- 0:00Speaker 1: Big game this weekend in Wellington all Blacks Wallabies, and
- 0:03Speaker 1: there's been some bad weather. We're joined by news talks.
- 0:06Speaker 1: There'd be rugby commentator, the voice of Rugby, Elliot Smith. Elliott,
- 0:09Speaker 1: good morning, Good morning Ryan, he did, flights are right
- 0:12Speaker 1: for you. I'm assuming you're in Wellington this morning.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I am indeed no. We arrived in earlier on the
- 0:18Speaker 2: week and so it has actually been quite good up
- 0:20Speaker 2: until yesterday when it packed in big time and has
- 0:22Speaker 2: been raining and windy and everything else that you associate
- 0:25Speaker 2: with bad days in the capital. But the good news
- 0:28Speaker 2: that's sexually supposed to be all right for the game
- 0:30Speaker 2: itself tomorrow. We just have to get through a couple
- 0:32Speaker 2: of days of bad weather in the build up to
- 0:35Speaker 2: kick off tomorrow night at seven o'clock.
- 0:37Speaker 1: So you've been the first time you've been there in
- 0:39Speaker 1: a little while. Does it look dead to you, like
- 0:41Speaker 1: everyone says Elliott?
- 0:42Speaker 2: The city It does look it looks a lot quieter
- 0:46Speaker 2: than it has in the past. And look at it
- 0:48Speaker 2: is actually quite noticeable when you come in you go, oh,
- 0:50Speaker 2: this isn't the sort of bustling sort of place that
- 0:53Speaker 2: it was maybe even two or three years ago. And
- 0:57Speaker 2: you know this sort of funky little capital that made
- 1:00Speaker 2: it used to be. It is quite empty in the
- 1:03Speaker 2: city and not quite the happening place it used to be.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So you know, maybe they'll get forty zero or there
- 1:11Speaker 2: about them to the rugby tomorrow night and they will
- 1:13Speaker 2: revitalize things and everyone will be happy.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Yeah, be good to see a crowd mine. Hey there's two.
- 1:17Speaker 1: There's a Whodo and a Jinx. There's the twenty minute jinks,
- 1:21Speaker 1: the last final twenty minutes of the game. We don't
- 1:23Speaker 1: seem to be able to score any points. And then
- 1:24Speaker 1: there's the Wellington who do We haven't won any of
- 1:27Speaker 1: the last six tests in Wellington.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a couple of things to sort out tomorrow
- 1:32Speaker 2: night from an All Blacks perspectives, and they're from a
- 1:35Speaker 2: recent record. First and foremost has to be getting that
- 1:38Speaker 2: twenty minute jinks sort it out, because this is becoming
- 1:42Speaker 2: troublesome for the All Blacks. That's becoming a real issue
- 1:45Speaker 2: for them in games. They can see yellow cards and
- 1:48Speaker 2: penalties in a drifting out of the games. Last week
- 1:51Speaker 2: they were still good enough to get the win against Australia,
- 1:54Speaker 2: but they need to get that sorted out first. And
- 1:56Speaker 2: foremost and find some points in the last twenty and
- 1:59Speaker 2: there you would think if they get some points in
- 2:01Speaker 2: the last twenty, that will mean that they get a
- 2:04Speaker 2: result and therefore lift that capital curse. Quite remarkable. They
- 2:07Speaker 2: haven't won here since twenty eighteen, a real run of
- 2:12Speaker 2: four results in that time, so they need to get
- 2:14Speaker 2: that sortied. Discipline is the key. They get that right.
- 2:17Speaker 2: They can get some points on the board and they'll
- 2:19Speaker 2: get things sorted. But for the fact that it's having
- 2:21Speaker 2: five games in a row now across the Rugby Championship,
- 2:24Speaker 2: there's nothing short of remarkable. It's beginning to be talked about,
- 2:27Speaker 2: beginning to be a real issue for this all black steam.
- 2:29Speaker 1: It sounds like it. Elliott, thank you for that. We
- 2:31Speaker 1: look forward to your commentary on Saturday night. Elliott Smith
