  intro. Anyways, I wanted to take a moment to chat with you

  about things moving forward for the channel and what
• 0:29
  content we're excited to release throughout the rest of
• 0:31
  2024. Firstly, I have some good news
• 0:34
  and some maybe not so good news. Which
• 0:37
  would you like to hear first? Oh, right.
• 0:40
  This isn't live. This is a podcast. Okay, sorry. we'll start
• 0:42
  off with the good news benders and brews season three is on
• 0:45
  its way. And to top that off, we're going to
• 0:48
  be releasing it earlier than we normally would. That's
• 0:51
  right. Typically, we release seasons of
• 0:54
  benders and brews as close to April 20 eigth as
• 0:57
  possible, since it aligns with the day that the
• 1:00
  Avatar day episode of Avatar, the Last Airbender
• 1:03
  was released. And, ah, we thought that was kind of a fun,
• 1:05
  cheeky reference there and a way for us to pay a little bit
• 1:08
  of homage to the original series that inspired our show.
• 1:11
  But this year, there's something big
• 1:14
  happening surrounding the Avatar, the last airbender that we want
• 1:17
  to focus on and be a part of. And that is the live action
• 1:20
  Netflix series. Of course, we don't know a whole lot
• 1:23
  about it, aside from the sneak peeks and trailers that they've
• 1:26
  offered us so far, but we're excited for it
• 1:28
  nonetheless. And we're excited to take part in the hopefully
• 1:31
  eruption of content that the Avatar, the last Airbender team,
• 1:34
  is planning to bring our way in the future. So
• 1:37
  in order to take part in that community development, we're
• 1:39
  planning on releasing this little announcement episode today, which
• 1:42
  is followed by our recap episode, which will cover
• 1:45
  where we are and everything all the
• 1:48
  way from back to season one through season two, with all the
• 1:51
  important highlights to kind of get you back into the story and how far
• 1:54
  we've come. And that will air on February 22,
• 1:57
  which is the same day that the live action show
• 2:00
  goes, well, live. Then
• 2:02
  the very next week, on February 29, we'll be
• 2:05
  airing the titular session zero of Benders and Brews
• 2:08
  season three, along with the first actual episode
• 2:11
  of season three. So you can see where the gang heads
• 2:14
  off to following their escape from the ex rescue
• 2:17
  team squadron facility, being tailed by the Fire
• 2:20
  Nation nemesis general Wang Long. And I
• 2:23
  am super excited to start sharing the story with you. And
• 2:26
  I'll tell you right now that we've already recorded episode one
• 2:29
  and things have already gone completely off
• 2:32
  the rails. With that being said, it's time to go into the
• 2:35
  less great news. With the close of Benders and Brews
• 2:38
  season three, which we estimate will be,
• 2:40
  probably sometime in August of 2024, this
• 2:43
  will also be the end of our Benders and
• 2:46
  Brews series. I know it's a bummer, but
• 2:49
  due to some life and scheduling changes amongst our
• 2:51
  players, we just can't find a way to continue the
• 2:54
  series and do the amazing stories that we've created thus
• 2:57
  far justice without leaving people out. And those
• 3:00
  are people that have done so much to make these
• 3:03
  amazing characters that they've developed and become so beloved by
• 3:06
  you. So we don't want to do that just for the sake of
• 3:09
  progression. We want to close out stories
• 3:12
  in a natural and awesome way. We feel that
• 3:15
  rather than try and push the series without these
• 3:17
  characters, something we feel like would honestly
• 3:20
  harm more than it helps. we'd rather wrap up their
• 3:23
  tale of these four mischievous teens and their tea
• 3:25
  shop and close their stories out. I
• 3:28
  know it's incredibly bittersweet, but I hope that we can do them
• 3:31
  justice with the story that we tell and the way we close it
• 3:34
  out. So be sure to tune in for the final season
• 3:37
  and enjoy the finale for our intrepid crew.

