- 0:02Speaker 1: You know how crazy we sound when we laugh at
- 0:04Speaker 1: one point five speed? Yeah, like nah, we sound like SpongeBob.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well like gay podcasters in general, like trying to listen
- 0:13Speaker 1: to them at one point five speed is like insane. Yeah,
- 0:15Speaker 1: you're taking your life and your ear drums in your hands.
- 0:19Speaker 1: She's she a me, no me, not on my mate? Yo?
- 0:25Speaker 1: Yo yo? What is your child? Edged brother? Yo? I'm
- 0:35Speaker 1: going down before like usually so. Welcome to Like a Virgin,
- 0:48Speaker 1: the show where we give yesterday's pop culture today's takes.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm Rosalind Fran Toronto, and we are recording this a
- 0:57Speaker 1: lot earlier than we normally do be because Franny, what
- 1:02Speaker 1: are you doing next? My friend Laurel Laurel Charleston, if
- 1:09Speaker 1: you don't follow her, she's an amazing, amazing at MUA
- 1:12Speaker 1: and a friend of Rosin I my and a friend
- 1:15Speaker 1: of Roseen. I. One day I'll learn how to speak English.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Scammed us into a Virgin Cruise Line cruise leaving from
- 1:23Speaker 1: Miami next week. Thank you for being honest. Yeah, brand
- 1:26Speaker 1: strong Virgin. Yeah not just a Virgin cruise, a Virgin
- 1:29Speaker 1: cruise where children are not allowed, which I love. Oh
- 1:32Speaker 1: thank god, oh thanks and more importantly, a cruise that
- 1:36Speaker 1: I don't have to really pay for, because I think
- 1:38Speaker 1: cruises are kind of disgusting and I would never really
- 1:41Speaker 1: want to pay for one. Well, I hope you have
- 1:43Speaker 1: a lot of fun on your cruise. I haven't been
- 1:47Speaker 1: on a cruise in a long time, but we used
- 1:48Speaker 1: to go on them a lot when I was a teenager.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And in fact, I lost my virginity on a cruise,
- 1:53Speaker 1: which I do think we've talked about on this podcast before.
- 1:55Speaker 1: God that you lost your virginity in maritime law at sea. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:03Speaker 1: I lost my virginity in the Bermuda Triangle. I'm gonna
- 2:05Speaker 1: lose my tucking panty virginity because I've actually never worn
- 2:10Speaker 1: tucking panties before, and um, Laurel is bringing me some
- 2:13Speaker 1: for for a little you're tucking on the cruise, I'm
- 2:16Speaker 1: gonna you're tucking at sea. I'm tucking at sea for
- 2:19Speaker 1: the tan line. Most importantly, I think that that is
- 2:21Speaker 1: kind of gonna. I mean, I'm obviously I'm bringing like
- 2:23Speaker 1: six spading suits, but one of them is a tucking
- 2:28Speaker 1: panty specifically for tanning. Um, and I actually, yeah, I've
- 2:31Speaker 1: never had one before. Not that everyone should wear them,
- 2:34Speaker 1: but I was just like, you know, one of swaffed
- 2:36Speaker 1: in quint um. Yeah, we would be amazing on a
- 2:38Speaker 1: Virgin cruise line together, like the Virgin brand, so strong,
- 2:43Speaker 1: Virgin slide into our dms. Come on, let's should we
- 2:46Speaker 1: do a show at Actually, actually, my my, I'm one
- 2:51Speaker 1: of those gay cruises. My sisters were trying to get
- 2:54Speaker 1: me to go on a cruise with them for their
- 2:55Speaker 1: twenty first birthday later this year, and I like truly
- 3:00Speaker 1: have no desire to go on a cruise again. Listen,
- 3:03Speaker 1: I'm not judging you. I'm so excited for you. I
- 3:05Speaker 1: hope you're going to have but like, especially post COVID
- 3:08Speaker 1: for years after code, I really I really don't want
- 3:13Speaker 1: to be stuck on a boat somewhere ye like full
- 3:18Speaker 1: of you know, shrimp and um like well liquor. That
- 3:24Speaker 1: will be exactly the vibe. I'm I'm there for the
- 3:27Speaker 1: Tan Diva and I will get one um because you
- 3:30Speaker 1: can only get a tan at sea. Yes true? Um,
- 3:34Speaker 1: wait what what if we did a show at sea? What?
- 3:36Speaker 1: What what would we do it on? Would it be
- 3:38Speaker 1: um aquamarine or wait what what splash? Oh? Yeah we
- 3:43Speaker 1: could we could finally do our splash episode. We would
- 3:46Speaker 1: do a whole weird We would do like a couple
- 3:49Speaker 1: of nights on the boat. I'm assuming and um unless
- 3:53Speaker 1: we're just helicoptered in for one night. Um. And so
- 3:56Speaker 1: we would do sort of like thematic grouping of of
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know, like see adjacent topics. Yeah. Oh, you would
- 4:06Speaker 1: finally have to watch Mamma Mia and we would do
- 4:08Speaker 1: Mamma mea. That's not a CE movie. It's an island. Well,
- 4:11Speaker 1: it takes place on an island one in the middle.
- 4:14Speaker 1: On this island, you would say, would you say you
- 4:21Speaker 1: find a tree? Do you see with mangoes? Okay? Anyways,
- 4:24Speaker 1: um okay, wait, speaking of once on this island, though,
- 4:27Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you I saw a musical last okay,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but I don't think you are familiar with at all. Um.
- 4:37Speaker 1: So I went to kind of last minute went to
- 4:41Speaker 1: the concert with the original Broadway cast of Ragtime. M
- 4:47Speaker 1: It was a one night only event. It was supposed
- 4:48Speaker 1: to happen in twenty twenty, but was pushed back because
- 4:52Speaker 1: of the pandemic. My brother had gotten tickets because Ragtime
- 4:55Speaker 1: is his favorite show ever, and then his friend couldn't go.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Last minutes have you invited me, which was very very
- 5:01Speaker 1: sweet of him, and so I love Radtime, but I
- 5:05Speaker 1: also have a lot of trauma associated with it because
- 5:08Speaker 1: it was one of our mainstage shows when I was
- 5:11Speaker 1: in high school and I wasn't cast in it and
- 5:14Speaker 1: I really wanted to be, and so I have a
- 5:16Speaker 1: lot of feelings around it. But I also did dare
- 5:21Speaker 1: I ask? I mean, I mean, like the trans answer
- 5:25Speaker 1: is mother or Evelyn Nesbit or maybe Emma Goldman Um. Yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I could see myself as I'm a Goldman Um. What's
- 5:33Speaker 1: exactly the kind of premise? So Radtime is based on
- 5:38Speaker 1: a novel which takes place in the early twentieth century,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and it is about a bunch of different classes and
- 5:48Speaker 1: societies of people having to sort of interact, which is,
- 5:52Speaker 1: you know, like white society, um, the like Harlem society
- 5:58Speaker 1: which was had sort of like congregated around rag music
- 6:03Speaker 1: in the early nineteen hundreds, and then also Eastern European
- 6:07Speaker 1: immigrant who were living in tenement houses on the Lower
- 6:09Speaker 1: East Side, and how they all sort of come together.
- 6:13Speaker 1: And it's like incredibly like epic and emotional and has
- 6:19Speaker 1: some of the best music in musical theater history. And
- 6:25Speaker 1: the cast has some like true Broadway divas in it.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Marin Mazzi, who has passed, played mother. Audra McDonald plays Sarah,
- 6:37Speaker 1: who has some incredible songs like your Daddy's son. As
- 6:40Speaker 1: I said in our Patreon episode, Uncle Frank from Succession
- 6:45Speaker 1: is Tatteh. Also, Liam Shell was in the original Broadway
- 6:49Speaker 1: caste Girl, and so I knew going into it that
- 6:56Speaker 1: she wasn't playing the little girl. They had an actual
- 6:59Speaker 1: they had children playing the children's roles. But it was incredible.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I cried so much. Um, it was very it was
- 7:05Speaker 1: a very like who's who of like New York Broadway
- 7:09Speaker 1: people there and also just like you know, people who
- 7:12Speaker 1: you would expect to be at something like that. Um,
- 7:14Speaker 1: Michael Cores was there, which was It did get kind
- 7:18Speaker 1: of annoying that like there were there were so many
- 7:22Speaker 1: standing ovations throughout the show, and like at a certain
- 7:25Speaker 1: point it was like, okay, can we can we get
- 7:27Speaker 1: this moving? To get back to standing ovations are honestly,
- 7:31Speaker 1: at at a certain point they become a new sense. Yes, yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 1: because it's a long long you can never go to
- 7:38Speaker 1: can can where they like stand and clap for like
- 7:41Speaker 1: eleven minutes or whatever. You'd be like your uber is
- 7:43Speaker 1: called yeah no no, yeah, I'm out of the building.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm one of those people who leaves like before before
- 7:51Speaker 1: before the curtain, Yeah, before the curtain. Gall absolutely, Um,
- 7:55Speaker 1: you really be go into the theater. If there's one
- 7:58Speaker 1: thing you gotta do, it's you know, people always ask
- 8:01Speaker 1: me if I want to go see shows, and I
- 8:02Speaker 1: pretty much unanimously say no unless the ticket is it's free,
- 8:07Speaker 1: like unanimously me missusing the word unanimously by the way. Um,
- 8:11Speaker 1: I don't have the patience to sit through life theater
- 8:13Speaker 1: and unless i'm my legs are so big, honey, my
- 8:18Speaker 1: arms on this arm you really are crammed into those
- 8:22Speaker 1: sitting like the hunchback on Notre Dame. The lady behind
- 8:26Speaker 1: me getting mad at me because my coat is too
- 8:28Speaker 1: big and it's on her knees. Please, I can't, I can't,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I can't. Um. But if it's a show that I
- 8:34Speaker 1: love seeing theater, send row I love seeing theater and um,
- 8:38Speaker 1: any you know publicists who are listening who want to
- 8:41Speaker 1: see I love seeing, free love seeing, please please send
- 8:46Speaker 1: us the tickets. We will gladly go. Unless it's Haiti
- 8:50Speaker 1: Haities town. I'm never seeing Oh my god. Um okay,
- 8:56Speaker 1: well I don't have a transition. I'm so sorry. My
- 8:59Speaker 1: brain is just totally okay you want to talk about
- 9:04Speaker 1: my brain is not honestly the honestly the way we
- 9:07Speaker 1: do transitions on this podcast in general. I mean, like,
- 9:10Speaker 1: like you know, content transitions. Um, I feel like they're
- 9:14Speaker 1: not gender um are honestly, Like, it's just it's always
- 9:19Speaker 1: hit our miss and the hits are from bros. And
- 9:21Speaker 1: the missus are from me. And that's just like my
- 9:25Speaker 1: transitions are. Like. So what we're going to talk about
- 9:28Speaker 1: next is like that's gonna be how I do it, um,
- 9:32Speaker 1: Because the thing is, we are here today recording on
- 9:35Speaker 1: Transgender Day of Visibility, even though the podcast is not
- 9:38Speaker 1: being released on Transgender Day of visible Oh it's oh,
- 9:40Speaker 1: it's visibility, today's visibility. Not remembering it might be vengeance, visibility, vivaciousness,
- 9:50Speaker 1: trans Day of something or trans Day of something. Um
- 9:52Speaker 1: and um um. Did you see that Lizzo is releasing
- 9:57Speaker 1: um binders and tucking panties in her shapewear brand Yiddy,
- 10:01Speaker 1: which is the worst name for a shapeer brand ever,
- 10:03Speaker 1: No tell me more, Okay, I mean Yitty is the
- 10:07Speaker 1: shapewear brand that Lizzo launched to compete with Skims, which
- 10:10Speaker 1: is like awesome and like if anybody's going to do that,
- 10:12Speaker 1: like Lizzio can do it right whatever, And but also
- 10:16Speaker 1: team Skims seem Skims sorry is an excellent product. We
- 10:19Speaker 1: are a pro Skims podcast and we are yes, we
- 10:22Speaker 1: are a Skimming e stuff. And if you and if
- 10:24Speaker 1: you have a problem with that, prove us wrong, prove
- 10:28Speaker 1: us wrong, try on the garment, period, Try on the garment.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Tell us wrong, Lizzo, Lizzo, send us some fucking under
- 10:34Speaker 1: and we'll we'll see if you can stand up to Kim. Yeah. Period.
