- 0:00Speaker 1: Time now for back to the basics in healthcare with
- 0:01Speaker 1: Balance Life Chiropractic. We're here with doctor Harley and I
- 0:04Speaker 1: already predicted what we're going to talk about. But are
- 0:06Speaker 1: you going to throw me for a loop? No, we've
- 0:08Speaker 1: been working our way down the spine. I think we're
- 0:11Speaker 1: up to C five.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Is that right? We are on C five today, So I.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Say, last week was C four, so I assumed, but
- 0:17Speaker 1: you just never know. So how different is C five
- 0:19Speaker 1: from C four?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Well, they're part of like the mid point in our
- 0:24Speaker 2: neck and we start seeing more we were talking about,
- 0:27Speaker 2: like the brachial plexus side of things. C five is
- 0:30Speaker 2: a little bit more involved in the nerves, like the
- 0:32Speaker 2: radial nerve, the ulnar nerve, median nerve. C four is,
- 0:35Speaker 2: but it's at the top of the part of the
- 0:37Speaker 2: brachial plexus. So CE five's kind of right in the middle.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Obviously, I've never talked about the brachial plexus.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You might have.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I was like, I can't even say that. Yeah, yeah,
- 0:45Speaker 1: So I noticed on here this is broken into different
- 0:47Speaker 1: sections or some pelvis low back, mid back. And we're
- 0:49Speaker 1: on the neck region still, so we got long ways
- 0:52Speaker 1: to go, don't Well, he said.
- 0:53Speaker 2: There's thirty three segments in the spine. Cow.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We are set till like Christmas time.
- 0:57Speaker 2: That's the goal. There, I go. No.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Five, I see on here, says vocal cords, necklands, farnics.
- 1:03Speaker 2: What is a farm. It's like the back of your throat.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Of course, that's what I thought it was. So, so
- 1:09Speaker 1: the this is something that like if if I sound
- 1:12Speaker 1: funny or if there's something weird going out with my voice,
- 1:14Speaker 1: it could have something to do with my spine.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where we start get more of like the
- 1:17Speaker 2: upper respiratory type of things. Upper respirase, it's gonna be
- 1:20Speaker 2: like the back of your throat, back in your like nose.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Lower respiratory would be like into your lungs area.
- 1:26Speaker 1: So and I see it, says over here. Some of
- 1:28Speaker 1: the effects could be laryngitis, hoarseness, throat conditions, sore throat, tonsilitis.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Am I saying all those right, you are good too,
- 1:35Speaker 1: I practiced, So No, this is stuff I've heard of
- 1:38Speaker 1: all of those things. So I don't know that I
- 1:40Speaker 1: ever would have connected those things with oh, hey, you
- 1:43Speaker 1: need a chiropractic adjustment, but that very well could be
- 1:46Speaker 1: what's causing the issue, isn't it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: No, there are nerves that go to every aspect of
- 1:51Speaker 2: our body, so it makes sense if there is a
- 1:53Speaker 2: nerve irritated, that nerve where it's supposed to go, where
- 1:57Speaker 2: it functions. So if it's a nerve that goes to
- 1:59Speaker 2: the back the throat, the voice box, that we could
- 2:02Speaker 2: be seeing issues with those just from there being a
- 2:05Speaker 2: misalignment in the lower part of our neck.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Very nice, and then that connects to your vocal cords
- 2:10Speaker 1: or your neck lands or whatever, and that's what's causing
- 2:12Speaker 1: the little issue that you're hearing.
- 2:13Speaker 2: It's a very good boss, but a lot of times
- 2:15Speaker 2: those are more bacterial or viral. But even just we've
- 2:19Speaker 2: talked about that with the immune system, adjusting our spine.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Our nervous system helps with our nervousism and immune system
- 2:25Speaker 2: fighting off those buggies and helping you to feel better.
- 2:28Speaker 1: And how do you say this one here again?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Fair nix?
- 2:31Speaker 1: Fair nix? Now what does the fair nicks do?
- 2:33Speaker 2: This is like the back of the throat area, Like.
- 2:35Speaker 1: So just stying the tongue. You love that area, very nice,
- 2:40Speaker 1: and that's not you don't adjust that. You adjust a spine,
- 2:44Speaker 1: reach inside my throat we don't do that, Okay, all right,
- 2:49Speaker 1: good good. So but if you if you're having issues
- 2:52Speaker 1: that you come over and on C five you just
- 2:54Speaker 1: make some adjustments and boom a ban.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Maybe not quite that simple, but see five is also
- 3:00Speaker 2: an area we can start seeing a lot more arthritis
- 3:03Speaker 2: forming in our neck. As I said, that's kind of
- 3:05Speaker 2: the middle part of our curve where we should have
- 3:07Speaker 2: a C shaped curve in our neck. That as we
- 3:10Speaker 2: start having on a forward head posture we think student neck,
- 3:14Speaker 2: military neck, we lose a lot of that curve. So
- 3:16Speaker 2: now those areas are having more force put on them,
- 3:19Speaker 2: so we start seeing more arthritis in the five six
- 3:22Speaker 2: seven region. Very nice.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Well, we were talking about five today. We'll get to
- 3:26Speaker 1: six seven later.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sorry for the kids. Sorry parents, if you're
- 3:31Speaker 2: listening to this with your kids. That was for the kids,
- 3:33Speaker 2: all right.
- 3:33Speaker 1: So, if somebody is experiencing laryngitis or horses or any
- 3:37Speaker 1: of those things, if they want to reach out to
- 3:39Speaker 1: you and say, hey, I've got this stuff going on.
- 3:41Speaker 1: It might be this, it might be something else, but
- 3:43Speaker 1: they could set up a time to come in and
- 3:44Speaker 1: visit with you and find out because I'm sure there's
- 3:46Speaker 1: probably other questions too, right for sure.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Chiropractic is a great entry point if you aren't quite sure,
- 3:51Speaker 2: You like, I have something going on and I don't
- 3:53Speaker 2: really know where to turn. I don't know who to
- 3:54Speaker 2: go to. Chiropractors are trained in a lot of different
- 3:58Speaker 2: health areas that you might not have thought of it out.
- 4:00Speaker 2: We usually think neck pain, back pain, headaches, but it
- 4:03Speaker 2: can be kind of those weird random symptoms. You're like, oh,
- 4:06Speaker 2: I didn't know chiropractic could help with that. You know,
- 4:08Speaker 2: sit down with a chiropractor and you'll find out a lot.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Very nice if somebody would like to sit down with you,
- 4:12Speaker 1: since you are a chiropractor, how do they connect with you?
- 4:15Speaker 2: It's as simple as a phone call. Our phone number
- 4:16Speaker 2: is six year O five two one five one seven
- 4:19Speaker 2: eight five. Or you can read chato us on our
- 4:20Speaker 2: Facebook page or even of a book online option on
- 4:23Speaker 2: our website.
