Latest / FPL Pod / S7 Ep25: FPL Pod: Bruno Fernandes an easy sell?
Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: For the final time. In twenty twenty four, FPL Pod
- 0:04Speaker 1: is back. We tried to solve the headaches of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: festive period. We've got Sacca and Bruno replacements, keeper conundrums,
- 0:09Speaker 1: and my Newcastle and Palace could be the teams to target.
- 0:17Speaker 1: We're in that awkward point between Christmas and New Year
- 0:20Speaker 1: where no one has a clue what day it is,
- 0:22Speaker 1: and probably this podcast coming out now has confused you
- 0:25Speaker 1: even more. Yes, FPO Pod back with you. We are
- 0:27Speaker 1: usually with you on a Thursday, but it's Saturday, twenty
- 0:30Speaker 1: eighth of December. The game week finished on Friday. There's
- 0:34Speaker 1: another game week that gets underway on Sunday at one
- 0:37Speaker 1: pm on the twenty ninth of December. That is, so
- 0:39Speaker 1: we're back with a preview pod for you. Julianner on
- 0:42Speaker 1: Sam Bonfield with you. Firstly, I think also that bit
- 0:45Speaker 1: of the Christmas where I don't know what to say
- 0:47Speaker 1: Happy Christmas or Happy New Year exactly at the midway points,
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm going to say, I hope you had a nice
- 0:53Speaker 1: Christmas and I hope you have a good New Year. Christmas,
- 0:56Speaker 1: Happy New Year? Did you have a good one?
- 0:58Speaker 2: Firstly, Sam, Yes, it was really, really lovely, thank you
- 1:01Speaker 2: very much. I seem to have managed to put my
- 1:03Speaker 2: back out during it, which was great fun. The last
- 1:05Speaker 2: couple of days. I think it was sitting on the
- 1:07Speaker 2: floor wrapping presence that did it. But otherwise it was lovely.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Having kids around the Christmas is always magical, isn't it,
- 1:12Speaker 2: because they get all excited. So that was lovely. My
- 1:16Speaker 2: FPL team and my football club not so lovely. But
- 1:21Speaker 2: you know, we'll take the we'll take the winds with Christmas.
- 1:23Speaker 1: At least I was going to say, you can ignore that,
- 1:25Speaker 1: but for the next forty minutes or so, you absolutely
- 1:29Speaker 1: and joeles you got rid of the grinch mode. You
- 1:32Speaker 1: embraced Christmas. You took the kids away, didn't you. You
- 1:37Speaker 1: were you were very they were spoiled.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah, we went to look for Santai himself and in
- 1:45Speaker 3: plants really north, really called very snowy. But it was
- 1:49Speaker 3: an amazing trip so that everybody was very happy.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Okay, well, everyone sounds like they've had a lovely Christmas,
- 1:55Speaker 1: which is important. But as Sam said, we do have
- 1:57Speaker 1: to discuss the FPL side of things. As I said before,
- 2:01Speaker 1: there's a deadline on Sunday. It's all very weird. It's
- 2:05Speaker 1: a one pm ninety minutes at a two thirty match
- 2:08Speaker 1: between Leicester and Manchester City, so we need to get
- 2:11Speaker 1: ready for that. But let's just reflect on what santed
- 2:14Speaker 1: to bring us in terms of FPL points. Jules, you
- 2:16Speaker 1: had a pretty good week, the best out of all
- 2:18Speaker 1: of us.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, bad Girl seventy six. There's a lot
- 2:21Speaker 3: of things that worked out and I think it could
- 2:23Speaker 3: as always with all of us, it could have been
- 2:25Speaker 3: even even better. But a very strong defense, Henderson in goal,
- 2:29Speaker 3: returning obviously not conceding Saliba Louis Hall as well, and
- 2:33Speaker 3: then for my first part defensively, it was either Robinson
- 2:36Speaker 3: away at Chelsea or Auri at home too much to United. Yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 3: and I really toyed with the idea of one or
- 2:44Speaker 3: the other pretty much for a long time, and I
- 2:47Speaker 3: just thought that United would score. I didn't think they
- 2:50Speaker 3: would be that bad against Wolf like they were, and
- 2:53Speaker 3: I did think that for them would concede, but maybe
- 2:55Speaker 3: Robinson would get an attack in return, maybe more than
- 2:58Speaker 3: aid Nouri considering the new approach with the Wolves coach,
- 3:02Speaker 3: things like that, and I was just I was just wrong.
- 3:04Speaker 3: So that's a bit of a shame. But then Salah's captain,
- 3:08Speaker 3: although Palmer would have got me a few more points.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And then I think the big coup for me was
- 3:12Speaker 3: Isac coming in, which was great because it's called Kunia
- 3:16Speaker 3: that I kept because he's still not suspended somehow, so
- 3:19Speaker 3: he's there and was outstanding in at United. And he
- 3:21Speaker 3: could have been even better for both of those because
- 3:23Speaker 3: I think Isa could have easily have two or three goals,
- 3:25Speaker 3: and so so was Kunya. And then for Soaka, I
- 3:29Speaker 3: went for Martinelli, and again it was one I wanted
- 3:31Speaker 3: an Arsenal attacker, so it was either other guard Trosa
- 3:34Speaker 3: or Martinelli. I thought, oh, the guard would not be
- 3:37Speaker 3: the same with Asaka, and to be fair, it wasn't.
- 3:39Speaker 3: You could see that there was just not his usual
- 3:41Speaker 3: fluidity and the flow, because I think without Soaka he
- 3:44Speaker 3: is a little bit lost. So it was between Trossa
- 3:46Speaker 3: and Martinelli, and I just hesitated for a long time,
- 3:49Speaker 3: and I had picked the wrong one in Martinelli.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I in the end didn't sell Socca because I
- 3:54Speaker 1: wanted to wait to see what Arsenal looked like without him.
- 3:59Speaker 1: He was probably one I would have gone with Jews Martinelli,
- 4:01Speaker 1: I think, But yeah, we'll talk about Arsenal in just
- 4:04Speaker 1: a moment. Sam. As for you, you went for Lewis
- 4:06Speaker 1: Diaz to replace with i Osaka and that went really
- 4:09Speaker 1: a big plug of tea. And you've shook your head
- 4:12Speaker 1: regretting that one already, or do you think there's more
- 4:14Speaker 1: like it's not just about one game week. We say
- 4:16Speaker 1: it all the time.
- 4:17Speaker 2: No, and I knew it was a risk. I didn't
- 4:19Speaker 2: expect his dad to be poorly, which I don't think
- 4:21Speaker 2: helps the case for him starting. Yeah, it was one
- 4:25Speaker 2: of those weeks where I knew, I knew it was risky,
- 4:28Speaker 2: but I wanted an extra Liverpool player for both the
- 4:31Speaker 2: weekend and also or the midweek and then the weekend
- 4:34Speaker 2: that we've got about to come up. So I kind
- 4:37Speaker 2: of feel like, well, now, surely at least he gets
- 4:39Speaker 2: the start against west Ham, which given they've got goalkeeper
- 4:43Speaker 2: Dramas after Fabianski's injury, maybe it is a good thing.
- 4:47Speaker 2: So I'm sort of all right with it. It just
- 4:49Speaker 2: meant Morgan Roger just came off the bench, which I
- 4:53Speaker 2: mean it's two points off the bench. I guess that's fine.
- 4:56Speaker 2: My big bug bear was obviously the Bruno fer Ander's
- 4:58Speaker 2: red card because I was cooking dinner at the point
- 5:01Speaker 2: when that went in and my my mother in law
- 5:03Speaker 2: came in and she was like him, Lee told me
- 5:04Speaker 2: to tell you that there's been a red card in
- 5:06Speaker 2: this game.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, that is harsh for me.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Already.
- 5:14Speaker 2: She's lovely. So she's lovely, my mother in law, and
- 5:17Speaker 2: she gets you. And I was like, he's only told
- 5:20Speaker 2: me that because we have this thing about not telling
- 5:22Speaker 2: each other bad news.
- 5:23Speaker 1: So when something happens.
- 5:24Speaker 2: That affects one of our fbl teams, I'll just go
- 5:27Speaker 2: to him, Oh, there's there's been a goal in like
- 5:30Speaker 2: whichever game it is, and he'll be like, is that
- 5:32Speaker 2: your way of telling me that my player is like conceded.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I'll be like, yeah, So this was his way of
- 5:36Speaker 2: telling me that Bruno got record. That was not happy at.
- 5:39Speaker 1: LASTA you have enjoyed Bruno's points for I was recently
- 5:42Speaker 1: I felt a bit sorry for the people that bought
- 5:43Speaker 1: Bruno Hi for soccer.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Because that was a really popular transfer. So yeah, I'd
- 5:48Speaker 2: had him for a while anyway, and a kind of
- 5:51Speaker 2: part of the reason for not going for an Arsenal
- 5:53Speaker 2: player instead of soccer, Like you guys, we're thinking about
- 5:56Speaker 2: it because I likewise just didn't really know which one
- 5:58Speaker 2: to get and I wasn't sure where to go. So
- 6:00Speaker 2: in the end I thought, well, I'll free up the
- 6:02Speaker 2: Arsenal spot and then I'll have time next week, as
- 6:05Speaker 2: in going into tomorrow's deadline to work out how to
- 6:08Speaker 2: triple back up in Arsenal.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Again.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Tough, isn't it.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, But now I've obviously got Brune Fernandez to deal with,
- 6:14Speaker 2: so I'm still not quite sure what I'm going to
- 6:17Speaker 2: do because in my head maybe going for one of
- 6:19Speaker 2: the Arsenal attackers might have been the strategy that I
- 6:22Speaker 2: was going to take, or another defender, but now I
- 6:25Speaker 2: need to deal with the midfield issue. So yeah, it
- 6:27Speaker 2: was Look, it was actually fine. I think it was
- 6:30Speaker 2: a red arrow by about two k so it was nothing.
