- 0:02Speaker 1: Okay, mister thing, tell me about you, your journey, your story,
- 0:07Speaker 1: and how you got to the place where now you're
- 0:10Speaker 1: helping people through their journeys of where there it's healing, recovery,
- 0:17Speaker 1: all of those things.
- 0:18Speaker 2: All those amazing things, all right, So thank you for
- 0:20Speaker 2: asking that question and give me an opportunity to share
- 0:23Speaker 2: my life story. I grew up in a little neighborhood
- 0:27Speaker 2: in East Phoenix, wonderful family, amazing dad, mother's older brother,
- 0:32Speaker 2: younger sister. I was the troubled middle child. So that
- 0:35Speaker 2: should have been the first indicator that life was going
- 0:37Speaker 2: to be interesting for me because I was in the
- 0:39Speaker 2: middle and I was raised in an offshoot of Christianity, Mormonism.
- 0:47Speaker 2: It's been in my family for two hundred plus years.
- 0:49Speaker 2: My family crossed the Plains, all that good stuff. But
- 0:54Speaker 2: I should have been safe there. I should have been
- 0:57Speaker 2: safe there, but I wasn't safe. And ultimately my life
- 1:01Speaker 2: changed at about eight years of age when I was
- 1:04Speaker 2: brutally assaulted by an adult and that was the beginning
- 1:10Speaker 2: of the end of the life that I could have had,
- 1:14Speaker 2: because unfortunately, you know, when you abuse children and they're
- 1:18Speaker 2: young like that, their minds are easily to manipulate and
- 1:22Speaker 2: adults know that. And so I found myself for six
- 1:26Speaker 2: years at the hands of a pedophile ring that ran
- 1:30Speaker 2: in my neighborhood and also inside of the church that
- 1:32Speaker 2: I went to. I was actually abused in the building,
- 1:35Speaker 2: which is rather disgusting when you think about it. So unfortunately,
- 1:40Speaker 2: when you have repeated trauma, the kind of trauma that
- 1:44Speaker 2: I had as a child, my brain did what it
- 1:46Speaker 2: was designed to do, and it protected me by creating
- 1:50Speaker 2: multiple personalities. So I began splitting as a little boy
- 1:54Speaker 2: to cope with what was happening to me. And I'm
- 1:58Speaker 2: grateful for that experiences. Most of my life I looked
- 2:03Speaker 2: at life from a victim perspective, and I was angry
- 2:06Speaker 2: that all of those things had happened to me, because ultimately,
- 2:10Speaker 2: you know, I was diagnosed very late in life with
- 2:12Speaker 2: d ID. I had ten personalities on which were co conscious.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I did not know that they existed. I was not
- 2:19Speaker 2: aware of them, and bipolar one ADHD severe on this scale.
- 2:25Speaker 2: And then I was also complex PTSD with a disassociation
- 2:30Speaker 2: catatonic states. So I was a hot mess. And then
- 2:34Speaker 2: at the same token, I had a very high profile
- 2:38Speaker 2: career and so I would be on a stage, working
- 2:44Speaker 2: with people in large audiences, demonstrating software, closing deals, managing
- 2:48Speaker 2: half of a country, and then going back to my
- 2:52Speaker 2: hotel room and then literally sleeping in the closet because
- 2:55Speaker 2: that's where it was safe for me, inside of a small,
- 2:58Speaker 2: confined space. So I did my best through life. Ultimately,
- 3:03Speaker 2: when you try and outrun your trauma, it does come back.
- 3:08Speaker 2: And it did came back, and it came back in
- 3:11Speaker 2: the ugliest of ways, and it hijacked my career. Eventually,
- 3:15Speaker 2: my depression is what led to the demise of my
- 3:19Speaker 2: professional career because I couldn't function in the way that
- 3:22Speaker 2: the world needed me to function while I was still
- 3:24Speaker 2: trying to cope with the demons of my past. So
- 3:28Speaker 2: you know, I did your traditional route. I will say
- 3:31Speaker 2: that I'm grateful for my therapist. I started with a therapist.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Had I not started there, I don't know that I'd
- 3:37Speaker 2: be talking today. So I'm grateful for that that skill
- 3:40Speaker 2: that she brought, and she used a technique called emdr
- 3:44Speaker 2: on me, and three months of sitting in the chair crying,
- 3:47Speaker 2: one day I had a breakthrough moment from that protocol
- 3:51Speaker 2: and it unlocked my past. And then I realized late
- 3:54Speaker 2: in my life as a forty year old man that
- 3:57Speaker 2: I had been, you know, essentially trafficked and horrible situations.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And then literally my life became unraveling because now I'm
- 4:06Speaker 2: dealing with these demons that are out of the box,
- 4:09Speaker 2: and my DID became very pronounced, and I was switching
- 4:13Speaker 2: on a pretty regular basis, sometimes by the hour, sometimes
- 4:17Speaker 2: by the week, sometimes by the month. But it made
- 4:20Speaker 2: my life really challenging because I was married to the
- 4:23Speaker 2: most amazing woman on the planet and I'm still married
- 4:26Speaker 2: to that same woman, and I'm so incredibly grateful. And
- 4:29Speaker 2: that's part of our story is that we burned together
- 4:33Speaker 2: as a couple because when I had DID, I didn't
- 4:36Speaker 2: always identify as a heterosexual man married to a woman,
- 4:39Speaker 2: and that was challenging for her. But we worked through it,
- 4:43Speaker 2: you know, and ultimately, here's where my story took a
- 4:47Speaker 2: dramatic turn. At one point, I had seven pillboxes. That
- 4:51Speaker 2: was what the doctors had prescribed me. And I was
- 4:55Speaker 2: over medicated, that was obvious, and I didn't like that.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I had no feeling at all. I had become completely
- 5:01Speaker 2: numb to the world around me and severely depressed, suicidal
- 5:06Speaker 2: all of those things. But I don't know if you're
- 5:09Speaker 2: a spiritual person. I like to let everybody to decide
- 5:13Speaker 2: what matters to them. And you know, I left Christianity
- 5:18Speaker 2: and I became an atheist because of what had happened
- 5:20Speaker 2: to me by a church that was supposed to protect
- 5:22Speaker 2: me was the same church that was assaulting me and
- 5:25Speaker 2: then judging me for moral cleanliness. That's how twisted and
- 5:28Speaker 2: messed up that was. So I had a hard time
- 5:31Speaker 2: believing in anything, really difficult time. But the crater upstairs
- 5:36Speaker 2: that everybody gets to define, has plans for every single
- 5:40Speaker 2: one of us, and there was a plan for me,
- 5:42Speaker 2: and that plan for me was a reset. That plan
- 5:45Speaker 2: for me was an accidental drowning. I drowned in my
- 5:48Speaker 2: swimming pool. I was given medication I shouldn't have been given.
- 5:51Speaker 2: I had an allergic reaction to that while swimming alone
- 5:55Speaker 2: late at night, and I literally died and I went
- 5:57Speaker 2: to the bottom of my pool and I had a
- 6:00Speaker 2: near death experience there and a miracle, to be honest
- 6:03Speaker 2: with you, that's what turned me around, because when I
- 6:06Speaker 2: came out of that water, my brain wasn't the same.
- 6:09Speaker 2: My brain was different, and suddenly, for the first time
- 6:13Speaker 2: in my life, I could see every altar that I
- 6:16Speaker 2: could never see before. So something happened in the pool.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I don't know if it was the lack of oxygen
- 6:22Speaker 2: that caused my brain to reset, I don't know, but
- 6:25Speaker 2: I came out of that water a different person, and
- 6:28Speaker 2: I didn't have all the skill sets. I had to
- 6:30Speaker 2: learn to walk, I had to learn to talk, I
- 6:31Speaker 2: had to learn to play the piano. I had to
- 6:33Speaker 2: learn all those skills over again because my body didn't work,
- 6:38Speaker 2: didn't like where I was, it didn't like any of that.
- 6:41Speaker 2: So that experience led to a great discovery. And I've
- 6:47Speaker 2: spent the last two and a half years and a
- 6:49Speaker 2: quarter of a million dollars studying something that I discovered
- 6:53Speaker 2: in my end, and it's how to heal our own mind,
- 6:58Speaker 2: doing it naturally. And the two most powerful tools are
- 7:02Speaker 2: unconditional love and gratitude. And I don't mean them as words,
- 7:07Speaker 2: I mean them as experiences. So I've developed a way
- 7:13Speaker 2: that you can actually heal your own mind, yourself using
- 7:20Speaker 2: unconditional love and gratitude. And here's the kicker. It's with strangers.
- 7:28Speaker 2: It's with strangers. Okay, So I've studied neuroscience, and I
- 7:34Speaker 2: started out with no knowledge, didn't even know what neuroscience was.
- 7:38Speaker 2: But I can tell you that it is the wave
- 7:40Speaker 2: of the future, and that mental health protocols are going
- 7:44Speaker 2: to be developed from the work that I have done
- 7:46Speaker 2: and the research that I've done. I've brought on a
- 7:49Speaker 2: full time neuroscientist and we're going to be taking my
- 7:52Speaker 2: protocol and the results that we're getting from people that
- 7:55Speaker 2: have actually experienced this technology, and we're going to have
- 7:59Speaker 2: a study, and then my goal is to be able
- 8:02Speaker 2: to offer it to human beings at the lowest possible cost.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I'd like to be in a position where I can
- 8:09Speaker 2: teach this to people for free. That's the that's the
- 8:12Speaker 2: endgame for those that want to live again, to have
- 8:17Speaker 2: the life that they have, because that's me today with
- 8:20Speaker 2: that protocol. I no longer had D I D I have,
- 8:23Speaker 2: I do not have CPTSD, I'm not ADHD, and I
- 8:26Speaker 2: no longer have bipolar one. I am completely free of
- 8:30Speaker 2: seven pillboxes. I'd been free off of meds for two
- 8:34Speaker 2: and a half years. And I'm the poster child for
- 8:37Speaker 2: a new way of living and it and it's and
- 8:39Speaker 2: it's through love and kindness, and gratitude that you heal
- 8:44Speaker 2: your mind, because that's literally what healed my mind. And
- 8:47Speaker 2: and there's another story. It's a social media experiment. I
- 8:51Speaker 2: wanted to find out what would happen if I got
- 8:54Speaker 2: up every morning and celebrated the sun because I had
- 8:57Speaker 2: taken a photograph of a morning sunraise and I posted
- 9:01Speaker 2: it on next door and had all these neighbors tell
- 9:04Speaker 2: me how thankful they were for number one positive social media.
