- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing in with Beca Tilly and Tanya rad and iHeartRadio
- 0:04Speaker 1: and two times People's Choice Award winning podcast.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Hello everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Oh.
- 0:21Speaker 3: She was just adjusting her mic. Yeah, I was how
- 0:27Speaker 3: you doing.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm doing fine? How are you doing?
- 0:29Speaker 3: I'm good? Good? Fine? That was your weekend?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Weekend was really nice. We celebrated Robbie's birthday.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, the birthday.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Boy, how's your weekend?
- 0:39Speaker 3: It was good.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We I had like big intentions to not do anything
- 0:44Speaker 2: because I've been.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Socialized out, but.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Haley somehow got me to like rearrange two of the
- 0:53Speaker 2: rooms in the house and move things. And in one
- 0:57Speaker 2: of the moves, we were trying to make one of
- 0:58Speaker 2: our rooms like a gem with all the equipment.
- 1:01Speaker 3: In there and stuff. And we were moving this mirror.
- 1:06Speaker 2: And Haley's not She's very mentally tough, but physically strength
- 1:11Speaker 2: wise nimble. Not nimble, delicate, delicate flower. And so we
- 1:17Speaker 2: were trying to move this mirror and it was very
- 1:19Speaker 2: top heavy. So I had that side and we were
- 1:21Speaker 2: carrying it sideways and I was trying to lift it up,
- 1:26Speaker 2: and her side like slid down or something. I don't
- 1:29Speaker 2: really know what happened, but my instinct was to not
- 1:32Speaker 2: let it hit.
- 1:32Speaker 3: The floor because it was like really heavy, so I squeezed.
- 1:36Speaker 3: I like tried to catch it with my legs.
- 1:37Speaker 2: So I put my legs together, and so the mirror
- 1:39Speaker 2: like basically hit both of my inner thighs and then
- 1:43Speaker 2: still went through them because it was so heavy and
- 1:46Speaker 2: hit the ground. So two bad things happened. I have
- 1:50Speaker 2: the craziest bruises on both of my.
- 1:54Speaker 3: Legs right now.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yeah, they look pretty narly.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I was like googling, like when to be concerned about ruthas. Yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 2: so I haven't slapt because any move I make is
- 2:06Speaker 2: absolute pain. We're going to the Bahamas this week, and
- 2:10Speaker 2: I look like I've been like punched and beat. I
- 2:14Speaker 2: have bruises because I played basketball or inner thighs, right,
- 2:18Speaker 2: you mean like you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I mean, like what are you gonna do?
- 2:20Speaker 1: They're like spread eagle at the beach.
- 2:22Speaker 2: They're not full in her They're more like quad, yes,
- 2:28Speaker 2: inner quad right above the knee. And I have bruises
- 2:33Speaker 2: from basketball last week, So I look like I've been
- 2:36Speaker 2: through it.
- 2:36Speaker 3: But it's okay.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Everything's fine, Everything's fine. I have bruises too, so what
- 2:42Speaker 1: are your bruises from skiing falling like two weeks ago?
- 2:46Speaker 3: I know, I that's very discouraging for me.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Right now it's getting much better, but yeah, they last.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I've been like looking into should I go to
- 2:56Speaker 2: acupuncture move the blood around?
- 2:58Speaker 3: I don't know anyway, So we did that, and it's
- 3:00Speaker 3: so funny.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Because we have this honestly stunning gym room with all
- 3:05Speaker 2: this equipment in there, and we just keep going to
- 3:07Speaker 2: look at it to admire how clean it is, but
- 3:09Speaker 2: no one's gotten in there to do anything active.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I'd like to come over and use it.
- 3:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, we're doing ten dollars membership, so.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Ten dollars a month.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yeah, heck yeah. And you can use the pool outside. Wow,
- 3:23Speaker 3: jacuzzi full spa. Yeah, I have a sauna blanket wow. Yeah.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Well you could rent your sauna out.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so we could us. We had like a gym
- 3:33Speaker 1: in our garage, Like I mean when I say gym,
- 3:36Speaker 1: like we have like weights and then like those a
- 3:38Speaker 1: little bike whatever, the thing that you lay on to
- 3:40Speaker 1: do the weights, a bench, a bench, so we had
- 3:45Speaker 1: like a couple of things in there, and then like
- 3:46Speaker 1: now it's just been so we did all of our stores,
- 3:49Speaker 1: Like all of our Christmas decorations are in there. It's
- 3:51Speaker 1: just become like total storage. So the area to work
- 3:54Speaker 1: out has become very very slim in there.
- 3:57Speaker 3: But you still have the sauna. Yeah, so we could
- 4:00Speaker 3: do a trade.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll give you a trade for the ten dollar
- 4:04Speaker 2: five dollars discount.
- 4:05Speaker 3: Ye. What did y'all do for Robbie's birthday?
- 4:09Speaker 1: I actually did something really cute and uh, I basically
- 4:15Speaker 1: planned out the entire weekend for him. But I made it.
- 4:18Speaker 1: I made like two different cards, so like it was
- 4:20Speaker 1: like said Saturday morning, Saturday morning, and then it'd be
- 4:23Speaker 1: like option one, option two, and he'd have to pick
- 4:25Speaker 1: a card and then whichever one he picked, that's what
- 4:27Speaker 1: we would do.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Oh, like what were the what were they?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Well? I made them the exact same option. So I
- 4:32Speaker 1: basically planned out the whole weekend without like thinking he
- 4:37Speaker 1: thinking that he would like randomly decide what his fate
- 4:40Speaker 1: was by like whichever envelope he picked.
- 4:41Speaker 3: You know, they said the same thing.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Each one was the same, each activity was the same.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Option one, option two were the exact same thing. But
- 4:47Speaker 1: he did never know, so he would like pull one
- 4:50Speaker 1: out and he would like, oh, this is we're going,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and I would rip up the other one.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Oh so he never knew no. Wow.
- 4:55Speaker 1: He kind of kept caught on when I like booked
- 4:59Speaker 1: him a massage and he was like, how are they
- 5:01Speaker 1: not to be here at eleven am tomorrow?
- 5:03Speaker 3: And I was like, you were like, I just took
- 5:08Speaker 3: a chance. Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I was like, well there could have been at one
- 5:11Speaker 1: o'clock too, like I was just trying to throw them off.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, but it.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Was really cute. He's like, you don't have to do this,
- 5:16Speaker 1: you know, you spoiled me so much, Like it was
- 5:19Speaker 1: really cute. Yeah, that's so fun. It was fun, even
- 5:22Speaker 1: the element of surprise, even though there was no surprise.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I've done that before.
- 5:28Speaker 2: And then like we got to the dessert portion and
- 5:31Speaker 2: Hayley chose one and she was like, what's the other option?
- 5:34Speaker 1: And she liked it better. Yeah, that's why I want
- 5:37Speaker 1: to happen.
- 5:37Speaker 2: I was like, oh, yeah, when you have a massage planned,
- 5:39Speaker 2: but if you were doing like restaurants or something, yeah,
- 5:41Speaker 2: you could have made two reservations.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And then there was breakfast one morning. It was two
- 5:45Speaker 1: different spots and I was just like, whichever one. We
- 5:49Speaker 1: don't need a reservation.
- 5:49Speaker 3: You just go the eight hour weight one.
- 5:51Speaker 1: No, no, no, he's never going there again. But yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 1: it was cute.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Yesterday we went to meet one of our friends had
- 6:02Speaker 2: a baby in early January, or actually December thirty first,
- 6:05Speaker 2: so we went and met her for the first time.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Gabby, her baby.
- 6:09Speaker 2: She's perfect, Like every time she sent photos, I'm like,
- 6:13Speaker 2: I cannot wait to meet her.
- 6:14Speaker 3: So we got to go meet her.
- 6:15Speaker 2: We got to hang out with them for a little bit,
- 6:17Speaker 2: and then we went over to Haley's sisters and saw
- 6:19Speaker 2: her niece and nephew and so it was.
