- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Welcome to the net Palty.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Hi, this is Nick and Astas, you story editor on
- 0:09Speaker 1: Star Wars, The Clone Wars and Star Wars bad Batch,
- 0:14Speaker 1: and you are listening to Aggressive Negotiations.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Well, hello and welcome to Aggressive Negotiations. I am just
- 0:26Speaker 3: one of your hosts, Matthew Rushing, and I am so
- 0:29Speaker 3: excited to be back with none other than Jedi Master
- 0:34Speaker 3: John mills As. We're going to make a quick hold on,
- 0:37Speaker 3: hold on, excuse me, John, We're not going to make
- 0:41Speaker 3: it to our next stop, So I think we need
- 0:43Speaker 3: to stop on Navarro before we go any further, because
- 0:46Speaker 3: there is no way we are making it to our
- 0:49Speaker 3: destination to rendezvous with that Jedi.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Way to tease it out there, Matt because goodness knows,
- 0:55Speaker 2: I know, after our last adventure, I thought we were
- 0:57Speaker 2: going straight to seeing that Jedi. But Alas, we have
- 1:00Speaker 2: a stop off along the way that caught some of
- 1:03Speaker 2: us by surprise. But you know, did it delight Anybarty?
- 1:07Speaker 2: We'll find out as we discuss it here on Aggressive Negotiations.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yeah, we've got the siege we're going to be talking
- 1:13Speaker 3: about tonight. Like we said, we're stopping over there on Navarro,
- 1:18Speaker 3: we're going to catch up with Gita Carano and Carl
- 1:21Speaker 3: Weathers and see what's going there. But before we dive
- 1:25Speaker 3: into talking about the episode, of course, a quick reminder.

- 2:16Speaker 3: last but not least, if your old fogy's like us,
- 2:19Speaker 3: you can find us on Facebook at Facebook dot com
- 2:21Speaker 3: slash the nerd Party. So, John, and I mean we
- 2:25Speaker 3: teased it obviously. I think the episode right before this,
- 2:31Speaker 3: the Airess, we felt like we were going to jump
- 2:33Speaker 3: right to meeting this jedi Ahsokatano. It was teased there.
- 2:39Speaker 3: And yet the Razorcrest, being only partially repaired, is just
- 2:45Speaker 3: not going to make it to corve Us, and so
- 2:48Speaker 3: they make a stop on the Varro and have a
- 2:51Speaker 3: very interesting adventure. And so kind of coming back to this,
- 2:56Speaker 3: how did you feel about how, you know, just this
- 2:58Speaker 3: episode works because everybody's looking forward to this possibility of
- 3:03Speaker 3: meeting Ahsoka, I think, and yet you know we delay
- 3:07Speaker 3: that for this episode, And so first, do you think
- 3:11Speaker 3: that it works to do that instead of just going
- 3:14Speaker 3: to the promise right away?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Well, I think that it winds up working. I think
- 3:21Speaker 2: this was a tremendous risk to take. Honestly, I think
- 3:24Speaker 2: that this could have gone sideways, and I think that
- 3:28Speaker 2: what happens spoilers for our final thoughts or whatever. I
- 3:31Speaker 2: think that what happens is that they take a big
- 3:34Speaker 2: gamble and it winds up paying off because the episode
- 3:37Speaker 2: itself is so good that you wind up forgiving the
- 3:41Speaker 2: fact that I won't lie. Like revisiting season two, it's
- 3:45Speaker 2: still the initial reaction is oh wait, I thought no, okay,
- 3:52Speaker 2: But then once the episode gets going, you're like, okay, cool,
- 3:55Speaker 2: all right, and you wind up digging it, and then
- 3:56Speaker 2: there's some tremendous action that happens in it, so you
- 4:00Speaker 2: wind up forgiving it. And I think that they, in
- 4:04Speaker 2: a sense, they luck out. This is like a football
- 4:06Speaker 2: team calling a play that starts off with like a
- 4:09Speaker 2: reverse and you're like, what are you doing? And then
- 4:12Speaker 2: the guy looks like he's about to get tackled ten
- 4:14Speaker 2: yards in the backfield, and you're like, oh, come on,
- 4:16Speaker 2: and then they turn it into a first down, and
- 4:17Speaker 2: you're like, well, yeah, that was a brilliant play. That's
