- 0:01That was a fun countdown. Brought up a bump bound banger
- 0:04management fantasy hockey podcast.
- 0:10I changed up the melody. I tried to follow your rhythm.
- 0:13Yeah, I, I changed it up a bit. It changed it.
- 0:15I'm gonna wash this off. Doing his solo tour today, so
- 0:22our lead vocalist has. He's pulling a John Lennon on
- 0:25us. Yeah, he is.
- 0:27He is without the persuasion of Yoko Ono.
- 0:32He just left. OK, he's back.
- 0:35He'll be back next episode, but still.
- 0:37Let's give a yeah. Do we see why he's not here?
- 0:41Yes, Sir. Do you want to say should I say
- 0:43it? Do you wanna say?
- 0:45It Josh is currently collaborating with the five
- 0:49Whole Fantasy Podcast guys on their weekly Saturday live
- 0:53stream for your sit start questions.
- 0:55So pretty cool collab if you ask me.
- 0:58Hopefully we get a lot more collabs in the future.
- 1:00But and that's why we are a duo today and not a trio, but it's
- 1:05the best duo. So listen.
- 1:07Yeah. And I don't always say that when
- 1:09it's being somebody else. I've been at the receiving end
- 1:15of that and it's pretty brutal out there, I guess.
- 1:19I guess you're the burger and then Josh and I are the fries
- 1:22and drink. I just don't know who's who.
- 1:24At Burger Fries, Yeah, you're the burger.
- 1:26I always look forward to eating the fries.
- 1:29OK, OK, let's get an incoherent now this.
- 1:34Oh no. Anyway.
- 1:36Song big time lollygag session over there.
- 1:40OK, welcome in to Bangor management, the fantasy hockey
- 1:42podcast with your esteemed burger fry host Jake and Kevin.
- 1:47No, today is our yeah, no dosh. Today is our week 8 streaming
- 1:52waiver waiver streaming streamers episode.
- 1:54Exactly. This is basically the episode
- 1:56where we tell you who's going to have a good week ahead and also
- 1:59some guys to pick up off waivers who have long term who
- 2:03potential. What the hell potential?
- 2:06Potential. I'm talking about potential baby
- 2:10banging potential. You forgot how to English there

- 3:17it's at. Definitely join the Discord
- 3:19community as well. So we are going to start off
- 3:24with our week 7 choices. OK so first of all we
- 3:30recommended my pride and joy the one the only best centre on
- 3:37Columbus, Adam Fantilli. I had to fight tooth and nail to
- 3:41make y'all see the light on Adam Chantilly.
- 3:43And thank you for for. Coming on the you did not have
- 3:46to fight to the nil. That's quite like tooth like
- 3:50maybe no no, no, but I I just saw the skill was there and now
- 3:55he's playing with Voronkov Marchenko, the power play one.
- 3:58This is a high scoring team, love it.
- 4:00Roster him if you still like on your waiver somehow because.
- 4:03There's a lot of potential this year.
- 4:04We highlighted him as a potential league winning pick
- 4:06up. Like earlier in the season it
- 4:08was Neil Carlson. Now you get another opportunity
- 4:10with Adam Fantilli. Not saying he's gonna do what
- 4:12Leo Carlson, Leo Carlson's been doing the whole year, but he's
- 4:15going to be elite for your fantasy team in the Discord.
- 4:17I've just been like having people out and who to drop
- 4:20random Chantilly in. The fact that he's available and
- 4:22still so many leagues is just wild.
- 4:24So it's on your waivers currently.
- 4:26See if you could go pick him up. That 2023 draft man, the top
- 4:31three picks, Connor Bedard, Leo Carlson, Adam Fan till little
- 4:33while Will Smith and #4 is not about nothing like golf at.
- 4:37Yeah, yeah, seriously. That was a crazy, crazy top
- 4:41three, though. All right, next we have William
- 4:43Ecklund of the San Jose Sharks. He had played three games.
- 4:47He got 2 assists, 2 points. And just for good measure for
- 4:49Fantilli, he had four games in Week 7.
- 4:52Three goals, one assist, 4 points.
- 4:54Great pickups all around. Yeah, two wins there.
- 4:58And then we have Andre Burakovsky, three games played,
- 5:01one assist, one point, but he was injured, so he can't really
- 5:04fault us there. Nevertheless, it's an L.
- 5:06We got to be fair about this. Our record on the Was it a good
- 5:09pickup scale for the season is 11 and 4.
- 5:13Not bad, not bad. Pretty good.
- 5:16Yes, two game teams this coming up week 8 are Edmonton and
- 5:21Seattle. So there's quite a few 4 game
- 5:25teams, so we don't really need to get into that.
- 5:28We're going to talk about the top players with those and the
- 5:32off nights that's Dallas Stars, Auto Senators, Washington
- 5:36Capitals. Pretty excited about what the
- 5:37Capitals are doing, but more on that in our bylaws.
- 5:40Hell, high episode coming up, we're going to be dropping
- 5:43tomorrow. All right, let us begin with.
- 5:48#10. Nice, that was good, that was.
- 5:52Like I'm nothing if not incredible.
- 5:53Actually, that was elite. But we need we need to just give
- 5:56a short profile Che preface, preface, preface one of those
- 6:01three. We're going to cover 10 guys
- 6:03here that are really good for your points.
- 6:06Some of them contributed in bangers as well.
- 6:07We're always talking about bangers on Bangor management,
- 6:11but these guys are gonna get points exposure will cover more
- 6:14banger heavy guys in the top five after and then your goalies
- 6:17after so stay tuned. A lot of good stuff coming, but
- 6:20for number 10 we got. I closed the window for a
- 6:26moment. Sorry, Kyle.
- 6:27Paul Berry. I was Islanders.
- 6:31I was so enthralled with the preface.
- 6:34He was looking at the history of the word phase.
- 6:36He was like, what does it mean? But yes, Kyle Palmieri lying 2
- 6:42power play one on the New York Islanders a regular three games
- 6:46this week, but he's been a stud all year.
- 6:48Yeah, he's hits points. Yeah, well the thing with Paul
- 6:52Mary is like we list them as line two people one, but he's
- 6:54playing with Bohor Vet who is the main centerpiece of this New
- 6:59York Islanders team. So it's pretty much lined one
- 7:01people you want. It just depends how the team is
- 7:03quote UN quote like listing them.
- 7:04But he's lined 1P1, he'll get you 0.75 points per game.
- 7:08He'll get you 3 shots a game and point to power play points and
- 7:12honestly, the fight of the guys on waivers and you're able to
- 7:13stream on a weekly basis is already just very valuable.
- 7:17In your deep leaks, he's one of the guys that you pick up and
- 7:21you like. You hold the whole season
- 7:22because he's at the end of your roster and he just contributes
- 7:25on a weekly basis. In your shower shallower
- 7:28leagues, though, he's the type of guy that bounces on and off
- 7:30waivers, and this is one of those weeks that if you need a
- 7:32guy like this, he's a great option.
- 7:35Yeah yeah pick pick him up while he's been hot he he's gonna it's
- 7:39gonna be inconsistent. The Islanders have actually been
- 7:41pretty decent on offence as of late.
- 7:43We have a good sample size in his career to know that he's
- 7:46more of like a 55 point guy. He's outpacing that right now.
- 7:49He's on pace for 62 on the year are hot being said.
- 7:52Yeah, they are. They are.
- 7:53I mean, look, I add Schaefer as myself high and not long ago
- 7:56it's looking like he's kind of here to stay.
- 7:58Rookie defenseman still going to be inconsistent as is the killer
- 8:01team because this is not an offensive wagon.
- 8:03But definitely as they're Bo Horvat's been on fire.
- 8:08Paul Marys Stapleton on line 1-2 whatever the Hornet line and
- 8:13power play 1. So yeah, he's a great pickup
- 8:15this week. Next we have a guy with four
- 8:18games and two off nights, Tyler Sagan of Dallas Stars.
- 8:23You didn't even let me do the number 9.
- 8:27So sorry, I'm so sorry. You think you have friends, you
- 8:30think you have friends and then something happens and then they
- 8:34betray you on your podcast. Honestly, I will report on fire.
