Transcript
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: One of the most confusing wounds women carry into divorce is the feeling that they can't trust themselves.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: So you compensate, you analyze everything, you read every book, you build the perfect routine, and then try to become disciplined enough to finally feel safe and secure.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: But sometimes the reason you don't trust your intuition is actually because you spent your childhood being told your intuition was wrong.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: And when that happens long enough, something inside you learns to go quiet.
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: In today's premium episode, you're gonna hear a coaching session between Coach Tiffany and one of our premium listeners about what it looks like when that voice finally starts coming back online.

- 2:07SPEAKER_02: So welcome in today.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: How are you?
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: It's good to be here.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: I'm excited and a bit nervous, of course.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: Very, very understandable.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 2:18SPEAKER_02: So let's talk about the part that you want to focus on today.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: So this is going to be a manager part that is kind of rare.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: And it was funny because when you sent this over to me originally and you were like, this is the part that I want to work on.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: I looked at that and I was like, whoa, that's been me most of my life.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: And I think that when I'm running through IFS with clients, this is the one that they don't normally choose.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: But I feel like this is so true for so many people.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: So this manager is known as the stoic.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: And so this is the part of you that feels like they have to hold it all together and not feel too much and just keep moving.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: So tell me about how you feel like this part shows up for you in your daily life now.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Well, I am kind of perpetually in survival mode.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Especially I have like a lot of financial scarcity stuff going on.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: I have issues with my kids.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: And where I run is a discipline, not with like the kids, but with within myself.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: I feel like if I can just be better, if I can just get all these routines perfect, if I can have the perfect morning routine and self-discipline that everything's gonna be easier, everything will be better, everything.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: And I think I use that manager to you know to manage that, of course.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:45SPEAKER_02: So definitely it's a manager that helps protect you against overwhelm, shame, and also vulnerability.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: So I would ask you in your life now, how vulnerable do you feel like you can be with people that are in your circle?