- 4:20Speaker 2: my impression of this episode.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I think that the interesting part about
- 4:25Speaker 3: this episode is that not only do I think that
- 4:28Speaker 3: it turns into a first down, I think this episode
- 4:32Speaker 3: actually turns into a touchdown because of the way in
- 4:35Speaker 3: which they made sure that if you don't have this episode,
- 4:39Speaker 3: you're missing key pieces of information that play importantly into
- 4:44Speaker 3: the overall hole of this series. You know, the first
- 4:47Speaker 3: three seasons, in a lot of ways, are all playing
- 4:52Speaker 3: on you know, what is this child? You know, and
- 4:58Speaker 3: what was the of the Empire trying to do with
- 5:02Speaker 3: this child? And how does that play in maybe to
- 5:08Speaker 3: the larger hole of the you know, Star Wars Galaxy
- 5:13Speaker 3: in general, and this episode, I think rightly, if you
- 5:17Speaker 3: are going to keep us from going to Ahsoka right away,
- 5:22Speaker 3: this episode had to do those type of things, like
- 5:25Speaker 3: you said, so it's you come away from it feeling
- 5:29Speaker 3: like it's a win instead of, oh well that was
- 5:33Speaker 3: just a waste of time, you know. And I think
- 5:38Speaker 3: it's interesting because as we tell these kind of serialized
- 5:43Speaker 3: stories these days and television, not all shows have kind
- 5:47Speaker 3: of figured out how to do this. Well, you know
- 5:50Speaker 3: the Mandalorian from at this point, from season one and
- 5:54Speaker 3: now into season two, there are episodes that are connected,
- 5:58Speaker 3: but you can pop in and watch each episode for
- 6:02Speaker 3: its own story. Yeah right, And again that's a tricky
- 6:07Speaker 3: line to walk because you want every episode to have
- 6:12Speaker 3: a story in and of itself, but then you also
- 6:15Speaker 3: need it to connect to the whole. And I think
- 6:17Speaker 3: this was the episode where here in season two, this
- 6:22Speaker 3: one had to feel like there was going to be
- 6:24Speaker 3: some overarching importance to it or you were just going
- 6:29Speaker 3: to be very frustrated as a viewer.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Now, speaking of frustrated, I want to go ahead and
- 6:34Speaker 2: I want to I love using this phrase. I picked
- 6:36Speaker 2: it up along the way from a speech Robert Downey
- 6:39Speaker 2: Junior gave that he took from Mel Gibson. I think
- 6:42Speaker 2: where let's hug the cactus here? Okay, And by that
- 6:46Speaker 2: I mean I have to ask, did you see the
- 6:51Speaker 2: infamous half a crew member in the background the first
- 6:56Speaker 2: time you watched this episode or did you miss it?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Because I think I totally missed it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Okay, good because I was gonna come clean, because I
- 7:04Speaker 2: was gonna be like until people started talking about it online.
- 7:07Speaker 2: I was like, what the hell are you talking about?
- 7:09Speaker 2: And then everybody's like, yo, look look at this picture.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Look at this picture. But then like, of course they've
- 7:13Speaker 2: gone and digitally changed it. Now. Don't you think that
- 7:18Speaker 2: that's a testament to how good the episode is, that
- 7:23Speaker 2: the action is good enough in that scene that most
- 7:27Speaker 2: people didn't notice that crew member, that half a crew
- 7:30Speaker 2: member in the background, Like I just I think it
- 7:34Speaker 2: winds up being a weird compliment to how the show
- 7:37Speaker 2: comes together. Because my eye was where it was supposed
- 7:40Speaker 2: to be, which was on the action, not scrutinizing the background.
- 7:44Speaker 2: So I think two things are at play. One I
- 7:47Speaker 2: was engrossed with the action, and two I guess my
- 7:49Speaker 2: television at the time wasn't good enough to catch that,
- 7:52Speaker 2: or like it wasn't I enough resolution or something. But
- 7:56Speaker 2: it's just it's so wild how that became really the
- 7:59Speaker 2: thing that this episode is known for. Do you think
- 8:01Speaker 2: that that's detracted at all from people's estimation of it?
