- 0:25Speaker 1: I had no idea. Is that where the mud fights,
- 0:28Speaker 1: the mud fights and all that. It's not mud, it's pooh,
- 0:31Speaker 1: they don't there A buddy, a buddy of mine went
- 0:35Speaker 1: to Woodstock and has pictures of himself in the mud
- 0:39Speaker 1: fights and everything like that. Hey, but I just want
- 0:43Speaker 1: you to know you was you was slinging? Do do?
- 0:47Speaker 1: It's so gross, It's so gross, But you gotta see
- 0:50Speaker 1: this doc is three part documentary listeners. I highly recommend it.
- 0:54Speaker 1: It's it's shocking and uh really well done. But it
- 1:00Speaker 1: is crazy what happened at that fucking festival. Donald. The
- 1:04Speaker 1: season six well, I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone,
- 1:06Speaker 1: just insanity. They fucking rioted, they started fires. It's incredible.
- 1:09Speaker 1: It's the season six finale, and what a finale it is.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I wrote, I laughed so hard, I wrote so many notes,
- 1:18Speaker 1: But there's a couple of I think that I think
- 1:21Speaker 1: the biggest laugh as always is Rob macow. Yes, of course,
- 1:25Speaker 1: we have a special visitor coming for the listeners today.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Joel is special present for the listeners here or Danny No, okay,
- 1:34Speaker 1: we have these very special guest for you listeners, because
- 1:36Speaker 1: we love you and we like to give you special treats,
- 1:40Speaker 1: especially when it's the season finale of season six. We're
- 1:44Speaker 1: gonna give you two special treats. We're gonna watch the
- 1:47Speaker 1: show with you in the next episode and in this episode,
- 1:51Speaker 1: the season six finale, we're bringing in a heavy hitter.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We're just gonna leave it at that for now. Yeah,
- 1:57Speaker 1: Daniel will let us know when the surprises. He year, Um,
- 2:01Speaker 1: but how are you a day of shooting, just checking
- 2:04Speaker 1: in with you, how are things? Rocco had his birthday.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I saw Rocco is now officially nine years old, nine
- 2:11Speaker 1: big ones. It's very interesting because he's taller than nine,
- 2:15Speaker 1: Like he's taller than the average nine year old. And
- 2:18Speaker 1: so when I look at him, I see such an
- 2:20Speaker 1: older kid, and but he behaves like a nine year
- 2:24Speaker 1: old and you know, you know what I mean. And
- 2:27Speaker 1: it's like, uh and I have to. I have to
- 2:30Speaker 1: accept that. I you know, I'm so proud of him.
- 2:35Speaker 1: He's blossoming and growing into this really awesome kid right now,
- 2:40Speaker 1: and I'm really excited about that. But what I'm really
- 2:44Speaker 1: excited about is that, you know, as actors, when you're
- 2:48Speaker 1: you know, as actors who have to go across the
- 2:50Speaker 1: world and do things and stuff, it's rare that you
- 2:53Speaker 1: get to stay home and be with your children. And
- 2:56Speaker 1: these past couple of months this summer, I've had the
- 2:59Speaker 1: luck re of working in l A and it hasn't
- 3:04Speaker 1: been like that in a long time. And so I'm
- 3:08Speaker 1: sure they're so glad that you're around and you can
- 3:10Speaker 1: be a part, especially since so much is happening with
- 3:12Speaker 1: your kids. Yeah, it's really interesting. It's really cool, man.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You know, it's really My daughter is heavy into dancing
- 3:18Speaker 1: and gymnastics and all of that stuff now, and Rocco
- 3:20Speaker 1: and basketball as well. And Rocco is heavy into basketball,
- 3:24Speaker 1: and school is about to start up, and you know,
- 3:27Speaker 1: life is life is uh, it's moving, and it's I
- 3:34Speaker 1: think it's good to be alive for anyone right now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I think everybody needs to just sit back, and you know,
- 3:39Speaker 1: if you could just take a moment and take a
- 3:42Speaker 1: mental polaroid of where you are, you know, in life
- 3:47Speaker 1: right now, and understand that it's not the goal, isn't uh,
- 3:52Speaker 1: isn't waiting for you at the end of the finish line.
- 3:56Speaker 1: You know. The goal is the journey that's you know,
- 3:59Speaker 1: and or the journey that you're on. And I'm enjoying
- 4:04Speaker 1: this right now. Yeah that's well said, man, and I
- 4:07Speaker 1: am too, And I appreciate this. You know, as we
- 4:10Speaker 1: end season six, I gotta we gotta always say how
- 4:13Speaker 1: much we appreciate you listeners. This is so fun for us.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I was preparing for this show just now watching the
- 4:18Speaker 1: episode and I'm cracking up. I'm sitting here alone, I'm
- 4:22Speaker 1: swiping tears from my eyes, laughing so hard. And I
- 4:25Speaker 1: would not be doing that if it weren't for this show.
- 4:29Speaker 1: And and so I just want to just shout out
- 4:32Speaker 1: you listeners who who you know? You give us the
- 4:35Speaker 1: reason to do this and so much joy doing the show.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And also of course revisiting scrubs and laughing and knowing
- 4:43Speaker 1: that I'm going to get to crack up with with
- 4:45Speaker 1: you three is something I look forward to every week.
- 4:48Speaker 1: So so thank you and on that note show we
- 4:55Speaker 1: made about a bunch of nurses and Janna sound around.
- 5:15Speaker 1: M all right, so we'll wait for special guests and
- 5:18Speaker 1: let's just get into it. Um. You know he is
- 5:22Speaker 1: into it, huh. At first he's not into it. He's like,
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna save myself for marriage. And then with the
- 5:31Speaker 1: was it the shift of the wind, the change of
- 5:35Speaker 1: the wind, and all of a sudden he had movement
- 5:39Speaker 1: and there it is. And it's amazing how powerful little
- 5:44Speaker 1: side boob can be. Donald. You know, side boob can
- 5:48Speaker 1: bring down a man's defenses. Let's be honest, there's a
- 5:53Speaker 1: lot of things that can bring down a man's defenses.
- 5:56Speaker 1: You put meat in front of a dog, he's gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: eat She's beautiful. My wife always told me, you put
- 6:04Speaker 1: meat in front of a dog, it's gonna eat it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's just real talk. Well, he's single, he hasn't had
- 6:10Speaker 1: it's implied he hasn't had sex in a long time. Dog,
- 6:14Speaker 1: a dootiful woman is in his arms. She's carrying his
- 6:20Speaker 1: baby dog, and all of a sudden there's some side
- 6:26Speaker 1: boob swiping. Yeah, he's no match for Elizabeth Banks's side boob,
- 6:39Speaker 1: and nor is any man nor is anyone, nor is
- 6:43Speaker 1: any person never heard. She says that the baby was
- 6:47Speaker 1: moving quite a bit during the intercourse and that he
- 6:51Speaker 1: quote enjoyed it. Now, I've never heard that express Donald.
- 6:54Speaker 1: You're a man with many kids, just when you when
- 6:57Speaker 1: you're in late stage of pregnancy, does the baby mover
- 6:59Speaker 1: round owned a lot? Is that a thing? Well, yeah,
- 7:02Speaker 1: naturally it does. But you know, yeah, I imagine when
- 7:09Speaker 1: things inter environments. I've honestly never heard that. I was
- 7:20Speaker 1: watching sometimes it could be scary anything you get the
- 7:26Speaker 1: funk out of whoa? What is? How are you? What
- 7:29Speaker 1: you're doing up in here? I never get out of
- 7:34Speaker 1: my space. This is my room. I've honestly never heard room.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I've never heard of disgusted. I've heard people make jokes
- 7:43Speaker 1: about like, oh, we can't have sex we I have
- 7:44Speaker 1: a baby and something, but I've never heard of like
- 7:46Speaker 1: the actual biology if if the baby reacts to during
- 7:51Speaker 1: intercourse until this episode of I mean, don't doesn't doesn't
- 7:56Speaker 1: can't seem in like cause labor also like I don't know, man,
- 8:01Speaker 1: you know now they do they do encourage like if
- 8:05Speaker 1: you know you're very pregnant and your du dates right
- 8:07Speaker 1: around the corner and you're like, I want this baby
- 8:09Speaker 1: out of me. They're like, sex can help. I don't
- 8:12Speaker 1: know how that works, but sex spicy semen. Donald just
- 8:16Speaker 1: said the semen. I would think it's the movement. Yes,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I think, I think. I think it's all of it.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I think it's all of the lubricat. And you google
- 8:26Speaker 1: whether semen can induce labor, because I don't think that's true.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It's a fake doctor. Listen, that's a fake doctor. It
- 8:34Speaker 1: can be true as anything. Anything. I can say whatever
- 8:39Speaker 1: the funk I want. I'm afraid I've never I've never
- 8:43Speaker 1: stood up here and said this. I'm a real doctor.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You should take what I say is fact. Doctor. As
- 8:50Speaker 1: if a very pregnant woman is listening, I don't want
- 8:52Speaker 1: her to being like, oh let me go get some
- 8:54Speaker 1: seeming because I'm ready to give birth. Sperm banks would
- 9:02Speaker 1: be off the chain right now. Okay, everyone settled in
- 9:10Speaker 1: for this. So for Don Pa was right, just let's
- 9:15Speaker 1: just start with that. Let's just start sexual activity. Especially
- 9:20Speaker 1: having an orgasm can really sexy tosin, which may help
- 9:22Speaker 1: jump start eating contractions. Also, for pregnant people who have
- 9:26Speaker 1: sex with men, there are pro the gland in hormones
- 9:31Speaker 1: and semen that might help ripen the cervix. I only
- 9:37Speaker 1: know this because I did a movie call Home Delivery
- 9:40Speaker 1: that involved some ripening, some ripening the cervis, and so
- 9:46Speaker 1: I know this. It's coming soon, y'all. So when you
- 9:48Speaker 1: get the chance, go check out Home Delivery. Wow. Donald
- 9:52Speaker 1: never guessed you were right about that. But everyone gets
- 9:54Speaker 1: about intercourse. Don't do shops of semen. No, no, no, no, no,
- 9:59Speaker 1: don't drink it. Oh my god, even Daniel saying, oh
- 10:06Speaker 1: my god, that one. All right, So we we got
- 10:08Speaker 1: lots to talk about. So then we see a montage
- 10:10Speaker 1: that they're three weeks go by and they're feeling each other,
- 10:14Speaker 1: They're they're they're they're making they're building the crib, they're
- 10:17Speaker 1: doing all the stereotypic couple about to have a baby things.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And we learned that Elliot's wedding is in one week um,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and so things are really building up. The janitor didn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: get his invite because before we go before we go forward,
- 10:33Speaker 1: I thought this was really interesting. How uh, j D
- 10:36Speaker 1: and Elliott are sharing the A storyline and the B
- 10:39Speaker 1: storyline is janitor, the janitor and the brain trust. Uh.
