- 0:18Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:22Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, along with
- 0:25Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Thursday May twenty second,
- 0:32Speaker 1: two thousand and twenty five. I've been loosely following the
- 0:38Speaker 1: New Orleans jail escape all week and as of right now,
- 0:44Speaker 1: the last story that I saw said five of the
- 0:48Speaker 1: ten New Orleans jail escapees have been caught. So five
- 0:53Speaker 1: out of ten have been caught so far, which means
- 0:56Speaker 1: five are still on the loose. And twenty thirty years
- 1:02Speaker 1: ago this story might have struck fear into the surrounding
- 1:08Speaker 1: areas of a jail or prison escape. But it's modern times,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and instead of most people being fearful of escape convicts
- 1:19Speaker 1: running around loose, we're now taking bets on who's going
- 1:24Speaker 1: to get caught and who's not. A cryptocurrency trading company
- 1:30Speaker 1: called Polymarket started taking bets on Tuesday over which escaped
- 1:36Speaker 1: New Orleans inmates would be captured by Friday, So prisoner
- 1:44Speaker 1: parlays are now a thing.
- 1:48Speaker 2: My question is if you're if you're one of the guys,
- 1:54Speaker 2: do you bet on yourself then turn yourself in that
- 1:58Speaker 2: way you have money when you get out.
- 2:01Speaker 1: That's an interesting, uh way to look at it.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a very looking at it.
- 2:09Speaker 1: What if it's an Indian way of looking at it?
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'm like, you know what, what, what's what am I going
- 2:13Speaker 2: for right now?
- 2:17Speaker 1: Is it possible that this is a clever ruse on
- 2:20Speaker 1: the part of the authorities to get them to turn
- 2:23Speaker 1: themselves in, because, like you said, if they bet on
- 2:26Speaker 1: themselves to turn themselves in to have money on the
- 2:30Speaker 1: other side when they eventually get out legally, then maybe
- 2:33Speaker 1: that's a trick by the authorities.
- 2:35Speaker 3: No, no, no, what you do is you put in
- 2:38Speaker 3: a parlay, you turn your you're other people in.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Do you win some real money?
- 2:45Speaker 2: See, that's the right way of doing it, right, that's.
- 2:50Speaker 1: It makes sense. I mean, you know we you know
- 2:54Speaker 1: one or two people that get sent off to federal prison,
- 2:56Speaker 1: and we certainly know how to make some money off
- 2:59Speaker 1: of that, don't we. These are all obviously just in theory,
- 3:04Speaker 1: But I like that, And maybe that's the other clever
- 3:07Speaker 1: side of it is authority said, hey, if we say
- 3:11Speaker 1: or have a company announce we're taking bets, then they'll
- 3:14Speaker 1: start turning each other in to try to make money
- 3:18Speaker 1: on the gambling side.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I really think you'd be able to. I think
- 3:21Speaker 2: you'd be able to figure out who it was that
- 3:22Speaker 2: did it, Like if you're walking past their cell and
- 3:24Speaker 2: I was like, is that four ramens and a kit cat?
- 3:28Speaker 2: Son of a bitch? Does he have real kool aid? Bastard?
- 3:37Speaker 2: That's right, he got us pinched.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Uh.
- 3:41Speaker 1: There is new information. By the way, a maintenance worker
- 3:44Speaker 1: was arrested at the New Orleans jail where the ten
- 3:46Speaker 1: inmates escape. He's accused of helping the inmates get out
- 3:50Speaker 1: of the jail. I don't know if any bets were
- 3:53Speaker 1: taken on that, but inmates Jermaine Donald and Derrick Groves
- 3:59Speaker 1: are sitting at twenty two chance of capture by Friday Antwine, Massey,
- 4:04Speaker 1: Leo Tate, and Linton Van Buren are sitting at twenty
- 4:07Speaker 1: three percent. Corey Corey Boyd has the most expensive odds
- 4:12Speaker 1: at ninety nine cents on yes and ninety eight cents
- 4:16Speaker 1: on no. So I guess I guess he's your I
- 4:22Speaker 1: guess Corey Boyd is the long shot.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Okays your he's your seabiscuit?
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yeah, how how are they handicapping this?
- 4:38Speaker 1: I knew you'd have questions. I knew at the Gambler
- 4:41Speaker 1: in the tree House Trade turn Home, I knew you
- 4:43Speaker 1: would have questions about this. And I don't have all
- 4:45Speaker 1: the answers I'm with because I want to know money
- 4:48Speaker 1: line and all that.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Do they have like windtail breaks like you know what
- 4:53Speaker 4: what show?
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:58Speaker 1: No, it absolutely makes sense because if you're going to
- 5:00Speaker 1: handicap the inmates from a gambling point of view, how
- 5:05Speaker 1: do you do that? Do you consider their prior?
- 5:08Speaker 4: Like?
- 5:08Speaker 1: Do you do you consider their criminal history? Are the
- 5:11Speaker 1: more violent guys more likely or less likely to avoid capture?
- 5:18Speaker 3: I mean, is this a new cottage industry? I mean,
- 5:20Speaker 3: is there going to be a norm Hitskis of jail breaks?
