- 0:21Speaker 1: Halloween Week with Wikied and Grim. My name is Jacko
- 0:28Speaker 1: and I am your master of ceremonies and will be
- 0:32Speaker 1: for the next three days.
- 0:36Speaker 2: We've toured through the.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Ideas of urban legends.
- 0:41Speaker 2: We've played games and heard stories glow that will turn
- 0:46Speaker 2: your soul. But these have only been fun so far.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Now we get a little more serious, a little more
- 0:56Speaker 2: darker and twisted with our final urban legend't to do so, however,
- 1:03Speaker 2: we need our hosts as always, so without further ado,
- 1:10Speaker 2: here is Ben and Nicole.
- 1:14Speaker 3: It's the final countdown. Do I was chosen to take
- 1:20Speaker 3: it quite to the level, but then you did, so
- 1:22Speaker 3: I went with it.
- 1:23Speaker 4: How can you not start doing that too?
- 1:26Speaker 3: Countdown? Delute?
- 1:27Speaker 4: Like see I just if you do that, I'm gonna
- 1:30Speaker 4: go dilute it right away. It happens.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I can't believe how it's just like the week just
- 1:34Speaker 3: flying by it.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I know we're on the final three days. Wow, it's insane.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Wow. I know it's funny because we want some messages
- 1:42Speaker 3: of what people are being going to be, Like, how
- 1:44Speaker 3: the heck am I going to go back to just
- 1:46Speaker 3: like one day a week of this, I know, right, Like,
- 1:49Speaker 3: what are you doing to me?
- 1:51Speaker 4: It's it's been fun doing this, but trust me, it's
- 1:54Speaker 4: been hard to maintain. But we're loving this. This is
- 1:57Speaker 4: so much fun, and you guys are making it just
- 2:00Speaker 4: incredibly fun to put this out there. So thank you, guys.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I think if we didn't have like our other jobs,
- 2:05Speaker 3: it would be totally doable.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Oh definitely.
- 2:08Speaker 3: But but then also too, like just being a listener too.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I think if like a podcast literally had one out
- 2:13Speaker 3: every day, you'd get like drastically behind Ary, oh for sure,
- 2:16Speaker 3: for sure.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Yeah, So I don't know either way. We're doing our best.
- 2:20Speaker 4: We're getting stuff out there, and so far it's been
- 2:23Speaker 4: a great week.
- 2:24Speaker 3: We're having fun doing it. Yeah, which is the most
- 2:26Speaker 3: important thing.
- 2:27Speaker 4: And what you've got for us today, I'm super stoked
- 2:30Speaker 4: for I know of this.
- 2:32Speaker 3: We do Actually, I know you might even have some
- 2:34Speaker 3: like stuff to throw in there.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I doubt it. It's been a while since if I
- 2:39Speaker 4: if I can think of it, I will. It's been
- 2:41Speaker 4: a while since I've really dove into this, and I
- 2:43Speaker 4: haven't dove too deep. But I definitely introduced you to
- 2:46Speaker 4: this case and you're like, I want to fucking do that.
- 2:48Speaker 4: So here we are.
- 2:49Speaker 3: And I didn't find it overly stressful this case, and
- 2:51Speaker 3: that's the case is I find like, well stressful, like
- 2:55Speaker 3: they're sad or whatever. But like the research actually you
- 3:00Speaker 3: just kind of like flowed and it was just good.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It was so. But after researching this case, one thing
- 3:08Speaker 3: I'm unsure about is if I will ever be able
- 3:10Speaker 3: to look at a child the same way.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Children as scary as fuck f YI.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so this is the case that the black eyed children,
- 3:19Speaker 3: yes are black eyed kids. Sometimes they refer to as
- 3:23Speaker 3: b e k's. Have you heard of that.
- 3:26Speaker 4: I haven't heard that.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Apparently I'm not going to really refer to them much
- 3:29Speaker 3: as that, But that was one thing that I found out,
- 3:32Speaker 3: so and I'm going to put a little warning out there,
- 3:36Speaker 3: so proceed at your own risk, because not just one,
- 3:40Speaker 3: but a couple articles I read said black eyed children
- 3:43Speaker 3: only approach those that already know about them dun And
- 3:50Speaker 3: so by the time I found out about this, I
- 3:52Speaker 3: was already in pretty damn deep. So but there's also
- 3:56Speaker 3: stories of people encountering these children that had like absolutely
- 3:59Speaker 3: no idea, and so I mean, you might just be
- 4:02Speaker 3: doomed either way.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I think that's yeah, absolutely malarkey that they only approach
- 4:05Speaker 4: people they know of, because let me put it this way,
- 4:08Speaker 4: somewhere someone had to have been the first to encounter
- 4:12Speaker 4: black eyed children, tu sche so black eyed children would
- 4:16Speaker 4: have had to approach them them not knowing about it.
- 4:18Speaker 3: So there was lots of stories, like even one I
- 4:21Speaker 3: have in here where they didn't know about it. But
- 4:25Speaker 3: you know what, I just was like, I'm just gonna
- 4:26Speaker 3: put that warning in there. I don't want any anything
- 4:29Speaker 3: on my back. So if you proceed and this happens
- 4:32Speaker 3: to you, that's on you.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Yeah, fair enough, you have been warned.
- 4:36Speaker 3: You've been warned. Okay. So I'd say this is a
- 4:40Speaker 3: pretty popular urban legend as well. There are many reports
- 4:43Speaker 3: out there people saying they've encountered these children. But to start,
- 4:49Speaker 3: what exactly are these children? Well, for one, they're creepy
- 4:52Speaker 3: as fuck, Yes they are, hence me never being able
- 4:56Speaker 3: to look at a child the same way again. But
- 4:59Speaker 3: at first plants they generally look like normal human children,
- 5:03Speaker 3: not necessarily threatening. They are between the ages of six
- 5:06Speaker 3: and sixteen, with pale skin. But the real kicker, and
- 5:11Speaker 3: I'm sure you've guessed it. Their eyes are completely black,
- 5:16Speaker 3: described as black orbs that seem to peer into your soul.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Don't don't do it, sorry, even like.
