  and
• 0:41
  we

• 0:42
  we
• 0:43
  wanted

  about
• 0:44
  Netflix

  some

  they're

  Emily
• 0:50
  in
• 0:50
  talking
• 0:50
  about
• 0:51
  Netflix,
• 0:52
  shocker.
• 0:53
  And
• 0:54
  yeah,
• 0:54
  no,
• 0:54
  really,
• 0:54
  it's
• 0:55
  an
• 0:55
  interesting
• 0:55
  time.
• 0:56
  I
• 0:56
  felt
• 0:56
  like
• 0:57
  I
• 0:57
  was
• 0:57
  being
• 0:57
  trolled
• 0:57
  last
• 0:58
  week
• 0:58
  because
• 0:58
  I
• 0:58
  was
• 0:58
  on
• 0:58
  holidays,
• 0:59
  I
• 0:59
  was
• 0:59
  on
• 0:59
  leave.
• 1:00
  And
• 1:01
  yeah,
• 1:02
  Netflix
• 1:02
  decided
• 1:02
  to
• 1:03
  make
• 1:03
  a
• 1:03
  big
• 1:03
  announcement
• 1:04
  in
• 1:05
  the
• 1:05
  kids
• 1:05
  segment.
• 1:06
  So
• 1:06
  they
• 1:06
  have
• 1:07
  released
• 1:07
  the
• 1:07
  Netflix
• 1:07
  playground
• 1:08
  app.
• 1:08
  So
• 1:09
  Netflix
• 1:09
  had
• 1:09
  been
• 1:09
  working
• 1:10
  on
• 1:11
  a
• 1:11
  gaming
• 1:11
  strategy
• 1:12
  for
• 1:12
  a
• 1:12
  number
• 1:13
  of
• 1:13
  years.
• 1:15
  They
• 1:15
  really
• 1:15
  clarified
• 1:16
  around
• 1:16
  it
• 1:17
  towards
• 1:17
  the
• 1:17
  end
• 1:17
  of
• 1:18
  2025.
• 1:18
  And
• 1:19
  we
• 1:19
  ran,
• 1:21
  me
• 1:21
  and
• 1:21
  the
• 1:21
  team
• 1:21
  put
• 1:21
  together
• 1:22
  a
• 1:22
  Netflix
• 1:22
  gaming
• 1:23
  report
• 1:23
  looking
• 1:23
  at
• 1:24
  the
• 1:24
  games
• 1:25
  that
• 1:25
  they
• 1:25
  had
• 1:25
  and
• 1:26
  how
• 1:26
  you
• 1:26
  access
• 1:26
  them
• 1:27
  and
• 1:27
  all
• 1:27
  this
• 1:27
  kind
• 1:27
  of
• 1:27
  stuff.
• 1:28
  One
• 1:29
  of
• 1:29
  the
• 1:29
  main
• 1:29
  issues
• 1:29
  being
• 1:31
  the
• 1:31
  way
• 1:31
  you
• 1:31
  access
• 1:32
  Netflix
• 1:32
  Netflix
• 1:33
  games
• 1:33
  is
• 1:33
  you
• 1:33
  have
• 1:33
  to
• 1:34
  go
• 1:34
  and
• 1:34
  download
• 1:34
  the
• 1:34
  app
• 1:35
  separately
• 1:35
  and
• 1:35
  then
• 1:35
  log
• 1:36
  in
• 1:36
  via
• 1:36
  Netflix
• 1:37
  account.
• 1:37
  So
• 1:37
  it's,
• 1:38
  it's
• 1:38
  not
• 1:38
  like
• 1:38
  seamlessly
• 1:39
  within
• 1:39
  the
• 1:39
  platform.
• 1:40
  Yep.
• 1:41
  And
• 1:41
  the
• 1:41
  other
• 1:41
  thing
• 1:41
  about
• 1:42
  that
• 1:42
  is
• 1:43
  we
• 1:44
  were
• 1:44
  seeing
• 1:44
  that
• 1:45
  their
• 1:45
  kids
• 1:45
  games
• 1:47
  also
• 1:47
  weren't
• 1:47
  available
• 1:48
  within
• 1:48
  kids
• 1:48
  profiles,
• 1:49
  which,
• 1:49
  you
• 1:50
  know,
• 1:50
  it's,
• 1:50
  that
• 1:50
  was
• 1:50
  a
• 1:51
  tricky
• 1:51
  one
• 1:51
  to
• 1:51
  solve
• 1:51
  because,
• 1:53
  you
• 1:53
  know,
• 1:53
  you
• 1:54
  don't
• 1:54
  want
• 1:54
  to
• 1:54
  have
• 1:54
  kids.
• 1:55
  You
• 1:55
  don't
• 1:55
  want
• 1:55
  to
• 1:55
  have
• 1:56
  a
• 1:56
  gateway
• 1:56
  for
• 1:56
  kids
• 1:56
  to
• 1:56
  exit
• 1:57
  the
• 1:57
  environment
• 1:57
  that
• 1:58
  they're
• 1:58
  in,
• 1:58
  a
• 1:59
  digital
• 1:59
  environment
• 1:59
  that
• 2:00
  they're
• 2:00
  in,
• 2:00
  and
• 2:00
  to
• 2:01
  go
• 2:01
  to
• 2:01
  the
• 2:01
  app
• 2:01
  Store
• 2:01
  and
• 2:01
  start
• 2:02
  clicking,
• 2:02
  going
• 2:02
  mad.
