- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Conduit is incredible.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: The basic idea is when you think of a church bazaar or a school bazaar and people are there setting up their tables and selling things peer-to-peer, conduit is doing that and taking that into the internet, into the open web.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: So that idea of peer-to-peer money with Bitcoin and being able to allow commerce on an open network and people can set up their shops anywhere across this open market, which is built on Naster rails.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: Eric, the CEO, he's building this platform to make it accessible to people who are non-Bitcoiners too, and make it easy for them to sign up with this Naster account to be on this open system so that people can not just list on Conduit, but if Conduit were to not be around tomorrow, your identity exists, your shop exists, it stays with your Naster team, you can move around to different platforms.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: And this interoperability that you list a product that you're selling on Conduit and it shows up across any marketplace because there's a bunch of marketplaces being built, like everyone's doing their own thing, building one.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: And if you don't like one experience, you use another experience.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: But what conduit is doing is making it a really good user experience so that people can have a whole merchant portal and you can see all your orders from across the Nostroverse in one place.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: Not everybody's trying to be what conduit's trying to be.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: They have a website, they want to have this same specification they call it where everyone could read the sale of the listings.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: But they're not spending the time, let's say, on everybody to like create this platform that works the way that an Amazon would work.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: So it's like a Bitcoin Amazon pretty much.
- 1:40SPEAKER_02: Welcome back, everyone, to To the Moon with the Lunas.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: The Bitcoin price today is around 82,700.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: Today we're hanging out with Stacy, the voice behind Bitcoin Nova.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: We'll dive into her Bitcoin journey, her conversations with builders and thinkers in the space, and what keeps her curious about what's next.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much, Stacy, for being with us.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for sure.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: It's so nice being on.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad we got to do this.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: It was so nice having you guys on my show too.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: So now I'm glad that um I could join you guys.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: Uh thank you so much, Stacey.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: It was a great opportunity just to be able on your podcast and you know, just how far you've come in your short little journey with the podcast.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: And so um everybody knows the Bitcoin Nova.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Everybody knows Stacy.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: But who was Stacy before the Bitcoin Nova and how did this all come to fruition?
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: This is funny to think about because I've kind of told the story before too, but thank you so much for saying that.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: That's it's still cool to hear that because it's not like it was that long ago, but we've been building the community for for a while, you know, so we've known each other.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: And um, it's just really nice to see that you know the word spreads amongst ourselves.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: So we we like to always share each other's content and um, you know, just be excited about guests that we each have on.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And it's nice hearing, you know, I love your conversations too.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: So it's just so much fun getting to listen to our friends and hear their thoughts and you know, all the interviews.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Um, but my journey, actually, I've been talking about it a little bit more recently that um I kind of got started in Bitcoin and it was in 2020, and I was actually a gamer.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I was not like a really good gamer, but I was a Fortnite player.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: So I used to just play a lot of video games that got us through COVID, and it was a lot of fun to do it.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: You know, we got to me and my husband would play together and then we'd uh join friends.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And it was it was during that time, you know, learning about the video game space, and I was interested in getting a gaming PC because I started streaming and I thought, oh, it'd be cool to um that's kind of sort of how I started with my experience with streaming and interacting and putting my voice out there into the world, you know.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: So I never had done that ever before, but we would just have such fun gaming nights and we would just laugh so much.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, this would be cool for people to listen to.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: It's just like a good time.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And that's sort of like fast-forwarding to Bitcoin Nova and the Hive Minded.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: It's kind of the hive-minded is this panel style show where we just joke and laugh and have a good time, and it reminds me of my gaming days.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Um, so that's just like why I really love doing the hive-minded.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: But when I was looking into gaming PCs, I was learning about Bitcoin because I started hearing stuff about GPU mining and I didn't know what that was, but then that took me down the crypto path and like mining Ethereum type stuff.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: And but I was just learning about all of it back then.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: So it was um a journey into understanding the space and what the difference is between Bitcoin and the rest of them.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I would always joke, like I get distracted.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: I love, I love the video gaming world, but like we'd be in a game and I'd be running into a wall and just like running in place.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And George was like, Are you looking at Bitcoin stuff again?
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: And I would just like, you know, he'd like catch me that I was on my phone looking at Twitter to see what people were saying.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Um, so it was just funny.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And then every time I had something new that I learned, it was like the orange pill days where you're just like, oh my gosh, I can't sleep because this is so crazy what I'm learning.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: And I would just spew all this knowledge into George, and he was like, okay, like he understood, but he's like, that's a lot of information in a short time.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Can you just relax or whatever?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: So um when uh when I started interacting with people more online, it was where things changed with the community building and all of us meeting and the Bitcoin army.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: It was nice because I started to actually feel like I had friends that understood me and I wasn't alone in the world, and George wasn't the only human that knew what I was thinking.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Um because nobody really understood, or he got all of it for me.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: And then um, yeah, so I started making friends, and then the community building led to being asked to be on my first podcast, which was I always tell everybody it was Paula, because you know, she did it.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: She's the one that finds people who are doing cool things in Bitcoin, and she just asked me to be on, and I was shocked, I was shy.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: I didn't know if I was ready for that or who would want to listen to me, but I was encouraged uh by my husband, and and that's really where it all began.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: I can definitely relate to George.
- 6:09SPEAKER_02: Just like all this information just coming in.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: It's like great, this is awesome.
- 6:13SPEAKER_02: But also, what are you saying?
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: It's like too much all at once.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: Like I think it's it's a like you you're probably interested in this stuff too, and so is he.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: But then it's it's like we're taking a compressing four hours of learning, like whatever we learned all day, and we're just like, here it is, and just it's just like you need it in in smaller doses, I think.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: And we just just do too much, I think.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Well, it's it's actually refreshing too that you guys weren't like put off on it because you could easily get put off on it, and um when you're throwing up on somebody about Bitcoin, and when you do learn, you go down the rabbit hole, you just get blown away by like what you're discovering.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: You're like, this is crazy.
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: Like, I need to share this with someone because I want to help you.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: Like, I really genuinely want to help you.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Uh, and I love you, so please listen to this.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: Um, I so I saw some of your videos.
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: I saw actually saw your first video.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: It is so cool.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: And Eugene and your husband, number one, they're both hilarious.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: So I think it's really cool.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: Uh, watching that video and then seeing how far you've come in your short amount of time.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: It's really cool.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: I know you've been um on panels and stuff too, and I think that's amazing going to different conferences and just connecting with it.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: When it comes to like the Bitcoin Nova, like where do you see this going and what kind of impact do you do you want it to have on the Bitcoin community?
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: I I have chills when you when you say that because it's just like I I don't know, but I can like feel it.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Like I just it's like a feeling more than it is like a map or a plan.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Like none of it is planned, none of this has been planned, like none of even the community building was not planned, it's just something we did, and then it grew into something else, and then all these connections led to the next thing.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: And I just I have chills because I feel that same thing, like I know where Bitcoin's going, and I know where these connections take you, and I know that it's just all good stuff, you know.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: It's a weird feeling, and I do get chills from it.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: But as far as just doing things, like that idea of like you can just do things, it's like we say that a lot, but a lot of times people want to do stuff and they never just get started.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: And like how you guys, you know, getting started with yours and having younger kids and a family and also doing it together, it's like it's hard to think like when should we ever do this or when's a good time, but it's like just doing it is what's important and uh also looking and reflecting on my journey too, and looking at yourselves and when you started and just seeing how much could change and you know, and and speaking events for yourselves too, you know, all this stuff.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: So it's like you don't have to wait for things to happen, you can just make things happen.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Like, for example, the speaking events at conferences, you just reach out, reach out to the organizers and say, this is who we are.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: And, you know, it's not for you guys, for any Bitcoiner out there who's listening, or anybody who wants to go to a Bitcoin conference and has ever considered speaking on a panel or maybe moderating a panel, but it's not like they come to you.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: And I would have never reached out, but it was my husband who was like, Why don't you ask?
