- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb on News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Well, it's a glorious day in the neighborhood, boys and girls.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Welcome to Friday. We couldn't be happier about that. Friday,
- 0:11Speaker 2: October 23rd already. Another gorgeous day, a string of gorgeous
- 0:15Speaker 2: days we've had and will continue to have. And it's
- 0:18Speaker 2: nice to be with you. 66 degrees right here in
- 0:21Speaker 2: the kingdom of Mahoning, where we broadcast from this afternoon,
- 0:25Speaker 2: Ron Verb. And it's good to be with you.
- 0:27Speaker 3: 330-729-7000.
- 0:27Speaker 2: 9977. That's my top secret number. Freedom of speech lives
- 0:34Speaker 2: at 330-729-9977.
- 0:34Speaker 4: 330-729-9977.
- 0:34Speaker 2: I think Ted the Conservative is standing by.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Hello?
- 0:36Speaker 2: There it is. The boss lady did an impression of
- 0:37Speaker 2: you the other day. when I took her call and
- 0:50Speaker 2: she did, and she did the Ronald and I didn't,
- 0:53Speaker 2: it didn't connect with me until I was driving halfway home.
- 0:56Speaker 2: And then I just started laughing. It took that long
- 0:58Speaker 2: to make the connection.
- 1:00Speaker 5: Yeah, she got you good. I was listening the other day.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yes, yes, she did.
- 1:04Speaker 5: It might be a little bit noisy, but I'm getting
- 1:06Speaker 5: away from the noise.
- 1:06Speaker 4: I'm not sure if you can.
- 1:07Speaker 5: Hear that or not.
- 1:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:09Speaker 5: But, um, I haven't talked in a couple of weeks
- 1:12Speaker 5: other than my conversation with G2 the other day. So
- 1:16Speaker 5: I thought I'd better call in and, uh, some politics
- 1:20Speaker 5: with you and conversate if you were willing to.
- 1:23Speaker 2: I'm more than willing to. I mean, it's getting down
- 1:26Speaker 2: to crunch day. And God forbid if this– I was
- 1:31Speaker 2: reading something. Wait a second. When was this something I
- 1:33Speaker 2: thought that was pretty good on– I think I got
- 1:37Speaker 2: something for you. Where is it here? Oh, listen to this.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Tell me what you think about this. This is about
- 1:47Speaker 2: Amy Acton.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Are you ready?
- 1:50Speaker 2: This is just from a Facebook post. The governor's office
- 1:53Speaker 2: is not for therapy. Acton is one screwed up lady.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I feel sorry for her and understand why she is
- 1:59Speaker 2: a boozer and apparently has enough anger issues to rip
- 2:04Speaker 2: a mirror off the wall and shatter it or curl
- 2:06Speaker 2: up and cry or hide and not take questions or
- 2:09Speaker 2: shout out slurred nonsense. But sadly, I don't want an
- 2:13Speaker 2: Ohio governor with deep-seated issues that require therapy. And whether
- 2:17Speaker 2: you accept her mom's and her stepdaughter's versions, or Ms.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Acton's co-workers and the evidence that she has never held
- 2:25Speaker 2: a real job very long, the conclusion is the same.
- 2:28Speaker 2: I want a smart and capable leader for Ohio, not
- 2:31Speaker 2: a fragile whiner. I thought that was interesting.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I would agree, and if you want to start there
- 2:38Speaker 5: with Ms. Amy Acton, I would tell you that I
- 2:40Speaker 5: found some interesting... Well, first of all, we haven't spoken
- 2:43Speaker 5: in so long. The Vivek Ramaswamy ad, I had no
- 2:46Speaker 5: problems with. Never once did he refer to her incident.
- 2:54Speaker 5: No one in the media had referenced that. They just
- 2:58Speaker 5: referred to her dishonesty about everything. And last night, I'm
- 3:03Speaker 5: sitting there scrolling the Internet, and I come across a
- 3:11Speaker 5: guy who was in Mahoning County this week, traveled to
- 3:14Speaker 5: the great metropolis of Mahoning County, Did a public records
- 3:18Speaker 5: request out at our court's office, who first tried to
- 3:22Speaker 5: stonewall him and push him off, but then this guy filed.
- 3:26Speaker 5: I guess he came prepared. He immediately filed an injunction
- 3:29Speaker 5: with the courts, and they had to give him all
- 3:31Speaker 5: the records. So he got all the records from Amy Atkins'
- 3:35Speaker 5: situation that she discussed when she was a youth. And
- 3:40Speaker 5: not a lot of it jives to what she's saying.
- 3:44Speaker 3: The mother was never.
- 3:48Speaker 5: What's the word I want to use? She was never
- 3:52Speaker 5: treated as a perpetrator of a crime. She was never arrested,
- 3:56Speaker 5: never booked, never skipped a cut, never ran out of state.
- 4:00Speaker 5: Same thing with the father-in-law. This guy, he did have
- 4:03Speaker 5: a court date set, but he skipped it. And he
- 4:06Speaker 5: was over in Pennsylvania, and on more than one occasion,
- 4:11Speaker 5: he was arrested in Pennsylvania for different issues, whether it
- 4:14Speaker 5: was traffic or whatnot. And there was never a hold
- 4:18Speaker 5: put on him by the state of Ohio, let alone
- 4:20Speaker 5: Mahoney County, for a crime committed against a child. I'm
- 4:25Speaker 5: not saying it didn't happen, but her story doesn't match
- 4:29Speaker 5: the legal documents that were unveiled yesterday. I'm sure they'll
- 4:32Speaker 5: probably hit the media, the big media, in a couple days.
- 4:35Speaker 5: We'll probably hear about this, but I'm telling you now.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I try to be ahead of the curve. You know
- 4:40Speaker 5: that a lot. So the other thing that didn't jive
- 4:43Speaker 5: was her living in a tent. She claimed her and
- 4:46Speaker 5: her brother lived in a tent.
- 4:49Speaker 3: They pulled all, like.
- 4:50Speaker 5: I said, they got a lot. There's a ton of
- 4:52Speaker 5: legal documents. I'll send them to you later on.
- 4:54Speaker 7: I'm driving now.
- 4:55Speaker 5: And the address that was given for her was an
- 5:01Speaker 5: apartment above a storefront in Youngstown. She had her maternal
- 5:07Speaker 5: father in the area. She often left her mother to
- 5:10Speaker 5: go stay with him. And if I'm not mistaken, the
- 5:13Speaker 5: only reference to where a tent could have been located
- 5:17Speaker 5: was a, what do you call it, a trailer park
- 5:22Speaker 5: where the stepfather was living. So, you know, I'm not
- 5:28Speaker 5: saying what happened to her didn't happen, and I'm not
- 5:31Speaker 5: saying it's one of the most horrible crimes in the world,
- 5:33Speaker 5: because it is. Any crime against children is horrible. But
- 5:37Speaker 5: is she using that for sympathies? And is she telling
- 5:40Speaker 5: a different story than what actually happened?
- 5:45Speaker 2: I must confess to the following when it comes to
- 5:48Speaker 2: this situation. And don't take this the wrong way. I
- 5:53Speaker 2: don't care. I agree.
- 5:55Speaker 7: I don't care either.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm just going to be straightforward with all of you.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I don't care about any of that. As I've said
- 6:03Speaker 2: to you all before, that is all irrelevant to me.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It doesn't change my vote one way or the other.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I really don't care about what happened in her personal life.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's really her business and her family's business. It's really
- 6:20Speaker 2: not my business.
- 6:23Speaker 8: Well, it's a.
- 6:23Speaker 5: Voter's business if she wants to be your governor.
- 6:25Speaker 6: She's lying about the incidents that happened. It ain't going
- 6:28Speaker 6: to change your mind or my mind. But to the
- 6:31Speaker 6: average person, that doctor saying, do I vote for Ramaswamy
- 6:34Speaker 6: or do I vote for Amy Atkins? Oh, she lied
- 6:37Speaker 6: about this stuff. Okay, that does matter. So it is important.
- 6:41Speaker 6: It may not be important to you and I. But
- 6:44Speaker 6: it's important to the low-information voter, maybe the dumb voter.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, there's just strangeness that sometimes happens.
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'll stretch my head. I'll say this, and then that's
- 6:52Speaker 2: about all I have to say about it. Remember Jimmy
- 6:55Speaker 2: Carter and his brother Billy Carter, which was kind of
- 6:58Speaker 2: an embarrassment in the family? Remember, who was the Kellyanne
- 7:04Speaker 2: Conway and her wacky husband who just hated Trump? Yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 2: that guy.
- 7:09Speaker 5: He suffered from it.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Kellyanne Conway, who worked hard for Trump, big Trump supporter,
- 7:15Speaker 2: and her husband, who she was married to, just hated
- 7:18Speaker 2: him and said all these vicious things. I can't explain
- 7:24Speaker 2: the dynamics of some families. I mean, is it eye-opening
- 7:28Speaker 2: that your mother is calling you a liar? Well, it
- 7:32Speaker 2: is somewhat eye-opening. I mean, that is your mother, and
- 7:35Speaker 2: you would think that she would keep that to herself
- 7:37Speaker 2: or keep it private, so... I mean, it is eye opening.
- 7:40Speaker 5: But as I say, as a parent, as a parent.
- 7:45Speaker 2: It is really eye opening because it's your child. And
- 7:48Speaker 2: so the reality is this. None of this matters to me.
- 7:51Speaker 2: As I've said a million times and I'll say it again,
- 7:53Speaker 2: there's no way I can vote for Amy Acton because
- 7:55Speaker 2: I don't think she's qualified to be governor. She won't
- 7:58Speaker 2: debate Vivek Ramaswamy. And on top of that, she quit
- 8:03Speaker 2: when she was a state doctor when the going got tough.
- 8:07Speaker 2: And I don't believe she has any qualifications to run
- 8:10Speaker 2: a company as big as the state of Ohio, $ 100
- 8:13Speaker 2: billion plus budget. I don't think she has any noteworthy
- 8:18Speaker 2: experience to even be capable of running this state. So
- 8:22Speaker 2: that's my reasons for not voting for Amy Acton. Do
- 8:27Speaker 2: I believe the polls? I'm always suspicious of the polls.
- 8:30Speaker 2: So as far as I'm concerned, Carville said it's economy stupid.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And I say this, I understand the economy in general
- 8:38Speaker 2: has had some bumpy bumps in the road, but in general,
- 8:41Speaker 2: it's been pretty good. I'm going over yesterday. The goodness
- 8:45Speaker 2: of Trump far outweighs even his situation in Iran. And
- 8:50Speaker 2: I saw gas prices today at 450 a gallon. I
- 8:53Speaker 2: say it again to you guys, you're tired of hearing
- 8:55Speaker 2: me say it. I don't know everything they know. And
- 8:58Speaker 2: they're not going to tell me everything they know. I'm
- 9:00Speaker 2: sure they have information I'm not familiar with. It's the
- 9:04Speaker 2: comparison I make, and I just make this to all
- 9:06Speaker 2: of you. People give me opinions all the time on
- 9:09Speaker 2: climate change. And that's all well and good. But you
- 9:13Speaker 2: know what? I'm not a scientist. I haven't traveled up
- 9:16Speaker 2: to the Arctic. I don't see if the glaciers are melting.
- 9:20Speaker 2: It takes a certain degree of expertise to really talk
- 9:24Speaker 2: coherently on it. A lot of people have opinions on
- 9:26Speaker 2: it or beliefs on it, but it's just based on
- 9:29Speaker 2: an opinion or a belief. It's not based– I mean,
- 9:31Speaker 2: it's really a scientific debate whether or not there is
- 9:35Speaker 2: climate change that is affecting the world today. An opinion
- 9:39Speaker 2: is not based on much other than love.
- 9:42Speaker 5: An opinion is like a butthole.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Right, if you fall into that category. But with that
- 9:52Speaker 2: being said, I can't vote for her just based on
- 9:56Speaker 2: I don't think she's a good choice for governor. I
- 9:58Speaker 2: do not believe in... anything the Democrats are standing for
- 10:02Speaker 2: in their wacky agenda that they will bring back here.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I will not vote for Sherrod Brown. I will not
- 10:07Speaker 2: vote for Amy Acton. If they win, they will win
- 10:09Speaker 2: without my vote. And I think you will regret it
- 10:13Speaker 2: if they do win and if you do vote for them,
- 10:15Speaker 2: that it is just a major mistake. The gas prices
- 10:19Speaker 2: will come down once the situation in Iran is remedied.
- 10:23Speaker 2: They will come down, and perhaps at some point— I
- 10:27Speaker 2: like the Biden policy that drove prices up.
- 10:32Speaker 5: It wasn't—you know, this was a decision to go to
- 10:34Speaker 5: war that drove the prices up. Under Biden, it was
- 10:37Speaker 5: an administrative policy. The attack on fossil fuels that drove
- 10:42Speaker 5: up the price of fuel.
- 10:43Speaker 2: The Democrats hate fossil fuels, and they still hate fossil fuels.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They regulated the Samus power plant out of business. They
- 10:51Speaker 2: regulated against the oil companies. The bottom line is your
- 10:54Speaker 2: gas prices won't come down under them. They'll get worse
- 10:57Speaker 2: under them. And I'm just not going to vote for
- 11:00Speaker 2: the lunatics again. I cannot support that. I will not
- 11:03Speaker 2: support that. And I think gas prices will come down.
- 11:07Speaker 2: And at some point, I hope all the information comes
- 11:10Speaker 2: out that whether Trump was intimidated into doing this by
- 11:14Speaker 2: Israel or there's something else that's going on that I
- 11:17Speaker 2: don't know about. There is a possibility. I'm pointing to.
- 11:22Speaker 5: You some things that Senator John.
- 11:24Speaker 2: Kennedy spoke to that.
- 11:26Speaker 5: Were irrelevant, that the public's never really talked about. So
- 11:29Speaker 5: I do think I'm glad that you've come around a
- 11:32Speaker 5: little bit to realize, because in the beginning, you and
- 11:35Speaker 5: I were on a little different.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Page, I think.
- 11:38Speaker 2: I'm dead set against the war, make no mistake.
- 11:40Speaker 5: I'm against it, too, but we're not in that Oval Office.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Right, but I'm going to say— We don't know.
- 11:46Speaker 5: What they know, and I told you that on day one.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Right, but I'm going to say this.
- 11:50Speaker 5: And what I told you is I trust Trump.
- 11:52Speaker 2: But I don't. Trust but verify, as Reagan says. So
- 11:55Speaker 2: I hope he's doing the right thing. I hope the
- 11:57Speaker 2: information will come out one way or the other as
- 12:01Speaker 2: time goes on. And these prices will come down. That's
- 12:07Speaker 2: all I'm hoping for my odds of more affordable energy
- 12:11Speaker 2: are way better under Trump than any of the Democrats.
- 12:15Speaker 2: And if it comes out that Trump made a decision
- 12:17Speaker 2: to do this knowing it would jeopardize his midterms, as
- 12:21Speaker 2: far as that... No, maybe they made that decision for
- 12:25Speaker 2: the benefit of the country because there's things I don't
- 12:28Speaker 2: know at this point in time. It's a possibility. I
- 12:31Speaker 2: tell a story with Obama. Obama, Biden told Obama, don't
- 12:34Speaker 2: kill Osama bin Laden. It's too risky. It can cost
- 12:37Speaker 2: you reelection. And Obama said to hell with it. We're
- 12:40Speaker 2: going to go for it, and we're going to do it.
- 12:42Speaker 2: He said, this is more important than being reelected. That
- 12:46Speaker 2: information didn't come out until long after the situation Obama
- 12:51Speaker 2: was gone, if you will, as far as his presidency.
- 12:54Speaker 2: So this could be a very similar situation with Trump
- 12:57Speaker 2: and Iran, and they're not going to come and tell
- 12:59Speaker 2: us everything that they know. They're just not going to
- 13:02Speaker 2: do it, or how they know it. Anyway, go ahead.
- 13:05Speaker 5: I think there's been presidents our lifetime... that have made
- 13:09Speaker 5: that difficult decision. And I do believe in my heart
- 13:13Speaker 5: of hearts that when it comes to national security, they
- 13:18Speaker 5: do treat that differently. They take that office seriously. They
- 13:21Speaker 5: take that responsibility seriously. And their biggest responsibility is to
- 13:25Speaker 5: protect the people of.
- 13:27Speaker 2: The United States. Well, I honestly believe, Ted, all these
- 13:29Speaker 2: illegals that have been led into this country by Biden
- 13:32Speaker 2: are a big financial burden and a big threat and
- 13:35Speaker 2: undermine you.
- 13:37Speaker 5: They're the inflation drivers. They're the reason that home prices.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Have gone up.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Right. And I'm all for.
- 13:42Speaker 5: If you bring 20 million people in with a limited
- 13:45Speaker 5: amount of resources to house them, defeat them, you think
- 13:47Speaker 5: it's not going to affect your country. But then again,
- 13:50Speaker 5: that's the stupidity of the Democrats. Let me pivot, because
- 13:53Speaker 5: I don't want you to cut me off.
- 13:54Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Before I say a couple things. I've got to tell
- 13:58Speaker 5: you that I am profoundly shocked how the hatred of
- 14:06Speaker 5: Donald Trump will drive people to make incomprehensible decisions that
- 14:13Speaker 5: will affect them in a negative way economically and socially.
- 14:17Speaker 5: You've got this one guy that's called you the last
- 14:19Speaker 5: couple weeks. He hates Trump. He calls him a rapist.
- 14:24Speaker 5: He's always talking about his kid laying in his basement
- 14:27Speaker 5: so he can get ahead. He just hates Trump. But
- 14:31Speaker 5: I never remember this guy calling when inflation was 9%
- 14:34Speaker 5: and the economy was going to crap under Joe Biden. See,
- 14:38Speaker 5: none of these Democrats, Emanuel, this guy here, and any
- 14:43Speaker 5: other leftist that calls the program, they were sitting on
- 14:47Speaker 5: their hands for four years. with everything that was being
- 14:50Speaker 5: done that got us to where we are. We know
- 14:52Speaker 5: the economy's better. We know that Trump, inflation under Trump,
- 14:56Speaker 5: when you look at the big picture, is much lower
- 14:58Speaker 5: than Biden's. We know the economy's growing. There's so many
- 15:02Speaker 5: things better under the presidency of Donald Trump. Haven't even
- 15:06Speaker 5: talked about safety or illegals or that stuff. So the
- 15:09Speaker 5: only thing that's driving people against voting for Republicans is
- 15:14Speaker 5: is the hatred of Donald Trump. Because you've got to
- 15:17Speaker 5: be stupid to vote against your own well-being. I had
- 15:20Speaker 5: to say that. Because that guy just, his hatred comes
- 15:23Speaker 5: out so loud. And I'm not even sure if he
- 15:26Speaker 5: realizes it. So you've got to really be dumb to
- 15:29Speaker 5: vote for a Democrat who's going to do everything that
- 15:33Speaker 5: got us to where we are. We already know whether
- 15:35Speaker 5: it's Amy Acton or even at the local level. You're
- 15:39Speaker 5: running these things off by Amy Acton. You could say
- 15:41Speaker 5: the same thing in the commissioner's race. Lauren McNally. She
- 15:44Speaker 5: wants to raise your taxes. She doesn't want to do
- 15:47Speaker 5: any more real estate taxes. She wants to spend more.
- 15:50Speaker 5: She doesn't believe in any of the same policies that
- 15:55Speaker 5: you and I agree with. She will not debate Christine Oliver.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Set that aside for a second. How about just the
- 16:00Speaker 2: reality that she hasn't shown up as she should for
- 16:04Speaker 2: the job she was elected to?
- 16:05Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I mean, forget all your political.
- 16:08Speaker 4: She doesn't go to work.
- 16:10Speaker 7: Right.
- 16:11Speaker 2: She is a state rep and she has a horrible
- 16:14Speaker 2: and I mean horrible attendance record. She's collecting a paycheck.
- 16:18Speaker 2: She's giving you all this nonsense on how she's there
- 16:20Speaker 2: to serve you and all that kind of stuff. But
- 16:22Speaker 2: she has an absolutely god awful attendance record. So she's
- 16:25Speaker 2: taking a paycheck and not showing up like everyone else is.
- 16:31Speaker 2: And now she says, I want you to elect me commissioner. Well,
- 16:35Speaker 2: I'm sorry. And I say this a lot. You should
- 16:37Speaker 2: have your head examined.
- 16:38Speaker 5: I don't care if you're a Democrat or a Republican.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Show up!
- 16:43Speaker 5: And I don't care if you don't like Christine Oliver.
- 16:46Speaker 5: You've got to be stupid to vote for Warren McNally.
- 16:48Speaker 5: What would happen to you, for any of your listeners,
- 16:51Speaker 5: the wide array of listeners we have, that come across.
