Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now on the Voice of New York.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's the Mark sim Own Show on seven tenor.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I've been gone a few days. A lot has happened.
- 0:13Speaker 1: We'll go over all of it and bring you all
- 0:15Speaker 1: the latest, all the inside scoop on everything. And Thanksgiving
- 0:21Speaker 1: is over with, thank God, it's enough with that. Thanksgiving.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Now it's the Christmas season. The tree is gonna get
- 0:27Speaker 1: lit this week, so my, but it's going to be
- 0:31Speaker 1: a big week with all this Christmas stuff. And it
- 0:33Speaker 1: looks like more tourists than ever are coming to New York.
- 0:38Speaker 1: In fact, people tell me they're trying to get a
- 0:40Speaker 1: hotel room in New York City right now in the
- 0:42Speaker 1: next couple of weeks and it's absolutely impossible. So that's
- 0:46Speaker 1: good for New York. That means tourism, which is a
- 0:49Speaker 1: major major source of revenue, is way up. And real
- 0:53Speaker 1: estate people tell me people are buying and there's no
- 0:58Speaker 1: shortage of custom and we're showing up wanting to buy
- 1:01Speaker 1: something in New York. So despite Mom, Donnie, new York
- 1:05Speaker 1: looks pretty good. Looks like everything's going to be great
- 1:08Speaker 1: this coming year. Also, remember affordability. I love to talk
- 1:13Speaker 1: about affordability. These Democrats meantime, they're the problem when it
- 1:16Speaker 1: comes to affordability, Taxing people to death, the taxes that
- 1:21Speaker 1: they put on you, especially in any blue place like
- 1:23Speaker 1: New York City tax, property tax, state tax, they just
- 1:27Speaker 1: tax you to death, which is basically a tariff. It's
- 1:30Speaker 1: personal tariffs they're putting on you. So nobody's tariffing you
- 1:34Speaker 1: more than these Democratic lawmakers with these policies and these taxes,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and that's the affordability crisis. Cut these taxes. Now, the
- 1:43Speaker 1: President got that big beautiful bill passed, and people complain
- 1:48Speaker 1: about the economy. It's not great, it's better than it was. Remember,
- 1:52Speaker 1: we inherited in this administration. They inherited a major, major mess.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Inflation as high as nine percent, and throughout the Biden
- 2:02Speaker 1: administration averaged five percent. It's now down to two and
- 2:06Speaker 1: a half percent, heading to two percent, but that won't
- 2:09Speaker 1: happen till next year. And here's the important thing to
- 2:11Speaker 1: remember about the big beautiful bill. It contained the largest
- 2:15Speaker 1: tax cut in history. And you might be saying, well,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I don't feel it. Well, it didn't kick in yet.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It kicks in in January. The big, big beautiful bill
- 2:24Speaker 1: and the tax cutting, all that doesn't start till twenty
- 2:27Speaker 1: twenty six. So in January, you'll get your tax cut,
- 2:31Speaker 1: you'll get some relief, maybe Thanksgiving weekend vacation. Everybody's off, everybody,
- 2:38Speaker 1: but not the fake news. They were working twenty four
- 2:42Speaker 1: to seven to try to get President Trump in one
- 2:45Speaker 1: way or another. Whatever they can do. They latch onto
- 2:49Speaker 1: every little thing. So the latest one is Pete Hegxath
- 2:54Speaker 1: giving his order to when you blow up the drug boat,
- 2:59Speaker 1: if there's any serve floating in the water, blow them
- 3:02Speaker 1: up to second bombing kill them, which some legal analysts
- 3:08Speaker 1: say would be war crimes. It's a controversial thing.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Now.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The good news is there's absolutely no evidence anywhere that
- 3:18Speaker 1: this happened. You may well bet it's all over the news.
- 3:21Speaker 1: What do you mean it never had Well, it all
- 3:22Speaker 1: comes from one story in the Washington Post. And in
- 3:26Speaker 1: that story, I remember, this is the Washington Post, who
- 3:29Speaker 1: all they do is go after Trump day and Night's
- 3:31Speaker 1: been going on for ten years, and ninety nine point
- 3:33Speaker 1: nine percent of their attacks on Trump turned out to
- 3:37Speaker 1: be totally false. You can check their record on that,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and in this one, they have absolutely no evidence of
- 3:45Speaker 1: any kind. They don't have a single source they can name.
- 3:48Speaker 1: They don't have a shred of evidence of any of this,
- 3:51Speaker 1: so there's no reason to think it's true. Exits that
- 3:53Speaker 1: it didn't happen, and I don't know. I would assume
- 3:58Speaker 1: it didn't happen because it's just there's no reason for it.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And again the Washington Post, if there were any evidence anywhere,
- 4:06Speaker 1: if anybody saw it, heard it, they would have had
- 4:09Speaker 1: it in the article. So they wrote this thing but
- 4:11Speaker 1: with absolutely no evidence. The President flying back to Washington
- 4:15Speaker 1: last night, was asked about it on the plane.
- 4:17Speaker 4: We'll look into it, but no, I wouldn't have wanted that,
- 4:20Speaker 4: not a second strike. The first strike was very lethal,
- 4:24Speaker 4: it was fine, and if there were two people around,
- 4:26Speaker 4: but Pete said that didn't happen, I am great confidence.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Yeah. So again, no evidence anywhere that had actually happened.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Although it doesn't matter of those crazy people in Congress.
