- 0:01Hello, folks, this is Princess, you are listening to the
- 0:04millennial Mustard Seed, pod casts.
- 0:06Thanks for listening. Don't forget to share with your
- 0:09friends. I stopped wearing a very tough
- 0:12spot. I think that what we're doing
- 0:15right now is a great benefit and virtue because it's an
- 0:19end-around between this whole corrupt informational system
- 0:23media system. We claim to believe in a God who
- 0:27spoke the universe into existence and literally raised
- 0:30himself from the dead. And yet, we're not going to
- 0:34believe that anything else exists in the spirit realm, even
- 0:37though his word tells us that they do, Their bodies weren't
- 0:41permitted to go to sleep, like humans do, and there weren't
- 0:45permitted to go to heaven. So they wander the Earth.
- 0:49You know, I've seen as turn black to unknown tongues being
- 0:53spoken. These Giants were the way up and
- 0:56all the upgrades, the young man was hiding in the trees.
- 1:01The way for one of these, twelve Footers to come walking down the
- 1:03back and they would jump on Dragon back.
- 1:15Then people start to get weapons, I start to get armor,
- 1:17they start to build cities, they social fortify their cities.
- 1:20Now, God looks down and there's violence everywhere.
- 1:24The battle this war that we are at, is not against each other.
- 1:28It's against these principalities in these rulers
- 1:30in, these are cons in high places.
- 1:32It's really worthwhile to read the Bible.
- 1:34A fear is one of the primary drivers of mind control because
- 1:40we have to take every thought captive and resist fear.
- 1:47You're going to have a testimony that is a Justice case against
- 1:52the kingdom of darkness. This is boy Brandon.
- 2:08Thank you for tuning into the millennial.
- 2:09Must eat. My favorite podcast.
- 2:17Welcome back to the millennial Mustard Seed, pod cast.
- 2:21I am excited for this episode returning his friend, dr.
- 2:27Laura Sanger. And this is a much-needed
- 2:30conversation. You guys.
- 2:32It seems to be like we're doing this annual birthday interview
- 2:37and it's just an honor to call her friend.
- 2:39We talked about how important it is to walk.
- 2:43In the fear of the Lord in order to Be Giants layers.
- 2:47And also to war, to go to war from a place of rest resting in
- 2:53God, we dive deep into the scriptures, pulling out, just
- 2:58gems in the word of God to help us understand what the
- 3:01difference is between fearing. Man versus fearing the Lord.
- 3:06And why does God command us to rest?
- 3:08And how can we go to war from a place of rest?
- 3:12Honestly, what's the First between Saul's Kingdom vs,
- 3:15David's Kingdom in the Old Testament.
- 3:17And really, what does it mean to fear the lord?
- 3:20What does that look like, dr. Lara shares some personal
- 3:24experiences at the end as well as I do just about growing and
- 3:28learning these things over time. And just how important it is to
- 3:31stay close to the word of God in the days that we live in.
- 3:35I know you guys are going to love this episode.
- 3:37Let me do some real quick maintenance, before we get right
- 3:40into it. Don't forget to like share.
- 3:43Subscribe to the podcast on whatever platform you guys.
- 3:46Listen on, please leave me that five star rating and review,
- 3:50that helps the show grow. Next up, in case you guys didn't
- 3:54know, I am a big fan of canary cry radio Canary fry news talk
- 4:00with basil. And gonz I'm asking all of you
- 4:03guys friends family, listeners that you guys will keep Basile
- 4:07and prayer. He had a surgery and we're
- 4:10really hoping that God will bring a full healing.
- 4:13Of restoration to him so he can get back on air over there with
- 4:17sir guns and they can keep producing much needed content.
- 4:22Oh, I don't want to forget this dr.
- 4:23Lara, sent me. 22 promises. There's 22 different promises
- 4:30that you can find in the show notes.
- 4:33You guys go take a screenshot of them.
- 4:35Go write them down, whatever it takes, it is important because
- 4:39these are promises that God gives us for being obedient for
- 4:42following going after him and that is the kind of
- 4:45encouragement. We need in these days that we
- 4:47live in. Next up, this coming Thursday
- 4:50May 25th at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard time.
- 4:55I will be joining and crn radio network the rundown of our
- 5:00reality and fire back radio. We got some great feedback,
- 5:04there was a lot of information covered last time but we did not
- 5:07cover everything so I will be joining up with the crew again
- 5:12for a part. To to the Symposium, you can
- 5:15find some information on the show notes.
- 5:17Well, that's all the maintenance things.
- 5:19At least, I think I know them forgetting something, but
- 5:23whatever, I am ready for this episode.
- 5:27Are you guys ready? Let's go.
- 5:50Welcome back to the show. Everybody, I have a special
- 5:54guest returning, I believe dr. Laura, this is your third or
- 5:58fourth appearance overall, on the podcast.
- 6:01So it's a pleasure to have you here with me on this birthday
- 6:04interview. Well, I'm always thrilled to
- 6:07join you especially on your birthday.
- 6:09I consider it a privilege. So thanks for having me.
- 6:13It's awesome. How God has just been working
- 6:16things together for the good of those who are called according
- 6:19to his will and purpose. And we were just talking before
- 6:22this recording a little bit and before prayer, and the topic
- 6:26that we're going to be discussing today, is, is timely
- 6:30and it's important. I believe it's totally got
- 6:33inspired. And this is going to be one for
- 6:37the records because what God is doing today is a little bit
- 6:42different than what he's been doing in previous Seasons.
- 6:45So we're going to be discussing walking in obedience to the Lord
- 6:52walking in the fear of the Lord and how that can lead to slaying
- 6:57Giants. Why don't you kind of warm us up
- 7:01and start us off with everything that God has put on your heart
- 7:05for this amazing episode. Well yes just as you say we're
- 7:11going to talk about the fear of the Lord and you know where that
- 7:14leads us and how it gives us courage to slay Giants.
- 7:17And you know as we were talking before we got on just I'm so
- 7:23excited about speaking about the fear of the Lord.
- 7:26It's one of my most favorite topics because it is made such
- 7:31an impact in my own life. Once I learned how To walk in
- 7:35the fear of the Lord, and not the fear of man.
- 7:38And so I'm so excited to be able to share, just the things that
- 7:43Lord has placed on my heart to speak on this topic.
- 7:45So I thought a good place to start is really just trying to
- 7:50understand what is it mean to walk in the fear of the Lord?
- 7:54And, you know, looking at the Hebrew word for fear is a great
- 7:59place to start and so that's the the Hebrew word is Yara.
- 8:03Now it has this Wide range of meanings and scripture.
- 8:07So, you know, it can refer to that feeling we have of
- 8:10anticipation of danger or pain, but it can also mean all
- 8:15irreverence like when we're in Wonder or astonishment or
- 8:18amazement. And when I think about the fear
- 8:20of the Lord, you know, it's this gratitude and admiration for the
- 8:24mysterious ways of the Lord and it's kind of like I don't know
- 8:28if you've ever been to the Grand Canyon but I have and when you
- 8:30stand on the edge of the Grand Canyon and you gaze at the Under
- 8:35of it. That's what the fear of the Lord
- 8:37is like, it's it's having that overwhelming sense of God's
- 8:42glory and his magnificence and so much so that, you know, you
- 8:46just want to rupt in worship. And so that's what we're going
- 8:49to dive into today and you know, to think more about this Hebrew
- 8:54word, you are a. So the Jewish classical sages,
- 8:58they actually defined this word for fear in three different ways
- 9:02so you can kind of think of them like Like three different levels
- 9:06of fear. The lowest level of fear is
- 9:09really the common understanding of what fear is and that is fear
- 9:13of unpleasant consequences or punishment.
- 9:17And that's, you know, when we anticipate pain of some kind and
- 9:20that triggers, you know, the fight or flight response.
- 9:23Well, this level of fear can also be associated with the fear
- 9:26of, man. So, being afraid of or worried
- 9:29about what other people might think of you, Then the next
- 9:33layout level of fear is when we have fear or anxiety over
- 9:38breaking God's law and so that fear, it motivates us to do good
- 9:43deeds because we don't want to be punished, but the highest
- 9:46level of fear is a profound reverence, for life that comes
- 9:51from rightly seen. And I love that definition
- 9:55because what some of these sages were doing is they were pairing
- 9:58the word fear with seeing and that's because When we operate
- 10:03in this level of fear, we actually discern the presence of
- 10:06God in all things. You know, we can see his
- 10:09workmanship in everything around us and that's what it means to
- 10:14walk in the fear of the Lord. Now, in the English language, we
- 10:17really only have two primary definitions for fear.
- 10:21The first one being, you know, that feeling of anxiety and
- 10:24agitation when we're in the presence of danger evil or pain
- 10:29and that triggers, you know, this these feelings.
- 10:32As of timidity of dread Terror fright apprehension and that can
- 10:37be Associated again with the fear of man.
- 10:41The other definition is this respectful dread or are or
- 10:45reverence? And again, that's associated
- 10:47with the fear of the Lord. So those are just some of your
- 10:50basic definitions of fear and what does it mean to fear the
- 10:57lord? Now I thought it would be
- 10:59helpful if we actually look at two different.
- 11:02Kingdom. So we look at Sol's Kingdom.
- 11:04And we look at David's Kingdom to contrast the fear of the
- 11:08Lord, because it's interesting, you know, as I've shared on the
- 11:11fear of the Lord with different audiences, I find that there's a
- 11:16lot of Christians who just don't understand what it means to walk
- 11:20in the fear of the Lord. And it's, you know, confusing,
- 11:23like, why would we want to fear a loving father?
- 11:25Is he really mean? Like people, some people say he
- 11:28is and that's not at all. What the fear of the Lord.
- 11:32Is. So that's why I thought it's
- 11:34helpful for us to kind of start with some definitions.
- 11:38Absolutely. And that's so important and just
- 11:40a real quick, what my mind was doing is a lot of the times
- 11:45people will relate their Earthly relationship with their father
- 11:50or Dad here with what God is like in heaven.
- 11:53So when there's trauma in childhood or just bad
- 11:56relationship, a lot of times people feel like God's going to
- 12:00squash them like a bug when they hear about.
- 12:02Because they may reflect and say yeah, I've done all these things
- 12:05wrong and they have a really bad approach to who God really is.
- 12:09So the clarity on what fear is in the Lord is so important.
