- 0:08Hello you guys and welcome back to Ambitious Today.
- 0:11Still, if you are watching this on YouTube right now, I am still
- 0:16not at home. So I am at this moment actually
- 0:20staying with one of my girlfriends in Calgary in
- 0:22Canada, and we are heading to a marketing conference this week,
- 0:27going to learn from the likes of Gary, the head marketing execs
- 0:32of Pepsi and Barbie and Levi's and all of the different
- 0:36companies. And just very, yeah, excited to
- 0:40be able to learn from so many different people.
- 0:41And I definitely will be doing an episode after the conference
- 0:45this week to kind of go over some of the different things
- 0:48that I've learned, some of the different awarenesses that came
- 0:50from the conference because I feel like I'm just going to have
- 0:51pages and pages of notes. And what better thing,
- 0:54especially if you're, you know, not able to attend these things
- 0:57or, you know, for me, when I have peers, I'm like, OK, give
- 0:59me all, give me all of the goods.
- 1:01Give me all of the details of like what you learn, what your
- 1:04awarenesses were like, give it all to me.
- 1:06And so I will definitely be coming back and doing an episode
- 1:08for you guys on a little bit more on the personal side.
- 1:13Update recently had some news that I was going to be having
- 1:19some changes happen in my personal life.
- 1:21And basically had an awareness I had plans of something that I
- 1:25was kind of hoping to do. And since some of my most recent
- 1:28life changes thought I was going to go one way in a sense, I
- 1:32thought my life was going to look a certain way for the next
- 1:33little bit. And yeah, things have just been,
- 1:37I've been in the season of like really kind of understanding
- 1:40surrender and like really learning aggressively to embrace
- 1:45that perspective and really learn how to embody that at the
- 1:48deepest level. I, you know, have struggled at
- 1:51times as maybe you have as well in these moments where things
- 1:56are just not going the way that you had planned.
- 1:58They're not going, you know, at the timeline you had planned in
- 2:02the way you had planned, the sequence of how you had planned
- 2:04it. And I will be honest, when I had
- 2:07some kind of like recent news of like a plan that I had not going
- 2:10that way and not going to be possible any longer, Yeah, it
- 2:13felt a little bit overwhelming. I was just like, OK, like I feel
- 2:16like I'm losing control. I feel like this is just like I,
- 2:19I didn't feel in the driver's seat.
- 2:21And I realized that one of the best skills I actually have
- 2:25learned in my business is like, to adapt and to react and to
- 2:29know how to, you know, do that without it being emotion driving
- 2:33the show. And something that, you know,
- 2:36with this recent news of kind of, you know, needing to move
- 2:40and all kinds of stuff connected to it, it felt overwhelming
- 2:43because I wasn't in control. And then I started to think
- 2:46about, OK, well, like, what can I control?
- 2:47And I did learn a phrase from a past mentor of this aspect of
- 2:52like, really the motto and the perspective of like bite by bite
- 2:55and piece by piece. And, you know, it's kind of my
- 2:57take away as we start today's episode, something that I want
- 3:00to just like invite you to is to look at somewhere in your life
- 3:04where you feel like you're trying to fix it all now.
- 3:08You're trying to get it all figured out now.
- 3:09Like we're not, we're looking at how we're going to fix all the
- 3:12marketing. We're going to look at how we're
- 3:14going to fix, you know, for me, my entire life in the next X
- 3:17amount of time. And what I realized was like,
- 3:19the reason I'm feeling overwhelmed is because I don't
- 3:22have that. I don't have that information.
- 3:23I don't even necessarily have the plan of that, the vision of
- 3:26that just yet. And the the motto of the bite by
- 3:30bite or the piece by piece. Well, it seems really simple.
- 3:34You know, sometimes the simplest things can be the the most
- 3:38helpful because they're also the most easy for us to integrate.
- 3:41And the aspect of byte by byte has really been something that's
- 3:44allowed me to say, OK, well, instead of like us looking at,
- 3:47for example, all of the marketing, let's look at the
- 3:49first post. Let's just go Live Today.
- 3:51Let's just go on our stories today.
- 3:52Let's just send the e-mail. Let's just put up the sales
- 3:55page. Like let's just get the first
- 3:56piece done on the track toward where we want to be and where we
- 4:01want to end up. And so, you know, even for me in
- 4:04traveling, I got recent news that I had to basically, you
- 4:06know, find somewhere to live. And so originally it felt a
- 4:11little bit overwhelming. And so again, in the aspect of
- 4:15surrender, I basically was like, hey, called in my support system
- 4:18and said, like, can you guys help me?
- 4:20Because this is just kind of where we're at.
- 4:22And anyway, Long story short, have, you know, found a place
- 4:25that I've now secured and will be moving into and you know all
- 4:29of that, but it was really overwhelming because I'm just
- 4:31like, I'm literally not home and I'm not at a place where I would
- 4:34need to be to find somewhere and yet trying to make this happen.
- 4:38And so I also found that when we have these situations like or go
- 4:46through painful situations or painful circumstances, I was
- 4:49listening to a video on this past Sunday and I heard heard
- 4:54someone talking about the kind of concept of the fact that when
- 4:59we go through these situations or when we go through painful
- 5:01circumstances, whether that's for you and your business, maybe
- 5:04it's in a relationship right now, maybe it's with your
- 5:06health, maybe it's with anything that might be happening in your
- 5:09world financially, whatever the factor may be, I think, you
- 5:13know, really looking at our perspective of pain.
- 5:15And there was a kind of quote shared that I really just want
- 5:18to share with you before we start today, which was that our
- 5:21pain is our passport to our purpose.
- 5:25And when I heard that, it just like it just hit for me because
- 5:33when I was listening to this sermon, it was just like it was
- 5:37in between and in all the different messaging.
- 5:39But when I heard it, it just like hit me in my heart.
- 5:42It just downloaded and it was really just a really simplified
- 5:47way of like looking at painful circumstances for us.
- 5:50It can be overwhelming. It can be the instances where we
- 5:53feel like genuinely hurt by something.
- 5:54We feel like things are not going our way.
- 5:57And what I've realized in this process, and you know, I've been
- 5:59kind of trying to still unpack it.
- 6:01So it's still a little messy in the sense of the clarity for me.
- 6:04But something that I've realized is that like all of us as
- 6:07entrepreneurs and as individuals, frankly go through
- 6:10painful situations. All of us are going to
- 6:12experience painful circumstances at some point in the next, you
- 6:16know, month and six months and year and two years and 10 years.
- 6:19And so the difference is not the absence of pain.
- 6:22Like actually when you really think about it, a lot of the
- 6:26things that we've gone through that have been painful
- 6:27circumstances for us or difficult circumstances have
- 6:31been the thing that have been the catalyst and have been the
- 6:33pathway toward the thing that we ultimately desire.