- 6:33Speaker 2: It's not really it's not really worth being read for.
- 6:36Speaker 2: But I was just so frustrated because had Bruno just
- 6:38Speaker 2: not been sent off, it's a green arrow and it's fine,
- 6:42Speaker 2: but I think when you bring in a player who
- 6:44Speaker 2: then doesn't play a minute and have another one get
- 6:47Speaker 2: sent off, it's a bit frustrating. But there were some
- 6:49Speaker 2: good wins in there. The double Arsenal defense was great
- 6:52Speaker 2: again another clean sheet for those two had whole brought
- 6:55Speaker 2: in ESAC, which was the right thing, so that, yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 2: there was any of good stuff in there. It's just
- 7:02Speaker 2: a bit spoiled by Bruno Fernandez getting a red card
- 7:05Speaker 2: on Boxing Day. That wasn't the Christmas present I wanted
- 7:07Speaker 2: from him.
- 7:08Speaker 1: My game week was ruined by watching Brighton Brentford Live,
- 7:12Speaker 1: watching Fleck and make. I think it was seven saves
- 7:15Speaker 1: or six saves or something, and then it was maybe
- 7:18Speaker 1: it was a lot of saves. It was six, wasn't
- 7:20Speaker 1: it yet? It was a lot, and then of course
- 7:22Speaker 1: before half time he went off, so at least he
- 7:24Speaker 1: got a save point, but I think he's still got
- 7:27Speaker 1: three points. Actually was really bad. Wasn't bad considering he
- 7:30Speaker 1: came off, But of course he did eventually get the
- 7:32Speaker 1: elusive clean sheet that I've been so patient and waited for.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And now it looks we obviously don't know, but it
- 7:37Speaker 1: doesn't look great for his injury.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Would have been a massive hall But at least you've
- 7:40Speaker 2: got Vladimarson as your backup goalkeeper, whereas a lot of
- 7:42Speaker 2: people have got Fabianski as their backup goalkeeper and then
- 7:46Speaker 2: you've got goalkeeper drama.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I say, what, We'll talk about goalkeepers in just a moment,
- 7:49Speaker 1: because as you said, there might be quite a few
- 7:51Speaker 1: people looking for new goalkeepers. I also got some points
- 7:54Speaker 1: through Gabrielle and Kirkiskun. You returned again, Esak. Also watching
- 7:58Speaker 1: Brighton Brentford, I think I really at some point need
- 8:01Speaker 1: to get rid of Pedro, but I think there's a
- 8:03Speaker 1: few headaches in my team to sort out before I
- 8:05Speaker 1: do that, because yeah, Brighton loss, that's got in touch
- 8:07Speaker 1: at the moment. As that game proved just an update
- 8:09Speaker 1: on our mini league. Then between us guys, Sam is
- 8:13Speaker 1: starting to really look over her shoulder. She must be
- 8:15Speaker 1: grateful there was returns for the Arsenal defense because I've
- 8:18Speaker 1: only got one Arsenal defender, and of course she's got
- 8:20Speaker 1: Raya as well. Because I'm now only seven points behind Sam.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Sam's on one thousand and ninety nine, I'm on one
- 8:26Speaker 1: thousand and ninety two. Jewels is on one thousand and
- 8:29Speaker 1: sixty seven, so only thirty three points behind Sam and
- 8:33Speaker 1: only thirty five behind me. So no, that's not right.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I can't do math.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Thirty five behind me. My mass was going so well
- 8:39Speaker 2: and moment.
- 8:40Speaker 1: No, okay, so it's thirty two points fine, Sam, and
- 8:44Speaker 1: twenty five behind me. Okay, you're a bit close to
- 8:46Speaker 1: me than I realized, Jewels, but that's definitely right. So yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 1: Jewels actually went above Ian who is still in our
- 8:51Speaker 1: mini league and he's on one thousand and sixty three points.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So yeah, it's cooking up nicely. Going to be an
- 8:56Speaker 1: exciting second half of the season. We're at one point Jewels.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Sam looked out of reach. We reeled her back in,
- 9:00Speaker 1: haven't we.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but we know that's that's the way it happens.
- 9:04Speaker 3: And you just need a good few weeks in a
- 9:06Speaker 3: row where you've got this in total and and that
- 9:09Speaker 3: that helps massively. And then and this is what's great
- 9:13Speaker 3: about the game, that anything can change pretty quickly.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, I was at three point eight million in
- 9:18Speaker 1: game week eleven. I'm now up to eight hundred thousands.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I think it is. So it just shows you you
- 9:22Speaker 1: have to persevere. And because I could have after Game
- 9:25Speaker 1: week eleven, I was like, I'm one for my worst
- 9:26Speaker 1: season ever. I still am, but I could salvage something
- 9:29Speaker 1: from it. So it just proves all it takes for
- 9:31Speaker 1: games to go. Yeah, and that is without a chip
- 9:33Speaker 1: as well, of course, so in the second half of
- 9:35Speaker 1: the season you can really kind of push up with
- 9:37Speaker 1: the use of chips. Manager, don't forget about that by
- 9:39Speaker 1: the way, et cetera, et cetera. Again, then we're checked
- 9:42Speaker 1: in on Armory League, the mini league that you guys
- 9:43Speaker 1: join in with as well. Charlie Shepherd is still at
- 9:46Speaker 1: the top and that's actually despite him selling in Cunia
- 9:49Speaker 1: and Sam. It could have been worse. You could have
- 9:51Speaker 1: had Jeran as well. Charlie had him and managed to
- 9:54Speaker 1: survive at the top potentially listened to Jules's Charlie, yeah
- 10:00Speaker 1: to Cune you got twelve so yeah, fourteen points swing there.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Max Little Proud has now cut the gap. In fact,
- 10:06Speaker 1: he's cut the gap. They're on the same points, so
- 10:08Speaker 1: Charlie's only how does it get decided? Sam at the
- 10:10Speaker 1: top when you're locked on points. I think it's to
- 10:12Speaker 1: do with transfers made across the Okay season. I was
- 10:17Speaker 1: going to say it can't be cold difference. Maybe it could,
- 10:19Speaker 1: but yeah, Max's team, by the way, I got seventy
- 10:21Speaker 1: one points this week. He brought in Trent and Soar,
- 10:23Speaker 1: which didn't go to plan, but still did really well.
- 10:26Speaker 1: James White and his team Joelington enjoy her back up
- 10:28Speaker 1: into third twenty six points off the leader. As a
- 10:31Speaker 1: reminder of the code for the PROBLEMNI League's Q seven
- 10:33Speaker 1: y COO the letter zero the numbers, So do join
- 10:37Speaker 1: if you haven't already. Okay, then let's dive a bit
- 10:40Speaker 1: more into game week eighteen. We've touched upon some of
- 10:42Speaker 1: the talking points already. Firstly, let's go with some of
- 10:45Speaker 1: the negatives in terms of the Bruno red card sam
- 10:49Speaker 1: As we already mentioned, he was a popular replacement for
- 10:51Speaker 1: soccer two hundred and forty five thousand managers brought him in.
- 10:55Speaker 1: He's now banned for game week nineteen and will return
- 10:58Speaker 1: for a tricky looking fixture again, it's Liverpool in game
- 11:01Speaker 1: week twenty. What are you doing and what would you advised?
- 11:03Speaker 1: Managers do?
- 11:04Speaker 2: So I feel slightly differently about Bruno because obviously I've
- 11:08Speaker 2: had some good points returns out of him over the
- 11:10Speaker 2: last few weeks, so I don't feel quite as quite
- 11:13Speaker 2: as negative maybe as some managers do. But he is,
- 11:15Speaker 2: as you know, Keirls because I've been talking about it
- 11:17Speaker 2: a lot on here, a player that I've been thinking
- 11:19Speaker 2: about transferring out anyway, simply because it means I can
- 11:23Speaker 2: free up budget because there are other Manchester United players
- 11:25Speaker 2: if I want to go there, who are far less
- 11:30Speaker 2: expensive and fit into that midfield a lot nicer. But
- 11:32Speaker 2: when you look at the fixtures, as you say, it's
- 11:34Speaker 2: Newcastle and Liverpool next, there's a nice game in there
- 11:36Speaker 2: against Southampton, but then after that Brighton, Fulham, Crystal Palace,
- 11:39Speaker 2: Spurs Everton, the run isn't great for them in terms
- 11:44Speaker 2: of the fixtures. So for me, he's going to be
- 11:46Speaker 2: a cell. The question is where am I going to
- 11:49Speaker 2: go from there? And there were some there were some
- 11:51Speaker 2: impressive displays in game week eighteen, and some midfielders that
- 11:55Speaker 2: I was kind of looking at. But I think I'm
- 11:57Speaker 2: going to use this as an opportunity to target in
- 11:59Speaker 2: some of the fixture runs that some of the clubs
- 12:01Speaker 2: have coming up, in particular Crystal Palace or Everton, maybe
- 12:06Speaker 2: even Fulham, and then invest there a much lower basis
- 12:10Speaker 2: because then that means maybe I can take a little
- 12:12Speaker 2: bit of a fun punt somewhere else on the pitch
- 12:15Speaker 2: with somebody expensive. So for me, my recommendation would be
- 12:18Speaker 2: you sell Bruno. Now I think apart from that Southampton game,
- 12:21Speaker 2: which actually isn't until the end of January anyway, the
- 12:24Speaker 2: way the fixtures pan out, then I don't think that
- 12:28Speaker 2: there's anything else to hold him for there, particularly given
- 12:31Speaker 2: you're missing the next one and then he's coming back
- 12:32Speaker 2: in for Liverpool.