- 8:40They've been no, I'm I'm OK. That was the only one we're
- 8:42skipping. So Tyler saying yeah, at #9 line
- 8:472, power play 2 of the Dallas Stars, the offensive best
- 8:50offence there's that's ever offence.
- 8:53Yeah, since coming back from injury, I feel like he started a
- 8:55little bit slow. Last two weeks he's at .86
- 8:58points per game. He's on line $200 team.
- 9:00That's like clicking on all cylinders right now.
- 9:03What to know with the second though?
- 9:04It's not gonna get you the most category coverage.
- 9:06Maybe we see updates in the future as like you know, he
- 9:09progresses further along from his injury, but right now you're
- 9:12getting him for points. The power play exposure PB2 on
- 9:16Dallas is still not the worst. They have an incredible first
- 9:19unit, but people do can get it done as well.
- 9:21That's why he's #9 on the list. 4 games on off nights, almost a
- 9:26point per game. Over the last two weeks he
- 9:28shoots only about one shot a game 1.5, so it's not anything
- 9:32to write home about. But really this is like a point
- 9:33stream. Yeah, and you know, it's kind of
- 9:38interesting because we think of Dallas as like an absolutely
- 9:40offensive insane team. We're which really that they
- 9:43are. But right now they're like
- 9:46they're like in like kind of like in 10th, 11th place for
- 9:50goals for that's going to fluctuate by the time you hear
- 9:52this recording. So it's going to be around
- 9:54there. They should be top three angles,
- 9:564 per game rest of season. So I would say that any player
- 10:01on this team can get you that offensive potential.
- 10:04And what the schedule this week. I really really like Saga to
- 10:06pick up. They're absolutely.
- 10:09Alright, next we have. Oh, I was watching you.
- 10:13I'm not forgetting again. #8. OK of the Boston Bruins clue, he
- 10:23has the same last name as a guy. Another guy on the same team.
- 10:27We have not Elias, but Hampus Lindholm of the Boston Bruins.
- 10:32As mentioned, line 2 power play one with Macavoy out.
- 10:36The Bruins have been quite the surprise this year.
- 10:39I thought they were going to be a dollar sign, dollar sign like
- 10:42they were last year. But it doesn't really doesn't
- 10:46really look like they're going to be a bottom of the standings
- 10:48team anymore. That being said, it's kind of a
- 10:51it's going to be up and down. And I mean, there are first
- 10:54place in the Atlantic right now, which is pretty wild.
- 10:57I still think it's up for debate.
- 10:58Like if you pull up Boston's lineup and you look at it,
- 11:02you're like, how is this team in the NHL realistically?
- 11:05Like it's they got three players and and that's it.
- 11:07It's it's pasta, It's geeky. And then if you want to throw
- 11:10McAvoy in there, you can throw McAvoy in there.
- 11:12But then it's just like a bunch of scrubs.
- 11:14And I don't want to do anybody dirty.
- 11:15But this Boston team being first in Indian Atlantic right now is
- 11:19to me, they're finishing out of a playoff spot.
- 11:22So I if I bought some player, I'm trying to get them off my
- 11:25roster if possible or if they're not a stud, which I don't know
- 11:29how many there are, but Hampus Lindholm being P1 without McAvoy
- 11:33there brings value to your fantasy team.
- 11:35And it's always nice when we can recommend a defensive streamer
- 11:37because right now happens at home as we speak is only 9%
- 11:39owned. That already goes to show that
- 11:41not everybody is rushing to the waiver wire to pick him up after
- 11:43the McAvoy injury, but we're seeing the power play actually
- 11:46pretty like click a little bit since he's been out over the
- 11:49last two weeks. Pampus has 0.43 power play
- 11:53points, 0.7 points, so most of his points coming from the power
- 11:58play, but that's not a bad thing.
- 11:59Boston has one of the best power players this year.
- 12:01Does that stay consistent throughout the whole year?
- 12:03Probably not, but right now it's clicking and you want to take
- 12:06advantage of that. If you have a defensive spot
- 12:08open and you want some power play production, I think he's
- 12:10one of the best games out there on this On this week, he only
- 12:12has three games, but it'll still be a really solid three games.
- 12:17For sure if yeah, I mean, as long as you got the power play 1
- 12:20like you said. And one other thing to mention
- 12:22is that he did have one season where he got 53 points in 80
- 12:26games like nothing elite. This is not an amazing player.
- 12:29And when he has no power play one, there's zero value for
- 12:32fantasy. But given the fact that he does
- 12:34have it now, you could expect, you know, .6 points per game.
- 12:38Wally has that and minimal back cats, but still worth it because
- 12:41the points should be somewhat reliable.
- 12:44Yeah, even with the Bruins kind of declining.
- 12:46So we'll see what happens. I don't mind it as a stream.
- 12:50That's right. Next we have. #7.
- 12:55Darren Turnip. Sorry, Darren Radish, good one.
- 13:01Alright. Tampa Bay Lightning Line 2,
- 13:05Power play 1. The Bolts play four games this
- 13:08upcoming week and they are an offence that's been a bit of a
- 13:13question mark all season long. Brayden Point has also been $8
- 13:17on dollar sign. I I don't know if we could say
- 13:20which I may believe, but that's the idea there.
- 13:23I think you can say it. I won't say it again, but you
- 13:26can say. That right there there have been
- 13:27a synonym for donkey offensively compared to what we think
- 13:31they're going. But yeah, I mean, look, they
- 13:36have in 20 games this season, they have 61 goals and 23 the
- 13:41Bruins of 74. Like this is something we expect
- 13:43to reverse, right? And less goals than the Maple
- 13:47Leafs. Like they're just
- 13:48underperforming offensively right now.
- 13:50And even though they're winning, they're winning by small
- 13:53margins. So when they take up the guy,
- 13:56the defenseman on that team who's going to be power play 1
- 13:59is going to improve as well. And I think Radish is kind of, I
- 14:03mean, look, this is not someone you're super have super strong
- 14:06conviction about as a player, but you have conviction about
- 14:10the team, the power play. And he's poised for success
- 14:12there this week. I think you can already see
- 14:16that. No darn radishes, the type of
- 14:19guy that first of all, in years past has already given Victor
- 14:22had been a headache because we've seen had been bumped off
- 14:23P1 in the past and for some reason they wanna put Darren
- 14:27Radish there when they're in rage is not playing P1.
- 14:29He's averaging like 8 minutes a night and is a scratch every
- 14:32other game. But what had been out, they
- 14:35wanted him on the power play and that completely boosts his
- 14:38minutes. Like since Hedman has been out,
- 14:39he's been averaging over 20 minutes a night, which is wild.
- 14:43I feel like all his production has come in the last three
- 14:45games, but we're already seeing that he can actually contribute
- 14:48on this team. When he's playing big minutes,
- 14:50he's shooting more. He'll get you some blocks.
- 14:52It's nothing fancy, but as long as Victor Hedman is out and is
- 14:55supposed to be missing multiple weeks, so this could be a
- 14:57multiple week stream as well for the headman owner.
- 15:00I just pick up Radish and then calls until Hedman is back and
- 15:03just make the swap when they're healthy.
- 15:05But Radish right now, he's actually pretty valuable for
- 15:07fantasy. He's exposed to one of the best
- 15:09power plays, even though they haven't necessarily been
- 15:11clicking on all cylinders the whole season yet.
- 15:14But he's the type of the same type of player.
- 15:16That's somebody that's not on this list, Axel sending Palika,
- 15:20who, you know, got some people want exposure on Detroit.
- 15:22And everybody's like, oh, do I pick him up?
- 15:23Like did he bump Slider off completely?
- 15:26I'd rather have Darren radish because even though I know he's
- 15:29getting bumped off when Hedman is out when headman his back,
- 15:32sorry, I still think those weeks are gonna be valuable.
- 15:35Whereas Pelinka doesn't have, you know, the category coverage
- 15:39and also he's not super contributing on the power play
- 15:41when he's there as well. So just if people were curious
- 15:44where we stand on that Link is not going to make this list at
- 15:46all. But radish I think really
- 15:48deserves to be here. He's got four games as well.
- 15:51I think it's a great stream and it could be a whole until
- 15:53Headman is back. Yeah, I really like what you
- 15:56said there, especially the fact that he turns them from Victor
- 15:59Hedman into Victor Headache when?