- 8:05Speaker 2: Do you think that people have lost Do you think
- 8:07Speaker 2: people have lost the episode overall because this viral moment
- 8:14Speaker 2: caught on?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I think that that's an interesting question,
- 8:20Speaker 3: And I would say, you know, at least for me personally,
- 8:23Speaker 3: going back, you're watching the episode so we could talk
- 8:26Speaker 3: about it this evening. I don't even think about that, honestly,
- 8:32Speaker 3: Like I kind of forgot that that happened until you
- 8:35Speaker 3: actually brought it up to talk about because to me,
- 8:38Speaker 3: you know, this episode is one of those where I'm
- 8:42Speaker 3: so much enjoying all the little world building applications to
- 8:47Speaker 3: this episode, where it's you know, Navarro has become a
- 8:50Speaker 3: place where people actually want to live. You know, it
- 8:54Speaker 3: gives us a taste of what life is like in
- 8:56Speaker 3: the galaxy, you know, for people like kids at school,
- 9:00Speaker 3: and like they're all these just little moments that I
- 9:03Speaker 3: think give us just a hint as to what life
- 9:08Speaker 3: looks like outside the control of the Empire. And why
- 9:13Speaker 3: then this episode where you see the threat of the
- 9:16Speaker 3: Empire and its presence here on Navarro that it could
- 9:22Speaker 3: ruin you know, kind of this. It's not utopia, but
- 9:25Speaker 3: it's just everyday life of the human beings being and
- 9:30Speaker 3: the different species from around the galaxy. You choose to
- 9:32Speaker 3: make this home or even a place just to stop by.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I think to me, there's just so much to love
- 9:40Speaker 3: about this episode and it doesn't even have to do
- 9:43Speaker 3: with the major implications that we get for the larger
- 9:47Speaker 3: series as a whole. I just really enjoyed actually being
- 9:51Speaker 3: able to experience that even again, uh here with these characters.
- 9:59Speaker 3: And and two what I thought was great is that
- 10:03Speaker 3: this was a place where, you know, Star Wars has
- 10:07Speaker 3: always been really good at This is where you pick
- 10:09Speaker 3: up characters later on and you could tell a bunch
- 10:13Speaker 3: of backstories happened, but they don't give you all the details, right,
- 10:17Speaker 3: And so Grief Karga and cardoone here have spent you know,
- 10:23Speaker 3: a certain amount of time where we don't quite have
- 10:26Speaker 3: the amount of time because Star Wars is also good
- 10:28Speaker 3: at fudging time, right, And they've cleaned up this town
- 10:31Speaker 3: and they've made this town a place that people want
- 10:33Speaker 3: to be, uh And I love that because again, it's
- 10:38Speaker 3: so quintessentially Star Wars. Clone Wars would do it. You know,
- 10:41Speaker 3: all the animated shows have done this in some way.
- 10:44Speaker 3: The movies did it right. You know, we meet Anakin
- 10:47Speaker 3: ten years later and you know he's he's now on
- 10:50Speaker 3: the cusp of possibly being a Jedi knight, you know,
- 10:53Speaker 3: and then this big war starts. That The way that
- 10:58Speaker 3: this episode plays into all those aspect of Star Wars,
- 11:01Speaker 3: I just think is really rich and really smartly done.
- 11:05Speaker 3: And is this probably everybody's favorite episode of the Mandalornian No,
- 11:10Speaker 3: But I think it's all of those moments to which
- 11:12Speaker 3: make this an enjoyable episode on top of all of
- 11:17Speaker 3: the other stuff that really matters for the series as
- 11:21Speaker 3: a whole.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Well, speaking of series and continuity and story bits and
- 11:25Speaker 2: everything like that, what did you think of the hint
- 11:29Speaker 2: of Snoke's theme as they saw a cloning chamber? Did
- 11:33Speaker 2: you take that in the moment as Oh my gosh,
- 11:35Speaker 2: they're trying to build the Snoke storyline into this, or
- 11:39Speaker 2: did you take it as something completely different?