- 5:24Speaker 3: The whites yeah, are black, Like it's just like black.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And I was like, holy because at first I thought
- 5:32Speaker 3: it would just be like I guess the pupil, like
- 5:35Speaker 3: it would be like just.
- 5:36Speaker 4: The pupil and the iris. Yeah, but no, it's it's
- 5:39Speaker 4: the whites. It's the entire the whole thing all is black.
- 5:42Speaker 4: And I don't know if you're about to touch in
- 5:44Speaker 4: this at all, but no one really knows, like if
- 5:47Speaker 4: these are like cryptids or if they're paranormal or a
- 5:52Speaker 4: demonic possession. They don't, like, no one knows.
- 5:55Speaker 3: No, it's just yeah, I don't touch on a bit
- 6:00Speaker 3: here too, so okay, which is yeah, it's wild. So
- 6:04Speaker 3: it's also been reported that when these children are around you,
- 6:09Speaker 3: you get a feeling of great unease that just washes
- 6:13Speaker 3: the fuck over you, which I'm like, okay, that's like
- 6:17Speaker 3: not okay. Nothing other than their eyes is generally all
- 6:22Speaker 3: that frightening, but feelings ranging from anxiety to terror at
- 6:26Speaker 3: their presence have all been described.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Now the only thing I'm not too sure about that is,
- 6:32Speaker 4: how is that any different of being in the presence
- 6:35Speaker 4: of a regular child?
- 6:36Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I should have known your I was like,
- 6:38Speaker 3: what are you? Where are you going with this?
- 6:40Speaker 4: I mean kids are around me. I'm usually like super easy, anxious,
- 6:44Speaker 4: and just like I want to get the fuck out
- 6:46Speaker 4: of here? What is this thing?
- 6:48Speaker 3: Wow? Can you tell we don't have children here? So
- 6:52Speaker 3: a side note when I say these children are generally
- 6:55Speaker 3: not frightening other than their eyes, there have been reports
- 6:58Speaker 3: saying that they had some have had denomic Is that
- 7:04Speaker 3: any say that features like, oh, demon on it?
- 7:10Speaker 4: I was waiting for it. I could see the processing
- 7:14Speaker 4: on your face.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Demonic, demonic, Holy frig so features like, okay, it was talons.
- 7:24Speaker 3: I've never I didn't even know what the frig that was.
- 7:25Speaker 3: But it's a hooked claw looking foot.
- 7:30Speaker 4: I've never heard that of the black children.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that was what? Like it's some reports said that
- 7:36Speaker 3: it was very few, but some reports would say that
- 7:39Speaker 3: they did have like talent demonic features.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Really, yeah, so have like claws in their hands and shit,
- 7:46Speaker 4: yeah huh. I've only ever heard them having the black.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Eyes I know. So then it's just like, is someone
- 7:51Speaker 3: just taking this to a new level, like you know,
- 7:54Speaker 3: I don't know. They are also common commonly commonly holy shit,
- 8:00Speaker 3: when I like fuck up a word, it's just like
- 8:01Speaker 3: downhill from there. It seems like I.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Know, when I do it, it's like it spirals out
- 8:06Speaker 4: of control. I need to like almost take a minute,
- 8:08Speaker 4: I breathe to regain myself.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I know a lot like so, I am shitty at
- 8:12Speaker 3: pronouncing stuff, but then I'm also like talk too fast
- 8:14Speaker 3: sometimes because I'm just like I just want to get
- 8:17Speaker 3: it out there. And then it's just like whoa fair slow.
- 8:20Speaker 4: You're not the only one who can pronounce shit. I
- 8:22Speaker 4: do it all the time. It's a wicked and grim thing.
- 8:25Speaker 3: This is okay. So they are also commonly described as
- 8:30Speaker 3: wearing dated clothing, so not dressing like a typical child
- 8:35Speaker 3: that age. And so see, to me, I picture this
- 8:38Speaker 3: child showing up at the door dressed in say like
- 8:41Speaker 3: nineteen fifties attire, and that to me is almost just
- 8:45Speaker 3: as creepy as the black eyes, right because the first
- 8:49Speaker 3: thing that you're going to see.
- 8:50Speaker 4: Wait, sorry, the attire. Oh I was just thinking a
- 8:52Speaker 4: child chewing up Oh my gosh, Okay, that was the
- 8:55Speaker 4: last last one.
- 8:56Speaker 3: The first thing that you're generally going to be seeing
- 8:59Speaker 3: is their clothing because because they initially do conceal their
- 9:02Speaker 3: black eyes like pretty well, and I'd be like, who
- 9:06Speaker 3: the fuck are you? Like why is there this little
- 9:09Speaker 3: nineteen fifties boy at my door? Like I just think
- 9:12Speaker 3: I would run, but in a tiny home, I wouldn't
- 9:14Speaker 3: have very far to run. So lots of reports of
- 9:18Speaker 3: them also wearing hoodies with the hood up, and it's
- 9:21Speaker 3: also easier to conceal their life sucking eyes.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah, or though like your gaze, I'll look down at
- 9:26Speaker 4: the ground, they will.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Make my contact yeap like creepy, uncontrollable actions have also
- 9:33Speaker 3: been reported, and we'll get into that when we cover
- 9:36Speaker 3: some of the stories of people's encounters with these children.
- 9:39Speaker 3: But it seems that they have some sort of possession
- 9:42Speaker 3: of you. Is how I took it now what they
- 9:46Speaker 3: were after. They're generally asking for something, and it involves
- 9:50Speaker 3: wanting to be in close quarters with you, so asking
- 9:53Speaker 3: for a ride in your car, to enter your home,
- 9:56Speaker 3: to use the phone or the bathroom for some examples.
- 10:00Speaker 4: M hm.