- 5:25Speaker 2: No?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Norm's Guide.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You got Steven A. Smith out there telling people how
- 5:33Speaker 2: terrible they are at jail breaking. Yeah, and I can
- 5:40Speaker 2: tell like the reason when Trey started asking these questions,
- 5:44Speaker 2: I'm like, you know, he's gonna call his bookie at
- 5:46Speaker 2: the break the next break. We think it's so sweet, dollar,
- 5:49Speaker 2: like give me void ninety eight.
- 5:57Speaker 1: See. Three of the escapees were captured one day after
- 6:01Speaker 1: the escape. A fourth was captured Monday. But this particular
- 6:07Speaker 1: article I have here doesn't really go into the details
- 6:12Speaker 1: on the handicapping or the methodology in the odds of
- 6:17Speaker 1: certain inmates being captured by Friday or not. Maybe it's
- 6:21Speaker 1: just pure luck.
- 6:23Speaker 2: And then the maintenance guy, like, you don't know if
- 6:25Speaker 2: he was like threatened with harm or threatened with like
- 6:28Speaker 2: you know, once we do get out, we're going to
- 6:29Speaker 2: target your family, So you don't know what his motivation was.
- 6:32Speaker 2: So I mean to arrest him immediately. I mean, I'll
- 6:35Speaker 2: take him in for questioning first and see if he
- 6:38Speaker 2: was like complicit in them leaving.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Well, that may have happened. Actually, the inmates escaped on Friday,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and the maintenance worker accused of helping them escape was
- 6:49Speaker 1: arrested Tuesday. He allegedly turned off the water to the
- 6:53Speaker 1: toilet after being instructed by one of the prisoners. They
- 6:56Speaker 1: then ripped off the toilet and escaped through the hole behind.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So if they escape on Friday and the maintenance worker
- 7:07Speaker 1: is arrested on Tuesday, I'm pretty sure they went through
- 7:10Speaker 1: the normal steps and they probably got a confession out
- 7:13Speaker 1: of him.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Well, let's also from what I read, this jail has
- 7:18Speaker 3: failed inspections, has not passed an inspection since twenty thirteen.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Yeah, twelve years.
- 7:25Speaker 4: Yeah, Nolan's.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Good old Louisiana.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Man, I'm surprised I just.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Didn't open the door and walk out. See you guys later,
- 7:36Speaker 2: see your friend, see you Sam.
- 7:37Speaker 4: Just keep walking.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't know why some of these look, you don't
- 7:42Speaker 1: need to make jails and prisons, you know, elaborate to
- 7:49Speaker 1: keep the inmates in because in my mind, a jail or,
- 7:53Speaker 1: I guess a prison in Louisiana would be pretty easily
- 7:57Speaker 1: fortified by just sticking it in the middle of a
- 8:00Speaker 1: swamp surrounded by gators. You don't even need walls or fences,
- 8:04Speaker 1: just say, if you feel lucky, it'd be a lot
- 8:09Speaker 1: cheaper than constructing you know certain uh, you know, massive facilities.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but necessity is the mother of invention. So you
- 8:17Speaker 2: don't know what these guys will will do or create
- 8:21Speaker 2: to escape, Like depending on how long you're in there for.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Like if you're in there for like you know, a
- 8:25Speaker 2: warrant for speeding, and you're out in a couple hours.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Well then you don't go to the gator invested prison.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Or prison prison. Yeah that's true. Noough, and uh yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 2: but I mean people, people will go to extreme measures.
- 8:38Speaker 2: So even if you have like one person escaped Alcatraz right.
- 8:42Speaker 1: They believe there's been no confirmation on that there were
- 8:45Speaker 1: three guys that that attempted an escape and they were
- 8:48Speaker 1: never found. They were assumed drowned in the San Francisco Bay, except.
- 8:54Speaker 2: For one guy that they have a picture of years later.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Conspiracies overwhelmed. They have one a picture of a guy
- 9:01Speaker 2: in like the late seventies, like next to like a
- 9:04Speaker 2: camaro that is almost identical to the guy that broke
- 9:07Speaker 2: out in like the late fifties. So you never know.
- 9:09Speaker 2: I'm just saying, gators, I gotcha. That's a that's a
- 9:14Speaker 2: risk I wouldn't want to take. They hurt bad.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Have you ever watched swamp people?
- 9:22Speaker 2: No?
- 9:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know that. I think the gator thing
- 9:26Speaker 3: is really all you think it is. You know if
- 9:29Speaker 3: for people from Louisiana, they.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Oh, that's true.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Swamp puppies.
- 9:41Speaker 5: You're in the tree House.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Visit us online at the Treehouse on air dot com.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Time now to get Daniel Cook from COOKDFW Roofing and
- 9:52Speaker 1: Restoration into the Treehouse for your free roof inspection. Give
- 9:56Speaker 1: him a call eight three three Cook DFW the website,
- 9:59Speaker 1: Cook dfw dot com Daniel, you and I have talked
- 10:03Speaker 1: for a long time now, and I appreciate our talks.