  Now, I want to emphasize that this does not mean that we'll be
• 3:43
  closing out session Zero Heroes podcast. We still
• 3:45
  plan to continue to write, record, and post new
• 3:48
  episodes of other series and one shots moving forward. And

  heck, we might even do avatar legend one shots. And
• 3:54
  maybe we'll even bring back some of the old characters from Benders and
• 3:57
  Bruce. Who knows? With that tough announcement out of the way, I

  want to lead into an opportunity, an opportunity that

  will involve you. We want to have a

  post series Q A with myself and the

  amazing cast of benders and brews to answer any of your

  questions you might have about the story or the

  characters and just everything in between. So all you have to

  And that's the kind of stuff that we want to answer, and hopefully be

  able to answer. I'm going to push everybody to kind of do their best

  to really think through, their answers and
• 5:09
  give you some closure, hopefully, on some of the characters
• 5:12
  or some explanation on some of the directions that they want.

  Then looking even deeper into the future with our current
• 5:17
  plans for the channel. So we have criminals of Island Numis, which is our
• 5:20
  Dungeons and Dragons fifth edition podcast that will be taking
• 5:23
  a break after our most recent episode, which is episode
• 5:26
  eight. And this aired on the 15 February
• 5:29
  in order to put focus on season three of benders and
• 5:32
  bruise. But never fear if you're a big fan of criminals of
• 5:35
  island Numis, because it will be making a return after
• 5:38
  we conclude Benders and bruise, season three and the
• 5:41
  Q and a episode. So we know episode eight
• 5:43
  is kind of a weird spot to end on. usually it's like
• 5:46
  a twelve episode season, especially with our
• 5:49
  Benders and brews series. That's kind of what we've had as the
• 5:52
  standard, but it's going to close out right at the end of
• 5:55
  the Minotaur race. So hopefully it'll be kind of like less
• 5:58
  of a cliffhanger that you have to sit on for a huge amount of time and a little
• 6:01
  bit more closure than we'd normally leave at the end of a season.
• 6:04
  We also have, some awesome one shots headed your
• 6:07
  way as well. We have a total currently of three one
• 6:10
  shots officially planned for 2024 that we're
• 6:12
  currently working on with one or two additional ones that
• 6:15
  we're discussing right now. Our plan is to do a one
• 6:18
  shot, of escape from Dino island, which was created by
• 6:21
  Sam Tung and Sam Roberts. Two Sam's how cool is
• 6:24
  that? And uses the powered by the apocalypse tTrPg
• 6:27
  system. This was one that I wrote, or rather,
• 6:30
  they wrote a lot of the stuff for it when they wrote the
• 6:33
  purchasable escape from Dino island kind of
• 6:35
  TTRPG setup. It's really meant to be a one
• 6:38
  shot, and it's all pretty heavily written for
• 6:40
  you. there's just some blanks that you have to fill in, and you can
• 6:43
  kind of add to it as you want, which is what I did. so I wrote this
• 6:46
  one. I'll be running it with some brand new voices on the channel, I
• 6:49
  hope. And I couldn't be more excited for it because I know
• 6:52
  I grew up a big fan of dinosaurs and,
• 6:55
  one of my first career paths that I thought I was going to get into as a
• 6:58
  kid was being an archaeologist. So it's definitely
• 7:01
  dear to my heart, and I'm excited to bring in some interesting
• 7:04
  new voices for you to listen to. And
• 7:06
  who knows what kind of cool stories we're going to tell with that. You'll
• 7:09
  know when you tune in to find out once we post it, so keep
• 7:12
  that in mind. the next one shot that we've got planned is
• 7:15
  based in the post apocalyptic world of
• 7:18
  Fallout, which we are excited to air
• 7:20
  alongside the Amazon Fallout series. Weird coincidence
• 7:23
  there. once again, I'll be in charge of this short series
• 7:26
  as my players venture into the harrowing and
• 7:29
  dangerous worlds of the apocalypse. Now, I won't
• 7:32
  say too much, but I will
• 7:34
  say or hint at the fact that I have a special
• 7:37
  throwback in there that harkens back to the first
• 7:40
  podcast I, Skyler, ever created, which is called
• 7:43
  the Apocalypse Bros. Now, that podcast is kind of dead and
• 7:46
  gone at this point. You can go check it out if you want. You can find it everywhere
• 7:49
  that podcast can be found. It was created during and very
• 7:52
  focused on Covid, and the whole pandemic surrounding
• 7:55
  that in kind of near, 20, 21,
• 7:58
  22 kind of area. So there's some
• 8:01
  references in there that are a little bit dated back to that time, but,
• 8:04
  it is an entertaining show and we had a lot of fun making it.
• 8:06
  And you're going to hear a lot more about the
• 8:09
  apocalypse bros within the fallout series, in the
• 8:12
  most interesting way possible. And I'll do a lot more explaining on
• 8:15
  that once we actually get into the fallout
• 8:18
  one shot. So keep that in mind and look forward to that.

