- 2:24Patsy, this is where the great Canestra cooked up his most famous illusions,
- 2:29and it ought to be a good place for me to pull a couple of
- 2:30tricks too. Hey, don't tell me you're going to pull rabbits out of
- 2:32a hat. Rabbits No, Patsy a killer, I hope. And now
- 2:43the Case of the Magic Rope. Today's adventure starring Lon Clark as Nick Carter,
- 2:46brought to you by New Postwar Old Dutch Cleanser. Tonight at the Elton
- 2:53Theater, magicians from all over the country will compete for the Fulton Award,
- 2:57a ten thousand dollars prize for the best illusion of the year, but the
- 3:00greatest magician of them all Carl's consterol will not be present confined to a wheelchair,
- 3:05since he's all now a leading contender for the Fulton Award. Ha ha
- 3:07ha. You know, Alma, I suggested the idea of the Magician's Award
- 3:12to mister Fulton myself, but I did not think he would take me seriously.
- 3:15Why not? He can afford it with all his millions. He certainly
- 3:19can. Honey hows so many people take up magic as a hobby, isn't
- 3:22it? With fulling in it is more than a hobby. It is an
- 3:24obsession. But all he's ever learned is a little sleight of hand. But
- 3:29let him get on the stage and he's as happy as if he had made
- 3:31another million dollars in the stock market. Oh, Colus, I've simply got
- 3:35to win that ten thousand dollars prize tonight. Perhaps you should have this,
- 3:42that piece of room, that piece of rope, my dear, will mistify
- 3:44the world. It is the most spectacular illusion of my whole career. Oh
- 3:49how does it work? No? No, no, no, that is
- 3:51Connestero's secret. When I return to the theater, you expect to work again,
- 3:55But of course I do. I'll be out of this wheelchair. But
- 3:59it's know not well well, but that's good news. Alma. You will
- 4:04tell me what happened to me the night of the accident. It was the
- 4:10equipment, wasn't it. The equipment was all right, Carlos, you slip,
- 4:13that's all. But I couldn't have. I had done that three a
- 4:15thousand times. Why did I fall through that trap door? Alma? Why?
- 4:19Why? Alas Carlos, you mustn't get excited, had for you saw
- 4:23your hands are trembling. Let me hold them in mind for a moment.
- 4:29There Now I beg your pardon, missus canstra. Dinner is ready to wheel
- 4:36yourself into the dining room. Will you want to say something to Alma?
- 4:40Very well? Catlin come back again soon, Almah, but I have to
- 4:46say, won't take long, Alma, missus cannestra, what you saw didn't
- 4:48mean a thing. I don't want to hear any lies. You've been in
- 4:51love with my husband for years. Oh that's ridiculous. If you weren't so
- 4:55crazy, you never to come here, not get out and don't come back
- 5:00back, or what? You'd better be pretty nice to me, missus canstol,
- 5:04or I might tell the newspapers exactly why Carlos fail that night? And
- 5:10you wouldn't want that, would you? How are you doing Patsy at the
- 5:25end of it? Nick, it's twenty five after seven? How did I
- 5:28do take in the stage show? Oh? That would be wonderful. I
- 5:30haven't been to the theater in months. Oh, I'll answer it. You
- 5:32get your hat right, Nick Carter speaking? Oh, oh yes, I
- 5:42say yes, I'll be right over. Oh nae, no show, No,
- 5:48not even any dinner. That was missus Canstrol, wife of the great
- 5:51magician. Well what did she want? She wanted to tell me that her
- 5:56husband's been stabbed. It's been dead for at least two hours. That's just
- 6:10semester. Where did you find the body? Only a few minutes ago?
- 6:13I opened the door and there he walked with that knife in his chest.
- 6:17You ever seen this knife before? Yes, it was part of carlos magic
- 6:21act. He kept a tearing the workshop with his other I suppose you've notified
- 6:27the police. No, I did not know what. I'll call him Nick,
- 6:30all right, but get me a clean envelope first for you? Why
- 6:34did you find something? Yes? Canstro whoever't they tried to put up a
- 6:38fight. Oh, the fingernails in his right hand are broken, as if
- 6:41something had been torn out of his hand, and these bits of fiber were
- 6:45under his nails. What hey look like the stuff they make robottoms? I
- 6:48thought, here put him in the envelope. The rope trick, Mister Cardrie,
- 6:55just gone. What rope trick? It is an illusion? Carlos was
- 6:59where. He wouldn't tell me how it worked, but he said it was
- 7:02the most spectacular trick he'd ever created. It was here on this desk only
- 7:06this afternoon. A trick as good as that would be worth a fortune to
- 7:10Nymagy. That must have been what he was shouting about, shouting, what
- 7:14do you mean? Well? We had an early dinner and I went up
- 7:16to my room about six, Yes, and a few minutes later I heard
- 7:19Carlos screaming at someone. He was in a rage. I didn't think anything
- 7:23about it at the time. Carlos was always excitable, rememberbody said. He
- 7:27was shouting, no, you cannot have it, No one can have it.