- 6:35And so something that I've just really been sitting with
- 6:38recently is this aspect of surrender and the power of
- 6:41surrender and realizing that what is happening around us is,
- 6:46yes, resistance. There can be things that happen
- 6:48in your life that are resistant or in your business that are
- 6:50resistant, but it's like this is the past.
- 6:53The passport to the purpose of you.
- 6:55This is the passport to the purpose of you and your business
- 6:59and what you're meant to do. And even when I think about, you
- 7:02know, resistances I have in my life, this is the passport to
- 7:05the person I'm supposed to become and my ultimate purpose
- 7:08in this world. And the same thing is true in
- 7:10business. Like this is my passport.
- 7:12The situation in business, this circumstance, this scenario,
- 7:15this problem in whatever department it's in, this pain
- 7:20that I'm experiencing is the passport to the purpose of where
- 7:24I'm supposed to be and where I'm supposed to end up.
- 7:26And so I just, I heard that phrase and it just really
- 7:28resonated with me. I just wanted to share that with
- 7:30you as a little insight to kind of kick off today.
- 7:33And so to introduce today's topic for you, as you may have
- 7:36seen in the title, something that obviously you know is that
- 7:39I've been doing business coaching for a couple years now,
- 7:41OK, I've been a bit doing business coaching for 6 plus
- 7:43years. I've worked with all different
- 7:45types of industries. I have worked with all different
- 7:47stages of businesses. And as a result, I will say that
- 7:51there really are key success metrics when it comes to looking
- 7:56at different stages of business and frankly like how to quote UN
- 7:58quote when when it comes to the different stages of business.
- 8:01And so the intention of today's episode is that we're going to
- 8:04be breaking down each of the different levels of business and
- 8:08kind of the categories of how I would recommend that people sort
- 8:11them. And within those categories, the
- 8:13focus is you're going to want to have.
- 8:14And I'm also going to give you some insight as well as to
- 8:17within my specific business, what were some of the things
- 8:20that I really doubled down on during that stage and that I
- 8:22really focused on to help the business to kind of catapult to
- 8:25the next level. So all of that to be said, let's
- 8:27get into today's episode. So a little bit of the context
- 8:31when we're going into different stages of business, one of the
- 8:33things that I often echo to clients, and you guys have
- 8:36probably heard me say this on stories, you may have heard me
- 8:39say it on other episodes, is really this aspect of new level
- 8:43new devil. And that's something we hear a
- 8:45lot. And I mean, I don't love the
- 8:47idea of like new level new devil as a language, but I do
- 8:50understand the philosophy or the perspective from which it's
- 8:52coming from. And so the way that I look at
- 8:55evolution in business and kind of like spanning your business
- 8:57and scaling your business is that realistically all
- 9:00businesses experience problems. And so the only thing that
- 9:04really truly is going to change when you're experiencing your
- 9:07business and scaling it to the next level, the biggest aspect
- 9:10of development or adjustment that's going to happen in your
- 9:13business is not actually the absence of problems, because
- 9:16problems are going to persist in your entire business for a very,
- 9:20very long time. It's not about us removing
- 9:23problems as much as growing in your business and scaling in
- 9:26your business is about shifting your perspective in the way in
- 9:29which you experience those problems.
- 9:32And So what I want to break down is really the philosophy of how
- 9:37I want you to look at growth because growth, yes, has an
- 9:41aspect which we're going to get into today of what your focus is
- 9:43should be per stage of business. So like what should be at
- 9:46certain stages of business be looking to master in order to
- 9:49grow to the next level. There is themes in that, but
- 9:52there also is an aspect here of like the problems persisted each
- 9:54stage. One of the things that does
- 9:57change though, and that needs to change, is your perspective from
- 10:01which you perceive those problems.
- 10:03So how do you experience the new problems that come up, but
- 10:06simply change your perception of those problems in order to
- 10:11present different pathways to what it is that you want to
- 10:15achieve and the outcome you're looking to desire?
- 10:17And so I explained to clients, growth is about experiencing the
- 10:21same, if not bigger problems, but simply changing your
- 10:25perspective of them in order to see different pathways to
- 10:29solving them. That is literally all it is.
- 10:31Every business has failed payments, every business has
- 10:35marketing hurdles, every business has sales demands.
- 10:38Like all of that still persists in every business.
- 10:41It's just a matter of the CEO and the leader at the at the
- 10:44head of the table, if you will, is somebody who has the ability
- 10:49to look at those problems that information presented to them
- 10:52and say, OK, here's how I receive this data and
- 10:55information. And here's what I think we
- 10:56should do about it versus the person next to them who may not
- 11:00have either the same skill set, the same mindset or same tool
- 11:03sets when it comes to business. So the thing that the reason I
- 11:06wanted to talk about this is because when you're not aware of
- 11:11what we're going to cover today, and if you aren't aware of the
- 11:14stages and if you don't know what your focus items should be,
- 11:16there is actually a risk in that.
- 11:18And so one of the risks in that being that if you're not aware
- 11:22of how your business is progressing, IE the stage that
- 11:25it's AT and what that stage requires of you, what basically
- 11:29ends up happening is that you will stay stuck potentially at
- 11:32your current stage. Because you may be, and I can't
- 11:35say for sure, but you may be wasting resources or wasting
- 11:39opportunities that are right underneath your nose in your
- 11:41business. Because the way in which you're
- 11:43operating your business now is the same as you used to.
- 11:46And it's not really going to move the needle for you because
- 11:48for where you're at, it's not going to help.
- 11:51And so sometimes what we find is when someone's not aware of the
- 11:55different types of stages in a business, they basically use
- 11:58strategies or use approaches that are no longer helpful for
- 12:02where you're at. And so that's number one risk #1
- 12:06if you don't know the stages of business and the focus is at
- 12:09each one of the stages, you may be trying strategies and using
- 12:12approaches or having perspectives that are not really
- 12:15ultimately going to move the needle for you.
- 12:17Now 2 is the fact that you actually may not realize that by
- 12:22your business expanding, which is again a good thing, by your
- 12:24business growing, that when your business expands, your capacity
- 12:30as the CEO and as the leader of that business changes.
- 12:33And So what that means is that you need to be aware of how your
- 12:38role as the CEO is going to change when you're in the
- 12:42different stages of the business, IE when you're someone
- 12:45looking to hit a 10K month, your role, IE where you're leveraged
- 12:49in the business, your capacity that you have to give, the time,
- 12:52the resources, the energy you have versus that of the
- 12:55$3,000,000 business is very, very different.
- 12:58And so it really is important in my opinion that you recognize
- 13:02that not only should the focus of the business change, but also
- 13:06your capacity as the lead of the business also is going to
- 13:09greatly change. And so we need to make sure that
- 13:12you're aware of how your role needs to shift as the business
- 13:15itself shifts as well. The other thing as well, which I
- 13:18also will see is that you often will see when you're someone
- 13:23who's not Privy to, again, the kind of focus items per stage of
- 13:26the business. You may find that your
- 13:28competitors are actually surpassing you.