- 10:43Speaker 1: How often does that happen. I don't think we've paid
- 10:47Speaker 1: attention necessarily to that while making the show, but you know,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I just found that very interesting that the two of
- 10:54Speaker 1: them shared, like the his storyline, j D storyline with Kim,
- 10:59Speaker 1: and it's storyline with Keith. We're all a part of
- 11:04Speaker 1: the mirroring. They were all kind of the same storyline.
- 11:08Speaker 1: And then the B storyline is the brain trust and
- 11:12Speaker 1: the janitor. Alright, Donald, special guest is here, Daniel Timpany,
- 11:16Speaker 1: Please some really juicy Timpany some season six finale Timpany,
- 11:21Speaker 1: I can't believe we did it. I can't let you no.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It was make more noise, more noise. I feel I
- 11:38Speaker 1: feel like there is a concerted effort to not get
- 11:40Speaker 1: me to join my podcast today. What are you talking
- 11:44Speaker 1: about this whole season six? Bill, We've been talking about
- 11:49Speaker 1: how you're you're We said, oh, we should do it,
- 11:51Speaker 1: ask Bill, and then we're always like, no, he's way
- 11:53Speaker 1: too busy. We can't even ask you it. Ask Bill.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Just so you guys know, Um, it's good to see
- 11:59Speaker 1: you all again. I had a weird moment this morning
- 12:01Speaker 1: because is the first time I drove into the set
- 12:03Speaker 1: and that that security guard didn't say I love your podcast.
- 12:10Speaker 1: We have to tell the audience if you haven't been
- 12:11Speaker 1: keeping track. Bill has been doing something I never really
- 12:14Speaker 1: knew someone could possibly do, and that is show running
- 12:17Speaker 1: two big ask shows simultaneously on different coasts, one in
- 12:22Speaker 1: Miami and one in l A. Uh, Bill, how the
- 12:25Speaker 1: hell are you? You just finished? Do you want to
- 12:27Speaker 1: get in the fetal position? What's happening? And you're man,
- 12:29Speaker 1: I'm okay, I missed. I miss you guys. It makes
- 12:31Speaker 1: me really happy to be look. I like my job
- 12:33Speaker 1: a lot. I'm never gonna do that again. It was
- 12:35Speaker 1: a giant mistake, but uh, I want to stay. I
- 12:41Speaker 1: want to stay on this though, because I was really
- 12:43Speaker 1: I didn't get to prepare because Daniel even knows I
- 12:45Speaker 1: was going to send something. I've been working on some
- 12:46Speaker 1: new character. I'll tell you what I need, a new character,
- 12:49Speaker 1: interrupting Guy. Anybody you know what the problem was? I
- 12:52Speaker 1: kept trying to obsess about a funnier way to do
- 12:56Speaker 1: interrupting Guy and interrupting Bill, and I haven't um uh,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I haven't been able to beat I Still people still
- 13:04Speaker 1: talk to me on social media about when interrupting Bill
- 13:06Speaker 1: interrupted me, interrupting you guys. It was like it was
- 13:12Speaker 1: like that. It was like inception. I got a new one.
- 13:15Speaker 1: I'm gonna ruin it, so it can't be one. But
- 13:17Speaker 1: I think we should come up with a new character
- 13:19Speaker 1: for me today would be helpful for me. My new one,
- 13:22Speaker 1: um was and I wanted to do. Uh, I'm not
- 13:26Speaker 1: finished talking about this guy. So here's here's my idea.
- 13:30Speaker 1: My idea was to talk about something's Donald and I
- 13:35Speaker 1: have to talk to you about it before that is
- 13:38Speaker 1: going to annoy Zach. Can we finished? Could we be
- 13:43Speaker 1: done talking about this? And then I was gonna say, yeah,
- 13:47Speaker 1: all right, I'm done talking about this. But when I
- 13:49Speaker 1: say that, that would be Daniel's Q to hit a button,
- 13:52Speaker 1: and I thought, I'm not part of this. You're part
- 14:00Speaker 1: of this. My favorite part of this is Bill impost
- 14:03Speaker 1: on two giant shows and instead he's sitting there brainstorming
- 14:06Speaker 1: on a new character for the podcast. I'm not done
- 14:10Speaker 1: talking about this guy. Isn't bad, that's great. You have
- 14:14Speaker 1: you have to prepare well, you know, in my head,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I have to find a great topic that Donald and
- 14:20Speaker 1: I can riff on. It will eventually annoy Zach and
- 14:24Speaker 1: then Zach can go oh, my god, we stop talking
- 14:26Speaker 1: about this, and then maybe Donald and I would work
- 14:28Speaker 1: it out and say we're done. And that's that's when
- 14:31Speaker 1: my prompt of the guy that's not done talking about
- 14:34Speaker 1: this last point. I think we could do that, Donald,
- 14:37Speaker 1: And if we're careful, Zach will never see it coming,
- 14:39Speaker 1: even with this one. Yeah, I'll see it coming. If
- 14:41Speaker 1: it's about a basketball player, I might see it coming.
- 14:44Speaker 1: You won't see it coming, regardless of what it is.
- 14:47Speaker 1: I don't think you. I don't think you'll see it coming,
- 14:50Speaker 1: all right, Pheel, I have questions. This is the season
- 14:52Speaker 1: six finale. It's the last episode on NBC. I believe,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I think so. And no, no, season seven was the
- 15:01Speaker 1: last episode on NBC because they juggled the order of
- 15:05Speaker 1: it. It It was a shortened season seven, and they made
- 15:08Speaker 1: the Princess Bride homage the finale even though it was
- 15:11Speaker 1: not the finale. I see now? Is there something? Is
- 15:14Speaker 1: there some reason? On scrubs Wiki, it says this is
- 15:17Speaker 1: the last one that Touchstone that has the Touchstone TV
- 15:21Speaker 1: logo on it? Is this one like ABC changed their
- 15:24Speaker 1: name or something? Uh, it couldn't be. I don't know.
- 15:27Speaker 1: You know, it's weird. I was I'll just tell you
- 15:29Speaker 1: what it says, and it may mean nothing, but it
- 15:31Speaker 1: says this is the last episode to use the two
- 15:34Speaker 1: thousand four Touchstone television logo since the season four premiere.
- 15:40Speaker 1: It's just something unscrubbs wi you. Maybe you don't know
- 15:41Speaker 1: what the hell that's about. I do. It's because Touchdone
- 15:44Speaker 1: used to be their studio and then they just all
- 15:46Speaker 1: became Disney. You know, I meant it, got it, got it.
- 15:49Speaker 1: They changed to Disney. Remember there used to be touch too,
- 15:52Speaker 1: and it became obsolete. I missed, I missed Touchstone, And
- 15:56Speaker 1: there was one other one that wasn't there another Disney movie.
- 16:00Speaker 1: It was touch Tone and something else. Touchstone with Disney
- 16:04Speaker 1: is kind of cool, you know, can't buy me love?
- 16:07Speaker 1: And it went away. I don't think you're allowed in
- 16:13Speaker 1: these times to have a company name that starts with
- 16:15Speaker 1: touch Bill, did you, um? I know we were always
- 16:20Speaker 1: kind of going year by year. Was there any thought
- 16:23Speaker 1: in your mind that this could be the last season
- 16:26Speaker 1: of the last episode of the show. No, I knew
- 16:28Speaker 1: this one wasn't the last. They were doing the show
- 16:31Speaker 1: right then, and remember we probably would have stayed on.
- 16:34Speaker 1: It's a good trivia for next year. If it weren't
- 16:36Speaker 1: for the writer's strike, we would probably would have stayed
- 16:38Speaker 1: on NBC even longer. That's just kind of confused things, right,
- 16:42Speaker 1: And that happened this season of seventh season. Next season,
- 16:47Speaker 1: seventh season is shortened. And the one thing that still
- 16:50Speaker 1: is one of my top five scrubs internet traffic about
- 16:53Speaker 1: when the writers strike hit, we had a bunch of
- 16:56Speaker 1: episodes in the can, but not one that could conceivably
- 16:59Speaker 1: the NBC's series finale. So they juggled it and they
- 17:03Speaker 1: made the Princess Bride episode, which was really cool, final
- 17:07Speaker 1: the season finale, and hinted it could be the series finale.