- 9:07Speaker 2: And the second thing was how grateful they were about
- 9:10Speaker 2: the things in their life. And it made me realize
- 9:14Speaker 2: that I didn't really know gratitude because I would roll
- 9:17Speaker 2: my eyes if you said that word, because my grandmother
- 9:20Speaker 2: and my mother used that to scold me when I
- 9:22Speaker 2: wanted more, and that became a negative word for me.
- 9:25Speaker 2: So you say gratitude at me, I'm going to give
- 9:27Speaker 2: you an eye roll and you're probably going to get
- 9:29Speaker 2: some behavior you're not going to like from me. That
- 9:31Speaker 2: was my relationship with gratitude. So I started a social
- 9:34Speaker 2: media experiment September twentieth of twenty twenty four. Today is
- 9:39Speaker 2: day five hundred and seventy eight. For me, I have
- 9:42Speaker 2: not missed one sunrise in five hundred and seventy eight
- 9:45Speaker 2: days and that includes hospitals days. It's that important to me.
- 9:49Speaker 2: And then I poured myself into this word called gratitude,
- 9:52Speaker 2: and I tried everything else like everybody else did. I
- 9:55Speaker 2: wrote a list that lasted about three days. I gave
- 9:58Speaker 2: up on that unloaded an app. Maybe I'll use that
- 10:01Speaker 2: if an interact with my phone, since I'm always on
- 10:04Speaker 2: my phone. I deleted that at because it was annoying.
- 10:08Speaker 2: And then one day I was studying gratitude trying to
- 10:11Speaker 2: figure out, asking God, you got to teach me this
- 10:13Speaker 2: because I'm not learning it. And then God introduced me
- 10:16Speaker 2: to an angel named Carla. And Carla changed my life
- 10:20Speaker 2: in one day, one day, one day, And it was
- 10:24Speaker 2: an interaction that I had with a stranger that touched
- 10:27Speaker 2: my heart in a way that I did something I'd
- 10:29Speaker 2: never done before, and I got vulnerable with a stranger
- 10:34Speaker 2: in public. And that little teeny exercise was the beginning
- 10:39Speaker 2: of this incredible protocol. Because I started, I got something
- 10:43Speaker 2: that we call it gratitude cocktail, all right. Gratitude cocktail
- 10:47Speaker 2: is a physiological neurobiologic reaction that happens in the body
- 10:54Speaker 2: in a certain situation. And I have since learned exactly
- 11:00Speaker 2: what it does to make the body, make the body
- 11:03Speaker 2: create hormones on demand, and I teach people how to
- 11:07Speaker 2: do it, and it's a combination of hormones, and when
- 11:09Speaker 2: you have a seat of choline, vasapress and oxytocin and
- 11:12Speaker 2: dopamine in your bloodstream and high concentrations, it magically heals
- 11:17Speaker 2: your mind. And that's what I've learned how to do.
- 11:19Speaker 2: And that's why my protocol is going to be studied,
- 11:22Speaker 2: because I've now taught this to many people and the
- 11:24Speaker 2: qualitative results are off the charts, and that's why we're
- 11:28Speaker 2: going to study it professionally and then ultimately offer it
- 11:31Speaker 2: to people as a way to heal and get people
- 11:33Speaker 2: off of the pillboxes that I'm convinced some people do
- 11:37Speaker 2: need meds. I do know that because the bodies just
- 11:41Speaker 2: can't produce it. And if you're one of those people,
- 11:43Speaker 2: then stay on those meds because you need it. But
- 11:46Speaker 2: I will tell you that I had the worst mental
- 11:48Speaker 2: health on the planet, and most of it came from
- 11:51Speaker 2: being over medicated. That was my experience. And when I
- 11:55Speaker 2: got off of those meds and found out how to
- 11:58Speaker 2: heal my soul naturally using love, and kindness and gratitude.
- 12:02Speaker 2: That's all I needed. That's all I needed. And now
- 12:05Speaker 2: I don't have any pillboxes and I do not have
- 12:08Speaker 2: did And I am the poster child of turning around
- 12:12Speaker 2: the ugliest mental health into positive living. Right.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I love that.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I started. I started my company. It's called It's
- 12:20Speaker 2: Pure Love. And the fun thing about that is when
- 12:23Speaker 2: I died in the pool, I met something and we'll
- 12:25Speaker 2: leave it at that, okay. And when I came back,
- 12:29Speaker 2: I realized that I couldn't return to corporate America because
- 12:32Speaker 2: that wasn't my purpose. My purpose was to take what
- 12:35Speaker 2: God had shared with me and grow it and teach
- 12:38Speaker 2: it to others so that they could have the life
- 12:42Speaker 2: that I have, which is an abundant life. I never
- 12:45Speaker 2: have a bad day, no matter what you throw at me.
- 12:48Speaker 2: I have learned how to balance my emotional energy using
- 12:51Speaker 2: a protocol that I teach people. And once you learn
- 12:54Speaker 2: it and you start applying it in your life, you
- 12:57Speaker 2: have a life that is magical.
- 12:59Speaker 3: It is my Yeah.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Every day I wake up and I pinch myself. I'm
- 13:03Speaker 2: grateful to have another day to make a difference in
- 13:06Speaker 2: the world. So that's a story story, that's what I do,
- 13:10Speaker 2: and I started a podcast. You know, I did two
- 13:12Speaker 2: hundred and seventy five live podcast episodes from the park
- 13:16Speaker 2: with Strangers in the Park. It was amazing. It didn't
- 13:20Speaker 2: go into distribution on purpose. I didn't want to. This
- 13:23Speaker 2: was my little experiment. I didn't need to share it
- 13:25Speaker 2: with the world. It was mine. This was healing me,
- 13:28Speaker 2: and every episode I produced a topic on mental health.
- 13:32Speaker 2: There's two hundred and seventy five really awesome episodes out
- 13:35Speaker 2: there on Instagram, and nobody knows how to find them.
- 13:38Speaker 2: So someday I may take those and repost them, have them,
- 13:41Speaker 2: have the audio cleaned up, and all the things that
- 13:44Speaker 2: you need to do. But that podcast and that social
- 13:47Speaker 2: media experiment changed my life.
- 13:50Speaker 3: That's a beautiful thing, though, And you know what, your
- 13:52Speaker 3: story is so much like mine, Bless your heart, because I.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Couldn't walk and almost had emergency golb treated, almost.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Almost left this earth.
- 14:04Speaker 4: And it was like a couple of days before Kobe
- 14:07Speaker 4: Kobe Bryant died the.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Same week.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Surgery, and I was recuperating from surgery, and I found
- 14:16Speaker 4: out maybe a day or two late that he had
- 14:18Speaker 4: passed away. And I was in a hospital matter of
- 14:21Speaker 4: fact goes home right. And I kept saying to myself
- 14:27Speaker 4: that could have been reversed.
- 14:30Speaker 3: And some people.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Wonder why when it come to Kobe while his death
- 14:36Speaker 4: was so traumatizing to me because it could have switched.
- 14:42Speaker 4: And I remember I was in the hospital and I
- 14:44Speaker 4: was sick, and somebody died right beside me at the hospital,
- 14:49Speaker 4: and I said, that could have been me. My father
- 14:53Speaker 4: passed away February twelfth of this year, walked outside he
- 14:59Speaker 4: was earlier that day, went outside, passed out, he died.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Wow.
- 15:06Speaker 4: And I tell people that type of death is so
- 15:09Speaker 4: different than a shooting.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Somebody falls asleep and then they don't wake up the
- 15:16Speaker 3: next day.
- 15:18Speaker 4: First and going into the doctor's office and they're being
- 15:20Speaker 4: told you only got six weeks to live. And when
- 15:24Speaker 4: you talked about that experience, I remember I was throwing
- 15:29Speaker 4: up for like six months straight at night, having this
- 15:33Speaker 4: really bad pain in my stomach, and I couldn't explain
- 15:35Speaker 4: why I was hurting. They never thought to check my
- 15:37Speaker 4: gall black, never try to check it to find out
- 15:40Speaker 4: if it was infected. Going to the doctor looking for answers,
- 15:44Speaker 4: and they're telling me you can't find anything, because pain
- 15:48Speaker 4: is not something you can see, and.
- 15:53Speaker 3: I got tired of when it happened. When I couldn't walk,
- 15:57Speaker 3: they said, well, you sure it's.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Not in your mind, and I'm like, excuse you, how
- 16:04Speaker 4: you gonna tell me how I feel in that it's
- 16:06Speaker 4: in my mind now. Don't get me wrong. There are
- 16:08Speaker 4: people that are very much victims where they use pain
- 16:17Speaker 4: as a way to victimize, or a lot of people
- 16:22Speaker 4: go from being victims to abusers.
- 16:25Speaker 3: And you know, I was.
- 16:29Speaker 4: I was assaulted also when I was sixteen and when
- 16:33Speaker 4: I was seventeen, and I know how it feels to
- 16:40Speaker 4: be violated. And then I lost the ex when I
- 16:43Speaker 4: was sixteen years old going on seventeen, and you know,
- 16:49Speaker 4: it was just one of those things where when I
- 16:51Speaker 4: was sitting in the hospital and I couldn't walk, and
- 16:54Speaker 4: they sent me home and I still couldn't walk, and
- 16:58Speaker 4: I went to unc hospit middle.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Ten hours later.
- 17:02Speaker 4: They told me they said, you're not getting proper circulation
- 17:05Speaker 4: through your body for some reason, and it's like we
- 17:09Speaker 4: don't want you to work right now, which is how
- 17:11Speaker 4: I ended up gaining weight. It was like we don't
- 17:12Speaker 4: want you working out right now. And then I remember
- 17:16Speaker 4: in twenty eighteen, twenty seventeen, I got really really sick,
- 17:19Speaker 4: gave me wrong medicine, like yourself almost died. Yeah, And
- 17:23Speaker 4: I remember I was so scared and I said, Lord,
- 17:28Speaker 4: I'm not ready.
- 17:29Speaker 3: I'm not ready to go. I still got I'm more
- 17:31Speaker 3: to do. I got a child that loved.
- 17:33Speaker 4: Me, I got so many things, so many things I
- 17:35Speaker 4: haven't done in my life. And God was like, just
- 17:37Speaker 4: go to sleep those links. And I went to sleep,
- 17:42Speaker 4: and it was like I could see angels fighting over me,
- 17:47Speaker 4: like something was trying to pull my spirit, but the
- 17:52Speaker 4: angels were fighting for me to keep my spirit. And
- 17:54Speaker 4: I woke up and that was like a life changing experience.
- 18:01Speaker 3: And it was like.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Now that I look back and the same thing, we're
- 18:08Speaker 4: go and celebrate the same thing with.
- 18:11Speaker 3: I tell people I felt like the story of Job.