- 6:21Speaker 3: A day full of the children.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we were exhausted. I was gonna say, how did
- 6:27Speaker 1: it make you feel tired?
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, very tired. It makes me realize like parents really
- 6:33Speaker 2: are just the real ones, because it is it is just.
- 6:37Speaker 3: A mentally you don't even realize you're doing, like putting
- 6:44Speaker 3: effort into something. Yeah.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yeah, And that was like we just got to be
- 6:49Speaker 2: the fun aunts who come over. You know, we're not
- 6:51Speaker 2: even really having to do the parenting.
- 6:53Speaker 1: We're in that phase of life for like every like
- 6:55Speaker 1: I got invited, I'm invited to two baby showers on
- 6:58Speaker 1: the exact same day at the exact same time.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But they're always like a range, you know, it's always
- 7:04Speaker 2: like twelve to four or something.
- 7:05Speaker 1: They're one to three and ones like in La Proper
- 7:09Speaker 1: and the other ones in Calabasas.
- 7:10Speaker 3: So how are you doing it?
- 7:11Speaker 1: I'm not sure. I'm not sure Robbie's invited to one.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So I think I'm gonna have him go to the
- 7:17Speaker 1: one that we're both invited to and pull down the
- 7:19Speaker 1: four and then I'll go to the other one and
- 7:22Speaker 1: leave early and then meet him.
- 7:24Speaker 3: I see, I see.
- 7:24Speaker 1: That's kind of how I know.
- 7:26Speaker 2: We're definitely in that phase of like showers and babies
- 7:30Speaker 2: and birthdays and all the things. Yeah, it's fun, It
- 7:34Speaker 2: is fun. But yeah, So we had a pretty chill weekend.
- 7:37Speaker 2: On Saturday night though we did after we clean and organize.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Marla and Taylor came over when we played games and
- 7:44Speaker 2: it was so fun and we were like, wow, you know,
- 7:47Speaker 2: you've really got to take advantage of these moments because
- 7:50Speaker 2: there we are entering this new season of life where
- 7:52Speaker 2: like you never know if someone's gonna have a baby.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Or you know, like just these moments of being able.
- 7:57Speaker 2: To garden and or her food and just lets not
- 8:02Speaker 2: have any responsibility sleep in the next day.
- 8:05Speaker 3: You know, it goes quick.
- 8:07Speaker 1: It does go quick.
- 8:08Speaker 2: So trying to just embrace those moments with our friends
- 8:11Speaker 2: of the friends who want the children.
- 8:18Speaker 1: We started sleeping without without white noise. Why because it's
- 8:22Speaker 1: like bad. It like interrupts your rem cycle. Oh my gosh,
- 8:26Speaker 1: And honestly, I think we're sleeping better.
- 8:28Speaker 3: The silence interrupts my rim cycle.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Well, we uh turn the TV. We put the TV
- 8:33Speaker 1: on a timer so we're like, okay, we're ready to
- 8:35Speaker 1: go to bed. We put the TV on for thirty
- 8:37Speaker 1: minutes so we have that to fall asleep, and then
- 8:40Speaker 1: it turns off and then we just have silence the
- 8:42Speaker 1: rest of the night. Whoa, Yeah, we have our.
- 8:48Speaker 2: What's it called our air pure fire makes noise. Oh,
- 8:51Speaker 2: but I also have a white noise machine on.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, we have like the full white noise. It's like
- 8:56Speaker 1: louder than an alarm clock.
- 8:58Speaker 3: But if people have slept with a fan all or
- 9:00Speaker 3: like air conditioning on their whole life, it's just so
- 9:03Speaker 3: row interrupting their rent sleep.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like by six minutes or something. It does.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I don't know where. Did you just saw that on
- 9:10Speaker 3: an Instagram? Real?
- 9:11Speaker 1: No, it was a morning hack on the morning show.
- 9:14Speaker 2: There's been morning hacks debunked all through.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Life, but I'm telling you living proof of it. I
- 9:19Speaker 1: actually think we're sleeping better, But.
- 9:21Speaker 2: You think you're sleeping better every time you try something new.
- 9:26Speaker 3: That's true.
- 9:27Speaker 1: That is true.
- 9:28Speaker 2: You think you slept you sleep better with mouth tape,
- 9:31Speaker 2: But I find.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So much better with mouth tape. No, you're not. You
- 9:33Speaker 1: didn't give it, but I checked.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Through my nose. I don't breathe in my mouth, So you.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Need to get a nose tape too. That makes your
- 9:40Speaker 1: nose bigger. It makes your nostrils bigger. Want my nose bigger,
- 9:43Speaker 1: not forever. It's temporary. It's like you put it on
- 9:47Speaker 1: and it opens up your nostrils.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Does it not stretch it into being making your nose bigger.
- 9:52Speaker 2: If you're doing that every single night, every single night,
- 9:55Speaker 2: it's his nose getting bigger.
- 9:56Speaker 3: No, I would start documenting that. How if you stretch
- 10:01Speaker 3: for eight hours. If you do something for eight.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Hours, not much. It's not like it's opening it so
- 10:07Speaker 1: much wider. It's like a little bit, A.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Little bit's too much in terms of making my nose bigger.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I don't want people would use them if it made
- 10:13Speaker 1: their nose bigger.
- 10:15Speaker 3: There's no studies on it yet that I can't.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I cannot confirm or deny.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Everything I sleep.
- 10:23Speaker 2: I breathe through my nose, so I don't feel like
- 10:25Speaker 2: I'm not getting RESTful sleep because I'm not breathing.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Right, that's my mouth is closed.
- 10:31Speaker 1: With your mouth open, wide open, So.
- 10:33Speaker 3: This is your mouth tape is the game changer changing,
- 10:37Speaker 3: But for me, I don't I have clear pathways.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Yeah, well this is it's a big change. Like sleeping
- 10:46Speaker 1: in silence is like so crazy. I hear Sunny in
- 10:50Speaker 1: her crate every like if she gets up to shake
- 10:52Speaker 1: a little bit, and then.
- 10:54Speaker 3: That doesn't interrupt your room cycle.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It's hard to say. It's a give and take.
- 11:00Speaker 3: That feels like a morning hack.
- 11:03Speaker 1: No, we're liking it. We're liking it. We're liking it.
- 11:07Speaker 2: They're telling me that sleeping through the night with white
- 11:10Speaker 2: noise it's more disruptive than hearing Yeah, Sony's shaking her.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Because I don't hear her every time. I'm saying, there's
- 11:16Speaker 1: the occasional night where I will hear her or i'll
- 11:18Speaker 1: hear him, like go to the bathroom. But like i'd say,
- 11:20Speaker 1: nine times out of ten, I'm sleeping through the whole,
- 11:24Speaker 1: like I'm getting remp from start to finish.
- 11:28Speaker 3: When did you start this?
- 11:29Speaker 1: Probably last what's today? Monday? Probably Tuesday? Last week? Okay,
- 11:35Speaker 1: Tuesday or Wednesday.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Let's check in and three weeks check in on me, baby,
- 11:42Speaker 3: doing a check in, check in on me.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Something really devastating happened last week and we lost Eric
- 11:49Speaker 2: Dane to his battle with als and I I just
- 11:54Speaker 2: can't It happened so fast and it was probably not
- 11:59Speaker 2: fast for him. And I keep thinking about that because
- 12:01Speaker 2: people keep saying it happened so fast because he I
- 12:03Speaker 2: guess announced his diagnosis less it was like less than
- 12:06Speaker 2: a year ago.
- 12:08Speaker 3: And I keep thinking about how like.
- 12:13Speaker 2: We watched this person who is this like strong, like
- 12:19Speaker 2: like character on Grey's Anatomy and then you know he
- 12:22Speaker 2: was just this like almost like a Greek god, you know,
- 12:26Speaker 2: and watching him go through that, it was just devastating.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And I just watching all the Gray's Anatomy, seeing all.