- 10:40Speaker 1: And I and I think that when I actually saw
- 10:42Speaker 1: this announcement, I was like genuinely excited because I was like, oh,
- 10:46Speaker 1: she's actually like you know, I kind of trusted her
- 10:48Speaker 1: a little bit to do something like this, even though
- 10:51Speaker 1: it should be you know, it wasn't perfect, but I
- 10:53Speaker 1: was like, Okay, maybe this is something. And then I
- 10:55Speaker 1: saw this image and this image like of the campaign
- 11:00Speaker 1: is so like everyone in the image looks bad except
- 11:03Speaker 1: for Lizzo, and their makeup is like not right, and
- 11:08Speaker 1: this tucking panty is like not like styled like you know,
- 11:13Speaker 1: big like kind of like bikini strap styled. It's like
- 11:17Speaker 1: styled like a Calvin Kleine you know why line boxer.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And it's like it just smelt immediately, and I was like,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I'm not really sure what I'm seeing, but like I
- 11:28Speaker 1: feel like, I mean, you know me, I'm like so
- 11:31Speaker 1: um ansty about like queer trans like Pride campaign stuff
- 11:35Speaker 1: like that. I've been looking at them for eons and
- 11:37Speaker 1: so like I have like a sixth sense for stuff
- 11:40Speaker 1: like this, but um, yeah, and smell is one of
- 11:44Speaker 1: the fives. Smell yes, you're right, I use my fifth
- 11:49Speaker 1: sense and lo and behold. Like Later that night, Zachary
- 11:52Speaker 1: Drucker tweeted I think on behalf of your Body coast,
- 11:55Speaker 1: saying that there's this awesome shapewear brand and binder company
- 11:59Speaker 1: called your Body that Lizzo's company ordered a full size
- 12:03Speaker 1: run from a year ago, didn't like reach out to
- 12:07Speaker 1: the actual brand until a year later, had one meeting,
- 12:10Speaker 1: they saw no trans people on their team, and then
- 12:13Speaker 1: all of a sudden, this brand, this new Yiddi brand,
- 12:16Speaker 1: was arrived without any help from trans people at all, apparently.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And so I think that you know a lot of
- 12:22Speaker 1: the things that I thought were, you know, happening in
- 12:24Speaker 1: this image were happening in this image. And it's just
- 12:27Speaker 1: frustrating because like you and I talked about the Lisso
- 12:30Speaker 1: album momentarily last year, and this one song that she
- 12:33Speaker 1: had called Everybody's Gay, which I found extremely annoying in
- 12:39Speaker 1: a canon of kind of like quasi gay anthems, and
- 12:42Speaker 1: which I did not listen to. Yeah, yeah, And it's
- 12:45Speaker 1: just like things like that where I'm just like, actually, like,
- 12:48Speaker 1: you have all the tools to do this right and
- 12:51Speaker 1: you didn't. And I guess I'm not surprised because capitalism
- 12:56Speaker 1: is like that and a list celebrities are terrible, their
- 12:58Speaker 1: teams are terrible. People bowl because they have to be
- 13:01Speaker 1: for some reason. But yeah, I don't know. It just
- 13:04Speaker 1: made me so mad, Rose, I don't even know why
- 13:06Speaker 1: it made me so mad. I'm like so mad. Well,
- 13:10Speaker 1: I I get I get why you're mad, Like if
- 13:13Speaker 1: this is not something I would get mad about, like
- 13:15Speaker 1: even though I do think it is objectively something that sucks,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I get why you're mad, and I get why someone
- 13:21Speaker 1: who I get why anyone would be mad because I
- 13:24Speaker 1: think you're right, Like Lizzo is someone who presents herself
- 13:28Speaker 1: as like being of the people and you know, like
- 13:31Speaker 1: a champion of people who mainstream culture often leaves out,
- 13:36Speaker 1: and so for her to do so so explicitly like
- 13:41Speaker 1: this like is stinky YEA A part of me wants
- 13:46Speaker 1: to say, like it is still great that Lizzo made
- 13:50Speaker 1: this line for queer and trans people. But then like
- 13:54Speaker 1: the flip side of that is like it's just a
- 13:56Speaker 1: it's just a product. It's just a market for her
- 13:59Speaker 1: to reach, Like there's no, there's no like, it's not
- 14:02Speaker 1: she's not like some like Champion four, you know, like
- 14:06Speaker 1: diversity and inclusion by doing that, she's just trying to
- 14:08Speaker 1: make more money. Um. And that's the thing is like
- 14:11Speaker 1: this conversation does like doesn't even need to be about Lizzo, right,
- 14:15Speaker 1: Like it's it's we don't look to like our A
- 14:18Speaker 1: list celebrities to be like you know, moral ethical centers
- 14:21Speaker 1: and like people that are perfect at doing everything or whatever,
- 14:25Speaker 1: like I don't really care about I don't care about
- 14:28Speaker 1: a lot of things, um and and just with something
- 14:31Speaker 1: like this, it's just like so it's so ick and
- 14:34Speaker 1: I think that part of like what I feel like
- 14:37Speaker 1: I want to talk about it is like most trans
- 14:39Speaker 1: underwear is like not even that good, you know, Like no,
- 14:44Speaker 1: I mean I don't. Brands are like there's such a
- 14:47Speaker 1: limited availability and they're all owned and run by trans people,
- 14:51Speaker 1: which is awesome, but like they're like the smallest number
- 14:54Speaker 1: of styles and no color options. And you know, I
- 14:58Speaker 1: don't even use like I just I just tuck in
- 15:01Speaker 1: regular underwear, like I don't use trans specific underwear. Yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I mean, like I also talk in regular underwear depending
- 15:10Speaker 1: on like what the occasion is or whatever. And but
- 15:12Speaker 1: you know, for binders and other things, it's like there
- 15:15Speaker 1: are reasons why people you know, need or want this
- 15:18Speaker 1: underweard depending on what they're wearing. And it's like, I
- 15:20Speaker 1: this is an untapped market. That's like why I'm so mad.
- 15:23Speaker 1: It's like there's just a way to do this right,
- 15:26Speaker 1: to make you can make tons of money and also
- 15:28Speaker 1: get that money in the hands of trans people or
- 15:30Speaker 1: like have trans people be your lateral collaborators on something.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And like yeah, and I just like wish underwear was
- 15:36Speaker 1: cute like for trans people. We're just we were just
- 15:38Speaker 1: talking about Laudree and our Patreon the other day. Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 1: I mean I do think what this all comes comes
- 15:44Speaker 1: back to is like you you simply just can't look
- 15:48Speaker 1: to capitalism to like be ethical and inclusive and like
- 15:53Speaker 1: make you like feel good about your gender, your community
- 15:57Speaker 1: or whatever. It just it it does work. No, no,
- 16:01Speaker 1: but it. But what I what we can do even
- 16:04Speaker 1: if we can't look to capitalism to be these like solutions,
- 16:07Speaker 1: we can hold like those that are the arbiters of
- 16:11Speaker 1: our capital world to higher standards because that does work,
- 16:15Speaker 1: you know. And I feel like part of the organizing
- 16:18Speaker 1: that's happening rather or by organizing, I mean like I'm
- 16:21Speaker 1: dming diet product and like Zachary Chuggar, and like, I
- 16:24Speaker 1: just feel like there there's reasons why stories like these
- 16:27Speaker 1: need to be blown up, and like I feel like
- 16:29Speaker 1: you should make a TikTok about it. I should make
- 16:31Speaker 1: a TikTok about it. Actually, I um, Okay, we've talked
- 16:34Speaker 1: about this for too long. I really want to talk
- 16:36Speaker 1: about swarm. Okay, that's the that's the show with Billy Eilish, right, Yes,
- 16:40Speaker 1: it's the show with Billie Eilish. And I know that
- 16:43Speaker 1: it's a bit reductive to say the show with Billy Eilish,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but um, Billy Eilish, Yeah, yeah, A show with Dominic
- 16:51Speaker 1: Fishback obviously of course as well, Um yeah, I I
- 16:56Speaker 1: uh do. I'll give you the loose premise because I
- 16:59Speaker 1: don't really think the log lines for this show are
- 17:02Speaker 1: kind of like, you know, I don't think people are
- 17:05Speaker 1: properly describing the show. The show is about a serial
- 17:10Speaker 1: killer who is also mentally ill, and her kind of
- 17:17Speaker 1: illness and her compulsion kind of reaches a peak in
- 17:21Speaker 1: the first episode when something happens to her sister. I
- 17:24Speaker 1: guess I won't. I'll try and not spill it. Something
- 17:26Speaker 1: happens to her sister that really traumatizes her, and it
- 17:29Speaker 1: sends her on a kind of vengeance killing spree, and
- 17:32Speaker 1: she starts to kill people that wrong or bad mouth
- 17:37Speaker 1: this pop idol that she loves named Nija, who is
- 17:42Speaker 1: a kind of cipher for Beyonce because like the swarm,
- 17:45Speaker 1: the beehive whatever. There's also a trope we're in dominating.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Fishback's character bites Nisa at some point, like Allah the
- 17:53Speaker 1: woman that bit Beyonce. Do you remember that story? Yeah?