- 4:37Speaker 1: They're going to hold hearings, investigations, there's that, but investigate
- 4:41Speaker 1: all you want, have as many hearings as you want.
- 4:44Speaker 1: There's no evidence anywhere anywhere that had happened. Now, the
- 4:49Speaker 1: other controversy that if you're watching these Sunday shows, they
- 4:52Speaker 1: were pretty desperate this weekend because it's Thanksgiving weekend, all
- 4:55Speaker 1: the big guests are away. You saw a lot of
- 4:58Speaker 1: Tim Waltz. They said to you, says, yes, it's Tim Waltz.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Everybody's putting Tim Waltz on TV. Is he making a
- 5:03Speaker 1: big combay? No, there's Thanksgiving weekend. You couldn't get anybody.
- 5:07Speaker 1: All the major names are away, so you had to
- 5:09Speaker 1: go to your B list and they were away, and
- 5:12Speaker 1: then you were down to like the D list, and
- 5:13Speaker 1: then the bottom of the barrel was Tim Waltz. If
- 5:17Speaker 1: you're watching the Sunday shows, the guests all seem to
- 5:19Speaker 1: have splinters all over them from being in the bottom
- 5:22Speaker 1: of the barrel, and that's why you saw them. They
- 5:27Speaker 1: they did go back. They're still trying. You see what
- 5:29Speaker 1: they've They've come up with something. They come up with
- 5:32Speaker 1: some plot like this Pete Hexath story, and then they
- 5:35Speaker 1: push it non stop around the clock, day and night, morning, Joe, Rachel,
- 5:40Speaker 1: Matt out of the view every day. Just keep John Stewart.
- 5:44Speaker 1: They keep pushing it, pushing it, pushing it. Finally, there's
- 5:47Speaker 1: no evidence it fizzles out. It's gone. We could go
- 5:50Speaker 1: back and name you have two hundred of these things
- 5:52Speaker 1: and then about seven eight weeks later, they just give up.
- 5:55Speaker 1: The other one is this Democrats with the illegal orders.
- 6:00Speaker 1: If you get an illegal order from Donald Trump, you
- 6:03Speaker 1: can refuse it. We will back when you get an
- 6:05Speaker 1: illegal order. Now, there's never been any hint anywhere of
- 6:09Speaker 1: anybody getting an illegal order. It's a totally non existent,
- 6:12Speaker 1: made up, fake problem. But these Democrats, backed by sorrows,
- 6:18Speaker 1: the Soros family, put up a lot of money for
- 6:21Speaker 1: this stuff. And now, I mean they think this out,
- 6:25Speaker 1: they plot this out. If you get this all over
- 6:27Speaker 1: the place, stir up this controversy. There's no never been
- 6:31Speaker 1: any even suspicion of an illegal order anywhere. But if
- 6:36Speaker 1: you start running this stuff all and now people think,
- 6:37Speaker 1: oh illegal orders. Wow. So if I were the president,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I would do it. Right Back to Mark Kelly, I
- 6:45Speaker 1: just start posting videos. If you've been raped by Mark Kelly,
- 6:50Speaker 1: you have every right to contact the police. Just run
- 6:53Speaker 1: these all over the place. If you've been raped by
- 6:55Speaker 1: Senator Mark, if you've been sexually abused by Mark Kelly,
- 6:59Speaker 1: contact the authorities, dial nine to one one of me. Now,
- 7:02Speaker 1: there's no hint that he's ever done such a thing,
- 7:05Speaker 1: no reason to think he's ever done such a thing.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But if you run this video enough and it gets
- 7:11Speaker 1: played all over the place, people are going to start
- 7:13Speaker 1: to look at him like he's a dangerous, weird, creepy guy.
- 7:16Speaker 1: So it's just creating this fake illusion that there's some
- 7:19Speaker 1: kind of illegal orders. There's no hint of it. Ever,
- 7:23Speaker 1: nothing like that has happened. Cash battel FBI director, a
- 7:28Speaker 1: lot of flack on him. Now, a lot of this
- 7:32Speaker 1: is just made up. Some of this there might be
- 7:34Speaker 1: some validity to another president's taking a keeping an eye
- 7:38Speaker 1: on cash Patel, just this management dis executive abilities within
- 7:43Speaker 1: the FBI. People say it's a little rudderless. He's good
- 7:45Speaker 1: on some things, other things he's a little sloppy. There's
- 7:50Speaker 1: people upset with you know, he's using private jets to
- 7:53Speaker 1: go on vacation and there's you know, playing golf too much,
- 7:56Speaker 1: using a lot of security security on his girlfriend, FBI guarding.
- 8:01Speaker 1: This is all a taxpayer expense. But there is some
- 8:05Speaker 1: evidence that there were death threats and the death threats
- 8:08Speaker 1: went to his girlfriend as well, so that would justify that.
- 8:12Speaker 1: The other controversy, Oh this is another one they're going
- 8:15Speaker 1: to try. The president got his yearly physical and they
- 8:21Speaker 1: took an MRI. Now they're demanding to see the MRI.
- 8:26Speaker 1: President Trump was asked about it. They thought they had him.
- 8:29Speaker 1: They're going to confront him. Will you release that MRI?