- 17:10Speaker 1: But if it was the series finale, it made no
- 17:12Speaker 1: sense and it made me very mad. I know, I'm
- 17:15Speaker 1: frustrated by that too, because I directed it, and you
- 17:18Speaker 1: and I and the whole crew and cast put so
- 17:21Speaker 1: much love into that, And then I feel like it
- 17:23Speaker 1: was sort of judged harshly because people were judging it
- 17:26Speaker 1: as the series finale. It was very weird. Never we
- 17:29Speaker 1: never meant it to. I mean, you know, I peeping
- 17:31Speaker 1: people would have loved it and digested it differently if
- 17:34Speaker 1: they thought, oh, this is just a super out of
- 17:36Speaker 1: the box episode of Scrubs as opposed to we're ending
- 17:38Speaker 1: the series on this. They did what was their right
- 17:40Speaker 1: and they flipped the order. So Ken Jenkins character Kelso
- 17:44Speaker 1: had even already left the hospital, and then for some
- 17:46Speaker 1: reason in the season finale, he's back working there again.
- 17:49Speaker 1: It was very weird. Yeah, yeah, well yeah, back to
- 17:54Speaker 1: this one, back to this one. I was gonna I
- 17:57Speaker 1: was just gonna just put that into to comparison, uh,
- 18:02Speaker 1: with everything that's shifting at Warner Brothers. I mean, that's
- 18:05Speaker 1: just how it goes. Man. The business is the business,
- 18:08Speaker 1: and I know fans get piste off about stuff like that,
- 18:10Speaker 1: but there's nothing that we as creatives can do about that,
- 18:15Speaker 1: you know what I mean? There is there is I'll
- 18:17Speaker 1: tell you, okay, yes here is going to release Back Girl.
- 18:25Speaker 1: What did I just start? What? What did I go?
- 18:27Speaker 1: There is? I just hit a button and Back Girl start.
- 18:31Speaker 1: I watched the whole thing right now, the build Instagram.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Have you guys had Instagram? He's broken Back Girl into
- 18:39Speaker 1: many instant stories. By the way, I'm taking more time
- 18:44Speaker 1: for social media now. Maybe if I start acting it
- 18:46Speaker 1: out the So here's the people like to say that
- 18:53Speaker 1: things are changing. They aren't changing. It's just more of
- 18:56Speaker 1: the same. And what I mean by that is uh uh.
- 19:01Speaker 1: The one truth is that the businesses and powers that
- 19:05Speaker 1: be in Hollywood will always do understandably. I'll be careful
- 19:10Speaker 1: what's right for them, um uh, until the end of time.
- 19:14Speaker 1: The story of bat Girl, there's a thousand stories like that,
- 19:18Speaker 1: of expensive pilots and shows and movies shelved and redone.
- 19:23Speaker 1: That's what Donald said. I when I was saying it's
- 19:24Speaker 1: never been done before. No, I know what I meant
- 19:28Speaker 1: was within ninety million dollar feature. I don't think that's
- 19:31Speaker 1: been done before. But Donald's yet last week was saying, well, yeah,
- 19:34Speaker 1: but think about pilots. It's it's maybe not as much money,
- 19:36Speaker 1: but it's a funkload of money. Think about the amount
- 19:39Speaker 1: of movies and TV shows that were completely reshot to
- 19:45Speaker 1: make it. By the way, one of the most famous things,
- 19:47Speaker 1: don't They made the Game of Thrones pilot. Yeah. And
- 19:51Speaker 1: by the way, also, Zach, if you add up, we're saying,
- 19:53Speaker 1: there's a new thing. How is this that much different
- 19:56Speaker 1: than all the super expensive I could have added up
- 20:00Speaker 1: TV pilots that were made, invested in, shot, and then
- 20:03Speaker 1: never allowed to be shown to anybody I personally have made.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm just counting them a cool seventy five million dollars
- 20:12Speaker 1: worth of pilots that were never seen by a single
- 20:15Speaker 1: person that exists. That's exactly what Donald was saying last week.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I get it. And the opposite side of this, I
- 20:21Speaker 1: will tell you that a cool thing for content creators
- 20:26Speaker 1: is that there is still a leverage shift. Once you
- 20:31Speaker 1: do something that everybody digs, and the second you do
- 20:34Speaker 1: something that everybody digs, the leverage shift goes from the
- 20:38Speaker 1: studio and company paying for it to the creators making
- 20:43Speaker 1: making it and the people in it. But that's the
- 20:45Speaker 1: fact that that hasn't changed yet is great. So even
- 20:48Speaker 1: in the Netflix model where they say, um, oh Netflix,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you're gonna do three years and be gone, right, Um,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Stranger fiction, you know, is a strange that it's still
- 20:59Speaker 1: on because there's a leverage shift on that show, you know,
- 21:01Speaker 1: because the creators and people that make it's so in demand,
- 21:06Speaker 1: you know that they get to keep doing whatever the
- 21:08Speaker 1: heck they want to keep doing, you know, And so
- 21:11Speaker 1: the stranger things, stranger things just strange the fiction by
- 21:15Speaker 1: because I was thinking about a weird movie stranger things
- 21:17Speaker 1: that you know, did not do two seasons and go
- 21:20Speaker 1: out like other Netflix shows. You know what I mean,
- 21:22Speaker 1: it's going to do five seasons. It looks like yeah,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and like look even um uh. Ted Lasso is a
- 21:29Speaker 1: great example because when it was pitched, it was definitely
- 21:32Speaker 1: pitched as a two or three season show and everybody
- 21:37Speaker 1: was fine with that. And now it is without a doubt,
- 21:39Speaker 1: a hundred percent. Jason Sudeikis is prerogative how long that
- 21:42Speaker 1: show goes on. You know what I mean, do you
- 21:44Speaker 1: want to give us any Do you want to give
- 21:46Speaker 1: us any And if you were to tell us Bill,
- 21:49Speaker 1: we would get so many listens, we would get a
- 21:51Speaker 1: lot of publicity. Maybe maybe we can click. We need
- 21:57Speaker 1: click for our podcast. It can be know why even
- 22:00Speaker 1: if I even if I knew, I wouldn't But I
- 22:04Speaker 1: don't know because it is so firmly. Mr Sudeikis is
- 22:08Speaker 1: called himself. And I think that's the cool beauty of
- 22:12Speaker 1: this show is he'll know and he'll let people know
- 22:15Speaker 1: when it's time to let him know. You know, Zach
- 22:17Speaker 1: was one of the things I was doing. Zach was
- 22:19Speaker 1: in it Donald and uh, he was very very good. Uh.
- 22:24Speaker 1: And I won't do any spoilers because he had to
- 22:26Speaker 1: do drama and violence and uh be drug addict and
- 22:35Speaker 1: he absolutely crushed it. And I had to. I had
- 22:38Speaker 1: not seen our friend Zach act in a while, and
- 22:40Speaker 1: it made me think, I gotta see my friend Donald
- 22:43Speaker 1: acting in one of these things too. Man, it's been
- 22:45Speaker 1: too long. I agree, you know what, I agree, But
- 22:50Speaker 1: I will say this, Zach is leveled up in his acting.
- 22:53Speaker 1: He was good, but he's leveled up. I didn't, by
- 22:58Speaker 1: the way, I will say this, I know how build
- 23:00Speaker 1: out of all these years. Bill came to me almost surprised, like,
- 23:03Speaker 1: you're really good in that done. I used to get
- 23:09Speaker 1: pegged on this all the time, the ultimate insult, which
- 23:11Speaker 1: is I used the word actually, you are actually really
- 23:16Speaker 1: good in that UM. But I will say this, I
- 23:21Speaker 1: got a good topic for this, and then you can
- 23:22Speaker 1: go back to the show because it's back takes it
- 23:23Speaker 1: back to all of us. You guys can use this
- 23:25Speaker 1: or not use this. So since we did that thing
- 23:28Speaker 1: in UM Texas, I'm always inundated with people asking if
- 23:32Speaker 1: we're gonna reboot Scrubs. And I always, you know, because
- 23:35Speaker 1: we said yeah, we'll do it sometime. We will do
- 23:37Speaker 1: it sometime. Right, because it'll be fun and we love
- 23:41Speaker 1: each other. And that picture of all of us at
- 23:42Speaker 1: dinner and gives me joy whenever I see it. Um,
- 23:45Speaker 1: but none of us are you know, none of us
- 23:47Speaker 1: are like going like, oh, we have to make it
- 23:48Speaker 1: happen tomorrow. We'll just do it sometime. But don't you
- 23:52Speaker 1: think the three of us idiots should work together before
- 23:56Speaker 1: that and figure out a way to all work together.
- 23:58Speaker 1: You have to get along. I was you had me
- 24:02Speaker 1: when you said don't you think you had me when
- 24:07Speaker 1: you said it could be about uh, by the way,
- 24:15Speaker 1: it could be about an upstart podcast that I run. No,
- 24:24Speaker 1: but this this will be good as a cool savvy
- 24:28Speaker 1: producer named Joel and just a woman who can play Joel.
