- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's fuck ya Friday!
- 0:01[SPEAKER_01]: Fuck you!
- 0:03[SPEAKER_01]: Get ready for some wins!
- 0:28[SPEAKER_01]: and it's the antidote to fear.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_01]: Each week my guess will bring bold, executable, intrinsic, and targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and be it until you see it.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's a practice, not a perfect, let's get started.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, babe.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_01]: Hello, happy FYF, our first one on March.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: Are you ready?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: Are you in it?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: Poo!
- 0:54[SPEAKER_01]: This year is just, it's going by.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_01]: There's luck on it.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_01]: Someone take it the same, but we're gonna start with some, something that was inspiring and cool that I found on the internet.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: So this is from her story, feminism.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Did you know women's athletics entered the Olympics because one woman forced the issue by building her own games?
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: meet Alice Milliet.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: In the early 20th century, women were largely banned from competitive athletics.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, we know.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_01]: But the Olympic community claimed a running jumping and throwing where dangerous for women's bodies, two, strenuous, two, un-feminine, two, much.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: So women were excluded officially and unapologetically.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Alice Milliet was a French sports administrator who if you're fused to accept that answer.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: She believed women were not fragile.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: They were restricted
- 1:42[SPEAKER_01]: In 1921, Alice Milliet founded the Federation, Sportive, Feminine, and International.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't say that other French accent, I am sorry.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Then she did something radical.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: She organized the Women's World Games International competitions where women ran, jumped through and competed at a lead level in front of crowds of tens of thousands.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: No permission required.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: The games were a success.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: They do athletes, spectators, and press attention, and suddenly the Olympics had a problem.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: Women's sports was thriving without them.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: Under pressure, the IOC agreed to include women's athletics in the 1928 Olympic Games but only a limited number of events and only after years of resistance.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: Once women were absorbed into the Olympic system, Alice Milliet was quietly pushed out.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: Thumman's world games were discontinued.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: Her organization dissolved.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: Her name faded from official history.
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: The institution kept the change the women who forced it disappeared.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: Of course.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: I was million didn't ask for inclusion, she built an alternative so strong it made exclusion impossible.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Women didn't enter the Olympics because attitude softening to because a woman proved the ban was unnecessary.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: History remembers the institution it forgets a disruption that forced it to change.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: So I am just...
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: obsessed.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_01]: And with, like, I just think that's so cool.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: But about us, it's so hard to do something scary and new.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Like that, but you know, it's for permission.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_01]: It just did it.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I think, like, isn't that being a till we see it?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: We don't actually need permission from anyone to do what it is that we want to do.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, just get to do it.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I just want to say, if there's something that you're waiting for someone to do, you were at the end of doing, I wouldn't, I would just go do it.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: And it's really scary.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: I get it.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're working on something right now that may or may not happen when it, when I is for sure happening, I will definitely
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: But part of me is like, oh my god, is this the right time who are we to do this?
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: We don't have like, like, we could do it, but like, you know, so just know that like you need all from you.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: The permission comes from you.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we're getting, this is my first FIFs that I'm recording.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think this year and I'm going, I'm definitely like getting back into this being a thing.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: So if you are, you're like, wow, she sounds a little disorganized.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: I am just a little bit.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so this is the FIFs, where this is where I actually share your wins.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: And you guys posted a ton of wins when I asked,
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: few weeks back.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to read a few of them for you.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I do your wins.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: And in my wins, I'm really weird just here to have a short time together where we go, whoa, look at all the bad asses that were sounded like like women.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: You guys are so amazing.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_01]: I know we have few good men who listen, thanks so much.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm really so proud of how we can constantly find wins in all the muck, right?
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: So this is from Yasmin.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: She said, my biggest win is one week without Instagram to focus on other things.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because I mean, the time I'm recording this, like I have to tell you right now, I actually haven't posted in days.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: I've just been kind of reposting from ProfilePly's and be it, tell you we see it, be it, I see it, and I'm like, what do we call it, be it, tell you we see it?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: That's a great effort.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: and I am loving it because I have to have focus on other things, like it's being the beast is annoying and so I'm so happy for you.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: What a, that is such a huge win by the way, because it's kind of addicted.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Rachel from Seattle, Rachel's five, she wrote, I skeed, taught Fantastic Classes and learned how to use earphones to record with Zoom for elevate.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, huge wins.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: You went out, took a break when scheme, you know, you had some fantastic classes that you, you taught like way to pat yourself on the back.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: I love that and then you learned how to use some
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: there's always something to be a beginner and it's so good for our brains to do that.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: So we to go, all right, one more one from you guys.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: This is from Annie Camine Pilates.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: My wins being present with my kiddos getting decent sleep, getting outside for movement and fresh air despite crazy winter weather.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know what, let me just say, you twin.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_01]: If you can do all of that with kiddos and crazy winter weather, you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're you're
- 5:14[SPEAKER_01]: Kicking ass.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: So you see how wins can be like something like so simple.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't do it.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_01]: So remember we like I am on a mission for more women to see that they are winning at things.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_01]: They're winning a life because the world is trying to tell us that we're not.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then you're doing that because if we ban it together, we'll kick some ass.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: We'd run the world.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: We've harnessed with the sun's energy.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's my yoga teacher set this morning.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I couldn't agree more.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: So let me tell you my win.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_01]: So, here's what we're talking.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: I have actually had my annual visit with my lady doctor.
- 5:44[SPEAKER_01]: I scheduled my MRI for my breast visits, and I met with a psychiatrist from my ADHD, and I met with a breast doctor about my high risk.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: So, I am just saying like,
- 5:54[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, it's March 6, and I've done all the important doctors appointments I need to do this year, and I just, I'm so proud of myself.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_01]: I call that a win, especially for someone who hates making phone calls.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I really do.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then the MRI was like, he's actually had a drive there because, like, scheduling over the phone is just a disaster with Dr. Dough has his days days.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_01]: In the year of our lower 2026, with all the AI in the world, you got to go in-person if you want to get an appointment that actually can be kept because,
- 6:20[SPEAKER_01]: If you remember last year, they rescheduled up multiple times because it kept you in schedule during someone's lunch.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_01]: How does that happen?
- 6:25[SPEAKER_01]: How does it happen?
- 6:26[SPEAKER_01]: Lunch is to be blocked out.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, my win is like we've got them all done, and it's only March.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: I've got a plan for this year.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm really excited.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'll share more about my ADHD journey as I have information for you.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_01]: But just freaking stoked.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: So now let's give you a mantra and send you on your amazing way.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: Every act of self care is a step toward my best self.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: What a fun.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_01]: mantra to draw on the state.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_01]: Every act of self-care is a step toward my best self.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, every act of self-care is a step toward my best self.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, every act of self-care is a step toward being until you see it, babe.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_01]: All right, you know what to do?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: Send this to a friend who needs to hear it.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Go send your wins into the beapod.com slash questions.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: You can send your questions there as well.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_01]: And then, you know, she has a step forward friend.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: I said that.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_01]: So, once you share that episode of the friend, then, you know, go be until you see it.