- 16:54Speaker 2: All kinds of ideologies? Stand by, stand by. Stand by
- 16:59Speaker 2: back with Ted the Conservative and more of your calls. Hi,
- 17:04Speaker 2: this is Ron Verb. If you're looking for a candidate
- 17:06Speaker 2: out at Bernard Daniels, WKBN. I mean, it's– and I'm
- 17:11Speaker 2: kind of bouncing around with Ted the Conservative on politics.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I enjoy doing that, to say the least. But, I mean,
- 17:16Speaker 2: it's like if you're elected a state rep and you
- 17:20Speaker 2: don't show up, you've got a horrible attendance record, then
- 17:23Speaker 2: you're collecting a paycheck and you're not showing up. It's
- 17:25Speaker 2: just like what Meacham was talking about yesterday with county
- 17:28Speaker 2: employees that are not– doing their job, okay? The salaried
- 17:33Speaker 2: workers that aren't showing up and doing their job. It's
- 17:37Speaker 2: the same thing. I mean, it's ridiculousness. And I go
- 17:41Speaker 2: back to this. I'll say this again. Ralph Meacham is
- 17:43Speaker 2: the best county auditor we've ever had in my 41-year
- 17:46Speaker 2: history in this community. He is simply one of the
- 17:49Speaker 2: smartest guys and one of the best guys in that position.
- 17:52Speaker 2: To vote against Ralph Meacham is just a foolish thing
- 17:55Speaker 2: to do. He should overwhelmingly win this election. It doesn't
- 18:01Speaker 2: matter if he's a Republican or Democrat. He happens to
- 18:02Speaker 2: be a Republican, but he's just outstanding at that job. Period.
- 18:06Speaker 2: End of story.
- 18:07Speaker 5: All right, Captain. So let me ask you this. This
- 18:12Speaker 5: is what I was wanting to say before the commercial.
- 18:15Speaker 5: What would happen to you or any of your listeners
- 18:18Speaker 5: if you only showed up to work two days a week?
- 18:21Speaker 5: The other three days, no one knew where in the
- 18:22Speaker 5: hell you were. You'd probably get fired, wouldn't you?
- 18:27Speaker 7: So think about it.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Unless you're a state rep.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Unless you're Laura McNally.
- 18:32Speaker 5: Sitting at home, God only knows doing what except going
- 18:37Speaker 5: to work. They say, what, 61% attendance rate? So if
- 18:42Speaker 5: you think about that, six out of ten days, just
- 18:45Speaker 5: divide that by two, do simple math. That's two and
- 18:49Speaker 5: a half.
- 18:49Speaker 9: Days a week.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I'm not even doing the math. It's just that you've
- 18:52Speaker 2: got a terrible attendance record.
- 18:53Speaker 5: She doesn't show up for work. Like I said, I
- 18:55Speaker 5: don't care if you like anyone or you don't like anyone.
- 19:00Speaker 5: It's common sense.
- 19:01Speaker 2: How do you represent people if you're not there?
- 19:05Speaker 5: How do you vote for Lauren McNally if she's already
- 19:08Speaker 5: telling you I'm not going to show up for work?
- 19:11Speaker 5: I'm not going to reduce your taxes. To be honest
- 19:14Speaker 5: with you, I think I'm going to tax you more
- 19:15Speaker 5: because I know best how to spend your money. Don't
- 19:17Speaker 5: forget how she chastised the county commissioners for reducing taxes.
- 19:21Speaker 5: She said those dollars are needed, whether it's matching funds
- 19:25Speaker 5: or payrolls to give raises or new programs or grants.
- 19:29Speaker 5: I mean, you've got.
- 19:31Speaker 7: a.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Decision to make locally that could have big impact. We
- 19:34Speaker 5: got a chance to put another Republican in there, and
- 19:37Speaker 5: I don't care what you feel about Geno. He's done
- 19:40Speaker 5: the best he could do being down there by himself.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Let's give him the opportunity to work with a like-minded
- 19:46Speaker 5: individual in Christine Oliver and see what they do, you know?
- 19:49Speaker 5: And then in in two years, four years, you grade
- 19:52Speaker 5: them on their performance. So let's look at Laura McNally.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Looks greater on her performance.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Listen, it doesn't matter to me. I said again, it
- 20:02Speaker 2: doesn't matter to me if you're a Republican or Democrat,
- 20:04Speaker 2: if you don't show up and do your job. Look
- 20:06Speaker 2: at the outstanding job Dave Thomas is doing as state
- 20:09Speaker 2: rep and the things that he's doing for constituents, both
- 20:12Speaker 2: his constituents and the rest of us. benefits you're getting
- 20:17Speaker 2: on your property taxes go to everybody. It doesn't matter
- 20:19Speaker 2: if you're a Republican or Democrat. As I've said to you,
- 20:22Speaker 2: I've never seen a harder-working state rep in my 41
- 20:25Speaker 2: years than Dave Thomas. I mean, he is truly doing
- 20:29Speaker 2: the work of the people and is truly a public servant.
- 20:32Speaker 2: And he gives a lot of credit.
- 20:33Speaker 5: And if Warren McNally is just the opposite.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Right.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And he gives a lot of credit to Tex Fisher.
- 20:37Speaker 2: So I take him at his word. And his fellow
- 20:40Speaker 2: Republicans that seem to be helping him get the football
- 20:43Speaker 2: across the line. And that's what I support. And that's
- 20:49Speaker 2: what I'm looking for, people that operate in my best interest.
- 20:52Speaker 2: As critical as people can be of Trump, Trump still
- 20:55Speaker 2: wants you to be able to keep more of your money.
- 20:57Speaker 2: He did it with the Trump tax cuts, which... which
- 21:00Speaker 2: he got through in a big, beautiful bill. He's done
- 21:02Speaker 2: it with no tax on tips, no tax on overtime,
- 21:05Speaker 2: higher deductions or deductibles, if you will, for your Social Security.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Everything he's done has been so you can keep more
- 21:14Speaker 2: of your money in your pockets. Totally opposite of the Democrats.
- 21:19Speaker 5: Let me say this, too.
- 21:20Speaker 10: Let me give you an eye, Captain.
- 21:21Speaker 5: You did a great job many times over the last
- 21:23Speaker 5: two weeks. in reference to tariffs and what they mean
- 21:28Speaker 5: to the country and what they mean to the people
- 21:30Speaker 5: and their jobs. So you've really got, I mean, you've
- 21:33Speaker 5: laid out a blueprint that's pretty clear to read as
- 21:37Speaker 5: to what Trump has done to make your life better
- 21:39Speaker 5: compared to what Democrats. And if you can't understand it,
- 21:43Speaker 5: we can't help you. But if you vote against your
- 21:47Speaker 5: own interests, you know, you shouldn't be voting. I mean,
- 21:50Speaker 5: it's common sense, Ron. It's just some people lack common sense.
- 21:57Speaker 5: They're driven by.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I see people that they're just going to vote that
- 22:01Speaker 2: way and they don't know what's... Well, everybody's entitled to
- 22:05Speaker 2: their vote, but jeez.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Everyone's entitled to their vote.
- 22:08Speaker 5: I agree. But it would be nice if they gave
- 22:10Speaker 5: an IQ test first.
- 22:12Speaker 2: All right, Ted.
- 22:13Speaker 7: That it?
- 22:13Speaker 5: All right, we'll talk more next week. I'll stay in touch.
- 22:15Speaker 2: All right, Ted the Conservative, back with your call in
- 22:17Speaker 2: a minute.
- 22:17Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKVS. An accused of.
- 22:24Speaker 11: Intentionally hitting a Hamilton County Sheriff's deputy one day after
- 22:27Speaker 11: his son was fatally shot by a Cincinnati police officer
- 22:31Speaker 11: was convicted today. Rodney Hinton Jr. was found guilty of
- 22:34Speaker 11: charges including murder in the May 2025 death of Deputy
- 22:38Speaker 11: Larry Henderson. Hinton will be sentenced on November 16th. His
- 22:42Speaker 11: attorneys plan to appeal. It's not just midterm elections for Piqua.
- 22:46Speaker 11: Residents also get a recall election.
- 22:48Speaker 12: Piqua residents are calling for a change of leadership, and
- 22:51Speaker 12: the final straw involves data center deals and lack of communications.
- 22:56Speaker 12: Election Day means more to the northern Miami County community,
- 22:59Speaker 12: as Piqua voters will also get a special election to
- 23:02Speaker 12: choose of Mayor Jim Vedder and two council members are recalled.
- 23:06Speaker 12: If the mayor is removed, the five commissioners will get
- 23:09Speaker 12: to elect a new leader.
- 23:11Speaker 2: I'm Lee Mowan.
- 23:12Speaker 11: And I'm Andy Betts.
- 23:14Speaker 13: Listen on the free iHeartRadio app for all your music, news, talk,
- 23:18Speaker 13: and sports radio.
- 23:19Speaker 14: Podcasts, too.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Download the app.
- 23:21Speaker 14: Free never sounded so good.
- 23:24Speaker 15: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 23:27Speaker 15: one-day baths. Highways are accident-free this afternoon. You're all clear
- 23:32Speaker 15: on I-80 between the I-76, I-80 split and 376 in
- 23:37Speaker 15: Mercer County. No delays on 680 from downtown Youngstown to
- 23:41Speaker 15: the Turnpike. And just under a half hour on 422
- 23:45Speaker 15: between Warren and downtown Youngstown. I'm Mike Ross from the
- 23:49Speaker 15: Total Traffic Center.
- 23:50Speaker 16: This report is sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
- 23:53Speaker 12: If your pet passenger is injured in a covered accident.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Now, Ron Verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN. The sun
- 24:01Speaker 1: is shining. It's another gorgeous day in my neck of
- 24:04Speaker 1: the woods here. Ron Furp from the Kingdom of Mahoning,
- 24:07Speaker 1: where it's 67 degrees on just a beautiful, beautiful Friday afternoon.
- 24:12Speaker 2: News Radio 570, WKBN. You're on the air.
- 24:15Speaker 3: Hi, Ron.
- 24:19Speaker 17: How you doing?
- 24:20Speaker 2: Ladies and gentlemen, it sounds to me like it's JJ. JJ,
- 24:25Speaker 2: I'm doing okay. How you doing?
- 24:28Speaker 5: A little bit better.
- 24:30Speaker 17: Thank you. Thank you for.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I'm glad you're a little bit better. You got a
- 24:34Speaker 2: lot of things to deal with and work out, and
- 24:37Speaker 2: you can do it. You can be... You'll do it.
- 24:40Speaker 2: You can do it.
- 24:40Speaker 5: Remember, you can do it.
- 24:43Speaker 2: All right, you can do it. In every life, you know,
- 24:47Speaker 2: there's some bumpy roads, and all you got to do
- 24:50Speaker 2: is make it through, and everything works out.
- 24:54Speaker 17: I'm just going to... The way I see it is
- 24:56Speaker 17: that I failed at something that is my fault. This
- 25:03Speaker 17: is everything that I explained to you is my fault.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Well, now you learn from it and you move on.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I mean, it's as simple as that. You don't dwell
- 25:13Speaker 2: on it. You don't let it haunt you. If you
- 25:19Speaker 2: embrace your failure, you learn from it and you move on.
- 25:22Speaker 2: Or as my father used to say, are you ready
- 25:24Speaker 2: for this one? You grow a pair. That's what my
- 25:27Speaker 2: father would say. You grow a pair.
- 25:29Speaker 17: I'm still waiting for mine to drop.
- 25:33Speaker 2: My dad would say, hey, you got to learn to
- 25:34Speaker 2: roll with the punches, JJ. You got to learn to
- 25:36Speaker 2: roll with the punches. And so there's always some bumpy road.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Things will work out. Life has a peculiar way of
- 25:44Speaker 2: fixing things as time goes on. And you'd listen to
- 25:46Speaker 2: all that wisdom and then it'll always be. And you
- 25:49Speaker 2: got to grow a pair. Okay, there you go. Well,
- 25:53Speaker 2: thanks for the wisdom of my father. Now, you know, now,
- 25:58Speaker 2: you know, I, why I am the way I am.
- 26:00Speaker 14: There you go.
- 26:00Speaker 17: You know, well, it's, um, you just had a child
- 26:04Speaker 17: at the night of time. Just, um, just keeping myself
- 26:07Speaker 17: in action because I thought I'd just wither away and,
- 26:11Speaker 17: you know, and my own thoughts and stuff. So I'm
- 26:15Speaker 17: doing a little bit of work and just doing some
- 26:18Speaker 17: volunteer time.
- 26:21Speaker 2: There's all kinds of agencies out there that can give
- 26:25Speaker 2: you some assistance.
- 26:29Speaker 17: I know the answers to them. It's just hard to
- 26:31Speaker 17: tell yourself these things.
- 26:32Speaker 5: And I miss them both.
- 26:35Speaker 17: And it's a little difficult, but I get some things,
- 26:39Speaker 17: you know.
- 26:40Speaker 2: You've got to deal with the reality. You've got to
- 26:43Speaker 2: deal with your reality and say, okay, this is my reality.
- 26:47Speaker 2: So now where do I go from here? And you
- 26:50Speaker 2: regroup and you learn from your lessons.
- 26:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 26:55Speaker 17: Well, actually, as we were talking, I was, you know, going,
- 26:57Speaker 17: you know, and I get, you know, I'm seeking the
- 26:59Speaker 17: help that I, you know, that you need, you know,
- 27:02Speaker 17: and plus I'm down here that I never knew if
- 27:04Speaker 17: you guys didn't know that there's a new agency that
- 27:08Speaker 17: the state of Ohio, I don't know if it's nationwide
- 27:10Speaker 17: or not, but they, you.
- 27:12Speaker 9: Go in and you show your ID.
- 27:15Speaker 17: And you got to tell them whether you're a Democrat
- 27:17Speaker 17: or not. And then they, you What they do is
- 27:20Speaker 17: they actually do some— they do a physical examination of you
- 27:24Speaker 17: first to see if you are.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Really like a human being first.
- 27:27Speaker 17: And then after that, then they start— you sit down with
- 27:31Speaker 17: a psychiatrist, and they start asking you questions on your— why
- 27:35Speaker 17: you believe in transgenderism and why.
- 27:37Speaker 10: You believe a dog can have a baby.
- 27:39Speaker 17: Yes.
- 27:41Speaker 10: You get a nice questionnaire.
- 27:42Speaker 17: It's a 20-point questionnaire, and then you have— So many points,
- 27:45Speaker 17: you know, that you have to answer to me.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:49Speaker 2: So very difficult questions. And then if you pass, they
- 27:53Speaker 2: they anoint you a Republican.
- 27:55Speaker 17: Yeah, well, right now, they're just.
- 27:57Speaker 3: I'm looking.
- 27:58Speaker 17: I'm in actually a soundproof room. I don't know what's
- 28:01Speaker 17: going on.
- 28:02Speaker 2: It's all white. I'm looking through the window, and.
- 28:04Speaker 17: They're whispering and they're pointing at me.
- 28:07Speaker 2: It might be a padded soundproof room that's locked on
- 28:11Speaker 2: the door locks.
- 28:12Speaker 17: Yeah, the next one might be a padded one, but
- 28:14Speaker 17: they're just, you know, kind of giving me a... looking
- 28:16Speaker 17: for me on top to bottom. I think they're, you know,
- 28:18Speaker 17: now they're pulling out a syringe. I don't know what
- 28:20Speaker 17: they're going to plan on doing with that, but... So it's...
- 28:23Speaker 17: You know, just as I said, I knew there was
- 28:25Speaker 17: something wrong with me other than, you know, my my
- 28:30Speaker 17: my family mistakes. I'm obviously picking the wrong party here.
- 28:33Speaker 17: But so I'm telling them also that I am getting help. So,
- 28:37Speaker 17: you know, Dr.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Vinny Buma, I told him that.
- 28:40Speaker 17: I have him as my my my doctor. And so
- 28:43Speaker 17: I don't know if they're going to call him and
- 28:44Speaker 17: try to validate my my Trumpism.
- 28:46Speaker 4: So.
- 28:47Speaker 17: I'm hoping that— Well, all you've got.
- 28:49Speaker 2: To do is say to yourself, now, where do I
- 28:50Speaker 2: go from here? What do I do? How do I
- 28:54Speaker 2: solve these issues and move on and try to make
- 28:57Speaker 2: the best of the situation and learn from the situation
- 29:00Speaker 2: and say, okay— Well, that's what it is.
- 29:02Speaker 17: You said when you're 35, but not when you're 64.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but I mean, you know, you can always— life is—
- 29:11Speaker 2: Always something that's in motion.
- 29:13Speaker 8: You never know what you're going to get.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you can always improve yourself. You can't just say, oh,
- 29:19Speaker 2: you can't teach an old dog new tricks. No, that's
- 29:21Speaker 2: not necessarily true. Believe me. My wife is still training
- 29:25Speaker 2: me after all these years.
- 29:26Speaker 17: I want to thank everybody. I just heard a couple things.
- 29:31Speaker 17: Thank you for everybody and your kind thoughts, even though
- 29:34Speaker 17: you throw stones at me any other time. I appreciate you.
- 29:37Speaker 2: People are worried about you.
- 29:38Speaker 17: People have provided for me. and I don't deserve it.
- 29:42Speaker 2: Well, you deserve it. There's a lot of good people
- 29:44Speaker 2: out there. And they want to make sure that's.
- 29:49Speaker 17: Quite kind of the libertarian. I mean, look, they looked
- 29:51Speaker 17: it up and you had a nice conversation with him.
- 29:53Speaker 8: So, but anyway, carry on.
- 29:56Speaker 17: You're my, you're still my archenemy.
- 29:58Speaker 7: And good.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And it should remain that way.
- 30:00Speaker 7: All right.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Thank you. There you go. JJ checking in to let
- 30:04Speaker 2: everybody know. He's glad for your thoughts. You're on the air.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Hello.
- 30:09Speaker 18: Hey, I'm calling into, um, I expressed my frustration with
- 30:15Speaker 18: Bernie Marino, who campaigned as a hardcore conservative, got my vote,
- 30:20Speaker 18: was pretty excited about him, replaced Sherrod Brown. I thought
- 30:25Speaker 18: that this past week on Newsmax that he was, his
- 30:30Speaker 18: latest idea was he was going to start Trump accounts
- 30:34Speaker 18: for everybody who's 40 years.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Old and under.
- 30:38Speaker 18: And the Trump accounts themselves I'm not a big fan.
- 30:40Speaker 5: Of because it's redistribution of wealth.
- 30:43Speaker 18: Everybody talks about what a great idea it is that
- 30:47Speaker 18: we can get this funding to young kids and get
- 30:49Speaker 18: them started on investing.
- 30:51Speaker 2: But the question is, who's paying?
- 30:54Speaker 18: Because I pay for my own kids' funding for whatever
- 30:58Speaker 18: they need, and I take care of that. But when
- 31:01Speaker 18: the government reaches in and takes federal income tax dollars
- 31:04Speaker 18: and decides to start spreading that around, I thought that's
- 31:07Speaker 18: the redistribution of wealth that we were all against on
- 31:10Speaker 18: the right. And he's going against the fiscal responsibility of
- 31:14Speaker 18: the Republican Party.
- 31:16Speaker 4: He also was the guy right.
- 31:18Speaker 2: After Trump said... Listen to what you're saying. I mean,
- 31:21Speaker 2: this is the ridiculousness of this guy's call. The point
- 31:27Speaker 2: of Trump accounts, and incidentally, these contributions made, like Elon
- 31:31Speaker 2: Musk saying he wants to give everyone a share of
- 31:33Speaker 2: stock in SpaceX, which incidentally had huge, really soared on
- 31:38Speaker 2: the markets. But needless to say, he wants to put
- 31:42Speaker 2: a share of stock in everybody's portfolio for these Trump accounts,
- 31:45Speaker 2: for these young kids. You had the Dell computer guy,
- 31:48Speaker 2: that private sector guy that's putting money in all of
- 31:51Speaker 2: these accounts out of his pockets. So much of what
- 31:55Speaker 2: you're talking about is private sector money that's going into
- 31:58Speaker 2: these Trump accounts. How much is it? From donations. that's
- 32:05Speaker 2: going into it. How much is it? I don't know
- 32:07Speaker 2: that any of the tax dollars are going into it.
- 32:10Speaker 2: I would have to check.
- 32:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I checked.
- 32:13Speaker 14: You want to know?
- 32:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I do want to know. How much private sector
- 32:17Speaker 2: money is going into the Trump accounts?
- 32:20Speaker 18: No, I don't care about the private sector. I asked,
- 32:22Speaker 18: do you want to know how much you and I
- 32:23Speaker 18: are paying?
- 32:24Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 32:25Speaker 3: Okay, well, it's $ 15.