- 12:13Now, what can you tell us about the difference between Saul's
- 12:16Kingdom vs, David's Kingdom? Well, so Saul's Kingdom
- 12:20represents the fear of man. And what's interesting?
- 12:23You know before saw was appointed King, Israel was a
- 12:27theocracy so they were governed by judges but the Elders of
- 12:32Israel got to this point where they were no longer satisfied
- 12:36with a theocracy and they wanted a king.
- 12:38And we read about this in first Samuel 8 verse 5.
- 12:41It says they said to him being Samuel, you are old, and your
- 12:46son's do not walk in your ways. Now, appoint a king to lead us
- 12:49such as all the other nations have.
- 12:52So it's interesting here, the Elders of Israel, you know,
- 12:55they're trying to justify their desire for a king by blaming.
- 13:00You know, the wickedness of Sons as far as the reason why they
- 13:05need to move away from being governed by judges but really
- 13:09that their heart motivation is exposed and verse 20, where it
- 13:13says then we will then we will be like all the other nations
- 13:17with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our
- 13:20battles. So, here we see, you know, they
- 13:23no longer trusted the Lord to protect them and to give them
- 13:26victory over their enemies. So they were walking under this
- 13:30fear of, man because they wanted Had to be like all the other
- 13:33nations. You know, how often do we do
- 13:36that? We want to be just like everyone
- 13:38else. Well, so the Israelites, you
- 13:40know, they rejected God as their King because fear of man gripped
- 13:45their hearts and this setup, you know, Saul being appointed as
- 13:51Israel's first king. Now, what's interesting is that
- 13:54salt comes from a very questionable bloodline.
- 13:58I'll say, and let me read 1st Samuel, 9 verses 1 through 2.
- 14:04And it says, There is a man of Benjamin whose name was Kish.
- 14:08The son of a bi eldest son of zeror, the son of Becker at the
- 14:12son of alphaeus, a benjamite, a mighty man of power and he had a
- 14:17choice in handsome, son whose name was Saul.
- 14:20There is not a more handsome person than he among the
- 14:23children of Israel from his shoulders upward.
- 14:26He was taller than any of the people.
- 14:29So there's two things to note from this passage.
- 14:31First of all saw his father, Kish was sidered a mighty man
- 14:36which is Gabor in Hebrew and I'll come back to that in a
- 14:39moment. The second thing is that Saul
- 14:42was Head and Shoulders taller than everyone else.
- 14:47So this Hebrew word gibor, it means Mighty strong Valiant,
- 14:54giant Tyrant Chief impetuous Soldier, or Hunter.
- 14:58And it comes from a Hebrew root word gabbar, which means, you
- 15:02know, to be strong to prevail. Show oneself, Mighty even to act
- 15:07proudly towards God. And the first mention of Gabor,
- 15:12you know, as your listeners probably know is in Genesis 6:4,
- 15:16now I go into much greater detail in my book.
- 15:18I have a whole chapter on the Gabor but essentially you know
- 15:22the first mention like I said is in Genesis 6:4 and referencing
- 15:27the Nephilim. Now, what's important to keep in
- 15:30mind though is not every time in Scripture that the word gibor is
- 15:33used, is it. Sensing the hybrid race of
- 15:36giants. So we have to look at the
- 15:38context of scripture to discern whether or not it is.
- 15:43And I think you'll see as I lay out, you know, Saul's life and
- 15:47dive deeper into these things will see that within cells, DNA
- 15:52was this jet genetic mutation for the hybrids.
- 15:56Now, why on Earth would God? Choose as Israel's?
- 16:00First king? A man with Nephilim genes and
- 16:04when we think about it, God is Almighty, he's all-powerful,
- 16:07he's all-knowing, but he's not all controlling, and you know,
- 16:12in his abounding love for us at the point of creation, he gave
- 16:16us Free Will and that's because the father, you know, he wasn't
- 16:20interested in a race of automatic guns.
- 16:22He wanted a race of beings that were free to choose whether or
- 16:26not we love him and whether we want to follow in his ways.
- 16:29Now we know Free Will is risky because you know it can mean
- 16:34that there's Disappointment, there's pain, there's Rebellion,
- 16:37there's abandonment. But for the father, you know, it
- 16:40was a risk worth taking. And then as we see in Saul's
- 16:45life, you know, we see that he was inclined towards
- 16:48Disobedience and pride and even showing favorite to his fellow
- 16:52Gabor. Now there's two instances and
- 16:56Saul's life where we can clearly see that he walked in the fear
- 17:00of man. And the first time is when he
- 17:03faced the Philistines for the Very his very first battle and
- 17:07I'll read this. This is from first Samuel 13,
- 17:10verses 5 through 14. It says the Philistines
- 17:14assembled to fight Israel with three thousand chariots 6,000
- 17:18charioteers and soldiers. As numerous as the sand on the
- 17:21seashore, they went up and camped at michmash East of Beth
- 17:25Haven. When the Israelites saw that
- 17:28their situation was critical and that their army was hard
- 17:30pressed. They hid in caves and thickets
- 17:33among the rocks and then pits and cisterns some Hebrews.
- 17:37Even cross the Jordan to the land of GAD and Gilead.
- 17:41Now, I'll come back back to that in a moment because that's
- 17:43significant Saul remained at gilgal and all the troops with
- 17:48him were quaking with fear. He waited seven days the time,
- 17:52set by Samuel but Samuel did not come to gilgal and Saul's men
- 17:56began to scatter. So he said bring me the burnt
- 17:59offering in the fellowship offerings and saw offered up the
- 18:02burnt offering just as he finished making the offering
- 18:06Samuel arrived and saw went out to greet him.
- 18:09What have you done as Samuel Saul replied when I saw that?
- 18:13The men were scattering and that you did not come at the set time
- 18:16and that the Philistines were assembling at michmash.
- 18:19I thought now the Philistines will come down against me at
- 18:22gilgal and I'll I will have not sought the Lord's favor so I
- 18:26felt compelled to offer the burnt offering.
- 18:29You have done a foolish thing. Samuel said you have not kept
- 18:33the command your lord, the Lord, your God gave you.
- 18:36If you had, he would have established your kingdom.
- 18:39For Israel for all time, but now your kingdom will not endure.
- 18:44The Lord has sought out a man after his own heart, and
- 18:48appointed, him ruler of his people, because you have not
- 18:52kept the Lord's command. So In this passage, you know, we
- 18:56see that saw, he was afraid to lose his army because they were
- 19:00beginning to scatter while waiting for Samuel.
- 19:03So Saul took matters into his own hands.
- 19:06He was more concerned what people thought of his Leadership
- 19:10than obeying. The Lord.
- 19:12And this is an example of how he walked in the fear of man, but
- 19:16his troops also. Did you know?
- 19:18It says that, you know, his troops were quaking in fear and
- 19:22then some of them even retreated to the east back Crossing back
- 19:27over the Jordan. And I want to take a moment
- 19:30actually to consider the significance of this because you
- 19:33know, what is it? What is crossing, the Jordan
- 19:36represent? And in order to understand that
- 19:39if We go back to the first time, it's mentioned in Scripture.
- 19:42It gives us some understanding it's in Genesis 13 verses 10
- 19:46through 11, it says lot looked up and saw that the whole plain
- 19:50of the Jordan was well watered like the garden of the Lord,
- 19:54like the land of Egypt towards or this was before the Lord
- 19:57destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, so lot, chose for himself.
- 20:01The whole plain of the Jordan and set out toward the east.
- 20:05Okay, so here you have a lot, goes to the east of the Jordan,
- 20:09Abraham goes to the west of the Jordan.
- 20:12Now, east of the Jordan is later where the half tribes of
- 20:16Manasseh and Ephraim, and then also Gad would settle in that
- 20:20land. Well, Abraham, he's, he goes to
- 20:24the place near Bethel were earlier in his life.
- 20:27He had heard from the Lord and when he was there, this is what
- 20:30the Lord said. This is Genesis 13, verses 14,
- 20:34through 17, it Says lift up your eyes from where you are, and
- 20:38look, north and south east, and west, all the land that you see,
- 20:42I will give to you and your Offspring forever.
- 20:45I will make your Offspring like the dust of the earth.
- 20:48So that if anyone could count the dust, then your Offspring
- 20:51could be counted. Go walk through the length and
- 20:54breadth of the land for, I am giving it to you.
- 20:57So essentially this was the promised land that Abraham was
- 21:02He was given this promise and then later of course you know,
- 21:05when Joshua was leading the Israelites into the promised
- 21:08land in order to obtain their inheritance, they had to cross
- 21:12the Jordan, so crossing the Jordan represents possessing our
- 21:16inheritance. Now, what's interesting is, you
- 21:19know, you think about lot and he represents the Flesh and walking
- 21:23in the fear of, man, Abraham represents the spirit and
- 21:26walking in the fear of the Lord. Well, so when Saul's men were
- 21:32Filled and gripped with fear of man, it cause them to retreat
- 21:36from the land of promise, which was given to Abraham and his
- 21:42descendants and it caused them to cross back over the Jordan,
- 21:45into the land of the East where lot was given.
- 21:49And that's where kind of that fear of, man, was established in
- 21:53that land. And so, What we can gather from
- 21:57this is when we operate in the fear of, man, we actually step
- 22:01outside of that place of promise, and we can lose the
- 22:05inheritance that God has given us.
- 22:06Now, another example of Saw walking in the fear of man is
- 22:12when we examine how he treated the Gabor and this gets really
- 22:15interesting. So for Samuel 1452 says, now
- 22:19there was a fierce war with the Philistines, all the days of
- 22:23Saul and when You saw any strong men or any Valiant man, which is
- 22:29the word gibor, he took him for himself.
- 22:33So instead of Saul killing the Gabor and battle, he actually
- 22:36took them in, he collected them so to speak.
- 22:39And when you look at the Hebrew word for that phrase, he took
- 22:43him for himself. It's the Primitive root word, a
- 22:47cough, and it means to gather receive collect and Assemble.
- 22:53And so we see here that solves Behavior towards the Gabor
- 22:56actually demonstrates this Fascination that he had with
- 22:59them. He actually had an affinity for
- 23:01them and this led to his downfall.
- 23:04So God commanded salt to Haram or completely destroy the
- 23:08amalekites. And this is in 1st, Samuel 15
- 23:12verses 2 through 3. It says, this is what the Lord
- 23:16Almighty says. I will punish the amalekites for
- 23:19what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they Came
- 23:23up from Egypt now, go attack the amalekites and totally destroy
- 23:28all that belongs to them. Do not spare them.