- 13:31Like you feel like everybody else around you is growing, but
- 13:33you're not growing and you can't seem to figure out why.
- 13:36There are times when this happens when someone kind of
- 13:38gets stuck in the way that they've always done things and
- 13:41they really don't look to adapt. They don't look to adjust or
- 13:44kind of change the way that they approach their business.
- 13:47And that's typically because they don't have an awareness.
- 13:50And so one of the things there's a model that I can have you
- 13:53Google if you want to kind of take your your notes on your
- 13:56phone out if you're driving, you're good, come back to this
- 13:59and posit. But there's actually a model
- 14:01that I would love for you to look up, which is the stages of
- 14:03competence. And the stages of competence was
- 14:06a model that I was taught in coaching that was immensely
- 14:08helpful for me. And it basically talks about the
- 14:10different levels of awareness. And these levels of awareness
- 14:14are something that's really important for you as a business
- 14:15owner to understand, because when you understand the levels
- 14:18of awareness, you're able to really give yourself, frankly,
- 14:21the permission slip for not knowing, but also give yourself
- 14:24the understanding of what's needed for you to be able to
- 14:26develop. And so the reason I wanted to
- 14:28use this as an episode today is, you know, this is something
- 14:32obviously I do a lot as work with clients, but something that
- 14:35I, I really look at as to why I constantly talk about this topic
- 14:39and why I want people to be educated on it is not from a
- 14:41place of shame. By the way, it's OK if you don't
- 14:43know these things. This is why you're listening to
- 14:46this and Congrats, you're looking to develop yourself and
- 14:49you're looking to get this awareness and this
- 14:51understanding. But when you go into and the
- 14:54reason I'm saying when you don't know it, when you don't know it,
- 14:56I'm trying to tell you because I really want to emphasize the
- 14:59importance of awareness in your business.
- 15:03When you're unaware of things in your business and you'll see us
- 15:06within the model. When you're unaware of of things
- 15:08in your business, you're basically not conscious at what
- 15:12you're not good at. And So what it means is that the
- 15:15things you're not consciously aware that you're not good at.
- 15:19So basically you're not consciously aware that you're
- 15:21not good at, you're not, you're not aware that you're lacking a
- 15:23skill. That's a big gap in business
- 15:26because it means that you may have areas right now in your
- 15:30business that if you had an awareness of them, you could
- 15:34adjust. And so the goal of ambitious to
- 15:36me is to give you guys a strategies, yes, and to give
- 15:38you, you know, listening literally the blueprint of what
- 15:41you need to go to get go kick ass in your business.
- 15:43Like I want you to come here every week and be like, yes, go,
- 15:47go, go and just like go kick ass.
- 15:48That's what literally the goal of what I hope to translate to
- 15:52you through YouTube or through your headphones right now.
- 15:55But the thing that is the main also intention for me is that I
- 15:58share my awareness with you. I want you to have the awareness
- 16:02that I have in business so that just the way I forecast other
- 16:05businesses and help them with their strategy, you can also
- 16:07forecast your own strategy and your own business.
- 16:10And you can take that and run with it.
- 16:11And frankly, knowing you and the way you operate, take over the
- 16:14world. So all that to say, let's get
- 16:17into the different stages. And I'm going to be breaking
- 16:19down these stages by how much they're making per year.
- 16:22And obviously I'll correlate that to per month because
- 16:24typically in the online world, we often hear income based off
- 16:27of the per month number. So the first stage, stage 1 is
- 16:32going to be the zero to 40 KA year.
- 16:36So for a reference point, this is for anybody who's basically
- 16:39making $0.00 a month in their business up to three KA month.
- 16:43So during this stage of your business, stage one, you're
- 16:46basically going to be, you know, looking at how can I just do the
- 16:51most amount of things. So this is kind of what we
- 16:53consider to be almost like the buffet approach.
- 16:56You are just machine gunning strategy, literally left, right
- 16:59and center because you don't necessarily have a rhyme or a
- 17:03reason to what you're doing just yet.
- 17:05You're going in trying to just be like, I'm going to try as
- 17:07many things as I possibly can. I'm going to, you know, try
- 17:11Instagram and then I might do Pinterest and I might do TikTok
- 17:14and then I'm going to do like a master class, but then I'm going
- 17:16to do a coaching offer and then I'm going to do this agency
- 17:19thing and then maybe I'll do a retreat and then I'll host a
- 17:21conference. Like you're literally trying to
- 17:22do anything and everything because you're really just, you
- 17:26frankly have nothing to lose. Like you're literally just
- 17:28hustling your butt off. And I know because I remember
- 17:31the stage vividly. You're hustling your butt off,
- 17:33trying to try as many things as you possibly can because that's
- 17:37the way that you're ultimately going to learn is through the
- 17:38doing. And so really the main thing
- 17:42that we're looking to remove at the stage is to really minimize
- 17:46the pressure we feel. So I remember at the stage like,
- 17:49you know, making my first couple sales, I felt so much pressure
- 17:53to like figure it out. Like I just felt like I felt
- 17:57lost. I felt like a fish out of water.
- 17:59Like I felt like I just didn't know what I was doing.
- 18:01I was kind of like trying other people's strategies, trying
- 18:04different approaches. Nothing really felt like it like
- 18:07fit me kind of thing in the sense of like that it really
- 18:09worked for me. And I also was like, very
- 18:12frankly, if I'm going to be really transparent with you, I
- 18:15was extremely driven and motivated to be able to go full
- 18:19time in my business. And so I really wanted to push
- 18:21as hard as I could to try to find a way to get this to be
- 18:24consistent. And so for me, the biggest thing
- 18:27that most people struggle with when they're from a zero to
- 18:30three KA month stage is not having clarity.
- 18:33But the main thing they need clarity on is like how to have
- 18:36clear daily habits to operate as a business owner, planning and
- 18:39understanding like the one O 1 they need to do in business at a
- 18:42very, very simple level. And then understanding marketing
- 18:45and how to speak to the person they're trying to solve the
- 18:47problem for. Because when it comes to this
- 18:51stage, there's so much information out there, which is
- 18:53really the downside, right? At the stage of this specific
- 18:56stage of business when there's so much information out there,
- 18:59you don't know what's right or wrong, which is why the buffet
- 19:01approach ends up working or end up being the reality, frankly,
- 19:04is because you just don't even know what's right or wrong.
- 19:06So you just try everything. And so you end up lost feeling
- 19:10like I have no, I don't know what to do.
- 19:12And so my emphasis for you is if you're at this stage or if you
- 19:15know someone at this stage, the recommendation is for you to
- 19:18really focus on clarity and keeping the business simple.