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay, and I did it just to kind of make him happy because he's like, You should, why not?
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't you?
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: So it was like one of those things that I just didn't think of, you know, but it's to have encouragement in your life and people to push you to like see what's possible.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: And um, so I did an email more to I sent, you know, to uh emails to the couple conferences I spoke at, and it was more just to tell him I did it, to be like I tried, you know, like yeah, that's really good.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Overall, like how has an impact been like has George had on you during your journey?
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: Because it I think it's really cool when you you shared a little bit how he was just like you were throwing up on him a little bit and telling him he's like we'll pump the brakes, and then now he's like, Hey, you need to reach out to these Bitcoin conferences to like walk us through that.
- 9:55SPEAKER_01: Like, how has his overall journey you know changed him with the Bitcoin, you know, the hive and everything like that?
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: So he's yeah, that's I I would love to talk about that for sure.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And then I also want to get back to how I see the podcast going because I didn't fully answer that question.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: But I feel like he has seen the impact of the the community, he has seen the authenticity in the community.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: We decided to host a Bitcoin meetup because one of our friends wanted to visit Chicago, which is uh my Bitcoin cousin, he used to be called because that he wanted to visit and he was asking if there was anything going on.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: So we're like, well, let's just like create a meetup and say it's the Bitcoin Army meetup and all the Chicago people we started to meet.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: And it was crazy how it worked out because he saw that people came, they drove, they flew in from other areas, and we had like probably 30 Bitcoiners there, some from out of town, some from wild.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: And it was like a he he even thought of it because he was like, Well, if he's gonna be able to come in this weekend, I actually have a show the one day, so why don't we just do a two-day event and then Saturday night we'll all go to this like lounge and hang out, and the first day we'll do it, it'll be my show, and they could just come watch me sing and hang out.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: And so we did a two-day event, and a bunch of people came out, and you know, we even had people, we even offered for people to come back to our house afterwards and hang out, like you know, and they came back and we had a fire pit outside, and we were up to like four in the morning.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: It was like it was crazy, and it was like smoky outside, like the fire was the wood, even though we tried drying it out, it was kind of wet.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: So the it was not like pleasant, but nobody wanted to leave.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Like nobody was like, they were like, This is just too cool, like hanging out with each other.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: And you know, we had one girl that came in from Wisconsin, you know, she she actually had um seen that there was a meetup and she drove in.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: She had never met us before.
- 11:46SPEAKER_00: She just came in because she saw the meetup on Club Orange.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Uh, so it was just really cool that he got to see the impact of how these people are because he always talks about making friends in the real world.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's hard.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Like we're parents, and people are just very first level, like you don't get to really learn who they really are, and they like to keep it that way, it feels like.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: And it's like pulling teeth to like get together with one other couple to say, hey, let's go to dinner.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: And they're like, Oh, my kids have this, like everyone's busy, nobody just to get one other couple together is just so hard.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: And then when we did this, all these people came out, and then and then just even being invited to our very first Bitcoin meetup prior to that one was the Illinois Bitcoin Council.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: People found out about the podcast.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: So that's what happens.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Like, you do a podcast, people find out about you, they hear you're in the area.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: We got invited to our first meetup, and we were both driving there thinking, are these people gonna be nuts?
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: Like, what kind of like we don't know who they are, like this is gonna be weird.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: But they were so cool and genuine, and and it was such a great time.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: And that's what made us want to start going to our local meetup.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: And we go every month now, and we found like some really cool friends.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: And as people have like kind of fall away in your life, like I don't know if you guys have experienced that, but you know, we're in our 40s, you know, so we're we've seen people's lives change and things shift, and you know, but this is it feels so different, and he could see that, you know.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Um, we've connected with the Chicago Bitcoin Collective people now, and like they have this co-working space that's like a pub key, like a Bitcoin park thing happening in Chicago, and the restaurant is forking coin, and we hang out there a lot.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: And George sang at an event, they had him sing for the Value for Value Summit.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: You know, it was like a two-day event there too.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: So he's seen like people appreciate what you do, they appreciate like just being being part of this community has been something we couldn't have planned or we didn't expect.
- 13:43SPEAKER_00: And he sees the the positivity and the conferences, meeting with people.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Like we we have so much fun.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: And then yeah, I'll pause there before I get into where I think the podcast is going because that's um that was kind of an answer to this question.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, that's awesome.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: And I I feel like that's the best part of Bitcoin, the Bitcoin community is the people, you know.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: Like I feel like as I'm getting more involved and seeing more things on X's, I'm trying to, you know, juggle that too.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: But it's been awesome to just have such so many encouraging people and they're excited about life, you know, and that's the fun.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: I think that's why you guys stayed up till 4 a.m.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: because everyone was just happy and like excited for the future.
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: And you guys can talk about the future with hope rather than in our regular fiat, you know, world where like, oh man, I have to get up at on Monday.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: And yeah, of course, we might have those moments, but it's there's something more that we have to look forward to.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: And that's that's so fun to just be around.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: I know we we always say we're like, we're so excited to like go to a conference to actually see our ex-community in person, you know, like tangible people, you're real, you know, like and you don't realize how much you need it until you do it.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: You know, once you do it, you're just like, okay, it's been awesome connecting online.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: But then once you actually meet up, and it's almost like once you meet in person, more things start like blooming and happening in your life.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like things like the connections get more real.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: And so I really, really encourage actually meeting other other people in the space.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Um, it's just it's really cool to see that you and you guys have young children too.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: So it's like one day, you know, as things change and you know, you guys could do more things and it gets a little easier.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it's it's really cool that he's seen the shift and he's just more getting more involved in it because you know, he even started a Bitcoin brand because he's like the idea.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Like he's he's always got the ideas.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: Like he told me to start the podcast, he encouraged me to go reach out to speak at conferences, and part of it was like, Oh, make some friends, get you know, but then now those friends are really our friends.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Oh Stacy.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's like, Talk to someone else about this, yeah.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: Um, but then he's also like now these are his friends, you know.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: It's not like like he messages some of them, like I don't message them, he messes, you know, so he's made his own friends.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Um, but then he has ideas for you know, just like the Bitcoin brand, or you know, he he always would wear this hat that I loved.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: It was like a black sheep hat, you know, it had this patch on it.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: And I was always like, That's my favorite hat on you.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: I I just love that hat.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: And I thought it always reminded me of like, you know, we feel different because we're bitcoiners and we feel like a black sheep, and then you see memes like that, you know, in the community.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: And he's a musician and he grew up on like a hip-hop, like classic hip-hop type stuff.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: So he started to put the twist on music, like hip-hop and Bitcoin, and he started just creating designs.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: And we have like a shop for him now.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: So he's the Bitcoin black sheep and he has the store, and I just love designs he comes up with, like he's just creative.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: Um, so he takes his creativity and his art and he brings that to the space.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: And I just uh get to use my hairdressing skills because that was another thing prior to being a gamer.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: I I'm a hairdresser, you know, and I'm moving more into part-time now because of other connections and things that happened in my life that the podcast has led me to and the building, the community building.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: And I would have never imagined this to be a thing that that I'm doing now, but I'm moving away from the fiat world more and I'm working more in Bitcoin and I absolutely love it.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: And I'm I'm busy, but I'm shifting my priorities and my time, you know, to where I'm needed or what what I enjoy more, and I'm like more energized than ever.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: So cool.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: That is so cool.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: I I I know you have so much from the podcast that you wanted to add on to earlier.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: So yeah, if you if you want to kind of swing back to what we were talking about also, because it kind of sounds we're going in that direction as well.
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, where do you kind of see the Coin Nova platform kind of going in the future?
