- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I was fully okay with being ship at carpentry because
- 0:05Speaker 2: I knew I was going to get taught to do it.
- 0:07Speaker 2: So it's like, why is someone fully not okay with
- 0:10Speaker 2: being ship at the thing they want to do when
- 0:12Speaker 2: they know they need time to learn. The Relatables podcast
- 0:26Speaker 2: is hosted by myself, Jake Craig aka Daddy, and my
- 0:30Speaker 2: partner in crime, Addie Clark aka Mummy.
- 0:33Speaker 1: That's it, and you guys are the baddies. I don't
- 0:35Speaker 1: know if I like calling you daddy now that I'm
- 0:38Speaker 1: saying it a lot, but I really like it. I
- 0:42Speaker 1: got the short end of this.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I really like it, guys. Last week we pranked our
- 0:50Speaker 2: friend Harry Quail, the guy who I just make these hats,
- 0:53Speaker 2: sitting right next to us, actually right between us, and
- 0:56Speaker 2: we got him good.
- 0:57Speaker 1: He got him a good wine.
- 0:59Speaker 2: He was it at the end in the game, make
- 1:01Speaker 2: them say, and we said, to win a hat, send
- 1:03Speaker 2: in your details. We've got a fair few in there already.
- 1:06Speaker 2: The first person we are going to give a hat
- 1:09Speaker 2: to we are not going to play make them say,
- 1:11Speaker 2: we give them hat because they're the first. It is
- 1:13Speaker 2: a guy named Matt let's ringing. Hello.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Hello, is that Matt it is?
- 1:20Speaker 2: How's it going? And good?
- 1:22Speaker 1: Thanks? It's Addie for the Relatables podcast. I'm joined with
- 1:25Speaker 1: Jake Matt. Matt, It's Jake and Oddy.
- 1:30Speaker 2: From the Relatables podcast. You want a hat?
- 1:32Speaker 1: You want a hat?
- 1:32Speaker 2: Mate?
- 1:35Speaker 1: The hell is calling me?
- 1:40Speaker 2: All right, you're the first ever to win a hat.
- 1:43Speaker 2: We're not going to play make them say with you? Yeah,
- 1:45Speaker 2: what color would you like? What colors we've got pink and.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Blue, blue, got my name all over it?
- 1:52Speaker 2: Easy pa so much.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Thank you. It does say daddy on the I'm sure
- 2:00Speaker 1: you all like that.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Thank you so much.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I love the podcast.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Thank you very much. Have you got any any messages
- 2:05Speaker 2: that you want to get out there? We want to
- 2:06Speaker 2: give everyone someone a platform to give a message, not
- 2:11Speaker 2: really love.
- 2:15Speaker 1: That's good, that's good that we put on the spot. Anyway,
- 2:18Speaker 1: We appreciate you listening, and we've got your address with
- 2:20Speaker 1: send you the hat. So what a positive way to
- 2:26Speaker 1: start the episode. He was, he was, he was like,
- 2:31Speaker 1: who is this? You were like, is this mad?
- 2:34Speaker 2: He guys? Yeah, who's this? Who is this? How funny?
- 2:40Speaker 1: But yeah, next time, we don't know if they're going
- 2:42Speaker 1: to be safe or not. Yeah, we thought it would
- 2:47Speaker 1: be nice.
- 2:47Speaker 2: We who knows what's going to happen next time. I
- 2:57Speaker 2: wanted to start the actual episode off today with I
- 3:01Speaker 2: saor a thing the other day that explained you and myself,
- 3:06Speaker 2: I think very well, really, all right, so we all
- 3:08Speaker 2: know what fomo is.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Fear of missing out.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Fear of missing out. Now, I mean I don't get
- 3:14Speaker 2: it at all. You barely get it. No anymore.
- 3:16Speaker 1: You you still get a little bit. When I was
- 3:18Speaker 1: dipping out of the party.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Scene, yeah, you still had you still had to tow
- 3:21Speaker 2: in there. You had to toe in the water on
- 3:23Speaker 2: the party scene. But so I saw a thing, and
- 3:26Speaker 2: so we don't have phomo. We don't get phomo anymore.
- 3:29Speaker 2: We get phue b what's phoebe? Fear of being involved?
- 3:34Speaker 2: We do before? And I was like, bro, this is
- 3:40Speaker 2: fucking perfect.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Oh that's my worst nightmare.