- 12:33Speaker 1: It's Snydel. What would you do with him, Jules, if
- 12:36Speaker 1: you owned him?
- 12:39Speaker 3: I mean, I didn't really understand why so many people
- 12:40Speaker 3: brought him in. I won't lie.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I'm the same. I'm the same, I.
- 12:43Speaker 3: Really I don't. I mean, Samon silly Sam was quite
- 12:47Speaker 3: a while ago, so it's a.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Bit different, and she did it around her World card time,
- 12:50Speaker 1: where she had a plan to get rid of if
- 12:52Speaker 1: you needed to.
- 12:54Speaker 3: But United, I've just lost five out of seven of
- 12:58Speaker 3: the last seven, and the two no competitions and the
- 13:00Speaker 3: two day one they want, they want them both really late,
- 13:02Speaker 3: the monster Damby and then Victoria plays and in the
- 13:04Speaker 3: europe League in the eighty eight minute. So it's not
- 13:07Speaker 3: like if they said the world on fire already, that
- 13:09Speaker 3: Bruno was amazing, that going forward they were great and
- 13:12Speaker 3: creating a lot of etcetera. You know, he was. This
- 13:15Speaker 3: is not it, and it's not like if it was
- 13:17Speaker 3: in form even going into this this game. Okay, yeah,
- 13:19Speaker 3: I know it's it's had a few returns, but he
- 13:22Speaker 3: was not playing that great and neither was his team.
- 13:24Speaker 3: So I never really understood why so many people bought
- 13:27Speaker 3: him on for this game week that just passed, So
- 13:31Speaker 3: I would I would not have invested in him if
- 13:32Speaker 3: you have now. I don't see anything good coming out
- 13:36Speaker 3: of United in the next few weeks anyway. I think
- 13:38Speaker 3: it will take that much longer for them to get
- 13:41Speaker 3: it right that I would probably say.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Okay, another red card. John Juran, As we mentioned, Jus
- 13:49Speaker 1: is differential last week.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Pick he's your best one?
- 13:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, absolutely, it did look.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Like we were starting to get another forward where some
- 13:58Speaker 1: of the other ones maybe falling off in terms of form.
- 14:01Speaker 1: It did feel like that was a really good pictures. Yeah,
- 14:03Speaker 1: and he was getting the starts ahead of Olli Watkins,
- 14:06Speaker 1: which is something that we just haven't seen. He's cheap
- 14:08Speaker 1: as well, but he's now going to be out for
- 14:10Speaker 1: three matches. Should we consider Watkins again? Obvious he's a
- 14:13Speaker 1: little bit more expensive.
- 14:15Speaker 3: So I think John Duran was a little bit unlucky.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I personally, I didn't I was not too sure about
- 14:23Speaker 3: the red car now don't appealed the HAPPI has been rejected.
- 14:26Speaker 3: So they were hoping that he would get less than
- 14:28Speaker 3: three games three game ban it will be three, which
- 14:31Speaker 3: is a long time. And I mean, I guess the
- 14:33Speaker 3: guys for so hard to get his starting place in
- 14:36Speaker 3: that team ahead of Oi Watkins, which is not an
- 14:38Speaker 3: easy thing to do, and he did extremely well to
- 14:40Speaker 3: get there. And now this is all going to the
- 14:43Speaker 3: bin basically because only Watkins will have three games to
- 14:46Speaker 3: show that he should be the number one again, et cetera,
- 14:48Speaker 3: et cetera. So sorry for the guys who invested in
- 14:51Speaker 3: John Duran. I almost did it too. To be fair,
- 14:53Speaker 3: I don't know if Watkins is the answer either, because
- 14:56Speaker 3: to be fair, when he came I mean, I know
- 14:57Speaker 3: he came on and they were down to ten, et cetera,
- 14:59Speaker 3: et cetera. But I don't think you're lablaying that great either.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I know they had a bit of a better form
- 15:05Speaker 3: of late, but I would go somewhere else than Olie Watkins,
- 15:09Speaker 3: especially at his surprize.
- 15:10Speaker 1: It's a bit tough with the forwards. It feels like
- 15:12Speaker 1: at the moment, because you do you still both own Evanilson.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You sold him, which was a brilliant move because he
- 15:20Speaker 1: didn't start. He came on for a one point, cameo Sam.
- 15:23Speaker 1: He's a bit of a problem now, isn't he.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah. So one of the things that I'm thinking about
- 15:27Speaker 2: doing is it was very close for me between selling
- 15:30Speaker 2: jel Pedro and selling Evanilson. In the end, I sold
- 15:33Speaker 2: jel Pedro just because I was so frustrated by his
- 15:35Speaker 2: returns and maybe he was a bit unlucky to stun
- 15:37Speaker 2: the pitch, to be quite honest, yesterday as well. So
- 15:39Speaker 2: if I'd had two red cards in my team, that
- 15:41Speaker 2: would have been absolutely not a Christmas present I wanted.
- 15:45Speaker 2: But so I kept Evanilson, and then when he wasn't starting,
- 15:47Speaker 2: I was like, well, sort of not surprised because actually
- 15:49Speaker 2: they've they've looked good when he's gone off weirdly, and
- 15:52Speaker 2: they've they've scored goals at that point. But in saving
- 15:55Speaker 2: money from Bruno, I can easily afford to go to
- 15:57Speaker 2: even Nelson, to Watkins. So that is something I'm considering
- 16:01Speaker 2: for the next three weeks because the next three weeks
- 16:03Speaker 2: are actually quite nice for for aston Villa. It's brighton
- 16:06Speaker 2: Lester and Everton, so should be some opportunities in there
- 16:10Speaker 2: for some good returns for him, because I'm finding the
- 16:12Speaker 2: forward line a bit difficult because I quite fancy the
- 16:15Speaker 2: Fulham forward line, but then it's so difficult to know
- 16:18Speaker 2: whether you would go him and a Muniz, so that
- 16:21Speaker 2: kind of rules them out for me. You've got Mateta
- 16:23Speaker 2: at Crystal Palace, who again I'm thinking about, but I
- 16:26Speaker 2: really like the ESA and Ismaela star picks in the middle,
- 16:29Speaker 2: so again that kind of rules Mateta out for me.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Like it's hard, so I think picking new forwards right now,
- 16:38Speaker 2: maybe I go Jackson, But then Jackson's form has just
- 16:41Speaker 2: disappeared over the last few weeks.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Came off. He came off when Chelsea were really pushing
- 16:46Speaker 1: for a second in that game. Obviously they went on
- 16:48Speaker 1: to lose two one and he came off.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So that's that I'm finding difficult to navigate
- 16:55Speaker 2: as well, because I really like the Chelsea fixtures. I
- 17:00Speaker 2: really like Jackson, but just the form just hasn't hasn't
- 17:05Speaker 2: been there, So it is hard with the frontline. I
- 17:08Speaker 2: think for me right now, a punt on Olie Watkins
- 17:10Speaker 2: for the next three weeks given there's no risk of rotation.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Now actually feels like something I might do because at
- 17:17Speaker 2: eight point eight million he is affordable. When he was
- 17:21Speaker 2: nine it was a little I know it's only point
- 17:23Speaker 2: two million, but it's still hard to find point two
- 17:25Speaker 2: million here and point two million there. But with the
- 17:28Speaker 2: Bruno money now not really needed, going from Evanilson up
- 17:33Speaker 2: does make sense. Or I could go from Selanki up
- 17:36Speaker 2: because yes, I've still got them Silanki and my team,
- 17:38Speaker 2: but Evan Neilson feels like a bigger priority sell for
- 17:40Speaker 2: me than Slanki does.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Yeah, the four was are interesting jowls, aren't they? Because
- 17:44Speaker 1: the ones that you kind of want to iron. Two
- 17:46Speaker 1: of them I've got in terms of Matteus Kunya and
- 17:48Speaker 1: Alexander Esak who you guys now both irown copying me
- 17:51Speaker 1: as usual. But Kuna is an interesting one because we've
- 17:54Speaker 1: been waiting to hear from after that charge with the
- 17:57Speaker 1: FA last week. We still haven't heard anything. He's obviously
- 17:59Speaker 1: played and returned in the last two games. They play
- 18:02Speaker 1: Spurs this weekend, so for me, if we don't hear,
- 18:04Speaker 1: I would like to risk it because Spurs don't have
- 18:07Speaker 1: many defenders available for that game playing and he's got
- 18:10Speaker 1: the form, so if he's available, you can't really sell him.