- 10:01Speaker 3: And I mean this is tough because these are children, right,
- 10:04Speaker 3: So if you have like this six year old knocking
- 10:08Speaker 3: at your door and they're wanting to like phone their
- 10:10Speaker 3: mother to get home. Like, I mean, it would be
- 10:15Speaker 3: very hard to just tell them to bugger off, like
- 10:17Speaker 3: that's like a baby.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Really Yeah, but until you see their jet black eyes.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Yeah, but up until that point, I think I would.
- 10:25Speaker 3: I would just be like, what do you need, Like,
- 10:28Speaker 3: how can I get you home?
- 10:30Speaker 4: Yeah? Like, oh, just yeah, unless that unease feeling kicks in,
- 10:34Speaker 4: because generally as soon as you start talking to them,
- 10:36Speaker 4: most people say that they feel it right away or.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Even if they even feel like before they even open
- 10:41Speaker 3: the door.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Yeah too.
- 10:42Speaker 3: So yeah, I don't know, it's just touchy because it's
- 10:46Speaker 3: not it's like, don't trust anyone. But then you also
- 10:50Speaker 3: like don't want to be like not helping a kid
- 10:52Speaker 3: if a kid needs help. I don't know. I just
- 10:53Speaker 3: feel like it's a bit sketchy.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I feel you, I feel you.
- 10:56Speaker 3: So the one article is reading said the earliest sighting
- 10:59Speaker 3: of a black eyed kid was by Brian Bethel in
- 11:04Speaker 3: nineteen ninety six, who was a journalist, But then other
- 11:07Speaker 3: reports said their stories dating back to the nineteen fifties
- 11:11Speaker 3: or so. So I think Brian was just the first
- 11:13Speaker 3: to put his story out there, and as it began
- 11:17Speaker 3: to be seen by others, they spoke up and started
- 11:19Speaker 3: sharing their stories.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Gotcha. Okay.
- 11:23Speaker 3: There have also been reports from multiple countries of black
- 11:26Speaker 3: eyed children, so it's like a worldwide thing. And being
- 11:31Speaker 3: that all of these most of the scriptions, like the
- 11:34Speaker 3: majority of them are the same, and the incidents are
- 11:38Speaker 3: like the same, so it just makes you think that,
- 11:41Speaker 3: holy shit, like is this actually the real deal? You know?
- 11:45Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely there's something about the whole real deal situation.
- 11:50Speaker 4: But I'm going to touch on it later because I
- 11:51Speaker 4: know some of the stories that are going to come
- 11:52Speaker 4: and it's gonna be a little more relevant then. But yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 4: I feel you.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I'm just shifting here. I never like comfort when I'm presenting.
- 12:01Speaker 3: It's quite funny.
- 12:02Speaker 4: You need to learn how to relax.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I need to learn how to sit in a bean bag,
- 12:05Speaker 3: I think.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Yeah, it's different presenting in a tiny home loft.
- 12:09Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very interesting. Okay, So this is where I
- 12:12Speaker 3: was going to touch on something you've kind of already
- 12:14Speaker 3: touched about. It seems like no one really knows what
- 12:18Speaker 3: these paranormal children are. Are they vampires? Are they aliens?
- 12:23Speaker 3: Are they did not?
- 12:24Speaker 2: Oh?
- 12:25Speaker 3: How did you say that again? Oh?
- 12:28Speaker 4: Shoot, now it's slipping my tongue. And I'm like trying
- 12:32Speaker 4: to say it now it's slipping my tonguecause you're mixing
- 12:35Speaker 4: up my brain.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Demonic, demonic, demonic origin. So conspiraus, conspiras. Theorists believe that
- 12:43Speaker 3: black eyed children are aliens trying to reach out to
- 12:47Speaker 3: their earth, okay, and demonic ologists demonologists, okay, demon all, oh,
- 12:58Speaker 3: I'm yeah whatever. Demonology believe they are children of the
- 13:02Speaker 3: devil himself and if you let them in, you're allowing
- 13:06Speaker 3: the devil to enter your life.
- 13:10Speaker 4: I don't know about that. That seems a little that's
- 13:13Speaker 4: a that's more of a stretch and aliens to me.
- 13:16Speaker 3: But my I feel like just from reading stuff, I
- 13:19Speaker 3: just feel like they're more towards the denot. Oh my gosh,
- 13:23Speaker 3: I can't say that fucking word.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Apparently, like I can demonic, d mond demonic, there you go.
- 13:31Speaker 3: Denonic, Like I just can't say it anyway. That's like
- 13:35Speaker 3: where I would probably put my guess more so, fair enough,
- 13:39Speaker 3: fair enough, But I mean you all can have your
- 13:41Speaker 3: own opinions, and we can have our own opinions. That's
- 13:43Speaker 3: really fine.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I'm not saying that it's not demons or Satan or
- 13:47Speaker 4: anything like that. I'm not saying it's more probable that
- 13:49Speaker 4: it's aliens. I'm just saying the whole you're letting Satan
- 13:53Speaker 4: into your life specifically seems fucking too far fetched.
- 13:56Speaker 3: To me, because you didn't ask them to come and stuff, right,
- 13:59Speaker 3: so well, and even still.
- 14:01Speaker 4: If just simply you letting them in your house means
- 14:04Speaker 4: you're letting Satan into your life, that's pretty fucking easy.
- 14:08Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure he'd be able to get in your
- 14:10Speaker 4: life a lot, like he'd force himself in. There's other
- 14:13Speaker 4: ways he'd just do it, other than possessing kids to
- 14:16Speaker 4: knock on your door and ask to come in. I
- 14:19Speaker 4: don't like he's not a vampire.
- 14:22Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:23Speaker 4: That's why I think vampires be more logical because they're
- 14:27Speaker 4: as commit Vampires have to be invited in.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah, but just like their black eyes and stuff seems
- 14:32Speaker 3: more like a demon thing.
- 14:33Speaker 4: I agree there, And like, I don't know just the satan.
