- 0:00Progress is incredible, okay?
- 0:01Yeah.
- 0:02From someone who says, you know, I believe in Jesus, but I don't believe in all that stuff.
- 0:06I said, well, first of all, if you believe in Jesus, you've got to believe in the stuff, okay?
- 0:11And he's asking me questions.
- 0:13He goes, well, I want to hear Jesus's, his words.
- 0:16So I have ordered him a red letter Bible edition.
- 0:20Did you?
- 0:20And I just praise God.
- 0:22I just praise God for that window that opens daily.

- 0:43This is exciting.
- 0:44Here's the question.
- 0:45How would you like to ignite your life?
- 0:47Stay tuned.
- 0:49Hi, everybody.
- 0:49Welcome back to Ignite.
- 0:50Boy, do I have a guest for you today.
- 0:52You know I'm a car guy, and I love hanging out with car guys.
- 0:57In case you get to hang out with car guys that are also Christians, you know, wow.
- 1:03I always say the best thing of all is to be a car guy.
- 1:05I mean, hey, I'm a car guy.
- 1:08all my life.
- 1:08I love cars.
- 1:09I love car guys.
- 1:10I think car guys are about the best people in the world, quite frankly.
- 1:15That might surprise you.
- 1:16Or why are you not saying Christians?
- 1:17You know, I'm with Christians a lot, of course.
- 1:21And they're all types of spots and colors.
- 1:24And most of them, I don't know if they're really Christians.
- 1:30And they're doing things that I don't want me to be
- 1:38It's because of Christians.
- 1:41Christians indulging in language and dress and conversation and laughter at the wrong things.
- 1:49And yet, I mean, they may be on their way to heaven, but they're certainly not being salt and light, you know.
- 1:56We are called to be salt and light, but I was explained a long time ago, salt and light have one thing in common.
- 2:04They both change their environment.
- 2:07And the point is, is our environment changing you, your life?
- 2:12Where are you now compared to where you were a year ago or 10 years ago?
- 2:19A lot of, if not most of the Christians that I was with 10 years ago were not in the same place.
- 2:23They're not living at the same place.
- 2:26So the impact.
- 2:28So are you changing your environment or is the environment changing you?
- 2:32Keith Collins, my great guest today, is going to run right by me.
- 2:38I can't keep up with this guy.
- 2:40Keith, great to have you on the show.
- 2:43And you are, apart from being a creator, we're going to talk all about that, but you are the man.
- 2:49You are the man that God has given you such talent in multi-forms of artistry that's been recognized by the world.
- 2:59So tell us a little bit about first before your faith.
- 3:02Tell us a little bit about your business.
- 3:03What do you do?
- 3:06Well, professional artist with no boundaries from subject matter.
- 3:12Tapestries, I have a couple of them behind me so you can see what they look like on camera.
- 3:17We make the finest tapestries.
- 3:20Hey, hold it up so we can see it.
- 3:22These are car mats, but they're not regular car mats.
- 3:26They're made like little rugs for the home.
- 3:28And I've been doing this for over 40 years.
- 3:30Wow.
- 3:31It's taken me all over the world.
- 3:32I've met people, my clientele consists of gangsters to royalty.
- 3:38And I've had an opportunity to meet a lot of different people.
- 3:42Opportunity never amazes me, or never cease to amaze me, how that window's open and you can speak about the things of the Lord.
- 3:50Yeah, yeah.
- 3:51With the opportunity.
- 3:52I mean, there's folks I would never met if I wasn't doing this, so it's a vehicle.
- 3:55It's your platform, it's your pulpit.
- 3:59Yeah, definitely, definitely.
- 4:01When I walk into the great car collections and I get into many of them, if not most of them, I look for your art pieces because every,
- 4:10great collection.
- 4:12There's some massive whatever piece of your, I mean, you're greatly acclaimed.
- 4:19What are your most favorite pieces with car?
- 4:21Because we have car guys watching us.
- 4:23Where are you particularly proud of pieces of art that you have in some high profile collection?
- 4:29High profile.
- 4:31Well, I'll start with our dear friend, Peter Mullen.
- 4:34Oh, man.
- 4:35The Peter Mullen collection is one of the finest as far as automobiles are concerned.
- 4:41And between him and Murley, they have owned some of my favorite pieces.
- 4:45I did a portrait of.
- 4:46of Peter in one of his open cars.