- 23:31Put to death men and women children and infants, cattle and
- 23:36sheep camels and donkeys. Now, I don't know about you, but
- 23:40I have always struggled with passages like this.
- 23:43You know, I have a gift of mercy and so I feel people's pain and
- 23:48I'm always drawn to those who are in despair or distraught.
- 23:53Well, I hate the fact that the children and infants had to die
- 23:57in this circumstance. I'm like, what in the world did
- 23:59they do? Why did they have to die?
- 24:02And it wasn't until I understood this principle of Haram that it
- 24:07made sense to me. So, when God, well, first of all
- 24:11the Hebrew word haram, it means to completely destroy
- 24:15exterminate and to devote for Destruction.
- 24:19And so it's a term that denotes yahweh's absolute disdain.
- 24:22For particular acts of sin, especially the mixing of
- 24:27species. So when the hybrid race is being
- 24:29spread, so when God commanded Haram, he was calling for
- 24:33punishment by total Annihilation because they were spreading the
- 24:38hybrid race now, who are the amalekites?
- 24:42The amalekites were these vicious plunderers, and they
- 24:45were actually Israel's first enemy when they left Egypt.
- 24:50So it happened if you remember, you know, the Egyptians handed.
- 24:53Their wealth to the Israelites well that plunder caught the eye
- 24:56of the amalekites and they wanted it for themselves so they
- 25:00develop this strategy of attacking the back of the
- 25:04Caravan. So those who straps towards the
- 25:07back? That would be, you know, the
- 25:09frail, the weak, the sick, the elderly nursing mothers
- 25:12children, they were easier prey for the amalekites and so they
- 25:17would attack and kill them. Well when you look at the the
- 25:21bloodline for the Amalekites and again, I go into this in my book
- 25:25but it's really interesting how these pieces connect.
- 25:28So amalek was the grandson of Esau and Esau is son.
- 25:34He had a son named Aaliyah, Faz in illya, Faz had a whore, a
- 25:38concubine name timna. So, Tim Nabor Ilya phases son,
- 25:42and they named him amalek. Now, the name itself amalek
- 25:46means bloodthirsty, as in someone who devours something.
- 25:51And licks up the blood And so what we have here is a Malak,
- 25:57you know, with his mother being horite.
- 26:01And the Hornets are mentioned in Genesis, 14 among a list of
- 26:05tribes of giants, but it's not thought that they themselves
- 26:08were a tribe of giants, but more that they intermingled with the
- 26:11Giants. So they, you know, they were
- 26:12spreading the hybrid race. So it's likely that amalek had
- 26:16the Nephilim genes within am. Now one thing we do know for
- 26:19sure is that amalek in inherited the extreme hatred that Esau had
- 26:25toward Jacob. So, you know, The Strife between
- 26:29Esau's descendants and Jacobs descendants intensified
- 26:33throughout the generations causing the amalekites to be one
- 26:37of Israel's worst enemies. Now given all that it's
- 26:42reasonable to conclude. The reason why the amalekites
- 26:45were so detestable to the Lord is because not only were they
- 26:49merciless in their attack of this.
- 26:51Burgeoning nation of Israel, coming out of Egypt, but they
- 26:55practiced interbreeding. They were spreading the hybrid
- 26:58race and that's why I Commanded Saul to Haram the amalekites,
- 27:04but he failed to do that. So during Saul's day, a gag was
- 27:09King of the amalekites and because saw walked in the fear
- 27:14of man, you know, he gave in to the whims of his fancy and he
- 27:18preserves King a gags life. And what's interesting is
- 27:21Josephus, you know, one of the the famous Jewish historians.
- 27:25He writes this about why Saul did that he says.
- 27:29So also took A gag. The enemies King captive.
- 27:33The beauty and tallness of whose body, he admired so much that he
- 27:37thought am worthy of preservation giving way to human
- 27:41passions. He preferred the fine appearance
- 27:44of the enemy to the memory of what God had sent him about.
- 27:48So a God was most likely this giant and by Saul preserving
- 27:52someone with a defiled genome what he was doing on, not in
- 27:57that particular Battle of the seed war is he was In the enemy
- 28:01of Victory because Saul chose to align with the seat of Satan.
- 28:07And then later solve confesses his fear of man in first Samuel
- 28:1015 24. He says, then Saul said to
- 28:13Samuel, I have sinned, I have violated the Lord's command and
- 28:18your instructions. I was afraid of the men and so I
- 28:21gave in to them. Well, this is precisely why I
- 28:25saw a lost his kingship, You Know, Not only was he stripped
- 28:29of being King, but No descendant of salt ever became king.
- 28:34So he lost the dynastic quality of his monarchy and this just
- 28:39emphasizes. When We Fear, man, we lose part
- 28:43of our inheritance. That there's so much there.
- 28:48Wow. So what I find interesting is
- 28:53when you were talking about when Saul had the fear of the man and
- 28:58then God gives him this judgment, that he lost the
- 29:01kingdom. He could have had this
- 29:03established Kingdom that could have continued on and then it
- 29:07makes me think of his son. Jonathan, you know we see
- 29:10Jonathan and and just to look ahead a little bit Jonathan
- 29:15feared, the Lord to the point that he's older than David more
- 29:19experience. When David's, young boy,
- 29:21Jonathan is out. Conquering the enemies, you
- 29:24know, him and his shield Bearer, just wiping them out and relying
- 29:28on, God, it reminds me of Philippians 4:6.
- 29:32Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and
- 29:35supplication with Thanksgiving, let your requests be made known
- 29:38to God. Jonathan says, I forget the
- 29:40verse, but something along the lines to a shield Bearer if God
- 29:43is with us, We're going to jump out here and kill 20 of these
- 29:47enemies but Jonathan hands his position as as far as he knew
- 29:54and inherit an inheritor of the Kingdom being Saul son to David
- 30:00in humility. And you see the fear of the Lord
- 30:03and Jonathan, but everything that's all did.
- 30:08Loving the tallness, this stature of, you know, this
- 30:13wicked bloodline that he was to Haram to utterly destroy to wipe
- 30:17them out. Clearly, this is a very
- 30:22important biblical insight into what it looks like to fear, Man
- 30:28versus fearing the Lord. And and I know you have to have
- 30:31some more gems to share on this and this is, this is so
- 30:34exciting, it's so exciting. Yeah, I love that.
- 30:37Bring up Jonathan because I'm going to share in a few minutes
- 30:42about Michal Saul's daughter and yeah, you know, Jonathan is an
- 30:47example of overcoming generational iniquity.
- 30:52Because he didn't walk in the fear of man, but we'll see that
- 30:55Michael walked in the fear of man.
- 30:58Just like her father did. And so I appreciate that you
- 31:01brought up Jonathan because it gives us encouragement that no
- 31:05matter what's in our generational line.
- 31:07You know, the curses that exist there, that generational
- 31:10iniquity. We can cut that off.
- 31:13And and so that it no longer flows forward in our
- 31:18generations. And that's what Jonathan did and
- 31:21precisely. What your Pointing out is
- 31:23because he walked in the fear of the Lord.
- 31:25So I want to share about David because David's kingdom is this
- 31:30representation of the fear of the Lord.
- 31:32And, you know, there's two distinct instances where we
- 31:36clearly see that David walked in the fear of the Lord.
- 31:38The first one is when he faced Goliath yesso Goliath, you know,
- 31:44guy accused fear and intimidation to paralyze the
- 31:46armies of Israel for forty days. You know, he is spewing these
- 31:51insults Israel and for 40 days, the armies of Saul you know go
- 31:56up to the battle line and they do absolutely nothing.
- 32:01But when David walked onto the scene, he shifted the atmosphere
- 32:05and I love that because that's what we can do, we can shift the
- 32:08atmosphere, no matter where we go.
- 32:11So you know, David was sent on this errand by his father and he
- 32:15was to bring Provisions to his brothers because his brothers
- 32:18were part of Saul's army, they were the ones on the battle line
- 32:22doing Absolutely nothing. Well, here's the shepherd boy.
- 32:27You know, he was tried and tested on the fields while
- 32:30protecting the sheep and he had spent his days.
- 32:33Developing this intimate relationship with the Lord.
- 32:37And because of that, the intimacy that he had, it gave
- 32:41him the confidence and the courage to fight The Lion and
- 32:44the bear when they were attacking the Sheep.
- 32:47So here David is. Now on the scene, he's hearing
- 32:50these insults that Goliath Spewing and he's indignant.
- 32:55He's also perplexed at the lack of courage in Saul's fighting
- 32:59men. See David had not given himself
- 33:02over to the fear of, man. He had developed a relationship
- 33:06with the god of Israel. Now, one thing that's
- 33:09interesting too, is that Goliath's name means Splendor
- 33:14and it comes from a Hebrew root word Galah, which means to
- 33:18expose to uncover to remove to be Closed and to depart and I
- 33:24think that's interesting because it really was a prophetic name
- 33:28that he carried because he was exposed, he was uncovered
- 33:32removed, and he was departed from the earth because of
- 33:36David's, courage, and listen to what David said.
- 33:38This is one of my favorite passages.
- 33:40It's in first, Samuel 17, verse 45 through, 47 David said, to
- 33:46the Philistine you come against me with sword and Spear and
- 33:50Javelin, but I come against you. And then Name of the Lord
- 33:53Almighty, the god of the armies of Israel.
- 33:55Whom you have defied this day, the Lord will deliver you into
- 34:00my hands and I'll strike you down and cut off your head.
- 34:03This very day, I will give the carcasses of the Philistine Army
- 34:07to the birds in the wild animals and the whole world will know
- 34:11that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will
- 34:15know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves for
- 34:19the battle is the Lord's and he will give all of you into To our
- 34:22hands. And I love that, that is such a
- 34:25declaration of confidence and it's because, you know, the fear
- 34:29of the Lord enabled, David to see a different reality than
- 34:32everyone else that was vexed by the fear of, man.
- 34:37So, the fear of the Lord allowed David to step into his
- 34:40inheritance as a great warrior because later, you know, he'd
- 34:43be, he'd be known as slaying 10,000.
- 34:48So, David's fear of the Lord allowed him to have this
- 34:50Fearless attitude towards Goliath, you know, here's this
- 34:538-foot 8-inch Giant and David's, you know, a young teenager, he
- 34:58doesn't care who he's up against because he knew who he was in
- 35:03the Lord. His confidence came from the
- 35:05assurance that the Ancient of Days had as back.
