- 0:36you name it, We're there or Glory to God. Amen, So
- 0:39welcome back to the Morning Devo. Another session. Listen, this one is
- 0:44no joke and that's why I call it. Sin is no joke for real,
- 0:49like for real, for real, Sin is no joke. You know,
- 0:54seriously, man, Jesus took the sins of the world, the punished
- 1:00upon himself to make a way for us to be cleansed from all unrighteousness and
- 1:07wickedness. And also he paid the sin debt right the wages of sin is
- 1:15what death and he paid that. And now he offers us eternal life through
- 1:19him only through him, only through him only through the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 1:26Can we get this salvation. Let me just check my audio. That sounds
- 1:30okay, Amen, So it's real. I know you could debate about it
- 1:36those for those who want to debate and say that's not true, you could
- 1:38get ahead and say it's not true. Amen. That'll be an unfortunate thing
- 1:44for you. If this is all true, then the wagees of sin is
- 1:49death. But the gift of life, the gift of eternal life, right
- 1:53is through God, through Christ Jesus. You choose sin is no joke.
- 2:00Do you ever think that God deals with sin too harshly? Like I heard
- 2:07people say, why would God punish a person eternally for a temporary thing,
- 2:13temporary mistake of temporary sin? Amen? I guess that's a good question,
- 2:17right. Why would God judge so harshly of a person that's doing this and
- 2:24doing that and doing the third that's against his will? I think God is
- 2:30too harsh when he judges sin. Well, guess who took the punishment for
- 2:35all of it? And it was an oddly way of taking the punishment for
- 2:40us all And then he didn't pass it on to someone else and say it's
- 2:46your fault, so now you have to pay for it. No, he
- 2:50took it upon himself. So the question is skewed. The question is weird,
- 2:54right do you ever think that God deals with sin too harshly? Well,
- 3:00if he does, who did he blame for it? And who took
- 3:04care of the sin that Mohammad Buddha, Joseph Smith, mister Russell over there
- 3:13with the Joel Witnesses, your favorite preacher, pastor, apostles, teacher,
- 3:17prophet, evangelists. No Jesus himself took the punishment on himself. We're gonna
- 3:23be in James chapter four, verses eight to ten. James, Chapter four,
- 3:28verses eight to ten. Sin is no joke. And I know you
- 3:31know that. I don't have to go on point at everybody and be like,
- 3:36yo, you're doing this wrong, you're doing this wrong. Then look
- 3:38in the mirror and say, Sam, you're doing We know wrong is wrong.
- 3:44Wrong will never be right right. We know that, but right is
- 3:49right. Right will never be wrong right. So we know these things.
- 3:55Common sense tells us. Listen, if you steal somebody's from somebody's property,
- 4:01there's going to be a consequence for that if you get caught. We have
- 4:06an all seeing God. We might think we have you know, all planned
- 4:11out. Oh, nobody's gonna know, and we forget. And this happens
- 4:15with my young brothers and sisters in Christ. They think they forget that God
- 4:19sees everything. And although we might not know what the younger are doing.
- 4:26Amen, And they might have their own little crew of sinnership if that's a
- 4:33word, sinnership, sinship, God sees it all. Thank God for his
- 4:38grace, right and his mercy. So sin is no joke on the Morning
- 4:43Devo. Good morning Sisters, Joanne, Good morning God bless you. Welcome
- 4:46back to the Morning Devo. Sin. There's no joke today in the Morning

- 6:31you that although you took the punishment for us, and although people still don't
- 6:39believe in you, I thank you for your grace and your mercy and your
- 6:42patience, that you wish that none should perish but everyone have everlasting life.
- 6:48Thank you, Lo God for being patient with me. Thank you, Lo
- 6:51God for being patient with my family and for my friends, and for people
- 6:56represented on the other side of the screen, on other side of this mic,
- 6:59that you have patience with them as well. Thank you, Lo God
- 7:01for what you've done and what you continue to do. And you rescue,
- 7:04you continue to save, you continue to heal, you continue to just transform
- 7:12lives and transform hearts. Thank you, Lo God for what you're doing.