- 18:14Speaker 1: And then the other four the other full work, but
- 18:15Speaker 1: you wouldn't invest in him at the moment either because
- 18:17Speaker 1: you don't know what, if when that band's going to come.
- 18:19Speaker 1: So I feel quite lucky you almost wonn him. And
- 18:21Speaker 1: then the other forward is Alexander Esak that we've all got,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and he's pretty much the best forward in the game
- 18:27Speaker 1: right now, isn't he.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he is. He's probably the best striker
- 18:30Speaker 3: in the league full stop right now in terms of
- 18:32Speaker 3: form if you don't come Mosala really as a as
- 18:34Speaker 3: a striker, he was outstanding in that in that game
- 18:38Speaker 3: he scored one against down to ten, as we've been saying,
- 18:42Speaker 3: but he could easily have had two or three plus
- 18:44Speaker 3: an assist or two as well. He's just so good
- 18:47Speaker 3: all around. And I think newcasts will have that momentum now.
- 18:50Speaker 3: I think that up to fifth maybe in the table
- 18:51Speaker 3: or sixth uh and and I think he's a very
- 18:56Speaker 3: it's not it's not, it's more than interesting. I think
- 18:59Speaker 3: he's a must have right now really, especially as more
- 19:03Speaker 3: and more managers are selling Earling Holland and I think
- 19:06Speaker 3: again this week, Simon's Higland for or Isaac for Holland
- 19:10Speaker 3: I don't know which way we put it.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Is the most the most popular transfer combination, that's.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Right and rightly so, I mean, right now, you would
- 19:17Speaker 3: not keep Harland or missus penalty. And he's seemed that
- 19:20Speaker 3: as one one in thirteen was Sack. He's absolutely on fire.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, it does feel like it's Esac plus
- 19:26Speaker 1: the other two whoever you want to go with. Let's
- 19:29Speaker 1: talk continue the theme of sorry headaches, and it's a
- 19:32Speaker 1: theme that Sam often has a problem with goalkeepers. It's
- 19:35Speaker 1: actually now me much right now, it's actually probably me
- 19:38Speaker 1: that has the bigger headache with goalkeepers at the moment.
- 19:40Speaker 1: As we mentioned, fleck And went off injured and then
- 19:44Speaker 1: of course as well, Fabiansky was subbed off for west
- 19:47Speaker 1: Ham through the concussion protocol and therefore he won't feature
- 19:51Speaker 1: in game week nineteen. A lot of managers have both
- 19:53Speaker 1: of these goalkeepers, so people might be shopping for a
- 19:56Speaker 1: new goalkeeper. Firstly, if you're like me, Sam, and you've
- 20:00Speaker 1: got Flecken and then Vadam Marsen as your backup goalkeeper,
- 20:03Speaker 1: would you just play Vadam Marsen. The one thing I
- 20:05Speaker 1: would say is Breakfast's fixtures don't look nice.
- 20:08Speaker 2: They don't look nice, but it does mean it's not
- 20:10Speaker 2: a priority position to change, I think, because there will
- 20:14Speaker 2: be other things in your teams that potentially bring more
- 20:16Speaker 2: points returns. So selling Sokka and using that money to
- 20:21Speaker 2: get a decent replacement for him probably feels like a
- 20:25Speaker 2: bigger priority for you because you do have a goalkeeper
- 20:27Speaker 2: that will play at East, whereas if you've got Fleckin
- 20:31Speaker 2: and Fabianski then you probably do need to deal with
- 20:34Speaker 2: that as a priority. And then I think you've got
- 20:37Speaker 2: a decision to make as to what you do. So
- 20:39Speaker 2: you can either stay in the kind of budgety price
- 20:42Speaker 2: point since Jawles's don't. Tim Henderson has been quite good actually,
- 20:47Speaker 2: and the fixtures look nice for Crystal Palace, and if
- 20:49Speaker 2: you don't want to have a defendersplot used on Muno's
- 20:52Speaker 2: then you could absolutely go for Henderson in goal. That
- 20:56Speaker 2: looks like a decent option right now. The other option
- 20:59Speaker 2: that I kind of quite like also is to go
- 21:01Speaker 2: for Pickford. We're kind of coming out of Everton's really
- 21:05Speaker 2: difficult phase and going into a nicer period for them
- 21:08Speaker 2: and We've seen that with Pickford. He is really good
- 21:11Speaker 2: at attracting additional points, whether it be for a penalty
- 21:14Speaker 2: save or bonus points or save points. He seems to
- 21:17Speaker 2: be one of those goalkeepers that even if the clean
- 21:19Speaker 2: sheet doesn't stick, he does attract those addictional points, which
- 21:23Speaker 2: is something that we like in FPL. So there or
- 21:25Speaker 2: even Leno at Fulham. I think the three of them
- 21:29Speaker 2: are probably my preferred goalkeeper picks in that budget. If
- 21:33Speaker 2: you can afford to go higher, then obviously I think
- 21:36Speaker 2: Rayer is the goalkeeper of choice right now.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Could you go Allison as well?
- 21:42Speaker 2: You can go Allison any slightly cheaper than Rayer, but
- 21:45Speaker 2: I just kind of feel like Arsenal's defense are more secure,
- 21:48Speaker 2: Like Liverpool just seemed to have this knack of just
- 21:50Speaker 2: conceding one. Even against Leicester they just conceded one. It
- 21:53Speaker 2: knocks out the clean sheet and that's frustrating when you're
- 21:56Speaker 2: spending that level of budget on something. It's how I
- 21:58Speaker 2: feel about Trent. That's why I've not bought Trending yet,
- 22:00Speaker 2: because just losing the clean sheet on a regular It's
- 22:04Speaker 2: not that they're defensively bad, it's just one little bit
- 22:07Speaker 2: of sloppiness here or there, and of course you were
- 22:08Speaker 2: a clean sheet and that's a bit frustrating, Whereas I
- 22:11Speaker 2: kind of feel like with the with the likes of
- 22:13Speaker 2: Henderson or Lenard or Pickford, because because you're not playing
- 22:17Speaker 2: a premium price tag, if the clean sheet goes but
- 22:19Speaker 2: you still pick up three or four points for say
- 22:21Speaker 2: points and things like that, you don't feel as bad
- 22:23Speaker 2: about it. Whereas with Reya, I just think that he's
- 22:26Speaker 2: the one that is the preferred premium goalkeeper right now
- 22:30Speaker 2: because Arsenal's defense is that much more solid.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Do you agree to yours?
- 22:34Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, absolutely, I agree. I just think if you
- 22:37Speaker 3: already have an Arsenal defender and you can doublop like
- 22:39Speaker 3: Sam does and when it's a good week, then straight
- 22:42Speaker 3: away you've got at least twelve if not more like
- 22:44Speaker 3: this week when Timberg got and Riley so he was
- 22:47Speaker 3: the best player that really poor Arsenal game. He got
- 22:50Speaker 3: the three bonus points and sinase nine and six or
- 22:52Speaker 3: nine and seven for you Sam with those two players
- 22:54Speaker 3: and he's great. If you already have an Arsenal defender,
- 22:57Speaker 3: you can go for another goalkeeper, not raya Chier, and
- 23:00Speaker 3: still get could return. I just want to say a
- 23:02Speaker 3: little word from my brother Alfonsearreola obviously, who's been waiting
- 23:06Speaker 3: to get back into the golf for west Ham and
- 23:09Speaker 3: got his chance due to the sad injury of Ofsky.
- 23:13Speaker 3: But now he's going to play Liverpool Man City and
- 23:15Speaker 3: then Aston Villa and he's on his bench. I could not,
- 23:20Speaker 3: as you know, I can't get rid of him obviously
- 23:22Speaker 3: for obvious reasons.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Do you have to play him as well?
- 23:24Speaker 3: Then that we can, we can negotiate. But like I just,
- 23:29Speaker 3: I was so happy I was signed Forski, but also
- 23:33Speaker 3: happy for Alphons to be so he would be playing again.
- 23:37Speaker 3: And then he's got probably the worst run of fixtures
- 23:39Speaker 3: of any goalkeeper in the next four weeks.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Yeah, tricky on a fixture for him, baptism of fire
- 23:44Speaker 1: potentially coming back into the team for that. Okay, then,
- 23:47Speaker 1: so a few possible goalkeeper replacements if you are shopping
- 23:50Speaker 1: for one after this game week. I just I meant
- 23:53Speaker 1: to follow up when we talked about Esac, actually because
- 23:55Speaker 1: I think it would be remissive us to keep on
- 23:57Speaker 1: talking about Newcastle and don't talk about the other players
- 24:00Speaker 1: as well. Obviously each will get the headlines and He's
- 24:02Speaker 1: the obvious buy and potentially almost Vergigon essential at the moment,
- 24:05Speaker 1: particularly given what's going on with the other fourards. But
- 24:08Speaker 1: should we be looking to double up now yours? Do
- 24:10Speaker 1: you think Anthony Gordon getting that early goal as well,
- 24:12Speaker 1: and he looks like he's kind of really hit some
- 24:15Speaker 1: good form at the moment.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a great goal, But I mean for me,
- 24:18Speaker 3: it's Murphy that could be and it was going to
- 24:21Speaker 3: be my differential this week, and I hesitated, I went
- 24:25Speaker 3: for somebody else. But I think Murphy had an amazing
- 24:27Speaker 3: game on boxing, the fantastic performance. I know, I think
- 24:31Speaker 3: there's just one assist to show for it, but I
- 24:33Speaker 3: thought he was outstanding and I think he's been great
- 24:35Speaker 3: since the establishing. And Gordon is more is more of
- 24:38Speaker 3: your premium and he's more far more expensive and more
- 24:41Speaker 3: flashy and score goals like he did against against Villa.
