- 0:25Speaker 1: Yes? Is it four weeks?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Yes?
- 0:27Speaker 1: Weeks? Was it literally today? Yeah?
- 0:30Speaker 3: Well we've got an email from Kate saying exactly a
- 0:33Speaker 3: month today.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Well, she's exactly a month till Christmas, all right, but yeah,
- 0:37Speaker 2: we've got four weeks work left.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Yes, it's the twenty fourth and November Jays, so in
- 0:42Speaker 1: a month it'll be Christmas Eve. Yeah, isn't that cute?
- 0:46Speaker 3: Really looking forward to that? Actually, yes, just just Christmas.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Just fucking chilling, man, you know what I mean.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I've told you about this before.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I have this fantasy often when I'm driving into.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Work of just with the three up? Is that the
- 1:02Speaker 2: three way? No, not that one?
- 1:05Speaker 1: Their names again and it's a four way.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Oh right, I'll just keep on dragon, just head out
- 1:14Speaker 3: to the old coast there and then what.
- 1:18Speaker 1: And what do you meet? I can swim, drive to
- 1:22Speaker 1: the coast point, we walk into the ocean. Not that
- 1:26Speaker 1: I need to swim.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I just bathe, you know, I do a little dolphin
- 1:31Speaker 3: dives and just float.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Okay, Well the thing with that is, then what do
- 1:34Speaker 1: you do?
- 1:35Speaker 3: Fish? Read?
- 1:37Speaker 1: Eat right and the walk that night? You build a fire,
- 1:43Speaker 1: watch some move. I'm talking about the batch here, ah,
- 1:46Speaker 1: the bet.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Because I look at a day like this and I go, fun,
- 1:50Speaker 3: you'll be it's about high tide now, tore fream up.
- 1:55Speaker 1: You feel you get sick of the beach after a while, though,
- 1:58Speaker 1: no I wouldn't really. But the longest you've been there
- 2:01Speaker 1: is like two days.
- 2:03Speaker 3: No, not quite really, probably about ten days really, and
- 2:07Speaker 3: you loved it and it was bliss yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah man.
- 2:09Speaker 1: But anyway, but a fishing man, you'd be in your element.
- 2:12Speaker 2: You'd be loving it.
- 2:13Speaker 3: My wife did a terrible thing to me last night,
- 2:17Speaker 3: a terrible thing filth.
- 2:19Speaker 1: No it wasn't film.
- 2:20Speaker 2: I don't mind a bit of filth.
- 2:21Speaker 1: What did she do to you? Man?
- 2:23Speaker 3: She booked this gig ages ago and said to me,
- 2:28Speaker 3: do you want to come? And I mean, I guess.
- 2:33Speaker 2: So, sure, as you're trying to watch more things this year, right,
- 2:38Speaker 2: so you're still a prick about it, but you go yeah.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Because you were merely one of her friends or one
- 2:45Speaker 3: of our friends there as well. And then I was like, oh,
- 2:48Speaker 3: it could be just a girl's night out.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's a good idea.
- 2:51Speaker 3: And it was the jubilation choir fuck that at the
- 2:55Speaker 3: Hollywood Theater with a Nikamaha.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Was a woman from Fair Patrol Julia Dean.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Julia Dean.
- 3:06Speaker 2: That sounds better now than what it did when you
- 3:08Speaker 2: said the name of it.
- 3:09Speaker 3: But for the first half it was just the jubilation choir.
- 3:13Speaker 3: But so singing blues numbers and.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Blues as a choir, I know about that as a
- 3:20Speaker 2: blues guitar based well not.
- 3:22Speaker 3: You know, sort of old slave songs and yeah, things
- 3:27Speaker 3: like that. Is that that's.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Where the blues come from. Pain in those words and.
- 3:32Speaker 3: From the first note. When they all came out, guys
- 3:36Speaker 3: just loved it so much. I just went My wife
- 3:41Speaker 3: looked at me and just cracked up laughing.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I was, see, this is the issue. Next, you're gonna
- 3:49Speaker 1: be like, no, I'm not saying yes to things anymore,
- 3:51Speaker 1: because that was ship. But the things you're saying yes to,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you know that they're going to be boring. I just
- 3:55Speaker 1: wasn't paying it.
- 3:56Speaker 3: No, some of the some of the things I've gone
- 3:58Speaker 3: out to have been really good, but this wasn't one
- 4:00Speaker 3: of them.