• 2:03
  But
• 2:03
  at
• 2:04
  the
• 2:04
  same
• 2:04
  time,
• 2:04
  it's
• 2:04
  a
• 2:04
  major,
• 2:05
  it
• 2:05
  was
• 2:05
  a
• 2:05
  major
• 2:05
  discovery
• 2:06
  hurdle
• 2:07
  as
• 2:07
  well.
• 2:08
  So
• 2:09
  we
• 2:09
  put
• 2:09
  together
• 2:09
  a
• 2:09
  report,
• 2:10
  a
• 2:10
  report
• 2:10
  on
• 2:10
  Netflix
• 2:11
  games,
• 2:11
  and
• 2:12
  that
• 2:12
  went
• 2:12
  out
• 2:12
  in
• 2:13
  December
• 2:13
  of
• 2:13
  last
• 2:13
  year
• 2:14
  to
• 2:14
  clients
• 2:14
  of
• 2:14
  the
• 2:14
  Netflix
• 2:15
  Kids
• 2:15
  content
• 2:15
  Report.
• 2:16
  And
• 2:16
  actually
• 2:17
  I
• 2:17
  wrote
• 2:17
  about
• 2:18
  it
• 2:18
  in
• 2:18
  my
• 2:18
  newsletter
• 2:19
  and
• 2:20
  subsequently
• 2:21
  had
• 2:21
  outreach
• 2:22
  of
• 2:22
  Netflix
• 2:22
  game,
• 2:22
  the
• 2:22
  Netflix
• 2:23
  gaming
• 2:23
  team
• 2:23
  saying,
• 2:23
  hey,
• 2:24
  yeah,
• 2:24
  we
• 2:24
  know
• 2:24
  about
• 2:24
  the
• 2:25
  problems
• 2:25
  and
• 2:25
  we've
• 2:25
  tried
• 2:25
  to
• 2:25
  fix
• 2:26
  it,
• 2:26
  fix
• 2:26
  them
• 2:26
  this
• 2:27
  weekend,
• 2:27
  actually.
• 2:28
  And
• 2:28
  they
• 2:28
  were
• 2:29
  like,
• 2:29
  they
• 2:29
  were,
• 2:29
  you
• 2:29
  know,
• 2:29
  they
• 2:29
  were
• 2:30
  kind
• 2:30
  about
• 2:30
  it
• 2:30
  and
• 2:30
  they
• 2:30
  were
• 2:30
  like,
• 2:30
  we
• 2:31
  just,
• 2:31
  we
• 2:31
  wanted
• 2:31
  to
• 2:31
  let
• 2:32
  you
• 2:32
  know
• 2:32
  because,
• 2:32
  like,
• 2:32
  we,
• 2:33
  we
• 2:33
  hear
• 2:33
  you,
• 2:33
  we
• 2:33
  hear
• 2:33
  your
• 2:34
  pain
• 2:34
  on
• 2:34
  some
• 2:34
  of
• 2:34
  this.
• 2:35
  So
• 2:36
  Netflix
• 2:36
  have
• 2:36
  four
• 2:37
  main
• 2:38
  pillars
• 2:38
  when
• 2:39
  it
• 2:39
  comes
• 2:39
  to
• 2:39
  games.
• 2:39
  They
• 2:40
  have
• 2:41
  kids
• 2:41
  games,
• 2:41
  mainstream
• 2:42
  games,
• 2:42
  party
• 2:42
  games
• 2:43
  and
• 2:43
  narrative
• 2:43
  games.
• 2:44
  Now
• 2:44
  what
• 2:44
  they
• 2:45
  define
• 2:45
  as
• 2:45
  a
• 2:45
  kids
• 2:46
  game
• 2:46
  is
• 2:47
  really
• 2:47
  narrow
• 2:49
  and
• 2:49
  you
• 2:50
  know
• 2:50
  this,
• 2:50
  it's
• 2:51
  around
• 2:51
  3%
• 2:51
  of
• 2:51
  the
• 2:51
  games.
• 2:52
  So
• 2:52
  what
• 2:52
  do
• 2:52
  they
• 2:52
  define
• 2:53
  as
• 2:53
  a
• 2:53
  kid's
• 2:54
  game?
• 2:54
  Like,
• 2:54
  like
• 2:54
  Peppa
• 2:54
  Pig.
