Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_02]: Welcome in everybody.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: It is the Mile High Huddle Podcast.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's the aftermath episode.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm your host, Chad Jensen with me.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_02]: My fellow football priest, you know him, you love him, Zach Kelverman Zach.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: We still have a lot to go through in terms of we've slept on that huge win and additional takeaways and insights.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: You had a great article today.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about that.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_02]: But the news of the day, of course, is that Ben Powers,
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: going on IR and the soon as the Broncos will get him back is December-ish?
- 0:53[SPEAKER_02]: What's your gut reaction?
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: Sox, man.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it really is a tough loss for the Broncos.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: Powers has come around and playing really good football in the interior, at least with opening up running lanes for JK Dobbins.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I have pro football focused pulled up right now.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: I get through not the end all be all, but Powers is ranked as the 21st overall guard in the NFL out of.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: 78 qualifiers.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_01]: So he's in the upper tier in terms of his play and going from powers to Matt, parrot or Alex or Palcho is a significant downgrade.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_01]: So tough loss for.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I automatically just assumed off the cuff that Paul Chesky would be the the guy since he's listed as on granted unofficial depth chart as the backup left guards act, but
- 1:40[SPEAKER_02]: Nick's article today reminded me that Matt Pertt got some reps there, and that traditionally they've kept Paul Chesky on the right side, reminding it's not so easy to just switch sides when you're doing, you know, as a block or whether it's tackle or guard, wouldn't be a complete shock if they went with Pertt, but I still think it'll be Alpal getting that, getting that bump.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: And what sucks for the fans is now we don't get 63 is reporting eligible.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_01]: He's become kind of a fan favorite for that.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: And I have a, have faith that hold it down fairly well.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_01]: But again, it's tough going from power is considering how steady Eddie he was along the interior.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_02]: He kind of started off on rough footing the season, but really bounce back.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_02]: He's a big reason, guys.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: Why the Broncos ground game has come alive the past three weeks.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's been solid for the most part when Sean Peyton has chosen to stick to it throughout the season, but especially these last three games.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_02]: If you look at some of those big runs that
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: J.K.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_02]: Dobbins has busted off that starting side.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_02]: You can see Ben Powers often at the point of attack moving people.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a blow.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to make too much out of it in terms of driving people to the cliff of panic.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's not that.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: But Zach, one of the great blessings this team had going for it going into this season was was returning all five of its online starters, which is not easy to do in the modern NFL.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: And they did pretty well last year at stay in healthy.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_02]: There was a couple of exceptions, McGlenshee missed one or two, if memory serves with pelcheski stepping in.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: But now you're kind of shaking things up a little bit.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see how the Broncos respond.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Bam, my brother, what is going on?
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: Great to have you.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_02]: A dear member, generous super chat.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_02]: Saying the biggest win since Super Bowl 50.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think this was a franchise altering win.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: going forward, and the Broncos are currently in the midst of a 9-in-1 stretch, Kudos to Sean Payton, the coaching staff, and in particular, Vance Joseph, Go Broncos.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's kind of funny, Zach, both VJ and Vic Fangio, of course, were failed defensive-minded head coach hires of the John L.A.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: regime in the John L.A.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_02]: era.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_02]: But it's fangeo, of course, that gets a lot more shine in terms of he's got more roots.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_02]: He's been at it longer.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_02]: He's just viewed in the NFL.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_02]: Zack is more of an established thing.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: So many different teams have tried to follow his scheme in terms of trends around the NFL and yet it was Vance Joseph.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_02]: that came out on top yesterday.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Now granted, Zach, you had to have some pretty good offensive moments and execution there in the fourth quarter, but I'm proud of how BJ's defense answered the Belyus today.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_01]: And look at what happened to Vick Fansio's defense, Chad.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_01]: Same as it happened in Denver in the fourth quarter, late in the game, they kind of collapsed.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: Zach Bon had that personal foul.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: They all came apart at the seams.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: That was always the Vick Fansio special.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm happy the Brock was got the best to him.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sam, it's a good comment you made.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to think about it.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: Was this the biggest win since SB 50?
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: safely up there.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, what else could there be?
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: Let's think about it for a second.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the only thing you could really, the chiefs, the chiefs, well, two chiefs games.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_02]: First, both chiefs wins to be honest because the first one was snapping the streak.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: Getting that monkey off this franchise's back was important.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: The second one clinched the playoff
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: I would put this up there with those three.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'd have to think about it though.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: Was this more meaningful than either of those two?