- 24:35Speaker 1: But man, you know we're good all we love We
- 24:39Speaker 1: love you man, and we we were dying to do
- 24:42Speaker 1: something with you. I never I was literally swiping tears
- 24:46Speaker 1: from laughter watching this episode Bill and and and it's
- 24:49Speaker 1: how many years ago, And it just makes me laugh
- 24:52Speaker 1: so hard, Uh said, are Obviously it goes without saying
- 24:56Speaker 1: we'd love to do anything with me. Well that's what's
- 24:58Speaker 1: that was. One of my other characters is steal your
- 25:00Speaker 1: idea guy. So you want to if you want to
- 25:05Speaker 1: bring guests in the same what it would be funny
- 25:07Speaker 1: to see Zach Kindonald do together. That's a good runner
- 25:11Speaker 1: for season seven. Steal it? Yes, instead of this is great?
- 25:15Speaker 1: All right, I just need a legal disclaimer. Yeah, your idea.
- 25:20Speaker 1: If you make the mistake saying what your idea is
- 25:23Speaker 1: and anything close to your idea shows up, that's not
- 25:26Speaker 1: my problem. Are you carrying on the show? Carrying on
- 25:29Speaker 1: the sign you're gonna have to sign something like if
- 25:31Speaker 1: we actually make a show out of it, they get
- 25:34Speaker 1: like a checker, they get a T shirt, they get
- 25:39Speaker 1: you know, but how fun would it be for season seven?
- 25:41Speaker 1: Is instead of fix your life? And instead of random questions,
- 25:43Speaker 1: it's just pitch your idea for the Zack and Donald
- 25:46Speaker 1: the Laren Show. How many times do you think we'd
- 25:49Speaker 1: be werewolves? Your dr Acula would be dr We have
- 26:01Speaker 1: to make a role that you can't pitch dr aculate. Okay,
- 26:04Speaker 1: so alright, you can't. Let's get it can't be related
- 26:09Speaker 1: to Scrubs because then then then it's owned by somebody else.
- 26:11Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about all right, so this is official.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Instead of fix your life, the new segment at the
- 26:18Speaker 1: end of the show, is your idea that will do next? Yeah?
- 26:21Speaker 1: What is that? To scrubs? I heeart at gmail dot com. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: and there you go. And this is why, this is
- 26:30Speaker 1: why this podcast belongs to Bill. Guys, it happens, what happens.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Joel has time to figure out the document that people
- 26:39Speaker 1: need to sign from. When we actually make the show,
- 26:43Speaker 1: I'd say, by Zack, you've been around it before. If
- 26:45Speaker 1: anybody makes a mistake of talking about an idea in
- 26:48Speaker 1: front of me, I generally say I own. But we
- 26:53Speaker 1: know from doing the show with you that you'd be like,
- 26:54Speaker 1: what did you guys do this weekend? A week later, Hey,
- 27:00Speaker 1: we're a little stuck in the writer's room. Why did
- 27:03Speaker 1: you guys do this weekend? We tried to get into
- 27:07Speaker 1: a club and I was wearing a giant clock around
- 27:10Speaker 1: my neck. And then that did not happen. Za, you
- 27:16Speaker 1: can almost believe it happened. Alright, So, Bill, I don't
- 27:23Speaker 1: know if you had a chance to watch the episode
- 27:24Speaker 1: or not, but we'll remind you of things. I didn't
- 27:26Speaker 1: watch it, but I read The Wicked Thing and I
- 27:28Speaker 1: remember it very well, and I have some good trivia
- 27:30Speaker 1: about it. All Right, before we do that. We're gonna
- 27:32Speaker 1: take a break. We'll be right back after right now,
- 27:40Speaker 1: and we're back. You're allowed. And he came in so
- 27:52Speaker 1: smooth with it, Bill, and we're back is really for
- 27:58Speaker 1: the host. Um, so we gotta take ano little break
- 28:01Speaker 1: for a second. We gott take ano little brood probably break. Now,
- 28:04Speaker 1: let's take a little break. We're back, you guys, now,
- 28:13Speaker 1: we're back back. Please don't the audience doesn't want to
- 28:16Speaker 1: hear unnecessary commercial. I got another character. So listen when
- 28:29Speaker 1: when Cox kicks everybody out of the lobby, Um, Bill,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I believe you're one of the people that's running out
- 28:39Speaker 1: of the gift shop and stealing from the gift shop. Yeah,
- 28:42Speaker 1: it takes something. But first of all, I didn't understand.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I didn't see your cameo, but I saw on scrubs
- 28:49Speaker 1: WICKI that it says you're one of the people. But
- 28:51Speaker 1: then I didn't understand why he caught screams everyone out
- 28:53Speaker 1: of the lobby, everyone out of here, and and and
- 28:56Speaker 1: and then people really they loose the gift shop. I
- 29:02Speaker 1: just want you to know that aside from my embarrassing
- 29:06Speaker 1: cameos which I intended, which is the priest and then
- 29:09Speaker 1: the janitor at the end. Every other cameo I had
- 29:12Speaker 1: on this show happened because you were shooting a scene
- 29:15Speaker 1: on the first floor and I was on the way
- 29:18Speaker 1: to the kitchen to steal or the top of a
- 29:22Speaker 1: muffin if I if I want to the kitchen and
- 29:26Speaker 1: they were doing something that I could put myself in,
- 29:29Speaker 1: I would stop and put myself out of sheer boredom
- 29:32Speaker 1: in my scrubs world. Um, you all the janitor um
- 29:36Speaker 1: and the and the and the minister in Bahamas are
- 29:38Speaker 1: the same guy. Yeah, that makes sense. They probably. By
- 29:45Speaker 1: the way, my favorite cameo I put myself in was
- 29:49Speaker 1: there was an episode with other people that the B
- 29:51Speaker 1: team had the voiceover. It was Christa and the Todd
- 29:54Speaker 1: and Sam Lloyd all had voiceovers in one episode and Chris,
- 29:58Speaker 1: We're in the coffee place, I was going to get
- 29:59Speaker 1: a call fee and she says the reason that she
- 30:02Speaker 1: was such a horrible person as that her parents were
- 30:04Speaker 1: very mean to her. And you can actually hear me
- 30:06Speaker 1: in the background in the line going apparently her parents
- 30:08Speaker 1: were very mean. Well, yeah, we did that one. We
- 30:11Speaker 1: did that episode and by the way, that was nobody
- 30:13Speaker 1: even knew I was going to say it's off, Mike,
- 30:14Speaker 1: because I just walked in there and said that I
- 30:16Speaker 1: was very probably about as Canada. You together is going
- 30:22Speaker 1: to have to have a component and I'm allowed to
- 30:23Speaker 1: walk in and say something when I feel like, Okay,
- 30:26Speaker 1: those of you, those of you prepared to picture ideas
- 30:28Speaker 1: right in random appearances of Bill. I love that all
- 30:31Speaker 1: your random appearances have to do with you going to
- 30:34Speaker 1: the kitchen to get a snack. I mean the show
- 30:37Speaker 1: whenever I was really hungry. Yeah, um, remember the John
- 30:42Speaker 1: Pujuice face? Do you remember the John Pujuice face? Where
- 30:44Speaker 1: he came to set every morning with the John pujuice
- 30:47Speaker 1: That was like three years in the room. Yeah, and
- 30:49Speaker 1: then we put it. We put that whole thing in
- 30:51Speaker 1: the show because I was weird about which one I liked.
- 30:54Speaker 1: And I think we had you saying that I can't
- 30:56Speaker 1: remember what it was orange goonge, which is not a
- 31:03Speaker 1: smoothie flavor. But you know so, Bill, I don't know
- 31:06Speaker 1: if you remember this, but after you loot the gift
- 31:09Speaker 1: shop because Cox has screamed, did everyone to go? A
- 31:12Speaker 1: plant stands up and made it made a plant walks out.
- 31:18Speaker 1: One of the top five worst things we've never done. Yeah.
- 31:21Speaker 1: And by the way, sto random asked me if the
- 31:25Speaker 1: animation is very good? Is the animation and good? Bill, No,
- 31:28Speaker 1: it's horrible at this day and age. Donald could have
- 31:34Speaker 1: done to stop motion and it looked really by the way,
- 31:37Speaker 1: Donald stop motions getting good. I'm working on it. He
- 31:39Speaker 1: leveled up, working on it. I'm working on it. Yeah.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Why is Colonel Doctor never invited to any Oh my god,
- 31:45Speaker 1: there's a really you just had an episode where's Sarah? Really?
- 31:49Speaker 1: This is Colonel Doctor in terms of her wedding invites?
- 31:52Speaker 1: And in this episode, Jordan's this is Colonel Doctor to
- 31:56Speaker 1: be invited to the bappotism. I po're gonna gets a
- 31:58Speaker 1: lot of hate in the hospital. Bill. By the way,
- 32:00Speaker 1: you know that you remember who Colonel Doctor's son is.
- 32:03Speaker 1: It's Lloyd. Yes, Mike Schwartz, a meth addicted back. You
- 32:12Speaker 1: guys remember the what Colonel Doctor's real name is? You're talking.
