- 2:30Speaker 1: let's get into the first call.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 2:32Speaker 3: The Firson one we have is from Ashley, Hello raccoon friends.
- 2:37Speaker 3: My name is Ashley and I am reporting from a
- 2:39Speaker 3: dumpster outside of Detroit, Michigan. I just wanted to say
- 2:44Speaker 3: mostly my topic has to do with like the patriarchy
- 2:47Speaker 3: that is baked into the religion that they have. You know,
- 2:51Speaker 3: from the inception of the show, they talked about how
- 2:53Speaker 3: they didn't, you know, practice the same kind of polygamy
- 2:57Speaker 3: and it's not the same as a lot of these
- 3:01Speaker 3: other systems. And even with the divorces, Janelle was saying
- 3:04Speaker 3: how Cody kept bringing up, you know, patriarchy and this
- 3:09Speaker 3: and that, and how that was never a part of
- 3:11Speaker 3: their marriage before. But they're all liars and either they're
- 3:15Speaker 3: just deceiving themselves or they've been trying to deceive us
- 3:17Speaker 3: from the beginning because patriarchy is baked into this religion
- 3:22Speaker 3: and their thought process. And it was because of the
- 3:25Speaker 3: patriarchy and Cody being able to be a quote unquote
- 3:30Speaker 3: priesthood holder and a voice box for God within their
- 3:34Speaker 3: family's system that he was able to get I will say,
- 3:37Speaker 3: four beautiful wives in their prime and he pissed it
- 3:42Speaker 3: all up. But that's another thing also Cody talked about
- 3:47Speaker 3: and I know I'm going off of this, but Cody
- 3:49Speaker 3: talked about how he asked for release from Mary and
- 3:52Speaker 3: he was not allowed to have it, and a lot
- 3:53Speaker 3: of people have gone back and forth, but he didn't
- 3:56Speaker 3: say when he asked for it. Maybe he asked for
- 3:59Speaker 3: it before where Robin came in the family and that's
- 4:01Speaker 3: why the rings were melted.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That's it. Oh my god, she dropped a bomb on
- 4:09Speaker 1: that lass did part. Wow? Do we think that Cody
- 4:13Speaker 1: would have asked for a spiritual release from Mary after
- 4:16Speaker 1: Robin came into the family.
- 4:18Speaker 2: That would have been crazy, But he would have had
- 4:19Speaker 2: to get a divorce from her too at the same time,
- 4:22Speaker 2: which he could have legally done. But I guess I
- 4:26Speaker 2: don't know why they wouldn't grant him a release. I mean,
- 4:29Speaker 2: if we're to believe Cody Brown, like did he actually.
- 4:32Speaker 1: Ask for I don't believe him at all.
- 4:34Speaker 2: And like would they have granted him one if he
- 4:37Speaker 2: did ask? Like, I don't know. I mean, with how
- 4:39Speaker 2: patriarchal their religion actually is, I feel like they would
- 4:43Speaker 2: have given him the release, But.
- 4:44Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Maybe I'm talking on my ass.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I mean, but doesn't Cody say that men aren't allowed
- 4:49Speaker 1: to ask for it. It's got to be the woman,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and like the woman has to kind of initiate, yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 1: the relationship, and also it's got to be the woman
- 4:55Speaker 1: to conclude it. Who knows, Do you know anybody in
- 4:57Speaker 1: the aub who can let us know how how the
- 5:00Speaker 1: rules work. At the end of the day, I don't
- 5:03Speaker 1: trust Cody. I don't believe much of what he has
- 5:06Speaker 1: to say. I do think it was very patriarchal, but
- 5:09Speaker 1: I think Cody, I do believe, at least in the beginning,
- 5:12Speaker 1: that Cody wasn't your typical patriarch of a family. Like
- 5:17Speaker 1: he was gone a lot, and you know, the wives
- 5:20Speaker 1: were taking care of the kids. But like he seemed
- 5:22Speaker 1: kind of like a fun dad. He did want all
- 5:24Speaker 1: of his wives around him. He seemed to be fair
- 5:28Speaker 1: in like spending his time with his wives. I don't know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: he just didn't seem like that stoic fatherly priest of
- 5:35Speaker 1: a family.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Yeah, And I mean even in the earlier seasons, like
- 5:38Speaker 2: a lot of the wives could attest to that and
- 5:40Speaker 2: say said that they were independent, that they could have
- 5:44Speaker 2: their own decisions, make their own decisions, that they weren't
- 5:48Speaker 2: like obligated to follow Cody's rules or anything. Like they
- 5:52Speaker 2: were individual people, they had power, they had autonomy in
- 5:55Speaker 2: the family, so the wives would speak to that. Now
- 5:58Speaker 2: we could debate about that all day, every day day,
- 6:00Speaker 2: about whether or not that was true or whatever. But
- 6:03Speaker 2: I don't think Cody was like a patriarch or like
- 6:06Speaker 2: an oppressive patriarch from the beginning, but became one. He
- 6:10Speaker 2: definitely became one. And maybe like Robin kind of fanned
- 6:13Speaker 2: the flames for that, maybe, I mean, just to fuel
- 6:16Speaker 2: his ego and stuff and puff him up a little bit, right,
- 6:19Speaker 2: And maybe that's why he was getting fed up with
- 6:22Speaker 2: like having to manage everything. I don't fucking know.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You know, And like let's just face the fact of it,
- 6:26Speaker 1: Like this entire religion centers men. Yeah, And so even
- 6:30Speaker 1: if they thought they were independent in the beginning or
- 6:32Speaker 1: at any time, do they even know what independence is?