- 4:00Speaker 1: An all credit to the choir. They were fine, it's
- 4:02Speaker 1: just not your it's not my cup of tea.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I ran into a couple of people that you work
- 4:07Speaker 2: with on your secret project on Friday night at the
- 4:11Speaker 2: Screen Awards, and we're chatting about you, Yes, chatting about
- 4:14Speaker 2: old Hoody j there and they were saying, what a
- 4:17Speaker 2: joy you had to have on set.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Come on, I'm perfectly nice and and how you like.
- 4:23Speaker 2: I said, I'll do I'll do my hoodie Ja impression
- 4:26Speaker 2: if you like. And they said, there you go. And
- 4:27Speaker 2: I said, ask me a question and they said, like,
- 4:30Speaker 2: do you want a coffee?
- 4:31Speaker 1: You know it? Oh my god, the idea of getting
- 4:39Speaker 1: a coffee.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody doing something for you.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Okay. The whole ky Big Show week days from four
- 4:50Speaker 1: on Radio Hiarchy The Big Show Podcast.
- 4:55Speaker 3: They did very well.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I think of the awards well they did. Yeah, won
- 4:58Speaker 2: a couple of awards by all. Yep, yep, that was good,
- 5:01Speaker 2: good night, really good.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Do you ever worry about your reputation?
- 5:05Speaker 3: Can I just can I just point out here, A
- 5:08Speaker 3: lot of the time I do it for people's amusement.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm not doing a lot. You're trying to amuse people
- 5:12Speaker 1: a lot.
- 5:13Speaker 3: I'm not having tantrums or anything like that.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'm just like, you're just a dark cloud.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just a Today today I was shockingly bad.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, just for a change.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I know this was next level bad and I was
- 5:33Speaker 3: just nothing to do with anyone fucking over it. And
- 5:38Speaker 3: but you know, again no tantrums.
- 5:41Speaker 1: But in between.
- 5:42Speaker 3: Every take, I had to fight fiercely hard to keep
- 5:46Speaker 3: my patience because I was just like.
- 5:49Speaker 1: You need to go on holidays, that's what you need.
- 5:52Speaker 2: It depends what it was though, what was going on,
- 5:54Speaker 2: because oftentimes it can be it can be worth it.
- 5:57Speaker 2: But it's been a long time. Actually, that's what they said.
- 6:01Speaker 2: This person said, they complimented you and they said, you know,
- 6:04Speaker 2: you've been doing the glod's work. I think you know,
- 6:07Speaker 2: with all the work that you've had to do, you've
- 6:08Speaker 2: been carrying the carrying a load around here. And she
- 6:11Speaker 2: actually they actually said that was.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I'm trying to think who this might be actually.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Said, no matter what, he always went up to you
- 6:21Speaker 2: old Jason will always went up here, so something will
- 6:23Speaker 2: be going on, you say, he always.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I was like, and they.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Said a few things, and I said, we've got that
- 6:28Speaker 2: on our show. We've we've got a sting for that
- 6:31Speaker 2: on show. And there was like three things in a row.
- 6:34Speaker 2: It was Fern. Oh yes, he was talking to on
- 6:38Speaker 2: the makeup cheer. I've met her before.
- 6:40Speaker 1: She was nice.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And your other mate there, neil Na Na what's her name.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm blanket on her name. She's an educators Tracy. I
- 6:49Speaker 2: shouldn't tell me that.
- 6:50Speaker 3: She was good.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I enjoy with They're a big fan.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I enjoy working with both of those people.
- 6:58Speaker 1: How was the screen Awards? Because I got the email
- 7:01Speaker 1: with all of the awards. Oh yes, congratulations to all
- 7:04Speaker 1: of the award winners, and I had to scroll for
- 7:06Speaker 1: ten seconds to get to the bottom of the awards.
- 7:08Speaker 1: It was a lot fucking How I cannot. I showed
- 7:11Speaker 1: my wife. I was like, guess, guess how many awards
- 7:13Speaker 1: there are? Tell me when you think I'm going to
- 7:14Speaker 1: stop scrolling. She's okay now, And I kept scrolling for
- 7:17Speaker 1: like another five seconds. Yeah, it was fun, It was
- 7:20Speaker 1: really really good.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That was a great vibe it was seated, and there
- 7:23Speaker 2: was food and purse the whole night you need.
