Payments are staggered by birthdate, with earlier batches already sent to those born 1–10 (July 8) and 11–20 (July 15). If you started collecting before May 1997 or receive both Social Security and SSI, your check hits the first of the month—SSI recipients even got their August payment early on July 31.