- 8:31Speaker 1: And he said yeah, okay, oh yeah, I'll release it. Yeah,
- 8:35Speaker 1: why not, which kind of stunned them. It's not unusual,
- 8:38Speaker 1: especially when you get older, if they think they see something,
- 8:42Speaker 1: you know, sometimes it's just a spot on a cat
- 8:45Speaker 1: scan or a actually got a little spot, not sure
- 8:48Speaker 1: what it is, so just for just to be safety,
- 8:50Speaker 1: oll MRI because that's more detailed. It's usually something like that.
- 8:54Speaker 1: There's no evidence that anything serious happened in the MRI.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You see. Oh they're fighting to see this. They must
- 9:01Speaker 1: see this. As if Jake Tapper will know how to
- 9:04Speaker 1: read an MRI, well, we'll get a doctor to Yeah,
- 9:07Speaker 1: you'll get one of their fake CNN doctors. In fact,
- 9:12Speaker 1: who's this Vin Gupta. They've been using him a lot MSNBC.
- 9:15Speaker 1: He's been all over television. Check out my Twitter you'll
- 9:17Speaker 1: see some very funny video where he's saying, as a doctor,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm looking at the President Trump and he looks he
- 9:23Speaker 1: clearly has cognitive decline. I can see he's not functioning properly,
- 9:27Speaker 1: doesn't look good. So we got that video and then
- 9:29Speaker 1: it's cut together with a year ago where he's saying,
- 9:32Speaker 1: Joe Biden looks fine as a doctor. I can see
- 9:35Speaker 1: he's vigorous, he looks as sharp and as so you
- 9:38Speaker 1: can't trust these MSNBC, CNN doctor types, these fake news doctors.
- 9:44Speaker 1: The National Guard shooting course a horrific story over the
- 9:47Speaker 1: holiday weekend. The guy was a he had worked with
- 9:52Speaker 1: the CIA, he was a professional assassin in Afghanistan. It's
- 9:56Speaker 1: believed that he was radicalized, that he's t to terrorism
- 10:01Speaker 1: of some kind, and that this was not just a
- 10:06Speaker 1: guy when crazy and started firing. This was some kind
- 10:09Speaker 1: of a deliberate terrorist attack plan to screw up everybody
- 10:13Speaker 1: for the Thanksgiving holiday. It happened the night before. They've
- 10:16Speaker 1: got the suspect. He was shot. They shot back and
- 10:20Speaker 1: hit him. He's not dead and looks like he'll survive,
- 10:22Speaker 1: and that'll be a hell of a trial. So we'll
- 10:25Speaker 1: get into that in more detail coming up. Frightening thing
- 10:30Speaker 1: over the last a few did frightening Andrew Cuomo speaking
- 10:35Speaker 1: about something Somewhere in the speech he hinted at a
- 10:38Speaker 1: return and some interpreted. What he was saying is that
- 10:42Speaker 1: he might be running for governor or Congress next year. Boy,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you talk about a guy with no self awareness at all,
- 10:51Speaker 1: no clue is how he's perceived by the public. The
- 10:56Speaker 1: governor's race is next year. He could run for that,
- 10:58Speaker 1: or he could run for congres. He could be a congressman,
- 11:01Speaker 1: he could be a Senator. I don't think he has
- 11:03Speaker 1: any chance of that. They don't like him in New
- 11:06Speaker 1: York City. When he ran for mayor, he had the
- 11:10Speaker 1: biggest advantage of any candidate ever. Nobody's ever had advantages
- 11:16Speaker 1: like this. They chased other people out of the race.
- 11:18Speaker 1: They told Adams to get out of the race. He
- 11:20Speaker 1: got out. They kept telling Curtis to get out. Curtis,
- 11:23Speaker 1: being a man of principal, did not get out. But
- 11:27Speaker 1: everybody everywhere was all over everything you could be watching
- 11:32Speaker 1: or seeing, telling you do not vote for Curtis, vote
- 11:34Speaker 1: for Cuomo. Everybody, including the President of the United States.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So every voter was being told by everybody on the air, online,
- 11:42Speaker 1: everywhere to vote for Cuomo. And despite that, he couldn't
- 11:46Speaker 1: win with all of that going for him, and he
- 11:48Speaker 1: was up against a complete left wing nut job and
- 11:51Speaker 1: he couldn't win, couldn't win at all, had nothing to
- 11:54Speaker 1: do with Curtis. You could have added every single Curtis
- 11:57Speaker 1: voter to his total and he still didn't come close.
- 12:00Speaker 1: He still would have lost by a number of points.
- 12:03Speaker 1: So that's New York City. Now upstate he's less popular.
- 12:07Speaker 1: So if he couldn't win New York City with every
- 12:10Speaker 1: advantage in the world, how's he gonna win upstate with
- 12:13Speaker 1: no advantages. So it's a ridiculous thing on his part. Now,
- 12:18Speaker 1: either he's just totally delusional, or it's also possible he
- 12:23Speaker 1: knows he can't win. But you put that out in
- 12:26Speaker 1: the air that you're gonna be running for governor senator,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and then all these people who you're looking at for
- 12:31Speaker 1: a job or for money, or you want them to
- 12:34Speaker 1: hire you as a lobbyist, a consultant or give you
- 12:37Speaker 1: a big executive job. It makes you more attractive, and think, oh,
- 12:40Speaker 1: this guy might be governor. I better hire him. We
- 12:42Speaker 1: should put this guy on the payroll. He could be
- 12:44Speaker 1: the senator. So that might be the other reason he's
- 12:47Speaker 1: doing it. A lot of people yelling and screaming that
- 12:49Speaker 1: we have to have a Republican party in New York.