- 3:43Speaker 2: Literally, the worst thing that could ever happen is someone
- 3:46Speaker 2: invites me somewhere and I say yes, Bro.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Oh so true. I'm an introverted heart and I always
- 3:52Speaker 1: will be.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I like, and the funny, the funniest thing is that
- 3:55Speaker 2: so many people say to us, like we've done shoots. Yeah, done,
- 4:00Speaker 2: we must be. We've done a few shoots, common, we've
- 4:08Speaker 2: done some shoes, we've done a couple of video shoes,
- 4:10Speaker 2: blah blah blah. But so at shoots, at things we've done,
- 4:15Speaker 2: we like management there or whatever. They'll they will ask
- 4:20Speaker 2: us a few questions and then they'll be like, oh,
- 4:22Speaker 2: just be comfortable like on the pod, and then we're like,
- 4:25Speaker 2: oh no, we're actually like really introverted, and they go, really,
- 4:27Speaker 2: you don't seem like it because they listen to the podcast,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and we're like yeah, because we're in a fucking safe
- 4:31Speaker 2: space on the podcast, like we know it's going out there,
- 4:34Speaker 2: but not a fan of doing it, and then like
- 4:36Speaker 2: in front of people.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Like that, and that's a different skill in itself.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Yeah exactly. But so I I thought it was so funny.
- 4:46Speaker 2: I hate that too. And it's just like I dread
- 4:47Speaker 2: it for the whole week too. If I've planned something
- 4:49Speaker 2: and I said, oh, yeah, I'll.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Do it, I'm like, I don't want to do that.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I don't want to do it. To day it is
- 4:52Speaker 1: just getting I don't want to do it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I don't want to do it. I fucking couldn't agree
- 4:55Speaker 2: more Like I where was I Okay, I was at
- 5:00Speaker 2: aer An Affair local shopping center. Yeah, and it was
- 5:04Speaker 2: the night. Actually I've told the story about me going
- 5:06Speaker 2: to my stepmom's birthday and how I was in chambles
- 5:10Speaker 2: that night. But so the day of I went to
- 5:12Speaker 2: get lunch. Beth and I went and got some lunch
- 5:14Speaker 2: at Aaron and we got to pick up a couple
- 5:16Speaker 2: of things. I think we were getting a present for
- 5:17Speaker 2: actually for Kate. We're walking into the food court and
- 5:20Speaker 2: I saw her sister. So Kate's sister, my auntie and
- 5:23Speaker 2: her husband and I saw them and I've known her
- 5:28Speaker 2: since I was fucking two, all right, nothing, and I
- 5:31Speaker 2: literally just turned a blind eye. And because she didn't
- 5:34Speaker 2: see me, and I was like, hey, she didn't see me,
- 5:35Speaker 2: I don't have to say hi to her. I couldn't
- 5:37Speaker 2: be fucked to say hi to her. And the crazy
- 5:40Speaker 2: thing is is I'm so glad I did that because
- 5:41Speaker 2: I would have forgot to say happy birth. I still
- 5:45Speaker 2: was in that mindset of like, it's only Kate's birthday,
- 5:47Speaker 2: it's only my mum's birthday. But so I was like,
- 5:51Speaker 2: and I was thinking in that moment, I was like
- 5:52Speaker 2: I'm in like I'm avoiding people I know, like people
- 5:55Speaker 2: I love, even when we're out and like there's a
- 5:58Speaker 2: big group of people and like semi don't know if
- 6:00Speaker 2: some of them. I'll wait till our friends come back
- 6:02Speaker 2: because I don't want to be involved in this conversation.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I'm the biggest loiterer when it comes to that. If
- 6:06Speaker 2: we like, especially if you're out with Jack, he knows
- 6:10Speaker 2: everyone to everyone, and he'll just be in there, like
- 6:13Speaker 2: even someone he doesn't know, like up in their face,
- 6:16Speaker 2: adding them to group chat Weather. That's getting to work
- 6:22Speaker 2: out facts, bro, Weather out the calculators. Sometimes I don't
- 6:25Speaker 2: even like being invited to like our close friend group
- 6:28Speaker 2: thing because when I go, I'm like, I really got
- 6:31Speaker 2: a socialize, say, I really got to like I got
- 6:35Speaker 2: to remember that everyone else has lives outside of me.
- 6:37Speaker 2: I have to ask them questions about them. So the
- 6:42Speaker 2: Phobie is real and I want Phoebe to become a movie.
- 6:45Speaker 1: We'll bring Phobe back. Yeah, everyone gets to be a
- 6:47Speaker 1: thing priors fom thing.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Everyone gets fomo fear of missing out, Like fuck no, bro, Phobo,
- 6:52Speaker 2: it's fucking ridiculous.