- 6:36Speaker 1: If you grew up and through this religion or like
- 6:39Speaker 1: a fundamentalist branch of this religion, like you really wouldn't
- 6:41Speaker 1: know what independence is because you've never experienced.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It well, And like a big tenet of this religion
- 6:47Speaker 2: is like only the men can get like gospel from
- 6:49Speaker 2: God or whatever, and like they're the only ones that
- 6:52Speaker 2: can be priests, and they're the only ones that could
- 6:54Speaker 2: be church leaders and stuff like that. So like, how
- 6:56Speaker 2: can you really feel like you have power that's like
- 7:00Speaker 2: the religion and the structure that you were grown up
- 7:03Speaker 2: you grew up in.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe through playing girl games, which I
- 7:07Speaker 1: think Robin definitely knows how to do.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely good call though, Ashley. Yeah, thank you, Ashley.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So the next one's a two parter and it's from Denise, Hi,
- 7:17Speaker 2: B and D.
- 7:17Speaker 4: It's a raccoon out here in California. My name's Denise.
- 7:22Speaker 4: I just had to let have some steam from this
- 7:24Speaker 4: episode because I just felt like I was having like
- 7:28Speaker 4: secondhand embarrassment for some reason. I like wanted to watch
- 7:31Speaker 4: the episode with like one eye closed, kind of like,
- 7:34Speaker 4: oh my god, these people are so like oh but yeah,
- 7:39Speaker 4: My biggest takeaway from that was or from the episode, sorry,
- 7:43Speaker 4: was Mary Girl, speak up, like take your power back,
- 7:49Speaker 4: Like we don't need you to like blow up and
- 7:51Speaker 4: like curse him or anything, but just speak your truth
- 7:54Speaker 4: and speak like you know, with power and you know,
- 7:59Speaker 4: tell the truth. And I don't know, I'm just like Okay,
- 8:03Speaker 4: Robin and Cody are obviously lying. I mean, I feel
- 8:06Speaker 4: like maybe Janelle did the backdoor deal whatever, maybe like
- 8:11Speaker 4: it kind of sounds like she's kind of one foot in,
- 8:13Speaker 4: one foot out kind of thing, you know, Like I
- 8:15Speaker 4: know she wants to get her money, so like, you know,
- 8:17Speaker 4: like I can respect that, like you know, but like
- 8:20Speaker 4: and you know, I just feel like too, like it's
- 8:23Speaker 4: just like they're trying to play this up so bad,
- 8:25Speaker 4: just like the same thing from what two seasons ago
- 8:28Speaker 4: where Cody was talking about getting back with Mary and
- 8:32Speaker 4: Christine denied it or something, you know.
- 8:34Speaker 1: What I mean.
- 8:35Speaker 4: But like it's just like what like I just I
- 8:39Speaker 4: just hate them.
- 8:40Speaker 3: I hate them.
- 8:41Speaker 4: That's all I can really say.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Yeah, so let's just address the things that she said
- 8:46Speaker 1: that I can recall, because I will forget some of
- 8:48Speaker 1: like personally with regard to Mary and her I'm not
- 8:52Speaker 1: sure when she called was so is this after their
- 8:54Speaker 1: meeting at the picnic table or was this after the
- 8:57Speaker 1: first tell all? Does this this is after the tell all?
- 8:59Speaker 1: So okay, so agreed, So during the tell all, I
- 9:01Speaker 1: really think it should have been Mary that was speaking
- 9:04Speaker 1: up for how she felt and what's been done to
- 9:06Speaker 1: her versus Jen. But I also think that it's going
- 9:11Speaker 1: to take time. After being a part of this repressive
- 9:16Speaker 1: family structure for thirty three years, it's going to take
- 9:19Speaker 1: some time for her to maybe incrementally be able to
- 9:22Speaker 1: say something with her full chest and to experience the
- 9:25Speaker 1: indignation fully. Like I think she's probably still in denial
- 9:32Speaker 1: to a certain extent, certainly as it concerns the other
- 9:34Speaker 1: OG wives that have left the family, like Christine and Janelle. Like,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I think she's still got baggage and sit around that.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And I also think she's probably still in some denial
- 9:42Speaker 1: around Cody and certainly Robin. So as she becomes more
- 9:46Speaker 1: aware of what's truly been done to her, like, maybe
- 9:50Speaker 1: she will form the ability to express that in a
- 9:55Speaker 1: way that I want to hear it right now, Like
- 9:57Speaker 1: I wish she would do more, but like I do
- 9:59Speaker 1: think she's probably doing the best that she can. That's
- 10:02Speaker 1: my charitable interpretation of what's going on with Mary.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but that doesn't negate the fact that it is
- 10:07Speaker 2: frustrating as the viewers to like watch this constantly, because
- 10:11Speaker 2: we've all been watching twenty seasons of this show of
- 10:14Speaker 2: Mary like constantly self sacrificing for not only Cody, but
- 10:19Speaker 2: for Robin and everybody else, and like not speaking her
- 10:22Speaker 2: full truth, not sitting in the full weight of that,
- 10:26Speaker 2: and like all of the feelings around it, and like
- 10:28Speaker 2: constantly going back to Cody. So like it's totally frustrating
- 10:31Speaker 2: to watch, but it is a process that she's she might.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Not even know the full truth. Maybe she might not
- 10:37Speaker 1: be conscious to like what has actually happened to her
- 10:40Speaker 1: because she's been indoctrinated into a culty religion and she's
- 10:43Speaker 1: been indoctrinated and integrated into this fucked up, problematic family.