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but it's damn important.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: It was a statement when.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's top three for sure.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Signature with a dissonant pain there.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Joe Anthony in the house, dude, what is going on?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm noticing what this shirt I'm wearing for some reason.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: The more I move, the more it turns me like pink.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I got to mess with my life.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: Joe, brother, thank you.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_02]: Great to have you.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for also being a member dude.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_02]: He says hello Broncos country first of all.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: I want to thank whoever gifted me a subscription.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_02]: It was probably lady D might have been M B L E X might have been wrong.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: Secondly, I just got my ticket for the Giants Broncos game.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_02]: So I will get to see some of you there.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's right, guys.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: We are now officially less than two weeks out from the MHH meeting greet.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: October 19th, that is, of course, that week seven Broncos Giants was scheduled for Giants game because we were expecting Russell Wilson to hold on to the job for longer than a couple of weeks.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: But it's going to be right outside the stadium and the tailgate, what we're expecting to start seeing people about 11 a.m.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: and then we'll be there all the way up to kick off.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to be a gas.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, stoked to see you there, Joe.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_01]: And the Broncos should be going into that game coming off a three game winning streak if they just take care of business and London on Sunday.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_01]: So I can't wait to see their Joe.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be that I think the best meet and greet yet.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: Coach Chris.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it might have been Coach Chris tonight.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure exactly when you got gift to Joe, but Coach Chris here throwing down as a gift 10 MHH memberships to folks in the chat.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_02]: Really, really cool, bro.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm glad to hear from you tonight because
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: Whoa, also a massive super chat coach Chris before I read your super chat.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_02]: If memory serves, you're on X, I could be wrong about that if I'm wrong, then let me know.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_02]: But I was searching for you today.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, the last few times you've done super chats, what we do, of course, as you know, as we tag people on Twitter and give them thanks and props and whatnot after each show.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_02]: and I've been looking for you, but I couldn't find you.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_02]: I couldn't find your account.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: So let me know in the chat or if we're connected because I know that if you do have an account, I have followed you, but I can't find you.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: So reach out to me either on X or tell me what your handle is in the chat here.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_02]: So I can make sure we're connected and I can tap you after tonight.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: For example, says, what's up guys with a generous top rope super crazy gain this weekend?
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: We need to get a
- 7:41[SPEAKER_02]: I can tolerate the PS2 pass interference call, but the moss penalties, that's got to stop.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_02]: But I do understand that's what you get for having an Uber aggressive defense.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: Love you guys, we love you too big dog.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: And it's also what you get when you're not named Pat Sertan, right?
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: You get not the penalties, but the targeting of Riley Moss.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_02]: You guys got to remember that I don't know what the stats are today, but before yesterday's game, or let's just say pre week five,
- 8:08[SPEAKER_02]: Riley Moss entered that game as the most targeted cornerback on top one or two targeted cornerbacks in the whole league why because when the other side of the field is the raining defensive player the year opponents are going to go away from that as a rule not to say they're not going to ever throw it certain we saw him doing that yesterday with AJ Brown, but he gets a lot of business Zach and yes, I agree with the premise that he's got to clean that up the penalties and the grabbing is but.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you right now, if you think it's bad at times with Moss, if he was not the guy there, it would be an absolute bloodbath, just think back to the four games he was out late last year.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, James Winston putting up however many points that can over 500 yards of offense.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: Also, what you get when a quarterback like Moss is out there as playing starter snaps chat, he's that type of hit in your hit pocket, very physical and stays with you.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_01]: You get the penalty sometimes.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: I agree it's a problem Chris.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: They have to cut that down, but there's a lot I like about Riley Moss.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_01]: A lot more like about him than not so like, but thank you for that big super.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_02]: Didn't you bring him up in your 10 things you learned?
- 9:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, set the same thing.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, so guys, go read that article after the show, Zach's new regular column 10 things we learned about the Broncos from this particular week trust.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's a worthy read.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_02]: So thank you again, Chris, dude, much love and respect, Big Dog.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: A Shilog, great to see a dear member of Superstar, crucial, crucial member of the community, saying Sutton is now eight in receiving yards all the time for the Broncos, ring a favor.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting close to ring a fam.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think I think God forbid Zack.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say his career ended tomorrow.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's not me trying to predict anything.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm touching wood even as I say that, but like let's say something happened.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: He stopped playing right now with what he's done.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_02]: Eightth all time.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: In terms of yardage, he became the third fastest receiver in Broncos history to reach 400 receptions.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: The only guys who got their faster ahead of him are Demarius Thomas in the 70s and Rod Smith in the 90s in terms of the number of games it took.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: So he's up there, would he be a ring of favor or is there still more work to be done?