- 12:52Speaker 1: You need a two party system. The Democratic Party is
- 12:55Speaker 1: a huge organization apparatus, a lot of infrastructure, massive amount
- 13:00Speaker 1: of workers, ground game, everything. The Republican Party is like
- 13:05Speaker 1: two guys part time in an office and nothing. There's
- 13:09Speaker 1: no Republican Party, nothing, nothing, It doesn't exist. So that
- 13:13Speaker 1: should be a goal actually for all the big Republican donors.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Create an actual Republican party with big, big, big personnel, infrastructure,
- 13:23Speaker 1: with a lot of clout. There's no Republican actual Republican parties,
- 13:26Speaker 1: a tiny little thing. Then you got these Republican clubs
- 13:30Speaker 1: that do absolutely nothing to help anybody. They just hold dinners,
- 13:35Speaker 1: try to get somebody from Fox to come be the speaker,
- 13:37Speaker 1: chase them around the room and take selfies with them.
- 13:40Speaker 1: It's usually just a bunch of old ladies. That's all
- 13:42Speaker 1: they do. It doesn't help any candidate anywhere in any election.
- 13:47Speaker 1: So creating a Republican party very very important. Here. Coming up,
- 13:53Speaker 1: we'll get to Dick Van Dyke. How do you live
- 13:55Speaker 1: to be one hundred? He had some great lessons. Oh, welso, no,
- 14:02Speaker 1: it's happening. We'll probably get an announcement later. There's you know,
- 14:06Speaker 1: casinos in New York. There's three bids left for city
- 14:10Speaker 1: casinos in New York City and the gaming whatever they
- 14:13Speaker 1: are gaming facility location board, which why are we trusting
- 14:19Speaker 1: these five people to make the decision anyway, they're going
- 14:23Speaker 1: to make the decision. Now, there's three left, three locations left,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and this board could happen in the next hour or two.
- 14:31Speaker 1: We'll make the decision.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Now.
- 14:32Speaker 1: They could decide to have all three have the casinos.
- 14:35Speaker 1: They could pick one or two, or they could decide no,
- 14:37Speaker 1: none of them, and then if they don't get through
- 14:40Speaker 1: this hearing, that's pretty much the end of it. One
- 14:43Speaker 1: of the casinos, Steve Cohen big a casino with it's
- 14:47Speaker 1: not just a casino, you want to think a hotel,
- 14:49Speaker 1: a concert venue, everything. It would be right a clo
- 14:51Speaker 1: across from from City Field, and then the other one
- 14:56Speaker 1: would be in the Bronx. That's the one I would
- 14:58Speaker 1: go with because it's a you know, when you go
- 15:00Speaker 1: over the throgs Neck, there's a golf course there that
- 15:02Speaker 1: was the Trump golf Course, and because of Trump's arrangement syndrome,
- 15:06Speaker 1: they may take the name off it and now it's valleys.
- 15:11Speaker 1: You could put one there because it might help the Bronx,
- 15:16Speaker 1: But I don't know how does it help really? It
- 15:19Speaker 1: brings in a lot of people over there over the
- 15:21Speaker 1: throgs Neck, But if you go right over the throgs Neck,
- 15:23Speaker 1: that whole area there seems to be pretty much a
- 15:26Speaker 1: big residential neighborhood. Why would they want a casino in there?
- 15:30Speaker 1: Then the other bit is aqueduct racetrack in Queen's they've
- 15:33Speaker 1: got slot machines. This would be to go full casino everything,
- 15:39Speaker 1: you know, tables and showrooms. But again, do we really
- 15:45Speaker 1: need that? Who needs that? You know? The silliest one
- 15:47Speaker 1: was Times Square. Go to Times Square tonight at midnight.
- 15:51Speaker 1: It's packed, you can't move, it's mob there's lights and
- 15:54Speaker 1: stores and everything and a million people. I mean, nobody
- 15:59Speaker 1: would stand there and crowd. It would take you an
- 16:01Speaker 1: hour to fight your way through the crowd. Nobody would
- 16:03Speaker 1: stand and go, huh, you know what this needs? A casino.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Usually put the casino where it's empty and dead and
- 16:09Speaker 1: you're trying to bring it back. You don't usually put
- 16:12Speaker 1: it in a place where it's two crowded to begin with,
- 16:14Speaker 1: and it's going twenty four hours a day non stup. Anyway,
- 16:17Speaker 1: we've got a lot to get to. We'll get to
- 16:19Speaker 1: Mom Donnie, We'll get to Luigi Mangion, We'll get to
- 16:23Speaker 1: Black Friday. It looks like it was the best one
- 16:25Speaker 1: ever on record. So you know, when you see these
- 16:27Speaker 1: surveys of people the consumer confidence wait wait, waitit way down.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Don't go by what people sometimes get conned to say
- 16:35Speaker 1: things in a pull. The fact is they spent more
- 16:37Speaker 1: money this Black Friday than ever, so that tells you
- 16:41Speaker 1: more than the opinions do. We'll take some calls in
- 16:44Speaker 1: a minute. Eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 16:47Speaker 1: ten is the number. Eight hundred three to two one
- 16:51Speaker 1: zero seven ten.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Give woor oh, Bri said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 16:55Speaker 2: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in and
- 16:59Speaker 2: in hell back to the Mark Simo show on wor.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Hey, Let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 17:10Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Joe
- 17:14Speaker 1: in New York City. Joe, how you doing.