- 18:00Speaker 1: But you know the movie the movie the show I've
- 18:03Speaker 1: only I've only watched like the first I think four episodes,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and the show like is actually really stunning, great drama.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Dominique Fishback is incredible, and I think it's just across
- 18:14Speaker 1: the board incredibly active. Chloe Bailey is so fucking good,
- 18:19Speaker 1: but the show kind of forgot to have fun. I
- 18:23Speaker 1: think it's it's so dark, but the premise is so
- 18:28Speaker 1: kind of silly, like it's it is actually like so
- 18:32Speaker 1: so silly that she's killing a lot of the people
- 18:35Speaker 1: that she's killing and because her motives aren't really clear
- 18:38Speaker 1: at all. To me, comedy would have been the kind
- 18:41Speaker 1: of motive. And the show is otherwise like very funny,
- 18:44Speaker 1: has great jokes, like a great sense of humor, and
- 18:46Speaker 1: I was like, why didn't they lean in with the
- 18:48Speaker 1: murder stuff? Because I think what a lot of what
- 18:52Speaker 1: the show is trying to accomplish, And this is kind
- 18:54Speaker 1: of where I was thinking about you Rose is like
- 18:57Speaker 1: this kind of girl bossification of like the series murderous
- 19:00Speaker 1: story or like the Bad Girl's story. Um, whether it's
- 19:03Speaker 1: like Gone Girl or like I think a better a
- 19:06Speaker 1: much better example is I care a lot. Do you
- 19:08Speaker 1: remember that movie on Netflix and how like it was
- 19:12Speaker 1: like it had everything, like we were like, oh, this
- 19:14Speaker 1: is gonna be so cool, and we watched it we
- 19:16Speaker 1: were like there was nothing to root for for that
- 19:19Speaker 1: that that care. They forgot to have fun completely and
- 19:22Speaker 1: there was no wait, speak for yourself. I loved I care,
- 19:25Speaker 1: you loved I care a lot? Yeah I did. I
- 19:28Speaker 1: don't understand. I thought it was so fun. I don't. Okay, well,
- 19:32Speaker 1: maybe you'll love Swarm because like, I'm not going to
- 19:35Speaker 1: watch I think that it was like it was overwritten
- 19:38Speaker 1: and underwritten, you know, like it it there was so
- 19:41Speaker 1: much spinning out from this like traumatic event that happened
- 19:45Speaker 1: in the first episode, and yet her killing spree, and
- 19:48Speaker 1: yet and the show and yet the show is trying
- 19:50Speaker 1: to say something about stand um very specifically that it's
- 19:54Speaker 1: not actually saying, like the show really doesn't commentate on
- 19:58Speaker 1: standum or how to oxyx stands are. This woman isn't
- 20:02Speaker 1: killing people because she's a stand. She's killing people because
- 20:05Speaker 1: she's like mentally ill. And I could believe a story
- 20:10Speaker 1: where someone kills because they're a stand and that, but
- 20:13Speaker 1: that just like wasn't what was laid out. You know,
- 20:17Speaker 1: who is Billy in all of this? Okay? So it
- 20:20Speaker 1: kind of it's a little poker facy and that the
- 20:22Speaker 1: episodic nature is her running across the country and killing people,
- 20:27Speaker 1: you know, in little kind of like scenes one by one,
- 20:30Speaker 1: and one of these episodes involves a kind of white
- 20:33Speaker 1: woman wellness cults that sets up camp outside of Bonnaroo
- 20:38Speaker 1: every year Bonnaroo every year that's run by a one
- 20:40Speaker 1: Billie Eilish, who plays a sinisterly sweet, understated forgive me
- 20:46Speaker 1: Sydney Sweeney esque kind of like cult leader person, really
- 20:54Speaker 1: well acted, precise, like very understated. I was so surprised
- 20:59Speaker 1: by what Billy brought um and very gaggy end to
- 21:02Speaker 1: the episode as well. But um, yeah, Billy is really
- 21:06Speaker 1: really good. She plays as cult leader that kind of
- 21:08Speaker 1: usurps Dominic Fishback momentarily, who you know, is trying to
- 21:12Speaker 1: make sense of these murders that she has been committing
- 21:15Speaker 1: without like really knowing why she's committing them or you
- 21:18Speaker 1: know what, what's going to happen next, and Billy's like
- 21:20Speaker 1: trying to be her mentor and like help her through this.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Um is the show gay? Yes? It is? I mean
- 21:28Speaker 1: it's it could be gayer because she the thing is
- 21:31Speaker 1: Dominic Fishback was obviously everything could be gay. So Dominice
- 21:34Speaker 1: Fishback's sister quote unquote is not her biological sister. She
- 21:38Speaker 1: was like taken in I think from a fought like
- 21:41Speaker 1: her friend Chloe Bailey. Basically her parents like fostered in
- 21:45Speaker 1: Dominique Fishback, So they're not biological sisters, but they're still
- 21:49Speaker 1: you know, sister sisters. And it's very clear that that
- 21:53Speaker 1: Dominique Fishback is in love with Chloe Bailey, her best
- 21:56Speaker 1: friend slash sister you know, and um love some pseudo incests, yes,
- 22:01Speaker 1: but it's never really clearly pseudo lesbian in fact. Yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 1: I assume that this is going to be something that
- 22:07Speaker 1: comes to fusion towards the end, so maybe I'll have
- 22:09Speaker 1: another like recap after, but like it is, Oh, it's
- 22:12Speaker 1: not all out, No, it is all out. I just
- 22:14Speaker 1: haven't watched it all. Yeah, I don't know. I just like,
- 22:18Speaker 1: for me, it's just like I think that there there
- 22:20Speaker 1: was just like such a cool premise in in this show,
- 22:23Speaker 1: like Murderous stand Um. I think it's really interesting and
- 22:29Speaker 1: funny and fun, but I don't think the show is
- 22:31Speaker 1: really having all that much fun. And the main character's
- 22:34Speaker 1: motives are like kind of much like I care a lot,
- 22:38Speaker 1: it's just like I actually don't really have I don't
- 22:40Speaker 1: understand your sociopathy and at the very least like you could,
- 22:44Speaker 1: like Dominique is making it complex with her acting, but
- 22:48Speaker 1: the writing isn't really making it very complex. You know. Well,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you've definitely sold me on not watching it, which I
- 22:56Speaker 1: was already planning to do. Yeah, so thank you for that,
- 23:00Speaker 1: of course, of course my pleasure. I feel extremely validated
- 23:03Speaker 1: in my choice, as you should. Also, it should be said, um,
- 23:07Speaker 1: the most toxic standum is the Barbs, not the beehive.
- 23:10Speaker 1: So like that was a little I mean, you know,
- 23:13Speaker 1: I'm sure they just picked like Beyonce as like the
- 23:16Speaker 1: kind of camp for aesthetic reasons. But if there's a
- 23:21Speaker 1: murderous standum, it's the barbs, right problem. You say that,
- 23:26Speaker 1: but you say that with fear in your eyes because
- 23:30Speaker 1: they'll because they'll cure us. I know we've said, I know,
- 23:35Speaker 1: we said podcasting is an uncancellable medium. But like to
- 23:40Speaker 1: a point, babe, it's funny. Okay. Then if anyone asks,
- 23:43Speaker 1: we didn't say anything about the Barbs, no, no, only
- 23:47Speaker 1: that we love them and that we love Nikki. Um.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Speaking of people we stand um, one of them is
- 23:52Speaker 1: Frankie Grande, actor, singer, dancer, personality star of the upcoming
- 23:59Speaker 1: can't be queer horror film Summoning Sylvia, which will be
- 24:03Speaker 1: out soon. Um, Frankie Grande honestly needs to be a
- 24:08Speaker 1: repeat guest, right, don't you think ross like? You know?
- 24:11Speaker 1: We we honestly like need him, need him back like
- 24:14Speaker 1: once a season. If not one, Yes, a correspondent, if
- 24:18Speaker 1: you will, We at least need like a sort of
- 24:22Speaker 1: soundboard in which we can program lots of Frankie Grande
- 24:27Speaker 1: Gallum and jarge our Banks impressions into Yes, yes, we
- 24:31Speaker 1: actually need Frankie to do just like a full download,
- 24:35Speaker 1: so we can create an AI generated version of Ranky
- 24:38Speaker 1: Grande's Gollum impressions so that it can say anything we
- 24:41Speaker 1: want at any time. We might have enough material science
- 24:46Speaker 1: is incredible. You know, we obviously are very excited to
- 25:05Speaker 1: have you in the pod. We always start by asking guests, like,
- 25:09Speaker 1: what's like a formative cultural object? You know, what have you?
- 25:12Speaker 1: Never in a million years would I have thought that
- 25:15Speaker 1: Frankie Grande would pick Star Wars. I don't know if
- 25:18Speaker 1: this is something that a lot of people know about
- 25:20Speaker 1: you or not so many people know about you, but
- 25:24Speaker 1: I loved that. Yeah, it's funny nerds come in all shixercises.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I feel like I'm here to give an alternate impression
- 25:34Speaker 1: of what it means to be a nerd. We can
- 25:35Speaker 1: love makeup and hair and sparkles and glitter and be
- 25:38Speaker 1: super super fucking gay, but also love nerdy things like
- 25:44Speaker 1: you know, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Star Trek.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I have tattoos all over my body of all my
- 25:48Speaker 1: favorite genres aliens. We're Star Wars right there, my x wing,
- 25:53Speaker 1: you know. Um. And so I think that people don't
- 25:57Speaker 1: know that about me, and I've always found that to
- 25:58Speaker 1: be so kind of fascinating, and you know, and people
- 26:01Speaker 1: don't even believe it when I told him, including my husband,
- 26:03Speaker 1: didn't believe it when I was like, I'm a nerd
- 26:05Speaker 1: and a gamer and he was like, no, you're absolutely not.
- 26:07Speaker 1: And I was like, yes, i am, I promise, And
- 26:10Speaker 1: then I was like nerding out with him and he
- 26:12Speaker 1: was like, oh, okay, maybe you are. But I think
- 26:15Speaker 1: the world was kind of Keaton when Hale and I
- 26:18Speaker 1: got married on May the fourth, Be with You and
- 26:20Speaker 1: had a Star Wars wedding, so I think they were
- 26:22Speaker 1: people are like, okay, maybe, okay, she's yeah, maybe she's
- 26:27Speaker 1: not lying. I'm not sure. So when did the obsession start?