- 14:37Speaker 4: The satan part I think is too far fetched for me.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Oh okay, yeah, but they could be like a demon thing.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I don't really necessarily know. I guess if i'd go
- 14:44Speaker 3: right to Satan. But yeah, anyway, anyway, So to jump
- 14:49Speaker 3: into some sightings, I'll start with Brian, since he was
- 14:52Speaker 3: the front runner to release his story. His encounter with
- 14:58Speaker 3: two was with two black I had children in Albanine, Texas.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I hope I'm pronouncing that one right. He was out
- 15:06Speaker 3: late one evening and had stopped in a parking lot
- 15:08Speaker 3: near a movie theater busying his car writing a check.
- 15:12Speaker 3: He didn't realize that two young boys had approached his car.
- 15:16Speaker 3: The older boy tapped on his driver's side window, which
- 15:20Speaker 3: was startling enough, like that would scare the shit out
- 15:22Speaker 3: of me, to be honest, if I was in a
- 15:23Speaker 3: dark parking lot someone tapped on my door a fuck
- 15:27Speaker 3: And when Brian rolled down the window to see what
- 15:30Speaker 3: they wanted, an immediate sense of bear washed over him
- 15:33Speaker 3: that he just could not explain. The boys were wanting
- 15:37Speaker 3: to see a movie but had forgotten their money at home,
- 15:40Speaker 3: so asked Brian if he could give them a ride
- 15:42Speaker 3: to go get it, assuring him that they were just
- 15:46Speaker 3: two kids that did not have a gun like which
- 15:52Speaker 3: so which is very odd to come from a kid's mouth,
- 15:55Speaker 3: in my opinion, And it also came across as very
- 15:58Speaker 3: unnerving to Brian, which I feel like rightfully, So.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Man, don't worry, buddy, I'm not here to kill you.
- 16:03Speaker 3: We're just kids. Like we're just kids. I feel like
- 16:06Speaker 3: a kid would not just present that they don't have
- 16:08Speaker 3: a gun, right Brian noted that the movie they were
- 16:13Speaker 3: wanting to see had already started, so by the time
- 16:16Speaker 3: he took them home and then they arrived back the
- 16:19Speaker 3: movie theater, it would likely be closer to being over,
- 16:22Speaker 3: like the movie would be pretty much done. At this point,
- 16:26Speaker 3: he broke eye contact with them, his fear growing by
- 16:30Speaker 3: the minute, and it wasn't until he broke eye contact
- 16:34Speaker 3: that their eyes then became completely black. The older boy
- 16:39Speaker 3: now is getting visually frustrated with Brian at the excuses
- 16:43Speaker 3: he was giving them for not being able to give
- 16:45Speaker 3: them a ride home, saying that they can't get into
- 16:49Speaker 3: Brian's car unless he says it's okay. At this point,
- 16:53Speaker 3: Brian had enough and he tore out of the parking lot,
- 16:57Speaker 3: looking back in his rear rear mirror as he sped
- 17:00Speaker 3: away and the boys were gone.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I heard this that story like probably a dozen times now.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's creepy.
- 17:10Speaker 4: It broke eye contact part though, that's new. I haven't
- 17:12Speaker 4: heard that.
- 17:13Speaker 3: I know because I actually found that because I was like,
- 17:16Speaker 3: what the heck did their eyes like change into black?
- 17:18Speaker 3: Because it doesn't really make sense? And I looked at
- 17:21Speaker 3: a few articles and each one said that way.
- 17:23Speaker 4: Really, I've never heard that before.
- 17:26Speaker 3: So I don't know if he just didn't realize, you know,
- 17:28Speaker 3: maybe because they always start black, like I do think
- 17:32Speaker 3: they ever changed?
- 17:33Speaker 4: Can you can you go to that part again? K
- 17:35Speaker 4: you read your notes? What does it say again? What
- 17:38Speaker 4: do you have?
- 17:41Speaker 3: Where was it? It wasn't until he broke eye contact
- 17:45Speaker 3: that their eyes that their eyes then became completely black?
- 17:50Speaker 4: What'd you say? A moment later? Right after that? Keep
- 17:53Speaker 4: going that the.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Boys boy now was getting visually frustrated. Hmmm, what are
- 18:02Speaker 3: you looking for?
- 18:03Speaker 4: I'm just I'm just intrigued, like to see if like,
- 18:06Speaker 4: because that doesn't make sense because I thought their eyes
- 18:09Speaker 4: were always.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Black, I know from everything else cause I could see it,
- 18:12Speaker 3: but it did seem like they were just always black.
- 18:14Speaker 3: But then that one was worded differently, and I did
- 18:17Speaker 3: check it in a few spots because I was like,
- 18:19Speaker 3: did they change?
- 18:20Speaker 4: Interesting?
- 18:21Speaker 3: So I don't know. I can't say for one or
- 18:23Speaker 3: the other. But I'm almost thinking maybe he just like this,
- 18:26Speaker 3: the light or like a street light hit it wraw
- 18:29Speaker 3: or differently or something.
- 18:30Speaker 4: And well maybe like he was looking at them, and
- 18:33Speaker 4: the boys were averting their gaze, and so when he
- 18:36Speaker 4: looked away, then they looked up. That's kind of what
- 18:39Speaker 4: I'm going to assume.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Yeah, all I can say is that's creepy as shit. Yeah,
- 18:47Speaker 3: So here's a and this one. Next one is a
- 18:49Speaker 3: word for word description from someone. And I were going
- 18:52Speaker 3: to drop the link to this publication in the show
- 18:55Speaker 3: notes because they're they have about like fifteen other entries
- 18:58Speaker 3: like this of incidents that they gather that are like
- 19:02Speaker 3: of the most creepiest I suppose of these black eyed children.
- 19:06Speaker 3: And I chose a Halloween one because Halloween week, of course,
- 19:11Speaker 3: and it's Halloween is honestly more of a time where
- 19:16Speaker 3: like more sightings happen. And whether that be actual, actual
- 19:21Speaker 3: real sightings, or if it's just like kids playing pranks,
- 19:24Speaker 3: you know, Yeah, I feel like people would probably play
- 19:27Speaker 3: this as a.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Prank sometimes probably probably I could.
