  Very little this week, Jay. I think Linda and I have

  contracted new COVID, the brand new strain that's going around.

  So it's nice to be ahead of something.

  It's nice to be on trend. So that's what I think.

  That's what we both got. And it hit me pretty hard.

  Yeah. So this is me coming out of my

  foxhole for the first time in five days.

  We set the clocks ahead this very evening, Saturday, March

  Yeah, yeah. And this has come out one

  province that our great land has refused to do that.

  I think that's BC said that they're not doing this anymore,

  no more daylight savings, don't worry or they're keeping it to

  one time, they're not going to be switching really back.

  Yeah, that's just. So they'll probably, I'm

  guessing they'll come ahead with us and then when we go back,

  they'll just be two hours back instead of three.

  Otherwise, we'll be 4 hours ahead of them if they don't come

  ahead with us. So I think they would want that,

  had a meet up with friend of the show guest of the show, Craig

  Zabbits at the very wing place that we went to the crown and

  dragon. Yes, ended up sitting in the

  exact same table by pure chance, because Craig loves that ahead

  of me. Yep, and enjoyed I I've had some

  different wings this time than you and I had It was the I

  should have remembered. It's another dry rub, but it
• 3:03
  wasn't the, it was not the lemon rub that we had.

  And I quite enjoyed it actually a bit more.

  OK Craig had sauce. He had the peri peri sauce on

  it, which he enjoyed. I got what our move was the side

  of the butter Buffalo, which, yeah, that's a good sauce.

  That's a good one on the side. It really is.

  The fries, The gravy, the Bacardi and Diet Cokes.

  Craig had, I'm not sure what beer he had, but we did do and I

  took a photo and sent it to you, a shot each of Jameson that was

  in your honor because you couldn't be there with us.

  You had in fact cancelled. All of your weekend plans are

  being cancelled as you focus in on new COVID, which has taken
• 3:41
  really the bulk of your attention other than to record
• 3:43
  today. So it really has, Well, that's
• 3:45
  great to say. Was it the same lady that took
• 3:47
  care of us? Same server.

  Yeah, there was a gentleman. Everything was the same.

  Yeah, Irish gentleman that was there at the beginning.

  Yeah. Switched over to her.

  And then just as we were about to leave, he, his ride was

  coming to pick him up. That ride was going to be 15

  minutes away. So I end up having an extra

  drink that I might not have normally had.

  We went to a different table because we were at a table for
• 4:08
  four. They wanted to seat somebody.

  We'd already paid the bill. We thought we were leaving and

  so we're happy to do that. Went to a high top at the other
• 4:16
  front for one last quick drink before calling it an evening and
• 4:19
  I was home by 8. Something like it was.
• 4:22
  I met, we met at five and I was there at 8-8 something, so 3
• 4:26
  hours almost. That's yeah, that's a good hang.

  Yeah, Yeah. Nice.

  So. We caught up.

  And tell us about this exciting trip you and executive producer

  Linda Lebrun took. Yeah, we went to Fort

  Lauderdale, which is like, I think it's our favorite spot now

  outside of Toronto. We just had a blast.

  We were there for the week of Valentine's Day.
• 4:52
  We actually arrived on Valentine, Valentine's Day, went
• 4:54
  to, had a nice Mexican dinner to start the trip.
• 4:57
  But one cool hack that we have now discovered, and we're going
• 5:01
  to employ this on future trips, and that is finding a local gym
• 5:05
  and getting a couple of workouts in even though we're on
• 5:08
  vacation, but kind of. Really.
• 5:10
  Folded in to the vacation and we went.
• 5:13
  Linda found this place called Titan Gym in Fort Lauderdale.
• 5:16
  So shout out to these guys. Amazing old school bodybuilding
• 5:20
  gym. You walk in there, you can tell
• 5:22
  it was designed by a man. Everything is very.
• 5:26
  Testicles. Everywhere.
• 5:27
  It's just like plain, all the machines are, are, are like all
• 5:32
  clustered together. You have about, you know, I
• 5:34
  don't know, 3 inches of space between each machine.
• 5:37
  You're packed in there. There's mirrors everywhere.
• 5:39
  There are pictures of people who have worked out there in the
• 5:42
  past, you know, flexing or whatever, all over the place.
• 5:46
  Did you flex and get a shot for the wall?

  Yeah, if you. Did you they took a picture?
• 5:50
  For the no, I did not do that, but you could do that if you, if
• 5:54
  you if you follow them or tag them on Instagram, they will put

  your photo up there. I didn't do that, but it was
• 5:59
  really cool to see Very old school.

  There's no this is like the no frills of a weightlifting gym.

  It's just a classic. All you're seeing are like
• 6:08
  machines are a little bit dinged up plates, you know, the sound
• 6:11
  of metal clanging and stuff like that.

  It was just like there's no, there's no, it's not Altea.
• 6:16
  And I love Altea. As I've often said here on the
• 6:18
  on the show, it's not that, it's the.
• 6:20
  Complete to Altea. Yeah, it's exactly right.