- 7:31You haven't had any idea whom he was talking to. No, I
- 7:34haven't. People were always dropping in. He'd go to the door and this
- 7:38wheelchair let them in. Himself. That is how Alma Whiting got in this
- 7:43afternoon. Alma Whiting, isn't she a magician too? Yes she was.
- 7:46She was here this afternoon. Maybe I've had a top two. You will
- 7:49find her at the Elton Theater competing for the Foot and No One say.
- 7:53I read about the Foot and the Ward on the paper today. It's a
- 7:56ten thousand dollars prize for the best magic trick of the year, isn't it.
- 8:00Maybe he could not have been known, mis she noting all before this
- 8:03happened. That's the same, missus Canstra. She may be able to give
- 8:07us some information. That's you get that police call through right away. We're
- 8:09going to see a show tonight, after all. I beg your pardon,
- 8:24mister Fulton, who let you into my box? I distinctly told you.
- 8:26My name's Nick Carter U Nick Carter, the detective. That's right. This
- 8:31is my secretary of Patsy Bowen. How do you do well? I'm happy
- 8:33to meet you both, I'm sure, but what are you doing here?
- 8:35I'd like to talk with one of your performers. I'll a Whiting, but
- 8:39perhaps you could tell me when the best time would be. But Elma's on
- 8:41in a few minutes. Is it something urgent? Is if you'll call murder
- 8:45urgent murder? Carlos Canestra was stabbed to death about six thirty this evening.
- 8:48Canisto stabbed doctor. I can't believe it, sorry, but he was,
- 8:54and Miss Whiting seems to be the last person who saw him alive. Mister
- 8:56Pholton, tell me if you have any of the magicians done a rope trick
- 8:58and ropeck? Now, no, can this s Troe dead? The greatest
- 9:03magician in the world has ever known dead? Well, can you take us
- 9:07backstage and introduce us to Miss Whiting? No, certainly, I'll take you
- 9:09back just as soon as Marvella finishes his act. He's nearly true. I
- 9:13have to stay and judge the contest fic. You know, thank you,
- 9:16thank you. Oh ladies and gentlemen, watch close with me. This is
- 9:22the contest trick coming up. Well, you're a patient to this very familiar
- 9:26updy holding my hand, common ordinary piece of broke me. Do you suppose
- 9:31that work could a w But I hope to find out before long watches that
- 9:48Miss bows the credit dark backstage here, Oh, there's Elma Elma Alma.
- 9:52Yes, mister Fulton, this is mister Carter and mister Bowen, Alma.
- 9:56How do you do I'm not something Terrible's have and Comistro is dead, is
- 10:01what you're stabbed about? Six thirty this evening, this writing? Who killed
- 10:05him? I step, we're trying to find out. You mind telling me
- 10:07where you were at that time? I was right here in the theater rehearsing.
- 10:11I suppose you can prove this, of course I can. Mavello was
- 10:13here too when he saw me. If you think you're going to put the
- 10:16blame on me, you're out of your mind. What's the audience laughing at?
- 10:20Oh that's the comedy magician going on after Marvella's act. Oh do you
- 10:24want to talk to Mavello? To mister Carter, Yes I do. I'll
- 10:26get him right away. Mister Carter, I don't understand this. Why would
- 10:31anybody want to kill Carlos? Well, missus Kinestro thinks it was to steal
- 10:33a magic trick he just perfected. That's ridiculously she knows this. Nobody who
- 10:39knew Carlus would do anything like this? Why not? Because he well,
- 10:43I mean they know they couldn't get away with it. Why not? Look,
- 10:48I've got to check my props. I'll talk to you in the axe
- 10:50over. Is that all right? Okay? Thanks? What do you think?