- 19:30Speaker 3: See that happening.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Go buy some contacts or something like that from Halloween
- 19:33Speaker 4: Alley and twenty bucks.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Later you could get contacts that covered the whole whites
- 19:38Speaker 3: and everything, though not the whole.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Whites, but I mean it'll black out your eyes quite
- 19:44Speaker 4: a bit, like at least the irises and stuff, and
- 19:46Speaker 4: that might be enough for people to be like, yeah,
- 19:47Speaker 4: I saw someone would just black like you know, like
- 19:49Speaker 4: adrenaline or memories that aren't always accurate.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, because you're kind of like on edge too on Halloween.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I kind of am, because I'm like one of those
- 19:58Speaker 3: people that like doesn't answer the fucking door. Yeah, like
- 20:02Speaker 3: if if I if someone comes to the door and
- 20:04Speaker 3: I like don't know that they're coming, like, I'm probably.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Not gonna open the door for well, especially since he
- 20:08Speaker 4: started a true crime podcast, shut it Down, I was
- 20:14Speaker 4: like that before.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Fair enough, Okay, So it's titled warning to people in
- 20:19Speaker 3: the Portland, Oregon metro area this Halloween boom, let's hear it.
- 20:26Speaker 3: So here it goes. This really freaked me out. Yesterday
- 20:29Speaker 3: I noticed my neighbor hadn't put out all his Halloween decorations, lights,
- 20:34Speaker 3: et cetera. The past two years I've lived next to him,
- 20:38Speaker 3: He's gone all out for Halloween. I don't know him well,
- 20:41Speaker 3: he's younger signal, but I know I say that we're.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Wrong all the time, you do you mess that one up.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Sometimes, But I know he likes kids, not in a
- 20:52Speaker 3: creepy way, which I was like, that's so weird.
- 20:55Speaker 4: That clarification, Yeah, that we needed?
- 20:57Speaker 3: Did we need that clarification? His brother and sister in
- 21:01Speaker 3: law and their kids are always visiting him, and he
- 21:04Speaker 3: plays with his three young nieces and nephews own in
- 21:07Speaker 3: the yard. So anyway, I got home from work and
- 21:10Speaker 3: was walking at my driveway and I saw him outside
- 21:13Speaker 3: and said something like, hey man, you better get your
- 21:15Speaker 3: Halloween stuff up or that house up the street is
- 21:18Speaker 3: going to beat you for the best decorations. He kind
- 21:22Speaker 3: of smiled sheeplessly and says he's actually going to keep
- 21:26Speaker 3: his house dark this year and just put candy out.
- 21:29Speaker 3: I asked him if he was going out of town
- 21:33Speaker 3: or something, but he said no, something happened last year
- 21:36Speaker 3: that really scared me. Now, I was concerned for my
- 21:40Speaker 3: own safety if some weirdos were coming around our neighborhood,
- 21:44Speaker 3: which is a pretty safe neighborhood with tons of young
- 21:47Speaker 3: families living here. So I asked what happened. He said,
- 21:51Speaker 3: last year he had his brother's family over so they
- 21:53Speaker 3: could trick or treat in the neighborhood. Since they live
- 21:56Speaker 3: in an apartment complex that doesn't do much for Halloween.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Bunch of kids come to the to the door like always,
- 22:03Speaker 3: His family took off around ten thirty and there were
- 22:06Speaker 3: only a few older tricker treaters, but by eleven thirty
- 22:10Speaker 3: they were pretty much done. And I was like, eleven thirty,
- 22:13Speaker 3: who the fuck waits until then? Like we always shut
- 22:16Speaker 3: it down by like nine, nine thirty. I'd feel like, right.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Nine thirty, I think, yeah, but that's usually when like
- 22:23Speaker 4: we're not in like main like uh areas where it's
- 22:26Speaker 4: all concentrate with a bunch.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Of kids trick or treating that late.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Probably, I know I did a few times when I
- 22:32Speaker 4: was younger.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Really, I feel like like growing up, we had kids
- 22:38Speaker 3: come to our house super late. It was like almost rude.
- 22:41Speaker 3: I felt it was almost rude. So you were like rude, maybe.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Okay, but I'd only go to ones with like lights
- 22:48Speaker 4: on and stuff.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Still, that's true, that's true. I think he says something
- 22:51Speaker 3: about this, So he was inside watching TV or she
- 22:55Speaker 3: because she's reporting on his incident, So he was inside
- 22:58Speaker 3: watching TV and the doors he grabs the candy bowl.
- 23:02Speaker 3: He heads over, noticing that it's a little past midnight.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Oh and that's pretty rude for tricker teators to still
- 23:09Speaker 3: be out. Okay, so like we're on the same page here.
- 23:12Speaker 3: But then he notices that he hadn't turned off all
- 23:15Speaker 3: his decorations and some lights were still alarmed. So his
- 23:19Speaker 3: house is like, you.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Know, it's still a beacon in the night there exactly.
- 23:24Speaker 3: So he swings the door open and is about to
- 23:28Speaker 3: yell boo or something to freak them out, but stops
- 23:31Speaker 3: dead when he sees the kids at the door. He
- 23:35Speaker 3: said one was probably around thirteen to fourteen and the
- 23:38Speaker 3: other around sixteen to seventeen, both boys. They weren't dressed up,
- 23:43Speaker 3: but he remembers the older boy was wearing a flannel
- 23:46Speaker 3: checkered shirt. He was immediately overcome with uneasiness, like opening
- 23:52Speaker 3: the door was a huge mistake. They just stared at him,
- 23:57Speaker 3: and he noticed they had really big irises and diluted pupils.