  It's like the bizarro Superman. This is like the opposite of
• 6:27
  that. But this is just a place for and
• 6:29
  before I get to like there are there were many older men there
• 6:34
  in amazing shape. So me as now an older man, look
• 6:38
  at that and say this is what's possible.

  You don't have to shrivel up when you turn 5060, whatever.

  And there were trainers there working with people.
• 6:47
  I found like there was one woman in there and she was like
• 6:51
  absolutely jacked. Like looked like a competitor.

  OK. But that other than that, that
• 6:56
  was the only woman in there. It was really, it's really an
• 6:59
  old school bodybuilding gym. And Linda went there too.

  You both went. Yeah, we both, we worked out
• 7:04
  together. Yeah, great.

  We bought a a week pass which was 35 USD each and that gave us
• 7:09
  unlimited usage of the place we want.

  I mean, we didn't go every day. We went twice though and it was
• 7:15
  amazing. It was a really nice thing to
• 7:17
  add into the a vacation and we felt afterwards like we earned
• 7:22
  just lying around on the beach and having beers.
• 7:25
  So it was really cool. And it's something we're going
• 7:27
  to continue to do going forward when we go away for a week, like
• 7:30
  find a local gym and buy a, you know, a temporary week pass and
• 7:34
  yeah, get after it. It was really cool.

  And did Linda pre find this gym before you went or did?

  Was it after you got there you were.
• 7:41
  It was like a scouting mission. No, no, she found it before we
• 7:44
  went. She very, she like did a little
• 7:46
  bit of research. Yeah.

  She was like, you know, gym close to the hotel.

  It was like, maybe I mean, it's the state, so maybe it was a
• 7:52
  four, four to five mile drive, like not far, OK.

  And yeah, it was fantastic. The the everything about the

  whole experience was great. Like we really enjoyed it.

  And did you rent a car when you were there or was it an Uber?

  No. Oh, you were taking Ubers
• 8:07
  everywhere? Yeah, it was.

  It was a Uber palooza. Yeah.

  So anyway, Titan gym, check it out and we both got, you know, a

  souvenir tank tops because now that we've worked out there a
• 8:17
  couple Times Now we can represent here back in Toronto.

  So all right. That's awesome.

  a big box gym. There was none of that.

  It was everyone there was seriously into getting their

  pump on and then moving on with their day.

  It was really cool. It was like there was it was no

  bullshit. It was just what are we here to

  do? We're here to work, Let's go.

  Yeah. It was really inspiring.

  I found it really cool. Nice.

  All right, so that was an amazing week away.

  So why don't you catch our listeners up on part of the USA

  that you were in visiting? Yeah, a couple of weeks ago I

  was in Phoenix, AZ at the lovely, prestigious historic

  Wigwam Resort. Wigwam Resort?

  Hard to say. Not like Elmer Fudd.

  I was there for where I work. We had our annual summit where
• 9:59
  customers will come. There's about 200 people
• 10:02
  together. We were in Orlando two years ago
• 10:04
  for the first one I was at. Last year we were in Nashville
• 10:07
  and this year we were at in Phoenix, AZ.
• 10:10
  It was so beautiful. It was just, I've never been to
• 10:12
  Phoenix. Flight down was a bit tight.
• 10:14
  We were an Air Canada Rouge, but I had an aisle seat.
• 10:17
  I was smart enough to pre book my aisle seat as close to the
• 10:20
  flight as I could. So I was kind of last in because
• 10:24
  they've sort of bored the aisle people later.
• 10:26
  So I didn't have to, you know? Squish and have people.
• 10:28
  Climbing all over me and I was one of the first ones out when
• 10:31
  it was time to head out of the plane, which was nice.
• 10:34
  Well done. Yes, we ate our meals outside.

  We had cocktail hours outside. I got to emcee the event.
• 10:41
  I sent you some pictures from the event.

  So that was tell me about. Yeah, tell me about the

  experience of you hosting an event that would had 200 plus
• 10:47
  people there. It was incredible.
• 10:48
  I got to host it last year and so now I had to up my game again
• 10:52
  this year because I did a good job, a good enough job last year
• 10:55
  that I was asked to come back. I have to say that.

  Let me tell you about one of the bits that I did and I kept this

  one totally quiet and it worked really well.

  So my boss, the founder of our company had the 1st, you know,
• 11:05
  speech on day one. So day 19 AM he's up talking and
• 11:08
  part and one of his speeches is just the impact of AI.
• 11:11
  Certainly popular conferences today is, you know, what's going
• 11:14
  on with AI. So I said, wouldn't it be great
• 11:17
  since he's doing his speech on AI if I use ChatGPT to help
• 11:20
  introduce him? And so I pulled my phone out of
• 11:23
  my pocket and what everyone didn't know was I had this pre
• 11:26
  recorded. I had ChatGPT in the classic,
• 11:28
  you know, ChatGPT voice helped me out.
• 11:31
  So I had to pre record some lines.
• 11:33
  And so I had it sort of saying, Hey, I wanted my boss and you
• 11:36
  know, he's written, he's written a number of books and he's
• 11:38
  founded this company. And so I had to play a little
• 11:40
  bit with me. So I was like, Hey, please want
• 11:43
  to introduce my boss's name and I go just access the chat on
• 11:46
  him. I had ChatGPT go that guy, which
• 11:49
  killed it was a good Latin. Then I was able to go, no, no,
• 11:51
  not our private chat, the chat that we've prepared for the
• 11:54
  event. So then it was like, then it got
• 11:55
  into that. And then as I was going, I had
• 11:58
  had it kind of turn the bit on me because that's the way you
• 12:00
  want to do it. You want to make sure the
• 12:02
  speaker's the hero. And so I was like, I just had to
• 12:04
  go, you know? By the way, Jason, has he come
• 12:07
  back to you about that raise you asked for?
• 12:08
  And I was like, not yet. It's like, oh, well, I've been
• 12:10
  having a chat with him and he'd like to see you approve a few
• 12:13
  things, such as. And at that point, I close my
• 12:15
  phone and I say, well, I'll take it from here and let me just
• 12:17
  introduce. It was a good bit.