- 11:42Speaker 3: So I just you know, this is one of those
- 11:44Speaker 3: places where I thought to myself, Oh, I think what
- 11:49Speaker 3: they're they're telling us in this moment is that the
- 11:54Speaker 3: technology of cloning is still something that people are playing
- 12:00Speaker 3: with for nefarious purposes. And you know, by this point,
- 12:08Speaker 3: you know, we have gotten episode nine. Yeah, and so
- 12:14Speaker 3: I think that's the thing that was actually kind of
- 12:17Speaker 3: interesting to me is that they're subtly, and I do
- 12:21Speaker 3: mean it's subtle, right, that they're setting up this idea
- 12:24Speaker 3: of cloning technology to clone people who have high medicalryan counts,
- 12:31Speaker 3: and that is really interesting, really fascinating. You know, I
- 12:34Speaker 3: just re listened to every single one of the original
- 12:37Speaker 3: Throng trilogy books in audiobook format. Fantastic job, Mark Thompson.
- 12:42Speaker 3: It was really great to go by he is.
- 12:44Speaker 2: He is so freaking good.
- 12:46Speaker 3: It's talented man, so talented. But re listening to those stories, right, obviously,
- 12:52Speaker 3: cloning has such a big part of that story, as
- 12:57Speaker 3: does cloning Jedi, right and those that are powerful in
- 13:02Speaker 3: the Force, and you know, Zon even then was coming
- 13:06Speaker 3: up with things that made that incredibly difficult to get
- 13:11Speaker 3: right and and for it to work. And so the
- 13:16Speaker 3: idea here then that they're playing with you know, what
- 13:20Speaker 3: would it be like to try and you know, clone
- 13:24Speaker 3: people with force powers or possibly pass on force powers
- 13:29Speaker 3: to somebody who didn't have it. You know, all of
- 13:32Speaker 3: that isn't it. I mean that is just absolute great
- 13:34Speaker 3: fodder for Star Wars in general. And the fact that
- 13:37Speaker 3: it had any kind of connection to what the sequel
- 13:40Speaker 3: trilogy had done was also just like it just felt
- 13:43Speaker 3: like a night's touch where it was like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:46Speaker 3: we know that that might not have been your you know,
- 13:49Speaker 3: your favorite bag in Star Wars, but we're gonna do
- 13:52Speaker 3: what we can to ameliorate it and try and make
- 13:55Speaker 3: it make more sense. Well.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I just love the fact that when you look at
- 13:59Speaker 2: this episode in that little hint and all the cloning
- 14:02Speaker 2: stuff that's being dropped here, the when you work it
- 14:07Speaker 2: in with say The bad Batch, which we both agree
- 14:09Speaker 2: is just top tier Star Wars. Yes, Like what happens
- 14:14Speaker 2: to KMin OANs really plays into this because if you're
- 14:20Speaker 2: a casual and you haven't watched The bad Batch, no
- 14:23Speaker 2: matter how much your husband might have said no, no, no,
- 14:25Speaker 2: you gotta watch it, you gotta watch it, but you're
- 14:27Speaker 2: maybe just whatever, Man, I keep fighting for the battle.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I don't always win anyway.
- 14:34Speaker 3: You gotta fight the good fight, man, you gotta fight
- 14:36Speaker 3: the good fight.
- 14:37Speaker 2: But there's enough in this episode for the casuals to say, oh, cloning,
- 14:42Speaker 2: for the next tier to say, oh, cloning, and that
- 14:45Speaker 2: looks like it might lead to snoke and then for
- 14:48Speaker 2: you know, it's like that that meme with the brain,
- 14:51Speaker 2: different parts of the brain activating, and then like the
- 14:53Speaker 2: last panel is like, oh my gosh, this ties into
- 14:56Speaker 2: the camin OANs getting wiped out and nobody's left who
- 14:59Speaker 2: could do this type of and that's why they're so
- 15:01Speaker 2: far behind and they're trying to get things done and
- 15:02Speaker 2: it's not going quite right because you know, I contextualize
- 15:07Speaker 2: it within all of those story points, and I'm like, man,
- 15:09Speaker 2: how different does maf Gideon and the Imperial Remnant move
- 15:17Speaker 2: if what happened to the canon, like if the Cameon
- 15:20Speaker 2: Owens getting wiped out doesn't happen because with the camon
- 15:24Speaker 2: Owens have just gone along with it and been like
- 15:26Speaker 2: you remember, because remember what Dexter jetter says. He says,
- 15:28Speaker 2: you know, basically, so long as you can pay, you
- 15:31Speaker 2: know how big your pocketbook is. Yeah, So you know,
- 15:35Speaker 2: what do you think about the inversion though, of the
- 15:38Speaker 2: Outer Rim? Is this lawless place and it's not really
- 15:41Speaker 2: an inversion, but like previously, the Outer Rim in the
- 15:46Speaker 2: original trilogy was where you went to escape the Empire,
- 15:49Speaker 2: and now the Empire is going to the Outer Rim
- 15:51Speaker 2: to escape the Republic. So do you think that there's
- 15:54Speaker 2: like sort of a rhyming there of whoever the outlaw is,
- 15:59Speaker 2: the Outer Rim is all going to be where they are,
- 16:01Speaker 2: no matter who's in power.