- 12:32Speaker 1: The posts, the memes. It's so crazy when you think about,
- 12:36Speaker 1: like even with Catherine O'Hara, like they have these such
- 12:42Speaker 1: iconic roles that like they will live forever in these roles,
- 12:47Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Yeah, it's so crazy to
- 12:50Speaker 1: think about, but.
- 12:50Speaker 2: It's also it is crazy to think about, but it's
- 12:53Speaker 2: also such a gift. I was thinking about that for
- 12:55Speaker 2: like his his loved ones and his friends, that.
- 12:58Speaker 1: They if they miss him, they can like go see.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Him and be this. Especially Mark Sloan.
- 13:04Speaker 2: I know he was in euphoria, but I don't think
- 13:06Speaker 2: his character was like a good guy. So but I
- 13:08Speaker 2: was thinking about, like Gray's Anatomy, Mark Sloan had this
- 13:12Speaker 2: like character arc and he came in and everyone was
- 13:14Speaker 2: like who is this and by the end you loved
- 13:16Speaker 2: him and it's so special. It's also with Catherine O'Hara,
- 13:20Speaker 2: these iconic roles and getting to like go back and
- 13:23Speaker 2: watch him.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Be so alive. Yeah, is really really cool gift. But
- 13:28Speaker 3: rest in peace, Eric Dane.
- 13:30Speaker 1: We had that one hit. Between that and Punch the
- 13:33Speaker 1: Monkey this weekend, I found myself being just like very emotional.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I also think I might be getting my period soon,
- 13:41Speaker 1: but I was very emotional all weekend.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Punch the Monkey hit me so hard. I was watching
- 13:49Speaker 2: the video and then I was telling Haley about it,
- 13:51Speaker 2: and she didn't know anything about it. So I was
- 13:53Speaker 2: showing her videos, and then she kept saying, I just
- 13:56Speaker 2: feel so sorry for him because he knows he's like
- 13:59Speaker 2: an out.
- 14:00Speaker 3: She kept making like a comment like that.
- 14:02Speaker 2: And it made me cry, and I did it three
- 14:04Speaker 2: nights in a row, and she kept reaffirming and he
- 14:08Speaker 2: knows that he's being rejected, and I was like stop, can't.
- 14:13Speaker 1: I could not stop watching these videos. And I'm telling you,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I've probably seen the same videos five hundred times. And yet,
- 14:20Speaker 1: like when I watch him cuddle, like the close up
- 14:23Speaker 1: videos of him cuddling, the stuff he send me down
- 14:27Speaker 1: such like a spiral.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I guess he's found a monkey that loves Simon is
- 14:31Speaker 2: protecting him. Yeah, And all the comments are like yeah,
- 14:34Speaker 2: only because he's famous now, and I'm like, yeah, there,
- 14:40Speaker 2: they were really smart animals.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I do wonder if they.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Can sit there way that he knows he's like globally
- 14:47Speaker 1: getting glable.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Someone said they were giving Cynthia and Ariana the new
- 14:52Speaker 3: Monkey's like overly protective and like guarding everything. But I'm
- 14:57Speaker 3: just I need it.
- 14:58Speaker 2: I hope he's a good friend or she's a good
- 15:00Speaker 2: friend to punch because he needs that.
- 15:03Speaker 3: He does. It's been hard to start for him. The
- 15:05Speaker 3: video of.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Him grabbing the arm of this stuff to cut on
- 15:08Speaker 1: him literally makes me cry every time I see it.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Like I'm like, I don't know what emotional state I'm
- 15:15Speaker 1: in right now. We're watching these videos over and over
- 15:18Speaker 1: and over again, like they bring me such sadness, but
- 15:21Speaker 1: they bring me such comfort at the same time, Like
- 15:24Speaker 1: what does that say about me?
- 15:25Speaker 2: I don't know because I can only watch so much
- 15:27Speaker 2: before I have to, like let my brain.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Rest from the sad day On Saturday, I didn't stop.
- 15:34Speaker 1: My entire feed was punch the monkey.
- 15:37Speaker 3: It's devastating. I'm also seeing what I think is AI
- 15:41Speaker 3: stuff now, so now I can't really tell if the
- 15:43Speaker 3: difference once AI or what's real. But it's all really sad.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Rob and I were like, how do we get in
- 15:50Speaker 1: his own like cage to be in where he like
- 15:53Speaker 1: has his own freedom in his own space, which is
- 15:55Speaker 1: like him and his stuffy But.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I guess that interrupts him learning to be like you.
- 16:00Speaker 1: Some people just don't learn how to acclimate.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know how it works with I know
- 16:06Speaker 2: that's with people, but we're talking animals, so I think
- 16:09Speaker 2: that they they need him to be able to socialize
- 16:12Speaker 2: and be around other monkeys. But did you see the
- 16:17Speaker 2: zoo keeper that comes in and he's crown?
- 16:21Speaker 1: I can't.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Oh, it's so sad.
- 16:24Speaker 1: It just relates to people more, I think, and I
- 16:28Speaker 1: understand as an outsider.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Oh my god, how are you an outsider? How do
- 16:34Speaker 2: you consider yourself an outsider?
- 16:36Speaker 1: I don't know. I do to beat my own drum. Yeah,
- 16:38Speaker 1: you do do that like punch?
- 16:42Speaker 3: Did you watch Traders? We'll get to that later.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I did start Love is Blind, but I'm at the
- 16:49Speaker 2: part now where everyone's still decent.
- 16:55Speaker 3: It downhill? No, I'm in. I'm in Mexico, okay.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I think the last the last like Mexico episode does okay,
- 17:02Speaker 2: but I know things go dark.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm not there yet either. I just got back. I
- 17:06Speaker 1: just got into like the real world.
- 17:08Speaker 3: What do you think about everyone?
- 17:12Speaker 1: I have lots of thoughts. I don't know a lot
- 17:14Speaker 1: of them by name. I know me neither, So it's
- 17:17Speaker 1: gonna be it's gonna be tough to recap. But I
- 17:19Speaker 1: also need to understand why there is one couple that
- 17:23Speaker 1: went to Malibu and all the other couples went to Mexico.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So I was thinking maybe I had to do something
- 17:28Speaker 2: with getting a passport or something like maybe they didn't
- 17:30Speaker 2: have a passport.
- 17:31Speaker 1: So I chatchiputeed it okay, and it said that, uh,
- 17:35Speaker 1: it was not a passport issue, because I had the
- 17:37Speaker 1: same thought. Oh, that production only had budget to send
- 17:40Speaker 1: six couples to Mexico and there were seven that got
- 17:43Speaker 1: engaged this season, and I'm like, why does it seem right?
- 17:47Speaker 4: I do feel like the couple that went to Malibu though,
- 17:50Speaker 4: they're more serious, and I feel like maybe they were
- 17:52Speaker 4: just like, let's not put them in the drama of everything,
- 17:54Speaker 4: because they have an actual chance of staying together, so
- 17:58Speaker 4: let's give them their own little getaway.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it kind of felt that way.
- 18:02Speaker 1: It was weird, and also like that they didn't address it.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I'm like, hello, Nick Vanessa, can someone explain to me
- 18:06Speaker 1: why this couple is in Malibu and everybody else is
- 18:09Speaker 1: in Mexico.
- 18:09Speaker 3: I liked my theory more about the passport.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I feel weird that it's a budget they have, Like
- 18:13Speaker 2: every they have all these songs that they're paying for
- 18:16Speaker 2: on the show.
- 18:16Speaker 3: They don't budget.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Know if anybody out there works for Love is Blind,
- 18:19Speaker 1: please let us know, because it was really bothering me.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Okay, I wanted to talk about an update from the
- 18:26Speaker 2: Valentine's Day post of last week. We have an update,
- 18:30Speaker 2: but we're going to take a break and we'll talk
- 18:32Speaker 2: about that.