- 10:54Make listen? She isn't telling us Bessie, and I don't know whether
- 10:58she's afraid of them. I thought this was a magic sill. That's the
- 11:01idea of the Clowning family relief. I suppose killed time. While he's stripe
- 11:05one, I can set up the next. Mister Catta, this is Marvello,
- 11:07one of our best magicians. Is he true? The great kind is
- 11:11true? He's deep. Yes, you'll excuse me, won't you? Mister
- 11:16Katta. I have to get back to my box before Alma zach staff chure.
- 11:18Go right ahead, mister bogg uh Novello? What time did you get
- 11:22to the theater tonight? About six o'clock? Anyone see you here at six?
- 11:26Certainly I spoke to his white things. I can either. I say
- 11:30you're her alibi and she is yours. What are you getting at a solution
- 11:33to a murder? I hope, Avella. Where's the rope you used tonight?
- 11:37I have it to write here in my coat book. That's funny.
- 11:41Now, don't tell me it's disappeared. No, no, no, of
- 11:46course not. Oh here it is in my left pocket. I thought it
- 11:50was in the right one. That's all I see, Mata bar Well on
- 11:54my rope. For what, I'm sending it to the police, laboratory police.
- 11:58Maybe this is the rope that will killed Conestro's killer. Nick, Where
- 12:16are you being? I'm the whiting backs almost over many had him to send
- 12:20an officer overly here to pick up that rope. Oh are they going to
- 12:22make a comparison test? Yeah, And if those fibers we found under canstrous
- 12:26pingernails are from the same rope that my velo used, it'll show up heap.
- 12:28Look what you may have another rope for the sergeant to pick up.
- 12:33Look what Alm was doing out there on the stage. What's she doing up
- 12:35there on that platform? Listen, ladies and gentlemen, you're all representatives of
- 12:41the audience. Have examined this rope to be sure there is no trippery.
- 12:45Play themselves applied the ropes firmly around my neck. Two rope tricks tonight.
- 12:50Seize the rope tested with the heavy standbag. You've see with your own eyes,
- 12:54and it does not race within eight feet of the floor. Hey,
- 12:58she going to jumpost that platform with the rope on her knae's of course.
- 13:01As soon as you fall, she'll be on a sight behind that screen.
- 13:03I'll be glad it's her instead of me. My hands, I'm securely tied
- 13:07as well as my feet. Looks like a good trick. It's been done
- 13:11by the committee from the audience, and that's t's real. Quick though she
- 13:15may find this is only a rehearsal for the real thing. And no,
- 13:18don't dead dick. She jumped. Yeah, now, there shouldn't be a
- 13:31dead board like this. Why doesn't she come out from behind that screen or
- 13:35whatever she supposed to do? I don't know. That's something's gone wrong.
- 13:39Lookuse man. They're running back to the screen and mister footman's coming up over
- 13:43the footlights. Something has yeah up the way quite stuck. The trick didn't
- 13:54work. She's at the end of a rope. The rope which she hoped
- 14:03would win her the ten thousand dollars put in. The board swings the lifeless
- 14:07body of Alma fighting on. We'll see what happens in just a minute.
- 14:16Now, back to the case of the Magic Rope. Today's adventure with Nick
- 14:20Carter, brought to you by new post war old Dutch cleanser. As the
- 14:24police cleared the theater, the body of Alma Fighting is lowered to the stage
- 14:28and Nick Carter begins his investigation. She's dead, all right? Her next
- 14:35ken nikel happened? What went wrong? I don't know? Hey? Does
- 14:39anybody here know this trick? How are you supposed to work? Yes?
- 14:43Yes, I do. Oh you I'm Sam Foster. I do the comedy
- 14:46clown eye? Well? What was the trick she tried to do? As
- 14:50she was supposed to jump off the platform onto the stage, the rope was
- 14:52too short for her to reach the stage. I was watching when they tested
- 14:56it with the sand bang on. Oh, but there's about five for the
- 14:58slight concealed in that cross father rope hangs from Oh. Alma could release it
- 15:01by stepping on a foot switch on the platform. Then when she hit the
- 15:05floor, she could grab the rope and yank and tight with her hands to
- 15:07make it look as though she were suspended in midair. Uh huh. The
- 15:09audience couldn't see her behind the screen. Of course, her hands were tied.
