- 0:33Speaker 3: A woman was pumping gas on an extremely hot day.
- 0:39Speaker 3: As she pulled the gas nozzle from her car, some
- 0:43Speaker 3: splashed on her arm, and a random spark ignited the gas.
- 0:48Speaker 3: As her arm was flaming away, she called for help
- 0:53Speaker 3: to have someone try to quench the fire before it
- 0:56Speaker 3: grew too hot and too high. To her luck, a
- 1:00Speaker 3: couple of police officers walked out from inside the gas
- 1:04Speaker 3: station and immediately they ran over to her. As she
- 1:08Speaker 3: pleaded for help, they approached her and immediately arrested her
- 1:13Speaker 3: for unlawfully waving a firearm. Hello, and welcome to this
- 1:24Speaker 3: week's podcast. Today, we're talking about something we all deal with, negativity.
- 1:31Speaker 3: It's everywhere in the news, on social media, in random
- 1:35Speaker 3: conversations we didn't ever ask to be a part of.
- 1:40Speaker 3: But just because it's around us doesn't mean we have
- 1:44Speaker 3: to let it in. This episode is all about holding
- 1:47Speaker 3: your ground, protecting your peace, and not letting the negative
- 1:52Speaker 3: energy make itself at home in your head. But before
- 1:56Speaker 3: we get into all that, we have our trivia question
- 1:59Speaker 3: of the day. Are you ready for it?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Here?
- 2:02Speaker 3: It is what us bill has the shortest average lifespan
- 2:08Speaker 3: in circulation. We will have the answer when we come back.

- 3:57Speaker 4: happy reading.
- 4:04Speaker 3: Do you know the answer to this week's trivia question?
- 4:08Speaker 3: The question was what US bill has the shortest average
- 4:12Speaker 3: lifespan in circulation. The answer surprisingly the ten dollars bill,
- 4:19Speaker 3: which typically lasts about four and a half years before
- 4:23Speaker 3: it's too worn out and needs to be replaced. Because
- 4:28Speaker 3: smaller denominations like the ten dollar bill are used more
- 4:31Speaker 3: frequently in everyday transactions, they tend to wear out faster
- 4:36Speaker 3: than high value bills like the fifty or the one hundred,
- 4:40Speaker 3: which tend to be used less and often are stored away.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Now you know, negativity is sneaky. It doesn't always show
- 4:57Speaker 3: up as someone yelling or being off obviously rude. Sometimes
- 5:02Speaker 3: it's quiet. It's the offhand comment that lingers, the scroll
- 5:08Speaker 3: through social media that leaves you feeling like you're not enough,
- 5:13Speaker 3: or even your own inner voice turning critical. When things
- 5:17Speaker 3: get tough and if we're not paying attention, we start
- 5:22Speaker 3: carrying that weight without realizing it. The key is realizing
- 5:27Speaker 3: that we have a choice in what we absorb. Just
- 5:31Speaker 3: because someone is having a bad day doesn't mean that
- 5:35Speaker 3: we have to take it personally. Just because the world
- 5:38Speaker 3: feels heavy doesn't mean we have to carry it all.
- 5:42Speaker 3: One simple practice, pause before you react. Ask yourself, is
- 5:48Speaker 3: this about me? Or is this about them? Is this
- 5:53Speaker 3: worth finding and holding onto? That tiny moment of awareness
- 5:58Speaker 3: can be the difference betwe between taking something in and
- 6:02Speaker 3: letting it pass through. It doesn't mean ignoring hard things
- 6:07Speaker 3: or pretending everything is fine. It just means protecting your
- 6:12Speaker 3: inner peace. You can still be kind, still be empathetic,
- 6:17Speaker 3: and still say this negativity doesn't belong to me. Listen
- 6:34Speaker 3: to and think about this. An entire ocean, an entire
- 6:40Speaker 3: sea of water, can't sink a ship unless it gets
- 6:45Speaker 3: inside the ship. Similarly, the negativity of the world can't
- 6:51Speaker 3: put you down unless you allow it to get inside you.