- 18:49Speaker 3: We're back.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Oh, thanks, So So, we had a little discussion last
- 18:56Speaker 5: week about one of our scrubbers who had posted in
- 19:01Speaker 5: the Facebook group that she didn't get anything from her
- 19:03Speaker 5: significant other.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Of two years, didn't get flowered, basically didn't get acknowledged
- 19:09Speaker 2: with any gifts or anything on Valentine's Day. So Tanya
- 19:12Speaker 2: and I had opposite takes and stances on it, but
- 19:16Speaker 2: we got an update from the scrubber herself, Mark, do
- 19:22Speaker 2: you do?
- 19:23Speaker 3: Are you caught up on this drama?
- 19:24Speaker 6: So what was the take?
- 19:26Speaker 1: So basically the bottom line, like net net net, she
- 19:32Speaker 1: did not get anything on Valentine's Day. She got him
- 19:35Speaker 1: a basket she made him, or they made dinner together,
- 19:38Speaker 1: but the ingredients. He didn't give her a card, he
- 19:41Speaker 1: didn't give her flowers or really acknowledged the day.
- 19:43Speaker 6: What were the angles you Becca and Easton had.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Back in Easton were aligned. They said, it's absolutely bare
- 19:50Speaker 1: minimum to ask for, just like a Carter acknowledgment on
- 19:52Speaker 1: Valentine's Day. I said, you need to communicate your needs
- 19:56Speaker 1: to your partner and if he's showing up for you
- 19:58Speaker 1: in your regular, every day life. Guys are dumb and
- 20:02Speaker 1: sometimes Valentine's Day goes over their head and maybe he's
- 20:05Speaker 1: very embarrassed that he didn't do anything on Valentine's Day.
- 20:08Speaker 2: The bare minimum is showing up for your partner every
- 20:11Speaker 2: other day of the year.
- 20:12Speaker 3: So that's what I argument. I was like, Oh, wait,
- 20:14Speaker 3: so you don't get.
- 20:15Speaker 2: A card because someone shows up for you every other
- 20:18Speaker 2: day of the year.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yes, I didn't know they were together for two years, so.
- 20:20Speaker 3: That dicer, did I think?
- 20:21Speaker 1: I think that you said I didn't know in the beginning,
- 20:24Speaker 1: and so that threw me a little bit because after
- 20:28Speaker 1: one mistake of one Valentine's Day, you would think he
- 20:32Speaker 1: would pick up on that.
- 20:34Speaker 2: And a lot of the scrubbers advice on the Facebook
- 20:36Speaker 2: posts were like, you need to communicate because you're just
- 20:38Speaker 2: setting him up for failure if you don't communicate, And I'm.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Like, I get that.
- 20:41Speaker 2: If she had expectations of wanting to go to a
- 20:44Speaker 2: specific restaurant or I want to be woken up with
- 20:47Speaker 2: breakfast in bed, that's something you have to communicate. Communicating
- 20:51Speaker 2: that you need acknowledgment on a holiday that's so in
- 20:54Speaker 2: our face that there's no way it can.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Go over your head.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Because now I know, like guys are dumb.
- 20:59Speaker 3: We got it. We got to set the bar higher.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I'm just telling you we have to.
- 21:03Speaker 6: I think bare minimum when he's doing If you can't
- 21:05Speaker 6: do the bare minimum for Valentine's Day when you're dating,
- 21:08Speaker 6: what's gonna happen for your birthdays, your anniversaries? Like I
- 21:11Speaker 6: feel like it's I think it's a problem. I think
- 21:13Speaker 6: it's a concern. I'll say that it's a concern, not unfixable.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I was just trying to have our girls back.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I have a lot of heat, and I think you're
- 21:22Speaker 3: having the guys back. I don't think you're having the girls. No.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I wanted her to not feel so bad. I feel
- 21:27Speaker 1: like she felt so bad, and I just wanted her
- 21:29Speaker 1: to know, like, don't feel so bad. This isn't the
- 21:32Speaker 1: end all be all, Like there's hope. I wanted to
- 21:35Speaker 1: give her some hope.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Well, my thought process was like, Okay, this is a
- 21:38Speaker 2: conversation they need to have, and she now she can communicate, like, hey,
- 21:43Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever communicated, but I'd.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Like to be acknowledged. I didn't know I needed to
- 21:47Speaker 3: communicate this, but I'd like to be acknowledgable on holidays.
- 21:50Speaker 1: So where do we stand?
- 21:53Speaker 3: So the follow up is that.
- 21:58Speaker 2: She says, the first year we were together, we didn't
- 22:01Speaker 2: do anything, and last year I was the one who
- 22:04Speaker 2: made the dinner reservations at the restaurant. He shows up
- 22:07Speaker 2: for me in so many other ways, so I was
- 22:09Speaker 2: very confused about this holiday. My birthday was two weeks ago,
- 22:12Speaker 2: and he got me flowers the Monday of my birthday
- 22:15Speaker 2: week to kick off the week, and took me to
- 22:16Speaker 2: dinner and got me a gift, which for me, it's
- 22:18Speaker 2: totally not about the money part of it. I just
- 22:21Speaker 2: wanted to be thought about, especially when it feels like
- 22:23Speaker 2: everyone else in the world, even the ones with crappy
- 22:25Speaker 2: boyfriends and husbands, are being spoiled.
- 22:27Speaker 3: That's the thing. Some of the worst of the worst
- 22:30Speaker 3: will still show.
- 22:30Speaker 1: But this is It's an interesting point because she's seeing
- 22:33Speaker 1: everything on Instagram and that again comparison is a thief
- 22:36Speaker 1: of joy antenue one.
- 22:37Speaker 2: He spoils me at Christmas, but he did not grow
- 22:39Speaker 2: up coming from a lot holidays and birthdays weren't a
- 22:42Speaker 2: big deal at all in his childhood home, but since
- 22:44Speaker 2: spending Christmas and Birthdays with my family, he's seen how
- 22:47Speaker 2: important those are for me. We did have a conversation
- 22:49Speaker 2: about it after I posted, because I felt empowered, and
- 22:52Speaker 2: he said it didn't cross his mind and that he
- 22:54Speaker 2: will do better next year.
- 22:55Speaker 3: See, don't get me wrong, that's.
- 22:58Speaker 1: A what See okay, it's okay, come on.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Don't get me wrong.
- 23:02Speaker 2: He was with me all weekend, verbally told me Happy
- 23:05Speaker 2: Valentine's Day and cooked dinner with me. But I was
- 23:07Speaker 2: expecting more, Although I communicated, expectations lead to disappointment, which
- 23:12Speaker 2: is what happened. So I'm hopeful that next year we'll
- 23:15Speaker 2: be on the same page. Thank you for she said,
- 23:17Speaker 2: thank you for reaching out to me. I'm literally freaking out.
- 23:19Speaker 2: My sister and I are obsessed with the podcast. It's
- 23:21Speaker 2: gotten us through a lot of hard stuff the past
- 23:22Speaker 2: few years. We love you guys, and then she said
- 23:25Speaker 2: more info after listening she listened.
- 23:26Speaker 3: To the episode, She said, I feel validated by Becca.
- 23:30Speaker 3: The bar shouldn't be on the ground.
- 23:32Speaker 2: It's our third Valentine's Day together, second officially dating. I
- 23:36Speaker 2: don't think he felt bad or embarrassed when he got
- 23:38Speaker 2: his gift.
- 23:39Speaker 3: He was definitely appreciative, but wasn't outwardly embarrassed. He hasn't
- 23:43Speaker 3: made up for it yet.
- 23:48Speaker 1: My bad. I'll stand on it. I don't even know
- 23:54Speaker 1: what this means charge it.