• 2:55
  Right,
• 2:55
  like,
• 2:55
  but
• 2:56
  whereas,
• 2:56
  okay,
• 2:56
  you
• 2:57
  know,
• 2:57
  what
• 2:57
  we
• 2:58
  define
• 2:58
  as
• 2:58
  kids
• 2:58
  games
• 2:59
  from
• 2:59
  the
• 2:59
  Netflix,
• 3:00
  the
• 3:01
  independent
• 3:01
  Netflix
• 3:01
  Kids
• 3:02
  Content
• 3:02
  report
• 3:02
  point
• 3:02
  of
• 3:02
  view
• 3:03
  is
• 3:03
  anything
• 3:03
  that's
• 3:03
  going
• 3:03
  to
• 3:03
  appeal
• 3:04
  to
• 3:04
  a
• 3:04
  kid.
• 3:04
  Like
• 3:05
  genuine
• 3:05
  kid
• 3:05
  appeal.
• 3:05
  Right.
• 3:06
  A
• 3:06
  kid
• 3:06
  could
• 3:07
  play
• 3:07
  solitaire,
• 3:07
  but
• 3:07
  solitaire
• 3:08
  isn't
• 3:08
  really
• 3:08
  going
• 3:08
  to
• 3:08
  appeal
• 3:09
  to
• 3:09
  kids
• 3:09
  that
• 3:09
  much.
• 3:09
  Right.
• 3:09
  But
• 3:10
  like
• 3:10
  something
• 3:10
  like,
• 3:11
  like,
• 3:12
  like
• 3:12
  an,
• 3:12
  like
• 3:13
  an
• 3:13
  Infinite
• 3:13
  Runner
• 3:14
  game
• 3:14
  or
• 3:14
  something
• 3:14
  like
• 3:14
  that
• 3:14
  will
• 3:15
  definitely
• 3:15
  have
• 3:15
  kids
• 3:15
  appeal.
• 3:18
  And
• 3:18
  so
• 3:18
  there's
• 3:18
  lots
• 3:19
  of,
• 3:19
  you
• 3:20
  know,
• 3:20
  there's,
• 3:20
  there's
• 3:21
  lots
• 3:21
  of
• 3:21
  games
• 3:21
  that
• 3:21
  are
• 3:21
  there
• 3:21
  lots
• 3:22
  of
• 3:22
  games
• 3:22
  that
• 3:22
  are
• 3:22
  doing
• 3:22
  well.
• 3:23
  They
• 3:23
  have
• 3:23
  different
• 3:23
  ones.
• 3:24
  Some
• 3:24
  are
• 3:24
  very
• 3:24
  IP
• 3:25
  driven,
• 3:25
  like
• 3:25
  Peppa
• 3:26
  Pig,
• 3:26
  like
• 3:26
  I
• 3:26
  said
• 3:26
  like
• 3:26
  a
• 3:26
  spot,
• 3:27
  like
• 3:27
  there's
• 3:27
  a
• 3:27
  sponge
• 3:28
  spongebob
• 3:28
  game.
• 3:29
  And
• 3:29
  others
• 3:30
  are
• 3:30
  like
• 3:30
  totally
• 3:31
  IP
• 3:32
  agnostic,
• 3:32
  which
• 3:32
  is
• 3:33
  interesting.
• 3:33
  As
• 3:33
  I
• 3:33
  said,
• 3:33
  they
• 3:33
  have
• 3:33
  things
• 3:34
  like
• 3:34
  Solitaire
• 3:35
  Battleship,
• 3:35
  that
• 3:35
  kind
• 3:36
  of
• 3:36
  thing.
• 3:37
  But
• 3:37
  the
• 3:37
  Netflix
• 3:38
  playground
• 3:38
  app
• 3:39
  launched
• 3:39
  last
• 3:39
  week,
• 3:41
  that's
• 3:41
  kind
• 3:41
  of
• 3:42
  like
• 3:42
  more
• 3:42
  of
• 3:42
  a
• 3:42
  world
• 3:43
  of
• 3:43
  games
• 3:43
  for
• 3:44
  very,
• 3:44
  very
• 3:44
  much
• 3:45
  for
• 3:45
  preschoolers.
• 3:45
  Right.
• 3:46
  Like
• 3:46
  it's
• 3:46
  young
• 3:46
  skewing.
• 3:47
  They
• 3:47
  say
• 3:47
  it's
• 3:47
  eight
• 3:47
  and
• 3:47
  under,
• 3:48
  but
• 3:48
  it
• 3:48
  is,
• 3:49
  it's
• 3:49
  pretty
• 3:49
  young.
• 3:50
  So
• 3:50
  it
• 3:50
  has
• 3:50
  ip,
• 3:51
  limited
• 3:52
  IP
• 3:52
  available.
• 3:52
  So
• 3:53
  from
• 3:53
  a
• 3:53
  third
• 3:53
  party
• 3:54
  point
• 3:54
  of
• 3:54
  view,
• 3:54
  it
• 3:54
  has
• 3:54
  Peppa
• 3:55
  Pig,
• 3:55
  Sesame
• 3:56
  street
• 3:57
  and
• 3:57
  then
• 3:57
  a
• 3:57
  couple
• 3:57
  of
• 3:57
  IP
• 3:58
  from
• 3:58
  Dr.
• 3:58
  Seuss.