- 7:00Speaker 1: All right, Jake, I wanted to talk about next. Have
- 7:03Speaker 1: you heard this saying I think it's a bit of
- 7:05Speaker 1: a cliche one. It's probably been in some big American movies,
- 7:08Speaker 1: like kids movies. You've got to be in it to
- 7:10Speaker 1: win it, in it to win it. Yeah, it's given high.
- 7:13Speaker 2: School music bros giving high is going watch that recently,
- 7:17Speaker 2: and let me tell you, it's still good. It is
- 7:20Speaker 2: still good, but it's also corringeous far.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I have a confession. I've never seen high school musical ever. Ever,
- 7:29Speaker 1: what are you doing? Maybe we can sit down and
- 7:32Speaker 1: watch it together. I can't believe you've never seen one.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I've seen all three of them like five times.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Really, yeah, that doesn't surprise me.
- 7:42Speaker 2: You're saying that as an insult. I've got everyone backing
- 7:44Speaker 2: up right now, and dude telling you right now, Troy Bolton,
- 7:50Speaker 2: he's Troe Bolton sake. I was about to talk abou
- 7:55Speaker 2: high school musical with you. I was excited that I
- 7:57Speaker 2: was about to bring stuff up. I have a story
- 7:58Speaker 2: about it from like three weeks.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Ago, and you're like, I'm and I don't want to
- 8:02Speaker 1: hear it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Honestly, I recommend watching it. But he's the thing. I
- 8:04Speaker 2: think you're going to hate it. I probably will hate
- 8:06Speaker 2: it because you didn't watch it as a kid.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't like musicals.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I watched it as a kid, and I loved it
- 8:11Speaker 2: as a kid. I remember loving it, and I watched
- 8:14Speaker 2: it in Canada with Joanna and my younger sister Eva,
- 8:17Speaker 2: and I watched it, and in my head I'm thinking, like, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 2: I can't believe I liked this as a kid. But
- 8:21Speaker 2: I still watched the whole thing like it was still good.
- 8:24Speaker 2: In my opinion, I still thought it was really good.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Maybe I will give it a go. But that's not
- 8:29Speaker 1: what I wanted to talk about.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Please, did your girlfriend know you haven't watched High schools?
- 8:33Speaker 1: Never come up in a conversation. It's not going to
- 8:34Speaker 1: all right.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Well, she literally should be listening. I hope she's listening
- 8:37Speaker 2: to this, and I hope.
- 8:37Speaker 1: She finds out her force me to watch it. To
- 8:42Speaker 1: watch it anyway. They're saying in it to win it
- 8:45Speaker 1: quite cliche, but I think it's actually in recent times,
- 8:48Speaker 1: I've had another epiphany. I've had a few have been telling.
- 8:50Speaker 2: You he's had a couple of good ephanies.
- 8:53Speaker 1: But human nature, for some reason is you always don't
- 8:57Speaker 1: think you're good enough, or you always prep prep everything
- 9:01Speaker 1: and try to be ready for all life has to
- 9:03Speaker 1: throw at you. But recently my new ideologies has been
- 9:09Speaker 1: you should just start and be in the position because
- 9:13Speaker 1: you don't know what can come out of it. Here's
- 9:16Speaker 1: example being our podcast Very Start. I'm not going to
- 9:18Speaker 1: say we sucked. We were okay, very very, not great,
- 9:21Speaker 1: but just from doing it and being into the position
- 9:25Speaker 1: of trying and continually trying, all these opportunities arose just
- 9:31Speaker 1: from being in it, and now essentially we're winning. It's yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 1: we're doing as I'm saying, But even out of it,
- 9:37Speaker 1: A lot of people don't do things because they're scared
- 9:39Speaker 1: of that initial starting phase. So my new thing is,
- 9:42Speaker 1: just like you know, you're not never going to ever
- 9:45Speaker 1: be ready, I think you should just start and figure
- 9:47Speaker 1: it out because you don't know when life is going
- 9:50Speaker 1: to open up its doors and these all these amazing
- 9:52Speaker 1: opportunities are going to come from it. That's my new idology.
