- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, we got somber tickets. We'll be here next week.
- 0:04Speaker 1: We are playing Resale Prices Right. Rich, we have all
- 0:06Speaker 1: our contestants on the line ready to go.
- 0:08Speaker 2: How do we play this game? Well, I'm going to
- 0:10Speaker 2: read some items that I've picked for each of you
- 0:12Speaker 2: on the show from things like Craigslist, Depop, Poshmark, all
- 0:17Speaker 2: the resale sites. And you will guess what the asking
- 0:20Speaker 2: price is. Our contestants will guess if you've gone too
- 0:24Speaker 2: high or too low. And that is how we will
- 0:26Speaker 2: find our winner. And we're going to start with Megan. Megan,
- 0:30Speaker 2: you're our first contestant on Resale Prizes Ride. Come on down.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Let's go. Okay, Megan, this item I have found for
- 0:41Speaker 2: John J. John J. Van Ness. John J., I know
- 0:45Speaker 2: on this show that you've been talking about looking for
- 0:47Speaker 2: a non-plastic coffee pot. Yeah. And the ones that you
- 0:51Speaker 2: found are $ 400- ish, right? $ 495, 000. Not here, pal. Not here.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I went on Craigslist in the West Valley. Check this out.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Sit your bougie self down. Let's go for a real antique.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I found this on Craigslist. It's a broken in speckled
- 1:07Speaker 2: gray granite where coffee boiler, old school made out of
- 1:12Speaker 2: enamel where campfire ready. Maybe it's got a little rust inside,
- 1:16Speaker 2: but zero plastic because even cowboys on the range knew
- 1:20Speaker 2: that microplastics might screw with their DHEA level someday like
- 1:23Speaker 2: you do. And maybe even mess with their whoop strap data.
- 1:27Speaker 2: You don't have to worry about that, John Jay. Get
- 1:29Speaker 2: the plastic out of my coffee. I got cattle to drive.
- 1:32Speaker 2: This thing looks like it survived the Dust Bowl, maybe
- 1:34Speaker 2: two world wars. At least four different men named Earl.
- 1:37Speaker 2: It is from the 40s. What are they asking for
- 1:40Speaker 2: this coffee boiler, John Jay?
- 1:43Speaker 1: If it's what I just found in my garage from
- 1:45Speaker 1: my son's Eagle Scout days. I feel that that thing
- 1:49Speaker 1: is about $ 12.
- 1:51Speaker 2: $ 12 says John Jay. Okay, Megan, is he too high
- 1:55Speaker 2: or too low?
- 1:55Speaker 1: I think he's too low.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Actual retail price, $ 65. You are going to the Showcase Showdown, Megan.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Good job, Megan. Right on. Hang on the line. We
- 2:08Speaker 2: move on to Sarah. Sarah, you're the next contestant in
- 2:11Speaker 2: the resale. Bryce is right. Come on down. Okay, this
- 2:17Speaker 2: is for Kyle. Kyle on Craig's list. Kyle, we have
- 2:20Speaker 2: solved your... Well, I need new mom friends wish list.
- 2:23Speaker 2: You know what the answer is? It's pickleball. It's basically
- 2:26Speaker 2: LinkedIn for moms. And apparently... Now you need lessons. Lessons
- 2:31Speaker 2: for pickleball, which seems really easy. A sport where somebody
- 2:34Speaker 2: just hands you a paddle, points to a wiffle ball,
- 2:36Speaker 2: and two minutes later, you're a pro. But there are lessons.
- 2:39Speaker 2: In fact, Adam will find you a screened local coach
- 2:42Speaker 2: for private one-on-one lessons so that you can get clubhouse
- 2:45Speaker 2: ready to slay that court, Kyle. Learn the game, beat
- 2:49Speaker 2: some bombs, and within a week, start saying things like, sorry,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I can't. I have to pickle. What do you think
- 2:56Speaker 2: one-hour lessons are? Of pickleball costs. Okay, so it's for
- 2:59Speaker 2: the actual lessons, not for him to find you the lesson.
- 3:02Speaker 2: For the actual lessons. Got it. One hour of pickleball lessons.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Sounds fancy. I'm going to say that is $ 45, Richard. $ 45.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Is Kyle too high or.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Too low, Sarah? Oh, I feel like it's just a
- 3:12Speaker 2: little too low. You are correct. They're asking $ 75 an hour,
- 3:22Speaker 2: which is preposterous. That's crazy. Especially on Craigslist. Good job, Sarah.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But you, too, go in the Showcase Showdown. Okay, Peyton,
- 3:31Speaker 2: no pressure, but you are playing for Abby. Abby, you're
- 3:34Speaker 2: the next and final contestant on the Resale Price is Right.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Come on down! Okay, Peyton, from Craigslist, it's a book
- 3:43Speaker 2: because you're part of a book club. Right. and used
- 3:45Speaker 2: books on Craigslist. This is great. This is actually a
- 3:48Speaker 2: fitness book, and it's from 1954. It's called... Vintage. Let's
- 3:53Speaker 2: Eat Right to Keep Fit from the Golden Age of...
- 3:57Speaker 2: When a couple of cigarettes whilst cooking was probably good
- 4:00Speaker 2: for the lungs. Crisco was basically a vegetable. And your
- 4:02Speaker 2: morning workout was shaking that mercury thermometer. The original owner
- 4:06Speaker 2: has since passed, which isn't exactly a five-star review for
- 4:09Speaker 2: the program. This is a hardcover book. The condition is fair...
- 4:13Speaker 2: How much for the 72-year-old health advice book? On Craigslist?
- 4:19Speaker 2: On Craigslist. I'm going to say that health and fitness
- 4:22Speaker 2: book goes for $ 15. Okay, Abby, is Peyton too high
- 4:26Speaker 2: or too low? That's too low. I'm sorry, you went
- 4:30Speaker 2: correct there. Let me ask it again. Oh, wow. Sorry,
- 4:37Speaker 2: you were eliminated, Abby. And now we go to the
- 4:39Speaker 2: Showcase Showdown with Sarah and Megan. Sarah and Megan, I
- 4:45Speaker 2: have asked Kyle before we even started, this is almost
- 4:47Speaker 2: like a magic trick, to pick a number between one
- 4:50Speaker 2: and ten. So whoever gets the closest without going over
- 4:56Speaker 2: wins the prize. Megan, you go first. Five. Oh, sorry.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I'm going to say eight. Wait a minute. Megan, what
- 5:04Speaker 2: did you say?
- 5:05Speaker 1: Megan says eight.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Okay. And Sarah, you said what? Five. Five is correct.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Sarah wins the showcase showdown. Congratulations.
- 5:14Speaker 1: All right, Sarah, you're going to go see Somber. Congratulations.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 5:18Speaker 1: You got it.
