2: They could not purchase tickets, so to where the Houston
- 1:15Speaker 2: improv there you go, Okay.
- 1:19Speaker 3: So yeah, they couldn't buy tickets. So I don't know
- 1:22Speaker 3: if that was preferred seating that sold out, or if
- 1:25Speaker 3: the show in general is sold out.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Worst case scenario, just hover around the door and try
- 1:30Speaker 2: to sneak in somewhere and catch. Raj. Yeah, I'll fitch
- 1:34Speaker 2: in somewhere that sounds triable. You can try out of
- 1:40Speaker 2: intriloquous act with a listener. Just sit here and move
- 1:44Speaker 2: your mouth when I stick my hand up your button.
- 1:46Speaker 2: There you go. All right, Let's begin today with something
- 1:50Speaker 2: that you missed, Raj on the tree House Plus episode
- 1:53Speaker 2: on Patreon. On our tree House Plus episode on Patreon,
- 1:59Speaker 2: Trey and I discussed a dark room hidden in Greece
- 2:04Speaker 2: for god knows how many years, and it is covered
- 2:09Speaker 2: floor to ceiling with spiders. And so I posed this
- 2:15Speaker 2: question on social media. Are you ready? Here we go?
- 2:21Speaker 2: You get one billion dollars if you can spend the
- 2:25Speaker 2: night in here alone. Could you do it? The room
- 2:29Speaker 2: I'm talking about is the one that researchers discovered what
- 2:32Speaker 2: appears to be the world's largest spider web.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Ugh.
- 2:38Speaker 2: This is in a pitch black cave in Greece. Scientists
- 2:42Speaker 2: found a stinking sponge spider web one hundred and eleven
- 2:47Speaker 2: thousand species of spiders, including two that were thought to
- 2:51Speaker 2: be hostile towards one another. They even show cutting away
- 2:55Speaker 2: the web that it reveals several layers underneath. So my
- 3:02Speaker 2: question holds Raj could you spend the night in this
- 3:08Speaker 2: cave for one billion dollars with one hundred eleven thousand spiders,
- 3:14Speaker 2: just you and just them.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Yeah, spiders don't bug me, Like, I'm not scared of
- 3:20Speaker 3: spiders at all.
- 3:21Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing. Whether you're phobic or not about spiders.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Spending the night in a gas filled cave with one
- 3:28Speaker 2: hundred eleven thousand of them, I think you'll become phobic.
- 3:32Speaker 2: They're at the very least, they're going to be annoying.
- 3:36Speaker 3: So I I only had roommates in college one time,
- 3:43Speaker 3: and I moved in to their place and I woke
- 3:46Speaker 3: up the first day, woke up and this one should
- 3:49Speaker 3: have been a sign. I woke up and there was
- 3:52Speaker 3: a spider in my mouth, A dead spider in my mouth.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Okay, So now imagine one hundred eleven thousand of them
- 3:59Speaker 2: trying to get in there all at the same time.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm okay with it.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Now, Okay, hold on, because if they like are they poisonous?
- 4:07Speaker 3: Because if some of the some of them bite you,
- 4:09Speaker 3: like you can have like a brown recluse or something
- 4:12Speaker 3: like that.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Like yeah, yeah, I don't know. The the video that
- 4:16Speaker 2: that we played that shows the cave and one hundred
- 4:19Speaker 2: eleven thousand spiders filling it. We don't know if they're
- 4:23Speaker 2: venomous or not. They're just in there. Yeah, gotcha, Yeah,
- 4:28Speaker 2: I think I could do it, Trey, What about you?
- 4:32Speaker 2: For one billion dollars, kid, could you spend the night
- 4:34Speaker 2: in this spider cave in Greece for.
- 4:37Speaker 1: A billion dollars?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:38Speaker 1: I I For a billion dollars, I could do just
- 4:40Speaker 1: about anything.
- 4:43Speaker 2: I don't think I clearly Trey's open for business. I'll
- 4:51Speaker 2: let just you know what, Trey's got a good point.
- 4:53Speaker 2: He may let one hundred eleven thousand of just about
- 4:56Speaker 2: anything inside of him for a billion dollars. He's our
- 4:59Speaker 2: Bonnie Blue.
- 5:05Speaker 1: You get a billion dollars, A can afford a lot
- 5:07Speaker 1: of therapy, and B you can disappear.