- 23:58Speaker 3: So yeah, it's a good it's a good update.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I'm glad she felt empowered, regardless of like where she
- 24:03Speaker 2: felt empowered from. I'm glad that she said something because
- 24:06Speaker 2: at this point now she can see like he knows
- 24:09Speaker 2: let's see how he doesn't. He can't say, oh, I
- 24:11Speaker 2: didn't know that anymore.
- 24:14Speaker 1: I just think express like what do they say? Uh,
- 24:18Speaker 1: disappointment comes from unexpressed expectations, expectations. So it's like I
- 24:24Speaker 1: did this a lot in our early days with Robbie,
- 24:27Speaker 1: Like I would just like have these high I mean,
- 24:29Speaker 1: my expectations were, you know, insanely high, and I would
- 24:33Speaker 1: never communicate them to him, and he's like, babe, I
- 24:36Speaker 1: can't read your mind, Like I have no idea. It
- 24:38Speaker 1: wasn't Valentine's Day, but it was other things, and I
- 24:41Speaker 1: was like, you know what, You're right, So now I'm
- 24:43Speaker 1: just super proactive about communicating my expectations.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Right, and like I said, I think when you have
- 24:50Speaker 2: very specific expectations as you did, those are things you
- 24:53Speaker 2: have to communicate because you don't have to read someone's mind.
- 24:55Speaker 2: But you don't have to read someone's mind to want
- 24:57Speaker 2: to be.
- 24:57Speaker 1: And I'd be like, what do you mean, I don't
- 24:59Speaker 1: expect this. I write you a note every single day
- 25:02Speaker 1: of my life, Like you know what I mean? Like,
- 25:05Speaker 1: get on my level.
- 25:07Speaker 3: He thinks that you just want to do that, right,
- 25:09Speaker 3: which I do, Which I do.
- 25:10Speaker 1: But I'm like, you know, this is the level at
- 25:12Speaker 1: which I operate.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Well, it's a high level. It's a high level.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Meet me there, disappear.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Did you watch the Winter Olympics? Have you been keeping
- 25:21Speaker 3: up at all?
- 25:23Speaker 1: So we have okay, no, a little bit of a
- 25:26Speaker 1: trade off if it's unseen bits for Love Island. I'll
- 25:29Speaker 1: let him watch the Olympics. Wow. And on his birthday
- 25:34Speaker 1: I let him Wow.
- 25:35Speaker 3: She is generous, folks.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I'm nothing if not generous.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Well, we haven't been watching a lot of things, but
- 25:41Speaker 2: we watched the ice skating, which was really exciting.
- 25:45Speaker 3: You know who won, Alyssa lou Yes, yeah, she's so.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I watched.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I did like the ice skating. I love so I
- 25:51Speaker 1: think it's leu.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Oh really yeah, oh ALYSSI leu. Wow. Has everyone been
- 25:57Speaker 3: saying it wrong or am I just hearing it wrong?
- 25:59Speaker 6: I have audio of her saying it herself.
- 26:01Speaker 3: So she's so cute.
- 26:04Speaker 2: And I love her mentality because when I first watched her,
- 26:09Speaker 2: the Tara Lepinske and Johnny Ware were talking about how
- 26:12Speaker 2: she just like has no expectation talk about expectations.
- 26:17Speaker 3: She just was like there to skate. She just loves skating.
- 26:21Speaker 1: What I have a side note, do not let me
- 26:23Speaker 1: forget Tara Lepinskey. I continue.
- 26:25Speaker 2: So we watching her, I was like, she looks I
- 26:30Speaker 2: felt like I was watching everyone skate and you could
- 26:32Speaker 2: see the stress on their face or like they were
- 26:35Speaker 2: thinking about if they were going to hit their next
- 26:37Speaker 2: jump whatever. Her face was so relaxed and just seemed
- 26:40Speaker 2: like she was having the best time. And I also
- 26:42Speaker 2: love that she was kind of like I'm not gonna
- 26:44Speaker 2: starve myself to be a specific body, Like I'm just
- 26:48Speaker 2: I'm just doing what I love and I'm not going
- 26:49Speaker 2: to like change myself to fit into this mold.
- 26:52Speaker 1: And she won, and she won, and I feel like
- 26:54Speaker 1: it's such.
- 26:54Speaker 2: A testament of like something that women specifically need because
- 26:59Speaker 2: there's this like box, especially in Olympic sports. I feel
- 27:02Speaker 2: like you're supposed to fit into this mold and look
- 27:04Speaker 2: a certain way and act a certain way. And she
- 27:06Speaker 2: was just like, I'm just doing something I love and
- 27:09Speaker 2: if I win, amazing.
- 27:10Speaker 3: If I don't win, amazing.
- 27:12Speaker 1: That reminds me of Shoot. Her name is escaping me now,
- 27:17Speaker 1: the woman that won the gold in Shoot, old Mom.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I texted her to.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Myself, Elena Myers.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Yes, Becca, Yes, what did she win the golden?
- 27:30Speaker 3: She won in the bob sledding?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Thank you? So after she won, she thanked like her
- 27:38Speaker 1: family opposition, she thinks her kids and her husband, and
- 27:40Speaker 1: then she thanked her nannies. And I was like, it's
- 27:44Speaker 1: so interesting to me that women feel like they need to,
- 27:47Speaker 1: like they they want to thank the people that are
- 27:51Speaker 1: helping them take care of their kids that they can
- 27:53Speaker 1: spend the time training and doing all these things. Like
- 27:56Speaker 1: there are many men.
- 27:58Speaker 3: That also have nana also nannies that.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Have never once ever, ever ever thanked them in any
- 28:04Speaker 1: sort of capacity. And like you were saying, Halsey did
- 28:07Speaker 1: the same thing during like one of her shows, thanked
- 28:09Speaker 1: her sider, her nanny and it just like really it
- 28:13Speaker 1: like it was an interesting thing because Robbie actually picked
- 28:17Speaker 1: up on it. He was like, wow, like thanking her
- 28:20Speaker 1: nannies because she wouldn't be able to be as good
- 28:22Speaker 1: and do this without having help. And the fact that
- 28:24Speaker 1: she like acknowledges that, you know. Yeah, like it's such
- 28:27Speaker 1: a thing like women take it upon even though it's
- 28:30Speaker 1: she has a husband and shared responsibility, but women take
- 28:33Speaker 1: it on themselves, you know what I mean.
- 28:35Speaker 3: M hm. She's also the oldest Winter Olympian to wing
- 28:38Speaker 3: gold in an individual event at forty one years old.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Breaking the mold.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Breaking the mold.
- 28:43Speaker 1: That's what we did. We love to see it. Actually
- 28:47Speaker 1: we were doing We were watching ice skating one night
- 28:49Speaker 1: and Robbie was like, I think we could do this.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I was like, because you have really strong legs. It's like, think.
- 29:00Speaker 3: You can do this? Please?
- 29:02Speaker 1: I was like, you're joking.
- 29:04Speaker 3: I need y'all to go to an ice rin.
- 29:06Speaker 1: We've ice skated before. We're pretty good.
- 29:09Speaker 3: But you know, Hailey's mom is an ice skating choreographer.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe she could.
- 29:15Speaker 3: We did just do like a YouTube video of y'all
- 29:17Speaker 3: learning a pair skating routine.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I was like, you're crazy if you think there's And
- 29:21Speaker 1: I'm like, also the way that they just toss these
- 29:25Speaker 1: blades in the air, I'm like you I could kick
- 29:28Speaker 1: an eye out with those things. Like very dangerous yeah yeah,
- 29:32Speaker 1: not just like throwing me around.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a dangerous weaponry. Yeah, I did ask. I
- 29:39Speaker 3: was asking Haley's mom.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I was like, you know when the pair skaters, when
- 29:45Speaker 2: the woman will stand on the man's legs with her blades.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Yeah. I was like, how they must have padding.
- 29:51Speaker 3: They don't. She said, it's just where. It's the specific
- 29:53Speaker 3: location where they.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Freeze, if when they hold their blades, like when they're
- 29:57Speaker 1: like doing those fans and I'm like, are they wearing glove?