- 26:31Speaker 1: Is this life long? Absolutely? My mother raised me on
- 26:36Speaker 1: episodes four or five and six. You know I really
- 26:41Speaker 1: loved I actually loved all of them. You know, A
- 26:43Speaker 1: New Hope was amazing. But I think I just really
- 26:45Speaker 1: gravitated towards. That was maybe my first introduction into you know,
- 26:50Speaker 1: sci fi fantasy escapism, which you know many queer kids
- 26:54Speaker 1: do gravitate towards early in life because it's like, oh,
- 26:58Speaker 1: you know, like I might not feel one hundred percent
- 27:01Speaker 1: accepted where I am right now, but like that world
- 27:03Speaker 1: is cool, so like maybe I can just live there
- 27:05Speaker 1: in my head for a little bit. Um. That was
- 27:07Speaker 1: kind of my experience with it, anyway, and I just
- 27:11Speaker 1: was obsessed with it ever since, so much so that
- 27:13Speaker 1: even in nineteen ninety nine, when episode one The Phantom
- 27:16Speaker 1: Menace came out, I loved it. I was a child
- 27:22Speaker 1: of some early age, and I was obsessed with The
- 27:26Speaker 1: Phantom Menace, even even jar Jar Banks, who I think
- 27:30Speaker 1: we have reclaimed. Can you do the wait? I need
- 27:33Speaker 1: you to it again. I'm sorry. Musa Musa, Lussa serv Smith,
- 27:40Speaker 1: Monsters out the Luten and Orsa st Yeah. Okay, oh
- 27:52Speaker 1: my god, I'm just falling in love with you in
- 27:53Speaker 1: real time. Um, so you're a Jarjar apologist, because not
- 27:57Speaker 1: a lot of like og Star Wars fans really stand
- 28:00Speaker 1: and jar Jar. He was like a polarizing character. Yeah,
- 28:02Speaker 1: very polarizing character. I think it took the world a
- 28:05Speaker 1: little bit for fans. It took the world into Katie
- 28:08Speaker 1: Land a little bit. But it's interesting because it now
- 28:13Speaker 1: Star Wars is a child's franchise, like we have manysnifications
- 28:17Speaker 1: with a disneyfication. So it was kind of like the
- 28:19Speaker 1: foretelling of like this is going to be for kids, y'all,
- 28:22Speaker 1: so like just just get on board. This is kind
- 28:24Speaker 1: of like an elevated children's story now. And and so, yes,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I think that jar Jar I was young, so obviously
- 28:34Speaker 1: I thought that he was hysterical. I was like, oh
- 28:36Speaker 1: my god, Jargar's like a clown. That's so funny. I
- 28:38Speaker 1: love him. And then I went to a Star Wars
- 28:41Speaker 1: convention right after this came out, and yes, at Disney
- 28:46Speaker 1: at what was formerly known as MGM Studios, and I
- 28:51Speaker 1: went to their room familiar, Yes, exactly MGM Studios, And
- 28:55Speaker 1: I went to this convention and they were like, does
- 28:58Speaker 1: anyone have any impersonations? And I did my Jarjar and
- 29:01Speaker 1: I got a standing ovation and the monitor in like
- 29:04Speaker 1: this room was like, well, I'm pretty sure that is
- 29:06Speaker 1: the first and last time Jarge or Banks will get
- 29:08Speaker 1: a standing a Well. I love I love that you're
- 29:11Speaker 1: a Jarjar apologist, because I generally am a prequels apologist,
- 29:16Speaker 1: and I do think in recent years we have reevaluated
- 29:20Speaker 1: them as a culture because they get shit on a lot.
- 29:24Speaker 1: But I think the prequels are great and they do
- 29:26Speaker 1: what the prequels are supposed to do, which are exactly like,
- 29:29Speaker 1: give you the reasons why everything happens the way it
- 29:32Speaker 1: happens in the main trilogy, and I honestly kind of
- 29:36Speaker 1: think they're better than the new ways. I love it.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, frand you have a no, no no, no,
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm I'm a little bit of a virgin to start.
- 29:43Speaker 1: I mean, I've seen pretty I've seen I think all
- 29:46Speaker 1: of the existing like main franchise films, but no, for
- 29:49Speaker 1: the most part, I'm not as in the fandom and
- 29:52Speaker 1: you know, loosely attached to a lot of these characters. However,
- 29:55Speaker 1: I've never heard that take before, So why do you.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Why do you both of you think the prequels are better? Well,
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm you know, I love Obi Wan, I love Young Anakin,
- 30:05Speaker 1: I love Amidala. Are you kidding the way she was
- 30:09Speaker 1: serving in like like a different outfit every five full drag? Yeah? Yeah,
- 30:17Speaker 1: Also was Yoda. Yoda is alive and well in kicking
- 30:19Speaker 1: ass in the prequels, which is like that Count Dooku
- 30:23Speaker 1: versus Yoda sword. You know, Lightsaber Battle was the most
- 30:29Speaker 1: epic moment in all of Star Wars history. I think it.
- 30:31Speaker 1: It's definitely like one of the first things that I
- 30:33Speaker 1: remembered from like my theater specifics experience of Star Wars.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I remember my dad losing it, Like you know, your
- 30:40Speaker 1: dad always wants to take you to like things like this,
- 30:42Speaker 1: And like I was a kid who was maybe a
- 30:43Speaker 1: little more resistant to not like action adventure stuff because
- 30:47Speaker 1: I love Lord of the Rings. I love loved a
- 30:49Speaker 1: lot of san fantasy sci fi. But I was not
- 30:51Speaker 1: an alien girly like Men in Black like scared the
- 30:54Speaker 1: shit out of me as a kid. And so yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 1: when I was like, you know, like I want to say,
- 30:59Speaker 1: like nine ten or whenever that movie came out of
- 31:01Speaker 1: It's like kind of young, and I remember being really
- 31:03Speaker 1: scared of that movie when I tried to watch it
- 31:05Speaker 1: with my dad, And I think the kind of aliens
- 31:08Speaker 1: in general, and the way they looked and how grotesque
- 31:11Speaker 1: they were in um, the original three, the episodes four
- 31:15Speaker 1: or five and six, I think I was just I
- 31:17Speaker 1: had a kind of like kiddy aversion to it. And
- 31:19Speaker 1: now when I look back on it, I think, like,
- 31:21Speaker 1: those practical effects are like so gorgeous and like that's
- 31:24Speaker 1: something that I really love about. Um. Okay, I have
- 31:27Speaker 1: a piping hot take. Um. I just started watching The
- 31:31Speaker 1: Mandalorian last night, and did everyone know that this is
- 31:34Speaker 1: a great show? Like yes, no, Like it's it's like
- 31:39Speaker 1: very well, yeah, everyone should get on this. Has anyone
- 31:43Speaker 1: heard of Pedro Scal? It's like this new guy on.
- 31:47Speaker 1: There's a baby Yoda thing that's like kind of yeah,
- 31:51Speaker 1: like this thing should go viral, right. Um. I literally
- 31:54Speaker 1: Rose told me two days ago that The Mandalorian is
- 31:58Speaker 1: Pedro Pescal has no fucking idea. So I'm only on
- 32:02Speaker 1: the second episode. Does he take off his mask? He does? Okay,
- 32:07Speaker 1: okay spoil yeah, no, no, no no, everyone knows this is
- 32:12Speaker 1: like this was this was Yeah, datcha as as I
- 32:16Speaker 1: am as I'm constantly saying when we record these episodes,
- 32:21Speaker 1: you can't spoil things that happened sometimes decades talking. So like, okay, here,
- 32:26Speaker 1: did you know that Darth Vader is Luke's boot? Um?
- 32:31Speaker 1: Did you know that Luke Skywalker and Leiah are twins?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Even though they also made out, they did kiss in
- 32:38Speaker 1: the first movie? And it's is that something that Star
- 32:41Speaker 1: Wars fans discussed widely or what did we just like
- 32:43Speaker 1: sweep it under the rug? Wait? Really that's like a
- 32:48Speaker 1: huge thing to ignore. I mean they explained it, so
- 32:53Speaker 1: then we were like, okay, we accept your explanation, and
- 32:55Speaker 1: then we moved on. Yeah, there was no twitter, you
- 32:58Speaker 1: know in the so it was and it passed exactly.
- 33:01Speaker 1: It was just like it was just like all they
- 33:03Speaker 1: didn't know. Okay, it's fine, that's so. That's so there
- 33:05Speaker 1: were to be like canceled, how dare you? Yes? Yes,
- 33:10Speaker 1: canceled incest Nope, never happened. Okay, Um, I'm curious. I
- 33:15Speaker 1: don't even know like it could because I'm kind of
- 33:17Speaker 1: the virgin. I'm like, do we go into like favorite characters,
- 33:19Speaker 1: do we go into a favorite movie? Do we go
- 33:21Speaker 1: into like I have a fun Star Wars and thing
- 33:23Speaker 1: that happened last night. Oh temas. So my husband is
- 33:27Speaker 1: a chess man, so he's really very good at chess.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Um so he wanted to go to this game night,
- 33:33Speaker 1: and so I took my two best friends, Selena s
- 33:35Speaker 1: Titties and our friend Mondo, and we went to um
- 33:39Speaker 1: a trivia okay, a chess night at this board game cafe.
- 33:43Speaker 1: But there was also trivia night, and so um As Titties,
- 33:46Speaker 1: me and Mondo played trivia and we're so aggressive, like
- 33:48Speaker 1: we're crazy people and we're like screaming at you know,
- 33:51Speaker 1: these like lovely people that are just wanted to have
- 33:52Speaker 1: a nice trivia night. But we were so aggressive. But
- 33:54Speaker 1: one of the categories was Star Wars, so I swept
- 33:58Speaker 1: in that category. And I'm gonna askew Rose if you
- 34:01Speaker 1: know this question. Okay, okay, um what is the name
- 34:03Speaker 1: of the planet where um Obi Wan slices Anakin in half?
- 34:10Speaker 1: Oh oh oh fuck um oh um oh. I like
- 34:20Speaker 1: this information does exist somewhere, Like I've definitely I've definitely
- 34:28Speaker 1: like read um and Obi Wan Anakin fan fiction that
- 34:32Speaker 1: took place on that side. But yes, I but yet
- 34:35Speaker 1: I don't know the name of the planet, so I'm
- 34:38Speaker 1: gonna have to concede. Okay, so the name of the
- 34:40Speaker 1: planet is Moosta Far, and I knew that, but for that,
- 34:44Speaker 1: but also because um, on my wedding, I named all
- 34:47Speaker 1: of the tables as a different planet from the Star
- 34:50Speaker 1: Wars galaxy and Star Wars universe. So I put Hale's
- 34:53Speaker 1: family at Moosta Far because they're the Fiery Heart hot
- 34:55Speaker 1: Long Islands. Um, this is like giving me my bod Mitzvah.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I put my grandmother and her nonagenarian friends at dag
- 35:06Speaker 1: Above because that's where Yoda's planet is, so like old
- 35:09Speaker 1: and wise. I put like my mom at Coorissant because
- 35:12Speaker 1: it was like the city planet. And I just had fun,
- 35:15Speaker 1: Like I just did. People were from Chicago are hath
- 35:18Speaker 1: because it was the ice planet. I think that's the
- 35:20Speaker 1: coldest place I've ever been in my entire life. Um yeah,
- 35:23Speaker 1: so I just had fun. Anyway, that's so cute. Okay,
- 35:25Speaker 1: So speaking of you know, sort of all the different planets,
- 35:28Speaker 1: and like, I think that one of the fun things
- 35:30Speaker 1: about Star Wars it's it's such an expansive universe, and
- 35:33Speaker 1: like all of these franchises, you know, like the ones
- 35:36Speaker 1: that like laughs the longest, like we're talking Lord of
- 35:39Speaker 1: the Rings Harry Potter. It's like there's a lot of
- 35:41Speaker 1: world to play in. So yes, you know, when you
- 35:43Speaker 1: think about Star Wars, like who do you see yourself as?
- 35:46Speaker 1: Are you a Jedi? Are you, um you know, are
- 35:49Speaker 1: you a Han solo type figure? Are you an alien?