- 9:55Speaker 2: What do you think, dude, I mean, you know what
- 9:56Speaker 2: I was thinking about the other day, I do like that,
- 9:59Speaker 2: Like I mean everyone overthinks everything, yea, everyone is I
- 10:03Speaker 2: mean me included, I mean both of us included. Really
- 10:05Speaker 2: it takes us, I mean it took us a while,
- 10:07Speaker 2: Like starting the podcast, I definitely am gonna put it
- 10:11Speaker 2: out there. I never would have done on my own.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And even if let's say we we didn't start the podcast,
- 10:18Speaker 2: I never would have started anything, is what I mean.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Like it's always something like I think everyone thinks of it.
- 10:22Speaker 2: You know, everyone sees a lifestyle of like like an
- 10:25Speaker 2: influencer or something like that, and everyone wants that, but
- 10:28Speaker 2: you never no one ever does it because you're scared.
- 10:31Speaker 2: And I never would have done anything, I think without
- 10:33Speaker 2: having started the podcast, But now having started it, I'm
- 10:35Speaker 2: a lot less scared to do something. But me, the
- 10:38Speaker 2: overthinking of me is like what do I want to do? Like,
- 10:41Speaker 2: but do it? And also I start to think like
- 10:42Speaker 2: do I even want to do anything? Like I feel
- 10:45Speaker 2: like I have to do something. I think so too,
- 10:47Speaker 2: but we al we limited our capability. Like you might
- 10:49Speaker 2: be thinking like what do I do? But then have
- 10:51Speaker 2: you have these amazing goals and then.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Life just like nah, that's not realistic.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean like I think I wanted, I
- 10:58Speaker 2: think I should do something.
- 11:00Speaker 1: What do you want to do? What you's in your head?
- 11:02Speaker 2: But the thing is is like, at the same time,
- 11:04Speaker 2: I will start, I kind of toot myself because I'm like, oh,
- 11:06Speaker 2: but I really like doing the podcast, So why am
- 11:09Speaker 2: I telling myself I need to do something? You know
- 11:11Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Well, you're in you obviously talking like social media wise. Yeah,
- 11:14Speaker 1: well for me, it's like maybe posting something on your
- 11:16Speaker 1: own page and assuming that's what we're talking about. But
- 11:18Speaker 1: even like broad spectrum, like some people want to like
- 11:21Speaker 1: like manage properties and like do something like that, and
- 11:23Speaker 1: people say it's not realistic because someone wants to be
- 11:25Speaker 1: a jeweler and like you don't know where to start,
- 11:27Speaker 1: and it's just like it's become so like unrealistic. But
- 11:29Speaker 1: I think you should just chuck yourself in the deep
- 11:31Speaker 1: end and try it and you never know what's going
- 11:33Speaker 1: to happen from it.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Well, I mean, yeah, I think let's say we can
- 11:37Speaker 2: use us as an example again, because that's like really
- 11:39Speaker 2: what we have to go off. But like or anyone
- 11:42Speaker 2: really think of anybody's own life.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Well, we can talk about Harry's clothing brand too. He
- 11:46Speaker 1: just started and I think he shared his eleven months
- 11:49Speaker 1: journey or year journey the other day. Yeah, and he's
- 11:51Speaker 1: he's like so cool and weird. He's seeing the quality
- 11:53Speaker 1: of his jobs compared to how good they are now. Yeah,
- 11:55Speaker 1: and it's the same thing and all these opportunities he's
- 11:57Speaker 1: working with us and all these other cool brands because
- 11:59Speaker 1: he just started. Yeah, it's the same thing. And everyone
- 12:01Speaker 1: has aspirations once that someone's like I want to start
- 12:03Speaker 1: a clothing brand.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Oh you know, yeah, I feel like that's everyone does
- 12:06Speaker 2: want it.
- 12:06Speaker 1: He actually did it, and he's done it properly, like
- 12:08Speaker 1: he's adamant. And then I put his mind to it,
- 12:10Speaker 1: and I think that's admirable. It's the same with us
- 12:12Speaker 1: in the pot and everyone's got in the back of
- 12:14Speaker 1: their mind something whether it's a clothing brand, started a
- 12:16Speaker 1: painting shop, start a fucking donut shop, whatever it is.