- 16:01Yeah, when he randomly. Takes was had been bumped off
- 16:04again. Who was there?
- 16:05Literally why? Literally it's it's it's rough
- 16:08out here, but the main idea is that you have the opportunity to
- 16:12pick him up. He's not super high owned.
- 16:15And yeah, I mean four games that the volume is going to be there
- 16:18on a power play that should be quite good this upcoming week.
- 16:22OK, next. Number six.
- 16:28When a player's name is spelt like this, I'm never sure how to
- 16:31pronounce it, even though he is one of the guys on this list
- 16:34that's on my team and I love him and the last name.
- 16:37No issues there. But I don't know if we say RTM
- 16:40or Artem left Shanov. Where do you stand on that?
- 16:43I say Artem, but whatever. Whatever Arden wants are, Jim
- 16:47wants what? So the solution here is that
- 16:51Artem RTO has got to listen to this and tell us how to best
- 16:55pronounce his name. Yes.
- 16:57Little side tangent there, remember when UPL was in a thing
- 17:01and like an interview post game and it was like actually the way
- 17:04to pronounce my name is whoa wow that was melodic.
- 17:09I've never seen a name for. Nelson More rhythm in my life.
- 17:12Seriously, seriously, it was a brilliant musical stuff over
- 17:16there. Anywho, at number six, we have
- 17:18Artem left Shanov of the Chicago Blackhawks regular three games
- 17:22this week, No off nights. That being said, Connor Bedard,
- 17:26Oh my goodness, what a player. And if this is this is another
- 17:31guy that I had extremely strong conviction of extreme, OK,
- 17:35decently strong conviction of that was a bit of an
- 17:37exaggeration because he was drafted second overall last year
- 17:41by the Chicago Blackhawks and they don't really have any elite
- 17:45offensive potential coming up from like their decor.
- 17:49We were kinda high on Rinzel just because of the concept of
- 17:52him being power play 1. Then he lost it and now love
- 17:55Shanov. I mean, look, this is a team
- 17:57that that is not necessarily making a deep push this year.
- 18:02Best they'll be a fringe playoff team.
- 18:04And if they do have success, which again, like I'm not saying
- 18:09that there will be a friends playoff team, but they're not
- 18:10going to like be tanking like they were last year like
- 18:13they're. Trying.
- 18:14No. They wanna win.
- 18:15Yeah, exactly. Absolutely, so they're gonna
- 18:17like alongside that it's really important to get their their
- 18:21young future superstars going and love Shannon is gonna keep
- 18:25that power play deployment for the foreseeable future because
- 18:28he's producing there and they want to get him going.
- 18:30Those two things going for him. I really like him being there.
- 18:33The back hats not really existence, but the points points
- 18:37have been really, really nice and I've really enjoyed morning
- 18:40him as as I have, so I think that he could be a good stream
- 18:43for this week and beyond. Yeah, I think the main thing
- 18:46would love Chanov is the power play deployment, right?
- 18:48Like, we didn't hate him as a player.
- 18:50We hated his deployment. And it's good to be at least
- 18:54have these guys on your radar early on in the season knowing
- 18:57where the opportunity is for the guy that's currently on P1 to
- 19:00get dethroned. And Lebanon was like the classic
- 19:02candidate for that. Rinzel got bumped off, Leshnock
- 19:05came on, and he's been doing really well ever since.
- 19:08You want exposure to this Chicago Blackhawks power play
- 19:10right now because it feels like everybody that's on it is going
- 19:14off. Like we're seeing Bertuzzi miss
- 19:16games, come back, score, score multiple goals.
- 19:19It's actually pretty crazy. But that's raising the tide for
- 19:21everybody on this team right now.
- 19:23It's really special to watch. Left.
- 19:24Shanov is probably on the fence. Bin.
- 19:26We just talked about how it's difficult to stream points from
- 19:30the defenseman position and that's why usually this list
- 19:32encompasses mostly multi forwards, right?
- 19:35But we just named 3 defensemen in a row in home radish and left
- 19:37Shanov that are options for this upcoming week, which is really
- 19:40cool. His like Jake said, his category
- 19:42coverage is not anything special.
- 19:43You'll get slightly above one shots, hits and blocks, which
- 19:47listen, it's not nothing, but that's not why you're rounding
- 19:49him. He's the power play is going off
- 19:51right now. 2/3 of his points are from the power play, which is
- 19:54nuts. You write it while it's hot.
- 19:56He's a great option this week and then as long as long as
- 19:59they're clicking, you want him on your team.
- 20:00That's pretty much how I look at the situation.
- 20:03Yeah, like we are, we are all higher on Schaefer than love
- 20:06Shanov like. For sure, it's not like they're
- 20:08Schaefer is no different stratosphere.
- 20:10Totally agree, but Schafer's 93% owned Lev Shanov is 29% owned.
- 20:18And what's kind of important to mention is that over the last
- 20:22month left Shanov has average .64 points per game and
- 20:26Schafer's average .53 points per game.
- 20:28Yes the back cats are better. Significantly like over double
- 20:32the shots for Schaefer, but Levchin always got better power
- 20:35play points. And the big one here is that
- 20:38rookie defenseman, young defenseman in the NHL, the
- 20:41inconsistencies are gonna be there.
- 20:43And the points for Legion of are all assists.
- 20:46He has not scored a single goal all season.
- 20:48So as far as the consistent metric goes, like you could say
- 20:53that he's going to have good weeks and bad weeks.
- 20:55I mean that's just the nature of it.
- 20:56But I'm looking at them points wise in a similar place, even
- 21:02though back that's by far Shafer way better.
- 21:04Nobody considers them in the same stratosphere.
- 21:06I'm just giving you like two young defensemen on up and
- 21:09coming teams that are 1 is thought about as like the next
- 21:12big thing and the other ones like OK.
- 21:14Cool, right yeah it's good to look at the numbers and see how
- 21:18far they are in terms of a gap from each other in value because
- 21:22if you're looking at the name value, it's completely one sided
- 21:25right exactly. I do think that the way this
- 21:28power play is converting for Chicago is not super
- 21:31sustainable, whereas Shapers production is going to be
- 21:33consistently at this level because you know, electronic has
- 21:37.65 points per game over the last month and .5 of those are
- 21:41on the power play. So like it's just you know, it's
- 21:43not something that you can consistently have throughout the
- 21:45whole season. If that goes down to like a
- 21:47point 2.25, like you'll see him average less than less than half
- 21:50a point per game. But right now it's hot.
- 21:52You write it while it's hot and obviously much rather have
- 21:56Matthew Shaffer because you know it's gonna be consistent, but
- 21:59it's just. I just wanted.
- 22:00To like in a small window of time, how similar players can be
- 22:03even when there's 90% loss versus 30% rostered.
- 22:06Exactly. And that's what this transaction
- 22:08is really for us this coming week.
- 22:09And then you know whatever like whole like no reason to drop him
- 22:12if he's still performing well. So that's kind of where I'm at
- 22:14with this. OK, let's move on to. #5.
- 22:19We have of the Minnesota Wild's Mats Zuccarello.
- 22:25I was Captain Norway over there. Yeah, yes, Captain Norway is
- 22:28well said. He's been on a tear recently.
- 22:30Like if you open his game log like he's been clicking on all
- 22:33cylinders. He's even been hitting to.
- 22:35He could easily be higher on this list.
- 22:37I still think the guys ahead of him are worth picking up more,
- 22:40But would I be shocked if he gets the most points in this
- 22:42upcoming week? I would not.
- 22:44He's playing line 1P1 with Kaprizov.
- 22:47I I think, you know, we've seen them have chemistry in the past.
- 22:51Bully has had that spot in the past as well.
- 22:53But the initial the initial duo was Kaprizov and then
- 22:56Zuccarello. So Minnesota is a team that have
- 23:00been fluctuating a lot this season.
- 23:03His value goes up and down. But Zuccarello, since playing
- 23:06with Caprice, has been very successful.
- 23:07I am really interested in streaming him this upcoming
- 23:10week. I think he'll do very well for
- 23:12your fantasy teams. Yeah, yeah.
- 23:14And OK, this is about to be a joke, so please don't get mad,
- 23:18Daniel, you're off. What a guy.