- 35:53Speaker 1: Are you adroid? What? Like? Where are you in the
- 35:56Speaker 1: Star Wars universe? So I think I'm a Sith. I
- 36:00Speaker 1: think I'm a Sith because but like you know, maybe
- 36:04Speaker 1: what you know, like you know almost like you know
- 36:06Speaker 1: some of like the Witches of Dagmar like kind of
- 36:08Speaker 1: something just really like, um, I've always won more there.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Those are the ones from the Star Wars a clone Wars,
- 36:15Speaker 1: the ones with the painted faces that are like way, yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 1: the Witches of Dagma and we you know, like they're
- 36:20Speaker 1: they're very very spooky scary. Um. I just I always
- 36:23Speaker 1: want to I want to play a villain. I like
- 36:25Speaker 1: being a villain on TV. I think it's it's very
- 36:27Speaker 1: like anti who I am as a person, so like
- 36:30Speaker 1: people are like, oh he's acting, Um, that's so exciting.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Like in my upcoming project, you'll see I'm acting, I'm
- 36:36Speaker 1: like the villain a bit so. Um, that's fun to me.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I always am drawn to the dark side, isn't that crazy? Um? Like,
- 36:44Speaker 1: I don't think I'm a jar jar character in the
- 36:46Speaker 1: Star Wars universe. I think I'm someone to know. I
- 36:48Speaker 1: think I'm very pro rose and I are very pro
- 36:51Speaker 1: like faggy villains, like villains that real y queer. Yes,
- 36:55Speaker 1: vengeance about Oh so you're calling Frankie Fay. Yeah. Oh no, no, No,
- 37:01Speaker 1: I would never. That's that's no never never. Um, okay,
- 37:05Speaker 1: you I have to but I'm scared of waiting into
- 37:09Speaker 1: this discourse. But while we're talking about, you know, character alignments. Um.
- 37:14Speaker 1: I have been told once, and I've never stopped thinking
- 37:16Speaker 1: about this, that in every gay male relationship there is
- 37:19Speaker 1: a C three PO and an R two D two.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Which one are you? Honey? Um? In every gay male
- 37:28Speaker 1: relationship there's a C three PO and an R two
- 37:30Speaker 1: D two. Which one are you? I's gonna say C
- 37:35Speaker 1: three P what? Oh? Um? Well, are you the chatty,
- 37:41Speaker 1: brainy no interpreter? No? Or you're a little fun like
- 37:44Speaker 1: adventurer who likes to go p boo boo boo bop.
- 37:47Speaker 1: That one, you're R g D two, I'm C three
- 37:49Speaker 1: po oh. He thinks he's really so we're we're you're
- 37:53Speaker 1: R two D two. Yeah. I think I'm C three
- 37:57Speaker 1: p but he thinks true. I honestly think when I
- 38:02Speaker 1: think about this analogy, I think a lot about like
- 38:04Speaker 1: attachment styles. Like there's one that's kind of like worrying
- 38:07Speaker 1: about stuff and like trying to keep shit on lock,
- 38:09Speaker 1: and then the one who's like, actually, just like just
- 38:11Speaker 1: like okay, let's just move forward and like we don't
- 38:13Speaker 1: need a panic and like literally I can fix it
- 38:15Speaker 1: with the three beeps. Yeah, I think that's I think
- 38:18Speaker 1: that's til Yeah, okay, well, I love I think he
- 38:21Speaker 1: just wants to be taller. I think that's his issue.
- 38:24Speaker 1: I think he's like, no, I'm taller than you, and
- 38:26Speaker 1: I'm like you are, honey. Okay, so we figured out alignment. Now,
- 38:31Speaker 1: which Star Wars character would you most want, you know,
- 38:34Speaker 1: to spend a romantic weekend with, possibly um keeping each
- 38:38Speaker 1: other warm on hoff? I mean there's I mean it
- 38:41Speaker 1: has to be young Anakin Hayden Christiansen. That was he
- 38:44Speaker 1: was smoke. I've said this on the pod before, but unfortunately, yeah,
- 38:47Speaker 1: young Anakin was and and I think episode one or
- 38:50Speaker 1: oh no no, episode one, episode two, and I not
- 38:53Speaker 1: not ban like yeah, no, I'm talking about hating Christians Anakin,
- 38:57Speaker 1: which is episodes, not like old Darth Bay where he
- 39:00Speaker 1: doesn't have Yeah, but there's this, there's this. I'm kind
- 39:03Speaker 1: of I'm kind of into that, to be honest, although
- 39:05Speaker 1: my answer would be like, um, like general like older Leia,
- 39:12Speaker 1: I want her to mommy, mee, mommy fun and like
- 39:16Speaker 1: tell you like what to do, like please just tell
- 39:19Speaker 1: me what you do. And then also I mean obi
- 39:22Speaker 1: Wan for me because I'm like a you or girly
- 39:25Speaker 1: like through and through for life. And I think probably
- 39:29Speaker 1: the prequels the reason I liked them so much were
- 39:32Speaker 1: because of you in because it's post sure, it's post
- 39:36Speaker 1: Mulan Rouge, so like he was everything. He was everything
- 39:40Speaker 1: and it was such an interesting take on it. Um
- 39:43Speaker 1: oh yeah, completely completely agree. Oh I love it. We're nerds.
- 39:47Speaker 1: It's so wonderful gay nerds. We really are umanes right
- 39:53Speaker 1: he I'm this is this is how much of a
- 39:55Speaker 1: virgin I am. So I'll let me answer this by
- 39:58Speaker 1: telling you that there's a TV show called obi Wan
- 40:00Speaker 1: that is just airing where we meet where Obi Wan
- 40:03Speaker 1: is right now, so we are in the middle of
- 40:05Speaker 1: a new Obi run like story run. However, yes, he
- 40:09Speaker 1: dies eventually. He dies in the originals, Yes, in the
- 40:11Speaker 1: original four. You know what was weird about that Obi
- 40:13Speaker 1: Wan show, which I did love? I thought it was great.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Why wasn't it just it's actually called Obi Wan Kenobi
- 40:19Speaker 1: and it should have just been called Obi Vader. It
- 40:23Speaker 1: also could have been called Vader, And I did love
- 40:26Speaker 1: seeing the continuation of their you know, toxic relationship. It's
- 40:31Speaker 1: very much giving ex boyfriends. Yeah for sure. Um yeah, yeah.
- 40:36Speaker 1: My only issue was like how did why do they suck?
- 40:40Speaker 1: Like how come both neither of them can use the force?
- 40:43Speaker 1: Like it's so strange how they're like crawling on their
- 40:46Speaker 1: hands and knees, and like Vader's like, oh man, there's
- 40:49Speaker 1: a bonfire between me and Obi Wan, and I just
- 40:53Speaker 1: can't figure out how to get them on the other
- 40:55Speaker 1: side of that bonfire. Yeah, the rules of the forest
- 40:58Speaker 1: are very finicky. They're not you know, set in stone,
- 41:01Speaker 1: and it's like, you know, this like magical force that
- 41:05Speaker 1: kind of sometimes it is really powerful sometimes like you
- 41:08Speaker 1: can barely like float over a diet coke can exactly.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I was like, huh, wow, they're really having trouble with
- 41:15Speaker 1: this fight there, and okay, um I okay. I really
- 41:22Speaker 1: feel like when I was first watching these movies, I
- 41:25Speaker 1: didn't totally grasp like a lot of what was going on.
- 41:28Speaker 1: And especially if you start from like episode four or whatever,
- 41:31Speaker 1: you're kind of like, what episode four, like all this
- 41:33Speaker 1: stuff that's like, you know, happening, and like you have
- 41:36Speaker 1: this huge like scroll screen that's been like you know,
- 41:38Speaker 1: spoofed out of an item allah like spaceballs, et cetera,
- 41:41Speaker 1: where it's just like all this stuff has happened, and
- 41:44Speaker 1: now I have to like enter the world. Did you
- 41:46Speaker 1: enter the world knowing stuff about it or did you
- 41:49Speaker 1: just like did you you know, already want to be
- 41:51Speaker 1: a part of it because of the buzz like what
- 41:53Speaker 1: was So this brings up a very very big controversy
- 41:57Speaker 1: in the fandom, which is what order do you introduce
- 42:00Speaker 1: a new person to the Star Wars franchise? Um? You know,
- 42:04Speaker 1: George Lucas thinks you should go one, two, three, four,
- 42:06Speaker 1: five six, um, because it doesn't it, but but there
- 42:10Speaker 1: are people that say you need to do four or
- 42:11Speaker 1: five six, so that the big twist where you find
- 42:15Speaker 1: out that Vader is Luke's father actually still is a twist. Um,
- 42:20Speaker 1: I don't know that there are enough people on the
- 42:22Speaker 1: planet that that applies to. So, yeah, exactly, So I
- 42:27Speaker 1: say do one two three, four five six. Well, as
- 42:29Speaker 1: a kid, I was introduced four five six one two three,
- 42:32Speaker 1: So um, I don't think there's a wrong way to
- 42:35Speaker 1: do it. I don't think there's a wrong way to
- 42:36Speaker 1: do So. Do you remember in the nineties they've re
- 42:59Speaker 1: released ally of the up movies and theaters. So I
- 43:02Speaker 1: saw those at them at the movie theater and Book
- 43:05Speaker 1: Raton Florida because that's where I grew up, and I
- 43:08Speaker 1: know that you are also a Florida girl. No way,
- 43:11Speaker 1: where'd you go to school? I went to Dreyfuss. Oh
- 43:14Speaker 1: my god, I played you in volleyball. I was not
- 43:17Speaker 1: on the volleyball team. No surprises to anyone on the
- 43:21Speaker 1: same recording. Okay, Reggie, you have no idea how often
- 43:24Speaker 1: Book a Raton comes up on this podcast. It's actually whackadoodle.
- 43:27Speaker 1: It's like once an episode. What is well? Is there
- 43:30Speaker 1: a know about Boca? It is? It is an oddly
- 43:35Speaker 1: protected space on this planet. Like I truly feel like
- 43:39Speaker 1: there's some sort of dome that surrounds it because it
- 43:42Speaker 1: is like there's no pollution and there's like very little crime,
- 43:46Speaker 1: and it's very beautiful and well maintained, and everything is huge.
- 43:50Speaker 1: There's just like huge buildings and massive malls and huge
- 43:54Speaker 1: parking lot trees, huge parking lots, the biggest, the biggest,
- 43:57Speaker 1: the biggest, um And it was a really fun place
- 44:01Speaker 1: for me to grow up. It is very homogeneous. We
- 44:05Speaker 1: can say that it's not extremely diverse, which made for
- 44:08Speaker 1: some interesting discoveries when I think of college and I
- 44:11Speaker 1: was like, wow, there's so many people that aren't like
- 44:13Speaker 1: me in this world. So it was an interesting place
- 44:17Speaker 1: to grow up. But I do still think it's really
- 44:20Speaker 1: there's something really special about it. I think so too.