- 32:21Speaker 1: We're just watched most of the Crub's series. It's Cole
- 32:26Speaker 1: Slaw and Lloyd Slavsky and Lloyds Lloyd Slovsky, Mike Schwartz.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Mid Swartz has a few laughs in this episode because
- 32:35Speaker 1: he's to remind you that Jans replaced Doug. I believe
- 32:42Speaker 1: Johnny Castle is very funny on the outskirts watching, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: watching from the outside in. Let's just remind the audits
- 32:49Speaker 1: of a few plot points here. So the janitor in
- 32:51Speaker 1: this episode has has been invited to Sarah's wedding at
- 32:55Speaker 1: Elliott's wedding, and he's so shocked. He in fact, she
- 32:59Speaker 1: hugs him. And I don't think we've ever seen or
- 33:01Speaker 1: do ever see the janitor or maybe other than a lady,
- 33:04Speaker 1: we don't ever see him hug anybody else. Ah. He
- 33:07Speaker 1: hugs Carla up, but not really hugging. He's trying. He
- 33:10Speaker 1: hugs her and picks her up and shakes her back
- 33:12Speaker 1: and forth. Thank you for being in the picture. Okay,
- 33:16Speaker 1: that's right, that's right, that's right. But he gets a
- 33:19Speaker 1: hug from Blond doctor who we we know he has
- 33:22Speaker 1: a special place in his heart and um and Blonde
- 33:27Speaker 1: and then so then he assembles the brain Trust to
- 33:29Speaker 1: figure out how what he can get her as a
- 33:31Speaker 1: wedding president. And he's decided to kick Doug out of
- 33:34Speaker 1: the brain Trust and replaced Doug with Lloyd Lloyd Lusky. Yeah, yes,
- 33:40Speaker 1: he never he never thought Doug was offering that much
- 33:43Speaker 1: to the brain Trust. You right. In fact, the brain Trust,
- 33:46Speaker 1: we learned, have special pages, and he asked Doug to
- 33:49Speaker 1: return the special pager. Do you know who my favorite
- 33:52Speaker 1: brain Trust member was that we had trouble getting back
- 33:55Speaker 1: because I don't even know if she was acting or
- 33:57Speaker 1: doing other things. Mark, Yeah, crazy eyes. Margot did disappear,
- 34:06Speaker 1: so did Troy. Troy's gone. Troy's gone. Troy was by
- 34:10Speaker 1: the way, the brain Trust was always evolving, uh, and
- 34:13Speaker 1: it always gave me great joy to see it every
- 34:15Speaker 1: time I think Tarn was in the brain Trust for
- 34:17Speaker 1: a second. We haven't gotten to Terran yet. I can't
- 34:20Speaker 1: wait for this. Must be season seven, season seven. Here
- 34:23Speaker 1: we go, either season seven or eight, one of the other.
- 34:27Speaker 1: So there's a joke about how couples can finish each
- 34:31Speaker 1: other's sentences, and we think it's going to be but
- 34:34Speaker 1: then it's me Donald. I mean, and I tell you
- 34:41Speaker 1: that I hit it good, rowdy style. You gotta look
- 34:44Speaker 1: out because it's dangerous. I ain't netting happened to that baby? Yeah,
- 34:52Speaker 1: that's that's talking about having intercourse with a very pregnant woman. Um.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Donald's an expert in in in knowing, uh, how to
- 35:01Speaker 1: how to be careful? Wow? Was six Kids? Was Dr
- 35:07Speaker 1: Cox's um kids confirmation? In this the Baptist Baptist Baptist
- 35:15Speaker 1: was that like with the in the sun and do
- 35:17Speaker 1: we do? Because I think and then do we still?
- 35:19Speaker 1: Do we still? Was that with Cheryl Hines or was
- 35:21Speaker 1: that a different one the other one? Yeah, this is
- 35:24Speaker 1: what j this is with little j D with Yeah,
- 35:30Speaker 1: Jordan is is really fucking with Cox in this episode.
- 35:33Speaker 1: And she's made j d uh Jennifer, but she's made Yeah,
- 35:38Speaker 1: she made me the godfather. And Cox will do anything
- 35:41Speaker 1: he can to change this. He's he's just promising. She's
- 35:44Speaker 1: trying to negotiate with Jordan. He's trying to negotiate with
- 35:47Speaker 1: j D. If I remember correctly, you just said can
- 35:52Speaker 1: she be named Jennifer Dillon and she said sure? Why not?
- 35:55Speaker 1: I think so that is what happened. That's he didn't
- 36:00Speaker 1: show up for something and you were there. I think
- 36:02Speaker 1: he missed the birth right and Jordan's is just taking
- 36:06Speaker 1: such glee and kissing Perry off and the baby is
- 36:09Speaker 1: big already. Wow, it's only two episodes. You guys ever
- 36:18Speaker 1: talked about this on TV it's you've got two choices,
- 36:22Speaker 1: either the baby is big or like. I also don't
- 36:24Speaker 1: like cover in a one year old baby with fake
- 36:26Speaker 1: viscous stuff when it's born. I don't know, it always baby,
- 36:31Speaker 1: you know, but you have to do that because you
- 36:33Speaker 1: obviously can't use a newborn. You have to use a
- 36:36Speaker 1: young baby. And they put this like jelly on it
- 36:38Speaker 1: to make it look you can't use the fake baby.
- 36:39Speaker 1: The fake baby looks so bad it's terrifying. You know
- 36:42Speaker 1: what I can't believe we didn't do on a show
- 36:44Speaker 1: that had fantasies is the fact that we never did
- 36:48Speaker 1: a baby being born and the fantasy of it having
- 36:50Speaker 1: either Donald's or your face, Zack, and just being one
- 36:53Speaker 1: of already on a baby do we do? We have?
- 37:00Speaker 1: It was a special effects level. I mean we had
- 37:02Speaker 1: a plant to remember, floating head Doctors just that going
- 37:08Speaker 1: around like, yeah, it was fun to shoot Floating Head
- 37:13Speaker 1: Doctor because I would just put the green screen suit
- 37:15Speaker 1: on and just pop around. Didn't you wear that on Conan?
- 37:21Speaker 1: That was when I when I had done Oz the
- 37:23Speaker 1: Great and Powerful Um, and I was talking about being
- 37:26Speaker 1: the you know, the little bell hop monkey sidekick. I
- 37:31Speaker 1: we did a whole bit about how I. Conan asked
- 37:34Speaker 1: how he did it, and I said, you know, they
- 37:36Speaker 1: had a puppet and everything, but most of the time
- 37:38Speaker 1: it was it was better for the other actors, so
- 37:39Speaker 1: they just acted on me, acted off of me. So
- 37:41Speaker 1: I just wore like a green screen suit and like
- 37:43Speaker 1: duck down and then and then we did a whole
- 37:46Speaker 1: bit all right. The green screen suit was very revealing. Snug,
- 37:51Speaker 1: remember snug. Remember the photos that are online. Are you
- 37:55Speaker 1: covering up your junk with your hands? I remember being
- 37:58Speaker 1: snug and very cold. Apparently. I remember I made a
- 38:04Speaker 1: joke to him because I was nervous. I was self
- 38:07Speaker 1: conscious about being in the onesie, and I said, I'm
- 38:09Speaker 1: going to cover it because I don't want the audience
- 38:12Speaker 1: to see my moose knuckle. And he had never heard
- 38:15Speaker 1: that term, so he started cracking up at moose knut.
- 38:21Speaker 1: Proud moments, Proud moments. It was really funny. There's a
- 38:26Speaker 1: really funny gift of or maybe it's a video I
- 38:29Speaker 1: don't know, but of me like air humping in the
- 38:31Speaker 1: green screen suit on Conan and Andy Richter. And Conan's
- 38:35Speaker 1: faces are so funny. They're both like they both look
- 38:39Speaker 1: away all right. The gift ideas. Ted's gift idea for
- 38:48Speaker 1: blonde doctor's wedding is that he got his mom quote
- 38:52Speaker 1: the weird birth control saying that they so under your
- 38:55Speaker 1: arm skin. Yeah, it's funny because he got it for
- 39:01Speaker 1: his mom. Yeah, and his mom loves it. Apparently. Yeah,
- 39:04Speaker 1: apparently is a great gift. Happy birthday. Um. Lloyd suggests
- 39:09Speaker 1: um robbing someone's home and bringing all the all of
- 39:13Speaker 1: the thousands contents as the wedding gifts. Okay, I wrote
- 39:19Speaker 1: this down, and I hope I'm not skipping too for
- 39:22Speaker 1: I hope I'm not skipping your head. You're not my mom? Jim?
- 39:29Speaker 1: Is that is that? Okay? Okay, al right, next time,
- 39:33Speaker 1: let's that's fine to wait. I just wanted to say
- 39:36Speaker 1: that really quickly that the urologist that Kelso hates and
- 39:40Speaker 1: his fine rehiring Kim because he hates this eurologist on Scrubs,
- 39:45Speaker 1: Wicky says is Mike Henry, who was the voice of
- 39:49Speaker 1: Cleveland Brown. Um, he was from family guy. Oh got it,
- 39:56Speaker 1: got it? There you go. I didn't know that, but
- 39:58Speaker 1: that was and he had and was there and was
- 40:01Speaker 1: very popular because he had done You can still find
- 40:04Speaker 1: this on the internet. Um, I don't know if you
- 40:06Speaker 1: guys remember it he started, it would have been huge
- 40:09Speaker 1: now before things really like had TikTok and funny virals.
- 40:12Speaker 1: He invented the fake TV show called You've Been Kicked
- 40:15Speaker 1: in the Nuts. Yeah, I remember that, you just got
- 40:17Speaker 1: kicked in the nuts. And the whole thing was he
- 40:20Speaker 1: Mike Henry in a in a wig or it would
- 40:22Speaker 1: run up and kick people in the nuts and they
- 40:25Speaker 1: would chase him to try and beat him up, and uh,
- 40:28Speaker 1: he would interrupt with mam mam, ma'am, you've just been
- 40:31Speaker 1: kicked in the nuts, and your point camera and then
- 40:34Speaker 1: the guy or girl who got kicked in the nuts
- 40:36Speaker 1: would be so happy that they were on the TV
- 40:38Speaker 1: show I've never seen, by the way, But go go
- 40:43Speaker 1: online later and just do you've been kicked in the nuts?