- 16:03Speaker 3: I think that completely makes sense. Look, you even think
- 16:05Speaker 3: of our own history here in America, as industrialization and
- 16:10Speaker 3: cities became bigger and bigger in the East, the push
- 16:13Speaker 3: was to go west, and the West was a place
- 16:16Speaker 3: that was kind of known for it being lawless. You know,
- 16:20Speaker 3: there wasn't anybody there to tell you what to do.
- 16:23Speaker 3: And so I think that applies here even to then,
- 16:26Speaker 3: that logic and that understanding of history. Yes, as civilization
- 16:31Speaker 3: grows in a certain part of the world, the lawless
- 16:36Speaker 3: and those who are looking to kind of be able
- 16:39Speaker 3: to do their own thing without anybody looking over their
- 16:41Speaker 3: shoulder is always going to get pushed to the fringes.
- 16:45Speaker 3: And you know, I think that is really really interesting
- 16:51Speaker 3: and it makes a lot of sense. And so for
- 16:54Speaker 3: that to be the case, then here in the Mandalorian
- 16:59Speaker 3: and in time of the New Republic, you get it.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Get the because the goal of the New Republic, and
- 17:05Speaker 3: we've kind of seen it a little bit already in
- 17:07Speaker 3: the season, right with the X Wing pilots that we've
- 17:10Speaker 3: already met. They're trying to keep the peace and they're
- 17:15Speaker 3: trying to uphold the law in this area where they're
- 17:19Speaker 3: covering way too much ground. They don't have enough people
- 17:21Speaker 3: to do it, and it's incredibly difficult. And so yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 3: I love that that that's the case here, and I
- 17:30Speaker 3: think that just makes the storyline really interesting. But also
- 17:37Speaker 3: I think what it does is it really helps us
- 17:39Speaker 3: understand you know, like the character of Grief Cargo, right,
- 17:43Speaker 3: he wants this to be a place that people want
- 17:48Speaker 3: to come to, that can become a major trading center,
- 17:52Speaker 3: that that can open up this part of the galaxy
- 17:55Speaker 3: because it's known for its law and order, which I
- 18:00Speaker 3: think is incredibly interesting. And again, what it's doing is
- 18:06Speaker 3: that same thing, right, that the EU did back in
- 18:10Speaker 3: the day. It's helping us to understand what does it
- 18:14Speaker 3: look like to put the galaxy back together after it's
- 18:18Speaker 3: been controlled by an empire. And you know, if you
- 18:22Speaker 3: read those books, not all the books were galaxy spanning
- 18:26Speaker 3: and involved everyone, you know, going to die if we don't,
- 18:30Speaker 3: you know, get this right. And so the Mandalorian in
- 18:35Speaker 3: that sense is one of those stories. And we've already
- 18:37Speaker 3: seen it so far where it's like we're slowly creeping
- 18:41Speaker 3: into more and more relevance to the larger portion of
- 18:44Speaker 3: the galaxy, but we're we're going to take our time
- 18:46Speaker 3: getting there. They're not rushing it, you know. Yeah, And
- 18:49Speaker 3: I think that's the thing that's making this you know,
- 18:53Speaker 3: it sets the foundation for the show to really be
- 18:58Speaker 3: its own thing before it kind of branches out into
- 19:02Speaker 3: the larger galaxy, you know, to be able to step
- 19:05Speaker 3: out into that much larger world.