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: So for me, it's the platform itself.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: It's like hearing you say, like, people know the channel, they've heard of it, whatever, they know who I am.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: That's really cool.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: You know, I kind of feel like a black sheep myself.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Like I don't want to change, I don't want to become something that I'm not.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: And that's literally when I thought about when you mentioned the first episode and how you enjoyed it so much, because I didn't want to feel like I started a podcast and tried to think I had to be a certain personality to have a podcast.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: I didn't want to be somebody that I'm not.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: So it was again George's idea to say, hey, why don't we be like your pilot episode and join you and you'll feel comfortable and set the tone for the rest of your episodes?
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I like that because then it makes me feel like it's okay to be me.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: I don't have to be some podcaster.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: So going forward, I don't really it's not like I'm interested.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: I do this because I love it.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: I'm not interested in sponsorships.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I thought about it for a while and I was like, oh, that'd be cool to make money off of what I'm doing because you're spending so much time doing this, it'd be great to monetize.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: And that's definitely possible for a lot of people.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: And I think so many people do that on YouTube.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: But I'm just not chasing that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: That's not something that I I don't want to feel like I can't say a certain thing because of a company that backs me that might not like certain things I talk about or something.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I just want to be me.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: I just want to be authentic and I want to continue having people on that are doing something positive for the space and building this new world we want to live in.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: And that's all I care about.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: Like I'm doing it because I just love it.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: So the podcast, yeah, it could grow and be huge.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know, like you guys too.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Like, we could keep doing this, and I like that it's like a record of conversations that one day people will look back on and see what we were talking about when Bitcoin does whatever it does and becomes the new lit face layer for for transactions.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: But it's uh it's just you feel like you're part of history and you know the people are part of history.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: You're getting to share what the culture is and and how it's growing.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: But um, as far as where the podcast goes, it leads you to being able to do things that you can get a Bitcoin job, you know, and you can do something like that.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: And that's what I love right now, but it's not like I'm just doing a Bitcoin job.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: I feel like I feel like it's like a dream job because it's something that I fully, fully, fully believe in.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: And I think it's amazing.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm thinking they get the same chills as like when you say, Where's the podcast going?
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: I'm like, where could where's this going?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Like where because these things are things that are changing and shaping the world, and the connections of the people give me give me like that same feeling.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, it's just we are growing together and meeting each other and building it like stronger every time we connect.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but the the company now that I'm I'm with is Conduit, and I don't know if you've seen my videos, so I feel like I'm taking a little bit of my it's like things come together in your life because I'm taking my past, like my editing and my gaming and making clips, and I'm now using that to um going from making little videos that used to hype up the people in Bitcoin and we'd connect.
- 20:55SPEAKER_00: I used to make like a put everyone's profiles together and make like a fun video.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: And then now I'm using it for for conduit to to get people to understand how great this is because it's amazing.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: And I think once people find out what it is, then like how could you not be so excited about the future, you know?
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: No, that's oh my gosh, that's so good.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: You cover so much good stuff right there.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: Because number one, when you first started, Stacy, I think it's really cool how you shared, like, hey, you know, the sponsorships, all that stuff.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: That's cool, right?
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: You want to get monetized, you're doing this, but at the same time, you're like, you're grounded, you're not changing, you know who you are.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: And at the same time, it's freeing, right?
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: Because you're like, hey, I don't have to worry about like XYZ or me saying XYZ.
- 21:38SPEAKER_01: Um, so I think that's says a lot about you and uh probably a lot why you're growing, you know.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: And so uh kudos to you.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: Going back to what you share, like we just we could just do things out here.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: So you just start a podcast and then you meet all these amazing people, doors open, connections are made, and now you're like entering like into the Bitcoin space, which is like you're probably like, what?
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: Like, is this I can't believe it.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Is this real?
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: And the huge, huge shout out to Elizabeth and Bitcoiner Talent.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: And like I can't, I can't stop getting that feeling.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: It's like one thing after the other because she is such a passionate person in the Bitcoin space.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Like she loves the people and like she is a connector.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: She's a conduit of her own.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: I keep using that word lately now because I'm like, it is a connector and it is like this whole thing feels like nodes and connections.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: But she is the reason I'm I'm getting to do what I love so much.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: And it's because she can see when she gets, she actually cares so much about the people in this community that she has such a I mean, it's called Bitcoiner Talent, but she's a talented one.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Um like she she gets to know the people so well and know what they're about and like what kind of energy they could bring to a position and and how even if before they know that they could do something, she can see that you would be great for a certain role.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Um, even if it's not the traditional degree that that normal role would be requiring, in the Bitcoin space, it's not that important.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: You know, you don't need to have somebody who already understands Bitcoin and already understands the technology of Bitcoin.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: And again, proof of work is a huge part too.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: She was able to see that.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: And I'm so grateful for it.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: I highly recommend like people who are Bitcoiners, if you're ever not happy in your fiat job and you're looking for a Bitcoin job, um, she is uh doing a great, great job with Bitcoiner talent and connecting people because there are so many people searching for people to fill these roles and and help build up the space.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: So why wouldn't you?
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: And if you don't mind sharing too, just like how did you guys get connected, you and Elizabeth?
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: So I just remember meeting her in person.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: We were in Twitter spaces, you know, I would see her in Twitter spaces and stuff, and then we went to Vegas, not this year last year, it was our first conference, and we met up with a couple of friends there, and it was Jeeves and cousin, or yeah, Jeeves and Cuz were there.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: And me and George were at this uh Noster party.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: It was um an after party after the conference, and it was actually the day of my birthday.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, so we were there on my birthday, and I spoke on stage on my birthday.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: It was like the craziest thing ever.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what a gift I get to speak on stage.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and then when we were at this party, she runs up to us and she's like, Oh my god! And she like gives me like a huge hug, and even Jeeves and cousin were like, Oh, you know, like who we are.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: She goes, Yeah, of course.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: I watched the Hive Minded because we're all on the panel show together, and she thinks it's so funny, and she's like been a fan, you know, so it was cool just like seeing her run up to us like that, and her energy was amazing, and you know, we had such a fun night together.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: And then after that, she came to Chicago for um for an event.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: So I got to see her again uh when she came to the Chicago Bitcoin Collective and and we hung out over there and you know at the restaurant and stuff.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: And then she was like, Well, uh, I need a haircut, so do you have time?
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: So like I was working at the salon the next day, so she came by and got a haircut too, paid in Bitcoin.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: Um, and then we just talked forever too.
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: Like when she came by.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: And it's funny because my channel's called the Bitcoin Nova, and it's my husband had named that.
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: Like he was he would call me like this because he knows I love space and he knows I love stars and just like science.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm just like a nerd, like a total nerd.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: So um, so he just felt like you know, that ideal or that meme of like mind-blowing like people.
- 25:21SPEAKER_00: So when I talk to them about Bitcoin, because I can just like even though I talked his ear off when other people knew I was into it, and they would ask, like, he'd be like, ask Stacy, she knows about it.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: And I would just kind of try to stick to like something that wouldn't be too overwhelming, and I would try to keep it simple, and I would wait for them to ask questions and I would answer.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: And you know, my technique evolved over time, but then he felt like people when they would talk to me, they would just have that like I get it now, like almost like my my mind opened up.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: So he's like, it's like a supernova of their brain.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: Um so that's what he called it.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: And then when me and Elizabeth met, she actually responded to one of my posts saying that the word nova means like two energies coming together and creating a burst of light.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: And I didn't even I thought supernova was one thing, but nova is a different thing where there's two two stars.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: And I was like, and she was like, That's how it is, like the energy coming together of like not just me and her, but a lot of Bitcoiners, it feels like it just like amplifies, you know, whatever it is.
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: So I feel like me and her meeting felt like that, uh, especially the second time because we we spent more time together.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: And then we also, I don't know, it's been a few times that we've met now.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: We were in Ohio together, we were like together again last night.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we're friends now.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: So this uh photo behind me right here, the not photo, the art piece, the yellow one.