- 5:12Speaker 2: You know what? That makes sense? I guess for a
- 5:14Speaker 2: bill for that amount of money, Trey would Trey would
- 5:18Speaker 2: pull a Scrooge McDuck into a pile of dicks, so
- 5:26Speaker 2: the spiders would be easy. What's say? I can't unsee
- 5:29Speaker 2: that now? You'll never watch that show the same way again.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I don't think I could. I mean, I would love
- 5:37Speaker 2: to say I tried. Look, I'll be honest, I would try,
- 5:40Speaker 2: Like you said, Trey, I would try just about anything
- 5:43Speaker 2: if you offer me a billion dollars. I don't know
- 5:46Speaker 2: if I could spend the night in that spider cave.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But you have a fear of spiders, right, I mean
- 5:54Speaker 2: it's not like a phobia thing. But I don't want
- 5:56Speaker 2: them crawling on me. Okay, I don't want one crawling
- 6:01Speaker 2: on me, let alone one hundred eleven thousand of them.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Now the one caveat of that is if they
- 6:06Speaker 1: are highly poisonous like brown recluse or then no, I
- 6:12Speaker 1: don't not for certain death.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Your next of ken will get a billion dollars.
- 6:25Speaker 3: So no, yeah, yeah I want the billion.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I'm with Tray on that one.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Like if they're yeah, like black widows or you know,
- 6:35Speaker 3: like we're saying, like like things that can literally kill
- 6:39Speaker 3: you that right there?
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Uh no, Yeah, if this cave was in Australia, no,
- 6:45Speaker 1: because I'm just gonna assume that's automatic death.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah. God, can you imagine what a what a death
- 6:53Speaker 2: cave in Australia would look like because Australia is out
- 6:55Speaker 2: in the open about everything that wanted to kill you.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Imagine something finding imagine finding something hidden. How bad that
- 7:02Speaker 2: must be.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean they have jellyfish that are the
- 7:06Speaker 3: size of your like pinky nail that can kill you
- 7:09Speaker 3: in Australia.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just I'm actually really surprised that you guys
- 7:16Speaker 2: would would do this for a billion dollars. Yeah. Yeah,
- 7:23Speaker 2: I've done a lot worse for a lot less. I
- 7:30Speaker 2: know you're in Houston right now, exactly, I'm not, you know,
- 7:34Speaker 2: for a billion dollars. I'm not sure if i'd rather
- 7:36Speaker 2: be in Houston or inside that spider filled cave.
- 7:39Speaker 3: I don't even know whose room this is, but he
- 7:46Speaker 3: seems nice.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Please tell me his name is Charlotte. Mister Charlotte. He's
- 8:03Speaker 2: not answering, Oh man, I yeah, I can't.
- 8:11Speaker 3: I know I've had your wife, can Your wife wouldn't
- 8:14Speaker 3: be able to do it, right, Like, she's got a
- 8:17Speaker 3: huge phobia of like crickets and roaches and stuff like that.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Right, roaches, Yes, there's no way she could she could
- 8:24Speaker 2: do that in a room. I'm not I'm not sure
- 8:26Speaker 2: she could spend the night in a room with one
- 8:28Speaker 2: roach for a billion dollars. Really, yeah, that is how
- 8:33Speaker 2: bad she is, Like she is like a lot of
- 8:35Speaker 2: people will say they're phobic about things when they're really not.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Tara really is, in real life actually phobic when it
- 8:42Speaker 2: comes to roaches. Did I tell you about the time
- 8:44Speaker 2: I had to come home from work to save her
- 8:46Speaker 2: from one? No, Luckily for her. It was when I
- 8:49Speaker 2: lived only like five minutes from the radio station. But
- 8:53Speaker 2: it was middle of the days, like around lunchtime, and
- 8:56Speaker 2: Tarah calls me, which was very rare, like she's calling
- 8:59Speaker 2: me at work, so something must be wrong. And I
- 9:02Speaker 2: answered and she's like, you have to come home. There's
- 9:03Speaker 2: a roach. You have to come home. There's a roaches.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I'm like, what what? Trying to gather all the information
- 9:09Speaker 2: being thrust upon me, It's like, okay, I got it.
- 9:12Speaker 2: I was like, okay, do you know where it is?