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I really like Portland.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's gotten a bad rap during his time with the Broncos with the bad quarterbacking and the coaching, but can you be in the ring of fame shed without winning a playoff game?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: The guys that you mentioned both have at least playoff wins and Sutton first talents it as he is.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know that he's there quite yet in my opinion.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: Fortunately, he's still got a lot of playing left to be done.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_02]: And just signed him to a four-year extension.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he's on a ring.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_02]: Let me put it this way, shallow.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's on a ring of fame, path.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_02]: And just the last and Sean Peyton arrived, like Sean Peyton loves him.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just 2023 alone, that was pre-bo.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, his yardage wasn't there.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, that passing offense was just for whatever reason, frustratingly limited with us.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_02]: But he still got over 700 yards in a career high, 10 touchdowns.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_02]: Then you get Bonax.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's over a thousand for the second time his career.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: He's on pace now for what would be career numbers in receptions in yards.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he's on the right path, but they're still work to be done show.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Broncos get in the playoffs as they should this season in Portland, sudden continues to ascend and I think he's on closer to that path and where he is right now.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, guys, we're doing the raffle tonight for the jersey for September.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to be doing that here in just a few more moments.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Coach Chris, just emailed you.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, buddy.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_02]: George Fox on Facebook.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: What a great win.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: Now we need Jackson
- 11:53[SPEAKER_02]: Indeed right now it's still zeroes if you know five six minutes into the game.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see how it shakes out, but yeah, go Jaguars most definitely Colby as he has been known the triple C because on Facebook he goes by Colby C Colier great to have you dude.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for the super.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for being a member.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_02]: He says moss is good Smith is great just shouldn't let him get behind him talking about that big chunk play yesterday's act
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about great.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I think AJ Brown is a great receiver.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's a Vontez missed a great compliment, but Moss will tell you himself he shouldn't have been playing that press up on the line of scrimmage on a third and 17 and it's a mistake that's correctable though.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Otherwise, I think he fixed it in the second half.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: He had a better game as it went along.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what's funny is yesterday I was like he should have bumped him because you know still the motions run on highs you guys know it's pretty amped yesterday, but as the dust settled and I worked out my hormones overnight and you know I said that I slept on it so to speak you know the whatever I'm reading some of the articles from the dudes today I'm like oh wait a minute that's the mistake he made as he bumped he didn't allow space to.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_02]: have that kind of running start.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_02]: So Smith just was able to get off his press and blow right by him, which is why he had so much separation on that deep ball.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_02]: So thankfully though, moss caught him, et cetera, it's still ended up unfortunately in a scoring drive.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm telling you guys, moss is a very good player
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's got to work on a little bit on his situational awareness.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_02]: And by that, I mostly mean, hey, man, you got to kind of know the situations where you can be a little bit more grabby and when you can't.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_02]: And even Sir Tan this year's act for what it's worth.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_02]: There's not me slamming Sir Tan for whatever reason.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_02]: I've gotten criticism that I've been too hard on Pastor Tan, which I don't.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_02]: think so, but even him this year's act, he's been penalized a lot for P.I.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: and defensive holding relative to his standard, you know, operation.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: I don't criticize Broncos country too much, but I'm going to lightly criticize you all right now.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think Broncos fans have been spoiled a little bit by the tremendous cornerback play they've gotten over the last 20 years between champ Bayley, PS2, Chris Harris, junior, keep to leave all of that, listen, cornerback is get burned.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: They give up completions, they get penalized, especially like Chad was saying when you play opposite the defensive player of the year.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: In my opinion, there's a lot more to like about rally than not.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Zeus.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_02]: We got the first face etched on the MHH Superstar Mount Rushmore in the house with this always.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Always a pleasure to have you still.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: Hope you're doing well.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, dude, high all he says, go, jags.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see it.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: Are the chiefs of real deal.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: I was talking to a colleague today who covers the chiefs.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_02]: And he said, you know what?
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think what we're seeing.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_02]: This is a guy that's been even longer than I have.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I think we're seeing the the chargers kind of fall off.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: And this is going to be the race for the AFC West is going to come down to the Broncos and the chiefs.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, this year, Zach, the games between those two don't really start to much later in the year.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's is week 11.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: Let me double check that the first.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_02]: the first head-to-head Broncos chiefs, let me confirm yet.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: So week 11, that one is at home.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: And then of course, just a few short weeks later on Christmas, you got Arrowheads deck.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then the last game of the season, of course, is your rematch with the Chargers at home.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos got to take care of their own business.
- 15:26[SPEAKER_01]: They haven't beaten the Chargers in how long now.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_01]: He already lost to him this season.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just start stacking wins before we talk about Kansas City.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt about it.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: Zeus.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: Love you, buddy.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, guys.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: The time has come.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: What are we going to do here?
- 15:41[SPEAKER_02]: We're doing the Jersey raffle.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_02]: If you're new and a lot of you are new that have joined us since the off season.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: What we do is we take the top finishers on super chat.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's a cumulative thing, meaning the people who donated the most support of the most.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: their names in the given month, their names go in kind of the digital hat that you're about to see.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_02]: And we do a random drawing.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_02]: And the winner gets a jersey of their choosing, a Broncos jersey of their choosing.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll throw, you're ready, you're ready, Mr. producer.
- 16:15[SPEAKER_02]: We'll throw this on.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he's talking me.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 16:21[SPEAKER_02]: Got it.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: Now.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: Let me make sure okay I see so there's 12 included in this because some guys were some people were tied all right so we wanted to include everybody who is in it at the end so before we actually start doing the reverse order thing here's how it finished in September the lady d finished number one
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela Parker finished number two, Omar, and you'll see that their placement, they get slight benefit in terms of the more tickets in the hat.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let's put it that way, right?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: Omar at number three, Nage at number four, DW, Dale at five, sandbam, who's in the house tonight at six,
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: by the way, Coach Chris eight.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Cody Dubb, 10, Jonathan Shelton at 11 and Chris Hernandez, the legend himself at 12.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_02]: So, in reverse order, let's see who's out first.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see who's out first.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: Totally random.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Here we go.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: Cody Dubb, no dice this time, buddy.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: Love you.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Jonathan Shelton is out.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Coach Chris is out, love you, Chris.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: Lady D number one, whoa, see this is the random nature.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: Be right out at eight.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: D. Doves out.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Bams.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, Sam.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela at five.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_02]: Rock.
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: Omar's out.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_02]: There's two more options.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, one more.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_02]: Nage.