- 15:13Oh no, no, no, she got the loose during the pattern
- 15:16before she jumped, and my part of the act was to come up through
- 15:18the trap door in the stage and take her place. I see. Then
- 15:22she'd step out in front, pull away the screen, and instead of Alma
- 15:24being suspended there, the audience would see me in this clown suit hanging from
- 15:28the noose by my feet. All things took only about five seconds, and
- 15:31the turlo messed in with that foot switch that was supposed to release the extra
- 15:33rope. Yeah, something must have gone wrong with it. Show me that
- 15:37switch, will you works by electricity? Here? See this wire running up
- 15:43the back of the platform to it. Hey, look, Nick, the
- 15:48wire has been caught for the second time. Tonight Patsy were face to face
- 15:54with murder. Nick watched the audio coming back here at Canestro's house. Remember
- 16:10what all my whiting said that no one who knew Chnestro would have killed him
- 16:14to get the rope trick. Yes, but I don't know what she meant
- 16:17by it, do I? But I think perhaps missus Canstol does missus sorry
- 16:22to disturb you, Missus Canstrol, Please not now come back tomorrow. I'm
- 16:26sorry, but this can't wait. The Knick's trying to help you, Missus
- 16:30cannestro, but they can help me. No, Carlos is gone. Maybe
- 16:36I should be glad he's at peace now. No more soft fering, no
- 16:40more, no more, what no, no, except for the lameess.
- 16:47His health was perfect. What was wrong? Then? Is mine? His
- 16:52mind? Who said anything about his mind? All my whiting told me that,
- 16:56Ahma, writing, I might have known. Look, missus Canestra,
- 17:00your husband was a famous man, a public figure. You can't hide important
- 17:03facts about a man like that. But I had too. His public knew
- 17:07him. Is the great Canestra A named It meant as much in the theater
- 17:11as Bernhard Caruso. Pablo, of course, could not chatter that illusion.
- 17:17I could not let the world know that the great Consterol had lost his man.
- 17:22Oh that's awful. So that's what I Almah meant by saying that anyone
- 17:26who knew Canestra wouldn't steal his trick. Elma new that is what caused his
- 17:30accident. His mind snapped during the performance that ninety said, I, miss
- 17:33the only one who knows you say no one else suspected your husband's condition.
- 17:37No, you always talked rationally when he had visitors. He'd boast about the
- 17:42new illusions. He was creating poor, pitiful little tricks that wouldn't fool a
- 17:48baby. I knew his rope trick was no good, but I know someone's
- 17:53at the door. I'll go Why hello, Carter, Marvello and I stop
- 18:00by to see whether we could do anything for Missus Canestra. I'm glad you
- 18:03did, mister Fulton. Come on in, you too, Marvello, huh,
- 18:07thank you. Oh Patsy, Are you and Missus canstro coming to the
- 18:11workshop here? Please? I want to try an experiment of an experiment.
- 18:15Don't tell me you're going to try to produce rabbits out of a hats,
- 18:18mister Carter. Rabbits, no, Marvello, I'm going to try to produce
- 18:25some murderer. You mean you got us all here in the workshop just to
- 18:37tell us Chinestro's rope trick was worthless. Mister Carter, well, I thought
- 18:40you might be interested in knowing it. It was worth about fifty cents the
- 18:42cost of the rope itself. Damn that boves I did not steal it.
- 18:45You saw my rope trick, you heard? Have your audience uploaded? Mavello.
- 18:48I got a report from the police laboratory on that rope you used tonight.
- 18:52The fibers matched those I found under Canestro's fingernails perfectly. What are you
- 18:56trying to say. I'm saying that your rope is the one that was stolen
- 19:00out of this room early this evening. The rope somebody killed Carlos Canestro for
- 19:03no, no, I did not do it. It is a lie.
- 19:06I'll tell you who killed him. Missus Canistro did it what she was wildly
- 19:11jealous of Alman Carlos. Everybody in the provision knew that is a lie.
- 19:15After she killed him. It would have been easy enough for her to sneak
- 19:18backstage and cut the wire on that foot switch. A good theory except for
- 19:22one thing. What's there? Alma Whiting left me to check her props just
- 19:26before I talked to you, Mabello, and she certainly wouldn't have overlood testing
- 19:29anything as important as that switch. Her life depended on it, naturally,
- 19:32right then, the wire was cut after she tested it in the last two
- 19:34or three minutes before she started erect and at that time we were all standing
- 19:38within a few feet of the platform that contained the switch. If Missus s
- 19:41Connestro had been there, I'd have seen her. So you're trying to put
- 19:45the blame on me. Oh, I'm not. You were talking to me
- 19:48all during that time. Marvella couldn't have done it. No, he couldn't,
- 19:52and nobody else was there except the stage hands. Well, I think
- 19:56we can count them out, mister Fulton. They'd have no re isn't to
- 20:00kill either Alma or Canstral. But that does not leave anyone bus click watches
- 20:04he's getting away the way all button caught her. Put away that gun.