- 40:46Speaker 1: You'll And then I think, doesn't I think Neil does
- 40:49Speaker 1: a couple of them to Neils, like all we all did.
- 40:52Speaker 1: A bunch of us did him. They were a huge
- 40:54Speaker 1: comedy writers back in the days. I should give a
- 40:59Speaker 1: shout out to Neil Goldman because he's one of Bill's
- 41:03Speaker 1: main writers on on one of his new shows and
- 41:06Speaker 1: I got yeah, sorry, I should say, he's show running
- 41:10Speaker 1: the new show Drinking. And I just got to spend
- 41:11Speaker 1: a lot of time with Hm when I was directing.
- 41:13Speaker 1: And he's so funny and such a good dude. Yeah,
- 41:16Speaker 1: so funny. So and you guys remember him from years
- 41:19Speaker 1: and he was one of the people that stayed I
- 41:22Speaker 1: think almost the whole way. I mean they went before
- 41:24Speaker 1: season nine, but they stayed through eight years. He's also
- 41:27Speaker 1: he's also he's also one of the writers. I mean
- 41:30Speaker 1: a few of the writers have done this, but he's
- 41:32Speaker 1: also one of the writers I've had major success after
- 41:35Speaker 1: where he's gone on to show run and create his
- 41:37Speaker 1: own shows on other networks since well, the original staff
- 41:40Speaker 1: of that show, almost everybody created their own show or
- 41:46Speaker 1: ran another great show or one Emmy's for something else.
- 41:49Speaker 1: They were all at that the original staff that shows
- 41:50Speaker 1: all rock stars. I just didn't want of Gabby. I
- 41:53Speaker 1: just did one of Gabby shows. I did, uh did
- 41:57Speaker 1: you these? Yeah house Pets? Yeah? Yeah, very funny man,
- 42:02Speaker 1: very funny. Um Neil, I said, we gotta have you
- 42:07Speaker 1: on the podcast, and he goes, what podcast? Right? Yeah, right, No.
- 42:14Speaker 1: He was doing every time for his name. That's just
- 42:17Speaker 1: how he rolls. He literally listens to see if his
- 42:20Speaker 1: name ever gets mentioned. He's we delighted that he got
- 42:21Speaker 1: a shout out in this one. All right, j D
- 42:24Speaker 1: approaches the new nurses stand and says, hey, Roger. Re
- 42:28Speaker 1: Run probably the most mentioned sitcom in the entire run
- 42:31Speaker 1: of What's Happening NET connect with Sanford song right, but
- 42:37Speaker 1: What's Happening does get a lot of shoutouts, including a
- 42:40Speaker 1: cameo from from Rerun. Yeah, r I P Man. He
- 42:43Speaker 1: was awesome that day. By the way, you guys watched that.
- 42:47Speaker 1: So many crew members snuck into that big dancing fantasy.
- 42:52Speaker 1: It's amazing everybody. Spiller Spiller, who is an avid listener,
- 42:56Speaker 1: are one of our favorite directors. Michael Spiller is in
- 42:59Speaker 1: there at he was obviously directing that episode. He's got
- 43:02Speaker 1: He's got the outfit on. If he wasn't directing that episode.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It's a new level of intrusion that just that day
- 43:10Speaker 1: I heard we run Perry's in here. I gotta get
- 43:15Speaker 1: in the picture. But yeah, hey, hey, Hey, what's happening?
- 43:17Speaker 1: Roger was probably neck and neck with Stanford the Sun.
- 43:22Speaker 1: You forget, like even in Donald's brain Fantasy with uh,
- 43:26Speaker 1: Carla and Heather Graham and Sarah all in there and
- 43:30Speaker 1: we're inside Donald's brain. The background music is the Sanford
- 43:33Speaker 1: the Sun theme song Bump. That was my favorite. It
- 43:42Speaker 1: really was my It really was my favorite show. Which
- 43:45Speaker 1: one What's Happening or Sanford Sun? What's Happening? It was
- 43:49Speaker 1: my favorite show as a kid. It was great. I'm
- 43:51Speaker 1: gonna tell mama, Yeah, I'll tell mama. These kids today
- 43:55Speaker 1: will never know the genius of What's Happening. So Carla asked, Elliott,
- 44:00Speaker 1: did you do that thing that all guys want us
- 44:02Speaker 1: to do? What is this thing? Or? No? Wait, but
- 44:06Speaker 1: I think it's meant to be. I can remember, I
- 44:09Speaker 1: can remember me. Somebody's finished the setup. You finished these
- 44:11Speaker 1: writers from talking about this. I assume it's meant to
- 44:14Speaker 1: be just a left up for interpretation for everyone's mind.
- 44:19Speaker 1: I actually threesome gets discounted because you see later that
- 44:23Speaker 1: there's not it's not a threesome. But she says, did
- 44:26Speaker 1: you do that thing all guys want us to do
- 44:28Speaker 1: but we swore we'd never do? Well. She says that
- 44:30Speaker 1: because Keiths acting keeps acting like a freaking like whatever
- 44:34Speaker 1: she wants him to do, he's doing it, and he's
- 44:36Speaker 1: doing it happily, Carla says, no, I'm saving that bullet
- 44:40Speaker 1: for a diamond tennis bracelet. Now, later on in the episode,
- 44:44Speaker 1: Carla is proudly wearing a diamond tennis in the bed.
- 44:49Speaker 1: So now build, Am I correct that you wanted the
- 44:52Speaker 1: audience to just insert whatever thing that they punish. Yes,
- 44:56Speaker 1: one of my favorite things about sex really in comedy,
- 45:00Speaker 1: and this is not the most famous version of this.
- 45:03Speaker 1: I have been asked so many times, Um, what Jake
- 45:10Speaker 1: character played by Josh Randall whispered to Elliott before sun
- 45:16Speaker 1: and we needed Elliott read to break up with this
- 45:19Speaker 1: character Jake uh was on the show, ed, Um, Josh
- 45:24Speaker 1: Randy's a funny actor, and we couldn't think of why.
- 45:27Speaker 1: So she and met you remember back in that episode
- 45:29Speaker 1: she said, We finally came up with she should say,
- 45:32Speaker 1: you should be able to tell me what your fantasies
- 45:34Speaker 1: are and what you would really like us to do together. Okay,
- 45:38Speaker 1: and then we cut He's he sported to whisper and
- 45:41Speaker 1: we cut outside. She's walking out, gone, We're done each
- 45:43Speaker 1: Oh my god. And that's when we decided that any
- 45:49Speaker 1: time that we're stuck like that, it's better to say
- 45:53Speaker 1: like everybody knows what it is, and then just with
- 45:55Speaker 1: the audience decide and then you can judge when you
- 45:58Speaker 1: meet people how disturbed they are. Right. But also it
- 46:02Speaker 1: allows you to not say anything to uh uh naughty
- 46:08Speaker 1: on on NBC. I guess it gets you around uh no,
- 46:11Speaker 1: because your imagination automatically does is bad, man, I will
- 46:15Speaker 1: say this time, you guys have said it. All I
- 46:17Speaker 1: know is that Carly got he said his first. You
- 46:20Speaker 1: guys have said it before, And I don't know if
- 46:22Speaker 1: I'm proud or not proud. I feel for Network Television
- 46:26Speaker 1: that Scrubs is top five filthiest shows. It is. I mean,
- 46:33Speaker 1: I can't believe you when people tell me they're watching
- 46:35Speaker 1: this with their kids, because I'm watching it now at
- 46:37Speaker 1: forty seven and I'm being like, oh my god, I
- 46:39Speaker 1: would never watch my kid. I tell my daughters and
- 46:42Speaker 1: I tell my daughter and my son to leave the room. Yeah,
- 46:46Speaker 1: I put it on you guys. Guys gotta get out
- 46:48Speaker 1: of here. I think Matt tars has told me he
- 46:50Speaker 1: was all proud that his like thirteen year old was
- 46:52Speaker 1: watching the show at the time, and then he was like, oh,
- 46:54Speaker 1: this kind of feel proud. He's kind of circling back
- 46:56Speaker 1: and watching one of my shows, and then he walked
- 46:58Speaker 1: in the room and like walked right account because it
- 47:00Speaker 1: was so uncomfortable. Well, you know, at the you know,
- 47:06Speaker 1: to remind the audience that at the time there was
- 47:08Speaker 1: no streaming. There was there was The half hour comedy
- 47:12Speaker 1: was was as I as I remember, solely on network TV,
- 47:16Speaker 1: and you were trying to see how far you could
- 47:19Speaker 1: push it. So we had not not just for being
- 47:21Speaker 1: filthy for filthy sake, but remember I would say the
- 47:23Speaker 1: number one show was Will and Grace. They pushed it.
- 47:27Speaker 1: They pushed it real far. I mean we did. We
- 47:30Speaker 1: did have bulge jiggle in this episode, but Will and
- 47:35Speaker 1: Grace did push it. Yeah, we got and I believe
- 47:38Speaker 1: it's not the final bulge because this bill let's just
- 47:42Speaker 1: get to it, because we'll come we'll circle back to
- 47:44Speaker 1: this stuff. Remember one of the rules of this show
- 47:48Speaker 1: that I said earlier, we had beat full women, female
- 47:50Speaker 1: actresses on this show and uh and very handsome men
- 47:54Speaker 1: and as such a strong diverse riding staff. That we said,
- 47:58Speaker 1: if we're going to enter the world of sex and
- 48:00Speaker 1: sex comedy and we're gonna show girls and underwear doing
- 48:04Speaker 1: sexy things, it had to be equal opportunity representation in
- 48:08Speaker 1: the filthiness and in the revealing this. So there's just
- 48:11Speaker 1: as much, by the way Todd in Banana hammocks exists
- 48:15Speaker 1: about it. I know it exists because we're like, you
- 48:18Speaker 1: can't just go, oh, Sarah, you gotta be in a
- 48:21Speaker 1: braw and underwear in this, you know, without going Donald,
- 48:24Speaker 1: you have to be. So I was in the sock too. Well.