- 24:45Speaker 3: But I think Murphy, if you don't have the money
- 24:47Speaker 3: to go to Gordon, if you don't fancy Joorlington because
- 24:50Speaker 3: we Joinington, you just never know. You can have an
- 24:51Speaker 3: amazing game like you did against Villa, but then be
- 24:54Speaker 3: a bit more defensive, a bit more quiet in a
- 24:56Speaker 3: game when you cast, maybe just play more on the
- 24:58Speaker 3: counter with the front three. But I think if you
- 25:00Speaker 3: can't get to Gordon, which Gordon is a great idea, kise,
- 25:03Speaker 3: I think if you can have Isac and Gordon, I
- 25:05Speaker 3: think for the game against United for example on Sunday,
- 25:09Speaker 3: that should be fun to watch, then go for Murphy
- 25:13Speaker 3: because I think he's been as important, if not maybe
- 25:15Speaker 3: even slightly more than Anthony Gordon.
- 25:17Speaker 1: What do you think?
- 25:18Speaker 2: So Anthony Gordon is one that I'm looking at for sure. Yeah,
- 25:22Speaker 2: so he has blank just once now in the last
- 25:24Speaker 2: six games after that goal of the weekend, he's got
- 25:27Speaker 2: thirty four points in that period and amongst the Newcastle players,
- 25:31Speaker 2: he is second for shots and shots on target with
- 25:34Speaker 2: fifteen and six respectively. Obviously only Isak has better underlying stats.
- 25:38Speaker 2: And I think it's seven point three million. Given you'll
- 25:41Speaker 2: be looking for soccer replacements or Bruno Fernandez replacements, you're
- 25:45Speaker 2: still saving budget whichever way you look at that, so
- 25:48Speaker 2: it's still throwing up a significant chunk. And I just
- 25:51Speaker 2: think for me, he is a player that I did
- 25:53Speaker 2: think about. He and Jarra Bowen were both players that
- 25:56Speaker 2: I really thought about for the midweek when I went
- 25:59Speaker 2: Ford ass and either of them would have been a
- 26:02Speaker 2: better pick, but I think both of them offer at
- 26:05Speaker 2: roughly the same price point seven point three for Gordon
- 26:09Speaker 2: and seven point five for Bowen, and both of them
- 26:11Speaker 2: offer some really nice differential routes into teams that are
- 26:16Speaker 2: starting to put some momentum behind the underlying stats, and
- 26:20Speaker 2: Newcastle in particular, I think I've already got e second hall,
- 26:24Speaker 2: but traveling up on them makes sense, particularly without European
- 26:27Speaker 2: football as well. We don't have that worry coming back
- 26:29Speaker 2: into the new year about you know, tiredness in the
- 26:32Speaker 2: same way that we maybe did last season with them,
- 26:34Speaker 2: where we sort of undernered about investing from that basis.
- 26:38Speaker 2: So I am really keen on Anthony Gordon. I just
- 26:41Speaker 2: think that it's one of those things that I'm going
- 26:43Speaker 2: to have to think about in terms of the budget,
- 26:45Speaker 2: and if I do want to get Ollie Watkins in,
- 26:48Speaker 2: that's going to take a little bit more thought if
- 26:50Speaker 2: I want to do Gordon as well.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, eleven goals scored for Newcastle in their last three
- 26:54Speaker 1: matches and three clean sheets as well. It's Manchester United
- 26:57Speaker 1: away next, then a trip to Spurs. The Wolves are
- 27:00Speaker 1: I'm born with at home, Southampton away and Fulham at home.
- 27:03Speaker 1: So Jules, could you even be tempted You've got Hall
- 27:06Speaker 1: as well, Both of you guys have got Hall. Could
- 27:08Speaker 1: you even be tempted by a treble er maybe Gordon
- 27:12Speaker 1: Hall or eastt Murphy Hall.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, and I think I think they're really in the
- 27:17Speaker 3: in red form. I think their key players with Issach obviously,
- 27:20Speaker 3: but even Gordon Sam just mentioned the last six games,
- 27:22Speaker 3: I think it was or something or five games before
- 27:25Speaker 3: that he was maybe not playing at the best like
- 27:27Speaker 3: he is now. Same with Bruno Gi mare Sam, with
- 27:29Speaker 3: Joe Lintoln even defensively, they've been much more solid. Even
- 27:32Speaker 3: without a Nick popin Gold with the Brafka was playing
- 27:35Speaker 3: on Boxing Day, they were still very good. And I
- 27:37Speaker 3: know Villa went down to ten very early, so it's
- 27:40Speaker 3: it changed things a lot, obviously, But I think you
- 27:43Speaker 3: Castle had the team to invest in right now, maybe
- 27:45Speaker 3: more than more, maybe more than Chelsea and more than
- 27:49Speaker 3: anybody else.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, And I think Tonali being back is
- 27:52Speaker 2: massively helping.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:55Speaker 2: So I think the other team that I'm looking at
- 27:57Speaker 2: like it's funny, isn't it, Because I think when you
- 28:00Speaker 2: double up on a team you're kind of like, Okay,
- 28:01Speaker 2: well I'm doubled up. That feels good, but I still
- 28:03Speaker 2: watch Newcast and think I don't feel like I'm covered
- 28:05Speaker 2: enough even with holl And Asak. So yeah, maybe Gorland
- 28:09Speaker 2: comes in as well.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Okay, let's finish off this section by this is maybe
- 28:13Speaker 1: because I haven't sold soccer, but by talking about Liverpool
- 28:15Speaker 1: and Arsenal because for me, I didn't sell soccer because
- 28:18Speaker 1: I wanted I couldn't decide I was going to go Jotter,
- 28:21Speaker 1: but I didn't want to go Dias. I thought Diaz
- 28:23Speaker 1: would get the start he didn't. I didn't want to
- 28:24Speaker 1: go Jotter because I wasn't sure of his minutes. I
- 28:26Speaker 1: also wanted to watch Arsenal to see how they looked
- 28:30Speaker 1: without Riquiosaka and then make my decision as too to
- 28:32Speaker 1: bring in. Lots of other managers have sold Soaker because
- 28:35Speaker 1: his price has been going down. But for those who haven't,
- 28:37Speaker 1: and for those who maybe are still looking for a
- 28:39Speaker 1: midfielder but maybe a Bruno Fernandez replacement as well, maybe
- 28:42Speaker 1: a lot of people will be looking at Liverpool and Arsenal.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Let's start with Liverpool because Sam, as you said, Lewis
- 28:47Speaker 1: Diaz didn't feature at all. Jotta had another cameo. He's
- 28:51Speaker 1: of course getting his way back to fitness. But they've
- 28:53Speaker 1: got west Ham in game week nineteen and as you've said,
- 28:56Speaker 1: you're probably more likely to get your start from Diaz.
- 28:58Speaker 1: When are we going to see jossa start? Do you
- 29:01Speaker 1: think he's do you think he's going to be ready
- 29:02Speaker 1: to start soon? Or do you think this train could continue?
- 29:04Speaker 1: I'm aware you haven't got on a slot and speed dull.
- 29:06Speaker 1: By the way, Oh I do you have friend and
- 29:08Speaker 1: my I phone him up in a minute. It's difficult,
- 29:10Speaker 1: isn't it? Because he it was a serious injury, right,
- 29:13Speaker 1: So they do seem to be treating him with kid gloves.
- 29:16Speaker 1: For want of a different phrase to say, I think
- 29:18Speaker 1: he just is being looked after and managed back in
- 29:21Speaker 1: because they don't want to repeat or you know, that injury,
- 29:25Speaker 1: they don't want it to get worse. But I think
- 29:27Speaker 1: there's a good chance at the west Ham game we
- 29:30Speaker 1: see that front three back starting.
- 29:33Speaker 2: The thing I would say is that Cody Cacpo does
- 29:36Speaker 2: not deserve to be dropped because he's playing so well
- 29:39Speaker 2: at the minute, so it's called for his third consecutive
- 29:41Speaker 2: home game in a row set up the assist. It's
- 29:43Speaker 2: his best return of the season so far with twelve.
- 29:46Speaker 2: It would almost be amiss to say, right, Cody, I'm
- 29:49Speaker 2: well done for all that you've done while these injuries
- 29:52Speaker 2: have been happening, but now you're out. So whereas I
- 29:54Speaker 2: think with Darwin, he's not played particularly well when he's
- 29:57Speaker 2: come on, so he can be moved out. But that three,
- 30:01Speaker 2: it's kind of there's four of them really, and so
- 30:04Speaker 2: you're always going to have someone. So it was a risk,
- 30:07Speaker 2: but I felt like I wanted to double up on Liverpool.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Like at the moment, owning Mosellah is almost pointless because
- 30:15Speaker 2: you do have to have him, but otherwise it's just
- 30:18Speaker 2: kind of like, well, he's just going to get points.