- 9:14Speaker 2: She's like yeah, I was able to get a cup
- 9:15Speaker 2: on it or something. It's like okay. So I go
- 9:18Speaker 2: down elevator, parking garage, car, drive home and she is
- 9:23Speaker 2: sitting on the edge of the bed. This our apartment
- 9:25Speaker 2: at the time, the open bedroom door could look into
- 9:30Speaker 2: the open bathroom door and you could see sitting on
- 9:34Speaker 2: the edge of the bed with her knees to her chest,
- 9:37Speaker 2: staring at this cup. I think it was a Dicky's
- 9:39Speaker 2: cup that she was able to put over the top
- 9:43Speaker 2: of this roach in the bathroom, and she did not
- 9:48Speaker 2: move her eyes from it the entire time until I
- 9:53Speaker 2: got there to remove the roach.
- 9:58Speaker 3: What happened when she was growing up? Like, what happened?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Something had to triggered this.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I agree. I think something did happen, But I don't
- 10:07Speaker 2: want to ask her because I feel like at this
- 10:10Speaker 2: point I don't want to open up that old wound.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Or perhaps she has repressed it to such a level
- 10:16Speaker 2: that she doesn't even remember it. It's just in her
- 10:18Speaker 2: subconscious to be that afraid of roaches, so that's definitely
- 10:23Speaker 2: a trauma. I don't want to explore. If she has
- 10:25Speaker 2: repressed it to the point to where she doesn't remember it,
- 10:28Speaker 2: I think it's best to let it stay forgotten.
- 10:32Speaker 3: I'm that way with wasps, like I don't first of all,
- 10:34Speaker 3: I don't understand what they're for, Like, they don't do anything,
- 10:37Speaker 3: They don't contribute to anything.
- 10:39Speaker 2: You're talking about the winged flying insects, not the white
- 10:46Speaker 2: I mean growing up in mis Guie, you have reasons
- 10:48Speaker 2: to be afraid of wasps.
- 10:50Speaker 3: I was allergic to wasp. I wouldn't be on this show.
- 10:56Speaker 3: There's two staring at me right now. No. When I
- 11:01Speaker 3: was a kid, I was attacked by my buddy AJ
- 11:04Speaker 3: lived next door. Here's my best friend, God rest his soul,
- 11:07Speaker 3: but he like there was a huge wasps nest and
- 11:12Speaker 3: he knocked it down with a broom And I remember
- 11:14Speaker 3: going next door and just like ringing the doorbell and
- 11:17Speaker 3: his sister answered.
- 11:18Speaker 2: I was like, h here, and she's like, no, he's
- 11:20Speaker 2: on the side of the house.
- 11:21Speaker 3: So I start walking to the side of the house
- 11:23Speaker 3: and I only hear is run and I get attacked
- 11:28Speaker 3: by like a swarm of wasps to my ear. And
- 11:32Speaker 3: my mother luckily was outside and she was watering the
- 11:36Speaker 3: lawn so she had the hose out, so she actually
- 11:39Speaker 3: got to be like, hose me down.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Wow.
- 11:42Speaker 3: But after that, like, I can't if I see a wasp,
- 11:45Speaker 3: I'll freak out.
- 11:48Speaker 2: So I know where my trauma comes from. Yeah, yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 2: the the closest I have to That is a dream
- 11:54Speaker 2: I had as a kid. And this is another great
- 11:57Speaker 2: example of how weird my brain is. Okay, I remember
- 12:01Speaker 2: a dream I had as a kid when I was
- 12:02Speaker 2: like five. This is a dream I remember being at
- 12:06Speaker 2: my grandmother's house in Tulsa. At the time. I'm outside
- 12:10Speaker 2: in the driveway playing and a car pulls up in
- 12:12Speaker 2: the cul de sac and the car doesn't even stop,
- 12:16Speaker 2: but the passenger door just opens, and out of it
- 12:19Speaker 2: crawls a massive spider, like big tarantula spider that just
- 12:24Speaker 2: jumps out of this moving car like it's the fast
- 12:27Speaker 2: and furious, running directly at me. And it was so
- 12:31Speaker 2: terrifying I woke up. But the point is is that
- 12:36Speaker 2: dream shook me so hard at the age of five
- 12:39Speaker 2: that forty one years later, I still remember it like
- 12:42Speaker 2: I had the dream five minutes ago. Wow.
- 12:52Speaker 1: You know what surprises me with Tara is because I
- 12:54Speaker 1: used to be really afraid of roaches, But after years
- 12:59Speaker 1: of working in the service industry, which anytime you have
- 13:02Speaker 1: food around, you're going to see roaches like you just
- 13:05Speaker 1: become immune to it. Rats not so much. I like
- 13:11Speaker 1: rats bother me deeply.