- 12:20Speaker 2: I was thinking the other day, actually, I don't know when.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I don't know why it came. Remember, I think I
- 12:24Speaker 2: was looking down in the house in the house and
- 12:26Speaker 2: I was in my kitchen and you can see into
- 12:28Speaker 2: the old podcast room where we had the lolds and
- 12:30Speaker 2: stuff like obviously if you've been listening for a little while,
- 12:32Speaker 2: you'll remember that. And and I just remember there was
- 12:36Speaker 2: a point where we for a long time, actually, like
- 12:41Speaker 2: a lot of episodes, I think we we recorded the
- 12:43Speaker 2: video part of it just on our phones, and and
- 12:47Speaker 2: I was like, fuck, we've come a long way since
- 12:48Speaker 2: the phones. And then I even think like there was
- 12:51Speaker 2: obviously a long time where just if you think about it,
- 12:53Speaker 2: just like posting clips on Instagram and stuff, you know,
- 12:57Speaker 2: they didn't have any subtitles and there was there was
- 12:59Speaker 2: no effect on them, and there was like and I
- 13:01Speaker 2: think back, and I wish I could like tap myself
- 13:03Speaker 2: on the shoulder and be like, how do you not
- 13:05Speaker 2: understand that that is not a good video? Like how
- 13:07Speaker 2: they like now, but I've got all this experience now
- 13:10Speaker 2: because you just did it. Yeah, like like like we
- 13:12Speaker 2: have all this experience and because it's because I think it,
- 13:15Speaker 2: like we kind of just kept going. And it's the
- 13:17Speaker 2: first thing like in my head that's solidified that I
- 13:21Speaker 2: really love podcasts. And like I've said it before, like
- 13:23Speaker 2: I fit I've discovered that I'm passionate about it. But
- 13:26Speaker 2: I think because like even when it was shit and
- 13:29Speaker 2: I knew it wasn't good, I fucking enjoyed it, Like,
- 13:32Speaker 2: well we both enjoyed it, and we still did it
- 13:34Speaker 2: every week and we still like even if we were
- 13:37Speaker 2: we quite often we'd record on a Sunday and upload
- 13:40Speaker 2: on a Monday, like we always would be short of time.
- 13:42Speaker 2: We'd be like, fuck, we got to get this done.
- 13:44Speaker 2: We're like, what are we going to talk about in
- 13:45Speaker 2: this episode? Like we have nothing to talk about? We
- 13:47Speaker 2: live together, We fucking talk about everything. And I don't know.
- 13:50Speaker 2: I just think like it was interesting in my head,
- 13:53Speaker 2: thinking like fuck we I can't believe, Like I think
- 13:55Speaker 2: that feels like a fever dream.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It does you, And I bet you then looking back
- 13:58Speaker 1: on it now, like a bigod book, go back two
- 14:00Speaker 1: years ago now and looked like where we are now,
- 14:02Speaker 1: we'd be like, no way.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And I also, yeah, I agree. I think that if
- 14:05Speaker 2: if we went back two years ago or a year ago,
- 14:08Speaker 2: a year and a half ago, and we look at
- 14:10Speaker 2: where we are now, like right right now, you and
- 14:11Speaker 2: I constantly think like what can we do better? Yeah?
- 14:13Speaker 2: What can we do better?
- 14:14Speaker 1: Where?
- 14:14Speaker 2: How can we make more money? How can we how
- 14:16Speaker 2: can we do this? Like we're not we don't feel
- 14:17Speaker 2: comfortable yet, blah blah blah. We still feel like we're
- 14:19Speaker 2: not comfortable. But I bet you if we went back
- 14:21Speaker 2: a year ago even and we're like, oh, this is
- 14:23Speaker 2: what the future looks like this very second, we'd be like, oh,
- 14:26Speaker 2: we fucking made it right. We'd be like no, why.
- 14:30Speaker 1: It's so funny how your mind limits your capabilities, like
- 14:32Speaker 1: it tells you like nah, nah, that's not realistic, Like
- 14:35Speaker 1: you can't do that. Come on, man, be like you
- 14:37Speaker 1: guys just gonna be talking to Jake the whole time, like.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Yeah, literally, and even I guess if you think, like
- 14:43Speaker 2: I bet anyone out like jj you know, if you
- 14:46Speaker 2: guys are on Patreon Jack, we call him uncle. He's
- 14:48Speaker 2: on there. He was on the Patreon episodes doing some
- 14:50Speaker 2: sound stuff and just like chiming in. So he's a
- 14:52Speaker 2: plumber my trade, and like, I bet you when he
- 14:55Speaker 2: started his trade he not. He was like he was
- 14:58Speaker 2: probably he's working with his dad and his dad's teach
- 15:00Speaker 2: shit and he's like, I don't understand a thing. He's saying,
- 15:01Speaker 2: how the fuck am I ever going to be able
- 15:03Speaker 2: to do a whole house plumbing? But now he can
- 15:05Speaker 2: literally go and he works for himself pretty much like
- 15:08Speaker 2: his dad. Just he like runs his dad's company for
- 15:10Speaker 2: it basically yeah, and they I guess me. For example,
- 15:13Speaker 2: I did a carpentry apprenticeship. I remember at the start
- 15:15Speaker 2: being like fucking watching videos that the teacher's showing us
- 15:18Speaker 2: a take of like stuff that you're gonna know in
- 15:21Speaker 2: four years, and I'm like, I'm not gonna go.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Shit in four years.