- 17:17Speaker 6: New York City mayor election? Mark? Mark the next one.
- 17:21Speaker 6: We need help from Brooklyn Vincent to go get rid
- 17:24Speaker 6: of that communist moment. Danny Riowami, I mean we need
- 17:29Speaker 6: elder statesman spokes with Vincent.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Well, actually, you know, you bring up, believe it or not,
- 17:33Speaker 1: in all that mess there. You just said there was
- 17:35Speaker 1: a point in there somewhere. We got to go back
- 17:37Speaker 1: to getting like real serious people to run for office.
- 17:42Speaker 1: You know, it used to be serious types. You know,
- 17:45Speaker 1: Rudy Giuliani with a ton of experience, an incredible resume,
- 17:48Speaker 1: or even you know David Dinkins. You might say, well,
- 17:51Speaker 1: I wasn't a great mayor, but you know, a couple
- 17:54Speaker 1: of decades in public service and a very well spoken, articulate,
- 17:58Speaker 1: reasonable sort of a man. George Patakia, people like that.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Now look at the people you got running for office.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Mam Donnie's twelve years old, he became a citizen a
- 18:08Speaker 1: couple of months ago, never had a job. You got
- 18:11Speaker 1: people even worse, believe it or not. You know, Mam Donnie.
- 18:14Speaker 1: When he leaves the Assembly, somebody's got to run for
- 18:17Speaker 1: a seat. You should see the three candidates that were running.
- 18:20Speaker 1: They're crazier than Ma'm donnie. They're more left, more ridiculous
- 18:24Speaker 1: than so. I don't know. Well, we'll get into this later.
- 18:27Speaker 1: What happened to the Democratic Party and why this is happening.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike, how you doing,
- 18:34Speaker 1: good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 18:36Speaker 3: I hope you had a good Thanksgiving break.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, the people say, boy, you should never retire.
- 18:43Speaker 1: If you had nothing to do all day, it's awful.
- 18:45Speaker 1: You know what, it was great, It was phenomenal. You
- 18:47Speaker 1: enjoyed having nothing to do. But go ahead, it's nice.
- 18:50Speaker 3: It's nice doing nothing all day. But I was going
- 18:51Speaker 3: to point out that the Democrats have two things that
- 18:53Speaker 3: they're very cunning about. One is they'll put a topic
- 18:57Speaker 3: out there, such as the illegal bombing of the speedboat
- 19:00Speaker 3: drug dealers. They're not fisherman the speedboats.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Uh.
- 19:04Speaker 3: And then Republicans take debate and they go, wow, we'll
- 19:06Speaker 3: hold you know, we'll hold an investigation and we'll see.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Well, it's not Republicans taking the bait. Even in the
- 19:12Speaker 1: Republican Congress, you got a lot of them that hate
- 19:14Speaker 1: Donald Trump. They're looking for trouble. So it's like this
- 19:18Speaker 1: Andy McCarthy, great guy, Andy McCarthy, brilliant guy, but he
- 19:21Speaker 1: hates Trump. He hates Trump. So whenever they write an
- 19:23Speaker 1: opportunity to pounce, Andy McCarthy takes it otherwise, And the.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Other the other thing they do is they have their
- 19:30Speaker 3: little group of guys. So now this, you know, the
- 19:33Speaker 3: flavor of the monk is Mark Kelly. You know when
- 19:36Speaker 3: it's you know, it used to be Adam Schiff for
- 19:38Speaker 3: Jamie Raskin or Maxine Waters, and they put him out
- 19:41Speaker 3: there and they're just very devoutly stick to the script.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Yeah, well that's a good point, Mike Yea, thanks for
- 19:48Speaker 1: calling the thing with Mark Kelly. The way he looks,
- 19:51Speaker 1: he looks like a very serious, older, you know guy,
- 19:55Speaker 1: like an old pompous or not pompous, but a very
- 19:59Speaker 1: somber old guy, you know, traditional old sort of a guy.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And then you're like, oh, he's an astronaut, he was
- 20:05Speaker 1: in the military. That seems like a very old fashioned
- 20:08Speaker 1: sort of a So he was talking about running for president,
- 20:11Speaker 1: got nowhere. So now it's all different with him because
- 20:15Speaker 1: you see him all over television acting like a left
- 20:17Speaker 1: wing cook, like a flame throwing hate the president, left wing,
- 20:20Speaker 1: spewing hatred. Now that Democrats like him, Aha, this guy's great.
- 20:25Speaker 1: You know when he looked traditional, reasonable, no interest. Now
- 20:28Speaker 1: that he's like spewing nonsense and fishes hate. Now they
- 20:32Speaker 1: love the guy. Let's go to Jerry in Greenwich, Connecticut. Jerry,
- 20:35Speaker 1: how you doing.
- 20:36Speaker 7: I'm doing well, Mark, thank you for taking my call.