- 24:02Speaker 3: He couldn't even see the whites of their eyes, so
- 24:04Speaker 3: he figured they were wearing contact lenses. He was frozen
- 24:08Speaker 3: there holding the candy bowl like he couldn't slam the
- 24:11Speaker 3: door in their face as much as he wanted to,
- 24:14Speaker 3: so like what he wanted to do, he wasn't able
- 24:17Speaker 3: to do, which was kind of what I had mentioned earlier, right,
- 24:21Speaker 3: So he nervously tried to smile to smile at them,
- 24:24Speaker 3: hoping they would break character and ask for candy or something.
- 24:28Speaker 3: The younger one said they had gotten lost and needed
- 24:31Speaker 3: to come in and use his phone. That was when
- 24:34Speaker 3: he closed the door more than halfway on them and
- 24:37Speaker 3: said no, sorry, and the other one said something like
- 24:40Speaker 3: can we just wait in your house until our parents
- 24:43Speaker 3: come get us. But by then he was convinced that
- 24:46Speaker 3: his life was in danger and if these and these
- 24:49Speaker 3: kids must be high on something or intending to rob him,
- 24:52Speaker 3: and he just kept mumbling no, sorry, good night as
- 24:56Speaker 3: he inched the door closed and locked it. He told
- 25:01Speaker 3: me he was so fucking scared at this point that
- 25:04Speaker 3: they were going to try to break in through one
- 25:06Speaker 3: of the windows or something. But he looked through the
- 25:08Speaker 3: people and they had turned to leap. He watched TV
- 25:12Speaker 3: with the volume really low so he hear any sounds
- 25:15Speaker 3: at all, and he stayed up until like five am
- 25:18Speaker 3: because he was too scared to go to bed and
- 25:20Speaker 3: drop his guard the whole time he's telling me this,
- 25:24Speaker 3: I'm thinking, oh my god, this sounds so familiar, just
- 25:27Speaker 3: like the Black Eyed Kids urban legend. Then I thought, hey,
- 25:31Speaker 3: maybe this dude is trying to scare me, because after all,
- 25:33Speaker 3: he does have the Halloween spirit. So I'm looking at
- 25:37Speaker 3: him but trying not to seem too gullible. So I'm like, man,
- 25:41Speaker 3: this is really crazy, sounds like the Black Eyed Kids.
- 25:45Speaker 3: He just looks at me blankly the what is that
- 25:48Speaker 3: a movie or something? And I said no, but told
- 25:51Speaker 3: him to go look it up online. Like an hour later,
- 25:56Speaker 3: I get a knock on my door and admittedly almost
- 25:59Speaker 3: jump my skin, thinking it's a demon child. It was
- 26:03Speaker 3: my neighbor, and his eyes were freaking huge. He swears
- 26:07Speaker 3: to me up and down that he had never heard
- 26:10Speaker 3: of the Black Eyed Kids before, and it's so sil
- 26:14Speaker 3: similar to what happened to him. So we talked a
- 26:17Speaker 3: while longer, and I told him that quite a few
- 26:19Speaker 3: people probably know about that urban legend, and it's possible
- 26:23Speaker 3: as just teenagers playing like a trick on him, trying
- 26:26Speaker 3: to freak him out on Halloween. But he said the
- 26:30Speaker 3: fear he felt was so primal and came over him
- 26:35Speaker 3: the second he opened the door for them. Primal, Primal.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Damn.
- 26:42Speaker 3: So yeah, I'm like that scariest shit. That would actually
- 26:46Speaker 3: really very much make me not decorate for Halloween I
- 26:50Speaker 3: like partake in anything ever.
- 26:52Speaker 4: Again, Oh definitely, that's an encounter I haven't heard before.
- 26:55Speaker 3: No, no, that Like, honestly, if you're interested in this case,
- 26:59Speaker 3: I think that you should go read more of them,
- 27:01Speaker 3: because they were like pretty wild and I would love
- 27:03Speaker 3: to read more. But it's also like you don't want
- 27:06Speaker 3: to be here forever just listening to them.
- 27:07Speaker 4: And of course Reddit's the rabbit hole for all this
- 27:10Speaker 4: sort of stuff.
- 27:11Speaker 3: So yeah, So there were some creeper stories on there too.
- 27:15Speaker 3: One of them, this one like really creeped me out
- 27:19Speaker 3: for some reason. I'm just like touching on it. But
- 27:21Speaker 3: it was just a woman had like entered her apartment
- 27:24Speaker 3: building and she lived on the third floor and she
- 27:28Speaker 3: was going to like her balcony too, I don't know,
- 27:30Speaker 3: I can't remember. It's like close the balcony or open
- 27:32Speaker 3: it or whatever, and there was just two of them
- 27:35Speaker 3: on her fucking balcony. What just two of these little
- 27:39Speaker 3: black eyed kids just on her balcony, like staring at her.
- 27:42Speaker 4: On her fucking balcony.
- 27:43Speaker 3: And she's like third floor apartment, Like I would shit
- 27:46Speaker 3: my pants.
- 27:48Speaker 4: What the fuck did she do?
- 27:49Speaker 3: You got to go read it?
- 27:51Speaker 4: Do you have like do you know where this is?
- 27:53Speaker 4: I don't want to go look for work?
- 27:56Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, do you need me to go look
- 27:58Speaker 3: it up?
- 27:59Speaker 4: Now? No? Not now, but like so I can, Okay,
- 28:01Speaker 4: I can read it.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna get the link. But like there there's
- 28:04Speaker 3: like there's tons of wild stories, like you can go
- 28:07Speaker 3: down a freaking rabbit hole in the black.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Definitely, definitely Okay.