- 4:49I did his Delahaye 22 feet long tapestry.
- 4:54Those are some of my favorites.
- 4:56Michael Jackson was a major client in the 80s.
- 4:58He said, whatever you make, I'll buy it.
- 5:01What kind of, yeah, wasn't that great, okay?
- 5:04As far as other car guys, Bruce Myers is a collector of mine.
- 5:09Ray Shear, dear friend.
- 5:12It just goes on and on.
- 5:14It does.
- 5:15Those are some names that come to mind.
- 5:17They're all.
- 5:17Ray Shear.
- 5:18Yeah.
- 5:19So I did, I did, I did for him, I did some guitars because he owned Guitars Center at one time.
- 5:24I did guitars and cars.
- 5:25So there's a Woody I did for him, but there's also a wooden guitar laying on the threshold of the car.
- 5:32So those are things that come to mind.
- 5:34But there's a ton, ton of things that I've done over a 52-year period.
- 5:39I started when I was 19.
- 5:41I'm about to hit 72 years.
- 5:43And I just praise God.
- 5:45What a compliment from the ultimate creator to give me the gift of creativity.
- 5:52Exactly.
- 5:53Explain the breadth of artists or the types of things you create from this to this.
- 6:02Explain how— Okay, well, you talked about cars.
- 6:05Because most people are in one discipline.
- 6:07You have this—
- 6:09Well, creativity, there's no boundary.
- 6:12So when it comes to art, there's no boundary.
- 6:15So, you know, I also paint big time.
- 6:19I like thick oil paint.
- 6:21There's tapestries, there's carpets for your floor, there's carpets for your car.
- 6:25So some kind of way, I'm going to get you.
- 6:27Yeah.
- 6:28You got a house, I'm going to get you.
- 6:29You got a car, I'm going to get you.
- 6:31You got some walls, I'm going to get you.
- 6:32You got a museum, I'm going to get you.
- 6:34And my intro is, I remember when I did work for Otis Chandler, I said, I've heard about you for years and I'm going to tell you something, Otis, I can do something for you, nobody can.
- 6:44He goes, really?
- 6:46That sparked the conversation and about a month later, he's like, I want 12 pieces.
- 6:54And so Otis Chandler, he owned the LA Times and mega car collector, had everything, but loved your art.
- 7:08If you're a car guy, you've experienced Keith's art.
- 7:10You may not have known his name necessarily, but you can't escape it.
- 7:13You're all over the place.
- 7:14And so I've always admired you from afar.
- 7:17We've never had a time to really hang out much.
- 7:21But we're at Pebble Beach, folks, you know, a few weeks ago.
- 7:25And they have this one area for artists to talk.
- 7:29And right at the front door, you're in the best place of all.
- 7:33And we sit and talk.
- 7:35And it was fun because we had a mutual friend beside us.
- 7:40Not quite where he is spiritually, but I love this guy to death.
- 7:44And what prompted me the best was, I caught a twofer.
- 7:48When we're having this going on, but there's another thing going on at the same time.
- 7:52And so he was sitting listening like a tennis match, you know, as we're talking about how much fun we're having, serving the Lord and sharing our faith.
- 8:03That was a moment.
- 8:03Yes.
- 8:04Yes, yes.
- 8:06It was definitely a moment.
- 8:07And he's one of the targets that God has given me.
- 8:13I have currently three targets.
- 8:15And I can give you—the progress is incredible, okay?
- 8:18Yeah.
- 8:19From someone who says, you know, I believe in Jesus, but I don't believe in all that stuff.
- 8:23I said, well, first of all, if you believe in Jesus—
- 8:26you've got to believe in the stuff, okay?
- 8:28And he's asking me questions.
- 8:30He goes, well, I want to hear Jesus's, his words.
- 8:33So I have ordered him a red letter Bible edition.
- 8:37Did you?
- 8:38And I just praise God.
- 8:39I just praise God for that window that opens daily.
- 8:44Whether it's somebody, Uber, it's an Uber guy, that you have a captive audience that you can talk to about the things of God.
- 8:51and not so lofty where they can't understand it in a very practical way, because Jesus was practical.
- 8:57He certainly was.
- 8:59And yes, folks, it's move everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 9:03And you have some things that happen with repetition.
- 9:07And as anybody moves around much, Karen and I move around a lot.