- 18:13Speaker 4: And recently, like six months ago, I got down on
- 18:16Speaker 4: my knees like the story of Job, and I said, Lord,
- 18:19Speaker 4: I felt like the story of Job. I feel like
- 18:21Speaker 4: everything is being stripped of me. I feel like everything
- 18:25Speaker 4: that could possibly go wrong. And I'm sorry, but everything
- 18:28Speaker 4: that could possibly go wrong, what's.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Going wrong in my life?
- 18:33Speaker 3: I said, I was always this person that, Lord, I
- 18:35Speaker 3: try to do what's right. I try to do right
- 18:38Speaker 3: by people. I try to help people in the way.
- 18:40Speaker 4: You wou want me to God said, is that the
- 18:43Speaker 4: way that I want you to do? I want to do.
- 18:47Speaker 4: I want you to help people, and you're destroying yourself.
- 18:51Speaker 4: Do I want you to help people and you're luring
- 18:54Speaker 4: yourself to be abused, to be hurt. How do you
- 18:59Speaker 4: know that these are people that I'm sending you.
- 19:01Speaker 3: The people you chose?
- 19:03Speaker 4: Or was it that because you were alone you just
- 19:08Speaker 4: wanted someone.
- 19:09Speaker 3: To love you but it wasn't reciprocated.
- 19:12Speaker 4: And then when I started reading the Bible and started
- 19:15Speaker 4: getting into my scriptures, it was one where I was
- 19:19Speaker 4: thinking about Jesus and I asked, I'm won day. I
- 19:23Speaker 4: was just sitting there and I said to myself, we
- 19:26Speaker 4: praised Jesus every day. Jesus died for our sins, and
- 19:30Speaker 4: yet we continue to sin, We continue to do everything
- 19:34Speaker 4: that goes against him, which I think is part of
- 19:36Speaker 4: the reason he has not returned. And then I looked
- 19:38Speaker 4: at saw Him and Gomore and I started really listening
- 19:42Speaker 4: to people breakdown and dissect the Bible, and I was like,
- 19:49Speaker 4: wait a minute, what what in the world? So instead
- 19:55Speaker 4: of me reading just scriptures. I started reading the chapters
- 19:59Speaker 4: then started to make sense, and I'm like, well, maam man,
- 20:01Speaker 4: this isn't about scriptures, It's about the story itself. So
- 20:07Speaker 4: I started reading a lot of you know, paying attention
- 20:09Speaker 4: to a lot of the stories, and I remember looking
- 20:14Speaker 4: at Moses and Moses left to get the tasty moments,
- 20:19Speaker 4: and I.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Noticed a pattern.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I said, every person in the Bible was alone for
- 20:24Speaker 4: a period of time, Right, they were all alone, just
- 20:28Speaker 4: them and God, nobody else.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:30Speaker 4: And when you said strangers, it hit me and I
- 20:32Speaker 4: just started crying.
- 20:34Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I said, it isn't about your family being with
- 20:40Speaker 4: you on your journeys. It isn't about your loved ones
- 20:42Speaker 4: or your children being on your journeys, because they may
- 20:46Speaker 4: be your greatest enemies.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I said, isn't that so true right in your
- 20:51Speaker 2: own family that you that you sometimes you know, you
- 20:54Speaker 2: allow people to do things because their blood. You know,
- 20:59Speaker 2: your families. So I'm not going to set that boundary
- 21:02Speaker 2: that I should have set because you're family, you know. Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 2: And you see that so often, especially in families where
- 21:09Speaker 2: there's abuse in the family. It's almost like because your
- 21:13Speaker 2: blood related, I can't do anything about it, because why
- 21:16Speaker 2: because you're my dad, Why because you're my mother, you know,
- 21:21Speaker 2: and I and at least in my situation, you know,
- 21:24Speaker 2: like the strangest thing for me was I was being
- 21:26Speaker 2: abused by ugly people, but yet I lived in a
- 21:30Speaker 2: very loving, kind home with like literally storybook parents. So
- 21:34Speaker 2: I had this massive dichotomy and shift that I would
- 21:38Speaker 2: have to do, which is actually where the disorder came from,
- 21:41Speaker 2: having to having to you know, be assaulted and then
- 21:46Speaker 2: go to school the next day or go to church
- 21:48Speaker 2: and act as if nothing happened. I became the best
- 21:51Speaker 2: actor in the business. And that's literally what did starts
- 21:55Speaker 2: out at is acting, and then the acting turns into
- 22:00Speaker 2: a personality, and then the personality takes over. You know.
- 22:04Speaker 2: That's literally where D I D comes from. And that's
- 22:07Speaker 2: what happened to me as a child. So I I
- 22:11Speaker 2: you know, when you say that and you talk about
- 22:13Speaker 2: the pain that comes inside of families, like what I'm
- 22:16Speaker 2: feeling is I can relate to that only in that like,
- 22:21Speaker 2: because there's certainly been things in my own family. So
- 22:24Speaker 2: you know, you had shared something around autism, and that's
- 22:29Speaker 2: a recent thing for us and our family. We've had
- 22:32Speaker 2: some leaden life diagnosis of autism and a son in law,
- 22:37Speaker 2: and it explains so much about the behavior of this
- 22:42Speaker 2: this man that I currently have as a son in
- 22:45Speaker 2: law but will probably not likely be my son in
- 22:47Speaker 2: law in the future. And and and then but also
- 22:50Speaker 2: looking at my grandson who I have, I have three
- 22:55Speaker 2: in that family, and and one for sure, we're fairly,
- 22:59Speaker 2: fairly sure he's also autistic. And so the beautiful thing
- 23:04Speaker 2: is now that we understand that, it helps us understand
- 23:08Speaker 2: his behavior better because prior to the diagnosis of autism,
- 23:13Speaker 2: I feel like I saw a young man that just
- 23:16Speaker 2: hadn't been parented correctly. And the reality is that he
- 23:20Speaker 2: did get parented correctly, but his little brain doesn't run
- 23:23Speaker 2: like everybody else's and and he doesn't, you know, he
- 23:28Speaker 2: doesn't have the same ability to regulate his emotions that
- 23:33Speaker 2: some of us do. And yes, he's gonna always be autistic,
- 23:38Speaker 2: but yes, it's my responsibility as a grandfather to teach
- 23:42Speaker 2: him the coping skills to help him regulate that nervous
- 23:45Speaker 2: system which is naturally unregulated. And it's like, so it's
- 23:50Speaker 2: kind of interesting when I got your email and you mentioned,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you know, autism and I'm like, well, that's timely because
- 23:56Speaker 2: I give in my family. You know, I don't. I
- 23:59Speaker 2: don't considered myself autistic, but I do have it, you know,
- 24:03Speaker 2: in my family now, and you know, it makes me
- 24:07Speaker 2: again realize how important the emotional regulation skills are. Unless
- 24:14Speaker 2: you have a parent that teaches you emotional regulation and
- 24:18Speaker 2: teaches you how to stand back up when you get
- 24:20Speaker 2: knocked down, you learned that, no and uns unless somebody
- 24:25Speaker 2: takes that interest in you and says, hey, you fell
- 24:28Speaker 2: off your bicycle and you bloodied your knees, but that's
- 24:31Speaker 2: because you weren't balancing correctly. Right, you want to jump
- 24:34Speaker 2: off that ramp, you got to lift up on the
- 24:36Speaker 2: bars when you jump so you don't end go and crash. Well,
- 24:39Speaker 2: that's exactly what happened to me. That's a true story
- 24:41Speaker 2: from when I was a little boy and I crashed,
- 24:44Speaker 2: and I wrote the story that I sucked at bicycles,
- 24:47Speaker 2: and so I took that bicycle and I parked it
- 24:49Speaker 2: on the side of my house and I verrely, very
- 24:52Speaker 2: rarely would I ride it because I wrote the story
- 24:54Speaker 2: as a young boy that I couldn't balance things on
- 24:57Speaker 2: two wheels and I was going to fall and hurt myself.
- 24:59Speaker 2: So how many things in my life that were on
- 25:01Speaker 2: two wheels that I could have enjoyed and got the
- 25:04Speaker 2: fullness of my life that I never got to see
- 25:06Speaker 2: because of that selfoning belief that I formed when I
- 25:09Speaker 2: was six years old and I did not have a
- 25:11Speaker 2: brain that was capable of understanding long term decision making.
- 25:15Speaker 2: And there was an adult there at that moment to go, hey,
- 25:18Speaker 2: dust yourself off and get better. What happened was a
- 25:21Speaker 2: bunch of boys standing around there started laughing at me.
- 25:25Speaker 2: So what did I do? I felt humiliated. I wrote
- 25:27Speaker 2: the wrong story, and then it became self and belief
- 25:30Speaker 2: that I embellished. My brain does that. That's the amygdalah,
- 25:33Speaker 2: and that's subconscious creating the safety to keep you safe. Yeah,
- 25:38Speaker 2: what I've learned, the very thing that is what keeps
- 25:41Speaker 2: us safe is the very same system that keeps you trapped. Right,
- 25:45Speaker 2: we have sixty eight thousand thoughts a day, sixty thousand,
- 25:50Speaker 2: Only ninety five percent of those are done in the subconscious,
- 25:54Speaker 2: which means that your body is making decisions for you
- 25:57Speaker 2: all day long, letting you see certain things and not
- 25:59Speaker 2: other things, and you don't even know what's in there.
- 26:03Speaker 2: And that's what I found when I got into my shadow.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I had no idea. I had so many self and
- 26:09Speaker 2: and beliefs and limitations. And so the way that I
- 26:13Speaker 2: work is I developed. My near death experience taught me
- 26:17Speaker 2: something called the equation of life, an abundant happiness that
- 26:20Speaker 2: came from my near death experience. And it's not mine,
- 26:23Speaker 2: it belongs to the Creator. I'm just sharing what I know.
- 26:27Speaker 2: And it goes like this. When I died that night,
- 26:30Speaker 2: and I ended up getting out of the pool miraculously
- 26:33Speaker 2: and I lived. I laid on the side of that
- 26:35Speaker 2: pool for about two hours. I wasn't able to move,
- 26:38Speaker 2: my body wasn't functioning. I was alone, and I spent
- 26:41Speaker 2: two hours staring into the cosmos. It was a perfectly
- 26:44Speaker 2: clear night, sun was full or the moon was full,
- 26:48Speaker 2: and I could see some of the stars. I live
- 26:50Speaker 2: in the city, so it's not like magical like it
- 26:52Speaker 2: is when you're out in the dark. But yeah, I
- 26:54Speaker 2: became obsessed laying there with how does God keep this
- 26:59Speaker 2: balanced everything? It's perfectly balanced. That moon is over there
- 27:03Speaker 2: and it goes around this thing perfectly every day. How
- 27:07Speaker 2: does this happen? And so I literally had this experience
- 27:11Speaker 2: where God showed me and it was basically this. When
- 27:14Speaker 2: it sounds crazy, but this is the truth because I'm
- 27:18Speaker 2: laying there looking at the world and understanding that this
- 27:21Speaker 2: is physical matter. That's physical matter, and it's sitting in
- 27:26Speaker 2: perfect balance. Okay, So what else is physical matter? Human emotion? Yes,
- 27:35Speaker 2: human emotion is made up of atoms, the same atoms
- 27:38Speaker 2: that make up that planet that is sustained in perfect balance.