- 23:22I'm telling you. I'm telling you that.
- 23:24That Russian? Communists win over with anybody
- 23:26playing between the A line with Zuccarello and Kaprizov is gonna
- 23:30be noteworthy for fantasy. Am I rushing to pick up?
- 23:32You're probably not, but while he's there, it's.
- 23:36Interesting. Yeah.
- 23:37And then you know what I'm telling you?
- 23:40I'm telling you that that was a maybe a bit too ahead of the
- 23:42curve. I'm just saying also with one
- 23:45thing with Zuccarello is that since he's gone back from
- 23:47injury, they've won, at the time of this recording, five games
- 23:50and lost one, the Minnesota Wild.
- 23:52That's partially because Walstead has been an absolute
- 23:56monster and Gustafson has actually been decent, too when
- 23:59he's playing. But yeah, I mean, this Minnesota
- 24:02Wild team has had like a pretty roller coaster year.
- 24:06The one thing that you can expect is that when Zuccarello
- 24:09is there, he's going to put up the points like he's always been
- 24:12a .8 to one point per game kind of player.
- 24:15He's been a player, game player now, like ever since coming back
- 24:18from injury, he's been a point per game.
- 24:19He's not getting you the shots or like many hits or many
- 24:22blocks, but .3 power play points or point per game, like that's
- 24:26incredible production. You can just stream off waivers.
- 24:29Exactly. Like he's good in his own right,
- 24:31playing with one of the best players in the world.
- 24:32So the recipes there and he will succeed.
- 24:35OK, Alright. Yeah, we have. #4.
- 24:42I was like, I was like, is that a transition or is it not a
- 24:44transition? OK, alright, we have OHK.
- 24:50OK, best first name in the game of the Vancouver Canucks.
- 24:56Jake Debrusk, Line 3, Power play 1.
- 25:00He can get you 1000 billion shots in one game and that alone
- 25:05can almost put you over the edge.
- 25:07But thousand billion is a lot. Yeah, maybe, maybe a billion
- 25:10thousand, but like seriously, he has these games where he just
- 25:15puts up insane seeing shots on goal and sometimes they go in
- 25:18really, but sometimes they do. And yeah, his points have been
- 25:23really, really good as of late. Over his last seven games, he's
- 25:26got 6 points scoring in six of the seven of them.
- 25:30So it's not like it all came from one game.
- 25:32And he's on a three-game power play points streak, so we like
- 25:37the process there and it's looking pretty good for a guy
- 25:40that's only 26% owned. Over the last nine games he has
- 25:456 power play goals like 2 is just nuts.
- 25:50They he has one assist over the last nine games, everything else
- 25:53power play goals. So you're looking at the
- 25:55deployment you're like line 3 and we're recommending him like
- 25:59what's up with that? This P1 for some reason is, is
- 26:03going off for somebody with this level of deployment where he's
- 26:06shooting significantly like he's look at the shots over the last
- 26:10month, three shots over the last month or the last two weeks,
- 26:122.57. Like that's really crazy numbers
- 26:15for a guy you can just pick up off waivers who is clinical on
- 26:18the power play, who can score goals, which we know are already
- 26:22more valuable in your points leagues and even in your
- 26:24category leagues. Yes, golden assists are are
- 26:28technically weighed the same, but it's way harder to stream of
- 26:31gold than it is to stream and assist.
- 26:32So yeah, a guy like this is pretty valuable.
- 26:35He is currently 26% owned and he's on a tear right now.
- 26:39I could see him potentially being 40% owned next week, but
- 26:43because of everybody streaming him for this power play
- 26:45production. Yeah, totally.
- 26:47He this is this is not a necessarily a good Canucks team,
- 26:52but they've they've been scoring.
- 26:53They've been scoring. Will have Elias Patterson has
- 26:56been awesome and the power play 1 like you said, is clicking.
- 27:00So I think it's a really, really good pickup for this week.
- 27:03I wouldn't be surprised if it's just like a one week hold and
- 27:06then he just falls off. The face?
- 27:07No, no, no, definitely not. Wait, definitely not.
- 27:11He'll fall off the face of the earth or he's like.
- 27:13He's definitely not like a would not be surprised that he's just
- 27:16a one week old. Yeah, exactly.
- 27:18But it's, you know, we we like saying right, all the Todd so.
- 27:22Yeah, I do like writing it while it's hot.
- 27:25Cool. All right, next we have the 2nd
- 27:31in command to the throne of the Alliteration Kings on the Vegas
- 27:35Golden Knights who question mark Braden Bowman.
- 27:39Line one, power play one get out of town.
- 27:44What an opportunity for this guy. #3 it's Braden.
- 27:49Bones and it's really OK, but Bowman is one of those names
- 27:52that people were very interested when we saw him get called up.
- 27:56We saw him put immediately on P1 or like OK, is this this type
- 27:59guy we pick up immediately or do we watch and see what happens if
- 28:02you're in a very deeply look, I'm in a league where everybody
- 28:04that plays in the NHL roster, he's somehow was available
- 28:07because he wasn't in the NHL before I picked him up before
- 28:11even seeing one game in your normal leagues like this is not
- 28:14the type of player you pick up right away.
- 28:16But now it's been a few games and we're seeing he is
- 28:18definitely worth picking up. He's got four games this
- 28:21upcoming week. He's playing line 1P1 with Jack
- 28:24Eichel. The deployment is there.
- 28:26That's already the foundation for a good pickup.
- 28:27He's playing over 16 minutes a night.
- 28:30He's he has two power play points in his first five games.
- 28:33He can shoot like there's just nothing that you hate about this
- 28:37guy for what you're getting. It means 5% on right now, 5%.
- 28:40That's just 55 stars on YouTube, 5%.
- 28:45I I'm really interested in what he can do.
- 28:48Obviously when we when the Mark Stone comes back, his deployment
- 28:51probably gets shifted. He might even get sent down.
- 28:54But right now Marston is not coming back.
- 28:56This week they have four games. He has Line 1P1 playing with the
- 28:59best players on his Vegas team. He's a really interesting
- 29:03pickup. I I would love to have him on my
- 29:05team this upcoming week. Yeah, this, this has like he's a
- 29:10goal scorer. Shouldn't sorry.
- 29:12He's a goal scorer, too. Yeah, and there there is like
- 29:16there's no real necessarily fantasy, you know relation here
- 29:21to to IRL. But when you think about it,
- 29:23given this opportunity after not having been drafted yet, he's
- 29:28playing for something. He wants to keep playing for
- 29:31something. He's not gonna keep the power
- 29:33play one with stone there. But if he's getting, he's has
- 29:37four points and five games in the NHL this year and it looks
- 29:41like could keep that line 1, I wouldn't be surprised if they
- 29:44just shuffle it around and keep them there over Barbashev.
- 29:48I mean, Stone does come back. Barber shop usually plays left
- 29:51wing and then and barbershop wasn't even on P1 before before
- 29:56Bowman got brought up. So the fact that they brought
- 29:59Bowman up, put them on line 1 and then also put them on the
- 30:02power play ahead of ahead of guys that have already been
- 30:04there on the team. It just goes to show that what
- 30:06they see in this player, what they what they, they like the
- 30:09look that he gives them on the power play as well.
- 30:11And he's converting. He's getting opportunity and
- 30:13converting. He's got three goals and one
- 30:14assist in five games. How can you not be interested in
- 30:17a guy like this? No, for sure.
- 30:19It's it's just fantastic. I think it's a great, great
- 30:22stream. Plus the four games, the volume
- 30:24is going to be there. We love it.
- 30:26OK, take it away. #2. Of the Calgary Flames, second
- 30:34player on this list who's on my team?
- 30:36Love to see it. Matt Coronado, 16% owned.
- 30:42He was pretty high up coming into this season and then he
- 30:46kind of fell off the face of the earth because the Flames were
- 30:49awful and they're still not a good team.
- 30:51That being said, he is shooting. Oh my goodness, is the shots on
- 30:57goal. It's 11564433 over that.
- 31:01And what in the heck? Really.
- 31:06Yeah, exactly. The power play points have been
- 31:09amazing .33 over the past week. One point per game.