- 19:20The main thing you need to emphasize when you're wanting to
- 19:22make those consistent sales is to really look at like having
- 19:26basic understanding of how you can get in front of people who
- 19:29don't know you exist, who you can speak very clearly to the
- 19:32problems that you solve and making sure that they're aware
- 19:34of them. And then also looking at like,
- 19:36how can I start to build a personal brand, start to get
- 19:39people aware of like the problems that I solve and how I
- 19:42can support them. And with that as well, looking
- 19:45at like, how can I really focus on one product?
- 19:47And I'll give you guys an acronym that I tell people when
- 19:49someone is really in the earlier stages of their business.
- 19:52This is my recommendation. One platform that you market on,
- 19:55one process for which you convert clients.
- 19:57So if it's like DMS, phone calls, whatever it may be, 1
- 20:00product, IE like 1 core way in which you serve them and
- 20:04specifically one promise, which is the fact of like, what is the
- 20:07one thing that you're going to help people to achieve as an
- 20:09outcome? And if you generally speaking
- 20:11have those types of clarity, you already will have what you need
- 20:16to start to see the the wheels turn when it comes to your
- 20:19business. And so one of the things that I
- 20:21also want to normalize at this stage of 0 to 3K is the fact
- 20:25that, you know, you really also will have quite a few of your
- 20:27clients come from referrals. And that's totally OK.
- 20:30Initially, when you start an online business, one of the
- 20:33first things that's going to happen is you're going to
- 20:35leverage your existing current network, like the things that
- 20:37are already around you in this given moment.
- 20:40And so one of the things that I saw was like, for example, like
- 20:43my first business was a fitness business.
- 20:45And so my first clients were literally people that I went to
- 20:47high school with or the people I went to high school with,
- 20:50friends who ended up hiring me. And so it's also very normal
- 20:54when you're first starting to have a lot of people that you're
- 20:56kind of getting through word of mouth because you don't
- 20:59necessarily at this time have enough of a brand or like a base
- 21:02built yet when it comes to marketing to be able to convert
- 21:05people based off of that. And so this would really be like
- 21:08the stage 1 of recognizing that like it's the initial building
- 21:11phase. It's a lot about clarity.
- 21:14And frankly, it's a lot about consistency.
- 21:16And none of what we're talking about today will work unless
- 21:18you're also wildly consistent. Stage 2 is really where we look
- 21:24at those who are making about 40K to 100 KA year.
- 21:27So for reference point for you, this is for anybody who's making
- 21:29on the low end $3000 a month up to the high end of $8000 a month
- 21:33in this bracket. In this bracket, you still often
- 21:37times may be part time in your business, which is totally
- 21:40normal. I think there's a very like
- 21:41glamorized, you know, marketing, if you will, when it comes to
- 21:45the online world of the idea of like leave your nine to five and
- 21:48like, you know, just like lead all into the business.
- 21:50And I actually think that that's a mistake because I think when
- 21:53people leave their job too early, what ends up happening is
- 21:58you end up when you leave your job too early, what ends up
- 22:01happening is you have so much pressure of the financial of
- 22:03like literally existing that you literally feel like you can't
- 22:07move because every move is like a big domino effect for you
- 22:11because it has to work because you have another way, no other
- 22:13way to live or to make your income.
- 22:15And so I really do, you know, will say the biggest thing that
- 22:19we see with this is that most people are typically still part
- 22:22time in their business, which is totally OK.
- 22:24The other thing that I've often hear at this stage is kind of
- 22:26like this aspect of like, what do I need to do?
- 22:29Like what's the issue? Like what what's basically a
- 22:31sticking point of why I'm not growing?
- 22:33There's usually this resistance at the stage of like, I want to
- 22:35grow faster, I want to grow easier.
- 22:37And so the biggest issue that most people have is actually a
- 22:41lot of clarity around who they're serving.
- 22:43Because again, initially remember to stage one, you're
- 22:45getting a lot of referrals, you're getting a lot of people
- 22:48who are coming to you through your network.
- 22:50And so when you start to then go into where the six figures a
- 22:53year and you're trying to connect with people outside of
- 22:55your network, you really are going to experience very quickly
- 22:58whether you know your ideal client or not.
- 23:00And so if you don't know your ideal client, then it's really
- 23:03going to present itself at this stage to you.
- 23:05And so that's something that I will say definitely comes up
- 23:08when it comes to the stage of like around the six figures or
- 23:10less in your business. And another big emphasis I will
- 23:13say is that people really lack understanding how to communicate
- 23:17at the stage, like what they do in their sales process.
- 23:20So like when you're on calls with people or when you're in
- 23:23the DMS with people, they typically at the stage really
- 23:26struggle to effectively really articulate what is it that I do
- 23:29and what is the problem that I solve.
- 23:30And like, how do I help people? That doesn't always feel crystal
- 23:34clear to people. And so because of that, they
- 23:35really struggle to get sales past this because they struggle
- 23:38to communicate what they're trying to say to people.
- 23:41So here's what I would say at this stage in the sense of
- 23:43focus, I think that there is a very big emphasis when it comes
- 23:46to marketing and sales. It needs to be about a very
- 23:49streamlined sales process. And there needs to be a ton of
- 23:53emphasis on lead generation. Because again, like when you're
- 23:55looking at like a three to five, seven KA month business, you may
- 23:59not have like inbound inquiries rolling in day and day out.
- 24:02And so you really like, if I could put a candle, you have to
- 24:05hustle to get those initial inquiries coming in and start to
- 24:09build up that base of people who are interested in working with
- 24:11you. And so at that stage, that's
- 24:13normal. Like you really need to to prove
- 24:15a process of how you're going to consistently convert people.
- 24:18And with this as well, you're also likely at this stage
- 24:21typically going to be seeing when it comes to like a product
- 24:24suite side of things, how things are working.
- 24:26And so like from a, you know, kind of a storytelling
- 24:28standpoint for me to give you some context.
- 24:31So in stage one of my business, when I first came into the
- 24:33business space specifically, I really actually played quite a
- 24:36bit in the sales and I had so many people in my world who are
- 24:39struggling with sales. I'm like, great, I'm going to
- 24:40make a sales program. And so when I made the sales
- 24:43program, I realized that, you know, I really loved coaching
- 24:48women, but I didn't only want to focus on sales.
- 24:50And so that's actually when I leaned entirely into private
- 24:53coaching and had kind of considered like, OK, well, what
- 24:57does that look like if I want to make other offers?
- 24:59And so during this time, the sense of what I focused on,
- 25:03again, remembering that the stage is a three to 8 KA month,
- 25:05I was from marketing perspective, doing a ton of
- 25:07brand building. So basically my emphasis was
- 25:10like getting in the weeds with my audience.
- 25:12I was going live. I was doing, you know, like ask
- 25:14me anythings, I was making freebies for them.
- 25:17Like I was doing so much just to serve, serve, serve, serve,
- 25:20serve, which I still do to this day.