- 44:23Speaker 1: I mean we used to like we used to refer
- 44:25Speaker 1: to it as God's waiting room because you know, it's
- 44:28Speaker 1: like where all the where all the old people come
- 44:30Speaker 1: to spend their twilight years. Yea, it is really. I
- 44:35Speaker 1: think a big part of my personality is like I
- 44:37Speaker 1: am like a nine year old woman in a thirty
- 44:40Speaker 1: four year old woman's body because I grew up surrounded
- 44:43Speaker 1: by the elderly and you know, what I think that
- 44:47Speaker 1: has served me? Well, what where where in Star Wars
- 44:51Speaker 1: the Star Wars universe would you most compare a book
- 44:54Speaker 1: or a tone too? Oh man, it's got to be
- 44:57Speaker 1: coo a song because well no, but it's such a power.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I I was just gonna say, course, not because everyone's rich. Um, No,
- 45:03Speaker 1: it's not. It's Nabu. It's nab It is Nabu. It's
- 45:06Speaker 1: Nabo because everyone is rich. It is rich. Um. But
- 45:10Speaker 1: and it's literally a dome. It's a bubble of perfect
- 45:12Speaker 1: beautiful magicness with huge palaces. I mean it's almost the
- 45:16Speaker 1: same exact architecture as Nabu. Yes, and I grew up
- 45:19Speaker 1: wearing literally everything that Padmea Amidala wore, so it makes
- 45:23Speaker 1: I bought them all at Town Center mall. It's Naboo
- 45:26Speaker 1: kind of like the capital or like so Nabu is
- 45:29Speaker 1: um where Princess Amidala came from. So it's very rich,
- 45:33Speaker 1: very chechy, very royalty. Yes, um, but it's like um
- 45:37Speaker 1: in the middle of a jungle. So it's got that
- 45:38Speaker 1: tropical Okay, they saw off of what Ross told me
- 45:42Speaker 1: about Bucca's malls. I feel like, yeah, that's definitely where
- 45:45Speaker 1: Amidala came from, yes, exactly. Yeah, you could see Amidala
- 45:49Speaker 1: literally going through nemons. She and I went to Hebrew
- 45:52Speaker 1: School together, yes exactly, nay Amidala Nabu, Yes, I remember that.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Yeah of course. Um yeah. And also extremely Jewish community.
- 46:02Speaker 1: So you know, I grew up knowing um, you know,
- 46:05Speaker 1: as I was raised Roman Catholic. But then when I
- 46:07Speaker 1: got to Bocca and I was ten, I was quickly
- 46:09Speaker 1: informed that I was wrong. They were like, no, that's
- 46:13Speaker 1: not how we roll here. You'll be going to forty
- 46:15Speaker 1: seven Barbat and Bana Mitzvah's and I really embraced the
- 46:19Speaker 1: Jewish culture, the Jewish community, um, you know, like I
- 46:21Speaker 1: learned the prayer of the candles and I kind of started.
- 46:24Speaker 1: That began my transition away from the Roman Catholic Church
- 46:27Speaker 1: into Cabala. So I started studying Cabala because I was there,
- 46:30Speaker 1: and now I consider myself kind of like you know, um,
- 46:34Speaker 1: just a student of the universe, but with more emphasis
- 46:38Speaker 1: on Judaism and Cabalah than on Roman. So you wow.
- 46:41Speaker 1: There used to be a Cabala center near the Temple
- 46:46Speaker 1: Um off of Yamato. I remember one time it was
- 46:50Speaker 1: like in, you know, like when I was a teenager
- 46:52Speaker 1: and Cabala was like kind of a little let's say,
- 46:56Speaker 1: And I remember one day my mom called me and
- 47:00Speaker 1: I had like I had just gotten a car, and
- 47:01Speaker 1: she said, redacted dead name, Um, I'm having a really
- 47:07Speaker 1: stressful day. I need you to go to the Cabala
- 47:10Speaker 1: Center and get me a red string bracelet so that
- 47:12Speaker 1: I can be centered. And I was like, um, I
- 47:15Speaker 1: have to go to rehearsal, and she was like, I
- 47:16Speaker 1: need it now, and so I went and got her
- 47:18Speaker 1: a red string bracelet. It probably costs like forty five dollars,
- 47:22Speaker 1: and I'm not going to say that she was very centered. Yeah, No,
- 47:26Speaker 1: you gotta do the rest of the work, like you
- 47:28Speaker 1: gotta like do the Cabala one on one which teaches
- 47:31Speaker 1: you very very simple things. By the way, it is
- 47:34Speaker 1: not like complete rocket science, but it breaks it down
- 47:38Speaker 1: in a way that actually made a lot of sense
- 47:39Speaker 1: to my little thirteen year old brain. And of course
- 47:41Speaker 1: I did go because of me. That's what I was
- 47:42Speaker 1: going to say, obviously, light and I said, yeah, girl,
- 47:47Speaker 1: me too, What the fuck are you talking about? And
- 47:49Speaker 1: then she was like Camala, and I was like, I
- 47:52Speaker 1: gotta go it's kind of like being a Jedi, you
- 47:54Speaker 1: know it is. It's Jewish myths, literalism, that is, you know,
- 47:59Speaker 1: jed I mysticism. It's very mystic. Yes, exactly. I'm sorry
- 48:02Speaker 1: if you already answered this. Did you have a bar mitzvah? No?
- 48:06Speaker 1: I didn't. I had a sweet sixteen So people did
- 48:10Speaker 1: come to that, which was really fun. It was alien themed,
- 48:13Speaker 1: and during the cake cutting, I showed the scene from
- 48:16Speaker 1: Alien three where the alien burst through someone's skulls and
- 48:19Speaker 1: eat their brains. So that's that's me as a that's
- 48:22Speaker 1: me as a child. Fran you still haven't seen any
- 48:24Speaker 1: of the alien n correct? Oh, Iranie, Frankie, you see
- 48:29Speaker 1: what I'm dealing with. This is literally the reason we
- 48:32Speaker 1: started this podcast. It's because I'm always yelling at frand like,
- 48:36Speaker 1: how have you never seen Alien? Rose? Whenever you need backup,
- 48:39Speaker 1: I will come up. Thank you. I I'm always happy
- 48:44Speaker 1: to have a sister to bully with. Yes, please absolutely?
- 48:50Speaker 1: So okay, Alien is also in your kind of like
- 48:53Speaker 1: canon of alien things that you love? What other kind
- 48:56Speaker 1: of alien sci fi shows you? We know you love
- 48:58Speaker 1: Star Trek, right, yeah, Star Trek, Harry Potter, you know
- 49:02Speaker 1: all of them, just like yeah, Jurassic Yeah, my velociraptor
- 49:09Speaker 1: on the back here, um yeah, and the next mice,
- 49:12Speaker 1: next Star Trek. My next tattoo is the Star Trek
- 49:14Speaker 1: and singing it's going to go here. But I just
- 49:16Speaker 1: haven't had time. I had a lot of panic over
- 49:20Speaker 1: which enterprise to get because there have been so many
- 49:22Speaker 1: throughout the years of Star Trek. But I'm going og
- 49:25Speaker 1: and we're going with NCC seventeen oh one. Okay, we're doing.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I do have to show my ass a little and
- 49:31Speaker 1: say that Star Trek is kind of my one cultural
- 49:34Speaker 1: blind spot I have never engaged. So can you like
- 49:38Speaker 1: top line it for us? Like, what is Star Trek?
- 49:41Speaker 1: What do you love about it? Okay, so Star Trek
- 49:46Speaker 1: my mother was obsessed with it when she was a kid,
- 49:48Speaker 1: so she grew me, grew me up on the originals,
- 49:51Speaker 1: you know, with William Shatner and Spock and o'hura, and
- 49:55Speaker 1: you know, there were just these amazing, amazing, unbelievably like
- 49:58Speaker 1: iconic characters that like when they re booted Star Trek,
- 50:00Speaker 1: they was still just as iconic. Like I was like,
- 50:02Speaker 1: oh wow, Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto
- 50:06Speaker 1: are doing such a good job of the writing of
- 50:09Speaker 1: the characters is just so compelling, and the way that
- 50:12Speaker 1: they work together to solve problems. It is way more
- 50:15Speaker 1: of like a we need a full team kind of
- 50:19Speaker 1: show than Star Wars is and Star Wars you don't
- 50:21Speaker 1: really need a team you just yea yeah exactly, whereas
- 50:26Speaker 1: in Star Trek it's like, no, we need Scottie Ohura
- 50:29Speaker 1: bones Kirk, and we need McCoy and we need all
- 50:32Speaker 1: of them in order to get through the situation. So
- 50:35Speaker 1: I really liked that team building aspect of it, and
- 50:38Speaker 1: I would say, honestly, like just start with Star Trek
- 50:41Speaker 1: Discovery because that's the newest one. It is on Paramount
- 50:44Speaker 1: Plus and it is so queer, like they have an
- 50:49Speaker 1: openly gay couple on the show. They have the first
- 50:53Speaker 1: I believe non binary presenting character on the show or
- 50:58Speaker 1: actor for which is the qualification and of it. It's
- 51:00Speaker 1: both both presenting an actor I believe um on the show,
- 51:04Speaker 1: and it's just so if I watch it now and
- 51:06Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, this is this is the
- 51:09Speaker 1: world I want to live in. This is the world. Yeah,
- 51:10Speaker 1: I've heard amazing things about it like it really sounds incredible.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Um yeah, does that you would like it? If you
- 51:18Speaker 1: like Mandalorian, you would like Kyle jump in? When you
- 51:20Speaker 1: if you jump in? Do you do I have to
- 51:22Speaker 1: like read a wiki or do they summarize? Okay, great love,
- 51:25Speaker 1: No to start episode one of Discovery. You'll be fine.
- 51:28Speaker 1: There are there are no real references to the rest
- 51:30Speaker 1: of the world. You might miss a couple of things,
- 51:32Speaker 1: but it's like little easter eggs and stuff. Correct exactly,
- 51:36Speaker 1: You're not going to be like well, and of course
- 51:37Speaker 1: Michelle Yo is on it. Hello, Hello, Oscar winning legend,
- 51:41Speaker 1: Oscar winning legend Michelle Yo on season one and two
- 51:45Speaker 1: of Star Trek Discovery get into it, and she's incredible.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Corn it incredible. I'm gonna say, Michelle Yo, thank you
- 51:56Speaker 1: for that. Thank you so much. Okay, so I think
- 51:59Speaker 1: we need to like while we have you here, we
- 52:02Speaker 1: know that you love Lord of the Rings, and like
- 52:04Speaker 1: Lord of the Rings is, we come back to it
- 52:06Speaker 1: time and time again many podcast because we love it
- 52:10Speaker 1: so much. So okay, who okay, are you a hobbit?
- 52:13Speaker 1: Are you an elf? Are you a wizard? Are you
- 52:15Speaker 1: an orc? Are you an urquai? Oh? So good? Well,
- 52:18Speaker 1: first of all, I'm wearing my one ring from New
- 52:21Speaker 1: Zealand where I went to get it forged at Jens
- 52:23Speaker 1: Hansen where they made the rings for the movie. So
- 52:27Speaker 1: I am a you are, and i've if you liked
- 52:32Speaker 1: jar Jar, and then I have to do some me gold.
- 52:35Speaker 1: It's okay, here we go, Okay, here we am some where?
- 52:43Speaker 1: Does it cross master hurtss masters to re tricks, retur
- 52:59Speaker 1: stupid little Oh my god, did Andy serkis just like
- 53:08Speaker 1: drop into the zoom call? Yeah? I've dreamed that one
- 53:13Speaker 1: day I would get to play that role, because we
- 53:15Speaker 1: know he's not doing it anymore. Oh my god, I
- 53:17Speaker 1: think you will. Okay. I think we need like a
- 53:19Speaker 1: sort of Titanique version of Lord of the Rings. Okay, wait,
- 53:23Speaker 1: hot tea, I just heard that they're bringing a Lord
- 53:25Speaker 1: of the Rings musical to London. I don't I did
- 53:27Speaker 1: not get my phone call yet, but if you're listening,
- 53:29Speaker 1: anyone that's involved there, Oh my god, this the campaign begins.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Now we need Frankie in a Tolkien franchise period. I
- 53:37Speaker 1: think you could do like a one woman show in
- 53:40Speaker 1: which you like share doing west Side story, play all
- 53:42Speaker 1: the roles ys. Oh my God, there would be incredible.