- 13:19Speaker 2: I hope they don't bother you deeply, hopefully not too deep.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Just a tip.
- 13:32Speaker 4: You're in the treehouse, visit us online at Treehouse on
- 13:36Speaker 4: air dot com.
- 13:38Speaker 2: Let's talk to Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration
- 13:43Speaker 2: eight three three cook DFW to get your free roof
- 13:45Speaker 2: inspections scheduled, or to get a quote on an interior
- 13:49Speaker 2: or exterior home project that they are capable of doing.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Eight three three cook DFW Daniel. You're on roofs every
- 13:55Speaker 2: single day. You're in people's homes every single day outside
- 13:59Speaker 2: doing all sorts of projects. Any unseen consequences of the job.
- 14:04Speaker 5: Coming every day is a special day in my life.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Sometimes it's smashing your hand in the ladder. Sometimes it's
- 14:10Speaker 5: picking up buckets of debris or something like that and
- 14:15Speaker 5: stepping on a nail.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 14:16Speaker 5: You know, it's worked hazards. You know that's as common.
- 14:20Speaker 5: But yesterday I was on a commercial project and actually
- 14:23Speaker 5: was trying to get an inspection passed by the city,
- 14:27Speaker 5: and the installers of the fire sprinkler system missed a
- 14:30Speaker 5: couple of places where they had to add the piping
- 14:34Speaker 5: going through the tilt walls, and you have to fire
- 14:38Speaker 5: block those holes after their cut to prevent you know, obviously,
- 14:42Speaker 5: fire from spreading the one side of the building to
- 14:44Speaker 5: the other. And the canister that I was spraying unfortunately
- 14:49Speaker 5: backfired on me and it got that spray foam all
- 14:51Speaker 5: over my hand, and so my hand looked like it
- 14:55Speaker 5: was a solid orange puff of like like those orange
- 14:58Speaker 5: puffs that you eat, except up it won't come off.
- 15:01Speaker 5: And now now I'm still having to scrape the stuff
- 15:05Speaker 5: off physically. And then my hand was tacky. I couldn't
- 15:09Speaker 5: touch anything for like an hour because it would leave
- 15:11Speaker 5: a residue. So I was trying to drive home single
- 15:14Speaker 5: like opening my door, drive with the home with one
- 15:17Speaker 5: hand while keeping this hand somewhat in the air, trying
- 15:21Speaker 5: to make sure I don't touch anything. So yep, day
- 15:23Speaker 5: to day fun things that happened in the field.
- 15:25Speaker 2: So you glazed your fingers.
- 15:27Speaker 5: They look like orange glaze.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yep, I'm guessing they don't taste like it.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Accidentally got that. I was trying to gnaw a piece
- 15:36Speaker 5: off and I accident got it. It tastes like WD
- 15:38Speaker 5: forty mm.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Despite those little consequences, Daniel is outstanding at his job
- 15:44Speaker 2: in very thorough. So thorough did he spray that phone
- 15:48Speaker 2: that he got his own hand, so his hand is
- 15:50Speaker 2: now flame. Retard give him a call. He'll make sure
- 15:53Speaker 2: your home and your property are an outstanding shape. Eight
- 15:55Speaker 2: three three Cook DFW or the website cookdfw dot com.

- 16:19Speaker 2: called Daniel Cook today eight three three Cook DFW. That's

- 16:25Speaker 2: out some of their fine and outstanding work Cook dfw
- 16:29Speaker 2: dot com. Thank you to our sponsors Cook cookdfw dot com.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Thanks Daniel Andcerrey. Uh Trey, you are in a new relationship.
- 16:38Speaker 2: How long have you and your girlfriend been together? Now?
- 16:43Speaker 2: Six seven weeks? How long have you and your mother
- 16:51Speaker 2: been around fifty one years and some change. Will your
- 16:58Speaker 2: new girlfriend ever meet your mother? No? Well really why?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Because my mother is a horrible person and would not
- 17:12Speaker 1: only will she not meet my mother, I don't will
- 17:14Speaker 1: not even tell my mother I'm in a relationship because
- 17:18Speaker 1: I know that will uh be a catalyst for her
- 17:22Speaker 1: to just absolutely drive me thatshit crazy.