- 25:22Like, obviously you guys know that I, I give away a lot of
- 25:26tips on the podcast, but The thing is for me, like I was in,
- 25:28I was doing it in a more manual way.
- 25:30And what I mean by that is like in the weeds day-to-day with the
- 25:33audience. And so that was something that I
- 25:34really emphasized to really help to build that like no trust with
- 25:37the people in my world. And when it comes to the sales
- 25:40process, when I was talking about keeping it simple, it
- 25:42really is about, in my opinion, during that stage, I was doing
- 25:46tons of sales calls. The guy was really putting in
- 25:48the reps and mastering the ability to get someone on the
- 25:50phone and from getting them on the phone, being able to convert
- 25:53them from that point onward. And so, so that was something
- 25:56that I really emphasized because I was like, if I can ensure that
- 25:59when I get an inquiry, I can go like, you know, step 123 kind of
- 26:03thing and get that person into a sale.
- 26:05That gives me some aspect of like what we consider to be
- 26:08rinse and repeat. When you hear people talk about
- 26:10rinse and repeating for marketing and sales, rinse and
- 26:12repeating is really because people are wanting to find like
- 26:17a kind of like a system of how they do things and they really
- 26:20want the ability to be able to rely on it.
- 26:22And so for me, during that stage, I heavily, heavily
- 26:25focused on looking at how I could just literally get
- 26:28consistency. So sales calls were like kind of
- 26:30my, my core thing I slipped my teeth into.
- 26:33So really for me, it was brand consistency, getting in the
- 26:35weeds with my clients at this time.
- 26:37It was giving tons of free value content, starting to dabble into
- 26:40private coaching and looking at different ways that I could
- 26:43solve problems for people outside of sales.
- 26:45And then also doing quite a bit of sales calls to kind of really
- 26:48create my rinse and repeat lead generation process.
- 26:51So again, remembering that we've got stage 1, which is the person
- 26:53who's making zero to three KA month.
- 26:55We've done stage 2, which is 3 KA month to 8 KA month.
- 26:58And now we go to stage 3. So stage 3 is for those who are
- 27:02making about 100K to 300 KA year.
- 27:05And that's typically going to be for people who are doing around
- 27:09anywhere between low end 8 KA month up to 25 KA month.
- 27:13So by this time, because usually you are making the low end 6
- 27:16figures, if not more, again going up to $300,000 a year,
- 27:20you're likely full time in the business or you should be at
- 27:22this point. And so really the, the question
- 27:25that most people have here is trying to get out of this aspect
- 27:29of like survival mode, right? Like we feel like we're making
- 27:31sales. Maybe it's like the sales calls
- 27:33are doing really well for you where you've got like an
- 27:35application process or proposal process and you're seeing leads
- 27:39come in, like you're seeing sales happen.
- 27:41But you're also kind of trying to ask yourself, well, like how
- 27:43do I get ahead? Like how do I, how do I step
- 27:47into the next phase and not feel like I'm in this kind of like
- 27:50fight or flight or this like survival mode basically within
- 27:53my business. And so the biggest thing that
- 27:55most people struggle at this time is really to increase the
- 27:59lead generation. So like when you have that way
- 28:02that you used to convert, you know, one or two or five people,
- 28:05how do we take that now and make that something that we can
- 28:08really crank up the volume on to dial in and dial up at more
- 28:12leads and basically like turn up the pipeline, if you will to get
- 28:16more sales coming in here. And so what's really needed at
- 28:20this time in this stage of business is much more an aspect
- 28:24of like, how do I generate consistent leads from marketing?
- 28:28And then two, how do I rely on like converting those people
- 28:31consistently at scale? Like there really isn't a lot of
- 28:35other things at this stage needed necessarily other than
- 28:38the main emphasis on really turning up the pipeline when it
- 28:42comes to lead generation. So I want to give you some
- 28:44strategy cues of what I typically would recommend to
- 28:47someone at this stage. So again, this is if you're
- 28:49somebody who's at about 8 KA month to 25 KA month, number
- 28:52one, you're going to be looking to really widen your audience.
- 28:56Again, exposure, getting more people in the pipeline.
- 28:58And you're going to also want to look at how can we engage them
- 29:01quicker, easier, faster in the audiences that already part of.
- 29:04So like if you have an Instagram, if you have a tick
- 29:06tock, how are we leveraging that?
- 29:08How are we getting success with that?
- 29:09But then also how can we get exposure to new audiences to get
- 29:13you in front of people who don't know that you exist yet?
- 29:15The other thing as well is going to be the brand building. 1 of
- 29:18the things that I really emphasized in the multiple 6
- 29:21figure bracket is really building my brand and getting
- 29:23super clear on, you know, who I was and what did I believe And
- 29:27you know, what did I stand for on the Internet And really how
- 29:30to create that kind of momentum and community and connection
- 29:33around a shared vision and not just, you know, posting
- 29:36information basically and being a resource for info and
- 29:40education. I also will say at this stage,
- 29:43there's quite a bit of diversifying a product suite.
- 29:45So, you know, typically this actually, this bracket is quite
- 29:48a bit of who I work with inside of my ITAG Accelerator
- 29:51mastermind. When I'm in my mastermind, quite
- 29:53a bit of the women inside are usually making about anywhere
- 29:56between like, you know, 5 to 810 KA month and the goal is to get
- 30:00you up to 30 KA month kind of thing in the duration of the
- 30:02program. And so one of the ways in which
- 30:04we do that is we really look at people's product suite and we
- 30:06look at like, is this strategic? Is this creating an intentional
- 30:10customer journey for people? Are we getting good delivery,
- 30:12creating renewals, referrals, you know, all of basically the
- 30:16back end retention we want to see within the offers as well.
- 30:19And we really look at building out the customer journey.
- 30:22So it's super intentional for anyone coming into your world.
- 30:25And it also had the ability to have longevity.
- 30:27That's not something that's kind of like a one hit wonder if you
- 30:30will, in the sense of the fact that it's not just like a quick
- 30:33offer. We want this to be something
- 30:34that has longevity as you scale. And the other thing I would also
- 30:37say is that at this stage as well, again, remembering 8 KA
- 30:39month to 25 KA month, we're starting to introduce more
- 30:42automated sales processes. So what I mean by that is, you
- 30:45know, it's less of, you know, you and the weeds necessarily.
- 30:48And it's more a matter of maybe we're going to introduce DM
- 30:51selling or maybe we introduce a passive offer, maybe we
- 30:53introduce, you know, a course or something like that.
- 30:56We're starting to look at different avenues and more
- 30:58variety of ways in which you can generate sales within the
- 31:02business. And so that would be something
- 31:04that during this phase we're going to be really accentuating.
- 31:06So for myself, you know, kind of going back to to branding for
- 31:10myself, a little story of kind of like my side around this.