- 48:33Speaker 1: All I know is there was a bit of jiggle
- 48:35Speaker 1: with the bulge. Let's talk about the bulge. We'll come
- 48:38Speaker 1: back that we were jumping in, but we'll come back.
- 48:40Speaker 1: So the janitor gets everyone together in the in the
- 48:43Speaker 1: break room, the brain trust and his scenario. They're trying
- 48:47Speaker 1: to the kidnap Keith and they're trying to run him
- 48:49Speaker 1: through being trying to make sure he's a good husband
- 48:54Speaker 1: to Elliott. Now, the first thing is he says an example,
- 49:00Speaker 1: he used an example. How are you going to be
- 49:02Speaker 1: if she loses the ability to use vowels? He gives
- 49:11Speaker 1: an example of her talking. He goes, he goes, he goes,
- 49:14Speaker 1: he goes, Oh yeah, he goes, he goes. That's wait first,
- 49:16Speaker 1: it goes you'd be the janitor I'll be Keith. All right,
- 49:21Speaker 1: you ready go? You gotta do the first part where
- 49:23Speaker 1: he goes, so, how are you gonna do when he
- 49:26Speaker 1: wakes you? Behave if she? How are you gonna behave
- 49:28Speaker 1: if she loses the ability to use vowels? That's ridiculous,
- 49:33Speaker 1: And then he goes, oh yeah, he goes. He goes,
- 49:36Speaker 1: I find that. I find that to be a very
- 49:38Speaker 1: poor answer for when somebody wakes up and they say,
- 49:42Speaker 1: I can't even do the ship. Dude, he does like me,
- 49:45Speaker 1: he's just made up by Neil. But it's like I
- 49:52Speaker 1: can't do it because I'm saying it and stuff like that.
- 49:54Speaker 1: But he was able to Oh, it's Neil being hilarious. Man, alright,
- 50:00Speaker 1: So so wait, that's the first thing. And then the
- 50:03Speaker 1: janitor comes up with a rehearsal scenario, and the janitors
- 50:06Speaker 1: uh sets up the scenario where Keith has brought home
- 50:09Speaker 1: his gay ultimate frisbee teammate Lambs, played played by Todd Todd,
- 50:20Speaker 1: and Rob goes, I should probably take my pants off,
- 50:26Speaker 1: and then janitor goes, wait for your cue, waiting for
- 50:29Speaker 1: your queue, and then Rob sits down next to to
- 50:38Speaker 1: Keith and he stands up and he pulls off like
- 50:42Speaker 1: bel Crow pulls off the fucking his pants and he's
- 50:45Speaker 1: wearing his sparkled regal bulgy sparkled red. But yes, of
- 50:53Speaker 1: course he is. And there's definitely jingle. There's definitely there's
- 51:01Speaker 1: no way you get away with that not real jiggle,
- 51:05Speaker 1: but there's definitely jiggle. No, I think it's real. I
- 51:08Speaker 1: think he's well downed, Bill. I have to tell you,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I thought this was I thought this was the season.
- 51:13Speaker 1: We moved to ABC after it, and I was like,
- 51:15Speaker 1: this is definitely why they said no more. But that
- 51:17Speaker 1: happen because Odds Banana Hammock was never visible on ABC.
- 51:23Speaker 1: He always had to be shot from the waist up. Yeah. Yeah.
- 51:26Speaker 1: And by the way, this is also because I mean,
- 51:29Speaker 1: I'm sure people figured it out by now, but the
- 51:31Speaker 1: writers had long ago decided that Todd was um. We
- 51:36Speaker 1: didn't even say bisexual. We said at one time, I
- 51:40Speaker 1: think we said metrosexual. That he will have sex with anything, anything.
- 51:44Speaker 1: But I don't know if that's the right. What is
- 51:45Speaker 1: the right? You're opened it if you're opened up everything, Joel,
- 51:50Speaker 1: you're fluid, right, that's the right way to say that.
- 51:51Speaker 1: You could say fluid. You might say Polly actual relationships
- 51:57Speaker 1: with people, UM, young and old age. He doesn't care
- 52:01Speaker 1: about age, respects hot regardless of the age or gender.
- 52:07Speaker 1: He said that was on the show. Yeah, But I
- 52:10Speaker 1: want to say the funniest, the hardest I laughed was
- 52:13Speaker 1: when after the banana Hannas revealed you cut to Lloyd
- 52:17Speaker 1: and he wins. He literally goes as that was a
- 52:25Speaker 1: real reaction, not a character reaction. It was so funny
- 52:30Speaker 1: because you guys know, Rob is the type of guy
- 52:32Speaker 1: that would do it for his off camera as he's
- 52:37Speaker 1: such a giving actor that he would reveal the banana
- 52:39Speaker 1: hammock for off camera. Um, Doug suggests, let's circle back.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Doug suggests a tour in the wine country for his gift,
- 52:49Speaker 1: and and then Ted says, we can't control what kind
- 52:52Speaker 1: of husband he's going to be. And then Janner puts
- 52:55Speaker 1: on sunglasses and says, can we who has the sunglasses
- 53:01Speaker 1: on their head? Somebody has a sunglasses probably Lloyd And
- 53:04Speaker 1: he let me borrow your sunglasses real quick, put on
- 53:07Speaker 1: just so he could do that, and then he goes yeah,
- 53:10Speaker 1: and then he says repeat it, and so Sam repeats
- 53:13Speaker 1: it exactly the same. Almost he almost doesn't exactly the same.
- 53:17Speaker 1: He's late on the queue with his with his hand,
- 53:19Speaker 1: but he realizes he's late to Yo Sam Lloyd dude, genius, genious, dude,
- 53:28Speaker 1: genius man so almost having Sam was having fun this episode.
- 53:32Speaker 1: He was like he was, he was, he was extra playing.
- 53:35Speaker 1: He was funny. Anyway, he repeats the line the janitor
- 53:39Speaker 1: does it with the sunglasses. Uh. Don we see j
- 53:42Speaker 1: D writing in his Unicorn journal. You have Jordan's call
- 53:45Speaker 1: me Nancy no chin, which I found hurtful even this
- 53:48Speaker 1: game years later. Buddy, buddy, you have more of a
- 53:56Speaker 1: chin than I do. Right now, your chill looks good.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Don't have that? You know I don't have that much
- 54:01Speaker 1: of a chin. And turn when you turn sideways. You're right,
- 54:04Speaker 1: you don't. But straight on, thank you, Zack, you and
- 54:07Speaker 1: I can't be wow. Angled guys we had. I once
- 54:10Speaker 1: had a critic right about me, the weak chinned breath.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Oh god, Dick, it was so hard. It made me
- 54:18Speaker 1: so sad. But then here I am and my best
- 54:20Speaker 1: friends having a good character called me Nancy no chin.
- 54:25Speaker 1: That wasn't That wasn't. That was about j D the character,
- 54:27Speaker 1: not about Okay, what's that story? I know? I know
- 54:33Speaker 1: you meant it, rich Ya, They'll call, they'll call, I'll
- 54:46Speaker 1: call eventually. That was a horrible play, good as anybody
- 54:50Speaker 1: could be in it. That was that's Richard's for you, guys.
- 54:55Speaker 1: Richard kind complimented Sarah Chalk, I won't say which one,
- 55:00Speaker 1: and he's so honest that Sarah said, what do you think?
- 55:03Speaker 1: And he goes, oh, that was a horrible play, just horrible,
- 55:07Speaker 1: but you were as good as anyone could be in it. Uh.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Bill's first a d on The Harrison Ford Show is
- 55:21Speaker 1: is a friend of Bills and also one of Richard
- 55:23Speaker 1: Kine's best friends. And I sent Richard a picture of
- 55:29Speaker 1: of he and I um a selfie that I took
- 55:32Speaker 1: with Ben is his name, and I sent it to
- 55:34Speaker 1: Richard and Uh, I said, we're We're on the Harrison
- 55:37Speaker 1: Ford Show. And Richard writes back, Harrison looks great, solid.
- 55:55Speaker 1: It's funny. I wanted him to play my father in
- 55:58Speaker 1: this movie I'm doing, and he couldn't work out the dates.
- 56:01Speaker 1: But I was almost going to do it, and I've
- 56:04Speaker 1: read the entire movie with his with the dad being
- 56:08Speaker 1: his voice it should have been and now no one
- 56:11Speaker 1: can ever live up to that voice being my father.
- 56:14Speaker 1: I just got a random um message from somebody else
- 56:20Speaker 1: that you should have on the show. I won't read it,
- 56:22Speaker 1: but I was trying to find it, uh, because he
- 56:25Speaker 1: was on this. Have you had Alan Rock on yet? No,
- 56:28Speaker 1: we don't have Alan. What are you doing? Yeah, he's
- 56:32Speaker 1: crushing on succession. By the way, he's so good. That
- 56:36Speaker 1: shows awesome and such a really good Alright, so let's
- 56:39Speaker 1: just keep going. J D says he's gonna go right
- 56:42Speaker 1: in his journal. Um, I'm so tired. I could use
- 56:46Speaker 1: a naptism because he's trying to rhyme baptism and then
- 56:52Speaker 1: he goes, I should, and he goes, I'm gonna use that,
- 56:54Speaker 1: and he goes, I should write down pause for laughs,
- 56:57Speaker 1: So I don't forget to because he's so sure that
- 57:03Speaker 1: the naptism jokes can crush. Yeah, that was almost lifted.