- 31:12I mean, I am so happy having picked him up and it's really
- 31:18like this. This is a ride at Wallace Hall
- 31:20situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he
- 31:23shoots less than 11. On that next game I don't my
- 31:27house on that issue is less than did you.
- 31:30Wrong. It's 12.
- 31:32No. Yeah, but but I actually like,
- 31:36you know, this is a good player on a bad team situation because
- 31:40he is really like the best offensive player that this team
- 31:45has for the future. Kaji is a better player, no
- 31:47question. But I think like he's him over
- 31:51Huber, Doe, Farabee, Sharon Govich, Zari.
- 31:53Like they're gonna keep giving him the opportunity because
- 31:56they're far from competing this year.
- 31:57I don't expect them to score a lot of goals, but when they do,
- 32:00Key can be involved. Yep, I I mean, listen, when a
- 32:04guys shooting like this, you have to be interested.
- 32:07Even though they don't have four games this week, he could
- 32:10outshoot most guys that have four games, which is just to
- 32:13think about. Calgary is the type of team that
- 32:16you're not really thrilled with the offence, like the offensive
- 32:19capabilities of their team. But there's a lone bright spot
- 32:23bright spot here and it is Coronado.
- 32:24The issue is it's still Calgary and the PowerPoint doesn't
- 32:28always click. It's one of the worst in the
- 32:29league and they don't really score a lot of goals, but
- 32:34doesn't stop them from getting hot here and there.
- 32:36And I think right now they're a little hotter.
- 32:37They're converting on the power play a little bit more and he's
- 32:40the type of guy that is going to be involved in those situations.
- 32:42So on a week like this that you need shots, you need points and
- 32:46you need exposure to the best players on the team.
- 32:48He's the type of guy that you stream.
- 32:50Yeah, they have the second least goals for in the NHL, right?
- 32:54But over the last 10 games, there are 4-5 and one.
- 32:57So it's not as if they're like not doing anything as of late.
- 33:02You said they're they're kind of picking up the pace a little bit
- 33:05there. Dustin Wolf really carried them
- 33:08last year. This is not going to be a team
- 33:09that's close to the playoffs. I think the Pacific is extremely
- 33:13top heavy that the wealth gap, the wage gap or whatever you
- 33:16want to call it there is just ridiculous.
- 33:19So yeah, Flames are gonna be the bottom of the Pacific.
- 33:22But NHL teams do score goals, and when NHL teams score goals,
- 33:26the players on those teams score goals.
- 33:28And Matt Coronado is getting decent minutes and is going to
- 33:31be a big part of it. That's kind of my thesis there.
- 33:34He's got four goals in his last five games.
- 33:36Like a guy like this that's already shooting at this level
- 33:39and that's currently hot. He's interesting, Yeah.
- 33:43You get him on your team. Yes, OK, hat.
- 33:47Number one. This was a coincidence.
- 33:51Yeah, where? Am I Florida Panthers?
- 33:53Are for all those on YouTube you can see what Jake is wearing.
- 33:55Yes, I I have a Florida Panther shirt because they were my
- 33:59squad. An OG Florida Panther shirt.
- 34:02OG it is actually is and. This is the old logo.
- 34:06This logo is so cool with the cat.
- 34:09Like I can't believe they changed it.
- 34:11I don't know why it's actually and even like the colour scheme
- 34:14of the old jerseys. Like look at when Luongo played
- 34:17on Florida the first time. What a stud even with the pads
- 34:20like ah man that that whole setup was just next level.
- 34:24Very very oily Yochanan vibes over here.
- 34:27But anyway, of the Florida Panthers at #1 line one power
- 34:33play 1 Sam Bennett, not very sad under the contract.
- 34:39I was so high on him coming into the season, but he has been, I
- 34:43love saying this word, apparently usurped by Anton
- 34:47Lundell, who has really stepped up big.
- 34:51I think they just need to make sure that a Finnish guy is the
- 34:55top centre on their team and that's just the way they win.
- 34:59So. He's like a mini Barkov right
- 35:02now. Lindell is only 36% owned which
- 35:04is criminal for what he's been doing the entire season.
- 35:08Yes. It's just the the consequences
- 35:11of playing in leagues that only start 2 pure centre positions
- 35:14because I mean you're gonna draft a lot of pure CS that are
- 35:16studs. And Lundell just doesn't have
- 35:17the name value to be like held above like a he sure or
- 35:21whatever. Even though he's been
- 35:22significantly better the entire season.
- 35:23And right now you get to benefit from that because you get to
- 35:25stream him on this upcoming week with line 1P1 production.
- 35:29He's playing all the important minutes for his team.
- 35:32He has been averaging basically a point per game the whole
- 35:35season, like .8 to point per game depends on the week he's
- 35:38shooting. You'll get you close to two
- 35:40shots a game, which is not crazy, but in face off win
- 35:42leagues he'll get you almost double digits.
- 35:44He's also throwing in a hit here and there.
- 35:47The power play is clicking for Florida right now.
- 35:49Like we saw even, you know, Seth Jones, who was a buy low
- 35:51candidate for us in the recent episodes, who's who had two
- 35:55power play goals recently. So just goes to show that you
- 35:58know, Reinhardt, the tide has lifted on him.
- 36:00I feel like the only guy that was producing before was Lundell
- 36:02and Marshawn, and now somebody else started to get involved.
- 36:05Florida started to be better. They're trying to usurp Boston
- 36:08from being the first seed in the in the plastic.
- 36:12No, usurped. Sorry, Usurp.
- 36:17But yeah, I think Lindell is a fantastic candidate that this is
- 36:20the type of player that if you need a pure see, like he's a
- 36:22whole like rest of season, like this deployment is not in
- 36:24question. He's gonna be surrounded by the
- 36:26best talent on this team. As Florida gets better, he will
- 36:29get better. And he's already really good.
- 36:32So fantastic opportunity to pick him up here.
- 36:35Still only 36% owned. Like I said, he's he's a great
- 36:39player. Yeah, like look at these two
- 36:42stat lines. One assist, one PowerPoint .2
- 36:46shots, 14 faceoffs, two hits and a block.
- 36:49Even take the faceoffs out of it.
- 36:50That's elite. But with the faceoffs, that's
- 36:52like, that's like round one vibes, like, you know what I
- 36:57mean? Like that's insane production.
- 36:59And then the next game, one goal, five shots, 16 faceoffs,
- 37:03two hits. Any player that does that at any
- 37:08point in the season has something special about him.
- 37:11In addition to that, he's on what could be still the best
- 37:14team in the NHL. Well, not without Barkov, but
- 37:17regardless, like, you know, they're gonna make a playoff
- 37:19push and he's gonna just be the best centre on this team, which
- 37:22is devastating cuz I was super high on Bennett and have him in
- 37:25my main league. But that's neither here nor
- 37:27there. Lundell is here to stay.
- 37:30I love it for this year and he's just.
- 37:33There's no reason he's under 40% owned.
- 37:36That's absurd. Like you said.
- 37:38So yeah, gets the blood going. OK, let's get into our top five
- 37:46bangers for this coming week in Yeah, he's they're all under 40.
- 37:51Percent as well, all under 40%. These are guys that we're going
- 37:54to be focusing on to get you hits blocks and some Pimms if
- 37:58you're leak has Pimms. So let's fancy names in terms of
- 38:02the points production, but these are the guys that you can pick
- 38:04up that are less than 40% owned that are maybe like classic
- 38:07names that you know of that you've heard of already for
- 38:09bangers leagues, but they're still widely available and worth
- 38:11a look for this upcoming week, yes.
- 38:13OK, let's start off at. #5. Brayden McNabb, 1.5 hits, 3.3
- 38:21blocks. We don't talk about him that
- 38:23much. We don't talk about him that
- 38:25much. He's not a mainstay like the
- 38:26other guys on this list have been, you know?
- 38:29But this is a volume section. When there's volume, there's
- 38:34production for the bangers guys, and his blocks have been insane.
- 38:383.3 blocks is wild. He blocks the most in the league
- 38:41and he's yeah, he blocked the most in the league.
- 38:43Only 23% owned and he'll trip in almost two hits.
- 38:46A game like this is up. A guy that if you know your
- 38:48opponent and your potential matchup is really good at
- 38:50blocks, he's the main pickup for you.