- 10:48Speaker 1: And so she's still she only left a couple years ago, right,
- 10:51Speaker 1: so she's still in the process of like waking up, deconstructing. Really, yes,
- 10:55Speaker 1: and that's why maybe give her a little bit of
- 10:58Speaker 1: charity as it concerns her commentary about Janelle and doing
- 11:03Speaker 1: that to backdoor deal. You know how I feel about it. Yeah,
- 11:06Speaker 1: I totally feel that she did it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I do agree with like the notion of her one
- 11:10Speaker 2: foot in, one foot out type of a thing. I
- 11:12Speaker 2: don't really think that she did a full on or
- 11:15Speaker 2: tried to do a full on backdoor deal. I do
- 11:17Speaker 2: think she was trying to secure her bag though, And
- 11:19Speaker 2: can we really blame her for that.
- 11:21Speaker 1: No, no, we cannot. But I also think she probably
- 11:25Speaker 1: signed an NDA, and if she did that, that's a thing,
- 11:27Speaker 1: that's kind of a bitch move.
- 11:29Speaker 2: So bagi.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Yes, I was watching, well, sorry, I was watching my
- 11:32Speaker 1: take on reality with my friend Jakes. We love we
- 11:36Speaker 1: love James very much, but he was talking about what
- 11:38Speaker 1: we were talking about around this whole NDA problem and
- 11:42Speaker 1: issue like why are we having cast members try to
- 11:46Speaker 1: bind other cast members regarding current storylines that the audience
- 11:51Speaker 1: is actually invested in? Like why are we allowing them
- 11:53Speaker 1: to do that? And if we do allow them to
- 11:55Speaker 1: do that, and if Janelle has actually signed this NDA,
- 11:58Speaker 1: well then you are fucking up the entire franchise. Nobody's
- 12:02Speaker 1: gonna want to watch a curated, sanitized version of these
- 12:06Speaker 1: absolutely diabolical villains. We want to see it all, we
- 12:10Speaker 1: want to know it all, and so production had better
- 12:12Speaker 1: get their.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Head out of their ass.
- 12:14Speaker 2: They won't. They don't give a shit about us.
- 12:17Speaker 1: They really don't, all.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Right, Part two of Denise's message.
- 12:22Speaker 4: Hey it's Denise again. I'm so sorry. I just had
- 12:25Speaker 4: more to add because I just feel like it's just
- 12:27Speaker 4: aggravating me so much that I just had more to
- 12:29Speaker 4: say about Mary not saying anything. I think it's like
- 12:34Speaker 4: ridiculous that she is like basically silencing herself to like
- 12:39Speaker 4: make it thing like, Oh, I'm nice and I'm trying
- 12:41Speaker 4: to be a good person and I don't want to
- 12:43Speaker 4: make myself look bad on TV. Whatever. If you tell
- 12:46Speaker 4: the truth and you have integrity, like I feel like
- 12:49Speaker 4: that's all that would matter to us. But also it's
- 12:53Speaker 4: like you didn't want to send an inn D because
- 12:55Speaker 4: you didn't want them to silence you. You're silencing yourself by
- 13:01Speaker 4: not wanting to you know, look like crazy or whatever.
- 13:05Speaker 4: But it's like, girl, just just sign the end day
- 13:08Speaker 4: then if you don't want to say nothing, Like that's
- 13:10Speaker 4: crazy to me. I was literally thinking about that in
- 13:12Speaker 4: the shower, like, oh my gosh, this episode got me
- 13:14Speaker 4: so messed up. I'm just like tired of Sister Wives now.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I don't know what it is, like I thought it
- 13:18Speaker 4: was gonna be like blown away. I don't know, but
- 13:21Speaker 4: I just feel so angry. Oh.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I mean she makes a good point of like you're
- 13:26Speaker 2: gonna talk about the NDA and not wanting to be silenced,
- 13:28Speaker 2: but then you're literally silencing yourself and not saying anything,
- 13:32Speaker 2: and then you're gonna go on TikTok and like post
- 13:34Speaker 2: passive aggressive videos about like how you're not gonna spill
- 13:37Speaker 2: the tea because other people are spilling the tea and
- 13:40Speaker 2: that's like beneath you and you know you've moved on
- 13:43Speaker 2: and you don't want to say anything, like I don't know.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I think she makes a good point with that.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I would agree, And I think what's pissing her often
- 13:50Speaker 1: certainly the rest of us, is just this lack of authenticity.