- 27:42Speaker 2: So I became obsessed with this idea that you could
- 27:47Speaker 2: apply mathematical and scientific principles to human emotion because it's
- 27:52Speaker 2: also physical matter and therefore it has to follow the
- 27:55Speaker 2: same scientific properties. So I learned that the four operators
- 28:01Speaker 2: in math, which we all learned in grade school, actually
- 28:05Speaker 2: the symbols we need to use to solve any problem
- 28:09Speaker 2: that we have in life. Literally, yeah, it's out simple. Yeah,
- 28:13Speaker 2: So it goes like this. You, I'm going to show
- 28:16Speaker 2: you that you already know it. What's the first thing
- 28:19Speaker 2: you remember from grade school? The first mathematical express and
- 28:22Speaker 2: you learned was what do you remember addition? Addition? Exactly?
- 28:27Speaker 2: An addition is about adding those things in life that
- 28:30Speaker 2: brings forth goodness and joy. That's addition. What did you
- 28:33Speaker 2: learn next? Attraction exactly, and subtraction is about letting go
- 28:38Speaker 2: of those things that don't serve us, that don't help us,
- 28:41Speaker 2: that ultimately hold us down, and let them go so
- 28:44Speaker 2: we have a responsibility. Most people think of balance like this.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Mm hm, that's incorrect. This, yeah, is perfect balance, constantly
- 28:54Speaker 2: in motion, capable, capable of balancing my emotional energy in
- 29:00Speaker 2: the here and now every second of the day. Because
- 29:02Speaker 2: if I can manage the here and now, I can
- 29:05Speaker 2: manage a minute, and then an hour, and then a day,
- 29:08Speaker 2: and then a week and a month and a year later,
- 29:10Speaker 2: I can look back and see that I have maintained
- 29:12Speaker 2: focus and balance from that one second, and I go.
- 29:16Speaker 2: So you're right, Addition and subtraction, that's what's balancing. So
- 29:20Speaker 2: then you take action and attention, and you let the
- 29:24Speaker 2: creator know what you're trying to accomplish, and you engage
- 29:27Speaker 2: your family and friends and whatever it is that you
- 29:29Speaker 2: need to do to achieve that objective. That is multiplication.
- 29:33Speaker 2: God is the multiplier. The multiplier is God. Okay, So
- 29:38Speaker 2: now I took that hundred bucks and I became a
- 29:41Speaker 2: co creator with God and then made AE thousand dollars
- 29:45Speaker 2: all Right after that thousand dollars gets bigger, there's another
- 29:49Speaker 2: rule that gets applied, and that's division that after multiplication,
- 29:53Speaker 2: and division is about taking that greater abundance and sharing
- 29:58Speaker 2: it with the world of which it came from. Now
- 30:02Speaker 2: there's something important that we're not doing, and it goes
- 30:05Speaker 2: back to this word abundance and specifically something that God
- 30:09Speaker 2: taught me called heartfelt abundance. Here's the print. So out
- 30:14Speaker 2: of that thousand, I need six hundred dollars to pay
- 30:17Speaker 2: my rent this week. That's what I need. God also
- 30:21Speaker 2: knows that human beings need a sense of safety because
- 30:24Speaker 2: life has ebbs and flows. So God says, look, I
- 30:27Speaker 2: know you need the six hundred, what else do you
- 30:29Speaker 2: need for a rainy day? And say that how much
- 30:32Speaker 2: of this do you need? Of this thousand, Well, my heart,
- 30:35Speaker 2: my heart felt abundance says that it's actually another one
- 30:39Speaker 2: hundred and fifty. So if it's okay with you, got
- 30:42Speaker 2: I'm going to take the seven fifty. I'm the six
- 30:44Speaker 2: hundred for the rent, the one fifties going into my savings,
- 30:47Speaker 2: and that means that I've got two hundred and fifty
- 30:50Speaker 2: dollars of excess abundance. And love that was created by you,
- 30:53Speaker 2: the world around me and me, and the right thing
- 30:56Speaker 2: to do is to give it back. That's what we're
- 31:00Speaker 2: supposed to do when we.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Have more than we need.
- 31:03Speaker 2: That is excess abundance, and the system was originally designed
- 31:07Speaker 2: to put it back in, put it back into the
- 31:10Speaker 2: lives of the people that helped create it. Make a donation. Hey,
- 31:14Speaker 2: I've got an extra fifty bucks this week I don't need,
- 31:16Speaker 2: but my sister's struggling financially. I'm going to give her
- 31:19Speaker 2: that fifty bucks and make her day. And that that
- 31:22Speaker 2: a one hundred dollars that I don't need because I
- 31:24Speaker 2: know that God will provide what I need when I
- 31:26Speaker 2: need it every day. So I'm going to take that
- 31:28Speaker 2: hundred bucks and a donate to the Homo shelter down
- 31:30Speaker 2: the street and feed a couple people. All right, that's
- 31:33Speaker 2: what we wus to do. So add, subtract, multiply, divide,
- 31:38Speaker 2: and if I do all of those things perfectly, I
- 31:41Speaker 2: hit the equal sign. And the equal sign is gratitude,
- 31:46Speaker 2: and it's the secret sauce that makes everything perpetuate. Gratitude
- 31:51Speaker 2: is the spark and fuel for love, and I live it.
- 31:55Speaker 2: I have a motto I teach in the course that
- 31:57Speaker 2: I teach people called dare to be second. And I
- 32:00Speaker 2: use the word dare because it takes courage to live
- 32:03Speaker 2: in gratitude. Truth. It's court, it's knowing that I'm not
- 32:08Speaker 2: always going to be first, that sometimes I'm good being
- 32:11Speaker 2: second so somebody else can be first. That's a framework,
- 32:15Speaker 2: it's a way of living, so it does take courage.
- 32:18Speaker 2: The number two is a reflection of the fact that
- 32:20Speaker 2: gratitude is bi directional. It is about giving and it
- 32:24Speaker 2: is about receiving, and more importantly, it's amongst strangers. The
- 32:28Speaker 2: most powerful gratitude in the world is unconditional love with strangers.
- 32:34Speaker 2: And that's actually how I teach. And in my course,
- 32:38Speaker 2: you are going to go into the world and you
- 32:40Speaker 2: are going to meet strangers and you're going to have
- 32:42Speaker 2: the most amazing conversation you've ever had, and you're going
- 32:46Speaker 2: to be taught how to get a gratitude cocktail. And
- 32:49Speaker 2: once you learn how to get a gratitude cocktail, you're
- 32:51Speaker 2: gonna find that that is the most addictive substance on
- 32:55Speaker 2: the planet. Okay, I've done a lot of drugs in
- 32:58Speaker 2: my prior years. When I was making bad choices, and
- 33:01Speaker 2: I will tell you that nothing compares to the love
- 33:04Speaker 2: that comes from up there. When you exercise unconditional love
- 33:08Speaker 2: with strangers in a very specific way, you're gonna get
- 33:12Speaker 2: touched by that light up above. And once you get
- 33:15Speaker 2: touched one time, that's all you need, because from that
- 33:18Speaker 2: be forward, you're going to be in an addict towards
- 33:21Speaker 2: what I call experiential gratitude, and you'll meet the most
- 33:26Speaker 2: amazing people alone the way, and eventually that mere practice
- 33:31Speaker 2: alone will actually convert your brain into a new neural
- 33:35Speaker 2: network that's based upon positive So I've figured out how
- 33:40Speaker 2: to rewrite our own brains naturally using love, kindness, and gratitude.
- 33:44Speaker 2: And it happens real fast most people. My course runs
- 33:48Speaker 2: five days, and after the end of the five days,
- 33:51Speaker 2: you are a new person, and you show up in
- 33:53Speaker 2: the world full of love and kindness and gratitude, and
- 33:56Speaker 2: you let go of every shadow that you once had.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Because I use I teach experientially because we learn best
- 34:04Speaker 2: when we experience. That's how most human beings are, and
- 34:06Speaker 2: we actually retain ninety percent when we experience it versus
- 34:11Speaker 2: if we read something. So yeah, imagine going into the
- 34:15Speaker 2: world with exercises. There's one hundred and one exercises in
- 34:19Speaker 2: my deck of cards, and when you start with me,
- 34:22Speaker 2: I start you out on simple exercises that anyone can do.
- 34:26Speaker 2: So I'll give you an example. The first one I
- 34:28Speaker 2: usually played at people's called Smile Marathon. And the only
- 34:31Speaker 2: thing I'm going to ask you to do in this
- 34:33Speaker 2: exercise is go to the mall, go to a busy hospital,
- 34:36Speaker 2: a place where lots of people are walking by, find
- 34:39Speaker 2: yourself a good seat, and for the next thirty minutes,
- 34:42Speaker 2: you are going to do nothing but look at people,
- 34:45Speaker 2: smile at them, and make eye contact. That's it for
- 34:50Speaker 2: thirty minutes, and you're going to learn a lot about yourself.
- 34:53Speaker 2: You're going to learn about what your feelings were like
- 34:55Speaker 2: before you begin smiling at people. And then you're going
- 34:58Speaker 2: to check in at the end of that thirty minute
- 35:00Speaker 2: and realized that thirty minutes of smiling actually lifted your
- 35:03Speaker 2: spirits and made you feel better. Then you're also going
- 35:06Speaker 2: to learn that there's many people in the world that
- 35:09Speaker 2: are not happy today, and it's sad and that came
- 35:12Speaker 2: from COVID and we've never reconnected as human beings because
- 35:16Speaker 2: now if we make eye contact with people, the first
- 35:18Speaker 2: thing they say is are you going to hurt me?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Are you on the other side? Are you a democrat
- 35:23Speaker 2: or you're a Republican? Like that's what we're saying to
- 35:25Speaker 2: each other instead of Hey, you got a great smile,
- 35:29Speaker 2: and thank you so much for smiling back at me
- 35:31Speaker 2: and sharing that joy that still exists in the world.
- 35:34Speaker 2: So you're going to see human behavior in a different way.