- 15:23Speaker 2: That the fuck? That stressing me out, Like, seriously, I
- 15:26Speaker 2: don't know how to build a house, but I could
- 15:28Speaker 2: confidently if like I can't draw plans, but if some
- 15:31Speaker 2: if I went to a block of land, a flat
- 15:33Speaker 2: block of land, and someone had plans and everything, I
- 15:35Speaker 2: could confidently probably not as quick as a very experienced carpenter,
- 15:38Speaker 2: but I could confidently build a house. Yeah. And it's
- 15:40Speaker 2: just a crazy thing that, Yeah, and you go in
- 15:43Speaker 2: and it's funny because I was fully okay with being
- 15:46Speaker 2: ship at carpentry because I knew I was going to
- 15:48Speaker 2: get taught to do it. Yeah. So it's like, why
- 15:51Speaker 2: is someone fully not okay with being ship at the
- 15:53Speaker 2: thing they want to do when they know they need
- 15:55Speaker 2: time to learn.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Yeah. It is weird, and it is something about because
- 15:59Speaker 1: we are so passionate about it, we care so much
- 16:01Speaker 1: about being good at it. And I think that's also
- 16:03Speaker 1: why you should start the things, because you're going to
- 16:05Speaker 1: be passionate about it.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Here's a quote sorry, keep going, now you go, You'll
- 16:09Speaker 2: love this. This was something I was gonna bring up
- 16:11Speaker 2: a different episode, but this kind of fits here, and
- 16:14Speaker 2: I feel like we get this, we kind of do this,
- 16:17Speaker 2: and we try and stop ourselves, and I reckon, everyone
- 16:18Speaker 2: does this, so and I just saw it and my
- 16:20Speaker 2: screenshotted in it. It's when you're twenty, Okay, it's wanting
- 16:25Speaker 2: everything a fifty year old has, but in my twenties,
- 16:28Speaker 2: oh yeah, we do. I feel like we just constantly
- 16:30Speaker 2: are like, why don't we have that yet? But it's like,
- 16:33Speaker 2: so we would look at our parents and be like, whoa, whoa,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I want that? How'd they get that? Yeah, but we
- 16:38Speaker 2: don't remember we didn't know them when they were twenty exactly.
- 16:40Speaker 2: They were fucking dirt poor. They had nothing, they had
- 16:42Speaker 2: no experience, know anything.
- 16:43Speaker 1: It's so weird navigating life like we always Yeah, it's
- 16:46Speaker 1: you want all the answers and all the money in
- 16:48Speaker 1: the world, yeah, but you're not willing to like do
- 16:51Speaker 1: the process.
- 16:52Speaker 2: No. Yeah.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And then when you've we've done a little bit of
- 16:55Speaker 1: the process, we're like, oh that was cool, Yeah, like
- 16:57Speaker 1: I was worth it.
- 16:58Speaker 2: It's full. Yeah, We're like, oh, that's where and then
- 17:00Speaker 2: I think it's like a scary thing to think we've
- 17:02Speaker 2: got a long way to go.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, it's just human nature. But it comes back
- 17:06Speaker 1: to the saying like, you just got to be in
- 17:08Speaker 1: it to win it. If you got any goals or
- 17:09Speaker 1: aspirations or anything like that, I would stop overthinking it.
- 17:13Speaker 1: You're going to be ship at the start and just
- 17:16Speaker 1: start because then you're in it and you don't know
- 17:17Speaker 1: what opportunities can come from you just being in it.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Just slightly. Yeah, no, facts, that's it. I fully agree.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Can I have five minutes of explaining what high school
- 17:25Speaker 2: musical is to?
- 17:26Speaker 1: What was the time time?
- 17:30Speaker 2: I reckon?
- 17:30Speaker 1: We got plenty plenty Sure you've been raw. We should
- 17:34Speaker 1: have made a segment like that. Okay, first offs, sing
- 17:38Speaker 1: me a chorus of it, then you can explain it.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Gonna get you get you get your head in the game.