- 35:09And I absolutely love that talk about slaying Giants.
- 35:13So that's what we can do when we walk in the fear of the Lord, it
- 35:17doesn't matter how intimidating the giant is that we're facing
- 35:21in our lives. We have the Ancient of Days on
- 35:25our back, you know, ready to be there and to conquer.
- 35:30And so another instance of David walking in the fear of the Lord
- 35:35is found in his worship. Now, David abandon himself
- 35:40before the Lord, and worship. And we read this in second,
- 35:44Samuel 6 and all read verse 14 and then 20 through 23 since
- 35:49David wearing a linen, ephod dance, Just before the Lord with
- 35:53all his might, when David returned home to bless his
- 35:56household Michal daughter of Saul came out to meet him and
- 36:00said how the king of Israel has distinguished himself today.
- 36:04Disrobing in the sight of the slave girls of his servants as
- 36:07any vulgar fellow would David said to Michael, it was before
- 36:12the Lord who chose me rather than your father or anyone from
- 36:16his house. When he appointed me ruler over
- 36:18the Lord's People, Israel, I will celebrate Before the Lord,
- 36:23I will become even more in dignified than this.
- 36:26And I will be humiliated in my own eyes, but by these slave
- 36:30girls, you spoke of I will be held in honor and Michal
- 36:34daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
- 36:38So here we see that, you know, Michael is operating in the fear
- 36:41of man just like her. Father did she was more
- 36:44concerned about what other people would think, then by
- 36:48obeying the Lord and, you know, this led to to the fact that she
- 36:54lost her inheritance, you know, she walked in this generational
- 36:58iniquity, she didn't break it like Jonathan did.
- 37:02So she walked under that fear of man and that caused her to
- 37:06remain. Barren the rest of her days.
- 37:09But here, we see David, you know, walking in the fear of the
- 37:12Lord and it allowed him to Lavish the Lord, with this
- 37:16extravagant worship. And in return, the Lord
- 37:20enlarged, his inheritance. Beyond what David can imagine
- 37:24and we read this in second Samuel 7 verse 9 and 16.
- 37:29It says I have been with you wherever you have gone and I've
- 37:33cut off all your enemies from before you.
- 37:36Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest
- 37:39men of the earth, your house and your kingdom will endure forever
- 37:44before me, your throne will be established forever.
- 37:48So here we see, you know, these two kingdoms Saul gave in to the
- 37:53fear of, man and no one from his bloodline ever became king.
- 37:59But David walked in the fear of the Lord and the king of kings
- 38:02came from his bloodline, that is a wow.
- 38:09So even if Saul had done, right and kept the in and establish
- 38:15this Kingdom, Jonathan still would have obeyed the Lord, and
- 38:18it would have came to David, like just remembering because,
- 38:23oh my gosh. So, David his heart as after
- 38:28God, all of this stuff is going on and he is emptying himself
- 38:32and worship. So God had him in mind.
- 38:36Regardless of what everybody else was seeing.
- 38:41And I love the fact that you you're bringing up where David
- 38:45goes and makes the Declaration to Goliath.
- 38:48Yeah, that's me and my son's favorite Bible book to read
- 38:52together and he kind of reacts. Re-enacts that seeing between
- 38:57David and Goliath sometimes I think he treats me like I'm
- 39:00Goliath and he runs over and hits you don't like oh no yeah
- 39:04it is just so cool and the confidence David picks up five
- 39:08smooth Stones when he crosses over the brook the fear of the
- 39:13Lord builds this this confidence.
- 39:16It's there's prophecy. What David says to Goliath
- 39:20happens to a tee? So he's prophesying to him
- 39:22saying. Listen, this is what is going to
- 39:24happen this day. He up and Goliath supposedly has
- 39:28four brothers. According to, I believe some
- 39:30extra biblical documentation or forget what the sources are.
- 39:33But I'm pretty sure I think it's in the Bible as well.
- 39:37Is it in the Bible as well? I should have pinpointed that
- 39:40for this discussion but it's there for the audience, you guys
- 39:45investigate Beyond just this conversation.
- 39:47There's so many gems that dr. Laura sanger's.
- 39:50Pulling out for us in. The word of God that's just
- 39:54never ending but the confidence that David had.
- 39:58Yeah. Yeah.
- 39:59Everybody else is scared and like you said, he's a young
- 40:02teenager and The Lion and the bear, he builds this
- 40:06relationship with God, where God has protected him against these
- 40:10smaller enemies and the confidence was building up and I
- 40:14just love the story of David because when he warships, he
- 40:18empties himself, he is not worried about what other people
- 40:21are seeing. Around him.
- 40:23There is power and life in the word of God.
- 40:26I'm terribly excited for this for this conversation, just just
- 40:30right now. I it's just filled up.
- 40:35I feel full like I've eaten, I haven't eaten yet today.
- 40:38But here I am feeling like excited and full of energy and
- 40:41just this is good. Yeah and I think you know, one
- 40:46of the things for me in my life. I've walked for years and years
- 40:52under fear of man. And when the Lord broke me of
- 40:56that and I began understanding, what does it mean to walk in the
- 41:00fear of the Lord? It just, there's nothing like
- 41:05it. It's like you It's like you come
- 41:10into this realization of how magnificent God is, and it
- 41:14doesn't matter what other people think of you.
- 41:18We only have an audience of one, you know, when we walk in the
- 41:21fear of the Lord. And so one of the things I
- 41:23wanted to do is just lay out some characteristics of the fear
- 41:27of, man versus the characteristics of the fear of
- 41:31the Lord, so that each one of us can honestly take You know, a
- 41:36look at where do we fall? Are we walking under fear of,
- 41:40man, are we walking in the fear of the Lord?
- 41:42So characteristics of people who walk in the fear of man?
- 41:46Generally you know they try and please others.
- 41:50They want to enable others as well.
- 41:53And they typically will avoid conflict, you know, they give
- 41:57into an intimidation because typically they're timid or their
- 42:01codependent or insecure and also oftentimes they're influenced by
- 42:06peer pressure, you know, they just want to do what everyone
- 42:09else is doing, they don't want to stand out, they don't want to
- 42:11be different sometimes, even they can have social phobias.
- 42:16You know, being around crowds of people is difficult for them
- 42:19because, you know, they're fearful of what other people
- 42:22might be thinking or saying about them.
- 42:25Also, people who walk in the fear of man will act foolishly,
- 42:29they'll follow the advice of others rather than walking in
- 42:32obedience to the Lord. And typically they want to avoid
- 42:36accountability. They don't want to hear, you
- 42:39know, difficult things about their personality or what they
- 42:42need to change and most often they're plagued by doubt.
- 42:46You know, self-doubt doubt in the goodness of God.
- 42:50You know, they struggle and walking in faith and doubt just
- 42:53takes over now characteristics of the fear of the Lord.
- 42:57You know, these are people who desire to please God, just like
- 43:00I was saying, you know, we have an audience of one and all we're
- 43:03after is Pleasing the Lord and it doesn't matter what other
- 43:07people think, or say about us in relationships were like iron
- 43:11sharpening iron. So we're not afraid to say the
- 43:14difficult thing in love and we Embrace healthy conflict because
- 43:19you know, we're confident and who we are in the Lord, we're
- 43:23able to face, intimidation head-on, we're bold, we're able
- 43:27to set those healthy boundaries because once again we're secure
- 43:30in our identity of who God has made us to be.
- 43:34Then biblical truths shape, our decisions, not what everyone
- 43:39else is doing, not what peer pressure or the world suggests
- 43:43but biblical truths will shape our decisions and we're okay.
- 43:47Going against the flow, we're okay standing out and being
- 43:49different because we know that we're walking in obedience and
- 43:54that allows us to be comfortable, you know, no matter
- 43:56what the size of the crowd, it doesn't matter.
- 43:59It doesn't matter what people think it doesn't matter what we
- 44:01look like. It doesn't matter.
- 44:02What people are saying about us, And oftentimes we walk in wisdom
- 44:07because we're following the voice of the Lord and not the
- 44:10voice of others and we welcome accountability because we
- 44:15recognized that when people show us things about ourselves, that
- 44:19we ourselves can't see that are, you know, weaknesses or areas of
- 44:23sin, then it allows us to deal with it and we become better.
- 44:27It's like we move from glory to glory, and so people who walk in
- 44:31the fear of the Lord, welcome accountability and then we Walk
- 44:35by faith and not by sight. So those are some of the
- 44:39differences in characteristics. And you know as we think about
- 44:42how God gave David Promises of this incredible inheritance.
- 44:46You know, when he walked in the fear of the Lord, well we see
- 44:50through scripture that the Lord gives us promises for those who
- 44:54walk in the fear of the Lord. And I've actually I've put
- 44:56together 22 different promises from scripture of those who walk
- 45:02in the fear of the Lord and I can And send that to you.
- 45:05I don't know if it's possible to include it in your show notes or
- 45:08what. But it's so powerful to read
- 45:12these promises and I'll just read three of them.
- 45:15So One Promise is generational blessing and this comes from
- 45:20Psalm 112 verses 1 through 2 it says praise the Lord.
- 45:24Blessed is the man who fears the Lord who finds great Delight in
- 45:28his commands, his children will be Mighty in the land.
- 45:32The generation of the upright will be blessed.
- 45:34First. And then we also have promises
- 45:36of Deliverance which we see from Psalm. 34:7, it says, the angel
- 45:40of the Lord encamps around those, who fear Him and he
- 45:44delivers them and there were promised wisdom.
- 45:48Proverbs, 9:10 says, the fear of the Lord, is the beginning of
- 45:52wisdom. And so, you know what we see is
- 45:55when we walk in the fear of the Lord, when we live our lives in
- 45:58that way, it changes everything about our perspective.
- 46:02And I want to read to you a quote, it's John Parsons He has
- 46:06a website called Hebrew for Christians and he writes when we
- 46:10really see life as it truly is, we will be filled with wonder
- 46:15and awe over the glory of it. All every Bush will be a flame
- 46:19with the presence of God and the ground we walk upon shall
- 46:22suddenly /, be perceived as holy, nothing.