- 17:56[SPEAKER_02]: which means the winner of the jersey this month of September is none other than Chris Hernandez.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not sure if he is in the chat tonight, but if not, I know how to get a hold of this man.
- 18:10[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll make sure he knows that he won the jersey.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: He'll be he'll be stoked.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: And Chris is but all of you have been so generous to MHH and even last night.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was going
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: uh... leading the way as they are want to do so uh... Chris had a one in one hundred chance and yet he won that's what i like about the randomness of it maybe there's other ways to do it i don't know but i like the randomness so that congratulations to everybody for being in the final i would love you we appreciate you but big ups to to Chris and then we'll grab mccala here yeah just as Chris likes to say hit the little thumbs up for Chris and the chats
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: Michaela my dear fan can't wait to see it in a couple weeks.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna be fun.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: She says I'm sad about powers It hurts can't wait until the meet and greet get to meet up with my friend Diana love your lady Diana.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's gonna be fun the very first official meet up That you know, we've hung out with Michaela she's been a part of the tradition now for several years at the meet and greet But this will be the first time Diana's able to make the trip from where she lives.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: So it'll be fun to hang out, but yeah
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: the powers thing for the most part is that the Broncos sense football actually started by football in the regular season.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: They've kind of avoided the key guys going out.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not counting drag green lock as he's been that sense basically he's signed with the Broncos.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: Powers is the first real starter starter going out since the season started my missing night.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think so.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's the number one guy.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: But just a few days prior Zach Lucas Kroll the tight end now granted third guy on the depth chart fourth guy.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: He also want to shorter my hour.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_01]: Plus they lost true Sanders, Michael Burton's to injury as well, but like he said, none of them are starters.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: This was the biggest loss so far, Michaela.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you so much for your generosity as always.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll have to see how they pivot with Matt Paret or Palcho at guard.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: Coach Chris again, brother, jumpin' in.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, pal, with the dude, the LeBowski.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: In his profile pic which just puts you even nearer and dearer to my heart because that's like my favorite movie of all time do I mean that and Star Wars, you know, the child in me Star Wars and I love the Lord of the Rings and all that but as far as just individual movie That's my favorite movie
- 20:34[SPEAKER_02]: I would show you my man of the year time mirror from LeBouse get it's hanging up right now.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to get up or else I'd show it to you.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like the movie did when you when you stand square in the mirror, it makes it look like you're the guy on the cover of time.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's awesome.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, coach, Chris, there are three players that need to get more involved, ingram barren and Brian.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sold on Trent Scherfield.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: Also, what's going on with Mims?
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: He should have caught that low ball just seems a bit discouraged.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_02]: I've kind of given up on Zach the hope that Marvin Mims will become anything more than a explosive inconsistent but explosive gadget player.
- 21:15[SPEAKER_02]: But in
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: Turns out during the game, you know, Evan Ingraham finished the first half with one catch minus three yards, right?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: He's pissed.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: He comes off the field.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Peyton doesn't like his body language, so he gets on him.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_02]: And they end up getting a little bit of a heated exchange on the sideline.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: But it ends up kind of fueling what came next and that's why when you saw Evan Ingraham catch that little tight end screen that went for the touchdown.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_02]: He broke two tackles.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: I'm here.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: So, they're of course cool, it's all good, but you thought it's here for Coach Chris.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_01]: uh... it's tough to get everyone involved coach Chris thank you for the super uh... a lot of mouths to feed on the offense finally they're getting the joker involved in anger um... uh... they still like adam trout man though he played i think one more snap in anger did but you'll see anger as it gets healthier starts getting more involved hopefully bear in his making plays in the dim roll net secondary and he'll continue to evolve as well and pat brion is just stuck behind tri-franclin court and sudden only one ball to go around right now and fortan unfortunately for brion it's going to court
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: Marvin Mims like Chad talked about he's a gadget player right now.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: He's not the only one dropping passes that's on the receivers.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's also one bonus for not putting the ball in a more perfect spot.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_02]: Put Pat Bryant.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I think his role will continue to grow as the season marches on and barons.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's getting his opportunities, man, and when he has been tapped, he's done well yesterday had a nice PBU on third down late in the game, clutch moment.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: Eclipse Stormborn, dude!
- 22:56[SPEAKER_02]: On OG checking in, a bona fide MHH UN OG, and of course, an exemplar of our hashtag state of being, it clips our friend Troy jump in and say happy Monday, priests and Broncos family.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: It was super quiet in, he's from the city of brotherly love lives there.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_02]: In the city last night, Benito and Cooper are wreaking havoc, peace and love from Philly MHH UN.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, it's so
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: I bet that was just as gratifying as it gets to have that bragging rights in Philly.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Good for you, Big Dog.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, enjoy the win, enjoy the week of clips for sure.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Appreciate your, uh, the super.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, let's, let's see, Bonito and Cooper continue wreaking havoc, right?