- 9:11So we're always having drivers, Uber drivers, whatever.
- 9:14Man, you have a captive audience for 10, 15, an hour.
- 9:16No question.
- 9:18I've heard all kinds of responses from I'm a believer to I'm coming back as a cat.
- 9:24You know?
- 9:25I said, well, who do you know has come back as a cat?
- 9:27Well, I don't know anybody.
- 9:28Well, I can document Jesus coming back.
- 9:30500 witnesses saw him.
- 9:32There's 6,000 pieces of original papers and documents that talked about him, even though Testament predicted his coming.
- 9:41So you got something you heard, and I got something that could be proven historically.
- 9:47Well, your passion is wonderful.
- 9:51Your talent is wonderful.
- 9:53I put it in words oftentimes.
- 9:55You know, Chip Fuskin, a friend of mine, we go to the same church.
- 9:58And I often tell people, I say, you know, I love Chip.
- 10:01And I just mesmerized when he's, in fact, when he does an autograph, he usually does a car with it.
- 10:08I mean, he's so good and precise.
- 10:10And, but I explained to people, you know, if I had started from childhood and worked and spent every moment,
- 10:20learning what Chip does all my life, I would, it would be a joke.
- 10:28I mean, it wouldn't be anywhere remotely close to, because he didn't learn that.
- 10:32That's a God gift.
- 10:35God gave him that gift.
- 10:37And God has given you folks gifts.
- 10:39The question is, what are you doing with your gifts?
- 10:43And I'll even go so far as say, you know, I speak at car shows,
- 10:47All the time.
- 10:48And even at Autorama, I give the Riddler Award every year.
- 10:53Wow.
- 10:54Wow.
- 10:55I'm always talking about it.
- 10:57I'm not amazed by it.
- 10:58If they want to throw me off the stage, they can.
- 11:01If I don't invite them back, okay, but I've got to share my piece.
- 11:06And I often say, you know, when I walk through a car show, I'm a car guy.
- 11:13Um, I, I see a car show more than one way.
- 11:16And one way is I just say, thank you, God, because you know, every one of these cars, the talent, the effort, and the ones had the genius for that suspension, for that electrical system, for that, for, for the wheels, for the, for the Concord, you know, you get the point.
- 11:34And whether they realize it or not, that talent they have, I mean, I know they worked hard and honed their skill.
- 11:43But most people couldn't do what they do, no matter how hard they work.
- 11:48It's a gift from God.
- 11:49And so when I walk through a car show, I literally look and just say, God, look at all the good you did, all the talent, all the people you inspired.
- 12:00Yes.
- 12:00And all that they would understand, surely they know it was already a gift to them.
- 12:05I guess they're proud of their own gift and only realize who the giver of the gift is.
- 12:09But that's our job to remind them of it.
- 12:12But I do see how God, every good gift comes from God.
- 12:15And I know that's a theme that you speak to very clearly.
- 12:19No question, no question.
- 12:21I mean, the Old Testament, when the tabernacle was being built, God chose artisans.
- 12:28He specifically says in the Old Testament, artisans, artists were chosen.
- 12:33And I mean, you got to understand, too, even though Noah had a plan, he still had a gift.
- 12:42To build art.
- 12:43That's right.
- 12:43Which they recently have, they just don't want to admit, they keep saying, you know, it looks like it.
- 12:48It kind of, well, just go in there.
- 12:50It has corridors.
- 12:51We've seen them.
- 12:52What more do you need?
- 12:53But, no, I love art.
- 12:55I've always been an artist.
- 12:57No formal trading.
- 12:58Matter of fact, the only class I ever took was a ceramics class.
- 13:02and in college and I was kicked out because I hadn't prepared, prepared my clay, right?
- 13:07It could have blown the whole kiln up.
- 13:09And the teacher said, Mr. Collins, not only are you out of my class, but you have absolutely no talent.
- 13:16And you know, but you know, it was good there.
- 13:18It wasn't like, well, that's going to motivate me.
- 13:20I just said, okay, cool.
- 13:21And left the class, you know, there's been no formal education other than my former relationship with Jesus Christ.
- 13:29That is our one way to the father.
- 13:32Amen.
- 13:33Well, for a guy that doesn't have any talent, you've done all right for yourself.
- 13:36I've been faking it, man.
- 13:37Faking it.