  I was, people were talking a bit.

  Yeah. So I had pre set that up.

  I directed ChatGPT a few day a few weeks before with these
• 12:26
  lines. And then I recorded them and I
• 12:28
  and I had the sound guy, we practiced it and he would hit
• 12:31
  the pause button between each one so I could deliver my lines.

  So I had my scripted lines and ChatGPT had its lines done.

  So work really well. Amazing.

  That's really good. If you have a conference that

  you're hosting on AI, anyone out there do a little ChatGPT bit It

  works. That was that.

  So that was a few days in the sun, mostly inside, but you

  know, it was 3 or 4 days there. Then I came.

  Back I was the food, by the way. I just wanted to ask.

  Barbecue, a lot of BBQ, really good Tex Mex, a lot of Tex Mex

  type stuff. So that was great.

  There was a pizza place. I had to find the pizza place on

  the resort. There's like lots of.

  So this resort was founded in the 30s as a place for Goodyear
• 13:07
  executives to have a retreat. It's like this huge golf
• 13:10
  courses, big pools, like all kinds of stuff.

  Everything's like the most there is is like some two-story
• 13:15
  buildings, but most of them are like just flat, one story kind
• 13:18
  of places, palatial kind of things laid out.
• 13:21
  And I guess Goodyear's given it up and it's become just a resort
• 13:24
  that is popular for conferences and popular for golf vacations
• 13:29
  and stuff like that. So it's really nice.

  You said wig. Wham.

  Is that like a native tribe? That I don't know.

  There was a historic walk one morning at 7:00, but I had to
• 13:37
  prepare for my speech so I didn't go for the historic walk.

  But had I, I would have learned probably about.

  That Did you spend any time at the pool?

  No, I spent no time. The pool is right outside my
• 13:48
  door, like my cabin where I was. So I heard the pool, but I was
• 13:52
  quite busy so I wasn't able to. I was able to I guess sat if

  there's a restaurant that's around the pool.

  So I definitely got to sit around if I didn't get to sit on
• 13:59
  chairs and really bring a bathing suit or swimsuit,

  whatever they're called these days.

  So I didn't do that, but I was, you know, I was, I was working.

  Yeah, yeah, it's different. You got, you got to sort of put

  on some air of, you know, being present, you know?

  Yeah, present for work as opposed to present lounging

  around the pool, Although I could have.

  There's nothing wrong with that. But yeah.

  Yeah. You know, would you recommend

  this resort as a place to visit on a non work related?

  You would. I'd go back, I said to all Doug,

  if we ever go to Phoenix, if we want to go to Arizona, go there

  like they've got like a great spa.

  They've got if you play pickleball, they have

  pickleball, they have tennis courts, they've got massive golf

  course. They're well known for their

  like multiple golf courses and. Was this in Phoenix proper?

  Just outside Phoenix. Was that not sure?

  Exactly. Yeah, somewhere.

  Yeah, I was there. There's like an affluent

  Scottsdale. Was it in Scottsdale?

  Scottsdale and it went through. We're about 40 minutes from the

  airport of at Phoenix. We landed in Phoenix and we're

  about 40 minute drive out, Yeah. I've heard that many people that

  visit Phoenix don't actually visit Phoenix.

  They visit Scottsdale, the the affluent suburb, and that's that
• 15:03
  Sounds like that's exactly where you were.

  Yeah. That's it.

  I think anyway, what else happened?

  Couple of things. Filmed a one day shoot on a Yeah

  feature that I'm going to be doing.

  It was a great one day scene. I sent you some pictures, my

  they. Were horrifying, by the way.

  Yeah. They don't make it.

  Out photos. It's a horror movie.

  It's going to be really cool. Some young film makers that are

  doing this. I got to be there with my my

  wife and our scene was, it's pretty brutal, but it was a lot

  of fun to film. And it was a one day.

  I needed me for one day and I was so happy to do it.

  I got my dates to go back to Japan.

  You know about that. It's going to be early April.

  I'm going to be there and then I'll.

  Be days again. 4 like 4 days. Like I land, I shoot for two

  days and then I fly. Back unbelievable that's.

  Going to be great. So that will finish that project

  and then I'll I can talk about that a bit more.

  Yeah, very exciting. So those are kind of update