- 10:06Speaker 1: But even now you can surprise me. I had no
- 10:11Speaker 1: idea you could finance a roof. It's a good thing,
- 10:15Speaker 1: especially if for some reason insurance is not involved and
- 10:18Speaker 1: you don't have you know, twenty thirty forty thousand dollars
- 10:21Speaker 1: just lying around. Maybe you want to explore some options
- 10:24Speaker 1: and you guys have that ability.
- 10:26Speaker 7: Yeah, Dan, we brought that on a couple of years back,
- 10:29Speaker 7: and believe it or not, it really has helped some
- 10:32Speaker 7: folks protect their home, make sure it doesn't leak, and
- 10:36Speaker 7: keep it from having large, large expenses from interior and
- 10:40Speaker 7: attic problems. So the financing is there. We have a
- 10:43Speaker 7: unique link on our website you can go, you put
- 10:47Speaker 7: your information in. It actually is a soft inquiry, so
- 10:52Speaker 7: it doesn't hit your credit with a hard you know,
- 10:55Speaker 7: credit hit that some people are scared of. And it
- 10:57Speaker 7: can gives you you know, five six, eight options, whichever
- 11:01Speaker 7: one helps you the best. So it gives you different terms,
- 11:04Speaker 7: gives you different interest rates, different payments. Some of them
- 11:07Speaker 7: are zero interests for a certain amount of time, so
- 11:09Speaker 7: you may qualify for paying it out and you don't
- 11:12Speaker 7: have to worry about interest. So all kinds of options there.
- 11:14Speaker 7: And it also helps with deductibles. Everybody's deductibles are high
- 11:18Speaker 7: right now. They're ten thousand dollars, eighty five hundred dollars.
- 11:22Speaker 7: I saw one yesterday it was seventeen thousand dollars. So
- 11:25Speaker 7: these helps you know, so if you have to pay
- 11:27Speaker 7: out your deductible, it gives you a perfect option of
- 11:30Speaker 7: doing that as well.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's great. So that way you have that
- 11:34Speaker 1: piece of mind that even if you can't afford that
- 11:37Speaker 1: deductible or you can't afford the cash payment of a
- 11:40Speaker 1: whole new roof, you got options when you get a
- 11:43Speaker 1: hold of cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. So do that,

- 12:35Speaker 1: He's trade. That's Raj And that was one of the
- 12:38Speaker 1: most terrifying commercial breaks I've had in quite a long time.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Have you have you, guys, ever had to sneeze while
- 12:46Speaker 1: you're going to the bathroom? Does it frighten you as
- 12:49Speaker 1: much as it does me?
- 12:52Speaker 3: No, I can honestly say I have never put that
- 12:55Speaker 3: much thought into it.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Well, I just did because I went to the bathroom
- 13:01Speaker 1: and I'm going pp and I start to feel a
- 13:04Speaker 1: little tickle in my left nostril, the indication that I
- 13:09Speaker 1: am about to sneeze, and it scared the hell out
- 13:12Speaker 1: of me because there's a number of things that could
- 13:16Speaker 1: happen if the sneeze gets out. One is I peel
- 13:19Speaker 1: over the bathroom and that's gonna be embarrassing. I gotta
- 13:21Speaker 1: clean that up. Number Two is I cut off the
- 13:26Speaker 1: pee and sneeze. And because I've cut off the front end,
- 13:32Speaker 1: that pressure is gonna have to go somewhere, and the
- 13:35Speaker 1: sneeze could force open the back valve and something worse
- 13:38Speaker 1: may happen. Or if I try to swallow and keep
- 13:42Speaker 1: the sneeze in, I'm worried about then my throat exploding,
- 13:47Speaker 1: which has happened by the way people have This has
- 13:50Speaker 1: been documented when someone tries to like muffle a sneeze,
- 13:53Speaker 1: their throat will basically blow out. So I'm the only
- 13:57Speaker 1: one that gets afraid when sneezing going to the bathroom.
- 14:02Speaker 4: Damn.
- 14:03Speaker 3: I say this as the oldest person on this show.
- 14:06Speaker 3: What the is happening to your body?
- 14:08Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 14:10Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Do you go to a doctor that's not in a
- 14:13Speaker 2: public storage unit?
- 14:15Speaker 4: Like?
- 14:18Speaker 1: Look, I have random thoughts, and I have a tendency
- 14:21Speaker 1: to share my random thoughts with you guys. And the
- 14:24Speaker 1: more times that I do it, the more times I
- 14:26Speaker 1: regret it, because you guys always make it seem like
- 14:29Speaker 1: there's something wrong with me. All I'm saying is all
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm confessing is that I was going to the bathroom
- 14:35Speaker 1: and I felt the knees coming on, and I was
- 14:37Speaker 1: worried what would happen if I tried to quell the knees.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So why wouldn't you just immediately sit down.
- 14:44Speaker 1: Because then I still got to cut off the peepie
- 14:46Speaker 1: and that hurts.
- 14:47Speaker 2: What if you're sitting down on the toilet and you
- 14:50Speaker 2: have to sneeze, why would you have to cut things off?
- 14:52Speaker 4: You could?