- 13:53Speaker 1: And she mentions Mary intentionally trying to appear nice or
- 13:59Speaker 1: trying to be the favorite ex wife is something that
- 14:02Speaker 1: we've also kind of said about her, like she wants
- 14:04Speaker 1: to appear that way because I think that she's concerned
- 14:10Speaker 1: about her image and probably her businesses Worthy Up and
- 14:13Speaker 1: Lularou and all of that, Like she can't look like
- 14:15Speaker 1: an absolute mean girl or a doormat, and she's been
- 14:20Speaker 1: a doormat for a really long time with Cody Brown.
- 14:24Speaker 1: And I think underneath, like the veneer of what we
- 14:27Speaker 1: see with Mary Brown, we do have somebody who's got
- 14:29Speaker 1: some personality issues. Like I do think she has a
- 14:33Speaker 1: tendency to be cruel and means certainly if we believe
- 14:36Speaker 1: some of the things that Christina said and what the
- 14:38Speaker 1: kids have said about Mary. Yeah, and there's not a
- 14:41Speaker 1: lot of talk about how she has changed, how she's
- 14:47Speaker 1: going to do better. I mean, she seems happy. I'm
- 14:50Speaker 1: happy for her. I just don't I don't know that
- 14:53Speaker 1: she has it within her to be direct and full
- 14:57Speaker 1: of integrity and transparent. I just don't know that she
- 15:00Speaker 1: knows how to do it. And part of that is
- 15:02Speaker 1: because maybe there's some issues with their personality. And the
- 15:04Speaker 1: other part of that is she's very concerned about her image,
- 15:06Speaker 1: and she should be, because they think she's a mean
- 15:08Speaker 1: person underneath at all.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Oh, totally, and honestly, to your point, I don't think
- 15:12Speaker 2: any of these people can really be fully authentic or
- 15:15Speaker 2: fully honest because they've been on TV for fifteen something years,
- 15:19Speaker 2: so like you've they've become like a different version of themselves.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Like we're not going to know the real versions of
- 15:26Speaker 2: who these people are, and like maybe we're not really
- 15:29Speaker 2: entitled to that because these are real people with like
- 15:31Speaker 2: real families and stuff, and they don't want to air
- 15:33Speaker 2: out all their dirty business and stuff like that, and
- 15:35Speaker 2: I get it, but it's just annoying when like you
- 15:38Speaker 2: have people like Mary who not only have the worthy
- 15:42Speaker 2: up business, but they constantly go on this like I'm
- 15:45Speaker 2: standing in my true.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Self righteous sanctimonious.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yes, it's so, it's so self righteous and it's so annoying. Like,
- 15:52Speaker 2: if you want to stand in your full truth, then
- 15:54Speaker 2: say it. If you don't want to be silenced, then
- 15:57Speaker 2: say what they wanted to silence you for, and.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Stop using proxy people to tell us what you want
- 16:03Speaker 1: us to hear, Like, just say it with your own mouth.
- 16:05Speaker 1: You're a big girl, you're in your fifties. You can
- 16:07Speaker 1: do it.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And you're divorced to like, it doesn't matter.
- 16:09Speaker 1: What does it cost you anyway?
- 16:10Speaker 2: And I guess I understand the point that you made
- 16:12Speaker 2: about like the businesses and stuff, but I'm just like,
- 16:15Speaker 2: I don't know. If you just set it all out
- 16:17Speaker 2: loud and you were authentic and you had integrity.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Like you have more business, oh my god, and you'd
- 16:22Speaker 1: have my respect as well.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Maybe people would pay for your stupid retreats.
- 16:25Speaker 1: Which currently don't have. Sorry, currently don't have that exactly.
- 16:30Speaker 2: So thank you, Denise about your messages. We definitely co
- 16:33Speaker 2: sign a lot of them. Next one is an anonymous raccoon.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I get scared.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Do you have to listen to it before?
- 16:38Speaker 1: No?
- 16:38Speaker 3: Are you sure?
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 16:39Speaker 1: I guess play it?
- 16:40Speaker 6: Okay, Yolo, Hey, B and D, it's Rachel again. I
- 16:43Speaker 6: called last week with my theory that Cody is primarily
- 16:45Speaker 6: doing this apology tour to get back in Robin's good graces,
- 16:49Speaker 6: and I agree with you, guys. It's probably not his
- 16:51Speaker 6: only aim in doing this, but I think it is
- 16:54Speaker 6: his primary aim. And the reason I think that is
- 16:57Speaker 6: because I've been binge watching a channel on YouTube hosted
- 17:01Speaker 6: by a couple that grew up with the Browns in
- 17:03Speaker 6: AUB and have since left. The female host is actually
- 17:07Speaker 6: the daughter of the current prophet of the AUB so
- 17:09Speaker 6: they have very deep insights into what's going on here,
- 17:12Speaker 6: and in their eyes, it's a foregone conclusion that Robin
- 17:16Speaker 6: is about to leave Cody, or that she at least
- 17:18Speaker 6: will leave Cody. They also seem to think that Cody
- 17:20Speaker 6: is aware of this, and that's why we're seeing him
- 17:23Speaker 6: kind of panic all the time about like is Robin,
- 17:26Speaker 6: can you love me? Can you be monogamous with me?