- 26:37SPEAKER_00: Um, we had seen that at the Chicago Bitcoin Collective V for V event that we had, and there was this set of those.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: There was two of them.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: One was uh the stats symbol, the other one had the Bitcoin symbol, and it's like a dream catcher.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: And I loved the art piece, and then we had seen the woman again.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: She's uh Lady Blockchain.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: We saw her again in Ohio.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: So I just want to give her a shout out because she's amazing.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: She even does like Bitcoin tattoos that she hand draws, like the the stick-on tattoos, you know.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: So she was yeah, so it's like her business card on the one side, and then it's like, you know, the tattoo, and you just like put it, you could she has like all different designs.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: She like draw, she paints them herself, you know, so they're like hand painted.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: And she's amazing, and I love her art, and she's done so many cool pieces that the collective has bought from her over the years.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: Um, she's a great artist, so I just wanted to give her a shout-out.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: But she Elizabeth gave me this as like so now we have like matching art pieces.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: So this is a gift from her last night.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: So I'm just so happy she's like a total friend of mine.
- 27:40SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's cool.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: It's like a little friendship bracelet back in the day.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: It's so cool.
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: I love how the community has brought you um just those relationships and has been able to expand what you could have ever imagined, what could, you know, happen in the future.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: Um, I I it's inspiring because there's times where yeah, you kind of feel like you're in your own little bubble of your world, right?
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: Of like, does anyone understand this, you know, or like, are we cuckoo?
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: You know, like what's going on?
- 28:10SPEAKER_02: And he's like, I don't care.
- 28:12SPEAKER_02: I am cuckoo.
- 28:12SPEAKER_02: I am cuckoo and I don't care.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: No, but it's it's really cool and inspiring to see to hear that because that's we we thrive off connection, like Anthony and we love meeting people and then to meet people that actually understand what we're talking about and have the same similar mindset in life.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: That's such a be beautiful thing because we do, we, we are very intentional with those relationships, especially as you get older.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: Like you said, some people kind of have fallen out of our life, and um, and that's okay.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: Um, and it's exciting to see where that goes in the future.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Um, and I I would love for you, just for someone who maybe is coming newer into this space, what is conduit?
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: What could you kind of share about what that is?
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Conduit is incredible.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: So it's uh the basic idea overall is when you think of a bazaar and you think of a church bazaar or a school bazaar, and people are there setting up their tables and selling things peer-to-peer.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: So conduit is doing that and taking that into the internet, into the open web.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: So that idea of peer-to-peer money with Bitcoin and being able to allow commerce on an open network, and people can set up their shops anywhere across this open market, which is built on Naster rails, you know.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: So people like if they don't understand it, they don't have to know that it's built on Noster because, you know, I like what um Eric, the CEO, says like he he talks about how when we get on a video call, we don't talk about the underlying technology behind the video call, we just say we're getting on a call.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: So you don't have to like explain all of that to everybody, you know, and he's building this platform in such a way to make it accessible to people who are non-Bitcoiners too, and and make it easy for them to sign up with this Naster account to be on this open system so that people can not just list on Conduit, but if Conduit were to um not be around tomorrow, you know, your identity exists, your shop exists, it stays with your Naster key.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: You can move around to different platforms and this interoperability that you list a product that you're selling on conduit and it shows up across any marketplace because there's a bunch of marketplaces being built, like everyone's doing their own thing, building one.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: And if you don't like one experience, you use another experience.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Um, but what conduit is doing is making it a really good user experience so that people can have a whole merchant portal and you can see all your orders from across the nostrils in one place.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: Um, so because some people have stuff listed on one site, but then they don't have maybe the checkout, because not everybody's trying to be what conduit's trying to be.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: They have a website and they want to have this, you know, same specification they call it, where everyone could read the sale of the listings.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: But they don't, they're not spending the time, let's say, not everybody to like create this um platform that works the way that you know an Amazon would work.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: So it's like a Bitcoin Amazon pretty much.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: That's like another thing.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: So you get to keep your money.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: So when you sell something on there, you keep a hundred percent of what that is that you sell instead of somebody like a platform taking um 10 to 40% of your revenue, you know, making you pay a monthly fee to be part of the platform, charging you for every little thing.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: So what happens is conduit takes this 2.1% fee um added to the total number of the transactions.
- 31:35SPEAKER_00: So the merchant still gets what they listed for, what they expected to receive.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: And then that extra 2.1% is um is like this payment split thing that conduit does where we have our avatars and our slogans.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Our avatars were band um bandanas over our eyes, and the slogan is mind your own business.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: So it's because the builders of that world of the conduit marketplace realm.
- 32:00SPEAKER_01: This episode is brought to you by Microsieve.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: Microsey engraves your entire Bitcoin seed phrase onto fireproof, waterproof, steel, or titanium.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Small enough to fit in your palm, strong enough to last a lifetime.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: It's durable, easy to hide, and built for secure storage.
- 32:14SPEAKER_02: If your seed phrase is still on paper, it's time to upgrade and take self-custody to the next level.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: Because not your keys, not your coins.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: Go to microscopio and use code Luna, L-U-N-A, for a discount or check the link in the description below.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: They are building tools to empower people, and you we are not watching your transactions.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: We are not a money transmitter.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: We are building the tools to give you a home for a marketplace and um and not seeing into your transactions.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: We're not trying to take a cut.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: None of that is our business.
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: So it's like mind your own business is the slogan, and I think it's it's awesome.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: But the thing the reason it's like a bazaar, which is amazing, and this is another tie back to Elizabeth, is because we've hosted a couple of event markets.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: So conduit made it possible for the V for V event that we had in for Ohio, and even at my local meetup last week, you can become an event host and you can create a market on like an event on Conduit.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: And it gets seen across all of the Naster, you know, calendar events.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Like everybody that has these specifications, they see it everywhere.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: It's not just a conduit thing.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: So it's really cool.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Um, but you can invite merchants.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Um, they could participate, they can join you at this meetup, bring stuff that they're selling, and people that can't be there, they could either ship you things or they can give it to a friend that's gonna be there and they could bring their items to sell at this farmer's market style thing.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: And you can print out the event QR code right from conduit.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: People could scan the event QR code and see all the things that are available.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: And you can even share the shopping link before the event comes up.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: So if you know there's only gonna be 10 of a product that you really want one of, instead of waiting to get there and see that everyone bought it, you could zap out ahead of time and then just pick it up in person with your code.
- 34:03SPEAKER_02: That's so cool.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: And then the merchants or the people that are selling the items, even if they are there or not there, they receive a direct payment, you know, wherever they are, you know.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: So you're just like they're handing off their stuff and they're getting the direct payment.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: But Eric is making it possible too now to do these payments splits because it was something people really were asking for.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: And it's making it possible for people that are hosting event markets to be able to choose a payment split.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: You could choose any percentage or you could choose zero if you don't want to earn anything.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: But if you want to choose one or two percent of all sales, it would be like an added again on top of whatever people are selling it for.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: And you would have an incentive to host your own market and gather the people because you're doing a service by bringing everything together.
- 34:47SPEAKER_03: And yeah.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: And it kind of creates that like that bizarre feeling, and people are able to, you don't have to think at the end of the night.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: When we've seen people at conferences, they have a whole table and a bunch of people's products that they bring to sell.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: But then you have to think how many of these did I sell and keep really good records and how many sats do I owe everybody?
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: And then you have to send everybody sats at the end.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: It's just like a pain in the butt.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: So when we were doing these event markets, people were loving it because um you're able to just handle a bunch of orders.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: People could come and scan the QR code even while you're talking to somebody else, zap out and just show you that they bought something and you're just handed.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: Like you don't have to do, like, you don't have to be in the middle of a conversation and somebody uh waiting to ask you how much something costs, like at my local meetup.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: We would be bringing uh our products.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: Like I sell olive oil and honey, and I would bring stuff because I was encouraged by one of our friends to start bottling our olive oil and honey from Greece.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: But then people always talk about buying it, but at the end of the night, we're like scrambling to figure out who like how much, which bottle do I want or how many of each, and and then trying to figure out how much the total is, and like, you know, it's like you're in the middle of a conversation the whole meetup, so you don't want to interrupt the person and you're like, I'll just wait till later.