- 35:37Speaker 2: When you're just working, people come by and smile at you,
- 35:40Speaker 2: Some will smile back, some will look at you and
- 35:43Speaker 2: look away. But it teaches you a lot about you,
- 35:46Speaker 2: and it teaches you a lot about human behavior and
- 35:48Speaker 2: the importance of putting love into the micro movements of
- 35:52Speaker 2: our world. We can all live this way if we
- 35:55Speaker 2: choose to. And thus my motto dare to be second
- 35:59Speaker 2: right B is because gratitude is a state of B.
- 36:03Speaker 2: And then the word second test dual meaning in my motto.
- 36:06Speaker 2: One of them is the reference to the precious here
- 36:09Speaker 2: and now, which is where I live. I start with
- 36:12Speaker 2: awareness training, and I train with this bracelet. You're looking
- 36:15Speaker 2: at it, so that's cue yeap. I put this bracelet
- 36:18Speaker 2: on you, and then I teach you a cognitive pattern
- 36:21Speaker 2: interrupt sequence. And when I put this on you, this
- 36:24Speaker 2: bracelet will train you to be aware in about twenty
- 36:27Speaker 2: four to forty eight hours. It'll change how you show up.
- 36:30Speaker 2: From a bracelet and a simple cognitive powdern interrupt and
- 36:33Speaker 2: a Habian sequence, I can literally retrain your brain to
- 36:36Speaker 2: be aware using this. Then I take the same bracelet
- 36:40Speaker 2: and I teach you what's called balance thought, because when
- 36:43Speaker 2: I reset your brain with kindness and love and gratitude,
- 36:46Speaker 2: which is going to reset your brain, you're going to
- 36:49Speaker 2: have a new neural network that is positive and it
- 36:51Speaker 2: will start showing you instead of the crappy things in
- 36:55Speaker 2: your life. Your brain is now your best friend, and
- 36:57Speaker 2: it's pointing out what we call glimmers, which is evidence
- 37:01Speaker 2: of your greatness. It's evidence of this new life that
- 37:04Speaker 2: you have. And we learn to use glimmers to help
- 37:08Speaker 2: us navigate where we are in life and on the
- 37:11Speaker 2: wave of creation, which is a whole nother subject. But
- 37:14Speaker 2: the reality is, you know, anybody can heal, and you
- 37:18Speaker 2: can heal with kindness, unconditional love and gratitude with strangers.
- 37:24Speaker 2: That's how you do it. That is the secret sauce.
- 37:26Speaker 2: And there's a very specific thing that I teach so
- 37:30Speaker 2: that you learn how to get the hormones in the
- 37:33Speaker 2: right order. So it's funny how it works. I can
- 37:36Speaker 2: teach every human being how to create vasive pressing in
- 37:39Speaker 2: their own blood system.
- 37:41Speaker 3: And that's important. That's very important because.
- 37:45Speaker 4: You know when you hit like somebody said, there's me
- 37:50Speaker 4: and somebody had a conversation recently just last week, well yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 4: last week we talked about the subconsciousness and a conscious
- 37:58Speaker 4: mind and about dopamine.
- 38:01Speaker 3: And the one thing that.
- 38:03Speaker 4: I learned is that I told a friend of mine
- 38:09Speaker 4: every sense, everything that happened, I said, I'm sticking just
- 38:14Speaker 4: takes me back to spiritual where God pulled me from
- 38:19Speaker 4: the world because I was being that seat filler. I
- 38:23Speaker 4: was being that person that was building seeing that Captain
- 38:27Speaker 4: saber home. I'm trying to save people. I'm trying to
- 38:30Speaker 4: make sure everybody else is good. I suffered from post
- 38:34Speaker 4: traumatic slave disorder.
- 38:35Speaker 3: People was like, what the world is that? I said.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Slave disorder is when you were the invisible child, and
- 38:44Speaker 4: you were the child that was always the reliable one.
- 38:48Speaker 4: You were the one that no matter what you did,
- 38:51Speaker 4: it was expected. You were the one that you couldn't
- 38:56Speaker 4: make bad grades.
- 38:58Speaker 3: You couldn't you? Could you always want trying you?
- 39:03Speaker 2: That was Yeah, So you you lived the life of
- 39:09Speaker 2: creating stability in your family and you became a perfectionist
- 39:16Speaker 2: along the way. Yeah, perfectionism ultimately turns out to backfire
- 39:22Speaker 2: on you because deep down you're harboring your own feelings
- 39:26Speaker 2: and things, but you're never truly seen and you never
- 39:31Speaker 2: get to fail because you're perfect. I know exactly what
- 39:35Speaker 2: you're talking about. That's the exact story of my oldest daughter,
- 39:39Speaker 2: oldest daughter, the same exact thing she was. You know,
- 39:42Speaker 2: when I was struggling with my mental health, you know,
- 39:44Speaker 2: thankfully you know I was never physically abusive at all,
- 39:48Speaker 2: and even verbally abusive, not not so much. But but
- 39:51Speaker 2: you were watching on eggshells with me because I had
- 39:53Speaker 2: a really horrible temper, explosive temper again anger and rage
- 39:58Speaker 2: from being abused as a child. I never or got
- 40:00Speaker 2: it out, never resolved it. And if you looked at
- 40:03Speaker 2: me the wrong way and I didn't know you, then
- 40:05Speaker 2: I would crucify you like That's how I showed up.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I was a complete Karen, just an asshole. I hate
- 40:11Speaker 2: to say that word, but that's the truth. So changing
- 40:15Speaker 2: that you know I like the newest version of me
- 40:18Speaker 2: my life. Yes, today I don't have any enemies. I
- 40:21Speaker 2: love everybody, including my enemies. And I've learned that gratitude
- 40:26Speaker 2: is an amazing thing of literally healing every situation because
- 40:30Speaker 2: it creates instant respect. Yeah, like, think about think about
- 40:35Speaker 2: how that works. How gratitude creates respect when you think
- 40:39Speaker 2: somebody authentically, you know. I teach anger management as part
- 40:44Speaker 2: of my curriculum because, especially men, we struggle with anger.
- 40:48Speaker 2: And the key with anger is just to understand that
- 40:52Speaker 2: it's just a signal from the body. It's just that.
- 40:55Speaker 2: And most people, when we get the feeling of anger
- 40:58Speaker 2: the amigdal of fire, and then we rage from the
- 41:01Speaker 2: old story, because that's what we always do. We get big,
- 41:03Speaker 2: we get loud, we yell, and everybody runs. That's what
- 41:06Speaker 2: we do. But what if I could take that physiological
- 41:09Speaker 2: response to the body and change it real time in
- 41:13Speaker 2: an exercise. So I deliberately make you angry on purpose,
- 41:16Speaker 2: and then I deliver love in kindness, which your brain
- 41:19Speaker 2: does not does not predict. So we love and kindness
- 41:23Speaker 2: from me. When you're expecting to get a mouthful of crap,
- 41:26Speaker 2: your brain goes way in a minute, I think I
- 41:28Speaker 2: may have done the wrong response because they track with
- 41:31Speaker 2: kindness in the situation, and maybe that's the right way
- 41:34Speaker 2: to go. So that's exactly what happens in an exercise.
- 41:38Speaker 2: You just updated an old memory and an old tape
- 41:40Speaker 2: real time in what's called memory reconsolidation. There's a very
- 41:44Speaker 2: specific window in our own minds when the brain is malleable.
- 41:48Speaker 2: So what I've learned how to do in these exercises
- 41:51Speaker 2: bring it to the point where the brain is malleable
- 41:53Speaker 2: and the brain predicts something that's going to be average
- 41:56Speaker 2: or failure. But then what you get in every exercise
- 41:59Speaker 2: is and kindness and recognition. So I'm literally rewriting live
- 42:05Speaker 2: through experiences and training your nervous system to a different response.
- 42:11Speaker 2: And that's what makes it sticks because ninety percent of
- 42:15Speaker 2: what I teach you experience it. You don't read it, yea.
- 42:18Speaker 2: And when you experience it, you embody it. It becomes you.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And that's why you know I teach it experientially. A
- 42:25Speaker 2: lot of people have said, then you need to write
- 42:27Speaker 2: a book. Everybody would read that book, But I don't
- 42:30Speaker 2: read a book because that's ten percent retention. I'd rather
- 42:33Speaker 2: you experience my course and experience the fullness of life
- 42:38Speaker 2: than read a book and only get ten percent. So
- 42:40Speaker 2: that's why.
- 42:41Speaker 4: Unless you decide to, like, for example, give it to
- 42:45Speaker 4: your clients because they're actually going through it. And you
- 42:48Speaker 4: know what, when you said that, I would think about
- 42:51Speaker 4: that as far as coaching, and I said, you know what,
- 42:54Speaker 4: a lot of people that I've seen that do coaching
- 42:58Speaker 4: don't have teaching a teaching degree. It's more so about
- 43:02Speaker 4: selling a product. Why not let it sell itself? Because
- 43:07Speaker 4: my whole thing for me was, you know, with my
- 43:12Speaker 4: healing and recovery, it was about relinquishing, like you said,
- 43:16Speaker 4: adding its attraction, multiplying and dividing, and you know, but
- 43:23Speaker 4: the one thing also was there's one hundred and twenty
- 43:27Speaker 4: negative and positive emotions, and then also there's ten levels.
- 43:31Speaker 4: So I told people, you know, we as human beings,
- 43:35Speaker 4: we're supposed to elevate, grow, evolve, we're supposed to mature,
- 43:39Speaker 4: We're supposed to research. And I said, we don't apply
- 43:43Speaker 4: research in real life.
- 43:44Speaker 3: So for example, when.
- 43:48Speaker 4: I found out my son was autistic, and I said
- 43:50Speaker 4: to myself, I'm not going to tell him that he's autistic.
- 43:53Speaker 4: And they was like, why, I said, because once he
- 43:56Speaker 4: hears it, it's the label. And I said, one day
- 44:01Speaker 4: I said, I don't need I said.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Somebody asked me what am I. I said, I'm a
- 44:08Speaker 3: human being? They said, but it was like, what do
- 44:12Speaker 3: you mean?
- 44:13Speaker 4: I said, I don't do labels. And it was like,
- 44:15Speaker 4: what do you mean? Some things I don't have to say.
- 44:20Speaker 4: You can see it. You don't have to I mean, yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 4: And so I said, once you and this, and this
- 44:28Speaker 4: is where the negativity comes in at you know, when
- 44:31Speaker 4: you have somebody calling you ugly, I said, define what
- 44:34Speaker 4: ugly is?
- 44:35Speaker 3: Define define the definition of what it means. You don't
- 44:39Speaker 3: know me. So how would you think that I'm ugly?
- 44:41Speaker 4: When you have people running around and alive and people,
- 44:43Speaker 4: wouldn't that make them ugly too?
- 44:45Speaker 3: When someone is assaulting somebody, wouldn't.