- 46:26Will seem small trivial or insignificant in this sense,
- 46:30fear and trembling before the Lord is a description of the
- 46:33inner awareness. This of the sanctity of life
- 46:36itself and I love that. And, you know, those who walk in
- 46:40the fear of the Lord, we take seriously his Commandments and
- 46:44one of those Commandments is to rest.
- 46:49Wow, that is a powerful quote and what a difference between
- 46:55fear of man in the fear of the Lord.
- 46:57And and this is something I find interesting about the repenting
- 47:01to have a change of mind. So There's characteristics, I've
- 47:06noticed, like, in my younger life that I would, I was
- 47:09equation is just going with the flow, whatever the culture was.
- 47:12I didn't really know where I belonged in Life, or what I was
- 47:17going to do. But, you know, series of events,
- 47:20my near-death and counter and, and some other things that
- 47:23happened in my personal life. It opened my eyes.
- 47:27To the point of God, I've never even inquired of you.
- 47:31I don't know who you are. I don't know how you work and it
- 47:34came from this place of wanting to see can understand, you know,
- 47:37really, really, I was worried about what actually is going to
- 47:40happen when I die. And it's funny that you say, you
- 47:43know, as we follow God we don't care what other people think,
- 47:46because kind of over the next couple years, it was long and
- 47:49drawn-out, but I just didn't care.
- 47:52If I looked foolish or if people would say, oh why are you not
- 47:56doing what you used to do? Used to be hip and cool or
- 47:59whatever. And now you're, you know,
- 48:02carrying around a Bible reading a Bible making, Stance where
- 48:05you're going to dive into these, these strange things within
- 48:09Christianity, to try to get a deeper understanding.
- 48:11And and for me, having this change of mind and changing my
- 48:16mind and learning as I go to take captive, my thoughts and
- 48:20obedience to Christ really. I personally have seen slowly
- 48:25not not incompletion by far. I still got a long way to go but
- 48:29converting some of these fear of man things, they'd just been
- 48:33dissipating as time goes on. And I Find myself just more
- 48:36infatuated with what God's truth is about us.
- 48:39So, please do send me those 22 promise quotes from that, that
- 48:44you have listed out there, they will be included in the show
- 48:47notes. Okay, no, this is so important.
- 48:50This place of rest that you're talking about because those who
- 48:54are walking with God and this wrestling match has been taking
- 48:58place with where they're calling is and identifying, you know,
- 49:03generational iniquity He's and, and we've covered this and
- 49:06previous episodes. So if anybody's listening for
- 49:09the first time we did Breaking strongholds iniquities.
- 49:12We did the episode of marriage your first time here.
- 49:15We discussed your book spiritual mapping and the Nephilim agenda
- 49:18and real quick. I just want to throw this out
- 49:21there. Dr. Laura has released the roots
- 49:25of the Federal Reserve on audio. So it's available inaudible and
- 49:31that's actually just went through it again recently.
- 49:34Which Which is so helpful being that, I battle with dyslexia.
- 49:39So sitting and reading sometimes is difficult.
- 49:41So for anybody out there, go and support, leave her a review on
- 49:45Audible order, the physical copy on Amazon, or anywhere else.
- 49:51It's available. But one of the one of the really
- 49:55cool things is that I'm hearing from listeners and just friends
- 49:59and family, who have been following this podcast.
- 50:02Many other great podcasts that are taking A stance they're not
- 50:06going with the culture. They're not bowing down to just
- 50:09all of these crooked and perverse systems.
- 50:11That seem to be bubbling up and over into our society.
- 50:14They are taking a stand and they are slowing down.
- 50:18So this place of rest is so important and timely also
- 50:23because a lot of us feel like I just need to spend some time
- 50:28with the Lord. I need to just rest in him.
- 50:31Yeah. But how do we do that without
- 50:33letting our guard? Down.
- 50:35How do we fight from that place? Please help me understand the
- 50:39audience. This is good.
- 50:41Yeah, well, I, you know, I think it's so important, like you're
- 50:44saying to learn how to rest because we are in the midst of
- 50:49an intense spiritual battle and we can get weary and worn out
- 50:55unless we learn how to rest and, you know, Sabbath is this gift
- 50:59that the Creator gave us. It prolongs our life, you know,
- 51:02gives us sanity and wholeness and Even in relationships, you
- 51:07know, it enriches our relationships and increases our
- 51:10fruitfulness, but Sabbath is not what we do.
- 51:15Once all our tasks are completed, rest is what we do in
- 51:20the middle of all our tasks and we rest without excuse and we
- 51:24rest without guilt, because God taught us how to rest from the
- 51:29very beginning. And this is Genesis 2 verse 23.
- 51:33It says by the The seventh day, God had finished the work.
- 51:37He had been doing so on the seventh day, he rested from all
- 51:40his work and God blessed the seventh day and made it holy
- 51:44because on it. He rested from all the work of
- 51:47creating that he had done. So in that passage, when you
- 51:51look at the Hebrew word, for rest is shevat and that's the
- 51:54root word for Sabbath. Well, it means to cease desist
- 51:59or rest to put an end to to exterminate to destroy and to
- 52:04remove You've and all of those describe voluntary rest, but it
- 52:09also means to cause to cease to cause to desist to cause to fail
- 52:15to make one rest and be still and to take away and that
- 52:20describes involuntary rest. And I'm going to come back to
- 52:22that in a moment. But when you, when you think
- 52:25about this definition of rest, you know, how can the same word
- 52:29for rest? Mean to destroy and exterminate,
- 52:32you know, how does that fit in with?
- 52:34With. Well, when we rest, we are
- 52:37actually also worrying. We're destroying the works of
- 52:41the enemy. We're putting an end to striving
- 52:44stress exhaustion, worry, self-sufficiency and pride, and
- 52:49God established, you know, the principle of rest as a
- 52:53commandment and Sabbath is the fourth Commandment.
- 52:56And this comes from Exodus 20 verse 8 through 11.
- 52:59It says remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy which that
- 53:04word for a Lead means to sanctify to consecrate, to set
- 53:07it apart, as sacred goes on to say six days.
- 53:11You shall labor and do all your work but the seventh day is a
- 53:15Sabbath day to the Lord your God on it.
- 53:18You shall not do any work. Neither you nor your son or
- 53:20daughter nor your male or female servant nor your animals nor any
- 53:25Foreigner residing in your towns for in six days, the Lord made
- 53:29the heavens and the Earth. The sea and all that is in them,
- 53:32but he rested on the seventh day.
- 53:35Therefore, the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it.
- 53:38Holy, So, In this passage, what we see is that, you know, this
- 53:42principle of Sabbath is not just for the children of God.
- 53:45It's for all of humanity, so it's for slave and free, it's
- 53:48for Jew and Gentile, but not only that, it's for all of
- 53:52creation animals need to rest, Les and needs to rest.
- 53:58Exodus 23 10 through 11, says, for six years, you were to so
- 54:02your fields and harvest the crops.
- 54:04But during the 7th Year, let the land lie, unplowed and unused.
- 54:11See the Lord took, very seriously, his commandment for
- 54:13the land to have rest. And if his children neglected
- 54:16it, he would drive them into captivity, Leviticus 26, 33
- 54:21through 35 says, I will scatter. You among the Nations and will
- 54:25draw out my sword and pursue you.
- 54:28Your land will be laid waste and your cities will lie in Ruins.
- 54:32Then the land will enjoy it. Sabbath years all the time that
- 54:36it lies desolate and you are in the country of your enemies.
- 54:40Then the land will rest and enjoy its Sabbath all the time
- 54:43that it lies desolate. The land will have the rest.
- 54:46It did not have during the Sabbath.
- 54:48She lived in it. Well it's interesting to realize
- 54:52is the whole reason Israel was driven into Babylonian captivity
- 54:58was because they failed to give the land the rest, second
- 55:02chronicles 36 2321 says he carried into exile to Babylon
- 55:06The Remnant who escaped from The Sword and they became servants
- 55:10to him and his successors until the kingdom of Persia came to
- 55:13power the land enjoyed its Sabbath rest all the time.
- 55:18If it's desolation a trusted and Till the 70 years were completed
- 55:22in the Fulfillment of the word of the Lord spoken by Jeremiah.
- 55:27So, here we see, you know, the Creator.
- 55:29He gives us the instruction manual for for all of creation
- 55:33and it says to rest. Well, if we don't follow this
- 55:37instruction, what happens is creation gradually falls apart.
- 55:41See rest is so vital that's why he established it as a
- 55:45commandment. And I want to read The Ten
- 55:47Commandments because I'll point out something interesting about
- 55:50Here it says you shall have no other gods before me.
- 55:54You shall not make Idols. You shall not take the name of
- 55:58the Lord, your God in vain. Remember the Sabbath day to keep
- 56:01it. Holy honor, your father and
- 56:03mother you shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery.
- 56:08You shall not steal. You shall not bear false.
- 56:10Witness against your neighbor. You shall not covet.
- 56:15So, in the first three Commandments, what we see is
- 56:17that were instructed on how to have a healthy relationship.
- 56:20Up with God. And then in the last six
- 56:23Commandments, we see how to have a healthy relationship with
- 56:26people in the fourth Commandment is that transition commandment
- 56:30and that shows us how important rest is.
- 56:33So when we enter into rest, not only are we drawing deeper in
- 56:38relationship with the Lord? But it also provides us with the
- 56:42refreshment that we need to love others.
- 56:47Wow. And I'm thinking as you were
- 56:49speaking, the scripture says be holy as I am Holy.
- 56:53And there's like, you say this refreshment and this rest is so
- 56:58necessary. And unfortunately, the way the
- 57:01general consensus is today is go, go go, right, right.
- 57:05And people will argue, oh, the Sabbath is actually Saturday or
- 57:08no, it's Sunday. No, son.
- 57:10Day comes from the sun, god worship, right?
- 57:12And there's all these confusing things, but the importance in
- 57:16the Ten, you just read to us, keeping the Sabbath day.
- 57:20Keep its holy, its separate, it set apart, and it is designed
- 57:26for our good and we know that there's consequences for not
- 57:29keeping that according to the verses you shared with us and
- 57:32and what God is saying. And that's so important.
- 57:37You know, when David is talking about in the Psalms God, you're
- 57:41my strong tower, I run to you in time of need and time of help.
- 57:46What God is Holy and if he's saying for us to be holy like he
- 57:50is Holy, this is just a connection.
- 57:51I'm just making as I'm thinking, I'm listening to you.