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: And then maybe some people just walk away, I'll do it next time, forget it.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Um, but the last meetup that I went to, our monthly meetup, I did an event market and I I just had my stuff and some of the conduit merch.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: And before I even had time to set up the table and take a nice picture of all like the olive oil and honey I had there, people were already like, oh, let me see what is like I want to try it.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: And they were already like scanning the code and and like doing it.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: Like I would just kind of walk them through, and it was you could check out as guest.
- 36:31SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be a um, you know, a nostril member, like you don't have to have a a key to check out, you could check out with Cash App already, so that enables normies to be able to check out and even Apple Pays coming soon, um so that they could have these like instant, you know, they take like it's like the credit card processor takes stable coin and converts it to Bitcoin, like the Lightning Network.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: So people could just check out with a credit card, but we want to make it a credit card premium so that people can see, oh well, if I use this Bitcoin thing, it's cheaper.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: Like, how do I go and do that?
- 37:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh so there's a bunch of cool stuff coming up.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: The ability to be part of it with little or no knowledge of Naster or Bitcoin is also upcoming because they're making it so that you don't have to have an external signer.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: Because right now with these Naster keys, you need to have a signing app, and they're making it possible to generate a a wallet right there on the platform, um, like a Spark wallet like Primal uses, and or you could import your wallet, whatever.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: But you don't have to like use these connectors if you don't want to you could generate a new wallet and you could just create a Noster key right on there if you want, um, as a new merchant.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: So they don't have to think like so much about all these steps and how do I sign up and this is too hard.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: So he's making it so easy, and so cool.
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: The team is making it so easy.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: It's a whole, it's a whole group of us right now, and um, I will pause there.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: So that is that is so cool.
- 37:59SPEAKER_02: I I think even for so many creative people, you know, that are all you know, creating things.
- 38:04SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we're tinkering and thinking about things that we could be creating too.
- 38:07SPEAKER_02: And um, it's great that the that there is now a space specifically for Bitcoiners and then for people who are just entering the space of Bitcoin to still to give them that opportunity to actually see it in transaction, you know, and I think that's gonna be a huge part of the we always say like that adoption phase of Bitcoin.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: Cause I think that's a really important thing too that conduits doing and what you guys are doing as a team is making it more accessible and making it more real.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Cause, you know, in the beginning I was like, is this this where is Bitcoin?
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: You know, does it just exist in this black hole forever?
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: I don't know where it goes, you know?
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: And so that's such a great thing.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and to add on that, um, this is really interesting to me, like this conduits.
- 38:52SPEAKER_01: Like, how many people are on your team right now?
- 38:53SPEAKER_01: Like, how big is conduit?
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: Like, how how does this work?
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Do I have to count one, two, three?
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: There's five of us right now.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Okay, nice.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: And then when you say I might miss a little disconnect.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: So when you say like you guys have like to host these events, is it all online or is it in person?
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: So the event markets are in person.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: The regular conduit.market, when you sign up as a merchant and you just list the shop, you start selling or listing your items, um, you do that just online.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: You can set your shipping rates.
- 39:21SPEAKER_00: You know, they actually just updated their shipping uh to this new thing now where you can even say over a certain price it's free shipping, you know.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: So they made that part better.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: And uh, and even to be able to calculate shipping or just the way you want it done is is a lot better.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: And instead of just having to like think for each time you list something.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: Um, but the event markets are in person.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: So the event markets are the whole point of the bazaar and being able to take that idea of what a bazaar is and getting paid peer-to-peer and being able to make that ability to have that in the open web.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: You know, you're able to have that, like you don't have places where you can like nobody's price gouging you every step you take, like trying to take something constantly, you know, and all your hard work and and everything you're doing.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: And this is huge too, because when you think about when when the word starts to spread, not just about the event markets, just listing items on a marketplace setting where it doesn't have a huge learning curve to get involved and you could just be part of it.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: And the more merchants that come in, the more it attracts other merchants.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: And because people, once they're in there, then they want to support other people who also get to keep more of their own money.
- 40:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 40:29SPEAKER_00: And it's like you, this thing is gonna grow.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: It's like the flywheel thing, too, of Bitcoin, and it'll move the needle for Bitcoin because people are using it and spending it and actually doing something with it and earning it.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: And um, and I think that just once people start finding out, like imagine like the word spreads and outside of the Bitcoin space, they start finding out, like, wow, I can be part of this marketplace where I don't have to give away most of my earning, like so long earnings.
- 40:54SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 40:55SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: Like how that is huge for Bitcoin.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: Like, I think this is insane, like awesome, like crazy.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Like I can't even get it.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: And that's why I love it because it's not just I'm doing a Bitcoin job where I feel like I have to do this thing because I'd rather be doing my podcast.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like excited to talk about it on my podcast, have people on that are building this world and um and share it so that more people can find out because this is like we're living through a change.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: And I think we've already noticed that we've been living through a change with Bitcoin already.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: But I'm just super hyped about being part of something that is doing stuff like this.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: And I'm proud to be part of a team that as head of community, I am in charge of connecting with you guys, telling you about it, but also making it feel just educational.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: It also obviously feedback is encouraged because even if it's bad feedback, we want to know because we want to make it a really great experience for you so that we can get to that point faster.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: You know, the that point will come sooner with feedback and with uh so I am like a conduit between community and the tech team, you know.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: So I'm like helping shape what this is.
- 42:03SPEAKER_00: But um, besides that, ideas for how to spread the word to those people and the marketing side of it is been really fun because you know, we have so much so many talented people doing talented things with with the team about creating content and getting the content out there and not making it this like whole, you know, using AI help to like get things out there and but making it different.
- 42:31SPEAKER_00: And I love it because I made like one video and and the team was excited about it.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: So they're like, this is really cool, like to be able to promote conduit in this storyline sort of way to be able to tell this story.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: And it's not just like, oh, I feel like I have to read or learn something right now.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: It actually makes it like fun and cool to watch, like it's actually like a little mini movie or something.
- 42:51SPEAKER_00: But we've been collecting um real people that are real characters, like we're building characters for them in this world so that when we share their shop or maybe they're part of an event market, we can kind of just have these characters made, have the story that we've been building, have what conduit is being built in the back end, and then um being able to just prompt a story and say, this is what we're talking about today.
- 43:16SPEAKER_00: And then it creates what we want and we could, we're like shaping this narrative.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: This it's a story unfolding, really.
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:23SPEAKER_00: So we're taking the real people and turning them into part of this world that we're sharing that story.
- 43:28SPEAKER_00: So it's like a way of marketing where they can be part of it.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: They also think it's fun, you know, they get to be like, not only am I doing because Eric's whole thing is like we are not like we look like these superhero costumes, but everybody is a hero in their own way, like everybody can empower themselves, like becoming a hero by empowering yourself, you know.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: So this idea of becoming your own hero because you're taking your own control.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: And that's like why we are excited to once people become a merchant or they are.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: A supporter of Conduit because they're spreading the word that way.
- 44:03SPEAKER_00: Like you can, like the IBC character for Tim Meemeyer from the Illinois Bitcoin Console, um, because he made a whole video about it and he's posting it on his website to empower Chicago merchants.
- 44:14SPEAKER_00: So these types of things are what's gets you access to being part of this uh story that's unfolding.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: That's amazing.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: I could like see the excitement that like jumps out of you and like all of your energy with conduit.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: That's really cool.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: And again, always learning, always trying to do something new, always trying to create something new.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: It keeps you going.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Because again, going back to what we talked about in the very beginning, it's so easy to just be like, hey, I'm not gonna uh to connect with somebody because everybody's so surface level, right?