- 44:47Speaker 4: That be ugly because that would be negative, right, I said, So,
- 44:53Speaker 4: you know, I learned that. The one thing that I
- 44:57Speaker 4: learned dopamine. And that's one of the things that the nervousness,
- 45:00Speaker 4: if it's so important with it's the communication between the mind.
- 45:03Speaker 2: And the body.
- 45:04Speaker 4: And when it came to my body shutting down, I
- 45:10Speaker 4: was like, one day I've got in a car and
- 45:14Speaker 4: I said, we gotta get here, we gotta get we
- 45:18Speaker 4: gotta get here, and my throat will get really dry.
- 45:21Speaker 3: When I get in a car.
- 45:22Speaker 4: My mom was like, why do you keep watering the car?
- 45:24Speaker 4: I said, because my throat swells for some reason when
- 45:27Speaker 4: I'm driving. And I said, we have to get here,
- 45:30Speaker 4: because we don't. We're not We're not going to get there.
- 45:33Speaker 4: And I said it out loud. And I talked to
- 45:37Speaker 4: myself a lot, and people was like, well, why do
- 45:39Speaker 4: you talk to yourself. I said, I'm not talking to myself,
- 45:42Speaker 4: I'm talking to my body. Yes, because my mind can
- 45:47Speaker 4: sit there all day and think something.
- 45:51Speaker 3: My brain is not gonna move until I say it.
- 45:53Speaker 3: And if my.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Brain so, so you know what you are, right, Yeah,
- 45:58Speaker 2: we're meta cognitive, which it's the highest form of intelligence,
- 46:02Speaker 2: and it's the skill that has to be taught. Most
- 46:05Speaker 2: people don't understand that who we are is just energy.
- 46:11Speaker 2: That's our soul, right, and that energy, which is what
- 46:14Speaker 2: we call our soul, is the higher self, and it
- 46:18Speaker 2: is separate from the body, right. And it's like, in
- 46:21Speaker 2: my course, I teach people this very simple delineation. If
- 46:25Speaker 2: it's a negative thought, it always comes from the subconscious
- 46:29Speaker 2: mind and the body always yeah, because the body is
- 46:34Speaker 2: naturally wired negative and your subconscious is also wired negative.
- 46:38Speaker 2: So when you have a positive thought, you know that
- 46:42Speaker 2: that thought came from your soul. And the reason you
- 46:45Speaker 2: know that is because God gave us that ability. Our
- 46:48Speaker 2: soul will never speak bad about itself. It is not possible.
- 46:53Speaker 2: So once you understand that the highest voice that you have,
- 46:56Speaker 2: the one that can overturn anything served up by body
- 47:01Speaker 2: and mind, now you're metacognitive. Now you realize that my
- 47:05Speaker 2: body and mind is a monkey that is separate from me,
- 47:10Speaker 2: the observer. I'm the soul that drives that body, and
- 47:14Speaker 2: I understand that my body makes responses based upon pattern recognition,
- 47:19Speaker 2: but it's often wrong. So I can also train that
- 47:23Speaker 2: body to a different response that's habing. Yeah, if I
- 47:29Speaker 2: experience it live, I actually update the memory in the body.
- 47:34Speaker 2: And that's why I teach through experiences. So you go
- 47:38Speaker 2: into the world with a deck of one hundred and
- 47:39Speaker 2: one cards. They go from anything as easy as smile marathon.
- 47:44Speaker 2: You know some of the more difficult cards. One of
- 47:47Speaker 2: them is called A day without Convenience. And when I
- 47:50Speaker 2: play that card on you, you're going to lose your
- 47:52Speaker 2: phone for the rest of the day. So for six
- 47:55Speaker 2: hours from this point forward, you no longer have a phone,
- 47:58Speaker 2: So you better communicate. You better figure out how you're
- 48:00Speaker 2: going to communicate in this world without this little device
- 48:04Speaker 2: that also distracts you and you're obsessed with. That's one
- 48:08Speaker 2: of the most difficult exercises I play on people. Yeah,
- 48:11Speaker 2: take away their car, whether their phone or their laptop.
- 48:14Speaker 2: It's called a day without convenience. So you pick, but
- 48:18Speaker 2: whatever you pick, it has to be sacrificed in the ecercise.
- 48:21Speaker 2: So you've giving up your car, are you giving up
- 48:25Speaker 2: your phone, You're giving up your computer, but for the
- 48:27Speaker 2: rest of the day, you don't get it, okay, And
- 48:31Speaker 2: how do you show up now that you don't have that?
- 48:34Speaker 2: That's a difficult card, but it also shows you. Like
- 48:37Speaker 2: when I did that exercise, I gave up my phone,
- 48:40Speaker 2: and what surprised me was how much my body and
- 48:43Speaker 2: my nervous system reached for my phone without me saying,
- 48:47Speaker 2: check my phone. Yeah, consciousness constantly grabbing, looking for a notification, grabbing,
- 48:52Speaker 2: oh I think it banged. Okay. That was really a
- 48:55Speaker 2: league wake up call for me that my monkey brain
- 48:58Speaker 2: and my monkey body was really separate from me, and
- 49:02Speaker 2: I to do better to control that monkey body, in
- 49:04Speaker 2: that monkey mind, and that's where you know, and that's
- 49:07Speaker 2: where you truly master meta cognition to be able to
- 49:11Speaker 2: adjust your behavior real time. That's the strongest intelligence in No,
- 49:17Speaker 2: you are the highest form of intelligence when you're metacognitive.
- 49:20Speaker 2: So atcha, you're one of the smartest people in the world.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Isn't that amazing? And don't it is? It is and
- 49:28Speaker 2: it feels amazing to be in charge. I'm in charge
- 49:32Speaker 2: of this body of mind now me, not the other
- 49:35Speaker 2: way around, right, And that's the real strength and power
- 49:38Speaker 2: of transformation And why I do what I do. I
- 49:41Speaker 2: love watching people get their lives back because I did
- 49:44Speaker 2: not have a life. I would have been dead by
- 49:46Speaker 2: now for sure.
- 49:47Speaker 4: Yeah, because now I think now people are to appoint
- 49:51Speaker 4: to where I tell people, this whole economy, everything that's
- 49:58Speaker 4: going on, to me, I don't even look at it as
- 50:00Speaker 4: a bad thing.
- 50:01Speaker 3: And people are like, why don't you look at it
- 50:02Speaker 3: as a bad thing?
- 50:03Speaker 4: I said, because I said, my dad worked twenty two
- 50:07Speaker 4: years in the military, thirty something years and for the state,
- 50:11Speaker 4: the solid waste management. My daddy when he retired he
- 50:16Speaker 4: did not travel when he retired.
- 50:19Speaker 3: He worked. And then when you look at and people
- 50:22Speaker 3: like I said, you don't understand when you're retired life,
- 50:27Speaker 3: Yeah you don't.
- 50:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and you don't get when you were see And
- 50:31Speaker 4: it's the part when now that he's passed away and
- 50:34Speaker 4: now they were going through everything.
- 50:37Speaker 3: I tell people when you.
- 50:38Speaker 4: Look at their retirement or if they didn't have retirement,
- 50:42Speaker 4: or whatever the case may be, when you look.
- 50:45Speaker 3: At how much they get. My dad was being taxed
- 50:49Speaker 3: for his retirement.
- 50:51Speaker 4: He wasn't getting, you know, the same amount that he
- 50:55Speaker 4: was getting paid per hour.
- 50:58Speaker 3: He was getting pennies to be able to pay bills.
- 51:03Speaker 4: But if you started late as far as buying a house,
- 51:08Speaker 4: or you refinanced your house like my father did, I said,
- 51:13Speaker 4: then you're.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Bringing all of these things to your children.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Because my dad said, before you passed away, he said,
- 51:19Speaker 4: I'm not trying to put you out in any type
- 51:21Speaker 4: of debt. But he never got a chance to make it.
- 51:25Speaker 4: So things were in place. And so now with the
- 51:30Speaker 4: younger generation, I try to tell them, get get your
- 51:35Speaker 4: life insurance while you're young.
- 51:37Speaker 3: Get your.
- 51:40Speaker 4: You know, instead of you focusing on you know like
- 51:44Speaker 4: you said, instead of you focusing on relationships where you're
- 51:49Speaker 4: chasing that part chasing, because that's God was.
- 51:53Speaker 3: I was chasing. Yeah, you're constantly chasing.
- 51:57Speaker 4: And the problem is what you're chasing doesn't want you.
- 52:01Speaker 3: What you're chasing, it's going to continue to move.
- 52:05Speaker 4: And then when you think that.
- 52:08Speaker 3: You got it, when it sucks the life out of you.
- 52:12Speaker 4: And these people take everything they can take because they
- 52:15Speaker 4: know you're chasing them.
- 52:17Speaker 3: It's just like a negative.
- 52:18Speaker 4: Person, for example, when you don't react the way they
- 52:22Speaker 4: want you to react.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Like let's say they're saying all.
- 52:26Speaker 4: Of these things and you're like, are you done? Do
- 52:29Speaker 4: you feel better now that you said all of that,
- 52:31Speaker 4: you have a good day?
- 52:32Speaker 3: What do they do?
- 52:34Speaker 4: They keep coming and you're like, why are you still
- 52:38Speaker 4: bothering me?
- 52:38Speaker 2: It's like a kid being bullied, like listening, So why
- 52:43Speaker 2: do you keep bringing it up?
- 52:45Speaker 3: The kid is being bullied every day at school. Why
- 52:47Speaker 3: are you.
- 52:48Speaker 4: Bullying somebody that you feel is younger or beneath you.
- 52:52Speaker 4: But the thing about it is I told people, y'all
- 52:54Speaker 4: almost want somebody to die, and they was like, what
- 52:57Speaker 4: do you mean? I said, because the way you're attacking
- 53:00Speaker 4: this person, it's like you don't want this person to
- 53:03Speaker 4: end up on this planet. But then when that child
- 53:06Speaker 4: takes their lives because they go to their parents and
- 53:08Speaker 4: they say, I'm being bullied and the parents says, well,
- 53:11Speaker 4: just ignore it, just suck it up.
- 53:13Speaker 3: I'm like, a child. Can't do that.
- 53:15Speaker 4: I said, look, child can't do that because negative people
- 53:20Speaker 4: are not going to allow you to walk away from
- 53:23Speaker 4: them because for two reasons, they either want to see
- 53:26Speaker 4: you fall or they want to play victim.
- 53:29Speaker 3: You not gonna win with negativity.
- 53:32Speaker 4: No matter what you do, no matter if you don't
- 53:34Speaker 4: say nothing, you cuss them out, you put your hands
- 53:37Speaker 4: on them, if.