- 20:40Speaker 7: I'm not joking. I'm eighty six years old, and I
- 20:43Speaker 7: would like to know if there is a college, a
- 20:46Speaker 7: special college for all these democrats to go and graduate
- 20:50Speaker 7: for lying to the American people. If there's a special college,
- 20:55Speaker 7: because haven't never heard so many people like.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Oh, you mean a special college to teach craziness lying
- 21:00Speaker 1: left wing? Yes there is. It's called Yale, it's called Harvard,
- 21:03Speaker 1: it's called Columbia, it's called it's every Mayor Ivy League college.
- 21:09Speaker 7: I knew there was some college that they go to
- 21:11Speaker 7: learn to lie. Anyway, thank you, have a good day.
- 21:16Speaker 1: All right, thanks for calling. Yeah. You know, the problem is,
- 21:18Speaker 1: see the left wing, the crazy George Soros left, they're
- 21:22Speaker 1: like the communist Chinese. They plot like one hundred years out.
- 21:26Speaker 6: You know.
- 21:26Speaker 1: Republicans are all busy going to work every day. They
- 21:29Speaker 1: plot like two days out. You know, these democrats they
- 21:31Speaker 1: plot look for decades. So the plot years ago was
- 21:36Speaker 1: to infiltrate the colleges, get rid of the professor, put
- 21:38Speaker 1: in left wing professors, real left wing professors. Then left
- 21:43Speaker 1: wing people on the board, to trustees, presidents all that.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So they became these left wing communists and Doctrine Nation centers.
- 21:52Speaker 1: You send and you have so many people afraid to
- 21:54Speaker 1: send the kid to college. You know, used to your
- 21:56Speaker 1: kid got accepted at Harvard. You like cry, You're so happy.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Now you cry because you're scared he's going to come
- 22:01Speaker 1: back up a total communist. There's a lot of these
- 22:03Speaker 1: stories about a guy who fled Cuba on a life
- 22:08Speaker 1: round a raft and got to Miami. Somehow. He's trying
- 22:10Speaker 1: to escape communism, socialism. He came to America, people like
- 22:14Speaker 1: Jerry worked hard, became very very successful. Now they're able
- 22:19Speaker 1: to send their kid to Harvard. And this guy sends
- 22:21Speaker 1: his kid to Harvard. He comes back at communist. Guess
- 22:25Speaker 1: but his whole life trying to escape communism. His son
- 22:27Speaker 1: comes back at communists. But we'll get more into this.
- 22:29Speaker 1: What happened to the Democratic Party? How did it go
- 22:32Speaker 1: so far to the kooky left? A little later, Hey,
- 22:35Speaker 1: Michael Goodwin not with us today on vacation. It's Thanksgiving.
- 22:39Speaker 1: But we'll talk to the brilliant columnist Liz Peak next
- 22:43Speaker 1: on seven to ten War, where.
- 22:46Speaker 2: Your comes for common sense Mark Simone on sevent ten.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Wor well Liz Peak the brilliant columnists. Course, you see
- 22:55Speaker 1: her all over television, and make sure you go to
- 22:58Speaker 1: her website where you get the best news and analysis.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It's lizpeak dot com and you can sign up. They'll
- 23:05Speaker 1: email you every day with all the latest great news, analysis,
- 23:07Speaker 1: all sorts of interesting stuff. Lizpeak dot com. Liz Peak,
- 23:12Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 23:14Speaker 8: I am terrific. I'm recovering from Thanksgiving? How about you?
- 23:18Speaker 1: I'm so glad it's over because I don't want one
- 23:20Speaker 1: more person? What do you do on Thanksgiving? Everybody has
- 23:23Speaker 1: the same stupid story. You know. I went to my sister,
- 23:25Speaker 1: We went to my uncle's, we went to my daughter.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It's all the same. It's like saying, what do you have?
- 23:32Speaker 8: Yeah, what did you have for Thanksgiving dinner?
- 23:34Speaker 1: Uh?
- 23:34Speaker 8: Turkey?
- 23:36Speaker 1: So Hey, New York where you're talking about this? Apparently
- 23:40Speaker 1: you cannot get a hotel room in New York City
- 23:41Speaker 1: in the coming weeks. Real estate agents said they got
- 23:44Speaker 1: tons of clients. So I guess people aren't afraid of mom.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Donnie should should? We just figure things will be like Deblasio,
- 23:50Speaker 1: We'll get through it.
- 23:52Speaker 8: Well, that's a good question.
- 23:54Speaker 5: People are downplaying the radical team he is assembling. I
- 23:59Speaker 5: mean it is radical, Mark, you got to say. I
- 24:02Speaker 5: mean he's got someone newly appointed person to watch to
- 24:07Speaker 5: head up the transportation Department, who I guess is anti
- 24:11Speaker 5: car so that's a useful kind of credential for figuring
- 24:17Speaker 5: out how to improve our traffic. He's got an education
- 24:21Speaker 5: head who is viciously anti Charter, so that's not very wonderful.