- 28:12Speaker 3: So the last incident I wanted to touch on was
- 28:14Speaker 3: an incident where the Homer homeowners actually let the children
- 28:18Speaker 3: come into the house.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Yes, this is this is the older couple, right, Yes, yes,
- 28:22Speaker 4: I have heard this one. This is a very prominent
- 28:24Speaker 4: story with this urban legend.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. It was in Vermont, and it involved
- 28:29Speaker 3: an elderly couple because like, bless their hearts, because I'm
- 28:32Speaker 3: sure they were just wanting to help these children, right,
- 28:34Speaker 3: it's just like, oh my goodness. So there was a
- 28:38Speaker 3: knock on their door and they opened it to find
- 28:40Speaker 3: two children, a boy and a girl. The children told
- 28:44Speaker 3: the elderly couple that their parents would be here soon,
- 28:47Speaker 3: and made they come inside to wait for them, like
- 28:50Speaker 3: what the fuck, making absolutely no eye contact. The couple
- 28:55Speaker 3: was hesitant, but after a while they let the boy
- 28:58Speaker 3: and girl inside. The kids settled on the coach while
- 29:02Speaker 3: the wife went to make some hot chocolate for them,
- 29:05Speaker 3: and the husband tried to ask the children some questions,
- 29:08Speaker 3: which they did not answer, like they're not talking to
- 29:12Speaker 3: them onsoever. When the wife returned, she noticed that her
- 29:16Speaker 3: cat was scared and angry with the children right there.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I'd be like, boom, fucked off. My animals don't like you.
- 29:22Speaker 4: I don't like you, which is abnormal because this cat
- 29:25Speaker 4: was supposedly really nice too, and I loved like everyone
- 29:28Speaker 4: and would like generally come see company.
- 29:30Speaker 3: But this time, Okay, I didn't read that. I didn't
- 29:33Speaker 3: see that in there.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Yeah that's what I've heard anyways.
- 29:37Speaker 3: Well, because honestly, like walking the dogs, there's been people
- 29:40Speaker 3: that I've walked by and they seem like agitated sometimes
- 29:45Speaker 3: and I'm just like that person is not okay. Animals know,
- 29:49Speaker 3: I know, so I'm almost like looking at them like
- 29:51Speaker 3: who is that person? Like excree me up?
- 29:54Speaker 4: Or it could just be that they have like a
- 29:55Speaker 4: pocket full of bacon or something.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Who knows, Yeah, who knows. So the it's then asked
- 30:01Speaker 3: if they could use the bathroom. This is when the
- 30:04Speaker 3: wife finally saw the children's black eyes, and they were
- 30:08Speaker 3: as black as a starless universe. She directed directed them
- 30:15Speaker 3: to the bathroom and returned to her husband, who was
- 30:19Speaker 3: covering his face with his hand, asking him did you
- 30:23Speaker 3: see their eyes? The husband then removed his hand from
- 30:26Speaker 3: his face, revealing a handful of blood from a nosebleed.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Just when you thought this shit couldn't get any worse,
- 30:35Speaker 3: the power then goes out like, oh, my gosh, I
- 30:38Speaker 3: would just be like panicking. I would just be panicking,
- 30:41Speaker 3: Like I just think I would just run. I would
- 30:44Speaker 3: I think I would just leave them in my goddamn house.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Take the house, take it all, Give me my cat. Yeah,
- 30:50Speaker 4: I'm out in my hot chocolate.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Oh yeah, you gotta take your chocolate. It's like the
- 30:56Speaker 3: turtle's version or after a vision of something delicious. So
- 31:00Speaker 3: the wife headed to the bathroom and was confronted by
- 31:04Speaker 3: the voice of the kids at the end of the hall,
- 31:06Speaker 3: uttering our parents are here, which they then exited the house.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Oh where am I here? Okay, they left the house
- 31:16Speaker 3: or I wrote that sentence wrong, like, thank goodness. So
- 31:19Speaker 3: they left the house. When the wife followed them to
- 31:22Speaker 3: the door and watched them leave, there were two men
- 31:26Speaker 3: at the end of the driveway, and so have you
- 31:28Speaker 3: heard of that too? These men? Because I was like,
- 31:31Speaker 3: that seems really true. Yeah, she said that. Okay, I
- 31:35Speaker 3: didn't see the other We dressed in black suits, but
- 31:37Speaker 3: they were very tall and slender. She waved to them,
- 31:41Speaker 3: but she did not receive the same kindness back. The
- 31:45Speaker 3: four of them then drove away together in one vehicle.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Throughout the next week after their encounter with the children,
- 31:55Speaker 3: weird things happened in their house. Three of their four
- 31:58Speaker 3: cats went missing, which is really fucking sad. Oh not
- 32:03Speaker 3: as sad as this actually, and the fourth was found
- 32:06Speaker 3: dead in a pool of its own blood, like holy heck.
- 32:11Speaker 3: And they probably love cats, because to have four cats,
- 32:13Speaker 3: you probably really love your The husband also continued to
- 32:18Speaker 3: have nosebleeds. He finally went to the doctor and was
- 32:21Speaker 3: diagnosed with a very aggressive skin cancer. So I mean,
- 32:29Speaker 3: but technically that I mean, maybe those things might have
- 32:32Speaker 3: happened anyway, But that's a lot of like pretty poor
- 32:36Speaker 3: things happening. It's like, especially that all four of their
- 32:39Speaker 3: cats were affected.
- 32:40Speaker 4: You know, And what I was going to say that earlier,
- 32:44Speaker 4: I had something to say that with tiance to something
- 32:46Speaker 4: you're going to tell later. It was this moment here
- 32:50Speaker 4: I'm really reluctant. Like a lot of the times I'm like, oh,
- 32:52Speaker 4: there's this is so bogus because this points towards that,
- 32:55Speaker 4: or that fits it too well, or like the elevator
- 32:58Speaker 4: to Hell, all these specific steps follow it correctly. There's
- 33:01Speaker 4: contingency plans in that built in. Yeah, this, if you
- 33:04Speaker 4: let the kids in, the kids never do anything. They
- 33:08Speaker 4: just weird shit and they leave.
- 33:12Speaker 3: I know because lots of people there's some people saying
- 33:13Speaker 3: like they're thinking that they're going to get killed or something,
- 33:17Speaker 3: but they don't know. They're not hurting them.
- 33:19Speaker 4: And if someone makes up a story, there's like humans
- 33:22Speaker 4: like to tell stories, and with stories you have a climax.