- 17:26Speaker 2: You don't want to give your mother any more ammunition
- 17:29Speaker 2: for anything to ruin your life?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Well, I just I have a very long track record
- 17:35Speaker 1: of knowing that when I am in a relationship, my
- 17:37Speaker 1: mother will even though I can't stand her, she feels
- 17:43Speaker 1: threatened by it and then wants to see if she
- 17:45Speaker 1: can monopolize my time and call me, you know, just
- 17:49Speaker 1: come up with the dumbest things to try to take
- 17:51Speaker 1: up my time. Now as years have passed, I have,
- 17:55Speaker 1: I have. When I was younger, I didn't really realize
- 17:58Speaker 1: this pattern and so it created problems. But I'm now
- 18:02Speaker 1: old enough to know better. But no, In fact, I've
- 18:05Speaker 1: already told Brandy. I was like, you will probably never
- 18:08Speaker 1: meet my mother.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Ever. Was she okay with that? Was she kind of relieved?
- 18:15Speaker 2: I don't.
- 18:15Speaker 1: I mean, I've told her enough that yeah, probably, But
- 18:18Speaker 1: I mean she at least understands that it's.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Nothing good will come of it.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I don't want, you know, I don't like the holidays
- 18:27Speaker 1: because my mother ruined them, and uh like, so I've
- 18:31Speaker 1: explained to her, especially with everything going on with her
- 18:35Speaker 1: right now and the fact that she has now run
- 18:37Speaker 1: out of money and I have to figure stuff out,
- 18:40Speaker 1: I know she's gonna make this last these last. This
- 18:43Speaker 1: year's holiday is absolutely miserable. So I'm like, it's not personal.
- 18:49Speaker 1: I'm like, and thank God, my saving grace with a
- 18:53Speaker 1: lot of this is my stepmother. You know, has been
- 18:56Speaker 1: around long enough that she she's the one person who
- 19:00Speaker 1: can say, you know, yeah, if I hadn't seen it,
- 19:02Speaker 1: I wouldn't believe this either.
- 19:03Speaker 2: But it's that left up. And keep in mind, Trey's
- 19:08Speaker 2: stepmom is the one that wanted Trey's stepmom is the
- 19:12Speaker 2: one that would rub ground beef on the car when
- 19:15Speaker 2: they would go to the Lion Country Safari, not because
- 19:19Speaker 2: she wanted Trey dead, but because she wanted to help
- 19:21Speaker 2: get a good show for the boy. If Trey's mom
- 19:25Speaker 2: was rubbing, or how about this, if Trey's mom had
- 19:28Speaker 2: a package of ground beef at Lion Country Sofari, she
- 19:30Speaker 2: would rub it on Trey. Say, George Wild rub it
- 19:35Speaker 2: on her as well, adult Trey would do that. Yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 2: Trey's idea of a place for mom is different than
- 19:44Speaker 2: what the commercial says. Very I mean, I can think
- 19:56Speaker 2: of it. I could think of a number of places
- 19:59Speaker 2: that would have a bit of a slant where Trey
- 20:02Speaker 2: would prefer to leave his mother where most people are
- 20:05Speaker 2: told that they're supposed to do with theirs. Interesting, okay,
- 20:11Speaker 2: and she's okay with that. So so.
- 20:14Speaker 3: She's gonna do the holidays by herself. I guess because
- 20:17Speaker 3: you don't you don't want it. She has family, uh,
- 20:20Speaker 3: you know, around here, and so.
- 20:25Speaker 1: I just explained to her the situation I'm gonna I
- 20:27Speaker 1: was pretty upfront about it on the front end, like
- 20:30Speaker 1: I don't ever want you to I I now have
- 20:34Speaker 1: you know, fifty years of data to go. I don't
- 20:39Speaker 1: need you. You know, you're not missing out anything by
- 20:42Speaker 1: not ever meeting my mom. Yeah, and there's no no best.
- 20:48Speaker 1: The best thing that comes out of it is a
- 20:51Speaker 1: neutral outcome, but the chances are it's a very negative outcome.
- 20:54Speaker 1: It's like, why why screw things up?
- 20:57Speaker 2: Yeah, and that makes sense. Why mess with it? And
- 20:59Speaker 2: I'm with you. I do think it's interesting because I'm
- 21:03Speaker 2: sure that there's some women that might see it differently,
- 21:07Speaker 2: that might see it as, ooh, this is a red flag.