- 13:40Well, you know, our theme is move everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 13:46And you exemplify that so very well.
- 13:50And you do it every day.
- 13:51I mean, so.
- 13:52I do.
- 13:53I do.
- 13:53And you know what?
- 13:54The Bible talks about our steps being ordered.
- 13:57I pray in the morning, Lord, let me recognize the steps you've ordered for me.
- 14:01And let me have a great attitude.
- 14:03Let me not be irritable.
- 14:04Let me represent you.
- 14:05That's my main prayer in the morning.
- 14:07I have a whole list of folks I'm praying for.
- 14:10But the prayers of a righteous man avail as much.
- 14:14Now, I want to be looked at as righteous.
- 14:16I know we're all sinners that fall short of the glory of God, so I'm not nowhere near perfect.
- 14:20But I do pray, and we have a perfect Father and a perfect advocate.
- 14:25And I want to say something else right now.
- 14:26People say, well, you know, I believe, but it's kind of uncomfortable for me.
- 14:30You know, let me ask you a question.
- 14:32I'm going to tell you uncomfortable.
- 14:33Hell is uncomfortable.
- 14:34You want to hear uncomfortable?
- 14:37eternity torment and knowing you had an opportunity to receive Christ your Lord and Savior, knowing that, that's uncomfortable.
- 14:45Burning in hell is uncomfortable.
- 14:46So I don't look at this uncomfortable thing, well, I can't really say anything.
- 14:50But first of all, it's not you that draw anybody to God.
- 14:54It's him that chooses.
- 14:55You're just the vehicle.
- 14:57Amen.
- 14:57Amen.
- 14:58Amen.
- 14:58You're just the conduit.
- 15:00Just conduit.
- 15:02Allowing God to flow through you folks is...
- 15:06is intimacy with God.
- 15:08Let me tell you how that works very quick, and I've said it many times, but when you're moving everybody, you love on everybody, and there's no training.
- 15:16People will have all these excuses.
- 15:17I wouldn't train, you haven't been trained.
- 15:19I don't have enough Babylon.
- 15:20It doesn't matter.
- 15:21Just love on people.
- 15:23Yeah, love covers the multitude of sins.
- 15:25Yeah, absolutely.
- 15:26And then that's the Holy Spirit.
- 15:28In fact, the Holy Spirit's already rid of that person before you.
- 15:31You're kind of partnering with God.
- 15:33No matter who you're talking to, the Holy Spirit's already working with him.
- 15:36He's working in all of us.
- 15:39And when you come and you join God, it's supernatural, folks.
- 15:43It's not a secular conversation.
- 15:45There's nothing in your life that's secular.
- 15:48And when you have those conversations with people who are lost, God quickly confirms to them that you're sincere and most people are starving for love and can't find anybody.
- 15:57And all of a sudden there's San Dixier guy at Starbucks and right away you just say, there's something about this person I don't, and they open up and within five minutes they're sharing their inner thoughts.
- 16:10I've been doing it for 50 years every day.
- 16:12They share.
- 16:13And you know what, Barry?
- 16:15I have a great opener.
- 16:16You can use it.
- 16:17Any of our listeners can use it.
- 16:19But it's a great opening act or question for someone you just met.
- 16:23The question is this.
- 16:25I'm going to ask you the most important question you hear all day, all week, all month, maybe all year.
- 16:30The question is this.
- 16:32Where will you be in 200 years from now?
- 16:36Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:37And you hope the door is open.
- 16:40And be ready for the responses.
- 16:42Boy, that's right there.
- 16:45I often say, because I go as the Spirit leads, and sometimes I can be more direct, and sometimes I have to be more careful.
- 16:53So I say, God, give me the words.
- 16:56I don't want it to ever be a sales pitch, so I just get on a sales pitch.
- 16:58I just want to love on sales.
- 17:00people and open up so they'll, and they guide the conversation, don't they?
- 17:05Because they will immediately start asking you questions.
- 17:08And then folks, the best part is you don't have to have the answer.
- 17:12You just don't have to have the answer because God always has the answer.
- 17:16And he promised you in Luke 12, 12, the Holy Spirit will give you the word to say when you need them.
- 17:22And I'm quickly beyond my own knowledge, although he'll give me
- 17:26life experiences I can share.
- 17:28He'll give me a scripture that I haven't heard for years, and all of a sudden I'm quoting it verbatim, and I know this is God.