- 32:26Speaker 18: Billion for every three years. So when they talked about
- 32:30Speaker 18: just the first tranche, of kids that are going to
- 32:34Speaker 18: be for like 2025 to 2028, it's $ 15 billion. By
- 32:40Speaker 18: the time you expand that to everybody who is middle-aged,
- 32:42Speaker 18: 40 and under, it's $ 340 billion of federal income tax.
- 32:48Speaker 4: So now what do you have to say about that?
- 32:50Speaker 14: You want to pay more?
- 32:52Speaker 3: I thought you wanted to pay less.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to tell you. First, just so you know,
- 32:57Speaker 2: let's see. Seat amount, $ 1, 000 per eligible newborn born from
- 33:00Speaker 2: 2025 through 2028, funded by the U.S. Department of Treasury.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Total federal program funding out of the $ 4. 5 billion to
- 33:11Speaker 2: $ 8 billion total deposited across tens of millions of accounts,
- 33:15Speaker 2: which heavily feature large philanthropic contributions from donors like Michael
- 33:20Speaker 2: and Susan Dell Foundation. The federal seed contribution portion accounts
- 33:25Speaker 2: for roughly $ 1. 3 billion of the total government and philanthropic
- 33:31Speaker 2: funding base. Only U.S. citizen children born between 2025 and
- 33:35Speaker 2: 2028 with a valid Social Security number qualify for the
- 33:38Speaker 2: $ 1, 000 federal seed deposits requiring parents to claim or activate
- 33:44Speaker 2: the account via the official app. All right. And then
- 33:47Speaker 2: you've got the private sector money coming in. And I
- 33:50Speaker 2: think that's an excellent idea of the use of my
- 33:54Speaker 2: tax dollars as well. We give, let's see, billions away
- 33:57Speaker 2: in foreign aid to foreign countries all the time, which
- 34:00Speaker 2: I'm dead set opposed to. And I think that this idea,
- 34:04Speaker 2: the sooner you can get people to save for their
- 34:06Speaker 2: future and teach them that, I think the better off
- 34:10Speaker 2: you are. For example, a lot of times you can
- 34:13Speaker 2: take what's called tax deductions. Like you can deduct from
- 34:16Speaker 2: your federal income tax deductions. Your property taxes. Well, guess what?
- 34:21Speaker 2: That lowers your federal tax obligation. So if you pay
- 34:24Speaker 2: property taxes, you.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Can deduct them.
- 34:26Speaker 18: We're not teaching them how to save. This is a gift.
- 34:29Speaker 4: A redistribution of wealth.
- 34:30Speaker 2: All right. So let's just end them. End the hell
- 34:33Speaker 2: with it.
- 34:33Speaker 19: All right.
- 34:34Speaker 8: If that's what you want.
- 34:35Speaker 2: Here's the other thing.
- 34:35Speaker 4: There's another one here.
- 34:36Speaker 18: He wants to give $ 5, 000 to all Americans who vote Republican,
- 34:40Speaker 18: which is another $ 1. 2 trillion that we're paying for.
- 34:43Speaker 3: This is Bernie Marino.
- 34:45Speaker 20: All right.
- 34:45Speaker 21: Well, I tell you what, go out and vote for
- 34:51Speaker 21: the Democrats, because I'm sure that's what you are, because
- 34:54Speaker 21: you always call me with this BS crap.
- 34:56Speaker 14: So vote for the Democrats. Yes, you do.
- 34:58Speaker 18: I'm to the right of Bernie Moreno and way to
- 35:00Speaker 18: the right of.
- 35:00Speaker 19: You, my liberal friend.
- 35:01Speaker 2: No, you're not. You're absolutely nuts. I absolutely am. You
- 35:04Speaker 2: are nuts.
- 35:04Speaker 8: You sit there and bitch about them.
- 35:06Speaker 2: You are nuts. You're way beyond that. You're on the air.
- 35:09Speaker 19: Hello. Your cat's a little hell here on both sides.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I mean, it's ridiculous when you have a program that
- 35:18Speaker 2: can assist young people being born and give them a
- 35:21Speaker 2: boost up and teach them. I say it publicly all
- 35:24Speaker 2: the time. If you have children, they should all have
- 35:27Speaker 2: Roth IRAs. People don't understand financing. A Roth IRA, you
- 35:31Speaker 2: put money into it now that's taxed, it grows tax-free,
- 35:34Speaker 2: and you take it out tax-free. You do it when
- 35:38Speaker 2: you're 20 years old. Let's just say 20 years old.
- 35:40Speaker 2: You put $ 1, 000 in. You can put in up to
- 35:44Speaker 2: $ 7, 000 a year. By the time you're retirement age, you'll
- 35:46Speaker 2: be a multimillionaire with a Roth IRA. But you've got
- 35:51Speaker 2: to be disciplined to put the money in and say,
- 35:53Speaker 2: I'm going to put $ 1, 000, $ 2, 000, $ 3, 000, up to $ 7, 000
- 35:56Speaker 2: a year in. And I'm not going to spend it
- 35:58Speaker 2: on going to concerts or doing stupid stuff. I'm actually
- 36:01Speaker 2: going to save some of what I make and put
- 36:04Speaker 2: it into that. And over the years, with either compound
- 36:08Speaker 2: interest or the stock markets, you will retire at least
- 36:12Speaker 2: a millionaire, if not a multimillionaire. And that's what the
- 36:15Speaker 2: incentive should be. People today do not understand planning. It's
- 36:20Speaker 2: a damn shame to that last caller who thinks he's
- 36:22Speaker 2: so conservative that we're in a country now where most
- 36:26Speaker 2: people don't have $ 500 to $ 1, 000 set aside for a
- 36:27Speaker 2: major car repair. I mean, when you hear that statistically,
- 36:34Speaker 2: that's shocking that people haven't saved $ 1, 000. Well, it's because
- 36:39Speaker 2: we live in a society where many people are unable
- 36:42Speaker 2: to say no to themselves. I live for today. I
- 36:44Speaker 2: don't worry about tomorrow. I'm owed this or I deserve this.
- 36:49Speaker 2: The most important thing you can say to yourself often
- 36:51Speaker 2: is no, I can't afford this. And or no, I'm
- 36:54Speaker 2: going to live below my means and I'm going to
- 36:56Speaker 2: save some money as I'm supposed to for when I
- 36:59Speaker 2: get older so that I'll have that set aside to
- 37:01Speaker 2: have an enjoyable retirement. A lot of people choose not
- 37:04Speaker 2: to do that. And now we're trying to correct that behavior.
- 37:09Speaker 2: And obviously, my kids are adults now, so they wouldn't
- 37:13Speaker 2: be entitled to any of these Trump accounts. But I
- 37:16Speaker 2: support the idea for all these young kids being born today.
- 37:19Speaker 2: And I think it's a step in the right direction.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I'm all for helping my fellow Americans, not billions of
- 37:26Speaker 2: dollars to Egypt or Israel or any other foreign country.
- 37:33Speaker 2: or the Ukraine where we were paying their pensions, but
- 37:37Speaker 2: not Delphi pensions. Doesn't make any sense to me. America first.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 37:43Speaker 19: Okay. When did you start doing your Roth accounts?
- 37:47Speaker 4: What age?
- 37:48Speaker 2: I did not do a Roth account for the following reason.
- 37:51Speaker 2: When I was a young man, they did not exist.
- 37:53Speaker 2: So what we had at the time, I'm glad you
- 37:56Speaker 2: asked that question. When I was a young man, They
- 38:00Speaker 2: started IRAs where you could put money, pre-tax money in.
- 38:04Speaker 2: In other words, before you pay taxes on it. And
- 38:08Speaker 2: you could put it in and it could grow. And
- 38:11Speaker 2: then you would be taxed on the money coming out.
- 38:14Speaker 2: But you got a tax deduction putting money in. You're
- 38:17Speaker 2: probably familiar with what's called the traditional IRA. That's what
- 38:21Speaker 2: was around when I was a young man. And that
- 38:23Speaker 2: is what I put money into. Obviously, my father was
- 38:27Speaker 2: there to say this is this is and I'm not
- 38:31Speaker 2: going to kid anybody. I mean, we had an accountant.
- 38:34Speaker 2: I hate how that sounds. But we had obviously an
- 38:37Speaker 2: accountant and and the accountant said, this is what you
- 38:41Speaker 2: guys should be doing. And here's a novel idea. We
- 38:44Speaker 2: listen to him. And we followed that, and we did that.
- 38:49Speaker 2: So you could put in, I forget what the amounts were,
- 38:51Speaker 2: like $ 3, 000 a year, $ 2, 000 a year, whatever. And my
- 38:55Speaker 2: dad would insist that you worked and you put money
- 38:57Speaker 2: into it and let it grow. But the problem with
- 39:02Speaker 2: the traditional IRA is it doesn't grow tax-free. So when
- 39:07Speaker 2: you reach 73, you have to take minimum distributions out
- 39:11Speaker 2: of it. It's mandatory by the government at 73. And
- 39:17Speaker 2: they increase those deductions as you get older because they
- 39:20Speaker 2: want you to draw all of your money out, hopefully
- 39:22Speaker 2: before you die, so they can tax it at that point.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Still a good idea. You've got a tax deduction for it,
- 39:28Speaker 2: but it's not nearly as good as a Roth IRA.
- 39:30Speaker 2: But it didn't exist when I was a young man.
- 39:32Speaker 2: A lot of people convert over their IRAs to Roth IRAs,
- 39:37Speaker 2: but my age is not a wise thing to do
- 39:41Speaker 2: it at my age.
- 39:43Speaker 19: I converted mine over to the Roth IRAs. When I
- 39:47Speaker 19: got going, when I was able to.
- 39:49Speaker 2: You've got a five-year period, though, that you can't really
- 39:52Speaker 2: touch it. So, I mean, it depends when you do it.
- 39:56Speaker 2: The interesting thing is you can open a Roth IRA
- 39:59Speaker 2: and put $ 100 in it, and that starts the clock
- 40:02Speaker 2: ticking for the five years, and then you can put
- 40:06Speaker 2: more in later. You follow what I'm saying?
- 40:09Speaker 19: Yeah, I'm following what you're saying.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Hang on a second. I'll come back to you in
- 40:12Speaker 2: just a minute. NewsRadio 570, WKBN. We're on for more
- 40:15Speaker 2: with his call, more with your calls. Stay tuned. Stay
- 40:23Speaker 2: warm with a $ 39 heating inspection from A to Z.
- 40:26Speaker 4: Hi, this is Dan.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Howdy ho, Ron. Verb 355 on a Friday afternoon, October 23rd,
- 40:35Speaker 2: 66 degrees. So, see, it's all about doing some financial
- 40:41Speaker 2: planning for you, and a lot of people ignore this
- 40:44Speaker 2: kind of stuff.
- 40:45Speaker 19: I understand that. If I may, I'd like to ask
- 40:47Speaker 19: you something.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Yes, you may come forth.
- 40:49Speaker 19: It's not really personal, but it is personal.
- 40:52Speaker 2: Okay.
- 40:52Speaker 19: How many times you've been married? One.
- 40:57Speaker 7: Okay.
- 40:57Speaker 19: What age did you get married?
- 41:00Speaker 2: Well, I've been married for 30... Boy, this is 30.
- 41:06Speaker 19: Oh, let's just leave it at that, because I can't
- 41:08Speaker 19: remember mine, and mine's over 50.
- 41:10Speaker 2: Well, mine's about 35. Thanks for bailing me out there.
- 41:13Speaker 4: That's all right.
- 41:15Speaker 19: My wife says the same thing to me, and I've
- 41:17Speaker 19: got to go find a piece of paper that I
- 41:19Speaker 19: can never seem to find to remember.
- 41:21Speaker 2: And remember what I say to you, and remember this,
- 41:23Speaker 2: and for all of you guys out there, and I
- 41:26Speaker 2: mean it sincerely, the biggest compliment you can ever have
- 41:33Speaker 2: in your life is when you ask the girl you
- 41:34Speaker 2: love to marry you, and she says yes. There is
- 41:37Speaker 2: no bigger achievement than that. And God bless you. And
- 41:43Speaker 2: it's just a beautiful thing.
- 41:46Speaker 22: Okay.
- 41:47Speaker 19: Now, this is not a slap in the face to you.
- 41:50Speaker 23: Yes.
- 41:51Speaker 19: It's just a discussion.
- 41:53Speaker 2: And incidentally, I married a woman just in this day
- 41:55Speaker 2: and age. Did you marry a woman?
- 41:58Speaker 4: Of course.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Okay. Well, you know how it's the new woke society anymore.
- 42:04Speaker 2: You know how it goes.
- 42:05Speaker 19: Well, anyhow.
- 42:06Speaker 4: Yes.
- 42:08Speaker 19: So, what age do you recall that you got married?
- 42:13Speaker 2: I was in my early 30s, I think.
- 42:17Speaker 19: That's about right. So, from the time that you went
- 42:21Speaker 19: to college, got out of college, and had your first job,
- 42:24Speaker 19: the only thing you had to worry about was whom?
- 42:28Speaker 19: Just yourself.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Absolutely. Number one in all the world.
- 42:33Speaker 19: So, you didn't have to worry about paying to help
- 42:37Speaker 19: pay for her, your wife.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Right. In other words, if you're asking me, did I
- 42:46Speaker 2: get married at 18 or 20 or 22? No, I
- 42:49Speaker 2: did not.
- 42:50Speaker 19: I married at 22 and a half.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Well, there's nothing wrong with that. There's a lot of
- 42:57Speaker 2: benefits that come from that.
- 42:58Speaker 19: When you add one more person to the check... it
- 43:04Speaker 19: kind of lessens the amount of money that you can
- 43:07Speaker 19: have to start your account for the future.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Well, it can. It has more to do, I would
- 43:14Speaker 2: say to you, I think it has more to do
- 43:16Speaker 2: with your lifestyle and your choices. Stand by. We'll talk
- 43:19Speaker 2: more after the break. All right, hang on. I'm going
- 43:21Speaker 2: to go back to him. He's making some... Good conversation
- 43:24Speaker 2: and some good points. I want to pick up with
- 43:25Speaker 2: that discussion right after this. Ron Verp from the Kingdom
- 43:28Speaker 2: of Mahoning. Stay tuned.

- 44:03Speaker 16: if they win control of Congress and implement what he
- 44:06Speaker 16: calls radical policies.
- 44:07Speaker 24: We're going to defeat the radical left Democrats all across
- 44:12Speaker 24: the country.
- 44:15Speaker 14: And we're going to win.
- 44:16Speaker 24: A Republican House and a Republican Senate and do things
- 44:19Speaker 24: like you wouldn't believe.
- 44:22Speaker 16: This is Democrats fight Trump policies they blame for the
- 44:24Speaker 16: cost of living. Also accusing Republicans of making it harder
- 44:28Speaker 16: to vote in Texas.
- 44:29Speaker 18: Although voter suppression is powerful, big money is powerful, it
- 44:33Speaker 18: is nothing compared to people power. And I think you're
- 44:35Speaker 18: seeing that across the state with these historic turnout numbers.
- 44:38Speaker 14: We've got to keep that up.
- 44:40Speaker 16: Democrat James Tallarico up against State Attorney General Ken Paxton
- 44:44Speaker 16: in a Senate race that's deadlocked in the latest Fox polling.

- 44:50Speaker 16: More than 20 million ballots cast nationwide so far. in
- 44:54Speaker 16: data collected by the Associated Press.
- 44:55Speaker 25: What we don't know yet is whether this spike in
- 44:59Speaker 25: early voting numbers represents a true surge in new voters
- 45:02Speaker 25: or the same reliable voters who are just casting their
- 45:06Speaker 25: votes earlier. Now, according to Fox News polling, 84% of
- 45:09Speaker 25: voters nationwide say they are interested.
- 45:12Speaker 2: In the midterms. More than half say extremely interested.

- 47:18Speaker 1: to it. NewsRadio 570 WKBN, 4.05 in the afternoon, 66 degrees.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Beautiful day, Ron Verb. I'm going to go back to
- 47:25Speaker 2: this gentleman. I find the discussion interesting because many of
- 47:29Speaker 2: the things that you're saying, you know, what age did
- 47:31Speaker 2: you get married and how long have you been married?
- 47:33Speaker 2: Many of the decisions that an individual makes in their
- 47:36Speaker 2: life has a dramatic effect on their health and or
- 47:41Speaker 2: their happiness or the pursuit of happiness and or their
- 47:44Speaker 2: financial situation. Listen, I'm not saying that you can get
- 47:49Speaker 2: married at 18 or 20 or 22 or 25. That's
- 47:50Speaker 2: a decision you choose to make. There are pluses and minuses.
- 47:56Speaker 2: And I'm not saying that if you get married at
- 47:58Speaker 2: 22 that it's difficult to set money aside and save.
- 48:01Speaker 2: It can be difficult for people to save depending on
- 48:04Speaker 2: how much money they make, depending what their priorities are.
- 48:08Speaker 2: I've seen it all my life. I've seen people that made,
- 48:12Speaker 2: in all seriousness, $ 200, 000, $ 300, 000 a year, and they didn't
- 48:15Speaker 2: have a nickel to their name. because they lived on
- 48:18Speaker 2: a $ 400, 000 lifestyle. So it isn't necessarily the amount of
- 48:22Speaker 2: money you make, although in my opinion it should make
- 48:24Speaker 2: it easier, but it's really on how much of your
- 48:27Speaker 2: money you keep. As my father would say, you have
- 48:30Speaker 2: to live as far below your means as you can
- 48:32Speaker 2: when you're young, and that means making wise choices. It
- 48:38Speaker 2: doesn't mean going on vacation every year. It means not
- 48:41Speaker 2: doing that. It means not buying some of this stuff.
- 48:45Speaker 2: So you're saving money and setting money aside for your
- 48:50Speaker 2: future and for your retirement and for compounding that interest
- 48:56Speaker 2: over the years. And you can certainly do that. when
- 49:00Speaker 2: you're 15 years old, if you're working and saving some money,
- 49:04Speaker 2: and you can certainly do that if you're 20 or
- 49:07Speaker 2: 30 or 40. I've just noticed in my own life,
- 49:09Speaker 2: and I would say to you, many people who've never
- 49:11Speaker 2: done it have never done it because they couldn't say
- 49:14Speaker 2: no to themselves. They get their paycheck. I want this.
- 49:17Speaker 2: I want that. And I think it's really how you
- 49:20Speaker 2: were raised or what your priorities are. So I don't.
- 49:25Speaker 2: I put that out there. So, you know, it's like
- 49:28Speaker 2: it's not my fault if you get married and you
- 49:30Speaker 2: get divorced and you get married again and you get
- 49:32Speaker 2: divorced again. Like my father would say, you know, the
- 49:35Speaker 2: quickest way. Hey, let me lay this on you, old timer.
- 49:37Speaker 2: You know what my dad would say? The quickest way
- 49:39Speaker 2: to financial ruin is. Are you ready?
- 49:42Speaker 19: Multiple marriages.
- 49:43Speaker 4: Divorce.
- 49:44Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 49:46Speaker 2: So, you know, that's why some people meet Mrs. Wright
- 49:50Speaker 2: at 22 or 25 or 30 or 32 or whatever.
- 49:56Speaker 2: So that's when you pull the trigger. And I certainly
- 49:59Speaker 2: hope it works out for people. There's nothing better than
- 50:02Speaker 2: an intact family. There's nothing better. Would you agree with that?
- 50:06Speaker 2: You've been married 50 years. Isn't that the highlight of
- 50:08Speaker 2: your life?
- 50:10Speaker 19: Luckily, she didn't hear me, but it's going on 52.
- 50:18Speaker 2: I would have covered for you.
- 50:20Speaker 19: Maybe 50, whatever. But what's getting me is the culture
- 50:28Speaker 19: here with everybody being so angry. And I believe that
- 50:36Speaker 19: with you not going to vote for a Democrat for governor,
- 50:40Speaker 19: the thing you keep forgetting is she has to work
- 50:47Speaker 19: If her agenda is certain things, she has to work
- 50:53Speaker 19: with Republicans down in Columbus. Just because you walk in there,
- 50:58Speaker 19: that doesn't mean that you're going to take full control
- 51:02Speaker 19: of everything.
- 51:03Speaker 2: No, you're 100% correct. And usually what that means, because
- 51:08Speaker 2: I deal with reality, is nothing will get done for
- 51:11Speaker 2: the most part. Because I argued, you bring up another
- 51:14Speaker 2: excellent point. You bring up some good points today. I
- 51:17Speaker 2: argued over the years, you know what I argued? How
- 51:19Speaker 2: stupid we were to send the Democrats down as our
- 51:22Speaker 2: state representatives when the majority was republicans because they will
- 51:26Speaker 2: get nothing accomplished and do nothing and.