- 21:09Speaker 2: He's got a you know, a bad relationship with his
- 21:12Speaker 2: mom or whatever. Uh. That was actually one of the
- 21:15Speaker 2: things that bonded me and Tarror together was difficult relationships
- 21:21Speaker 2: with our mothers. And instead of instead of that being
- 21:24Speaker 2: a red flag in her eyes, it was it was
- 21:28Speaker 2: a green flag. Huh. So at the end of the day,
- 21:32Speaker 2: it's all about you know, just kind of finding your
- 21:34Speaker 2: person whoever you are compatible with. Whereas you Raj, you
- 21:41Speaker 2: had you know, you have a different You had a
- 21:43Speaker 2: different relationship with your mother than the trade does with his.
- 21:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we got to be friends a few
- 21:50Speaker 3: years before she passed away. But growing up, you know,
- 21:54Speaker 3: she suffered from severe PTSD from being the war in India.
- 21:59Speaker 3: She was stabbed in both k needs by Pakistani soldiers
- 22:02Speaker 3: and left to die and all this stuff. So she
- 22:05Speaker 3: was horribly abusive and didn't remember anything. And it was
- 22:11Speaker 3: actually the improv in Addison is she came out with
- 22:14Speaker 3: a bunch of her girlfriends and I did this joke
- 22:17Speaker 3: about getting my ass kicked within with an extension cord
- 22:22Speaker 3: and she's like, you can't tell that joke. That's that
- 22:23Speaker 3: didn't happen. I was like that, I can pick it out.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I know exactly which extension court in the garage it is.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Let's go Homember.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah, And she like, I remember coming back home the
- 22:34Speaker 3: next day to have lunch with her, and she was
- 22:36Speaker 3: still sitting in the same spot, the same clothes from
- 22:40Speaker 3: the night before, and she's like, I remember remember everything now,
- 22:43Speaker 3: I'm so sorry. And then we became friends so we
- 22:46Speaker 3: would go have lunch like three or four times a week.
- 22:49Speaker 3: But prior to that note, prior to that, we absolutely
- 22:52Speaker 3: had no relationship at all. Like my dad would have
- 22:55Speaker 3: to call me in college and be like, can you
- 22:56Speaker 3: please call your mother?
- 22:59Speaker 2: You haven't talked to her weeks. Here, I'll give you so.
- 23:05Speaker 1: At one point, I was in seventh grade and I
- 23:08Speaker 1: went to the school counselor to talk about something, and
- 23:11Speaker 1: she noticed that I had welts on my leg from
- 23:15Speaker 1: where my mother had taken a phone cord. If you're
- 23:19Speaker 1: probably under forty, may not remember that, But a phone cord,
- 23:22Speaker 1: the phone cord that went from the wall to the
- 23:24Speaker 1: actual phone ray then.
- 23:27Speaker 2: A straight one uh huh and uh with absolutely zero
- 23:31Speaker 2: give yeah, and my mom had beaten the crap out
- 23:34Speaker 2: of me with one the night before, where I had
- 23:37Speaker 2: welts all over my leg.
- 23:39Speaker 1: Well, the school counselor saw this and obviously had to
- 23:44Speaker 1: do something about it, as as they do.
- 23:48Speaker 2: And something say something.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Yeah, she had to call CPS and everything else. To
- 23:54Speaker 1: this day, my mother will blame me for having CPS called.
- 24:00Speaker 3: On Woh, yeah, that is next level. See here's how
- 24:06Speaker 3: gangs to. My mom wants She's like, you want to.
- 24:07Speaker 3: I was like, I'll call CPS. She's like, I'll die
- 24:10Speaker 3: the number. Oh no, that was my dad. My dad
- 24:13Speaker 3: was like, yeah, oh okay, yeah, he goes. That's fine,
- 24:17Speaker 3: he goes because here's the thing. I'll get out sooner
- 24:20Speaker 3: or later. That's what I'm coming back home, all right.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Mother was a nurse, she was a caregiver.
- 24:33Speaker 2: That's actually that actually could then I might actually be
- 24:35Speaker 2: the worst possible scenario, because that means she could heal
- 24:38Speaker 2: you and then and then hurt you all over again,
- 24:41Speaker 2: just in a horrible cycle.
- 24:42Speaker 3: Oh.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I used to ask her all the time.