- 14:54Speaker 1: I was going number one, so I was standing.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Yeah, but if you felt the sneeze coming on, you're like, oh,
- 15:00Speaker 2: to sit down, then I.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Would have had to cut off my peepee stream to
- 15:04Speaker 1: turn and then sit.
- 15:06Speaker 2: You could.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Cutting off the stream hurts. You want me to do
- 15:12Speaker 1: you want me to say that again? You can a
- 15:14Speaker 1: c slater it and sit on the toilet backwards. Yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 1: I'm giving a toilet a lap dance.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, get a book, put it on the on
- 15:23Speaker 2: the back of the toilet.
- 15:24Speaker 3: First of all, cutting off your stream is actually good
- 15:30Speaker 3: for you.
- 15:32Speaker 1: That's how you know.
- 15:33Speaker 3: It's called the bladder exercise, and it's actually good for you.
- 15:37Speaker 3: The only time I have ever really been vexed by
- 15:39Speaker 3: a sneeze is when I had diarrhea.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Yeah, now there you can you have a somewhat of
- 15:46Speaker 3: a conundrum. Yeah, but just peeing, No, I I I'm
- 15:53Speaker 3: worried about you.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Dan.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Ultimately, what I'm sharing with you is I don't like sneezing.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I really don't know, joke, no bit. In all honesty,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I do not like sneezing because I lose control of
- 16:05Speaker 1: my body temporarily, and I don't like losing control of
- 16:07Speaker 1: my body, and so I try to avoid sneezing when
- 16:11Speaker 1: and where I can, and if I'm in the middle
- 16:14Speaker 1: of going to the bathroom, I really want to avoid
- 16:17Speaker 1: the sneeze for fear of what other things may happen.
- 16:21Speaker 2: That is so weird. I'm learning, and I've known you
- 16:25Speaker 2: for twenty plus years and we're learning something new about you,
- 16:28Speaker 2: and very you might want to you might want to
- 16:32Speaker 2: go to an E and T and be like, I
- 16:34Speaker 2: have some legitimate concerns. I think I'm gonna blow something out.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I am a powerful sneezer, so that's part of the concern.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I sneeze pretty loud too, But I mean I
- 16:46Speaker 2: don't I don't hold it in. I don't do that
- 16:48Speaker 2: thing like you've heard of people like the back of
- 16:50Speaker 2: your head can explode. It's like eight thousand pounds of
- 16:52Speaker 2: pressure per square inch every time you hold it and sneeze, right,
- 16:55Speaker 2: So it's the same thing with like the throat blowing out.
- 16:56Speaker 2: But I've never blew out the back valve on a
- 17:02Speaker 2: on a sneeze, and I've never peed all over the bathroom.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Have you ever sneezed while peeing?
- 17:09Speaker 2: I can't remember.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Maybe you wouldn't know it.
- 17:12Speaker 1: If you had, you'd remember it. It would be burned
- 17:15Speaker 1: into your memory.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I may have I've coughed before. I don't know if
- 17:22Speaker 2: that's in the same realm, but uh no, that's uh
- 17:26Speaker 2: that's you might want to guess. You might want to
- 17:28Speaker 2: go get some stuff looked at in order.
- 17:33Speaker 4: I hope you never have to sneeze while Tara is
- 17:35Speaker 4: pegging you.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Jeez, that's a cleanup you don't want to do.
- 17:43Speaker 1: That's actually my greatest defense.

- 18:38Speaker 1: Treehouse Show. I'm Daniel Malley along with Trey Trinholm and
- 18:41Speaker 1: Raj Sharma. A headline scared me today. Uh, not as
- 18:47Speaker 1: bad as the thought of sneezing while going to the
- 18:50Speaker 1: bathroom scared me earlier, but this headline is still pretty scary.
- 18:54Speaker 1: When you've seen as many movies as I have. A
- 18:57Speaker 1: mysterious bacteria with unique abilities was to discovered on a
- 19:00Speaker 1: Chinese space station. I would like to go ahead and
- 19:05Speaker 1: formally send condolences to their families because I think the
- 19:09Speaker 1: only thing we can and should be doing is torching
- 19:12Speaker 1: that thing and until there's nothing left. I've seen enough
- 19:17Speaker 1: movies to know what happens. That space station can never
- 19:20Speaker 1: be allowed to return to this planet.
- 19:24Speaker 4: They don't.
- 19:27Speaker 1: The space stations, yeah, the people inside do, well, they
- 19:30Speaker 1: shouldn't either. That's why I'm offering their families condolences now,
- 19:35Speaker 1: because not only should that space station ever come back
- 19:37Speaker 1: to Earth, the people on it shouldn't either. And I'm sorry,
- 19:40Speaker 1: but that's just how I feel about it. And by
- 19:43Speaker 1: the way, plenty of space chunk ends up back on Earth.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Just ask the entire Russian Space Agency. There's stuff's been
- 19:52Speaker 1: falling out of the skies for decades.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 3: But being that it hits temperatures of like thirty five
- 19:56Speaker 3: hundred degrees, I think, yeah, yeah, the bacteria, but the people,
- 20:02Speaker 3: but it's China, so I mean they probably won't mm hmm.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Yeah. But I'm with you.