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: Let's, let's see that.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Bonito, what's yet seven and a half sacks already, Zach?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like,
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: And even Cooper, he's, both of them are off to really good starts and Bonito's being asserted as the front runner for D-poi possibly will see, but a lot of season left to be played.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_02]: Sean Bryant, Waldric, on Facebook, thank you for being with us.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate the support, Big Dog.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: Sean says, a big win.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: I was fortunate to watch it live and take that all in.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_02]: Had me sweating in the fourth very winnable next three games to get us two six and two.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, indeed, how cool of an experience that must have been for you.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: Early start remember guys.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: So if you're getting up we'll have a how to watch article on this later in the week, but it's a 7 30 AM mountain time start for Broncos Jets.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_02]: So just remember that.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: So that's week six week seven.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's the meet and greet.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's the giants in Denver.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_02]: Then it's the Cowboys week eight in Denver.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: That'll be a tough matchup.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_02]: Then it's on the road week nine to take on the Texans hard to make it like what are the Texans at this point are they the inept team of the first few weeks or they the team that's kind of bounce back the last two and then Zach week 10 at home against the Raiders so that stretch there I see it as a win against the jets that's foreign to win against the giants.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_02]: five and two I think you can beat the Cowboys six and two you know you could be eight and two by the time you get to Kansas City like it's a possibility that's not me guaranteeing it's that but could be.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah as long as the Broncos take care of business against teams they should beat and they should beat DJets they should beat the giants we'll see how it goes with the Texans and the Cowboys but yeah they could have a very positive record in just a few weeks.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_02]: And the Broncos, especially in the modern era, have a phenomenal record against the cowboy as especially in Denver.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: Eric Flynn, brother, great to see you on YouTube.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_02]: My dog, appreciate you.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: Become a member, join us as a member and tomorrow morning, well, not morning, tomorrow at lunchtime, noon, mountain, 2 p.m.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: Eastern, you'll get the hot takes that hold water from my partner here, Zach, Kelverman's corner for members only on YouTube.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: Eric, brother, thank you.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Eric.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_01]: Hope to see you there.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_02]: George Fox again jumping into say, the only thing that our defense needs to do better is take the ball away a little more.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: We need to understand that they're playing the game also, Broncos for life, M.H.A.A.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: for life.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, dude, they had at least one really good opportunity yesterday's act that Talonola, who fungi jumps up on the
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, screws up their screen play and it's like right there, but it falls you just pick six going away if he falls that one in so and Brandon Jones, he may have had a chance at one on that last possession, but yeah that that's the one thing missing Zach from the equation is taking the ball away.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_02]: and you could argue, you know, picnets in terms of some of the coverage lapses that we've seen.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: Alex single to, yeah, they're doing everything else at an elite level, except for taking the ball away George.
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: But as long as they keep pressuring and sacking the quarterback at the rate they are, I'm a happy camper.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, George, happy belated birthday to you big dog.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: Hope it was a great one.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: Hope it was awesome.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let me see here.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: Well, grab Cody and then I want to miss to produce or I want to grab a couple.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: Whoops.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: Do what you're going to do.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: I was just going to say I want to grab a few from members as well.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_02]: Like Joe jumping in to say, can you explain how the meat and Greek goes just what info what parking lot can we bring food for everyone to share those kind of things.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: This will be my first meeting.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, dude.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: So it's in watt d.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_02]: And when we're in the week of, well, I'll have a flyer out that'll be post all over the MHH socials here very soon.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: But we, the tailgate opens at 10 a.m.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: which is when we'll be there to set up.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, it takes us a little time.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_02]: So by about 11, we're ready to start hosting people and we'll have food there and some drinks.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: People who want to bring food to share absolutely you can.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, we basically just hang out.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: We tell gate from 11 to 2ish kickoff, then we all kind of pack it in and head for the stadium.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: So that's pretty much it.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Parking lot is lot D, lot D, 11 a.m.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: October 19th.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: And you just look for the big blue tent that says, my high huddle hashtag state of being all that stuff.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like we're not hard to find, especially if you know it's lot D. Yeah, can't wait to see you there, Joe.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_02]: Cody, duh, my brother.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: Pardon me.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_02]: Great to see you.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for all your support, man.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: Still a top 10 in the super chat in September, dude.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: Love you.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_02]: He says, the NFL world would hate to see back to back Broncos defensive players of the year.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see it.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Go beneath, oh, go.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I have a real hard time believing that it's going to happen.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: Like, even if he leads the league in Sax and even if he breaks the Vaughn Miller record