- 17:35And then the person in front of us is changing, and that's what Keith and I both know at that moment.
- 17:42I mean, I don't know, there's no way else in life that I know you can do this when you know that you're actually specifically where God wants you.
- 17:52Yes, the statistics is very important.
- 17:54Think about this.
- 17:55Think about it.
- 17:55Before the foundation of the earth, the world, the galaxies, God appointed this time, not only for me and you to talk, but for that person you met.
- 18:09He ordained that time.
- 18:10Ordained it, yeah.
- 18:11And they need to understand how special they are to have God personally set up the meeting.
- 18:18If it's a moment, if it's like a start- I understand that.
- 18:22Did you hear that, folks?
- 18:24This is full time.
- 18:26This is not, you know, they say, find somebody today.
- 18:31What if I find that person at 9 o'clock in the morning?
- 18:35Am I off the clock for the rest of the day?
- 18:37I mean, that doesn't even make sense.
- 18:40So, and sometimes I feel like, I tell me, I feel like a pinball machine where I go from one to another to another to another, particularly if I'm at Seymour or a car show where a lot of people know me, have lots of conversations.
- 18:50But you never miss the moment.
- 18:54Whatever chance you have,
- 18:56And I like it when I say a lot to life.
- 19:01And I just say, be on your toes, be ready, like Kobe, get ready to ride to the basket.
- 19:07When there's an opening, go for it.
- 19:10Right, right.
- 19:11And that requires attention.
- 19:12And that actually, without realizing it, you're praying without ceasing because you just want to move everybody every day closer to Jesus.
- 19:20Who can I talk to next?
- 19:22And move them, if only it's coach.
- 19:23Yeah, right.
- 19:25They're right there, right in front of you.
- 19:27He sets it up.
- 19:27Seriously, it's amazing.
- 19:30Well, can you share some stories?
- 19:32What's a story that might come to mind that helped people understand how that could happen spontaneously without anything prepared?
- 19:39All of a sudden, you're talking to somebody that you don't even know.
- 19:43Right.
- 19:43Okay.
- 19:45Well, I'm trying to keep it.
- 19:48car related.
- 19:48So we're at a car show, right?
- 19:50Yeah.
- 19:50And people, people will ask you, you know, well, where did you go to school for this?
- 19:54You know?
- 19:55And so now, now that door is open because now, now I get to tell you where, where,
- 20:01I received my gift from.
- 20:02I said, well, it's a gift from God.
- 20:05There was no formal education.
- 20:07And they say, wow, I've never seen anything like this before.
- 20:10I said, well, that's his plan to get your attention.
- 20:13So we can talk about my work or the work you see, but it's ultimately gonna come down to who gave me the gift and you've been given a gift too.
- 20:21Let's talk about what your gift is.
- 20:23So I try to incorporate a combination of, sometimes it's a hard sell, sometimes it's a soft sell.
- 20:30Just try to be sensitive.
- 20:32I mean, I've been a salesman all my life.
- 20:35I used to pump gas on San Pedro and Adams in the 70s.
- 20:40I sold programs at the Coliseum.
- 20:42Program, get your program.
- 20:44So God was training me.
- 20:46for some fundamental salesmanship, okay?
- 20:50And all kind of gifts, you know?
- 20:54So it's just a wonderful, not like playing it down, but I want to be a salesman.
- 21:02for Jesus.
- 21:02I want to be that person that says the right thing in that split second and then also a listener.
- 21:08That's the most difficult part for me.
- 21:10That's why I prayed.
- 21:11I said, Lord, help me listen to Barry.
- 21:13Don't let me just get out of control here because you know I'll do it.
- 21:17So I'm under his reins.
- 21:19So that's an experience.
- 21:21But like I mentioned the Uber thing to you, you know, I also wanted to be a musician when I was younger.
- 21:26Matter of fact, I still have all my saxophones.
- 21:29That's something I wanted to do.
- 21:30So that's another crowd, a creative crowd that you can spread the gospel.
- 21:37But you just gotta be sensitive to what the Holy Spirit is telling you and what the person is.
- 21:43Don't come in with a preconceived agenda.
- 21:46Listen to them and he'll reveal, he'll give you the right word.
- 21:49So those are some, I mean, there's, there's tons of examples, you know, I mentioned Peter Mullen earlier, you know, we talked, we talked about the things that God, matter of fact, I met with him a year before he passed.