- 20:08Speaker 3: I I agree with your sentiment that a rare bacteria
- 20:12Speaker 3: found in space is not something to be trifled with.
- 20:15Speaker 1: No, it's not. We have trouble with Earth bacteria. You
- 20:17Speaker 1: thought COVID was bad, how about space covid.
- 20:21Speaker 2: What if it was a bacteria that was on the
- 20:23Speaker 2: space station when it went up and it's now mutated
- 20:26Speaker 2: even worse. Yeah, there you go, not worse than space.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Look anything that we have on Earth. That if there's
- 20:37Speaker 1: any sort of a virus or a bacteria that we
- 20:40Speaker 1: have on Earth, and then while in space we discover
- 20:44Speaker 1: a space version of that virus or bacteria, you know
- 20:49Speaker 1: it's going to be way worse. Just like just like herpes,
- 20:53Speaker 1: there's Earth herpes and then there's space herpes. You know,
- 20:55Speaker 1: space herpes is going to be way, way worse. I
- 20:58Speaker 1: know that because I saw it in Ice Pirates, the movie.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Okay, was Ice Pirates too about Space Aids?
- 21:09Speaker 1: They they couldn't they couldn't quite get the story right
- 21:12Speaker 1: for Ice Pirates too.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Space Crabs would have been far scarier.
- 21:21Speaker 1: By the way. Ice Pirates starred Bob Ulrich.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Oh Spencer yeah, oh yeah, okay the eighties Spencer for higher, Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 2: Spencer for hire from the eighties TV.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Show and uh, what was this other show, Dantana?
- 21:40Speaker 2: Oh maybe, yeah, yeah, I think it's right.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Yeah, look at you, look at us being old.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I know, uh and you you what was the excuse
- 21:51Speaker 2: now for watching Ice Pirates.
- 21:56Speaker 1: It was the eighties and it was a space kind
- 21:59Speaker 1: of a movie that looked a little like Star Wars.
- 22:02Speaker 1: And I was a child.
- 22:05Speaker 2: There still okay, there's still nokes. No, no, I'm not
- 22:09Speaker 2: letting you dismiss this with child like being in even
- 22:12Speaker 2: me for twenty years.
- 22:13Speaker 1: This is not the first time I've brought up the
- 22:15Speaker 1: movie Ice Pirates in face.
- 22:17Speaker 4: He was an orphan. I mean, it's not like they
- 22:19Speaker 4: got the good movies.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yeah, My Foster Care was a television I.
- 22:23Speaker 4: Mean, that's true. And Annie was about as good as
- 22:26Speaker 4: it got.
- 22:30Speaker 2: I did did for his own Daddy war Bucks.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I never had a Daddy war Bucks. I'm I'm
- 22:36Speaker 1: still waiting for my son to come up tomorrow.
- 22:40Speaker 2: Did you did they give Did they give your family
- 22:43Speaker 2: a VHS copy of Ice Pirates when they traded you
- 22:46Speaker 2: at the Walmart? Because I like, well, that's the consolation price, Like,
- 22:49Speaker 2: here's your baby and a copy of Bob Orrick's Pirates
- 22:53Speaker 2: on on data. Look a track to go with it.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Ice Pirates had Bob Urick from Spencer for Hire. Okay,
- 23:07Speaker 1: also had uh, let's see John Matusac who played Sloth
- 23:12Speaker 1: in Goonies and NFL Great, he was in that as well.
- 23:16Speaker 1: So with a special appearance by Space Herpes.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, those two guys were in it because that's the
- 23:26Speaker 2: point in their career. They're like, we need cash now.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Look, it's either this ord or paid a advance loan. Yeah,
- 23:37Speaker 1: so they went with the.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Movie at that point. It was that our Circus of
- 23:40Speaker 4: the Star with the Stars.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Hey, Dick Van Patton ruled that, just to let you
- 23:48Speaker 2: know it was not enough.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Okay, I watched Circus with the Stars, but I don't
- 23:55Speaker 1: remember Dick Van Patton doing the Trapees.
- 23:58Speaker 2: Oh then you missed that year.
- 24:01Speaker 4: He didn't do it.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Well.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I want to go back and watch that.
- 24:08Speaker 2: They need to bring that back. I just want to
- 24:11Speaker 2: see that again. Those are some good times, and you know,
- 24:14Speaker 2: and it gave Charro work. If you want to show being.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Old, Charo is still out there shaking her Cucci Coucci
- 24:22Speaker 3: follow her on Instagram.
- 24:24Speaker 2: She still looks the same she does. It's so creepy.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I'm like, probably, I think she probably looks the same
- 24:31Speaker 1: because she stayed so active on certain.
- 24:39Speaker 2: That hip don't break. Yes, I wonder can we look
- 24:46Speaker 2: up with the the the Rotten Tomatoes is on Ice Pirates.
- 24:49Speaker 2: I just I'm just curious.
- 24:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we can do that. Hang on, let's see Ice
- 24:54Speaker 1: Pirates Rotten Tomatoes.
- 24:59Speaker 2: If it just has f you, that'll be the best one.
- 25:03Speaker 5: All right. Uh.