- 7:15I pray a head of protection over every single person in their mindset right now,
- 7:19if they're contemplating lor God sin, or they're contemplating stealing or even killing,
- 7:28or doing something that they know they should not be doing outside of your
- 7:30will. I pray Lord God that you would give us back our conscience,
- 7:35a God conscience, and you continue, Lo God to lead us by way
- 7:40of your Holy Spirit. I pray forth angels to every single household, every
- 7:45single place of work, every single school, every single place where people are
- 7:48found that need you. Right now, I pray them forth by the authority
- 7:53of the power of your name, Jesus the Christ, the Machik McGee,
- 7:57the anointed One, the Alpha, and Omega hakkadash. I pray Lord got
- 8:03fourth from your word to every single person that's willing to listen and willing to
- 8:07obey in Jesus name. And we all say amen and amen, listen,
- 8:13let's go for it. Shared us our sixty seconds, and when we come
- 8:16back, we'll get right into today's morning DeVos send us no joke James,
- 8:20chapter number four, verses eight to ten. I'll be right back. Amen.
- 9:35Amen, we're back. Let's go for it. Let's see what the
- 9:37word is for today. How we're going to read this and apply it into
- 9:41our lives. That's the question, right, Not only knowing something, but
- 9:46applying something into your life is so much more powerful than just reading a scripture
- 9:50from the Bible. And it's saying, man, that's cool, that's nice,
- 9:54and walking away from it and never applying it in your life. And
- 9:56man, that's just like you're short changing. And I'm talking to myself too,
- 10:03right, I want to apply this because I know if this is all
- 10:07true, I'll say if, just out of respect for people who don't believe.
- 10:11If this is all true, then it should work in your life right,
- 10:13and it should work in my life in real time. It should be
- 10:18relevant to what we're facing now. This god of the scriptures should be able
- 10:22to respond to us his children. If he's our heavenly father and where his
- 10:28children, he should be able to respond, react. He should be able
- 10:33to save, rescue. He should be able to move freely through our hearts
- 10:37and minds right, and he should be able to rebuke us. He should
- 10:45be able to lead us back in the right direction. He should be able
- 10:50to chastise us. He should be able to tell us, listen, you're
- 10:52doing this wrong. If he's all having any father, why wouldn't we listen
- 10:56to him? Hey, man, think about it. Send us no joke.
- 11:01Sin is pleasurable. The Bible says, for a confused of why people
- 11:03sin, I understand. I'm not confused of why my sinful nature tries to
- 11:09come and be in front of God as an idol. I understand all of
- 11:13that. I'm a human being just like you are. And if you're a
- 11:16martian or from out of the planet some other planet. Welcome to the morning,
- 11:22Devo, and Jesus is Lord over your planet too, just in case,
- 11:26right, And if AI is trying to reformulate what I'm saying, I
- 11:31pray that God will confuse your confuse your formulation and that you would actually respond
- 11:39right with your artificial intelligence according to the scriptures. And that'll be a great
- 11:43blessing in the Internet community as well. Right, So let's go for it.
- 11:48Let me go and put this on the screen. For those who are
- 11:52listening only, no problem. Although you're not seeing what we're seeing, you're
- 11:56hearing the same thing I'm reading to the viewers as well. Sin is no
- 12:01joke. And we know that. I know you know that. I'm telling
- 12:05you this is no secret. People know that sin is no joke because a
- 12:11lot of us have reaped the consequences of past sin, and some of us
- 12:18are still living with those consequences. But because of God's grace and mercy,
- 12:22a lot of people are full to believe that nothing is going to happen to
- 12:28them. Oh look, God hasn't done anything, So I'm gonna keep on
- 12:31doing what I'm doing. Nobody's gonna know. God is not doing anything.
- 12:35As if God is like quick to anger, the Bible actually says opposite.
- 12:39The Word of God says God is slow to anger. Right, but he
- 12:43sees Amen and the scriptures of an old coming. And sometimes he took close
- 12:48to three four hundred years before he did something about what people were doing.