- 20:07You don't seriously think of a man in my poss I don't think multon.
- 20:11I know here, Patsy, you hold a gun while I frisk him.
- 20:14This is ridiculous. I could buy himsell can that's draw a hundred times.
- 20:18Why should I steal anything from him? Because there's some things that money can't
- 20:21buy, and that rope trick was one of them. You're being silly,
- 20:23am I. You're crazy about magic Fulton, and when you couldn't buy that
- 20:27trick, you'll kill Canester to get it. Has he got a gun?
- 20:30Me? No, there's nothing at him. Keep him covered while I call
- 20:33a police car. Uh huh, at least headquarters and hurry. Oh Patsy.
- 20:44Yes, Nick, Patsy, I'll look at me for a minute,
- 20:48Yes, Nick, and you see any things? You got the gun away
- 20:52from me? Yes, thanks for looking at COTTERR instead of me, Miss
- 20:55going now put down that phone, Cottter Okay, Yes, I was kind
- 21:00of dumb, wasn't it. Yes, you were, and I'm in command
- 21:03now. But you killed Canestro, didn't you, fulk? Yes, you
- 21:06were right about that, I thought so. I've always wanted to own one
- 21:08great trick, one real illusion that no one else had, So I tried
- 21:12to buy the rope trick from him, but he laughed at me, said
- 21:15his trick was much too good for a near beginner like me. I flew
- 21:18into a race and grabbed the knife off the desk and stabbed him. Yes,
- 21:22he shouldn't have laughed. And after you found out the rope trick wasn't
- 21:25worth anything, you try to put the blame on my Vellow by planning the
- 21:26rope on him, didn't you. Naturally, when I brought my Vellow across
- 21:30the stage to you, I took the rope he'd used out of his right
- 21:33coat pocket and put Canistro's rope in his left pocket. So it twas you
- 21:37who tried to find me. Yes, mar Vello, even Canistro couldn't have
- 21:41done a neather bit of slight of hand than that. What about Alma Polton?
- 21:44When I switched the ropes on mar Vello, I looked up and saw
- 21:47her watching me, so there was nothing else I could do. All right,
- 21:52what's your next trick? A disappearing act? Exactly? I'm going to
- 21:56lock you all in here while I take my leave. Stand away from that
- 21:59door, Cotta, Sorry, Fulton, I'm not moving. Get away from
- 22:02that door. I'll put a bullet in you. You're not leaving this room.
- 22:03Fulton. Oh, Nick means it. I know it does, and
- 22:07so do I. All right, if that's the way you wanted. While
- 22:15the others stand by dumbfounded, Phulton, at point blank range, fires his
- 22:18revolver directly if Nick Cutter's heart We'll see what happens in just a minute now
- 22:29for the conclusion of the case of the Magic Rope. Today's adventure with Nick
- 22:33Carter brought to you by new post War old Dutch cleanser. In the workshop
- 22:37of carlos Chnestral, world famous magician JB. Fulton makes a desperate attempt to
- 22:41escape as He points a gun at Nick's hart and says, get away from
- 22:45that door, Cutter, I'll put a bullet in you. You're not leaving
- 22:47this room, Pholton, all right, if that's the way you want it,
- 22:52all right, get through playing with that gun, Phulton, you are
- 22:56Please notice that I've got your cutter to the revolver that shoots real bullets.
- 23:00That's what happens. The revolver Fulton has only shoots blank cartridges. I've picked
- 23:03it up here in the workshop. It must be the gun Carlos used in
- 23:06his act. I guess it was missus chinnestrool but Fulton didn't know it.