• 3:59
  It
• 3:59
  also
• 4:00
  then
• 4:00
  has
• 4:00
  Bad
• 4:00
  Dinosaurs
• 4:01
  which
• 4:01
  I
• 4:01
  think
• 4:01
  is
• 4:02
  really
• 4:02
  interesting.
• 4:02
  We
• 4:03
  talked
• 4:03
  to
• 4:03
  the
• 4:03
  creators
• 4:04
  about
• 4:04
  Dinosaurs.
• 4:05
  Gosh,
• 4:05
  it's
• 4:05
  probably
• 4:05
  like
• 4:06
  two
• 4:06
  years
• 4:06
  ago
• 4:06
  now
• 4:07
  and
• 4:08
  has
• 4:08
  StoryBots.
• 4:09
  So
• 4:09
  StoryBots
• 4:10
  is
• 4:13
  StoryBots
• 4:13
  Netflix
• 4:14
  actually
• 4:14
  own
• 4:14
  outright.
• 4:15
  They
• 4:15
  bought
• 4:15
  the
• 4:15
  company
• 4:15
  behind
• 4:15
  it
• 4:16
  a
• 4:16
  number
• 4:16
  of
• 4:16
  years
• 4:16
  ago.
• 4:17
  So
• 4:17
  they'll
• 4:17
  have
• 4:17
  likes
• 4:18
  to
• 4:18
  do
• 4:18
  all
• 4:18
  of
• 4:18
  that.
• 4:19
  And
• 4:19
  then
• 4:19
  I
• 4:19
  thought
• 4:19
  Bad
• 4:20
  Dinosaurs
• 4:20
  was
• 4:20
  such
• 4:20
  an
• 4:21
  interesting
• 4:21
  pick
• 4:21
  because
• 4:22
  I
• 4:23
  definitely
• 4:23
  think
• 4:24
  there
• 4:25
  are
• 4:27
  currents
• 4:27
  going
• 4:27
  around
• 4:28
  that
• 4:29
  under
• 4:29
  leveraged
• 4:30
  IP
• 4:31
  could
• 4:31
  have
• 4:32
  a
• 4:32
  moment.
• 4:32
  Right?
• 4:32
  So
• 4:33
  like
• 4:33
  yeah,
• 4:33
  the
• 4:34
  last
• 4:34
  decade
• 4:34
  there's
• 4:35
  been
• 4:35
  so
• 4:35
  many
• 4:35
  great
• 4:35
  series
• 4:36
  launched
• 4:37
  like
• 4:37
  Bad
• 4:37
  Dinosaurs
• 4:38
  that
• 4:38
  we
• 4:38
  know
• 4:38
  really
• 4:38
  was
• 4:39
  really
• 4:39
  sticky
• 4:39
  and
• 4:39
  really
• 4:40
  connected
• 4:40
  and
• 4:40
  cut
• 4:40
  through
• 4:42
  that
• 4:42
  were
• 4:42
  then
• 4:42
  kind
• 4:42
  of
• 4:43
  like
• 4:43
  one
• 4:43
  and
• 4:43
  done
• 4:43
  and
• 4:44
  kind
• 4:44
  of
• 4:44
  left
• 4:44
  on
• 4:44
  the
• 4:44
  shelf
• 4:45
  and
• 4:45
  all
• 4:46
  that
• 4:46
  value
• 4:46
  that's
• 4:46
  been
• 4:47
  proven
• 4:48
  is
• 4:48
  not,
• 4:48
  is
• 4:48
  not
• 4:48
  there
• 4:49
  to
• 4:49
  be,
• 4:49
  to
• 4:50
  be
• 4:50
  leveraged.
• 4:51
  So
• 4:51
  you
• 4:51
  know,
• 4:52
  Netflix
• 4:53
  doubling
• 4:53
  down
• 4:53
  on
• 4:53
  gaming,
• 4:54
  you
• 4:54
  know,
• 4:54
  gaming
• 4:55
  interfaces
• 4:55
  for
• 4:55
  Bad
• 4:55
  Dinosaurs
• 4:56
  is
• 4:56
  a
• 4:56
  really
• 4:56
  interesting
• 4:57
  one.
• 4:57
  The
• 4:57
  other
• 4:57
  thing
• 4:58
  that
• 4:58
  they
• 4:58
  did
• 4:58
  as
• 4:58
  part
• 4:58
  of
• 4:58
  this
• 4:59
  announcement
• 4:59
  was
• 4:59
  they
• 5:00
  announced
• 5:00
  A
• 5:00
  few
• 5:00
  new,
• 5:01
  a
• 5:01
  few
• 5:01
  new
• 5:02
  seasons
• 5:02
  and
• 5:02
  series
• 5:02
  renewals.
• 5:03
  One
• 5:03
  of
• 5:04
  which
• 5:04
  as
• 5:04
  well
• 5:04
  was
• 5:05
  Trash
• 5:05
  Truck.
• 5:06
  So
• 5:06
  Trash
• 5:06
  Truck
• 5:07
  is
• 5:07
  a
• 5:07
  super
• 5:08
  soft
• 5:09
  preschool
• 5:09
  show,
• 5:10
  hasn't
• 5:10
  had
• 5:10
  new
• 5:10
  seasons
• 5:11
  since
• 5:11
  2021.