- 51:28Speaker 19: I said here about that i really don't know about.
- 51:31Speaker 2: I do because i sat here and i lived in
- 51:33Speaker 2: i watched and that pretty much was what what.
- 51:35Speaker 19: Materialized if you remember when uh... the one speaker of
- 51:41Speaker 19: the house here in the state of ohio got kicked
- 51:43Speaker 19: out of his job and put in jail for what
- 51:46Speaker 19: he did good or companies they had a big fight
- 51:50Speaker 19: going on down in columbus over the fact that, A,
- 51:54Speaker 19: the Republicans wanted this one certain fella in there. And
- 51:58Speaker 19: the Democrats and some Republicans said, no, we don't want
- 52:02Speaker 19: that fella. We want this fella. And the conservative Republicans
- 52:06Speaker 19: jumped up and started screaming, Rhino. Finally, it got settled down,
- 52:10Speaker 19: and together, Democrats and Republicans came together and come up
- 52:17Speaker 19: with a solution that made everybody... Okay, and calm down.
- 52:21Speaker 2: Well, I think those days are over on most levels.
- 52:25Speaker 22: I don't think so.
- 52:26Speaker 2: Including on the federal level. I can't believe that. Well,
- 52:29Speaker 2: take a look. Take a look at party votes. Take
- 52:31Speaker 2: a look at the votes just on the property tax issues,
- 52:33Speaker 2: on lower property taxes. Pretty much fell down party lines.
- 52:39Speaker 2: I mean, I hate to say it. It's a different
- 52:44Speaker 2: dynamic today. In the sense of, how do I put it?
- 52:48Speaker 5: The.
- 52:50Speaker 2: The independent guys like your Jim Traficants, I'll just cite
- 52:54Speaker 2: him as an example, your independent thinkers of this is
- 52:59Speaker 2: a good idea, I'm going to support it, seem to
- 53:02Speaker 2: be a rare entity today to me. It seems like
- 53:05Speaker 2: there's a lot of intimidation that you vote with and
- 53:08Speaker 2: support the party members. It's almost like– and that's sad, actually.
- 53:15Speaker 2: I don't approve of it because I think if you're elected,
- 53:17Speaker 2: you should operate in what's in your constituents' best interest
- 53:23Speaker 2: from the party you were elected. A party is a philosophy. Republicans,
- 53:27Speaker 2: a philosophy. Democrats, a philosophy. You are an American. And
- 53:32Speaker 2: you should say, okay, if this is a good idea,
- 53:34Speaker 2: I should support it. Unfortunately, we don't see that happening
- 53:38Speaker 2: a lot. I mean, take a look at the most
- 53:42Speaker 2: simple thing.
- 53:44Speaker 19: To go against what you were saying or thinking, but
- 53:48Speaker 19: how many of these red states have got Democratic governors
- 53:54Speaker 19: in their house right now? The governors are Democrats in
- 53:59Speaker 19: a red state.
- 54:01Speaker 2: I don't know how many. I would think very few
- 54:03Speaker 2: in a red state, to be blunt with you. That's
- 54:04Speaker 2: why it's a red state.
- 54:06Speaker 19: I believe it's red states because they voted for Trump.
- 54:11Speaker 19: They voted for a Republican to be in office.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Well, I don't know that voting one time makes you
- 54:15Speaker 2: a red state. I think it's a series. Like Ohio,
- 54:19Speaker 2: they consider it to be a red state because its
- 54:22Speaker 2: power structure over the years has always been Republican majorities
- 54:25Speaker 2: over the years.
- 54:26Speaker 19: Yeah, you're right. You're right about that.
- 54:28Speaker 2: It's not just one time.
- 54:29Speaker 19: It's several times. Now we're in this tax thing, and
- 54:33Speaker 19: all of a sudden, if you look back in history,
- 54:36Speaker 19: since you and I are old fuds... Speak for.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Yourself, old-timer. Speak for yourself.
- 54:44Speaker 19: We cannot... You can't remember that most of the stuff
- 54:50Speaker 19: that was done in this state, as far as taxes go,
- 54:53Speaker 19: were done by the Republicans. They ran the state. And
- 54:59Speaker 19: look at what we're into now.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Well, I don't– listen, you've got to start with the
- 55:04Speaker 2: basic mentality. First of all, it's your money to begin
- 55:07Speaker 2: with that is the fruits of your labor. The question remains,
- 55:11Speaker 2: how much do you think governments should take from you?
- 55:14Speaker 2: It's not voluntary. How much should they take from you?
- 55:18Speaker 2: If you go back to my father's generation, the government
- 55:22Speaker 2: in totality, sales tax, property tax, might take at most 10%
- 55:27Speaker 2: to 12% of your total income. In other words, you
- 55:30Speaker 2: kept 88% to 90% of what you made. You took home. Well,
- 55:33Speaker 2: that certainly isn't the case for his children who, to
- 55:39Speaker 2: a large extent, maybe if you keep 60% of what
- 55:41Speaker 2: you make, you're lucky.
- 55:44Speaker 19: Here's what gathers me.
- 55:46Speaker 7: People.
- 55:47Speaker 19: And it bothers me. People are... One of the points
- 55:51Speaker 19: of insanity is doing something over and over and over
- 55:55Speaker 19: again and expecting different results. Our parents, if they didn't
- 55:59Speaker 19: like the person that was in there, whether it was
- 56:01Speaker 19: one of theirs or not, they voted them out.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Well, I think that still applies.
- 56:05Speaker 19: You don't have that.
- 56:07Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 56:07Speaker 19: You don't have that.
- 56:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 56:08Speaker 2: You think you do have that.
- 56:09Speaker 19: You go along the line and you let it go.
- 56:11Speaker 19: And them kind of people.
- 56:14Speaker 19: I have to say kind of irritate me somewhat.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Let me just put it this way to you.
- 56:19Speaker 19: You don't carry the responsibility of what happens in the aftermath.
- 56:23Speaker 2: I just want to make myself perfectly clear to you.
- 56:25Speaker 2: Like Tricky Dick Nixon. I want to make this perfectly clear.
- 56:28Speaker 19: That you're the only one that can make a decision
- 56:29Speaker 19: because you're the president of the United States and you
- 56:31Speaker 19: can do whatever you want?
- 56:32Speaker 2: Well, even that. I mean, the president of the United
- 56:35Speaker 2: States is not a king. There's still check-in balances. There's
- 56:38Speaker 2: Congress and the Senate. A lot of times you can
- 56:40Speaker 2: see that things don't get accomplished because they can't overcome–
- 56:44Speaker 2: they don't have enough support for it. But I go
- 56:47Speaker 2: back to say this. I cannot support the Democrat Party
- 56:50Speaker 2: because I vehemently disagree with their party's philosophy. I don't
- 56:55Speaker 2: agree with what the party stands for. You are old
- 56:58Speaker 2: enough to remember, as I was when I was a
- 57:00Speaker 2: young man, the Democrat Party was viewed as a party
- 57:02Speaker 2: of the working man and unions, and the Republican Party
- 57:06Speaker 2: was viewed as the party of the elite and the
- 57:08Speaker 2: rich people. That has changed dramatically. To where the Democrat
- 57:14Speaker 2: Party became the party of basically supporting oddballs and strange stuff.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Gay marriage, transgenderism, illegals. open borders.
- 57:24Speaker 19: I want to marry a guy that let them. If
- 57:26Speaker 19: a guy wants to marry a guy, that's their problem.
- 57:29Speaker 19: It ain't mine, and don't make it mine.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Guess what? They want to make it okay. But here's
- 57:35Speaker 2: the reality of all of that. The party has changed dramatically,
- 57:38Speaker 2: and the Republican Party has changed from a party of
- 57:41Speaker 2: the elite country club to the America First party. And
- 57:45Speaker 2: more of the working people type party. So these parties
- 57:48Speaker 2: have evolved and changed over the years. I cannot, do
- 57:52Speaker 2: not support the Democrat Party philosophy. I do not support
- 57:57Speaker 2: it at all. I will not vote for that philosophy
- 58:01Speaker 2: because it goes against my core values. I side more
- 58:04Speaker 2: with the Republican philosophy. And as a result of that,
- 58:08Speaker 2: I look more to the Republicans as far as people that...
- 58:13Speaker 2: I would vote for. That's because they share a similar philosophy.
- 58:17Speaker 2: I believe in America first. I believe in the Republican philosophy,
- 58:24Speaker 2: ideally smaller government, lower taxes, you being able to keep
- 58:29Speaker 2: more of your money, personal responsibility, that a man and
- 58:34Speaker 2: a woman is how we reproduce and that is what
- 58:36Speaker 2: is normal. We don't call mothers and fathers birthing parents
- 58:41Speaker 2: or any of this other nonsense. And you can make
- 58:43Speaker 2: that decision, too. I mean, this is a great thing
- 58:46Speaker 2: about freedom in this country. That's just my philosophy. You
- 58:49Speaker 2: can have a totally different one. It's okay. There's no
- 58:52Speaker 2: firing squad.
- 58:55Speaker 19: You and I are pretty much on the same page. Gene,
- 59:01Speaker 19: you don't realize it. You don't think of it because
- 59:03Speaker 19: I talk against it. You'd be surprised how much you
- 59:08Speaker 19: and I think on the same thing. Like these illegal aliens,
- 59:12Speaker 19: that should have never happened. That's done and over with now.
- 59:16Speaker 19: Now we've got to proceed on it and start to...
- 59:19Speaker 19: work on getting it out. I just don't like the
- 59:21Speaker 19: idea that these guys have these body cams. They shut
- 59:24Speaker 19: them off or don't even wear them. They got to
- 59:26Speaker 19: run around being totally hooded so you can't see who
- 59:29Speaker 19: it is. And they've been caught so many times doing
- 59:31Speaker 19: the wrong thing that if a police department did some
- 59:34Speaker 19: of the stuff they did, they'd be hauled in and
- 59:36Speaker 19: sued for millions.
- 59:37Speaker 2: And I said this before, and I would say it
- 59:39Speaker 2: to you again. I have no problem, in my opinion,
- 59:42Speaker 2: with ICE wearing uniforms like a cop does and having
- 59:46Speaker 2: a body camera. I have absolutely no problem with that
- 59:49Speaker 2: whatsoever if they would want to mandate that. They kind
- 59:52Speaker 2: of have a uniform, but I'm talking an actual uniform
- 59:55Speaker 2: like a patrol officer would wear. I think that that
- 59:57Speaker 2: would probably be better.
- 59:59Speaker 19: I don't care if they got a uniform. I couldn't
- 1:00:02Speaker 19: care less if they walked around naked with a gun
- 1:00:04Speaker 19: strapped on their head. But the fact of the matter
- 1:00:06Speaker 19: is there's rules and there's regulations. And these rules were
- 1:00:10Speaker 19: set up by both sides of the aisle.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Well, I agree with that.
- 1:00:13Speaker 19: And everybody had a fair chance of what they were
- 1:00:15Speaker 19: doing and what was going on. And now all of
- 1:00:18Speaker 19: a sudden it seems like it's You hear about it
- 1:00:21Speaker 19: all the time about how they're freewheeling whatever they want
- 1:00:23Speaker 19: to do.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: I don't know. I question that. For example, you had
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: this guy shot by ICE in New York that was
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: fleeing with a five-year-old in his car. Here in a
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: country illegally with a long violent criminal record, a violent
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: gang criminal record. We never hold the people accountable. He
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: had his son in his car. He was fleeing. He
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: didn't pull over. He didn't follow any of the commands.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: And he has a violent criminal history. So ultimately.
- 1:00:51Speaker 19: So that made it okay for that policeman to drive
- 1:00:53Speaker 19: up alongside of him and shoot through the window?
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:00:57Speaker 19: What are we back in the cowboy eras where you
- 1:01:01Speaker 19: just shoot and ask questions later?
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: They were trying to apprehend him in that situation. And
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: if you're asking me, do I shed any tears over
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: his death? I do not. I think he was a
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: piece of scum and good riddance to him because of
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: the harm that he did the time he was in
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: this country. And I think that they acted based on
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: their training the proper way. So I don't– I'm not
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: like the Democrats. I do not glorify criminals and vilify
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: the police.
- 1:01:29Speaker 19: There isn't so much the glorifying of criminals.
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: It is.
- 1:01:33Speaker 19: But the thing of it is you had that young
- 1:01:34Speaker 19: child in there. How would they know about it? He
- 1:01:37Speaker 19: didn't even care.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: No, they did not know about it. As became clear.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: But let me tell you, they didn't know he had it.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: But let me tell you who did know he had
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: that child in there. The guy, the guy driving. So
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: where's it? Where's the accountability for the father? All right.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: I think I've had just about enough of you today, Mr.
- 1:01:56Speaker 19: Okay, sir.
- 1:01:57Speaker 14: Love you.
- 1:01:58Speaker 19: Be careful.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: Calm down.
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: Breathe easy.
- 1:02:01Speaker 9: Breathe easy.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Thank you. See, he really does love me, I think.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: I think he's really concerned. That's a sigh of relief
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: that I'm expressing here today. 420 in the afternoon. What
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: a glorious. Hasn't this weather been just lovely? You're on
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: the air.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: Hello.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: Ron Verb, Kingdom of Mahoning. Hello.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Hello.
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: I hate to be a stick in the mud, but
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: I don't want to shift gears on you.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Yes, go ahead, old-timers. An old, familiar-sounding voice of the past.
- 1:02:33Speaker 17: Right.
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: I'd just like to inform you and your callers that
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: the Cleveland Clinic right now is in negotiation with Blue
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: Cross and Blue Shield, and it doesn't look good for
- 1:02:43Speaker 7: your coverage by the first.
- 1:02:45Speaker 27: Of the year.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: They cannot settle with Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cleveland Clinic.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Are you talking on Medicare?
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: Medicare Advantage. Any of those plans with Blue Cross and
- 1:03:01Speaker 7: Blue Shield. It's a shame.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: And that's why people always get upset with me. That's
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: why I say I will never be on Medicare Advantage.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I will always be on standard Medicare where you have
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: no networks, PPOs, HMOs, you don't have any of this nonsense.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Any of it doesn't exist when you get on standard Medicare.
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: And if you get on standard Medicare and you get
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: a Plan G, you pay your premiums and you will
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: be much better off. You don't have to get pre-approvals.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: You don't have to get pre-approvals. You don't need to
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: be within network. You have total freedom. If you're on
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: standard Medicare with a Plan G or Plan N, you.
- 1:03:44Speaker 14: Are not better.
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: So all the people who aren't, hold your breath until
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: November 7th and see what happens.
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of people don't understand. I hear this
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: all the time if they're on Medicare Advantage. Well, my
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: deductible is only $ 3, 500. Well, if you read it, your
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: deductible can go up to $ 9, 500. You know, from $ 3, 500.
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: I want no part of that.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: Thank you, old-timer. I'll be right back.
- 1:04:14Speaker 14: I Heart Radio.

- 1:05:20Speaker 2: That's because they got a $ 39 heating inspection.
- 1:05:23Speaker 15: From A to Z.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Hi there, this is Dan Rivers for San Pizzolo Homes.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: Weather and Talk Station 570 WKBN. How about that guy?
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: And I doubt, I'd be curious to see if it happens,
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: that one guy that called me about Bernie Marino, where
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: it says, you know, Bernie Marino released, let's see, a
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: game changer. He said, I've got to find it. Bernie
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Marino wants to have Trump accounts if you're 40 years
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: and below, not just for, toddlers, if you will, or babies.
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: He thinks that we should expand Trump accounts to people
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: 40 and below. I doubt that that will, I doubt
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: that that will happen, but not a bad idea, you know,
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: but I doubt that that will happen. But that guy
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: seemed to be concerned. It's about time we take, first
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: you got to get out of the debt and deficits.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: You got to get, that's going to destroy us. And
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: you've got to stop spending all this money helping everyone
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: else out in the world and crapping on your fellow citizens.
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: As I said to you before, I think we need
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: to bolster Social Security. I see that the cap went
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: up on what you pay Social Security. It's getting close to, what,
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: $ 193, 000 or something like that. There's arguments that have been
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: made for years where people say, well, the vast majority
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: of people pay Social Security on all of their income.
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: And why should it stop coming out once you make,
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: let's say, $ 190, 000? And then anything you make over that,
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: they stop taking Social Security out. People make the argument, well,
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: they should take it out of your entire income, even
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: if it's half a million or a million or whatever
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: it might be. And I think there's a fair argument.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: There's some changes people are talking about with Social Security,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: raising the cap like that and whatnot. Ways to fix
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Social Security. It's just without raising the retirement age. And
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: I'd like to see them do some more discussion about
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: that and deal with that problem, which is coming very quickly, seven,
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: eight years down the road. You're on air.
- 1:07:28Speaker 27: I'm going with the Browns. I'm going with the Bengals.
- 1:07:32Speaker 27: And I'm going for the Cavaliers. I'm going to go
- 1:07:36Speaker 27: three for three this weekend.
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: Well, you're putting it all on the line, aren't you?
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: I mean, really.
- 1:07:41Speaker 7: Yep.
- 1:07:42Speaker 27: I feel confident.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: I mean, Dick from Dayton, your entire reputation is riding
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: this weekend. Browns, Bengals, Cavaliers. I mean, you've got to
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: be a hell of a man to stand up and say,
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: I'm putting it all on the line. Here it is.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: All my chips are in.
- 1:07:58Speaker 27: Yeah, well, you know, I've won a little money once
- 1:08:02Speaker 27: in a while from Dave down the dial there. Well,
- 1:08:07Speaker 27: I won a little bit, and we bet a bet
- 1:08:09Speaker 27: I made a little bit of money on the Super
- 1:08:12Speaker 27: Bowl every year.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: How about that?
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Well, I'm happy. I hope it's, yeah. All right.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Have a good day. Thank you. You're on air.
- 1:08:27Speaker 22: The Dick and Dayton, another on-verb show, is prognosticator. I
- 1:08:33Speaker 22: thought it was funny when I heard the big game,
- 1:08:36Speaker 22: because I don't want to say Super Bowl and have
- 1:08:38Speaker 22: everybody sue me, but the big game this year will
- 1:08:41Speaker 22: be on February 14th on Valentine's Day. It's proving that,
- 1:08:47Speaker 22: as long as the Islamists, the NFL hates women. Yes.
- 1:08:52Speaker 22: You couldn't move it back a week, forward a week, something?
- 1:08:56Speaker 22: You had to put it on Valentine's Day? Really? Kind of.
- 1:09:00Speaker 22: But that's what they do. They do whatever they want.
- 1:09:03Speaker 22: And best of luck to the NFL in France.
- 1:09:07Speaker 9: This weekend, right?
- 1:09:08Speaker 22: Because that's a pleasant place to be. I mean, they
- 1:09:12Speaker 22: canceled all the events surrounding the game. The family fun
- 1:09:17Speaker 22: fest and everything was supposed to go on with it.
- 1:09:19Speaker 22: And why'd they do that, Ron?
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: Why'd they do what?
- 1:09:24Speaker 22: Why'd they cancel it all? Because of the protesting?
- 1:09:32Speaker 20: Because of the looting? Because of the.
- 1:09:35Speaker 22: Rioting in Paris?
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: What protesting, rioting, looting, and burning down age-old buildings are
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: you talking about?
- 1:09:44Speaker 22: It's a mostly peaceful protest.
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. I hardly noticed that there was any type
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: of violent protest going on. And are you saying that
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: a lot of this is the protest launched by people
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: that are new to the country that are destroying the
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: country's history that's been there forever and demanding that they
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: be given more free stuff? And are you saying these
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: are all all these people that they let in to
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: the country that are causing all this mayhem?
- 1:10:15Speaker 22: I'm saying that those people had a baby with Karl
- 1:10:19Speaker 22: Marx who said everything that exists deserves to perish. So
- 1:10:24Speaker 22: you've got the Islamists and the Marxists.
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: Stand by. Stand by.
- 1:10:27Speaker 14: News Radio 570 WKBN.
- 1:10:32Speaker 28: President Trump is doubling down on his support for a
- 1:10:34Speaker 28: campaign ad targeting Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton, despite criticism
- 1:10:39Speaker 28: from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. The ad features Acton's estranged
- 1:10:43Speaker 28: mother calling her a liar over allegations of child sexual
- 1:10:46Speaker 28: abuse by the mother's husband. Trump has called DeWine disloyal
- 1:10:50Speaker 28: to the Republican Party and says... He finds Acton's mother
- 1:10:54Speaker 28: very credible. And in the meantime, funeral services are set
- 1:10:57Speaker 28: for this coming Monday in Stowe for 61-year-old Sharon Dorn,
- 1:11:02Speaker 28: who was fatally shot at the Cuyahoga Falls Notorium last weekend.