- 30:20Speaker 2: He's his sixteenth goal of the season. There were five million,
- 30:24Speaker 2: three hundred and ninety five nine hundred and ninety eight. Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 2: managers who captained him. That was his biggest ever captaincy
- 30:31Speaker 2: return the whole time that he's been in the game.
- 30:34Speaker 2: We basically meaning that you just have to own him
- 30:36Speaker 2: and that he's not really going to do much in
- 30:38Speaker 2: terms of your rank, which is why for me, I
- 30:40Speaker 2: was like well, let's get somebody alongside him, because then
- 30:43Speaker 2: I make those Liverpool wins count for something a bit
- 30:46Speaker 2: like I've done with the Arsenal defense. Everyone's got one,
- 30:49Speaker 2: so let's double up because that means that you can
- 30:51Speaker 2: get some returns out of them. So yeah, I think
- 30:54Speaker 2: do I regret the Lewis ds thing. I mean maybe
- 30:56Speaker 2: a little bit because he didn't play last week, But
- 30:58Speaker 2: equally I'm hoping that he gets gets the start against
- 31:02Speaker 2: against west Ham at the weekend, and Jotta he's going
- 31:07Speaker 2: to get a start.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Sooner or later.
- 31:08Speaker 2: So if you were one of the managers that went there,
- 31:09Speaker 2: I think you hold him as well because there will
- 31:12Speaker 2: be some rotation, particularly when we get back into the
- 31:14Speaker 2: European matches and obviously the FA Cup come the new year.
- 31:18Speaker 2: So yeah, hold for now. If you brought them in.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I'm not sure that I would invest now though, because
- 31:25Speaker 2: I think it's even harder than last week to call
- 31:27Speaker 2: who's going to get that start Cheles Arsenal.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Then they got the win against Ipswich first game without Bacuayosaka.
- 31:35Speaker 1: It sounds like he's going to be out for at
- 31:36Speaker 1: least eight weeks. I think it was a couple of months.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Mikael Arteta said, yeah, you did get the feeling that
- 31:41Speaker 1: he was playing it down a little bit, didn't you.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I was hoping that Jesus was going to show something
- 31:46Speaker 1: because of course we all need a forward. It feels
- 31:48Speaker 1: like at the moment because I'm going to be offloading
- 31:50Speaker 1: Kunia at some point in the next I don't know.
- 31:52Speaker 1: It might be today, it might be the next week.
- 31:54Speaker 1: Who knows. Andoele Pedro, I'm still not convinced by Jesus.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Where are you at in terms of Arsenal.
- 32:01Speaker 3: It's interesting because we said it when other guard got injured.
- 32:06Speaker 3: I think Arson can maybe cope without Baka for two
- 32:09Speaker 3: three games. More than that they will, they would struggle,
- 32:12Speaker 3: And it pains me to say it, but it's the true.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Even last night, it was difficult because he switch plays
- 32:18Speaker 3: so defensively, especially in the first half. They had eleven
- 32:21Speaker 3: passes after twenty five minutes. Can you imagine that's one
- 32:24Speaker 3: pass every two minutes for a whole team. I don't.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I think that's surely a primary record from Ipswich. So
- 32:29Speaker 3: it was. It was not easy, and I think it's
- 32:32Speaker 3: one of those games where the flow is just not
- 32:34Speaker 3: that the rhythm is just not there. It's very slow,
- 32:36Speaker 3: and but they get the win. They got the win,
- 32:39Speaker 3: and that's the most important. But you could see already
- 32:41Speaker 3: that other guard is not the same with Asaka there,
- 32:43Speaker 3: that Timber is not really the same in some situation
- 32:46Speaker 3: because he played really well, but without Saka in front
- 32:49Speaker 3: of him, martin Elli offers something different to start with
- 32:51Speaker 3: his right footage when Saka is left footed, it doesn't
- 32:54Speaker 3: doesn't the position is but in the same way Asaka.
- 32:56Speaker 3: So there's are so many things and Arson will have
- 32:58Speaker 3: to get used to having Martinelli on the right wing
- 33:01Speaker 3: instead Ofska and that will take some time. So I'm
- 33:04Speaker 3: a little bit worried of going forward to productivity and
- 33:07Speaker 3: maybe then the shift is going to go from the right,
- 33:10Speaker 3: where it's always been the stronger side, to the left
- 33:13Speaker 3: with the Trossa and mys do with Kelly for number
- 33:15Speaker 3: we did really well against him. Switch Oka fury when
- 33:17Speaker 3: he is fully fitted back or I don't know whether
- 33:19Speaker 3: whichever way, but that right hand side, even though the
- 33:22Speaker 3: guy I fear won't be the same now with his
- 33:26Speaker 3: in his output to the team and his impact on
- 33:29Speaker 3: on games. So I went for Martinelli because I thought, okay,
- 33:33Speaker 3: Ipswich is good and then as is still going to
- 33:36Speaker 3: be good going forward. But now I've got a few
- 33:39Speaker 3: doubts on the Arsenal productivity going forward.
- 33:42Speaker 1: So would you say a bit like Liverpool, it feels
- 33:43Speaker 1: quite hard to pick one. Would you say, hold fire
- 33:46Speaker 1: on Arsenal and investing now there's best options elsewhere in
- 33:48Speaker 1: that midfield and forward.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Yeah, although we saw Trossa and Harve's returning. So if
- 33:53Speaker 3: you if you fancy who's really low, I think one
- 33:56Speaker 3: point eight percent because I was really tempted to go
- 33:58Speaker 3: for Trossa instead of Martinelli. I think it's good to
- 34:01Speaker 3: have a Narsenal attacker. I'm not really sure. Trossa seems
- 34:05Speaker 3: the one who is the most important if you don't
- 34:06Speaker 3: go for a forward as in the habit of Gabrie Jess,
- 34:09Speaker 3: if you look at a midfielder to just replace Socca
- 34:11Speaker 3: position for position, let's say in the game, I think
- 34:15Speaker 3: Trossa is probably the one in the best of form
- 34:18Speaker 3: who will play on his favorite side, which is the
- 34:20Speaker 3: left and side where martinelli favorite Sale is on the
- 34:23Speaker 3: left as well, But now he's going to play on
- 34:24Speaker 3: the right to replace Socca. So maybe Trossai is probably
- 34:28Speaker 3: the best, and it's a proper, proper differential, even more
- 34:30Speaker 3: than Martinelli.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Okay, well that's what we learned from Game Week eighteen.
- 34:34Speaker 1: A lot of frustrations coming out of that game week,
- 34:36Speaker 1: it feels. But from Game Week nineteen onwards, we're going
- 34:40Speaker 1: to take a look at the fixture ticking now and
- 34:41Speaker 1: the teams that are at the top. The main reason
- 34:43Speaker 1: we're going to do that is because as soon as
- 34:45Speaker 1: the deadline passes on Sunday, the second World Card will
- 34:48Speaker 1: become available to us. So it reminder if you have
- 34:50Speaker 1: somehow still managed to keep your wild card, even tho
- 34:53Speaker 1: I've not kept this long guys, then do get it
- 34:55Speaker 1: played before the next deadline, because you don't get to
- 34:57Speaker 1: keep it. If you don't use it, you lose it.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:00Speaker 1: A lot of people, I'm sure will have already planned
- 35:02Speaker 1: when they're going to play their World card, or will
- 35:03Speaker 1: be playing it in the next week or two because
- 35:06Speaker 1: maybe their teams need a lot of surgery. But it
- 35:09Speaker 1: is this time of year. I feel like New Year.
- 35:11Speaker 1: You start in terms of life and the calendar year,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and maybe you're looking at new teams to target in FPL.
- 35:17Speaker 1: So in terms of the fixture, ticker. I'm going to
- 35:19Speaker 1: read you the top five teams. It's Crystal Palace, Southampton,
- 35:21Speaker 1: at Fulham, Chelsea and Newcastle. Now we've already spoken about
- 35:25Speaker 1: Newcastle in depth. We've touched upon some of the other teams,
- 35:27Speaker 1: but Crystal Palace have got Southampton in game week nineteen.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Then it is Chelsea. Then it looks a little bit
- 35:33Speaker 1: nicer again, less Dot west Ham, Brentford and Manchester United
- 35:37Speaker 1: in game week twenty four. Sam, you've already mentioned it.
- 35:41Speaker 1: There's a few nice options, particularly in midfield at Palace
- 35:43Speaker 1: at the moment, there's a lot, and I am very
- 35:47Speaker 1: very keen to invest in Crystal Palace. I think Rynas
- 35:49Speaker 1: is the obvious one because of how attacking that he's
- 35:53Speaker 1: been lately and the fact that the clean sheets are
- 35:55Speaker 1: starting to stick like we were talking about for Dean
- 35:56Speaker 1: Henderson earlier. But the midfield is look like an interesting
- 36:02Speaker 1: option with those fixtures coming up the way that they
- 36:04Speaker 1: are so. Ismael Asari is.
- 36:06Speaker 2: In great form right now and as a maybe isn't
- 36:10Speaker 2: in the form that Isjmeilasari is right now, but we
- 36:13Speaker 2: know what we get Withes and over the last few
- 36:15Speaker 2: season we've seen him be unbelievably good for us in FBL.