• 5:12
  And
• 5:14
  again,
• 5:14
  what
• 5:15
  I
• 5:15
  would
• 5:15
  consider
• 5:15
  like
• 5:15
  we
• 5:16
  can
• 5:16
  see
• 5:16
  from
• 5:16
  the
• 5:16
  Netflix
• 5:17
  data
• 5:17
  that
• 5:17
  there's,
• 5:18
  it's
• 5:18
  not
• 5:18
  like
• 5:18
  a
• 5:18
  top
• 5:19
  10
• 5:19
  season
• 5:19
  or
• 5:19
  anything
• 5:20
  series
• 5:20
  or
• 5:20
  anything
• 5:20
  like
• 5:21
  that.
• 5:21
  But
• 5:21
  there's,
• 5:22
  there's
• 5:22
  a
• 5:22
  buoyancy
• 5:22
  to
• 5:23
  it.
• 5:23
  Right.
• 5:23
  Like
• 5:23
  that.
• 5:23
  But
• 5:24
  it's
• 5:24
  hanging
• 5:24
  around.
• 5:25
  It's
• 5:25
  hanging
• 5:25
  around.
• 5:25
  You
• 5:26
  know
• 5:26
  when
• 5:26
  something's
• 5:27
  hanging
• 5:27
  around
• 5:27
  with
• 5:27
  no
• 5:28
  new
• 5:28
  content
• 5:28
  or
• 5:28
  no
• 5:29
  new
• 5:29
  activation,
• 5:30
  you
• 5:30
  have
• 5:30
  to
• 5:30
  pay
• 5:30
  attention
• 5:31
  to
• 5:31
  that.
• 5:31
  So
• 5:33
  yeah,
• 5:33
  just
• 5:34
  a
• 5:34
  really
• 5:34
  interesting
• 5:34
  one
• 5:35
  that
• 5:35
  they,
• 5:36
  that
• 5:36
  they,
• 5:36
  they
• 5:37
  brought
• 5:37
  this
• 5:37
  Netflix
• 5:38
  playground
• 5:38
  app.
• 5:38
  It's
• 5:39
  all
• 5:39
  of
• 5:39
  the,
• 5:39
  all
• 5:40
  of
• 5:40
  their
• 5:40
  gaming
• 5:40
  is
• 5:40
  no
• 5:41
  apps,
• 5:41
  sorry,
• 5:42
  no
• 5:42
  ads
• 5:42
  or
• 5:42
  in
• 5:42
  app
• 5:43
  purchases.
• 5:45
  The
• 5:45
  playground
• 5:46
  app
• 5:46
  definitely
• 5:46
  has
• 5:46
  a
• 5:46
  much
• 5:47
  more
• 5:47
  seamless
• 5:47
  integration
• 5:48
  with
• 5:48
  Netflix.
• 5:49
  You
• 5:49
  know,
• 5:50
  the
• 5:50
  login
• 5:50
  and
• 5:50
  stuff
• 5:51
  is
• 5:51
  a
• 5:51
  lot
• 5:51
  more
• 5:51
  seamless
• 5:53
  and
• 5:53
  you
• 5:53
  can,.
• 5:53
  And
• 5:53
  you
• 5:54
  can
• 5:54
  watch
• 5:54
  video
• 5:54
  content
• 5:55
  and
• 5:55
  play
• 5:55
  games
• 5:56
  all
• 5:56
  within
• 5:56
  the
• 5:56
  same
• 5:56
  app
• 5:57
  the
• 5:57
  moment.
• 5:57
  It's
• 5:57
  just,
• 5:58
  it's
• 5:58
  just
• 5:58
  games.
• 5:58
  I
• 5:59
  see.
• 5:59
  I
• 6:00
  picked
• 6:00
  up
• 6:00
  the
• 6:00
  release
• 6:01
  last
• 6:01
  week
• 6:01
  and
• 6:01
  I
• 6:01
  thought
• 6:02
  it
• 6:02
  must
• 6:02
  be
• 6:02
  both
• 6:03
  but
• 6:03
  actually
• 6:03
  it's
• 6:04
  just
• 6:04
  gaming.
• 6:04
  It's
• 6:04
  just
• 6:05
  gaming
• 6:05
  for
• 6:05
  now
• 6:05
  as
• 6:05
  far
• 6:05
  as
• 6:05
  I've
• 6:06
  seen.
• 6:07
  I
• 6:07
  did
• 6:07
  also
• 6:07
  think
• 6:07
  they
• 6:08
  were
• 6:08
  trolling
• 6:08
  me
• 6:08
  because
• 6:08
  they
• 6:09
  released
• 6:09
  it
• 6:09
  in
• 6:10
  the
• 6:10
  U.S.
• 6:10
  canada,
• 6:11
  the
• 6:11
  U.K.
• 6:11
  australia
• 6:12
  and
• 6:12
  New
• 6:12
  Zealand,
• 6:13
  but
• 6:13
  not
• 6:13
  Ireland.
• 6:14
  Yeah.