- 44:42SPEAKER_01: But here you're like literally connecting, you're trying to find people to connect, we're saving money, right?
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: Anyway, and then and right now, too.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: I honestly believe any platform that's being created, being built where people can save their money because everybody's getting robbed right now, you know, yeah, just like by crazy stuff.
- 45:00SPEAKER_01: Like it's it's crazy how there's not a war, like yeah, I know, I know.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: I think about that too.
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: It's like, how is there not an uprising yet?
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Like, aren't people fed up?
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: But that's what it is.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: It's like this whole idea of the youth is growing up in this world, and you are hearing it.
- 45:13SPEAKER_00: You're seeing videos, you're seeing content um that people are sharing where they're like, How am I supposed to live?
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: How am I supposed to do like this?
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: I went to college, I did all the things, and this is how I struggle.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: Like, what is this?
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: What is this world?
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: You know, so people are starting to like, it's like the tension is building, and that's why something like this, something that can empower people that is different from other platforms.
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: Imagine so the way that these things worked before.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Like, people think, oh, I don't want to be on Naster because it's like Twitter is better, there's a bigger network effect.
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: Well, Naster is not trying to be Twitter, like Naster's trying to be a layer for building things like conduit.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: So it's being able to take your identity and move around.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: So, like, let's say when I grew up with like MySpace, and then I liked MySpace, and then Facebook became popular, and then I think Facebook's boring, and I don't even like Facebook, I just know but everyone uses Facebook, so like then you're stuck on Facebook because if you leave, then you're starting fresh somewhere else with zero, nobody knows you.
- 46:10SPEAKER_00: Your identity begins from the beginning.
- 46:12SPEAKER_00: Like you have to find friends and connect all over again.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: But you might not like maybe you want like a more fun version of Facebook, but you're stuck with Facebook because it's like locked in this cage, and you're like, I don't like the boring, like sterile look of this platform.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: I'm not a fan, but that's all you have.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: So with Naster, it's like you might not like Primal, but then there's other platforms like Naster with a U.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: And then there's Ditto, and then there's probably a million, like a bunch of others, like everyone's building their own client.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: So you can have an app and be like, I like this app better, and then take your Naster key there and use that version and have all your friends with you and all of your customers and all of your store data and all the stuff that you do, that your legacy can be taken to whichever person you like with what they're building the best.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: And so it creates this competition to like build something better and cooler and uh easier to use and like not feel like you're stuck in a cage of one person's build.
- 47:04SPEAKER_00: Um, and so what I love also is the interoperability and the openness of what what this whole um you know protocol is.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: It's not a platform, Noster, it's a protocol like a Bitcoin.
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: So I remember seeing my olive oil listing on one of my friends' sites, local Bitcoiners, and they had featured my honey on the page, and I shared a post.
- 47:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh look, my honey, they're they're featured.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: It's not it's not the type of thing where you're like, oh, we shouldn't share that because we're competing.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: No, it's like this whole thing is about like everyone is using that specification.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: This is great to see that our listings are working together.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: But then someone outside the space saw my listing.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: I've never talked to this person before.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: They commented saying, Hey, that's really cool.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: I tried to buy it though.
- 47:52SPEAKER_00: Um, and it the link didn't work.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: Can you send me a link to get it?
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: So he and I sent him a link to the conduit page.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: And I told him like the interoperability is still getting because, like I'd said earlier, not everyone that's building these are prepared to have the merchant hub experience, right?
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: So you can still show it on your site, but you're not going to take the time to say, like, let's fully build this out.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: But conduit is doing that.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: So we were discussing, and then we came up with uh Eric came up with a deep link to people's sites to be like, hey, you guys can use our deep link.
- 48:29SPEAKER_00: You could, and then you could get a split for the order coming through you guys, like for you guys.
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: So it's like it it benefits everybody because they're like, you know, I still get to show everybody's stuff, I get to feature it, and then if and then I can have you can have one home where all of your orders go to and a really good experience, but then everybody could benefit because you can get like a little almost like a tip for somebody finding it off your page.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: Oh so cool.
- 48:52SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 48:53SPEAKER_02: I it's it's so awesome.
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: And I love the um the story that you guys are creating with the characters.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: I feel like that goes back to maybe your you know gaming days where you know I know a lot of video games, I didn't play a lot of video games, but I know that there was always sometimes like a mini movie that would happen in the beginning of the video game, right?
- 49:14SPEAKER_02: So I can see how that was kind of a spark, but what you're creating is just so cool and to be there in the beginning.
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: Like that's what's the that's the cool part of it all, is I feel like that's what's sparking so much joy for me, Stacey, is like you get to start something that you're excited about and you're seeing it in real life and you're making these actual connections, you know, when you're in those meetups, and then you're you're like, oh my gosh, we're gonna make it even 10 times better by adding these merchants and being able to, you know, show that we're interacting with Bitcoin, not just talking about Bitcoin.
- 49:50SPEAKER_02: And I just think that is so cool and it makes me excited because that's like it allows people who are creative to think outside the box, but they don't want to go back into the fiat world really with it.
- 50:03SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: They're like I call it mining Bitcoin technically.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: I mean, technically, it's just like oh, because we talk about going to work and you're mining fiat.
- 50:11SPEAKER_00: You're like, oh, I'm in the fiat mines today.
- 50:13SPEAKER_00: But then now it's like you can create something and earn Bitcoin for it.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: So your proof of work is earning you Bitcoin.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: So you're like in the Bitcoin mines now instead of fiat mines.
- 50:22SPEAKER_01: That's so good.
- 50:23SPEAKER_01: And you can just put any product on there, anything that you create.
- 50:26SPEAKER_00: Any, yeah, you can put services, like there's people doing services.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Um there there are so many possibilities, and that's the thing.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: This is a world that we create.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: So anybody who we we've been encouraging people to join the signal group, and we've even built a decentralized community on Armada, which is uh built on the Naster protocol, but it is a decentralized version of um of Discord.
- 50:51SPEAKER_00: So we've been trying to uh build that up too.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: But like it's a place where you can share ideas, you can ask for things that you might want out of a platform.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: And again, being there so early too, your voice is big, you know.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: So if you have an idea, it's like we're listening to we we want to continue listening to people always, you know.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: But it's like, especially now when it's being shaped and formed and created, you can have an input in like what features would you like to have, or what's maybe a little difficult for you that might be a barrier.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: Because we all want the same thing.
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: We all want to see more people be empowered, first of all.
- 51:21SPEAKER_00: You want to see more people like you see small businesses everywhere closing after all these years of being open.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, you know, people, yeah, like I I've seen it in my area, like places that have been longer open longer than we have at my mom's salon.
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: And they're starting to close.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: And I feel the strangulation of our business too over time, and it's a small business, and it's sad to see that it just gets harder for people and families to earn a living.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: So being able to give them something that can grow as more people start using it is is so exciting.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad you guys feel the energy because this is what I I just want to like tell people somehow all at once to just be like you need to learn about this, just like how you needed to learn about Bitcoin.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: This is this is the way that we get people to use it.
- 52:08SPEAKER_00: I don't know, I'm super, super excited.
- 52:09SPEAKER_00: And even when it comes to farmers markets and stuff, when you think about Bitcoin bazaars, you know, and you think about a Bitcoin meetup, but let you think about your local farmer's market, and you're like, what if we do a Bitcoin meetup at the farmers market and then we tell all the other people at the farmers market, hey, you can also be part of this.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: And if you can't come next week, you can give me some of your stuff or whatever, you know what I mean?
- 52:32SPEAKER_00: Connect with the local community and then teach them that they could be part of a platform that even if they're not selling vegetables and fruits that they may not want to ship, what if they're creating bracelets and they could list them on conduit and be able to have earnings from a from a thing that they never would have had visibility from, first of all, and now you get visibility across all the people building a marketplace and you get to keep all your earnings when you sell it, like and there's no monthly subscription to be like what do you have to lose besides creating a listing?