- 1:11:06Speaker 28: Police say 63-year-old Craig Sippy is charged with aggravated murder
- 1:11:11Speaker 28: in what they describe as a domestic-related shooting. Sippy has
- 1:11:16Speaker 28: pleaded not guilty to the charges. I'm Brady Hopkins.

- 1:11:24Speaker 13: and sports radio.

- 1:11:28Speaker 14: Never sounded so good.
- 1:11:30Speaker 15: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 1:11:34Speaker 15: one-day baths.
- 1:11:35Speaker 23: Traffic pretty smooth on the highways this afternoon, all clear
- 1:11:39Speaker 23: on 680 from downtown Youngstown to the Ohio Turnpike. No
- 1:11:43Speaker 23: delays on 422 between downtown Youngstown and Newcastle. You are, however,
- 1:11:48Speaker 23: dealing with pockets of slow traffic on 224 between Route
- 1:11:52Speaker 23: 7 and 680.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: I'm Mike Ross from the Total Traffic Center. This report
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: is sponsored by Thompson Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning. You're
- 1:12:00Speaker 2: not just a homeowner.
- 1:12:01Speaker 14: Now, Ron Verb. On NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: All right, let's get back to it. Okay, go ahead.
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: Finish your stellar thoughts.
- 1:12:13Speaker 22: What's one of the things that you've heard the most?
- 1:12:20Speaker 22: glorious career there at WKDN. And I'm just going to
- 1:12:26Speaker 22: give it to you what it is. Ron, you get
- 1:12:29Speaker 22: that stupid news at the top of the hour. You
- 1:12:31Speaker 22: can't have ABC News. You can't have CBS Radio News.
- 1:12:35Speaker 22: You can't, right? So years and years and years and years,
- 1:12:40Speaker 22: and much to the chagrin of Dave Price, we get
- 1:12:44Speaker 22: Fox News finally, right? And Last night, their report is
- 1:12:52Speaker 22: on the earthquake. And what they say during their newscast is,
- 1:13:03Speaker 22: in the Tibet region of China, I almost fell out
- 1:13:08Speaker 22: of my chair.
- 1:13:08Speaker 20: I'm like, well, wait.
- 1:13:11Speaker 22: So, like, even Fox News has conceded that China can
- 1:13:17Speaker 22: just take over another country. It's okay, Myanmar used to
- 1:13:21Speaker 22: be Burma. It's okay, Tibet. Now it's the Tibetan region
- 1:13:25Speaker 22: of China. This is, in addition to the Marxists and
- 1:13:30Speaker 22: Islamists taking over everything everywhere, you get the Chinese doing
- 1:13:34Speaker 22: the same thing over there. And it's like, how are
- 1:13:39Speaker 22: we as a country, because we seem to be the
- 1:13:43Speaker 22: last bastion of Western civilization, right? Britain and France, right?
- 1:13:50Speaker 22: We saved their butts both a couple of times. And, yeah,
- 1:13:55Speaker 22: I guess they're just going down the tubes, not going
- 1:13:57Speaker 22: to say anything about it. And we're going to be
- 1:14:00Speaker 22: here by ourselves, and we're not going to have a
- 1:14:02Speaker 22: strong leader like President Trump or Trump. Some facet of
- 1:14:09Speaker 22: Republicans that'll do something about it. It barely floored me
- 1:14:16Speaker 22: last night when I heard that. Is the news bad
- 1:14:18Speaker 22: all the time? Is journalism dead? Of course it is.
- 1:14:22Speaker 22: You've got that Islam stuff in Michigan. Well, you know,
- 1:14:26Speaker 22: it's going to be a tough road to hoe with
- 1:14:30Speaker 22: voter intimidation. I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 1:14:34Speaker 7: It was the whole, you.
- 1:14:36Speaker 22: Can't show ID, women will never be able to vote
- 1:14:39Speaker 22: again because women can't find their birth certificate, therefore they
- 1:14:44Speaker 22: can't get an ID, therefore they can't vote. And no
- 1:14:49Speaker 22: journalist said, what the hell are you talking about? I
- 1:14:54Speaker 22: remember telling you, I called Mahoning County. I called Allegheny County.
- 1:14:59Speaker 22: I called Butler County. I called Monongalia County in West Virginia.
- 1:15:02Speaker 10: You know what they all said?
- 1:15:03Speaker 22: They all said the same thing because I posted questions
- 1:15:07Speaker 22: to them. Our daughter's getting married, and I'm scared that
- 1:15:11Speaker 22: she won't.
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: Be able to vote.
- 1:15:12Speaker 22: And they said, no, she'll be fine. And I said, well,
- 1:15:15Speaker 22: what do you have to do? You have to go
- 1:15:16Speaker 22: through this big, giant process. And they said, no, just
- 1:15:19Speaker 22: go online and check those boxes, and it'll get sent
- 1:15:22Speaker 22: to you. I said, no, but what about the whole
- 1:15:24Speaker 22: thing with the birth certificate, and she can't find this,
- 1:15:27Speaker 22: and she can never vote again? They said, well, that's
- 1:15:29Speaker 22: not a thing. Just go online and do it. And
- 1:15:33Speaker 22: I said, okay, a reporter can't do this? Jake has
- 1:15:37Speaker 22: to do it on his time. But it's like what
- 1:15:42Speaker 22: we're dealing with. You know, we could have predicted this
- 1:15:47Speaker 22: France thing years ago. Jewish people have been moving out
- 1:15:51Speaker 22: of France for 15, 20 years now because it's bad.
- 1:15:57Speaker 22: It was bad, and it's gotten worse. It's like anti-Semitism
- 1:16:01Speaker 22: is the canary in the coal mine. Look, if that
- 1:16:05Speaker 22: starts happening in your country, which is happening here, guess what?
- 1:16:09Speaker 22: Bad things to follow. So what the heck are we
- 1:16:12Speaker 22: going to do? Especially if we're sitting here.
- 1:16:15Speaker 20: Going, well, I don't know.
- 1:16:18Speaker 22: You know, Amy Acton's only a governor, but Sherrod Brown
- 1:16:23Speaker 22: has been a lackluster in his performance as, you know,
- 1:16:28Speaker 22: his lifetime in the Congress. And you go around the country,
- 1:16:32Speaker 22: you get that Islamist up there in Michigan, you get
- 1:16:35Speaker 22: that lunatic in Texas, Tallarico.
- 1:16:41Speaker 20: How do we get here?
- 1:16:43Speaker 22: And more importantly, how do we get out?
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go. Thanks. There you go, Jake. Thank you.
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: You're on air.
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: Hello.
- 1:16:54Speaker 20: Get out and vote, you patriot, conservative Republicans. We're being
- 1:17:00Speaker 20: invaded by the left-wing Islamic radicals, China, Russia, communists, whatever
- 1:17:08Speaker 20: you want to call them. We've been invaded. They just
- 1:17:11Speaker 20: destroyed the World War II Iwo Jima monument in D.C.
- 1:17:17Speaker 20: Some radical knocked the head off one of the soldiers
- 1:17:21Speaker 20: on that monument. I saw that when I was a kid.
- 1:17:23Speaker 20: One of the most impressive monuments in Washington, D.C., was
- 1:17:27Speaker 20: Abe Lincoln's monument. But in the 1960s, I can't believe
- 1:17:32Speaker 20: we are being attacked within. And they got to wake up.
- 1:17:36Speaker 20: And Amy Acton versus Vivek Ramaswamy, I'm still hanging on
- 1:17:42Speaker 20: with Vivek Ramaswamy. I think he got set up. Vivek
- 1:17:46Speaker 20: got set up. That's how these Democrats work. But I
- 1:17:52Speaker 20: will never vote for a Democrat.
- 1:17:55Speaker 27: Never.
- 1:17:56Speaker 20: And I don't think I ever did. But I will
- 1:17:59Speaker 20: absolutely not vote for a Democrat anymore. Wake up, America.
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: And listen to the wisdom coming out of Rock Creek, Ohio.
- 1:18:09Speaker 20: I got fired up with that news report of the
- 1:18:12Speaker 20: Iwo Jima monument.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: Have you been on the Greenway Trail lately?
- 1:18:17Speaker 20: No, no. I hang out at McDonald's.
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: Let me get this through. I just want to get
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: this in my head. So you get up in the morning.
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: Is this every morning, and you go to your neighborhood McDonald's?
- 1:18:32Speaker 20: Not every morning. I do my errands, and then I
- 1:18:36Speaker 20: stop in there.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: Now, this is the McDonald's located where?
- 1:18:43Speaker 20: Right on 90 and 45. Yeah, you can't miss us.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, this is it.
- 1:18:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:18:50Speaker 20: That little corner inside or sometimes we're outside, you can't
- 1:18:54Speaker 20: miss us.
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: And when you show up, do they just put their
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: heads down and go, oh, no.
- 1:19:00Speaker 20: No, I don't know, because I don't know what they
- 1:19:02Speaker 20: do when I'm not there.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Talk about you behind your back. Well, I know what
- 1:19:06Speaker 2: they do.
- 1:19:06Speaker 17: They do.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: Yes. So when you show up, it's you and a
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: bunch of old guys sitting around talking about everything and anything.
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: Is that correct? I mean, because this goes on in
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: like every McDonald's in the world. Somewhere along the line
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: when you get retired, when did this become? Well, you're retired,
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: so when you get up in the morning, you go
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: out and you hang out at McDonald's or wherever, Chick-fil-A,
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: and you sit around with a bunch of other old people,
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: and you just sit there and drink some coffee and
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: take up space and yak.
- 1:19:39Speaker 20: We talk about how great it used to be and
- 1:19:45Speaker 20: how troubled this country is.
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: Living in the past.
- 1:19:49Speaker 20: And we still never get anything done. And then other
- 1:19:53Speaker 20: guys come in and join us for a little bit.
- 1:19:56Speaker 20: Then their wives say, come on, honey, you don't want
- 1:19:59Speaker 20: to hang out with these guys. But, no, yeah. Hey,
- 1:20:04Speaker 20: we had a good guy in there this morning. He's
- 1:20:06Speaker 20: an inventor. He builds stuff. He was an electrician. He's retired.
- 1:20:11Speaker 20: But he was a welder. He's Americana. He's got these
- 1:20:16Speaker 20: horseshoe door knockers he showed us today. And his family
- 1:20:21Speaker 20: and friends, he takes orders from them.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: I want to make sure I get this straight.
- 1:20:27Speaker 20: He likes to do this stuff.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: You were there this morning looking at another man's knockers.
- 1:20:33Speaker 20: It's his door knockers. Yeah, the horseshoe door knockers. You
- 1:20:36Speaker 20: should see it. It's beautiful. Stainless steel material and a
- 1:20:42Speaker 20: real horseshoe. and with a railroad spike, and he created
- 1:20:47Speaker 20: a knocker. I told you, you've got to patent this.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: Well, let me ask you this.
- 1:20:52Speaker 20: I make enough of them now.
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: Did you think it was so good that you bought
- 1:20:56Speaker 2: one and put it on your door?
- 1:20:57Speaker 20: You know, after he left, I said, when he comes
- 1:21:00Speaker 20: back in, he comes in all the time, I said,
- 1:21:03Speaker 20: I'm going to see if I could buy one from
- 1:21:05Speaker 20: him because I want to put it on my house
- 1:21:09Speaker 20: because it's going to be 100 years old. This would
- 1:21:11Speaker 20: be perfect. monument before I passed that this guy, this
- 1:21:18Speaker 20: Americana guy that knows how to build stuff, make stuff.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: Now, this is at your shack in Rock Creek, Ohio, right?
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: How many square feet in that place?
- 1:21:31Speaker 20: About 1,300 square feet, a third of an acre. I
- 1:21:34Speaker 20: got about 50 foot of frontage. 1932 it was built.
- 1:21:42Speaker 20: By my granddad. With people that owed him money because
- 1:21:47Speaker 20: he had some other business.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: Have you updated it with your carpentry skills over the years?
- 1:21:52Speaker 20: Oh, absolutely. Every year there's something going on here, but
- 1:21:59Speaker 20: I'm running out of ideas. I think it's almost perfect now,
- 1:22:04Speaker 20: except I need someone to paint the house outside because
- 1:22:07Speaker 20: I can't climb a ladder too high anymore. Do you
- 1:22:10Speaker 20: still paint, Ron? Do you still climb ladders? Do you
- 1:22:15Speaker 20: still get on the roof?
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: Oh, I'll be up there this weekend, and I'll bring
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: a bucket of paint and a roller.
- 1:22:21Speaker 20: Ron, I don't think you've climbed a ladder since you
- 1:22:24Speaker 20: fell off the roof when you were fixing your roof
- 1:22:26Speaker 20: shingles on a single-story house.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: You know, I'm going to make sure I go up there,
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: and I make sure that no matter how jeopardized my
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: safety to paint Rock Creek Manor.
- 1:22:38Speaker 20: And you only fell off a single-story roof, and you
- 1:22:42Speaker 20: got injured. I mean, hey, I work with a guy.
- 1:22:46Speaker 20: He fell off a three-story house. He walked off the
- 1:22:49Speaker 20: end of the plank off the ladder, Jack, and he
- 1:22:54Speaker 20: landed like a cat. And he just got right back
- 1:22:57Speaker 20: up and climbed up. He was a rough guy. Oh, God.
- 1:23:01Speaker 20: He could never deny.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: That he did something stupid.
- 1:23:04Speaker 20: He just got right back up. I bet he was
- 1:23:07Speaker 20: sore for a week.
- 1:23:08Speaker 14: I bet.
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: I feel like I'm sitting at a McDonald's right now,
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: and it's early morning, listening to you babble on about
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: this stuff.
- 1:23:14Speaker 20: Well, when you work with a lot of construction guys,
- 1:23:17Speaker 20: you learn a lot of stories.
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: Do you buy anything at the McDonald's when you're sitting there?
- 1:23:22Speaker 10: No, no.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: So you're just taking up space. You don't even buy
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: a coffee.
- 1:23:27Speaker 20: I entertain the people that come in. That's my job.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: Don't you think you should buy, like, a breakfast or
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: a sandwich or something?
- 1:23:35Speaker 20: No. I get up. I have two cups of coffee
- 1:23:39Speaker 20: at 5 o'clock to 6 o'clock in the morning. I shower, shave,
- 1:23:43Speaker 20: and all that stuff. And then I go up there,
- 1:23:45Speaker 20: and I'm not in the mood to have anything until
- 1:23:49Speaker 20: about 11 or 12 o'clock in the morning. Wow.
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: Well, I didn't cook a beef brisket today, but.
- 1:23:59Speaker 20: I got to tell you guys how to cook a
- 1:24:01Speaker 20: beef brisket.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: Now, so your sister lives, what, next door to you
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: or somewhere like that?
- 1:24:07Speaker 20: Yeah, very close.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: So basically, you live on a family compound.
- 1:24:12Speaker 4: I love her.
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:24:14Speaker 20: It's my sister. I mean, what are you going to do?
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Is she married?
- 1:24:19Speaker 20: No, she lost her husband about five years ago now.
- 1:24:23Speaker 20: They had.
- 1:24:26Speaker 20: Two kids. Now they've got six grandkids. But yeah, they
- 1:24:31Speaker 20: lived a wonderful life. They married when they were barely
- 1:24:35Speaker 20: in their 20s. And I was observing all these young
- 1:24:42Speaker 20: people that got married at young ages and how they
- 1:24:45Speaker 20: got set in their lifestyle. And I just, I don't
- 1:24:52Speaker 20: think I want to be that. I want to be
- 1:24:56Speaker 20: like a free bird, a Mr. Breeze, you know.
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 1:25:03Speaker 20: But sometimes you wish you had somebody, but then I
- 1:25:11Speaker 20: wish they could go home, you know. I don't want
- 1:25:16Speaker 20: them to live here. I just want them to visit.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: Like a woman?
- 1:25:21Speaker 20: Yes, would you think I was a pet donkey or something,
- 1:25:26Speaker 20: or what?
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: Well, in this day and age, you never know. I mean,
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: anything goes anymore. It's a woke society. I didn't know
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: what you were talking about, maybe. So you're just looking
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: for a woman to come over and hang out and
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: then go home.
- 1:25:40Speaker 20: You know, I grew up, and my mom died when
- 1:25:48Speaker 20: I was six, and then I just had my dad
- 1:25:50Speaker 20: and my mom. And I learned to provide for ourselves.
- 1:25:55Speaker 20: I was part of the cooking operation, the dishwasher when
- 1:25:59Speaker 20: I was young. And I saw how simple it was
- 1:26:03Speaker 20: and how uncontrolled I can be without someone like a
- 1:26:10Speaker 20: mother controlling me and then becomes a wife controlling you.
- 1:26:16Speaker 20: It's a control thing, I think. I can't be controlled.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: No, you're definitely out of control. There's no question in
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: my mind. You're definitely out. Okay.
- 1:26:27Speaker 20: Well, I always try to psychoanalyze me, but.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: Oh, believe me, you're not the only one. I haven't
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: figured it out yet. I'm trying to analyze you, too,
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: and it's bewildering to me. I have 14 textbooks in
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: front of me, and I'm going through all the pages here,
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: and I can't even make sense of it. I need
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: an entire university psychology department to assist me in my
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: analysis of you.
- 1:26:49Speaker 22: You know.
- 1:26:51Speaker 20: I would like to know how Marie Bartiromo is doing
- 1:26:55Speaker 20: because I could relate to her, but I know she's married.
- 1:26:58Speaker 20: I think she's married with a rich guy, but I
- 1:27:02Speaker 20: see her on TV. Yeah, that's kind of the woman
- 1:27:05Speaker 20: I've always been searching for. She's independent. She doesn't need
- 1:27:10Speaker 20: me to provide for her, but she needs my love.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: I don't think she needs that either. I hope she's okay, though.
- 1:27:19Speaker 20: I haven't heard nothing about her.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Basically, you're thinking that, what, people who need people are
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: the luckiest people in the world?
- 1:27:27Speaker 20: You should write a song.
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: I think I'm going to. All right, have a good day.
- 1:27:30Speaker 2: You're on the air.
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: Ron, how are you doing, man?
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: I'm hanging in there. Thank you for asking.
- 1:27:37Speaker 4: Oh, gosh. I'm glad I'm doing the landscaping, not on
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: the roof. I just wanted to dive off of it
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: after that.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: Well, listen here. I'm just trying to get a deeper
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: understanding of what's going on in Rock Creek, Ohio. See,
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: when you probably get old and retired, you'll be sitting
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: at McDonald's in the morning talking to other old guys
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: about the good old days.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: No, I'm going to be too busy working, paying for
- 1:28:04Speaker 4: your Social Security.
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: You're going to be too busy working. I can't see you.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: Will you retire at 65, you think?
- 1:28:14Speaker 22: No.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: 70?
- 1:28:15Speaker 14: Well, who knows?
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: I'm not even thinking about it right now. My wife
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: is younger than me.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:28:23Speaker 4: Hold the fort here. How old are you?
- 1:28:25Speaker 19: 63.
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: How old?
- 1:28:25Speaker 6: 63.
- 1:28:25Speaker 5: 53?
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: No, 66.
- 1:28:27Speaker 29: 63.
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: 63. Okay. How old's your wife?
- 1:28:38Speaker 4: I was signing it to you. to you. 37.
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: Hang on a second.
- 1:28:45Speaker 8: Wait a minute.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: I've got to get a count.
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: She's 62, Ron.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Oh, okay. You no good dog, you. All right. You
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: had me going for a minute. Dirty pool by this caller.
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Stand by, Mike. Back with him in more than a minute.
- 1:29:03Speaker 9: Since 1973.
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: WKBN.
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: All right, let me go back to the world's greatest salesman, Mike.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: Okay, let me just reframe that. She looks 37.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: She's only a year younger than you.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: Yeah, but she looks 37.
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: See, I had this whole sleazy thing going on in
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: my head because you're the world's greatest salesman. I thought, oh,
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: so he was sitting in some hotel bar. She walked in. Oh, yeah.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: Magic happened and, you know, all that kind of stuff.
- 1:29:30Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: I'm just thinking.
- 1:29:33Speaker 19: All right.
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: Yeah, well, is that hurting? It's killing me.
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: Yeah, thinking? I'm doing some thanking. Okay.
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: So, Ron, you know, I hear all these so-called conservatives.
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: I don't even know what that means anymore. But, you know,
- 1:29:53Speaker 4: as you know, I'm interested in freedom and liberty. And
- 1:29:57Speaker 4: if you want to put a label on it, that's fine. But....
- 1:30:03Speaker 8: You know, people, and you even.
- 1:30:05Speaker 4: Get caught saying this, you know, we've got to get
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: something done. The government's got to get something done. Well,
- 1:30:11Speaker 4: you know what they've gotten done right now? $ 40 trillion plus,
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: you know, a couple hundred trillion dollars in unfunded liabilities.