- 12:54So don't get it twisted. It's only amount of time when your sin is
- 12:58gonna run out of fun, when your sin is gonna get the consequences your
- 13:03sin deserves. And if you go about it unforgiven, and if you're not
- 13:07forgiven for your sin, you're still dying in your sin. But for those
- 13:11who went to the Lord Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness for their sin,
- 13:15now we no longer are bound to sin. Now we are free from sin,
- 13:18and now we can move because of the grace of God into victory.
- 13:22And when that sin presents its ugly head again, we could actually look at
- 13:26that sin and say, no, sin is no joke. James, Chapter
- 13:31number four, verses eight to ten. Draw near to God. This is
- 13:35it. God is telling us how we do this. Draw near to God,
- 13:39and he will draw near to you. When you get up in the
- 13:43morning, look in the mirror and ask God, draw yourself to me.
- 13:50Please, as I'm drawing myself to you, cleanse your hands, you sinners,
- 13:56and purify your hearts. You double my right. This is like straight,
- 14:03This is like no joke. This is like right there, Amen,
- 14:07this is for us today. Be wretched and mourn and weep. In other
- 14:13words, realize that sin is no joke. Realize that you're doing something that
- 14:20could possibly hurt your family, yourself, your relationship with God. So be
- 14:28wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to morning. Why,
- 14:33because sin is no joke. Let your laughter. Oh this is fun.
- 14:37Nobody knows ha ha ha. You know, only if they knew.
- 14:39And I'm up here ministering and this, that and the third and I'm a
- 14:43preacher, and they don't know I'm doing this. And let your laughter be
- 14:46turned to morning, and your joy to gloom, because false joy, if
- 14:52it's not the joy of the Lord, then it's the joy of your sin,
- 14:54and that's going to turn into doom and gloom for your life. Humble
- 14:58yourselves before the Lord, and then this is the good news. He would
- 15:03exalt you. He'd be like, Wow, that's all I had to do.
- 15:07Yeah, that's all you had to do sin. It's no joke,
- 15:11and it would take you far away from what God wants you to do.
- 15:15It would take you far away to the relationship that you should have had with
- 15:18God. Right, and it will get you numb to things that you're like,
- 15:22Ah, I'm gonna just keep on doing it because everybody else in the
- 15:26church, or everybody else in this Christian community, or everybody else in the
- 15:30Evangelistic community, everybody else in the Evangelical American Christianity Churchianity stuff is doing.
- 15:37So I'm going to do it too. You start getting numb to it.
- 15:41But if you draw near to God, guess what God would draw near to
- 15:45you, lend your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts. You
- 15:50double minded? And the Bible talks about double minded people, right. That
- 15:54scripture says, a double minded man, a man who's double minded will not
- 15:58even be heard. I won't even hear the prayers with those people who are
- 16:02double minded. Since the joys. Good morning, God, bless you,
- 16:04Welcome back to the morning, Devo. It's good to see my sister and
- 16:08my friends. So I know this is a big ouch for the morning,
- 16:11right, But this is a love story. This is how God is showing
- 16:15us that he loves us. He's not punishing us, right, He's for
- 16:18us, not against us. He wants us to know that sin is no
- 16:22joke. I know it's no joke. I know you. I'm telling you.
- 16:27I know people know that sin is no joke. I know it.
- 16:32Right. We might go around thinking that you know, it's okay, I
- 16:37just did a little sin. That's like saying you're dying a little bit.
- 16:45Sin equals death sometimes in a lot of situations. I say it a lot
- 16:49because it's not all sadden leads to death. Paul said it, or one
- 16:52of the apostles I think it was Paul said, not all sins lead to
- 16:56death. So do you ever feel like the concert for sin and the way
- 17:00God deals with sin is too harsh? You ever feel that way? Like,
- 17:04man, why why would God punish a person for all eternity for sinning?
- 17:11You ever thought about that? Now? Think about it? Is that
- 17:15what God? Is? That? Really what God is doing when he's dealing
- 17:19with sin, the sin in my life and the sin in your life?