- 17:28Speaker 3: Etc?
- 17:29Speaker 6: So in their eyes, she's most certainly going to leave him,
- 17:33Speaker 6: and then recycle herself back into the Aub to join
- 17:36Speaker 6: a family that can let her get into the celestial kingdom.
- 17:40Speaker 6: I guess this happens all the time within this faith.
- 17:43Speaker 6: So if that were to happen, Cody would lose instantly
- 17:45Speaker 6: at least fifty percent of his marital assets. Three of
- 17:48Speaker 6: the five kids are not biologically his, so there's a
- 17:51Speaker 6: good chance he would lose access to many of his
- 17:53Speaker 6: children as well. And also, the only possible upside from
- 17:58Speaker 6: like a material point of Robin leaving would be like
- 18:01Speaker 6: that makes great television. But according to this couple, the
- 18:04Speaker 6: AUB would never allow her to keep filming, so the
- 18:07Speaker 6: show would also lose a star and a great storyline,
- 18:10Speaker 6: so there'd be like nothing left.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 18:16Speaker 1: But if that were true, why would the AUB have
- 18:19Speaker 1: let them film for the first ten to thirteen seasons
- 18:22Speaker 1: Because they were still part of the religion and active
- 18:24Speaker 1: in it, and presumably the AUB was okay with that.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Well, they weren't, like, they weren't happy about it, but
- 18:31Speaker 2: they did let them film.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Yeah, And Christine talks about in her book how like
- 18:35Speaker 1: she was doing those principal voices things with the Aub,
- 18:38Speaker 1: like twenty ten twenty eleven, twenty twelve, twenty thirteen, like
- 18:42Speaker 1: she was actively involved in it, So I don't I
- 18:44Speaker 1: don't know about that.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Oh my god. But could you see a world where
- 18:49Speaker 2: like Robin leaves to go join another family in the
- 18:51Speaker 2: aub just so she can get money. I mean, like,
- 18:54Speaker 2: for real, though, who would want to marry me?
- 18:56Speaker 1: You actually can't really see that I want to marry her, don't.
- 19:00Speaker 1: She doesn't strike me as somebody who's legitimately religious. I
- 19:06Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, that's because we see the dark sided
- 19:09Speaker 1: nature in the show. Like, I just don't see her
- 19:12Speaker 1: as somebody who's pursuing a divine cause or trying to
- 19:15Speaker 1: align herself with God. She seems like a diabolical, duplicitous
- 19:20Speaker 1: hag to me, who's willing to steal allegedly from women
- 19:23Speaker 1: and children and ruin lives and stuff so that she
- 19:26Speaker 1: can live in a poisonous, toxic house next to a
- 19:29Speaker 1: mine and have her bum ass kitchen at the expense
- 19:32Speaker 1: of everybody else. And so like, how is that reflective
- 19:35Speaker 1: of the Father in Heaven of the Mormon religion. I'm
- 19:38Speaker 1: just not seeing it. To me. If Robin leaves Cody,
- 19:42Speaker 1: she's going to try and glom on like some sort
- 19:45Speaker 1: of an opportunistic parasite to another man. Now, maybe he
- 19:48Speaker 1: might be a Mormon, maybe he might be in the
- 19:49Speaker 1: au B, but it's going to be about the bag.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It's going to be about the coins.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Well, and like if she did divorce him, don't you
- 19:57Speaker 2: have to take on half the debt too? Yes, like
- 19:59Speaker 2: when you divorce indeed, Like it's not like she would
- 20:02Speaker 2: get a ton of money. Maybe they have some money
- 20:05Speaker 2: liquid we don't know full coins and stuff.
- 20:07Speaker 1: We just made a video for Patreon discussing the seven
- 20:11Speaker 1: hundred and fifty thousand dollars home equity loan that Cody
- 20:15Speaker 1: and Robin took out against the New McMansion on December
- 20:18Speaker 1: thirty first, twenty twenty five, and we got the t
- 20:21Speaker 1: from Reality Squad Sarah Howes. Thank you for that. But
- 20:24Speaker 1: like we had a long conversation like how liquid are
- 20:27Speaker 1: they because we don't necessarily agree with Sarah in terms
- 20:29Speaker 1: of the money that they've had and what they've been
- 20:31Speaker 1: doing with it. But I don't think they've got a
- 20:33Speaker 1: lot of liquidity. I think they are entirely leveraged. They
- 20:37Speaker 1: have massive amounts of debt. I think they know that
- 20:40Speaker 1: Sister Wives is winding down, which is probably the primary
- 20:45Speaker 1: reason Cody went on this apology tour because he's got
- 20:47Speaker 1: to make amends with his other cast members, or what
- 20:50Speaker 1: kind of show are they going to be able to fill?