- 53:47Speaker 1: Um So I guess I a war and I guess
- 53:49Speaker 1: I'm kind of a creature. I would say I'm a creature.
- 53:52Speaker 1: I've always dreamed of being a creature. That's another like
- 53:55Speaker 1: fun fact about me, Like I've dream of being like
- 53:58Speaker 1: a CGI capture voice acting creature in a movie, you know,
- 54:04Speaker 1: like I want to be grout except I want to
- 54:06Speaker 1: like actually say things and like act um but other
- 54:09Speaker 1: than that, Like, yes, I want to be a creature.
- 54:11Speaker 1: So I'd be a creature in that world. Okay, I
- 54:14Speaker 1: love that for you. Um is the best line ever?
- 54:18Speaker 1: Uttered Ful of a tuk or fly you Villimes? Right,
- 54:26Speaker 1: full of a tuk is pretty is pretty pretty good.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that one's pretty good. What's your favorite
- 54:31Speaker 1: Lord of the Rings movie? Because there is a correct answer. Yeah,
- 54:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna say at me, I'm kind of mad at you. Yeah,
- 54:40Speaker 1: I just I loved how epic and long and and sweeping.
- 54:45Speaker 1: It was a Yeah, you're a fellowship I'm a hardcore
- 54:50Speaker 1: fellowship girl. Yeah, I mean I think both are incredible.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Didn't Return of the King when the Oscar it did?
- 54:56Speaker 1: Yeah for best Picture? Um so maybe I'm swayed by
- 54:59Speaker 1: the fact that it got all the finally got the
- 55:01Speaker 1: awards that it deserved. Oh my god, was not annoying,
- 55:05Speaker 1: but yeah, I don't know, there's something so magical about
- 55:07Speaker 1: the ending, you know, the white tree of gondor the
- 55:11Speaker 1: lightings of the the uh what are those called the pyres?
- 55:17Speaker 1: Oh Billy Boyd singing that song? Yeah? Oh the remix Diva.
- 55:22Speaker 1: The remix of that song is so there's like a
- 55:25Speaker 1: club remix of like, I love that You're off book
- 55:31Speaker 1: a man, he paused dude shadow and then out of
- 55:35Speaker 1: nowhere we get a full belt thing. He's like, dude
- 55:38Speaker 1: of nine, whoa, I just got that? How did you
- 55:41Speaker 1: get that reverb? But yeah, that was okay. Now that
- 55:43Speaker 1: we're getting your musical styling, s Frankie, we have to
- 55:46Speaker 1: say Rose was lucky enough to see you in TITANIEK
- 55:49Speaker 1: No way I was. I saw it in December and
- 55:54Speaker 1: right before I left, and it was like the most
- 56:00Speaker 1: fun I've had seeing a piece of theater in years.
- 56:04Speaker 1: It was just so joyful and like stupid and playful
- 56:12Speaker 1: and fun. You were so great and I had such
- 56:15Speaker 1: a fantastic time. It is I think one of the
- 56:18Speaker 1: queerest piece of theaters in the world, and it is
- 56:23Speaker 1: I've never had so much fun being in a show,
- 56:26Speaker 1: like I never get a chance to be that stupid
- 56:30Speaker 1: at eight shows a week. Usually there's some sort of
- 56:32Speaker 1: some realm of you know, seriousness that has involved And
- 56:35Speaker 1: that was literally just fun and laughing the whole time.
- 56:38Speaker 1: And I love that cast so much. I mean, Marlon Mondel,
- 56:41Speaker 1: like what a genius as icon legend star a genius
- 56:46Speaker 1: so and the fact that she changes the show every
- 56:48Speaker 1: night and does the improv differently like it just it
- 56:51Speaker 1: always kept us on her toes and it was great.
- 56:52Speaker 1: I will tell you it is the hardest show I
- 56:55Speaker 1: have ever done in my life in what way physically, uh,
- 57:00Speaker 1: physically and vocally because you know, we're singing those celine
- 57:04Speaker 1: down songs like my my big note is like a
- 57:07Speaker 1: sp and uh you know the stairs girl tap dancing
- 57:13Speaker 1: up and down those stairs honey with around Really I was, yeah,
- 57:19Speaker 1: I was doing things. It was full and anything goes honey. Um.
- 57:23Speaker 1: So yeah. And we had started on a on a
- 57:25Speaker 1: cement deck before we got to that beautiful dow Row theater.
- 57:28Speaker 1: We were doing it for like six months on cement,
- 57:30Speaker 1: so my body was just dead. Um. But I'm looking
- 57:34Speaker 1: forward to going back for whatever the next whatever the
- 57:37Speaker 1: transfer is, whatever the next uh incarnation is, I will
- 57:40Speaker 1: be back playing Victor Garber. Is there an Ewok emerging
- 57:43Speaker 1: onto screen right now? What's Yoh my god? Oh what's
- 57:47Speaker 1: her name? What's their name? And pronouns apace, we love,
- 57:53Speaker 1: Agenda is agender, we love, we love Opa and um yes,
- 57:58Speaker 1: he does definitely look like a little Ewok and he's
- 58:00Speaker 1: Apa from Avatar the Last Airbender, so he's my little
- 58:03Speaker 1: sky god. I love Avatar the Last Airbender. That was
- 58:06Speaker 1: early COVID like, like, yes, April twenty twenty, I watched
- 58:12Speaker 1: Avatar for the first time, and I think, to this
- 58:15Speaker 1: day it's like one of the best most um like
- 58:18Speaker 1: cohesive pieces of fantasy media I've ever experienced. Yes, and
- 58:23Speaker 1: I'm actually excited for the live action because they have
- 58:26Speaker 1: said that they're doing the exact plot of the cartoon,
- 58:30Speaker 1: like they're not debating. Yeah, so that makes me happy,
- 58:33Speaker 1: Like we're gonna get you know, angg and we're gonna
- 58:35Speaker 1: get tough, and we're gonna get you know, like the
- 58:38Speaker 1: real the real OG characters. So with the same plot,
- 58:42Speaker 1: which is great, what kind of bender would you want
- 58:44Speaker 1: to be. Oh, I'm an airbender. Okay, I see that.
- 58:48Speaker 1: I'm an abder because I want to fly, y'all. And
- 58:52Speaker 1: I am fast moving and I you know, am kind
- 58:55Speaker 1: of playful. Um, I can have centered energy. I'm definitely
- 58:59Speaker 1: not a fire bill older Um, definitely not an Earth
- 59:02Speaker 1: I'm not grounded enough for Earth. I am not angry
- 59:05Speaker 1: enough for fire um. And I mean, I guess there
- 59:09Speaker 1: could be a very strong case made for me being
- 59:11Speaker 1: a water bender, but I think I'm I see era
- 59:13Speaker 1: as well. And honestly, I love what you said about
- 59:15Speaker 1: just like this, this reboot. There's this thing happening in
- 59:17Speaker 1: like nostalgic reboots right now where it's just like a
- 59:20Speaker 1: lot of people aren't getting it right, and I feel like,
- 59:22Speaker 1: what the what the kids want is a shot by
- 59:24Speaker 1: shot remake like Rose and I just watched that trailer
- 59:28Speaker 1: for The Little Mermaid or whatever, and I was just like,
- 59:30Speaker 1: damn like shot by shot, like that shot. I want
- 59:33Speaker 1: to see when she comes out of the shed. They
- 59:36Speaker 1: had to nail it, they had to nail it exactly,
- 59:39Speaker 1: and they did. And I'm a little nervous about the CGI.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I think I look a little crazy. I am too,
- 59:44Speaker 1: like Um, why does Sebastian look like he's trying to
- 59:48Speaker 1: sell me a crabby patty? Yeah, I'm slightly nervous, but
- 59:52Speaker 1: I don't, I don't, I will, I will. This is
- 59:54Speaker 1: also a very like I'm in my thirties take, but
- 59:57Speaker 1: like it also looks very dark, like I'm going to
- 59:59Speaker 1: be squinting a lot during the underwater scenes like it's
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: giving Game of Throne season eighty or you know um
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: that ye. Can you believe that they were released an
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: episode without color correcting it, like, baby, turn the brightness up,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: they give me some contrast. They legit did not color
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: correct an episode and then they they aired it without
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: color correction. No one would see anything, and then they
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: changed it before they put it on. It was on accident.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I didn't know that I had to watch it. I
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: had to watch season eight with night vision goggles. Legitimately,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: they just weren't. They didn't have enough time to get
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: everything you know, um out in time, so they just
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: were like, you can put it on and then they
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: were like we'll fix it after. And then literally we
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: were like, well and it showed um yeah, or it didn't.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I guess crazy. My mother was in Where was my
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: mother that she couldn't watch it live. Um, I don't know,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: maybe London or something and I or you know, I
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: don't know. Maybe she was on tour of my sister.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: But anyway, wherever she was, I had to I face
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: timed her to watch it together. So she really, Oh
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: my god, we need to get your mama. We need
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: to get your mom a VPN or something like, yeah,
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: we have figured it out. We see we can VPN.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: We vpned on this side for Downton Abbey and we
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: watched that together. Don't get roads started, No, get me
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: started on Downton Abbey. Did you see a New Era
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: also known as the best film of twenty twenty two?