- 23:08Why you'll step at Fulton, all right, Patsy, call headquarters and tell
- 23:14him to come here and pick up Fulton the great Nick. When are you
- 23:26going to tell me about that gun trick? Oh? That why, there's
- 23:30nothing to at Patsy. U haven't you ever seen a magician have somebody shoot
- 23:33a gun at him at close range? Not until I saw Fulton do it
- 23:36to you. Well, the magician announces what's going to happen. Then he
- 23:38gets people up on the stage to examine the gun. Army officers if possible,
- 23:42and it's a real gun. Certainly it is. But after the gun's
- 23:47been examined, the magician's assistant makes a quick switch. So I get it.
- 23:49The gun that fires blanks is substituted for the real gun. That's it,
- 23:53And that gun has no hole in the barrel for the bullet to come
- 23:56out of. Hell. I sure wish I'd known all that when I was
- 23:59holding that gun on Fulton. You see, I didn't have a Nichols worth
- 24:03of proof that Pulton was yelly Patsy, so I had to trick him into
- 24:04a confession. I've learned from experience that a murderer talks a lot more freely
- 24:10with a gun in his hand. Well, he certainly talked plenty. I
- 24:14guess it only goes to prove the truth of the old saying. Oh what
- 24:18I was saying is that I give a man enough roupe and I'll hang himself.

- 26:52to the great detectives of old time Radio with Adam Graham. And now let's
- 26:56get back into the show. Welcome back. Well, I love mysteries involving
- 27:07magic. It's really hard to mess those up. Just great atmosphere and just
- 27:12a great fuel for the imagination. This one wasn't perfect, and it did
- 27:19have its problems, mainly because in this case, it really did feel like
- 27:25when it came to the final confrontation with the villain that Nick Carter was in
- 27:30a battle of wits with an unarmed man. That was such a weak trick
- 27:36and the guy fell for it. Hey, Patsy, will you look in
- 27:38this general direction for no good reason other than to make it look like you're
- 27:44we're distracted, so that we can take away so we can take away the
- 27:48gun, and he can reveal all of his secrets. Yeah, he can
- 27:52do that. Ah, I've got the upper end now. But other than
- 27:55that, an interesting story. Well, now we do turn to listener comments
- 28:00and feedback at any rate. We turn now to listener comments and feedback,
- 28:07and Laurie says, watching an old thriller episode tonight, mister George, Virginia
- 28:12Gregg is one of the main characters, and it's so weird to see her
- 28:15in an unsympathetic role. When I close my eyes and I can tell it
- 28:19as her. I've also been listening to old time radio shows on Cyrus XM,
- 28:26and it is so cool to hear so many voices that I know now
- 28:30because of your podcast. Thanks for all you do well, Thanks so much,
- 28:33Laurie. And it's always a treat when I'll be watching an old movie.
- 28:37It doesn't happen all the time because there were a lot of movie actors
- 28:42that didn't appear in radio, and a lot of radio actors that didn't go
- 28:49into a lot of movie work. Those few times when I'm watching a movie
- 28:55and I hear a voice and I'm like, I know, that is such
- 28:59a wonderful moment. Of course, Virginia greg has played a lot of characters
- 29:06in her career, both sympathetic and non sympathetic. Clearly, she played a
- 29:11lot of fatale roles in things like Pat Novak for Hire and even in John
- 29:18Boller her role in the Lamar Matter. But I think it's the more positive
- 29:26roles that do stick out in people's minds, because when I think about the
- 29:32less sympathetic ones, I think of some of her ones where she played on
- 29:38When she played on Dragnet in the sixties, there was the Pyramid Swindle episode
- 29:47and she was actually hilarious in that one, And in the nineteen sixty six
- 29:52Dragnet film there was also a TV episode where she played a sociopathic woman who
- 30:00I was willing to ruin two Pulman's careers in order to steal some money she
- 30:06claimed they had stolen. But I have to admit that wasn't one of her
- 30:10most memorable roles. I mean, she was capable of doing so many roles
- 30:15very competently and very well. But I think it is probably the ones that
- 30:22really stand out in my mind are things like the Ras Muscin' matter and the
- 30:30Mags Palace matter, And of course there was her performance actually in two roles
- 30:34of the Nick Scharn matter, and of course brooksy on Let George Do It
- 30:41or Helena asher On Richard Diamond. Yeah, she could do a lot of
- 30:47other things, and she could be a femme fatale any given episode, but
- 30:52it's the probably the more heartwarming performances and humorous ones that really stand out in
- 30:59my mind. Thanks so much for the comment, Laurie. We'll be back
- 31:02tomorrow with yours truly, Johnny Dollar next Thursday, another episode of Nick Carter.