- 25:04Speaker 1: The Ice Pirates, starring Bob Urick, came out in March
- 25:08Speaker 1: of nineteen eighty four, rated PG sci fi space raider
- 25:15Speaker 1: Jason played by Robert Urick and his sidekick Michael D. Roberts,
- 25:19Speaker 1: help a princess played by Mary Crosby, Finder Father and
- 25:22Speaker 1: explorers seeking Water. Critics give it.
- 25:29Speaker 2: US seventeen seventeen seventeen Oh, that's right, that's right.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Seventeen percent is the critics score for Ice Pirates. The
- 25:41Speaker 1: audience score is fifty. Wow.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Okay, and as you fair in fairness, this is how
- 25:48Speaker 3: this is what a blockbuster Ice Pirates was. There are
- 25:52Speaker 3: only twelve critics reviews. Did it in a time where
- 26:01Speaker 3: every there were newspapers in every town across the country
- 26:05Speaker 3: and everyone had a movie reviewer.
- 26:06Speaker 4: There's still only twelve reviews.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the twelve people that just got hired as
- 26:11Speaker 2: a critic. Hey, you're covering Ice Pirates like son of
- 26:14Speaker 2: a Bitch.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Cisco and Ebert didn't even give any thumbs for
- 26:18Speaker 1: this one because they.
- 26:18Speaker 4: Didn't bother Wow.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Okay, So that's it's a hell of a film.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I'm telling you. If you ever want to waste an
- 26:32Speaker 1: hour and a half.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'll just take your word for it.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Yeah, I've already given you the good parts.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Anyway, you're the Trethouse.
- 26:51Speaker 6: Visit us online, Treehouse on air dot com. You're in
- 27:01Speaker 6: the Treehouse business online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 27:08Speaker 1: It is time to advertise right here inside the Treehouse.
- 27:11Speaker 1: Sponsorship opportunities are available, so if you're interested to shoot
- 27:15Speaker 1: us an email Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com.
- 27:18Speaker 1: That's Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com. To advertise
- 27:21Speaker 1: right here inside the Treehouse Show, I'm Daniel Maley along
- 27:25Speaker 1: with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Thursday May
- 27:29Speaker 1: twenty second, twenty twenty five. It's been a while since
- 27:33Speaker 1: I've been in therapy, and I've decided that I want
- 27:36Speaker 1: to go back to therapy because I have lots of
- 27:38Speaker 1: stuff on my mind, lots of stuff in my heart,
- 27:41Speaker 1: and so I've decided to start seeing a new therapist.
- 27:45Speaker 1: It's a controversial therapist with controversial methods, but I'm willing
- 27:53Speaker 1: to explore for the sake of you know, mental wellbeing
- 27:57Speaker 1: and mental health. So I would now like to share
- 28:00Speaker 1: with you my new therapist. Give me just a moment.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Mm hmmmmmmm uh, Trey, Raj, I would like you to
- 28:11Speaker 1: meet my new therapist.
- 28:14Speaker 8: Okay, me wish me knew when me was just a little.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Monster cookie monster.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Yeah, he's my favorite.
- 28:23Speaker 1: He's one of my favorites too. Look, mental health is
- 28:26Speaker 1: an important thing and I feel like everyone can benefit
- 28:29Speaker 1: with some form of therapy. And seeing as how therapy
- 28:34Speaker 1: is very expensive these days, I've decided to try him
- 28:36Speaker 1: up at therapy on social media, and who better to
- 28:39Speaker 1: go to than Cookie Monster And this is the first session.
- 28:43Speaker 8: Three things me wish me knew when me was just
- 28:46Speaker 8: a little monster. One things not always go you away
- 28:52Speaker 8: and that okay, yeah, it's just how the cookie crumbles. Mmmm,
- 28:57Speaker 8: cookie crumbles me. Two self care, Yeah, that that's very important. Yeah,
- 29:06Speaker 8: make sure you treat yourself to you know, maybe like
- 29:10Speaker 8: a like a little bubble bath or an eye mask, yeah,
- 29:15Speaker 8: or some delicious cookies m me nam. And three just
- 29:22Speaker 8: because something look like a cookie doesn't mean that it
- 29:27Speaker 8: is cookie.
- 29:31Speaker 4: Ooh um.
- 29:35Speaker 8: Numb, but it still tastes pretty good.
- 29:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 29:41Speaker 1: So at the end there he is drawing a picture
- 29:45Speaker 1: of a cookie and he eats it because it looks
- 29:47Speaker 1: like a cookie. That's pretty profound advice.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I have a couple of observations. Number one, he was
- 29:56Speaker 2: painting a cookie and then he ate the paint. Your
- 30:01Speaker 2: therapist is also suffering from a severe addiction to cookies,
- 30:04Speaker 2: so he has obsessive compulsive disorder. And it also sounds
- 30:09Speaker 2: like this is where the inspiration for how mister Miagi
- 30:12Speaker 2: spoke could be.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Look, I think it's important that you go to a
- 30:19Speaker 1: therapist that understands your problems and has had problems that
- 30:22Speaker 1: they too have overcome, and that's why they want to
- 30:25Speaker 1: share their knowledge and skills with others. I like to
- 30:32Speaker 1: think that because of Cookie Monster, I will have better
- 30:35Speaker 1: mental health. The downside is I'm going to also need
- 30:39Speaker 1: a nutrition coach because because a lot of his a
- 30:43Speaker 1: lot of Cookie Monster's solutions to mental health are cookies. Yes,
- 30:48Speaker 1: But at the same time, when I saw this the
- 30:50Speaker 1: other day, I was like, you know what this. I
- 30:53Speaker 1: feel just as good after thirty seconds of watching Cookie
- 30:56Speaker 1: Monster than thirty minutes with an honest to god therapist.