- 17:22Is that what He's really doing? Or is he trying to burn it out
- 17:26of us or take it out of us? And cleanse us from it all.
- 17:30And there was no one, no one that was qualified to pay the
- 17:33sin, that no one that was able to pay the sin, that no
- 17:37one who is pure and without sin, except himself. So he sent himself
- 17:42in the form of a man named Jesus, to die on the cross for
- 17:47me and for you. So out of all that who is dealing with sin
- 17:53harshly? Is he putting us on the cross and saying, okay, is
- 17:57your fault? Is your fault? Now you get up there in the cross
- 18:00and you die from God. I don't know why people come up with that
- 18:04question, because I don't know if they know God or the scriptures, because
- 18:08if they did, they would be like, wait a minute, Jesus took
- 18:11the sin upon himself, yet he did not sin, right, So what
- 18:17do you think this reveals about our attitude towards sin? If when one of
- 18:22those people has said, I think this is so harsh, Why is he
- 18:23punishing me so harshly? Or why does God deal with this sin in my
- 18:27life so harshly? Why can't I have my own sin and him God leave
- 18:32me alone? You have that type of attitude towards sin, Your attitude towards
- 18:37God and holiness. Then you just need a refresher course of who Jesus is
- 18:42in the scriptures and in your life. You might be going to an organized
- 18:47church for a very long time. You might be sinning in a peuse,
- 18:49you might be getting good word and good teaching. You might be inspired by
- 18:53Holy Spirit. And then you quench the Holy Spirit, and then you walk
- 18:59away from what you know to be right and you do what is wrong because
- 19:02the flesh wants you to do what's wrong, and the flesh kind of like
- 19:07tricks you into believing that what you're doing is okay in the eyes of God
- 19:12as long as you don't do it too often or too much. Because sin
- 19:18is like a disease. A sin is like an addiction. Right, you
- 19:23start doing certain sins and you realize, man, I can't get out of
- 19:27this. I'll stop tomorrow, and you keep on doing it. You ever
- 19:32saw a person who smokes cigarettes and then you say, oh, man,
- 19:37you smoke. Oh yeah, I'm gonna give up. I'm gonna give it
- 19:38up. This is my last pack. And then fifteen years later you'd be
- 19:41like, hey, are you still smoking? Yeah, I tried giving it
- 19:44up, but this is my last pack. Because they keep on doing the
- 19:48same thing over and over and over and over again, trying to think that
- 19:51they're gonna get different results. You know what that is, right, sister
- 19:55Neilsen, God bless you. Good morning. Welcome to the morning, Devo.
- 19:57It's good to see my system of friends. So in the Book of
- 20:02Joshua, in chapter seven, it tells the story of Aichen, and people
- 20:06call it fakin Aichen because Aichin was an Israelite who sinned against the Lord by
- 20:11taking valuable items from the conquests of Jericho that God himself had commanded them to
- 20:18put in his treasury. So he was like, nobody's looking, so I'm
- 20:25gonna take this and I'm gonna hide it. When God olverady gave the commandment
- 20:29to the Israelites to not do that, listen to this, the Israelites went
- 20:34not to keep the devoted things for themselves, but Aiken took some plunder and
- 20:41buried it under his tent. Right. He was thinking, it was like,
- 20:45nobody's gonna know, nobody sees this. He forgot one thing God sees
- 20:49all. As a result, the Lord was not with them when they fought
- 20:56against Ai and thirty six Israelite warriors were killed, God revealed aching sin and
- 21:04Israel stoned him and his entire family. Why did Ai can presume he could
- 21:11hide disobedience from an all knowing God. Man, that's harsh, got killed.