- 31:12I really focus as with branding as well on the curation of my
- 31:16branding. I really got super clear on what
- 31:18brand archetype I was and looking at like branding wise,
- 31:21not just brand as as in values, but branding wise with what was
- 31:25my branding and how was I going to show showcase that
- 31:28consistently online. I also played a lot with looking
- 31:32into how I could start to really flush out my product suite
- 31:36during the stage around, you know, adding in things like my
- 31:39VIP days and my ITI foundations and my ITI Accelerator
- 31:43Mastermind, which we've had for years now.
- 31:45Like these are all structures that got added as a byproduct of
- 31:50me wanting to expand the product suite and to really kind of step
- 31:53into diversifying the ways in which I was able to generate a
- 31:56sale. And sales wise, as I said, we
- 31:59started actually selling in DMS, We started doing sales calls, we
- 32:03added triage calls, which were like a stage before the sales
- 32:05call to kind even more systematize and kind of automate
- 32:09and structure our sales process. And so like with all of the
- 32:12things, literally each of the areas, there's quite a bit of
- 32:15aspect here of refinement, of creating consistency at scale,
- 32:20but then also looking at the ways in which we can use systems
- 32:22automation and diversifying. There's a little bit almost a
- 32:25theme I want you to think with the stage of those who are 8 to
- 32:2825 KA month can really be for those looking really the word I
- 32:32think about is diversify, like diversify your marketing,
- 32:35diversify your offers, diversify your sales processes.
- 32:38Like this is really where we start to be able to go a little
- 32:40bit wider in the way we do business.
- 32:43So it's not so siloed back to like stage #1 where we're
- 32:45thinking like, you know, the one person, the one process, We're
- 32:48not at that anymore at the stage.
- 32:50This is an opportunity for you to be able to really look at the
- 32:53different ways that you can leverage the market in your
- 32:55favor. And so to the next stage that I
- 32:58want to also break down for you, the next stage is for those who
- 33:01are making about 300 KA year to 1,000,000.
- 33:04And so this is really where you're going to be making on
- 33:06average, the stage 25 KA month up to 83 KA month.
- 33:10So on that, you know, $1 million run rate as most people like to
- 33:13call it. So during this phase, honestly,
- 33:17the biggest thing that I would say is going to be the feeling
- 33:22in your body is that you're going to be working overtime.
- 33:25I am not going to lie to you, hitting seven figures is for
- 33:30some people, yes, like on marketing and social media, Like
- 33:33I just woke up and I was a millionaire.
- 33:35Bless your heart if that is how it all went down.
- 33:38But for me and many of the clients that I serve, if we get
- 33:41in a room and we really start talking about it, they will be
- 33:43very honest and open and transparent with you that that
- 33:45is not how it went down. They worked a lot of hours.
- 33:48They busted their butt to be able to hit the seven figure
- 33:51mark. And so the way in which they did
- 33:52that was really by putting in the reps to get things set up.
- 33:55And most of the things that we're needing to get set up at
- 33:58that time were quite a bit of of systems and processes around the
- 34:02things that were their strengths.
- 34:04One of the things that's important when you're looking to
- 34:06build a 7 figure business is to basically take what you know and
- 34:10find ways to really streamline that, systematize it, automate
- 34:14it so that it's being able to be done faster, easier and in a
- 34:18more productive way by somebody else on your team.
- 34:22Or if it is by you even. And again, a shorter time frame
- 34:25so you have more time to do the things that are most important.
- 34:27When you're in the bracket of, call it like 300K to a million a
- 34:31year, the thing that's also going to start to become part of
- 34:34your reality, or it should be at that point, if that's your goal,
- 34:37is that you really need to start looking at marketing less from
- 34:39like a kind of more personal interpretation of like, I like
- 34:42this post or I like this launch and more from a lens of actual
- 34:46data. And you know, the data.
- 34:48When I say data, I feel like, you know, it's not a sexy word.
- 34:50If we're going to be honest, Data is not something sexy to
- 34:53most people, but it is something for me that I'm like, it's like
- 34:56it gives you the understanding of what you need in your
- 34:58business, right? Like when we started pulling
- 35:01marketing data and really leaning into sales data and
- 35:03understanding the sales pipeline and how to assess it and all
- 35:05those things. Yes, it doesn't sound sexy to
- 35:07most people, but it's kind of like the equivalent to getting
- 35:10your blood work done, right? Like when you get your blood
- 35:11work done and you have someone who can actually communicate to
- 35:13you why you feel the way you feel like if you're feeling
- 35:15tired, here's why. If you're having stomach issues,
- 35:19here's why. The same thing is true in your
- 35:20business. Your business right now as you
- 35:22listen to this, probably has symptoms of things that it's
- 35:25experiencing. We're experiencing, you know,
- 35:27client refunds or we're experiencing lack of inquiries.
- 35:31We're experiencing whatever the symptom is.
- 35:33There is data. There is a quote UN quote blood
- 35:35work that can be done in your business at any department at
- 35:38any moment that will tell you what's going on and what the
- 35:41issue is. And in my opinion, most people
- 35:45don't dive enough or care enough to kind of learn data.
- 35:48And because of that, it makes them always feel like they don't
- 35:50know what's going on when really the information is in front of
- 35:53you if you were just tracking it.
- 35:54So that would be something that I would say is also really
- 35:56important at the stage also really establishing authority.
- 35:59I think from a brand perspective, you know, obviously
- 36:01we talk a lot in the earlier stages of business about
- 36:03building your initial authority. But I think the main thing that
- 36:07we're really looking at on a deeper level here is when you're
- 36:10in the seven figure bucket, you'll see 7 figure business
- 36:13owners. They've got real depth of
- 36:14community, like they have those like die hard fans, those people
- 36:18who would like ride or die for them.
- 36:20And the way that you do that is by community and connection and
- 36:24engagement and depth with the people in your world.
- 36:26And so I think that's a really important piece of this stage is
- 36:30not looking at it anymore of just kind of like a post and
- 36:32pray or just like putting up a ton of posts.
- 36:35It's really a matter of like, how do I build like genuine
- 36:38connections? Like this is not about just like
- 36:40engagement, having a post do well, but like, how do I make my
- 36:42people feel seen? Like how do I make my people
- 36:44feel connected? And for me, it was really like
- 36:47thinking audience focused and like even with, you know,
- 36:49obviously my business has surpassed 7 figures now we're
- 36:52into multiple 7 now. But it's, you know, when we
- 36:55started to get into that phase, like I was like, I just want
- 36:58this to be about you, you who's listening to this right now.
- 37:00And thank you for listening. This isn't about me.
- 37:03Like this is about you. Like none of who I am or what I
- 37:06have or what I do would be possible without you and your
- 37:08support. And so I think it's really
- 37:11acknowledging that when you are having and desiring to create
- 37:14bigger impact and to have a bigger domino of your impact in
- 37:18the business world or in your space, like your people are the
- 37:21way that you do that. Like I don't have any impact
- 37:24without you who's listening to this?
