2 Minute Timeout: Do or die time for Tigers · The Auburn Undercover Podcast

• 0:00
It's about as do or die as you can get
• 0:02
for for Stephen Pearl and the Auburn
• 0:04
basketball Tigers as they head to
• 0:05
Tuscaloosa on Saturday. And um look,
• 0:08
they're still in the the last four first
• 0:10
four out according to Joe Lonardi. Um
• 0:14
but that's as of today. Um a loss in
• 0:17
Tuscaloosa would would end all chances
• 0:20
in my opinion of Auburn getting in as an
• 0:21
atlarge bid. So, um, other than winning
• 0:24
the SEC tournament, I think it takes a
• 0:27
win in Tuscaloosa for this team to make
• 0:29
the NCA tournament. And look, they
• 0:31
they've shown they can do that. U, but
• 0:33
it's going to take something special.
• 0:34
Um, and we saw Todd Pedford the last
• 0:36
game out, go off and play well. Um, and
• 0:40
I remember thinking back to last year in
• 0:42
Alabama winning in Auburn on senior day
• 0:45
and a guard having a special day to do
• 0:47
it. And I think that's what it's going
• 0:48
to take for this team is to have Tahad,
• 0:51
Keshan Hall, Kevin Over, and somebody
• 0:53
have a special day. And they they've
• 0:55
shown they're capable of doing that. But
• 0:57
  yeah, I just don't think a seven and 11
• 0:59
team is is going to get an large bid.
• 1:00
Eight and 10 with wins over Alabama on
• 1:03
the road, Florida on the road, Arkansas
• 1:06
at home, St. John's, NC State. Um that's
• 1:09
a pretty quality resume and I think that
• 1:11
would be enough, but I think it's going
• 1:13
to take that. And so, you know, for this
• 1:15
Auburn team, u you know, can they can
• 1:17
they respond? Um, and can they play like
• 1:21
that with their backs against the wall?
• 1:22
That's going to be something that you
• 1:23
look for for this team to see if they
• 1:25
can can answer the bell. Um, they've
• 1:27
shown they can do it. It's going to take
• 1:30
um probably the best effort of the year
• 1:31
because that's going to be an amped up
• 1:32
crowd that you're going against. And
• 1:34
hey, look, they've done it at Florida.
• 1:35
Um have to do it again in Tuscaloosa as
• 1:37
well. So, uh, one more opportunity for
• 1:40
them to go and see if they can, uh, put
• 1:42
another star on the resume heading into
• 1:45
the postseason. Go check out Bunkers of
• 1:47
  Auburn downtown. Awesome food,
• 1:49
atmosphere. Um, go watch the game there
• 1:52
on Saturday. They'll have it on the big
• 1:53
screens and tell them we sent you.