• 6:15
  So
• 6:15
  I
• 6:16
  mean
• 6:16
  there's
• 6:16
  probably
• 6:16
  a
• 6:17
  nerve
• 6:17
  center
• 6:17
  within,
• 6:18
  within
• 6:18
  Netflix
• 6:19
  going
• 6:19
  don't
• 6:19
  switch
• 6:20
  on
• 6:20
  the
• 6:20
  island
• 6:20
  yet.
• 6:21
  We're
• 6:21
  not
• 6:21
  quite
• 6:21
  ready
• 6:22
  for,
• 6:23
  we're
• 6:23
  not
• 6:23
  quite
• 6:23
  ready
• 6:23
  for
• 6:24
  Emily
• 6:24
  to
• 6:24
  really
• 6:25
  interrogate
• 6:26
  what's
• 6:26
  going
• 6:26
  on
• 6:26
  here.
• 6:27
  So
• 6:27
  hold
• 6:27
  back.
• 6:28
  Yeah,
• 6:28
  yeah,
• 6:29
  yeah.
• 6:29
  So
• 6:30
  I
• 6:30
  managed
• 6:30
  to
• 6:30
  get
• 6:30
  my,
• 6:31
  manage
• 6:31
  to
• 6:31
  get
• 6:31
  my
• 6:31
  mids
• 6:31
  on
• 6:32
  it.
• 6:32
  Netflix.
• 6:32
  You
• 6:32
  didn't,
• 6:32
  you
• 6:33
  didn't
• 6:33
  win
• 6:33
  this
• 6:33
  one
• 6:33
  but
• 6:34
  it's
• 6:34
  going
• 6:34
  to
• 6:34
  be
• 6:35
  available
• 6:35
  in
• 6:35
  the
• 6:36
  rest
• 6:36
  of
• 6:36
  the
• 6:36
  world
• 6:37
  later
• 6:37
  in
• 6:37
  the
• 6:37
  month.
• 6:38
  So.
• 6:38
  Yeah.
• 6:39
  And
• 6:39
  interesting,
• 6:39
  an
• 6:39
  interesting
• 6:40
  one.
• 6:40
  As
• 6:40
  I
• 6:40
  said,
• 6:40
  like
• 6:41
  I
• 6:41
  think
• 6:41
  it,
• 6:41
  it,
• 6:42
  you
• 6:42
  know,
• 6:42
  let's
• 6:43
  see.
• 6:43
  I
• 6:43
  think
• 6:44
  let's,
• 6:44
  particularly
• 6:44
  for
• 6:44
  bad
• 6:45
  dinosaurs,
• 6:45
  let's
• 6:45
  see
• 6:45
  if
• 6:46
  this
• 6:46
  like
• 6:46
  drives
• 6:47
  some
• 6:47
  more
• 6:47
  interest.
• 6:49
  Yeah.
• 6:50
  And
• 6:51
  you
• 6:51
  know,
• 6:51
  but
• 6:52
  I
• 6:52
  think
• 6:52
  it
• 6:52
  just,
• 6:53
  it
• 6:54
  underscores
• 6:54
  that
• 6:54
  Netflix
• 6:55
  are
• 6:55
  continuing
• 6:56
  to,
• 6:56
  they
• 6:56
  have
• 6:56
  continued
• 6:57
  momentum
• 6:57
  in
• 6:57
  what
• 6:58
  they're
• 6:58
  doing
• 6:58
  on
• 6:58
  gaming.
• 6:58
  They're
• 6:59
  not
• 6:59
  just,
• 6:59
  yeah,
• 7:00
  it's
• 7:00
  not
• 7:00
  just
• 7:00
  oh,
• 7:00
  we
• 7:01
  launched
• 7:01
  gaming
• 7:01
  and
• 7:01
  there
• 7:01
  it
• 7:02
  is.
• 7:02
  Let's
• 7:02
  see.
• 7:02
  It
• 7:02
  never,
• 7:03
  you
• 7:03
  know,
• 7:03
  it's,
• 7:04
  it's
• 7:04
  really
• 7:04
  kind
• 7:04
  of,
• 7:04
  it's,
• 7:05
  it's,
• 7:05
  it's
• 7:05
  forward
• 7:06
  facing
• 7:06
  in
• 7:06
  that
• 7:06
  kind
• 7:07
  of
• 7:07
  way.
• 7:08
  And
• 7:08
  do
• 7:08
  you
• 7:08
  think
• 7:09
  there's
• 7:09
  the
• 7:09
  potential
• 7:10
  for
• 7:10
  it
• 7:10
  to
• 7:10
  include
• 7:11
  Video
• 7:13
  to,
• 7:13
  to
• 7:13
  be
• 7:13
  a
• 7:13
  real
• 7:14
  kind
• 7:14
  of
• 7:14
  walled
• 7:14
  garden
• 7:15
  just
• 7:15
  for
• 7:15
  a
• 7:16
  kids
• 7:16
  audience.
• 7:16
  I
• 7:17
  thought
• 7:17
  so.