- 7:27Speaker 1: She was just installs and it was dry no.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Pass yeah until after which yeah yeah, and it was
- 7:33Speaker 2: an absolute debacle. Yeah, but this time was really good,
- 7:36Speaker 2: except weirdly they went for about half an hour forty
- 7:39Speaker 2: minutes and then stopped for a forty minute break so
- 7:41Speaker 2: that they could bring all the food, all the dinner out,
- 7:43Speaker 2: So that was a bit of a random unnecessary But
- 7:47Speaker 2: what was really good was that they do awards and clusters,
- 7:50Speaker 2: so they would announce it. The peers won't come up
- 7:52Speaker 2: and get the award, and then they'll go on no speech. Great,
- 7:55Speaker 2: So there's a certain amount of people that had no speeches. Yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 2: it was still, it was still.
- 7:59Speaker 1: It was actually the leak was fine. That's good then, yeah,
- 8:02Speaker 1: because it's everyone spoke last year, everyone spoke after every war.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's too much.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And that was when we were just sitting like in
- 8:08Speaker 1: a grandstand and I had a little prison presenting thing
- 8:11Speaker 1: to do, and then after that I was just like,
- 8:12Speaker 1: fucking hour, this is sober, yeah, exactly.
- 8:14Speaker 3: And especially if you've got no pass. Yeah, and that
- 8:19Speaker 3: had a glass of wine because it was.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Tables and people are drinking. You go around and visit
- 8:22Speaker 2: people and go table hopping and have yarns to people
- 8:25Speaker 2: and all that year. So it was really good. That
- 8:26Speaker 2: was good times. Yes, did I know it was nominated?
- 8:30Speaker 2: So it would have been a shock to me if
- 8:32Speaker 2: I had.
- 8:33Speaker 1: What if it was like Lifetime Achievement Award Mike Minogue.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that would have been good. Although Sam Neil got it,
- 8:38Speaker 2: which makes more sense.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I could see why just on on the break there.
- 8:43Speaker 3: There was another joyous thing about last night was two
- 8:46Speaker 3: Parder and they had a half hour interval.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You just stayed in your seats, sighing is shocking in
- 8:53Speaker 2: half an hour or so long. But just make sure
- 8:55Speaker 2: they get enough piss, Yes, enough pisse.
- 8:58Speaker 1: And fucking hell me. The line was huge. I was like,
- 9:02Speaker 1: what the fuck what to get in? To get in?
- 9:05Speaker 3: It was all the way down the street and my
- 9:08Speaker 3: wife and I drove past.
- 9:09Speaker 1: We're like, oh, well, bit to go.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we tried.
- 9:13Speaker 3: It's a park about ten miles away.
- 9:16Speaker 1: There's like a I can't remember who it was, but
- 9:18Speaker 1: someone was. Basically, there are two types of people in
- 9:20Speaker 1: the world, the people that see the line or the
- 9:22Speaker 1: people that see the choir. So you see the line,
- 9:25Speaker 1: you go, it doesn't matter. I'm going to see this
- 9:27Speaker 1: great choir or there are people Okay, I'm guessing Jason,
- 9:29Speaker 1: probably you as well, Mike, and you just go, fuck that.
- 9:31Speaker 2: I'm not waiting on that line, So cuting the line either.
- 9:36Speaker 1: But like the example was that, say you've gone to
- 9:38Speaker 1: New York to the place that does the best bagels
- 9:41Speaker 1: in the world, and there's a big line. I'm not
- 9:42Speaker 1: knowing that for food exactly, well exactly, but you've flown
- 9:46Speaker 1: all the way to New York. You found the number
- 9:47Speaker 1: one place, and there's a bit of a line. That
- 9:49Speaker 1: might take an hour, but you'll get the best bagel
- 9:51Speaker 1: in the world an hour, no way. Yeah, see, I
- 9:53Speaker 1: would definitely wait for it.
- 9:54Speaker 2: No bagels that good, kids, It's a fucking baby.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It was just an example. Don It's a fucking bait.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I don't actually even like bagels that much. Exactly, sell
- 10:02Speaker 1: us an example.
- 10:03Speaker 3: What kind of what kind of der brain stays in
- 10:05Speaker 3: line for an hour to have a bagel that I
- 10:07Speaker 3: don't even want.
- 10:08Speaker 2: There are things that I would line up for for
- 10:10Speaker 2: an hour a percent, but bagel was just such a
- 10:13Speaker 2: bad example. There was a terrible example.
- 10:16Speaker 1: They tend to be very dully and well once I
- 10:19Speaker 1: got on it, I don't know. I guess it's got
- 10:21Speaker 1: like cream cheese.
- 10:24Speaker 3: No, I'd go cream cheese, Salmon lining up, lining up
- 10:28Speaker 3: for no fuck Man.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Good stuff, fellas. Hey, listen to The Big Show four
- 10:32Speaker 1: or seven weekdays Radio Hdarchy you like it