- 57:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you, guys, a funny joke that was almost
- 57:10Speaker 1: lifted from an episode of Friends and someone else wrote
- 57:13Speaker 1: It's not me. It was so funny, but it was
- 57:16Speaker 1: mattel Blanc's character who was a bad actor. Do you
- 57:18Speaker 1: guys remember this as actors? You love this? They had him,
- 57:22Speaker 1: they had him doing an audition and he had to
- 57:24Speaker 1: do bad at it, you know what I mean. And
- 57:26Speaker 1: so he's got his script like this, and he actually goes, uh,
- 57:30Speaker 1: that wasn't me and I don't care what you say.
- 57:32Speaker 1: Long pause. So now we're, um, what hey, guys, guys, guys,
- 57:42Speaker 1: we gotta go to a quick commercial. Quick commercial. We
- 57:56Speaker 1: actually did have to. We actually did have to go
- 57:58Speaker 1: to a commercial. So Bill, thank you for throwing we
- 58:02Speaker 1: frown upon the guests throwing the commercially like that product.
- 58:08Speaker 1: I use, I like how, I like how, I'm like, no, Bill,
- 58:17Speaker 1: and then Daniels like, we actually do need to do it,
- 58:18Speaker 1: all right. So circling back, this is when Sam yells,
- 58:27Speaker 1: now I ran on scrubs Wicky that this guy who
- 58:29Speaker 1: plays the other lawyer was a famous TV lawyer, advertising lawyer.
- 58:35Speaker 1: In fact, at the time of the airing. I assume
- 58:37Speaker 1: this is how you found him. Bill. He was the
- 58:39Speaker 1: largest TV lawyer advertiser guy. And so the woman is
- 58:47Speaker 1: asked to pick between him and Sam to be her lawyer.
- 58:52Speaker 1: And I'm saying you did a cameo with I guess
- 58:54Speaker 1: the guy who was a famous advertising TV lawyer, and
- 58:57Speaker 1: and the woman is trying to choose between him and
- 59:00Speaker 1: and sam Ted and uh Ted braggs my mom calls
- 59:06Speaker 1: me thunder right, and she chooses the other guy and
- 59:10Speaker 1: the other to break thunder and my mom, jim my mom.
- 59:20Speaker 1: I got a cool thing about this episode that you
- 59:23Speaker 1: might think his back towards the end. Are we close
- 59:25Speaker 1: to the end. Yes, we're now going to talk about
- 59:27Speaker 1: j D and Elliott in bed together. I don't know
- 59:30Speaker 1: how they got in bed together. They were in separate
- 59:32Speaker 1: bunks talking about how they both felt trapped. And now
- 59:35Speaker 1: all of a sudden we cut back, and there's been
- 59:38Speaker 1: some missing dialogue because that were now they're in a
- 59:40Speaker 1: single bed together cuddling. Well, now they were my eyes.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Are my eyes going bad? Though? Was that? Was it
- 59:46Speaker 1: like out of focus, like foggy? I think there was
- 59:49Speaker 1: a filter run into making the romantic or something a filter.
- 59:53Speaker 1: It's here's what was more interesting. There's two things were
- 59:56Speaker 1: fascinated by this. One is remember I thought forever this
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: show would, in any way, shape or form, be about
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: will Elliott and j D end up together? And the
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: rest of the writers you lost the battle with yourself,
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: Bill Well, the rest of the writers were like, it's inevitable.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: All Remember I tried to blow it up the first
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: year and all that stuff, and so we we in
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the in the that's the break room we've established a
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: thousand times, and we're like, these two are both sucking
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: up here, so why can't they both end up just
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: shooting the ship and talking like it's an ocuus. And
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: then I had to tell I told Christa she had
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: to find a perfect song that built to a huge, huge,
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: huge crescendo, because I said, if we're gonna do it,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: we're gonna funk with the fans and have it seem
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: like they're on the verge of hooking up furious and
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: then just go to that. That song was perfect. Um,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: it's Alive with the Glory of love. Yeah, you're just thing.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: If you listen to the song, it's about a love
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: story in the concentration camps. Uh so that's what's so
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: much thing about music. Um, look up the words right
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: now and uh you'll see alive with the ory. But
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: it was perfect because it is about longing and whether
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: or not you can be together. And Krista played it
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: for me and I'm like, oh, I don't know because
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: of the words, Uh, if we can use this, we
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: added some of that part out um and uh. I
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: thought it was perfect because it and then it goes black.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I thought it was awesome. Yeah, it was good. It
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: was it was well done, and it definitely builds up
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, they're gonna kiss, They're gonna
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: kiss there and Kis and then you're hard cut the
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: black and it's like, that's a that's a good way
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: to end the season. Yeah, And while we see your
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: two significant others being um a lot. I know we're
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: horrible people. Yeah, you guys got a little bit of
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: of horrible in you. You got a little bit of
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: horrible in you. I mean, the audience is rooting for it, obviously,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: but the audience got a the audience got a little
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: bit of horrible in them too. Loan, Let's just be honest,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: because if you're rooting for this, if you're rooting for
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: this knowing what's that steak on the other side, of course,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: but you but you have you, that's not how you
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: appreciate something. The audience is going. I am so invested
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: in these two. I love them. They're both about I
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: audience member think they're both about to make big mistakes,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: both of them, and they should be together. You know
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: it's all it's all it's all Bills and his team's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: great writing that makes the audience so invested in them
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: and wants them to be together. Well, can I just
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: tell you, guys the thing about the music? So I
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: brought up the lyrics. I think it's interesting because sometimes
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: songs match perfectly for lyrically for a show or a moment,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: but sometimes it's about an emotional feeling. You get yeah,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: alive with the glory of love. If you listen to
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: it again, it says the opening verses when I watch
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: you want to do you right where you're standing, which
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: is a great start, but it says right on the foyer,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: on the stark day plain view of the whole ghetto,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the boot stopped meadows, and then the refrain is I
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: won't let them take you. Won't let them take you.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Hello notes. So it's literally about a couple in love
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: in a concentration camp. But the feeling for our it's
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a great song, and the feeling for our show was
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: so right. We did it anyways, and I was really interesting.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I always expected to get bumped back from that from
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: people going, oh my god, what are the lyrics? But
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I just thought the song was amazing. You might you might,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: you know if you did it today in the era
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: of everyone opening on on everything. But back in in
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the day people you cut if you cut the lyrics
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: craftily knowing whatever did. But my advice gost in that
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: song alive with the glory of love by saying anything.
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: It's really good if I say anything anyway, like the
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Genius movie. Hey, everybody, that is season six. Um, I
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: want to thank our very special guests, the creator of
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: the universe of Scrubs, Mr Bill Lawrence. But before we go,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: Before we go, we have to cut to one quick commercial.
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: You guys know the ace I think I don't. The
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: audience isn't gonna like the extra break joke that long? Um, well,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: they gotta have to do with it this episode, Zach, Zach,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: are you done with the extra break joke? Yes, I'm
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: very done with the extra break joke, So wish I'd
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: record this. This is why I'm not done with it. Um.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: So everybody, just to remind you, um, you will be
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: a little break at Joel when does UM seven to one,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: which we did at a drive in, is gonna hear
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: when Joel sept September And then we are going to
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: be on break Um until October. I believe right youell
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: that is correct, and I will say now, no matter what,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: in October, I will debut you my new character. Zach
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: will not know who it is. Daniel Donald and I
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: will talk about beforehand, and we'll see if Zach can
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: see it coming, he will forget it. Also, get your
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: pitches ready, guys, get your pitches ready for the next
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: project that might be after Scrubs is done. That might
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: be your next podcast, the making of Bill Donald Zack Show. Yeah,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: that's a great idea. That's Hey, we're really looking for
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: what when we're dumban scrubs with the show is gonna be?
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: How great? It would be a podcast about the behind
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: the scenes making of the news Zack and Donald TV
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: show with Bill Lawrence. I like that a lot. I'm in.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: I mean, we should probably do spin City first, but
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I like that too. I like it. Okay, let's go
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: spin City on. I liked an idea spin City. There's
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: black people in spin City. By the way, the only
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: the only really really white show I did was Sugar Top.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Was that really white? Uh Ian Gomez was what everybody
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: else it's called it called a Sack and Roll Florida. Alright,
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: on that note, we're gonna end season six. Thank you, Joel,
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: thank you, Daniel. You guys are amazing. Um, you do
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: so much for the show, and we want to thank you.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: And Donald I love you very much. No you don't,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I do know you don't. I want to. I want
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: to thank the four of you. You're not allowed to
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: thank great air of my podcast. Bill. Usually the guests
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: don't thinkable, Bill, should we go to break? You think
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: we should go to break? Right? Well, Bill, you out break,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: so just go do a quick break quick break. You
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: guys do not put all those greats. They just all
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: they had time for was to go sparklets like the
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: hotter dat Sparklets doesn't have a through that all right,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: We love you guys. Five six stories about Shure. We
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: made about a bunch of docs and nurses and Jana said,
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: he stares, so get around you here. Yeah, they're around
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: here for three