- 30:59Speaker 1: So I'm just going to lean into the muppet therapy
- 31:01Speaker 1: for a while.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Was was Oscar not available?
- 31:07Speaker 1: He's full, He's not accepting new patients right now.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Also, picture you just listening to this as a sage
- 31:19Speaker 2: of therapeutic advice. And then the next thing I just
- 31:22Speaker 2: see is stand in a bubble bath with an eye
- 31:23Speaker 2: mask and a chocolate chip cookie.
- 31:25Speaker 1: That's living my best life.
- 31:27Speaker 2: That sounds like great self care.
- 31:29Speaker 4: It does.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I can dig that.
- 31:32Speaker 1: And by the way, I don't even know if Oscar
- 31:34Speaker 1: the Grouch does therapy, but I do know his life
- 31:37Speaker 1: coaching business is really taken off.
- 31:42Speaker 2: You know, He's he was the first one to have
- 31:44Speaker 2: like a mobile service because you can you can take
- 31:46Speaker 2: that trash can anywhere. Yeah, I would go with Muppet therapy.
- 31:54Speaker 2: That sounds like something you know, we grew up watching it.
- 31:57Speaker 2: It made sense. I wouldn't like, I wouldn't want to
- 31:59Speaker 2: go to snuffle up I guess for advice. He just
- 32:01Speaker 2: seems severely depressed and should be the top of Cookie
- 32:05Speaker 2: Monsters client list.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Yeah, if Sesame Street has a suicide helpline, you don't
- 32:10Speaker 1: want snuffle Upagus on the receiving end.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Although that episode would be hilarious.
- 32:23Speaker 1: At that point, I'm pretty sure public broadcasting would absolutely
- 32:26Speaker 1: be defunded.
- 32:31Speaker 5: You're in the tree House.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Listen us online at Treehouse on Air dot com. Listen
- 32:52Speaker 6: us online on air dot com.

- 33:16Speaker 1: I'm dan, he's trade. That's raj. I don't think I
- 33:20Speaker 1: ever knew that about Snufhalophagus Trey.
- 33:24Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, he was considered a figment of big
- 33:27Speaker 3: birds imagination. And then I remember that at some point, uh,
- 33:32Speaker 3: other people could see him, and then they had to
- 33:34Speaker 3: apologize to Big Bird for thinking he was like making
- 33:36Speaker 3: it up m h, and that that was the whole
- 33:39Speaker 3: thing of Uh, you know, I forgot what the I
- 33:43Speaker 3: forgot what the lesson was, but there was a lesson there.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Oh.
- 33:46Speaker 1: The idea is that sesame streets full of enablers.
- 33:51Speaker 2: They're just always given, always given Cookie Monster the cookies.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Yeah, Cookie Monster gets the cookies. They let Oscar say
- 33:57Speaker 1: all the mean things to him without any sort of consequences,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and they go on letting bid and they keep letting
- 34:03Speaker 1: Big Bird think that he's got a big, fluffy, prehistoric
- 34:07Speaker 1: looking friend.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Well I think it was designed, if I'm right, it's
- 34:12Speaker 2: for kids that had imaginary friends to not feel isolated.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Like that's like big Bird has one too, so it's
- 34:19Speaker 2: okay that I have one. And then everybody could see him.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I don't know what the catalyst for that was. And
- 34:23Speaker 2: then there's Missus snuffle up with us as well. They
- 34:26Speaker 2: brought that in. So he's got he's got a part
- 34:29Speaker 2: of like a wife and so.
- 34:30Speaker 1: So Big Bird didn't just have an imaginary friend. He
- 34:33Speaker 1: had an imaginary friend with an imaginary family.
- 34:38Speaker 4: I think it's just the life.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I don't think they I don't think they conceived during
- 34:43Speaker 2: the run.
- 34:44Speaker 1: The imaginary friend and his wife couldn't conceive. That's sad.
- 34:49Speaker 2: It's Sesame Street. Combat had so many problems, it really did.
- 34:53Speaker 1: And so yeah, I didn't. I don't know if I
- 34:55Speaker 1: ever knew or realized because I was so young when
- 34:58Speaker 1: I watched Sesame Street that snuffleuff I guess was Big
- 35:00Speaker 1: Bird's imaginary friend. Uh, I don't. There's lots of things
- 35:03Speaker 1: I don't remember since I was a child, so that's
- 35:05Speaker 1: really not a shock. But I mean I had an imagine.
- 35:09Speaker 1: I remember I had an imaginary friends as a small child.