- 33:26Speaker 4: So people usually are leading to something. The fact that
- 33:30Speaker 4: this doesn't lead to anything. The kids don't do anything,
- 33:34Speaker 4: they're picked up by weird people. Sure, but it's like
- 33:38Speaker 4: very anti climactic, which makes me reluctant to say that
- 33:42Speaker 4: someone did make this up, not that someone did.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Well, and because so many of the stories are that
- 33:47Speaker 3: same way, yes, right, because like I don't know, Yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 3: you think if people were making up, it would almost
- 33:55Speaker 3: progress to be getting like yea worse and worse and
- 33:58Speaker 3: worse or something we like.
- 33:59Speaker 4: To be andyokes and big. Oh my god, these stories
- 34:02Speaker 4: are too too bland. It almost seems too real, you know.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Oh God. But now I'm just like so terrified, Like
- 34:12Speaker 3: I'm literally a little terrified.
- 34:15Speaker 4: Is there one out there right now?
- 34:16Speaker 3: I don't know. I did check the door a couple
- 34:18Speaker 3: of times. It's gonna lie.
- 34:20Speaker 4: One one time. There might be kids standing there.
- 34:22Speaker 3: I know one because we don't have curtains. Because there
- 34:24Speaker 3: were actually times where people they weren't always like coming.
- 34:27Speaker 3: They would be in like their backyard or something like
- 34:29Speaker 3: looking in their fucking kitchen window. Yeah, like I would
- 34:32Speaker 3: literally think I would just high yep, like no tricks
- 34:36Speaker 3: are allowed to be played in this house after this place.
- 34:38Speaker 4: Okay, there's there's two ways I'm going to handle it.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Either A I'm gonna shit myself and hide, or B
- 34:44Speaker 4: I'm punching a kid in the face and running. Those
- 34:47Speaker 4: those are the only two alternatives.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Ky, Yeah, but there hasn't been any reports of people
- 34:51Speaker 3: like hurting them, so that could be bad for you.
- 34:53Speaker 4: Yeah. True, So I don't know, but I'm not saying
- 34:55Speaker 4: that I'm gonna go punch it. It's gonna be like
- 34:57Speaker 4: a reflex like oh shit, like you know, oh oh
- 35:01Speaker 4: my gosh, like a spider on you and you just
- 35:03Speaker 4: like fling it off sort of thing.
- 35:06Speaker 3: Okay, so we're wrapping up here. So to this day,
- 35:09Speaker 3: people still claim to see the black eyed children. So
- 35:13Speaker 3: they see them when driving late at night down empty roads,
- 35:18Speaker 3: which just scary as shit, which is what we live
- 35:20Speaker 3: on outside their windows again late at night when we.
- 35:25Speaker 4: Don't have curtains installed in our tiny home yet.
- 35:27Speaker 3: You need to shut the buck up, or worse yet,
- 35:32Speaker 3: even lurking in the shadows of their room. There's been
- 35:37Speaker 3: reports Wait, okay, we.
- 35:39Speaker 4: We our bedroom isn't aloft, so they will be crawling
- 35:41Speaker 4: on all fours.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Oh my god, that's worse. So people like waking up
- 35:46Speaker 3: in the middle of the night because they sent someone
- 35:48Speaker 3: was watching them and in the shadows were these children.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I feel like that could almost be like just a
- 35:54Speaker 3: dream situation.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Though, yeah, I mean that like night terrib They need
- 35:58Speaker 4: to be.
- 35:58Speaker 3: Invited in the house. So that's what I was like,
- 36:02Speaker 3: is that legit, because like they're asking all the time
- 36:04Speaker 3: if they can enter into your life. Basically they're not.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I don't know if they can just appear in your freaking.
- 36:09Speaker 4: See that one seems like a made up like a
- 36:12Speaker 4: person told that. Yeah, I woke up and they were there.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah, you know that is I think that's like you're
- 36:17Speaker 3: listening to a podcast and then you dream that night
- 36:19Speaker 3: that they're in your bedroom. Yeah. So yeah, I don't
- 36:23Speaker 3: know any of those things. I don't really want, So
- 36:27Speaker 3: I'm just like putting this aura out there that I
- 36:29Speaker 3: don't want this in my life.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Black Eyed Children not welcome here, back off please.
- 36:35Speaker 3: But yeah, that's the story of the black Eyed legend
- 36:39Speaker 3: of the Black Eyed Children.
- 36:40Speaker 4: That is a infamous one and one that huh literally
- 36:45Speaker 4: sends chills on my spine every time.
- 36:46Speaker 3: It's pretty epic though it is. It's scary as fun
- 36:49Speaker 3: and the photo that I'm gonna be posting on Instagram
- 36:51Speaker 3: is pretty scary.
- 36:53Speaker 4: See it. I want to see it.
- 36:55Speaker 3: I might give you a little sneak.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Okay, I want to see it.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Sweet, well awesome. So that means after this there's still
- 37:02Speaker 3: two more episodes.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Two more episodes. I've got one coming up and you've
- 37:06Speaker 4: got one coming up, which have one more and they're
- 37:09Speaker 4: both doozies.
- 37:10Speaker 3: They're really good.
- 37:12Speaker 4: One we have, we're done the urban legends. Now. One
- 37:17Speaker 4: is kind of an urban legend all on its own,
- 37:20Speaker 4: I guess, because it's just so grandiose that people know
- 37:23Speaker 4: all about it, and but it's completely true. And the
- 37:27Speaker 4: second may have inspired another urban legend, but it's definitely
- 37:32Speaker 4: not that at all. But regardless, they're true stories. I
- 37:36Speaker 4: know they're crazy.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Those are hints, but they're really not giving anything. Yep,
- 37:40Speaker 3: so we're no help to you.
- 37:42Speaker 4: They're not urban legends, but they may have inspired some
- 37:44Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, but these are crazy, crazy stories coming up.
- 37:48Speaker 4: You guys, thank you for being here, Thank you for