- 37:26I have none like you, you are my actual impact that you're you're
- 37:30the way that this message and the women who need to be served
- 37:32by this and women changing the stat of you know, 2% of female
- 37:37founded businesses hit seven figures like you're the reason.
- 37:39And so I think it's important when, when we're really looking
- 37:42to build like a big, big business to recognize like this
- 37:45is not about us anymore. It's not about me as ACEO or me
- 37:48as the leader. It's about looking at the
- 37:50community and the we type of perspective and saying like
- 37:53really that it's, it's a group project at this point, not just
- 37:56me. And also I think product suite,
- 37:58it's interesting because you'll know product suite before this
- 38:01when we were going again, thinking back to the 30 KA
- 38:03month, now that we're at the 30 KA month and we're going to a
- 38:06million, it's actually about product suite refinement.
- 38:09And this is something I see as a mistake actually, because when
- 38:11people are trying to go to seven figures, they initially, when
- 38:14they're like 30 K, they've been making all these offers.
- 38:16And so they're like, OK, like more, more and more.
- 38:18But the creating of the offers at a certain point has to stop.
- 38:21Like you can't just make more, more and more and more.
- 38:23Because if you do what you're actually doing is you're filling
- 38:26your plate with tons of stuff, tons of things to manage, tons
- 38:29things to create that are ultimately taking away from the
- 38:32overall, you know, intention of what's meant to really serve the
- 38:35business and to streamline it. And so I also think it's really
- 38:38important when we look at products we during this time
- 38:41it's focusing on customer feedback and looking at like
- 38:44what is the feedback of the people going in.
- 38:46And so during this phase what we did is we actually had off
- 38:49boarding calls with every single person in our program.
- 38:51We had, you know, a call that would basically like finish
- 38:55their time with us and would kind of like close off their
- 38:59container. As part of that, I would ask a
- 39:00series of questions. I basically had this form that
- 39:03we made and I would literally hop in the calls and say, Hey,
- 39:05I'm going to ask you a couple questions.
- 39:06I want you to just be like brutally honest with me.
- 39:09Tell me what you're thinking, tell me what you're feeling and
- 39:11let's go into it. And like that feedback really
- 39:13helped me. It literally helped to shape the
- 39:16way in which we curate and structure our programs.
- 39:19And so I think that, you know, the customer is always right is
- 39:23really when I started to embrace that mindset was actually like
- 39:26the 30 KA month to going up to say like 80 or 90 KA month.
- 39:31Like that was really where I was doubling down on like, OK, so
- 39:35now I know that I have these core offers, I want to refine
- 39:38the delivery of them. I want to make sure that people
- 39:39are getting even better results. I want to make sure that the
- 39:42program is really centered on them and what they want and
- 39:45experience they're looking for. Like I was really super customer
- 39:48audience focused. And also the thing again, kind
- 39:50of back to data, which again, is not necessarily a sexy thing,
- 39:53but it does make a big, big difference at the stage.
- 39:56And for those going to hit 7 figures is like understanding
- 39:59how many clients did you get this year that came from
- 40:01referrals? How many clients this year came
- 40:03from renewals or how many sales came from renewals?
- 40:06How many inbound inquiries are you getting?
- 40:08How many people are you getting on a call?
- 40:11How many people on the call are going and booking through like
- 40:13these pieces? When you play at a bigger
- 40:16number, let's just say you have a 7 figure business and let's
- 40:18again you're making, you know, 85 K, 83 KA month.
- 40:22When you're making 80 grand a month, there's more domino.
- 40:26Every single lack of sales can have a domino decreasing in the
- 40:30number. So like, let's just say, for
- 40:32example, we're not looking at data, we might not realize that
- 40:36we're spending X amount on our team when we should really only
- 40:38be spending this percentage kind of thing, right?
- 40:40So like, it really does, it does matter.
- 40:43Like this is where there's a divide because some people look
- 40:46at their business as kind of like, I don't need to know that,
- 40:48I don't care. I just kind of collect money and
- 40:50like it doesn't really matter. I'm speaking as I talk about
- 40:54this, by the way, to somebody who wants to build like a real
- 40:56business, a real company is something that like you would
- 40:59feel proud to sit at a table with a bunch of other business
- 41:02owners and talk about like this is something that you feel
- 41:05confident to stand behind. And so I think the way to do
- 41:07that is by having a real aspect of eyes on your business.
- 41:10So we focused a lot on our data, our automations, our client
- 41:14management systems, our onboarding systems.
- 41:16You know, we've just got really, really robust back end that
- 41:19gives us visibility and all these things.
- 41:21So it's not being done manually and that it's not taking a lot
- 41:23for us to manage it. But it also was this time as
- 41:27well from a marketing perspective, we started to kind
- 41:29of introduce in our business a little bit more advanced
- 41:32marketing strategy. So looking at, you know, how we
- 41:34can have consistent Black Friday promotions and how we can have
- 41:37consistent launches. And you know, what were all the
- 41:41things that we could start to integrate that really allowed
- 41:43the whole business throughout the entire year to be rinse and
- 41:45repeat, not just the day-to-day sales process.
- 41:48And so we started to integrate promotions.
- 41:50We started to really add like again, more width to the
- 41:53business in the sense of adding more variety to things.
- 41:55And we also would, you know, look at not only delegating to
- 41:58systems and processes, but also delegating to people and looking
- 42:02at like how can somebody on my team support me in doing this to
- 42:06help to take it to the next stage and make it go even
- 42:08further. And so the last stage that we're
- 42:10going to go into and the last phase of the business stages is
- 42:15what we consider to be the $1 million a year up to the
- 42:17$3,000,000 a year mark, which means you're making on average
- 42:20$83,000 a month up to $250,000 a month.
- 42:24And so the biggest thing, the biggest, biggest thing during
- 42:27this stage is delegation. You have to, it's just all team.
- 42:31And at a certain point in your business, that perspective is no
- 42:36longer how do I do it? It's how do I teach someone to
- 42:40do it. And it's something that's a,
- 42:43this is a divide. Like someone going from
- 42:45$1,000,000 a year to going to 2 and 3 is really a matter of the
- 42:50CEO getting out of the way and realizing that they are now
- 42:54their responsibility now is manager and leader and not the
- 42:59doer. They're not the ones who's going
- 43:00to be in the weeds anymore. Like they are not the person
- 43:04who's going to be executing that, and that's not their role
- 43:07or like their leverage basically within the business any longer.
- 43:10And so it really is about team communication systems
- 43:13delegation, and looking at how you can build up your team to
- 43:18really be the powerhouse and machine behind the business.