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Of course I did, of course I did. Wait. Frankie's
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: sprawling knowledge of nerd culture is like you are high
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: key like moving your way into like like a virgin
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: correspondent kind of territory, Like, yeah, I think we found
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: a filt. I can't wait. I accept. Throughout the this
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: whole kind of chat we've been having, I keep hearing
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: your mom like coming in through and through. So your
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: mom is also a nerd? Is that kind of Did
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: she induct you into Star Wars or did you choose
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: this life. She inducted me. But it was, you know,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: it's that thing where like that's why I'm you know,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: love makeup and dancing and all of that stuff, because
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: she was simultaneously introducing me to Madonna, star Wars, star Trek,
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Whitney Share and you know whatever else there was letting
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: me have my rocks off with my little Vultron. Oh yes, Vultron.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: So you know, it was she did a really good
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: job of raising me with um all of the grade
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: eighties pop culture references, very very well rounded, and I
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: gravitated towards s and l we were watching, you know,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: like Hannah Rosanna Danna, you know when I was a kid.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: So she gave me a really good, well rounded pop
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: education as a I mean, which is so important. Yeah,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: I do. I think maybe the person I haven't said,
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you know that's why I'm so universe and my likes
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: and my you know, things that I like to share
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: with the world and also lit things that I enjoy me.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I mean, your whole obviously, your whole family is iconic,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: but like your mom sounds particularly iconic. Like I wish
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: I had like a mom like that because I grew
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: up kind of opposite as like all the virgins already know,
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: like cultural vacuum, like very protected, like very like kind
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: of boring suburban life that like, you know, I didn't
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: experience all these things, which is why I'm being inducted
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: into all of them. Now. Oh so you're yes to
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: some extent. Yes, we switch roles sometimes sometimes the guests
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: the virgin, you know, we we play tag. But yes,
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: the conceit of the podcast was that I was the
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: virgin and still am. I've I've never had sex, and
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: then I'm the horror Yeah yeah, and I'm yeah, I
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: see that for you. Um, So we would be remiss
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: as not to talk about horror because you do have
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: an upcoming project and Rose and I are definitely horror buffs,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: maybe more so Rose than I. Um but I have
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: really gotten into horror, like the last four or five
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: years or so. Do you have favorite horror movies or
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: like things that were the impetus to your horror journey. So,
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: as a kid, it was Chucky scared the shit out
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: of me, like absolutely terrified me to the point of
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: where like I didn't sleep for like months, and for
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: some reason that was extremely attractive to me. I thought
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: that was awesome that I was scared shitless at seven
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: years old. So again, my mother, seven years old, let's
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: go see child's play. We saw. She showed me the omen.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: She showed me pet cemetery, cemetery, Zelda, Oh my god,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: so horrifying, exactly dark shadows. Like I was a kid
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: again with a full rell, well rounded pop culture education,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: and horror was definitely on the top of the docket.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: And so it just kind of made me obsessed with
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: horror for the rest of my life. And I think,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: you know, I'm a big James One fan, so I
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: love you know, Incidius and Cidius two, Conjuring U Malignant,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: like those kind of films. I'm a huge James One fan.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: I think he's great. And you know, basically anything A
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: twenty four I will consume these days. I mean I'll
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: watch anything We're Nicole Kidman's name, Like that's the chick
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: i'd switch for. I'm pretty sure that's the thing. Like
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I find Nicole Kidman to be the hottest person on
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: the entire earth. I am obsessed with Nicole Kinman. I
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: think she's so beautiful and everything that she does. Are
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: you a little by or it's just just by for
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Nico Kidman, not no whatever. I don't know how the
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Kinsey skill works, but I know you're like very far.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: Yes exactly I am. I am a point ooo three percent. No,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: when you say you would like go, when you say
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: you love Nicole Kinman, you mean like you can recite
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: the AMC monologue like not that exactly want to touch
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: her boobs? No, like because here, you know, like I
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: love that woman so much, and I love her fashion,
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: and I love watching her on a red carpet and
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I think she's just so fascinating and and she is
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: the one celebrity that I have met that I that
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: I flubbed. I flugged meeting I was. We were at
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: a Broadway show opening and I was at the bar
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: like getting a drink, and she was next to me
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and I looked and I went oh, and she went
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: and the right and she walked away, and I was like, no,
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: that sparking diamond. Did you did a fiara? I did?
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I was so mad at myself because I had so
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: many and I usually like, I'm so good with celebrities
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: and I and I always come with like the unconventional thing,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: you know, like when I met Sigourney Weaver, even though
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: I have an Aliens tattoo, I said, I loved you
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: in Heartbreakers because Florida, and you know what I'm saying.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: I was like, you're a comedian personal five device she was,
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: and she like, I was like, she wanted to talk
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: to me for three hours because that's the way I
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: entered with her, and I wasn't, like, Hi, I love
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: alien and she was great. Another one of them. So
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I always have something fun to say to celebrity when
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I meet them, and I had nothing. I was completely
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: unprepared for Nicole Kidman. And one day maybe this will
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: be the funny thing that I get to tell her.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: But as far as I know, she's the only one
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: that I've flubbed the meeting. Rose and I are definitely
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: you know, lighting a candle for your one day, uh,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: you know one, Nicole, putting you in my prayers. Okay,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: we're gonna role play a little bit, so right now
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I am Nicole Kidman. Okay, no, oh my god. Okay,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: see even this is making me nervous and she's not
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: even here. She's here. It's me. Let's see what say
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: of Tim Nicole Kidman in this place magic. Yeah we are. Um,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: I would just say Hi, I just want to I
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: want to tell you that, Um, you know, I've been
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: You're the only person in my entire life that I
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: actually have made me speechless because you and your work
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: so much and you have really inspired me to be
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: even more of a faggot. Thank you off. Yeah, I
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: love that. I can't do I can't really do it either.
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: On the hand, maybe what continental she really? It's funny
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: because she has, like you know, been in every decade,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: every half decade of our lives, like she has had
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: like prevalent pictures, prep like blockbusters, like iconic performances that
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: just like raised us, like Nicole Kimman raised us period. Right,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: I don't know what that one thing is. Yeah, I
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: don't know what that one thing is that I would
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: be like, this is the thing where we start the conversation. Yeah,
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: what would you so? I got to think about this. Oh,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: for me, it would be practical magic, like that is
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: we you know, you know that is like in many ways,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: my ultimate origin story is practical magic. And if I
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: ever met Nicole. Have I met Nicole? No, I haven't.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: If I did, I would um just tell her like
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: you are the reason I'm a redhead or something. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: oh I love that. That's a great entrance. Setine is
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: really what started it for me. It really was when
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: she descended from that ceiling, everything changed. It was over.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: It was over for me. How you just realized? You know?
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: But does she know? Does she know she's a gay icon?
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I hope she Yeah, I think she knows. Does she know?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Do enough gay people tell her that? I really? I
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: think so? The way she was acting on the Oscars
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Red Carpet, Yeah, I think she knows. Yeah. And the
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: the AMC now is getting the sequel? Did we hear this? Yes?
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I'm worried about it because like, of course I want more,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: but I also don't know that anything can compare to
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: the original because it was so It's like it was
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: like naive camp, you know, like they didn't go into
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: it hoping to make something like that. And so now
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: the Camp Camp now, yeah, but are they going to
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: do that right? Like will AMC do Camp Camp? Right?
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: You know, Camp and its purest forum is unaware of
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: itself and that's why the first commercial was so great.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: So when it's aware of itself, then it's like drag
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Race you know, or like just camp that's like aware
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: of it whatever. But like you know, it doesn't matter
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: because we're going to recite that and memorize that too.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: You know, I know they should have hired us to
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: write the sequel. Yes, honestly, well, Rose and I joke
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: that Nicole Kidman herself did write, direct and pitch the
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: AMC commercial herself. Yeah, much like Shaer doing West Side Story.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: She was. She was like the big boys. She did
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: the grip. She was in the editing room doing everything. Yep, exactly.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I mean does that first shot with the heels and
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: the puddle. It's just she also sewed the jumpsuit. She
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: sewed that jumpsuit. She was ryan stoning that thing. She
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: was like, she was like doing a drag race, drag
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: race unconventional materials challenge. She certainly was, Oh my god, Yeah,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: she's my everything. One day, I gotta work on the
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: Nicole Kidman pinch of it all. I gotta do it. Well.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Hopefully this Selt therapy was was good for you. Yeah, yes,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: we're putting it out into the unit. So that's going
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: to hop in. Okay, Um, so we have to ask
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: you to tell us about your upcoming project Summoning Sylvia. Yay, yeah, okay. Um,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: speaking of Naive Camp, I don't know if it's naive
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: Camp or camp camp, so but I will will. I
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: don't think I'm the one to say I think it's
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: that's supposed to be. Society has decide what that is.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: But um, it's pretty campy uh. It is a gay extravaganza.
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: So it is a gay bachelor weekend where we take
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: our best friend up to upstate New York where we
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: rent a haunted house and my character Nico decides to
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: have a seance to summon the owner of the house
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: the ghost that is believed to be haunting this house,
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: and then you know, insanity ensues from there. It is
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: an all LGBTQ plus leading cast, director, writer, creator, producer.
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: So um, it's just I think something that will hopefully
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: go down in queer film history one day, as as
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: as something that you know was entirely lgbt Q plus.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: You know, we're definitely seeing and I have to applaud
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: things like Knock at the Cabin that are like giving
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: us these amazing queer characters in horror. But it's definitely
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: the exception and not the norm. And we're always the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: first people to die. Still, you know, like there's still
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: no those stereotypes that I hope that this movie will
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: kind of break break for the world and hopefully people
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: will see it and be like, oh cool, we can
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: have an all queer movie and it could be for
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: everybody and it'll be great. Isooky, spooky or there thrills
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: and chills. So I'm going to put it in the
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: category of following comedy, thriller, horror, So in those in
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: that order, okay, yeah, in that order is how I
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: would put it. If you're a crazy horror fan and
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: you go, you might be like, well that wasn't horror.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: But if you're terrified of horror, absolutely you can go.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: So this is for most of My mom will be terrified,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: I mean, but I don't know. She'll get a couple
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: of jump scares, but no, I think of the overall
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: should like oh, so, would you say it's maybe in
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: like the Megan category of films? Yes, absolutely, great, great analogy.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: We love a comp I wish we had killing a
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: murder robot in ours, but well maybe in the sequel, yes, exactly,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: maybe there will be. In Summoning Sylvia, I'm like kind
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: of like racking my brain. There really are not enough
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: like gay horror thriller kind of moments. Like I feel
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: like it's like what is that. It's because like you know,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: this kind of like genre of films is already so
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: like relegated outside of like awards stuff and like not
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: considered serious genres, et cetera. Like you would think that
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: it would have more autonomy to like be super queer,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: supertrans or whatever. But I don't know, are there any
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: other kind of like gay horror stuff like you said
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: knock to the cabin, but is there anything else? So
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: much of it is coded and not correctplicit rank you thanks, silence,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: coded not explicit. Um often where the problematic character rather
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: than the solution solvers, if you will, you know, the
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: weird ones, um, you know, the odd balls. So it's
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: nice to just be us in a movie and be
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: able to just exist as gay people without it being
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: you know, so heavy handed or like have such a
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: large agenda. Our agenda is let's create a film with
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: all gay people and make it for everybody. But that's
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: our that's only agenda week that and also indoctrinate the
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: world into homosexuality, so that one day we are all well, yes,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: of course, yes exactly, so that you know drag queens
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: can come through. Yeah. Um, Frankie, do you believe in ghosts? Um?
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I I think I don't know. I go in and
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: out because I feel like at this point in my
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: life I probably would have had more for real experience,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: but um, apparently I don't. There's not I can't really
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: talk about this, but I think my husband and I
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: are going to be put into a kind of environment
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: with ghosts coming up that is supposed to be okay,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: continue so something. There is a project that we're working
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: on that might put me and my husband in a
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: ghost place. So I might have a different opinion moving forward,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: but for now I feel like I don't have enough
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: empirical evidence to support this. That is like the best
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: like celeb like you know, I can't say it, but
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it. She's like, I will be put
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: in a place one day with ghosts. I can't say where,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I can't say when. So random I know that is
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: We're gonna have to redact that moment about the ghost.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure my fathers is going to be like,
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: what the fucker like you? It's fine, just let him merit.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: It's cool. So, yes, I don't know. I'm looking forward
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: to getting a little bit more information on that. I
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: think as a kid, I was way, way, way more
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: open to this, and I think that it is something
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: where maybe like throughout your life, you can become more
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: a tune aware, open, and then you can close yourself
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: off and be like no, that was just the air
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: conditioning where it's literally like one of your spirit being like, yo,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: what's good. Don't go driving tomorrow, like you know, whatever
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: it is. Um So yeah, I think there it remains
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: to be seen, rights to be right now, I'm chilling.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: I don't think that there are ghosts are at the moment,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: but I do enjoy the idea of um spirits being
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: a part of my data people watching over you. I
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: like that. That is nice, that's comforting. You will definitely
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: have to get back to us though, if you discover
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: concrete evidence the ghost surreal. Yeah, yeah, we want we