- 24:43Speaker 3: I'm like, are you this meat, Like to like, are
- 24:46Speaker 3: you do you treat your patients like you treat me?
- 24:48Speaker 3: Because I would hate to go to your hospital.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah. So look, I don't mean to one up you guys.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I know we're sharing some severe mother issues and trauma,
- 24:58Speaker 2: but I feel compel to rise. Your mom beat you
- 25:02Speaker 2: with electrical cord, tray, your mom beat you with the
- 25:05Speaker 2: straight phone cord, the one that went from you know,
- 25:07Speaker 2: the phone to the wall. My mom actually beat me
- 25:11Speaker 2: with an electrical pole, went outside, ripped it right out
- 25:14Speaker 2: of the ground and just beat me. Stupid. It was
- 25:21Speaker 2: so bad. It was even written into an episode of
- 25:24Speaker 2: Highway to Heaven and Michael Landon gave up halfway through.
- 25:36Speaker 2: What a weird way to reference Highway to Heaven it was.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I loved that show. I thought to myself when I
- 25:47Speaker 2: would watch that show, I wish he'd walk by my house.

- 27:10Speaker 2: All right, here we go, last little bit here inside
- 27:13Speaker 2: the treehouse. I believe it was last week now. Last week,
- 27:18Speaker 2: Texas Governor Greg Abbot announced he will go for a
- 27:23Speaker 2: fourth term as governor of Texas. The announcement is, of
- 27:27Speaker 2: course not a surprise, but the headline that CBS used
- 27:32Speaker 2: on TV last week certainly was because the chiron across
- 27:36Speaker 2: the bottom of the screen reads Governor Greg Abbot to
- 27:40Speaker 2: run for fourth term. If we're being honest, it can't
- 27:55Speaker 2: really be mad at CBS eleven for staying Greg Abbott
- 27:59Speaker 2: is running for a term, especially when his campaign slogan
- 28:03Speaker 2: is let's roll It's just too good. So obviously he's
- 28:16Speaker 2: aware if he's using the campaign slogan let's roll with
- 28:21Speaker 2: I appreciate the font of that being in italics, as
- 28:25Speaker 2: if to show motion forward. It is common for news
- 28:31Speaker 2: stations to say someone is running for election or re election.
- 28:35Speaker 2: But obviously Greg Abbott hasn't run anywhere since that tree
- 28:38Speaker 2: landed on him so many years ago when he was running.
- 28:42Speaker 3: While running, Yeah, you know how big of an a
- 28:46Speaker 3: hole you have to be for God to throw a
- 28:48Speaker 3: tree at you.
- 28:51Speaker 2: He didn't throw it at him. He just uprooted it.
- 28:56Speaker 3: I mean, the next thing you should do is buy
- 28:59Speaker 3: a lottery ticket, because the odds of getting hit by
- 29:01Speaker 3: a tree.
- 29:03Speaker 2: The moment that you run under it, it is small. Yeah,
- 29:09Speaker 2: it is very very small. Yeah. But as Trey helped
- 29:15Speaker 2: helped me with this, because you're a political science expert
- 29:18Speaker 2: here inside the treehouse. I before this, before this, Governor
- 29:23Speaker 2: Abbott running for his fourth term. Before this, I thought
- 29:26Speaker 2: that Texas had a term limit on governor. I thought
- 29:28Speaker 2: it was like three. But I guess there's not.
- 29:32Speaker 1: There's not, And yeah, I'm kind of with you. I
- 29:35Speaker 1: kind of thought I thought there was one too, but
- 29:38Speaker 1: there there is not. Because the last time I even
- 29:41Speaker 1: remember someone going, Perry had taken over for Bush and
- 29:48Speaker 1: then ran two more times, and I kind of thought
- 29:52Speaker 1: that was it for him.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Uh yeah, no, yeah, yeah, I'm surprised that there's no
- 29:57Speaker 2: there's no term limit for governor of Tech. So I
- 30:01Speaker 2: am actually very curious to see what Abbot will prioritize
- 30:06Speaker 2: in his fourth term, especially on the heels of the
- 30:10Speaker 2: successful campaign to get those dangerous rainbows out of the crosswalks,
- 30:16Speaker 2: standing up for the people. Really, Trey, I expect more
- 30:22Speaker 2: out of you. You're the resident Republican in here. You're
- 30:27Speaker 2: the republican. RAJ is the bleeding heart liberal, and I'm
- 30:31Speaker 2: the even killed independent. Mm hmm okay, on the independent.