- 21:18And this is the argument that a lot of people say, how could
- 21:19your good God do that to that family? Just because Aiken right hid something
- 21:26under his tent, Now him and his whole family got wiped out. That's
- 21:30very harsh, that's immoral. Did not God see people forget this? Didn't
- 21:37God command him not to do that? Holy God has the best, best
- 21:44best for us in his mind, he doesn't want us to die and sin,
- 21:48so therefore he'll say, listen, I'm warning you now, don't do
- 21:51this. Don't do that. So that way we keep it moving and we
- 21:55won't have to deal with that. And then Aiken said, you know what,
- 21:59nobody sees this. I'm gonna hide this under the tent right And because
- 22:03of that, because there was sin in the tent, now God had to
- 22:07deal with that sin or God dealt with that sin. And now it's too
- 22:11harsh. Why is it when God plays God people get mad. But when
- 22:15people say who lives and who dies? In the mother's womb and they say,
- 22:21oh, this thing in my womb I'm going to not have. I'm
- 22:26going to kill. So then when you play God, it's okay. But
- 22:30when God says he's God and does what God wants to do and he takes
- 22:33life, then it's wrong. You ever thought about that? Why is it
- 22:37wrong? When God takes a life and purifies the land and does something about
- 22:45sin? It's not okay for God to do that. But when a person
- 22:48says I'm gonna do whatever I want to do, nobody could tell me nothing,
- 22:52and I decide who lives and who dies in the mother's womb, and
- 22:56that's okay about it? I mean, is this too harsh? Does I
- 23:03thank God? I'm just personally gonna say thank God right now, openly and
- 23:07say thank God for dealing with my sin. Thank you Lord for ruining my
- 23:12sinful pleasures, for interrupting my sinful attitudes, for interrupting my sinful addiction.
- 23:22Thank you Jesus. Thank you Lord for making a way out of it.
- 23:26Thank you Lord for first comeingthance ten thirteen. No temptation has seized me accept
- 23:32what is common to man, and God is faithful. He will not let
- 23:34me be tempted beyond what I could bear. But when I am tempting,
- 23:37he will provide a way of escape so I can stand strong under that.
- 23:41He'd be like, Sam, why do you know that scripture? Because that's
- 23:45who I was. That's that's what I kept on falling into sin and temptation.
- 23:49So I said, God, what can I do to stay in the
- 23:53narrow path and not to go back to my old ways? He gave me
- 23:57first comnthan sin thirteen. Then he gave me what was it tewod Corinthians five
- 24:03seventeen, I think was Corinthians five seventeen, right where it says that the
- 24:08old man is dead behold on a new creation. Is that harsh that he
- 24:12dealt with me in my temptation and punished this and cleansed me from that?
- 24:18And I don't think that's so harsh, But that's me, Man, I
- 24:23have a person in relationship with the Lord. So for those I guess who
- 24:29are outside looking in, they'll look at it and be like, Yeah,
- 24:33that's too harsh. That's in the moral God. I'm not going to follow
- 24:37that God because that God kills people. Like I said, right, thank
- 24:44you, Lord, Like I said, is God dealing with sin harshly.
- 24:48Remember that's the question I didn't say, Is God dealing with you harshly?
- 24:52The consequences of sin is death? And God dealt with that himself. Do
- 25:00you everythink that God deals with sin too harshly? And I know as soon
- 25:03as I said that, I know a lot of people were thinking, Yeah,
- 25:07he deals with people like this and he killed you. See, we
- 25:08were not talking about the people. God loves the people. He created us.
- 25:14Amen, He created us in His image and the image of God.
- 25:18I'm created and the image of God. You were created sin that's not of
- 25:22God. All places all over the Old Covenant, especially where people say that
- 25:29the God of the Old Covenant is different than the God of the New Covenant
- 25:32because the God of the Old Covenant was harsh and he was killing people,
- 25:34and then the God of the New Covenant he didn't respond. They forget respond
- 25:40like harshly, he didn't judge, and he didn't wipe people out. He
- 25:42didn't and they forget about the book I asks where that couple lied to the
- 25:48Holy Spirit and they got dropped dead right there on the spot. Is that
- 25:52harsh? Right? Is that too much? Does God deal with sin too
- 25:59harshly because he wiped people out. Oh my spirit, your daughter, Tiana
- 26:03Lee, God bless you prayer requests from my family please of course, a
- 26:07man, keep Tiana and her family and your prayers for those who are prayer