- 19:09Speaker 2: So much larger world, much larger action set piece. I
- 19:13Speaker 2: think in this one that I mean the Airists. We
- 19:16Speaker 2: have a huge action set piece, right. We have the
- 19:20Speaker 2: Gazantie cruiser, we have the storming of it, we have
- 19:23Speaker 2: the flight sequence, we have the swooping down, very large
- 19:28Speaker 2: and expansive, And then this episode we have another large
- 19:32Speaker 2: and expansive action sequence, not just with storming the Imperial
- 19:39Speaker 2: the hidden Imperial base, but also the chase through the
- 19:42Speaker 2: canyon on the troop carrier that anybody old enough remembers
- 19:47Speaker 2: the toy that inspired it and how we all wanted
- 19:49Speaker 2: it and we were jealous of all of our friends
- 19:51Speaker 2: who had it and we didn't, because life is unfair kids,
- 19:55Speaker 2: just so you know. So, do you think that the
- 19:59Speaker 2: action takes it up another notch here? Like, is this
- 20:03Speaker 2: like an action sequence that you could rewatch over and over?
- 20:07Speaker 2: Is this one that you thought was good enough, this
- 20:09Speaker 2: chase sequence, or do you think this is you know,
- 20:11Speaker 2: one of the one of the greats that they put
- 20:14Speaker 2: together here.
- 20:17Speaker 3: I think the fun of this is that it creates
- 20:23Speaker 3: that sense of the chase sequences we've seen in all
- 20:27Speaker 3: of the original Trilogies movies, you know, where you're on
- 20:31Speaker 3: some sort of speeder bike, or you're going through an
- 20:34Speaker 3: asteroid field, or you're in a death Star trench. You know,
- 20:37Speaker 3: this is kind of combining all of those elements, right.
- 20:41Speaker 3: It's a better version of the speeder chase that you
- 20:45Speaker 3: get in the Rise of Skywalker. You know, they fly now,
- 20:51Speaker 3: they fly now, they fly now, Yes, we know, and
- 20:56Speaker 3: so yeah, I think this is great. And the facts that,
- 21:00Speaker 3: of course that they play with the toy that we
- 21:03Speaker 3: all loved, you know. I mean, I think I think
- 21:07Speaker 3: that's one of the things that made the Mandalorian resonate
- 21:11Speaker 3: with fans is that it felt like people who loved
- 21:17Speaker 3: Star Wars making Star Wars the same way we did
- 21:23Speaker 3: as kids with the toys on the floor in our bedroom,
- 21:28Speaker 3: and and they're just getting to do it on a larger,
- 21:33Speaker 3: richer scale. And I think that's what makes like a
- 21:38Speaker 3: chase sequence like this so fun, because if you had
- 21:41Speaker 3: that troop carrier and you had a tie Fighter, you know,
- 21:45Speaker 3: and you had like your Luke Skywalker character and your
- 21:49Speaker 3: Han Solo character, you know, you probably got them in
- 21:52Speaker 3: the troop carrier that they stole and they're trying to
- 21:54Speaker 3: get away from the speeder bike Imperial and a tie
- 21:59Speaker 3: Fighter come in, and like you're doing all that stuff,
- 22:02Speaker 3: and that's that's the fun and kind of joy. And
- 22:06Speaker 3: I think that's what makes the Mandalorian just feel so alive,
- 22:11Speaker 3: because I also feel like there's that sense of you know,
- 22:13Speaker 3: the animated shows did that too, where it's like, we're
- 22:17Speaker 3: gonna throw the craziest wild thing at you in this
- 22:20Speaker 3: show man, and it's something you've always wanted to see
- 22:24Speaker 3: in Star Wars, but we're doing it. We're doing it,
- 22:27Speaker 3: and they do that in this episode and I think
- 22:30Speaker 3: it works fantastically and a big part of that has
- 22:33Speaker 3: to do with Carl Weather's being in the episode. Carl
- 22:36Speaker 3: Weathers directed this episode. It's great direction. You get Cara
- 22:40Speaker 3: Doune back, and Gina Crano is really growing into the
- 22:43Speaker 3: role here, and those characters with Mando, and because of
- 22:48Speaker 3: their history together, it was really fun to have them
- 22:51Speaker 3: all together again in this episode. And I think that's
- 22:54Speaker 3: one of the things that, along with the revelations we get,
- 22:58Speaker 3: it reminds you of all all the fun you had
- 23:00Speaker 3: in the first season and it builds off of that
- 23:03Speaker 3: with these characters by allowing you to see how far
- 23:05Speaker 3: they've come now. And if you ask me, I feel
- 23:09Speaker 3: like that's good writing.