- 20:52Speaker 2: You're not going to have anything even then, Like, even
- 20:55Speaker 2: with the fake amends, it's not like any of them
- 20:57Speaker 2: are ever going to interact again, except for on the
- 20:59Speaker 2: one on ones where they're reacting to what other people
- 21:01Speaker 2: are saying about them. But like the show is not
- 21:04Speaker 2: really going to be like all of them together. It's
- 21:08Speaker 2: just gonna be TLC traveling to Utah and traveling to
- 21:11Speaker 2: North Carolina and traveling the flag staff and just filming
- 21:13Speaker 2: separate bullshit fucking scenes.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I do think it's really interesting curious that there might
- 21:22Speaker 1: already be rumblings that Robin is currently on her way
- 21:26Speaker 1: out and that Cody knows that and that he's scrambling.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It might have something to do with him wanting to
- 21:32Speaker 1: be like buff and strong and like make all of
- 21:36Speaker 1: these demonstrations of masculinity and also like I'll buy you
- 21:39Speaker 1: this house and we can have this seven hundred and
- 21:41Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars essential credit card leveraged against our house
- 21:46Speaker 1: that you can go buy all of your dolls and
- 21:48Speaker 1: your Decenzian village and Yourkhal's cardigans. I would give you
- 21:52Speaker 1: whatever you want if you'll just stay with me. But
- 21:54Speaker 1: like Robin, for all the things we could say about her,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I don't think she is untent. I think she's got
- 22:02Speaker 1: some Capricorn money energy somewhere in her zodiac because she
- 22:05Speaker 1: can see what's happening. She knows this is all going
- 22:07Speaker 1: to go away. How could she not. I'll get a
- 22:09Speaker 1: couple of dumb raccoons in a dumpster. Bit wigs see
- 22:12Speaker 1: this in her not well, so he probably at the
- 22:16Speaker 1: very least does have a sense that she's thinking about it.
- 22:19Speaker 1: I just thinking out what am I going to do?
- 22:20Speaker 1: I would because you're almost sixty, Cody Brown, and that
- 22:24Speaker 1: hair ain't haring anymore. And I'm thankful you went on
- 22:27Speaker 1: the Special Forces and you made a nice cool coin
- 22:29Speaker 1: that I then spent on at Sea dolls and their clothing.
- 22:32Speaker 1: But like what comes after Sister Wives is gone?
- 22:35Speaker 2: I mean, with our three income sources leaving us all
- 22:39Speaker 2: the same time, like what are we going to do?
- 22:42Speaker 2: I mean, like Janelle Marrion and Christine leaving like they
- 22:45Speaker 2: have no money coming in besides the show, so and.
- 22:50Speaker 1: You know, I'm not going to sit here or stand
- 22:52Speaker 1: here and tap on their financial grave because that is
- 22:55Speaker 1: unseemly and I'm a good person. But I'll just tell you,
- 23:01Speaker 1: taking the temperature of the audience, people are just waiting
- 23:04Speaker 1: for the day, honey. They're waiting for the day. I'm
- 23:07Speaker 1: waiting that all of this I can't wait crumbles at
- 23:10Speaker 1: their feet and it's going to it's going to.
- 23:13Speaker 2: How could it not? I mean, how can the wicked prosper?
- 23:17Speaker 1: Will you take it out? A seven hundred and fifty
- 23:18Speaker 1: thousand dollars? These people are so bad with money. Anyway,
- 23:21Speaker 1: if you're interested in our commentary, it's on our patreots,
- 23:23Speaker 1: go and watch it. Yeah, thank you for the call, though, Rachel.
- 23:27Speaker 1: I do love to hear your opinion on us.
- 23:29Speaker 2: So all right, next one we have is from another Rachel.
- 23:33Speaker 2: I'm not sure if it's the same one or can't.
- 23:35Speaker 6: Sorry to go over my time as I always do,
- 23:37Speaker 6: but if you want to check out the YouTube channel,
- 23:39Speaker 6: I think it's called Notes to Sell four four four.
- 23:42Speaker 6: They have such interesting insights. I, as an outsider, would
- 23:48Speaker 6: assume like X Y and Z would happen given the situation,
- 23:51Speaker 6: but I would be wrong, Like the morays and values
- 23:54Speaker 6: of this culture are so different than mainstream that us
- 23:58Speaker 6: talking about it from the outside we will get the
- 24:01Speaker 6: wrong conclusion. It's such a hierarchical system. It's so patriarchal.
- 24:06Speaker 6: There's something called like the priesthood, and I guess that's
- 24:08Speaker 6: all that seems to matter. It's so incredibly interesting. I
- 24:12Speaker 6: think the take that I found the most surprising is
- 24:15Speaker 6: that Robin and Cody are actually not like vicious monster
- 24:19Speaker 6: people given the context. They're stereotypical polygamists. I guess there's
- 24:24Speaker 6: always a favorite wife. There's always a wife pretending to
- 24:26Speaker 6: be like extremely pious and close to God and calls
- 24:30Speaker 6: the shots using that facade. They're kind of I guess
- 24:35Speaker 6: the Brown family's kind of textbook from their take. And
- 24:37Speaker 6: not only that, they're actually kind of better than the average,
- 24:42Speaker 6: actual like private polygamist family because they had cameras on them.
- 24:45Speaker 6: So this is not like some freak accident that happened
- 24:49Speaker 6: in polygamy. This is par for the course, if not
- 24:51Speaker 6: a little bit better than what is standard. Wild Check
- 24:54Speaker 6: them out.