- 24:28Speaker 5: I mean, if you just kind of look at all
- 24:29Speaker 5: the various things he's done, other than keeping Jessica Tish
- 24:33Speaker 5: the police commissioner in place, I'd say pretty much everything
- 24:36Speaker 5: he's done is right out of the most left wing
- 24:39Speaker 5: handbook you could possibly write, and not very encouraging. Are
- 24:43Speaker 5: people basically looking past it? I don't think they know
- 24:46Speaker 5: what to expect, Mark, I mean, we had a horrible mayor,
- 24:50Speaker 5: build a Blasio for eight years, despised by everybody I
- 24:55Speaker 5: know and that you know, who had horrible policies, wrecked
- 24:59Speaker 5: a prosperous, safe city, and he really did. I mean
- 25:03Speaker 5: he came in after twelve years, twelve years of Mike Bloomberg, who,
- 25:07Speaker 5: whether you love Mike Bloomberg or not, he promoted a
- 25:10Speaker 5: safe city, prosperous city, attracted new industries to our town,
- 25:15Speaker 5: et cetera. And Bill Deblasio basically set out to undermine
- 25:19Speaker 5: all of that, which was just an astonishing decision. So,
- 25:24Speaker 5: you know, I think they're sort of thinking, well, if
- 25:25Speaker 5: we could survive de Blasio, we could survive this guy.
- 25:28Speaker 5: But you know, I think this guy's worse. I mean,
- 25:31Speaker 5: Deblasio was so kind of all over the place. Yes,
- 25:36Speaker 5: ideologically left wing, but really really lazy and inefficient and incompetent.
- 25:41Speaker 5: This guy, who knows maybe turns out to be more competent,
- 25:44Speaker 5: and that'd be really a disaster for us.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Although everything we've just said is identical to de Blasio.
- 25:50Speaker 1: He had a transportation guy, he hated cars, had a
- 25:53Speaker 1: yeah it was anti charter, and he brought in a
- 25:56Speaker 1: top police commissioner, butody respected Bill Braddon. So most of
- 26:00Speaker 1: these people with Mam Donnie are ex Deblasio administration people.
- 26:03Speaker 8: But that's true, that is true.
- 26:06Speaker 5: I mean, really, other than Harvard hiring Deblasio to teach
- 26:11Speaker 5: courses there, which really just makes your head explode when
- 26:15Speaker 5: you realize that he was truly one of the worst
- 26:17Speaker 5: mayor for the city history.
- 26:20Speaker 8: It's hard to find.
- 26:22Speaker 5: Anyone who could really imagine that hiring the people left
- 26:25Speaker 5: over from his dreadful and by the way, somewhat corrupt
- 26:30Speaker 5: regime would be people.
- 26:32Speaker 8: You want to hire.
- 26:33Speaker 5: But there you are. And it's not just Deblasio people.
- 26:36Speaker 5: I mean also, Mam Donnie's hiring this has hired this person.
- 26:39Speaker 5: Lena Khan Nina Khan is someone who has made a
- 26:43Speaker 5: reputation as being basically a anti big business. She was
- 26:48Speaker 5: part of the Biden administration and worked very hard to
- 26:54Speaker 5: undermine any kind of mergers and combinations that would work
- 26:58Speaker 5: for business, arguing that anything big was bad. So you know,
- 27:02Speaker 5: that's not a great sign, right in terms of his
- 27:06Speaker 5: interest in fomenting successful businesses in New York. I don't
- 27:10Speaker 5: think there's much you can sort of hang on to
- 27:12Speaker 5: here in the way of good news. But you know,
- 27:14Speaker 5: we all we always look forward to something getting better,
- 27:18Speaker 5: and I hope it does. I hope the cold water
- 27:22Speaker 5: of reality washes over this guy and his group and
- 27:25Speaker 5: they realize that they actually have to promote progress here
- 27:29Speaker 5: and not just ideology.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, you were talking of this before the big
- 27:34Speaker 1: beautiful bill had the biggest tax cuts ever. But people say, well,
- 27:38Speaker 1: I don't feel it whereas it well, it doesn't kick
- 27:41Speaker 1: in until January, so once you get past the new year,
- 27:43Speaker 1: these tax cuts and other things kick in. So it
- 27:46Speaker 1: could be a very very good year for the Trump administration,
- 27:48Speaker 1: couldn't it.
- 27:50Speaker 8: I think it will be, certainly.
- 27:52Speaker 5: Kevin Hasseid, who's head of the Council of Economic Advisors,
- 27:56Speaker 5: Scott Besson, the Treasury Secretary of all but they both
- 27:59Speaker 5: talked about being a gangbuster twenty twenty six. And yes,
- 28:02Speaker 5: some of it is because of not only pro business
- 28:07Speaker 5: tax deductions and write offs and so forth that will
- 28:10Speaker 5: encourage investment by businesses, but also for people. I mean,
- 28:13Speaker 5: you're getting a bigger standard deduction, you're getting no taxes
- 28:17Speaker 5: on tips at a certain level.
- 28:20Speaker 8: You know, there's a lot of good news to come
- 28:23Speaker 8: out of this tax bill.
- 28:24Speaker 5: It is really amazing to me Mark how bad bad
- 28:28Speaker 5: Republicans are at promoting policies that have been in place,
- 28:33Speaker 5: like the big beautiful bill, when it was last time
- 28:35Speaker 5: you ever heard of Republican in Congress actually extolling the
- 28:39Speaker 5: benefits of this. They're in a defensive crouch because Democrats
- 28:44Speaker 5: have been hammering away on how it's only a handout
- 28:46Speaker 5: for the rich.