- 29:00[SPEAKER_02]: that it's not so much that the NFL would hate to see it.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: That's not what I'm saying.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's just that when you get to the people who decide in the voters for these type of things are going to unless it's just like slam dunk.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_02]: There's no question like the separation between him and any and all other candidates is like.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_02]: plane is day, they're going to go Denver, twice in a row.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_02]: But then again, Zach, the Broncos have had some excellent defenses over the years.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_02]: They went literally half a century between deep boys.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it was Randy Grattishar, was at 77 or 78, whatever, all the way until Pat Sertan.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: Well, if he's the best defensive player of the year, then he's the best defensive player of the year Cody.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: So I see what you're saying, but we need to at least start talking about him as the best past rusher or at least it's top three past rusher in the NFL up there with the eight and Hutchinson's in the miles, Garrett's of the world.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_01]: Eric answer in the bell.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: Eric Flynn become an member.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's in the inner sanctum of MHH now.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, thank you for the support, Eric.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: Love you, bud.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: David, which guard, David Yunkin that is, also dear members in all the chats when we're doing the members only streams, he says, which guard will be good to take power spots.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know for sure on this, Zach, I mean, I think the most obvious choice once again is Alex Paltchewski, but Nick Kendall, guys go read his article, he mentioned
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: They like Alex Forsyth.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: We can't rule him out as a possibility either.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Of those three, I'm more comfortable with Palcho.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how Sean Peyton feels.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: His opinion obviously means the most, but Palcho to me was the most consistent when called upon.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: Now, remember, this was supposed to be Nick Gargulo right before he got hurt like he was supposed to be the guy that would be stepping into this.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_02]: This gap so to speak, but he injured his ACL, he'd done for the year.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_02]: This would Nick wrote on per let me see if I've been utilized.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: That it a death, focus it a the okay here it is after Gargulo went down.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that was, uh, I think it was the Cardinals preseason game.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: It was Pert who earned the second team left guard snaps accumulating 57 snaps at left guard over the past two preseason campaigns for the Broncos.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_02]: Perhaps Pert could get the nod to keep Paltcheski on the right side of the line flipping an offensive lineman from one side to the other is often better in theory than
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and as Chris is pointing out, there's other options as well.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: The Brock is compared to you, but right now it does seem like it's going to be paired or Palocia.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see how that shakes out as a week materialist.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I got to remind myself real quick here.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm on the team website anyway, so I got to remind myself, who's on this practice squad, because that could factor in one second.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_02]: Throck Morton's practice squad, I want to say,
- 32:04[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, that's I are, well, here we go.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Throck Morton is also an option.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: Good call on that coach Chris.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_02]: And if he's going on IR, it opens up a spot anyway.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_02]: Would not shock me if it work, Calvin, Throck Morton and you keep out Alex Paul Chesky is that six offensive lineman for jumbo packages and the primary backup to Mike McGlenshee and Matt Pert as the primary backup to Garrett Bulls.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing that's scary, though, is they have games against the Jets and Giants coming up, you know, uh, they equine in Williams' and the Dexter Lawrence's of the world.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_01]: Those are imposing figures, and the Broncos are going to have to scheme around power's abscess.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, the Broncos signed a wide receiver today, Zach, by the way, tell everybody what went down in the roster.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure how to pronounce his first name, but I'm pretty sure his last name is Tore.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: He had two seasons with the Packers coming into the NFL as a 2022 7th round pick.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_01]: He spent last season on the Bears practice squad.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_01]: He only has a few catches in the NFL seems like a lower end of the the roster type of guy.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_01]: He was added to the practice squad chat.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: Not totally sure why.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think the Brokers are good on receiver, but obviously they like something with a Samari Tore.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_02]: So tough break for the rookie running back for the chargers, Omerian Hampton, Zach with an ankle.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's going to miss at least the next four weeks.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: So they lost Najai Harris now, Omerian Hampton.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: They're, they're wishing they would have taken JK Dobbins a little bit more seriously.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think right about now.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, injury suck man, they had a really imposing one-two punch and it seems like their hype is crashing back down to earth pretty fast, but it works out for the brakas.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_02]: Um, he's still the fungus among us, nice talk.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, let me see here.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the clips is a member dude, that's so awesome to see.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's not quite, I can see it when I get into YouTube analytics who the members are, but it makes it hard to search.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_02]: So it's really, really appreciate your body being a becoming a member.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_02]: Todd says speaking of members, I would love to see Denver playing at home.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: My last time there was not so enjoyable for me and had nothing to do with the game I'm sorry to hear that buddy.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: Chris says I wish I was able to join the meet and greet I'll be in Vietnam, drink a cocktail and eat a broth for me.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: You got it brother.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_02]: We absolutely will.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_02]: And the same goes for Pearl and all those who can't make it, which she says I wish I could come but I can't leave my husband alone darn.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: We'll find a way one of these days Pearl to make it up to you somehow some way because we'd love to meet you Kirk, shout out north of the 49th Parallel, Broncos country, not a geographic location, just a state of being checking in from Toronto, Canada, I love it dude, awesome, pro 16, says it's not looking so good for the jags, Chiefs just went up seven nothing and here comes Trevor Lawrence and company will see if they can even the scales, okay, Zach.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: Todd wants to know, do the jets still have a professional football team, Ella will.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: What's your read?
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's still early in this week.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: And I mean, there's still a lot to really sift through implications.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: Why is from yesterday, but how are you feeling about this jets match up?
- 35:24[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they're hapless.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: I feel like they're just a clown show.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_01]: They're a win-list right now, Chad.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: The cowboys aren't necessarily a great team this season, yet they absolutely have their way with the GTS today.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_01]: Fields their quarterback is an excellent runner in dynamic athlete, but he is one of the worst peer passers I've ever seen by a quarterback at the NFL level.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_01]: Still very happy the Broncos passed on him.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: This is a team the Broncos should beat.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's an inferior opponent, and they should have no problem dominating them.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_01]: I akin this to the Bangle's matchup chat.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to just squeak by the jets.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm not.