- 24:55Speaker 1: You'll absolutely love it, just because the system of the
- 25:00Speaker 1: religion the aub LDS polygamy is flawed, and within that
- 25:05Speaker 1: flawed demonic system, Cody and Robin are not so bad.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Doesn't make Cody and Robin not so bad. I think
- 25:14Speaker 1: that they're still bad people. I think if you're I
- 25:18Speaker 1: don't care. Dude, if you came up in a toxic
- 25:21Speaker 1: cult and then turned around and were toxic to your
- 25:25Speaker 1: kids and disowned them and talked such trash about the
- 25:28Speaker 1: women who supported you and were vile to them, like
- 25:32Speaker 1: that makes you a bad person. And just because there
- 25:35Speaker 1: are worse people in a fucked up system like polygamy,
- 25:38Speaker 1: doesn't mean that you're a good person for sure. And
- 25:41Speaker 1: Robin is the worst, like not vicious. Really, I'm sorry,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I mean, I'm Rachel. I'm not arguing with you. Thank
- 25:48Speaker 1: you so much. Your commentary is illuminating and I love it.
- 25:51Speaker 1: But I don't believe that, and I actually want to
- 25:54Speaker 1: believe Maddie, and I want to be leave the kids
- 25:56Speaker 1: that were there that are speaking out about how these
- 25:59Speaker 1: people actually were. Mary included, Christine included, and Janelle included,
- 26:03Speaker 1: Like these are not necessarily good people.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I can understand, like in the context of this religious
- 26:09Speaker 2: structure and this cult that like maybe Codium Robin are
- 26:13Speaker 2: not as bad as some of the other like polygamist
- 26:17Speaker 2: families or like polygamists, Like.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he's not Warren Jeff's.
- 26:21Speaker 2: That's right true exactly, but it's still objectively awful, and
- 26:24Speaker 2: it just goes to show that, like this system just
- 26:27Speaker 2: doesn't fucking work. It also makes me look at other
- 26:30Speaker 2: families like the Dargers or like that guy on My
- 26:33Speaker 2: Five Wives who is super weird and shady in my opinion,
- 26:37Speaker 2: that's another very bomist though, but like yeah, just makes
- 26:41Speaker 2: you look at their families differently too, because if this
- 26:44Speaker 2: is like the norm, like if this is a stereotype
- 26:47Speaker 2: for a reason, because there's always a favorite wife, there's
- 26:50Speaker 2: always this hierarchy, there's always like abuse, you know, like
- 26:54Speaker 2: whether it's financial or emotional or physical or whatever. Like
- 26:59Speaker 2: why are we platforming these families?
- 27:01Speaker 1: Then?
- 27:01Speaker 2: Like why are we giving them shows if they're just
- 27:03Speaker 2: objectively terrible?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Indeed? I mean, but that's TLC's bread and butter, and
- 27:10Speaker 1: they're going to continue to do it, Like if we're
- 27:11Speaker 1: going to continue to watch and we are we are
- 27:14Speaker 1: week after week after week, and the universal weath, then
- 27:16Speaker 1: they're going to continue to platform these types of frankly
- 27:20Speaker 1: abusive people. In my opinion, and.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Honestly, I think the only reason why any of us
- 27:23Speaker 2: watch is because we're just waiting and hoping for the
- 27:26Speaker 2: day that people get justice, that karma comes up, and
- 27:29Speaker 2: it comes up hard and it kicks them in the ass.
- 27:32Speaker 2: I think that's why we're all watching, even though it's boring,
- 27:35Speaker 2: even though it's frustrating, even though it's annoying to watch
- 27:37Speaker 2: them lie constantly, we're just waiting.
- 27:40Speaker 1: We're waiting for that you know what's coming, honey, And
- 27:42Speaker 1: I think they know it too well.
- 27:43Speaker 2: For sure.
- 27:43Speaker 1: I think they know it too. So thank you, Rachanie Rachel,
- 27:46Speaker 1: I really do appreciate your thoughts and opinions.
- 27:49Speaker 2: All right, last one we have is from Raccoon Gertrude.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Okay, Gertrude, this is Raccoon Gertrude. I'm calling from a
- 27:58Speaker 5: dumpster in New Jersey. The reason for my call is
- 28:03Speaker 5: I have a theory about Ron and Mary. I'm getting
- 28:09Speaker 5: homosexical vibes from both of them, and I'm wondering if
- 28:15Speaker 5: their whole thing about meeting each other at the right time,
- 28:20Speaker 5: and there's a reason is that they both are supporting
- 28:25Speaker 5: each other on their journey to coming out, not for
- 28:30Speaker 5: them to be dating.
- 28:34Speaker 1: That's awesome, so like a lavender relationship. Yes, yeah, what I.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Could see it. Ethel and I talk about it all
- 28:42Speaker 2: the time that I think that we both think that
- 28:45Speaker 2: Mary is like a repressed lesbian and I could totally
- 28:49Speaker 2: see it, you know, And this is such an inappropriate
- 28:52Speaker 2: thing to speculated about, but I am a lesbian, so
- 28:55Speaker 2: I'm allowed to. I just I don't know, so I
- 28:58Speaker 2: get those vibes, and like, I know, people were totally
- 29:02Speaker 2: speculating her included that Ron was totally gay.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Me.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Yes, she texted me the day she was watching it.