- 30:00Speaker 1: I was like, what are they not getting slit their hands?
- 30:02Speaker 1: Like this is crazy?
- 30:04Speaker 3: Safe to say, Tania and I will not be entering
- 30:07Speaker 3: the Winter Olympics anytime soon.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Well, okay, so because of Traders, I have like Terre
- 30:13Speaker 1: Lipinski and is it Johnny where wire we're we're We're
- 30:17Speaker 1: I see their videos all the time, and so I
- 30:20Speaker 1: was like clicking around just like see their profiles because
- 30:23Speaker 1: I watched Traders and guess who follows me on Instagram? Tara, Tara,
- 30:31Speaker 1: that's an Olympian. An Olympic gold medal skater follows me
- 30:37Speaker 1: on Instagram, Like what, I.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Wonder if you could see when she followed you.
- 30:43Speaker 1: I don't know, but I saw it said follow back,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and then I was like, oh my gosh. Like I
- 30:47Speaker 1: was with Sebby and we were both freaking out because
- 30:50Speaker 1: we watched Traders. I was like, oh my.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Gosh, he follow her back, not like her Olympian like run,
- 30:56Speaker 3: but like we watched Traders.
- 30:58Speaker 1: He was like, follow her back. I was like, okay, back,
- 31:01Speaker 1: So now I'm following her too.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Oh wow, Okay.
- 31:02Speaker 1: So now the podcaternet friendship with Tara Lepinsky.
- 31:06Speaker 3: She'd be a great podcast.
- 31:07Speaker 1: She'd be a great podcast guest. Now that we're internet friends.
- 31:11Speaker 2: We got so into the skating that we were going
- 31:14Speaker 2: back and watching Tara Lepinski's Olympian performances.
- 31:18Speaker 3: She was like sixteen, she was fifteen. She was so tiny.
- 31:24Speaker 3: It was crazy watching.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Really excellent skater, really horrible at.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Traders, but still in the game.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Yet because I think she's so bad, They're like, you
- 31:37Speaker 1: got to keep them in the game to like you
- 31:39Speaker 1: know what I mean, people who don't know what's going on.
- 31:41Speaker 3: It's good. What did you think about Trader? Where are
- 31:44Speaker 3: you at?
- 31:44Speaker 2: I think they're on to Rob. I think Rob might go.
- 31:47Speaker 2: I think that I think the Faithfuls might win.
- 31:49Speaker 1: So I read this theory because I was just like,
- 31:53Speaker 1: Maura Higgins is so obsessed with Rob, Like the fact
- 31:56Speaker 1: that she doesn't even sniff him out at all is
- 31:58Speaker 1: like so crazy mm hmm. But then I read this
- 32:01Speaker 1: theory that says Maura knows Rob is a trader, she's
- 32:05Speaker 1: keeping him close so that they can get to the end,
- 32:09Speaker 1: and then she's gonna like banish him, yeah, and win
- 32:13Speaker 1: the whole thing. I hope so, and she's been so
- 32:18Speaker 1: digmatized it's crazy. Yeah, that's gonna be I'm gonna be
- 32:22Speaker 1: really sad.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Like when they when they finally started going, But why
- 32:27Speaker 3: did Candace say his name? I'm like, fine, somebody that
- 32:31Speaker 3: was Tara. Yeah, She's like, why would Candace have said
- 32:36Speaker 3: his name twice? I'm like, okay, let's keep it going.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been a fun season though.
- 32:44Speaker 1: It's been a very fun season.
- 32:46Speaker 2: And I felt bad for Natalie because they totally just
- 32:50Speaker 2: like screwed her.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I feel sad for Natalie when she said, like, I'm
- 32:55Speaker 1: usually like an outcast and I don't get a look.
- 32:57Speaker 1: She said something about like how she doesn't really get
- 32:59Speaker 1: along with people or something and that she really like
- 33:02Speaker 1: let her guard down to like open up to them
- 33:04Speaker 1: and then she got screwed. I would like got really emotional.
- 33:06Speaker 3: I know.
- 33:07Speaker 2: That's the thing about this show is that it is
- 33:09Speaker 2: a game, and it's like you're you don't you're. The
- 33:11Speaker 2: whole point is you're not supposed to trust anybody or
- 33:13Speaker 2: let your guard.
- 33:14Speaker 1: I'm trusting everybody, know, like they trust way too much.
- 33:18Speaker 2: If you ever get to go on there, you have
- 33:20Speaker 2: to remember you cannot let your guard down.
- 33:23Speaker 1: No, Like this whole housewives don't turn on each other
- 33:25Speaker 1: thing is the dumbest rule because of like why would
- 33:29Speaker 1: you just trust a housewife because she's a housewife.
- 33:31Speaker 6: I know, what are your thoughts on the possibility of
- 33:34Speaker 6: Rob r being the next Bachelor?
- 33:36Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I would love it. The girls would
- 33:39Speaker 3: be so.
- 33:41Speaker 1: It'd be bad.
- 33:42Speaker 3: It'd be very it would be like carnage.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it would be very bad.
- 33:46Speaker 2: It would be the best season maybe of all time,
- 33:49Speaker 2: but like devastating because the girls would just be traumatized.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Him just not ending up with someone just being like
- 33:58Speaker 3: I don't like any of y'all. I like snakes. Yeah,
- 34:04Speaker 3: he I think he has a girlfriend though he.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Does wah, but I don't think that's his girlfriend.
- 34:10Speaker 2: He's hanging out with someone. I'm sure if the Bachelor
- 34:12Speaker 2: opportunity came, he would take it.
- 34:14Speaker 1: That would be an If the Bachelor knew what was right,
- 34:18Speaker 1: they would go after him.
- 34:19Speaker 6: I mean, these rumors are out there, they come from somewhere, right.
- 34:22Speaker 1: That would be an amazing that one.
- 34:24Speaker 6: Robert Win is the other one. I hear a lot.
- 34:27Speaker 3: That could be good in its own way.
- 34:29Speaker 1: More sweet, innocent, delicate, delicate, Yeah, not as ruthless.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Yeah, okay. If I'm wanting like trashy reality TV, get
- 34:37Speaker 3: me Rob. If I'm wanting a good love story, get
- 34:40Speaker 3: me Robert.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Yeah, oh Robert or Rob.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Unless Robert one hiding something.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Hillary Duff Oh yeah sorry, I was just like, still
- 34:53Speaker 1: on the whole Traders please.
- 34:55Speaker 2: So do you think let's just predict because the finales
- 34:58Speaker 2: this week?
- 34:58Speaker 1: Yeah, faithful traders. I think the I think it's gonna
- 35:08Speaker 1: be the Traders. If not Mark, if not Robin, Eric,
- 35:13Speaker 1: it'll be Rob. It's his game to lose. In my opinion,
- 35:16Speaker 1: I think it's faith really yeah, because I specifically.
- 35:21Speaker 3: How does that work? So like how many people go
- 35:24Speaker 3: home before someone went and.
- 35:25Speaker 1: So it's basically now, whoever gets banished, they're not gonna
- 35:29Speaker 1: say if they're a trader or faithful, So that is
- 35:32Speaker 1: like done, that part of the game is over. So
- 35:35Speaker 1: now basically what's gonna happen is they're gonna what we
- 35:39Speaker 1: saw the previews. They're gonna kill one more person tonight,
- 35:43Speaker 1: remember the person that goes into the thing. And then
- 35:46Speaker 1: basically how it works when I think there's like five
- 35:49Speaker 1: left is they kind of go round and they throw
- 35:53Speaker 1: the red and the green things into the flame. Red
- 35:56Speaker 1: means you're done banishing. Green means you want to banish again.
- 35:59Speaker 1: And I think they the throw until everybody throws red.
- 36:02Speaker 1: So there's usually two people left.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's between two people that could be a
- 36:08Speaker 3: faithful or trader.