- 35:12Speaker 1: He did not look like a muppet. He just looked
- 35:14Speaker 1: like another kid, which I'm now realizing I should never
- 35:18Speaker 1: share things with you too. That the way you two
- 35:19Speaker 1: are looking at me right now, I just need to
- 35:21Speaker 1: shut up and never talk again to you.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Got.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Yes, I had an imaginary friend. I lived in the
- 35:27Speaker 1: country and I was the only kid in my age
- 35:29Speaker 1: bracket within ten miles.
- 35:32Speaker 2: What was his name?
- 35:35Speaker 1: I think it was Timmy, Timmy, Yeah, it was a Johnny.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Maybe it was johnn Oh, I have to I'd have
- 35:40Speaker 1: to ask my mom or my sister. I'm pretty sure
- 35:42Speaker 1: that they they remember his name.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and where would you? Did you see him all
- 35:47Speaker 2: the time? Just what I was playing, just when you're
- 35:50Speaker 2: playing on like on out on the land of the
- 35:54Speaker 2: uh the rural. Yeah? Yeah, so he could have possibly
- 35:57Speaker 2: been murdered. And that's who you're saying.
- 36:01Speaker 1: So you're saying I didn't have an imaginary friend, but
- 36:04Speaker 1: that I had a ghost friend.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Yes. Yes.
- 36:10Speaker 1: The sad thing is is I can't immediately say that's
- 36:13Speaker 1: stupid because.
- 36:14Speaker 2: I don't know how was he, how was he dressed? Dan?
- 36:16Speaker 4: What? What? What did?
- 36:17Speaker 2: What did little Johnny?
- 36:19Speaker 1: Little?
- 36:19Speaker 2: What did a little Timmy Johnny where?
- 36:21Speaker 1: I don't know, I don't know we're talking about this
- 36:23Speaker 1: was this is forty years ago. I don't remember what
- 36:25Speaker 1: the kid wore.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Yeah you do, I can see it on your face.
- 36:28Speaker 1: No, I really don't.
- 36:30Speaker 2: Was there like an axe in his head?
- 36:32Speaker 4: Or no, he.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Didn't want have scared me? Did you play that fun
- 36:40Speaker 2: game of Where are My parents?
- 36:44Speaker 1: That was the thing he and I had in common.
- 36:50Speaker 1: That's how we found each other in the field. That's
- 36:53Speaker 1: when you know it's bad. When the ghost feel sad
- 36:55Speaker 1: for you. It's like, yo, that's he probably did. That's
- 36:57Speaker 1: probably why he's stuck around. He's like, man, I may
- 36:59Speaker 1: be dead, but I feel bad for this a live kid.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Me hang out with him? Blake g I Joe's and stuff.
- 37:06Speaker 2: You played g I Jos with an imaginary friend? All right, You.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Guys didn't have an imaginary friend.
- 37:14Speaker 5: No.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I couldn't even tray see. I figured Trey might because
- 37:17Speaker 1: he was an only kid. I wasn't an only kid.
- 37:20Speaker 1: My sister, though, was so much older than me that
- 37:22Speaker 1: we didn't typically play together. So I figured, if of
- 37:25Speaker 1: all of us, I thought Trey, you would have an
- 37:27Speaker 1: imaginary friend as well.
- 37:28Speaker 4: No, I had friends Dan.
- 37:34Speaker 1: Rubbing in.
- 37:38Speaker 2: They weren't wearing eighteenth century clothes and blue forming the
- 37:48Speaker 2: land name Timmy Johnny, Timmy john John.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Freaky Dead.

- 38:46Speaker 1: I have divulged way too much to you inside the
- 38:50Speaker 1: Treehouse today, so I'm gonna stop and instead I'm going
- 38:54Speaker 1: to share something not personal but instead just really kind
- 38:58Speaker 1: of funny and interesting and perhaps a bit shocking. You
- 39:02Speaker 1: guys are familiar with Oscar Meyer, right, the food company.
- 39:08Speaker 1: That means you're probably familiar with the Wiener Mobile, the
- 39:11Speaker 1: Wiener Mobile. Yes, okay, Well, the Indy five hundred is
- 39:17Speaker 1: this Sunday, and there are lots of festivities that surround
- 39:22Speaker 1: that famous race, including the Weenie five hundred. The Weeni
- 39:28Speaker 1: five hundred is the first competitive race for the entire
- 39:32Speaker 1: Wiener Mobile fleet. All six Wiener mobiles will be in
- 39:38Speaker 1: the same place at the Indy five hundred on Sunday,
- 39:42Speaker 1: competing in the Weeni five hundred. Just let that soak in.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Let you process a lot of information right there. Each
- 39:57Speaker 1: Wiener mobile will represent a is stinct regional hot Dogs
- 40:01Speaker 1: is starting to sound like the Hunger Games. Number one
- 40:05Speaker 1: is the Shy Dog. That's the the Wienermobile, representing the Midwest.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Representing the East Coast will be the New York Dog,
- 40:11Speaker 1: the Southeast is the Slaw Dog, the Southwest will be
- 40:15Speaker 1: the Sonoran Dog, the South will be represented by the
- 40:19Speaker 1: Chili Dog, and representing the Northwest will be the Seattle Dog,