- 38:52He plays four games. Best blocker in the league.
- 38:55Yeah, it's very one-dimensional, but if you're already good at
- 38:57the other categories like this, the type of guy that you stream
- 38:59to flip the one category that you need.
- 39:02Yeah, and his heads could get better than this.
- 39:03They have been better than this so I wouldn't.
- 39:06Be surprised. I wouldn't.
- 39:06I wouldn't rely on it. He's like the 1.6 to 1.8 slash 2
- 39:10type of guy, but that's already very solid for the amount of
- 39:14blocks you're getting. Yeah, exactly.
- 39:16Wow. Yeah, top blocker in the league
- 39:18is is quite something. So the guy who has him in our
- 39:21league is is one of the best teams.
- 39:23So you can, if you're an elite team in every other way, like
- 39:26this is someone you pick up because you just gonna win you
- 39:28blogs for this week and you're also gonna win the other
- 39:29categories. OK, next. #4.
- 39:35Of the Utah Mammoth they have a team name now Jack that make
- 39:41Bane. I missed the missed the days
- 39:44when they were just the Utah Jack McBain. 1.2 Pimms on the
- 39:48season, 1.4 shots, 5 faceoffs which is very nice.
- 39:52Very nice and 2.5 minutes. That was a Borat reference for
- 39:55those who don't know. You got the mass playing your
- 39:59Borat reference. Yeah, so we got we got Jack
- 40:05Mcbean. This is a even without the
- 40:08faceoffs, it's kind of like a nice little cherry on top.
- 40:11This is another four-game week. He'll get you the back
- 40:14categories. Not much more to say there. 5%
- 40:17own basically a double double and The thing is the pimms here,
- 40:21the 1.2 Pimms per game on the season.
- 40:24That's Pimms are really rough to stream because usually the guys
- 40:28that average a lot of guys that tend to fight a lot or you know,
- 40:31get you can you can have a kind of like non reliable numbers.
- 40:34When you look at a guy that got like a game misconduct, that's
- 40:36not usually like an enforcer type of guy and like, Oh my God,
- 40:38he averages like a pinball game. Just cause you got a game is
- 40:41called at the very end of the game or something like that.
- 40:43But this is the type of guy that you can rely to get Pimms.
- 40:45He's 1.4 shots, 5 face off wins, 2.5 hits.
- 40:48The hits threshold is high, almost two shots, which is
- 40:51great. And the pimms exposure for our
- 40:53data centre left wing eligible. Usually you get this production
- 40:56from Defenseman, but you can get it from a forward this week and
- 40:58Jackman is one of the best names for it.
- 41:01Yes, absolutely. OK, next we have.
- 41:05Number. Three, I'm really amazed that
- 41:08you're not like you're. There's a lot of coffee and
- 41:11water. Seriously, though, that's that's
- 41:15tough to do when you were gone that episode and I had to, it
- 41:18was really like, it was exhausting.
- 41:20So. What we say in my spare time, so
- 41:23it really helps. Alright, we have of the New
- 41:30Jersey Devils, Brendan Dillon, who's been really, really
- 41:34reliable for hits and blocks this season. 3.5, No 2.6 hits on
- 41:39the season, 1.8 blocks. This is all volume, guys.
- 41:44I mean, four games this week, he's going to get you the
- 41:46numbers. Four games this week, this is
- 41:48the type of guy that you like. I dropped the Romanoff to get me
- 41:50over two hits and over 2 blocks. And Romanov has been but and
- 41:57yeah, yeah, Donkey autonomous for donkey.
- 41:59Yeah, yeah. And now he's hurt so I gotta cut
- 42:02him and maybe I'll stream Brendan Dillon, which I know
- 42:04he's not available in my league, but yeah, he might be available
- 42:07in yours. And if you need a guide that's
- 42:09going to give you a lot of hits and a lot of blocks 4 game week.
- 42:12This is the type of guy you stream and usually hits and
- 42:16blocks production are pretty consistent.
- 42:17Like points and shots can go up and down but hit some blocks.
- 42:21When the guys are like when is their specialty, they usually
- 42:25come through. So Brandon is one of those names
- 42:28that I'm always looking at picking up on a four-game week
- 42:30when I hit when I need some blocks.
- 42:32Yeah, I'm with you there. OK, next. #2.
- 42:37This is the fanciest name in the NHL when pronounced elegantly
- 42:41and with Josh, loves to do so. Shout out to Josh for this one.
- 42:45Two off nights, four games of the Dallas Stars, we have Leanne
- 42:50Birchell. I actually can't get over the
- 42:55difference between Leanne Michelle and Leon Bissell.
- 42:57It's like so. Just in this is how you say
- 42:59different. Exactly, but it really like the
- 43:03pronunciation just just really makes or breaks it.
- 43:06I kind of think of another player in the NHL that that has
- 43:08this dichotomy. Is that the word?
- 43:11Sure. I knew Josh to be here to check
- 43:14my vocabulary anyway. Nevertheless, he's been really,
- 43:18really solid all season, .8 Pimms, which is very nice. 3.5
- 43:22hits, 1.1 blocks. Yeah, the reason why he's more
- 43:25of a, I would say, interesting name now is because this is the
- 43:29type of guy that's always been in super 1 dimensional.
- 43:31So even in bangers leaks is usually widely available right
- 43:34as we speak. He's 18% owned.
- 43:36And it was less than that a week and a half ago because ever
- 43:38since the Thomas Harley injury, he's been pushed into a
- 43:41situation where he's playing top 4 minutes for defensemen.
- 43:43So instead of playing, you know, 1415 minutes tonight, he's now
- 43:46playing closer to 20 minutes a night.
- 43:48And if her defenseman like this that specializes in getting
- 43:51hits, not really blocks, but you're on the ice more, you're
- 43:54going to block. So we haven't seen the blocks
- 43:56take up that much since the injury, but the hits are still
- 43:59there and the pins are still there.
- 44:01Like he's the type of guy that his Pimms are not necessarily
- 44:04from the game misconducts where the fights or whatever.
- 44:06He's just undisciplined on the ice because he's still very
- 44:09young. So he's getting a lot of minor
- 44:11penalties and that's good for your PMS leagues.
- 44:13So yeah, I like him a lot. I picked them up in Week 7
- 44:17proactively 4 this Week 8 stream because with the the Thomas
- 44:21Harley injury and the extra minutes, I'm hoping that his his
- 44:24go up and his blocks go up. And I think it's very valuable.
- 44:27Rangers leagues. I'm really interested in the
- 44:29Leanne Bischel. Yeah, it's, uh, this is not to
- 44:34speak to any offensive potential, OK, But it's kind of
- 44:38noteworthy that in 2022, Q is a first round pick for them.
- 44:40He was pick 818th overall. And that means to me that with
- 44:46the opportunity and the defensive injuries that they
- 44:48currently have, he's gonna keep the decent minutes.
- 44:52I genuinely believe in that because they're, they're still
- 44:55trying to get him going. He's only 21 years old and he's
- 44:58like an absolute Wrecking Ball out there.
- 45:00Shout out to Miley Cyrus and showed up.
- 45:03Yeah. I mean, like, if you look at the
- 45:06other defensemen on this team, you have Haskin and Lindell, who
- 45:08are kind of mainstays. And then, like Kyle Copacabana,
- 45:11I'm kidding. I know his capital Bianco, but
- 45:13it's kind of funny to pronounce it that way.
- 45:15A lot of Slav, Kolyat, Chinook, Alex Petrovic and then Leon
- 45:20Beachell. I mean, the other three guys are
- 45:22not really a thing in the NHL. So, well, their families
- 45:27disagree, but I. I said in the NHL, I mean, we're
- 45:30all proud of them. Like good, good job.
- 45:32You worked hard, you're there. I'm sure you're making very
- 45:34decent money, but you. Know still before fantasy this
- 45:38week. They're not relevant at all and
- 45:39they suck. Bushell, however, you should
- 45:43definitely pick up. Yeah, OK.
- 45:45And then at #1 this guy's just, this guy just just gets it done.
- 45:53Of the Anaheim Ducks, the captain, the one, the only Radko
- 45:59Gudas. And the crowd goes.