- 36:19Speaker 2: So Palis is definitely a team that I'm looking at.
- 36:22Speaker 2: The Other thing I like about them is that they're
- 36:24Speaker 2: massively cheap, so when it comes to investing in that midfield,
- 36:29Speaker 2: you can get a really nice cheap option from Crystal Palace,
- 36:31Speaker 2: or defensively or as a goalkeeper. Matteta's a little bit
- 36:35Speaker 2: more in that front line. I think he's seven point
- 36:37Speaker 2: one now, so he is you're going to pay a
- 36:40Speaker 2: little bit more for him, but with the others you're
- 36:43Speaker 2: paying less. And that transition from Saya, Bruno Fernandez or
- 36:48Speaker 2: a Soaka to them gives you a lot of budget
- 36:50Speaker 2: to play with across the rest of your team. So yeah,
- 36:54Speaker 2: Crystal Palace are right top of my shopping list. Going
- 36:56Speaker 2: into a GA and week nineteen and then doubling on
- 37:00Speaker 2: them probably for twenty well probably not for twenty but
- 37:03Speaker 2: definitely for twenty one and onwards, feels like something will
- 37:06Speaker 2: definitely be doing jeels.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Would you look at either or Mateta at the moment?
- 37:10Speaker 3: I mean, you know, there's only one answer here, Boom,
- 37:14Speaker 3: but it does in the room, Happy Christmas.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I nearly didn't put Mateesta in that question.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Because I sang the song this is the best song
- 37:21Speaker 3: ever created for a Premier League player. Yeah, I think
- 37:24Speaker 3: some is right. I think Pallace a good going for them.
- 37:26Speaker 3: There will be. I think they struggle a little bit
- 37:28Speaker 3: against Bomb with righty so Born with a homer. I've
- 37:31Speaker 3: been excellent this season and was quiet and Matta I
- 37:35Speaker 3: think had one shot, so maybe two as it was
- 37:38Speaker 3: the one trying to create. But the good on set pieces.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Defensively they can be very solid as well, like Qua
- 37:44Speaker 3: gay Shalloba Henderson. As we mentioned already, the wing bags
- 37:48Speaker 3: are interesting, especially on the right hand side. So I
- 37:50Speaker 3: think there's a lot there who could be very interesting
- 37:53Speaker 3: for your game, depending on what you're looking for. But yeah,
- 37:56Speaker 3: I think Southampton at home, especially on Sunday tomorrow is
- 38:02Speaker 3: really good, so you I would go easily. As there
- 38:04Speaker 3: was again another differential that I was thinking of. The
- 38:07Speaker 3: SI is a really good pick.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I think just don't pick Gaye for this week because
- 38:10Speaker 2: he picked up his fifth yellow card.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Yes, yes, very good reminder Southampton a second on the
- 38:15Speaker 1: ticker jewels.
- 38:17Speaker 3: Anyway, No, thank you.
- 38:19Speaker 1: I knew that would be quick and I know.
- 38:21Speaker 3: But good luck to Ivan your rich because he's a
- 38:23Speaker 3: really good coach. He's a really really good coach and
- 38:25Speaker 3: they've got some good players and rams Day's coming back
- 38:28Speaker 3: is huge for them. But I would not invest in
- 38:29Speaker 3: any of them.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Okay, what about Fulham then, Sam, you mentioned it before,
- 38:32Speaker 1: you're desperate to invest. But I think we're saying, aren't
- 38:35Speaker 1: we it's impossible tonight if moonais or him and he's
- 38:38Speaker 1: going to start, and who's going to return even if
- 38:40Speaker 1: they do start?
- 38:41Speaker 2: Absolutely yeah, I mean I've got Robinson, happy to have him.
- 38:44Speaker 1: He's great.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But I think I think there's so many quandaries at
- 38:49Speaker 2: Fulham right now it's Muni's versus him, and as it's
- 38:52Speaker 2: Castana versus Robinson.
- 38:53Speaker 1: Where would you go on that one? Because it feels
- 38:55Speaker 1: like maybe with them as you just keep away.
- 38:57Speaker 2: I think so yeah, I think with the frontline you
- 38:59Speaker 2: just to go. I'll stay away and if I want
- 39:01Speaker 2: to go for an attack roll gol woebe, that feels.
- 39:04Speaker 3: The safest way.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Yeah. But the defenders is interesting because Robinson is clearly
- 39:10Speaker 2: the best pick.
- 39:10Speaker 3: I think.
- 39:11Speaker 2: I don't think that's even close. I think Robinson is
- 39:14Speaker 2: far and away the best pick at Fulham, but he
- 39:17Speaker 2: is significantly more than Kastano is so if you need
- 39:21Speaker 2: to save budget, and maybe at this point it's a
- 39:24Speaker 2: weird thing to say this, but because we're all selling
- 39:26Speaker 2: Bruno and soccer and we've got all these other options
- 39:28Speaker 2: that we could come down to, maybe we don't need
- 39:31Speaker 2: the budget quite as much, so affording Robinson might be easier.
- 39:35Speaker 2: But if you are thinking, no, actually I am tight.
- 39:37Speaker 2: I'm tight for budget for whatever reason, then I think
- 39:40Speaker 2: Castane is a decent option if you can't afford Robinson.
- 39:44Speaker 2: But if you've got the budget for Robinson, then I
- 39:45Speaker 2: prefer him.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Okay, we're going to have to move on because as
- 39:48Speaker 1: always we've gone on for quite some times. There's a
- 39:51Speaker 1: lot of games in talking points to go through. And
- 39:53Speaker 1: just an update on the suspensions. I wrote, as Sam reminded,
- 39:56Speaker 1: just saying Mark Gaye don't invest in this week because
- 39:59Speaker 1: he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Well now we suspended in game week nineteen, along with
- 40:03Speaker 1: Matty Cash, Cliver Iusu Boslai Ugarte, Yates Rodriguez and Soucheck.
- 40:09Speaker 1: There's a lot of suspensions this week. Bruno Fernandez, as
- 40:11Speaker 1: we mentioned, and Jed Spence both faced a one match ban.
- 40:14Speaker 1: They got a red card for two yellows in game
- 40:16Speaker 1: week eighteen. As we also mentioned, John Duran is out,
- 40:19Speaker 1: but he's out for three matches. His red card was
- 40:21Speaker 1: for violent conduct. Mudric remains out and now we've also
- 40:25Speaker 1: this is good news actually because I don't have to
- 40:26Speaker 1: keep reading about this in every podcast, because we nearly
- 40:29Speaker 1: reached the end of the first cut off point for suspensions.
- 40:31Speaker 1: Players needed to get five yellows in the first nineteen matches.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Apart from Liverpool and Everton, all teams will reach that
- 40:37Speaker 1: point this game week. So then we'll be watching for
- 40:39Speaker 1: ten yellows over the first thirty two matches of the season.
- 40:42Speaker 1: The race to be the first player to get ten begins. Okay,
- 40:46Speaker 1: then it's that time of the week. It's differential time.
- 40:49Speaker 1: A terrible week, guys, let's do it terrible for Jewels.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Player got a red card for violent deating. Whether it's
- 40:55Speaker 1: a red again, it's a lot. This this podcast is
- 40:58Speaker 1: not the time or place for that. Jewels, he got
- 40:59Speaker 1: a red. They did their best view they build it.
- 41:02Speaker 2: But unfortunately you'd have still got the minus points though
- 41:04Speaker 2: regardless because the game we could.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Close over the minus two for John Duran and yeah,
- 41:10Speaker 1: but Georgie would have taken the credit if he'd scored
- 41:12Speaker 1: a one point for Jotter because he of course didn't start.
- 41:16Speaker 2: That's worse.
- 41:17Speaker 3: That's worse.
- 41:17Speaker 1: That's a win Sam wins that week. That doesn't mean
- 41:22Speaker 1: she gets to go first. He's your differential this week.
- 41:25Speaker 2: We've mentioned him a lot on this podcast or I
- 41:27Speaker 2: have anyway, is my lasa. So he is only going
- 41:29Speaker 2: to cost you five point eight million. He's only owned
- 41:31Speaker 2: by two point nine percent of the game and since
- 41:33Speaker 2: game week twelve he's got four goals and two assists.
- 41:36Speaker 2: Only four midfielders in the game have more attacking returns
- 41:38Speaker 2: than him in that period. One of them Sackle, one
- 41:40Speaker 2: of them's Palm. Of the other two Shada and Murphy,
- 41:44Speaker 2: so some decent returns from him. In this same period,
- 41:47Speaker 2: he's created seven chances for his teammates. Four of them
- 41:50Speaker 2: have been big chances. And it's not just about the
- 41:53Speaker 2: chances created is it's about the quality of them. So
- 41:56Speaker 2: the fact that over half the chances he's created have
- 41:58Speaker 2: been big ones is good. He's had eighteen attempts on
- 42:00Speaker 2: goal in this time. That's the same as Anthony Gordon.