- 43:21And so, you know, I also want to lean on some other areas too of
- 43:25areas of focus. So #1 as well, I would say for
- 43:28us, which was a huge piece of it also was looking at like multi
- 43:32platform traffic. So looking at like how can we,
- 43:35you know, have, for example, the introduction of YouTube and
- 43:38obviously we've now in the last year or so added podcast, which
- 43:42was another extension of this, right?
- 43:44Like we've looked at, you know, all the different ways that we
- 43:46can basically have a touch base with our ideal client.
- 43:49And in that we really try to focus on brand, you know,
- 43:53building and brand exposure and really just like getting in
- 43:56front of more people by using different platforms to do it.
- 43:59And also leaning a little bit more into kind of like what I
- 44:03would consider was considered almost be like leadership
- 44:05content and leadership content. Meaning like this was a way for
- 44:09me to focus on the brand development.
- 44:11I've been doing a lot more speaking.
- 44:13This is more like, you know, last year and the year before
- 44:15was a lot of like going to conferences and being on stages
- 44:19and doing, you know, podcast. Again, one of the little hacks
- 44:21I'll give you, you don't want to start your own podcast.
- 44:24I would actually recommend going on other people's podcasts.
- 44:26And when you go on their podcast, actually, if you look
- 44:29up Kate Perkovic on Spotify, you'll literally see a playlist
- 44:33of all the other episodes where I've been a guest.
- 44:37And so if someone wants to search my name, they'll see all
- 44:40the other people that I've gone on their show with.
- 44:41And so like, again, that's a way just a little hack for you.
- 44:43If you don't want to create a podcast of your own, you can
- 44:46pitch yourself to be on other people's podcasts.
- 44:48And then from there, go on, basically tell your story and
- 44:52then leverage those social clips for more exposure for you.
- 44:55But you know, it really was looking at how we can just build
- 44:58out the big emphasize, I would say was team.
- 45:01There's quite a bit of team and looking at, you know, team
- 45:03values and team vision and mission and, you know, the
- 45:06principles from which we operate from and the roles we have in
- 45:10the team and who's responsible for what.
- 45:12And you know, shifting from people being very task centric
- 45:15toward outcome centric, like all of that is a very, very big
- 45:19emphasis at that stage. And so when you're somebody who,
- 45:22for example, is, you know, at the million to 3 million, the
- 45:26biggest emphasis I would say to you is really a matter of
- 45:28delegate to systems and delegate to people.
- 45:31But people and team are like the most important of all of it
- 45:36because it really is like your people are the path to the
- 45:40growth you're looking for. Like no longer at a million to
- 45:43three million a year. Is this really you like you're
- 45:46not the bottleneck unless you're not getting out of the way.
- 45:49You're not as much the bottleneck as much as it's more
- 45:51a matter of like, are you empowering and supporting and
- 45:54coaching and leading your team to be able to do the things that
- 45:57you want to have happen? And so really when you're
- 46:00looking to scale, it's about the back end side, which again, may
- 46:03not be sexy to some people, but like it's your leadership
- 46:05skills. It's your management skills,
- 46:07it's your ability to motivate and your ability to hold people
- 46:10accountable in management. It's your ability to lead.
- 46:13It's your ability to hire and fire.
- 46:16It's to provide feedback to team members and to really have
- 46:19systems and structures that are that are created to support them
- 46:22and not just you. Like there's just so many things
- 46:25that that go into making it bigger than you.
- 46:27And I think that the cap that that leads a lot of businesses
- 46:30to stay stuck is the fact when you're looking to go from a
- 46:33million to three million a year, you have to drop the ego and you
- 46:37have to realize this is not your vision anymore.
- 46:39This is not just about where you want to go and what you want to
- 46:42do and how you want it to look. This is a, this is a group
- 46:44project now. And so it means that your entire
- 46:47team needs to be on the same page with you.
- 46:50And they are the people that are going to support you in
- 46:52achieving that. And so pouring into them is like
- 46:54the number one, one way to be able to see that growth happen.
- 46:59So just to kind of go over the high level of all the stages for
- 47:02yourself. Stage 1 is going to be 0 to 40
- 47:05KA year, which is people who are zero to three KA month.
- 47:08Stage 2, we're making about 40K to 100 KA year or better known
- 47:13as three KA month to 8 KA month. Then we're going to go into
- 47:17Stage 3, which is where they're making 100 KA year to 300K a
- 47:21year or eight KA month to 25 KA month.
- 47:24You've got also your 300K to 1,000,000, which is 30 KA month
- 47:28to 83 KA month. And we've obviously got our last
- 47:31stage which we just discussed, which was where you're making a
- 47:33million to three million a year and you are doing 83 a month to
- 47:37250 KA month. So I really want to break down
- 47:41these different stages for you that you can really start to see
- 47:43the themes of what the emphasis is, where your energy should
- 47:46lie, where you're going to move the needle.
- 47:49And you know, it's my hope in you learning these stages that
- 47:53you're really able to start to identify like, where am I, what
- 47:57should be my focus during this time?
- 47:58What are the things that I'm kind of struggling with right
- 48:00now? And kind of using this as an
- 48:01opportunity for you to assess like where, what am I working on
- 48:05and where is something where maybe I need to be pouring more
- 48:07energy or moving the needle a little bit more than I am.
- 48:10And so all of us to say, I obviously want you guys to know,
- 48:13as always, my DMS are always open.
- 48:15If you guys do need any feedback on some clarity, some
- 48:18awarenesses you have listening to today's episode.
- 48:21I also want you guys to know that as I said and the earlier
- 48:23part of today's episode, Ambitious is very much a podcast
- 48:27that was completely designed and created for you.
- 48:29And so if there is anything that I can talk about, share a guest
- 48:33you'd love to have on a, you know, overall topic that you'd
- 48:36love to have covered, please be sure to reach out to myself on
- 48:40Instagram, just literally at Kate Perkovic.
- 48:42My DMS are always open. Shoot me a voice note, shoot me
- 48:44a message. It means the world to me to be
- 48:47able to touch base with you guys and to be able to chat with you
- 48:50about, you know, what kind of resonated with you on the show.
- 48:53Always, always loving and loving, loving, loving feedback
- 48:56on anything that kind of hits home for you.
- 48:57And also what doesn't is also very much something that I
- 49:00desire to hear as well. But also if there's topics that
- 49:03would really support you. I think, you know, my goal for
- 49:05ambitious has always been that for ambitious women just like
- 49:08yourself, that you can TuneIn every Thursday and feel like you
- 49:12got your bucket filled, like you were able to be like, OK, like
- 49:14let's freaking go. And that you feel one step
- 49:16closer to that goal that you're going for right now.
- 49:18And so if there is anything that I can do through ambitious to
- 49:22support you in doing that, I I'm absolutely all ears and happy to
- 49:24do it. So all that to be said, you
- 49:26guys, thank you so much, so much for listening and I will see you
- 49:29on next weeks episode. And until then, as always, stay
- 49:32ambitious.