- 53:38Speaker 3: You try to be a symbol, you not gonna win
- 53:42Speaker 3: because it's not the reaction that they want.
- 53:45Speaker 4: What they want you to do is attack them. What
- 53:48Speaker 4: they want you to do is baby them. What they
- 53:50Speaker 4: want you to do is be their safety net. They
- 53:53Speaker 4: want you to be the person that takes the fall
- 53:56Speaker 4: for everything they do.
- 53:58Speaker 3: And no matter in what way.
- 53:59Speaker 4: And it took me when I went after going a
- 54:02Speaker 4: sex coach.
- 54:03Speaker 3: To understand that and I said, you know what, I said.
- 54:07Speaker 4: No matter what I do in this situation, y'all are
- 54:11Speaker 4: going to attack me.
- 54:12Speaker 3: And I said, you know what, you're actually.
- 54:16Speaker 4: Doing me a favor. And somebody said, what do you mean?
- 54:18Speaker 4: Do you know every person that you took out my life?
- 54:21Speaker 4: Every person? Do you know when you told my story
- 54:24Speaker 4: you didn't tell it correctly? But what you did you
- 54:27Speaker 4: didn't expose me. You exposed everybody in my life. And
- 54:31Speaker 4: they was like, what do you mean? I said, when
- 54:35Speaker 4: you expose people, it isn't the person you're exposing, it's
- 54:40Speaker 4: the reaction of everybody when they hear it. That person
- 54:44Speaker 4: may already have closure, which I did. Everything in my
- 54:47Speaker 4: life had closure, Every chapter had been closed because I
- 54:50Speaker 4: forgave everybody, I made amends, I repented for my wrongs.
- 54:55Speaker 3: And I said, do you not.
- 54:57Speaker 4: Understand you were my greatest healing And what do you
- 55:00Speaker 4: mean because not only did you break my chains of fear,
- 55:04Speaker 4: not only did you break the bonds that is, the
- 55:07Speaker 4: insecurities and the doubts.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Do you not understand you open the cage? You set me?
- 55:19Speaker 3: I said, you set me free.
- 55:21Speaker 4: I don't know why because everything that was keeping me
- 55:26Speaker 4: in that chain. Because I go back to Sam when Samson,
- 55:31Speaker 4: when Delilah cut his hair and he was in he
- 55:35Speaker 4: was chained blind and he was in his his weakest moment,
- 55:42Speaker 4: she cried. His strength came back, and what.
- 55:46Speaker 3: Did he did?
- 55:46Speaker 4: He do He destroyed everything because he was set free,
- 55:50Speaker 4: and he destroyed everybody who hurt him. I said, what
- 55:54Speaker 4: people don't understand is when people expose you.
- 55:58Speaker 3: They're not exposing you. They're setting you free.
- 56:03Speaker 4: And just like with Jesus, when Jesus didn't say anything,
- 56:07Speaker 4: Jesus sat quiet the whole.
- 56:08Speaker 3: Time he was crucified. He knew that he was going to.
- 56:12Speaker 4: Be betrayed by someone from one of the disciples.
- 56:17Speaker 3: He knew that.
- 56:18Speaker 4: He knew it, and he said, God, why did you
- 56:21Speaker 4: forsake me? And people don't understand if he would have
- 56:26Speaker 4: stayed in this world, no matter what he did, he
- 56:30Speaker 4: would have never.
- 56:31Speaker 3: Been able to they had never been satisfied.
- 56:35Speaker 4: No, And he knew that. So when he was crucified
- 56:39Speaker 4: and then resurrected from the dead, I tell people, when
- 56:43Speaker 4: people expose you, or when people you know accuse you
- 56:49Speaker 4: of things like a court, look at it as Jesus,
- 56:53Speaker 4: because all they're doing is setting you free because you
- 56:57Speaker 4: can overcome the punished. You can overcome if you survive.
- 57:04Speaker 4: But see that's difference.
- 57:05Speaker 3: You survived.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Jesus was resurrected from the dead, despite the beatings, despite
- 57:11Speaker 4: all of that, he was resurrected from the dead. So
- 57:14Speaker 4: when I was going through that and they were going
- 57:16Speaker 4: after my family, my job, and going through all of
- 57:18Speaker 4: these things, I said, do you not know you're releasing
- 57:22Speaker 4: me from society standards? Do you not know you're releasing
- 57:25Speaker 4: me from the world, because I don't want to be
- 57:26Speaker 4: a part of the world.
- 57:27Speaker 3: I just want to be in the world.
- 57:29Speaker 4: And it went over people's heads and they was like,
- 57:32Speaker 4: you just so calm. I said, yeah, because their commerce
- 57:36Speaker 4: gonna come back on them, because everything they did to me,
- 57:38Speaker 4: I'm not gonna touch them because somebody else is sure enough.
- 57:42Speaker 4: A year later found out all of these people went
- 57:46Speaker 4: through the same thing, and they didn't understand. I said,
- 57:49Speaker 4: for me, it was the best thing, because, like you said,
- 57:52Speaker 4: now I'm doing what I love now coaching. Now I'm
- 57:54Speaker 4: doing podcasting. I'm not working for anybody anymore. I have
- 57:58Speaker 4: the money now to that's in my business. And I said,
- 58:03Speaker 4: for you, man, good for you that. Yeah, And that
- 58:06Speaker 4: was because if that wouldn't have happened that, if.
- 58:09Speaker 2: That that set you free, that's set me free. Yeah.
- 58:14Speaker 3: It's just like domestic.
- 58:15Speaker 4: If you go through mystic violence and lack your situation
- 58:17Speaker 4: when you were a kid, if that wouldn't have happened,
- 58:21Speaker 4: not only wouldn't have you if you would have never
- 58:23Speaker 4: found out all of these things that you were dealing with, yep,
- 58:26Speaker 4: and also it set you free because you met people
- 58:29Speaker 4: that like the same thing.
- 58:30Speaker 3: Here. I met people that I didn't know.
- 58:33Speaker 4: And that's how I got into podcasting because.
- 58:35Speaker 3: It's like I look at things in threes.
- 58:38Speaker 4: I kept seeing all this stuff about podcasting, and I said, well,
- 58:41Speaker 4: I've never done podcasting before.
- 58:44Speaker 3: If somebody said you need to do it, I just did.
- 58:47Speaker 4: I wouldn't think of the millions I'd be sitting here
- 58:49Speaker 4: talking to you.
- 58:50Speaker 2: And but isn't that the most beautiful thing? Though? Yeah,
- 58:54Speaker 2: it's like that's what I love about. Like you know,
- 58:57Speaker 2: when you when you walk in goodness, that's what I
- 58:59Speaker 2: call it, all right, when you walk in goodness, it's
- 59:02Speaker 2: a lonely road, and there's a lot of people that
- 59:04Speaker 2: are friends and family that are going to leave your
- 59:07Speaker 2: your orbit because they're not walking where you're at. They're
- 59:10Speaker 2: vibrating in a lower state of existence. And you were there, right,
- 59:15Speaker 2: so you you lovingly set the best example of what
- 59:18Speaker 2: life can be when you walk in light, in goodness.
- 59:21Speaker 2: And you know, I've learned that. You know, I don't
- 59:24Speaker 2: tell people my company is called It's Pure Love, and
- 59:27Speaker 2: the its is It's And when I named my company,
- 59:31Speaker 2: I named it because everybody comes from different persuasions in life.
- 59:36Speaker 2: And while I was raised a Christian, you know, a
- 59:38Speaker 2: Christian and generally adopt most of the Christian principles, I
- 59:42Speaker 2: also recognize that there's other people that have their own
- 59:46Speaker 2: religions and belief system and I got to let them
- 59:48Speaker 2: love the God that they worship. At the end of
- 59:52Speaker 2: the day, we're all united in love. We are all
- 59:54Speaker 2: united because at the top of the food chain of
- 59:56Speaker 2: every religion is the source for love. So let's just
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: all agree that we can align in love and we'll
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: let everybody name what that is. So you name it God,
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: you name it Jesus, you name it Jehovah, you name
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: it Allah. Doesn't mean yahweh exactly. None of that matters.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: What matters is that we can unite in love and
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: we can walk in goodness. And when you make that decision, yeah,
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: you do notice a degradation and all the people in
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: your life and you realize that they were wearing you
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: down and they're not going to be part of the
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: new life that you're in. But what's beautiful is when
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: you meet cool people. Yep, Like you know what I mean.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Like I say the same thing, like I never thought
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: that I would be fifty eight years old starting a
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: neuroscience company and literally when I should be retiring. I'm
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: getting into the biggest stage of my life and I'm
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: super happy about it and I'm grateful, thankful for everything
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: that happened to me in my life because all that
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: shit made me a better man. I'm a better man.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: I'm a bound I understand the importance of maskaline energy,
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: and I understand as a man, I also have to
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: embody feminine energy. And the perfect man is the one
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: that can balance both as necessary in the moment. I
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: got to protect my family when I need to, and
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: the I need to be tender for that little one
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: or for that moment when my wife needs that little
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: extra tenderness from me. That's the perfect man. My hope
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: is to is to you know, again, I stand up
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: because one in six boys were abused and nobody talks
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: about it. That's important. I stand up because mental health
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: is important in this country and we're all suffering and
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: there's a better way to heal, and it's not always mets. Okay,
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: I don't. I don't. Like I said earlier, some people
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: have to have meds, but I'm convinced most people do not.
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: What they need is better emotional regulation, and that is
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: a skill that can be taught, and that's what I
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: teach through my course. You know, at it's pure love.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: So I'm always grateful. I'm thankful for the time that
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: I got to spend today meeting you and the goodness
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: that you're putting into the world and the advice you're
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: giving people from the heart. Like I can feel the
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: love that you put into the world. That I applaud
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: you and I think.
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: Thank you and lackwise.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Then that's why I say I never put my son
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: on any medications, and it's been more holistic, and I
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: think that holistic lifestyle and I think, Mama, yeah, because
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: the the.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: I when I got away from the world, I also
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: got away from the world when it came to raise
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: my son. It wasn't I said, you know what, all this,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: all of this.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: School don't matter, because when you graduate, you're not going to.
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: Use majority of it. I mean, it's good.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: It's good to know about history, good to know about science,
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: good to know.
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: But the one thing that's.
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: Not incorporated thinking, common sense and common judgment, quantum physics,
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: the subconscious and the conscious mind about decision making as
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: far as actual behavior, choice and decisions, and then also
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: consequences and repercussions, and what is the correct way of
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: the mind as far as thinking when it comes to that,
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: and my first instinct now because of my body, is
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: how does my mind, body and spirit? How are they
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: going to be affected? Who am I impacting? Who am
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: I affecting? Let me let me like this picture behind me, black,
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: you're a picture. Let me let me put all these
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: jigsaw pictures and puzzles together. Because somebody asked me, They said, well,
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: how do you go about weakness? I said, I don't
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: have weakness. They said, what do you mean. I don't
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: look at anything as a weakness. I look at things
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: as a challenge. I look at it as something.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: That I can roll over throth.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: It's an opportunity for growth. I said.