- 57:54And like, scriptures are coming to mind, like, reiterating what
- 57:57you're saying, just as beautiful.
- 57:59But when we run to God, We need to have the kind of fear of the
- 58:05Lord where we're in acknowledgement and obedience to
- 58:09what his law is for us. As his people, we should be holy
- 58:13as he is. Holy set apart, not following
- 58:16the way that the world is not just going with the flow and
- 58:19accepting whatever anybody says. And it's going to look bold.
- 58:22Sometimes we're going to be a little louder aggressive.
- 58:25But it's going to come from a place of like like a holy anger
- 58:28or righteousness. And all of this is so important.
- 58:35The only I'm not a big birthday guy.
- 58:37Like I don't celebrate too much or make a big deal out of my
- 58:39birthday, but the only reason I would want more in one year's to
- 58:42have a birthday Bible study with you larvae.
- 58:44Because this is, this is epic, this is so good.
- 58:48And this is what's accessible to all of us.
- 58:51If we just come in, humility a broken and contrite spirit.
- 58:55God does not reject you. You reminded us David emptied
- 58:58himself as he worshiped, the Lord, we can do this on.
- 59:03A daily basis, you guys a weekly basis, a monthly basis get
- 59:06plugged in with another strong, believer, for all of you
- 59:09listeners out there and get excited about the word of God.
- 59:13And this, I think about you like what we were saying earlier.
- 59:18How, you know, when you enter into rest, we actually can war
- 59:24from that place. And for me, when I discovered
- 59:28that reality, it transformed the spiritual Fair that I'm engaged
- 59:34in. And so you know like I mentioned
- 59:36earlier when we rest were destroying the works of the
- 59:41enemy, you know we're putting to death striving and stress and
- 59:45exhaustion and all those things and you know when we honor the
- 59:48Sabbath, it requires us to trust the Lord instead of our own
- 59:52efforts, right? To take care of our own needs.
- 59:55And I love Matthew 68, you know? It talks about how the Lord that
- 59:59this is for your father knows what you need even before you
- 1:00:02ask him and it's so true. You know, he sees the big
- 1:00:06picture, he knows when we need to rest and he'll lead us into
- 1:00:11rest, but so often, we don't follow him because, you know, we
- 1:00:15want to maintain control over our own schedule, but entering
- 1:00:19into rest means that, we learn how to daily surrender to him.
- 1:00:23And I remember years ago, I began praying this prayer.
- 1:00:27And I just said, Lord order my day and it's amazing how this
- 1:00:31daily simple Or has completely changed my perspective.
- 1:00:36So I used to get like really irritated with people when they
- 1:00:41would cancel on me. But now when that happens it's
- 1:00:45like it doesn't bother me at all because I realized that God is
- 1:00:48reordering my day and I would much have I would much rather
- 1:00:51have what the Holy Spirit has in mind for my day than what my
- 1:00:55calendar says. And there's literally days when
- 1:00:58everyone will cancel and you're like, what is going on and then
- 1:01:02I realized Oh, I must need to rest.
- 1:01:05The Lord is like completely clearing my schedule and I love
- 1:01:09days like that. And you know, when we think
- 1:01:11about Psalm 23, it talks about how the Lord lets us rest in
- 1:01:16Green Meadows. And he leads Us beside these
- 1:01:19peaceful streams any. He makes sure that he guides us
- 1:01:22on these right paths so in other words, he's inviting us to
- 1:01:26follow him into rest. But again we get to choose how
- 1:01:31we enter into rest whether Sara Lee or involuntarily now,
- 1:01:36voluntarily entering into rest means that we choose to cease to
- 1:01:40stop to submit our time to the Lord, because we recognize that
- 1:01:44he's our provider, not the works of our hands involuntarily
- 1:01:48entering into rest, means that something or someone causes us
- 1:01:53to see. So, you know, we may work
- 1:01:55ourselves so hard that we get injured or, you know, we get
- 1:01:58sick or worse yet. We trigger a disease in our D.
- 1:02:04Sometimes we get laid off from a job.
- 1:02:06You know, no matter what the circumstances are, there's some
- 1:02:09circumstances that Force us to rest, but we still have a choice
- 1:02:13or we going to enter into rest. Are we going to get ourselves?
- 1:02:16So worked up emotionally that we're angry, or were worried
- 1:02:20about our circumstances. Now for me in my life, I've
- 1:02:25experienced both and I'm sure you have as well and good
- 1:02:28listeners heart have as well. Well, I would much rather choose
- 1:02:32rest then. Forced to rest because most of
- 1:02:35the time when I involuntarily enter into rest, you know, it's
- 1:02:39precipitated by a sickness or by an injury.
- 1:02:43And I remember the year between my undergraduate and my graduate
- 1:02:48school studies. I was working full-time at the
- 1:02:51VA Medical Center in La, Jolla California.
- 1:02:54And I was in the department of Psychiatry and I was doing
- 1:02:57research on schizophrenia and in addition to that full-time job.
- 1:03:01I also was an assistant like coach for the UC San Diego crew.
- 1:03:05Team the rowing team because I was on the crew team as a
- 1:03:09student and then that same year, I was involved in intervarsity,
- 1:03:13Christian Fellowship, on campus and I was dating Tom, you know,
- 1:03:16the man I would marry. And so my life was just full to
- 1:03:21capacity and I had this really fast-paced life.
- 1:03:25Well, I went to this retreat with intervarsity.
- 1:03:29And during one of the breaks we were playing ultimate frisbee
- 1:03:33and I tore the meniscus in my knee and it turns out I needed
- 1:03:37surgery. But I had such horrible medical
- 1:03:41insurance that it took them a month to approve the surgery.
- 1:03:45So I was on crutches and a knee immobilizer for an entire month
- 1:03:49before I had surgery and so my fast-paced life came to a
- 1:03:54screeching halt, you know? And I really was out the slope.
- 1:03:59Crawl, and it seems like as I look back over my life, it seems
- 1:04:03like the Lord just keeps bringing me these lessons of how
- 1:04:07to learn how to rest. And, you know, some people, it
- 1:04:10comes easier. And I would say, for me, I feel
- 1:04:12like I'm getting better at it, but I always have this internal
- 1:04:16struggle, because one of my strengths on the strengthsfinder
- 1:04:19test is achiever and I am never bored.
- 1:04:23I always have like things I'm researching or projects.
- 1:04:28I'm working on And my husband, he teases me.
- 1:04:31He's like do you have like this ready list in your head of to
- 1:04:33do's and it's totally true. I do and I used to go, go, go,
- 1:04:38go until I would collapse and of course that's not healthy.
- 1:04:42And you know it seems like I was always striving for something.
- 1:04:47And I really I learned how to strive when I was a teenager,
- 1:04:51young teenager, I was as a child, I was a competitive
- 1:04:55figure skater from age of 62 age 13.
- 1:04:59And I'm a natural athlete. And so, I've been involved in
- 1:05:03all sorts of sports and it, they just come easy to me.
- 1:05:07Well, figure skating, I was really good at.
- 1:05:09And so I would finish first, second, or third in every
- 1:05:13competition, except for the very last two competitions.
- 1:05:16My last competition, I remember. So clearly, like, I was super
- 1:05:22well-trained. I could do my performance
- 1:05:25flawlessly, but when it came time for the competition, When I
- 1:05:29let my nerves, get the best of me.
- 1:05:31And I fell on one of my jumps in my program and I remember
- 1:05:36skating off the ice because I was super disappointed in
- 1:05:38myself, I skated with my head hung low.
- 1:05:42Well that is the number one thing you don't do as a figure
- 1:05:46skater because it's the last image that the judges.
- 1:05:49See of you is you being disappointed in your program and
- 1:05:53so that will remind them oh I need to Mark her down.
- 1:05:57So I skated off the ice. With my head down and my coach
- 1:06:01yelled at me in front of hundreds of people and then I
- 1:06:04turned to my parents for support and they gave me the silent
- 1:06:08treatment and so I learned in that moment if I fail, I'm going
- 1:06:13to be rejected. And so I made this unconscious
- 1:06:17pact with myself that I'm never going to fail.
- 1:06:20And so, I was an incredibly driven individual.
- 1:06:24Well, when I made that unconscious packed it opened the
- 1:06:27door to a spirit. Out of fear of failure.
- 1:06:30And I was plagued by that until graduate school, when I got set
- 1:06:35free and delivered from it. And I remember when I was
- 1:06:38telling my mom, after I got set free from that spirit of fear of
- 1:06:42failure, I was telling her the story and and she asked for my
- 1:06:45forgiveness for how they handled that moment, she never felt good
- 1:06:50about that. And so this is beautiful time of
- 1:06:53reconciliation and healing, but because of that I had developed
- 1:06:59This striving mentality. And so the Lord had to teach me
- 1:07:04through involuntary, rest, the difference between striving and
- 1:07:09rest. And again, even when we're
- 1:07:13forced with involuntary rest, we still have to choose to rest.
- 1:07:17You know, at first when I injured my knee, I was angry.
- 1:07:22I you know it's frustrated I couldn't do the things that I
- 1:07:24wanted to do but then finally I let go of that and I just
- 1:07:28embraced The situation embrace the, the rest and I remember
- 1:07:33what happened. Like things started becoming
- 1:07:38more beautiful in my surrounding.
- 1:07:40So you know, I had this research job and it required me to go to
- 1:07:45some of the research libraries on campus and UC San Diego is
- 1:07:49massive. You know on a good day it would
- 1:07:51take me 40 minutes to get from one end of campus to another.
- 1:07:54So now picture me on crutches with his knee immobilizer having
- 1:07:58to get These research libraries and I had to walk so slow.
- 1:08:03Like I began noticing flowers and bushes and trees and
- 1:08:09interested. There's a fly.
- 1:08:12Oh, that's a beautiful bird, you know, nature just came alive to
- 1:08:18me and prior to that, I would just whiz on past it.
- 1:08:22Not even taking in my surroundings and so the Lord
- 1:08:26taught me and not time of my life.
- 1:08:29That when I rest, when I entered into rest, I see these truths
- 1:08:34and aspects of Hit the beautiful nature of God and what he's
- 1:08:39created come to life. And I also realized, you know,
- 1:08:43when we walk in the fear of the Lord, it leads us to rest.
- 1:08:47And that's what it says in Proverbs 1923.