- 42:02Speaker 2: It's more than the likes of Bruno Sons soccer foding
- 42:06Speaker 2: all of these really expensive players, and he's six th
- 42:08Speaker 2: expected goals across midfielders and seventh for Xgi expected go
- 42:12Speaker 2: on involvements. In the same time, faces of Southampton side
- 42:15Speaker 2: have got just two clean sheets this season and who
- 42:17Speaker 2: have conceded thirty seven goals and he waves Selester have
- 42:20Speaker 2: conceded more than that. So Ishmaider Sar is my differential
- 42:25Speaker 2: and possibly might be my transfer in this week as well.
- 42:28Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, he's someone I'm considering as well as the
- 42:30Speaker 1: potential soccer replacement that's gonna be him All Gordon for me, Jules,
- 42:34Speaker 1: who's your differential?
- 42:35Speaker 3: So I went for Morgan Gibbs White and noting Forest
- 42:38Speaker 3: because he was outstanding. I thaw in the game, Sorry Sam,
- 42:41Speaker 3: to remind you. I don't.
- 42:42Speaker 2: I'm surprised we've got this far. We've got forty five
- 42:45Speaker 2: minutes in and you've not mentioned the fact. Yes, thank you,
- 42:48Speaker 2: appreciate that both left that game review because I felt
- 42:52Speaker 2: there was bigger, bigger talking points because also, hasn't everyone
- 42:55Speaker 2: sold all their first players. I've still got some, thank
- 42:58Speaker 2: you because you know why not, as I mentioned forward
- 43:01Speaker 2: headaches exactly, we don't really.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Talk about teams die in the second second half of
- 43:05Speaker 3: the table anyway. So Morgan gives White is in the
- 43:07Speaker 3: top half of the table. He is returning three of
- 43:09Speaker 3: his last four games now six points, eight points, thirteen points.
- 43:13Speaker 3: There's a lot of bonus points there because he's he
- 43:15Speaker 3: just does everything, not just assisting of scoring, but he
- 43:18Speaker 3: he gets so involved and I just loved that about him.
- 43:21Speaker 3: It will cost you a little bit more than his
- 43:22Speaker 3: may last our six point three million, but is owned
- 43:25Speaker 3: by less than the manager's one point seven percent, So
- 43:27Speaker 3: again proper differential that we mentioned earlier. They've got Everton
- 43:32Speaker 3: and Wolves in the next two games. Then it's Liverpool okay,
- 43:34Speaker 3: but the next two look good from a Notingham Forest
- 43:37Speaker 3: team in great form. And if they are that good
- 43:40Speaker 3: is because gives White is at the heart of everything.
- 43:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it feels like we've kind of stopped talking about
- 43:43Speaker 1: Naskham for ust while they've continued to kind of wrack
- 43:45Speaker 1: up the points. Isn't it really at a bit bad?
- 43:48Speaker 3: Write the script?
- 43:50Speaker 2: Do you know what? Selling christ Woods is one of
- 43:52Speaker 2: my biggest regrets over the last few weeks, going from
- 43:55Speaker 2: Chris Wood to ever Neil. I know he doesn't get
- 43:56Speaker 2: anything in this game. But he is any forward that
- 43:59Speaker 2: you can trust. So if you have got big forward headaches,
- 44:02Speaker 2: we should give a shout out to Chris Wood because
- 44:04Speaker 2: I do think he's an option and I know it's
- 44:08Speaker 2: fine because I've got big dom, so you know we
- 44:10Speaker 2: won't worry. Okay, then transfers and captains how we always
- 44:13Speaker 2: end this podcast on As Jules rightly mentioned earlier, a
- 44:17Speaker 2: lot of people are bringing in esak. The most popular
- 44:20Speaker 2: combinations so far this week is ESAK for Harland. We've
- 44:23Speaker 2: not owned Harland on this podcast for a little while now.
- 44:25Speaker 2: The second most popular is Gordon in for Bruno Fernandez
- 44:29Speaker 2: and Palmer in for Soaka esak in for Jackson. So yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 2: a lot of themes that we've talked about in this
- 44:35Speaker 2: podcast are being reflected in what you guys at home
- 44:37Speaker 2: are doing. But I'm intrigusing on what you guys are doing, Jiels.
- 44:39Speaker 2: I'm going to give you a few more minutes to
- 44:40Speaker 2: think about your transfers because you probably haven't yet you
- 44:43Speaker 2: been on this absolutely Oh gone, then all right you
- 44:47Speaker 2: can get first.
- 44:48Speaker 3: Yeah, very easy, probably nothing nothing boring. What would you
- 44:53Speaker 3: been boring? I just brought in Martinelli and Isak. I've
- 44:56Speaker 3: still have two free transfers to do this.
- 44:58Speaker 1: He likes to let them build up and then yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I think that is more mostiously, I think if you're
- 45:04Speaker 3: brought in Martin Ellie or even the guards, yeah exactly.
- 45:08Speaker 3: I think they need a bit of time. We need
- 45:10Speaker 3: a bit of time and they need a bit of
- 45:11Speaker 3: time to see if they adapt and if they are
- 45:12Speaker 3: adapting to this new life with Thattaka because everything was
- 45:16Speaker 3: going through Psyca so much that then we need a
- 45:18Speaker 3: bit of time. So I mean Branford away. I would
- 45:21Speaker 3: fancy Martin Elli to have an impact on the game
- 45:23Speaker 3: for sure, so I'm happy with him and probably goes
- 45:26Speaker 3: on the bench even if they are home based against Newcastle,
- 45:29Speaker 3: so then Rogers are home to write. So the teams
- 45:31Speaker 3: that my team looks good, so I'll keep, I'll keep
- 45:33Speaker 3: and roll on the free transfer.
- 45:35Speaker 2: So I'm going to sell Bruni Fernandez. Either I'm going
- 45:38Speaker 2: to go too or I'm going to go for Anthony Gordon.
- 45:41Speaker 2: I haven't decided which one yet. If I go for Ismailos,
- 45:44Speaker 2: it gives me the money to get Evan Nelson to
- 45:46Speaker 2: Olie Watkins, but that would give me a massive benching
- 45:50Speaker 2: headache because then my front a I'd want to play
- 45:51Speaker 2: all of them, because I want to play Morgan Rogers
- 45:53Speaker 2: at home to Brighton this week and he's historically being
- 45:57Speaker 2: my bench option and even like we laugh the dom
- 46:00Speaker 2: Selanki pick, but I can't bring myself to bench dom
- 46:02Speaker 2: Selanki at home to Wolves like that would be crazy.
- 46:06Speaker 2: So even even with my Spurs goggles in play, that
- 46:09Speaker 2: still feels mad. So the thing, I might just do
- 46:12Speaker 2: one transfer this week and then get either Ishmaido Sar
- 46:15Speaker 2: or Anthony Gordon. At the moment, I think I prefer
- 46:19Speaker 2: Ishmaida Sar simply because I really do like those Crystal
- 46:22Speaker 2: Palace fixtures and I don't have anybody yet from Crystal Palace,
- 46:26Speaker 2: whereas I already do have two Newcastle assets in play.
- 46:29Speaker 2: So I might just try and cover out the Crystal
- 46:32Speaker 2: Palace fixtures that they've got coming up by having him,
- 46:35Speaker 2: and maybe look to double up with Muna's at some
- 46:37Speaker 2: point in the coming weeks as well, so that I've
- 46:39Speaker 2: got a defensive and attacking player from them. But yeah,
- 46:43Speaker 2: definitely Bruno's biing sold probably for Sar. That's how I
- 46:46Speaker 2: feel like I'm going to go.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Are we going to have another boring captaincy Chat and
- 46:49Speaker 1: also with captaining most Salah because he's in ridiculous form
- 46:53Speaker 1: and we've got the.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Fe me definitely, although Pip switch is.
- 46:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I think there's aptions, isn't there. I
- 47:00Speaker 2: think Palmer against Ipswich is definitely tempting. I think each
- 47:05Speaker 2: against Manchester United is tempting. Given there without you got
- 47:08Speaker 2: take because he's suspended and Bruno Fernandez because he's suspended.
- 47:12Speaker 2: So I think they're options. I just think for me,
- 47:15Speaker 2: with the way that Salah is playing right now, I
- 47:19Speaker 2: don't really want to take the armband off him against
- 47:21Speaker 2: a west Ham team that's missing Souchech and is missing
- 47:24Speaker 2: their preferred goalkeeper at the moment in Fabianski. So yeah,
- 47:28Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm going to stick with with Salah. But
- 47:31Speaker 2: I do think there are options. So if you want
- 47:33Speaker 2: to look outside of the Egyptian King, then Palmer and
- 47:35Speaker 2: Each for me would be the two i'd look at.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Yeah, every week, I think, oh, he's sack could be
- 47:38Speaker 1: a nice option this week, but then out of the
- 47:40Speaker 1: fear of not captain in Sala, I don't do it.
- 47:42Speaker 1: And I know a lot of managers feel the same,
- 47:44Speaker 1: but yeah, a few nice options for you this game
- 47:46Speaker 1: week as well. Again in a remind you of deadline
- 47:48Speaker 1: is one o'clock on a Sunday. City of alarms, guys,
- 47:51Speaker 1: because it's an usual time, nineteen minutes out of the
- 47:53Speaker 1: two thirty kickoff between Leicester and Man City. Don't let
- 47:56Speaker 1: it catch you out. Will be back at our usual
- 47:58Speaker 1: time on Thursday to look back on week nineteen and
- 48:01Speaker 1: head to game week twenty. The first deadline of the