- 30:44Speaker 2: We agree on more things Dan than than the train.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I agree on. The thing is though, that I'm really
- 30:52Speaker 2: curious is in his fourth term, is Governor gonna take
- 30:56Speaker 2: his war on rainbows to another level? Like? You know
- 31:05Speaker 2: what this actually? I think this could actually be a treehouse.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Top five The top five rainbow related things Governor Abbott
- 31:11Speaker 2: will get rid of in his fourth term as governor?
- 31:15Speaker 2: All right?
- 31:17Speaker 1: Uh?
- 31:19Speaker 2: Number one, No more Rainbow care Bear. Oh cares too much,
- 31:24Speaker 2: get rid of it. It's it's it's it's a furry
- 31:28Speaker 2: and doctrinator. That's what the Rainbow care Bear is got
- 31:31Speaker 2: to get rid of. That. Also, no more hits by
- 31:33Speaker 2: the band Rainbow. That's just too dangerous. That's too much fun.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Can't be singing rainbow songs. Also, no more skittles because
- 31:42Speaker 2: they want you to taste the rainbow, and well we
- 31:45Speaker 2: know what that means. Also, is there a deal in
- 31:49Speaker 2: place with the leprechaun so we can't get his lucky
- 31:52Speaker 2: charms because they're at the end of a rainbow. I
- 31:57Speaker 2: thought it was a pot of gold at the end
- 32:00Speaker 2: of a rainbow, right, yeah, that too. Whatever, it's a
- 32:03Speaker 2: rainbow in there and it's on it's on a kid cereal.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I assume Abbot is against it, because then that's just
- 32:09Speaker 2: a doctrination. Owes, it's little Gaye charms.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I figured you were gonna go ahole different direction and
- 32:21Speaker 1: he was just gonna send ice for the leprechauns.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Well, it depends on what color they are secure that border. Yeah.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Also in his fourth term, I assume Governor Abbott will
- 32:37Speaker 2: absolutely positively disallow reading rainbow sorry LeVar Uh. In fact,
- 32:43Speaker 2: no more rainbows at all of any kind anywhere for
- 32:47Speaker 2: any reason in the state of Texas, including the sky.
- 32:50Speaker 2: If you see a rainbow, or god forbid, a double rainbow,
- 32:54Speaker 2: that's when you call ice trade. Okay, you can show
- 32:59Speaker 2: up and they can they can zip cuff the rainbow
- 33:03Speaker 2: and haul it off to rainbow Alcatraz. Oh Greg Abbits,
- 33:15Speaker 2: God bless Texas.
- 33:18Speaker 3: I do like so like you see him in the
- 33:20Speaker 3: in the picture, like he's looks like he's standing, like
- 33:22Speaker 3: he's got the wheelchair that does that like lifts him up,
- 33:25Speaker 3: like to he looks like he's standing, doesn't.
- 33:28Speaker 2: I've never seen that, always sawt he's just in his
- 33:30Speaker 2: normal chair. Yeah.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I thought there was just a short I mean, I
- 33:32Speaker 1: hate to say it, a very short electern.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Which like it actually like stands him up, so he
- 33:39Speaker 3: looks like he's standing.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Oh, I know exactly what we were talking about. My
- 33:43Speaker 2: My uncle Milford had one of those Milford I've told
- 33:48Speaker 2: you about him before. He was the one who was
- 33:50Speaker 2: married to my great grandmother Glick, the racist with the
- 33:52Speaker 2: thin lips.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Your uncle was, Uh no, Dan, I think we we
- 34:03Speaker 1: we haven't.
- 34:05Speaker 2: We haven't talked about this one. Uh I'm confused. What
- 34:10Speaker 2: are you talking about. Your uncle was married to your
- 34:14Speaker 2: great grandmother. That's just what we called him. I don't
- 34:17Speaker 2: know why she He was like her third husband. And
- 34:22Speaker 2: you know what, look you guys, I'm adopted. I didn't
- 34:25Speaker 2: choose this family. I didn't want to go to Pittsburgh,
- 34:28Speaker 2: Texas as a kid. It was thrust on me, kind
- 34:33Speaker 2: of like the incontinence that uncle Milford suffered from because
- 34:38Speaker 2: of the motorized scare would stand him up, it just
- 34:40Speaker 2: come running down his leg side.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Effects of inbreeding.