- 35:57[SPEAKER_01]: I want to dominate the jets from the first quarter to the final whistle.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, he was a little bit hard to handle fields last year when he was being coached by the Steelers staff there.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: But he made a few plays, I'll give it to him like they kept him pretty limited in terms of the downfield stuff, but when they dialed it up, he hit his throws, that was the Steelers, the Jets, I mean Aaron Glenn and all that stuff, I wish him the best, but they just can't get out of their own ways, I don't know what it is about that club and I think if you really boil it down something Sean Peyton has talked about since become in the head coach, one of the big reasons he wanted to come to Denver was
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: quality of the ownership.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's not so much about who has the deepest pockets, but just, you know, the quality of ownership are they bought in, are they willing to do it.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: It takes to give you the tools and the support to win, et cetera.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: And that's been a struggle for the jets for many, many moons.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's that for sure.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_01]: What he Johnson's a nightmare to work for.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: Based on what we've, what's come out about them.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: But it's also what Vic fans you talked about when he got fired by the Broncos.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: He goes, you need to quarterback in the NFL.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's how you win.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_01]: You have a quarterback.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: And what the jets have tried to do is import these free agent franchise quarterbacks with Rogers and now fields.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_01]: You got to draft one.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_01]: You got to hit on one.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_01]: You got to develop one properly.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's how you become a winner.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: But jets haven't been able to do that.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: No doubt taught.
- 37:26[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, you did you shoot me the email because let me see.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have an email from you.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_02]: My brother, but I do need that email so we can get things rolling for you.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: string guy Roger agrees with Zach it says we saw the drop off last season.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: This is kind of a back to a previous topic, but I want to grab some member comments and questions.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_02]: We saw drop off last season when Moss was out, Moss is doing just fine.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: So the point being Zach is you were saying, you know, that four weeks he was gone, the Broncos defense regressed significantly, especially
- 38:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'd rather have Riley Moss than Levi Wallace, 10 out of 10 times.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be a really good corner back.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_01]: Just let's go through the growing pains patiently.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: Also, Sue, thank you for being a member.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Both of you, you got to email me so that I can get your jersey rolling.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_02]: So I need to know what jersey?
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: Size, player, color.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_02]: And make sure it's available.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_02]: So go to the Denver Broncos team website, just go to the website, click on the fan shop, make sure it's available.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_02]: Then shoot me an email, tell me what it is, including the size with your shipping address, and we'll get it coming your way.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, and Lady D so awesome and McKayla for gifting their jerseys yesterday.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's just their best human beings.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: George, thanks for the birthday wishes.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: This makes my 65th year, rooting for our team.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: been there from game one to now, things again.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, that's awesome, George.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_02]: Congratulations and happy birthday.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: Happy belated.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'd sing to you, but we get dinged, believe it or not, on YouTube for singing a copyright copywritten song, even a live rendition.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: Believe it or not.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: So happy birthday to you, big dog.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_01]: Very happy birthday, George.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for spending it on the
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: My high salute, right back at you, buddy.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_02]: Great win yesterday against my home count, Philly team, then powers injury will hurt us a bit.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_02]: But I would start Matt Pert on the inside.
- 39:38[SPEAKER_02]: Paltchewski might be
- 39:41[SPEAKER_02]: played at right tackle, depending on the Maglinti injury.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: That, I'm thank you for bringing up that angle.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't mentioned that.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_02]: Well, let's not forget Zack, part of kind of complicates this decision for the Broncos is Maglinti went out for a few plays yesterday with a knee.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was a knee.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: Either way, he ended up coming back in and finishing the game, but we don't know
- 40:02[SPEAKER_02]: other than Sean Peyton post game who you know you didn't say anything about it.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't hear from Peyton today.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: We probably won't hear from him till Wednesday.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm guessing because of all the travel they did last night at the jet lag and all that stuff.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: So they got, I mean you couldn't if something happened to McGlinchie.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say Zach you decided to play Paltchewski at left guard in place of powers.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: Something happens to McGlinchie or he couldn't go or whatever.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: Then you make a
- 40:33[SPEAKER_01]: If the McGlinchies in injury is severe enough to keep them out on Sunday, then yeah, that would go into the calculation for it.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's matter of opinion, I think, Lee Roy, you like parrot on the inside, more pal showed to me has been more demonstrable and consistent on when he's given the opportunity.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: But like Sean Pay might want a bigger road grading type against the jets front and that could be a Matt parrot.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: really disappointed to hear about the Mark Sanchez development.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's only tangentially related to the Broncos.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: Did you have a cup of coffee in Denver?