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: It's just it's amazing.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: Completely whole new ecosystem, and people are gonna look for different ways because people are creative and people are solution seekers.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: Business owners are gonna see the traditional system, it's not working, traditional business not working, they're getting strangled.
- 53:17SPEAKER_01: Like, where else?
- 53:18SPEAKER_01: And they'll just start looking for different options and platforms, and this is where it grows.
- 53:22SPEAKER_01: That's how everything grows.
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: Like, and you can tell, like, I could just tell by the passion in your voice, like the vision that you guys all have there.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: And it's it's great that you're putting like your boots on the ground and like, hey, let's let's make this happen and listening to people's feedback.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: Like, there's no better time than when people are giving you feedback and they're trying new things because then people can be, you know, good and bad.
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: It's any feedback is good feedback.
- 53:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 53:46SPEAKER_01: And so uh, I'm super excited.
- 53:48SPEAKER_01: Definitely gonna look into it because we've kind of been like, man, we need to have like some type of services or some type of products and like just throw stuff on there, like and just add value however we can.
- 53:58SPEAKER_01: So we just started like getting some hats in the making.
- 54:01SPEAKER_01: So we're like, we're gonna put it on conduit.
- 54:03SPEAKER_02: Like, oh my god, that's awesome! Yeah, so we'll be in connection with you in case we have to.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: If you have any questions and figure this out, so it'll be cool because this is can be like a platform that we can just like throw it on here right away.
- 54:15SPEAKER_01: And so yeah, oh, I have goosebumps again.
- 54:17SPEAKER_00: See how excited I am.
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: See, and this is just like an extra way that you can create cool designs, you can create whatever, you know, you can create anything.
- 54:24SPEAKER_00: And with today's tools, I mean, anybody can say, I feel like making hats, right?
- 54:31SPEAKER_00: So now I want to like create my own patch or I want to learn how to put them on, or how do you do these things?
- 54:35SPEAKER_00: I even found out at your local library, like my local library, they have so many tools that people could use to like screen print their own shirts, and you can do um, like like my library has um an embroidery machine there, and you can even make embroidery.
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: Your library might have it too.
- 54:52SPEAKER_00: Anyone who's listening, you might have a makery.
- 54:55SPEAKER_00: Ours is called a makery.
- 54:56SPEAKER_00: So then you can go there, you can create embroidery, you can create, they have like heat press machines, so you can press the patches onto things.
- 55:04SPEAKER_00: There's like so much stuff.
- 55:06SPEAKER_00: There's 3D printers there, there's so much like that people can do.
- 55:10SPEAKER_00: And I'm sure there's probably so much at people's libraries that they don't realize that they have available to them.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: And you can just come up with ideas and start making things, you know.
- 55:18SPEAKER_00: And after you do one, you can create 10.
- 55:20SPEAKER_00: Like you already did it once.
- 55:22SPEAKER_00: Create 10 of the same thing, and then now you have 10 available to sell.
- 55:25SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have to sell and see how it's like I don't know, it's just the time.
- 55:29SPEAKER_00: It takes you the time to make the things, it's not like you're you know, you were building your store, however you want it, you know.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: So it's just I'm so excited you guys are doing it.
- 55:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah.
- 55:39SPEAKER_01: We just put our first order in.
- 55:41SPEAKER_01: So hopefully we'll get them soon.
- 55:43SPEAKER_01: I think like a week and a half or two weeks.
- 55:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know why it's taking long, but um just the I'm just embracing the whole journey and just like you know, you can see where it goes from like with maybe shirts or something or sweaters, like and just have fun with it.
- 55:55SPEAKER_01: Like, right.
- 55:56SPEAKER_01: Why not have fun with it?
- 55:57SPEAKER_01: Why not have our own products?
- 55:58SPEAKER_01: Why not be in control?
- 55:59SPEAKER_01: Like you said, why not have to split, not have to share, save money and add value, mine Bitcoin.
- 56:06SPEAKER_01: That's where we're gonna go with.
- 56:07SPEAKER_01: We're mining Bitcoin, Stacey.
- 56:09SPEAKER_01: And just enjoy this whole process, and then um it'll be cool because then maybe we can interact and uh share some of our thoughts and how we, you know, on our onboarding process and you know, stuff like that.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: So and you could become characters in this evolving story and show that your kids that you're in this character world and be like, look, there's mom, mom and dad, they're merchants in this world, you know, as people walk past, they see it's just uh it's so cool.
- 56:32SPEAKER_00: Plus, your kids can create with you too.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: You know, it's like as your kids grow up too, they're like, Oh, what are you doing?
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: And they're learning something by doing things with you too.
- 56:39SPEAKER_00: And it's like it could be a bonding experience, it could be just create creating things is uh is beautiful and fun.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: And it's um, and then it kind of brings you back to being present.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, it's nice to to step away, but also just I love the whole combination of the online store and the event thing and being able to say, you know what, either the farmer's market idea or at your meetup.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: And I mean, nobody really I don't know if a lot of people let I mean, I'll I'll let you guys wrap it up if you want to wrap it up after this, but I don't know if a lot of people um do a lot of circular economy type stuff in Bitcoin at their at their local meetup.
- 57:16SPEAKER_00: But I was encouraged by uh, I think I mentioned him already, but local Bitcoiners, Rob Hottel, he, somebody that I've met, and he encouraged me to sell.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: And I'm so grateful for that because he is literally telling everybody, like, like after having a conversation with them, realizing the kind of stuff they're into, he's like, you should make that and you should bring it here to sell it for Bitcoin.
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: Like, so you it takes people to kind of connect with each other and hear what they're doing and encourage them to start too, you know, because then everyone has like these talents and and you could mine Bitcoin with it.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: Why not?
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: You know, if you like people love all sorts of handmade things and higher quality materials and whatever people are doing.
- 57:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:55SPEAKER_01: People love crazy things.
- 57:56SPEAKER_01: So, like, and think about all the stuff in the fiat world, all these little things, bracelets, necklaces, jewelry, yeah, shirts.
- 58:02SPEAKER_01: Like you can just move that over into this world and save money and not have to get strangled from fees and memberships and subscriptions and all this other stuff.
- 58:09SPEAKER_01: You can just like have your own little market.
- 58:12SPEAKER_01: Um, no, I think that's I think that's amazing.
- 58:14SPEAKER_01: I I I'm like, I'm like got my wheels turning because I do think it's important for people to add value and it keeps you young.
- 58:22SPEAKER_01: It keeps you where you just feel like in the hunt, you're sharp.
- 58:25SPEAKER_01: You're like, hey, what can I create next?
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: How can I add value?
- 58:28SPEAKER_01: How can I help people?
- 58:29SPEAKER_01: When you got your wheels turning and you're being creative and you're not like uh you're not going through the motions in life, because it really feels like everyone's going through the motions of life, work, weekend, school, yeah, home.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: You know, and everything feels slow.
- 58:41SPEAKER_00: You know how like government is slow too, and like and like ideas move slow.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: Like in this space, like when somebody has an idea or they have feedback, the team is on it.
- 58:51SPEAKER_00: They're like creating the updates within that week, within days sometimes.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: They're they're updating things.
- 58:58SPEAKER_00: And when people have like, it was like the idea to even have the first event market was not something conduit planned on even doing initially, maybe one day.
- 59:06SPEAKER_00: But for some reason it was like, I don't know how it even evolved to like, well, let's try to do it.
- 59:10SPEAKER_00: It was like a two-week, two-week thing that created the event market, and then now we're in the process of recreating it because I think it'll be ready in the next week or two.
- 59:17SPEAKER_00: But like it was such a rush to get it out there and and it worked.