- 1:08:50It says the fear of the Lord leads to life, then one rest
- 1:08:54content Untouched by trouble. So, I believe, you know, we
- 1:08:59position ourselves to see his wonders when we enter into rest
- 1:09:03now. And as I mentioned earlier, you
- 1:09:06know, choosing to rest breaks the back of striping and Matthew
- 1:09:1211:28 through 30, it says, come to me all who are weary and
- 1:09:16burdened. And I will give you rest.
- 1:09:17Take my yoke upon you and learn from me for.
- 1:09:21I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your
- 1:09:26souls for my My yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- 1:09:32Well, there's actually there's a yoke of striving and there's a
- 1:09:35yoke of Rest In, Jesus offers himself as our place of rest.
- 1:09:41And once I recognized that once I recognized that there's a
- 1:09:45place of rest, it's the bosom of Jesus.
- 1:09:49That's when I realized, oh my gosh, I can actually war from a
- 1:09:54place of rest and when the Lord God called me to the front lines
- 1:09:59of this spiritual battle were in, you know, a couple of years
- 1:10:01ago. He told me this, he said the
- 1:10:04enemy can't find you when you're hidden in my presence and when
- 1:10:08he told me that I was like, oh my gosh, that is so good.
- 1:10:12And so I'm learning how to live my life hidden in the presence
- 1:10:17of the Lord because the enemy can't find me there.
- 1:10:20The presence of the Lord is filled with his glory.
- 1:10:22You think of the brightest light ever its blinding and the enemy
- 1:10:26can't. See me because I'm hidden in the
- 1:10:30presence of the Lord. And then he gave me this Vision
- 1:10:33last year of me like this baby bird.
- 1:10:36And I'm underneath the wings of the father, and I've got my
- 1:10:40mouth open and he's feeding me and he's nourishing me, and I'm
- 1:10:43just like, super excited to to eat all the nourishment that he
- 1:10:47has for me. And then when he sends me out on
- 1:10:50assignment, I become like that peregrine, falcon, and I dive at
- 1:10:55incredible speeds and I my mark and then I come back to the
- 1:11:00father underneath his wings like that baby bird again and I
- 1:11:04absolutely love that image because that shows me that
- 1:11:07teaches me how to live my life in rest under the shadow of his
- 1:11:13wings in the bosom of Jesus. Now I'm going to share one other
- 1:11:17thing. Well couple other things too.
- 1:11:20You know I one of my favorite forms of exercise now that I'm
- 1:11:23getting older is paddleboarding I had to let go of a lot of Of
- 1:11:29the sports I used to play because they were contact sports
- 1:11:33but paddleboarding I absolutely love and we live near a lake and
- 1:11:38the Lord has taught me so much on my paddle board and one of
- 1:11:42the things that I want to share is he taught me, you know,
- 1:11:47through being out on the lake when it's really windy.
- 1:11:50Now, when it's windy, everything is harder as you can imagine.
- 1:11:54You know, it's harder to paddle. It's harder to go.
- 1:11:57Where it's harder to stay on the board itself.
- 1:12:01And to me, that's an image of striving, you know, when we
- 1:12:06strive, we make everything more difficult, and it's hard to
- 1:12:09accomplish anything because we're wearing this heavy yoke of
- 1:12:13striving. And when were, you know,
- 1:12:16struggling to achieve, that thing that we've set out to do
- 1:12:19in and we're just we're not able to achieve it.
- 1:12:23What happens is because of that bondage of striving I used to
- 1:12:27This phrase what we'll just buckle down and try harder.
- 1:12:30Well that comes out of striving and so when you try and do that,
- 1:12:34that's when stress and fear anxiety and irritability creep
- 1:12:39in, but when we enter into rest, it's like the moment on the
- 1:12:43board when I get to turn around and go with the wind and I it's
- 1:12:48the sense of relief and everything is easy.
- 1:12:51In fact, I could literally just stand on the board and not
- 1:12:54paddle and just steer a little bit and I'll I'll get to where I
- 1:12:58want to go, because the wind is pushing me.
- 1:13:00But then when I decide to paddle With the Wind, you know, I
- 1:13:04travel farther and faster but with way less effort and to me
- 1:13:08that's the Yoke of rest. Now, another thing, the Lord
- 1:13:12taught me when I was out on the paddle board in the wind.
- 1:13:16Now again, when it's windy, it's not peaceful, right?
- 1:13:20There's these waves and your board is like slapping up and
- 1:13:24down against the waves, the choppiness of the lake.
- 1:13:27And so I'm out there one day and Salt Lake is unique in its
- 1:13:32whether we tease people who come into town and we say you know if
- 1:13:37you don't like the weather stick around in five minutes it will
- 1:13:40be different so I don't intentionally go out in the wind
- 1:13:45but I'll go out on the lake and it's fine.
- 1:13:47It's great it's wonderful day and then in 5 minutes like this
- 1:13:52heavy wind comes in or worse yet.
- 1:13:55Thunderstorms and so So it was one of those days.
- 1:13:59I'm like, really Lord this wind gust so I'm paddling into the
- 1:14:05wind and it's it's hard and it's strong and but all of a sudden I
- 1:14:11get lost in the presence of the Lord and it's like my body is
- 1:14:15still struggling to paddle into the wind but my Soul and Spirit
- 1:14:20are with the King of Kings. Like I am just having the time
- 1:14:24of my life in his presence and I could Are less about my
- 1:14:28circumstances and the Lord spoke to me in that moment.
- 1:14:31And he said, no matter what the circumstances are, you can
- 1:14:36always find rest. And I realize that, you know,
- 1:14:40made me think about Jesus when he was in the boat sleeping, and
- 1:14:44there's these wind and waves and that, you know, the disciples
- 1:14:48are freaking out because they think they're going to die and
- 1:14:51there's Jesus, he's resting, he's sleeping, the disciples are
- 1:14:56freaking and he's Ting. Well, I realize I want to live
- 1:15:00my life in rest. I don't want to put a freak out
- 1:15:05and, you know, back to David, I love David.
- 1:15:08My youngest son's middle name is David because David is my
- 1:15:11favorite King. My other son's middle name is
- 1:15:14Josiah because that's my second favorite King.
- 1:15:18But so David, you know, he provides us with a good example
- 1:15:23of how we find rest in the midst of difficult circumstances.
- 1:15:27And for David, what that look like is that was, you know, him
- 1:15:31surrendering to the sovereignty of the Lord.
- 1:15:34And I love Psalm 62 because it gives us a window into how David
- 1:15:38lived this out. And this is verse 1 through 5,
- 1:15:41it says my soul finds rest in God alone.
- 1:15:46My salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my
- 1:15:50salvation. He is my Fortress.
- 1:15:53I Will Never Be Shaken. How long will you assault a man?
- 1:15:57Would all of you, throw him down this leaning.
- 1:15:59While this tottering fence, they fully intend to topple him from
- 1:16:03his lofty place. They take Delight in lies with
- 1:16:06their mouths, they blessed. But in their hearts, they curse.
- 1:16:10Find rest. Oh my soul and God Alone, My
- 1:16:13Hope comes from him. So here we see in this passage,
- 1:16:17you know, David is surrounded by his enemies that are bent on his
- 1:16:20destruction. And so, in verse 1, he is
- 1:16:23declaring my soul finds rest in God alone, but Verse 5 he is
- 1:16:28commanding his soul to find rest in God alone.
- 1:16:32And I think about, you know, I can only imagine the thoughts of
- 1:16:36fear and despair and worry that crept into David's mind between
- 1:16:40verse 1 and verse 5. Yeah.
- 1:16:43And, you know, David had to know God as his Rock his Fortress and
- 1:16:48his salvation in order to endure his hard circumstances.
- 1:16:53So, what David was doing here is he was taking every thought, At
- 1:16:57captive and he was telling his soul lineup and only find rest
- 1:17:03in God alone. And that's what we have to do.
- 1:17:07You know, sometimes we have to just tell our soul, find rest in
- 1:17:11God alone, we have to remind ourselves just like you spoke in
- 1:17:15the beginning that God works all things together for good for
- 1:17:18those who love him and are called according to his purpose
- 1:17:22has. And so I just you know, I want
- 1:17:25to encourage people that That we anchor our lives.
- 1:17:29In Psalm 42 10, which says be still and know that I am.
- 1:17:33God, Psalms 116, seven return unto thy, rest.
- 1:17:42Oh, my soul for the Lord, hath dealt bountifully.
- 1:17:48Hmm. And then I just want to read
- 1:17:49Exodus 33 14 quick and he said, my presence shall go with the
- 1:17:55and I will give the rest Hebrews 4, 9 there remaineth therefore a
- 1:18:01rest to the people of God. so for everybody, listening, the
- 1:18:07Psalms 116 if you need to return unto rest, which I highly
- 1:18:10recommend, We know that God's ways are good and his ways are
- 1:18:19higher than our ways. He is so separate and set apart
- 1:18:23and above and beyond what we can comprehend.
- 1:18:26So the world may be trying to drive us and harness us to the
- 1:18:29plow and to make us produce in the pressure.
- 1:18:32Maybe on but it makes me think of faith.
- 1:18:36If we have faith. How could you express your
- 1:18:42faith? The substance of something hoped
- 1:18:44for the evidence of the Unseen. If everything is going perfect
- 1:18:46in life, Faith is tested. When a my opinion, when things
- 1:18:50aren't going perfect. Yeah.
- 1:18:52When we hear what God is saying, we slow down, we've rest and
- 1:18:57marinate in his word and then we come out going.
- 1:19:00Okay, God, it looks like this on the outside.
- 1:19:03People are going to mock me. They may laugh at me.
- 1:19:05They may question and try to advise me, but we know that.
- 1:19:09Fear of man would take the advice of those around them, but
- 1:19:14to he, who hides the word of God in his heart, that he may not
- 1:19:17sin against God to he, who was seeking after the Lord, with the
- 1:19:21might and the strength that is given.
- 1:19:25That's where we're going to find rest when we align our hearts as
- 1:19:29we grow, and we learn to repent and change our minds to change
- 1:19:36the way that we're viewing and thinking about things because
- 1:19:39faith comes from hearing the word.
- 1:19:41And there's plenty of scripture quoted from from Laurel, in this
- 1:19:45episode, and gems and nuggets. As we went through Samuel,
- 1:19:49talking about the difference of Saul's Kingdom vs David's
- 1:19:52Kingdom. Let's follow.