• 7:18
  And
• 7:19
  I,
• 7:20
  you
• 7:20
  know,
• 7:21
  when
• 7:21
  I
• 7:21
  saw
• 7:21
  the
• 7:21
  announcement
• 7:22
  I
• 7:22
  thought,
• 7:22
  oh
• 7:22
  my
• 7:22
  gosh,
• 7:23
  is
• 7:23
  this
• 7:23
  like
• 7:23
  the
• 7:24
  answer
• 7:24
  to
• 7:24
  YouTube
• 7:24
  kids?
• 7:25
  Right?
• 7:25
  Like,
• 7:25
  is
• 7:25
  this
• 7:25
  a,
• 7:26
  a
• 7:26
  walled
• 7:26
  garden
• 7:27
  fully
• 7:28
  curated
• 7:28
  answer
• 7:28
  to
• 7:28
  YouTube
• 7:29
  Kids
• 7:32
  at
• 7:33
  the
• 7:33
  moment?
• 7:33
  I'm
• 7:33
  not
• 7:33
  seeing
• 7:34
  video
• 7:34
  content
• 7:34
  streaming
• 7:35
  in
• 7:35
  there
• 7:35
  and
• 7:36
  I
• 7:36
  don't
• 7:36
  know
• 7:36
  that.
• 7:36
  You
• 7:37
  know,
• 7:37
  I
• 7:37
  think
• 7:37
  it
• 7:37
  depends.
• 7:37
  Like,
• 7:38
  I've
• 7:38
  had
• 7:38
  feedback
• 7:38
  from
• 7:38
  other
• 7:38
  parents,
• 7:39
  you
• 7:39
  know,
• 7:39
  the
• 7:40
  people
• 7:40
  I'm
• 7:40
  working
• 7:40
  with,
• 7:40
  this,
• 7:41
  on
• 7:41
  this
• 7:41
  with
• 7:41
  who
• 7:41
  are
• 7:42
  parents
• 7:42
  who've
• 7:42
  said,
• 7:42
  you
• 7:43
  know,
• 7:44
  if
• 7:44
  I
• 7:44
  want,
• 7:44
  if,
• 7:45
  if
• 7:45
  I
• 7:45
  want
• 7:45
  my
• 7:45
  kid
• 7:45
  playing
• 7:45
  games,
• 7:46
  I
• 7:46
  want
• 7:46
  them
• 7:46
  playing
• 7:46
  games.
• 7:46
  If
• 7:47
  I
• 7:47
  want
• 7:47
  them
• 7:47
  watching
• 7:47
  video,
• 7:47
  I
• 7:47
  want
• 7:47
  them
• 7:48
  watching
• 7:48
  video.
• 7:48
  I
• 7:48
  don't
• 7:48
  necessarily
• 7:49
  want
• 7:49
  them
• 7:49
  to
• 7:50
  like,
• 7:50
  like
• 7:51
  kids
• 7:51
  of
• 7:51
  that
• 7:51
  age
• 7:52
  to
• 7:52
  just.
• 7:53
  Completely
• 7:53
  flow,
• 7:54
  to
• 7:54
  move
• 7:55
  seamlessly
• 7:55
  between
• 7:55
  the
• 7:56
  two.
• 7:56
  Okay.
• 7:57
  You
• 7:57
  know,
• 7:59
  take
• 7:59
  like
• 7:59
  certain
• 8:00
  things
• 8:00
  and
• 8:00
  some
• 8:00
  of
• 8:00
  the
• 8:00
  gaming
• 8:01
  in
• 8:01
  this
• 8:01
  is
• 8:01
  really
• 8:02
  sweet
• 8:02
  and
• 8:02
  slow.
• 8:03
  Right.
• 8:03
  Like,
• 8:03
  so
• 8:03
  they
• 8:03
  have
• 8:03
  like
• 8:04
  jigsaw
• 8:04
  puzzles,
• 8:05
  they
• 8:05
  have
• 8:05
  like
• 8:05
  coloring.
• 8:06
  Right.
• 8:06
  Like
• 8:06
  it's,
• 8:07
  it's,
• 8:08
  you
• 8:08
  know,
• 8:08
  it's
• 8:08
  just
• 8:08
  digital
• 8:09
  iteration
• 8:09
  of
• 8:09
  the
• 8:09
  types
• 8:10
  of
• 8:10
  things
• 8:10
  that
• 8:10
  kids
• 8:10
  would
• 8:10
  be
• 8:11
  doing
• 8:11
  anyway.
• 8:13
  So.
• 8:13
  Yeah,
• 8:13
  I
• 8:13
  don't
• 8:13
  know.
• 8:14
  I'm,
• 8:14
  I'm
• 8:14
  a
• 8:14
  little
• 8:15
  bit
• 8:15
  on
• 8:15
  the
• 8:15
  fence
• 8:15
  as
• 8:15
  to,
• 8:16
  I'm
• 8:16
  not
• 8:16
  saying
• 8:16
  yes
• 8:17
  or
• 8:17
  I'm
• 8:17
  not
• 8:17
  saying
• 8:17
  no
• 8:17
  that
• 8:17
  whether
• 8:18
  it
• 8:18
  be
• 8:18
  a
• 8:18
  good
• 8:18
  thing
• 8:18
  or
• 8:18
  a
• 8:18
  bad
• 8:18
  thing,
• 8:20
  but
• 8:21
  you
• 8:21
  know,
• 8:21
  from,
• 8:21
  from
• 8:22
  a
• 8:22
  user's
• 8:22
  perspective.