- 1:30:20Speaker 4: So what more needs to be done in all reality?
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: Well, first and foremost, I mean, when you're taking a
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: look at the big picture, the country's got to– it's
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: got to stop spending. You've got to stop the bleeding first,
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: and then you have to take a look at all
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: of the wasteful spending that is going on. And I
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: would argue all foreign aid. I would argue all of
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: the programs that Musk was putting out there early on.
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: And these are the type of programs that you have
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: to curtail. I'm not against– You end that. I'm not
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: against programs even that are there for the benefit of
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: my fellow countrymen in the United States of America. I'm
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: not opposed, folks.
- 1:31:04Speaker 8: But are they the function? Are they the function of government?
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: Well, to a large extent, I think they are because
- 1:31:09Speaker 2: there's a serious problem. And government has solved a lot
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: of these problems, whether we like to admit or not.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: No, actually, Ron, I disagree with you on that point.
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: Government has created all of these problems.
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: For example, when you don't have any money left and
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: you're in a nursing home because you had a stroke
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: or a health issue and you can no longer pay,
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: that's where Medicaid comes in. If we didn't have Medicaid,
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: what are we going to do with that person? What
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: do we do?
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: The other day, you were talking about, I don't know
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: with who, but discussing how to hide your assets.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: Government isn't, yeah, that's true, too. Government isn't always the
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: enemy of everything. I mean, if you didn't have some regulations,
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: not all companies are ethical. They would be polluting your
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: drinking water and your land, and they've done it in
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: the past. Stand by. I'm going to get back to...
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: World's greatest salesman. I want to talk to him for
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: a bit after the break at 5. We're here until 6.
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: Ron Verb, Kingdom of Mahoney.
- 1:32:26Speaker 16: The president sounds optimistic on Lisa Brady. Fox News, at
- 1:32:29Speaker 16: his latest midterm rally in Florida, President Trump telling a
- 1:32:33Speaker 16: fired-up crowd Republicans have tremendous enthusiasm as Democrats keep slamming
- 1:32:38Speaker 16: gas prices and the conflict with Iran.
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: We're doing very well.
- 1:32:42Speaker 24: You have no idea how well we're doing with Iran.
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: Iran is finished.
- 1:32:47Speaker 16: Before he left for that rally, reporters asking the president...
- 1:32:51Speaker 16: What happens if Republicans lose control of Congress and there's gridlock?
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: Well, I think the Republicans are going to win.
- 1:32:57Speaker 24: But if there was, as you called it, gridlock, what
- 1:33:00Speaker 24: happens is I veto everything and then the Democrats come
- 1:33:03Speaker 24: and they want to make a deal.
- 1:33:04Speaker 27: So we'll work it out.
- 1:33:05Speaker 16: He's on a midterm blitz that includes Michigan on Sunday,
- 1:33:09Speaker 16: a day after former President Obama campaigns there. And another battleground, Ohio,
- 1:33:14Speaker 16: as early voting surges around the country. Ukrainian, Russian, and U.S.
- 1:33:18Speaker 16: negotiators reach a deal to provide humanitarian assistance in a
- 1:33:22Speaker 16: Russian-occupied town, Oleshky. with a localized ceasefire brokered by First
- 1:33:28Speaker 16: Lady Melania Trump.
- 1:33:29Speaker 24: What she wants to do is save children.
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: And that's her focus.
- 1:33:33Speaker 5: And both sides are cooperating with her.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: So doing a very good job.
- 1:33:37Speaker 16: President Trump, after the White House announced, the First Lady
- 1:33:40Speaker 16: had initiated discussions after learning about the town's situation at
- 1:33:44Speaker 16: an event she hosted during the U.N.
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: General Assembly.
- 1:33:47Speaker 16: The ceasefire is expected to begin Tuesday, two days before
- 1:33:51Speaker 16: the humanitarian mission begins. In North Carolina, a verdict just
- 1:33:54Speaker 16: reached in the killing of a college student 14 years ago.
- 1:33:58Speaker 16: Miguel Olivares just convicted of first-degree murder, rape, and other counts.
- 1:34:02Speaker 16: The victim, 19-year-old sophomore at the University of North Carolina
- 1:34:05Speaker 16: Chapel Hill, was beaten to death in her off-campus apartment.
- 1:34:08Speaker 16: Olivares was arrested nine years later after a DNA sample
- 1:34:12Speaker 16: provided for a DWI case matched evidence from.
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: The crime scene.
- 1:34:17Speaker 16: America is listening to Fox News.
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: You never know who might be taking the quiz.
- 1:34:28Speaker 14: Hey, everyone. I'm Nicole Polizzi. I'm Candace Cameron-Buray. It's Murr
- 1:34:32Speaker 14: from the TV show Impractical Jokers.
- 1:34:34Speaker 5: I'm Maxim Chmierkowski.
- 1:34:35Speaker 14: It's Nia Su. What is up, everyone? I'm Adam Richman.
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: I'm Jeff Foxworthy.
- 1:34:40Speaker 14: Hey, everyone.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: It's Tara Lawrence, NFL Hall of Famer, and it's time
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: to take the quiz.
- 1:34:44Speaker 18: Five questions in less than five minutes every day.
- 1:34:48Speaker 14: Listen and follow at thequiz.box. Thank you for taking the quiz. Hey,
- 1:34:54Speaker 14: it's Kennedy.

- 1:35:23Speaker 15: A to Z dependable services. Plumbing, septic, heating, cooling, and
- 1:35:27Speaker 15: one-day baths.
- 1:35:28Speaker 14: Now, Ron Verb. On News Radio 570, WKBN. Top secret
- 1:35:31Speaker 14: number as always, 330-729-9977.
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: 330-729-9977.
- 1:35:32Speaker 14: 505, Ron Verb from the Kingdom of Mahoning, 65 degrees.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: All right, Michael, go ahead and lay your thoughts out. Okay, so....
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: You know, if we look at the, you know, what
- 1:35:53Speaker 4: the federal government, you know, every dollar it takes in,
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: how much of that should actually be spent on, you know,
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: on legitimate programs? Maybe 20 or 30 percent?
- 1:36:07Speaker 2: It depends how you define legitimate programs.
- 1:36:12Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: So, and therein lies, you know, that's the problem. You know,
- 1:36:16Speaker 4: people have the ability to vote legally. for tyranny. And
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: in this country, we are. And not only that, but
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: we are, it's so tyrannical that what they are doing
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: is they are dropping a significant portion of what they
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: are spending on future generations.
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: And that's not fair, including the shackles from Social Security. Now,
- 1:36:47Speaker 4: I laid out a couple years ago, if.
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: If we didn't have this Social Security tax and people
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: would just invest that amount in good, sound investments, they
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: would be multi-millionaires. And they wouldn't need the federal government.
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: So I ask again, who benefits more from Social Security,
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: the recipient or the person or entity that's administering the programs?
- 1:37:20Speaker 4: And I think that's where we really miss it.
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: Well, no, I would say the recipient does.
- 1:37:24Speaker 4: Because I'm going to say one thing. You always talk
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: about personal responsibility, okay? But you always stop talking about
- 1:37:33Speaker 4: personal responsibility. You stop short of when somebody is talking
- 1:37:38Speaker 4: about their retirement. Everything about your retirement from your 401k
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: to to Roth IRAs, to pensions, to Social Security itself
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: is completely regulated by the government. And I don't ever hear,
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: I rarely hear somebody that, you know, some blue collar
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: person calling your show and say it's great.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: What's great?
- 1:38:06Speaker 4: Your response. That all of these regulated government programs are
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: working out.
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: Okay, my response to that is you can have extremes
- 1:38:14Speaker 2: on both sides. You can have too much government, too
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: much regulation, and you can have too little government and
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: too little regulation. One of the points I was trying
- 1:38:21Speaker 2: to make, and I'll get to Social Security momentarily, is
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: that all companies and citizens don't operate ethically. We've had
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: polluting of our streams.
- 1:38:30Speaker 19: Our land.
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: And in many cases, these companies just declared bankruptcy and
- 1:38:33Speaker 2: vanished and went away and were destroyed. never held accountable
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: or responsible or couldn't afford to clean up the mess
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: that they made, they left it to the government, whether
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: that's federal, state, or local government. So this idea that
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: you don't have any regulation is ridiculous. You need to
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: have regulation, including this radio station is regulated. If we
- 1:38:52Speaker 2: didn't change our pattern at sunset, because of the distance
- 1:38:56Speaker 2: of the signal, it would be colliding with other radio
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: stations all over, so it has to be regulated by
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: the government. At this time, you have to change your pattern.
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: So that so that there's not chaos, if you will,
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: for listeners in other states. So this is why you
- 1:39:12Speaker 2: have regulation. Some of it's good. Some of it can
- 1:39:15Speaker 2: go to an extreme. I happen to agree with Trump.
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: Remember when he said for every new regulation, we're going
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: to get rid of two or five or whatever. And
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: I think that's right. I do think that you can
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: overregulate as well. But I also believe you can underregulate.
- 1:39:28Speaker 2: We are at the point of overregulation in many cases.
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: Now to go to the economics that you're talking about next.
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: I totally agree with you that the out-of-control spending that
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: has been going on for decades, pretty much for as
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: long as I can remember, that the government being in
- 1:39:44Speaker 2: the hole, the numbers have always been cooked, and it's
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: a much bigger hole than they're presenting you. has been going,
- 1:39:50Speaker 2: we've been spending more than we've been taking in for
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: the longest period of time, and that's saddling, obviously, future
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: generations with the debt, and or it's going to destroy
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: the country financially and economically that can have a major
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: meltdown when it's not able to meet its obligations, which,
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: just as an example, as you've got such a large
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: debt that continues to grow by the trillions, and interest
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: rates going up, As I've said, the interest on a
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: debt alone is your second largest expense. Well, it can
- 1:40:23Speaker 2: very easily become your first largest expense, and you get
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: nothing from it other than paying interest, and you're not
- 1:40:29Speaker 2: lowering the debts. That's the fault of Democrats and Republicans
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: and politicians in general.
- 1:40:34Speaker 8: I agree with you.
- 1:40:37Speaker 4: I'm not going to blame one party.
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: Right, but I'm just shifting around on you. It's a
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: major problem. If you ask me, do I anticipate it
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: getting solved any time? I say it again to people.
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: I think the best chance you had of solving this
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: problem was with Elon Musk, and they destroyed the man.
- 1:40:53Speaker 2: I mean, they literally destroyed him, they being the Democrats.
- 1:40:57Speaker 2: They name-called him. They fought him every step of the way.
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: Then they went after him personally. They went after his
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: customers at his dealerships. They went after the dealerships and
- 1:41:07Speaker 2: firebombed them. They did everything they could do to run
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: his ass right out of Washington, D.C., and they were
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: successful at it as well. And I think that unless
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: you had somebody with that type of wealth and that
- 1:41:21Speaker 2: type of– knowledge now with AI, you can accomplish this.
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: And you saw what happened. These people said, no, we
- 1:41:28Speaker 2: want to continue to piss your money away on these
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: transgender programs in Vietnam and all this other stuff where
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: politically we hire a bunch of cronies, pay them big salaries,
- 1:41:38Speaker 2: they hire their friends, they give political contributions, and a
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: little bit of the money trickles to the so-called effect.
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: The fact that that was derailed, if you're asking me,
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: am I optimistic that that problem will ever be solved? No.
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: Do I think it will reach a point where the
- 1:41:53Speaker 2: crap hits the fan? Absolutely. Do I believe that sooner
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: than later? I do believe that that's sooner than later.
- 1:42:00Speaker 29: I would agree with that. It is going to be
- 1:42:02Speaker 29: sooner than later. With that being said, now I shift
- 1:42:05Speaker 29: to Social Security. When it comes to Social Security, there
- 1:42:08Speaker 29: is personal responsibility. And here's the personal responsibility. Social Security
- 1:42:13Speaker 29: is a program that you qualify for. It's an earned benefit.
- 1:42:16Speaker 29: You have to work. You start with that.
- 1:42:18Speaker 2: You have to pay into it so many quarters to
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: qualify for Social Security. And it's a considerable amount of time.
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: Your payout is based on your pay-in with the exception
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: there is a minimum on it. Your payout is based
- 1:42:32Speaker 2: on your pay-in. So we're talking about.
- 1:42:35Speaker 4: The mechanics of the program.
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: I'm not done yet. I'm not done. I'm saying it's
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: based on that. So there's personal responsibility on what type
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: of job you get, how much you make. That determines
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: how much Social Security ideally you get per month and
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: at the age that you take it. If you take
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: it at 62 or 70 or 66 or 67. So
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: there's some personal responsibility that has dramatic effects on how
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: much you get decisions that you make from what you do,
- 1:43:04Speaker 2: from your earnings, from when you take it. There's a
- 1:43:06Speaker 2: personal responsibility element in it, even though it's an earned benefit.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: Could you say.
- 1:43:12Speaker 8: It's a confiscated benefit?
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: Yes, it's a mandatory benefit.
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: You don't have a choice. I didn't have a choice.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: You didn't have a choice. Absolutely. I totally agree with that.
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: Now I'm going to go to, I don't have a
- 1:43:22Speaker 2: choice in my April 15th taxes either. But now if
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: I go one step further, I still think you have
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: a personal responsibility outside of that. As they make it clear,
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: this is a supplement. You also must save money. for
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: your own retirement, because unfortunately, pensions have become a thing
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: of the past, with the exception of public sector workers.
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: They usually have pensions, but outside of public sector, The
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: private sector, for the most part, does not offer pensions.
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: So that's when they switch to 401ks and company matching.
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: Some companies match. Some don't.
- 1:43:58Speaker 4: If you pass away, your wife gets the higher between
- 1:44:03Speaker 4: your social security.
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:44:06Speaker 4: But if you pass away and you didn't have social security,
- 1:44:11Speaker 4: you owned whatever asset it was, she would get 100%
- 1:44:14Speaker 4: of it. not essentially getting her retirement cut in half.
- 1:44:21Speaker 2: Well, no, that's true. She would get it. Social Security,
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: you could almost view it as an annuity to a
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: certain extent.
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: No, I view it as the government takes your money
- 1:44:32Speaker 4: now and spends it on what it wants. Well, no.
- 1:44:35Speaker 4: And then they put a— not in an investment.
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: I've had this discussion numerous times with you.
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: The government is the worst investment.
- 1:44:43Speaker 2: Well— I've had this discussion numerous times, and I go
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: back to say this. Everything that you can put on
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: paper can look great on paper, but I deal with
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: the reality. And I'm sorry, I do disagree with you
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: on this issue because the reality was all you have
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: to do is look at the situation senior citizens in
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: this country before there was Medicare and before there was
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: Social Security. And that is what.
- 1:45:07Speaker 4: Times are so different.
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: I don't even know if you can... Oh, I'm not
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: done yet. I don't think times are that different. I
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: do not think they're different. I think if you look
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: at the situation, we saw what happened and what situation
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: our elderly were in, both from a health standpoint and
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: from a retirement standpoint. That's what created... this program. And
- 1:45:26Speaker 2: I believe if you would eliminate it, like you propose,
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: you'd go right back to that. Secondly, we don't have,
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: we don't have people that are saying we have people
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: that don't have 500 to a thousand dollars, a significant
- 1:45:38Speaker 2: amount of Americans that put money aside because they lack
- 1:45:42Speaker 2: the ability to save for a major car repair. So is,
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: so when you look at statistics like that, this idea,
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: this idea that people are going to do this virtually one.
- 1:45:52Speaker 4: Hour out of your, an eight-hour workday. They're taking that
- 1:45:56Speaker 4: for Social Security. Right.
- 1:45:58Speaker 2: And as I said to you, all the money that
- 1:46:00Speaker 2: I paid in it over the years, the vast majority
- 1:46:02Speaker 2: of it went out to current retirees, whether that was my.
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: Either that or it went out to some government slush fund.
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: Well, Social Security... It did not have a surplus. Reagan
- 1:46:14Speaker 2: created the surplus for the baby boomers going through. The
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: surplus is restricted to not be in a stock market
- 1:46:20Speaker 2: because what if you need to draw on it and
- 1:46:22Speaker 2: the market is down? So you can only invest it
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: in what was always considered one of the safest investments,
- 1:46:28Speaker 2: which was T-bills, special T-bills.
- 1:46:30Speaker 8: Okay, why don't we just raise the rate of the T-bill.
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: Return so that it's returning 10%, 12%? Well, T-bill returns
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: are going up dramatically. Why don't we just make it
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: artificially go up to, say, 20%? Would that make Social
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: Security more solvent?
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: No, there's a marketplace in the time that the T-bills
- 1:46:51Speaker 2: were bought.
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: Okay. I understand.
- 1:46:53Speaker 8: I'm just trying to.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: So that's why you're restricted by putting it in the T-bills,
- 1:46:58Speaker 2: because they consider it to be a safe investment, and
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: then you can get the money when you need it. Theoretically,
- 1:47:05Speaker 2: once the baby boomer generation has gone through Social Security,
- 1:47:09Speaker 2: you shouldn't need a surplus... Because it should be a
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: pay-as-you-go system.
- 1:47:13Speaker 8: And that's still going to cost us.
- 1:47:17Speaker 4: Probably over $ 100 trillion. And that's going to be printed,
- 1:47:21Speaker 4: so that's.
- 1:47:22Speaker 8: Going to be inflationary.
- 1:47:23Speaker 2: I don't know that that applies to that.
- 1:47:24Speaker 4: Because you know damn well the government does not.
- 1:47:26Speaker 8: Have that kind of money laying around. They're going to either.
- 1:47:30Speaker 4: Print it or they've got to take it.
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: Well, I've got news for you. I'm in total disagreement.
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: I think Social Security, once again, is a good program.
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: I think the problems that were there before it certainly
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: would reemerge. I always use this example. It's like eliminating
- 1:47:43Speaker 2: the polio vaccine. Polio will come back. And if you
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: eliminate Social Security, the problems of the elderly will return
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: if you do not have Medicare. Oh, there's problems.
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: There's problems. There's people now that still go, do I
- 1:47:57Speaker 4: do I turn my heat up or do I buy
- 1:47:59Speaker 4: my prescription?
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: Oh, there's definitely problems like that.
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: It still happens.
- 1:48:02Speaker 2: But there's still personal responsibility. Make no mistake about it.
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: And unfortunately, you're always going to have middle class, rich
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: and poor. You're never going to change that. So that's capitalism,
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: and that's a great country that you can work on.
- 1:48:18Speaker 8: Yeah, it's quasi-capitalism.
- 1:48:20Speaker 4: Right now. We know it's not capitalism.
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: Well, and like I say, even outside of Medicare, with Medicaid,
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: it's a major problem if you have an elderly that
- 1:48:29Speaker 2: all their assets are gone and they have to remain
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: in a nursing home. Who is to pay? Well, that's
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: where a lot of the expense of Medicaid does go
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: for senior citizens that are in nursing homes with no
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: assets left. And it does go for that. And I
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: hope anybody listening doesn't have to go to a nursing
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: home because it's a god-awful existence. But no one knows
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: for sure what happens. And I say this to you
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: because my mother went to a nursing home, folks, for
- 1:48:58Speaker 2: a period of time because she had a major stroke.
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: And we paid for it. I mean, she had assets,
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: and we're blessed in that sense. But I'm going to
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: say at that time, it was every bit of $ 9, 000
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: or $ 10, 000 a month.
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: And I think if my mother would have known how
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: much it cost and what was taking place, she would
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: have got on a plane and flew to Oregon with Dr. Kevorkian.
- 1:49:29Speaker 4: I sincerely doubt that, Ron. It doesn't sound like she
- 1:49:31Speaker 4: was a woman like that.
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: Listen, I'm going to have to go in a second, but.
- 1:49:35Speaker 4: I do want to make one more point. Not a point.
- 1:49:37Speaker 2: That your wife is really 37? Oh, go ahead.
- 1:49:40Speaker 4: She looks 37. She looks 37. But I was just
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: talking to a colleague. And he sends his kids to
- 1:49:49Speaker 4: parochial schools. His daughter is in second grade. It's $ 6, 000
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: a year. And he does not, even though he's doing that,
- 1:50:03Speaker 4: he's choosing something other than the public school system. The
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: public school system still takes his money because there is
- 1:50:11Speaker 4: no competition.
- 1:50:15Speaker 2: That's a lot. It's a lot to me.
- 1:50:17Speaker 4: Oh, it's crazy.
- 1:50:18Speaker 2: Wait a minute. You just used the unknown caller's line.
- 1:50:20Speaker 2: What did you say to me?
- 1:50:22Speaker 31: I got to go.
- 1:50:24Speaker 4: Have a great weekend, bud.