- 23:12Speaker 2: It is so I mean, I think we agree high
- 23:15Speaker 2: marks across the board for this, and but by the
- 23:19Speaker 2: end of it, we're stoked. We're like, Okay, come on,
- 23:22Speaker 2: I want to see the Jedi now. I want to
- 23:24Speaker 2: see a sooka, which I think now is a good
- 23:28Speaker 2: time for us to wrap up, because we got to
- 23:31Speaker 2: get there. We got to get there, and I have
- 23:35Speaker 2: so many questions as well, especially because as we're going
- 23:39Speaker 2: into the next week thinking about it in terms of
- 23:43Speaker 2: the fact that there were casuals watching who had no idea.
- 23:47Speaker 2: Who Ahsoka Tano is yeah, and it's like, what a
- 23:53Speaker 2: what an incredible setup and universe linker and expander that's
- 23:59Speaker 2: on the way, So so on our way there, Matt,
- 24:01Speaker 2: where can people find you out there in the wilds
- 24:04Speaker 2: of the internet.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Well, goodness, yeah, go back and watch this episode. Just
- 24:09Speaker 3: do yourself a favor and feel the joy. You're not
- 24:13Speaker 3: going to be sorry, But you can find me all
- 24:15Speaker 3: over social media and then the Matt rashings there two.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Of course, here in the network, we've got a show
- 24:19Speaker 3: called owl Posts talking about every single chapter of the
- 24:22Speaker 3: Harry Potter series, one chapter time. You can also find
- 24:25Speaker 3: me on the TFM network doing a bunch of shows
- 24:27Speaker 3: talking about Star Trek with my good friend Chris Jones.
- 24:29Speaker 2: And then I'm.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Also doing the six oh two Club as we talk
- 24:32Speaker 3: about all of those franchises outside of Star Trek that
- 24:35Speaker 3: we love John Mills is a frequent guest over there
- 24:38Speaker 3: as well as others. And yeah, we you know, we
- 24:40Speaker 3: mentioned the Throng books and John, we talked about all
- 24:42Speaker 3: three of those years back we did before The Force
- 24:45Speaker 3: Awakens came out to get Ready. So if you want
- 24:48Speaker 3: to check out our conversations there, you can do that.
- 24:50Speaker 3: But John, you know, if people want to, you know,
- 24:53Speaker 3: see what your recipe is for those baby Yoda macaroons.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Where can people find you?
- 24:59Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, just do not eat them when you
- 25:01Speaker 2: have when you're gonna be going on a flight, especially
- 25:04Speaker 2: when with turbulence. I wouldn't recommend. It will mess up
- 25:07Speaker 2: your your cloak. So you can find me out there
- 25:10Speaker 2: peddling that recipe as Castle Junkie on your social network
- 25:14Speaker 2: of choice. I love my time on Letterbox because I
- 25:18Speaker 2: love watching movies and I love logging them. So let's
- 25:21Speaker 2: go meet on a social media network where people don't
- 25:24Speaker 2: fight about anything. Really, it's a pretty magnificent place. But
- 25:29Speaker 2: you can also find me here on the network, co
- 25:31Speaker 2: hosting with Darren Moser and Tristan Riddell House Lights, a
- 25:36Speaker 2: movie director podcast. We have a lot of fun with
- 25:40Speaker 2: it and we challenge each other to see movies we've
- 25:42Speaker 2: never seen before, and it's a lot of fun. So
- 25:45Speaker 2: with all of that said, I actually have an idea
- 25:48Speaker 2: for a new ingredient in the baby blue macaroons. I mean,
- 25:53Speaker 2: you know, honestly, I mean, wouldn't you say they're more
- 25:56Speaker 2: of an aquamarine or a teal, this sort of color,
- 25:59Speaker 2: you know, that sort of thing. Maybe maybe I might
- 26:03Speaker 2: want to remove the artificial coloring that might be part
- 26:06Speaker 2: of the issue with what happened with the cloak. But
- 26:08Speaker 2: I think it's time to close these negotiations.
- 26:10Speaker 3: John, negotiations are closed. Join the Revolution, Join the Nerd Party.