• 8:23
  But
• 8:23
  it's,
• 8:25
  it
• 8:25
  is
• 8:25
  definitely
• 8:25
  that
• 8:26
  kind
• 8:26
  of.
• 8:26
  It's
• 8:27
  like
• 8:27
  at
• 8:27
  one
• 8:27
  stage
• 8:27
  I
• 8:27
  was
• 8:27
  thinking,
• 8:28
  God,
• 8:28
  you
• 8:28
  know,
• 8:28
  if
• 8:28
  somebody
• 8:29
  really
• 8:29
  went
• 8:29
  for
• 8:30
  a
• 8:31
  safe
• 8:31
  environment
• 8:32
  for
• 8:32
  kids,
• 8:32
  digital
• 8:33
  media,
• 8:33
  then
• 8:35
  that
• 8:35
  could
• 8:35
  really
• 8:35
  make
• 8:36
  an
• 8:36
  answer
• 8:36
  to
• 8:36
  YouTube
• 8:36
  kids.
• 8:37
  Because
• 8:37
  YouTube
• 8:37
  kids.
• 8:38
  Yeah.
• 8:39
  Is
• 8:39
  still
• 8:40
  algorithmically
• 8:41
  curated
• 8:42
  at
• 8:42
  times.
• 8:42
  And
• 8:42
  there's
• 8:43
  a
• 8:43
  lot
• 8:43
  of,
• 8:44
  you
• 8:44
  know,
• 8:44
  there's,
• 8:46
  there's
• 8:46
  obviously
• 8:46
  some
• 8:46
  great
• 8:47
  brands
• 8:47
  on
• 8:47
  there,
• 8:47
  but
• 8:47
  there's
• 8:47
  also
• 8:48
  a
• 8:48
  lot
• 8:48
  of
• 8:48
  stuff
• 8:49
  that's
• 8:49
  not
• 8:49
  of
• 8:49
  high
• 8:49
  quality
• 8:50
  on
• 8:50
  there
• 8:50
  as
• 8:50
  well.
• 8:51
  And
• 8:51
  totally
• 8:52
  it
• 8:52
  feels
• 8:52
  like
• 8:52
  there's
• 8:53
  an
• 8:53
  opportunity
• 8:53
  there.
• 8:53
  Yeah,
• 8:54
  it's,
• 8:54
  I'm
• 8:54
  not
• 8:54
  just
• 8:54
  talking
• 8:55
  about
• 8:55
  some
• 8:55
  stuff
• 8:55
  that
• 8:55
  leaks
• 8:56
  through.
• 8:56
  I
• 8:56
  mean
• 8:56
  like
• 8:56
  there's
• 8:57
  kind
• 8:57
  of.
• 8:57
  Yeah,
• 8:58
  yeah.
• 8:58
  It's
• 8:59
  just,
• 8:59
  it's
• 8:59
  YouTube
• 8:59
  style
• 9:00
  content,
• 9:01
  some
• 9:01
  of
• 9:01
  which
• 9:01
  is,
• 9:02
  is
• 9:02
  not
• 9:02
  as
• 9:03
  wholesome
• 9:03
  or
• 9:04
  healthy
• 9:04
  or
• 9:04
  nutritious.
• 9:06
  Yeah.
• 9:07
  So
• 9:07
  we'll
• 9:07
  see
• 9:07
  how
• 9:07
  it
• 9:07
  goes.
• 9:08
  We'll
• 9:08
  be
• 9:08
  talking
• 9:08
  development
• 9:09
  developments
• 9:09
  on
• 9:09
  it
• 9:10
  anyway
• 9:10
  within
• 9:10
  the,
• 9:10
  the
• 9:11
  Netflix
• 9:11
  report.
• 9:13
  Great.
• 9:14
  That
• 9:14
  was,
• 9:15
  that's
• 9:15
  really
• 9:15
  interesting
• 9:15
  one
• 9:16
  to
• 9:16
  keep
• 9:16
  an
• 9:16
  eye
• 9:16
  on.
• 9:17
  Awesome.
• 9:18
  Great.
• 9:19
  Thanks
• 9:19
  Emily.
• 9:20
  Okay,
• 9:21
  do
• 9:21
  the
• 9:21
  sign
• 9:21
  off,
• 9:21
  Andy.
• 9:22
  Okay,
• 9:23
  so
• 9:23
  I
• 9:24
  hope
• 9:24
  you
• 9:24
  enjoyed
• 9:25
  listening
• 9:25
  to
• 9:25
  that
• 9:26
  chat
• 9:27
  and
• 9:27
  that
• 9:27
  burnish
• 9:27
  episode
• 9:28
  and
• 9:29
  please
• 9:29