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: If I think about it as a weakness, then I'm
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: gonna have depression and anxiety and then I'm gonna think
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: I'm not good enough, and then I'm gonna have low
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: self esteem, low self work, low self value.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: This lady was blown away. She said, I never thought
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: about it that way.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: I said, the minute you label yourself, then your belief
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: system is gonna hold on to that and you cannot.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: And I tell people about going forward and backwards. People say,
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: why don't you ever like the word or the prefix
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: are e. I said, because once you start read anything,
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: if you don't do it with a new mindset, if
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: you don't do it with a new frame of mind,
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: if you don't know how to add, subtract, multiply, like algebra.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: I mean, algebra is the same thing how I deal
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: with negative people.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: Negative and negative will always equal negative. It don't matter
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: if you add as attractive.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: Negative and positive will always equal negative. So you're still
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: gonna be subtracting positive and positive if it's gonna always
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: be positive, because no matter if you multiply or divide it,
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: it's still gonna be positive because it's gonna lead the
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: positive and people's like I never thought, I said, if
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: people taught algebra that way, and you incorporate decision making
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: into algebra, if you incorporate decision making into math, you
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: will be amazed how people will make decisions because you're
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: always going to be programming and deprogramming.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: But when you.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: Say the word are eli if I'm going to read
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: program myself, I don't mean say I say I newly
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: programmed myself.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: I said I can do something over and over and
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: over again, but I'm not read anything.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Yeah. I like that. That's really nice.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: I like that.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Yeah. So I'm definitely looking forward to going more in
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: depth inness because that that thing that we're missing is balance,
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: that word, and so I really would like to get
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: into that because a lot of people don't don't understand
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: that that puzzle and the one thing we're missing is
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: research validation. And you're trying to find validation and people,
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: but you're not finding it in yourself.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: And I tell people you're healing and recovering.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: It isn't about Okay, I lost fifty pounds, I lost
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: twenty pounds.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: How do you maintain it?
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: How?
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: What? What is it? What is this?
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: Because here's the thing, it's not about whether you lose
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: the weight. It's your foundation. What is your whole entire
- 1:06:41Speaker 4: life gonna look like when you lose the weight, what
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: is your new what is a new mind frame?
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: What is your new self esteem gonna look like?
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: So you're not just losing the weight. It's not just
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: about the weight. It's also about a lifestyle. So everything
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: that you do incorporates with that foundation is your lifestyle.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: So if you how do you maintain that new version
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: of you along.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: With the weight, because some people lose weight and they
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: still have low self esteem.
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: So I always want to go into Yeah, I really
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: want to go into that, how do we maintain these
- 1:07:17Speaker 4: new versions of our healing?
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: How do you maintain you know, not going through cancer.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: So I really will like for that episode to be
- 1:07:27Speaker 4: based upon that, and I'm really looking forward to doing.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: That with you.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: So I'm going to send you the calendar and then
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: whenever you're available.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: I'm really looking forward to it.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Likewise, and I'm a reality person and putting goodness into
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: the world. And the thing I'll always find is I
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: connect most with authentic people. And I thank you for
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: being authentic with me today and sharing your story and
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: your life. And I just want you to know that
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: I see you, and I'm grateful for the love and
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: the life that you're putting into the world, and I
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: certainly will have a better day because I'm at you.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: Thank you, and likewise, I love what you're doing as well.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: And our stories are so similar in the fact that
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: we're overcoming it and we're constantly elevating, evolving, and now
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: the things that we're learning through those elevations and those
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: evolving because what I want to teach my clients is
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: how to maintain their healing and their recovery no matter
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: what you go through.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Yes you don't. That's where most programs fail, all right.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: And what makes what I teach different is that once
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: you've got this deck of cards all right, there, there's
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: ten things that you learn in these cards. I'm sorry,
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: eight things that you learn in those cards. They're broken
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: out into systems, but they're designed to teach a behavior.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: So like, for instance, some of the exercise are about courage.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: So I've got to have the muster. Oh you want
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: me to wait a minute, okay, wait, So in this exercise,
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: you want me to go into a public place, put
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: on some music, and start dancing in the middle of
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: the park, in the middle of the grocery store. Yeah,
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: that's exactly right. That's what I'm asking you to do.
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: I'm not gonna do that. People will stare at me,
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: people will laugh at me. Uh huh, yes they will,
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: And that's humiliation. And the mere fact that you were
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: resisting this card tells me that somewhere in your childhood
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: you were humiliated. Because there should be no reason right
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: now that you cannot put on music and dance and
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: celebrate your own life. And yes, people will look at you,
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: but you don't give your power away. You're celebrating because
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: you're full of joy. That's what you're doing. So let's
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: go do this exercise and watch what happens. Right. So
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: I had a lady that I was working with and
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: that that was the card that was going to end
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: her journey. She is like, there is no way that
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: I'm doing this, and I said, look, I understand, but
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: I want you to pay attention because what you're actually
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: resisting is the very thing that I'm trying to to
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: teach you. Okay, the fact that you're not willing to
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: do this tells me that there's other things in your
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: life and in your shadow that you are not seeing, feeling, doing,
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: and it's because you're not willing to take a little
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: bit of risk. So let's let's try it again, find
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: a different location. Well, eventually, because I do everything by video,
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: so she finished it. She actually recorded herself dancing. And
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: what she did was she went near a busy street,
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: she pulled up into a gas station, she opened the
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: doors on her car, she cranked the stereo, and she
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: stood there and she danced while she filled it in.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: And what I love was that she used her own
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: thought process to solve and create a sense of safety
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: which she needed to do the exercise. And like, congratulations,
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: I didn't tell you how to do it this way.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: You created a safe place for you and then you danced. Okay.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: So the funny thing was she picked a gas station
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: because there was nobody in it. So now she's dancing
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: and a young man pulls up at the pump next
- 1:11:03Speaker 2: to her, and he's a good looking young college kid
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: street you know, ready to have a good time. And
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: she's over there dancing and he looks at her, and
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: she was instantly embarrassed. And then she thought to myself, no,
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: I'm feeling joy and happiness right now. So she says
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: to the guy, I'm actually taking a course right now
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: and experiential learning, and I'm dancing in public to convince
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: myself that it's okay to be humiliated, and now I'm
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: gonna be all right. So the guy heard that and
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: he started laughing and he's like, I'll dance with you.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: So that guy joined the fun, and now everybody's dancing
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: at the gas pump.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: So yes, it goes.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: And then she sent me the video and the video
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: was full of tears of joy because she now realized
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: that I'm not going to be humiliated like that anymore.
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: And that feeling that came from my childhood, that my
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: psyche over embellished was not a story that I can
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: keep playing, like Wow, this is amazing. I'm like, okay,
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: so now go take that feeling that you have right
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: now and triumph and go do the next card okay,
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: because this is about learning who you are, So go
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: do the next card.
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: Man.
- 1:12:13Speaker 2: She knocked it out of the park. Once she got
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: over that initial hump, she realized that she could do anything.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: Now you can break both early, and.
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: She learned in one exercise, I took her through the
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: entire psychological profile in a number of minutes, and the
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: brain updated that story. So she's never gonna worry about
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: being seen in public anymore. She's gonna remember that time
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: I danced and I became vulnerable and it worked out amazing,
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: and I met a nice stranger and I had a
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: fun time. And that is the new memory associated with
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: this thing that fear is serving up now.
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: And that's what I want to talk about with you
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: next time we get together. I'll look forward to it.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, yep, because these are the experiences. Right. So
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: now you've got that deck of cards. So that was
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: the first time you pulled that card. But next year,
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: you're using the deck of cards. You randomly pull and
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: it's stance out loud again. But this time you're not
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: at a gas station. This time you're in a grocery
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: store and you pull the card. Okay, that's going to
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: be a different experience, isn't it, Because I'm in a
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: different place with different people, and I'm also at a
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: different time of my life. So the cards. What's cool
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: about the exercises is they change because your life changes,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: and you'll never get tired of them. Like I puy
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: these cards. I pull two cards a week, and that's
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: what keeps me locked into goodness. It keeps my heart open, right,
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: So I pull two cards a week. Anybody in my program.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: We load these cards onto your phone, and that's ultimately
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: what you pull from that deck. You randomly let God
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: show you what you need to work on, and God
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: will show you in that deck of card something you
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: need to strengthen. That's how it works, right, and then
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: we use the protocol. We call it the Neurogratitude Reset.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: And once you learn how to do it, you go
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: out into the world and you find God will show you.
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: He will light your heart of the person that needs
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: to hear your message, and then you pour your authentic
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: self into that person and let them know how they
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: showed up for you and the difference it made in
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: your life beyond the obvious. I understand you're just selling
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: coffee at the front register to Starbucks, but you're actually
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: changing my life. Let me explain that's what I do,
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: and then I explain that that they aren't just selling coffee.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: You're giving me twenty minutes of my life. And with
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: that twenty minutes of my life that I'm going to
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: get coming here, I'm going to get a hot breakfast,
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: a hot cup of coffee. And that all happened because
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: you rolled out of bed at four point thirty in
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: the morning. That was a sacrifice that you made so
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: that I could come here and purchase this cup of coffee.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: So you didn't have to get out of bed. You
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: chose to come out, to get out of bed and
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: come to a place where people aren't always nice. They're
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: not always nice to you at the front desk. So
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: I want to acknowledge you today for the hard the
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: hard work, And that's what it's about, you know what
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: I mean. Just acknowledging people for what they do. Like
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: acknowledging you, because I know how hard it is to
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: do a podcast. I did two hundred and seventy five
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: episodes of Those Bad Boys, and I know how much
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: time it takes to edit, put together, create the script,
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: all that stuff, and everybody gets to listen for free,
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: for free. And when you start a podcast, you're making nothing,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: but you stick with it and eventually you find an
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: audience and you find a niche and then people start
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: following you, and then you monetize and then you grow
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: your business. So girl, hots off to you.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: I'm impressed you.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: I'm impressed. I look forward to the conversation. So shoot
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: me an email, let me know I will hop on
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: your calendar and we're gonna have a lovely time.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: Thank you so much. I appreciate it. And you have
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: a very very beautiful, beautiful day.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: I sure will, and thank you for making mine beautiful
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: as well.
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: Like Wise, thank you.
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: Okay, we'll be in touch. I look forward to it.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: You too, Take care time.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Bye bye,