- 46:01Wild. The crowd does go wild.
- 46:03I hear everybody in the YouTube comments going crazy for ADCO do
- 46:06this. But I feel good.
- 46:08This is not a surprise. That seriously, I mean he's just
- 46:11one of those names that and you're in a bangers.
- 46:14Can you talk about Gus and he's available in your league just
- 46:17like OK, you play in a Mickey Mouse league like what type of
- 46:20banger league doesn't have Buddhist rostered?
- 46:22He's only 2421% roster as we speak, 4% up from last week.
- 46:26He was injured for a significant amount of time and a lot of
- 46:29people dropped and didn't have the luxury of holding him.
- 46:31But now he's that. He might not be playing 20
- 46:33minutes a night anymore, but he doesn't need to play 20 minutes
- 46:36tonight to still be super valuable for your fantasy team.
- 46:38He's been, yeah, healthy for three games since injury.
- 46:40He got four hits, five hits, seven hits, blocks, 312.
- 46:44That's an average of 2. So all that to say, this is the
- 46:46type of guide that has such a high ceiling for bangers.
- 46:49He's still good for pimps because he's a fighter.
- 46:51You're not picking him for the shot, but he still averages over
- 46:53a shot a game. But the hips ceiling and the
- 46:56blocks, he's one of the best guys that have the combo of
- 46:58both. And I'm really upset that we let
- 47:02Josh pick him up in our league of record.
- 47:05Yeah, big time, big time that. And then he leaves us.
- 47:08Yeah. Seriously.
- 47:09And it's called goal two games ago.
- 47:11Like how do we let Josh get away with this?
- 47:13No, it's crazy. I mean like any sprinkle of
- 47:16offence that you'll get which which is not going to be like
- 47:18totally non-existent. Like I have more faith in his
- 47:21offence than Leanne Michelle's as an example of meat market
- 47:24type. He'll get you .2 or .3 points.
- 47:26I'm not. I don't think it's more than
- 47:28Michelle, but it's not anything to write home about.
- 47:30Yeah, I don't want anybody to get confused here.
- 47:33Just saying it's like it could happen because the shots are are
- 47:37not like like never a thing. So that's nice.
- 47:41But the the hits and the blocks mainly the hits is where it's
- 47:43at. He tries to hit like that's what
- 47:45he does. And to be honest, there's
- 47:48something to be said for a team that's now really, really good,
- 47:53which the Anaheim Ducks are. And older guys kind of just like
- 47:57falling out of favor and not really being relevant on the
- 48:00team. That being said, he is the
- 48:03captain when he's on the ice, he's going to do what he's done
- 48:08his entire career, which is go out and hit guys and do whatever
- 48:11he can to boost his team. He's not gonna become irrelevant
- 48:14given that now they're an insane offensive team, which obviously
- 48:18could slow down. Nevertheless, it's still good.
- 48:20But what I really love is that Gudis has the respect in the
- 48:23locker room. He has the just keep doing what
- 48:27he's been doing his entire career and it's going to be
- 48:29really, really great for bangers leagues.
- 48:31There's no banger league that's above 10 teams that he should be
- 48:36on free agency. That's what I think.
- 48:39So, yeah, he's a great one for this week.
- 48:42All right, Captain, technical difficulties over here.
- 48:45OK, our top three waiver pickups for this week are Brayden
- 48:52Bowman, Matt Coronado and Anton Lindell.
- 48:56So pick him up because they'll be super helpful for your.
- 49:00Squad two out of three of them have a three-game week, Bowman's
- 49:02got a four-game week, but we're confident that all of them will
- 49:05pay dividends this week if you picked them up.
- 49:07Yes, big time, big time. OK, let's get into our top three
- 49:10quantity goalie starts. Just to refresher for everybody,
- 49:14these guys are going to get 2 plus starts this coming week and
- 49:17they are under 40 owned. Yep.
- 49:21I would say just we're ranking them one to three, but they're
- 49:23not always, there's not always a separate these guys.
- 49:26If you need goalie starts, these are great.
- 49:29These are great names. We will cover quality goalies
- 49:33after if you need more of a quality touch to your matchup
- 49:36but at #3 number. 3. Our tours she loves me, she
- 49:43loves me not of the Pittsburgh Penguins who I dropped a lot of
- 49:49fab on this week free agency budget and I'm scared because he
- 49:54had a big not good game last time he played.
- 49:59He just got lit up against Minnesota.
- 50:01They lost 50. He let in four goals on ten
- 50:04shots. So if you're looking at this
- 50:05last game and you're like, why are we recommending him?
- 50:07I understand, but he's still the starting goalie for Pittsburgh.
- 50:11He's going to two games this upcoming week.
- 50:14I he's been solid. All your games like this happen.
- 50:17We've seen Bobrovski pooped the bed recently.
- 50:20We've seen, you know, I mean, Blackwood hasn't been super
- 50:23solid like the the best goalies are not always going to be the
- 50:28best performers on a weekly basis.
- 50:29Everybody is susceptible to a bad start.
- 50:31His just happened to happen last game.
- 50:33So. Yeah.
- 50:35And these are these are beatable teams that they're playing.
- 50:38They can easily beat Buffalo and then they have a Columbus,
- 50:40Toronto on a back-to-back. Either one that he gets there, I
- 50:43think Pittsburgh could win, but I'd prefer that he plays
- 50:45Toronto. Yeah, Pittsburgh type of team
- 50:47that like they've been winning a lot of games.
- 50:49They're kind of starting to slow down, which we all expected.
- 50:51They could win all these three games, they could lose all these
- 50:54three games. I would not be shocked.
- 50:55But you know what? When you know what she loves,
- 50:56he's gonna get 2 starts and he should be solid in all two of
- 51:00these starts. Yeah, exactly.
- 51:02OK, next. #2. We have knock heaven of the
- 51:07Bangor management Fantasy hockey podcast, but Kevin of the
- 51:09Vancouver Canucks, Kevin Lankinen that was a very
- 51:11necessary intro. Yes it was.
- 51:14They got three games this week, Anaheim Ducks, San Jose Sharks
- 51:17and lack LA Kings. So.
- 51:20That's he kept messing up in the show dogs last year with one of
- 51:26the things I think it was or was he you was on purpose who did.
- 51:29This who was me and we're in the airport too long.
- 51:32I was putting airport codes instead of team names.
- 51:35But Kevin LinkedIn now the starter for the Vancouver
- 51:38Canucks. Yeah.
- 51:39And I'm maybe seems scary with what they've been doing, but it
- 51:43could easily be a low scoring game.
- 51:44And then San Jose and the Kings, like just Lincoln is a solid
- 51:48goalie. Vancouver is a little bit hot
- 51:50right now. You know he's going to get two
- 51:52of these starts. That's kind of what you're
- 51:54looking for here. Yeah, I want to be honest, this
- 51:56transaction scares me. I prefer Sheilas over Lankin in
- 52:00for sure this week based on their laptops.
- 52:01And I actually think that they're gonna lose 2 out of
- 52:05these three games. I just don't know which.
- 52:06That being said, quantity is where it's out here and he's
- 52:09going to get the quantity. So that's really the whole point
- 52:13of this section. And he is a decent goalie in his
- 52:17own right. Like it's not like it's
- 52:18impossible that they'll they'll win 2 out of the three.
- 52:21I just, I don't really think that they will.
- 52:23I think they're gonna go one and two on the week.
- 52:25Yep. What about you?
- 52:26Do you agree? I mean, yeah, I would.
- 52:28I would not bet my house on them winning any specific game here.
- 52:31I think they'll win one of these at least.
- 52:33Yeah, would it maybe sounds on either one of them.
- 52:35Yeah, I think is probably the easiest.
- 52:36But they've also been pretty solid recently and they're like
- 52:38coming out of games bringing wins.
- 52:40It could honestly be like the Kings, depending on who the
- 52:42defences are, like the goalie. Sorry.
- 52:45But yeah. Anyways, Lee is a good option,
- 52:47especially in quantity. And this is more of a long term
- 52:49pickup as well because if you're struggling at goalie, like he'll
- 52:52be an average goalie, he'll be an average goalie for you, but
- 52:54he'll get you starts. Concur with that, and we have
- 52:58at. Number one.