- 1:50:25Speaker 2: I'd say, yeah. That unknown caller, everybody's stealing his line.
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: I got to go. You're on the air.
- 1:50:30Speaker 5: Hey, breaking news.
- 1:50:34Speaker 2: What is it?
- 1:50:34Speaker 9: Elon, Elon Omar, but that isn't a real name. He
- 1:50:38Speaker 9: just resigned last night from the, uh, from the, uh,
- 1:50:43Speaker 9: From Congress.
- 1:50:43Speaker 7: How about that?
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: She did not.
- 1:50:46Speaker 7: No, it's on the news right here.
- 1:50:48Speaker 2: Ilhan Omar speaks out. I don't know what news you're reading.
- 1:50:53Speaker 9: I'm just watching Fox. I just saw the headline.
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: Come on TV, Ron.
- 1:51:02Speaker 9: Anyhow, the other thing is Trump announced a new program
- 1:51:06Speaker 9: for fishermen.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: I didn't see that at all. Your time. I got
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: to check that out because that seems ridiculous to me.
- 1:51:14Speaker 9: Yeah, it's right there, right on Fox News. I mean,
- 1:51:17Speaker 9: The Five is doing it.
- 1:51:18Speaker 2: Anyhow. Yeah, but let me see. Let me go. Ilhan
- 1:51:24Speaker 2: Omar erupts at Trump as DOJ filing fuels questions about
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: her name. Doesn't say anything.
- 1:51:28Speaker 9: She resigned last night because when she took the fake,
- 1:51:34Speaker 9: you know when you put your hand on the Bible
- 1:51:37Speaker 9: and you become a congressperson? You can't give a fake name.
- 1:51:42Speaker 9: So my girlfriend over there, Judge Jeanine Pirro, busted her.
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: Yeah, but she didn't resign.
- 1:51:51Speaker 7: Yes, she did.
- 1:51:52Speaker 19: She left.
- 1:51:53Speaker 8: It's all over the news.
- 1:51:55Speaker 9: I was watching Trump's rally this afternoon on C-SPAN. And
- 1:51:59Speaker 9: they announced it right there.
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: I don't know what you heard. I'm reading here and
- 1:52:04Speaker 2: I don't... The media is a piece of garbage, Ron,
- 1:52:07Speaker 2: as far as I'm concerned. But anyhow.
- 1:52:10Speaker 9: Let me tell you something that's exciting. All these people that,
- 1:52:14Speaker 9: you know, that fish, Trump's helping them by.
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: She has not resigned. Trump calls for her to resign,
- 1:52:23Speaker 2: so what you said is inaccurate.
- 1:52:25Speaker 9: Okay, whatever.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: No, it's not whatever. You were dead ass wrong. Stand
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: by for a minute. I'll come right back to.
- 1:52:36Speaker 8: You.
- 1:52:38Speaker 26: This is a fraud alert.
- 1:52:40Speaker 32: Nobody likes getting ripped off, especially when it's your money.
- 1:52:44Speaker 32: Frank LaRose knows how to fight back. In Army Special
- 1:52:48Speaker 32: Forces Green Beret, Frank LaRose earned a Bronze Star serving
- 1:52:51Speaker 32: our country overseas. As Secretary of State, LaRose created an
- 1:52:56Speaker 32: election integrity unit to fight fraud and prosecute criminals who
- 1:53:00Speaker 32: try to steal your vote. Now, Frank LaRose is on
- 1:53:03Speaker 32: a new mission, protecting your tax dollars. As Auditor of State,
- 1:53:08Speaker 32: LaRose will hunt down government waste, root out fraud in
- 1:53:11Speaker 32: public programs, and when politicians steal from the people they serve,
- 1:53:15Speaker 32: Frank LaRose will lock them up. Because life already costs enough,
- 1:53:20Speaker 32: so government shouldn't make it worse. Endorsed by the hardworking
- 1:53:24Speaker 32: men and women of labor, the Fraternal Order of Police,
- 1:53:27Speaker 32: and the Ohio Society of CPAs. Frank LaRose for Auditor
- 1:53:31Speaker 32: of State. A battle-tested soldier fighting for a government you
- 1:53:35Speaker 32: can trust.
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: Paid for by LaRose for Ohio.
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: Hey, it's Ron Ferb. News, weather, and talk station. 570 WKBN.
- 1:53:43Speaker 1: All right, go ahead.
- 1:53:47Speaker 6: Anyhow.
- 1:53:49Speaker 7: R.K. Jr.
- 1:53:49Speaker 9: Was there at the rally and talked about taking regulations
- 1:53:53Speaker 9: off of fishermen here locally in America. And the fish
- 1:53:58Speaker 9: have to be designated American fish. So that way we
- 1:54:04Speaker 9: can not have to buy from Taiwan or anything like that.
- 1:54:08Speaker 9: And no hormones or nothing like that. Our fish is
- 1:54:12Speaker 9: going to taste great.
- 1:54:13Speaker 7: Mm-hmm.
- 1:54:15Speaker 9: Wait till you see that. That's another thing that he
- 1:54:17Speaker 9: just signed. So, I mean, he's doing stuff great every day,
- 1:54:22Speaker 9: but they hate him. I don't understand people. Personally, I
- 1:54:26Speaker 9: love the guy. Hey, listen, you listen to him.
- 1:54:28Speaker 20: That's me.
- 1:54:29Speaker 9: Like, I heard him speak today with the reporters when
- 1:54:33Speaker 9: he was getting on his helicopter.
- 1:54:34Speaker 10: I'm going, yeah, that's me. I would have said the
- 1:54:37Speaker 10: same thing.
- 1:54:37Speaker 9: You know, especially about... Amy Acton's mother saying stuff. She said, hey,
- 1:54:43Speaker 9: if my mother would say stuff, you'd have it all
- 1:54:45Speaker 9: over the news.
- 1:54:46Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, definitely. I'd love to talk to your mother
- 1:54:49Speaker 2: and analyze you. I think we would have a very
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: long discussion.
- 1:54:53Speaker 9: That's what Trump said. Trump said if his mother would
- 1:54:55Speaker 9: say something, the news would tear it up.
- 1:54:57Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 1:54:58Speaker 9: Yeah, and he said, you know, she said, Amy Acton's
- 1:55:04Speaker 9: a liar. He said, well, who would know more? Who
- 1:55:08Speaker 9: would know better?
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: Uh-huh.
- 1:55:11Speaker 9: Yeah, so anyhow, I just thought I'd share that with you.
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: Okay, well, thanks for sharing. I appreciate it. You're on air. Ron. Oh, geez.
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: It's the boss lady. Did you go bowling?
- 1:55:23Speaker 5: I had to get my butt kicked this week, man.
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: Did you go bowling Thursday? I did.
- 1:55:28Speaker 15: Uh-huh.
- 1:55:30Speaker 19: I did 120, 122.
- 1:55:31Speaker 33: I've been having a rough week, Ron. I travel, and
- 1:55:33Speaker 33: then I had– I've been getting called every name. Besides
- 1:55:43Speaker 33: a woman.
- 1:55:43Speaker 2: By who?
- 1:55:44Speaker 4: Some weirdos.
- 1:55:48Speaker 34: Because all I said, Ron, listen, you know, I'm a gentle,
- 1:55:53Speaker 34: very gentle, mild little lamb.
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:55:57Speaker 5: And all I said was.
- 1:55:59Speaker 34: Is that I don't care exactly what Ted said.
- 1:56:03Speaker 33: He's exactly, I don't, like all of it.
- 1:56:05Speaker 5: I don't care.
- 1:56:06Speaker 33: Like you said, I don't care. I don't care about
- 1:56:09Speaker 33: the ads. I don't care about this. They're all liars.
- 1:56:11Speaker 5: Honestly. I don't care about any of it.
- 1:56:14Speaker 19: Just who's the.
- 1:56:14Speaker 5: Best person for this?
- 1:56:16Speaker 33: I got called the C word, the B word, the
- 1:56:18Speaker 33: F word, the T word.
- 1:56:19Speaker 34: They were making up words.
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: And merely for expressing your opinion. Unbelievable.
- 1:56:26Speaker 33: Oh, for sure.
- 1:56:27Speaker 34: And then, you know, what's funny is, is you have
- 1:56:30Speaker 34: a posse that's strong, and you don't even know how
- 1:56:32Speaker 34: strong it is. People now are watching me in social
- 1:56:37Speaker 34: media and they're going, are you the boss lady?
- 1:56:40Speaker 33: Are you the boss lady? And I'll be like, oh,
- 1:56:42Speaker 33: I am.
- 1:56:43Speaker 34: And then your people, your people defend me.
- 1:56:48Speaker 33: They start defending me.
- 1:56:49Speaker 34: So if somebody says something mean to me, your people
- 1:56:55Speaker 34: come in and start You know, attacking them.
- 1:56:58Speaker 33: It's hilarious. You have a strong audience.
- 1:57:00Speaker 10: Those people stick together.
- 1:57:02Speaker 2: Well, listen, I mean, you're a strong independent woman. No,
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: you should be. You're out there and really trying to
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: say this is what I think is wrong. I mean,
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: no one's right 100% of the time, but you're certainly
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: entitled to your opinion, your views, your beliefs, and you
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: try to back them up with the best facts and
- 1:57:19Speaker 2: statistics you can. And so why should you be attacked
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: for any of that? I mean, if you want to
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: disagree with you, why don't you just disagree based on
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: the subject and factually why you disagree with it?
- 1:57:32Speaker 4: That's all.
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: That seems logical to me.
- 1:57:34Speaker 34: Oh, I know.
- 1:57:35Speaker 10: It's great.
- 1:57:36Speaker 33: One of your supporters, I think, had the best comment
- 1:57:39Speaker 33: of the day.
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: I just read it a little bit ago.
- 1:57:41Speaker 8: He said, I don't need an ad to tell me
- 1:57:43Speaker 8: that Amy.
- 1:57:44Speaker 33: Acton is a liar.
- 1:57:45Speaker 8: Like, you commented on one of my posts.
- 1:57:48Speaker 34: He said, I experienced it during COVID.
- 1:57:50Speaker 33: Like, the end.
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: That's it.
- 1:57:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:57:52Speaker 29: Right.
- 1:57:53Speaker 34: Like, I don't need all of this. I don't need
- 1:57:55Speaker 34: a flyer.
- 1:57:55Speaker 10: I don't need a pamphlet.
- 1:57:56Speaker 33: I don't need anyone to knock on my door. No
- 1:57:58Speaker 33: one has to sing a song. You don't have to
- 1:58:00Speaker 33: do a video. You don't have to bring her mom on.
- 1:58:03Speaker 33: Nobody has to tell me anything. At the end of
- 1:58:05Speaker 33: the day, that's it. We all experienced her.
- 1:58:09Speaker 34: I thought that was.
- 1:58:10Speaker 8: I was like, oh, that was pretty darn good.
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:58:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm in total agreement on that. I mean, the
- 1:58:17Speaker 2: ad means nothing to me. I mean, it just means nothing.
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: There's no way I'm going to vote for her or
- 1:58:23Speaker 2: Sherrod Brown. Stand by. It's a boss thing. She's had
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: a very tough week, folks, of just people going after her.
- 1:58:31Speaker 2: And she'll talk more.
- 1:58:33Speaker 14: News Radio 570 WKVN.
- 1:58:38Speaker 28: A hefty bond has been pinned on a suspect in
- 1:58:41Speaker 28: a murder outside of a Mayfield Heights restaurant.
- 1:58:44Speaker 31: 24-year-old Daywon Moten of Cleveland was arraigned Friday in Cuyahoga
- 1:58:48Speaker 31: County Common Police Court where he saw his bond set
- 1:58:51Speaker 31: at a million bucks. Moten is charged with fatally shooting
- 1:58:54Speaker 31: 45-year-old Al Rice outside the Piata Italian Street Food on
- 1:58:59Speaker 31: Mayfield Road October 2nd. Moten pleaded not guilty to a
- 1:59:03Speaker 31: pair of counts of murder and four counts of felonious assault.
- 1:59:06Speaker 31: He had a pretrial hearing set For November 2nd, I'm
- 1:59:09Speaker 31: Carmen Angelo.
- 1:59:10Speaker 28: And Brook Park Patrol Officer Frankie Smith was arrested earlier
- 1:59:13Speaker 28: this week in Lorain County. The 28-year-old patrol officer pleaded
- 1:59:17Speaker 28: not guilty to a number of charges including burglary, theft,
- 1:59:20Speaker 28: and DUI. According to an incident report, Officer Smith is
- 1:59:23Speaker 28: accused of breaking into a woman's home on Forest View
- 1:59:25Speaker 28: Drive in Columbia Township. He is jailed on a $ 242, 000 bond.
- 1:59:30Speaker 28: I'm Brady Hopkins.

- 1:59:48Speaker 14: Now, Ron Verb. On NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 1:59:55Speaker 35: All right.
- 1:59:56Speaker 2: She's just about at her wit's end, but luckily people
- 1:59:58Speaker 2: are coming to defend her. But see, this is the thing.
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: The future is the boss lady. The future is the
- 2:00:03Speaker 2: boss lady that's out there. And even with collaborating a
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: little bit with Richard Pharmacist on getting information out there
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: for people. I mean, I admire it. I think there's
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: no name calling. I admire it. There's no way in
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: hell I'll vote for that MRDD levy. If you do,
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: you should have your head examined. And you're fighting a
- 2:00:24Speaker 2: battle to say, people have no idea what this stuff
- 2:00:28Speaker 2: costs and the damage they're doing. I mean, I'm not
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: voting for MRDD at all. I mean, like I say,
- 2:00:36Speaker 2: save your powder for your police, fire, and ambulance and
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: road departments for your local services. Everything else you're going
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: to have to vote no on because it's out of control.
- 2:00:48Speaker 2: These levies are huge you're asking for on MRDD. For
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: people on the Canfield schools or on the MRDD levy
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: and this kind of stuff.
- 2:00:57Speaker 33: I really think the Canfield school one is going to fail.
- 2:01:00Speaker 18: I really do.
- 2:01:03Speaker 33: I'm not hearing much, I hope. And I am super nervous.
- 2:01:06Speaker 33: I've never been this nervous. And I know I've said
- 2:01:10Speaker 33: it for months that I think our county is purple
- 2:01:13Speaker 33: and not red.
- 2:01:14Speaker 2: Oh, I would agree with that.
- 2:01:15Speaker 30: It's 50-50.
- 2:01:15Speaker 33: I am nervous.
- 2:01:16Speaker 22: About the Vets.
- 2:01:17Speaker 21: I am.
- 2:01:18Speaker 33: Because these people are twisting this and running it. I mean,
- 2:01:22Speaker 33: they're driving it hard.
- 2:01:24Speaker 2: I just don't see any reason why she should be
- 2:01:27Speaker 2: the governor. I don't even think she's remotely qualified to
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: run the state.
- 2:01:31Speaker 5: No.
- 2:01:32Speaker 34: And he can't even come out.
- 2:01:35Speaker 33: I mean, there were police reports and all sorts of
- 2:01:37Speaker 33: stuff against.
- 2:01:38Speaker 17: Her, too.
- 2:01:39Speaker 10: Honestly.
- 2:01:40Speaker 33: Like, he can't even say any of that now. He's
- 2:01:42Speaker 33: kind of dead in the water.
- 2:01:43Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 2:01:44Speaker 33: All he can say is, why won't you debate me?
- 2:01:46Speaker 33: I mean, he can't even send any other message at
- 2:01:49Speaker 33: this point because.
- 2:01:51Speaker 2: Well, in all reality.
- 2:01:53Speaker 8: And DeWine is to blame.
- 2:01:54Speaker 10: What did DeWine do?
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: He created her.
- 2:01:56Speaker 33: You know, I was just talking to my friend Mark.
- 2:02:00Speaker 34: He called a press conference.
- 2:02:02Speaker 33: This guy called a press conference. All these people in
- 2:02:06Speaker 33: to talk about the ad, and he stirred up all
- 2:02:08Speaker 33: this drama.
- 2:02:09Speaker 10: DeWine did.
- 2:02:10Speaker 34: It was almost like it was, like, played. Like it
- 2:02:13Speaker 34: was a joke.
- 2:02:14Speaker 33: Like he was trying to go against Vivek without trying to.
- 2:02:18Speaker 34: He drew so much attention to.
- 2:02:19Speaker 33: This ad and asked him to take it down. What
- 2:02:23Speaker 33: do you think that that did to your Republican candidate,
- 2:02:26Speaker 33: you idiot?
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and think of this, Boss Lady. If Mark was
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: able to figure that out, and let's be, he's not
- 2:02:32Speaker 2: that bright, anybody could figure it out. Right.
- 2:02:38Speaker 7: But he's right.
- 2:02:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 2:02:40Speaker 5: Come on.
- 2:02:40Speaker 2: Come on.
- 2:02:41Speaker 8: I didn't catch you for that.
- 2:02:44Speaker 2: I know.
- 2:02:45Speaker 33: Like I did to you the other day.
- 2:02:47Speaker 8: And you still, you don't, you didn't.
- 2:02:49Speaker 3: I know.
- 2:02:49Speaker 9: I got you good.
- 2:02:50Speaker 5: That's it for sure.
- 2:02:50Speaker 2: Oh, my God. Honest to God. I was cleared down
- 2:02:53Speaker 2: 224 by West Boulevard when I was driving back to
- 2:02:56Speaker 2: Austin town. And I just was thinking, and then I
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: just started laughing. I just, that's how long. You just
- 2:03:02Speaker 2: got it. Yeah, I just got it. After the show,
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: I just said, damn it, she got the best of
- 2:03:09Speaker 2: me again. I cannot believe that two days in a row.
- 2:03:13Speaker 2: I felt totally defeated.
- 2:03:15Speaker 10: It's so funny.
- 2:03:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:03:17Speaker 33: That's hilarious. There's another guy. I made a post and
- 2:03:20Speaker 33: said something like, I would eat three pounds of undercooked
- 2:03:24Speaker 33: pork before I would vote for the MCB. I'm just
- 2:03:27Speaker 33: being funny, right?
- 2:03:28Speaker 27: Right.
- 2:03:28Speaker 33: I'd eat three pounds of undercooked pork.
- 2:03:31Speaker 5: Don't you see these idiots? Some guy said, how dare you?
- 2:03:37Speaker 33: My husband and I were crying. Another guy said, please,
- 2:03:41Speaker 33: eat it now.
- 2:03:41Speaker 7: Like, I was dying.
- 2:03:44Speaker 5: I mean, I'm like, dang, they want me dead.
- 2:03:46Speaker 7: Oh, God.
- 2:03:48Speaker 2: You know what? They don't have the courage to. These
- 2:03:54Speaker 2: men are weak to a strong, thinking, independent woman. They're
- 2:03:58Speaker 2: weak men.
- 2:04:00Speaker 33: Oh, I can't stand it.
- 2:04:03Speaker 2: All right. Enjoy the weekend.
- 2:04:04Speaker 8: Relax.
- 2:04:05Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:04:06Speaker 33: You know what, Ron?
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: I got to go. See, she did it again.
- 2:04:11Speaker 4: Hello?
- 2:04:13Speaker 14: Good evening, Ron.
- 2:04:14Speaker 7: How are you?
- 2:04:15Speaker 2: It's from the boss lady to the boss man. It's
- 2:04:18Speaker 2: G2 from the bunker.
- 2:04:20Speaker 3: That's right. Deep in the bunker on what was a
- 2:04:23Speaker 3: beautiful autumn day.
- 2:04:24Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. It's... Listen, I don't, I just, how am I,
- 2:04:29Speaker 2: it bewilders me. like I said, that anyone would, frankly,
- 2:04:34Speaker 2: that anyone would vote for any of these Democrats that
- 2:04:37Speaker 2: are just wacky. I mean, the fact that you have, like,
- 2:04:39Speaker 2: this woman that was the lieutenant governor to waltz running
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: for governor, and she was in the thick of that nonsense.
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: Why would anybody in their right mind vote for that corruption?
- 2:04:50Speaker 2: I look at this whole Elon Omar situation, when she says, well,
- 2:04:54Speaker 2: I can only tell you what is my truth. Well,
- 2:04:56Speaker 2: what the hell does that mean? And, I mean, she's so.
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: You know, where there's smoke, there's fire there.
- 2:05:05Speaker 4: Comments?
- 2:05:07Speaker 3: Yeah, she wants to tell you her truth, which is
- 2:05:09Speaker 3: the lie she would like you to think is true.
- 2:05:11Speaker 2: That's a good way to put it, yes.
- 2:05:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's all about definitions, you know. Look, DeWine, we've
- 2:05:20Speaker 3: been saying since the very earliest days of these campaigns
- 2:05:23Speaker 3: that DeWine would prefer Amy Acton to any Republican.