- 29:10Speaker 1: She's like, get listen, I'm old, hoody and I've been
- 29:14Speaker 1: hanging out with my friends a lot of many of
- 29:18Speaker 1: which are homosexicals, and love the community, love my babies,
- 29:22Speaker 1: make gibes, love make babies, and so like, I love
- 29:26Speaker 1: to see more homosexuals. Like that'sh just me, but yeah,
- 29:29Speaker 1: it was giving me a little bit of the fancy,
- 29:32Speaker 1: festive gay vibes with Ron and Mary. I don't I.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Could see it, like I see it.
- 29:41Speaker 1: The work she would have to do, I think to
- 29:44Speaker 1: be comfortable enough to accept even a bisexical trait within
- 29:50Speaker 1: herself I think would be like massive for her to do.
- 29:52Speaker 1: But if that is her natural inclination, like that is
- 29:55Speaker 1: what really she feels inside, then I would want that
- 29:58Speaker 1: for her.
- 29:58Speaker 2: I mean the catfish was actually a.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Woman, so but she thought it was sad.
- 30:03Speaker 2: I thought it was a man. That's what she told
- 30:06Speaker 2: us on the cameras. What if she didn't, what if
- 30:08Speaker 2: she knew it wasn't a man the entire time.
- 30:10Speaker 1: No, Mary thought that was a handsome young business originally,
- 30:16Speaker 1: and she was into it because I do think she's heterosexual.
- 30:19Speaker 1: That doesn't mean ron is. But like also when you
- 30:22Speaker 1: think about the religious system she came out of, and
- 30:25Speaker 1: probably him, I mean he's living in Utah. He's probably
- 30:27Speaker 1: Mormon too, probably you know, so he's come up in
- 30:30Speaker 1: a religion where it's not acceptable to be gay. We've
- 30:35Speaker 1: talked about this. Have they loosened the reins on their
- 30:38Speaker 1: hatred and bigotry towards homosexuals?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Well, they're not as like hateful as like other like
- 30:43Speaker 2: religions in the sense of like pray the gay away,
- 30:47Speaker 2: Like they acknowledge that homosexuality exists, but you're not allowed
- 30:50Speaker 2: to act on it because it's sinful to act on it. Okay,
- 30:53Speaker 2: Like you can be gay. That's why those guys on
- 30:56Speaker 2: we reacted to it on Patreon. My husband's not gay.
- 30:58Speaker 1: Yeah, so great.
- 30:59Speaker 2: They were Mormons and all gay and they were completely
- 31:02Speaker 2: so fucking gay. Yeah, the gayest guys I've ever seen
- 31:04Speaker 2: in my life. And yeah, so like they acknowledge that
- 31:07Speaker 2: they have the attraction and.
- 31:09Speaker 1: They really support themselves on their male camping trips talking
- 31:14Speaker 1: about how they can't be gay, gotta have boy time,
- 31:17Speaker 1: yeah in the tent and stuff on.
- 31:19Speaker 2: The back mountain.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Anyway, So like maybe you know, Ron's in his fifties,
- 31:22Speaker 1: Like maybe he's come up through this patriarchal, toxic religious
- 31:26Speaker 1: system that hates on the gays and so he doesn't
- 31:29Speaker 1: know how to embrace that side of him. But we
- 31:30Speaker 1: are speculating, like crazy people on the internet, like he
- 31:33Speaker 1: seems like a perfectly reasonable, lovely person. Mary seems a
- 31:36Speaker 1: little bit sprung and into it or whatever. So God bless, God.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Bless, and maybe he's just super metro and maybe he's
- 31:42Speaker 2: the straightest guy we know.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Okay, so back to our YouTube channel, we censored that.
- 31:47Speaker 1: We censored a little bit of that because she got
- 31:49Speaker 1: so inappropriate and rude. But I didn't rude. She was
- 31:52Speaker 1: rude to me anyway, any more calls?
- 31:54Speaker 2: That was it?
- 31:55Speaker 1: Great call? I mean scandalous. Thought it scandalous, but like.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Let us know your thoughts.
- 32:02Speaker 1: We kind of love it.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Do you think Mary's a closeted lesbian?
- 32:05Speaker 1: Do you think ron don't opine about that? I don't
- 32:10Speaker 1: drop a comment about that, drop a comment about the
- 32:12Speaker 1: other stuff we've been talking about. Gosh darn all right
- 32:15Speaker 1: on that note, it has been fabulous. We're gonna be
- 32:18Speaker 1: back later this week, of course, are you kidding? With
- 32:22Speaker 1: our recap of sister wives? And we are also launching
- 32:25Speaker 1: into our recaps of them amish people. They're suddenly amish, honey.
- 32:29Speaker 1: They have left the city streets with their beat faces
- 32:32Speaker 1: and their nails, and they're out to churn some butter
- 32:35Speaker 1: and make their own sanitary napkins. If I'm not here
- 32:38Speaker 1: for that, I'm not here for nothing. So excited, So
- 32:41Speaker 1: we're going to be back for that. Make sure to
- 32:42Speaker 1: come back. Don't forget to like, don't forget to subscribe
- 32:45Speaker 1: until next time. Please do not forget the way nothing
- 32:48Speaker 1: will love for.
- 32:48Speaker 5: You and peace.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Bye way