- 17:43Speaker 2: How did that go? What about? No, there's another one
- 17:46Speaker 2: where it's like, uh, oh, stick to this stuff. You know, No,
- 17:56Speaker 2: I forget it, but I know that the melody.
- 17:59Speaker 1: That's good enough. Have your five minutes, mate, Okay, husk
- 18:02Speaker 1: is cool?
- 18:02Speaker 2: All right? Troy Bolton the main characterright, Zach Efron Troy Bolton.
- 18:08Speaker 2: He goes to a school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His
- 18:12Speaker 2: dad is the basketball coach. Also legend like grew up
- 18:16Speaker 2: at that school one championships as like a legend in
- 18:18Speaker 2: the school. Now he's just both a basketball coach at
- 18:21Speaker 2: the school for a job. Okay starts off. The movie
- 18:24Speaker 2: starts off. He's on a ski trip for Christmas. It's
- 18:28Speaker 2: New Year's Eve, runs into a girl named Gabriella because
- 18:32Speaker 2: they get post put up on stage. They go to
- 18:34Speaker 2: like an under eighteen's party. Weird. They both they both
- 18:37Speaker 2: get put on stage to do karaoke. Zac Efron starts
- 18:39Speaker 2: trying all right, she she chimes in, helps out, and
- 18:42Speaker 2: then at the end they're like exchange numbers. They got
- 18:44Speaker 2: little flip phones or whatever, and then they just like
- 18:46Speaker 2: they both kind of assume because they were on a holiday.
- 18:49Speaker 2: He goes back to Albuquerque and she he doesn't know
- 18:51Speaker 2: where she lives. But then it starts off at Albuquerque.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Troy Bolton gets off the bus and everyone's like, yo, Troy,
- 18:57Speaker 2: what's up.
- 18:58Speaker 1: We're gonna win the championship.
- 19:00Speaker 2: And then he's like yeah, boys, and so then he
- 19:04Speaker 2: goes into home room, which is like roll call yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 2: and he and he's in there on his own and
- 19:09Speaker 2: he realizes that Gabriella has moved to his school, moved
- 19:12Speaker 2: to Albuquerque. He's at his school and he's acting all cool.
- 19:15Speaker 2: He gets out there and he's like chatting. He's like,
- 19:16Speaker 2: no way, I can't believe you. You're like I tried
- 19:18Speaker 2: to look for you, like the day after New Year's
- 19:19Speaker 2: but like you were gone or something. And then shar
- 19:22Speaker 2: Pei Evans is like a blonde chick and basically okay,
- 19:27Speaker 2: and so long story short, yeah, Troy Bolton liked singing
- 19:31Speaker 2: at the karaoke okay. And then for some reason, his
- 19:35Speaker 2: dad is like, you have to play basketball basketball basketball.
- 19:39Speaker 2: He's like, but what if I want to sing, dad,
- 19:40Speaker 2: And his dad's like that's ridiculous. But then him and
- 19:42Speaker 2: Gabriella go and they do like a little duet in
- 19:45Speaker 2: this like big school production play that's going to be
- 19:47Speaker 2: on and they get a call back right, and then
- 19:50Speaker 2: the basketball team finds out, like whoa, and so then
- 19:54Speaker 2: the basketball he's best mate that's on the basketball team
- 19:56Speaker 2: goes over to the girl that Gabrielle's friends with meis like,
- 19:58Speaker 2: we got to stop this. We've got to break them up, mate, Seriously,
- 20:00Speaker 2: He's like, we got to break them up and she's
- 20:01Speaker 2: like deal. And so then they record Troy Bolton. They
- 20:06Speaker 2: bade him he's in there, and that's when they start trying.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I'm like, this is your dad. He's a fucking champion,
- 20:10Speaker 2: and then he starts going. They get him on film
- 20:12Speaker 2: a live camp. Gabrielle is watching in the science room
- 20:14Speaker 2: because he's a nerd and and he's like, boys, she's
- 20:18Speaker 2: just a girl. I'm in it to win it or
- 20:20Speaker 2: something like that. He's like, I'm here for the ball. Boys.
- 20:23Speaker 2: She sees it, and then he doesn't know she's seeing it,
- 20:26Speaker 2: and the next time we sees her in the hall,
- 20:27Speaker 2: he's like he comes up to like a hand on
- 20:29Speaker 2: the locker, like what up, babe, and and she's like crying.