- 36:09Speaker 1: It could be a faith or it could be two faithfuls,
- 36:11Speaker 1: it could be two traders. I don't think I've ever
- 36:13Speaker 1: seen two traders, but I don't think i've seen more
- 36:16Speaker 1: than three people win it.
- 36:17Speaker 3: I think.
- 36:20Speaker 2: That Maura might be the one who gets killed because
- 36:27Speaker 2: I think Rob would do it to make them think
- 36:30Speaker 2: like we'll we'll Mara was Rob's like ally if.
- 36:34Speaker 1: It was, so, it's an interesting thought. However, I think
- 36:39Speaker 1: they have to break up Tara and Johnny because that's
- 36:41Speaker 1: two votes. They're going to vote the same no matter what.
- 36:43Speaker 1: You're kind of outnumbered unless you kill one of them.
- 36:46Speaker 1: So one of them has got to go.
- 36:47Speaker 3: I think Tara no. I think Johnny might go.
- 36:49Speaker 1: I think Johnny's gonna go. Okay, love you, Tara Lipinski,
- 36:53Speaker 1: my new friend, but she's just so off that like,
- 36:56Speaker 1: we need, we need, we need the chaos.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Okay, So Johnny goes okay, and then I think Tara
- 37:02Speaker 2: and Maura might win.
- 37:04Speaker 3: You think I'd like it.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I like to see it, you'd like to see it.
- 37:08Speaker 2: I'd like to think that Mara is known this whole
- 37:10Speaker 2: time and is just keeping our enemies close, Sir.
- 37:12Speaker 1: That would be epic. If Moran did that, I'd be
- 37:15Speaker 1: very happy. However, I think it's Rob's game to lose. Okay,
- 37:19Speaker 1: all right, It's very hard to win as a trader.
- 37:21Speaker 1: There's only been like a couple sore and then the
- 37:25Speaker 1: one guy from the UK and yeah, yeah, so it's
- 37:29Speaker 1: really hard to win as a trader because once you
- 37:31Speaker 1: get a little bit of sent on you.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I did not like that and that in the microphone though.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, once the faithful get a little scent, I.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Know they're on you.
- 37:40Speaker 1: They're on you. Yeah, So we shall see.
- 37:43Speaker 3: We shall see the finale.
- 37:45Speaker 1: The embarrassment of riches of television this week is like
- 37:48Speaker 1: between this finale, Beast Games finale is this week and
- 37:52Speaker 1: Survivor fifty starts this week.
- 37:54Speaker 3: Are you watching Love Story? The Callen Bessett and It's.
- 37:57Speaker 1: My It's on My List? Love Story? And the Tyra
- 37:59Speaker 1: Banks the America's Next Top Model documentary?
- 38:03Speaker 3: That was just like hard to watch? Honestly, you watched it.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I watched the first episode and it's just it the
- 38:07Speaker 3: episode or is it just a documentary? Yeah? I don't know.
- 38:11Speaker 3: I would like to see one that tyro Vicks doesn't produce,
- 38:14Speaker 3: like I want to see the raw.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Did you ever watch America's Next Top Model?
- 38:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:18Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 38:19Speaker 3: And it's crazy because like as they're introducing people, you
- 38:22Speaker 3: remember them. Haley and I were like, oh my gosh,
- 38:23Speaker 3: I remember these people, And then I was like, did
- 38:25Speaker 3: I watch every single season? I did?
- 38:27Speaker 1: I was obsessed with that show.
- 38:29Speaker 3: I do want to talk about Hillary Duff's new album okay,
- 38:32Speaker 3: because I have my thoughts, but we'll do it when
- 38:35Speaker 3: we come back.
- 38:51Speaker 6: We're back.
- 38:52Speaker 3: Oh, I was like trying to let the sound brief
- 38:54Speaker 3: for a second. We're back.
- 38:58Speaker 2: So you know, Hillary Duff had two singles that came
- 39:02Speaker 2: out before the album. I was a little I was like,
- 39:04Speaker 2: I like them, but I didn't. I wasn't all in. Yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 2: So when hearing about her album, I was excited to listen,
- 39:11Speaker 2: but not like all in.
- 39:13Speaker 1: You were like, eh, I wasn't it.
- 39:14Speaker 3: I was just like, I am obsessed. It's all I've
- 39:19Speaker 3: listened to since.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I came out, listening to it a lot too.
- 39:22Speaker 3: I specifically two songs have been on repeat for.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Tell me Okay, I'm gonna see if they're the one
- 39:28Speaker 1: same ones that I like as well.
- 39:29Speaker 6: By the way, Easton shared with me his for this
- 39:32Speaker 6: discussion as well.
- 39:33Speaker 3: You know, and I have discussed ours as well.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Hold on, okay, only two because I have three?
- 39:43Speaker 3: Well, there's two that I just go back and forth.
- 39:45Speaker 2: I've listened to the whole album multiple times, but there's
- 39:48Speaker 2: two that like, I'll play on repeat like you do
- 39:51Speaker 2: with songs.
- 39:51Speaker 1: Okay, we don't talk and growing up. Yes, those two
- 39:55Speaker 1: yes swear yes, Okay, So those are my two favorite,
- 39:59Speaker 1: and then my next is Weather for Tennis, and then
- 40:02Speaker 1: Holiday Party. I like Weather rounds out my top four.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Okay, we Don't Talk is so catchy, so catchy. It
- 40:11Speaker 2: sounds similar to the dough Chi song and Somebody that
- 40:14Speaker 2: We Used to Know, which I think is a just
- 40:17Speaker 2: a really catchy hook.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Oh you know. Her husband, Matthew Koma is like, yeah,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I'm might have to do a little research on this,
- 40:24Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure he did Carl Ray Jepson's call
- 40:27Speaker 1: Me Maybe, Oh okay, let me ask chatchy.
- 40:30Speaker 3: So he knows a little thing about petchy.
- 40:32Speaker 1: He knows a little thing about catchy.
- 40:34Speaker 3: So I love We Don't Talk so much. I sing
- 40:39Speaker 3: it all day. If I'm not listening to it, I'm
- 40:41Speaker 3: humming it, I'm singing it.
- 40:44Speaker 1: It's very good.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Hailey loves it.
- 40:47Speaker 1: No, Matthew Coma did not produce Call Me Maybe, so
- 40:50Speaker 1: spoiler alert, I was wrong. But he did work with
- 40:53Speaker 1: Carl Ray Jebson on other songs like this kiss Okay,
- 40:58Speaker 1: but had no production credit on call Maybe, So forget.
- 41:02Speaker 3: I said that, yeah, but it was a good thought.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I like that song though the other Carli Red Jeffson
- 41:09Speaker 1: is on Catchy as well, just not as catchy as
- 41:11Speaker 1: Call Me.
- 41:12Speaker 3: She has a lot of catchy songs. Yeah, that makes sense.
- 41:15Speaker 1: I love I'm with You. I want to go to
- 41:16Speaker 1: her tour when she comes to La. I really want
- 41:18Speaker 1: to know this last time she was in La.
- 41:20Speaker 3: I know she comes back to La on this tour.
- 41:25Speaker 1: It's in a long time.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I think we have time to get tickets.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Yeah. I think she's touring like all of but the year.
- 41:32Speaker 3: So I think Easton shared the same top two.
- 41:35Speaker 6: Yeah, same top two and then he added in one
- 41:37Speaker 6: other one. Do you know what that was? You from
- 41:40Speaker 6: the Honeymoon?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I don't know.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Those are his three favorites.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Okay, well growing Up is is it an interpolation or
- 41:50Speaker 2: is it a sample?
- 41:52Speaker 1: I think it's an interpolation because it's the same exact words,
- 41:56Speaker 1: but it's a different it's a different arrangement.
- 41:59Speaker 3: But it's from the blank twe eighty two song.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Damn it, this is growing on Mamma. Yeah.