- 53:01Jake not of the Manger Management Fantasy Hockey
- 53:04podcast, but of the New Jersey Devils.
- 53:06Jake Allen, What are the? Odds to get back-to-back.
- 53:09We had to find a Josh goalie so we could put #3 but I guess
- 53:13Archers will have to suffice. We'll call Josh Arthurs on that
- 53:16episode. Because they are, Arthur's
- 53:20assistance has to change his name to Josh, but maybe Josh
- 53:23wants to change his name to Art. Has a nice ring to it.
- 53:26I think we. Should do it as consequence for
- 53:29missing this episode next time my introduced us and all the
- 53:33everyone's gonna get it who's listening to the this episode
- 53:37but who Josh will not know what we're talking about.
- 53:40I'm gonna say welcome in with Jake Arthurs and Kevin and he's
- 53:44gonna be like, what is going on? We just have to pretend that
- 53:47that's been his name this entire time.
- 53:49OK, cool. Anyway, like a prank from the
- 53:51office. Exactly.
- 53:53Back to the point here of the New Jersey Devils, Jake Allen,
- 53:56they play Detroit, St. Louis, Buffalo slash Philly on a
- 53:59back-to-back. They can demolish and should
- 54:03demolish St. Louis because they suck.
- 54:05And I'm sorry because I thought they were going to be good and I
- 54:07was wrong. It happens.
- 54:09But we're usually right. And just Buffalo, Philly.
- 54:11They can also win both of those games.
- 54:14Detroit's a tough matchup, but New Jersey still a wagon.
- 54:16I know what the hues either they're slowing down, they are
- 54:19not going to be as good as they have been all season.
- 54:21Nevertheless, I still I still think that this is a decent team
- 54:25and if he gets if he gets three of these games like wow.
- 54:29That's pretty good. You might be like, wait, what
- 54:31happened to Jacob Markstrom? Jacob Markstrom is currently,
- 54:34first of all, bad and also second of all, kind of banged
- 54:37up. He's healthy enough to back up,
- 54:39but not healthy enough to start for some reason.
- 54:41And maybe that's just their way of having excuse to bench him
- 54:45because he's been awful. And Alan has actually been
- 54:48pretty good started. He's been given he's starting
- 54:50the last game of week 7 as well. So you know, we're getting the
- 54:54opportunity to see what he can do in this role.
- 54:55Like does Jake Allen still have it in him to play the volume?
- 54:58I think he's younger than you expect as well.
- 55:00I feel like I I thought he was closer to 40 years old.
- 55:02I think he's like 33 or 35 or something.
- 55:06But nonetheless, you're picking up the starter on New Jersey for
- 55:09the current moment. He'll get you at least two.
- 55:11He can probably get you 3 starts this upcoming week.
- 55:13They're all winnable games as well.
- 55:15He's this, he's the clear best pickup for goalies this upcoming
- 55:18week. I think, like I said before,
- 55:21maybe you changed your order with this 123, but this week
- 55:24Alan is a priority. Yeah, I agree.
- 55:26I mean, he's been super good. His percentages over the past
- 55:29few games have been amazing, 958935971, that's just super,
- 55:34super elite stuff. And Markstrom has been Donkey,
- 55:37honestly, it's just it's been fun.
- 55:40Yeah, he's definitely, he's been, Yeah.
- 55:46So realistically, I think that they're gonna ride the hot hand
- 55:50here because they need to get the wins when Jack Hughes out.
- 55:52That's an important element of it.
- 55:54So, yeah, I like it a lot. OK, Now quality starts.
- 55:58These are goalies that are going to get one good, one good game
- 56:01that they have a very high chance of winning.
- 56:04And they're also under 40% owned.
- 56:07Let's start with. Just before I do the throat
- 56:11code, I will, I will just say like these are the games that
- 56:15you can never predict the quality of a specific goalie on
- 56:18any given day. Like no matter how good the
- 56:20matchup is, you never know what can happen.
- 56:21But when you're streaming for one start, you want to stream
- 56:24for a win. And these are goalies that are
- 56:25going to give you a better than not chance at getting you a win
- 56:28for your fantasy team. So let's start with number. 3.
- 56:32You tell them, nice, we have Carl Lindenbaum, he is playing
- 56:40Montreal and San Jose. Montreal, you may be saying, OK,
- 56:45well, there's such a good team. Nope, No, they are not new Hook
- 56:48being injured is like a real big deal.
- 56:50And not to get too into the weeds of the Habs this year, but
- 56:55they're they're really injured and banged up right now.
- 56:57And you could like Vegas should win for sure.
- 57:01And then they're playing San Jose, who's been hot, but
- 57:04they're still a young team. Then there will be
- 57:06inconsistencies. Vegas is simply a better team
- 57:08than them. So I really like it as a quality
- 57:10start this week. Yeah, Vegas is going to be
- 57:13favored in most of the games they play.
- 57:14Limbaugh, listen, it's not the best amazing goalie, but playing
- 57:18Montreal, playing San Jose, he can get a win in those games and
- 57:20that's why you stream. Yes, I concur.
- 57:24Next at. #2. Of the Los Angeles Dodgers
- 57:30kidding the Los Angeles Kings, we have.
- 57:32Hilarious at AJ. So funny stop.
- 57:36I'm taking my hosting duties and I'm running with it.
- 57:38And also trying to compensate for forgetting your throat
- 57:40coating for a few of those. OK, we have at #2 Anton
- 57:46Forsberg, the Kings are playing the Ducks and Canucks on a
- 57:52back-to-back. And I'm a poet and I didn't even
- 57:54know it. And Ella, Ella is a good team.
- 57:57Ella is a very good team. I think their offence has been
- 58:01better than I thought they were gonna be this year.
- 58:03And I always thought they were gonna be shut down.
- 58:05So, you know, when he doesn't play a lot, but when he does,
- 58:08because the Kings are good, you can expect some decent stats.
- 58:12So if he plays Vancouver, it's AW, Anaheim's A question mark,
- 58:15but I think he'll get the easier matchup.
- 58:17So if he plays Vancouver, I'm happy with it.
- 58:19You're streaming a strong team against a team that's not as
- 58:22good as them. It's always a better opportunity
- 58:25than not to get a win. I like them.
- 58:27Yeah, and of the Pittsburgh Penguins, what may turn into the
- 58:32bane of my existence, but I hope he does not because I I really
- 58:36want. She loves to be the guy.
- 58:37But anyway, we have. Number one.
- 58:41Loyal to our fans and tell them good deal.
- 58:45You're setting me up for failure here.
- 58:47What's happening? I was just funny.
- 58:49I just know purpose. I did that on purpose.
- 58:51Alright, As Kevin said, number one, you're so much better than
- 58:55me. I did.
- 58:55I literally don't understand how you do it.
- 58:57Sergei Mershon V of the Pittsburgh Penguins, he just
- 59:03kinda came out of nowhere and got a shout out when they were
- 59:06playing in Europe versus Nashville.
- 59:08And she loves has been, but as of late, I still think Sheila is
- 59:13going to get the volume. Yeah, I know, but still,
- 59:16Marshall did Well. That's more Marshall being good
- 59:19than me being discouraged by Sheilas.
- 59:21But look, they have a back-to-back.
- 59:23She loves gonna get 2 games. Marshall should get one.
- 59:25And as we spoke about before, both Columbus and Toronto are
- 59:28both edible. Yep.
- 59:30Listen, would I be, would I be shocked if Marshall plays two
- 59:33games this upcoming week? I would not.
- 59:35Just because she loves it falters.
- 59:37Said that. She loved it falter recently and
- 59:39like opportunity to come in and he played decently well.
- 59:42You just gotta shut up before, but it was Nashville.
- 59:44So like Nashville is not the best competition either, but
- 59:47they have an easier schedule coming up.
- 59:49So we'll see. This is this is a situation to
- 59:51monitor. Like I know we just recommended
- 59:54she loves as a quantity start, but the situation is constantly
- 59:57evolving. It's very fluid.
- 59:58So monitor will will. Keep you guys updated in the
- 1:00:01discourse specifically, but we know for sure Michael is getting
- 1:00:04at least one game versus Columbus or Toronto and it's it
- 1:00:08should be a a good quality game. Yes, yes.
