A Pride flag was stolen off a front yard flagpole—along with a crumpled American flag—just before the U.S.’s 250th birthday. The homeowners, away visiting a solemn American cemetery in Luxembourg, had their property vandalized while they were gone. A neighbor stepped in to restore the American flag. The perpetrators, likely motivated by hate, targeted both the Pride flag—flying for the homeowners’ gay friends—and damaged a neighbor’s fence, possibly the same group.