- 59:20SPEAKER_00: You know, we got it to work, but it was just like it could be made better with the code so that it's not glitchy and having bugs.
- 59:26SPEAKER_00: Um, so they're re they're fixing it up so it could be smooth and easy to use for people while they're doing all these other updates.
- 59:32SPEAKER_00: Like they call it repairing the engine while you're on the highway.
- 59:35SPEAKER_00: Like they're just like that, it's already moving and they're just like, you know, changing things as it's going, you know, while we're in the event, they're like, oh, let's tweak.
- 59:43SPEAKER_00: But I it's fascinating and it's cool to see that there's like you you give feedback and you see changes, and it's like that's so rare too.
- 59:51SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, I love it.
- 59:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, that's really good.
- 59:54SPEAKER_01: And then the faster you get stuff out there, like you said, like, oh, we kind of rushed stuff, the faster you'll you can tweak and fix things.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_01: So you're you're failing forward, you're like, okay, cool, like that doesn't work.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_01: Uh put the next rail on, you know.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_00: Then instead of waiting, like Satoshi did it with Bitcoin, instead of saying, I'm gonna wait till I think it's perfect, he put it out there and he's like, Okay, and then it was almost like okay, we should, I think, almost like there was maintenance going on, you know, with Bitcoin.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_00: It's not like he created the white paper first and then it was almost like he put Bitcoin out and then almost like reverse like this, okay.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: It works now.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I think that's that's how it went down.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: It was like, let's just put it out there and then we'll tweak, you know, or something.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_00: Um, but I think that's how a lot of things do happen.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: That's how you learn.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_00: And it would take a lot more time if you just drag and don't like, you know, it might be painful sometimes, but then this space is so energetic and the people in it are so energetic and they're excited to to do the things.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: It's not draining to have to fix a problem.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: You're excited about the next move and all the ways you could help.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, I love your energy, Stacy, and what you're doing in this space.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_02: And I've just been inspired by just how you know much you've grown in a short amount of time, but also it's the community, you know, it's like being able to put yourself out there and then your awesome husband kind of pushing you to next levels of yourself.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_02: And I think that's such a beautiful thing.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_02: And obviously, we have this podcast so we can kind of present that couples can do things together and we can learn to communicate with each other and we can just do things, you know, together and encourage each other and inspire each other always.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_02: And exactly, exactly.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_02: And I love hearing that that part of everyone's story too.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_02: And it's it's so cool that you've been able to openly just be like, yeah, George just really like was like, do this, and you're like, okay, Paula, shout out to Paula.
- 1:01:42SPEAKER_00: I know, and shout out to Paula too, yes, and Elizabeth for seeing things that people don't normally see themselves, you know.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_00: Um, so yeah, it's like there's so many great people doing amazing things, and um, I'm just so glad to be able to have mentioned them and thank you for doing shout-outs too.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_00: And it's it's exciting.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad you guys could see that.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_00: And this is what I I want people to know.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_00: Like, I feel like I want to shout it from the rooftops, or how do I, you know, but that's why like creating this stuff is so fun for me because you get to see that the energy is spreading and people are getting it like in a different way.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_00: Like you just have to get people to get it.
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_00: And one of the ways is these podcasts.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, definitely.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_01: So we like to end our show with if someone's entering the Bitcoin space for the first time, uh, what kind of advice would you give to them?
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_00: I would say go to a Bitcoin meetup and meet some Bitcoiners.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_00: That is probably the best way to start because if you're curious and you I feel like the it's not like when we get together, even at a meetup.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_00: Um, we're not even at at my house.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_00: When they all came back to my house, we weren't discussing Bitcoin the whole time.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_00: We were just genuine, real people that were happy and the energy was great.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: And then you, if you have questions, you could ask them, we'd be happy to talk about Bitcoin because you know how much we love it.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_00: Um, so everyone was super helpful and they would enjoy teaching you whatever it is that you want to ask about it and give you tips.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_00: So I think in person is the best way because um, I mean, even listening to podcasts, that's how a lot of us started.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_00: Listening to podcasts is great.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_00: Like your show uh is great to hear people's stories, what they're doing in Bitcoin and who they are, you know, as people.
- 1:03:16SPEAKER_00: But just being able to go to a meetup, and I would say um some people find them on meetup.com, some people find them on Club Orange.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_00: But if you're not a Bitcoiner, I think meetup.com would be the place where you'd look for a local Bitcoin meetup.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_00: Uh, I would say that's better than going to a conference for the first time because you don't know anybody yet.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_00: So I don't feel like it's as easy to feel like you're part of something.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I would I would suggest that because I think that way you can see what they're all about and see that they're not um that it's it is just the best way to start now.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_00: Like before I would have said just podcasts, but I'm like, I think a combination of those two things is is a really great way to start.
- 1:03:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's great.
- 1:03:55SPEAKER_01: I think and it because even meeting people in person, it's way better, definitely in person.
- 1:03:59SPEAKER_01: And we haven't even we haven't even done a big a Bitcoin meetup or gone to something like that.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_01: So that'll be great.
- 1:04:06SPEAKER_00: You can buy a Bitcoin shirt from somebody creating one on Conduit, and then you can wear it to your meetup so they know that you're they're like who's this person like wondering?
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_00: Oh, you're part of us, you know, come over here.
- 1:04:14SPEAKER_00: Like you could have a little bitcoin symbol on you.
- 1:04:16SPEAKER_00: Um so so it's like an easy way to find the people that will like like you don't know who this group is for if you don't have a sign up.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I don't know.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_02: That's a very good, very good point, Stacey.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_02: You're gonna be like, I'm going on this blind date and I have no idea what to look for.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_00: But if I see an orange bee, yeah, or if you see someone wearing orange, you know, even just wearing orange, you're like, oh, you must be in a Bitcoiner.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_00: That's also funny.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 1:04:42SPEAKER_02: Well, Stacey, thank you so much for taking the time with us.
- 1:04:46SPEAKER_02: And we just so appreciate everything that you're doing for the community, the Bitcoin community, and what you're doing in your local community.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_02: I think it's so awesome.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_02: Um, and I think it's going to inspire a lot of people as you've seen that it's spider-s too.
- 1:05:01SPEAKER_02: Um but yeah, where can people connect with you, Stacy?
- 1:05:04SPEAKER_00: Um, so you can find me on X mainly.
- 1:05:06SPEAKER_00: That's the best place.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_00: Um, LinkedIn, you know, I think I'm just um Stacy Costopolis on LinkedIn, but I'm uh, or Stacy the Bitcoinova.
- 1:05:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know how I'm listed, but if you look up the Bitcoinova uh podcast, that is my channel name.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_00: And my Twitter handle is instead of stacking sats, it's stacing sats.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_00: So it's like if the C was a K.
- 1:05:27SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I'm on Noster too as just Stacey, which is that's the cool thing about getting on Noster early, is you can just be your first name.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_00: Like, where do you get to do that?
- 1:05:36SPEAKER_01: You know, nowhere.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_01: Nowhere now.
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 1:05:38SPEAKER_01: Nowhere now.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_01: Just like for even emails, you had to be like in the very beginning to have like your name and stuff.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_01: Well, thank you so much, Stacey.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_01: We really appreciate this.
- 1:05:47SPEAKER_01: Good luck with everything that you got going on.
- 1:05:49SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be watching and enjoying your journey, and um, this will be it'll be great.
- 1:05:52SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:05:53SPEAKER_00: Looking forward to seeing you guys on the community pages and everything you guys are gonna do and keep doing the podcast.
- 1:05:59SPEAKER_00: That's awesome, and thank you so much for having me on today.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_02: All right, thank you everyone for tuning in to Twin with the Lunas, and we'll see you on the moon.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_01: Peace.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_01: You made it this far, so you might as well hit that subscribe button.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_01: You won't want to miss the conversations we got coming next.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_01: Thanks for watching, and we'll see you on the moon.