- 20:32Speaker 2: She's like no, Troy, Like she fucks off somewhere, and
- 20:35Speaker 2: then what else happens. I'm trying to think there's just
- 20:39Speaker 2: this whole thing about the guy. His friends realize their
- 20:41Speaker 2: dicks or something because he likes this girl, and then
- 20:43Speaker 2: they have and then they end up, they break them up,
- 20:45Speaker 2: then they help get them back together. Yeah, and then
- 20:47Speaker 2: they they win the championship in basketball, and he gets
- 20:50Speaker 2: to do the play and like that, and he's like
- 20:54Speaker 2: his dad's watching the player clap and and then there's
- 20:57Speaker 2: two more movies up there.
- 20:58Speaker 1: There's two more to go through. Yeah, that's all we
- 21:00Speaker 1: got time for. You know, you know why I let
- 21:02Speaker 1: you explain that, why I don't have to watch the
- 21:04Speaker 1: movie anymore.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Yes, you do, you have to watch.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It, Thank you, sir.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Fuck it. Hell my new favorite I've got I've been

- 21:44Speaker 2: of life, so it's I am no man's piece. And
- 21:46Speaker 2: then the next slide it's a little slide, it's not
- 21:48Speaker 2: a video, and the next one is a text message
- 21:51Speaker 2: between a guy and a girl. And it's the girls
- 21:54Speaker 2: just roasting. Dude, it's fucking the best thing ever.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I'm ready for this.

- 24:31Speaker 2: refers to you as which one.

- 24:38Speaker 1: we can't do this anymore. She's like, oh, yeah, it's fine.
- 24:40Speaker 1: You're like, oh you said. He's like, nah, I'm good.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You do me a favor. I was gonna do it anyway.
- 24:48Speaker 2: This one's not me and it's just funny. It's like
- 24:50Speaker 2: something that I think all girls should do, just because

- 24:56Speaker 2: just hy e. Yeah. She says, you have all twenty
- 25:00Speaker 2: six letters on your keyboard, please use them. He said yes.

- 25:14Speaker 2: Okay, yes to facts, you can use it on you.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yes, what.
- 25:20Speaker 2: She would reply, Okay, this one is just a girl
- 25:24Speaker 2: saying it to a guy. All right, She says, do
- 25:27Speaker 2: you ever look at yourself in the mirror and think, hmmm,
- 25:31Speaker 2: I'm not tall enough to be acting like this.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Maybe that's why he's acting it because it's so short
- 25:39Speaker 1: in a baby true more small man syndre Yes, all right,
- 25:42Speaker 1: it's like small dogs in You're gonna like this one

- 26:15Speaker 1: or something. Yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Fuck, okay, I go three more. This one's like kind
- 26:24Speaker 2: of a long one from him. Okay, you're gonna lie this.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I think you're like this. Him staying up until five
- 26:29Speaker 2: am to text you wasn't about proving manliness. It was
- 26:33Speaker 2: more like laying my cards on the table, sharing thoughts
- 26:35Speaker 2: and feelings without the typical guy bravado. I wanted you
- 26:39Speaker 2: to know that every text and every late night conversation
- 26:42Speaker 2: was an investment of my time and emotions because you
- 26:45Speaker 2: mean something special to me. It wasn't. It wasn't just
- 26:48Speaker 2: about being a man. It's about breaking through the expectations
- 26:52Speaker 2: of what it means to be a guy. Her what
- 26:54Speaker 2: in the chat.
- 26:58Speaker 1: That was some manny stuff from modern fam. Hey, we
- 27:04Speaker 1: should try and have conversations with our girlfriends using chat GBT,
- 27:09Speaker 1: and then we'll read them back out so we'll get
- 27:11Speaker 1: chat should reply.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I'll be like she said this, what should I say?
- 27:14Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yeah, see how long we can go?
- 27:17Speaker 1: That's good?
- 27:17Speaker 2: Holy ship, bro, that's a great idea. Okay, I got
- 27:22Speaker 2: to more him? When am I going to see you? Her?
- 27:26Speaker 2: When I post my next Instagram picture? Next? Okay? Last
- 27:33Speaker 2: one him? You ever wish things went down different between us? Her? Yeah?
- 27:38Speaker 2: I wish I cheated. That's fun, oh man? But that
- 27:45Speaker 2: that's just a few. What's a thread called I am
- 27:48Speaker 2: no Man's piece?
- 27:49Speaker 1: Why is it that I am no Man's piece?
- 27:51Speaker 2: Because I think it's just like they are stressing them out.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I have no idea, but I just think it's the
- 27:56Speaker 2: funniest thing ever. That was good, Okay, and not get over.