- 28:47Speaker 8: Mind you, any tax cuts are a handout.
- 28:50Speaker 5: To people who pay taxes, and yes, that's probably not
- 28:54Speaker 5: the bottom forty percent of the country who pay no taxes.
- 28:57Speaker 8: So this is a bill that will help.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I also think the twenty twenty six we're going to
- 29:04Speaker 5: actually see the incoming money from companies and countries that
- 29:11Speaker 5: a vowed to spend a lot of money and new
- 29:12Speaker 5: investments in the United States.
- 29:14Speaker 8: This is not a fiction.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Democrats totally dismissed this, but you've had many pharmaceutical companies
- 29:22Speaker 5: saying they're going to build new facilities in America. Many
- 29:25Speaker 5: countries are coming here to build data centers and other operations.
- 29:29Speaker 8: Factories are expanding.
- 29:31Speaker 5: If you look on the website, the White House website
- 29:35Speaker 5: has a list of it, and it is hundreds of
- 29:37Speaker 5: billions of dollars. It's really impressive. Now are we seeing
- 29:41Speaker 5: it right now? We are seeing I think I did
- 29:45Speaker 5: a search recently of new factories that are shovel.
- 29:48Speaker 8: In the ground. There are maybe twenty of them underway now.
- 29:51Speaker 6: Mark.
- 29:52Speaker 5: That's going to accelerate next year and you're going to
- 29:54Speaker 5: see the benefits of that in terms of hiring, construction, hiring. Eventually,
- 29:59Speaker 5: fact vere hiring and also production here in the United States.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Will it all be as labor intensive as factories in
- 30:08Speaker 5: the past. No, We're going to have more AI, more robotics,
- 30:12Speaker 5: but better here producing value added than overseas. And I
- 30:16Speaker 5: think I think, you know, coming into the midterms, Republicans
- 30:20Speaker 5: are going to need to have a good economic story.
- 30:23Speaker 8: I think there's a very good chance they will have.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, years ago, we decided to outsource all
- 30:28Speaker 1: our manufacturing, and people argued, it's a nightmare as far
- 30:32Speaker 1: as defense. You know, we can't have all our weapons,
- 30:35Speaker 1: our medicines, everything made over. It's got all kinds of
- 30:37Speaker 1: But I don't think we ever realized in the end,
- 30:39Speaker 1: as much as it might save money on manufacturing, it
- 30:42Speaker 1: would economically damage the country. So thank god for Donald Trump,
- 30:46Speaker 1: right bringing it back.
- 30:49Speaker 5: Yeah, and you know, Joe Biden talked about on shoring,
- 30:53Speaker 5: bringing stuff back to the United States, but really didn't
- 30:55Speaker 5: do anything to promote that, because what do you need
- 30:58Speaker 5: to do. You need to lower taxes, what did Biden do?
- 31:00Speaker 5: He raise taxes? You need to reduce regulations. What did
- 31:04Speaker 5: Biden do?
- 31:04Speaker 8: He increase regulation? So, yes, the Trump story is a
- 31:08Speaker 8: very good story. A lot of country.
- 31:11Speaker 5: Companies in Europe and Asia are looking at the United
- 31:14Speaker 5: States and saying, hey, here's a pro business administration. If
- 31:18Speaker 5: we can come in there and take advantage of again
- 31:23Speaker 5: copious energy, low taxes, and regulation.
- 31:27Speaker 8: We want to be there. You know, talk to any
- 31:30Speaker 8: business manager in Europe.
- 31:32Speaker 5: Operating in Europe is a disaster, and you know, more
- 31:35Speaker 5: and more the head of the EU is talking about
- 31:38Speaker 5: how they have to get in line with the kinds
- 31:41Speaker 5: of policies that we're adopting, because otherwise they are dead.
- 31:44Speaker 5: They are just basically dead in the water. They're not growing.
- 31:48Speaker 5: The United States is growing, and that is the difference
- 31:51Speaker 5: between poverty and productivity and profitability. And Americans really can
- 31:57Speaker 5: look forward to that.
- 31:58Speaker 8: These aren't just talking. This is actually how the world works.
- 32:01Speaker 5: And if you look, there's been a fifteen year period
- 32:04Speaker 5: up through twenty twenty three where I think the United
- 32:06Speaker 5: States grew eighty seven percent and Europe grew about ten percent.
- 32:10Speaker 8: That is literally true, and boyd the difference in terms.
- 32:13Speaker 5: Of people's income, people quality of life is vast, and
- 32:18Speaker 5: Americans really kind of need to take stock of that
- 32:21Speaker 5: and count their blessings and say, yeah, you know, we
- 32:23Speaker 5: want to grow. We want to add jobs for people,
- 32:28Speaker 5: We want to add wealth to people. That's what makes
- 32:31Speaker 5: our country special. So I think, yeah, I think this
- 32:34Speaker 5: is all going to work.
- 32:35Speaker 8: It's just right now.
- 32:37Speaker 5: You know, you have a lot of obstructionist judges slowing
- 32:41Speaker 5: up the works in terms of getting rid of regulation,
- 32:45Speaker 5: and you know, not all the states are on board
- 32:47Speaker 5: to this. But I think honestly, the long term picture
- 32:50Speaker 5: here is still very very clear and very positive.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Very well said Liz Peak. Brilliant as always. If you