- 22:01I, I, I was in, I was in a,
- 22:04Oh, hi.
- 22:04Not oh, hi.
- 22:06Big sir with him.
- 22:07And we talked about the things of God.
- 22:08We talked about what happens next, Peter?
- 22:11What happens next?
- 22:12We've always had conversations.
- 22:13But the only reason I was in that position was because I'm a vendor of what I do.
- 22:19I would never have met Peter Mullet.
- 22:20I would never have met...
- 22:22Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Jackson, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
- 22:26There's a ton of people.
- 22:27I never would have met Frank Durabont that did Green Mile and Charles Chamber Dempsey.
- 22:32He's also a client.
- 22:34And these conversations, they start one way, but they ultimately come down to my representation of God through Jesus Christ.
- 22:43It's really what it comes down to.
- 22:44And the car thing... Yeah.
- 22:46And the car thing... Yeah, I'm a car guy, too.
- 22:50You know, I've owned probably...
- 22:5412 original 50s speedsters, right?
- 22:57Which is my favorite car of all time.
- 22:59You know, mainly a Porsche stuff.
- 23:02I've had 59 Chevys, big Impalas, Nomads, you know.
- 23:06So I'm hip to cars.
- 23:07I'm hip to the exotic, through Peter, I learned about the French connection, you know.
- 23:12The Delahaye, Delages, Boison, all that stuff.
- 23:15And so,
- 23:16Those doors were open because of what I do, but the doors remained open to talk about the things of Christ.
- 23:22And when you talk about cars, you know, they're man-made items.
- 23:25Imagine the perfection that is achieved by God creating you in his image and likeness.
- 23:31Even though these cars are nice, they're beautiful, they're meticulous, the boats are lined up, the paint job is in, so-and-so did, so-and-so did my paint.
- 23:39You go, whoa, so-and-so did my body, whoa, whoa.
- 23:42So-and-so did the mechanical.
- 23:44Whoa!
- 23:45I say so-and-so created me, and so-and-so created you.
- 23:49Ultimate perfection.
- 23:50So it's the same conversation.
- 23:52It's not difficult.
- 23:53It's not a difficult conversation, man.
- 23:54Well, obviously, and I will ask the interesting question, those experiences of sharing your faith, what does it do for you personally?
- 24:07it gives me assurance.
- 24:11It gives me a track record I can lean upon.
- 24:14It gives me history.
- 24:15It shows that I'm pleasing God.
- 24:17It makes him happy.
- 24:18I feel at the end of the day, I know when my day...
- 24:22has made our Lord and Savior happy.
- 24:24I know when it hasn't.
- 24:26So I like to be, I like to rejoice with him on a successful day, spreading his word.
- 24:33So that's the joy I get.
- 24:34When I walked away from you, Pell Beach, I said, that's an ignited life.
- 24:38We talk about how, this is how you have your life.
- 24:42You want to have Keith's joy?
- 24:43Well, Keith is kind of special.
- 24:46Okay, I don't understand.
- 24:47No, no, no.
- 24:48No, I'm not.
- 24:49But his joy,
- 24:52He'll tell you quickly, his joy comes from the Lord, and in sharing that joy, it gives you more joy.
- 25:01He actually said in the scripture, you know, the last parable of the tree, the fig tree in the garden, right at the end of Jesus' life, his last parable—
- 25:11And it's talking about the tree.
- 25:13And we're the branches.
- 25:16But he says when you're not just a branch, but when you bear fruit.
- 25:21Fruit.
- 25:22That's right.
- 25:22That's right.
- 25:22I think that's one of the great scriptures in the whole Bible.
- 25:25And you and I represent this very clearly.
- 25:28He says, oh, therein you're my disciple.
- 25:31Oh.
- 25:34Yes, and we are ambassadors of Christ.
- 25:39Yes.
- 25:40What is the biggest honor you could have than be a vessel and an ambassador, you know?
- 25:46Absolutely.
- 25:46Certified and qualified, okay?
- 25:48Absolutely.
- 25:49So the end of that scripture is when you bear fruit.
- 25:53I think this is one of the great scriptures in the Bible, John 15, 11, verse,
- 25:58He said, when you bear fruit, oh, now you're my disciple.
- 26:04And my joy reign with you.
- 26:06And your joy remain full.
- 26:10Right.