- 42:07Speaker 3: I went to listen to it and it was jarring
- 42:09Speaker 3: from her voice and there's this like blank twan eity
- 42:12Speaker 3: two is like really punk.
- 42:13Speaker 1: You know, I even realized it was in her. I
- 42:14Speaker 1: was like, why do I know all the words of
- 42:16Speaker 1: this song?
- 42:19Speaker 2: But I'm obsessed. I love both of those specifically. But
- 42:23Speaker 2: my one of my favorite things was what Matthew Coma
- 42:25Speaker 2: wrote about her album coming out, and he.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Wrote like a long did you read it?
- 42:31Speaker 2: His post about her, and he was just saying, like
- 42:34Speaker 2: her whole career, she's done like what other people wanted
- 42:37Speaker 2: her to do, and this was the first time that
- 42:38Speaker 2: she just wanted to write an album that was like
- 42:40Speaker 2: her truth and like what she had been going through
- 42:42Speaker 2: and like what it was.
- 42:43Speaker 1: So I read this story that was about her and
- 42:46Speaker 1: she was like, I wanted to talk about the real
- 42:49Speaker 1: stuff about Like She's like, I'm a mom and I
- 42:52Speaker 1: have kids. I didn't want this album to be like
- 42:54Speaker 1: I'm so stressed picking up my kids from school and
- 42:56Speaker 1: making them dinner and like that that part of the motherhood.
- 42:58Speaker 1: She was like, I wanted to talk about like all
- 43:00Speaker 1: the other like layers to it and stuff, which is
- 43:03Speaker 1: like the one holiday party where her husband's like cheating
- 43:06Speaker 1: on her and like those insecurities and like you know
- 43:09Speaker 1: what I mean. I was like, that's so deep that
- 43:11Speaker 1: she's like sharing that.
- 43:12Speaker 3: But I just love it because he was basically like she.
- 43:17Speaker 2: I think it's so cool that, of course everyone's always
- 43:20Speaker 2: loved Hillary Duff, Like there's never been a moment, even
- 43:22Speaker 2: when she's.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Our unproblematic queen.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Every Yeah, even when she wasn't really doing anything that
- 43:26Speaker 2: was in the spotlight, people still wanted more from her
- 43:30Speaker 2: since she was on Lizzie MacGuire, Like that's been her
- 43:32Speaker 2: whole life. And she's really interesting in that way because
- 43:35Speaker 2: a lot of people have had that fame and that
- 43:38Speaker 2: attention and then once they stopped doing something, people kind
- 43:41Speaker 2: of forgot about them.
- 43:42Speaker 3: Yeah, and no one's ever forgotten about Hillary Duff.
- 43:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder why that is.
- 43:46Speaker 2: But with music, because she hasn't released music in so long,
- 43:50Speaker 2: I'm sure there was so much fear or like thought
- 43:52Speaker 2: process of like what am I doing? No one's gonna
- 43:54Speaker 2: care about me. I haven't released music in so long.
- 43:57Speaker 2: What if people don't show up? And I just love
- 44:00Speaker 2: that everything has sold out to the degree where it's
- 44:03Speaker 2: like we're announcing a world tour, We're doing it all.
- 44:06Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, No people are showing up for her.
- 44:08Speaker 1: She is she really is like the unproblematic queen. Yeah,
- 44:11Speaker 1: the only time I've heard any scuttle around her. Was
- 44:14Speaker 1: this like toxic mom drama?
- 44:16Speaker 6: Right?
- 44:17Speaker 1: And it seems like that kind of just like went away.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, just like everything on the internet, it comes
- 44:23Speaker 3: and it goes.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Comes and it goes. Also, I have a little bone
- 44:26Speaker 1: to take with somebody.
- 44:27Speaker 3: Christen Bell, and Bell girl needs.
- 44:30Speaker 1: To stop taking my jobs.
- 44:32Speaker 3: What else did she take the show?
- 44:35Speaker 1: Nobody wants this. I could have played her character. I'm
- 44:39Speaker 1: living it. You're not an actress, whatever, Tomato, tomato.
- 44:43Speaker 3: It's very sad.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Well, I actually think you're Aaron uh Foster. Yeah, Aaron
- 44:49Speaker 2: Foster's life. Yes, she's really taking she's taking your life.
- 44:54Speaker 3: Yes, yes that is Christin Bell is simply a vessel.
- 44:57Speaker 1: But now, Kristen Bell, I have taken my role in
- 45:01Speaker 1: Sonic the Hedgehog four as Amy Rose, and I.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Think it was probably between y'all two at the end
- 45:06Speaker 2: and they edge up.
- 45:10Speaker 3: Edge you know, can we hear just a.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Line another one bites the dust?
- 45:16Speaker 3: Can we hear a line in your Amy Roe's voice?
- 45:20Speaker 3: Just just come on, Sonic, let's go up. Even you
- 45:23Speaker 3: can't get the clear.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I didn't have to say give me a line that
- 45:27Speaker 1: different than.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Almost very high and I almost felt like I couldn't
- 45:33Speaker 2: hear what you were saying because it.
- 45:34Speaker 3: Was so high.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Let me get like an actual line. Mhmm, Sonic, a
- 45:41Speaker 1: girl friend.
- 45:45Speaker 3: Anything else.
- 45:46Speaker 1: That's all gave me. I'll say more, please, Okay, here
- 45:55Speaker 1: we go. If I had to choose between the world
- 45:57Speaker 1: and Sonic, I would choose Sonic.
- 46:00Speaker 3: It's good. It needs some wait for me, it needs
- 46:04Speaker 3: some like cleaning up, and I.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Think it had.
- 46:07Speaker 6: It was more in the back of your throat before
- 46:09Speaker 6: there was.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Just because of the girl that's so scary.
- 46:15Speaker 6: I sent you a couple of more sample lines from
- 46:17Speaker 6: Amy via text here, so I feel like it was
- 46:20Speaker 6: it had more. I don't know, there's more character to it.
- 46:22Speaker 6: Right now, you're just doing yourself.
- 46:24Speaker 3: Tails.
- 46:24Speaker 1: You did it, but yeah, it's not hitting.
- 46:27Speaker 6: You're just doing Tanya high pitched. This had more of
- 46:29Speaker 6: a character to it.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, Tails, you did it, But what are you
- 46:33Speaker 1: doing here on this island?
- 46:35Speaker 3: You didn't do that with your lips? I didn't know.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I think that felt stronger.
- 46:39Speaker 6: I think it was a step in the right direction.
- 46:42Speaker 1: I feel as though the fact that I can't do
- 46:43Speaker 1: the same voice every time I problematic.
- 46:46Speaker 2: That's gonna that's what was gonna hinder you. Yeah, they
- 46:48Speaker 2: had to go with someone who had some little more.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Consistency, which you could have gotten there if they give
- 46:53Speaker 3: you the chance. But they didn't have time.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Nobody gave me the chance punch the monkey.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Side again, he's comparing yourself to punch the monkey is crazy.
- 47:08Speaker 3: We are.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Leaving today, but say we're leaving all.
- 47:14Speaker 2: The week because we will be back on Thursday with
- 47:16Speaker 2: the Dear Bonnie episode.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Also, someone wrote like, I feel like this.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Is the longest ongoing prank of us trying to find
- 47:22Speaker 2: the jingle for Dear Bonia. So I'm curious if the
- 47:25Speaker 2: people like us trying to find a Dear Bonia jingle
- 47:29Speaker 2: or if we just give it up till we have
- 47:31Speaker 2: the one that we want.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I think we give it up till we find the one. Okay,
- 47:33Speaker 1: we shouldn't be like workshopping so much like on the show.
- 47:36Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Okay, I respect they the wishes.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so we'll be back anyways with the Dear Bond.
- 47:45Speaker 3: We'll be back with more jingles. No, I'm just kidding.
- 47:48Speaker 2: We'll be back on Thursday with the Dear Bonnia episode.
- 47:52Speaker 3: You much b