  Finally, our last officially planned one shot
• 8:24
  currently will be another monster of the week series, which
• 8:27
  I know a lot of people really enjoyed, so I'm excited to do another
• 8:30
  one, the story of which, is completely a mystery
• 8:33
  to me because I will not be running it. How great is that? A
• 8:36
  good friend of mine, Nate, who I heard talk pretty passionately about
• 8:38
  this, his love for m monster of the week and the stories you can tell within
• 8:41
  it. he was talking to me, and I convinced him to host a one
• 8:44
  shot for the podcast. I say convinced him as if he wasn't more
• 8:47
  than happy to do it. So I'm incredibly excited not only
• 8:50
  to get the chance to play, which, isn't something I always get to
• 8:53
  do very often, but also to see an exciting
• 8:56
  story unfold. So we'll be keeping with normal tradition of
• 8:59
  hosting a monster of the week one shot around Halloween to
• 9:02
  really get the spooky vibes flowing. So I'm very excited about
• 9:05
  that and I hope you are too. I know. Like I said, we had a lot of
• 9:07
  feedback saying they love the monster of the week stuff. It is a
• 9:10
  fantastic system. Incredibly fun. So
• 9:13
  much versatility and so much that you can make out of
• 9:16
  it. It's really great. So, as mentioned, there will be other
• 9:19
  one shots that we have in the work. It's really just simply a matter
• 9:22
  of working to kind of determine the logistics of getting them
• 9:25
  written and recorded and edited in time and
• 9:28
  along with the other content that we already have planned. But whatever the
• 9:31
  case, we'll keep you guys updated on any future
• 9:33
  updates and plans that we have as far as getting
• 9:36
  those out. So to close things out, I want to personally say
• 9:39
  a massive, massive thank you to all

  of the amazing people that have been involved up
• 9:45
  until this point with benders, and brews,
• 9:48
  especially, benders and Brews was the show that really started
• 9:51
  at all for our channel. I mean, we weren't even session zero
• 9:53
  heroes until this, like around July of this last year
• 9:56
  where we switched over, to add in a little bit
• 9:59
  more versatility with our shows. It started out as just
• 10:02
  simply benders and Brews and Avatar legends actual play
• 10:05
  podcast. And I'm still to this day
• 10:08
  finding little, text blurbs and descriptions
• 10:11
  that I have to go in and change now, that still say
• 10:13
  benders and bruise and Avatar Legends podcast as our
• 10:16
  podcast name. And we've
• 10:19
  had such an amazing vocal cast
• 10:22
  and I'm talking like the players, absolutely
• 10:24
  fantastic. They've done a great job of playing their characters.
• 10:27
  But outside of that, we had a variety of
• 10:30
  NPC characters, all of whom are credited
• 10:33
  to their respective vocal cast, if, you check the episode
• 10:36
  descriptions. And they just did such an
• 10:38
  amazing job. Oh my gosh. Like
• 10:41
  truly amazing. they got me recordings in
• 10:44
  a timely manner. They sent know, obviously they had to go through a whole
• 10:47
  audition process. they made sure to do high
• 10:50
  quality audio. they just really took our
• 10:53
  stories and episodes to the next level. So if you are somebody
• 10:56
  that did, voice one of the NPC characters that we
• 10:59
  had in the Benders and Brews series, seriously.