- 26:10And most Christians aren't walking around with joy.
- 26:13Most Christians are living in fear and trepidation and wondering where God is, particularly in these days.
- 26:20And they're missing the whole point of Christianity.
- 26:23And he says, if you love me and love your neighbor as yourself, if you're concerned for their salvation, if that's what you live for, more than selling car wax, probably.
- 26:32Getting people into heaven, that ignites your life.
- 26:35That's why I wrote this book, Ignite Your Life.
- 26:37It does.
- 26:38It does.
- 26:39Here's a life.
- 26:40Keith is an example of an ignited life, to say the least.
- 26:47Not a smooth one.
- 26:48Not a smooth one.
- 26:50But I agree.
- 26:51It remains ignited.
- 26:55Well, you do that very well.
- 26:56And it's not effort, is it?
- 26:59It doesn't require effort.
- 27:01It's not scary.
- 27:02It's not sweaty palms.
- 27:04Well, we talked about, I mean, you know, like I told you, the alternative, what the alternative is,
- 27:12Eternal damnation.
- 27:13That's the alternative.
- 27:14That's scary.
- 27:16So when you look at someone, do you want do I want their blood on my hands?
- 27:21There have been several folks I've known and loved over the years.
- 27:24And I said, well, I'm going to go back and talk with them.
- 27:27I'm going to fly back and see him.
- 27:29There was no tomorrow.
- 27:30These lives of vapors were getting in.
- 27:32Those folks left this earth.
- 27:35Without I'm not saying, you know, we're not judging, but I'm saying evidence is important.
- 27:40And by putting it off a day or two, those folks died.
- 27:46And I feel really bad about that.
- 27:48I had a cousin I talked to several days.
- 27:52He had some heart matters.
- 27:54I was going to fly back to Washington to see him.
- 27:56We made a date and it was too late.
- 27:59At least that that part of it.
- 28:02several friends and you have friends and families that family members that have left here that you should have talked to i don't want i don't want their blood on my hands when i could have spoken to them you don't want you don't want that you want to be participating in the road for their salvation that's what you want that's what you want there's a scripture to that folks we're called watchmen on the wall
- 28:27And it actually says, if you're not warning them and you know the enemy is coming, that's Satan.
- 28:33If you don't warn them and they die in their sins, your blood will be in their hands.
- 28:41Yeah.
- 28:41Yeah, that's so true.
- 28:43That's so true.
- 28:45That's frightening.
- 28:46That's true.
- 28:46No, it is.
- 28:47It is.
- 28:47It is.
- 28:47It is.
- 28:48And there's tons of stories.
- 28:50Yeah, there's tons of stories.
- 28:52I have characters.
- 28:52I have a deathbed ministry because I have people.
- 28:57Everybody knows me.
- 28:59No, I'm focused on getting to heaven, getting them to heaven.
- 29:03And there have been so many that they wait till the end, and then they call.
- 29:09You know what?
- 29:10You know what?
- 29:10That whole formula about what about the thief on the cross?
- 29:14Yeah.
- 29:15Do you want to be in that position where you've got a matter of minutes to receive Christ as your Lord and Savior?
- 29:22Yeah.
- 29:22Or do you want to take care of this ahead of time?
- 29:25Yeah.
- 29:25You know, you don't want to be.
- 29:27There's very few stories, like you say, deathbed stories.
- 29:30My father is an excellent example.
- 29:32He received and professed Christ two weeks prior to his death.
- 29:37Mm-hmm.
- 29:38Okay.
- 29:38And only through the grace of God that happened.
- 29:40It was a very difficult man, a genius of a man.
- 29:43His name was Dr. James Collins.
- 29:45He was the number one radiologist in the entire world at one point in his career, but as hard as nails.
- 29:50However, I saw God transform this man.
- 29:53I got a problem.
- 29:55I got a problem.
- 29:55We're out of time.
- 29:56We're completely out of time.
- 29:58Can we do a second one of these?
- 30:00I'm here, man.
- 30:01I'm going to sit here.
- 30:02I'm here.
- 30:02Okay.
- 30:03All right.
- 30:04Okay.
- 30:04Folks, we'll be back.
- 30:06Look for the next segment of Keith Collins.
- 30:09The best is yet to come.
- 30:12Oh, my goodness.
- 30:12We got to live up to that.
- 30:13Okay, let's go.