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm trying to remember Mark Sanchez, but nevertheless, we're at a weird ass story that I don't want to get into, because I don't want to talk about the things that are mentioned here and get the video muted by YouTube and Facebook,
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: Very strange and highly disappointing behavior, unfortunately.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, co-signate, he fumbled his broadcasting career away.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: Ron, I've won three jerseys, so I'm excited for anyone that has not won a jersey, well-signed and super sad.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's cool, love that dude, I love that.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, where we at, we're at 41 minutes.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, guys, consider this kind of the two-minute warning.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_02]: If you have any burning topics, questions, supers, get them in the chat, we'll get to them before we dip on out.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Todd says the chargers having two offensive tackles out, hurts their chances to win games, until they get them both back.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they're they're suffering some significant personnel depletions early this season, but they have an excellent quarterback and an excellent head coach, and those typically are what you would need if you're going to be able to overcome such things.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: And a good defense and this that's shenai they have over the Broncos right now, this winning streak.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I saw Matt Moore come in for Patrick Mahomes and beat the Broncos.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think that was Matt Moore the back of quarterback.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_01]: Or was it Chad Henny one of the two.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was Matt Moore.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I've seen it all.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was Matt Moore.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the one chance they got they're like, this is it.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: We can finally get the chiefs.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: Nope.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, anything can happen, Todd.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_01]: So you're right, it hurts through chances, but until there's zeroes on that clock and the Broncos are on the right side of the score sheet, I'm not gonna believe anything.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos play on my birthday, Ronc says October 12th, all right, dude.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm putting it in my calendar right now.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: But right now, I'm supposed to go wrong, B-Day, so that you can get some special shots from MHH, not just in the gut reaction, but on socials.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_02]: So thanks for letting us know, buddy.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Cody jumping in again, bro.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, thank you, Cody.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: Benito, seven sacks already.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_02]: I want to see him go 22 and a half plus.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: Put TJ watt down a peg.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's a crazy number, but damn.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_02]: The motor on Benito never stops.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: I got to tell you guys, I have been just pleasantly, not surprised.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: That's not the right word gratified that all the concerns about him potentially
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: especially in the wake of getting that monster extension.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_01]: He's put that stuff to bed that he might be and I said this last night the most underpaid $120 million player in NFL history and did you guys see him hit the fly Eagles fly cell Eve when he sat jail and hurts down to touchdowns go did yeah so let's see official leaders
- 44:07[SPEAKER_02]: The official most sacks all time is a number 22 and a half as he mentions that shared by TJ Watt, which was achieved in 2021, 20 years after the record was initially set by Michael Strayhand, and let's face it, Brett Farve, kind of helped him get that one a little bit laid down for him on a sacks, so he could get that.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: Then you've got 22 by three guys, Jared Allen,
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Chris Dolman had 21, Reggie White 21, Aaron Donald 20 and a half, Lawrence Taylor 20 and a half, JJ White had 20 and a half twice.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: Derek Thomas had 20, DeMarcus Ware had 20, Shaq Barrett, 19 and a half, then you know, you keep going down.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: You finally get to Von Miller, 18 and a half, which is good for basically tied for 25th, all time for single season, but it's number one in Broncos history.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_01]: Benito has a good shot to get approaching 20 stocks for so which is crazy to think about because people were talking about him when he was drafted Chad as a limited player then when he got his big contracts was he a flash in the pan.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: No, he is legitimate.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: He is the new Von Miller and the Broncos are so lucky to have him, especially had his current contract.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: So if he continues at the pace he is on, which will be exceedingly difficult to do.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's on pace, Zach, thanks to that extra game, right?
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: The 17th game.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_02]: He's on pace for 23.8, so he's on pace for 24 sacks, which would break the record.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if I'll get it, but I'll be looking to approach that number, which is insane to think about.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: That's a lot of sacks.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: Rodney, real quick, and then we're gonna get some messages for you.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_02]: How many sacks do you guys think we'll get in the next game?
- 46:00[SPEAKER_02]: Man, it could be a blood bath, literally for Justin Fields, I'm going to say five.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to say five, but it could be much more than that actually, you know, could be seven.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is a game where the Broncos finally break that turnover.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_01]: lack of production.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about earlier chat.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think field is going to turn the ball over.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: They'll try to stop brief all and they have no other receivers except for Garrett Wilson.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I look for the broccoli to make fields life a living hell and wanted.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Chris, I don't see the email.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: You said you emailed me.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see it.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's in my spam.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: I doubt it.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_02]: But oh, maybe you're talking about like a previous email.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: I'll look it up.
- 46:49[SPEAKER_02]: All right, guys, we got a few messages for you.

- 48:13[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I now or I know it's an intangible, but winning close games and coming from behind can mean a lot to a team, but I'm, I'm a judge for life Broncos for life.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, they flipped the script.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_02]: We've had a couple of articles yesterday and today's act just talking about how all the issues that seem to plague them this season.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_02]: And for a lot of last year too, in terms of fourth quarter meltdowns and
- 48:34[SPEAKER_02]: or just not quite doing enough in the fourth quarter what have you to close things out in tight games.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: All those things, it's like they finally maybe learned from it and rose to the occasion of flip the script last week and it's definitely a marker.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's a sign that they've maybe kind of learned.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_02]: Here's how we need to approach things when the chips are down.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: But even Bonyx, Zack, you ask Bonyx how they were able to start getting such momentum on offense, late in the fourth quarter after the game used like, I don't know actually, we're executing.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: You couldn't really put his finger on it.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: So it goes back to this intangible aspect of things.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it also shows the Broncos that they're capable of taking down the team at the NFL mountaintop.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: And that was the Eagles.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: And that was on the road.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_01]: And that was in an uncomfortable time slot, 1 p.m.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: Eastern.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_01]: So the Broncos show themselves.
- 49:22[SPEAKER_01]: They can do anything.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_01]: If they can beat the Eagles, they can beat any team in the NFL.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: And you can't discount the confidence they can get from that.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_02]: Todd.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: Email Mile High Huddle at gmail.com.

- 49:52[SPEAKER_02]: Todd, you just email me, but go to, let's put it this way, let's not make it too tough on you.

- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll make sure it's available.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_02]: And if it's not, I'll get back to you and let you know.