- 1:19:55After the Lord, in a closer, a deeper in a more secret way than
- 1:19:58we ever have before by entering into a place of rest, and to the
- 1:20:03world, that's going to sound crazy.
- 1:20:04What do you mean your your warring from a place of rest?
- 1:20:07What do you mean you're being restored and rest?
- 1:20:10They'll say things like the early bird gets the worm and you
- 1:20:13need a second job because inflation is so bad right now.
- 1:20:17How can you afford anything? But we trust that God will make
- 1:20:22a way even if the monetary system.
- 1:20:26God Will Make A Way It Is in the presence of difficult things,
- 1:20:30that happened that our faith is tested.
- 1:20:32Our faith is not for those. Sunny Shiny Days where the
- 1:20:35breeze is not blowing too strong, and everything is
- 1:20:38overflowing and goodness. Our faith can be tested on.
- 1:20:42Will we trust God to enter into a place of rest?
- 1:20:47Will we allow lot a time and say God You Are Holy you're calling
- 1:20:51me to be holy. I want to enter into a place of
- 1:20:54rest. I want to go against the grain.
- 1:20:57I want to make a stand and believe your word and your power
- 1:21:01and the Revelation, the Rhema this coming alive to me, jumping
- 1:21:05off. The pages is greater than
- 1:21:08anything that the world is waving around out there.
- 1:21:11R, so I'm encouraged. I am so encouraged.
- 1:21:13And I love when you were sharing, you know, some of your
- 1:21:17obstacles as you were, you know, skating and doing these things
- 1:21:20as you were younger, because it really did remind me.
- 1:21:23Again of God works all things together.
- 1:21:25He's a good god, he's a good father, he's patient with us,
- 1:21:29right? It's like we're learning these
- 1:21:30little incremental things and then we reflect later in life
- 1:21:35and like we're looking back now on the God you've, you were
- 1:21:38there for me. And at this season at this time
- 1:21:40in the It might not have felt like it but the way that he
- 1:21:44works these big things and small things together is definitely
- 1:21:49worth the reflection of my opinion.
- 1:21:51And I just you always bring this refreshment to the episode.
- 1:21:57You've really just you're doing what God is calling you to do
- 1:22:01and by sharing your testimony and helping us to find these
- 1:22:05nuggets in the word. And this is also a gentle
- 1:22:09warning to the As we need to have a holy reverence for what
- 1:22:14God is saying, and just having that rest in him because he's
- 1:22:19the power move, he is the one who is going to make a way where
- 1:22:22there seems like there is no way and I think that's where we're
- 1:22:26at as a society as a whole as a country right now.
- 1:22:31Obviously we know the answer is not in voting, the right person
- 1:22:35in. We know the answer is going to
- 1:22:36be seeking the face of the Lord turning from the wicked things
- 1:22:40that Have committed changing the way we perceive life, but being
- 1:22:45transformed and renewed slowly and surely by the guidance of
- 1:22:51his spirit and his word, so edification at its best.
- 1:22:56Yeah. It's always an honor to be with
- 1:22:58you and just I'm in the zone. You got me on cloud nine.
- 1:23:03Once again, every time you go more time like okay, so well
- 1:23:09good. I'm hoping it was a Good
- 1:23:11birthday gift for you. And it's always so wonderful to
- 1:23:14be together. Absolutely.
- 1:23:17And I know most people are going to know at this point but please
- 1:23:20plug in where new listeners can find you.
- 1:23:23Reiterate the information for those who keep coming back for
- 1:23:26more here on The Mustard Seed. Where can people find you?
- 1:23:29Anything that you're working on anything in the near future
- 1:23:34anything you'd like to share with us?
- 1:23:35Yes. Well, thank you.
- 1:23:36So, the best place to reach me is to start by going onto my
- 1:23:41Website, which is no longer enslaved.com and then from there
- 1:23:46I have monthly articles that I right.
- 1:23:49And if folks are interested in receiving those, I don't
- 1:23:52inundate your inbox, I just do one article a month, people can
- 1:23:56sign up. It's Frida, subscribe and then
- 1:24:00you can order my book from my website or off of Amazon and as
- 1:24:04you mentioned Rod, I do have it now inaudible.
- 1:24:07I'm super excited about that because like yourself.
- 1:24:10I've had so many people reach out grateful that I narrated the
- 1:24:15book and put it in audio format because either they're too busy
- 1:24:19to read or, you know, dyslexic like you said.
- 1:24:23And so I'm super excited that it's available now, both in
- 1:24:27Kindle form in paperback and Audible, and it's currently
- 1:24:31being translated into Spanish. It's probably one of the things
- 1:24:35I'm most excited about and God, That's all folks from Some
- 1:24:42pastors from Florida that I've just sown seeds into the
- 1:24:45translation. And it's I think we're on
- 1:24:49chapter 21 has been translated, then it needs to be proof read
- 1:24:53and then sent to my publisher and, you know, she'll put it all
- 1:24:56together. So it's probably still a few
- 1:24:59months out, but I'm so excited for that because it will really
- 1:25:03open up these concepts of the Nephilim and the Nephilim agenda
- 1:25:07to the Spanish-speaking communities.
- 1:25:10So I'm super excited about that and then I'm also on YouTube, I
- 1:25:17have a YouTube and Rumble Channel called no longer
- 1:25:19enslaved. And I have a 7 part series on
- 1:25:23spiritual mapping and a 10 part series on the impact of the
- 1:25:28Nephilim agenda today, for those that are interested in digging a
- 1:25:32little deeper in those subjects and then if people want to
- 1:25:35follow me I'm on Instagram under Laura Sanger 444 hurts.
- 1:25:39And then also, Ram, Laura singer, 444 hurts.
- 1:25:43So that's what I've got my hands in right now.
- 1:25:49And I'm doing the spiritual mapping project currently in the
- 1:25:53Salt Lake Valley, which I'm excited about.
- 1:25:56We're going to go do some reconnaissance tomorrow.
- 1:25:59Yeah, which is awesome. Yeah.
- 1:26:02So that's what I'm involved in. Yeah, and I couldn't recommend
- 1:26:07your book and it's just unbelievable and a way, and it
- 1:26:12is so helpful that you narrated yourself to, that's probably not
- 1:26:16easy. So like, wasn't it was so, but
- 1:26:20it's so rewarding to just, here you go through it and not
- 1:26:23something else also and it just, it really It's been so helpful
- 1:26:28for me, I'm at a factory and boots on the ground 40 plus
- 1:26:33hours a week. In a manufacturing facility we
- 1:26:37make some interesting Parts where we're busy right now
- 1:26:40because some of the things that we are tailored to our for the
- 1:26:44military and the Aerospace industry that keeps us pretty
- 1:26:47busy thank God and I am able to put one ear bud in.
- 1:26:54And throughout the day multiple times, I've listened to the
- 1:26:59Bible in 24 hours by dr. Chuck Missler.
- 1:27:01But, and so now having to be able to utilize some of that
- 1:27:06time to listen to your book, which is narrated by you
- 1:27:10inaudible. It's been a game changer.
- 1:27:11It just really helped me to dive into a space where I'm at work,
- 1:27:19and I normally wouldn't have that time to reflect Actor dig
- 1:27:22deeper, I found myself Paul's and alright I'll run over to my
- 1:27:25desk and write down things on the sticky.
- 1:27:28Okay, we gotta look into that and it just just a glimmer into
- 1:27:34something. I had text you the other week.
- 1:27:36It was just as question about the frequency of gold.
- 1:27:40And it's so interesting. I was listening to your
- 1:27:42interview with blurry creatures at the time and I was in and out
- 1:27:45of still going through your book on Audible and just Little Gems
- 1:27:51like that. I remember years ago, when the
- 1:27:53linen thing came up where it was their usual, why is everybody
- 1:27:56who's Holier? You know, a profit it wearing
- 1:27:59white linen in the Bible, right? And it's just, these little
- 1:28:02nuggets are what keep us on this Trail.
- 1:28:05Lower investigating, the word of God is becoming alive to us and
- 1:28:08keeping us. Just interested on day-to-day
- 1:28:11basis. So it's a game-changer that you
- 1:28:14did that on Audible and for the Spanish Community excited, Sandy
- 1:28:20as was on, he speaks Spanish. He Lives local to me and Reading
- 1:28:24PA which is predominantly a Spanish City.
- 1:28:26You don't get a ton of downloads from Reading I think because
- 1:28:30it's they speak fluent Spanish there and not as much English
- 1:28:36but it's awesome to be able to represent that too large.
- 1:28:40Populations close by to me when that Spanish narration is done.
- 1:28:44I think that that's huge loving our neighbors as we love
- 1:28:48ourselves is going to stretch the boundaries Beyond just who
- 1:28:52we talk to and meet up with and like who's in our inside circle
- 1:28:55is going to be sharing this information and really taking an
- 1:28:59interest and the people around us whether they're from a
- 1:29:03different culture, they speak a different language or not and
- 1:29:05that's one of the big things that got me excited.
- 1:29:08But I heard you were developing During the Spanish version of
- 1:29:11this inaudible so well I could have you told me actually it'll
- 1:29:15be in print the Spanish version will be.
- 1:29:18Yeah that is that's a blessing. It's a blessing and hopefully
- 1:29:23some day it'll grow to even more languages.
- 1:29:27Be crazy. Well, another birthday episode
- 1:29:34down and thank you for taking the time to just Christ into my
- 1:29:40life. I know over the years, just you
- 1:29:42encouraging me and all of your work and the feedback of how
- 1:29:47it's helping other people grow. You know, the Bible says let
- 1:29:50somebody else you know, honor you and praise what you're
- 1:29:54doing, right? That we don't do that for
- 1:29:56ourselves. So it's a I'm just happy to be
- 1:30:00in a position where I know you and like I get encouragement
- 1:30:03from me, we get to have conversations.
- 1:30:04And yeah, sometimes I'm like, I get the text dr.
- 1:30:07Laura question. Like this is crazy.
- 1:30:09He, you know, and it's just a blessing.
- 1:30:12So, thank you for being here. All the money must be seen
- 1:30:15podcast any last words before we close out just, you know, to
- 1:30:21encourage people to tune out all the voices that are going on in
- 1:30:27the world and just tune into the voice of the Lord.
- 1:30:32And that's it. That is the episode.
- 1:30:36Thank you for being here. I know this was edifying.
- 1:30:39I know this is encouraging. I want you guys to share this
- 1:30:43episode with your friends, family members, your neighbor,