- 2:05:27Speaker 2: I believe that to be true.
- 2:05:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, she was his criminal co-conspirator before. during
- 2:05:32Speaker 3: the COVID days. And I know the folks that are
- 2:05:34Speaker 3: still thinking that the COVID thing was well handled or
- 2:05:36Speaker 3: confused by that. It's only because they haven't looked at
- 2:05:39Speaker 3: all the data we went through on this radio show
- 2:05:41Speaker 3: during the COVID disaster. You know, I remember the very
- 2:05:45Speaker 3: first press conference that those two did. At least the
- 2:05:48Speaker 3: first one I saw. And I think it was actually
- 2:05:50Speaker 3: the first one about COVID. It was DeWine and Acton.
- 2:05:54Speaker 3: And he sat there and said, well, I don't know
- 2:05:56Speaker 3: anything about numbers. You got to talk to the lady
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: in the white coat. And, you know, he was absolutely
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: avoiding telling us the lies that she was going to
- 2:06:04Speaker 3: be assigned to tell us. And then they got on
- 2:06:06Speaker 3: and said there were a million cases of COVID in Ohio,
- 2:06:09Speaker 3: and you should all be very, very afraid. So I
- 2:06:12Speaker 3: went and did the math. And on this show the
- 2:06:14Speaker 3: next day, I said, well, that means Ohio's 53 or
- 2:06:17Speaker 3: 55 times worse than South Korea, which, of course, is
- 2:06:21Speaker 3: adjacent to China. It was preposterous. The numbers they were
- 2:06:25Speaker 3: throwing out were utterly ridiculous. But she fulfilled her obligation,
- 2:06:29Speaker 3: which was to terrify the people into giving up their businesses,
- 2:06:33Speaker 3: into harming their children by taking them out of school,
- 2:06:37Speaker 3: into taking an injection that was obviously not proven to
- 2:06:41Speaker 3: be safe and has since claimed many, many lives, you know,
- 2:06:45Speaker 3: she fulfilled her obligation. And I think the burden of
- 2:06:48Speaker 3: that obligation became too heavy, and that's why at the
- 2:06:51Speaker 3: end she sort of, you know, went into a fetal position.
- 2:06:53Speaker 3: But the.
- 2:06:56Speaker 3: Willingness she had to pretend that she was a medical expert. Oh,
- 2:06:59Speaker 3: but she's a doctor. She was a grant writer. If
- 2:07:03Speaker 3: I remember right, when we went back and looked at
- 2:07:05Speaker 3: her resume, she wasn't practicing on pay. She wasn't healing people.
- 2:07:09Speaker 3: She was figuring out how to manage government money to
- 2:07:13Speaker 3: get more of this crazy research going. Now, it's not
- 2:07:16Speaker 3: that all research in health care is bad, no. But
- 2:07:19Speaker 3: when we've got these health care grants going out to
- 2:07:22Speaker 3: figure out things, again, my favorite one I love to
- 2:07:24Speaker 3: use is Do bee stings on genitals hurt? Well, you know,
- 2:07:29Speaker 3: I could tell you the answer for more than for free. Right.
- 2:07:33Speaker 5: They just chew up all this money.
- 2:07:35Speaker 3: She was just part of the money laundering operation. Now,
- 2:07:38Speaker 3: having never run as far as I could tell any
- 2:07:40Speaker 3: significant organization, if I missed one, somebody's got to tell
- 2:07:43Speaker 3: me maybe I missed it. Having no leadership, he's never
- 2:07:46Speaker 3: been prepared for any kind of significant executive role. She's
- 2:07:50Speaker 3: now going to be a governor. That's preposterous. So then
- 2:07:54Speaker 3: this ad pops.
- 2:07:56Speaker 4: And look, here's the thing.
- 2:07:58Speaker 3: What her mother said is true. Remember when she was
- 2:08:01Speaker 3: at the Canfield Fair, and I was talking to somebody
- 2:08:03Speaker 3: who was there, and I said, well, she sounded drunk.
- 2:08:06Speaker 3: Was she drinking? They said, oh, no, no, she always
- 2:08:08Speaker 3: sounds drunk, drinking or not. I thought, well, so you're
- 2:08:12Speaker 3: saying she's Kamala Harris? Yes. This is a woman who
- 2:08:17Speaker 3: who was, at least what I saw, these clips at
- 2:08:20Speaker 3: this fair were ridiculous. And then this weird thing happens
- 2:08:23Speaker 3: where a guy comes up and says her name. Her
- 2:08:27Speaker 3: staff tackles him. They call the state police and handcuff him.
- 2:08:30Speaker 3: And they find out that he's got some weapons on him,
- 2:08:33Speaker 3: none of which were ever brandished. And, boy, that was
- 2:08:36Speaker 3: an awfully strange exchange right there, right? And I think,
- 2:08:40Speaker 3: if I remember correctly, Lynn Morrow had to come out
- 2:08:43Speaker 3: and have a– a press conference announcing that there were
- 2:08:47Speaker 3: no charges being filed because the guy hadn't broken any laws.
- 2:08:50Speaker 3: So was that just a rigged deal, another silly Democrat play?
- 2:08:54Speaker 3: I don't know. But here we go, one thing after
- 2:08:58Speaker 3: another that's distracting us from the fact that this woman
- 2:09:00Speaker 3: is completely unprepared and unqualified to be the governor of
- 2:09:04Speaker 3: a state. Unprepared, unqualified. She's the perfect Democrat candidate because
- 2:09:09Speaker 3: she'll do whatever they tell her to do, And she
- 2:09:13Speaker 3: doesn't seem to have, I mean, I've not spent a
- 2:09:14Speaker 3: lot of time listening to her because she seems quite silly,
- 2:09:17Speaker 3: but doesn't seem to have a particular grasp on policy.
- 2:09:21Speaker 3: So she is like Kamala Harris was, an empty vessel
- 2:09:25Speaker 3: you could pour into whatever nefarious and corrupt intent you want.
- 2:09:30Speaker 3: That's how I see this race. Now, on the other hand,
- 2:09:32Speaker 3: you've got Vivek Ramaswamy, a guy that obviously understands policy
- 2:09:36Speaker 3: because we've seen him argue it for years. He has
- 2:09:39Speaker 3: had leadership experiences. Biosciences may not be your gig, but
- 2:09:43Speaker 3: it is an industry. He's obviously able to do deals
- 2:09:47Speaker 3: because he did some pretty incredible deals as a very
- 2:09:49Speaker 3: young man. Now, when it comes to this idea that
- 2:09:53Speaker 3: he wants to grow the population of Ohio and he
- 2:09:55Speaker 3: wants H-1Bs, I disagree with him on those points. And
- 2:09:59Speaker 3: on those points, I would expect and I would pressure,
- 2:10:01Speaker 3: if I were a citizen of Ohio, I would pressure
- 2:10:05Speaker 3: the legislature. And I'm talking about Tex and all these
- 2:10:07Speaker 3: other guys over there. I would pressure them to stand
- 2:10:10Speaker 3: up to him and say, no, I don't care what
- 2:10:13Speaker 3: real estate developments and grant recipients want. We're not going
- 2:10:17Speaker 3: to put 4 million more people in Ohio or a
- 2:10:19Speaker 3: million more people in Ohio. We're just going to keep
- 2:10:22Speaker 3: Ohio working the way it should work. And what is
- 2:10:26Speaker 3: kind of a preposterous idea is that somehow, even though
- 2:10:29Speaker 3: people might disagree with every single point that Amy Acton has,
- 2:10:33Speaker 3: and she will also support being a dutiful Democrat, H-1Bs,
- 2:10:37Speaker 3: and mass migration that will transform the state into some
- 2:10:40Speaker 3: other world, She'll support that. If you think you disagree
- 2:10:44Speaker 3: with Vivek on immigration and you disagree with him on H-1Bs,
- 2:10:51Speaker 3: that's two things, kind of one almost. You disagree with
- 2:10:54Speaker 3: everything on her and you expect the legislature to take
- 2:10:56Speaker 3: her on? I'll tell you this. You put the reins
- 2:10:59Speaker 3: of power into the hands of that woman and you
- 2:11:01Speaker 3: will begin to see immediately the transformation of the state.
- 2:11:04Speaker 3: You know, DeWine had a particular affinity for Haitians, right?
- 2:11:08Speaker 3: We know that. He spends a lot of time in Haiti.
- 2:11:10Speaker 3: What do you have in Springfield? Well, you had Haitians.
- 2:11:12Speaker 3: Not many of them have gone home, we're told. But
- 2:11:15Speaker 3: you had Haitians. And you had a company down there,
- 2:11:17Speaker 3: if we did the math right, I think it was
- 2:11:18Speaker 3: making $ 80 million, howling them around, getting a fee for
- 2:11:21Speaker 3: every hour they worked, because, you know, they were working
- 2:11:23Speaker 3: in a body shop. They weren't direct employees. You know,
- 2:11:26Speaker 3: putting in housing. Tens of millions of dollars of profit
- 2:11:30Speaker 3: generated from those Haitians. Want more of that? All right, well,
- 2:11:33Speaker 3: put a woman like her in charge. You put Vivek
- 2:11:36Speaker 3: in charge, you're going to have to watch the migration issue.
- 2:11:39Speaker 3: You're going to have to watch him on the H-1B.
- 2:11:41Speaker 7: Fair.
- 2:11:42Speaker 3: I don't expect people to agree with every single point
- 2:11:44Speaker 3: I have. Well, I kind of do. But they don't
- 2:11:48Speaker 3: always do it. And sometimes I have to work with
- 2:11:50Speaker 3: them anyway. And that's the way I think the state
- 2:11:52Speaker 3: has to work with Vivek. If you disagree on those points, fine.
- 2:11:55Speaker 3: Count on your legislature. Do not go off the job, though.
- 2:11:58Speaker 3: You'll have to be a vigilant citizen no matter who's elected.
- 2:12:02Speaker 3: to keep that government going the right direction. So, yeah,
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: I think it's a fascinating case. The fact that this
- 2:12:08Speaker 3: ad came out and they actually used her mother's own words,
- 2:12:12Speaker 3: which I happen to agree with having listened to her speak.
- 2:12:17Speaker 3: The Democrats make it up. Do you remember a few
- 2:12:19Speaker 3: years ago when they made up an ad, the Democrats did,
- 2:12:22Speaker 3: against a Republican and showed him driving down the street
- 2:12:25Speaker 3: in a pickup truck trying to run over children who
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: were browned? They faked it. This guy wasn't a predator.
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: They spent huge amounts of money characterizing this Republican, who
- 2:12:36Speaker 3: was a good candidate, great candidate, actually, characterizing him as
- 2:12:39Speaker 3: a predator of children. Now, you want me to believe
- 2:12:43Speaker 3: that playing her mother's actual words is somehow nefarious, but
- 2:12:47Speaker 3: what the Democrats do is fine? I'm just tired of
- 2:12:50Speaker 3: these fake moral outrages, including those that come from Mike DeWine.
- 2:12:55Speaker 3: And frankly, I would have liked to have seen him
- 2:12:57Speaker 3: just resign the office about three years ago. That would
- 2:12:59Speaker 3: have been just fine with me. So, you know, I
- 2:13:03Speaker 3: think this is now down to the final stretch. And
- 2:13:07Speaker 3: if you do not want to see the kind of
- 2:13:10Speaker 3: crazy policies that were put in place during the Obama administration,
- 2:13:15Speaker 3: during the Biden administration, if you want to see jobs
- 2:13:20Speaker 3: returning the way they did in 17, 18, and 19,
- 2:13:21Speaker 3: the way they I think are doing now. We'll see
- 2:13:25Speaker 3: how this goes because it's hard to separate out some
- 2:13:27Speaker 3: of the big project development jobs. They're going just billions
- 2:13:30Speaker 3: of dollars being spent building new projects across the country
- 2:13:33Speaker 3: right now from real ongoing employment increase. It's just hard
- 2:13:38Speaker 3: to sort them out right now. But if you want
- 2:13:41Speaker 3: to see that same kind of activity that we had
- 2:13:43Speaker 3: in 17, 18, and 19, then you're going to have
- 2:13:46Speaker 3: to block the hardcore Marxist shared browns, And you're going
- 2:13:52Speaker 3: to have to block Amy Acton, and then you're going
- 2:13:54Speaker 3: to have to spend the next couple years paying a
- 2:13:57Speaker 3: little more attention and maybe making a phone call to
- 2:13:59Speaker 3: your legislature, to your congressman once in a while and saying, hey,
- 2:14:02Speaker 3: this is the policy I want to see implemented. And
- 2:14:06Speaker 3: I have proven that when you get groups of people
- 2:14:09Speaker 3: to call the government, it has an impact. They will
- 2:14:12Speaker 3: change policy if they think you're watching.
- 2:14:15Speaker 4: So.
- 2:14:17Speaker 3: So, yeah, let's see what happens. But, look, I would
- 2:14:19Speaker 3: play this ad all day every day and let her
- 2:14:22Speaker 3: mother tell the story.
- 2:14:25Speaker 2: So you'd stick with it when everybody's saying he better
- 2:14:27Speaker 2: get rid of it.
- 2:14:29Speaker 3: Absolutely. Yeah, and who's everybody? I mean, you know, what, NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC?
- 2:14:36Speaker 3: You mean the Democrat Party's news media is saying get
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: rid of it? And Mike DeWine, who, you know, again,
- 2:14:42Speaker 3: I haven't been a fan of in a very long time.
- 2:14:44Speaker 3: What do I care what they say? You know who
- 2:14:46Speaker 3: I care about? Voters. Every time they run an article
- 2:14:49Speaker 3: talking about how wrong it is to admit that Amy Atkins'
- 2:14:52Speaker 3: mother doesn't think she tells the truth, they're once again
- 2:14:55Speaker 3: saying that Amy Atkins' mother doesn't think she tells the truth.
- 2:14:58Speaker 3: All right, I'd live with that.
- 2:15:02Speaker 2: It's pretty powerful when it's your mother saying that, right?
- 2:15:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and all their family have troubles. Look, all families
- 2:15:07Speaker 3: have troubles. I don't know exactly what this background is,
- 2:15:10Speaker 3: but the more time they spend talking about that, the
- 2:15:13Speaker 3: worse it is. I don't think people are going to
- 2:15:14Speaker 3: vote for her because an ad that they didn't like
- 2:15:18Speaker 3: ran by the other side. She can't even explain in
- 2:15:22Speaker 3: a cogent manner how she would be beneficial to the state. So,
- 2:15:27Speaker 3: you know, but I understand that we as a people,
- 2:15:30Speaker 3: the American people, are not as informed as we should be.
- 2:15:33Speaker 3: We vote emotionally. We vote, in some cases, inexplicably. And
- 2:15:39Speaker 3: so I could see people saying, Oh, yeah, Sherrod Brown's
- 2:15:42Speaker 3: going to come in and reverse everything he did in
- 2:15:44Speaker 3: 30 years. It's really a stroke of marketing genius for
- 2:15:48Speaker 3: him to put up those yellow billboards in Youngstown saying,
- 2:15:52Speaker 3: I promise to fix every problem I made. You look
- 2:15:54Speaker 3: at the problems on those billboards. He was in the
- 2:15:56Speaker 3: Senate for 30 years. He set the entire machine in motion.
- 2:16:00Speaker 3: He was part of the machine that created the debts
- 2:16:03Speaker 3: and the deficits that had the wars going on. that
- 2:16:06Speaker 3: exported all of our jobs and imported huge numbers of workers.
- 2:16:10Speaker 3: While the jobs were going out one door, they brought
- 2:16:12Speaker 3: in millions of workers the other door, driving down wages.
- 2:16:15Speaker 3: And he stood there and said, I stand for the worker.
- 2:16:18Speaker 3: The worker's my guy.
- 2:16:19Speaker 20: Yeah?
- 2:16:21Speaker 3: Why didn't you stand on the border with a firearm
- 2:16:23Speaker 3: and defend the nation then? He undermined the people in
- 2:16:27Speaker 3: the Mahoning Valley and now says on his billboards, I'm
- 2:16:31Speaker 3: going to fix everything that I did <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 2:17:02Speaker 3: I don't want to see Karl Marx in the Senate,
- 2:17:04Speaker 3: and I don't want to see James Tallarico in the Senate.
- 2:17:07Speaker 3: I mean, we are seeing such radical, crazy kinds of
- 2:17:13Speaker 3: candidates now. And you've just got to hope that the
- 2:17:16Speaker 3: American people are thoughtful and spend, you know, a few
- 2:17:22Speaker 3: seconds thinking before they vote. And there are candidates I
- 2:17:26Speaker 3: don't like that I would now vote for.
- 2:17:28Speaker 2: All right, stand by. G2 wraps it up for this Friday. 552,
- 2:17:32Speaker 2: Ron Furb from the Kingdom of Mahoning, 63 degrees. Good
- 2:17:35Speaker 2: to be with you. Hi, it's Ron Furb. I love fall,
- 2:17:40Speaker 2: but we all know.
- 2:17:40Speaker 15: All right, so with G2.
- 2:17:42Speaker 2: Let's see what awaits us here. You're on the air.
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: I lost him. Wait a minute. Hang on a minute.
- 2:17:48Speaker 17: Hey, G2.
- 2:17:49Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 2:17:49Speaker 3: Hang on.
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: Hang on.
- 2:17:50Speaker 4: My hero.
- 2:17:51Speaker 8: Wait a minute.
- 2:17:52Speaker 2: I lost him. G2, are you there? I lost G2. Okay,
- 2:17:56Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 2:17:58Speaker 9: Hey, G2.
- 2:18:00Speaker 10: Jeff here, and I appreciate what you're telling because it's
- 2:18:04Speaker 10: the absolute truth. I think that the Canfield Fair incident
- 2:18:11Speaker 10: and this particular incident was actually put together for the
- 2:18:20Speaker 10: fact that she has never, ever come out and.
- 2:18:24Speaker 35: Defended herself in a debate, and never, ever has there
- 2:18:29Speaker 35: been anybody that has said that they were pushed over
- 2:18:35Speaker 35: or hurt or.
- 2:18:36Speaker 10: Attacked at Canfield Fair. I think these were the things
- 2:18:40Speaker 10: she was going to use to take the place of her,
- 2:18:43Speaker 10: not debating, and get all this together for her sympathy
- 2:18:50Speaker 10: with these calls. What do you think?
- 2:18:54Speaker 2: I lost my connection with G2. Let me see if
- 2:18:56Speaker 2: he's there. Hang on a minute.
- 2:18:57Speaker 3: Are you there? Yeah, I'm here. I think you're right.
- 2:19:01Speaker 3: That Canfield Fair thing was going to be a great distraction.
- 2:19:04Speaker 3: from the fact that she doesn't know policy.
- 2:19:08Speaker 9: Absolutely.
- 2:19:11Speaker 2: Is that it? That's all you got, Jeff?
- 2:19:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 2:19:14Speaker 2: That's the best you can do?
- 2:19:15Speaker 19: No, you hung up on me.
- 2:19:16Speaker 2: I didn't hang up on you.
- 2:19:19Speaker 8: No, I didn't know.
- 2:19:21Speaker 10: Anyway, yes, yes, I'll leave it alone for somebody else
- 2:19:25Speaker 10: to try to get a quick one in. But, no,
- 2:19:27Speaker 10: she is. She is taking the funk here.
- 2:19:31Speaker 2: Well, in all the polling, if you believe the polling,
- 2:19:34Speaker 2: it shows her and Sherrod Brown winning, and it's a
- 2:19:37Speaker 2: sad day for Ohio, if that's the case. I don't
- 2:19:41Speaker 2: believe the poll at all. I hope you're right.
- 2:19:43Speaker 10: I do, too.
- 2:19:46Speaker 2: I mean, you know, I realize most of your life
- 2:19:48Speaker 2: you've been wrong, but this time I hope you're right.
- 2:19:51Speaker 10: No, sir. You know I haven't been from the time
- 2:19:55Speaker 10: of the.
- 2:19:58Speaker 2: Well, wait a minute. Did God strike your house with lightning?
- 2:20:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:20:11Speaker 2: And it blew out your wiring and everything, see? So
- 2:20:14Speaker 2: that's a sign from God. You better mend your evil ways.
- 2:20:19Speaker 2: Thank you, Jeff. All right, G2, have a wonderful weekend.
- 2:20:22Speaker 2: Enjoy this beautiful weather that we're having. Election Day is
- 2:20:26Speaker 2: right around the corner.
- 2:20:28Speaker 3: We'll talk next week.
- 2:20:29Speaker 2: Thank you, G2. Ron Furb from the Kingdom of Mahoning,
- 2:20:33Speaker 2: you have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for tuning in. Keep
- 2:20:35Speaker 2: it here. Sean Hannity's next.
